I need more people to watch 12 Monkeys because it's so good and I need more people to squee with!

Also more people need to know Jennifer Goines, Deacon, and Dr. Katarina Jones.

Decon is also the reason why I don’t hate-hate Shaw from Picard season 3, but also I’m amused at his IMO out sized popularity outside of tumblr. Because for me Shaw is Deacon-lite.

Deacon started out as one of the bad guys and I love that he gets dragged kicking and screaming into becoming one of the good guys — that he was like someone with nine lives and he keeps almost getting killed.

And in a show with great relationships:

Jennifer and Deacon were among the BEST:

One of the best love stories. It doesn’t matter if they’re contemporaries or Jennifer is Old!Jennifer. They always work.

It’s so interesting that Team Splinter — who are so broken without each other form such a strong family bond, and they’re all out of time. But even when time gets fixed they still found each other.

1. I have never in my entire life been more excited to see an episode of anything as I am to see the finale. The way they talk about it and describe it is incredible... 

2. Alisen Down loves Olivia so much and almost cried talking about her and now I love Alisen Down so much ahaha 

3. I think Deacon is going to be a key player in this season and do something drastic and I'm not sure what but damn I'm excited. Also, him and Emily talking about their relationship is so nice I love them so much.

my favorite female character

As much as I love love LOVE Dr. Katarina Jones (I think she’s really cool), as brilliant of a villain as Olivia was, and as funny and sad and generally awesome as Jennifer is... I’m Basic. I'm going to say Cassie. And I don’t really know what makes her special. But I love that she feels like a very human character. I love that she is introduced as a practical, logical doctor but she’s not cold. She’s always written as a woman who has emotional needs as well. I love seeing her shut down and compartmentalize in order to adjust and cope with the apocalypse and then to find her way back to a place where she can hang on to her humanity even when she doesn’t have hope. I love seeing her many sides and the beautiful, messy tension between them.

my favorite male character

Cole. I mean, it just has to be Cole. Shock. I picked Cassie and Cole. The “basic” main characters. I’m basic okay. His whole redemption arc is *chef’s kiss* I love how he says he knows he doesn’t deserve forgiveness, but in the end his sins are erased... he also goes on such a journey from a nihilistic survivor to a hopeful romantic back to depressed puppy to an accepting man who takes responsibility and leadership and is willing to sacrifice himself for others. HE’S ALSO A PRECIOUS DORK.

my favorite book/season/etc

I have to say my favourite season is..... *screams* THE WHOLE THING??? I can’t just??? PICK IT APART??? It’s such a cohesive show that my favorite parts are little pieces in each season that all fit together.

I’ve spent like 10 minutes thinking about this. the 4 seasons really do all work better within context.

Season 1 is such a good world-building, character setup and I love the bread and butter stuff... and the fact that it foreshadows SO MUCH, but maybe it’s not quite as “intense” as the other seasons. It just pulls me in. 

Season 2 is rough for Cassie, and explores primaries more which was a weird concept at first... but it has some of my favourite episodes/ship moments.

Season 3 makes me think of pain, but kinda in a good way. I love seeing Cassie and Cole together, but somehow some of the episodes are all good, but they don’t immediately standout to me. Plus Olivia

And season 4 had some kinda campy episodes that were fun but a little over-the-top... but also I loved how fairytalish it was and it had some great emotional material and a really satify

So I’ll say 1 or 4 because it started it all and ended it so perfectly.... but I love the middle stuff too. *confused noises*

Don’t really have one. I liked Aaron Stanford in Nikita so he’s cool, I’ve heard Amanda and Alisen talk really passionately about the show, and I think Barbara and Emily are amazing actresses.

we’ve already established I’m basic. I LOVE the main couple though. Cassie and Cole are soooooo good together. They always manage to work through issues and work well together. Their personalities are in sync so that they always have something to learn from each other, one of them is usually able to be the anchor for the other, and IDK if they are able to actually hate each other.

Probably Jennifer LOL. I’d get killed protecting her because that’s just how it is.

a character I just can’t sympathize with

I lost a lot sympathy for Ramse once he killed his son. And honestly, I enjoy his performance, but I never connected to Deacon like some did.

Cole x Ramse (it’s not even a thing. they’re like BROTHERS. get out of here), Cole x Max (I’m glad they didn’t keep her around very long), Cassie x Deacon, and I have serious qualms about the notion of Jennifer and Deacon... that just seems wrong even though somehow they had a cute friendship (like, I don’t know how but it worked???)

My fave Sex Education character is probably... Aimee. i love her, shes such a sweetie

Ohhh so far i dont really know. i didn’t like jennifer but now shes so interesting. cassie in season 2 has been kind of irritating but it seems like theyre bringing her back around... i’d say Deacon... or Ramse when he was being... the worst.

I LOVED the Daemon Cages ep, and The Lost Boy.

Season 2!! I loved the Mars v Earth plot, all of Bobbies stuff, the beginning of the expansion of the protomolocule, its so good

I love love love Penny and Julia

Tbh i dont ship many of the ‘ships’ in the show, but i did enjoy Ola and Lily this season

i loved the timeloop episode, and i really enjoyed the episode where they went back to the 40′s, but im only into s2 so far!

.... this is a hard one... i love the episode where bobbie runs into the UN safe zone and request asylum, the whole episode building to that is great

i dont really ship much aside from cassie x cole, so idk. but the plot is so good that i dont watch for the ships really

18. overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?

they have great storylines within their genre. the expanse is one of the best sci fi stories ive ever seen, and it really leans on a mixture of realism and actual science coupled with the futuristic space travel stuff you need, but the magicians is excellent magical storytelling plus a really great absurdity element that they play into SO well. i’d have to say the expanse but the magicians is excellent.

12 Monkeys:

How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom - I entered the fandom first by watching the movie. I randomly remember hearing they were doing the show and I had always wanted to watch the movie and just hadn’t and figured I would watch that before the show. So I watched the movie a couple monhs before the show and really enjoyed it. That got me really hyped for the show. I was hooked from episode one. I think it’s one of the few shows where the time travel is used so well and is easy to follow yet still complex enough to be intriguing. I think the 12 Monkes fandom should be bigger on tumblr. I never see it on my dash and that makes me sad.

Fave character - Cassandra Railly

Least fave character - Deacon

OTP(s) - Cole x Cassandra I guess, you know I don’t ship or have OTP, but I like their pairing and thier story together

How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom - I’m MCU trash so when they announced this show I knew I’d watch it. I’m one of the few that not only stuck with the show from the first episode, but actually liked it from episode one. 

Fave character - Yea if you follow me you know my answer DAISY JOHNSON

Least fave character - Okay I’m saying Ward but that’s mostly because of the Ward fandom. I didn’t care for Ward when he was a good guy and them making him a villain was the best thing the show ever did. So my other choice will be Radcliffe

OTP(s) - Fitzsimmons I guess

Pairing that everyone likes but I don’t get - From a romantic angle Coulson x Daisy and Mack x Daisy. I think her platonic relationship with both those men are interesting and unique and important, but I don’t see the appeal of the romance (I’ve been blocked by blogs because of that opinion apparently). Honestly I don’t think there’s a man that’s been on the show that’s good enough for Daisy. Oh and fuck SkyeWard

If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be. - I would have killed Ward in S2. I also would’ve brought back Hunter and Bobbi by now. Like once I knew the show wasn’t happening I would have found a way to bring them back.

Game of Thrones:

How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom - It was after the first season had aired when my friend texted me one day asking if I was watching Game of Thrones. I had heard of it from some websites I visited, but wasn’t watching it. He said I needed to watch it immediately. So I got the first season and while at work watched it in a week on my phone. Fell in love.

Fave character - Arya Stark

Least fave character - High Sparrow

Pairing that everyone likes but I don’t get - Jamie x Brienne I mean I get it, but I don’t care for it. Again not from a romantic angle.

Fave thing about the fandom - Oh this fandom is the worst, they bitch about everything, but no matter what they watch the newest episode.

If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be. - Dorne. This is my favorite show of all time and I consider it the best show currently on tv however they fucked up Dorne badly. They went off book and it didn’t work so I would stick closer to the book.

The Walking Dead:

How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom - Same friend that asked if I watch Game of Thrones asked if I watched this after two episodes. I watched and loved it.

If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be. - Well the show knows it’s fan base will watch so its no longer actually trying to make a decent narrative but instead going for cheap shocks, dumb plots, and then the big episode that makes everyone anxious for the show to return. Just go back to making a good show.
