literally everything i'm thinking about is going on here im not even processing it im just typing sorry for any typos there will be many😭

starting off strong with mr grian minecraft himself (oh wow what a surprise /s)

he tried piercing his own nose in highschool. like. he was THE teenage dirtbag. sneaking out, drinking, smoking, shitty garage band that got nowhere (yes the bad boys was a garage band you c ant change my mind), mcr, pierce the veil, paramore, sexuality and gender crisis, "i know a guy", shoplifting, skipping class, you name it be probably did it with jimmy and joel during freshmen-sophomore year

pearl is his sister, jimmy and lizzie are his cousins (older cousins i should specify. him and pearl are twins but she's the older twin) and they went to the same high school. he met joel through lizzie and jimmy and joel and grian all clicked instantly

joel would stay at jimmy and grians place so much to the point it was like a second home to him and they would all hang out in the basement. joel stayed with his grandparents and helped them out a lot but they passed while he was in his bad boys phase and so he just stayed at grians place a whole lot during his depression (don't worry he's fine now just a little fucked up but they all are)

grian and pearls parents were kinda really shitty (yes i'm also counting yhs lore fuck uou) his whole life and so they got taken by cps and they lived with jimmy and lizzie's parents. and they were much better until he went to japan and all that shit happened (iykyk)

sam made him really realize that like. "oh my fucking god i'm gay. and it's for a damn sociopath. fuck." (that's like half canon)

he and taurtis DID hook up every tuesday thumbs up emoji

his wings didn't start growing in until AFTER senior year (so post japan/yhs incident)

the yhs holds a ceremony thingy for all the people that passed during all that shit and he goes every year and still has rowens glasses and ran into taurtis one year and it was awkward as HELLL but like. it wasn't an awful experience neither of them knew what to say. especially taurtks is bc by then grians wings had already fully grown in and his ass DID NOT recognize him💀

oh yeah also the four of the cousins are all winged animals so grians a parrot, pearl is a moth but like she's one of the super fluffy one (i forgot what they're called), jimmy is a canary (for obvious reasons), and lizzie is a flamingo because. fuck it (also half canary too it's from their mom) but she doesn't have as many features as the others

they all grow feathers (except for pearl) when they're stressed or feel a heightened emotion and have the little winged ears. they still do have actual ears but they grew in behind they're human ears and pearl has the little antennae things on top of her head. lizzie's kind of blends into her hair since yk. pink on pink and they're more folded then fanned out(?) if that makes sense?😭

jimmy was an early bloomer while grian was a late bloomer (i'm talking about wing/feather wise)

also just thought abt something grian jimmy and joel all had matching (infected and now faded) stick and poke tattoos that read "bad boys, today, tomorrow and yesterday" but that last part is faded completely since they ran out of pen ink halfway through and jimmys mom came home and they didn't wanna get in trouble (also yes their tattoos are in the same spot as each others it's on the right side of their chest) and let me TELL YOU. lizzie makes fun of joel TO THIS DAY about that tattoo and she likes to trace the words with her finger sometimes when they're cuddling, humming their old songs (he hates it but she still thinks it's absolutely adorable)

grian and mumbo are middle school best friends and he knows everything that happened to grian when he was in japan

grian, scar and mumbo all went to the same high school and mumbo and scar tried making a baking club called (you're never gonna believe this) the buttercups but grian was supposedly "too cool for that fairy shit" but would hang out during lunch with them and go to the meetings and help buy the ingredients and also help bake with them for extra credit and so would jimmy and joel. for extra credit of course

tango, mumbo and impulse were all in the computer club and coding club in highschool. doc was their teacher and cub was the senior teachers assistant trying to get early college credit

jimmy had the FATTEST crush on tango while they were in high school (yes they all went to the same highschool shut up) and tried impressing him by "making" a robot (mumbo made it and gave him the remote and told him to push two single buttons) and he pushed them in the wrong order and it short circuited and it almost exploded. he got suspended for a month and the only reason he didn't get expelled was because tango said it was his and it was a project. he complemented "jimmys" robot and said it had nice coding and a bunch of other nerd /aff terms that didn't make ANY sense to jimmy (that was his way of confessing but jimmys too stupid /aff to understand it at the moment so tango thought he didn't like him back) and when jimmy was talking to grian and joel about it they were yelling at him about how "JIMMY YOU IDIOT HE LIKES YOU BACK" and "WHAT'D YOU SAY? YOU SAID YOU LIKED HIM TOO RIGHT?" to which he (of course) responded with

"NO?? I DONT SPEAK NERD JOEL HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW??"

also tango wears a feather jimmy gave to him as an earring and has kept that earring since they started going out which was like sophomore year or smth like that

they also had an exact conversation to joel before lizzie asked him out (and she also proposed too fight me)

i can go on for HOURS about those three but i'm gonna a do stuff about martyn now because. omg. he drives me CRAZY

also just realizing how most of these are just high school head canons. sorry (no i'm not)

everyone in school always thought that the bad boys were the mean bullies bc they wore leather jackets and studs and cuffs and blah blah blah but in reality they were just the dorky, socially anxious losers that were loud in class because they all adhd. not because they were asshole

martyn and scott were the ones you had to worry about (mostly scott actually but martyn would be a passive aggressive bully)

those little twits had an actual burn book. martyn. the almost loser that pierced his own ears, causing them to get infected but refused to take them out because he wanted to match with his fellow mean gill and wore anime shirts to sleep and doc martins (only because they had his name in it dont praise him he was a loser /aff) wrote "annoying dorks" in the burn book page dedicated to the bad boys. he had NO ROOM to talk and i find that hilarious bc him and jimmy were actually really close and he ate the page. yes. he ate the page in front of scott's face after an argument to prove a point and scott has never respected another person more in his life

i also felt like it was important that martyn and scott got voted prom king and queen

martyn LOVES necklaces, rings, bracelets. he has a matching necklace and/or bracelet with all his four (4) friends that consisted of scott and the bad boys. he still has them as an adult and holds onto the charm when he misses them which is all the time (i love martyn angst evil laugh)

ykw fuck it he still wears the necklaces and tucks them under his shirt, he asked everyone else if they still had theirs and it either broke or they lost it

hmm. do you realise why it’s not the same thing as casting white actors to play non-white roles? because white people are… so not underrepresented in hollywood. one of the main issues with casting white actors to play non-white characters is that it’s taking away the limited number of non-white roles in hollywood movies from actors of colour, who generally have a harder time being cast in leading roles. the same is not true for white actors.

in general, these adaptations are horrendous when it comes to accuracy for the period. i assume you have equal issue with, say, the wrong kind of armour being used? i just think we need to recognise that these films are primarily made for entertainment, not to be textually and historically perfect. unless EVERYTHING about the set, costuming, writing, etc is perfectly historically accurate, why does it MATTER that much if a person of colour plays a white role? who cares that achilles was black in troy fall of a city? the actor played the role well! it was good casting! is the colour of an actor’s skin really the thing that makes or breaks casting? is it ‘race-swapping’, or is it just casting the best actor who auditioned for the role?

and tbh, the fact that you’re so deeply concerned about people knowing that mediterraneans are white is pretty telling…

No I don't. I think that the same way you wish to cast a person accurately when it comes to non-European roles the same goes with European parts. You cannot have it only in one way. And "under represented" will not be solved by race swapping characters (again that goes BOTH ways). If you want to represent an ethnicity you make a movie that honors that ethnicity. Greek actors are also underrepresented that doesn't mean that I would want a random person from an African or an Asian culture to be race-swapped to greek to...honor Greeks. In fact I would be insulted if they did that. I want Greeks to play their parts the same way that any other ethnicities deserves their chance to be powerful in their own context.

I disagree. With the same logic just because one part is not done properly does that mean we say for the rest "fuck it" and not do it right? Why is it always the same speech that "is entertainment and not made to be accurate" when it comes to greece or Europe in general but hell breaks loose in all the others? Aren't those entertainment too? Doesn't one movie deserve solid casting because costumes will be horrendous? What kind of logic is this?

Like I said ALL movies deserve good casting. Obviously i do not expect perfection in every aspect given that it is entertainment and not documentary and I shall still speak on those that I dislike too. That doesn't mean that the one doesn't deserve attention just because the other doesn't get it.

Then who cares if a random character is race swapped? Again I love it that the mental gymnastics happen here like "who cares if Achilles is black" and the when the queen of Sheba was miscast people get to lose their shit. If one is racist so is the other. And if you claim that suddenly such a great production couldn't find the best person for the role that also LOOKS like their pwrt and then some random guy showed up and played well and people are like "nope no more auditions" then we are even more deceiving ourselves than I thought. Good cast is also the guy that fits the part. That cast was deliberate to look so.

If uou don't believe that then do not complain for "under representation" because someone could say the same thing that the old Hollywood only casted the best. Obviously that is not true. The same goes with this case. And both are equally wrong.

“the vision.. isn’t visioning- this stupid guitar” you grumbled, roughly setting the guitar down onto the ground by your feet. your notes app was opened on your phone, disregarded to the side of the couch. phoebe walked over, sitting down beside you. “im sure it is-“

“it’s really not.” you cut phoebe off with a heavy sigh as uou ran a hand through your hair in frustration. it wasn’t working and it had you stressed- nothing was working. everything was wrong. lyrics written in the notes app but no cords or pattern seemed to fit the vibe. you gave up

“the struggles of being a musician. we’ve all been there.” phoebe chuckled to herself. picking up the acoustic guitar and propping it into her lap. she busied herself by messing around with chords she heard you play.

“how can you just..pick up from me and create a good melody? why doesn’t it work for me?” you huffed in defeat, slouching back on the couch, eyes scanning phoebe, analysing what she’s doing.

Honestly I'm really glad you ramble about dirkhal so often, I don't Mind examining characters via how they experience intimacy and sex (hell, it can be super fascinating and i love a hood character analysis in my smut fic) but a lot of people Solely do that. oryx because i've been thinking about him lately... he's a doctor, so very analytical and has similar interests to mel (though he LOATHES that fact.) often reads nonfiction, usually factual things like studies of the brain and soul magic. despite being a physical doctor, he reads a LOT about mental disorders & the like. if you asked him what stories he liked, in terms of fictional ones... he'd probably like something like evangelion. he'd definitely watch house md, and find the medical practices funny. though again, humans don't really exist in this era so house md wouldnt.,... like.,......happen . eva either. but like HYPOTHETICALLY. you know.

mel will read anything and everything. stories, anatomical reference books, automotive mechanic books, pre-koboreal invasion literature, fucking give him a 600 page book on cleaning bathroom floor tiles he Will Read It. he wants to KNOW shit. he fucking HATES movies, but because he's a contrarian there are some instances where he'll watch them. he can't sit still long enough to watch entire hour long movies/episodes etc but if you give him something to do while listening in the bg he'll be set for life. he's ME so he'd watch what i watch, mp100, dunmeshi, murder drones (he would LOVE murder drones. ep 4 would make him hungry for oil, which is dangerous because he works as a mechanic on occasion LOL) you could never get him to admit it but he's probably watched twilight. he's a vampire and he LOVES wolves. draco is illiterate. she's not stupid, but she, similarly to me, struggles in investing herself in a story unless she really clicks with it/its characters or story. she probably likes MAKING stories more than reading them, honestly... the issue with that though is that she can't write because of her claws. she's too insecure about her own opinions to think too hard about characters & stories and even MORE so to even share them, but maybe at some point she read with magmivit, & they helped her write! you gotta consider she was living away from civilization with nothing & no one but her freak ass of a mom & crazy bitch dad out in the woods, she never had stories, so she really likes them. she'd much rather cozy up and struggle to read a book than go out and do something on her own, unless the "doing something" involved being useful for others. stories that are more blunt & obvious in their delivery but still handle mature themes would be good for her... atla, mlp, guardians of gahoole would be good for her. i think she'd like warrior cats if it didn't make her sad.

Satoru glanced down to follow Sukuna’s gaze and saw red, a lot of it, seeping across his torso. The earth shifted, and Satoru found himself in freefall, falling, falling, into the inky dark.

No longer the strongest, no longer Satoru Gojo, or the Six Eyes, no longer anything, alone, once more—

Satoru jolted upright in bed with a start, breathing hard, drenched in a cold sweat that plastered his t-shirt to his skin. He closed his eyes and let the rest of that dark unreality wash through him, unpleasant though it was, breathing deeply until his shoulders relaxed. No way out of this hell but through.

The covers beside him rustled, the bedroom suddenly bathed in soft orange light. Shoko’s hand covered his, gentle but firm, an extension of the faith she had in him.

The first night had been rough. In his panic, Satoru had nearly killed her, awakening to find his hands wrapped around her throat because she’d come running to help. She’d refused any apology that consisted of him wallowing instead of working through it. Now here he was, five months down, making inroads towards what he hoped was recovery, and they no longer needed Yuta or Yuji on standby to hold him down when the night terrors happened. He’d asked Yuta to see if he could see Miguel about the black rope, and Yuta said no, insinuating that Satoru would enjoy it too much, the little shit.

Shoko lay on her side facing Satoru, a clarity in her gaze suggesting that she’d been awake well before he’d come to. Her hand slid up to squeeze his arm. “Hey.”

“I’m okay,” Satoru told her. He rolled his eyes. “Just Sukuna’s ugly mug. Sorry for waking ya.” If there was anyone in more need of sleep than him, it was her, and that was without factoring in the Infirmary.

“Starting to wonder if I should be jealous,” Shoko said. Satoru gagged. She chuckled, stroking his arm while he rolled his eyes. “And you’re off the hook for once.”

When Satoru tilted his head at her, she directed Satoru’s hand to her swollen belly. Satoru stilled, inhaling sharply as he felt the tiny kicks against his palm. Strong, sure.

His face split into a smile, taking it in. Even with his teleporting, he always managed to miss out when they happened. He was starting to think he was destined to miss out on this milestone.

Shoko sighed, closing her eyes. “It’s definitely a boy,” she said.

“I thought you didn’t want to find out.”

“I don’t. Call it an…” Shoko yawned hugely. “An evidence-based hunch.”

“Evidence.” Satoru snorted.

Shoko shrugged, her eyes still closed. “Only boys have ever given me a hard time.”

Satoru smirked at her. “I distinctly remember someone enjoying the ‘hard time’ I gave her a few hours ago.” He leaned down and kissed her. “Maybe someone needs a refresher,” he teased. 

“Threaten me with a good time,” Shoko murmured against his mouth. She was snoring before he could make good on that threat, which Satoru found much too hilarious to be even a little annoyed about.

Just one of the pitfalls of ‘happily ever after’ he supposed.

im not trying to tumblrify this mental illness. im showing how it feels for me. its ugly. its reliving terrible memories you cant remember, its nausea, its emotional flashbacks that make you mentally catatonic for hours on end, its gaslighting yourself, its crying over feeling like the most broken piece of shit thats ever existed, its your brain having all these roads like something outta a doctor suess book or some shit and you get a stomachache from needing to choose one for the day or hour or second, its being dissociated for your entire life bc its too painful to be aware so much so that you just…dont remember how to undo that.

but, eventually you figure out the name for it and you figure, hey, maybe you arent as broken as you think.
