Thank you so much for the analysis, I went and read about the concepts and questions you raised. That made me think harder about the dream and how I felt too, because I realised my ask was full of my reactions to the dream rather than the original reaction in the dream.

Generally, I don’t like confined spaces IRL like caves, but in the dream, it was warm and dry and soft. Like, think fine and rich brown earth like alluvial soil. Even with the vampiric experiences, I was very comfortable and it didn’t feel icky. I was empowered. I think I was being fed with energy than it being taken from me? Now that I think about it, It was my waking self that was shocked by it because usually my dreams are always filled with lush green landscapes and many animals, a lot of colourful flora and fauna. I have had bad dreams too and I wake up feeling exhausted then. This time, I woke up feeling just shocked at the presence of a sexual theme which never happened before. But in the duration of the dream, it was slow and I didn’t feel like running away away or overwhelmed as I do with most of my bad dreams.

I also looked into my attachment styles as you said, and I believe I grew up very quickly (boarding school tch) but always feeling secure at home. I wasn’t ever asked to not say what I want, in fact I used to suppress when I was younger. But my mom told me “even a mother wouldn’t know their child is hungry if it doesn’t cry. So cry or speak up.” I think that put things into perspective and I’ve always said what I needed to. Even in romantic interactions, I’ve always spoken my mind. If I’m in discomfort, I ask them to help me out. If I’m upset, I ask them to give me space until I feel emotionally stable to interact. If they’re not ok I give space and wait until they’re good too. I am not very confident with psychological interpretations, but I feel confident enough to say that I am very comfortable in my skin everywhere. Like, I often think if someone is “rude” to me, they’re not and it’s just their own insecurities burdening them. So I just let it be and move on because they’ll fight through it own their own.
