Hi, hope you are doing well :) I was rereading the T$$ chapter Punching Bags and Sahota's threats got me wondering if he had ever actually tortured anyone or does Vic usually take that job if needed? Thank you for all the writing, it's incredible!
Hi, thanks for the ask!
Although Sahota has technically tortured others before, the threats he makes in that chapter are exaggerated. Partly because at that point, it's the first time in years he's been given power over another person (or group of people) like this, and he's feeling things out in the way he's been taught, and partly because he's certain that will be the outcome if Benji (or anyone else) openly defies or betrays Vic.
Sahota and Vic's mission success largely depends on them getting in and out of a dangerous situation as quickly as possible. Sometimes that means grabbing a guard and breaking a few fingers, a strategy that's not exactly reliable, but they'll go there as a last resort. They've never taken a captive long-term, (at least Sahota hasn't) but Sahota has firsthand experience as a victim in that sort of situation, so his threats (and fears) aren't unfounded

that worst finale poll is feeding me so well. I love reading about trainwrecks in shows I've never watched and going 'wow, really dodged a bullet there!' it's like the inverse of how bad it feels to see spoilers for shows you like.
