- Yesterday I spent a good bit of time on the phone with a lovely woman from Shopify, the e-commerce platform where I host my website (lisacantalupo..com) trying to solve the problem I'm having with FB and Instagram whom have blocked my website from their social media platforms. Sara was so very patient and jumped through some hoops in order to help me. - This morning, Christine from USPS's 800# spent some time trying to help me locate an order/package, divert it from being returned back to me in NH, and get it held at the correct post office location in Florida so that my customer can pick it up. She too was very kind and did her very best to offer great customer service. - Last evening I was up into the wee hours emailing with this customer. This morning, I was up very early trying to track down the package.I spent a good amount of time (1/2 or more) on hold listening to the music track on the phone system of USPS so I had some time to think about what I'm sharing with you now.... 👉 There is NO replacement for the human connection. And going above and beyond should be a standard we set for ourselves personally and in business. I know I will be. The rewards are too great not to. - SIDE NOTE and FYI: 🏆 The award for the BEST phone system music track goes to Shopify!!
