zuko: zukka! for me the simplest way to explain why i find the ship so compelling is that they have similar struggles (their relationships with masculinity, feelings of inadequacy compared to their prodigy younger sister, etc) and interests (swords, literature, general nerdiness, etc) that they can bond over, and yet have opposing flaws (sokka's perfectionism vs zuko's impulsivity, sokka's pessimism vs zuko's almost naïve idealism, sokka's emotional repression vs zuko's oversharing tendencies, etc) that they can help each other improve with.

sokka: also zukka of course, but sukka invented bi4bi relationships and yuekka is thee epic romance of atla.

zuko: zvtara, because 1. their relationship is more compelling to me if i read them as siblings, 2. they're so similar in ways i think would not be conducive to a healthy relationship, and 3. zuko gay. & maik0, because imo their romance is super compelling precisely because they're both gay and not good for each other, and how their relationship therefore showcases the fire nation's repressive nature and mai and zuko's responses to it.

zuko: god there are so many to choose from... i'm gonna go with katara for now. i love their relationships so so much. siblings, besties, the ultimate straight-girl-and-her-gbf (with the same taste in guys...) friendship.

sokka: i'm gonna go with katara for this one too! they are truly the best siblings ever, individually and as a set.

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with

how could i choose just one but:

zuko: that he's “the responsible one” whether that's in the gaang or in his relationship with sokka. like this isn't so much a headcanon as it is a complete misreading of his character but uuuugh it annoys me so much

sokka: that he becomes an ambassador to the fire nation... like there are so many things he would do that are not that. he should travel, go to university, become a pai sho master, invent new scientific fields, write poetry, and yes, he would help zuko (and katara) with their jobs leading nations. but often “ambassador sokka” is just a more polite sounding way of saying “prince consort sokka” which is. disgusting & racist

the first thing that comes to mind is this..... idk if “inside joke” is even the right term for it, it's too convoluted for that.. that an irl friend and i have about zuko & sokka as ryan & chad in high school musical 2. like their characters aren't even that similar but. it's a whole thing that this friend and i have spent several hours of our lives talking about.

I'm pretty sure none of the Eternals would just straight murder someone for asking about their intel. Depending on who's asking, how and why, I'm sure they'd share some declassified files or what have you. I'm sure they have that and if not, the leadership would change that

Anre seems like a good person to talk to when in doubt, if only because it's implied that he's one of the people on the team who gets around the most. Not to mention, he's had more time to explore the world just based on age alone. I'm sure he'd be the most knowledgeable and happy to share, too

The idea of Cammy getting brought on to help with restoring an old library sounds like an interesting idea for a plot, though that sort of thing strikes me more as a request regular Skyfarers would receive and not necessarily an Eternals-level threat. When in doubt, try to have a good relationship with Siero, she has all the deets

Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense! I think the feelings from "and you" are still strong, because I forgot how actually non-murdery the Eternals are now that they're all together and not dealing with these huge crises on their own.

Cammy is definitely not a danger in Anre's eyes, if anything he'd maybe find her/her friends useful for Port Breeze intel...? He and Siero would be great assets (in fact, Siero being Siero she probably knows Cammy and set up her and Belial meeting in some small way). Of the bunch, besides maybe Seofon I think Anre would feel most approachable to Cammy too.

I think so too, so it's just a fun "maybe a plot, maybe not" for now. That Skyfarers have such varied requests is such a fun detail that really makes GBF's world pop! There could even be crews that specialize in specific requests, kinda like the Eternals but on a smaller scale. (Actually, we've met crews like that before in-game, haven't we? Maybe I'm just thinking of Sho's gang.)

If you're wondering why I Labrys' weapon is drawn separately (and incomplete) when Sho's doesn't, I kinda screwed up during the process and forgot to draw their weapon, so I decided to draw them separately and attach them later. Sho's is kinda easier to attach, but not Labrys' and I got lazy during her part and just... decided to only complete the part that's gonna be visible. Then I attached her weapon separately when editing the game layout. Lol.
