Using Shopify partner program, Shopify has introduced a group of e-commerce designers, developers, and marketers. Using this program Shopify helps to establish a good business relationship between Shopify partners and the merchants who are using Shopify for their business.

Shopify affiliate link
Once you sign up with Shopify partners account you can earn money by referring Shopify to any user through your link. Shopify will provide you a partner affiliate link. If a user buys a paid subscription of Shopify by clicking through your link, you will get the twice of the money they pay.
Shopify revenue sharing
In this Service, a partner can earn 20% of the revenue that Shopify earns from your client that you referred to Shopify. A partner can convince their client to use Shopify for their e-commerce store. And partners need to develop and design that store for clients. Once a partner develops a considerable amount of stores, they can obtain the title of Shopify experts too.
Many Shopify partners can develop custom applications and design themes for the Shopify theme store. They can earn by selling that apps and themes or they can earn by monthly subscription payments from Shopify.
What are Shopify partners and experts?
As we have explained above. Shopify partners are the developers, designers, individuals, or agencies who are generating revenue from the Shopify partner program.
Yet, Shopify experts have proven their track record with the clients. To become experts, a Shopify partner needs to show a minimum of 5 successful custom Shopify e-commerce store development projects. Shopify experts are categorized into different categories according to their expertise in different categories like Shopify setup, design, development, marketing, and photography.
What are the benefits of being a Shopify partner?
The main advantage of being a Shopify partner is, they can earn from the revenue that they helped Shopify to earn. And additional advantages like they have access to free training courses, and in-depth documentation, and other resources. It will help them learn a lot about Shopify. They will also have access to Shopify's insider information like previews of upcoming new Shopify features, Shopify's product road map, and Shopify's priority support for partners which provides quick solutions to all queries of partners or clients.

Setting up a domain for your store
Shopify gives you a free domain name that looks like this mygeoxis.myshopify.com. For branding purposes it is advisable to have a shorter domain name, preferably ".com" that people can easily remember. Customers can reach your store by typing in your domain name. You have two options for domain purchasing: Firstly you can buy a domain from Shopify and it will be added to your store automatically. This is the easiest option and it saves you time. Second option is to buy a domain from a third party but you will have to redirect the DNS records yourself. Branding: Free logo creation Shopify has a tool for free logo creation. I recommend using the free shopify theme called Brooklyn. It’s mobile responsive, fully supported by Shopify technical team and used by many online stores.
Setting up a shopify store
Before your site can go live we need to add a few more details about company and how you plan to make deliveries and pay tax. This section is all about the store settings you need to adjust. General Enter your business information. Store title, business address, unit and currency settings. Payment Providers An ecommerce payment gateway is a service that allows you to accept credit card payments securely online through your Shopify store. Shopify connects to over 70 different payment gateways across the world. Using Shopify Payments powered by Stripe and/or Paypal. Checkout Settings Set what customer information is collected during checkout, how the order is processed, and your return / terms and conditions. Shipping Shopify Admin helps you manage the delivery of your goods to your customers – a very important aspect of your business! You configure all your shipping settings, including features like free delivery or customer pickup, from your Shipping page. Taxes When your shop is first created, Shopify sets up some default tax rates for your own country (and its provinces, states, or territories, if applicable). They do their best to keep the default tax rates up to date, but you should double-check to make sure that they are current and correct. Gift Cards Gift cards provide a flexible way for your customers to purchase a gift for someone from your store, making it easy for them to share their love for your brand while also maintaining full freedom of choice. With Shopify, customers purchase gift cards the same way they purchase any other product. Notifications Choose what notifications are sent to you and your customers Files You can upload and manage all your images in one area. Sales Channels Shopify to sell your products using one or more online sales channels. Each place where you are selling is like a channel that flows into your business, helping customers from a variety of audiences find your products. Account Manage your user account settings and add new staff accounts to help you run your store. Billing Manage your billing information and update or upgrade your plan settings Legal You can generate some legal pages required for your store such as Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms of Services and Shipping Policy Navigation In order to give your customers access to all the pages, collections and blogs within your online store, you must link to each page in a central place. Your store’s most prominently featured navigation is the main menu. Create Collections A collection is any group of products (chosen by you) with some feature in common that customers might look for when visiting your store. Adding Products to your Store Products are the meat and potatoes of your store. Without products to sell, you can’t make any money! Products are often physical goods, but they can also be a digital download (such as a movie, music or ebook file), or a service (an extended warranty, equipment rental, customization of another product or work for hire). Shopify keeps track of all of your products and their inventory on your products page. Product Variants A product variant is a variation of a product in your store, with differences based on elements such as size, color, material, etc. Let’s say you have a store that sells t-shirts. You create your original product called “t-shirt,” and product variants allow you to advertise the different colors and sizes.
Going Live with Shopify Store

Tumblr media
The eCommerce industry indeed has grown above the expectation. And the pandemic of Covid-19 has even increased its demand. It is now evident that eCommerce is the future of all the retail. The sales of online sellers have seen a considerable peak. Due to the pandemic, more and more users are moving towards online shopping.
The businesses of giants like Amazon & Walmart are rapidly increasing. In such a phase, it's high time to get into the eCommerce business. Hence here we have discussed a few of the marketing strategies that will show good results in 2020. Let's discuss a few of the proven eCommerce marketing strategies that will deliver the great results in 2020,
SEO & blogging
This is one of the most obvious. According to the research, 93% of online experiences start with search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo. If you want to buy anything, where would you go? On Google right? If one's business is appearing on the first page of Google, there is more likelihood of the business to get more sales and conversions.
And the best way to achieve SEO rankings is through blogging. Create the most informative blog posts for your business. It increases your brand engagement and puts you in a better place in the market. Blogging also establishes your authority for your competitors. Write an in-depth keyword optimized blogs for your business. And get the best results for your business. SEO & blogging is an evergreen marketing strategy that will hold it's relevance forever. The means of doing SEO are changing, but its relevance is still intact.
Paid & free social media
Many of us are still at home. The culture of work from home has seen quite a boost. The total time spent on social media has increased. Social media has proven to deliver great brand awareness and conversion. If you have funds to conduct the paid marketing campaigns for social media, it's better to start conducting them. With the proper user targetting, well-written ad copy, graphics & videos, paid ads can surely deliver the great conversion and ROIs for your business.
Google shopping ads
Google shopping ads are also a great way of attracting major traffic to your website. When a user searches for their preferred products. And if your shopping ads appear with an attractive image, the users are more likely to click on your ad. According to the research, if the google shopping ad targetting is done right, it can deliver the ROIs up to 200%.
Website speed
The website speed does not directly affect your marketing. But it surely has relevance in increasing the conversion on your website. The website speed also one of the biggest search engine ranking factors too. The attention span of the users is decreasing. If your website takes more than three seconds to load, the users are more likely the press the back button. Hence without directly affecting your marketing, the website speeds maters lot.
Video marketing
Over the past few years, with the rise of YouTube and the OTT platforms, video marketing has seen the much-needed raise. The users are more drawn towards videos. The businesses can convey their message even better with the videos. The users like watching videos more than the text-based content. Create more and more content related to your products.
Try to include product illustration video with every product listing. Also, create how-to guides and product application based videos. And try to add a fun element with every video. It will stick users to watch more and more of your content. And the benefits will also directly appear on the sales and conversion of your products.
Influencer marketing
With the growth of Instagram, the influencers have also seen the rise. If your business is associated with consumer-based products, there are a plethora of influencers. Find the influencer that can associate with your business niche. Research well about the reputation of the influencer. And find the best ones that suit your business. The influencers have a large follower base. A short video by them showcasing your product can deliver a great ROI for your business. If possible, you can also make the result-oriented deals with influencers to market your products.
User-generated content (UGC)
User-generated Content is surely the best marketing strategy. Many tech brands and consumer products such as shoes, clothes, etc have gained great results from the user-generated content. If you are a clothing brand, you can encourage your customers to upload pictures wearing your product by tagging you. The same posts can be uploaded on your own social media handles too. The users trust UGC more than the company's own marketing material. So many brands have leveraged the UGC and gained great results with it.
The bottom line
Ecommerce marketing is one of the highly evolving fields. The proper marketing strategy can be implemented according to the types of business. The strategies such as well designed websites, email marketing, and shoppable social media also hold it's relevance. I hope this article will help you understand the several strategies of eCommerce marketing. And thanks for reading till the end.

It is a Mandate for Ecommerce Sites to Mention Product's Origin Country: Govt
Tumblr media
The government and citizens of India are pushing the trade and manufacturing of local products. The PM Modi has given the norm of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat"(self-reliant India) & "Make in India." Even many foreign companies such as Apple, Samsung, etc have established their manufacturing & assembling facilities in India.
The government is encouraging more and more foreign companies to come to India by providing many tax benefits. And in the attempt to promote the Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) and “Make in India” cause, the Government’s e-commerce Marketplace (GeM) has made it mandatory for the sellers to mention ‘country of origin’ on their market place.
All the new sellers registering on the marketplace will compulsorily include the Country of origin. And the sellers who are already registered with the marketplace are now getting a regular warning to mention the product origin country or their products will get removed.
The buyers on the platform will be able to see the percentage of Indian components available in the products. And there will be even a search filter of “Make in India.” Applying this filter will help visitors see the products with local preferences.
The platform has divided suppliers & products into classes. The Class One local supplier includes products with a minimum of 50% local content. Class two suppliers include products with a minimum of 20% local content. For the bids below 200 crores, only class one & two suppliers are eligible to bid, with the purchase preference for class one suppliers.
The Rashtriya Svayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) with the affiliation of Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) has also requested the government to make it mandate for private eCommerce websites like Flipkart & Amazon to mention the country origin of their products too. Hence the users will be able to understand, are the products of Chinese origin or Indian?
SJM co-convener Ashwani Mahajan has appreciated the move of GeM. And also mentioned that the same rule should be applied to private eCommerce sites too. They must mention “country of origin” with each of their products. Such a request comes ahead of the Commerce and Industry Ministry's meeting with e-commerce players to discuss the same cause. The representatives from eCommerce companies such as Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Nykaa, Pepperfry, and eBay will attend the meeting.
The border dispute between China & India is also getting deadly turns. The demand for Boycotting Chinese products is increasing from the many parts of India. And the government is also boosting the self-reliance and make in India movement.
The opportunity for the Indian sellers
If the result of the meeting makes it mandate for the eCommerce giants, then the many local sellers will be empowered. It will be an opportunity for the local sellers to come with even better products for the end-users. Create more useful products for end-users. Create products that are cost-friendly, durable, and can give strong competition to foreign products. They should try to solve the day to day problems of the users with products.
In the end, it all boils down to usability and cost-effectiveness of the products. Many Chinese companies have established their monopoly in several product domains. With better product quality and the most aggressive pricing, they have dominated the industries, including smartphones, laptops, electronic chips, and many more consumer products.
It’s time for the Indian entrepreneurs to come forward and deliver the robust end products for the users. With the initiatives of self-reliance and make in India, the government is already promoting India made products. It's time to create complete Indian products. In the electronics sector, it is not possible to use 100% of India made components. Still, the gap can be filled by establishing advanced manufacturing facilities, skilled workforce, and better financing.
And if we talk about, the industrial sectors such as apparel, cosmetics, cutlery, lighting appliances, and many more household appliances, these sectors have a bright future. The small & medium-sized entrepreneurs can create great products for such industrial sectors. The 1.35 billion worth Indian market is open for the Indian merchants. It is an opportunity for them, create products that are worth buying.
In the end, let us mention a bit about our selves. At Softpulse Infotech, we create great eCommerce experiences for our clients. Through the blog section of our website, we regularly keep our website visitors updated with the latest industry news, trends, and tips.
