Most*(a) weeks at church the congregation is asked to raise a hand in prayer*(b) and I have noticed that I Am The ONLY person in the entire church who holds their forearm & fingers like you do when you swear in for court (vertical @ 90 degrees).

EVERYONE ELSE raising their hand, is zig hailing it at a 45 degree angle?

WHY?

And FYI, this is not a white church. There's white people, but I've observed that they DON'T raise their hand at all, probably because they think they HAVE to raise their hand like that & don't want to.

*(a) with the exception of MAYBE 5 times in the last year.

*(b) when an individual/family is given a, fancy looking, Bible, for various reasons, & a prayer is said for them specifically.

*(c) It's from Hinduism and Buddhism.
