As you rush into the building, trying to avoid the construction team surrounding the place, a timid smile crosses your face when you spot Joel, the man responsible for why you’re running late this morning. Instead of getting ready for work like you were supposed to, Joel Miller decided he wanted to spend his morning coaxing another orgasm out of you, as if the three last night weren’t enough. It’s been a couple of months of this.
It had never been your intention to start sleeping with the hot contractor who had been doing construction at your place of work, you both just happened to be at the same bar one night. One thing led to another and now it’s been this, whatever this is.
“Mornin’ guys,” you say passing the crew, each giving their own sort of greeting back, be it a grunt of acknowledgment or repeating the greeting.
“Mornin’ ma’am,” Joel says with a cheeky smile, “Runnin’ a little late?”
“Yeah, woke up late,” you shrugged, feeling your face heat up.
“There you are!” Becky shouts, making her way towards you, “Angie is up my ass right now about where you are with those reports you said you’d get done yesterday.”
“On it,” you sigh, “Nice talking to you Joel.”
“Oh!” Becky said with a smile, grabbing his bicep, “Hi Joel! You guys sure have been working hard on all of this.”
You try to keep your eyes from rolling at Becky’s consistent attempt at flirting with Joel. She has definitely tried her hardest to get his attention, made cookies “for the crew” but only handed some of them to Joel, tries to talk to him every chance she can, wearing lower cut tops so her cleavage is on full display, batting eyelashes and laughing at any dumb thing he says. It’s starting to get on your nerves, if you’re being honest. Making your way to your desk you open the drawer, shoving your purse inside before closing it and turning on your computer. You open the teams app, sending Angie a quick message to let her know you’ll put the file with the reports in the folder outside her door, grabbing the file and making your way to her office.
Becky is still talking Joel’s ear off and you have to stifle your laugh, watching his eyebrows scrunch together and his polite nod before excusing himself. She catches you as you're on your way back to your cubicle to start the work day.
“That Joel Miller is a man,” Becky sighs, walking beside you, “The things I would let him do to me.”
“Oh jeez,” you laugh awkwardly, sitting down at your desk.
“I wonder what his dick is like,” she continues, “I bet it’s big.”
You turn to your computer hoping she can’t see the look on your face because then the jig would be up.
“Uhm,” you say, clearing your throat, “You better be careful. Don’t wanna get turned into HR.”
“Hello,” a frazzled delivery guy announces himself at the entrance to your cubicle. “I have a delivery for you, miss.”
“For me?!” Becky asks excitedly, seeing the bouquet of flowers. The delivery guy nodded, handing her the flowers. “Who are they from?!”
“Uh… Joel Miller?” The guy says, looking at his sheet. Your jaw drops upon hearing his words. Why on earth would Joel send Becky flowers?
“Oh my god!” Becky squeals with delight, grabbing the card, “Aw! Look! It says darlin’ on the envelope!”
Becky opens the card, reading it aloud:
“Figured a pretty lady like you should have some flowers to look at. Been havin’ the time of my life gettin’ to know ya and would love to take you out. He signed it off with a heart and J. Miller! How sweet is that?!”
Beside yourself on handling this, the only thing you could think of was finding the man himself. If this entire thing between you two was just for fun so be it, but you needed answers.
“Real sweet,” you mutter standing up, “I’m…  uh… I’ll be back.”
“Okay.” Becky hums dreamily, staring at the flowers on her desk.
You make your way to the front of the building, spotting Gus, one of the construction guys.
“Can you tell Joel I need to talk to him?”
“Sorry ma’am, he had to leave earlier, something about Tommy.” Gus shrugs.
“Uhm… okay.” You nod, deciding to make your way to the breakroom, sitting at one of the tables trying to collect your thoughts. Maybe it’s for the best that he left. That way the entire building wouldn’t see you blow up. Are you even still supposed to see each other tonight? That had been the plan when he left this morning. What the actual fuck, you think to yourself, give annoying ass Becky flowers to ask her out, and then fuck you? That two-timing son of a bitch!
“So fucking stupid,” you mutter to yourself.
You make it through the workday, as best as you can, trying not to think of Joel and how mad you are all while Becky continues to talk about him all day. What should she wear, wondering where he’d take her, what they would do, should she sleep with him on the first date. Hopefully, the Excedrin will kick in soon to help with the teeth grinding headache you’ve had all day. Walking to your car Becky’s shrill voice rings out wishing you a good evening.
“Yeah, you too,” you grumble, pulling your car door open and throwing your purse inside. You’re still so mad, fuming, seeing red as you drive towards your place. Once getting home, you quickly change into comfy clothes, and see you have a text from Joel.
JMiller: Can’t wait to see you beautiful ;) Leavin’ Tommy’s
You scowl looking at the text. How do you even respond to that? Petty, that’s how.
You: K.
You see the text bubbles pop up, disappear then pop up again before his face shows on your screen with an incoming call.
“Hello,” you snap.
“Hey,” Joel says hesitatingly, “Bad day at work?”
“Well, Becky got some lovely flowers delivered at work.”
“Oh?”
“Yep,” you say with a harsh pop at the end.
“And?” Joel asks, “Is that it?”
“Delivery guy and card said they were from you.”
“Fuck me,” Joel groans “Those were not for goddamn Becky!”
“Sure about that?”
“I got them for you.” Joel argues.
“Yeah, okay.” You huff into the receiver, rolling your eyes. “Look, I get it. It’s fine if you didn’t want this going anywhere but you could’ve been honest with me about it.”
“Fuck, darlin’,” Joel groans, “I do want this going somewhere! Like I said, the flowers were for you!”
“Sure,” you say, shaking your head, “Just be honest, Joel. This has just been fun, that’s it. You’re getting your dick wet, stringing me al—“
“God damn it! I am telling the truth!” Joel growls, cutting you off. “I even have proof!”
“What proof?!” You spit back, “The proof of the flowers you sent Becky? Yeah, I saw them, and the card too. Sweet touch signing it off with a heart and then your name.”
Suddenly there is a knock on your door. You cock your head to the side, hearing the knock sound through the phone as well. Of fucking course, Tommy’s is a five minute drive to your place, making your way to the door you swing it open to see Joel standing there. His nostrils flared, phone held up to his ear, dropping it and angrily stuffing it back into his pocket.
“Just give me five minutes, I swear, they were meant for you and I have fuckin’ proof,” Joel says, holding up a piece of paper.
“What the fuck, Joel?” You groan, smacking your phone onto the entry table.  “Why are you here?”
“I was on my way home from Tommy’s. Figure I’d come here first,” Joel says, holding the paper out to you, “Go on, look at it.”
You grab it, glancing it over. Farrah’s Flowers printed at the top, with your name listed as the order’s recipient, eyes bulging out of your head as you look at him.
“Told you.”
“Wait, then how the fuck did they get to Becky then?”
“Somebody fucked up, that’s all I know but that is my copy of the receipt for buyin’ them in the first place, and that is your name on it,” Joel smirks in triumph, crossing his arms across his broad chest.
Your shoulders relax as you open the door wider, motioning your head for him to come in. He gives a subtle nod, making his way into your home, you slump against the door once it’s closed.
“Joel,” you start, “What the fuck are we?”
He cages you against the door, pushing his lower half into you. You sigh, looping your arms around his neck, looking at those dark chocolate eyes.
“Well,” Joel says, kissing your cheek, “I want you,” placing a soft kiss against your lips, “More than just for sex,” he whispers, against your lips breathing in each other's air causing you to feel a dizzying arousal. Lips collide with him in a hungry kiss, tongues rolling against one another, gasping when his hands creep down to hook around your thighs lifting you, grabbing onto your ass before pulling you away from the door and carrying you to your bedroom.
Joel lays you down on your bed hovering over you, never breaking away from your lips, licking into your mouth with desperation like this might be his last chance. Arousal begins pool in your underwear. Hands gliding down his back, feeling the warmth radiating from him, lifting the bottom of his shirt until he finally lifts to fling it off.
“Don’t want anyone else,” Joel husks, lightly biting your neck, causing you to moan at the sensation of his teeth against your skin, “Just you.”
“Joel,” you whimper as his hand travels down the length of your shirt, pushing it up to expose your tits, ducking his head down. He sucks a nipple into his mouth, swirling his tongue around the stiffened peak before switching to give the other equal attention, kissing a trail down the soft flesh of your stomach until he reaches the top of your leggings.
“Can I?” He asks, looking at you, fingers hooking into your waistband. You give a firm nod and he pulls them off along with your underwear. He sighs once they are off, using his shoulders to spread your legs further apart, “So fucking pretty,” he hums, nipping and kissing along your inner thighs, slowly making his way to your center.
You can feel his breath against your folds, trembling with anticipation for his tongue and lips to make contact, letting out a soft moan Joel begins lapping at your folds, sucking your bundle of nerves into his mouth. Tongue massaging circles against your clit.
“Fuck,” you moan, raking your fingers through his hair and lightly tugging.
Joel’s hum reverberated into your core. His mouth opened and he began to fuck you with his tongue while firmly holding your gaze. You’re back arched at the sensation, letting out a gasp. You roll your hips against his face, his nose pressing deliciously against your clit. He grunts, moving his thumbs to spread your lips, licking a stripe up to your clit and sucking it into his mouth. Your legs begin to shake at the sensation.
“Oh my god, Joel!” You whine, arching your back, feeling the band tightening within your core, begging for release. Joel sinks two of his thick fingers into you causing you to cry out, moving them to massage that sweet spot against your walls, “Yes! Oh my god, fuck!” You could feel the smug smirk on his face, knowing you’re about to come.
“Come on,” he coos, firmly licking your bundle of nerves “Let me have it baby.”
You cry his name out over and over as you feel the waves of pleasure crashing through you. He continues lapping at your folds, wanting to make sure he gets every last drop before you push his head away. He crawls up the length of your body, the denim of his jeans scratching against your skin.
“Good?” He asks, you nod giggling and he smirks, grabbing the nape of his neck you pull him closer to your face, looking into your eyes he whispers a hi. You can’t help the smile that spreads across your face, surging forward to kiss him, tasting yourself on his tongue. He groans into your mouth, grinding his bulge against your center, the rough denim providing friction against your core. His hand moves to his belt, swiftly unhooking it and unbuttoning his jeans. Hands sliding down to help him push the denim off his hips, boxers following suit. You grip his hard length, stroking it from tip to base. Palm spreading the precome over his long thick length. Joel lets out a soft moan at the touch.
“Want you inside me,” you whimper, rubbing his cock against your slick heat. “Please.”
He bats your hand away, grabbing his cock to tease your folds more, rubbing his tip up and down your slit. You let out a moan when his tip catches against your entrance. Only for him to slide back up to your clit, rubbing agonizingly slow circles against you.
“Joel,” you begged, titling your pelvis, “Please, please fuck me.”
Joel smirks, sliding his cock back down to your entrance, feeding you his bulbous head. You writhe, feeling the stretch. He sinks into you slowly, filling you up until his tip kisses your cervix. Fingers gripping his back, each of you letting out a satisfied moan.
“Fuck, darlin’,” Joel murmurs into your neck, nipping and sucking on your pulse point, letting you adjust to his size, “Best pussy ever,” placing gentle kisses along your jaw.
“Joel, move,” you plead, hitching your legs up on his waist, “Need you to move.”
He pulls out slowly before snapping his length into you again, letting out a shaky breath at the harshness of his thrust. Your grip on his back tightens, sinking your nails into his skin. He lets out a hiss as he rocks his hips into you, trying to find that spot that makes you see stars.
“Fuck,” he grunted, “Don’t want anyone else, darlin’.”
Breathy moans shared between kisses, sweat slicked skin gliding against each other. He pushes your thighs back further into a mating press, finding that sweet spot inside your walls.
“Oh my god,” you whine, back beginning to arch, “Right there!”
His cock massages that spot with every stroke, causing your muscles to tighten. You can feel the coil in your belly tightening, walls beginning to flutter around his shaft as he drills into that spot over and over.
“Jesus Christ,” Joel growls, feeling the heat of his skin slapping against yours, “I need you to come, baby. Ain’t gonna last much longer.”
You moan wantonly as you feel his dick twitch inside of you. Joel holding out to make sure you come first. The coil in your belly finally snaps, sending you over the edge, white hot electricity flowing through every limb. He thrusts into you harshly half a dozen more times before his hips stutter.
“Only you, darlin’, only want you,” he grunts, as he empties himself inside you, painting your walls with his sticky release, “only want you.”
Joel collapses, holding himself up by his elbows on either side of your head, nuzzling his nose against yours, placing soft kisses against your lips.
“Only want you,” he sighs.
You spent the next hour, in each other's arms, talking, snuggling and kissing.
“I can’t believe you would think I’d want Becky,” Joel booms with laughter, eyes crinkling around the edges. You smirk playfully, slapping his arm.
“Look,” you giggle, “I didn’t know if her flirting finally wore you down!”
“Hi Joel!” He says in an exaggerated high pitch, batting his eyelashes, “My, you sure have been working hard!” he adds with a girly giggle, lifting his pecs to create some sort of cleavage.
“Oh shut up!”
“Did you see the flowers though? Like actually look at ‘em?”
“Not really,” you sigh, playing with a loose thread on your blanket.
“Purple tulips for new beginnings and love,” Joel says, planting a kiss on your cheek, “Jasmine for devotion,” he continues, kissing your other cheek, “and pink roses for appreciation,” he smiles before kissing the tip of your nose.
“Really?”
“Yep, the florist helped me pick them out,” Joel says, grabbing the back of your neck pulling you into a kiss, “Told ya they were for you.”

You had a secret: you were excruciatingly and agonizingly in love with your best friend, Sal Fisher. Okay so maybe it wasn't a secret to anyone except for Sal himself but it was still something you would rather die before Sal found out. He definitely didn't see you that way and he would probably reject you immediately if he found out. So it was safer to just not say anything.
He didn't need to know about the nights spent screaming into your pillow or crying in Ashley's arms over how sickeningly giddy his voice made you. He didn't need to know how easily he made your heart beat like you ran a marathon or how easily he made you feel like your head was in the clouds.
However that led to dilemmas such as the one you found yourself in currently. You were probably the most aware of Sal'a attractive but unfortunately, you were not the only one to notice it. So it was common as was happening right then, to find a girl start talking his ear off obviously trying to flirt with him.
"You're so funny, Sallyy," The girl giggled, sitting across from Sal at the cafeteria table. You tried to stop your glare from settling into your face but it was far too late, jealousy was disease that affected you quickly and viciously.
She was beautiful with tanned skin and soft lips, she was perfect and far more in the league of someone as incredible of Sal. But no, she doesn't deserve Sal. She doesn't know him like you do, she doesn't ache in her bones at the thought of being near him. She can't have him.
"You might as well leave." Larry commented to her, seeming far to amused as he glanced at you. You felt self conscious and tried to relax your face from the deadly look you had been casting on that girl. He continued, "[Name] is far too jealous to let you stay for much longer."
Murder should be legal, you quickly decided as you shot a look at Larry that made him well aware he would not be living for much longer. Why the hell would he say that? In front of Sal too?
Did he want you to die of heartbreak? Surely Larry fucking Johnson was praying on your downfall because there is no other logical reason for him to have done that. Unless he has a death wish.
"[Name] isn't dating Sal. Isn't that right, honey?" The girl replied, placing her hand over top Sal'`. That was when you snapped; how dare she touch Sal?
Before you could fully process thinking you grabbed her wrist and yanked it away from Sal. You looked at her, trying to cool the inferno of anger in your gaze as you said, "That boy is mine. Touch him again and I break all of your bones."
The girl let out a whimper and quickly rushed away, leaving a majority of the lunch room's eyes on you. You sunk into your seat, far too afraid to glance at the blue haired boy beside you. You were beyond embarrassed by your possessiveness, who were you to say he was yours?
Larry and Ashley were absolutely cackling, way too amused to see this side of you publicly outed to the boy you loved with your entire soul. Sal turned to look at you, his prosthetic hiding any hint of emotion you could have gotten.
"I'm yours?" He asked, his voice making your tummy rumble and roll. Even his voice was attractive, it physically wasn't fair to exist beside him and not have him to kiss and hold.
"Have you really not noticed, Sally?" Ashley asked, nudging you on the shoulder. You bit the inside of your cheek, preferring none of this to happen. Why did your feelings have to come out this way?
Sal made a confused noise but you grabbed his arm, and said, "Can I talk to you alone?" He nodded and let you lead him away from the lingering stares, into the hallway which was far more empty.
"What's up with you?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. You felt his gaze on your face, making it warm even more. Although that didn't seem quite possible with how feverish every inch of your skin felt. You looked down at your shoes, trying to stall the confession.
"I don't want you dating anyone." You said finally, jealously arising yet again as you remember that girl flirting with Sal. He let out a huff of confusion, his eyes still directly on you. Crap, you had to explain more.
"Seeing those girls flirt with you or hearing them make those vile comments about the things they want to do to you. It makes me so angry, it isn't fair. I don't want you dating anyone except for me. I want you to be my boyfriend." You ranted, feeling your blood boil as you remember all the times you had gotten jealous.
When Sal froze, you realized what you said. Oh no no no, he is going to reject you and never talk to you again. If only there was a self destruct button on your body you could press in this moment.
He kept staring at you, making you wish you could see beneath his mask to have a guess at how he was feeling. How disgusted he might be at your ridiculous feelings for him.
"why do you like....me?" He finally asked, sounding shocked that you could have feelings for him. Your gaze shot back up to meet his, and you saw the surprise (and dare you say, happiness?) in his eye.
"Why wouldn't I like you, Sal? You're so amazing and god I love you so much I think I've gone insane." You replied, feeling almost breathless with this string of honesty. His body finally relaxed and you could almost sense the smile beneath his mask.
"I love you too, [Name.]" Sal replies quietly, "Can I be your boyfriend?"
You felt your lips part with surprise, not believing your ears. Sal must have noticed your shock because he laughed and leaned closer, interlacing your hand with his deliciously cold fingers.
"Yes, you can be my boyfriend." You said, rambling slightly. You must've been injected with a dose of caffeine because you kissed his mask right where his lips lay under. Then you ran away, giggling like a lunatic. You stopped in a hallway, feeling flushed and faint and giddy and ridiculous.
Finally that boy truly was yours.

stargazing
warnings: dubcon, use of knife, unprotected sex
wc. 2.1k
you could literally feel the bass beneath your feet. the house felt like it was going to crumble in on itself at any given moment, but of course, frat boys went all out with their parties. loud music was an essential, apparently.
to be honest, you were looking for ethan. you hadn’t seen him since earlier that evening and he promised that he’d go stargazing with you later. how you lost ethan of all people at a party was way beyond you. he literally couldn’t fit in if he tried.
“gosh, E,” you grumbled to yourself, searching around for him. you didn’t find him, but you caught tara and mindy and asked, “hey, guys, have you seen ethan?”
“nope. he’s probably somewhere stabbing people,” mindy replied, crossing her arms.
you rolled your eyes. “would you stop already? ethan’s not a fucking killer. just look at the guy.”
mindy droned sarcastically, “because being a computer-obsessed socially enept dork isn’t a great cover for a psychopath, wow, you definitely have what it takes to be a final girl.”
tara nudged mindy and said, “we haven’t seen him. i’ll ask anika if she knows where he is though.”
“alright, thanks,” you said in relief. “i’ll be in the kitchen.”
like you said, you headed for the kitchen, temporarily pausing your hunt for ethan. to make things worse, literally everyone was cloaked in a costume, making it all that much harder to recognize everybody that was surrounding you. you’d tried calling him, but ethan’s phone had probably died or something because it went straight to voicemail.
“whatever,” you grumbled, peering inside the fridge for a beer.
“boo!”
you screamed, so loud the entire block could probably hear you over the raucous. you grabbed a knife from the counter and whipped around to spot chad pointing his finger at you, laughing his ass off. you rolled your eyes, annoyed by his shenanigans. for the past two weeks, chad had been pranking you for no other reason than getting on your damn nerves.
“you’re not fucking funny, chad,” you hissed.
“because i’m hi-fucking-larious,” chad retorted, then pointed at the knife in your hand with amusement. “what, were you going to stab me?”
you thrusted the knife forward, “i still will!”
“yeah, sure thing. maybe when you stop shaking and you can actually hold the knife,” chad teased, holding your wrist to stabilize you. you snatched your hand away from him and ignored his laughter while you set the knife back down, and chad gave you a chaste kiss to your cheek. “hey, we’re running low. can you go grab some more beer from the fridge in the garage?”
ugh, no wonder there’s nothing in the fridge here, you thought to yourself. “yeah, sure. just send a defenseless girl into a dark garage by herself to get slaughtered like an animal,” you retorted, but headed for the garage anyways.
chad called after you, “thanks, babe!”
“don’t call me that, i’m telling tara!”
the garage was just as dark as you expected it to be and you felt the wall for a light switch, breathing a little easier in relief when the lights flickered on. it was a little scary in there, not that you would admit to anyone. you were probably just a little shaken up from chad giving you the scare of your life. again.
you waltzed over to the fridge, opening it and grabbing as many bottles of beer as you could carry in one trip. god, it was going to be all chad’s fault if you dropped any of them. if he was a gentleman, he would’ve never let you carry a darn thing.
turning around to close the fridge, you jumped with a shriek when you heard a noise, only to find it was the cat. “jeez,” you muttered, walking back to the door.
much to your inconvenience, it was closed when you turned around. you blew out a breath and slipped the drinks under your arm, pulling at the handle. to no avail. “shit. which idiot locked me out?” you huffed, though you had a couple of ideas.
you were literally going to kill chad.
“hello,” you called, knocking the door on your fist. “can anyone hear me?”
you could still hear the music loudly thumping behind the shut door. needless to say, your shouts were drowned out.
you were completely annoyed now. then, you remembered the front door, and pressed the button to let up the garage. you walked towards the garage door, only for it to mysteriously come back down. brows furrowed, your turned on your heels, only to spot somebody in a ghostface costume by the door.
you gave them a look. “chad, is that you?”
the ghostface shook his head.
“great, what movie is this - i spit on your garage?” you asked, stepping back over to the door. you gave him a look. “lose the costume. you’ll give minds a heart attack and as much as i hate you, i don’t want you to be the next victim of her PTSD.”
again, he shook his head.
you scoffed, “oh, you wanna play psycho killer?”
he nodded.
you deadpanned, “can i be the helpless victim?”
predictably, he bobbed his head again.
“okay, let’s see,” you said, giving in to his little games. “no, please don’t kill me, mr. ghostface. i wanna be in the sequel!”
you laughed, expecting chad to laugh it off too and take the mask off, but you were baffled when he didn’t budge, shaking his head at you.
you were annoyed again. “okay, that’s enough. i’m not drunk enough to deal with your bullshit and i have to go find ethan.”
rather than let you go, he grabbed you and you struggled against his hold, asking, “chad, what the hell are you doing?”
you writhed so much that you dropped the beer, the bottles cracking into tens of glass shards on the cold floor. you couldn’t get away in time, because he pulled out a blood-stained knife and pointed it towards you, making you back down the steps until you tripped backwards, just barely missing the broken glass.
you hit the ground with a thud and ghostface crawled over you, giving you nowhere to run. your heart was thumping in your chest at a rapid speed, and you couldn’t find your breath. this wasn’t fucking chad. even he wouldn’t go this far.
this was a fucking monster.
“stop,” you said, gathering yourself on your elbows. you tried to back away, but it was no point, because you were too slow and there was absolutely nowhere for you to run off to.
the ghostface shook his head.
you made a risky move and reached for the mask, pulling it off his head to reveal the true identity of your attacker.
and nothing could describe the shock and anger that paralyzed you when saw his face. “what the fuck?”
“surprise, surprise,” ethan said, waving at you with the knife.
“you’re kidding.”
ethan beamed at you. “i’m afraid not, sweetheart.”
you shook your head. you couldn’t believe this. the boy you’d been (not so) secretly smitten with and defended with your whole being was at the helm of the latest ghostface killings. you felt betrayed and back-stabbed, and you were terrified of how soon you would mean that literally. you were at a loss for words.
“please don’t hurt me, ethan,” you begged, your eyes glistening. your back hit the large garage door.
“hurt you?” ethan repeated, cocking his head. “never that. i just want to fuck you.”
your brows furrowed. “huh?”
“you have a crush on me, don’t you?”
“well, i did,” you mumbled, making a face.
“say you don’t want me,” ethan demanded, staring into your eyes. you couldn’t look away from his even if you wanted to. it was as if you were being hypnotized. “tell me you don’t want me and i’ll leave you alone.”
you frowned. you couldn’t do that, because you would be lying - to him and to yourself. you’d wanted him for ages, dreamed about him even longer. your heart beated for him, each pump spelling his name over and over again, and it would until the very last beat.
ethan pretended to be impatient. “well?”
i don’t want you. it was that simple. you knew it was the smarter choice, because ethan was dangerous, but when your heart was involved, rational thinking was out the window. as was the safety of your friends and the preservation of yourself.
“i want you,” you whispered.
“huh? i didn’t quite catch that.”
god, he was so annoying. “i want you,” you blurted.
“that’s all i needed to hear,” ethan chirped, smashing his lips against yours.
you let yourself be consumed by his lips and the heat of them, because it made you feel things inside, inexplicable things. he was a hell of a good kisser. you threaded your fingers through his curly, brown head of hair, wanting to tangle them through there until the end of time. you’d imagined it before, like a passing daydream. how soft his hair would feel in your hands and how gentle his mouth would feel pressed to yours.
for a killer, ethan was a surprisingly sweet and steady kisser, and for a moment you were so immersed in an entirely different world - one where there was only you and him - that you forgot reality.
in no time at all, ethan had ditched the ghostface fit and you were both more or less nude. the door was locked and the garage was down so there was no way for anyone to interrupt you. you expect chad to complain that you were taking too long to grab some fucking beer, but well, he’d just have to wait. and you’d have to come up with an explanation for why you dropped so many on the floor, but that was a problem for later.
right now, you were more concerned with getting ethan landry’s dick inside of you.
“fuck,” you moaned when he slipped inside your cunt, slowly but surely pushing inside.
ethan was making a similar sound, grunting about how tight you were and how perfect you felt wrapped around his cock, how he’d imagined this moment countless times. you had, too, but it wasn’t exactly playing out how you’d planned it in your mind. not that you were really complaining. to have his dick inside you, you were content.
you were glad that he wasn’t wearing that stupid mask. it did things to you seeing his handsome face scrunch up in ecstasy as he used your body for his own pleasure. and you would let him, because you loved him half to death.
“you’re mine. nobody else can have you,” ethan hissed in between marking up your neck. you were so engrossed with him that you didn’t even consider the fact that your friends would definitely poke fun at and interrogation you for the set of hickeys he was sure to leave on your throat and collarbone. you wanted to mark him back, but would take your time for now, dragging your nails down his bare back. “say it.”
“nobody else can have me. i belong to you,” you reiterated through thick breath.
ethan winced at the feeling of your nails digging into his skin, but he didn’t mind the sting. “i’ll kill anyone who touches you with my bare hands.”
you were just nodding along and barely acknowledging his words at this point, too fucked out to offer anything meaningful, because ethan was doing way too good of a job at pleasuring you and you physically couldn’t take it.
the two of you were so close, you could feel it, your bodies moving in sync with one another. your lips connected and reconnected, the kisses doing nothing but fueling your mutual arousal. the air was hot in the garage and the floor was cold, but you could feel nothing save for your growing feelings for the both between your legs and the absolute bliss he was bringing to you.
ethan became more obsessed with you with every thrust and he didn’t exactly know that was possible, because he was already quite obsessed with you. you were everything he wanted and more. if he couldn’t have you, then absolutely nobody else would.
“E, please cum inside me,” you begged. “pretty please.”
“shit,” ethan groaned, because you sounded so pretty when you begged for him. “i will, fuck, trust me.”
true to his word, he did cum inside you, once giving you the greatest orgasm, most mind-numbing of your life. you could still feel his palm over your mouth, smothering the sound of your shrill cries of his name as you shuddered with climax. the music was loud enough so that it would drown out the sound of sex, moans and skin-slapping included, but he didn’t want to risk anybody else hearing what was his and only his.
you lay there panting when you were done, your vision steadily clearing. ethan let out the most guttural, delicious groan when he came inside of you and you knew then that he was irresistible.
maybe you did see stars after all.

Will you let me hold you, please?
High school theater kid! Cooper x High school theater kid! Fem Reader
TW: extra corny bad written fic about a fruit salad 🤗
A.N: I completely understand if you do not want to finish reading this, I literally wrote this for funsies and because of the lack of cooper fics
"Have a little faith, Cooper is a great actor!" my friend Madelyn suggests as we walk away from the bulletin board. "I've seen him in a couple of school plays before, and plus, you are a great actress. I'm sure you'll do just fine."
"You do realize he's a sophomore, right? Maddie, I'm a freshman—he’ll be incredibly uncomfortable!" I say, turning to her as I glance down at my phone, checking the time. Five minutes until the first script read-through.
"Chill, Y/N. I had art with him last semester, and he’s honestly the sweetest human being. You’ll do just fine. Besides, he doesn’t talk to any of the other sophomores, so he doesn’t really care," she tries to comfort me, but it’s of no use. "He’s a 'go with the flow' kind of guy."
"Sure, yeah… Cooper, super nice, super chill, as cool as a breeze," I reply in an awkward voice as we reach the doors of the auditorium.
"Ew, don’t do that in front of him, please!" she laughs, patting my back. "Look, you got the role for a reason. You have talent. Thrive in it. It’ll be like home to you—I just know it." She smiles softly, and it makes me feel better. She always knows how to keep me grounded.
I sigh as I push open the door, stepping inside. I turn back to see Madelyn giving me two thumbs up. Dork.
I head to the front row of the empty auditorium, dropping my backpack into one of the seats. I glance around at everyone else, talking among themselves—none of them have noticed me yet.
"Hey, look! It’s Baby Moon!" Or so I thought.
I turn to see Liv, a senior, shouting from across the room. I remember her from when she was a junior and my brother, who had just recently graduated, was a senior. They had... a thing. No one really knew what it was—hell, I didn’t even know, and my brother tells me everything. When he graduated, he cut ties with her, saying it was for the best. He was right, but she refused to accept it. Ever since then, she’s made it her mission to make my life hell.
That’s why she got everyone to start calling me "Baby Moon," because of my last name. I hate the nickname.
"Thanks for the warm welcome, Liv," I say sarcastically as the others’ laughter dies down. She walks toward me with an arrogant smile. Can't wait to hear this.
"So, Baby Moon, congrats on the lead with Koch," she sneers, using Cooper's last name, which I know he hates—something Madelyn had mentioned.
"Thanks. Which role did you get? Tree number one?" I mock with a pout, to which she scoffs. "Relax, I know you wanted a low-profile role, so you went for the ensemble."
She rolls her eyes and walks away as we hear the theater teacher enter.
"Good afternoon, my beautiful actors and actresses! Today will be simple. We’ll have a first read of the scripts, and I’ll have the leads do a semi-improv chemistry test. Are we clear?" Everyone nods or mutters a 'yes' in response as she takes her seat in the front row with her clipboard. "Y/N, I see you're here. Has Cooper arrived?"
I look around. No sign of him.
"No, I haven’t seen him—"
"I’m here! Sorry! I’m here!" Cooper bursts through the door, his hair ruffled and his backpack hanging low from his arm. He must have sprinted from the other side of the school.
The teacher giggles softly. "It's alright, Cooper. Please grab a script."
He nods, grabbing the only remaining script from the second-to-last seat in the front row. He sits down, exhaling deeply, still panting from his run. He looks up, and our eyes meet for a brief moment before we both look away.
We finally start the read-through. I'm enjoying myself, and I glance around to see how others are reacting. Some look bored as usual, while others are laughing, and a few seem to be trying.
The teacher then announces the reading is over, and the leads are to come up to the stage for the chemistry test. I make my way to the stage, followed by Cooper, while the others remain seated, watching.
"I want to see some romance. Show me how you two connect, okay? Just let it flow," the teacher instructs.
I turn to Cooper, internally panicking about how I ended up in this situation, knowing I have zero guts for anything romantic.
"And... action!" the teacher calls out.
"I said I was sorry," Cooper says, his expression pleading, his voice taking on a whiny tone. Okay... think, Y/N, think.
"I-I don't know what to tell you. This was everything to me. You made a promise, and you broke it," I reply, spitting out the words with a mix of rage and a face on the verge of tears.
"Baby..." His voice softens as he steps closer, taking my hands in his. "I know I was wrong, but... I love you." He draws nearer.
"I just... I..." Before I know it, Cooper is down on his knees, his head level with my chin due to our height difference. One hand wraps around my waist while the other supports behind my knees.
"Please... I'll beg for your forgiveness if that's what you want. But please..." My hands instinctively move to his head—one running through his hair, the other resting on his cheek. "Please, baby... I promise I won't hurt you again."
A shiver runs down my spine as he speaks, his voice so smooth, so full of emotion that I almost forget we’ve never met before. Yet here he is, on his knees, begging for my forgiveness.
"I just can't... but you're just... so hard to get away from. You're like a drug to me. Tell me, love, what did you do to me? Why can't I walk away from you?" His face inches closer to mine, and without realizing it, I lean in too. Our lips meet—not rough or desperate, but soft and caring.
"And cut! Wow!" I pull away, realizing what just happened. My cheeks flush red as I turn to see the theater teacher smiling widely.
I turn back to find Cooper still on his knees, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist, making me blush even more. I extend a hand to help him stand.
"Nice to meet you, Cooper," I laugh, finally introducing myself after the whole unplanned scenario.
"Same here, Y/N." He laughs too, shaking my hand. Gosh, this is mortifying.
As Cooper stands up and shakes my hand, I can’t help but blush even harder. My cheeks feel like they’re on fire. I try to compose myself as the theater teacher begins to speak.
“That was absolutely brilliant!” she exclaims, clapping her hands together in excitement. “You two have incredible chemistry on stage. I’m feeling some real magic here.”
I turn back to Cooper, and we exchange a sheepish smile, still feeling the adrenaline from the scene we had just performed. My heart races as I realize we had just kissed. Even if it was just for the scene, it still left me feeling a bit flustered.
The theater teacher continues, "I knew I made the right choice in casting you two as leads! You're both incredibly talented, and you play off each other so well."
I glance at Cooper again, feeling a strange mix of butterflies in my stomach and a tinge of nervousness.
The teacher goes on, "I’m really excited to see what you two can do together. The opening night is in three weeks, so we better start working hard!"
I nod in agreement, still trying to process the events of the past few minutes. I can feel the eyes of the other cast members on us, some looking curious, others slightly envious.
Cooper speaks up for the first time, his voice as smooth as it was during the scene, "I’m really looking forward to working with you, Y/N."
“Me too… you’re really talented. You had me there for a second, and we just met.” I chuckle as we walk off the stage, grabbing our backpacks. “I’m not gonna lie, I was way too nervous before coming in. I thought you’d be, uhm— intimidating?”
Cooper chuckles softly as he walks beside me, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "Intimidating? Me?" he says jokingly. "I’m not sure whether to feel honored or offended that you thought I was intimidating," he laughs again, this time softer.
We reach the door, which he pushes open to let me go first. I mutter a small "thanks." “Well, probably a bit offended, seeing as I’m literally mocked by everyone in this school, so… I was kinda expecting the same.”
Cooper's expression softens when I mention the mocking, and I see a hint of concern in his eyes. He then speaks, "I’m sorry to hear that… but trust me, I’m not like everyone else. I’m a pretty chill guy, and I don’t see you as less than anyone because you’re a freshman or whatever it is they mock you about."
“That’s— thanks…” I smile softly as I notice him subtly biting his bottom lip. “If they ever ask for Baby Moon, just know, that’s me,” I say with a chuckle, feeling a bit flustered.
Cooper lets out a laugh, "Baby Moon, huh? That’s a new one.” He raises an eyebrow, still smiling. “I have a feeling that’s not the only nickname you’ve accrued.”
“Not at all, no,” I laugh, noticing his messy hair, which I’d messed up earlier when I ran my hands through it. “I’m— sorry about your hair. It was the moment,” I stammer, blushing even more.
Cooper laughs sheepishly, bringing a hand up to ruffle his hair. “Don’t worry about it. Besides, it looks better this way.” He glances at me with a playful smirk. “Though I can’t help but wonder if you just wanted an excuse to mess it up.”
“Then I wonder if you just wanted an excuse to kiss me,” I turn it back on him, trying not to burst into laughter.
Cooper’s eyes widen in surprise, clearly not expecting that response. A blush slowly creeps onto his face as he struggles to reply. He stutters out a quick response, “I—no—uh…” Then he breaks into laughter, clearly amused by my retort. “Damn, good one,” he says, still laughing.
“I’m just teasing you. I’m never serious,” I laugh as I see someone running toward us. I turn around and see Madelyn approaching with a knowing smile as she spots me standing there with Cooper.
Cooper chuckles at my comment, still amused by our exchange. We then turn to see Madelyn approach, her grin widening as she sees us together. She walks up to us, her eyes flickering between Cooper and me with an almost conspiratorial look.
“Well— I…I’ll see you tomorrow at rehearsal, Cooper,” I smile at him and glance at his messy hair again. “You better fix that, or people might get the wrong idea.”
Cooper gives me a sly smile, clearly enjoying the banter. “Sure thing. Can’t have people thinking I was making out with the lead now, can I?”
He then laughs and playfully fixes his hair a bit, though it still looks incredibly messy. “There. Better?”
“A mirror might help you,” I snort as I grab Madelyn’s arm. Cooper huffs in mock annoyance.
“Hey, I tried my best!”
Madelyn grabs my arm and begins to pull me away as Cooper calls out. “See you tomorrow! Don’t forget to practice your lines!”
“You bet I won’t!” I answer, blushing, knowing Madelyn would comment on Cooper’s "making out with the lead" remark.
After we walk away, Madelyn looks at me with a mischievous grin, her eyes practically sparkling with curiosity.
“So…” she begins, a hint of playfulness in her voice, “making out with the lead, huh?”
“It’s just— a joke, a joke. We didn’t, like… make out for real,” I say, stammering as I look down at my feet.
Madelyn smirks at me, clearly enjoying my flustered state. “So you did make out with him,” she says, still grinning. “Wow, you do not waste time, do you?”
“Shut up, will ya? This is so embarrassing. We just— kissed for the chemistry thing and… and we introduced ourselves after he’d stuck his tongue down my throat! God—” I cover my face with my hands. Please kill me.
Madelyn bursts out laughing, clearly finding the whole situation hilarious. "Oh my god, Y/N," she giggles. "You’re blushing so hard right now. And his tongue down your throat? Wow, so much for being the quiet one, huh?"
“Shut up!” I laugh, mortified by the whole situation. I will never EVER live this down. “I’m just glad it’s over, so the kiss in rehearsals and on opening night won’t be… awkward.” I sigh as the heat from my cheeks dies down.
Madelyn snickers as she slings an arm around my shoulders. "Oh, you'll be fine. As long as you can see him again in rehearsals and on opening night. I'm sure you'll have plenty more 'tongue down the throat' moments to look forward to."
“Maddie! Oh my gosh!” I yell as she bursts out laughing, clearly finding this whole thing incredibly amusing while I find it rather mortifying.
As we walk down the hallway, suddenly Liv stands in our way, making us stop. She steps in front of us with a smug smile on her face. "Well, well, well," she sneers, looking directly at me. "Looks like the freshman got lucky, huh?"
I cringe internally as I realize what she's referring to. Liv had always loved bringing me down. I don't say anything, just try to maintain my composure as I look at her blankly.
She continues, turning her attention to Madelyn. "I mean, who would have thought little Baby Moon would get the lead and a cute upperclassman all in one day?"
"Liv—" I feel blank, and I don't want to fight, but I also know Madelyn won't let this slide.
Madelyn, ever the outspoken one, steps in front of me, her expression hardening. "Cut the crap, Liv," she spits. "You know damn well that Y/N deserves that role more than anyone."
Liv scoffs, unfazed by Madelyn's words. "Please, just because she's a freshman doesn't mean she's any good. And I saw her with Koch earlier—he's way out of her league."
Madelyn rolls her eyes, clearly annoyed by Liv's condescending attitude. "You're just jealous," she snaps back. "Y/N's a damn good actress, and Cooper being into her just proves it."
"He's not—" I try to speak, but they both completely ignore me.
Liv smirks, not backing down. "Please, he's not into her, and even if he was, it's only because she's the lead. Once opening night is over, he'll dump her and move on to the next girl who gets the lead."
"He's not into me, and neither am I into him! It's just acting!" I snap, frustration bubbling over. "God, Liv, get a fucking life and stop snooping into mine because you're still obsessed with my brother! Go find a friend or something!" I gasp for air as I stop myself from saying anything else. Shit.
Liv's face goes slack at my outburst, clearly taken aback. Madelyn looks shocked, but I can see a hint of approval in her eyes. The hallway falls eerily quiet as people around us stop to look and whisper about what just happened.
"I—Liv, I'm so sorry—"
Liv takes a step back, clearly stung. She tries to keep her cool, but I can see the hurt in her eyes. "Shut up," she says, her voice strained. "You have no idea what you're talking about."
Madelyn steps between us, trying to diffuse the tension. "Okay, both of you, chill out," she says, her voice firm but calm.
Liv glares at me before pushing past us, bumping my shoulder as she walks away. Madelyn turns to me, a mix of concern and approval on her face. "That was intense," she says, shaking her head.
"I'm 100% screwed," I mutter as I stare blankly down the hallway. I was barely into freshman year, and my high school life was already over.
Madelyn sighs, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Hey, don’t worry too much about it. Yeah, Liv's probably pissed, but she'll get over it. And besides, this might actually work in your favor."
The next day comes around, and I'm walking into the auditorium for rehearsal. The events of yesterday are still fresh in my mind, and I can feel the tension in the air as I make my way down the aisle to the stage. Some of the cast members give me curious glances, clearly aware of the confrontation with Liv.
As I approach the stage, I spot Cooper sitting off to the side, going over some notes. He looks up and gives me a small smile, clearly aware of the awkwardness between us after the whole flirty interaction and making-out thing. I awkwardly return the smile and make my way beside him.
I set my backpack down and try to think of something to say, but before I can, Cooper breaks the silence. "Hey," he says softly. "How are you holding up after yesterday?"
"I see you've heard about my little outburst to Liv—like everyone else." I shake my head as I pull the script from my backpack. "You never realize how quickly gossip spreads until you reach high school."
Cooper lets out a small laugh, clearly amused. "Yeah, I heard about it," he says, still smiling. "But don't worry too much. Half the people in this school have probably gotten into a fight with Liv at some point."
"Yeah, well, I'm not exactly thrilled to be one of Liv's mortal enemies." I smile as I turn the pages of the script, marking specific sections with numbers and lines. He lets out another soft laugh, mirroring my actions.
"Well, if she keeps you as her mortal enemy, she can count on having two now," he says, his eyes meeting mine. "I've got your back. I'm not a raging asshole."
I laugh, looking down at my hands, feeling a bit flustered by his words, though my head pounds lightly. He barely knew me, yet he was already being so sweet. But then Liv’s words echoed in my head for some reason.
He was probably just being nice because I was the lead. He has no reason to be this nice or "have my back."
"Yeah, thanks..." I say softly, trying to push Liv's voice out of my head. She's the raging asshole, not Cooper.
"By the way, have you read through the whole thing?" He closes his script. "I'm obsessed with the confession scene," he says, grabbing my script and flipping through the pages until he lands on a specific part with a grin. I yawn as he hands the script back to me. "Sleepy? It's barely 11:30, you know?" he snorts, seeing my tired expression.
"Yeah, just—" I yawn again. "Yeah, just a little." I smile softly, though it was far more than just a little. I hadn't slept more than an hour and hadn't eaten anything yet, only drinking water all morning.
"Well, better wake up, kid. We've got some rehearsing to do," he laughs as he gets up and walks on stage. Our teacher stands up and starts indicating the scenes we'd be rehearsing during the week, and something about costumes, though I don't really hear any of it as the room spins around me.
"Y/N, get into place with Cooper, sweetheart," she calls out. I walk slowly, carefully stepping onto the stage. I glance at Cooper, his expression showing clear confusion, as if to say, "She was fine a couple of minutes ago."
"Okay, Cooper, start on the second line on the third page, scene two. You there?" He quickly reads through the page and gives a thumbs-up. The teacher then turns to me. "Y/N, are you with us, love?"
I glance down at the page, then up at her and nod softly, trying to ignore my exhaustion and pounding headache.
"Mhm." Cooper turns to me, still looking concerned but saying nothing.
"Alright then, Cooper, on my count," the teacher says. "And... action!"
"I haven't seen you around here, are you new?" Cooper says, holding his hands behind his back as he moves steadily closer. "I'm Alec. You are?"
"Yeah, that’s—me, new—nice to meet you." I stretch out my hand, and he rolls his eyes with a playful grin. "Roni, I'm Roni, a pleasure."
"Well, Roni, what brings you around here? Little spoiler: there's not much to see." He turns his back on me, taking a few steps away before stopping and spinning around.
"My—my..." I try to step back, but my legs wobble. I let out a shaky breath, struggling to finish my line. "My—mom, she's on boyfriend number four, so..."
"Oh—messy home life?" His brows furrow as he sees me stumble. "Everything alright?"
"Not—not really, but I can live with it." My breathing becomes shaky as the whole auditorium spins faster. Cooper glances at our teacher, then back at me. I attempt to take another step, but my knees buckle, and I feel myself fainting.
Cooper rushes over in an instant, wrapping his arms around mine as he fell to the ground with me in his arms and falling onto his lap.
A few gasps were heard as the whole thing happened. Cooper stroked some hair out of my face as he checked me over. The teacher called a fifteen-minute break before coming up to check on me and Cooper, who hadn’t left my side.
“Y/N, sweetie, what happened? Are you alright? Did you get hurt?” she asked, grabbing my chin and turning my face from side to side as she checked me. I shut my eyes, still dizzy from the tumble.
“Yeah, just—tired. I had a long night, that’s all.”
“Y/N, you collapsed. You would’ve hit the ground if I hadn’t caught you,” Cooper spoke up as someone handed him his backpack after he silently signaled for it. “You are in no state to rehearse today.” The teacher nodded as he pulled out a chocolate protein bar and handed it to me. “You have to eat something, please.”
“Cooper, I’m fine—really.” As our teacher walked away, he opened the wrapper and placed the bar in my hand. I turned to him, and he just remained silent. “Cooper—”
“Eat. I can’t have my love interest fainting on me,” he chuckled. Finally, I gave in and took a bite, feeling immediate relief as something hit my stomach after hours of starvation.
I finished the bar, and I realized I was still sitting between Cooper’s legs as he held me, not letting go at any moment. I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks as I saw him smiling down at me. I tried to get up, but he gently took hold of my wrist.
“Will you let me hold you here for a while, please?” he asked shyly, sighing. “Rest here for a bit. I just want to make sure you’re okay, please.”
“You are... too sweet. Fine,” I replied, staying in place as Cooper wrapped his arms around my neck from behind. I shook my head with a small smile.
“Is this a bad moment to ask if you’d like to get coffee with me sometime?” he asked, peeking his head around the side. I let out an audible laugh. Madelyn was right—he might just be the sweetest human being ever.

Swept Under the Rug - Jack Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: Jack's never been known for his... stable relationships, but Luke's bsf might just change that. The issue: Luke would rather die than see her date his brother
content: angst, mentions of being unfaithful, fwb, fluff!, kissing, mentions of smut but no explicit smut
wc: 4.9k
notes: hey! this was the second-most requested from my list of upcoming fics! if somethings don't line up, i'm sorry! i didn't proofread it :/ enjoy!!
Elizabeth Winters, known to most as Liz but forever "Lizzy" to Luke Hughes, considered the Hughes house her second home. Over the years, she'd spent countless days sprawled on their basement couch, eating snacks with Luke while they watched the latest Leafs game on the TV or sharing inside jokes that made no sense to anyone but them.
Luke was her best friend in every way that mattered: loyal, protective, and so steadfastly in her corner that it felt like he was her own personal guard dog. It wasn't uncommon for him to roll his eyes at her latest "crush of the week" or grumble about some guy who'd wasted her time. "You need better taste in men, Lizzy," he'd say with all the authority of someone who acted like he had it figured out.
It was that protectiveness that made the summer before Luke's second NHL season both exciting and a little bittersweet. With the pressures of professional hockey looming large, she knew their carefree, everyday hangouts would start to dwindle. Luke insisted they wouldn't, but Liz had been around long enough to know how life could pull people apart.
Still, the Hughes house held its usual chaotic energy, and Liz felt like she was where she belonged. Quinn was more of a quiet presence when he was around, often keeping to himself. Jack, on the other hand, was a completely different story.
He was impossible to ignore. He carried himself with an effortless charm that seemed to draw people in like moths to a flame. Jack was cocky but not in an unkind way--he knew he was good at hockey, good-looking, and awfully good at making people laugh. His reputation with girls, however, left something to be desired. Liz had heard enough stories from Luke to know that Jack was what one might generously call "a player."
"Jack thinks commitment is a four-letter word," Luke had joked once, earning a laugh from Liz.
She'd always been skeptical of Jack's allure, even if she had to admit he had the kind of grin that could probably get him out of trouble nine times out of ten. For her, he was Luke's annoying older brother, nothing more. Sure, he had that floppy hair that made him look like a dork when he tucked it behind his ears, and yeah, his laugh was infectious, but Liz wasn't about to fall into that trap. She knew better.
It was one of those lazy afternoons in early July when Liz found herself once again in the Hughes' kitchen, rifling through the fridge for a drink.
"You know, you're here more than I am," Jack teased from his stool at the island.
Liz rolled her eyes, popping the cap off a bottle of water. "Maybe that's because you're always gallivanting with whatever Instagram model happens to be in town."
Jack smirked, his blue eyes glinting with amusement. "Gallivanting? Who even uses that word?"
"People who read books," Liz shot back, feeling a small surge of satisfaction at the way he laughed.
Their banter was easy, but it meant nothing. Jack flirted with everyone, from waitresses to Luke's friends' moms. That was just who he was.
"Lizzy!" Luke's voice echoed from the living room. "You're not letting Jack corrupt you, are you?"
Liz turned to see Luke walking in, hair damp from his shower and a scowl on his face aimed squarely at his brother.
"Corrupt me? Please," she said, grabbing her water bottle and heading toward her best friend. "Your brother doesn't stand a chance."
Jack's mock-offeneded "Hey!" followed her out of the kitchen, but she barely looked back.
The rest of the day passed the way it always did when she was with Luke, easily. Luke hogged the whole sofa, their laughter punctuated by the occasional chirp from Jack, who had perched himself on the armrest at some point.
Despite her insistence that she wasn't swayed by Jack's charm, Liz couldn't help but notice the way his presence seemed to fill the room. When he cracked a joke, everyone laughed. When he smiled, it was impossible not to look.
But that was just Jack. And she wasn't about to fall for it.
Right?
~~
Liz should've said no.
She should've declined when Jack offered to drive her home after another late night at the Hughes house. Luke had fallen asleep halfway through a Marvel movie marathon, his lanky frame sprawled across the couch while Liz had been left half-buried under a blanket. Jack, ever the night owl, had wandered in during the second movie, teasing her about her choice of snacks and stealing half her popcorn.
By the time the credits rolled, it was nearly midnight.
"I can call an Uber," Liz had said, brushing off the flutter in her heart when Jack offered to drive her.
"Or," Jack countered, "you could save twenty bucks and let me do the honours."
She hesitated, glancing at Luke, who was snoring lightly beside her. On paper, there was no good reason to refuse. Jack lived for late nights and seemed completely unbothered, even energized, by the idea of going out at this hour. It wasn't like he was some stranger--he was Luke's brother. She'd known him for years.
And yet.
"Fine," Liz relented, grabbing her bag.
The car ride started inncoently enough. Jack turned the music up, some mellow indie playlist filling the silence as the suburban streets blurred by. They talked about random things: the weirdest foods they'd ever tried, a debate about whether summer or winter was better, and the chaos of their childhoods.
Liz was laughing more than she should have, glancing over at Jack as he gestured animatedly about a prank he'd pulled on Quinn years ago.
But then... the conversation shifted.
"You don't really think I'm that bad, do you?" Jack asked suddenly, his once light tone now pointed.
Liz frowned. "What are you talking about?"
"You know," he said, flashing her a grin before looking back at the road. "The whole 'Jack's a player, avoid at all costs' thing. You and Lukey love giving me shit about it."
She shrugged, trying to play it cool. "I mean, you don't exactly have the best track record."
Jack laughed softly, shaking his head. "Fair enough. But you ever think there's more to me than that?"
She didn't know how to respond. Sure, Jack could be cocky and frustrating, but in moments like this--when it was just the two of them, the banter stripped away--he seemed... different.
"I guess I never really thought about it," Liz admitted, her voice quieter now.
"Maybe you should."
The air in the car shifted, subtle but undeniable. Liz felt her heartbeat pick up, her mind racing with questions she didn't dare voice.
They pulled into her driveway, the porch light casting a warm glow across the front of her house. Liz reached for the door handle, but Jack's voice stopped her.
"Wait."
She turned, finding him watching her with an intensity she'd never seen before.
"You're different, Liz. You know that?"
Liz blinked. "Different how?"
Jack leaned slight closer, his movements unhurried. "You're not like the other... Instagram model girls. You don't care about any of that bullshit they do. You're just... you."
It would've been easier to laugh off, to tease him for making her seem like a manic pixie dream girl. But something about the way he said it--he wasn't very good with words--made it impossible.
"Jack..." she started, but whatever she was about to say vanished the moment he leaned in.
The kiss was nothing like she expected, soft at first but quickly growing hungrier, fueled by weeks--months, years--of tension. Liz could hear her pulse in her ears, her hands gripping the fabric of his light hoodie.
It was wrong. She knew it was wrong. But it felt so, so good.
They broke apart, breathing heavily. Liz stared at him, the conflicting emotions a tornado in her head.
"What are we doing?" she whispered.
Jack smirked, though there was a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. "Living a little?"
Living a little. That was all this was to him.
"I can't," she shook her head. "Luke--he'd kill us both."
Jack sighed, leaning back in his seat. "Luke doesn't have to know everything you do, Liz."
Jack's world was one of easy charm and fewer consequences, but this wasn't just about him.
"I can't betray him like that," Liz said, her voice firmer now.
Jack tilited his head, studying her. "And what about you? What do you want, Liz?"
The question lingered, but remained unanswered as she hopped out of the car, whispering a quiet "thank you."
She barely slept that night. Her mind replaying their make out session--if you could call it that--over and over. The feeling of Jack's lips on hers, the look in his eyes.
She hated how much she wanted to kiss him again.
But the thought of Luke--the way he trusted her, the way he'd drop everything to be there for her--was a constant, gnawing idea in her mind.
Jack didn't seem like the kind of guy who thought too hard about the consequences of his actions. And she wasn't sure she could trust him to take this seriously, not when the stakes were so high.
~~
The next time she saw Jack, he acted like nothing had happened.
"Morning, Liz," he said breezily, winking at her as he grabbed a cup of coffee from the kitchen.
"M--Morning."
Luke walked in seconds later, completely oblivious to the undercurrent of tension between his brother and his best friend. "Lizzy, you ready for some one-on-one later? I've been working on my wrist shot, and I'm gonna fucking smoke you this time."
"Dream on," she shot back, thankful for the distraction.
But as the day went on, she couldn't shake the feeling of Jack's eyes on her, the ghost of his lips on hers still fresh in her mind.
She was in shit. Deep, deep shit.
~~
The kiss hadn't been intended to turn into anything more.
In the days that followed, she tried to convince herself it had been a fluke, a moment of weakness they could both pretend never happened. But Jack seemed to want to make that impossible.
It started small: a lingering loko when Luke wasn't paying attention, a teasing brush of his hand against hers as he walked by, or an offhand comment laced with double meaning that made her pulse quicken. Jack was the kind of person who thrived on the thrill of the chase, and Liz had unwittingly become his favourite game.
What terrified her most was how much she liked it.
It wasn't long before she found herself sneaking off with Jack during her visits to the Hughes house.
"Luke's in the basement," Jack whispered one evening, appearing from the doorway of the guest room when Liz had been scrolling through her phone.
"And?"
"And I'm here," Jack's grin was all confidence, but his eyes held something deeper--something that kept Liz from brushing him off.
"That's a bad idea," she said, even as she let him close the door behind him.
"Probably. But you're not telling me to leave."
He knew exactly how to read her.
Before she could come up with a retort, he crossed the room and kissed her. It was hungry, insistent, and impossible to resist. Liz melted into him, her hands tangling in his hair as he climbed on top of her on the bed.
"Jack," she mumbled against his lips, his hands resting on her exposed midriff. "This is insane." She was desperately trying to ignore the heat coursing through her veins.
"Maybe, but it doesn't feel wrong... does it?"
She just pulled him back down by the collar of his t-shirt, pressing their lips together, ignoring the chuckle he let out at her eagerness.
~~
The guilt came later, after she'd put her clothes back on and fixed her hair, trying to find Luke.
"Lizzy, you're distracted," Luke said, passing a ball to her.
"What? No, I'm not," she lied, stopping it before it rolled into the grass.
Luke squinted at her, resting his stick on his shoulders. "Is this about that guy you were talking to a couple weeks ago? What was his name? Kyle?"
"What? No. Kyle was--he's nothing."
"Good," he said firmly, firing a puck into the net. "You deserve better than guys like him."
She swallowed hard, ignoring that she had just had sex with a 'guy like him.'
"You're too sweet, Lu," she forced a smile.
"Someone has to be," he shot back. "Speaking of which, if a dumbass like him ever tries anything, you'll tell me, right? I'm not afraid to throw hands if I have to."
"Sure, Lukey. You'll be the first to know."
~~
It wasn't just the stolen kisses and heated moments.
One night, Liz found herself sitting with Jack on the porch swing, the cool summer breeze making her shiver slightly. She'd come outside to clear her head and Jack had followed.
"Penny for your thoughts?" he asked, handing her his sweatshirt off his back.
Liz pulled it over her head, the scent of his cologne wrapping around her. "Just... thinking about life, I guess."
"Deep stuff," he teased.
"D'you ever feel like you're living two lives?"
"What do you mean?"
"Like, I have this life with Luke and your family, where everything's normal and comfortable. But then there's... this." She gestured vaguely between them.
"I get it. It's like when I'm on the ice versus when I'm off. On the ice, everything makes sense. Off... not so much."
"I didn't think you overthought things."
Jack laughed softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I don't show it, but yeah, I do sometimes."
Maybe there was more to Jack than the cocky, carefree persona he showed to the world.
"Thanks for the sweatshirt," she said, leaning a little closer to him.
Jack wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer. "Anytime."
~~
Luke remained oblivious to what was happening right under his nose, though Liz could feel the pressure mounting.
During another movie night, Jack sat on the sofa a little too close to Liz, his knee brushing hers. She stiffened, eyes darting to Luke, who was preoccupied with a bag of chips.
Jack smirked, clearly enjoying how it made her squirm, and draped an arm across the back of the couch.
"Jack, stop being weird," Luke said without looking up.
Jack laughed, shifting slightly but leaving his arm where it was.
"Lizzy, you okay?" Luke asked.
"Yeah, fine. Why?" she turned to look at him.
"Just... acting differently."
"Differently?"
"I don't know," he frowned. "Distracted. Are you sure you're not seeing that Kyle guy?"
Jack's jaw ticked.
"No! Of course not. I already told you that."
"Good. He sucks."
Liz let out a shaky breath, missing the grimace on Jack's face.
As she prepared to leave that night, Jack caught her arm near the door.
"You need to stop doing that," she hissed, glancing around to make sure nobody was nearby.
"Doing what?"
"You know what. You're going to get us caught."
Jack leaned in, his voice dropping to a low whisper. "Maybe I like seeing you squirm."
Liz glared at him, but her bright red cheeks betrayed her.
"Relax," he said, brushing some hair behind her ear. "I've got it all under control."
Liz wasn't so sure.
~~
The thrill of meeting up in secret was intoxicating, but the constant risk of discovery weighed heavily on her. Every time she stepped into the Hughes hous, her favourite place, she felt like she was one wrong move away from a disaster.
Jack seemed unfazed. The secrecy only seemed to amuse him.
"Morning, Liz," he said one Saturday as she entered the house.
Luke looked up from his breakfast. "You're here early."
She shrugged, grabbing a mug from the cabinet. "You told me to come by, remember?"
He grunted in acknowledgment, but his eyes drifted to Jack who was barely concealing a smirk.
"What're you so fucking happy about?"
"Nothing," Jack said innocently, his smirk only widenening as he chugged his milk.
Liz quickly turned her back to both of them, focusing on making her coffee the way she liked.
~~
The first time they almost got caught, it was Jack's fault.
Liz had stayed late at the Hughes, watching a game with Luke and some of his old teammates. Jack had wandered in halfway through (as usual), throwing jabs at Luke and stealing Liz's food.
By the time the game ended, Luke and his friends had disappeared to FaceTime someone else, leaving Liz and Jack alone.
"You staying over?" he asked.
Liz gave him a pointed look. "No, I'm leaving soon. Luke's just upstairs."
He leaned in. "That's never stopped you before."
Her cheeks flushed, and she shoved him away. "You're impossible."
"And yet you still like me anyway."
Footsteps came down the stairs and Jack leaned back, his expression turning neutral with incredible speed.
"You're still here?" Luke asked Liz.
"Yeah, I, uh, I'm just leaving now," she said quickly, standing up.
Jack gave her a small wink as she left, and she had to fight the urge to glare at him.
~~
The second close call was even worse.
Jack: You coming over? Liz: I'm literally outside, dipshit. But Luke's gonna kill you if he finds out Jack: Lukey won't notice. We'll play some music ;)
She sent a quick, flustered reply before shoving her phone in her pocket and heading inside.
An hour later, she was sitting with Luke on the basement floor when he grabbed her buzzing phone and frowned.
"What's this?" he held up the screen.
Jack's name was at the top of the text thread, the messages not visible because the phone was still locked.
"Oh... you know Jack, always being a shit stirrer," she shrugged.
Luke's face screwed up, tossing the phone back on the couch. "Such a fucking weirdo."
"Yep," she giggled.
~~
"You two have been acting weird lately," Luke said.
"What're you talking about?"
"You and Jack," he frowned. "He's always teasing you, and you get all... jumpy. It's not like you."
Liz forced a laugh. "Jack teases everyone."
"Yeah, but it's different with you," he continued. "It's almost like--"
He stopped mid-sentence, shaking his head. "Never mind. I'm just being paranoid. Right?"
She nodded, quickly steering the conversation in a different direction.
And despite the mounting tension, Liz and Jack continued to grow closer in ways she hadn't expected.
One night, after another hasty hookup in his room, Liz lay beside him, her head resting on his chest.
"This is crazy," she said, tracing patterns on his skin.
"What? Sneaking around?"
"All of it," she propped herself up on her elbow. "This isn't just... casual for me. I don't know if I can like keep this up if we're not... serious?"
Jack reached up to brush away the hair sticking to her forehead. "Who says it's not serious?"
She searched his face for any sign that it was just a cruel joke. "I've never seen you do serious with anyone before... and I've known you for my entire life... practically."
Jack sighed, his hand settling on her bare waist. "Didn't want to. Until now."
The sincerity in his voice made her heart ache, but it didn't erase the fear.
"What about Luke?"
Jack's jaw tightened. "I'll deal with Luke when the time comes. Right now, I just want you."
But the shadow of Luke's inevitable reaction loomed over them, a reminder that their time was running out.
~~
It was late and the rest of the house was quiet. Liz had been curled up in Jack's room for hours, tangled in his sheets, the two of them caught in that dreamy post-sex haze.
"You should go," Jack murmured, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Luke's gonna freak if you're here when he wakes up."
She groaned softly, burying her face in his chest. "You've been saying that for the past hour."
Jack grinned. "I like having you here. Sue me."
Liz rolled her eyes, sitting up reluctantly. "You're gonna get me killed."
Jack leaned back, hands folded behind his head. "Worth it."
She shook her head, pulling on her hoodie and trying to ignore Jack's hungry gaze that followed her around the room.
Quietly, she opened the door and stepped into the dim hallway, closing it behind her as softly as she could. She had made it three steps when she froze, her heart plummeting to her feet.
Luke was standing at the other end of the hall, disbelief covering his face.
"Lizzy?"
"Luke, I--"
"What the hell are you doing?" His gaze flickered from her to Jack's closed door, realization dawning with horrifying clarity.
"Are you kidding me?" his voice rose, fists clenched at his sides. "Tell me this isn't what it looks like."
She opened her mouth, but no words came out.
Jack's door opened then, and Liz watched in horror as he stepped out, his expression calm.
"Luke," he started, but Luke cut him off, his face twisting in anger.
"Don't," Luke snapped. "Don't even try explaining your way out of this."
Liz had never seen Luke like this. In all their years of friendship, she'd never seen him so... angry.
"You," he pointed at Jack, his voice trembling. "You're supposed to be my brother. And you," he turned to Liz, his expression hurt, "you're my best friend. How could you?"
"Luke, it's not like that," she tried, her voice shaking. "It's not--"
"It's not what? A hookup?" he laughed bitterly, his eyes narrowing as he glared at Jack. "That's all it ever is with you, isn't it?"
Jack stepped forward. "It's not like that, Luke."
"Don't even try to defend yourself," Luke shot back. "You think I don't know you? You've spent your whole life treating girls like they're disposable. And now you're doing it to Lizzy?"
"She's not disposable."
Luke scoffed. "You expect me to believe that? You're just gonna toss her aside like everyone else when you get bored."
"That's not fair," Liz's voice trembled.
"Fair?" Luke looked to her, his eyes blazing. "Fair is me trusting you. Fair is you not sneaking around behind my back with him."
Liz flinched, tears stinging her eyes. "I didn't want to hurt you."
"Then you shouldn't have done it."
"I... I didn't plan for this to happen," her voice broke. "It just did, okay? And I didn't know how to tell you."
Luke shook his head, running his hands through his curls. "You should've told me the second it started. I could've handled that. But this?" He gestured between the two of them. "This is betrayal, Lizzy. From both of you."
"It's not what you think," she pleaded. "Jack isn't using me. He cares about me."
Luke barked a harsh laugh. "Oh, sure. Jack Hughes, the king of meaningless hookups, suddenly decides to care. Do you even hear yourself?"
"I care about her, Luke. A lot more than you think."
"Yeah? Then prove it. Because all I see is you doing what you always do--thinking about yourself."
Jack's jaw tightened, but he didn't respond.
Liz reached out, her hands trembling as she grabbed Luke's arm. "Luke, please. You're my best friend. I never wanted to hurt you."
Luke pulled away like she'd burned him with her touch. "You didn't just hurt me, Lizzy. You broke my trust."
She turned to Jack, silently pleading for him to say something that would fix this, but Jack looked just as lost as she felt.
Luke shook his head, backing away from both of them. "I need space. From both of you."
"Luke..." But he was already walking away, his footsteps heavy on the stairs.
Liz turned to Jack again, her tears spilling over. "What do we do now?"
"We give him time."
"What... what if he never forgives us?"
"He's your best friend, and he's my brother. He'll come around. Eventually."
Liz wasn't so sure.
~~
She spent the days following in a fog, her chest constantly tight with guilt. Luke hadn't spoken to her since the confrontation, her phone sitting silent, devoid of her normal texts from her best friend. The distance felt unbearable, a stark contrast to the years of effortless closeness they had shared.
Jack, while supportive, didn't press her. He gave her the space she wanted to process things, though he made it clear he wasn't going anywhere based off his brother's feelings.
"You know where to find me," he'd told her the last time they'd talked.
On the third day of her slump, she decided the silence had gone on long enough. She drove to the Hughes', her heartbeat matching her knocks on the door.
It was Ellen who answered, her smile faltering slightly when she saw Liz.
"Hi, sweetie," she stepped aside to let her in. "Luke's in the basement."
"Is he... okay?"
Ellen sighed. "He's upset, but he'll come around. Just give him time."
Liz nodded, breathing deeply as she made her way downstairs. Luke was on the couch, a hockey game playing on the TV. He glanced up when she walked in, his expression suddenly guarded.
"What do you want?" he asked, his voice flat.
Liz's throat tightened, but she forced herself to speak. "I want to fix this, Luke. I miss you. I miss us."
He looked away. "You should've thought about that before you started hooking up with Jack."
Her eyes stung. "It wasn't just a hookup. It's way more than that."
Luke scoffed. "That's what they all think with Jack. You're just another girl to me, Liz. You're better than that."
"No, I'm not," she said firmly. "You think you know Jack, but you don't see the side of him I do. He's not perfect, but he's trying. And he cares about me, Luke. This isn't just sex for him."
"It doesn't matter. You lied to me. You both did. How am I supposed to trust either of you after this?"
Liz tried... and failed to blink back tears. "I made a mistake by not telling you, Luke. But that doesn't mean I stopped caring about you. You're my best friend. You always will be. Please don't let my mistake ruin us."
For a long moment, he didn't respond. Then, with a heavy sigh, he turned off the TV and faced her.
"I need more time," he said quietly. "I can't forgive you that quickly, Lizzy. But I don't want to lose you either."
She nodded, her tears still falling. "Take the time you need, Lu."
~~
Later that evening, it was Jack's turn to face Luke's rage.
"You're really something, you know that?" Luke said, his arms crossed as he stood in the kitchen, glaring at his older brother.
"Look, I know I screwed up, okay? I should've told you the truth. But this thing with Liz--it's not a game, Luke. I care about her."
Luke's laugh was bitter. "Care about her? Since when do you care about anyone but yourself?"
"That's not fair," Jack snapped. "I've made mistakes in the past, yeah. But Liz isn't one of them."
"You don't get it, Jack! She's my best friend. She's like family to me. And you--you just take whatever you want without thinking about the consequences."
Jack stepped forward, his jaw tight. "You think this was easy for me? You think I didn't know how much it would hurt you if you found out? But I couldn't stop, Luke. I--"
"I love her," he finished.
"You love her?" Luke asked, an unreadable look on his face.
"Yeah... I do."
For a moment, Luke said nothing. Then he sighed, his shoulder slumping slightly.
"If you hurt her," he said lowly. "I'll never forgive you."
"I won't. I swear."
~~
"Luke and I talked," Jack said, letting Liz snuggle further into his side. "He's still pissed, but I think he's finally starting to come around."
Liz smiled faintly. "He said the same thing to me. I just hope he forgvies us someday."
"He will. I know Luke. You know Luke. He'll get there."
"Did you really mean it? What you told him?"
Jack frowned. "I... what did I tell him?"
Liz smirked. "Don't play dumb, pretty boy. About...lo--"
Realization dawned on his face, and he chuckled softly. "Yeah, I meant it. I love you, Liz."
Her breath hitched and he squeezed her hand. "I love you too!"
~~
It took a while, but eventually Liz and Luke were, well.... Liz and Luke again. They'd spend their free-time together just like they always had, making fun of horrible straight to Netflix movies and playing hockey in the driveway. They were best friends again, just as they were meant to be.
And slowly but surely, Luke came around to Jack and Liz being a couple. Jack had somehow proved his worth, whether it was through the way he supported Liz when she was down or how he already had every little detail about the girl memorized--her coffee order, her favourite book, what movies she watched when she was happy, sad, and the exact words she needed to hear when she was doubting herself.
It wasn't some grand gesture that that changed Luke's mind but a series of small everyday actions that proved Jack was serious. For the first time in his life, Jack wasn't just chasing a fleeting thrill or looking for a quick escape. He had found something real, someone he didn't just want--someone he was willing to fight for.
Luke still gave them grief from time to time, teasing Jack about being whipped or Liz about how much Jack was her regular type. But deep down, he was happy for them.
Because if there was one thing Luke cared about more than anything, it was that Liz was happy. And she was--truly, deeply, happier than he'd ever seen her.
And that was all that mattered.

-
The room smells like hot chocolate, cinnamon and a hint of Eddie’s cologne. The mug on the table that was filled to the brim is now halfway empty. A box of Christmas cookies that your mom gave him when he came by last night is in between the two of you. He hasn’t stopped munching on them since you started the movie; Halloween.
You couldn’t choose between Friday the 13th and Halloween so you let him pick.
After you let your friends know that you were leaving, you and Eddie went to the diner to eat something before you went back to his trailer after renting a few movies at Family Video.
“I can’t believe that this is your favorite movie,” Eddie says as he bites into the snowflake shaped cookie.
You turn to look at him. He is still wearing the same clothes as before just like you.
“Are you judging me?” You snort, swatting his arm. “You literally picked it.”
He chuckles and looks at you with a smirk, “I picked between the ones you chose.”
“You literally said that Halloween is one of your favorite movies!”
He shrugs, chewing the cookie before he speaks up again, “maybe I lied.”
You roll your eyes and lean back, “so what’s your favorite movie then, master of dungeons?”
The nickname makes him chuckle, he turns his head away from the screen, “Halloween.”
He laughs when you shake your head in disbelief, grabbing one of the pillows, you hit him with it, causing him to laugh harder.
“Dork.”
He snorts at you, “dork? What happened with the master of dungeons?”
You lean closer to him and look into his eyes with a serious look on your face, “he turned into a massive dork.”
“If I’m a dork then what are you?”
“A fairy witch,” you wink at him and reach for one of the cookies before you lean back.
His eyes flash with amusement, his lips curl into a smile, “right,” he laughs, “is the fairy witch gonna stay over tonight?”
You face him again, the cookie is still in your hand. There’s a knowing look in his eyes.
He knows your mom won’t be home tonight, she is working the night shifts this week and won’t be home until the morning. If there is one thing that Eddie had learned about you in the time you had become friends, is that you hate going to sleep when you are home alone, he doesn’t know why but he noticed your anxiety early on. He saw the tired look in your eyes in the mornings and he noticed how easily you would drift off to sleep when he came by after school to study. You would make up excuses when he’d ask you about it but he could see through you.
He doesn’t know the reasoning behind your fears but he understands it. When he was a kid, he was restless, he struggled to sleep at nights because of his dad, who usually came home late after spending the night drinking or doing drugs. Whenever Eddie would hear the front door opening, his heart would start racing and he would be on high alert – his dad always picked fights with his mom and all Eddie ever wanted to do was to protect her. But he was just a kid and his dad was a violent man.
Eddie couldn’t protect her.
When he moved in with Wayne, nothing changed for the first few months. He kept staying up at nights – the anxiety and the fear that always lingered kept him up. Whenever he would fall asleep, nightmares would wake him up. He would hear the trailer door being slammed open, he would hear his mom screaming, his dad yelling and hitting things. Eddie would wake in cold sweat, he would jump up from the bed and run out of the room to stop his dad from hitting her only to realize that the trailer door never opened, his dad never came in and his mom would never be there again.
He knows that you are struggling with something too but he would never push you to talk. He just wants to protect you.
“We could watch Friday the 13th and y’know, share a joint.”
You swallow.
“You don’t mind me staying over?”
Eddie frowns at your question and shakes his head, “why would I ask if I minded you staying over? You know you’re always welcome here, sweetheart.”
You smile at his words. Eddie always knows how to make you feel safe and comfortable. Heather and Chrissy make you feel that way too but it’s different with them. You love and appreciate them but there are things that you can’t say to them – not because you don’t trust them but because you wouldn’t be able to deal with their pitiful looks, it’s been bad enough already after he dumped you.
You aren’t the only one who refuses to speak about certain things. You know that Chrissy has a secret, one that Heather is keeping safe from you. It hurts a little because a part of you is scared that it might have something to do with you. Why else would they keep a secret from their best friend?
“Then I’d love to stay the night.”
He smiles, “cool.”
After you finish watching the movie, you carry the empty mugs and the box of cookies back into the kitchen. Eddie turns off the TV and reaches for the other movie tape before he leads you into his room. He turns on the small lamp on his nightstand and throws the tape on his bed. He walks over to his dresser and opens the top drawer.
“You know, the joint you mentioned earlier…” you mumble as you let yourself fall on his bed, curiously staring at the handcuffs that remain a mystery to you.
“You know, they should be calling you ‘the stoner’, not me,” he snorts. He turns back to you and hands you a shirt, he eyes you up and down, “here, that dress is pretty but it can’t be comfortable to sleep in,” he laughs.
“How kind of you,” you chuckle. You unfold the shirt, your eyes widen a little, “isn’t that your favorite one?”
He nods as he takes the chain around his neck off and places it on his nightstand.
“My favorite girl gets my favorite shirt,” he says, ruffling your hair as he winks at you.
You swat his hand away and laugh, “how many girls do you say that to, Eddie?”
He raises his brows and places his hand on his chest, “you think I’m bringing home girls? Did you forget who I am?” He laughs, shaking his head.
You furrow your brows. You drop the shirt on your lap and tilt your head to look at him.
You and Eddie haven’t been friends for long but you feel comfortable with each other – comfortable enough for him to take his shirt off in front of you. He throws it over his chair, he stands there shirtless for a second, scratching the spot around his new tattoo. He is just your friend but you are not blind, Eddie is pretty in a way no other guy at school is – except for Steve.
“You’re saying that you don’t bring any girls home?” You ask as you carefully pull the straps of your dress down your arms before you put the shirt on. Too lazy to get up and change in the bathroom, you take the dress off after pulling the shirt down to your thighs.
He puts on a black tank top and closes the drawer. “And no, I don’t bring any girls home. I’m a freak, nobody wants me.”
“Don’t say that,” you frown.
“Well, it’s the truth,” he chuckles as he drops down on the bed beside you after getting the pre rolled joint and a lighter, “girls don’t want me and honestly, I don’t care. I wouldn’t want to bring random girls home anyways.”
You raise your brows in surprise, it makes him chuckle but his eyes flash with confusion.
“What?”
“You actually wouldn’t bring home girls?” You ask. “Like, not even if they were throwing themselves at you?”
“You mean if I was popular?” He snorts.
You nod.
He shakes his head, he scoots closer to you and offers you the joint. You take it in between your fingers and bring it up towards your mouth, wrapping your lips around it, you look at him expectedly, nudging your chin towards the lighter in his hand. He holds it up to the joint and flicks the lighter, holding the flame against the bud of the joint. You inhale and close your eyes.
Eddie chuckles and pats your back when you open your eyes and exhale the smoke without coughing this time.
“Like a real stoner.”
“Shut up,” you chuckle and offer him the joint which he takes right away. He places it in between his lips and lies back, tucking his arm behind the pillow. He looks up at the ceiling and sighs after exhaling the smoke. For a moment, it’s silent between the two of you.
You stand up and place your dress over the back of his chair after folding it. You turn on the TV before you plop back down on the bed.
“I won’t lie to you, I’ve hooked up with uh – maybe three girls but they didn’t bother sticking around, they wouldn’t even look at me afterwards, they looked disgusted, every single one of them. I-I don’t know what I was thinking, I was hoping that it would be different each time but they were the same, all of them. The sex was good but uh I honestly don’t see the point of it if they don’t bother sticking around or if there’s no actual meaning behind it.”
Your heart breaks for him. You can imagine what he must have felt like when they treated him that way. You can see the sadness in his eyes, even when he tries to mask it.
You scoot closer to him and reach for his hand, his eyes meet yours and he smiles at you.
“You deserve better Eddie,” you whisper, squeezing his hand. “They were stupid cunts.”
A laugh falls from his lips, he tries to mask the hurt in his eyes with amusement but you can see through him, just like he can see through you.
“You know, Steve wouldn’t look at me either, sometimes. He just uh, he would fuck me, he would finish and then he would pass out. He rarely ever held me or kissed me, he almost never said ‘I love you’ either.”
Eddie frowns at your words. He isn’t shocked but he is angry.
“It hurt so bad because I loved him so much and all I wanted was for him to just hold me and tell me that he loves me but he didn’t and it made me overthinking everything,” you mumble as you blink the tears away, “and then there was Tommy who always said how men need new partners all the time, how they get bored with their girlfriends and I was praying that that wasn’t the case for Steve, that the reason why he never held me or kissed me was because he was just bad at being affectionate and romantic but then he agreed with what he said even though I was right there and it uh, it hurt, really fucking bad. I kinda lied to myself though, I kept telling myself that he did love me, that he didn’t get bored with me but then he left me for her and he changed for her so uh, I figured that Tommy was right all along.”
Eddie scoffs, he shakes his head at your words, “that’s not true, sweetheart.”
“It’s not?” You ask as you look back up at him.
“No. Tommy is a shittalker and Steve is an idiot – like a real idiot,” Eddie says as his eyes widen. He laughs a little, it’s a humorless laugh but a laugh nonetheless. “He was a piece of shit for not treating you the way you deserve to be treated but I think that he is one of those guys who lets his friends words get to him, who feels pressured to keep his reputation as some fucking heartbreak King rather than be a good boyfriend.” He looks like he knows something that you don’t. “He’s also the type of guy who doesn’t know what he has until it’s gone.”
“That makes sense,” you say even though you are not sure whether it actually makes sense or not. He almost kissed you and then he told you that he still loves you, that he always loved you only to show up to the dance with Nancy, like nothing ever happened.
Eddie stares at you. Your brows are furrowed and you have that same confused and lost look in your eyes that you always have whenever you get lost in your thoughts.
“Hey uh, I should probably tell you something,” he says as he sits up. He scratches the back of his neck and offers you the joint. You take it but don’t smoke it yet.
“What’s up?”
He runs his fingers through his curls and he takes a deep breath, “I drove him home last night.”
“Huh?”
He sighs, “Steve. I drove him home last night. I went to the Hideout to get my notebook and he was there getting plastered. He followed me outside and started asking about the jacket,” he mumbles, pointing to the jacket that is now back in his room again. “He got all pissed and jealous.”
You roll your eyes and scoff at his words.
“He calmed down when I told him we’re friends but uh, he tried to leave and I would’ve felt awful letting him drive home like that so I drove him home.”
A smile tugs at your lips, Eddie’s kindness is something that always warms your heart. To know that he is showing such kindness to people who don’t deserve it just proves even more how amazing he is.
“He started crying.”
A shocked expression takes over your face and you draw back a little, “what?”
“Yeah,” Eddie chuckles as he shakes his head. “He uh– well, first he insulted my music taste and then I turned on the radio for him, David Bowie came on and boom, I have a sobbing King Steve in my van.”
“Oh,” you whisper, your gaze softens. “David Bowie?”
“Mhmm.” He reaches for the joint again and places it between his lips, taking a drag before he places it into the ashtray on his nightstand. “Heroes.”
Your lips part and your face falls. It was your song. Yours and his. To know that it has such a hold on him still, makes you feel things that you want to keep buried.
You push yourself up and sit in front of him, “then what?”
Eddie’s brown eyes soften, he can see the pain in your features, the love that you still have for him. He can’t imagine how much pain there still is. He clears his throat.
“He said he misses you, that he doesn’t know what to do without you and that he wants you back.”
Your eyebrows draw together and your eyes feel hot with tears. Your heart hurts. After all, you still want him, deep down you do but you won’t take him back, not after everything he did. Not after the way he treated you, not after he cheated on you emotionally, not after he made you doubt everything, not after he told you that he never loved you, not after he left you for another girl.
You look down to hide the tears in your eyes. After almost two months, you should be feeling better, you were starting feeling better but then he had to rip the bandaids of your wounds that he had given you.
You don’t like crying in front of other people, you have never cried in front of Eddie before  but right now, you can’t really stop the tears from falling. It’s all just too much.
“Hey,” Eddie whispers. His eyes soften and he doesn’t even hesitate before he opens his arms for you, offering you a hug that you so desperately need. You crawl over to him and let yourself fall into his arms. He wraps his arms around you as you lay your head on his chest. He rubs your back gently. “I’m here, I got you.”
You close your eyes and melt into the hug, this is what you needed.
This is what he never gave you. The feeling of comfort and safety. The feeling of knowing that he won’t push you away again after a few minutes.
You loved Steve – you love him. He was there but he was never with you. His mind was somewhere else, it always was. He gave you moments but he never gave you his all. With him you were never alone but god, you were so lonely.
Eddie keeps holding you. The sound of your cries and the voices in the TV fill the silence in the room.
He keeps rubbing your back, he plays with your hair and he doesn’t let go.
Why couldn’t he just hold you like he does?
“I know that this won’t make anything better but I think he loves you and he is starting to realize what he lost – only a man in love would get drunk at a bar he hates and break down in front of a guy he hates, also.”
You sniffle and grip his shirt tighter.
“Then why is he still with her? Why didn’t he love me before?”
“I think he always loved you, he was just too dumb to see and she,” he pauses, sighing. “She’s probably just a rebound now. Honestly, I think he was scared of all of this, his love for you. He was scared of it so he just threw it away and fucked it all up and now he’s following you around like some lost puppy.”
He does look like one, with his stupid brown eyes and the sad look in them.
“Why are you telling me this, Eddie?”
He takes a deep breath, he looks down at you but you hide your face as you wipe your tears away.
“I don’t know, I just think that he made a mistake and that the pain he put himself through shaped him into a different person,” he says, still glancing down at you, “I know you think that she changed him but that’s not the truth. I think he changed because of you – he’s still a dick and I don’t think that he deserves you but for what it’s worth, he does love you and he did love you even when he didn’t act that way but I saw the way he looked at you.”
You sniffle, trying to control your breathing as you look up at him, “what do you mean?”
His eyes soften and he hugs you even tighter, “when you were still together, he always looked at you like.. shit, like you hung the moon and the stars,” he chuckles. “I was shocked when I found out that he left you for some other girl. Made no sense to me, still doesn’t, by the way.”
You don’t know whether his words make you feel better or worse.
Eddie’s brown eyes are filled with sincerity and softness.
He can’t understand how Steve could do this to you. How he could just treat you so horribly and break your heart so easily.
“I think he really wants you back but I don’t think that he deserves a second chance, not yet.”
“Not yet?”
“I’m not gonna say that he will ever deserve one but maybe–” he pauses, he sighs as he watches the tears rolling down your cheeks, “maybe he will change and maybe he will fight for you and maybe it will be worth giving him that chance.”
You scrunch your face up and slowly shake your head, “I can’t.”
“You don’t have to,” he says as he squeezes your arms, “it’s just, I can see that you love him and as much as I don’t like him or the idea of you going back to him, he really loves you too – it would be a shame if you both spend the rest of your lives longing for each other when you could just be together.”
“What would you do?” You ask. You place your palms against his chest and you lean your chin on the top of your hands. “If you were in my place.”
He blinks and he stares at you for a long moment.
“I would just focus on myself for now,” he mumbles. He reaches his hand out to touch your hair, running his fingers through it, “I would find things that I enjoy doing – not what I was forced to enjoy.”
You look down and sigh.
“I would try out new things, focus on school and I know that you will snatch that diploma, I’d get the hell out of here after that. Maybe in the future, you and Steve will find your way back to each other or maybe you will meet someone who will love you the way you deserve to be loved,” he says.
You’re met with a soft look in his eyes when you raise your head to face him again. You smile at him.
“You will snatch that diploma too, Eddie. I’ll help you.”
“I know you will,” he smiles.
“And then we should get out of here together – we should move to LA so you can become the rockstar that you’re meant to be. We can rent a place together, I always wanted to live with a friend.”
He laughs at your words but then he falls quiet and his eyes flash with something you can’t read.
“You know that might be a good idea.”
“I know it is.”
“Shit,” he chuckles, “we should actually do that.”
“Right?”
“Right,” he smiles.
“And what will you be?” He asks, turning his head to look at you as you lie back beside him.
You lick your lips and stare at the new poster on his ceiling. What do you want to be? Who do you want to be?
You furrow your brows in concentration, a weird feeling settles in your chest. You don’t know. You don’t know anything, it seems like. Who even are you?
“I-I’m not sure.”
Eddie can sense the stress you’re feeling, he takes your hand in his, “hey, it’s okay. You don’t have to know yet.”
“I just.. I don’t even know what I want, Eddie,” you whisper, “I don’t even know who I am.”
You turn back to him, your sad eyes meet his. He squeezes your hand.
“You’ll figure it out, I know you will and I’ll be there with you.”
You maintain eye contact and scoot closer to him as you turn on your side.
“You’re the best, Eddie.”
His eyes shift as he stares at you, he turns on his side as well, “nah, you are the best,” he smiles, tapping your nose the way he always does.
“Don’t tell Heather or Chrissy but you might be my new best friend.”
His eyes light up at your words and his smile widens, “only if you don’t tell Gareth and Jeff that you are my new best friend.”
Your eyes widen, a giggle falls from your lips, “your secret is safe with me.”
“Yours is safe with me too.”
“Pinky promise?” You ask as you hold your hand out to him.
He laughs and brings his hand up, hooking his pinky around yours, “pinky promise.”
You both fall silent as you look at each other with smiles on your faces.
“Shit, who would’ve thought that I’d ever have the queen of Hawkins High in my bed.”
“Shut up,” you laugh.
For the rest of the night, you and Eddie talk about your lives after high school, dreaming about things that might never happen but it doesn’t matter, all that matters is the laughs you both share. You watch Friday the 13th and continue passing the joint back and forth, only making each other laugh harder by making fun of the movie that isn’t even funny.
You are grateful for Eddie and for the love and kindness he is giving you. He has become your little beacon of hope. He is the one who makes you laugh now, he is the one who holds you when you need it the most, he is the friend that everything feels so natural with – even falling asleep in his arms when you’re in nothing but panties and his shirt. You wouldn’t have done that with any other guy but he makes you feel safe.
When you wake up in his arms the next morning, you feel lost and confused for a second. His arms are wrapped around your waist and your head is on his chest, you can hear his heartbeat. For a moment, you thought you were somewhere else, in someone else’s arms but when you open your eyes and you are met with Eddie’s sleeping face, you relax a little.
You can’t help but smile as you look at him.
If Steve didn’t dump you, you wouldn’t be here. You would be in his bed right now. But you wouldn’t feel his arms around you, you wouldn’t feel his warmth, you wouldn’t feel him. You would wake up to a harsh reality, one where you continuously lied to yourself in order to keep him and to keep yourself happy. But were you ever happy?
You miss him, despite what happened, you still miss him.
But maybe it was for the better.
Maybe it had to happen this way.
You wouldn’t have Eddie now. You would have never become friends. And now, you wouldn’t trade this for anything in this world. This friendship has given you more than your relationship with Steve ever did.
Yet, you still need closure. You want answers and a peaceful conversation.
So you make the decision to try it. To try and talk and sort things out. You let go of him but there are still so many things that you don’t understand, things that will never give you if you don’t sit down and have that much needed conversation with him.
When you show up at his house, later that night. You didn’t expect to see his parents' car in the driveway, next to his. You stand in the darkness for a moment, contemplating whether you should actually ring the doorbell or not. The lights are on in the kitchen and in the dining room.
What if she is here?
What if they are having dinner together?
Is she sitting in your spot now?
Does his mom like her the way she always liked you?
Does his dad hug her the way he hugged you whenever he saw you?
You close your eyes and you take a deep breath, inhaling the cold air. You try to calm your heartbeat. Was it a good idea to come here? What if he doesn’t want to see you? What if–
You open your eyes and walk up the stairs, you ring the doorbell before your mind can convince you to turn on your heel and run. You can hear the faint sound of music in the house.
You dig your nails into your palms as you grow more and more nervous. You bounce your knee and stare down at the snow beneath your boots.
The door opens and you raise your head, for some reason you had expected Steve’s dad to open the door but instead it’s him. You watch as his eyes widen, they lighten up a little but they also flash with confusion.
“Hi, can we talk?”

Space Heater T | 418 words Prompt for @steddielovemonth: Love is letting him put his cold hands under your shirt and only complaining a little bit
"Jesus Christ, why is it so cold in here? I'm gonna freeze my balls off."
"Lovely mental image," Robin replies, face scrunched up in disgust.
Steve rolls his eyes, continuing to restack the shelf.
"Nice view."
He glances back, realising that Eddie is staring at him, as he bends down to the lower shelf.
"Eyes here, soldier," Robin says, snapping her fingers at him. "What do you want?"
"I can't bother my favourite workplace duo on a Friday evening?"
"Not when it has the boss breathing down our necks. It's bad enough that he's a cheap bastard, not letting us turn the heating on, we don't need a lecture as well."
"Why doesn't he just ban me?"
"You're a paying customer," Steve says, finally stepping back to the till, leaning against it. "You're an 'important part of the ecosystem'."
"I've only got one thing from here and I stole it."
"What the boss says goes," Robin says.
"That's bullshit."
He steps to the side, so he's behind Steve, and wraps an arm around his waist. He uses it to hold him still long enough to snake his other arm under his shirt.
"Dude," Steve complains.
"What? You're warm."
He rolls his eyes, but makes no move to push him away. Not even when he moves his other arm under his shirt too, pressing up against his back.
"You should quit or something," Eddie says, voice a little muffled from how his face is pressed against Steve's shoulder. "This place is hell."
"It pays," Steve points out. "And we are looking. There's not a lot of places that are open to our two package deal."
Eddie hums, slowly starting to rock them both side to side.
"Steve has work," Robin points out.
"Mm, I'm sure he does."
"Work that doesn't involve you clinging onto him like a koala bear."
"I don't hear him complaining."
"That's because he's a touch-starved dork."
"Hey-" Steve tries, but is soon interrupted by Eddie.
"Just because he loves me," he teases, squeezing Steve a little tighter and moving his head so his chin rests on Steve's shoulder.
"He loved me first!"
"Platonically."
"Exactly, we're like siblings- no, soulmates. I'm top of the food chain, Munson, get with it."
"Oh my god," Steve sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I won't love either of you if you don't cut the shit."
"'M sorry, big boy," Eddie immediately mumbles, pressing his face into his neck.
"Sorry," Robin adds, though she doesn't sound apologetic at all.

heyyy, how are you?? i love your work so much!!! i was wondering if you could write something about steve having a crush on r, but when they are together he gest shy and quiet and r misunderstands that and thinks he doesn't like her like everyone is telling her he is ???
im sorry if its confusing, english is not my first language,, anywayy feel free to change anything !!! ❤️
hi baby thank you so much!!! i’m so sorry this has been in my asks since september but i hope u enjoy all the same :,) i finally wrote something!!! yay!!! | 0.7k teeny tiny angst and fluff!!
You’re pretty sure Steve Harrington doesn’t like you. That’s what you tell Robin when you see her at the Family Video counter, alone for once. She bursts out laughing.
“I’m being serious!”
Before Robin responds, Steve walks out of the back room, grinning that grin you wish you didn’t love so much, his hair a little messy, like he didn’t have enough time to style it this morning the way he usually does.
He’s looking at Robin when he says: “what’s so funny?”
“I bet you’d love to know, dingus.” She nods at you and shrugs, “it’s girl stuff.”
It’s only then that he notices you’re there, his eyes flicking over your face quickly, his head ripping in a small nod. You might not have noticed it if you weren’t looking right at him already.
“Oh, right.” He smiles again, tight-lipped this time. “Hey.”
“Hi, Steve.”
“Hey,” he says again.
Yeah, you’re pretty sure Steve Harrington doesn’t like you, because this is what happens whenever you’re around. He goes quiet, awkward, where others have always found him outgoing and kind.
You suppose it only makes things worse when you want him to like you so bad. If only as a friend, even.
“Um, I was just grabbing…” You flounder before picking up a random movie by the front desk, “this.”
“Right,” he scratches the back of his neck as he says it.
Meanwhile Robin’s head is turning to look between the two of you like it’s a tennis match. You widen your eyes at her and she gets the signal, scanning your movie and letting you head out with it when she knows you’ll be returning it before even opening the case.
“You’re such an idiot,” she says to Steve as the door shuts behind you, the bell jingling with your departure.
“Robin-”
“No! You are, Steve. Listen, you know I love you, but she thinks you don’t like her. At all!”
Now, Steve knows that he acts like an absolute dork wherever you’re concerned, but he never wanted you to think that. Never. If anything, he likes you more than he’s ever liked anyone before, and it terrifies him.
Any ounce of the confidence that’s left over from his ‘King Steve’ era seems to evaporate, and the words just don’t come the way they should. But fuck, he didn’t want to hurt you. He’d never want to hurt you.
“Shit,” he runs a hand through his hair, uncaring about how it might look for once.
“Yeah, shit.” Robin nudges her shoulder against his, “she’s still in her car, by the way. Just saying.”
Steve nods, muttering some kind of encouragement for himself under his breath. He pushes his way out the door, picking up his pace to a jog when he hears you start your car.
The knock on your window startles you, surprises you when you look over to find Steve standing out there, the sun a halo around his figure, his Family Video vest just a little crooked.
You shut your car off and roll your window down, squinting up at him, “Steve? Everything okay?”
“I do like you.”
“What?”
His chest is rising and falling quickly, his eyes wide and something like worry looming in them. “I do like you.”
“Steve, did Robin put you up to this? ‘Cause you don’t have to-”
“She didn’t. I promise she didn’t,” he leans down a little, his hands resting on your door. “She told me you thought I didn’t like you and I couldn’t let you leave still thinking that. I like you. A lot.”
You blink up at him, mouth opening and closing, trying to figure out what to say. For so long, you’d been convinced that he wasn’t a fan of yours, and here he is, sincerity written all over his face.
“You never talk to me, I thought-”
“I know. I know and I’m sorry.” Steve hangs his head for a second, inhaling once before looking at you again. “The truth is I, uh, have a crush on you. Probably more than a crush, and I didn’t know what to do with it so I acted like a fucking idiot.”
“You have a crush on me?”
“Yeah, I do. Kind of a big one.”
You can’t fight the smile on your face at that. “I have a crush on you too, Steve.”
It’s the first time you make Steve Harrington blush, the first genuine smile of his that you earn. And it won’t be the last.

𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐘 — twelve: I’m sure lots of people would want to be friends with you
𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. lee heeseung x fem!reader, park sunghoon x fem!reader
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲. Y/N always knew that her high school was dominated by wealth and privilege. Upon having a one night stand with popular athlete Lee Heeseung, she uncovers that Heeseung's friend group controls not only social dynamics but also school policies and local affairs, revealing a hidden world of power and manipulation behind their so called perfectly polished exteriors

“So, what’s wrong?” Riki puts down his chopsticks, looking directly into your eyes.
“What do you mean?”
He scoffs. “I mean, you wouldn’t just drive me to eat noodles at 9pm at night.”
“I can’t drive you to eat for some sibling bonding time?” You furrow your eyebrows.
“You know that’s not it.”
You sigh. “Fine. Someone sent me a picture of Giselle with Heeseung.”
“Heeseung? You mean the guy you keep fawning over in your spam?”
“That’s Sunghoon.”
Riki throws his hands in the air exasperatedly. “I don’t keep up with these Korean dudes you like noona.”
“Noona?” Your eyes widen at that. “You’re already using Korean phrases?”
Your little brother smiled sheepishly, rubbing his neck in an awkward manner. “Yeah, first day of school I made a friend who was also a foreigner. Her name’s Danielle.”
No fucking way.
“Danielle?” Your mouth runs dry, but you don’t want to ruin things for your brother. He’s made a new friend, and Danielle doesn’t seem half as bad as Hanni.
“Why? Is there a problem with her?”
You shake your head quickly. “No. As long as she’s nice to you then I’m happy for you.”
Riki nods, picking up his chopsticks to dig into his ramen bowl once again. “You need to take me out every weekend.”
“Who said?”
“Mom!”
The next day at school had Lee Heeseung dreading his entire life. Not only were things awkward ever since he told Hanni he’s loved her, but you were still ignoring him.
And as a cherry on top, he had quite literally had a meltdown in your best friend’s arms, who, despite reassuring him it wasn’t embarrassing, still made him feel like the biggest loser of them all.
“Hey guys,” Heeseung says, making his way over to Seojun.
The boy clears his throat awkwardly, looking at everywhere else but Heeseung.
“Hey Hee.” At least Danielle was kind enough to greet him. She was always like that, kind and bubbly. It’s a real shame Heeseung and her were under what felt like a dictator friendship.
“Hey man, we were talking last night and uh,” Seojun scratches his neck awkwardly. “We think it’s best if you take a break from our group, you know, for just a little while.”
Heeseung swears his heart just drops at that moment. All the way to the ground.
“What? Why?”
He notices how Hanni looks at her newly polished nails while Seojun and Danielle both have a slumped look on their faces.
“Well you’re kind of the most emotional person we’ve ever met.” Sunghoon says, and Heeseung has to stop himself from letting out a huge scoff because who the fuck does Park Sunghoon think he is?
Heeseung knew all of them first. Heeseung was friends with all of them first, and now Sunghoon was speaking for the rest of them and essentially kicking him out of his own group of friends?
“And no offense, but you’re really ruining the group dynamic.”
He was ruining the group dynamic? Him? After all he’s done to keep the friendship in tacked, after all he’s done to make sure his feelings for Hanni didn’t get in the way of his friendship with Sunghoon, after he let Hanni slam the dork in his face so she wouldn’t feel weird about his confession? He was the one that ruined the group dynamic?
“So you’re blowing me off just because of that?”
Seojun puts his hands on Heeseung’s shoulder, which should bring comfort, but it only feels like burns being printed on his skin. “Once you get over this sad emotional phase, I’m sure lots of people would want to be friends with you.”
Heeseung now scoffs, eyes rolling to the back of his head from the nonsense that he was hearing. “Fine. This is what you want, right? Hanni? Danielle?”
Danielle doesn’t say anything, she just frowns and looks away.
“It’s for the best.” Hanni says. “It’s not like it’s permanent Hee.”
“Don’t call me that.” Heeseung turns around, practically radiating anger as he walks away from the group.
He doesn’t look where he’s going, too blinded by the hurt he felt at his own friends’ words.
Suddenly hit by another body, Heeseung falls backwards, slamming into the floor.
“Oh my God—I am so sorry,” he mutters out, grabbing the textbook of the person he bumped into on the floor.
“It’s okay really,”
He knows that voice. He fucking knows it.
“Y/N?”
You cringe at the realization that you’ve just bumped into Lee Heeseung, and almost as if he knows you’re going to try to leave him, he holds onto your wrist.
“Please, let me talk to you.”
“I’m busy.” You say, eyes scanning the room for your friends. “Heeseung, let go.”
“No, please. Just let me talk to you for 5 minutes, I’ll leave you alone forever after that if that’s what you want.”
You sigh, watching his defeated eyes bore into yours. No matter how much it hurt that night at the Gala when you saw Heeseung leave with Hanni, you still have feelings for him buried underneath you.
“Okay.” You say, and that’s enough to make Heeseung’s heartbroken face turn into a smiling one.
“Thank you Y/N, thank you.”
And who knows, maybe this would be the biggest mistake of your life, but whatever happens, happens.

Eddie has strong feelings for Steve. Feelings he thought he had gotten rid of once Steve rescued him from hell. His hatred of him didn't even make sense, even before all of this. So, because he's a jock he has to be a jerk like all the rest? Eddie had made an assumption about him and Lucas just like they made about him. He hated that he had done that. It hadn't been his proudest moment. Now, those frustrating feelings are resurfacing, which is ridiculous because not only is he a good guy, but he is also a complete dork as well and he's so fucking great with the kids. He should be happy that he's friends with him, so why does his stomach feel like there's a bird trying to get out of its cage when he looks at Steve?
"Eddie, man, why are you scowling at me?" Steve asked.
He was hanging out with Steve, Robin, and Robin's girlfriend, Vickie. It was supposed to be a nice, casual get-together. Of course, Eddie had to ruin it.
"I hate you!" Eddie burst out.
There was silence in the living room as everyone stared at him. Steve looked hurt. Robin looked angry, and if Vickie wasn't holding her back, Eddie was sure she would rip out his throat with her bare hands.
"What?" Steve asked.
"It doesn't make any sense why I do, though!" Eddie burst out. "Because you're a great guy! Fantastic even! When I look at you, I get these feelings in my chest that annoy the fucking shit out of me. Everything about you is so fucking perfect like a goddamn prince out of a storybook! With your perfect hair, your perfect eyes, and your perfect teeth. My God, you're even great with the kids! When you talk about going out on dates, I hate that, too! I know you're just trying to do that to get over Nancy. Speaking of Nancy, I like her and all, but when I think about you two together, it makes my fucking skin scrawl! What the fuck is that? I mean, I like Nancy, but fuck, the idea of you two together makes me want to rip off my own eyebrows and eat them! Jesus H Christ! There's no reason for me to hate you, and yet somehow . . . Wait, why are you guys laughing?"
Vickie was giggling into Robin's shoulder while Robin laughed into a pillow. Steve was laughing with his hands over his eyes.
"He's so cute!" Vickie laughed.
"Why are you guys laughing at me?" Eddie asked. "Stop it!"
"You poor Dingus!" Robin laughed.
"What?!" Eddie asked.
"You like me, Eddie," Steve said.
"Yeah, I like you, but I also seem to hate you," he sighed.
"No, I mean, you like me," Steve said, standing up.
"You said that already," Eddie replied.
"Alright, can I do something so I can get my point across?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, do whatever you want to me, man," Eddie said and Steve grinned widely.
"Within reason, Steven!" Robin exclaimed.
Steve cupped his face and kissed him. Eddie gasped, a jolt of what felt like electricity shot through him. He liked it. The kiss was short and to the point. Steve pulled away.
"Oh, I like you! Oh, thank God! I thought I hated you! Wait, am I gay? No, I still like like girls. . .hold on, give me a minute," Eddie said, raising his finger to do invisible math in the air.
"You like this man, Steve?" Robin asked as they watched Eddie erase something.
"Oh, yeah," Steve replied.
"I've never actually seen someone figure out their sexuality before," Vickie said.
"Oh, I had a chance to do that with Steve. It was a wonderful experience. Definitely a lot less stupid than this," Robin said.
"I like both!" Eddie exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "And I like you!"
"I like both too, Eddie, and I like you too," Steve laughed. "I'm bisexual."
"Bi - sex - u - al," Eddie said like, drawing out the words, and he shook his head from side to side as if rolling the word around in his head. "Yes! Me too! Bisexual! Does this mean this is a double date now?"
Steve grinned, sat down on the love seat, and pulled him into his lap.
"Definitely," Steve said.
"Let me tell you, I feel this huge relief now that I know I like you," Eddie said. "I can't believe I thought I hated you!"
"Dingus!" Robin giggled.
"How long are you guys going to laugh at me about this?" Eddie pouted as Steve shook with laughter beneath him.
"Forever!"
Eddie buried his head into Steve’s neck as he laughed with them, sighing in contentment when Steve kissed his forehead.

cassian x reader
part three
summary: when cassian meets reader, he doesn't think past her privileged life. but what if there is more behind her appearance? what if, who she really is, is meant to meet with him on a cold night at the court of nightmares for a reason?
Feeling tears roll down your face, you jump into his arms.
Of course he knows.
Your mate.
You gently pull away from the tight embrace. You have to find his eyes. Find something that can hold you to this earth. And so you watch each other. Silent, no words needed.
At least no coherent words. “We are mates,” you mumble in disbelief, the words running from your mind to your lips.
“We are,” he smiles lovingly.
You smile back. “So what now?”
He lets out a youthful laugh and sets you down on the floor delicately. He turns his face to you again, and his expression is softer, as if he’s thoughts had met yours.
You are mates. You are bounded. Together.
“Well, I think now we have forever,” he states evidently.
Forever.
You beam, shocked in a thrilling and heart-melting feeling. ‘Forever’ is too serious to be in the same sentence with ‘Cassian’, a male you barely know.
Where does he live?
What’s his favorite color?
His favorite animal?
You realize you had lost yourself in your stupid thoughts when his rough hand softly takes your chin to look up at him instead of the ground.
He reads you well. And you read him well, as if you both knew your souls like the back of your hands. And you find peace in that knowledge. You find peace in the reassuring look in his eyes.
You could memorize all the trivial facts and characteristics of a person and never know them as well as you know a stranger whose soul is intertwined with your own.
Yes, it’s scary. But it is also exciting. You will have forever to get to know him better.
You cannot wait to start eternity with him. With Cassian.
‘We have forever,’ he had said…
“Maybe we should start with something simpler,” you reply playfully.
He chuckles. “Yes. You are going to meet my family first.” The male must have sensed the anxiety in your eyes, for he quickly adds, “Is that not reasonable? You have not to-”
You nervously excuse yourself, “It is - No! It’s more than reasonable. It’s just that… Well, what if they don’t like me?”
He bursts out laughing.
You just stare at him. Wordless as you take in his scoffing. It’s hard to keep a serious look when his laugh is so contagious. Nonetheless, once he notes your straight face, he tries to cover his smile and explains, “What - you scared me there. I thought you didn’t want to meet them. I feared for your life. And mine.”
You open your mouth, astonished, waiting for his teasing smile. No smile. “You feared for our lives?”
“My family would do terrible things if I didn’t present my wife properly to them. The High Lord is not to be messed with. And his cousin…” He pretends to cover his face in fear. “And don’t get me started with the spymaster. You’ve probably heard of Azriel - be careful with that one. It’s a relief you were just being a timid little thing about meeting them.”
What?
Your mate considers his family the High Lord and his cousin, and a Spymaster. His family is not blood, you guess, and you totally understand. You don’t even like considering your father by blood your family, true, but it’s still odd. You make a mental note for later to ask him about it. When the proper moment comes.
Because now your thoughts are elsewhere; in teaching your mate manners.
He tries really hard to contain his laughter when you pretend to be furious. Maybe you are a bit. “First. I hope you are kidding about your violent family. Second. Timid little thing? Dare you speak to your mate that way again, and I will be the one doing terrible things.”
“I was going to go for timid dork but you-”
“Cassian,” you bark as you poke him in the chest. He is unmoved. And giggly.
“Sorry,” he mutters, still smiley. “I won’t call you a timid little thing again, if you agree to meeting my family.” You smirk triumphant; you can accept that. “Tonight.”
Your eyebrows shoot up. “What? Tonight?”
“Tonight,” he replies plainly. “I fly you to our house. I show you the place. I call my friends when you are ready. We eat dinner. I take you to my room.” You turn visibly read as he continues. “And I read you a chapter of a book - what in all hells were you thinking about, love?” he asks loudly, making you want to dig yourself a grave and stay there.
You will strangle him.
But before the opportunity is given, he takes you in his arms, lifts you up and looks at you intensely as you swallow a panicked scream.
“Say yes,” he pleads.
“I-”
“Please, love.”
“Yes.”
And strong wind hits you in every centimeter of your skin as he takes off flying.
…
“I will surely lend you a dress. And lucky for you, I know just which one will be perfect for you,” the gorgeous female tells you as she leaves for said gown.
It’s been about ten minutes since you arrived to the Hose of Wind. Ten minutes since Morrigan befriended you and treated you like you had known each other for a lifetime.
You enjoy her presence. But not enough to ignore that you miss your mate, who had stayed in the living room to wait upon the others' arrival. The though of yet more people to meet makes you again anxious. They are not just people. They are Cassian’s family. If you made them hate you…
“They will adore you,” Morrigan says as she returns to you, now with a stunning red dress in her hands.
“What?” you mumble.
“Azriel and Rhys. They will love you.”
You prayed they were as kind as Mor. Half as decent as her was even enough.
“How do you know?” you ask, trying not to sound as desperate as you feel.
“Because they love Cassian, and you are Cassian’s mate. They will surely love the best thing that’s ever happened to his best friend.”
Oh. Well, that is reassuring. You make sure to smile thankfully at her as she hands you the gown. You’ve never worn anything like that before. Nothing so fancy or eye-cathing. But the dress is a ruby red too familiar to reject.
“Thank you,” you tell her, both for her words and for the dress. You love this girl so much already.
She leaves you alone in the room so you can change, and in the silence you think about how you have never felt so accompanied. Cassian and Morrigan already fill a whole gap in your heart. Never had you befriended anyone, thanks to your father’s strict rules. Never had you actually bonded with anyone.
Anyone but your mother.
You had tried to avoid the though, but guilt quickly creeps in your heart. You have left your mother in that place alone. No - even worse - with your father. The thought of what your father would do to you when he found out you were missing.
You felt tears run down your cheeks.
Another perfect moment ruined by the though of your father. Guilt quickly changed to fury. No. He would not ruin one of the few good moments in your life. You have found your mate. You are about to meet his family, and you will do it with a smile on your face. Not your father on your mind.
You are decided when you put on the dress and walk to see your reflection in the mirror.
“You look…” You swiftly turn to the voice. Cassian looks, and looks, and keeps looking as you turn more and more red under his piercing eyes. “Y/N you look…”
“Never had you for a shy lover,” Mor says as she appears on the door, next to Cassian. He turns to her with an exhausted look, yet the surprise and tenderness of a second ago is still in his eyes. “You look lovely, Y/N,” the female says.
You don’t look at her as she approaches to fix your hair gently. You only have eyes for Cassian. And he is just as lost in you.
“You do,” he finally corroborates, but it’s almost a whisper.
“Thank you,” you murmur, not helping the timid smirk on your face.
Morrigan sighs at the two of you, her eyes going from you to him again and again, as if in disbelief. “Girl, I’ve never seen Cassian act so silly.” Then she leans in and whispers for only you to hear, “You really have him wrapped around your finger.”
You smirk as you watch Cassian’s eyebrows rise in question. But it’s your secret. You turn to Mor and grin at her mischievously, liking this new playful part of you.
She is walking out the room when she turns and says out loud, “Be sure to use this to your benefit.” And she winks exaggeratedly.
At that, Cassian’s eyes find yours in a silent question. But you nonchalantly ignore him and walk to him to the door.
“Have they arrived?” you ask, but the nonchalance is now gone.
“Yes,” he answers. His eyes turn sympathetic when he takes in your uneasy demeanor. He moves his hands to hold your face lovingly. “Do not worry. I didn’t mean what I said about them being so violent,” he jokes.
You chuckle softly, the nerves dissipating a bit. “I know.”
“Well, at least I hope they aren’t tonight,” he teases.
You smack his arm, shushing him as you laugh. “You are a dork.” He feigns indignation, and you shake your head in exasperation. “Stop being stupid and present me to your family,” you order, taking his hand, needing the reassuring feeling of having him close.
At your words, his eyes spark with joy. Presenting you to his family is not just something big for you. You realize it is very important for him to.
You are his mate.
Then you think about how you don’t have a family to present to him. And that breaks your heart. You know your mother would love him, she would love anything in this world that could make you happy, but with your father at her side, there was no chance you could present Cassian.
Your mate senses your momentarily sadness, and yet again asks you only with his eyes. You dismiss his question with a genuine smile as you start walking to the living room. You deserve to enjoy this moment. You deserve to let go of your father for a night and only fill your heart with love for Cassian.
Love and nervousness.
“Y/N, these are Rhys and Azriel…”

Lancelot (4Kota) with an S/o similar to Mitsuri Kanroji(KNY)...
Like, reader is probably a hybrid between human and giant, who just looks very human and so on, but has the strength of her giant relative, compressed muscle. She was probably even from some town like Benwick or even lived near the fairies.
but then she started interacting with humans and precisely because of her human appearance (very cute) they accepted her a lot. even with her colossal strength (they thought it was her magical power).
I have a idea/feeling that she would know Lancelot from his travels with Jericho at first por when he come back from his first journey, just the reader could realize his mixed descent and would constantly bug him to be her friend.
I'm not going to lie, at first Lancelot found her a little quite annoying because of her cheerfull attitude and her insistence on being friends, but when he saw her heart he could tell that she was sincere (apart from the fact that the reader would stop if it was too much for him) so he decided at least to let her be close.
reader was someone very bright! which contrasted VERY MUCH with Lancelot's serious and stoic attitude, she would talk and talk and talk to him about things that were happening in the town, something cute she saw the other day, the huge meal that the bartender served her and that she ate it all, etc
Lancelot would just sit still and listen with his typical :| face, but in reality it amuses him that reader is surprised by such everyday things.
Even if Lancelot said that the reader was "annoying" he left out actions that showed the opposite, such as showing her things he brought from his missions, showing her his "Sin" form and in general he listened to her and even gave her advice when she asked for it.
He liked having someone so sincere for so long, but he was pretty bad at saying it verbally, so he just showed it through actions. He's a tsundere kind of guy
(imagine if he gave the reader some type of garment/ornament like in that scene with Mitsuri and Obanai🥺it would be so cute).
Reader also tends to get emotional as they grow up, when she cries, she CRY A LOT, she almost scared Lancelot away when one time she came crying with him, he was ready to kill someone, but the reader had just seen a very big snake in her shed and she got scared😅 (a very common nickname of Lancelot to the reader is "cry baby" or "dork").
By the time they are teenagers, Lancelot not only tolerates the reader more, but also appreciates her a lot, not only because she sticks to him like glue, but because she is very sincere in what she thinks and says, someone he trusts will say the true.
For this reason, Lancelot is quite cautious with the people around her, even if he appreciates and loves her, he recognizes that she lacks a little understanding that not everyone is a good person, especially when she develops a certain phase of being in love.
Although Lancelot didn't spend much time in the city, he tried to give the reader "subtle" clues about which guys were worth it (almost none) and which weren't (almost all). Fortunately or unfortunately, the reader distanced herself from almost all of them except for ONE especially despicable one. But he couldn't really make her stop, so he just rolled her eyes at every mention of the boy.
Lancelot understands that the reader wants to fall in love, in the future maybe get married and start a family, but could she PLEASE stop going after guys who aren't worth it?
The breaking point occurs when THIS JERK not only rejected Reader(that was the least), but despises her for being a giant, telling her horrible things like "only a bear would marry you" and leaving the reader heartbroken.
Obviously the guy doesn't get very far, but the words cut deep into the reader, who never really saw her strength as something bad until that moment (or her big appetite, or "unfeminine" habits) and begins to wonder, is she the one wrong?
Lancelot (even though he is somewhat bad with emotions) had to interfere and not let the reader get to her head, so what if they were rare hybrids? He wouldn't change anything about how she was a reader, NOTHING, just as she wouldn't change anything about him.
It's a nice cute little moment.
If we talk about the current relationship, it is like the dynamic of "sunshine" and "sunshine protector" (better known as "if they're smile disappears YOU DISAPPEAR). or simply an odd couple. The reader tends to be gentler with him group but somewhat clumsy while Lancelot the most responsible but much less gentle...
Even if Reader knows how to fight, there is no way she can match Lancelot's level, so she is more of a rearguard fighter. It should not be taken lightly either. Believe me, Lancelot knows...
they're like:
Lancelot: someone is going to die--(reader covers his mouth with unhuman streng)
reader: OF FUN!
Lancelot and reader take full advantage of reader's ridiculous strength! either for the benefit of people (such as clearing paths or moving heavy stuck objects, for fights, etc) or for certain little jokes.
Lancelot probably encourages the reader to basically train her giant skills, just in case she has to defend the town she lives in or herself. I don't think he can teach her how to use "heavy metal" but he can definitely give some advice regarding elementary handling.
(Lancelot has been carried princess style by reader more times than the other way around, it's fun and cute to see).
Lancelot fully supports the great reader's appetite! She burns a lot of calories with her great strength, so she needs to eat a lot, if reader convinces him enough, they can compete to see who eats the most, they have a great series of ties.
when reader really fights, she's actually pretty good! Only of course, when she eventually reaches her point of greatest exhaustion, she begins to despair and thinks she is going to die😅 Lancelot tells her half jokingly/half lovingly that she is a crybaby, but that she did quite well on her own.
(by the way, only Lancelot can call the reader a crybaby, anyone else gets a hit on the back of the head).
In general, it's like the typical "opposites attract" but it's actually quite healthy✨

Bree's New Friend
Tumblr media
Pairing: Adam Davenport x Bionic!reader
Characters: Bree Davenport, Bionic!reader, Adam Davenport, Chase Davenport, Leo Dooley, Donald Davenport, Tasha Davenport
Warnings: Fluff, classic lab rats things, has this been in the drafts for months, maybe, did I finally come back to it, also maybe, Leo and Chase being besties, Bree trying to set her girl up, Adam lowkey acting like a simp, reader can protect herself, Adam is a sweetheart, Leo is still a dork, Chase is pouty when he can't be bionic, aka use his skills with reader
Word Count: 1,137
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay, I have a question," Bree asks, taking a seat in front of her stepmom.
Tasha looks up from her mixing bowl with a raised brow. "Which is?"
She avoids the woman’s gaze. "I want to invite someone over, but I don't want any of the guys here."
"You need my help making sure the house is empty except for you and your friend? Is this perhaps a boyfriend?"
"No, it's a girl. She's really nice and I want to be friends outside of school, but she says we can't meet at her house because her parents don't want random people in her house."
"How soon are you thinking?"
"I was hoping for something later this week but-"
"Done."
She pauses, wondering if she heard her correctly. "Wait- really?"
The woman nods, "you rarely bring your friends around and I want you to enjoy your teen years while you can."
Bree squeals and runs over to her, hugging her. "Thank you. Thank you."
Adam, Chase, and Leo walk through the door. "Did we miss something?"
Tasha shakes her head. "No."
Donald steps behind his wife, leaning against the counter. "You're lying, aren't you?" She sighs.
"She asked me if she could have a friend come over and I said yes. What's so wrong about that?"
He raises a brow. "Is this a-"
"No, she's in three of Bree's classes and she wants to hang out with this girl outside of school."
"When does this happen?"
"Tomorrow which means we need you and the boys out of the house."
"Okay. Wait- what?"
-
The boys’ glance at one another, planning on pranking their sister and unfortunately bringing her friend down with her.
"I'm so happy we could finally hangout and not talk about school," Bree tells you as you two walk through the door.
"Me too." You stand beside the door, waiting for her to close it. "But could we actually talk about school for just one second?"
The girl rolls her eyes, "that's not why I wanted to hang out with you."
You chuckle, "I know, I know but if we could finish this one thing then we can watch trashy tv or something."
"The quiz?"
The three boys pop their heads up from behind the stair rail.
"I have two more questions and then I'm done for the day."
She sighs, "fine."
"I promise if we finish before, what time is it?"
She looks at the microwave, "two."
You let out a whisper under your breath a victory scream. "Great. If we finish before the frozen yogurt shop closes, we can go. I mean, if your stepmom lets us."
"She will."
"Are you sure? We didn't even ask her."
She nods, "she will. I don't normally have friends over."
You don't say anything. She realizes her mistake and tries to fix it.
"I mean- I have friends all the time. I practically throw a party every day."
You place your hands on her shoulders. "Calm down. It's okay, I'm not judging you. I literally told you I haven't brought friends over and you didn't judge me. Why would I judge you?"
"You're not?" She asks with genuine confusion. You’re acting much nicer than the other girls at school.
"No. Now, let's finish this quiz so we can get fro yo."
The boys pull back and devise their plan.
Leo and Chase enter the living room.
Bree groans, “I told you guys to go away- wait- where’s Adam?”
You narrow your eyes and set your notebook on the coffee table.
Adam pops up behind you and grabs your arms to scare you.
You geoleap behind him and grab his arm, holding it behind his back to restrain him, aiming for the other arm when breaks free and tackles you to the ground.
He unintentionally uses his laser eyes barely giving you enough time to pull your shield.
“You’re bionic?” Everyone but Adam shouts, he continues to stare at you.
You slowly lower your shield when he stops.
“Who else is bionic? I feel like I need to get on this trend,” Leo comments.
Chase turns to him with a disappointed look. “It’s not a trend, Leo.”
He shrugs, “doesn’t stop me from dreaming.”
Donald and Tasha walk through the door. “What’s going on here?”
You’re alarmed and geoleap onto the couch.
“You-” The older man pauses, calling out your name.
“You know her?” Tasha asks.
“When did you guys complete geoleaping and why did no one tell me?” He takes your hand, helping you off the couch.
You shrug, “a few weeks ago, there’s minor glitches but pretty useful nonetheless.” You cross your arms and lean closer to him. “I didn’t realize these were your kids.”
“I didn’t realize you were my daughter's friend, so surprise.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “You don’t know what else we’ve done. Don’t act like a rich millionaire.”
“I don’t have to act.”
“Donald, are you seriously fighting with a child?”
He looks away from you, “no.”
You turn around back to Bree. “Ready?”
“God, yes.” She grabs her bag before pulling you with her.
“Wait up!” Adam calls out as the other two follow behind him.
She groans, “this is a girl’s trip which means no boys.”
“We’re still coming with you,” Leo adds.
You pull her beside you to whisper in her ear. You pull back and see Chase frowning and smirk, “couldn’t listen in, could you?”
“How did you-”
“I’m awesome, that’s why.”
“That doesn’t justify-”
Adam nudges his arm. “Shut up, dude.” He smiles at you before gesturing for you to lead the way.
“I like this one,” you point to him. “He’s nice and not annoying.”
Leo chuckles, directing Chase’s annoyance onto him.
-
You grab your things and are about to head out when Adam stops you.
“Hey- uh- I wanted to say sorry.”
“For what?”
“You know,” he furrows his brows. “For earlier.”
You wave him off, “you’re all good. I can handle it but thanks for the apology.”
He smiles and holds the door open for you. “Are- if anything that happened today scared you,” he pauses. “I hope you’d still want to be friends with my sister.”
You smile, “I’m still coming around, you guys are fun and can actually understand me in more ways than the other kids at school can.”
“Cool.”
“See you, big guy.”
He waits until you get into your parents’ car.
“I want to be a bridesmaid if you two get married,” Bree tells him.
He jumps and frowns, “not cool.”
She shrugs, “I’m just saying, I’m the reason you two will have gotten together.”
He chuckles, “you so aren’t.”
“I totally am.”
“Would you two shut up already?” Chase calls out.
“We’re trying to watch the movie- AH!” Leo screams and tosses the bowl of popcorn up.

hey there!!! could you make headcanons for all the Voltron guys for when they realize that (she/her) reader is like actually someone they could date/ end up with? like they get turned on by something she did or something like that? you don't have to but thanks for reading anyway </3
Tumblr media
Voltron Paladins realizing Reader is someone they could end up with!
req: yes words: 873 pairing: voltron x reader content: fluff a/n: I was actually planning on writing something similar so thanks for the ask anon! <3
Tumblr media
Keith
Keith isn’t interested in love (until he realizes he can date you) BUT FOR THE MOMENT HE’S NOT!
Both of you are still determining when you got close as well. You protected him once in battle, and since then, you’ve just stuck together.
And he of course protects you when he can because he's grateful you saved his life.
So you guys became friends,,, that was news to Lance btw.
Slowly you let each other into your lives, and now you train together often.
You were never ‘better’ than him at fighting (you actually just made yourself lose sometimes) and Keith sometimes ‘lost’ to make you just a little happy (little did he know hehe)
But today? Oh, you weren’t playing that’s for sure. He was super confused at first, then he was impressed, and then he was turned on. Which is fair because you looked straight out of a magazine, the ‘hot’ sweaty and perfectly messy hair.
When did you get so hot?
And boom. He felt he was on earth again because realization hit him like a TRAIN.
You were his age, and you were hot, and you could totally be a thing. And wtf is wrong with Keith? He's never thought of you like this.
Yeah, so that’s that.
And then he gets all awkward around you, and you guys haven't had a training session together since then. He always conveniently has something to do when you try to ask him.
Goddamnit.
Lance
You’ve been friends with him since the good old garrison days.
You grew to like the dork’s presence
You’ve always known he’s flirty, that’s just Lance.
Getting you flowers (sometimes), flirting with you in the hallways, and even when you’re fighting with the galra.
You always rolled your eyes, scoffed at him, or brushed him off but today?
Violence
You were so ready to mess with him too
You woke up with mischief on your mind
And mischief you created
BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE
OK SO
Lance was flirting with you while fighting the galra
And he expected you to react normally but nooooo
You flirted back
AND THEN YOU WINK AT HIM
SHOOT A GALRA SOLDIER
AND LEAVE !???!!?!!!?!?!?!!?!?
Lance MALFUNCTIONS
Like lance.exe has STOPPED working
DECEASED
Keith’s snickering in the background! (And Shiro too but he won’t admit that, for Lance’s sake)
“Shut it.” is all Lance says for like 10 minutes
You’re hot, He’s hot, and you guys could end up together
You’re a woman now
And you could have him ENTIRELY at his knees.
Hunk
Hunk misses earth
So much
He stops talking as much and wanders around the castle
He didn't think anyone noticed
But you did
And you felt SO bad for him
So when you stop at the mall to get teleduv lenses you seek away
And get the closest possible ingredients to make his favorite treat
Ice cream sandwiches (real)
You’re testing weird white heavy cream adjacent substances and so much more all for him
You might get sick
Oh well
You sneak back and he gives you a weird “Where were you?” look,
But you just ignore
And then you slave away in the kitchen and finally end up with something that’s ice cream sandwich adjacent
“What’re you making?”
“Ice cream sandwiches”
“Oh for the team? You should have let me help”
“No”
Confused hunk
“It’s just for us” and you hold up an ice cream sandwich for him
His face LIGHTS up and he gladly accepts it
Then you guys sit on the floor and just talk about life and how both of you feel
All night.
It's freaking adorable
He realises how much he adores you, and how he absolutely loves you and all of your little quirks
It doesn’t even matter when the ice cream starts melting, he’d much rather focus on you and talk. Only occasionally taking bites when you do
Pidge
Pidge always knew you were datable
And an amazing person
But she started falling for you when the paladins were trying to tell her to not go find Matt
You stepped in a stood up for her, gaining Shiro’s support.
And then when she was ready to leave she saw you putting your stuff into your lion
“You don’t think I’ll leave you alone, do you?”
She knows it’s because someone will need to be there for her in case Matt is gone
But she doesn’t complain
It’s a silent brewing of love and appreciation
And she’s so grateful to have you in her life
Shiro
When Keith was confused and stuck without Shiro, you stepped up and found him
He was surprised at first
But you took care of him and helped him out as he got better
You were there for him to lean on. Always.
Literally and figuratively
His appreciation turned into adoration and then his adoration turned into pure, genuine love
Once he was fully healthy again
He’d try to pay it back to you
By protecting you when you went against any threats
ESPECIALLY when you were out of your lion
And then it just becomes a thing where you protect each other
It’s adorable
He loves you and he protects you
And vice versa
Adorable, I say.

clark's wife like giving birth and he's trying his hardest to support her and shes just like stfu but in a nice way
yes yes yes! I'm totally binge watching shameless so this is kinda like when v gives birth. Got a bit carried away, but this is still a drabble
masterlist
.
"You're doing amazing honey!" Clark says beside you holding your hand.
"How would you know?" You snap
"Because you're making all the right sounds. Remember that birthing video with the girl making all the buffalo noises? You're making those noises."
You roll your eyes as you let out a groan.
"Would you like to stand around here with us?" The doctors ask Clark.
"No I'm good" He quickly replies.
You almost get offended, "You don't want to watch?" you ask
"Oh, honey, I was over there earlier and it's real gory, lllike a horror movie, I'd rather stay with you." He says as he gives you a kiss on the forehead.
You groan once more.
"You know-" he starts
"Yeah?"
"Bruce says that in some cultures men aren't even allowed near the birth, just a bunch of women in tents, which makes sense, because I would be so much more useful if I was out hunting moose or something…" He rants.
"Clark?" You ask on the verge of punching him.
He hums.
"Please shut the fuck up."
"Oh yeah okay."
.
Clark is cradling the beautiful baby boy as you sit and watch from the hostipal bed.
“I’m gonna call you super baby” Clark tells him, the baby giggles in his dads arms, Clark look towards you, “he likes it”
“Please do not call our son super baby”
“Awww why not it’s cute.” He whines
“That be like you calling me super wife.”
“Well you are a super wife.” He shrugs
You roll your eyes as Kara and Martha walk in and steal the baby from Clark.
“Oh he’s just adorable. Have you decided on a name” Kara coos
“Super baby.” Clark states
“No it’s Jon, you dork.” You call out
“Hey don’t call me a dork!”
“Whatever, dork.”
“How is it that you two have been together for almost 10 years yet you still act like children.” Martha laughs
“Oh come on Ma, you and Pa were just like this.” Clark says as he steals the baby back and hands him to you.
Martha just laughs. Young love.
“Hey, I think we should tell Barry we named him after him” you whisper into his ear
He laughs, “whatever you want sweetheart.”
.
You and Clark take Jon to the next JL meeting. Barry’s the first one that comes up to you.
“Oh. My. God. He is so adorable!!!! Whats his name?”
“Barry.” You say confidently.
Barry’s face lights up, “you named him after me?!?!?”
“No his name is Jon. But I promise the next one we’ll name after you” Clark says.
“For realz?”
“For realz”
You laugh as Barry walks away, “you’re out of your mind if you think I’m gonna have another one” you whisper to him
He shrugs, “we’ll see about that” He leans down to give you a kiss.
.
5 years later and your back in the hospital giving birth.
“Get this thing out of me!!” You scream
“Honey it’s gonna be okay” Clark says holding your hand
“Curse you! And curse your stupid sperm!” You yell at him
“Uncle Bruce what’s sperm?” Jon looks up at Bruce from outside the room.
“Ummmm when a mommy and daddy love eachother very much-“
“Don’t you dare give my son the sex talk Bruce!” Clark yells from the delivery room
You scream again
“Is mommy gonna be okay?” He asks
Bruce shrugs, “probably, maybe. She has a 17.4 to 100,000 chance of dying.”
“Dying? She’s gonna die?!?” Jon screams.
“Uhhhh”
“One last push, you’re almost there” the doctor says.
“I’m gonna fucking kill you for doing this to me.” You scream at Clark as you push
Crying erupts the room. It’s finally over. 15 hours of excruciating pain.
“Congratulations it’s a healthy baby girl.”
They weigh her, Clark cuts her cord, you hold her for a bit then they take her away to clean her.
“You still wanna kill me?”
“We’ll see.” You say as he leans down to kiss you.
As he pulls away he says, “We have to name her Bartholomew now.”
“No.”
“C’mon shes just like him.”
“No if she was this would be a fast labor, she’s just like me.”
“You’re right she is stubborn” he jokes
“that’s why we’re going to name her Y/n jr.” You state as a matter of fact.
“We can name her that but we couldn’t name Jon super baby?”
You shrug
..
Years later..
“I COULDVE BEEN SUPER BABY”
“Yeah but your mom wouldn’t let me.”
“I COULDVE BEEN SUPER BABY”
