i imagine that when pac gets back to the island after purgatory he has fit help him brush his hair because it’s gotten so long and matted that he can’t do it by himself (lie) but when fit starts brushing mass amounts of hair start falling off and they panic thinking that fit is accidentally pulling pac’s hair off

until they realize that he has not brushed his hair in over two months and hasn’t taken a shower for almost two weeks. the man is shedding hair so much because the most he’s been doing for it is tying it up into a ponytail.

that’s when they realize that pac should probably take a shower first

the last unicorn post from earlier has me thinking about the master. that yana is still in there, you know? is still someone he was, if even for a brief flash across the life of a time lord. there’s no way to unlive that life. there are ways to twist it later, sure, to make utopia into hell on earth. but the life was lived. in much the same way that the doctor can remember, can feel, the love he held onto as john smith even as that life is ripped out of his hands. the doctor choose denial and then grief and then to shutter it all away. and so john smith died, and so professor yana died, and the doctor and the master live on. the doctor has done this before, and he lives in orbit around humanity, trying to keep the best parts of them and hold them deep enough to take root (which he can pretend he gets to choose, as a time lord. as a human, it all floods in and can’t be dug back out.) but what about the master, right?

to borrow a turn of phrase: i think there are two time lords left in the universe, and they both learned how to regret.

My siblings and my mom sometime do this thing. Where anytning I say kinda just gets ignored. Any question I ask gets ignored or they just don't listen when I do say something. I asked my brother earlier whether he watched the entire movie of something he was watching last night. I asked twice and he just didn't respond. My mom walks in and asks the same question and he responded. And I just felt dumb. Later when I was making coffee I asked my mom a question, or rather I was telling her something. She just didn't say anything, didn't really acknowledge I'd said anything and I didn't even get to the end of the sentence before realizing she wasn't paying attention and kinda walked off. Whenever I do mention something on my mind I get often told "why do you even care about this?" Or, a personal favourite. "I can't believe the problems in your life are this small" and you'd think at my big age these things wouldn't bother me anymore but they do because being ignored and not listened to and talked over seems to be quite a theme. Even if we're having a family discussion no one really hears if I say anything.

But when they need help off me for something they always remember me then.
