Fun fact: red bioluminescence is very rare! And the few animals (like some dragonfish) that have it are also the only ones at their depths that can percieve it, aside from being a way to communicate with those of their species, the red light works like a prey revealing flashlight that no one else can detect!

Why red? Well, red is the first wavelenght to "disappear" on the water collumn, that's why so many deep sea animals are bright red! As it can't be percieved, it works as camouflage, well, untill that dragonfish comes along! Why don't all deep sea critters percieve red? Well, it's like how cave dwelling species tend to be blind, as there's -usually - no red light, they ended up losing the capacity for percieving it through evolution, there was no pressure for keeping it, so it eventually went away!

Unfortunatelly for Shiggs, the abyssal merman out of his depht here, this trick doesn't work near the surface. He thinks he's being sneaky...Poor thing.

No that question was forbidden.

How he could say the rudest thing everyone and their mothers have ever heard before he says something on the verge of you being a god.

Or maybe you were his goddess.

That perfect person destined for him- just for him.

You couldn’t ask why he puts you up there. On this pedestal. You hear your friends whine about how your the exception. How your somehow saved from his cruel ways.

So as you look at him, mess around and ‘bully��� your shared friends, as he turns to you and the gruff in his voice is gone. The asshole in his voice is gone. How his eyes soften tenfolds and his muscles automatically seem to relax from their tense state.

He’s talking to you- asking you something… but you can’t hear him. His face just looks so soft. So kind. Where was this- what- thirty seconds ago?

Maybe you just didn’t see it from his point of view. Maybe you just didn’t understand his cased-in thoughts. Maybe you didn’t understand what is was like to be but a mer mortal man standing in front of Aphrodite herself.

What was he to do against you? He were defenseless. But that’s fine. He didn’t need to be an ass to you when you gave him that sweet smile- that smile you got when he gave you that special attention.

So you wouldn’t ask him. Not when it was a possibility for all this to change.

“Hey-hey!”

Fingers snap in front of your face.

“Are you okay?”

How he only asks you that.

Your lips turn up at you stare back at him. His fingers dropping to rest in your lap. Such a comforting thing which he does unknowingly. Your fingers quickly tangle with his- and he lets you.

“Yeah, I’m okay. What were you saying?”

You can’t ask him why he changes, not when he only changes for you.

Crossover idea: One Piece x My Hero Academia

1) Heroes = Bounty Hunters, they could be Marines but people in OP seem to know how corrupt the Marines are working under the Celestial Dragons, so I don't think people aspiring to be known as HEROES would willingly work for them (but whatever floats your boat).

ALSO if Heroes are Bounty Hunters then they aren't organized enough to rally against a 10s of Thousand's large group such as a Yonko Crew or the 100k+ member Meta Liberation Army, which as I type this, I realize would probably join the Revolutionary Army instead of Shigaraki.

2) All For One held both of the positions of Yonko before Shanks did & #1 Underworld Broker before Don Flamingo.

IF quirk=devil fruit then AFO could have also been the previous owner of Blackbeard's fruit. (Which I guess means All Might teaches Izuku how to use Haki instead of giving him his power)

IF not, then quirks could be a special trait of a unique race, like how Fish/Mer folk breath underwater OR how Minks have electric powers OR how Lunarian have fire & flight.
