How bad is it on a scale from "I ripped my wedding suit fighting crime 10 minutes before the ceremony" to "Universal Extinction is Going to happen Right Now if not stopped"?

Before things go bad, who's invited? They probably want to keep things small at first, but then Kon hears about it, and blabs to Young Justice, and then the Flashes hear about it from Bart and before long half the Justice League, the members of a dozen vaguely correlated teams, and a third of the League of Assassins have all RSVPed (they were not invited). Do they lean into their hero theme colors or desperately try to find a color that isn't in some way associated with their other lives? Who are the best men (or women)? Who are the groomsmen (or women)? Diana is canonically ordained in as many places as she can be, does she perform the ceremony, or do they get someone else to? Do they try and rope a civilian into this part for a single element of normality?

Who has a meltdown that would be Bridezilla/Groomzilla/In-law-zilla esque if they were literally Anyone Else in literally Any Other Scenario? (Plot twist, it's not Jon or Damian or Bruce or any of the other melodramatic bastards in this family, it's Steph, because "goddamn it it's my little brother's wedding he's come SO FAR to be able to do this I am NOT letting it be ruined by NUCLEAR METEORS/NINJA ASSASSINS/ARKHAM BREAKOUTS/WHATEVER ELSE!" Does the whole thing end in a Pirates of the Caribbean-escue "Marry us!" mid-battle? I just found out that there are people out there who believe Jason Todd beats Cassandra Cain in a fight... What??? I am aware that there was a comic where he got good hits in but it was very obvious and even outright said that Cass wasn't even trying to win, let alone hurt him, by Dick. Also, if they're thinking about that one time Jason fought Bruce, Dick and Cass all at once and won, you have got to be aware of how ridiculous that was. Like, Jason, as much as I love him, is the worst fighter out of them. Still a damn good one, but compared to them, just no.

Like, Dick, the weakest fighter out of that trio has more than fifteen years of experience of vigilantism. AT LEAST, the timeline's weird so I don't know exactly how much. He's trained with Batman for around a decade, was such a good fighter that he caught Deathstroke's eye and has trained with him for a bit and many more dangerous people.

Bruce, depending on how old he is and when exactly he started training idk but I assume it was late teens or early adulthood, has AT THE VERY LEAST twenty years of training and experience, most probably more. Has trained with people all over the world, INCLUDING the League and has beat Jason without THAT much difficulty before. Post mortem Jason I mean.

Cass, if we count her as around eighteen, has fucking eighteen years of training, with David Cain and many other people he brought in for her to fight against, grown trained killers. Her training was the most brutal out of all three of them. Cain has literally shot her out of nowhere and then forced her to fight him right after to, and I quote, "keep her on her toes". It's been said by Batman, Deathstroke and probably other people that she could beat Batman in a fight. And people like to say that Bruce only said that cause he's self deprecating and that's honestly so insulting to him. He's hard on himself and has shit self worth over things like his parenting, failing to save people etc, but he is an intelligent man who knows his strength and his weaknesses very well and over OR under estimating himself would've gotten him killed years ago. CASSANDRA CAIN'S ABILITY TO READ PEOPLE'S BODY LANGUAGE IS SO INSANE THAT SHE'S BEEN ASSUMED TO BE META HUMAN BECAUSE HER SPEED WAS SO FUCKING INSANE IT WAS DEEMED IMPOSSIBLE FOR HER TO BE HUMAN. This one guy said and I quote, "Her individual moves are borderline human. It is her aggregate speed that's metahuman. Humans can throw a 100 miles per-hour fastball, smash concrete with their heads, and run 4.2 forties. What they can't do is all of that at once. It's not so much physical as... as mentally impossible. Too much to coordinate." Her ability, trained into her not just gained, is so fucking op these people have no idea how it's humanly possible. The only advantage my boy Jason's got are his guns and the fact Cass can't physically stomach killing people. Cass without that hatred of killing dog walks Jason, even without it actually. In the Batgirl volume 1, after she loses her ability to read body language (she gets it back later ofc) she gets hit and is then in shock because no one has managed to land a single fucking hit on her since she was six. She proceeds to beat the shit out of people easily and thinks to herself "I'm fighting like a child. Pathetic", as she barely holds herself back from accidentally crushing skulls.

Cass has been very much nerfed in the newer comics for plot's sake or because the writer doesn't know her character well, or most probably because they want to put a certain character on a pedestal. They've done it all the time and you can't honestly call yourself a fan if you actually think Jason, even with the pit rage and the guns and hatred that makes him willing to kill, would be capable of even beating Nightwing unless he's having a really bad day, let alone all three of them.

Point of this all is: Cass rocks and DC sucks ass at being consistent and actually paying attention to the characters they write. They actually made Cass a villain in one. She found out she had a sister, murdered her and a bunch of other people for no reason, found out Deathstroke had brainwashed her or something and then killed him. Which btw, she killed Deathstroke. Bro's a hell of a challenge for the Bat and she killed him. Still think Jason, or Dick or Bruce could beat her? An argument could be made for Bruce but even then they're AT LEAST on equal footing, though I think Cass would still win. Would be a hell of a fight and Cass would get some nasty ass possibly fatal injuries but she'd still beat him in my humble and accurate opinion.

Okay I'm done now. Longest rant yet. Had a lot of feelings about this particular topic, sorry.

EDIT: I realized that I kinda underplayed Nightwing's skills here. For a while now, he's been considered Batman's equal. He has beaten Bruce in fights, honest all out fights, more than once and has been Batman himself as well. He's kicked Deathstroke's ass too. Him in his mid to late twenties? A literal fucking beast of a dude. Him Cassandra and Bruce are the best fighters in the batfamily, fight me on it.

A few days ago, a Tumblr user and I were sharing My Hero Academia Villain OC ideas. I was so inspired by the discussion that I decided to draw out my “villainous” character!

Meet Amai Ame (which literally translates to “sweet candy”)! She’s known in certain circles (and by the heroes and police) as Candy Queen.

(More below the cut.)

Her Quirk is “Sugar World” (I would have called it “Candy Land”, but I’m pretty sure that’s copyrighted). How it works is that she can replicate any sugar structure in her system and cause it to sprout in abundance up to 100 meters around her. She can make the sugary item small enough to be handheld, or large enough to dwarf a building (though she can’t recreate the sticks or wrapping that the candy comes in, so clean hands beware). She’s known for turning entire city blocks into sugary wonderlands.

Her Quirk’s not really an offensive Quirk, so she likes to avoid physical confrontations if at all possible. The most she can do is create a wall of candy that she can take advantage of in order to make a quick getaway.

Her only limit is that she can’t sprout candy from organic surfaces, which means that she’s at a disadvantage in a park or forest. She also can’t make the candy sentient, or able to do her bidding. If she went through a Quirk Awakening, she might be able to, but due to her carefree nature, such an event is highly unlikely. The only physical drawback to her Quirk is that overuse leads to an upset stomach - doesn’t deter her one bit, though!

Though a mental drawback is that, thanks to her sheltered upbringing, she gets easily flustered when she sees exposed skin. Which means if she’s going up against Creati or Red Riot, she’s probably going to lose!

Due to the nature of her Quirk, she is always seen carrying a large wicker basket full of candy so that she always has something sugary in her system.

Amai was raised in a candy factory, meaning she quite literally had a sweet childhood. She grew up believing that every problem could be solved with a sweet treat. As she grew up and entered the real world, though, she realized that the world had many many problems. She took it upon herself to fix those problems by spreading the joy that candy brings, whether the public wants it or not. She views her sugary rampages as her gift to the “struggling masses”.

She’s either a Hero or a Villain, depending on who you ask. Children ages 3-9 think she’s a goddess of sugar. Those ages 10-19 tend to think she’s an annoying, overly cheerful weirdo who eats too much candy. Those in the workforce view her and her rampages as a nuisance and a hindrance to their jobs. Though the elderly population sees her as a sweet girl who brings them sweets every now and then.

The League of Villains hasn’t approached her yet and has no plans to. They think she’s not the right kind of mind they want in their cause.

Gotta say, it was really fun designing one of my own OCs for a change! I’ve been in an artistic slump for a while now, so the freedom really helped. I think I might design some more - I’ve got a bunch already sketched out! What do you think?

Im taking this as a chance to finally ramble abt her anyways so Janet's core inspo when designing her was to avoid 2 key things. Don't make her like Immortal & Th Restless's Clara (due to clara representing michael, not mrs afton, so i wanted to avoid that), and don't base her too heavily off of Ballora. I still have ties to Ballora's character (a music-based theme, blue-centric colour palette, im sure there were more basic ideas but everything else is more hc than themes to keep up) due to my hc thingy of each Funtime having ties to William's wife + kids, but yknow.

Hi! So I’m fairly new to the Kaylor space but just wanted to point out that people here are some of the nicest and most welcoming fans here so thank you for that!

On my other note, I think the one thing that has been most frustrating about this PR stunt (yes, I’m calling 100% calling it like it is) is that Taylor’s accolades and accomplishments are being put on the back burner. She is still selling out stadiums all over the world but I hardly hear about it anymore. Like this woman literally made history last week at the Grammys and if I googled her name right now, all that comes up is this stupid relationship with tr*vis. I literally saw on twitter today, swifties breaking down if she could make it to KC for the parade celebration tomorrow before she flies to Australia…LIKE WHAT.

okay now that that nightmare is over (ticketmaster) i finished the main story of the teal mask DLC! this was my team by the end :]

anyways my more in depth thoughts... i already talked about this some in my prior post but i love kitakami! i love the geography and the culture and i feel like this small "region" got to be more fleshed out because of the smaller scope which is great. overall i have mostly positive things to say! i did not like carmine at first but i ended up warming up to her a lot by the end and enjoying her as a character, i loved the presentation of kitakami's history and traditions, and i haven't played much of it but the ogre oustin minigame was fun on the first go at least LOL

that being said i have a lot more complicated feelings about kieran specifically

i thought that maybe when we apologized to each other earlier on all would be well but then he just... kept getting the short end of the stick. i mean i'm glad that the game let me verbally apologize to him but i think it's fucked up that after all of that, no comfort was offered to this child and his feelings kept getting shrugged off. i felt bad defeating him at the end, i mean yeah i'm not gonna tell ogerpon no to staying with me if she likes me and wants to go with me, but the fact that we weren't able to have a conversation with kieran about it?? yeah he runs back home and tries to be alone but i feel like at that point it would be meaningful to try and go talk to him and make amends. tell him he's a good trainer and just has to keep working. idk

maybe i'm just too empathetic to younger characters but it just really sucked and i was kinda miffed with like. them implying that kieran might be a villain in the next DLC or something, like dude i'd be pretty pissed too if my sister and only friend were treating me like garbage (at some point their grandfather chastises carmen and she literally says "it's not like i hit him" like dude THAT'S your bar for mistreatment?) and lying to me and then even after all of that i still couldn't achieve something i've been dreaming about since childhood. like dude must be fucking shattered. why do we have to portray him as "evil" idk, i just really hope in the next DLC there is a proper resolution to all of this because i feel terrible for him and he deserves better. is he perfect? no. does he deserve some level of consequence for some of his actions? yeah. but man throw the kid a bone good lord

I like how Guel's grown since... well, the fucking trauma, but... I am not 100% on Kenanji. Can't get a solid bead on him, and I am not 100% sold. He's a good soldier, does his job, but... we'll see. And god, Miorine... so fucking close and then MOTHERUCKING PROSPERA has to go and fuck it all up for her self-righteous revenge plan!!!

Martin finally coming clean to his house was needed, and I am glad Suletta was dragged out of her depression burrito (which is allowed, she got hit with several emotional suckerpunches in a matter of a couple of days; that shit needs time to process). And of course it was Chuchu who caught her sneaking some food, and drug her ass to breakfast. xD Got I love that spicy little cotton candy-haired spitfire xD. Tiny, but fierce!

So Prospera fucks up any chance of Miorine becoming president (honestly, pretty sure she didn't give a rat's ass, she just wanted a free ride down to Quinharbor, and used Mio's feelings for Suletta to get it). Feng sacrificed herself to save Winston from Prospera's hitman (I sincerely want him to get Gundam-squished, I really do), and Suletta is getting a better handle on what is going on.

I think this show will probably not go past 30 eps at most. I just hope they don't rush things, but it's been good so far. Just... Suletta on her upswing, but now Miorine's gotten the suckerpunch (this one figurative AND literal).

It's an absolute honor to have you here," She laughed, "There are a handful of points on this podcast where I feel like I'm actually doing something good, and literally the minute we had decided on a day to sit down, it feels like I've made it. I'm so excited to have you here! For those of you that do not know the absolute stunning human being sitting across from me, this is Y/N L/N, who has been taking the country music world by storm over the last couple of months. Today, we'll be talking about their new album, life in the spotlight, living like a rockstar, I'm sure, and some famous members of their entourage."

"This is a dream, Alex, thank you so much for having me. I have watched every episode of this podcast the day they have come out, I'm such a huge fan of your work and what you do, it's an absolute honor and a pleasure to be here. I cannot wait to talk so much shit with you."

Alex lets out a hearty chuckle across from you, "I feel like we have so much to talk about, first off, the new album," you nodded, "tell us about it."

"This album is my actual child, it's the first real album of my career and I feel like I worked so hard on it and I had so much help along the way and have met so many incredible people in the mean time. The album is called '365' and kinda commemorates what a year in my life used to look like. Obviously, it looks a little different now, but I wanted to keep the general basis of this album very raw and real. It draws a lot of inspiration from my childhood and has a little bit of a country twang that was largely popular around the 90s and 2000s of country music. I was very lucky to have some big names and some of my favorite people working on this album. Michael Hardy and both members of Brooks and Dunn helped me with this album and I got a lot of really good advice from people like Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis, Morgan Wallen, and Cody Johnson. I spent half of the album just learning and observing from people that I really look up to and I really appreciate their work and what they're coming out with. So, I'm really proud with how this album turned out, I definately think y'all should listen to it if you can," you turned to make eye contact with the nearest camera for the last sentence of your spiel.

Alex smiled, "So you're two CMA awards and a Grammy down, what's new, where do you go from here?"

"Oh god, tour hopefully. There's some stuff in the plans to hopefully do something before I'm due back in Michigan this summer." There was a grin on your face, knowing Alex Cooper had been dying to bring it up. Alex gasped, moving in her seat to sit with her legs crossed underneath her.

"I'm actually so glad you brought this up. I know we were talking about it and you said how you were kinda sick of talking about the album."

You let out a loud laugh, "Oh 100%. As much as I love this album and as proud of it I am, I do nothing but talk about it all week, and I've been doing that for a few months now, even before the record came out. I love it to death, but I'm actually kind of excited to talk about anything but."

"Speaking of Michigan, I really wanna talk about that."

"Oh please do."

"So you're obviously a big hockey fan," you nodded along, "and you've become very known in the hockey world as a fan. You've somehow fit yourself into the social circle of some very popular people."

"Yeah, I frequent hockey games quite often, and I've become of a next-gen-Justin-Bieber of sorts. I'm known kind of in whispers around the league, from what I'm being told, as a person to always look out for at games because I'm always at one. I love the game and I love the atmosphere."

"So we're all very aware that you're quite familiar with the so-called Hockey Royalty. Can we get into the nitty-griddy this early?"

"Absolutely! Yeah, as you said, and if the people watching don't know, I'm really close friends with the Hughes family and it actually started because they're fans of me."

"Oh no way! I didn't know that!"

"Yeah, so Jack is a massive country music fan, and I was doing a gig in Detriot, Michigan last summer during a little tour thing I was doing for a pre-album promotional thing. I didn't realize it until the last 4 or 5 songs that they were sitting front row with a good mob of their friends and family. It was really nice having them there, even if I didn't realize it until the end. So they were posting about being at the concert on their stories after they left, and they were all tagging me and stuff, so I saw, like, 8 or 9 guys that were at the game and I knew all of their names because I watch them play all the time. So I slide up on Jack's story, I think, his or Quinn's, saying like 'hey I'm so sorry, If I had any idea you guys were coming I would have invited you backstage after the show and we could have hung out!' I felt so bad that I didn't know they were there. And he responded and told me that they were at the lake house for the whole summer and if I wanted to come up for a week or so I was more than welcome to. They had room for me, it wasn't like I was going to be sharing a room with one of the boys or anything, and luckily it was the last stop on tour, so I had no where else to be. Jack was like, 'just bring a week's worth of clothes and something to swim in' and I told Jack, like, 'I don't have a car to drive out, like, I'm living on a tour bus, I don't have a way to get there.' So, I guess that when they had come down, they brought more than one car, so Jack offered to pick me up at the hotel and drive me back up to the lake house with them to spend the week."

"No way! and you went?"

"Hell yeah, I did. It's not every day you get invited to an event as exclusive and famous as the Hughes' Lake House! And even after I brought up how I was getting back to the airport the week later, he just went 'we will drive you back, you don't have to worry about a thing.' So I packed a bag and worked something out with my manager and I was hugging Quinn and Jack Hughes 45 minutes later."

"Who was more excited for you to go?"

"Oh, me, 1000%. I was so excited to go. I guess everyone else in the group had shipped out almost immediately after the show, so they were already there and playing video games when we walked through the door. Like, I know I'm well known, but I felt fucking famous walking through that door," Alex laughed, "I didn't even get to drop my bag before Jim, their dad, was offering to take my bags and yelling at one of the boys to show me where I'm sleeping, and how they had washed the sheets and EVERYTHING. Ellen, their mom, yelled at him like, 'the poor girl just walked through the door, at least let her take a breath!' and I told her it was fine, that this sort of stuff happens all the time, and Jack showed me to the room that they had reserved for me and let me unpack my bags and get situated and told me that they were thinking about doing some sort of midnight barbeque or something and might take the boat out that night but I didn't need to go if I just wanted to chill. I thanked him perfusely and told him I just really wanted a breather and how I needed to answer a few emails and stuff. He told me I could work at the kitchen island, too, if I didn't wanna feel left out. So I set up all of my chargers and unpacked and whatever and answered a few emails and comments and liked a few instagram stories at the kitchen island and talked with their parents and met some of the other guys. I never felt like I was more or less than them at any point the whole week. The whole group is so nice and never left me out of absolutely anything."

"And you went back, didn't you?"

"I did! I went the last 2.5 weeks of the summer, before they all shipped off to their respective corners of the continent. It wasn't my idea either, Quinn came up to me and was like, 'hey, the last couple weeks before we all head back to our cities is just gonna be the the three of us and KJ and Blanks if you wanna come back and hang, it'll be a lot less hectic.' So, I did. It was just the 6 of us for about half a month."

"They sound like so much fun," she turns towards the camera, "if it feels like I'm doing significantly less talking than normal, it's because I think Y/N has a really pretty voice and I just like listening to her talk."

"Stop it, you're so sweet-"

"No, it's true!" she turned back to you, "I love listening to you talk."

"I really appreciate it, is there any other nitty-gritty tell-all detail of the Hughes Boys and Friends? I have not slept with any of them, before you ask."

Alex laughed, "That's such a shame, I feel like that would make a good headline, 'Country Singer Y/N L/N Rates The Dick Down of The Entire NHL out of 10: Here's What You Need to Know!' Since we can't talk about the sex, may I ask you which one would make the best boyfriend? I'm assuming there's at least one that you feel like would be an exceptional boyfriend."

"Oh god, I think each of them each of qualities and personalities that would make them more than qualified," Alex raised an eyebrow at you, "would you like me to go through all of them?"

"Uh, yes please!"

You smiled, "Oh god where do I start. Luke Hughes, the baby of the group. Luke is very spontaneous, if anyone is going to wake up at 3am, say 'I wanna go wakeboarding' and do it, it would be Luke Hughes. He does stuff because he wants to and does not think about it, he's doing it for the plot and absolutely nothing else.

"Jack Hughes is very enthusiastic about almost anything. He's very energetic and will try and make the most out of any situation. If it's his turn to do laundry or wash the dishes, he's going to make the most out of it. There's music playing, he's dancing around, he's going to make even the most boring of shit fun. He does everything with the excitement of a toddler, even if he doesn't wanna do it.

"Quinn, oh Quinn. Quinn is by far one of the most patient people I've ever met in my life. He's also a phenomenal listener. He's amazing to talk to about anything because he can identify when you just want to rant about how much of a stupid bitch someone is versus when you want solutions about whatever problem you have. He will take his time to understand the situation and will listen to you and soak up all of the information you have to say. I was taking a class over the summer and he used to help me with homework and as much as I asked him to read over essays or to help me with assignments, he took the time and listened to me and was patient with me and helped me with anything I needed.

"Kent Johnson, oh god, I have to much to say about Kent Johnson. KJ is down for absolutey anything. If Luke comes out of his room at the ass-crack of dawn with the dumbest of decisions, KJ is the first to volunteer, he loves living life and he likes making memories, he'll dance in the kitchen with Jack, won't even help him, just there to dance around and sing along, he'll join in any pick up sport game someone wants to play, he'll grab a controller regardless of what's on the screen. He loves having fun and will jump at any opportunity to do so.

"Nick Blankenberg is the voice of reason in the group, team dad, if you will. He's incredibly wise and very intelligent- not like the others aren't, but Blanks has the type of intelligence that you would expect out of your older brother. He can be handed a situation from any of the other boys in the group and immedately outweigh all of the pros and cons and he has enough social awareness to outweigh all of the outcomes and say 'hey, maybe we shouldn't-' or 'what if we do this instead.' He has so much wisdom and he's so much fun to talk to.

"Um, Brendon Brisson, I think is who I'll go with next. Briss might not seem like it, but he's very philisophical. If I had to put money on who I think would be the most likely to find laying out in the grass at night staring at the stars wondering about the workings of the universe, it would be Briss. He loves learning about new people and what keeps the world spinning and society moving, he loves talking about what happens after you die and whether aliens exist or not or what it would be like to be sucked into a black hole. He's curious about everything and loves learning about people and loves listening to everything everyone has to say just because he finds it interesting.

"God, I don't know how I can follow that up, um, Bordy, maybe? Thomas Bordeleau is everyone's own personal hype man. If he thinks someone looks good, he WILL tell you. He's constantly dishing out compliments and constantly whistling at people and telling them how good they look. He always tells you when he likes your outfit or if a particular color looks good on you or if the fashion choice you made was good. He likes making other people feel confident and good about themselves. I know everytime I'm with Thomas I'm going to walk away feeling like a million dollars just because he loves making other people feel good about themselves.

"Owen Power is a gentle giant. He loves cuddling and he loves giving hugs. He's so peaceful to be around and has become such a safe presence in my life over the last few months. He always know what to say and he always knows when I'm in a bad mood.

"and last but not least, Matty Beniers. Matty is an absolute goof. If there's a room full of people belly-laughing it's because Matty is doing something stupid. He enjoys being the center of attention and he enjoys making everyone around him laugh. He likes making people happy. Matty can turn any situation into an enjoyable one, he's the life of the party and he thrives on laughter and making everyone around him laugh.

"That was a lot am I missing anyone?"

"Trevor and Cole?" Alex leaned forward a little, adjusting the pillow behind her back.

"Oh my god how could I forget them! Trevor Zegras has so much personality, he brightens every room he walks into. He's always smiling and always happy and he has the most infectious laughter. Cole Caufield is the best shit talker. Cole Caufield loves a good bit of gossip and will eat it up."

"That's beautiful. Well, Y/N I just wanna thank you again for being here, it was an absolute pleasure. Maybe we'll get to do this after every album drop."

okay, so!

I think I've had the benefit of being able to see two different sides of Jinx due to Caitlyn in her main verse but also Caitlyn in her Baroness verse. It's not that Jinx is any different, but I get to see her very vicious hateful side that absolutely resents and hates Caitlyn. But as Baroness, she gets to experience the tender (albeit obsessed/possessive), family-centric form of Jinx as well!

What I love so much about Jinx is that you don't tone her down. You let her be vicious and ruthless, you let her be a loose cannon. She's not just some crazy silly girl who just blows things up and goes 'oopsie', like, she is literally, twisted and dark, and yet she is scarily intelligent and intuitive. She's not a 'dumb blond' (not that she's blond but that saying), she is this extremely brilliant psychopath.

And another thing (okay, I'm going to do more than one thing) your Jinx and Caitlyn are so interconnected. Literally, she is Caitlyn's Moriarty. Without Jinx, so much of things would have not had a snowball effect, they have been influencing each other since the beginning, and I LOVE that we have this antagonistic relationship between the two with no need to make them become friends or 'forgive' or anything. So much of what has happened to Caitlyn is highly influenced by your Jinx's action; not just Jinx in general but your portrayal. Whenever I do replies, your Jinx is the one I often refer to. I love that we can have them have this feud with each other and not worry about having to tone it down. Jinx is vicious, dangerous, and so very zaunite in every way.

I don't think there is a thing I would change about Jinx, because she's absolutely perfect they way you write her. From the drabble I wrote pre-tea party, the discussions of scars and markings, to Caitlyn's hypervigilance and so much more; it's all due to Jinx and your inspiration behind her.

She is perfect, and you write her brilliantly. Even Baroness I don't think would have lasted long if not for Jinx's influence and their connection and how that has developed. Your Jinx and your portrayal are so interconnected to Caitlyn and I absolutely love how much it's been an inspiration to develop our muses with each other; even if they see red when they look at each other.

Positivity for Jinx||Accepting.

Oh, no, I think you are right 100%. Your Caitlyn has the unique advantage of knowing Jinx in one verse as probably the worst enemy, she can possibly have, this vicious, sadistic, predatory psychopath, and on the other side, in the Baroness verse, she meets that same monster, if it is on your side. And you are correct: Jinx may be family-orientated like Vi and can even be tender, but she always is possessive and obsessive too.

I am so happy you enjoy how dark and twisted Jinx is. And yeah, I worked very hard to make her be this loose canon as she is in Arcane and League, while also keeping her as this dangerous, vicious thing, which is far smarter than she often lets on. I may not work as much with her explosives as others, but I still think I keep her essence alive. Even if she mostly tries to shoot you to pieces. It means a lot to me that you enjoy that I never tune Jinx down.

I too absolutely adore this feud they have with one another. Your Caitlyn too is the one, Jinx thinks of when she regards which Caitlyn she hates. I said it before and I will say it again: I rarely get the chance to really write two opposing characters, so I am really happy that I get the chance to do that with you here. I love that we are both on the same page that neither forgives the other one and I love how we discussed what Jinx did. I love how it is horrific without feeling like overkill. It feels balanced and appropriate while being nuanced, dangerous and wild. It is a joy to write out and get in the headspace for.

I am so, so happy that my Jinx helped Baroness' development. I adore her. And you are right: So much of how I restructured Jinx came about from what we discussed. From how her hallucinations work, to the fucked up reasons she is fully behind Silco's Cause even after his death to more mundane and sweet shit. Out of curiosity, and I apologise for any inconvenience, but what is it about Pyke that makes you so endeared with him?

okay at the point im writing this its 16:45 pm, im european and im going on and off writing between games, drawing etc. this is probably and im not joking the longest, hugest post i have ever written not only on tumblr but in any social media in general. I had to take notes to reorganize my thoughts cause trust me, there's a lot of things to unpack.

Short answer: cringely grabs the microphone while blushing ...i ...i like him...

Long ass fucking answer omw to make the longest tumblr post in history: My relationship with Pyke as a character its, somewhat, funny. Pyke was released after Zoe, and Kai'sa, and Neeko was released after him. In 2018 there was this ''drama'' around League Of Legends fandom where people was tired of, what they call, 'Disney style characters' like Zoe. Kai'Sa release didnt help the ''drama'' as how the character was designed and put together. I didnt mind much about the 'Disney style' drama cause, everything that has sparkles and glitter on i love it. Then this motherfucker came into picture. His new champion teaser popped on League Of Legends youtube channel and in the game client, and of course, i had to peek my eye.

Im saying this now, and I am being completely honest:

I hated his guts, i despised him.

I didnt like him, at all. Not that i was 100% only sparkle champions, but i hated him. I didnt understand him, i didnt get the design, and i again thought that Riot was pulling again on male champions being shirtless and just talking about war and fist fighting while being edgy. I vividly remember one of my friends asking my thoughts on him after the trailer was out, and i told him that i didnt like Pyke at all, i actually did hate him. But...

I literally changed my opinion in just days

I dont know what part of my brain activated or deactivated, but i blankly stared at this guys trailer and the leaked splashart and... i changed my mind. He went from a champion i was not interested on at all to stiking my chords like no other champion has ever done. I started liking him without a reason at first, unable to pinpoint why i suddendly changed my mind. I waited for his official release, and oddly enough, i started playing him. Im not used to play male characters cause its not my comfort zone but... Pyke felt... different somewhat? Im not even used to play engage/hook characters but i felt like playing him.

When his release was out in 2018, i was already on my first year of Art school, and i vividly remember being on the computer schoolroom for homework with my class and I started reading his lore in the computer screen trying not to get catched. I snucked out of classes to go to the bathroom and read his lore and short story, see fanart and the tldrs of his designs... I was literally behaving like a little girl when she sees a cute guy, and, techically speaking, its what was kinda happening. I had the shortest 'enemies to lovers' arc in history cause i hated him for, maybe, less than a week.

Lets talk about lore!! Yipiee!!

Focusing on League's original lore, we can see a glimpse of who Pyke was before becoming an undead. My views on his character are a mix of my personal thoughts of him and the canon lore. Seeing this little glimpse of the man he was before that he never wants to talk about again is, interesting. It makes my mind wonder. Did he believe that he was being underpaid and exploited as a butcher? Did he think that captains and rich/powerful people abuse their power? Did he ever raise his voice? Was he prideful, and its why he doesnt want to talk about his past self? Or was he just too naive to know and its ashamed of it? Pyke is the type of person who is not talkative, but that is very reflexive. As the other side of the coin, Illaoi is also very reflexive but clearly expresses her thoughts without filter. The fact that he was also a buhru makes my head spin. It makes me wonder, why didnt he stay with them? Why didnt he look for a job within the buhru, instead looking for it on the city? What was the relationship with her buhru mom? What happened to his dad? Was he around, present at all? How many time has passed? What is Pyke's actual age?

Pyke's tragedy is, to a very lower extend, relatable. Its easy to identify with him. Everyone's got their lifeline cut sometime. But what is truly interesting for me and always has me craving to hug this man is the extent of his trauma.

In 'And then, teeth', Pyke has flashbacks of his death after killing Mazier and staring at her body. He can remember how dark it was, how slimy it felt, how he couldnt see well because of the sweat covering his eyes. How he tried, with all his forces, to escape to no avail. Pyke also seems, somewhat, lucid at times. Allow me to explain. Pyke is still him, that is clear. Yes, he hears voices, and they are always there, but he is still his own person. He is able to remember things from the past, he's able to act by his own, to think by his own, but the voices are always there. When i say 'lucid', i mean when he's either killing, or interacting with the list. In this short story, Pyke stares at the list, after killing Mazier, unable to believe that he actually did kill his whole crew, but suddendly comes to a normal, realization, 'Where did i get the ink?'.

Before killing Bekke, he says that he was there, watching him die, smiling. Makes you wonder if he's actually talking with rage and bloodthirst, or, if he's actually talking seriously. What if, he was talking seriously, but not being literal? We know Bekke wasnt there, he is not even from Bilgewater. But what if Pyke actually meant that, every single captain, every single person with power, constantly watch him die? constantly watching the people working for them dying, only for the powerful ones to become richer? Is he actually completely doomed at this point, is it a mix of both the voices and his own thoughts? Or is he just... him?

People that isnt much interested in his lore often thinks hes a mindless killer. Not that in mad, i think its stupid being mad about it. But to say that it's a false state, its valid. Pyke would never, ever lay a finger on someone he knows its fully innocent BEFORE killing his whole crew. 'But what if Bekke, for example, was just innocent? Maybe he was powerful but a good man?' I think thats to very own interpretation. What can i say, i hate rich people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ im good with my man killin them all, slay. To some extent hes kind of a Robin Hood but bloodier you know? In the end he steals from the rich to share the gold with others. Gold that he wished he had back when he was an underpaid butcher.

Back to Pyke's trauma again cause i got lost on my own notes, its interesting how he behaves. As someone as introverted, and after becoming an undead, you might believe that Pyke now doesnt trust ANYONE. He doesnt leave his guard down, never trusting never believing anything. But... its completely the opposite. Its clearer on his in-game interactions. 'I needed help back there' and 'I work better with a crew'... waahhhh. But you know where this becomes even more clearer?

Ruined King baby

I want to marry him. I want to marry Pyke in general but Ruined King Pyke hes a baby and i need him i want to pat his head and tell him everything is going to be fine AUGH. How he settled up with a bunch of random people, allow me to say, after one of them wooped his ass, and with a captain, clearly a target for him, and he was OKAY with it. What a king. Slay.

Illaoi removed his voices, thanks queen. And you know what we see? Pyke behaving like a more troubeled person than a violent one... It blew my mind. The fact that he sharpens and cleans his knives and harpoon because he's stressed, the fact that he talks passive aggresive with Illaoi even if he's thankful. The fact that he likes Sarah enough not to kill her, and that he trusts her. He's able to trust a captain, even after what happened to him. It broke me. It broke me seeing his relationship with Ahri, how she was sorry, how she just murmured 'thanks' and then stood quiet when Ahri said to Sarah that he was, probably, never going to be able to explain the complexity of his trauma and his feelings. Seeing him having nice conversations with Braum and Yasuo... seeing him feel, welcomed... you actually feel good for him, if you have been stuck with him in your mind like me for years you actually feel happy for him. Pyke has friends. It makes you also wonder about the end... Why did he go? Why did he never say goodbye? Its true he said that once he was done with Viego, he was out, thats his only achievement. But... in the end, we see him go with Braum, Ahri, Yasuo and Illaoi to the tavern... Did he change his mind in the way? Did he just randomly turned the opposite direction? What the hell hapenned i need to know. This game made me cry. Not with the end. This game made me cry everytime this guy opened his mouth. Because he's relatable at some extent. And knowing that at some time later, if Sentinels of Light was canon and better written... Pyke would have been betrayed. Again. By Sarah. Someone he trusted blindly again. Can you imagine? How could have that developed? Would Pyke ever be able to trust again? Would he return to his patterns or would he just promise himself not to ever trust again?

Something i really liked about Ruined king lays on the early hours of the game, when we first see Pyke when we play as Illaoi. She calls him a monster, an abomination. But Pyke refuses to fight, even if he considers it an interesting battle, he refuses, because he has no reason, confirming that Pyke's kills are always selective and he would never hurt an innocent, even if you treat him poorly. I have talked a lot about Ruined King so ill try not to over repeat myself. Lets talk about

I just think he's neat! Look at that guy!! They made a marbelous job. Referring to all his models and concepts of course. Its the creepy but cool looking bandana with the teeth that gives him that eery, but also dinstictive colour focus on his design. The bone jaws around his shoulders reminding us about his death, the ripped cape, the fish teeth and teeth knives hanging from his belt giving him this 'shark' style everyone likes to explore on him... the gloves, the nails in a lot of concepts and promotional arts, the now grey-ish tribal tattoos representing his past as a buhru... The list hanging from his side, the boots with spikes to work... Something i like of him in League is the CTRL-5 animation where you can change his harpoon to how it probably looked when he was alive to the eery, phantasmagoric and murky looking one. Its an amazing touch. I love his design and i love that they didnt go for the typical 'drowned pirate spirit'. He looks so neat. The scars, the eyes... the ropes hanging around, the baits hanging from his cape... waahhh

Moving onto a more serious, and now probably more directly answering your question. Why am i so attached to him?

Yes, i do like his lore, and i have a bunch of questions i love to fill the blanks myself with own headcanons, i do like his design a lot aswell and i loved him on Ruined King, and i love playing him on league.

But, Pyke suddendly became a recurrent thought on my mind. I wasnt on a very good moment back in 2018. I felt undesirable, in all aspects, my group of friends wasnt the best back in the day and i was often ignored when i vented about trauma. I then suddendly saw a character that i could relate to, but that was also strong willed, and stood up for himself. I realized that, maybe i just wanted someone to protect me. Its a thought that sucks, not being able to protect yourself and seeking others to hide behind. But... he was there on my mind in my darkest places, and honestly? he hasnt left not even a single day. Made me thought that, maybe he would actually listen through my problems, maybe he would have stood up for me and protected me, maybe he would take the care i desperately craved for real people to give me. Sometime's hes the only reason i decide to get up from bed and do anything, i dont have it the roughest but i struggle emotionally with a lot. He's like, my emotional support, ironically, he's a support champion, haha, funny.

I then started interacting and seeing people who also formed these bonds with fictional characters, and suddendly i didnt feel that weird. He makes me feel like a little kid in love, and... it helps me heal. It keeps my mind busy, and i like him a lot enough not to get tired from thinking about him. Skins and AU's are helpful cause i can also explore other contexts of him, other things i didnt ask myself yet...

Getting sappy, i love everything about him. And it makes me happy seeing people that also love everything about him. I love it. I love him. And its been 5 hard years, but that also contains a lot of healing thanks to a random character from league of legends.

BnHA Chapter 316: We've Had One, Yes, But What About Second Explosion

Previously on BnHA: Deku was all “[powers up like whoa because it’s time to end the fight]”, and he saved Overhaul from getting not-shot, and then smashed up Nagant’s arm with the power of his new rechargeable super knees. Nagant was all “yoooo this kid is crazy strong whaaaat, it’s like he’s some kind of protagonist or something.” Deku was all “I AM A PROTAGONIST, ACTUALLY, DO YOU WANT TO JOIN FORCES AND FIGHT BAD GUYS WITH ME?” Nagant was all “ah shit why the hell no -- ” and then AFO was all “SURPRISE” and everyone was all “?!?!?!” and AFO was all “TIME TO EXPLODE NOW” and made Nagant explode because he’s an absolute fucking dick. And then Hawks showed up, because Horikoshi just wanted to stuff as many plot points as humanly possible into a single chapter I guess.

Today on BnHA: Hawks is all “good job giving motivational shounen redemption speeches Deku but I’ll take it from here” and screams very earnestly right in Nagant’s face until she finally wakes up. Nagant is all “oh hey it’s my successor, you seem surprisingly unfucked-up from your own HPSC tenure, how did you manage that?” Hawks is all “fandom is going to love hearing this one, but basically it’s because I’m very upbeat and also I had the world’s best role model Endeavor to look up to,” and I swear this man stirs the pot on purpose, but damn it I still love him so damn much. Overhaul is all “HELLO AGAIN, JUST A REMINDER THAT, THE BOSS!!” and Deku is all “MAYBE TAKE TWO SECONDS TO REFLECT ON HOW YOU TORTURED A LITTLE GIRL,” which, thank you, lol. Nagant is all “btw AFO’s hiding in a house in the woods”, and so Deku and the gang go to the house in the woods. Video recording!AFO is all “hi I’m AFO welcome to Jackass” and blows up the house. Sometimes I wonder if this manga is just a weird dream.

I am once again reading the Bean version because I think it was actually the best out of all three translations last week. and that is surprisingly including Viz’s. “faux” is not nearly as entertaining as “knockoff”, and also I have literally no idea why Caleb thought Deku was saying the Third’s lines lol
