Being a medieval geek and watching medieval shows is both a blessing and a curse, because sometimes the anachronism is funny, and other times it makes you want to throttle the writers and ask them what the fuck they're doing.

Funny Things: technically none of the saddles on BBC Merlin should have stirrups, those didn't reach England until 10th century during the Viking invasions. I-Have-QUESTIONS Things: If Gaius and Hunith are supposed to be siblings and Gaius wasn't previously a freeman (ergo bound in service to Camelot, meaning his entire family was also) how did Hunith end up in another kingdom, that's literally illegal, she's also got an education that she clearly passed on to Merlin, so their family must have had wealth/importance at one point, so again WHY IS SHE IN PODUNK, ESSETIR, and [gunshots]

Playlists & A lil Rando Info (90s Kids AU)

Making playlists for the Main 7 of the au (the main Sides + Thomas). Made a formula for it to make it easier. I've finished Remus' and Janus', moving on Virgil next.

Doing some research for music tastes and accuracy purposes. I didn't grow up in the 90s (believe it or not), so I gotta some looking to make sure this au is as close as I can possibly get it.

Will make all the playlists public once finished.

During making Remus' playlist (cause a part of my formula is one song from their official/canon playlists), I was listening to Things I Don't Remember by Ugly Casanova. It's been on repeat in meh head since then (sanity? none).

In being reminded that Sanctuary had a musical episode, I'm back in my Lena-and-the-Sanctuary daydreams. Which means that I'm strongly considering the fact that Helen Magnus is an older woman, and that Lena has had some arguably charged scenes with similarly older women in canon (cough*rhea*cough), which leads me to the conclusion that Lena may or may not have had relations with this woman:

the way I would kill to see the quick changes that @taylorswift does purely from the persective of a theater kid who has had to do an ungodly number of quick changes by herself and help others with a quick change in the wings. Like she literally changes from body suit to body suit, and there are very few opportunities to double the costume and wear say half of it under the one she would be wearing before.

I know this ruins the magic if you know how it works, but as someone who spent half her life in the wings and on the stage, I just gotta know. The absolute blinding speed at which you have to rip a dress off to put a skin tight bodysuit on that may or may not have delicate seams is astonishing.
