Famous Temple Of Rajasthan, (Rajasthan Devdarshan)
Tumblr media
Rajasthan, known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and royal heritage, is also home to some of India’s most magnificent temples. These temples are not only architectural marvels but also spiritual sanctuaries, attracting visitors from across the world. Here’s a look at some of the most famous temples in Rajasthan, each reflecting the state’s glorious legacy and profound spiritual traditions.
1. Dilwara Temples, Mount Abu
The Dilwara Temples, located in Mount Abu, are a group of five Jain temples renowned for their stunning marble architecture and intricate carvings. Built between the 11th and 13th centuries, the temples showcase exquisite craftsmanship with detailed carvings on pillars, ceilings, and walls. The most famous of the Dilwara temples is the Vimal Vasahi Temple, dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. The delicate marble work and precision of design make it a prime example of Jain architecture and devotion.
2. Brahma Temple, Pushkar
The Brahma Temple in Pushkar is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. This ancient temple, believed to be over 2000 years old, is surrounded by myths and legends. Its red spire and distinct architecture make it easily recognizable. The Pushkar Lake, adjacent to the temple, holds significant religious importance, especially during the annual Pushkar Camel Fair, when thousands of pilgrims visit to take a holy dip in the lake and offer prayers at the Brahma Temple.
3. Govind Dev Ji Temple, Jaipur
Located in the City Palace complex in Jaipur, the Govind Dev Ji Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Built during the reign of Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century, the temple features a simple yet elegant design. The idol of Lord Krishna in this temple is believed to have been brought from Vrindavan and holds great reverence among the devotees. The temple is especially lively during Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, attracting devotees and tourists alike.
4. Karni Mata Temple, Deshnoke
Located in Deshnoke, near Bikaner, the Karni Mata Temple is unique and famous for its association with rats. The temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, a revered sage believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple houses thousands of rats, considered sacred and known as "kabbas." Devotees believe that spotting a white rat is highly auspicious. The temple’s intricate silver gates and marble carvings add to its allure, making it a unique pilgrimage site in Rajasthan.
5. Eklingji Temple, Udaipur
The Eklingji Temple, located about 22 kilometers from Udaipur, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and serves as the presiding deity of the Mewar dynasty. Built in the 8th century, the temple complex comprises 108 small temples, each showcasing splendid architecture. The main deity, a four-faced idol of Lord Shiva, is crafted in black marble. The temple attracts devotees, particularly during Maha Shivaratri, when it is decorated with flowers, and grand rituals are performed.
6. Ranakpur Jain Temple
The Ranakpur Jain Temple, located between Jodhpur and Udaipur, is dedicated to Lord Adinath and is one of the most prominent Jain temples in Rajasthan. Built in the 15th century, the temple is famous for its 1444 marble pillars, each uniquely carved. The intricate detailing of the pillars and the serene ambiance of the temple attract not only devotees but also architecture enthusiasts.

Hello 👋
This is a bit controversial question Can you also post about when can we water shivling. Thank you!!
This is such an interesting question. IDK if it's controversial but the priest in the temple near my home often tells that people should not water shivling in the evening but I think that you can water shivling anytime. I read Shiv Purana and Vigyan Bhairava Tantra and it all explains that God is beyond time they're not time bound. They're not bound with anything at all. That's why we say God is with us 24x7. We are with God 24x7 and can worship them anytime. And in Shiv Purana it's mentioned that you should water shivling in midnight but at that time most temples are closed 😅 you can get or make a shivling on your own and pray at home, make a small one and do offer water in midnight 😃 Also in Shiv Tandav stotram where Ravana mentioned that Pradosh kaal too is the best time. It's the 1 hour time after sunset. People in my hometown offer water to shivling anytime too 😅 I wish that people follow what's actually God want. We are Universe. If we are God then would we ever stop anyone from praying to us anytime? No! so God never ever stopped anyone to worship or offer water in specific time. It's just that as the time moves forward and yuga changes the people writing these scriptures changes it's real meaning. Understanding God is easy yet difficult at the same time but they never ever stopped anyone to worship or offer water in evening at least. 🙂

Finding Narmadeshwar Shivling Near Me
Tumblr media
Narmadeshwar Shivling, also known as Banalinga, is a revered representation of Lord Shiva, traditionally found in the Narmada River in India. These shivlings are highly revered in Hinduism for their spiritual significance and natural formation. If you are looking to find or purchase a Narmadeshwar Shivling near you, here’s a brief guide on where to look and what to consider:
Local Temples and Spiritual Stores
Temples:
Many Hindu temples have Narmadeshwar Shivlings as part of their sanctum. Visiting local temples and inquiring with the priests can provide information on where you might obtain one.
Some temples also have small stores or stalls that sell religious items, including shivlings.
Spiritual and Religious Stores:
Look for stores that specialize in religious and spiritual items. These stores often carry a variety of shivlings, including Narmadeshwar Shivlings.
Ask the store owners about the origin and authenticity of the shivling to ensure you are getting a genuine piece.
Online Stores and Marketplaces
E-commerce Platforms:
Websites like shivanshnarmadashivling , Amazon, Flipkart, eBay and etc offer Narmadeshwar Shivlings. Read product descriptions, reviews, and ratings to ensure quality and authenticity.
Check for seller ratings and customer feedback to avoid counterfeit products.
Specialized Online Stores:
Websites dedicated to religious and spiritual products, such as Rudraksha Ratna or Diviniti, often have a wide selection of authentic Narmadeshwar Shivlings.
These sites typically provide detailed information about the shivlings, including their origin, size, and spiritual benefits.
Artisan Markets and Fairs
Local Artisan Markets:
Visit local artisan markets or fairs where craftsmen and sellers display various religious artifacts. You may find Narmadeshwar Shivlings crafted by local artisans.
Engage with the artisans to learn about the making process and ensure the authenticity of the shivling.
Religious Fairs and Festivals:
Attend religious fairs and festivals, especially those dedicated to Lord Shiva, such as Maha Shivaratri. These events often have stalls selling various religious items, including shivlings.
Considerations When Purchasing a Narmadeshwar Shivling
Authenticity:
Ensure that the shivling is sourced from the Narmada River and is naturally formed. Authentic Narmadeshwar Shivlings have smooth, polished surfaces and distinct markings.
Avoid artificially made or modified shivlings, as they do not carry the same spiritual significance.
Size and Quality:
Choose a size that fits your worship space and personal preference. Smaller shivlings are easier to handle and maintain, while larger ones are typically used in temples.
Inspect the quality for any cracks or imperfections that might affect its spiritual value.
Pricing:
Prices can vary based on size, quality, and origin. Compare prices from different sellers to ensure you are getting a fair deal.
Be wary of overly cheap shivlings, as they may not be authentic.
Tumblr media
Finding a Narmadeshwar Shivling near you involves a combination of visiting local religious stores, exploring online options, and participating in religious events. By considering authenticity, quality, and price, you can ensure that you acquire a genuine and spiritually significant shivling.

Karni Mata Temple In Bikaner, (Rajasthan Devdarshan)
Tumblr media
The Karni Mata Temple, located in Deshnok, 30 kilometers from Bikaner, Rajasthan, is one of the most fascinating temples in India. Known as the "Rat Temple," it stands out for its unique tradition of revering rats, which are considered sacred and auspicious. Dedicated to Karni Mata, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, the temple attracts thousands of devotees and curious visitors every year.
The Legend of Karni Mata
Karni Mata, a revered 14th-century mystic and spiritual guide, is believed to have divine powers. According to legend, when one of her devotees’ sons died, she tried to bring him back to life. However, Lord Yama, the god of death, refused. Karni Mata then granted a boon that her clan members would be reincarnated as rats and would eventually be reborn as humans. This belief is the foundation of the temple’s unique practice.
The Sacred Rats
The temple is home to over 25,000 black rats, referred to as kabas. These rats are believed to be the reincarnations of Karni Mata’s devotees. They roam freely within the temple premises and are fed milk, grains, and sweets by the priests and visitors. Devotees consider it a blessing to spot a rare white rat among them, which is believed to be an incarnation of Karni Mata herself or her sons.
Architectural Marvel
Constructed in the Mughal style, the temple features intricate marble carvings, silver doors, and a grand entrance gate. The inner sanctum houses an idol of Karni Mata adorned with a crown and garlands. The temple’s architecture beautifully complements its spiritual significance.
Festivals and Celebrations
The temple comes alive during the annual Karni Mata Fair, held twice a year in March-April and September-October, coinciding with the Navratri festival. Devotees gather in large numbers to seek blessings and participate in rituals.
A Unique Experience
Visiting the Karni Mata Temple is an unparalleled experience, offering a glimpse into Rajasthan's spiritual and cultural diversity. While the idea of coexisting with thousands of rats may seem daunting, the temple’s serene and sacred atmosphere leaves visitors in awe of its devotion and unique traditions.
The Karni Mata Temple is a testament to the profound faith and rich folklore that define Rajasthan, making it a must-visit destination for pilgrims and travelers alike.
