This is an AU ive been head over heels for weeks now. This is a pirate/gothic/paranormal/victorian era universe where Bilbo is a a british aristocrat that dwells in writing but never publishes anything. Recently there has been odd disturbances in his home that nothing rational could explain, there was a paranormal presence living in his house. Bilbo later finds out that the ghost of a once great pirate was haunting his home, a soul that is bound to forever wander the living world in the same state that it died. Thorin, the pirate ghost, lost his entire crew to Smaug, an enemy to his family. He died in a public execution done by Smaug himself and his crew. Because of the grief and guilt, he is unable to find peace until he was brought to London in 1790 where he is supposed to get help from Bilbo to finally free his soul from the guilt. This is all i have at the moment and i honeslty dont know how far this au will go but i do have high hopes for it. So tell me if this au specifically would be interesting for yal!
The materials used to create this sketchbook spread:
-Prisma colour coloured pencils
-0.9 mm staedtler mechanical pencil
-watercolour pencils (for sketching)

my love for foppish fictional men truly knows no bounds
[image description: two drawings focusing on flavio from paper mario: the thousand-year door. the first picture of flavio singing, drawn in a simple, sketchy style. the second drawing is a comic. the first panel shows mario and goombella sitting across from flavio, who has a dreamy expression on his face and is saying, "we shall gather a crew and set off on a journey of romance!". the second panel is of goombella replying by saying "yknow that there are only male sailors in rogueport, right?", with a note below that panel saying "shes a lesbian shes just also homophobic". the third panel is of flavio looking confused, followed by the final panel of flavio in front of a rainbow background as he says "yes? does flavio stutter??". end id]

For those who didnt know, tomatoes were first brought to Europe from South America in the 16th century, but up until the 19th century it was esteemed as a poisonous plant since many aristocrats died from consuming it. Instead it was used as decor in a garden. So the idea for the comic is Bilbo showing Thorin, a pirate ghost, his garden and arrive at the multitude of tomato bushes. Bilbo exclaims how pretty the fruit is meanwhile Thorin is questioning Bilbo's sanity as to why is he describing food as beautiful.
