recently been in love with the idea of f!morgan and lucina qpr and have enjoyed developing it in my headcanons. i decided to leaf through the fe awakening artbook (which i will tirelessly remind everyone i have) to see lucina and morgan's supports and maybe build something off of that.

(More!) Slash Ships To Get To Know Me!

Bleep (@bleepbloopbotz) got me yet again... so here I am, yet again! You can find the post I made for the first round over here!

I listed MM-Bellisle [Carlisle/Beau] and Edward/Mike (Twilight, Life and Death - the two slash ships I'm writing right now), Steter and Sterek (Teen Wolf), Ferdibert (FE3H), Hannigram (NBC Hannibal), Bingyuan (Scum Villain), and Narumitsu and Klapollo (Ace Attorney).

**Rules**: Name at least five (no upper limit) slash (M/M) ships you love. Each from a different fandom.

I picked different fandoms, and included pictures where I could (source is canon except for the last ship), along with a little blurb.

I'm tagging @udaberriwrites and @alpaca-clouds, because I know they have many other ships to list. Also, @tsunderewatermelon and @danceswithdarkspawn because I'm curious to hear from those two femslash-centric writers (no pressure, of course, and yes, you can do less than five). I'll leave it at an open tag for anyone else interested!

1 - Chrom/M!Robin (MM-Chrobin, Fire Emblem Awakening) I have to leave a blurb - it's atrocious how the MF-Chrobin ship got a romantic route with shallow, terrible dialog while MM-Chrobin was denied the romantic route but literally had the romantic dialog >.>

2 - Victor/Yuuri (Victuuri, Yuri on Ice) This one's a classic, really. It's probably the most mainstream/popular OTP I hold right now, I think? I still remember when this happened~

3 - Mycroft/Lestrade (Mystrade, Sherlock) While these two didn't interact on-screen, they obviously interacted because of Sherlock. I headcanon them commiserating over Sherlock at first, then figuring out later on that they actually like each other. I do like Johnlock as well, but Mystrade is definitely my OTP here~

4 - Koujaku/Aoba (DRAMAtical Murder) This is definitely one of my lesser known pairs. And... I like both the good ending (left) and the bad ending (right) versions of them. The good-ending is really cute and wholesome and the bad-ending is tragic and violent in this grotesque, yet beautiful and poetic way~

5 - Akashi/Furihata (Akafuri, Kuroko no Basuke) This pair 100% hit me out of the blue. I remember this AO3 author I liked who wrote for another ship (don't remember which one >.>), and I decided to check their other works out... and ended up here. I was so confused by them at first, but I went with it and ended up loving it!

And technically you can only marry him if you play as female Robin but their dynamic is still just as romantic if you play as male Robin (they literally call each other their other half and m!Robin and Chrom have a valentine's day duo unit in the gatcha, and in the anthology manga m!Robin asks Chrom to make polygamy legal so he can also marry Chrom's wife and they can be a family) so most people play the game with the gay mod so they can still marry him as a guy. He's incredibly stupid ("yeah, let's set all our ships on fire then walk through a volcano, you're so smart, Robin" "I know you've had prophetic visions about killing me and our daughter came from the future to warn us it would happen but I'm sure THIS TIME it won't because of the power of our bonds") but also really sweet. In the summer DLC they're fighting on a beach and when he sees Robin get excited over a weird creature they found he immediately forgets about the battle and starts trying to make a bunch of crafts (and failing) and cooking food (and failing again) and writing "Chrom and Robin were here" in the sand so that Robin could have some nice beach memories. I'm obsessed with this man”

The fire emblem fandom believe itself to be open and LGBT friendly but it's not.

There's this type of people who dismiss gay ship like Chrom x M!Robin or Marianne x Hilda by saying they're just friends or like siblings and despite always saying that for gay ship and never for straight ship, they keep maintaining that there's no homophobia at play... Once had one of the very same person with such stance, defended by the other too, ask me in DM if I was raped as a kid because I'm gay.

There's this slightly popular artist who portray lesbian as predatory all the time, who get into argument to say Shamir is straight and who immediately changed his OC design once someone pointed out they had the color of the bi flag with not even the slighest pushback.

There's all those M!Edeleth fan who act like it's a great injustice that the gay version is more popular. I saw them getting confronted, one them went on rant about modern feminism and one of them that was a mod banned one of the comment for being "scathing to straight guy".

There's all those conservative twitter user with the vatican flag in their name and a fire emblem pfp which stance I don't think I need to describe.

There was this harassment campaign towards a F!Edeleth fic on Tumblr and AO3.

There was pushback against a M!Dimileth fanzine because it didn't include F!Dimileth.

This is only a bunch of personal experience, but this type of stuff is common in the fandom and it's genuinely sad. I didn't mention other relating to aphobia or transphobia because it's already a long ask, but those are just as present, why does it have to be like that?

Not sure if these are tropes, but yandere lover (just not a very big fan of yandere), obsessive love (treating their partner as a possession), misogynistic attitudes or abusive power in a relationship (basically a partner defining what their partner, whether it be a woman or man, should do or behave, and the victimized partner finds it hot???)

8. Using my favorite pair ferdibert, they are reversible, but I have a really strong preference for dom Hubert and sub Ferdinand. However!! I'm not a big fan of where Ferdinand is written or drawn very femininely. This applies to any MxM pair. I'm not against the concept of femininity in males, but when used in a stereotypical fashion, it rubs me the wrong way. Just a subtle depiction of their relationship dynamic is perfect to me! I'm alright with seeing SFW artwork of the reverse and reading said fics, but NSFW is where I draw the line

9. Thinking about the games I've played, I can think of at least one pair I like to see romantically, so yes 😂

Lucina stood, head held high, and waited for her parents to turn their attention to her. Behind her, Flayn shuffled from one foot to the other, fidgeting with the lace of her dress bodice. The two young women had spontaneously decided today was the day to introduce each other to their families, and for Lucina’s part, she was sure everything would go perfectly.

Chrom and Robin both turned to her. Before either could say a word, she gestured toward Flayn and blurted, “This is Flayn and she’s my girlfriend!”

Chrom blinked rapidly. “Your…. what now?”

“What! Lucina!” said Robin, eyes flying wide. “How long have you been dating someone?”

“About a month,” said Lucina with a shrug.

“Hello,” said Flayn, her voice softer than the other three as she gave a little wave. “It’s lovely to meet you both.”

“Oh my god?” said Chrom, giving a little laugh as he strode over toward Flayn with a hand outstretched. “Oh my god, you’re so polite! It’s nice to meet you too—Flayn, was it?”

Flayn nodded and shook his hand as Lucina beamed at them both. A moment later, Robin finished processing this unexpected new information and rushed over to clap a hand on Flayn’s shoulder and offer a handshake as well.

Just as she had with Chrom, Flayn politely returned Robin’s handshake.

And then they both froze.

Hands still locked firmly together, eyes wide and staring, they both fell into silence. Flayn drew herself up into her full height in an uncharacteristic show of—what? Boldness? Strength? Intimidation? Whatever it was, Lucina had never seen it in her girlfriend before, and it was peculiar to say the least.

At the same time, Robin’s shoulders trembled almost imperceptibly and his nostrils flared. Lucina would never have noticed if she hadn’t been so attuned to both of her fathers’ subtle tells, but this was one she knew too well.

“Dad,” she said.

A moment later, Chrom’s voice, now stern: “Robin. Focus.”

At that, Robin dropped Flayn’s hand, shook his head roughly and said, “Hm!”

“Luci, you didn’t tell me your father is a dragon,” said Flayn. “And quite a powerful one, I think!” Her tone was one of awe, even if the tension in her posture still lingered.

“What—you can tell?” said Lucina.

“Of course I can.” Flayn turned toward her, throwing on a pouty little frown. “I told you about being a dragon first thing. Why didn’t you tell me you also have dragon blood?”

“It’s… so complicated,” said Lucina. “Incredibly complicated.”

“There isn’t anything that complicated about being a dragon,” said Flayn. “We’re just what we are.”

“I’m not sure I agree with that,” said Robin, “but in any case, it’s good to know this about you too, Flayn.” A pause; then: “Er…you’re a light dragon, aren’t you?”

“Yes!” Flayn clapped her hands together once with a smile. “I’m not experienced enough to be able to recognize specifics like that. What type of dragon are you?”

Robin stared at her with a smile and said, “No.” Beside him, Chrom opened his mouth and then closed it again.

“I’m sure we’ll have plenty of time to discuss family later,” said Lucina, louder than she had meant to. “You’ve still got to introduce me to your dad!”

“Oh, right!” Flayn said, and the other three breathed a collective sigh of relief as she immediately dropped the subject. “Let’s go, I’m sure we can find him around here somewhere!”

Lucina allowed Flayn to lead her away, looking back over her shoulder at her parents with an apologetic grin as she went.

After she had gone, Chrom cleared his throat and said, “This is going to make holiday dinners…fun?”

Robin sighed. “I’ll remind Grima he isn’t invited,” he said.

A short time later, Lucina and Flayn located Seteth, who was reading quietly in a small corner of a grassy courtyard. When he noticed them approaching, he set his book aside and stood up with a small smile.

“Hello Father!” said Flayn, hurrying the last few paces toward him. “I’ve been looking for you!”

“Flayn,” said Seteth. “Who is your friend?”

This time, it was Lucina’s turn to fidget. Flayn had told her very little about her father other than that he was “churchy” and “stern but kind.” Now that it was time to actually meet him, she hoped the kindness would win out.

Flayn took her father’s hand and then Lucina’s, standing between them and smiling softly. “This is my girlfriend, Lucina,” she said, with a nervous little waver that didn’t stop her eyes from sparkling. “Lucina, this is my father.”

“Hello…sir,” said Lucina, suddenly keenly aware of how big and imposing Seteth seemed. “Good to meet you.”

Seteth sized her up, taking his time to pick her apart with his eyes before he finally spoke again. “You know how I feel about you dating,” he said, speaking to Flayn as if Lucina wasn’t there.

“I do know,” said Flayn. “She’s my girlfriend anyway.”

“Hm,” Seteth said, frowning even as he let go of Flayn’s hand in favor of offering a stiff handshake to Lucina. “Well, it’s nice to meet you. You do seem to be a regal young lady.”

“You could say that,” said Lucina. “One of my dads is a king.” And she shook Seteth’s hand.

The moment they touched, he withdraw his hand with a sharp little hiss and said, “Are you a dragon?”

“Shit,” said Lucina under her breath, ignoring the frown her cursing earned from Flayn. To Seteth, she said, “I guess you’re… also a dragon like Flayn, then?”

“Father is a very powerful dragon!” said Lucina, merrily, as if she were divulging some long kept secret to her girlfriend—and Lucina wondered if perhaps she was. “He’s much more powerful than I am.”

“I see—” Lucina began, but she was interrupted by Seteth.

“I’ve gotten used to being less endangered than we were back in our world,” he said, “and I can even get used to the idea of my daughter dating, in time. But honestly, Flayn… a Fell dragon? Really?”

“You’re a what?” said Flayn.

“I’m not!” said Lucina. “I just—I come from a line of descendants with Fell dragon blood—but I’m not a dragon! I can’t transform or magically recognize other dragons or any of the stuff you guys can do. And my dad doesn’t transform or anything either, now, so…give me a chance, okay?”

Seteth crossed his arms over his chest. “I’ll leave this up to my daughter. She’s capable of making her own decisions,” he said, in a tone that indicated he fully believed she would side with him.

Flayn, however, gazed at Lucina as if she was the most beautiful person on the planet and said, “Forbidden love is so romantic!”

And so Lucina and Flayn cemented their blossoming relationship by vaguely horrifying their parents and complicating their family dynamics in the name of young love.

(At the next holiday meal, Chrom tried to talk to the girls about safe sex while Grima waited all of 20 seconds to force his way past Robin so he could have a loud argument with Seteth about divinity. Morgan made loud kissy noises about Lucina dating someone. Tiki probably showed up.)

Also please consider the fact that you get to watch a cutscene of him dying in the prologue and despite the horrors he's just so supportive of the protagonist. Chrom doesn't care about where you came from or who you're related to, he cares for YOU. He gets KILLED by the protag and he reassures them that they did nothing wrong and pleads with them to get out, to a safe place. I lost my soul to Chrom, I physically can't play this game without romancing him.”

“He eats oranges with the peel still on, he's an absolute himbo. Also the writers accidentally made his daughter canonically trans so he definitely supports trans rights. And technically you can only marry him if you play as female Robin but their dynamic is still just as romantic if you play as male Robin (they literally call each other their other half and m!Robin and Chrom have a valentine's day duo unit in the gatcha, and in the anthology manga m!Robin asks Chrom to make polygamy legal so he can also marry Chrom's wife and they can be a family) so most people play the game with the gay mod so they can still marry him as a guy. He's incredibly stupid ("yeah, let's set all our ships on fire then walk through a volcano, you're so smart, Robin" "I know you've had prophetic visions about killing me and our daughter came from the future to warn us it would happen but I'm sure THIS TIME it won't because of the power of our bonds") but also really sweet. In the summer DLC they're fighting on a beach and when he sees Robin get excited over a weird creature they found he immediately forgets about the battle and starts trying to make a bunch of crafts (and failing) and cooking food (and failing again) and writing "Chrom and Robin were here" in the sand so that Robin could have some nice beach memories. I'm obsessed with this man”

I think Robin is incredibly overrated (And I utterly DESPISE Legendary/Brave in Heroes), but I wouldn't be lying if I said Brave F!Robin intrigues me just because of how much Intelligent Sytems pooled into the M!Robin X Chrom ship since the Valentine's Banner so I wanna see what they do after pushing it so much. It's probably understandable considering I think the Valentines banner made BANK, but y'know, it's funny to me.

Seriously though, "Exalts Other Half" and "Exalts Deliverer" are the respective titles of Legendary and Brave M!Robin despite no Chrom in sight. What is he delivering? Chrom's children?
