Sorry for saying this but Dante, the final villain in Fullmetal Alchemist 03 is one of the most incompetent villain's I've seen. Or rather, for all the talk about her being a powerful alchemist she doesn't live up to the hype.
Her plan is to cause misery upon people in the hopes one of them starts searching for the philosopher's stone out of desperation. Then, when this potential person then creates a stone she'll take it from them and use it to keep herself young/hop body to someone younger and prettier. The reason she needs someone else to create the stone is because she herself don't know how to create one. This 500+ years old woman, who was right next to Hohenheim when he created a stone, someone who knows the ingredients to a philosopher's stone, somehow doesn't know how to create one.
I can buy Hoenheim hiding the specifics of how it's done from her, but that she still doesn't know after 500 years? That she needs Ed, a fifteen year old who only studied about the stone for about four years, to create one for her instead of her doing it herself. It doesn't make sense.
The only "amazing" alchemy thing she seems to have done is to create Pride, a homunculous who can age, but how she did that is never explained.
#fullmetal alchemist#fullmetal alchemist 03#fma#fma 03#analysis#meta#I remeber seeing somewhere Dante being praised as a 'gret female villain'#and it always bothered me#because Dante is pretty much a checkbox of female villain tropes#she's obsessed with beauty/youth#she's seductive#she's not as talented as the guys#she's not that different from the evil queen in snow white#my thoughts#text

Trying to figure out the significance of each witch costume this episode 🤔
Agatha is the Wicked Witch of the West: the poster child for evil witch, has immense power and control over an army, but also has a spinoff tale depicting her tragic past where society made her the villain she never wanted to be. Very much some symbolism here about Agatha being the hero of her own story yet the villain in the true story
Jen is the Old Hag, aka the Evil Queen from Snow White: a character who valued beauty over everything, yet cast away what was most dear to her for the sake of revenge. If she couldn’t be the most beautiful in the land, then neither could Snow White. A fellow potionist with an emphasis on beauty, very fitting
Lilia is Glinda The Good: pairs well with Agatha’s costume as her antithesis. She’s the selfless counterpart to the Wicked Witch, who guides adventurers to their destinies and brings hope to the lost. Lilia saved everyone this episode while sacrificing herself…. That’s the “goodest” thing anyone could ever have asked of her
But something stumps me about Billy’s costume…. Maleficent. She stands out as a fraud in the crowd, not even a true witch but rather a Dark Fairy with dark magic. She seeks respect and equilibrium with others, but is disregarded for being different and thus lashes out with a curse. Reminiscent of Billy’s actions and motivations sure, but also reminds us that he is not a traditional witch, and that he’s not considered equal by his coven
Lmk if there’s anything significant I missed, this is all speculation after all

A poison apple's Tale
♛┈⛧┈┈•༶ Classical Tale ༶•┈┈⛧┈♛
Snow White AU ( Dark! Twisted Batfamily X Evil Queen! Reader)
One short (1) : PART 1/3
You knew life had a brilliant way to screw people but you didn't think it would screw you up so bad!
You started dazed in front of the mirror, looking completely different from what you remembered looking like a few hours ago. Your hair was silky with strands standing out in a pretextual colour along with your shining eyes. Your lips were plum making you look youthful yet sexy.
“ Your majesty the Queen, the King and Princess Snow White await your presence.” A maid bowed in front of you and spoke in stern words.
There was no doubt about it.
You had reincarnated as the evil Queen from the classic Snow White! Oh, how cruel could fate be to you? You were going to be Snow White’s evil stepmother. Not only that but you were going to die a shallow and sad death..
It made you gulp as you instantly held your neck.
“ My Queen?” The maid looked at you and you almost flinched with the way her eyes stared dazed at you. You let out a fake cough before taking a step out of your room. “ Take me to his Majesty.” The maid nodded and followed along with you.
While you passed through the hallway, many servants and officials stole hidden glances at you. You were so lost in your thoughts that you almost crashed into one of the guards standing outside his office.
He looked so shocked, with his cheeks flushed.
You let out an apologetic smile before steadying yourself for the audience.
“ Announcing her Majesty the Queen.” One of the messengers proclaimed as the doors opened and you entered. You were so nervous , your fingers trembled as you picked your dress in courtesy and bent your head slightly.
“ Rise.” You heard a bored tone, looking up to see a man in his late thirties letting out a yawn while he scanned the many documents placed in front of him. You did as said and took a seat at the near-bt couch.
Where was Snow White? Didn't the maid say she was here? You thought in your head. “ The princess is in the middle of class.” you heard cause you to be startled. The king lazily smiled and brushed his hand against his beard.
“ I see.” and no more words were exchanged.
The clock ticked with each moment passing slower than the first. The only sound that could be heard was the documents being flipped and the sound of the pen moving. You stared at the window trying to distract yourself.
“ You seem different today my queen.”
You flinched, your hand tightened on your dress as you suppressed a scowl. “ How so?” The King's eyes narrowed. “ You seem more-” His words remained half when the door barged open with a loud bang and you heard a youthful voice.
“ Daddy!” A girlish voice called as she jumped and embraced the king. You stared in shock as the king smiled and flicked the little girl's forehead. “ Behave Snow. Greet your new mother.”
You rose and smiled, this could be your chance. Maybe you could prevent that cruel fate by befriending the child. “ A pleasure my princess.”
“witch-” Did you hear that wrong? You looked up at the girl hidden behind her father who stood mere steps away from you. She was glaring at you like she wanted you dead. Wow, you were screwed.
You gave her a nervous smile and greeted her like you saw in the movie. The king, you and Snow White took a stroll outside.
You could do this! You had to if you wanted to survive.
Time passed by in a flash and before you knew it the little princess had grown up to be a bright and cheerful young woman. You had doubts that she may have really hated you but you tried your best.
The poor girl had just lost her father a few days prior. It was understandable for her to be frustrated. You decided that you needed a chance of pace and opted to go into nature for a breath of fresh air.
There was a beautiful pond not too far away. You had ordered your guards to step away and they had hesitantly obliged. You hummed as you walked at the edge of the lake with your eyes closed and reminiscing about the current events.
Snow White was different from what you had imagined. She was more stubborn, more reckless and needed guidance. It has been several years since you isekai in this world, making you get used to your role.
You weren't cruel to her but rather tried your best to be a good mother to her.
She was like a little cat trying to fight you sometimes.
You absentmindedly stared at your aged reflection in the lake. “ What are you doing here?” The sudden voice startles you. Looking back you gasp as you feel the air leave your lungs.
In front of you stands the most handsome man you've ever seen. Blue sizzling eyes with charming black hair, body that resembled Hercules himself. You felt your mouth gape open.
The stranger glared at you intensely. His eyes closely examine you. “ What brings the kingdom's Queen to this humble place?” He darted. “ I-I'm-”
You didn't know when your leg got caught in a weed present near the lake causing you to skip and fall with a loud splash sound.
You gasped for air and with a shivering cold tried to get out. “ Here, take my hand.” the stranger calmly leads you up. You take it graciously and are pulled up.
Your body does not bode well with the cold lake water absorbed in your undergarments. The man notices you freezing , and says “Follow me.” You shake your head and nervously speak. “ It's fine, I'll call the guards and return to the palace.”
The man only sighs,“My place is near here, dry yourself and return. You'll catch a cold otherwise.” You think for a moment, a sneeze falls through.
“ See.”
“ Alright, lead the way.”
Like the stranger said, a cottage isn't too far away from the lake. You follow him inside unaware of the danger lurking. As soon as you enter inside a towel is tossed your way as he sets aside some wood to heat the room. “ Go and change,” he says before walking out.
You undress and wear the garments handed to you. Your delicate skin feels the heat of the fire as you put on the shirt and dry yourself. When you're dressed , the door flickers open and the stranger returns.
You blush at the way his shirt wraps closer to his body making his body look more defined and you see details you couldn't earlier. You turn your face away. “ I didn't catch your name Mr. Helper.”
The man stares at you silently before answering, “ Bruce…Bruce Wayne.” That name sounds awfully familiar to you. Wonder why.
“ We're back old man!”
“ Father, we've returned.”
“ Bruce-”
Sounds of several young children are heard and you see them enter through the door. They all appear to be in their teens looking like their father's copy. But wait, those caps are those faces.
You pale.
No
They're the one you're supposed to avoid the most. Under stress you find yourself fainting. It's over. You think before long consciousness and getting saved by Bruce from hitting the ground.

Snow White and the Fae Co-Op
Part Two: Farcical Aquatic Ceremony
Part One
Oh jeez, you followed me out here? You're really hung up on Snow, huh? I mean that's not that surprising. Kind of part of the whole Princess-Messiah effect. Look, there's not much I can tell you about what happened immediately after. Me and my guys mind our business, when we can. But Snow did tell me about it, so if you don't mind the secondhand... did you see what I did there? Because I'm smoking? No, I'm not putting it out. You followed me out here.
Okay, so, to continue:
Snow was raised by the Evil Queen. Except not really because Evil Queen had better shit to do, probably. So Snow was raised by some well-meaning but not-super-affectionate nursemaids. Then there was a short period where she was being tutored alongside the Evil Queen's will-be-cupbearer-in-like-2-or-3 years. The pretty prince boy that Evil Queen took from Damp Kingdom. They tolerated each other.
You ever notice how kids will kind of... just awkwardly stand around each other when you put kids with like, 3 or 4 year age differences together? Like they could both be perfectly smart, normally-developed kids, but they're still weird around each other because they're at different developmental stages? Except now pepper in the fact that they're both incredibly fucked up by the fact that they're both basically political hostages. Their very existence is conditional. And Snow didn't even know how fucked she was, but growing up watching this other kid, she became very aware from a very young age, that she was in a fucked-up situation. So this other kid kind of traumatized her just by existing, but also he's the only other person who knows what she's going through. So there was this very weird 'shared resonance' between them but neither of them could really articulate it so you're basically stuck with two scared shitless kids standing next to each other and neither of them wants to talk about what they're going through because both are at very different stages for processing and articulating what they're going through.
To be honest, I don't really 'get it' but that's how Snow explained it to me. I'm still trying to figure out what she saw in the guy. He's a chickenshit. If he really cared about her, he would have come with her out here, but he didn't, and now everything's rotten and on fire. So here we are, and fuck him.
Okay getting sidetracked. You don't care about him, you care about Snow. Obviously. So, Snow grows up, and it's kind of clear, from early on, that Snow is human, but she's like... a human isotope, does that make sense? Like, yes, she is this element, but there is something more than and less than human in her, and that's kind of par for the course for someone who has been Chosen By The Deep End Fae For Nebulous, Miraculous, World-Changing Shit.
The more Snow grows up, the more Snow becomes a person, the more the Evil Queen becomes aware that there's a lot more than 'person' going on with this kid. The more she registers Snow as a threat.
And to be fair, she was right to.
Over the years the Evil Queen did try to form Snow in her own image--it couldn't be that hard, right? I mean the Fae literally jammed her heart into this fucking baby. Except... no. That's not what’s happening here. And the Fae are very very good at extremely personal 'Fuck you's,' so I need to give you an idea of what the Evil Queen is seeing in Snow.
It's very easy to hate someone you see your own weaknesses in, you see your own worst qualities reflected in someone else, except what if there was someone who was basically made in a lab to be everything you wish you were, slash everything you knew you could never be, and everyone fucking loved her for it.
The kindness you carved out of yourself years ago to survive, she has it and it makes people fawn over her and say, 'Oh the poor captive princess who's so very pretty.'
The tears that you desiccated out of yourself years ago bubble out of her like a goddamn Studio Ghibli character, and instead of the world mashing her into the dirt at that first sight of weakness like it's supposed to, it curls around her and goes, "Oh poor, poor, beautiful Princess."
The childish songs and dances and laughs and smiles that this world burned out of you are right there in her, and everyone laughs and sings and dances with her.
Everything you hated and cut out of yourself to survive lives and thrives in her, and the world cheers for it. The birds sing for it. The flowers bloom for it. The trees lower branches laden with fruit for it.
Hoof, I just made myself shudder.
But... yeah. The Evil Queen was already this Rube Goldberg machine of coping mechanisms to begin with, but seeing all that shit with Snow... I can't really fault her that it broke something in her.
And the Evil Queen still has the mirror with sight beyond sight, too, except just as ol' Mosscloak warned her, that gift is rotting in her hands.
Okay so, algorithms right? Algorithms need information input to shape themselves, BUT! It's very easy for them to get racist, right? They shape themselves to human biases. And also if it's getting a certain dataset for a certain amount of time, it will eventually train itself to do fucked up shit, because an algorithm doesn't actually reflect intelligence and reasoning and higher aspirations, it reflects human defaults, human assumptions, and human "Whatever I have to do to save effort" bullshit.
That's basically what happened with the Magic Mirror. Incredible cosmic power, incredible Fae vision and wisdom, but it was shaped more and more by human pettiness.
'oough why are you talking about tidepools and carcinization and isotopes and algorithms you're supposed to be magical and mysterious and shit.' Fuck off. I like reading. Snow taught me how to read. There hasn't been a lot to do but read.
Anyway, the information demands from the Queen basically amount to, "Tell me how Snow is my enemy" and from the Magic Mirror you basically get the Google AI results of:
Snow is totally your enemy! These are the Top 5 reasons why:
She's pretty
People like her
She's going to take everything you've ever built from you.
Cut her heart out. Kill her.
Kill her, you pussy.
Except the Queen is smart enough to know that's bullshit too, she knows that's a trap. She knows killing Snow will probably kill her too, because Snow is literally the vessel of her heart, so she hustles down to her Jury-Rigged Fuck-Fae-Deals Alchemy Witch Lab and she gets to work.
And then you smash cut to Snow, and she's a teenager now, and she's just sitting by a well like "Gee, Well, I'm just feeling real low what with this whole 'being a political prisoner for my entire childhood' thing." And this next part is boring so I'm going to skip over it--
Jeez, look, Snow always told this part better than me so it's better if--
Really? Tch--You're insatiable.
So, okay, I know the story says the evil queen dressed the Princess in rags and hid her away, but that's really more of human distortion and, unfortunately, general masses not really understanding that there's actually a very clear hierarchy in noble households.
The Evil Queen kept Snow as a Lady in Waiting, though, effectively, she was meant to be in more or less the same position as Prince Damp Kingdom as a cup-bearer and harp player: Human hood ornaments. Symbols of the Queen's conquest and power and how everything is hunky dory with her in charge.
But have you ever put together a cute outfit, and then you put a hat on the outfit, and then the hat distracts from the whole outfit and you're like, "This outfit would be complete if I was a Hat Person but I am not a Hat Person."
Snow is the Hat, but also the Evil Queen refuses to admit that she is not a Hat Person.
So I mean, all things considered Snow was pretty clean and well-kept during her stint in the palace, but of course she understood that she was in this very intense balancing act where she knew the more that people loved her, the more danger that put her in with the Queen. So she.... needed to take breaks where she could. She needed to stare down into a dark hole full of water, apparently.
Okay, so Snow is by the well right? And she's mindlessly singing into it, and she's hearing a voice harmonizing with her, and harp music playing too, but she kind of assumes its her own imagination. Snow has a... funky effect on reality, a funky relationship to it, and it kind of freaks her out. You know how judges can bang a gavel and suddenly something is law? Imagine if you could change something about the world just because you were sad about something or kind of horny for a little too long, just because you wanted something badly enough, the rules are briefly broken. Snow's broken rules before, and she doesn't trust that shit. The only other magic she's seen has been brief glimpses of the Evil Queen's mirror and her fucked up Faerie-law-circmventing alchemy, both are driven and warped by willpower, so... it's only natural that Snow fears her own.
Snow doesn't trust herself. Song is... a safer form for these things. It gives them body and ritual but lets them disperse. Keeps them contained. Look, I can't explain all the rules because I don't know all the rules. All I got is rocks singing to me, okay? But she's singing and she hears... accompaniment, and she doesn't really think anything of it because she knows her will can change her own perception, at the very least.
Also like, a shit-ton of finches have shown up, but that's fine, birds are fine, they're just hanging out.
The song she's singing is mostly just vocalizations at first, but gradually those are turning into words, those words into wants, and then theres another voice harmonizing along with her own, so equal in loneliness she thinks its an echo, rendered deeper by the distortions of the well, but then its punctuated by the pluck of harp strings, and she thinks, maybe that's just her imagination. But then she sees a shadow behind her in her reflection in the well, her singing abruptly steers into a short yelp, and she immediately throws an elbow behind herself and catches Prince Damp Kingdom hard across the face and kaboonnng his harp clatters on the ground and he's covering his nose and he's muffling a very unprincely, "Oh shit--" into his hands and Snow is saying, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, you scared me--"
And he's still muffling his voice through his hands as he's trying to stem his bloody nose like, "No, I misread that--I didn't mean to--owww-fuck--"
And Snow's like, "Let me see."
And the Prince goes, "It's fine, I'm fine," even though you can see blood on his chin now and this is all kind of a comedy of errors of royal politeness
And Snow insists, "Let me see," and the Prince immediately drops his hands because, as I've said, Snow has that effect on people and then Snow's hands fly over her own mouth.
"Is it bad?" says the Prince, his voice already nasally from swelling.
"Um," Snow fishes a kerchief from one of her tie-on pockets, "I can--um..." she dabs his face and the kerchief is pretty much immediately sodden with his blood, and she withdraws her hand with the kerchief as he tilts his head up to stem the blood more, and he kind of catches her in the corner of his eye, the way his own blood-sodden handkerchief matches the tint of her lips and the scarlet of her hair net studded with pearls, except she's pulling this teeth-gritting wincing "Eeeee..." face. And there's a beat and she just says, "I'm so sorry," again.
"S'fine..." Prince Damp Kingdom manages as she fishes another kerchief from her other tie-on pocket and hands it to him because she's scared she broke his nose and doesn't want to touch it, "Sorry for... scaring you?"
He kind of hopes that he caught an elbow to the face because he scared her, because the alternative is she hates him, because they've both been in this messed-up situation since basically both of them were in diapers, and what the hell has he been doing about it? He's the older kid, so what the hell has he been doing to figure out how to get them both the hell out of there? The whole world's eyes have been on both of them, the poor poor beautiful Snow White, Princess-Messiah, Chosen One Who Will Liberate 3 Kingdoms From the Grasp of the Wicked Queen If She Doesn't Get Fucking Murdered First... and Prince Chickenshit of the Dishwater Hair from Damp Kingdom... who is just... standing there... with his stupid fucking cup or his stupid fucking harp and isn't doing anything to help her.
Which, like, is what I've been saying.
But Snow would tell me I'm not being fair. Snow would say, "But that's the point, even if he was the older kid, he was still a kid."
And then she would get on with the story. Again, she told this story better than me.
So Snow says to the Prince, "Yes--I--I know--I mean, I'm sorry," and then to stop them from basically falling into a feedback loop of 'sorry's' she adds, "I'm just... kind of on edge these days."
"Is there anything I can do?" he says automatically, his voice now muffled beneath hand and more-slowly-soaking-with-blood kerchief and she gives him a polite but crinkle-browed smile and he's kind of gutted in this moment because he becomes immediately aware that she came to the conclusion that He Cannot Help Her in Any Significant Way a long time ago. And that's kind of fucked up, because she's younger than him, but also she Knows Mysterious Things and the world reacts strangely to her, so that's doubly gutting. Snow is the main fucking character, she is terrible and glorious purpose, and he has no impact on her story.
But then he remembers that song, the song she was singing that drew him out here, that drew his own song out, how fucking lonely it was, so he's not going to give up.
"I mean," he backtracks, "Why are you on edge?"
And something flickers across her face because like, she's used to being this beautiful and distant thing to people. More of a concept than a person, a beautiful story of a sad princess, hands clasped together with fingers interlaced in a tower.
"Let's--Let's get your nose looked at first, okay?" she manages, before taking the elbow of his free arm. She glances at his harp clattered on the ground and picks that up, too. "Come on," and she tugs him forward and he stumbles along with her, trying to negotiate stemming the blood from his nose with the jostling of his own footsteps while trying not to fuck up his own cartilage further. The finches trail after them follow in their bickering, zippy, chaotic way.
Well, this is ash. Do you want to go in?

thinking about once upon a time and the absolute WILD character relationships:
rumplestiltskin's dad is peter pan BUT peter pan is evil and one of the most dangerous villains in the show and rumpelstiltskin's mom is also one of the main villains
rumplestiltskin and belle's son is also morpheus the god of dreams
the evil queen and wicked witch of the west are half-sisters and their mother is the queen of hearts and they both at different times were romantically involved with robin hood
snow white and prince charming's daughter's husband also got with her ex-boyfriend aka rumpelstiltskin's son's mom
the snow queen was snow white and prince charming's daughter's foster mom
red riding hood and dorothy are lesbians and in love with each other
mulan has unrequited romantic feelings for aurora
captain hook's brother is also jim hawkins from treasure island
hades had a brief fling with the wicked witch of the west
alice in wonderland is the daughter of mother gothel and captain hook and she and robin hood's daughter are in love
rapunzel is also cinderella's evil stepmother
snow white and hercules had a short-lived romance when they were younger
prince charming's evil twin has a romance with cruella de vil
technically henry is his own step great uncle
#i try not to think abt the robin/alice romance too much#bc then i think about since hook is henry's stepfather#and technically alice would be henry's stepsister#and robin is regina's niece/henry's cousin#TECHNICALLY they are non-biologically related via henry#i try not to think too much about the ouat family tree in general lmao#once upon a time#ouat#that's probably not even half of the wildest stuff that happens in the show

if youre still taking requests for her, could you do jennifer check x snowwhite!reader? ur fics are so amazing :))
hi honey! I'm always taking requests for her, I missed writing her haha! I hope you liked this.
summary - people were confused on how snow white and the evil queen could be best friends, not knowing that best friends usually don't kiss like they do.
warning - girl on girl kissing.
the gif I use isn't mine, divider by @newlips
When people would think about you and Jennifer Check, they’d think Snow White and The Evil Queen. Where one would go, the other would follow. They’d wonder how the two of you could be best friends with such extreme differences in personalities. You were someone that was too sweet, so kind and lovable. You’d always think and put others before yourself, always so caring. How could something so sweet be surrounded by something so dark? But they never saw what happens behind closed doors or when no one is watching, even in the darkest corners of the school.
You and Jennifer are hanging in your bedroom, you lie on your back on your bed. Hair sprawled out underneath you, your mouth open as squeals escape you. Your eyes screwed shut as Jennifer leans over you, her perfectly manicured fingers digging into your sides as she tickles you. Your soft, sweet laugh brings a real smile to her lips, one only reserved for you.
“Jen!” You gasp, sucking in a sharp breath as she continues, your giggles bouncing off the walls. “Stop!” You wiggle underneath her, trying to escape her torturous fingers but you’re trapped. Your tear-filled eyes slowly open, connecting with her pretty blue ones.
Suddenly it felt as though everything had stopped. Time had slowed down, silence replacing the once joyous laughter. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears, followed by the heavy breathing that escapes you and Jennifer. Has she always been this beautiful? When did your palms become so sweaty? Slowly your eyes drift down to her plump pink lips, you watch as her tongue swipes against her lips, wetting them.
Jennifer watches you, her eyes hazy as they drift down to your lips, watching them part and breathy gasps escape them. “Snowy…” Her voice raspy, but soothing. It suited her. Her nickname that she made after hearing what people called them fell from her lips. Jennifer’s hand cups your cheek, her thumb stroking it as her gaze flickers between your eyes and lips. “I don’t wanna hurt you, Baby Snow.” Her thumb moves against your plump bottom lip, watching you squirm beneath her. “You’re the only good thing I have…”
Your eyes widen as your hands move to grasp her hips, wanting to keep her as close to you as possible. She was your queen in your eyes, what people said was true. She was The Evil Queen, but never to you. You were her little Snow White or Baby Snow or Snowy. You’d kneel before her if it meant you could be hers forever. “Y–you won’t. I trust you, Jen. I always have and always will.” Your voice small and sweet, just like you.
And as those words slipped from your pretty red lips, all control Jennifer had broken, slipping through her fingers. Her lips crash against yours, eyes slipping closed, both hands cupping your cheeks and she presses her whole body against you, wanting to get closer. You let out a soft moan, following her movements, your grip on her hips tighten before they slide up her back and into her hair, tugging on it causing moans to fall from her lips.
Her tongue swipes against your bottom lip, smirking as you eagerly open your mouth, whining as her tongue slips inside, dominating you before you can even think. You were hers forever, the marks she left on you that night proved it to everyone.
It felt like the fairytale you had always dreamed of.
thank you for reading!

ever after academy
*ੈ✩‧₊˚༺☆༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚
(note; you dont need to have watched ever after high to understand this, its not going to be an exact clone of eah, just inspired! as long as you know grimms fairytales, you should be able to understand this stuff. i do highly reccommend the show if you havent seen it though :>)
R E B E L S
Lenore — Daughter of the Evil Queen, Lenore accidentally finds herself as some sort of leader to the Rebels after publicly denying her horrid destiny to poison the one she's not meant to love.
Duke — Son of the Dark Fairy, Duke doesn't care much for his destiny, choosing to ignore it entirely as he much prefers to use his talents for entertainment.
Pluto — Son of the Chesire Cat, Pluto often finds himself falling into the background and going unnoticed. That is, until his roommate casts him aside and he stumbles upon a place he can finally be himself without worry; his home with the Rebels.
Eulalie — Daughter of the Mad Hatter, Eulalie is often looked down upon and treated as if she were a child simply because of her unique understanding of the world. She hopes that her new friends, the Rebels, will be able to understand her better.
Berenice — Daughter of Little Red Riding Hood, Berenice would consider herself to be pretty outspoken, refusing to let anyones status get in the way of what they deserve to hear. ((i wasn't going to add notes here, i feel like it kills the immersion, BUT I GENUINELY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WRITE FOR HER INTRO. i feel like i know nothing about her jfshjf))
R O Y B E L
Morella — Daughter of Goldilocks, Morella is often pulled between groups. Shes incredibily loyal to all of her friends, but her not-quite-royal not-quite-rebel lineage leads her to questioning with who she truly belongs.
R O Y A L S
Annabel Lee — Daughter of Snow White, Annabel Lee, being the future queen means that eyes are always on her, and so she must constantly maintain her perfect porcelain persona. Its for this reason that she finds herself naturally adopting the role of leader for the Royals.
Prospero — Son of Prince Charming, Prospero is the most eligible bachelor in all of Ever After Academy-- much to his chagrin. To avoid the unwanted attention without disregarding his destiny, he agrees to a mutually beneficial fake-relationship with his best friend Annabel.
Ada — Daughter of the Swan Queen, Ada is rather discontent with her destiny, desiring to be more like the fairytale pioneers she'd grown up adoring. If there was any way for her to be percieved as more than she is, she'd do it in a heartbeat.
Montresor — Son of the Queen of Hearts, Montresor is not what most would consider a 'typical royal', his callous personality leading many to first believe him to be a rebel. The Wonderland students say he gets it from his mother.
Will — Son of Sleeping Beauty, Will knows he isn't what was intended for his destiny, and if hes being honest with himself, he doesn't even really want it. He'd much prefer to live his own life while one of his many sisters got to follow in their mothers footsteps instead.
EAH inspiration and explanations below the cut lmk your thoughts + if youd do anything differently! im still open to changing things if any better ideas come up :>
*ੈ✩‧₊˚༺☆༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚
gender is a social construct, dont mind the fact everyone but prospero is based on a girl 😭😭there wasnt a whole lot of male characters to pick from, and the ones that were there didn't suit anyone ;p
ALSOO LAST QUICK NOTE! i know that some characters would definetely suit others best (ex. like montresor couldve easily been someone like faybelle or courtly, but i ended up picking lizzie instead), HOWEVER i really wanted their status as a royal/rebel to match the nevermore groups. so the misfits are all rebels, and the posh gang, i forget what they get called lol, are all royals even if logically montresor should be a rebel because he is a horrific human being!! oh and ofc morella is stuck in the middle, being both royal and rebel.
OKAY END OF TANGENT, heres my thought process;
Lenore — Raven Queen; i dont think i need to explain this one, it just felt right. plus she already has tons of raven imagery + even had a pet dragon named nevermore! it was too perfect lol
Duke — Faybelle Thorn; struggled a bit with him, but ended on faybelle since it suits him being a magician. hes definetely not as mean as her unless its warranted, we all know he has a mean streak, cough attempted to murder annabel, cough cough. but yeah, i think the misfit magician/fairy vibe works.
Pluto — Kitty Chesire; between the cat motif, gloomier color pallete, as well as the ability to disappear and go unnoticed, i thought this worked as a nice parallel!
Eulalie — Madeline Hatter; its the weird girl aura to be completely honest lmfao. eulalie definetely isnt as mad as maddie, but you cant tell me they wouldnt be best friends. and the color schemes arent a complete match, but i think maddies colors would look SO good on eula!
Berenice — Cerise Hood; honestly. this was mostly vibes, i think she'd look good with a red cape LOL. but it also works in the sense that shes kind of a tomboyish free spirit. lmk your thoughts on if she should be half wolf like cerise is, because i actually dunno if we should keep that in the au ;p
Morella — Blondie Locks; there were probably hundreds of better choices, but i was stumped. i needed someone that was both a royal and rebel, and the only options i could think of were blondie and poppy. between the two blondie was a better choice, morella doesnt have much of a rapunzel vibe.
Annabel Lee — Apple White; same thing as lenore, do i really gotta explain this one?😭 visually and storywise it just works so perfectly! theyre both the top of their class, both the leader of their respective groups, ANDD they both pretend to be straight. your honor i rest my case
Prospero — Daring Charming; so like. prospero is very much not daring-esque. like at all lmfao. and im aware of that! but it works in the sense that he'd be annabels 'prince' and a lot of people fawn over him (much to his disliking, aroace rep lets gooo).
Ada — Duchess Swan; this was one of the original ideas that sparked this whole au cause WOW THEYRE SIMILAR! both of them desire to be higher class than they really are, and are willing to change the way they behave to reflect that. ada probably wouldnt try to steal destinies in this au, but she definetely would get buddy-buddy with all of the more popular royals (which would be why she falls so hard for prospero)
Montresor — Lizzie Hearts; THIS ONE. THIS WAS TOUGH. im still not 100% sure if this was the right choice, but its a start! basically the thought process was lizzie is a royal who could still be perceived as cruel. add in the mommy issues (this queen of hearts would be a worse parent than lizzies) and firey red color scheme, it felt like the best choice for him. i did consider sparrow hood at one point but lowkey i dont think im ready for that combination LOL. which is fine cause i forgot sparrow was a rebel and that makes the whole idea fall apart, sigh
Will — Briar Beauty; this actually started as a joke since he sleeps through classes, but then it kind of grew on me lmao. it also works in the sense that theyre both unsatisfied with the life they lived/the life they need to live. originally he was going to be alistair wonderland, since theyre both kind of just normal guys, but i feel like theres less story potentional with that idea. so im sticking with briar unless someone convinces me otherwise ;p
#can you tell i like to yap about stuff im invested in lmfaoo#its not the perfect au but GAHH i am so happy with how its turning out so far!#highly reccomend making self indulgent au's/stories/fanart because it is genuinely such a blast#hope this all made sense#mostly the explanations lol sometimes my thought process is really messy#if you notice any spelling errors no u dont shhh#ALSO ALSO I FEEL LIKE ITS IMPORTANT TO NOTE;#they are still their canon nevermore ages!#the idea of aging them down felt weird to me so instead of a highshool its more of a college (or academy hehh)#rmm's ever after academy (nevermore au)#time of the mess of character tags#annabel lee nevermore#prospero nevermore#ada nevermore#montresor nevermore#will nevermore#morella nevermore#lenore nevermore#duke nevermore#pluto nevermore#eulalie nevermore#berenice nevermore#nevermore webtoon

In the 2025 reimagining, Snow White is referred to by the Magic Mirror as someone who is "pure as snow".
Snow White has ALWAYS been about purity of soul, it just used a thing called subtlety.
Snow White is NOT only about physical beauty, but also inner beauty. Snow White is kind, compassionate, humble, while the Queen is a sadistic and tyrannical figure in the tale. The mirror meant inner beauty all the time, but the Queen, who was vain and cruel, didn't understand this, because to her being a beautiful person meant only having a good look. So, she ordered Snow White's murder. It's unbelievable that no one get this.

youtube
Historically, fairy tales have been critical to children's values and moral development. Their goal is to communicate a value, because fairy tales were invented to help children know how to be good people.
Here are some of the key themes and lessons that can be derived from Snow White:
The Dangers of Vanity: The Evil Queen's obsession with beauty and her jealousy toward Snow White illustrate the dangers of vanity and the destructive nature of envy. It teaches that inner beauty and kindness are more important than outward appearances.
The Value of Kindness and Friendship: Snow White's relationships with the seven dwarfs highlight the importance of friendship, loyalty, and kindness. The dwarfs protect and care for her, demonstrating that genuine relationships are built on mutual respect and support.
Resilience and Perseverance: Snow White’s ability to endure hardship and maintain her goodness, despite the Evil Queen’s attempts to harm her, conveys a message of resilience. It suggests that maintaining one's integrity and goodness in the face of adversity is a virtue.
The Consequences of Evil: The story ultimately shows that evil deeds lead to downfall. The Evil Queen's malicious actions result in her own destruction, reinforcing the idea that wrongdoing will eventually have consequences.
The Importance of Trust: Snow White’s decision to trust the dwarfs and later the prince reflects the importance of trusting the right people. It underscores that while caution is necessary, trusting those who have proven themselves can lead to positive outcomes.
Transformation and Redemption: The ending of the tale, where Snow White is awakened by true love’s kiss, can symbolize the transformative power of love and redemption. It suggests that love can conquer evil and bring about positive change.
Overall, these lessons contribute to the timeless nature of "Snow White," making it relevant across generations.
The moral of Snow White's story is “Vanity will not take you far, but kindness will”.
So, the post is promoting the same nonsense we are seeing since the cast names came out: Gal Gadot is hotter than Rachel Zegler. As if Rachel Zegler isn't a beauty herself.

Plus, Rachel Zegler has spoken against Palestinian genocide and Gal Gadot is an enthusiastic Zionist who served in the Israeli army (like everyone in the state, but I don't want to victimize her by saying she has been plagiarized since childhood). However I don't think here is political.
Edit - 17th march 2025
Gal Gadot is reportedly annoyed by the drama surrounding the live-action ‘SNOW WHITE’ film.
A source says, “She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel [Zegler] but they are not friends. They have nothing in common... They did a job together and that’s it.”
The source also added, “[They] have a huge age gap and very different political views.”
Gal Gadot is an industry plant. Some people is saying that she can’t act, she can’t sing, and she can’t dance. Ok, I don't agree that she can't act. Actually, I liked her both as Wonder Woman and Linnet Ridgeway in Death on the Nile (2022). I agree that singing and dancing are BASIC skills that an actor in a Disney movie should have. I NEVER NEVER saw Gal Gadot dancing or singing.
And it’s funny how Disney adults are calling this movie “woke” because Rachel Zegler isn’t white. GAL Gadot isn’t white either! According to Zionist mythology, she’s ‘Semite’. So now we have two brown women in traditionally white roles, but y’all are only throwing a fit over Rachel Zegler? The one who can actually do it all —act, sing, and dance—you know, the basic skills required for a musical?
On the other hand Rachel Zegler is a theater kid: She sings, she dances, she acts. So why pair her with Gal Gadot of all people? Did no one else want the role? Because that’s what it’s looking like. If I would be cynical I would comment that this looks like a political move Disney did to not piss Zionist and pro-Palestinians activist at the same time.
This is my opinion.

Lilia's premonitions theory (contains spoilers)
Well, my brain has been in overdrive and I love puzzles so... "buckle up!"
If it's too long for you - you can jump straight into the last section titled "How does it all fit"... I really think there could be something there.
OTHER THEORIES
There have been many theories about Lilia's powers and her moments of visions. Some think it's just some loose wiring on most part, some think it's past traumatic events catching up with her, some think they are predictions of the future, some even went as far as suggesting that Lilia (loosely) predicts the last words of the next person who's going to die (based on the fact she said "Get off me!" in ep.2 and we hear Sharon shout "Don't touch me!" in ep.3). But we keep seeing more and more of Lilia's blips in ep.4, they make less sense to any of the above theories, so personally I am not sold on any of them.
There is also a possibility that her premonitions could just be linked to the events that follow - but the words aren't accurate because Lilia can't quite see the "full picture". So her screaming in her shop could be linked to Teen's reaction when Salem Seven attacked in that same episode. Or when she says "Alice, don't", we see Agatha pleading "Don't" with Rio.
BUT then I saw people discussing that maybe these are actually "misplaced" moments in time - from the future AND the past. And that they will make sense if they were said in the correct moment, but somehow got lost and sent to a different time. For example - when Lilia talks about the vampire by the campfire "You know, we really kind of hated each other in the beginning, but now..." then zones out. We could assume she's still talking about the vampire, but this pause could actually be easily filled with "I love you guys!" from the "botox" scene in ep.3, because she was actually touched by their campfire stories. Or when she shouts "Get off me" in ep.2, it could be taken right out of the ep.4 scene where she's burning on the floor, shouting "Get it off me!".
WHAT WE KNOW
All those theories got me mighty intrigued, so of course I made a list of all of Lilia's apparent 'blips' and tried to make sense of it! I believe there are two types of Lilia's visions - one where she has "wrong messages" and one where she exclaims names of tarot cards.
The tarot cards she mentioned so far:
Three of Pentacles - right after she wrote the coven names down
High Priestess - when she meets Jen at Agatha's house
Three of Swords - as Jen is trying to heal Teen
The "blips" are:
shouting and flailing her hands - when Agatha and Teen ask her to join the coven in ep.2
writing the coven names (same scene as above) - this is the only premonition where we see burst of power - the electricity flicker around her, the water boils and it all seems really intense.
shouting "Get off me!" and looking like she was pushing someone away - just before the witches begin summoning the Road
"I love you guys" - when Jen questions Sharon about her poison symptoms in ep.3
"Try to save Agatha" - when she and Agatha are searching for potion ingredients
"Which is it, am I wispy or am i kooky?" - when talking to Alice about her mum during the trial in ep.4
"Alice! Alice don't" - shortly after the one above
Zones out - during the campfire scene when she talks about the vampire scar
We also know that her Air trial will be all about tarot (confirmed by Patti herself) and the promos show Lilia in some sort of princess dress and tiara, Agatha as the green Wicked Witch of the West and Jen looking like the Evil Queen from Snow White but in the old hag form. This makes me think in her trial she will have to confront all those stereotypes about witches that she always said she hated so much. She will likely have to do a tarot reading too. There is also a room with ceiling full of swords that could fall down on them. And finally, in that same room there is a brief shot with her and Salem Seven, flowing mid-air.
One promo also shows one of Salem Seven (Vertigo) opening her mouth to release a swarm of cicadas (her spirit animal).
We know the witches slowly regain their powers once they passed their trial.
There is also this thing about Alice (I will need to make a separate post to explain this) - where my prediction is that in ep.5 she will try to protect the coven by attacking Agatha while she's in her "possessed" form. Unfortunately, Agatha will (willingly or not) completely syphon her powers and Alice will die.
HOW DOES IT ALL FIT?
Well. I think we will potentially get some answers during or after Lilia's trial, once she starts regaining her powers. I think Lilia will try to send a message to the witches in the past, but she will still be struggling with getting the times right.
I could almost see a scene where she sits at her crystal ball or does a tarot reading and talks, not realising that EVERYTHING she says is "sent out" without any filter.
Something like...
.........
Lilia is in a room with other witches, it is a high pressure situation because the Salem Seven are chasing them. Her task is to send the names of the witches to her past self so that Agatha can form her coven - they realised that without the list, they would've never gotten there. Maybe their existence or memory depends on it.
So Lilia starts a tarot reading and begins "tuning in" to her memories, saying the names of the revealed cards out loud - "High Priestess" (she says it in a surprise voice as her vision suddenly flickers to the moment of meeting Jen), "Three of Swords" etc. Maybe one of other witches in the room starts antagonising her kookiness, so that she would just hurry up, because this is not working and Salem Seven are close. So Lilia responds in annoyance "Which is it, am I wispy or am I kooky?!" But then she realises she is standing in front of Alice from the fire trial (in spirit anyway, Lilia is still physically in the scary room). She exclaims in relief "Alice!" and realises this is also her chance to warn Alice so that she doesn't die. She begins saying "Alice, don't try to save Agatha!", but mid way through, her spirit gets transported to the first trial, searching for potion ingredients. So Alice only hears "Alice don't..." and Agatha hears "...try to save Agatha". At some point Lilia is transported to sitting in front of the campfire, reminiscing their stories. This is a fond memory so she starts saying "You know, we really kind of hated each other in the beginning, but now.." and before she can finish, she gets transported back to the "Huge tiny lies" house "...I love you guys".
Maybe at some point Salem Seven break their way into the tarot room and one of them attacks Lilia. She screams "Get off me!" and pushes them away (while her spirit is transported to the moment before they opened the Road). Vertigo releases her cicadas, flying around Lilia's head. She flails her hands and screams, while her spirit is inside her shop where Agatha and Teen just approach her. She realises she's close, focuses all her energy and channels her spirit to write the list of names herself. It takes enormous effort to stay focused on that one moment, hence the energy around her is bursting. She either doesn't have enough time to finish writing Rio's name or feels cheeky and draws a black heart instead. She finishes by revealing and naming the last tarot card: "Three of Pentacles". She completes the task, the End!
....
So..... What does everyone think?!!!!!!

Through the Mirror
00. Prologue
Inspired by Coraline, reader is gender-neutral, no use of Y/N.

This new home was painfully dreary. Based on the copper-colored bricks that built up the walls and the immensely overgrown shrubbery around it, you assumed this was a pre-war building. There were neighboring houses, but they all looked as copper, lifeless, and boring as yours. As you assisted your parents unload the U-Haul, you saw a little girl ride past on her little bike with the expression of a Victorian child—poor thing, so young and living in a place with the mental stimulation of the color beige. Your father procured the key from one of his pockets, slotting it into the rusty doorknob and turning it. The door simply opened by itself, and you heard him mumble something about fixing it to himself before entering. Your mother followed, waving away cobwebs with her hand. You remained outside for a moment, and it wasn’t until you heard your mother shriek your name that you picked up a box and scampered inside.
The inside of the home was, predictably, as depressing as its exterior. Dusty, with cobwebs along walls like terrible little decorations. You screamed when you saw a cockroach scuttle past your feet, its wretched antenna going this way and that before fleeing out the open front door.
“Bugs, great. Just what I need.” Your mother muttered in a rather disgruntled tone, arms crossed over her chest. She seemed even more upset by this move than you were, even if it was supposed to be good for her and your father’s job. Not that you even knew what it was that they did.
“Nothing an exterminator can’t fix, honey.” Your father said in a cheerful tone, ever the optimist.
“Exterminators cost money. Money we don’t have.” Your mother retorted, killing another roach beneath her shoe with a rather cruel stomp that sounded throughout the empty house.
“You’ll see,” your father began, “things will be just fine.”
“Yeah, right.”
Your father sighed, and you gave him a sympathetic smile before setting the box you were holding down on the dusty hardwood floors.
“___” your mother called out, “go pick out your room.”
You nodded, walking past your at-odds parents and heading up the stairs. There was an old carpet that lined the hallway, like in picture books. It was a faded blue and you think there were once flowers printed on the fabric. You decided to walk on the regular hardwood instead when the carpet began to squish under your feet. You don’t think the carpet was supposed to do that.
You peered into different rooms, making keen observations about each one that would help you pick out the least worst one. One room had a hole in the floor, your mother was gonna blow a gasket when she saw it. The next room sent you running out of it when you saw the cockroaches gathered around like a council of terrible little things. The third room you saw was the one you picked. Compared to the last two, it wasn’t in a state of disrepair nor did it make your skin crawl. It was bland because of course it was, but you figured some paint, furniture, and decorations could fix it right up. Two windows let natural light inside your bedroom, there was a closet with bi-fold doors, and a mirror.
The mirror caught your attention the most. It was undoubtedly an antique, the glass of the mirror surrounded by a golden border with swirling decals carved into it. It was beautiful and vaguely reminded you of the Evil Queen’s mirror in Snow White.
“Mom!” You called out, “Come up here!”
You heard footsteps come up the stairs, a disgusted sound when the carpet squished beneath her foot, an angry sigh at the hole in the floor, and a shriek when she found the council of roaches before she finally found your room.
“Couldn’t have told me what room you were in?” She sighed, arms still crossed.
“Sorry.” You said, before quickly changing focus, “check out this mirror.”
Your mother glanced at the mirror briefly, eyebrow raised.
“It’s creepy”
“I think it looks pretty.” You defended.
“Sweetheart, are you sure you don’t wanna get rid of that one and just get a new mirror?” Your mother asked.
“I’m sure.”
She sighed.
“As long as you’re happy, bug.”
You wouldn’t begin to understand the trouble that mirror would get you into until that night.

Also spoilers but I wanted to talk about the ending to Snow White (2025) bluntly.
One of the biggest differences between the 2025 film and the original is that it culminates in an actual confrontation between Snow White and the Evil Queen. In the original, the dwarves go kill the Evil Queen in retribution after Snow goes into her coma, and then some guy shows up like "Wow, hot corpse! Mind if I make out with it?"
Like. No shade to original Snow White. This was literally the first cel animated movie ever made. The writing took a backseat to the sheer sorcery of being able to put hand-drawn moving pictures on a screen like this.
The Prince was supposed to have a larger role in the film but wound up being mostly cut because he was too hard to animate. This is actually something the live-action film rectified, by bringing the sequences he was supposed to have back into the movie.
Snow White walked so that the entire history of traditional 2-D animation could run.
But something I really like in the 2025 film is that final confrontation with the Evil Queen. It's so perfectly crafted as a contest of ideologies in a film that seems tailor-made for this moment in history.
Like. Okay. Lemme walk you through this, play by play.
Standing in front of a mob of people Snow's gathered to resist her, the Evil Queen conjures a rose and waxes poetic about the ephemeral beauty of flowers, then magically disintegrates it into dust to reiterate how fragile it is. This is a metaphor for Snow White and her appeal to the people currently supporting her.
The Evil Queen, by contrast, claims to offer security and prosperity. She conjures a flawless glass dagger to represent herself. Perfectly crafted and honed. A beautiful and lethal weapon.
And then she presses the dagger into Snow's hand and dares Snow White to kill her with it. This is the classic villainous "Embrace the Dark Side and strike me down" card, played here as an ideological contest. The Queen represents a philosophy of Might Makes Right and Fuck You Got Mine.
The metaphor of going "This rose is you, this knife is me, now take this knife and stab me if you dare," is pretty on-the-nose. She is challenging Snow White to take back her kingdom... by embracing the Queen's belief system and becoming the kind of ruler that she is. To cast away the rose and take up the glass knife.
When Snow won't do it, the Queen orders her executed and that's when Snow plays her hand. She brought the "Talking the monster into submission by sheer strength of personality" card to the table.
But what makes it stand out for me is that she doesn't talk the Evil Queen down. The Queen is too cruel and full of herself to care what Snow thinks or has to say.
Instead, she appeals to the Queen's radicalized followers. She reminds them of what their country was like before this regime took power, and what it can be again... but only if they put down their weapons, let go of the Queen's militant belief systems, and come home to the people they've been alienated from by following after her.
Because Snow White is not a person of power. She is no Chosen Hero. She has no sorcerous powers or deadly fighting skills. Her only power is that she's beloved by a community who are willing to prop her up with their collective power.
And when the Queen's followers turn and become Snow's followers, then all the sorcery and Strongwoman Leadership in the world doesn't matter anymore. The collective are stronger.
Symbolized ultimately by the Queen taking her dagger, taking the thing she crafted to represent her, and trying to plunge it into Snow herself... only for one of Snow's followers to shoot it from her hand with a crossbow. And then for that last artistic touch, the dagger, the thing whose beauty and power was supposed to be eternal, wilts and disintegrates into dust just like the rose.
The Queen's ideology crushed into sand by Snow's faith in people to want better lives than what the Queen's regime could provide for them.
This. I cannot reiterate it enough. This is the movie for this moment in history.

Random TCF Related Thought - Fairy Tales
In canon proper, we know that fairy tales do exist in Nameless 1, or at least, fiction geared towards children.
Well, I was reading some TCF React fics and found a hilarious moment where Heni!KRS was explaining fairy tales to Cale's kids and was shooketh to find out that Cale had butchered some of Earth's classic fairy tales into loosely-based-on stories (to put it gently) cuz apparently the "princess-in-distress" trope would not be relatable if every princess IRL they know could easily save themselves in a simailar or same situation. Therefore, Badass Action Girl!Princesses FTW.
Where am I going with this?
So my shower thought is that Cale one day decided to invoke his inner Brothers Grimm and published his own book series based off of Earth's classic fairy tales.
But here's the twist: He uses the Walt Disney versions but made every Disney Princess BAMFs.
Sorry, Mr. Walt Disney. Your own versions of Earth's classic fairy tales were a product of your time, but your 50s sensibilities won't fly when all of the princesses Cale knows can easily break a full grown man man in tiny little pieces, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Besides, he wants little girls like On and Lily to have strong female role models to aspire to be even if it's in fiction.
Sleeping Beauty? Aurora is based on Roselyn. She finds out that she got cursed by Maleficent, who is a whole Dragon that her father had offended by failing to invite her to his unborn daughter's christening like he promised, so she threw away her status as crown princess to become a mage out of spite and break the curse on her own. In the end, she succeeds and managed to tracked down Maleficent to her lair. Maleficent is so impressed by her moxie that the Dragon took her on as an apprentice. By the time, Prince Phillip shows up hoping to slay the Dragon and take Aurora back to his kingdom so they can be married, the story is already over.
Beauty and the Beast? Belle is the village chief's daughter and the most beautiful girl in the tribe. Belle is a Tiger and Lion mixed-blood Beastman and also pining after the cute human bookworm named Adam in the next village over. Dorph the greater value Gaston can go fuck himself for all she cares. TLDR: Role Reversal AU and Belle is Dark Tiger!Alberu.
Cinderella? Cinderella is a secretly a Shaman. Everything is the same up until the whole dress ruining scene. After that, Cinderella invokes the spirit of Queen Jopis, stopped giving a shit, and turned the rest of the plot into a shitshow. Her evil stepfamily is given the OG!Brothers Grimm treatment.
Pocahontas? Everything is the same except the Powhatans are all Elves. Ratcliffe is the White Bitchless.
Hunchback of Notre Dame? The plot is the same, but Esmeralda is a Dark Elf, and Quasimodo is half-Dark Elf. Frollo is replaced by Adin just so he can fall off the roof a second time.
Aladdin? Jasmine is also a thief. She looted what should've been her dowry from the Sultan, her annoying suitors' wealth, Genie's lamp, Carpet from the Cave of Wonders, Aladdin's heart, and Jafar aka the White Hobo Looking's dignity and respect, not in that order, then whisked Aladdin off of his bare feet and away to her own personal kingdom. Basically, Cale reimagined her as Fem!Hong Gildong.
The Little Mermaid? Romeo and Juliet with a happy ending where Prince Eric is a Whale Prince and Ariel is still a Mermaid, and both their families got scammed into finally burying the hatchet by Ursula.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Snow White is a Dwarf too, and the plot is basically an otome where she has seven suitors from different tribes, and the Evil Queen (*couch*Elisneh*cough*) is, of course, the jealous villainess.
Brave: Everything's the same except Sayeru gets abused more than Mor'du in this book.
Frozen: Everything's the same except Prince Hans is swapped out for Sir Bernard cuz Hans the goodest butler doesn't deserve to be associated with scum.
Tangled: Everything's the same except it's Adin who takes a swan dive off of the tower.
Mulan: Everything's the same except the Huns are replaced by Arm.
#trash of the count's family#lout of the count’s family#lcf#tcf#random thoughts#shower thoughts#headcanons#cale being a dad#cale basically plagiarizing Disney movies by essentially writing fanfiction#Disney princess whom? only Henituse princesses#all princesses are queens#badass women#all the villains may or may not be based on members of Arm#still going strong on disrespecting He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Properly-Named in all my TCF related posts

Yuu and The Housewardens (SPOILERS FOR ALL THE BOOKS, BOOK 7 EXCLUDED)
A thing I really wanted to talk about was the amount of times Yuu has interacted with them during their own books
Because a few months ago I think I saw someone complain about how we only interacted with Leona a few times in his own book, and then I realized that in book 2, 5, 6 and 7, we aka Yuu barely interacted with the respective housewarden.
These obviously parallel the original movies, the amount of interactions or times we've met with each housewarden represent the times when the original villains actively participated to bring down the protagonist.
Just to clarify, twst doesn't follow the plot of the original movies 100%, there are some tweaks in plot as seen in book 1 where we met with riddle a few times more compared to alice and the queen of hearts(who have literally only met one time, but the duration was pretty long)
In book 2, the plot rlly isn't that different from the original. We met Leona and Ruggie earlier even before book 2 started just like how Scar and the hyenas were present before Simba was born. We interacted with him again when going to Savanaclaw to investigate the "accidents", and then finally the showdown between overblot!Leona and Heartshackle(counting Cater and Riddle). It's the same way in The Lion King, Simba has like 2 on screen interactions with Scar before their showdown at the end.
Book 3 was very Yuu-centric, and that's because Ursula was incredibly active in trying to take down Ariel, much more effort compared to the previous two. Ariel had to take things into her own hands, very much like Yuu when their friends got roped into doing basically free labour for Azul. I don't think anymore needs to be added here.
Now onto book 4, also incredibly Yuu-centric! The Sea Witch and the Sorcerer of Sands are not that different in terms of taking care of their adversaries, after all. Aladdin was actively trying to mess with Jafar from day 1, and Jamil decided to avenge his ancestor by sending us off to the edge of the world/j (i dont believe in the great 7 being the overblot boys' ancestors🙏)
Book 5!! Time to talk about my Vil💜 Despite having to live under the same dust-laden roof of Ramshackle dorm, we barely talked with the gorgeous housewarden, obviously referencing how Snow White and the Evil Queen probably barely(or never) talked to each other despite living in the same castle. Though Evil Queen is more active in taking down Snow White after she finds out she's alive, I wish they'd(the writers) included more scenes where we talk and chat with Vil, even if it's just him insulting us💀(no im not saying this as a vil simp whatareyoutalkingabout/hj)
Woohoo we're on book 6🗣️ Hades was so sure that Hercules was dead and never bothered to double check lfmao, unlike Scar who would've been wasting resources and time, couldn't Hades, just like, teleport😭😭😭???
Okay getting off track here, my point is Hercules and Hades are probably the only hero and villain on this list where they'd met multiple times(ignoring jafar since aladdin didn't rlly know he was evil) Yuu definitely had their time to shine in book 6 and all the other characters had been amazing in this book. We had more Idia screentime around the start and the end, but with adequate screentime midway too. Say what you want but book 6 was my favourite.
Book 7 is still ongoing, as it has since I've joined the fandom😭🙏 But did Aurora even interact with Maleficent??? Someone PLEASE let me know, as book 7 is yet to finish, I won't be making assumptions

Trans Allegories in Lobotomy Corporation
Part 0.5 in a series that i'm making going over the archetypes, themes, and interpretable meanings of all the abnormalities in this game, before the next, and then finally in Limbus.

Cut is for further explainations
First Tier: Trans Allegory 100%
It is important to note that there is no strict defining line on what a trans allegory is, which I also have a project working on to describe my theory, but in the Scaffold one could theoretically understand the structure that I have.
Snow Queen:
The power of love overcoming that of cold, stagnating, uncaring evil in order to help one re-find themselves. The snow queen herself does not represent that of the allegory, it is rather Kai (Kay) and Gerda's story from the original tale that can represent this, however interlinked all the same to the queen.
King Of Greed:
Part 1, the work line:
"When The King of Greed assumes the form of an egg, you can faintly see a smiling girl inside it."
alongside the fact that her title is "king", a traditionally masculine rank.
Part 2, the actual thematic:
The concept of "greed" in this abnormality is not truly one that is borne of what one would traditionally think, rather than the desire to take for the sake of taking, it is the concept that the root of happiness is desire, and at the root of all desires is an insatiable greed within.
While desires many will go unfulfilled, they will always be the root of ones happiness, and will always remain in ones subconscious.
Snow Whites Apple:
Snow whites apple is one of being discarded and abandoned, hoping to rot (similar to another teleporting, hallway damaging, plant based Waw in this same tier), who, after time passed, realised that the life she had seen come to fruition for Snow White was not the life that would come forth for her, so she leaves to go on her own journey, to find herself.
The apple, realising that the life they had once thought was not for them, sprouted forth, grew, and became a princess in search of a story.
Nothing There:
Egg.
Beauty and the Beast:
Change, death, a life trapped in a body that is not *you*, an endless cycle that all parties wish to part from.
Today's Shy Look:
someone in a discord server noted that this abnormality is a parallel to neurodivergence, especially ASD. Unfortunately i beat them to that analysis a few months ago.
The themes of identity, denial, and divergence all carry over to themes of trans nature, however that is not to say that Shy Look is intended to be one, it is almost certainly intended to be that of ASD.
That being said, kill the author with your own bare hands, the autonomous psyche that exists in humanities collective contains these archetypes of identity and denial, and integrally they are linked to these conscious perceptions we have of them — Inseparably these ideals are linked to conscious perceptions, though borne from the unconscious mind, and forth from this there is no way to remove change from identity, to remove denial from the 'self', to differentiate one's societal differences and strife to that of another. We are all human, we all share in this human collective, these unconscious symbols are not defined by a singular perspective, interpret things as you wish. If you disagree with my analyses, by all means, slay me by your own hands; forthcoming the 'Death of the Author' is the 'Birth of the Reader'.
Alriune:
Doll wished to be human, abandoned to the wayside, finding their own goals shattered.
Though Alriune may be interpereted very strongly as a trans allegory, which i also have a different (netzach) project related to, that is once again to the visceral humanity of these abnormalities, which i plan to touch on at a later date if a certain mutual doesn't beat me to it.
Funeral of Dead Butterflies:
Whom also has their own post on this topic. which is another 'death of the author' tangent for you to read on i guess.
The Funeral of Dead Butterflies' thematic is that of death, and hence that of rebirth, of life.
This concept is best demonstrated through a quote from Demian:
“The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God's name is Abraxas.”
Herman Hesse, Demain
However, i also have a topic essay separated from PM somewhat regarding the nature of death as an allegory, alongside an additional essay named "Transing Death".
Notes of a Crazed Researcher:
"The final chapter ends with the phrase: “Born again.” "
Notes of a Crazed Researcher, observation level 4.
We Can Change Anything:
Don’t like how you look? Are you too fat? Too skinny? We can change that!
We Can Change Anything, Observation level 3.
Being somewhat more serious, with both the notes and this tool, though not integrally linked to that of these allegories, they are both understandably interpretable as this with reasonable argument to support them.
Tier 2: Plausible to Write as a Trans Allegory:
Burrowing Heaven:
This abnormality will come back later. Keep an eye on this one for a moment until then, hold on.
So Burrowing Heaven's gimmick is that of attention, wings, and eyesight.
It's descendant from the trope of 'gazing upon a god' often present in fictional or extant religions such as in the Lovecraft mythos (which is noted in particular due to the abnormality being described i later depictions as "wings of an elder god").
That being said, this abnormality's concept of "existing within ones perception" is interpretable as that of identity, alongside the line of "I could only bear fruit in your sight", akin to the concept of only flourishing when viewed as what or who you are.
Scorched Girl:
Abandonment, sights of a better future, disregard by society.
This abnormality only gets this lower tier due to its source material's differentiation, rather than seeking a better life for strictly herself, she sees in the fires a world of warmth, of joy. Though hope is a powerful emotion, and one that is linked to desires at a primal root neighbouring the king of greed, it is wrote here in a way that is less linked to that integral theme of identity I seek.
The following three exist in the same vein:
Queen of Hatred, Little Red Riding Hooded Mercenary, and Big and Might be Bad Wolf:
All three of these abnormalities share the same virtual story framework, one of managing your identity within a predestined story.
Queen of Hatred defines her existence upon the extant force of evil, though in opposition to it, hence her dual thematic of both love for good, and hatred for evil. Little Red, similarly, is not a being without her antithesis, without the wolf she cannot exist as an individual, without her hatred for the one which haunted her for so long.
The Might be Bad Wolf exists in a barely different stream, though still that of a predestined story, it is rather that of societal fatalism, wherein its nature as a wolf determined its future, the wolf is always the villain of the story, the wolf is meant to hunt.
The wolf is also the most trans-coded out of any of these abnormalities, its nature of being hated due to its nature alone, its lack of decision in the matter, its fate, it "will be" the Big and Bad Wolf.
The former two however share this in many ways, due to the aforementioned predetermined nature of their tale, however in both a meta, and mirrored parallel.
The Hood and Queen both define themselves on another's basis, being unable to exist without the other, leaving themselves as incomplete — In queen's hysteria we can see the repercussions of this unfold, her strands of being still loose she unweaves into a beast, into a creature that she does not *want* to be.
The Hood exists in a slightly different manner once again, as she has found herself in the wolf's hunt, though less so in this unweaved state that the Queen has.
Warm hearted Woodsman:
Desires and is denied a heart due to its nature from birth, from its creation.
Do you know what letters heart has? thats right. HRT. I rest my case.
Der Freischutz:
Loss and searching for identity, sacrifice of ones old life in order to create a new one on their own accords.
Red Shoes:
This abnormality is the literal incarnation of desire, so much so that it's EGO is the only one to actually include the word "desire".
The Firebird:
The Russian avian version of Moby Dick essentially, a bird which wishes to be perceived, wishes to be hunted like it once was, in order to regain its glowing feathers.
This bird exists in the same concept of Burrowing Heaven (you can stop keeping an eye on it now), wanted to exist in ones perception, as beautiful as it truly can be.
Plague Doctor/Whitenight:
Both Plague Doctor and Whitenight share both of their placements due to its fucktonne of different plausible interpretations, this one was extant on its own, but furthered by someone named "chaos" in a twitch chat when i first made this list.
This concept is mostly that of change, of becoming your true self, and finding those that know about and accept this self before the advent comes.
This transformation is integrally linked to Whitenight, alongside Plague Doctor, however they will get their time in the spotlight soon enough.
Mirror of Adjustment:
Changing one's self though appearing the same in the mirror, see Limbus Company canto 4 for more details.
Meat Lantern:
Appearance verses reality.
Knight of Despair:
Yet another struggle to find one's identity in a cruel world, a tale as old as time, where the knight's experiences, her cycles of despair, lead to her view of herself, her sough purpose in life, to be naught.
This purpose is then renewed through the protection and guidance of others, similar to mine, like how i attempt to guide others (in both understanding themselves, alongside subconscious themes, and media literacy), the knight attempts to guide others, and protect them from the harm that she could not protect others.
Yin/Yang:
The innate feminine and masculine traits that each holds, alongside their obvious dichotomy and wholeness in unity can be understood as one coming to understand or accept their true identity.
The reason that this is not in a higher tier is because of some psyche stuff that i don't want to get into here but i think i may have wrote about in the past.
[Censored]:
This abnormality is by design an enigma, which is its entire purpose, the concept of a hidden form, of redacted information, of a 'true form'.
Now as the river of humanity I may be a bit biased but i think that this abnormality is the peak form that one could take in a transition i think.
Tier 3: Transphobic:
Forsaken Murderer:
Medical experiments forced upon someone in order to cure an unseen disease of the mind, which removes ones identity and personhood in the process.
The above paragraph is describing what is known as "conversion therapy" which is a fucking horrendous concept that draws parallels to the forsaken murderer's story involving medical experiments forced upon someone in order to cure an unseen disease of the mind, which removes ones identity and personhood in the process.
Whitenight:
This is about people who use religion to justify their hatred of others, about people who make their anger justified through their posited god, who make their disdain, their xenophobia, into a so called 'Divine' wrath.
Plague Doctor:
[...] cure an unseen disease of the mind, which removes ones identity and personhood in the process.
(me, 3 paragraphs ago).
The plague doctor, sharing the concept of Forsaken Murderer, seeks a so called 'Disease of the mind', which culminates in the deaths of many once its mission is seemingly complete.
Bald:
[...] forced upon someone in order to remove [...] which removes ones [Hair] and [Hair] in the process.

i dont know if you've seen it, plan on seeing it or have watched/ read any reviews for it but... what do you think Vil and your Yuu's possible thoughts and reactions to the live action Snow White would be?
I will talk about here XD.
I saw a preview before the movie came out and knew it was going to be poorly received. Purely because it was a live action remake of Snow White. We had a live action remake with Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth when she was FRESH off of Twilight and people still didn't like it all that much. Snow white is not the movie to do a live action retelling with I'm afraid. (Cinderella has like 5 and they were all hits in some type of way. How is she DOING THIS?)
Yuu would show Vil the 2012 movies Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman first. Mirror Mirror had some really nice costuming and they both get ideas for productions the Film Club could work on because of it. Snow White and the Huntsman I had the small inside joke that they fastforward through the movie and only watch Charlize Theron's scenes.
Vil, watching the movie: IS THAT ME????
Yuu and Vil can also admit they kind of like the 2025 Evil Queen's outfit. It's so ridiculous that it loops back into iconic.
Both are...kind upset at the lacking of understanding on WHY Snow's happily ever after is to marry the Prince. Like he didn't know she was a princess but he still showed that he cared for her when he thought she was a maid. He kisses her as what was most likely a form of goodbye to the nice girl he only met once only to have her wake up from what everyone thought was DEATH. ANDZ SNOW WHITE GETS THE PRIZE OF MARRYING FOREIGN ROYALTY TO NEVER DEAL WITH BEING TERRIFIED AGAIN.
The prince is Snow's prize for her kindness and gentle heart, she can REST NOW. Yuu will bring up her own issues with the boss-girlifying the movie industry is doing with princesses who's entire stories have them show casing their kindness and patience and taking it purely as them being passive damsels. I will however keep my issues with the live action Cinderella Disney did. Like, girl, show SOME AGENCY? The animated version was yelling and throwing a fit when she got locked in the attic, stop dancing.
All in all, if Yuu shares the movies before the events of Tapis Rouge, Vil is suddenly VERY CONCERNED when he hears about a live action remake for the Fairest Queen movie.
If it's after, he just claims Yuu's world's version is clearly cursed. Tells Yuu to shut up when she points out its two very different stories.

isn't it interesting how the poisoned apple in snow white can be seen as a reference to the forbidden fruit from the garden of eden and snow white in dragon games is turned into a snake by the evil queen...
the serpent in the garden of eden is the one to first tempt eve and set off the entire situation of humanity's first sin... similarly snow white's phone call at the beginning of dragon games pushes apple further into being manipulated by authority figures and doing so many messed up things and setting up the events of the special
and to pull in the allegory further... apple is first enthralled by an apple. she first sees an apple and follows it to the evil queen's mirror, and under the evil queen's manipulation it is that apple that she uses to break the mirror and free the evil queen...
so not only is her pursuit of the poisoned apple as a whole/her entire destiny causing her big "sins", but her physically taking an apple is what allows her to commit her first major "sin"— freeing the evil queen from the mirror prison
i also think its interesting how both the evil queen and snow white can fit that serpent role— its interesting in terms of the biblical allegories too since the devil can come in multiple forms. similarly, the evil queen and snow white manipulate apple in different ways, but ultimately their motives are both the same when you boil it down: make raven evil. both are also wrong and lead to apple's downfall
