i hate how chris just magically goes back to normal at the end of 1x19. like she was a minute or so away from dying!! give me the hospital scene, the lingering respiratory issues, her looking in the mirror every day until the rash eventually fades!

you're so so so right. the show really doesn't show much recovery for any of the team when they get hurt, but especially chris!! (which is nice re: writing missing scenes but terrible re: actually show it to me lol.) the passage of time in general on the show is very skewed, but i feel like a hospital scene for all of them at some point could've fit in somewhere fr.

i've got a few post 1x19 fics, and one of my favorites ever is "it's not living (if it's not with you)." even without a stris aspect (platonic or romantic), a character study on chris and her multiple near-death experiences is most definitely warranted. so much yes to the lingering issues she'd deal with and just trying to settle back into her own skin again after the VX attack.
