"Oh, Philippe, you didn't have to do that!" Susannah smiled shyly, pale cheeks flushing an equally-pale pink as she took the plate from him, opting to carry it home herself. Flustered though she was that he went to such efforts for her, she was also incredibly grateful for it, and it took all of her willpower not to just dig in right then and there, instead bringing it home to enjoy.
In fact, the plate (which seemed filled to a brim when she uncovered it, a veritable feast still plenty warm from the oven) he'd given her seemed a bit paltry compared to what she'd made for him that morning, having gotten up early to make them specially for him.
"I...I made you blueberry muffins!" she proclaimed shyly as she presented the small plate of them to him with a little smile, grateful that he'd also have something to eat while she ravenously dug into the beautiful, bountiful meal he had provided her with (at any rate, it would make her feel a little less awkward, anyhow).
And dig in she did; almost as soon as she sat down, she had a fork and knife in hand and was trying her hardest not to look or sound like a hungry animal as she began to devour the flavorful chicken, potatoes, veggies, and roll (her compliments to the de Clair family chef!). She gave a hum of approval at the taste, and as she did, she hoped Philippe would enjoy the muffins too-it was a recipe her mother and father collaborated on before she was born, one she hadn't made in a long time, but was happy to bring out for him.
Alistair: So I'm not going with you, I see. Any particular reason?
Tabris: I'm not going to risk you getting hurt, Alistair.
Alistair: And you think I want you going in there and sacrificing yourself? You think I want you to die!? But there's no use arguing with you, is there? We don't have time... and you are a stubborn, stubborn woman.
Tabris: You would do something foolish.
Alistair: Maybe… I guess we'll never know now, will we? I guess this is the last chance we'll get… before this is finished, one way or another. Be careful in there.
Tabris: I love you, Alistair.
Alistair:
Steve is most likely to end up in a lavender marriage and Tony's most likely to end up in a “married for tax/immigration/inheritance fraud” reasons.
They meet as married men and pine for each other hardcore and are also trying not to read too much into how their interest seems reciprocated and oh nooooo both Immigration/the IRS and the the Church/in-laws/DADT era army dudes or whatever are snooping around at the same time at each of their marriages and they have to be so good at being married at the people they are married to oh noooooo and they other guy doesn’t know why they are suddenly being iced out and maybe they were just imagining things? maybe it’s for the best with all these eyes around on them…
random OC ask: what is an alternate life path your OC might have gone down? how different would their life be if they'd made those decisions instead?
Siobhan could have lived many lives, this was a super fun thing to think about!
Boring one first:
- she remains a forest hermit nothing happens, when the armies of the absolute threaten the outer city she hides people in the woods and solidifies her folk hero status
More exciting option
- she moves to the lower city because she wants more out of life. she feels like a fish out of water as a Druid in the city, so she seeks out other Druids (from what I can remember there are only like 2.5? jaheira sometimes, jord, and that one by the tree by the mummy house) so I could see her becoming friends with jord and by extension the rest of jaheiras brood. I could see her realizing her dreams of doing more by joining the Harpers, Druids make useful spies and they seem to be rare in the city so she could be Really Good at it. Following this path all the way she obviously becomes the High Harper and Spymaster of Baldur’s Gate. She loves jaheiras network of rat spies.
Bad End
- dark Siobhan AU lmao, she does bad things!!! Because she’s alone and scared and her parents are dead!!!! She has the criminal background instead!!!!!! (Still a Druid tho she has an innate connection to nature) she gets tadpoled and really gets along with laezel, astarion, and shadowheart and they bond over being terrible to everyone. They join the goblins and raid the grove and they go full undercover in the cult until they sack moonrise. Minthara joins the group and they become everyone’s problem. I’m calling the shadowfell the point of no return for her because two things could happen
1) she saves nightsong because the Harpers and isobel are like the first people who even extended even a tentative kindness to her and she pursues good ends (destroying the brain, no ascending anyone)
2) she goes full Bad End, everyone becomes the worst version of themself (kill nightsong, ascend EVERYONE) but it doesn’t really matter because she becomes absolute (or if she doesn’t she and astarion still become terrifying vampire despots)
Worst end
- She’s a pretty elf, she met an even prettier elf in a tavern one night. Say, whatever happened to her?
many centuries ago, faced with an abusive husband and a vague sense of inspiration, latona inscribed on her own thigh a magic-filled tattoo that could allow her to change into the form of a hyena. when she was successful, she turned those bone crushing jaws on her husband and did what she had to. what she wanted too. she continues to retain that ability, and has used it often in her life.
her hyena form is on the larger side for an adult female, standing about 2.8ft at the shoulder and weighing in at about 155lbs. her spots are less so black and more so reddish-brown.
it takes a lot of energy for her to shift back and forth, both in terms magical energy and just plain-old physical energy. just like she’s been unable to shift into hyena form before because of magical and physical exhaustion, she’s also been unable to shift back into human form as well. yes, this is a weakness that could, and has, been used against her.
the longest she’s ever been stuck in hyena form was about 3 years and was due to someone keeping her own magic from her. yes, there was a heavy mental cost for that, and it took her several more years to be comfortable in her hyena form again. she still hasn’t shaken some of the habits she gained during those three years - or the nightmares.
