Say Lark, which relationships and ships featuring MC do you like the most?

Oo, some people can probably already guess who I'm going to mention here because I've talked about it before. In general, I really like the relationships where there's somewhat a unique understanding or dynamic between them.

1. Shennong x MC: they're both cut from the same stubborn, self sacrificial cloth, but MC is more of a representation of who Shennong once was before he gave up hope. I've mentioned it here since Chapter 10 set up their dynamic wonderfully. There's also just the banter, the blatant favoritism towards MC, the teasing and flirting, the reckless delinquent x nagging healer dynamic. This one feels canon after the MC x Summoners ships tbh since LWs obviously favors this one.

2. Nomad x MC: grumpy middle-aged man who can't catch a break x rowdy dumbass dog. Okay, MC traveling back in time during an overworld lap and interacting with Nomad in the past is one thing since they've done it before, but it becoming an integral and consistent part of his backstory is another. MC was the one who saw him at his lowest, who saved him when he had nobody else, who pulls him back when he's gone too far. While everyone else in Utopia has no faith in the future, MC has given Nomad something to continue striving for. Even after having their memories wiped in Nightglows, Nomad still returned to the battlefield he dreaded because he wanted to be with MC. That's how much he cares about them. They're hard programmed ride-or-die, I fear.

3. Tetsuya x MC: maybe it's the hatefuck, friends with benefits vibes I'm getting from them or maybe its the Romeo and Juliet dynamic. Okay, it's definitely those two things, but I also appreciate that Tetsuya doesn't go crazy about MC like most of the characters. To him, that's just some annoying prick who he's cool with sometimes and can relax around since he doesn't have to be on guard like he is with his actual friends. It isn't that romantic sounding, but there's comfort in the distance of their relationship and that's enough.

More examples: I love Hermes desperately craving companionship, but masquerading as the untrustworthy villain the world painted him as while MC can see through all of his deception and still accepts him for who he is. I love that Shinya can find someone to relate to with MC and that he doesn't have to worry about his power with them because they're immune to it. I love that Andvari only seems to care about riches, but sometimes MC is able to rival that love and Andvari also makes sure to exploit MC include them in his business deals first. These kinds of relationships are so cute and special to me.

Wait, the Summoner ships are also really good as they all have their own unique dynamics with MC and motivations inspired by them.

Synopsis: It's Father's Day, and also Shinya's day off. To celebrate the holiday and thank her father for everything he'd done for her, MC decided to hang out with him and bond for the entire day.

Word Count: 2,450

You wake up by the alarm of your clock. You sat on the bed and stretched your arms. Turning the alarm off, you skip out of bed to refresh yourself. You plan to make your father enjoy and have fun on this day since it's already Father's Day! You planned this thoroughly, and you are excited to spend the day with him.

After finishing the bath, you wear a [f/c] dress and sandals. Tying your [h/c] hair into [f/hs], you exited your room happily to make breakfast for your father. Shinya Hiiragi, your father, is a very busy person, he always goes to work to supply your daily needs, completely forgetting his own needs. He usually wakes up early to prepare food, fix himself, and go to work afterward. And he always returns home late, by the time you are already asleep. You never had a chance to have fun with him because of that, but today is one lucky day.

He got a day off today and now, he's sleeping in his room. Since he's probably tired, you decided to make breakfast for him. You cooked pancakes, toast some bread, and made coffee for him and [f/drink] for yourself. "I hope Dad would get enough rest..." You mumbled while making breakfast. After finishing your work, you placed the food on the dining table and then cleaned the kitchen counter that you used.

"There! All done" You smiled to yourself, hands on your hips, proud of your work. Now you only have to wake your father up. You removed the [f/c] apron and then placed it on the kitchen counter, you made your way upstairs to his room.

You opened the door and then saw him sleeping peacefully in his bed. "He's too cute" You internally squealed while making your way beside his bed. "Dad....... Dad......" You called while poking his cheeks. "Hm...? What is it, [Name]?" He slowly opened his eyes and then turned his head to face you properly.

"Good morning, dad. Breakfast is ready" You straightened your back then placed your arms behind your back, smiling brightly. "I see. Let me refresh for a minute" The white-haired male sat up on his bed as he wiped the sleep from his eyes. "Okay! I'll be waiting downstairs" You told him as you skipped out of his room.

Once you returned down, you happily sat on the chair, filing your thoughts of making him happy on this day. After a minute, Shinya went downstairs, already in his attire. "Good morning, [Name]~" He flashed you a bright smile as he took a seat opposite to you.

"I toast some bread for you, I know you love bread" You pushed the plate of toasted bread to him while smiling. "This looks delicious" He complimented, the smile never left his lips. "Thanks, Dad!" You thanked him then got a fork. "Itadakimasu!" Both said at the same time as the two of you ate your breakfast.

"Hey Dad, do you want to have some fun outside?" You asked him after you swallowed your food. "It sounds fun! Sure thing!" He replied the toasted bread still in his mouth. "There's some crumbs on your face" You chuckled as you wiped the crumbs away with a white cloth, Shinya also chuckled.

After breakfast, you washed the dishes and then got ready to have a walk outside. "Are you ready, [Name]?" Your father asked, standing near the door. "Yes! I am ready" You responded then walked towards him.

The two of you exited the house and Shinya locked the doors. You breathe in the fresh air mixed with the scent of your [f/f]. "Today is one great day! Isn't it, [Name]?" Your father made his way to you, you only turned around to give him a nod. "Yup! It sure is" You replied.

You plan to walk your way to the park with your dad, and while walking, you can chat with him. "Say, Dad..." You called. "Yes, dear?" He asked. "What do you want to do on this great day?" You asked while looking at him. "Hm..." He placed his finger on his chin, looking up while thinking. "It's up to you to decide, I'm sure you have plans in you, right?" He looked at you and then flashed you a teasing smile.

"You actually saw through me" You laughed. "What are you? A magician? Or a mind reader?" You place your left hand on your hips while your right index is pointing at him in an accusing way, nearing your face to him. He just chuckled. "None of those, honey" He pushed your hand back and you walked properly. "It's just because you woke me up, made breakfast, and suggested having a walk outside, it means that you really have a plan in mind" He explained.

"Well...." You lifted your chin up. "You're right! How about we visit the park? It is a relaxing place just to sit down and chat, right?" You suggested, smiling brightly at your father. "Anything will be fine, honey" Your father returned the smile as you dragged him towards the park.

Once you two arrived at the park, you saw a lot of people relaxing with their fathers. Of course they would, it's Father's Day after all. Though, you don't know if your father already knew about that or not. "Dad, let's search for a clover leaf," You told him while pointing at the green grass. "Are you sure? Clovers are hard to find, dear" He asked, unsure of what he should reply. "Come on, dad! It would be fun!" You giggled while dragging him again. The white-haired male just smiled at your cuteness.

It's already 9 in the morning yet you and your dad haven't found any single clover, though, it was fun. Just hanging in the park, doing some impossible searches, and having a chat with your dad was fun. "Agh! I can't find anything!" You stood up and then dusted your dress, removing some dirt and grass blades. "Told you it is hard" The silverette walked to you, removing some grass from your hair.

"It's more like impossible, Dad," You told him, looking up to meet his ocean-colored orbs. It sure is mesmerizing. "[Name], are you alright? Is something in my face?" Shinya's voice broke you from your trance, you blinked two times as you gave him a reassuring look. "I-I'm fine! And there's nothing in your face!" You reasoned while sweat-dropping. "How about we go to the beach next? To find some seashells?" You suggested next.

"Sure thing, honey. It's been a while since we visited the beach" Shinya agreed. "Let's go then!" You cheered while skipping your way out of the park. "She's energetic as usual..." Shinya mumbled to himself as he watched his teenage daughter skipping with joy. "Dad! I'm gonna leave you here if you don't move from your spot!" You called to him, waving your arms.

"Yes, yes!" The silverette chuckled to himself as he caught up with you. You two had another walk towards the public beach, chatting, telling jokes, and pushing each other from side to side. It truly is fun to spend the day with your father.

"We're here!" You declared as you stepped into the white sand, breathing in the sweet smell of the ocean. "This place truly is beautiful" Your father stood beside you, placing an arm over his head to shield his eyes from the sun's rays, he looked at the sparkling blue ocean before him. "I know, right? Come on, let's go and get some seashells!" You giggled while taking off your shoes and ran towards the water.

Shinya also did the same, he removed his shoes and rolled up his pants to avoid getting wet. He went to the water with you to find some seashells. "Look, Dad! I found a [f/c] one! It's beautiful!" You showed him a [f/c] seashell that's in your hands. "It truly is, [Name]. Come on, let's get some more" He told you and continued the search. You did the same.

After grabbing some seashells from the beach, you two placed them inside a plastic. You washed your feet and dried them, after, you wore your shoes and got ready to go. "Shall we grab some lunch, [Name]?" Your father requested after he wore his shoes. "Sure Dad, my treat" You replied, smiling at him. He returned the smile.

Exiting the public beach, you and Shinya made your way towards your [f/restaurant] in the city. The two of you took a taxi to reach your destination, the two of you entered the restaurant and you breathed in their delicious aroma. "Just smelling their fresh, cooked foods made me hungrier," You said while touching your stomach. "Come on, let's take a seat" Shinya chuckled as he pushed you to an empty seat near the window.

As the two of you sat down, a waiter went to your table to get your orders. "I will have [f/f] and [f/d] please," You told him as he wrote down your order. "What do you want Dad?" You turned to him with your hand on your cheeks. "I will have [f/f] too and cold water," He said then the waiter wrote his order down. He bowed then left.

"Wow, I never knew that you would order [f/f] too, Dad" You whistled while looking outside the window. "It's just a try. You love it so much that I need to try it" He chuckled. "I guess you're right..." You hummed while closing your eyes.

"Say Dad, do you want to go shopping at the mall later on?" You asked your dad while swinging your legs back and forth. "That would be great, [Name]! Your treat?" Shinya chuckled at his last statement. "Of course!" You also chuckled as you replied. After a while, your orders arrived.

The two of you ate while chatting, telling jokes, and laughing. After finishing lunch, you paid for your food and then left the restaurant. "That was delicious, [Name]. I will surely make [f/f] my favorite too" Your father told you while walking your way towards the mall. "Sure, Dad! Told you it was great!" You beamed at him, and he smiled.

As the two of you arrived at the mall, you treated him for his everything he wanted. You treated him to new clothes, new shoes, ties, socks, and other things. After shopping, the two of you watched at the theater, rode extreme sites, and other more.

"That was fun, Dad!" You smiled at him as the two of you exited the mall. "Yes, you're right. Thank you for the treat, dear" He thanked you. "No problem Dad!" You replied as the two of you made your way back home. Shinya and you ride inside a taxi and then arrive back home.

As the two of you arrived at your house, he opened the door and entered inside. You placed the bags with his things inside, on the coffee table then headed inside the kitchen. "You're making dinner, [Name]?" The white-haired male asked, sitting on the couch.

"Yes, Dad! Our dinner will be curry!" You replied while wearing a [f/c] apron. While you are preparing dinner, Shinya is resting on the couch, organizing his things while watching television. After the curry was finished, you turned off the stove and removed the apron.

"Dad! Dinner is ready!" You called while fixing the dining table. "Really, honey? That was quick" He came inside the dining room then took a seat on a chair. "Well, I'm an expert at cooking already" You smiled at him while holding the plate with food down the table.

After fixing the table, you sat down opposite him. "Itadakimasu!" Both said at the same time as you took a bite of your meal. "Hm~ It sure is delicious, [Name]" Your father complimented after he took a bite. "Thanks, Dad!" You smiled. You took another bite before you got something under the table.

"Dad, I have something to give to you..." You called him while looking down at the small cage. "Hm? What is it, [Name]?" He asked after swallowing his food. "Here! I present for you!" You showed him the cage which contains a small baby white tiger.

Shinya's eyes widened in surprise after he saw the animal. "[Name]! This is so! Are you sure that?" Because he is so surprised by the gift, he can't even construct a sentence properly. You chuckled. "Dad, I know you love baby tigers, especially when they're white. And yes, we can keep it. This tiger isn't that dangerous and it's pretty friendly with humans" You explained while giving him the cage.

He took the cage from you and then stared at it. He opened the cage and took the white tiger cub out. "Aw~ He's so cute~" Your father said as he set the cub down on his lap. You watched him with a smile on your face, then, you stood up and went to him. "Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you!" You said after kissing his cheeks.

"Aw~ Thanks, honey! And I love you too" Shinya smiled back at you, and you just giggled. "Say Dad, what are you gonna name him?" You asked, standing up straight and placing both your hands on your hips, looking at the cub. "I'm gonna name him Byakkomaru" Your dad replied while looking back at the cub. "Sounds great!" You beamed.

Byakkomaru licked Shinya's cheeks after. "And it seems he liked the name" You chuckled. "Yeah," Shinya also chuckled while being licked by his pet. "Okay! Byakkomaru is now officially part of the family!" You declared, fist up in the air.

"Thank you for the gifts and everything [Name]. Thank you also for this day" Your father told you, looking at you with a smile, the white cub still in his lap. "No problem Dad! It's Father's Day, after all!" You grinned with closed eyes. "Though, I did forget that today is the celebration" He looked up with a finger in his chin.

"That's okay Dad, you are very busy at work, after all," You reassured him. "Thank you very much for understanding, honey" He looked at you with a smile again. "No problem Dad, everything that we did for each other is an act of love," You told him with a smile.

this goes a few places but i’ll try to stay on track

honestly, I’ve been thinking about this but like...

i kinda wanna write the arc in which the phantom thieves become better friends to the MC?

maybe this is a bit far fetched but like, the way the phantom thieves treat the main character isn’t the way you’d treat someone you care about. and like. this isn’t even coming from a place of me hating them either, bc i really really like all of them and i’m glad that they all get to move on and forward with their lives

like, the entire game the MC goes through making deals, shady connections, and dubious places to make sure everyone has what they need, whether its for weapons, items, or a shoulder to cry on, the MC is always there for them. and. i know that this is, in a game and narrative point of view, for the sake of getting the game rolling so the player can get supplies and doesn’t have to worry about waiting on other characters for things needed to assist in palace infiltrations. like, i get what it serves in a story sense, and why it needs to happen in a game sense

however

whenever i think of persona 5 as a writer, trying to write from the POV of the the MC, the phantom thieves, or any of the other confidants, it just kinda...hits me? the MC is a 16-17 year old that has managed to convince all these people that he has whatever they need to continue on with their work/life/well-being.

and for some, this makes sense, like Mishima and Shinya make sense bc in Shinya’s case its an older kid helping a younger kid with a bad parental situation using means that would keep him from getting arrested (which is when most people stop trying to help, for fear of retaliation from the parent) and with Mishima it makes sense bc he worships the phantom thieves to an unhealthy degree, while also keeping their image in his hands, and is also their only means of communicating with the outside world as the phantom thieves bc to do so otherwise would compromise their identities (not that yelling out their plans in the middle of a train station wouldn’t compromise them as well, but y’know) and that is dealt with by Mishima gaining confidence and learning how to be the hero he idolizes not only for others in distress but also for himself and continues to pursue his own creative pursuits

like, for all the phantom thieves, i have no real problems with their confidants

the only real issue is that, at rank 10, all of them declare that they’ll be on the MC’s side and help him through thick and thin. except.....they never do. and it’s not like it has to be big either, I’m not asking for any big dramatic scene either, just basic shit. like, you know what makes the MC a good friend? he reaches out, makes sure to listen, actively does what he can to help, and works with them to help them get through their problems. none of the other thieves do this, not once. and if you wanna make the argument that they all heard him out about his record, yes, that IS a great thing and i’m glad that they recognize that it was wrong.

but when i think of the rest of the game, i just think of them never talking to the MC. not even in the sense that the player has to see the conversation play out or anything, after all when you go on hang out spots with confidants but not for a link, the game says that the MC got closer to the character and you have the chance to give and exchange gifts. i really really REALLY liked that feature bc it makes it feel like the others are trying to get to know the MC and give him something he’d like.

however.

if they want to be good friends, they should also be able to do things that aren’t related to the phantom thieves. Haru, i give a(only a bit though) pass bc she joins the group so late that theres no way she’d know about all the ins and outs that the MC has to take care of as the leader, and by the time she would even get the chance, she’s dealing with her father, then the plot, then the final and Final bosses. she would’ve had no time to really learn the dynamics of the phantom thieves or the metaverse (and this is blatantly shown right before they first enter Okumura’s palace and right before they steal the treasure) and is rarely ever afforded that chance to bond with the group in game save for banter in mementos. not to mention, she actively gives some of the best boosting items in the game and also does her best to connect with the MC through their own shared similarities (Leblanc and her grandfather’s shop, always having to act a certain way for fear of reprisal, not knowing what she’s supposed to do but needed to act more mature as people don’t see her as a child but rather as a thing/tool for their benefit) that i didn’t really see in any of the other social links with the phantom thieves.

again, this isn’t saying that the thieves are being bad friends on purpose or that they’re going out of their way to be The Worst(tm) but if they’re going to claim that they want to help through thick and thin then why don’t any of the others ask about the MC? the only time i ever recall them asking the MC about things they like/dislike is during the summer Leblanc hangouts and it’s only about a specific topic. (examples being: Yusuke asking if they should make plans to go to France or buy a TV, Ryuji asking about the MCs favorite sports and preference in manga character tropes, Futaba asking if the MC ever built a laptop or dealt) i know this is a rpg, so i’m not expecting anything specific to come from the MC as the player is able to hc whatever they want about him, but even the game going ‘x asked me about y issue’ would’ve been enough. it doesn’t have to be detailed, i just want examples of the thieves that claim to be his friends asking about his hometown, his family, how the MC is doing bc rarely is that ever asked, or if the MC needs help.

like, yes, the praise about how cool and strong and awesome you are is great but if the MC has been running around Tokyo for a solid week talking to all these people, working multiple part time shifts for money, and doing xyz just to make sure the phantom thieves are operational then i (as a player) would also like that same sort of thing if this is supposed to be a team. honestly, though, it was fine for the most part bc the game was still really fun and hanging out with them (over all the other confidants like (Kawakami, Ohya, or Chihaya) is a gdamn BLESSING GOD dealing with them is stressful tbh) is honestly the highlight of the game for me bc they’re so colorful and full of life that i didn’t even really give too much thought about this save for once or twice, and that was only AFTER the interrogation room

why? bc up until this point, i had no reason to think that the phantom thieves were doing anything than what they said they would: sticking through thick and thin and lending their support. i simply attributed those moments that weren’t in the game to back up this claim as being shown during the non-confidant level up hang out times, that the things i talked about before were just not being shown to the player explicitly but it was still happening behind the scenes. but the interrogation scene with Sae kinda made that....fall flat on it’s face.

i mean, hear me out. even if, and that’s a BIG IF, there was absolutely no other way to get the police off their back, no other way to handle the assassin that was coming for them, and no way to do anything outside the metaverse.....................why was there no one there to make sure that the plan worked? like, there’s a camera inside the cell, so Futaba at the VERY LEAST should be able to tell whats going on inside, right? and even if you wanna tell me that somehow the cops were able to put that on a server that Futaba couldn’t access that still brings me back to the same point at before.

the phantom thieves, when explaining to Sae how they got their plan together, also have this nice little image of them going to the (was it the real or the fake one?) interrogation room and making sure that they COULD actually carry out their plan.

so. if they went to the physical place to make sure their plan could work, knew exactly where the MC was going to be and when, and knew there would be cameras, why did none of them have some sort of a back up plan set up? not even just in case?

like, i know that the ‘bad ending’ is the MC telling Sae the others’ identities and then dying but, the dude is drugged out of his mind! he’s been getting beaten for hours, if not an entire day, then interrogated by Sae! even if the MC had sold them out, it would’ve been a case of giving a drugged confession, bc the MC wouldn’t have been in his right mind.

yes, as a player, you can say no. as a player, you can easily say, ‘why would i give up my friends?’. it makes no sense as a player to let the characters who you’ve spent at least 40+ hours up to the wolves. but the MC? who is drugged out of his mind? who has been beaten bloody and knows that nothing he says is going to get them to stop? who then has to deal with Sae interrogating him and constantly reminding him over and over that if he doesn’t give her what she needs, he WILL die? yeah, of course the MC is going to say no, but if he did I wouldn’t hold that against him bc he’s not in the right state of mind at all. not only that, but then someone who was supposed to be a friend and ally is coming in to kill him, and the only thing to keep that from happening is starting up the metaverse and making him think he shot the real deal.

seriously, have someone hide out in the metaverse, right? then when the assassin comes in, that person can then verify that the MC isn’t fucking dead

what part of leaving a friend to act as a decoy, leaving him to deal with a police force that they have already been informed is corrupt and willing to do whatever they have to in order to get a confession (the same person that has already been brutalized by the police mind you!) by himself, to then ALSO deal with being interrogated, and then pray that the plan they came up with (that they also have no intention of making sure it worked) to deal with the assassin goes as planned, then ALSO HAVE TO PRAY that HOPEFULLY Sae decides to help him flee incarceration.

do you see my problem here? what part of any of this plan is solid? what part of any of this plan isn’t cruel? like, even with all the exceptions i was trying to give them, this is not acting as a good friend. hell, this isn’t even how you should be acting as a good ALLY, forget a friend.

My top 10 yuri ships

Hi everyone! Here’s my top 10 favourite yuri ships in anime and manga (as well as Japanese game). Keep in mind that it’s my personal top 10 and I’m not saying those ships are better than the others, just that they are those I prefer.

10. Kaguya X Mokou (Touhou Project)

My favourite ship in Touhou Project. I have a thing for love/hate relationship as well as rivalry. Those two are immortals and keep trying to kill each other due to an old grudge. How romantic. But as immortals, they can understand each other since they are going through the same thing, and know they won’t end up alone. My main reason to ship them is that I find the concept of them being together really hot (and one of them as firepower so it’s fitting).

9. Yoko X Aya (Kiniro Mosaic)

Ship from one of my favourite slice of life anime. Yoko and Aya are the typical “shoujo manga couple” with the tsundere girl to shy to admit her feeling and the dense guy. But not as typical, since they are both girls. Aya, better known as Ayaya (or Gayaya), is so memeable. Her love for Yoko can be both cute and funny, and I do hope one day Yoko will realize her feelings and reciprocate them. They are what I prefer in Kiniro Mosaic, their episodes are those I enjoyed the most.

8. Otoya x Shiena (Akuma no Riddle)

I hesitate to put this one since I’m more obsessed about it than actually liking it, but I guess that I can’t just write so many fanfics about them and not put them on my top. I’m truly obsessed and fascinated by the possibility of this pairing. I must admit that I have a fascination for psychopaths, and a relationship with one of them intrigued me. So to see a normal girl like Shiena being paired with a psycho serial killer like Otoya is like a fantasy to me, it’s satisfying my dark fantasy. I like to imagine how they could actually work as a couple. So unhealthy and dark...Ah, not that I approve such relationship, but it’s fine in fiction. 7. Komaru X Touko (Danganronpa) 

A relationship that truly touched me. They are so good for each other, they support and help each other. I honestly ship them either romantically or as friends, I just want to see them together. Just seeing pictures of them together is enough to light up my mood. Touko has a hard time trusting others because of her past, so it’s moving to see her open up to Komaru and eventually see her as a close friend. And Komaru is just so sweet and adorable. Please Touko, forget about Togami and just go with Komaru, who respect and treat you well You deserves better than that rich prick!

6. Sakurako X Himawari (Yuru Yuri)

What’s better than a tsundere? Two tsunderes being tsun-tsun for each other! My favourite thing in that anime is actually those two and their interaction. Individually I don’t really like any of them, but together they are just gold. We know they actually like each other, but they can’t help but being rival. They used to be really close as kids but ended up fighting growing up (probably because of Hima’s boobs, they start all of this). But the rare sweet moments between them are what truly matters, and I hope for actual development for them.

5. Homura X Madoka & Sayaka X Kyouko (Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica)

Two ships for this positions since they are from the same anime and I can’t choose one. We can’t deny Homura’s love for Madoka, it’s pretty much canon with the third movie. Just how far she went for Madoka’s sake, the sacrifices she made, the pain she underwent. I wish for a happy conclusion for them, but I feel like it won’t be the case. As for KyouSaya, I like how both of them is tomboyish, it’s rare to see that type of yuri ship. They started as enemies to eventually friends, I liked the evolution of their relationships and they truly shine in the third movie. Again I wish them a happy conclusion. But it’s PMMM, so I doubt it will happen ^^’

4. Nanoha X Fate & Vivio X Einhart (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha)

Again, two ships at the same position for the same series, because I couldn’t choose. NanoFate is a classic in yuri, they are basically canon. I mean, they live together, sleep in the same bed, bath together, and adopted a girl they raised together. Everything about their relationship is perfect. They start off as enemies but learn to understand each other and eventually become close friends, and it continued to evolve as they grow older. Vivio and Einhart are kind of a mirror of their relationship but softer. They started as rivals and ended up friends, and their ancestors knew each other (they were a couple I think). There’s a good romantic potential with those two, sweet yet spicy. You know what they said. As mother as daughter.

3. Sumireko x Banba (Akuma no Riddle)

Another one from AnR, my otp, SumiBanba! With both Banba’s personality, Mahiru and Shinya. They are the combination of my two favourite type of ships: Overly cute and dark. Most of their interactions are so cute and fluff, yet since they are both not exactly sane (and Banba being clearly insane), there’s a potential of darkness with that ship, given Sumireko’s obsession with power. The potential of her abusing her power with Banba is strong, yet there’s also the potential for them to help each other with their respective issues. This relationship as both the potential to be good or bad, mostly depending of Sumireko’s action. If you're interested, I made quite a long post to analyze their relationship: SumiBanba analysis.

2. Hibiki X Miku (Symphogear)

Those two...I love them so much! They are so cute and fluff. They both have a strong bond with each other, they are calling each other sunshine and bright sun. They are so much acting like a married couple, even their VA agreed. I mean, they have bunk bed yet sleep in the same bed, while holding hands and cuddling. They are so perfect for each other, they compliment each other pretty well, Hibiki being more immature and Miku more responsible. And it’s pretty obvious that Miku does love Hibiki, it’s even confirmed in the OVA. But as Hibiki’s friend told her once, she’s as dense as a harem MC. Let’s hope they got actual romantic development in the upcoming season 5 (urgh only airing in April...)

Those two. Words are not enough to describe how much I love them. They are everything I love about a ship, they are cute yet dark, love/hate, and rivals. They are actually lovers, friends, enemies, rivals and opponents. Yes, they are canonly a couple. They are immortal witches who deeply love each other, yet also try to kill each other from time to time to pass time. Lots of candy and sugar symbolism with them, as well as stuff like “I’ll impale you to my bed and kiss you each morning and night” or “I’ll gouge your eyes so you can only look at me and put them into my tea”. So romantic, so fucked up. I love that. Despite all the creepiness, they do honestly love each other, they just have their own way to show it. I guess it’s normal when you’re a 1000 years old witch.

what are your thoughts on the ryuuji X ann pairing. if atlus made a persona 5 portable game with a fem mc ( of course the graphics would not be at the same level as persona 5 it would be like P3 portable) but if they did that which male characters do you think will be romanceable

I like Ryuann. It was the first couple I really liked, I’ll admit with time I’ve somewhat lost passion for it as I came to enjoy Ryukita, Ryumako, Haruji, Ryutaba and Pegoryu alot as well, but Ryuann still remains a pairing I like. What I can say about is that, to its credit, it is by far the most fleshed out relationship in the game which does not feature Joker.

I’d imagine Ryuji and Yusuke would be dateable. I don’t know about Akechi since the canon route of the game kills him I suppose it would be impossible? I’d hope that the likes of Iwai and the other adult male Confidants would not be dateable but, I mean, since Atlas is okay with Joker dating all the adult females I suppose that hope of mine would be in vain. At least I’d hope Shinya would not be dateable *shudders*. I’d imagine, then, the core ‘dateable’ groupe I would imagine to be; Ryuji, Yusuke and Mishima and...hey, wait? Why does it feel like there are so many more female Confidants than males? Am I forgetting someone?
