How the red head had gotten this close to Lavinia was a blur, but her senses had come back to her at what could either be the best or worst moment. Right before she could actually press lips to the other woman's. 'I'm sorry - I shouldn't have -' She breathed before taking just one step back away from her. Fuck, she was all over the place. So were her emotions. Everything running hot and high right now. It would have been so easy to just fall back into it. Act like they'd never broken up. But that pit that still sat in her stomach over their split, the pain she still felt stopped her. It's been so long now, she should be a big girl and get over it but, the red head had never loved anyone else. No one came close to Lavinia. She was young yes, but sometimes you just knew when someone was the right person for you. Deep down she knew it was always going to be Lavinia. But Shiloh still felt like things were- far too broken between them. She was just supposed to be here to give Vinia a shoulder to cry on, give her mind a break from worrying about Landon being missing. 'I should go, early day tomorrow.'

'Oh don't do that.' Shiloh huffed, crossing her arms over her chest and turning away from the dark haired woman. 'Don't act all sad. You made it perfectly clear what I meant to you, so yes I think you did want to hurt me. To shove me out of the way so you didn't have to share any of this new life your living.' whether or not it was a dream come true, Shiloh had always thought she would be part of that dream with her. 'I don't have anything more to say to you. You wanted to act like we didn't exist. Don't be upset that I'm giving you what you wanted.'

That's right. Lavinia had filled her in then on what had really gone down between the director and the other actress. And with the way her ex is already defending Alice then it must be true she's innocent in all of this. Which is a shame. She's being called a murder and everything in between on tv and in every magazine. 'I'll take your word for it V.' The red head offered another small smile. She would never understand Hollywood or the people in it. She had tried for Vinia's sake when they were together. But maybe it was all just too much for her. The break up had been terrible, but she would have made it all work. She'd have done anything for the brunette. But she supposed it wasn't to be. 'Of course.' It's not what she really wants to say. But everything else didn't feel right. She didn't really know if they were still friends, so a 'what are friends for' wouldn't work. Too scared to tell her that she would really always be there for her. Because that was probably crossing some line that exes shouldn't cross. 'I um-- work the next few days, vets are visiting a few of the animals so I'll be a bit busy but if anything you know...pops up just-- call a few times a row.'

Lavinia scoffed, rolling eyes. Other chick was a cheating skeeze. Who cares what Emeline says? As if the blonde cares Landon is missing. “Lola, that other ‘chick’ is shallow. She cheated. She has no room to say anything about Alice.” Nor does these media people. Papz are all the same. They spread lies, snap pics for cash on demand. What do tabloids do but spread gossip like it’s a holy sacrament. “Alice would never hurt him. I know that. The papers want a scapegoat.” Vouching for the actress is simple. Lavinia knows enough. She suspected something between Landon and her for some time. Sure they hit a bumpy road but everything is a complication. “He went through it with Emeline Entwistle. Too much, Shiloh. Her words are not genuine in the least. The type to be friendly to your face and stab you in the back.” Sighing as she stared down at her phone, she hoped for an update. "do you need a hand with that?" he asked on a chuckle, nodding towards the large bale of hay she was currently pulling towards the barn. his work gloves hung from the back pocket of his worn wranglers, about to continue his day of work after a quick lunch break. "i mean... you did sort of hire me for this type of work, didn't you?" shiloh's lips formed in a cocky smirk, before tilting his head to the side. he'd been doing ranch work since he was a kid, his body perfectly conditioned to carry the bale for her. with all his experience he wanted nothing more than to help her ranch succeed, and was more than willing to help her get there. shiloh closed the distance between them as he pulled on his gloves, stopping once he stood about a foot in front of her. "let go," he demanded and looked down at her from where he towered over her.

Yes, she is right there. And the familiarity of the brunette’s hands cradling her face is bittersweet. It feels like home and somehow stings at the same time. Shiloh wished she could be a better person in this moment, to just let the heartbreak go. Latch on to Lavinia and never let her go because fuck if that girl wasn’t it for her too. Hearing it come from Lavinia truly does make her question. Why did she do this? Shiloh has dwelled on that for so long but, suddenly it doesn’t matter anymore. Maybe Vinia didn’t deserve a second chance, so why was she so ready to give her one at the drop of an I love you. A shuddered breath leaves her before her own confession. ‘I love you too..’ And then she’s given in. Moved to press lips to the woman before her, and it was everything she’d been missing in her life. Could feel the cracks and splinters in her heart sealing back over from such a simple gesture. Could finally let go of some of the pain, the hurt, the feelings of betrayal of their break up. Unsteady hands land on the other’s waist, bringing her that much closer. ’Never stopped loving you Vee I just-’ breathed out as she reluctantly pulled away for just a moment. 'Be patient with me…I don’t want to be away from you anymore. It can shrug off a direct hit by a ballistic missile without complaints but god forbid it has to be in contact with water.

A massive green thumb. Their apartment is filled with a myriad of different flora that shouldn't even survive indoors.

Total health nut. It would take a lot for them to willingly put anything unhealthy in their body, but chili nuts and rum are exceptions.

Hates space, which is funny because their job mostly centers around space-specific crime and combat.
