Danyal Al Ghul: Incorrect Quotes and Miscellaneous Thoughts
Incorrect quotes-style snippets specifically for my danyal al ghul au here (which i really need to come up with a unique au name for atp). Because I thought it'd be funny. And also some miscellaneous headcanons thrown into the mix. Some context for the au: - Danyal is 5 years older than Damian (so 10 and 15) - Danny faked his death when he was 10. Talia knows and helped him with it. - Jazz, Sam, and Tucker do not know he's an ex-assassin.
-------- Snippet 1
Danny, dryly tapping his temple: I have, as the Americans say, irreparable psychological damage, right here.
Jazz, an older sibling first and foremost: well, it's good that you're self-aware.
-------- Snippet 2
Danny, aged 10, in the American foster planning to just age out of the system: *emanating Bad Vibes. Pure, Little Orphan Tom Riddle Energy*
Jazz, aged 12, coming in to adopt a new sibling with her parents: Him. This is my brother now :)
Danny: ...what
--------
Lilo and Stitch is Danny's favorite Disney movie. He watched it when he was 11 with Jazz when she was attempting to connect with him, and by this point Danny was becoming receptive to her efforts. They had a movie marathon in the living room one night.
Safe to say? It resonated with his little 11 year old heart strongly, and he related very strongly with both Nani and Stitch. He got unexpectedly emotional and hid in his room for the rest of the night. Jazz felt really bad, but it had the intended (but kinda unexpected) effect of him trying to be nicer to her afterwards.
-------- Snippet 3
Dash, aged 12, causing trouble again and getting intercepted by Danny: *scaling up a desk* AHHHHH! GET YOUR LITTLE FREAK, FOLEY!
Tucker: Hey! Danny is not a freak!
Dash: GET HIM TO BACK OFF
Tucker, was the kid Dash was messing with: ....whats in it for me
-------- Snippet 4
Danny, saying some questionably immoral shit: What. Why are you looking at me like that.
Tucker: Bro. I mean this as kindly as possible; what the fuck?
Sam: yeah, I'm with Tuck on this one.
-------- Snippet 5
Danny, ranting about Vlad: if it weren't for the laws of this land, I would have slaughtered him
Sam, painting his nails black: I'm pretty sure you'd slaughter him regardless of the laws of the land -- and quit moving, you're gonna mess me up.
Tucker: we've literally seen you debate yourself about this, Dan
Danny: ...you are correct, but it is the principle of things.
-------- Snippet 6
Vlad: I have experience my child, and the money and power attained through using those powers for personal gain, you say. I could train you, teach you everything I know! And all you have to do is renounce that idiot adoptive father of yours.
Danny, was already contemplating committing a Violence: ....
Danny, internally: I'm going to stab him *turns into Phantom*
--------
Funny contrast I realized between Danyal and Vlad that iirc I haven't pointed out yet is that imo, Danyal doesn't rely on his powers nearly half as much as canon Danny does. He falls back instinctually on his League training, and thus sometimes forgets to use his powers in battle. This was prevalent especially early on when he was still getting used to the whole 'halfa' thing.
He incorporates them more often after a year, but still for the most part relies on his own physical hand-to-hand combat. He trusts those skills much more than he does his powers. I'm not sure where he is on a technical level compared to canon, but just to stay safe I'll say he's similar in power skill as canon Danny. Perhaps a little more finessed than him because his League training would probably have him trying to figure out his powers as soon as possible.
But in summary? Danny is strong in hand-to-hand combat, weak in powerset.
Meanwhile Vlad is the opposite. I can't recall if he even knows hand-to-hand in canon, but it makes total sense to me that Vlad Masters wouldn't because he's so confident in his monetary influence and ghost abilities that he sees no need for it.
And he's kinda got some merit behind it. He's very powerful and has 20 years of experience to experiment and fine tune his powers. He's got bite to follow up his bark. He's perfected long-range combat and his ability to phase through walls makes it impossible to corner him, but if you can manage it, then one good hit could probably knock him on his ass.
So in summary, Vlad is strong in powerset, weak in hand-to-hand combat.
And it casts a good contrast between the two of them in that regard. Danny, as a fellow halfa, can follow Vlad when he phases through walls and is fast enough to land a hit on him. His league training as an assassin, albeit rusty, is still deep ingrained enough in him that he can hold up as a rather veritable threat against Vlad without needing his powers.
But Vlad can force Danny to use his powers more often through use of his own. The duplication is the first thing to come to mind: Danny's fast enough to dispel them on his own without powers, and smart enough that he could figure out who the real one is if given a few minute. But that's not always efficient enough.
Good foils for each other that way. Also Vlad's Plasmius design mimics Ra's juuust enough that he looks like Ra's knockoff loser second cousin no one talks about, which only fuels Danny's hatred.
-------- Snippet 7
Danny, ranting about Vlad for the first time: --and it's only made worse by the fact that the little ingrate resembles a cheap knock-off of my grandfather!--
Sam, choking on her water: he what--
Tucker, doing a spittake: HE DOES?

Baldur's Gate 3 Companion Head Canon Disney Animation Edition
I think most people of my generation (I'm fairly old I suppose) and culture have a favourite disney animation film. Herego, of course I tried to guess which one it would be for our favourite weirdos.
My favourite is in there. Is yours too?
Lae’zel | Lilo & Stitch (2002)
Much like her, Stitch landed on a planet whose inhabitants won't let her murder and destroy stuff as she wishes. But she got attached and now you cannot get rid of her. Ohana means family and family means she’ll get you to that goddamn crèche.
Shadowheart | The Fox and the Hound (1981)
A story about adoption and friendship; what's not to like. Especially the friends to ennemies back to friends bit; weirdly relatable for her. Some scenes make her cry so much she needs to pause and cast restoration on herself. At least, there is a happy end.
Gale | Tangled (2010)
Yearning for something more while cloistered in a tower and being saved by a charming doofus. That's Gale right there: surrounded by sassy pets and singing by the window while brushing his luscious hair.
Astarion | Cinderella (1950)
He hates that he loves it. It’s practically his life, what with the terrible siblings and sadistic mother. Except he wouldn't need rats and mice to make a stunning dress… And he'd probably eat them… But safe from that, essentially the same.
Karlarch | Big Hero 6 (2014)
A tale of friendship, grieving and forgiveness. Being part of a little group of wannabe heroes for whom one would give everything; yeah that's what she's talking about. She might not be white and round but Baymax is her and she is it.
Wyll | The Little Mermaid (1989)
Save someone despite ones own safety? Check. Signing a very unbalanced contract that guarantees one would be screwed over? Check. Daddy issue. Check. Songs. Check, check, check! It's like he wrote the damn thing.
Halsin | Bambi (1942)
He's sad that there are no bears in this one, but other than that it's an accurate depiction of what he's seen in the forest while in wild shape (yes, even the ice skating bit! Rabbits do that).
Minthara | The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)
It's gritty, dark and twisted. She loves the music and takes great pleasure watching Frollo tumble to his death in a lava pool. Good smiting is good smiting
Jaheira | 101 Dalmatians (1961)
In a sense, isn't she responsible for a bunch of puppies and trying to save them from being skinned alive? Yes. Yes, she is.
Minsc | Ratatouille (2007)
He almost sued when he watched it the first time because he felt plagiarized: That's how he cooks with boo (except boo uses the hair on his back).
Gortash | The Great Mouse Detective (1986)
There is engineering, scheming, and disguise. Although to him it's a drama because the villain, the suave and manipulative Rattigan, who's the hero in his eyes, dies tragically and prematurely without carrying out his masterplan.
Orin | Aladdin (1992)
I have no explanation but I just know it's Aladdin.
What do you think? Any other character and their favourite Disney you can think about ?

I know I just sent an ask regarding the Miss Raven relationship post, but I saw the scrapped Yuus one and I wanted to ask smth related (⇀‸↼‶) sorry if two asks in a row are too much in this regard too!
first of all I LOVE YOUR STYLE 😭 it's so cute, I always get excited when you post art. and it's so interesting to get to see a part of your creative process in making characters, even if they didn't end up existing. ( THE ONEE-SAN YUU... Miss Raven was saved from falling for another charming smile... and so were the rest of us )
in regard to ocs, I wanted to ask... do you have any other twst ocs? I think I read some old posts about some RSA ocs, but I wanted to ask specifically if there's another "big" one in terms of story/being as fleshed out as Miss Raven 🧐 or if you ever plan to make another Big Oc™️ in terms of lore like u did for her
also... I wanted to ask... now that you finished her main story, is there any other long form (?) stories you want to explore with her? I know you're hosting the future!au event rn, and you've written more side stories (?) about her in similar events... but I mean as in- again, a longer sort of story. I'm just genuinely curious, since I really like your work + her specifically and I'm curious about whatever you have planned for her 👀 but ofc it's totally okay if you have other plans orrr if you'd prefer to let the heavy Raven lore rest for a bit!!
[Referencing this post and this blog event; the asker’s Miss Raven relationships ask is here.]

adskjblfabfqyovf OTL Thanks??? I get anxious about posting my art because its usually hand drawn, non-committal sketches 💦 I personally really like reading about other people's creative processes so I tend to scribble notes all over my drawings, and then they get all messy and cluttered... I'm glad you like them regardless though.
I like drawing Onee-san!Yuu’s art eyes and hair… She is very dainty and cute! Her personality is fun to toy with too, since how she acts and how she’s truly feeling are so starkly different. I’ve thought about her so many times, it’s almost like she’s psychically reaching out to me in an attempt to have me formally implement her 😂 Again though, not sure if I’ll ever settle on a Yuu because the concept of a Yuu does not really interest me.
Aaaah, my RSA OCs were back from like 2020-2021. I never did manage to flesh them out and I think I’ve lost the fire to. I have several NRC OCs that I haven’t shared because they aren’t that fleshed out either. Of those, I think my favorite is my twisted!Iago (who is in part also inspired by my own pet)… He’s just a punk ass (first year Scarabia) kid and Jamil’s self-proclaimed minion (Jamil has no idea who he is).
Ironically, I think the most detailed NRC OCs I have at the moment are the three based on mob students:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even then, I don’t think they’re super deep… Pome A can be summarized as "ex-delinquent who now has the goal of becoming 'a gentleman'" (similar to Deuce, who wants to be an honors student). Scarab B is basically a Jamil fan boy (though he's less angry/pushy about it than Sebek is; he has more eager puppy energy). The most detailed one of the bunch is Octa A, who is very anxious (Idia-sh) due to being sorted into Octavinelle, where his dorm members are constant sources of stress. Outside of that, he's a very... homely "boy next door" type. I picture him coming from a tightly knit island town and helping out his family at a community center where they help people find jobs that best suit them. (If you couldn't tell, a lot of Octa A's backstory is inspired by the Lilo and Stitch animated series.) The mob student OCs were conceived because I thought it would be funny to sometimes write from the perspective of unrelated onlookers watching all of the crazy stuff that happens on NRC campus and just going, "What, AGAIN????" They feel more like unserious gag characters, if anything.
I have actually considered writing a sequel to the Tale of the Cursed Raven for the longest time! If you've read the original tale, Vil, Azul, and Idia play prominent roles throughout it. The second saga would theoretically give the other dorm leaders (Malleus, Leona, Kalim, and Riddle) importance. Note that 3 out of 4 of the dorm leaders in the latter group are nobles or have noble relatives. That's because the (potential) sequel would involve themes of social status and who gets to shape the future. A-And hey, maybe it could focus on Raven's relationship with L*ona instead of J word this time-- The synopsis is as follows: Having finally broken her curse, Raven Crowley is now free to live as she wishes in a happily ever after of her own making... or is she? One day, a strange invitation arrives from an unknown sender, beckoning her to Briar Valley. Amid whispers of Malleus Draconia's ascension to the throne and a grand ball to decide the dragon's bride-to-be, the timing is certainly strange. "This is far too suspicious," she thinks. "I simply won't go." Then a sparkling carriage pulls up to the gates of Night Raven College, claiming to be looking for a princess in black feathers. Accompanying that carriage are two men cloaked in white and a woman that shines like starlight.
"Who are you?" Raven asks, feeling as though they've met before in some distant past. "Why, I'm your Fairy Godmother. I'm here to make all of your dreams come true."
Perhaps this meeting was always meant to be.
(I WANT TO BE CLEAR: despite how the synopsis sounds, it is NOT meant to be Raven x Malleus. I would appreciate it if readers refrained from discussing this topic, please and thank you.)
As you can probably tell by that 💦 the story sounds very ambitious... and unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable writing it because we're still missing so much from the canon main story. I'd like the OB Malleus and Grim arcs to complete so I understand the full scope of the story and how the loose ends are tied up (particularly Malleus's reaction post-OB and how, if at all, he embraces change). More lore on dragon fae would be helpful as well. I'd also ideally like a Briar Valley hometown event so I can see what the culture, traditions, people, politics, etc. are like before I attempt to depict it in my writing.
In this sequel, there would be many OCs introduced--at least 4 of them! I've been cooking a lot behind the scenes ^^ One of these OCs you've actually met in the original tale; it would be the Enchantress (Estella) that originally cursed the Storyteller. 2 of the other OCs are what I would describe as Estella's helpers, who are meant to be her equivalent to Silver and Sebek. One is inspired by the concept of the “messenger dove + dove with the olive branch” and the other is inspired by Swan Lake. The 4th and final OC is basically all but confirmed would be a foil character to Malleus, an ambitious nobleman twisted from Nerissa (the villain from Enchanted).
Here’s some doodles I have of the 4 OCs I mentioned! The first two are “the dove” and “the swan”, respectively. The bottom two are concepts for twisted!Nerissa and Estella.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This sequel would expand more on Estella's motives and background (something I mentioned in my afterthoughts), as well as tie in history and political intrigue as Raven’s forced to navigate those circles. It would most likely be set a year or so in the future, and the events that take place would inform Raven’s internship decision in her fourth year. (She would be a scribe in Briar Valley!) I’d like part II to feel like a story event that supplements or follows up on the development in part I/the main story.
xbjsbsjsjsb Anyway 🤡 That’s all I feel okay with revealing for now. I want to be clear and reiterate that this is all just a theoretical sequel and I’m not sure if I’ll actually get around to writing it. It’s definitely been fun to conceptualize though ^^
I’ll leave you with this concept art:

ᴅʀɪɴᴋɪɴɢ ᴍᴏᴏɴꜱʜɪɴᴇ ๋࣭🗡₊♚⭑ ๋࣭⌖
— in hoku city there were three gods that everyone prayed to and, in secret, one power that bound them. supplication for the latter was far more clandestine, whispered and sequestered — in exile, made strange. ʜᴏᴋᴜ, ɴᴇꜱᴏɪ, ʙᴀᴅᴀ. star, earth, sea. the three gods that, when destiny conspired and came crawling, created the refuge of the bay on which hoku city was erected. favoritism named the city hoku when it was nesoi who ruled over land, and bada that, with her heaving oceans, carved the bay. but hoku was a star, and the city fell right beneath it's never blinking truth. it was only inevitable that one would be remembered more than the others, and in hoku's complacency, it would only be fair that bada's volatility and nesoi's jealousy would grow.
the ꜱᴇʀᴘᴇɴꜱ was the intensity that kept the city from eating itself whole.
— serpens, short for the serpens syndicate, was no true god, though certainly you'd be forgiven for thinking as much.
— formed generations ago (eight? six? what did it truly matter when the bones of them no longer existed, long pulverized, buried then exhumed, desecrated, then revered on an altar?) when a woman stepped off of a boat and onto the anticipating shores of a fetal city, barely christened with the name of hoku — the recrowning of a deity once forgotten, now animated anew and worshiped again, a cycle beginning at it's center. she had a dream of creating an empire — a whole world that would bend to her whims, small enough to swallow whole, powerful enough to seat her progeny for millennia — and create it, she had. first as a true business, a coalition of handpicked merchants who would come to rule the city with the foresight of a deified star, the omniscient eye, and the volatility of the omnipresent sea that raged around them. their trade was primarily alcoholic spirits and all manner of goods that could be sourced from the omnipotent abundance of the earth.
in those days, the prohibition had yet to emerge. in some ways, it was harder, more convoluted — byzantine. to hold the stopper on someone's desires is so much simpler when you are the only voice commanding vice. to control the flow of sin is a straightforward, near effortless task when there is only one fount, and you it's supplier.
— generations ago, when the world was less complicated, and the laws held with a velvet glove rather than an iron fist, the serpens syndicate was formed. not yet a godhead, something commonplace and admired. perhaps sharper, then, as it navigated streets it did not yet own and, with lazy skill, intricately wove itself into the desires of the people there. and with time, the corrupting influence of that diety named ꜱᴀᴍɢᴏɴɢ, that which is illicit becomes so much more tantalizing to hold. first it was little things, and then the shadows came to dance closer to their vision, and serpens had no choice but to embrace them or be swallowed whole.
— eventually, the elders of the serpens died and their prestige passed to the children beneath them. markets swelled and companies rose, and other things, still, ebbed with the water and, violently, were pulled to sea. only the serpens was strong enough to survive. only the snake born of sky and sea, tending to the ground beneath, could curl itself into the heart of the city and, triumphant, keep it's watchful eye keen.
and when prohibition came knocking, an unfortunate response to the political fear of a red light district growing stronger than it's keeper... well, who were the serpens to venerate: the gods that birthed them, and by favor, swelled their size? or the lawmen that cowered in fear, clawing at what never belonged to them to start?
— it was an easy choice, the former. and an evident decision for the people of hoku to raise the serpens up and, in their devotion, both conceal and empower them.
— when the prohibition hit, the serpens was headed by the mysterious ᴇʀɴᴇꜱᴛ, eldest of the meunier family and heir to the most vast and impressive organization hoku would ever see. open and inviting by name, but hidden yet renown, envied and feared, by reputation.
it was he who expanded their previous business, opening more hidden speakeasies — nips for the well to do that just needed something to take off the edge, bars for those who only wished to partake in their established addictions, and more clandestine holes in the wall for those that were used to the darker shades and umbra the Serpens had long been expected to supply: canned heat, bottled torment, and tinned apparitions of ebullient euphoria.
bootlegging, drug peddling, pleasure dealing, death. the gods could save you from misfortune and lead you from disgrace, but the serpens could command all that sin and vice and all those evils that itched the back of your screaming throat.
— so pray to them. buy a bottle of their greed and spill a drink onto the pavement. the cops would never know if it was you that offered the liquid, or them that spilled it in confiscation. but the serpens would know. they were in every window, on every street corner, just around the block. they would see you downtrodden, and they would appreciate your awe, and they would raise you, when the moment became opportune.
to the serpens, master of all three: the omniscient eye, the omnipresent sea, the omnipotent abundance of the earth.
Tumblr media
ᴅʀɪɴᴋɪɴɢ ᴍᴏᴏɴꜱʜɪɴᴇ ๋࣭🗡₊♚⭑ ๋࣭⌖ ᴄᴏɴᴛ.
— ernest was a man that, however paradoxically, lived up to his name. warm. friendly. true. and yet, to those who would interfere with his business and create problems or messes (things less than ideal), he was unequivocally feared. his ire was your death; your mistake his boot on your broken neck, a miscalculation...? something bloody would be trickling into the rust-stained drain, the slow drip absinthe that was distilling into liquid gold in the serpen's hands.
most of the grotesque work — the unrefined, the unsightly brute force — was left to the delegation of ernest's right hand: ʙʏᴇᴏɴɢ-ʜᴡᴀ. a man to be equally feared, a name to invoke misfortune and curse. how the two met was a secret all-too-well kept. one day he appeared: the shadow of a crime lord, the brass knuckles of his right fist.
— even when they became fathers their resolve never weakened, their terror never lifted. ꜱᴏʏᴇᴏɴ, born in august, the daughter of a kingpin's right hand, and ᴅɪᴀɴᴇ, born two months later, the dauphin of a power much larger than the self, a weapon so deadly even ɪᴋᴜ himself — death incarnate — could only fathom the shallows of it's striking blow.
if anything, the rise of the next generation simply made them all the more careful in their planning — more visionary, more cutthroat.
— soyeon was born the eldest, and the shadow in her fathers deeds caressed the hair on her head and worshiped the light in her eyes until they were as dark as all that she would be groomed to do. diane was her opposite and not-quite-equal — someone on a pedestal already raised, above in rank and not apologetic of it... yet.
— when it came to diane — darling of hoku's underground world, devoted of that which sat above — many things would sink in slowly, overtime: eat their way through her thickened skin and gnaw at the tenderness encased within. yet was her eventuality, yet was all that she could not abide, and yet would be the knife pointed at her treasonous heart at the beginning of what lies beyond.
it was her father's fault, if we're to place blame.
after all, was it not him, that, in the giddy delight of having a daughter, suggested to his wife that his progeny should have a name no less witty and ironic than his own? ernest for a kingpin. truth for a crown of deceit. they should name her something cynical — acerbic when you faced it unblinking, bathed in truth. sarang, he said, through bubbling laughter: love, when it would be most impossible to abide.
and it had stayed that way: her second identity, her secret name. the epithet she only used with the closest of her kin, the appellation she only whispered through unsteady breath. sarang. love. oh, how it betrayed her. oh, how it shackled her to the floor of her deception and ever-growing lies.
— daughters of monsters and daughters of men. hoku crawled with them and it was the power of ʜᴏʀᴋᴏꜱ — oath — and that almighty mixture of convenience and duty that combined to draw the fates of diane and soyeon ever close, so they would tangle upon bloom.
after all. when there was an education for one, why should there not be opportunity for both? when there was such rich history between the fathers, why not a friendship and devotion for the daughters?
so knit their lives to be experiences in tandem. cut the cloth so their fraying edges could tangle rather than break. school together, extra circulars joint, assembled schedules with collective goals; if their lives were in constant collaboration and concert, their goals and dreams, too, might coalesce and unify — perhaps their bond would triumph over that of even their fathers and their leverage, in the end, would eclipse all the control and power the serpens had ever known.
— from their youngest years, diane and soyeon were together. it was only natural that companionship should rise, and no one celebrated it more than the demon of hoku and his calloused right hand.
byeong-hwa and his quiet pride (the secret, near half curve of a schadenfreude smile; the confident satisfaction of a brief exchange of half-muttered words), the mastermind of an empire didn't express much, but in his silence was a world of self gratified honor and his daughter and her closest companion were at the epicenter — all he could focus on, all he could contain. his blessings were all skills they would hone to a knifepoint, his devotion a paved road.
ernest, by contrast (a man indulged in his freedom, so high above the rest that he bound those that would not be bidden and answered to only those he so carefully chose), delighted in the two girls with ripe expression and open hands near constantly filled with the tangible, though on rare occasion and most cherished, the cerebral. diane, to whom he gave all his wisdom and wove all of his bleeding love, and soyeon, who he blessed with clairty of vision for all her ambition.
— two fathers, two daughters. and all that to say nothing of the mothers who bore them and ever after rose them up. and for a moment longer than the stasis that holds you at the fear of death, and in am embrace softer than the hands encircling your eiderdown throat, the two girls received all that virtue and knowledge surrounding them, and they were happy.
"i thought your name was diane."
"it is."
"then why does samchon ernest call you sarang?"
"it's my secret name," and the younger girl giggled, flipped upside down on the stairs she would climb like monkey bars, dreaming that this staircase was a freedom beyond one she would be granted at this age, still prepubsecent, a liberty perhaps not reached even in the whole of this life. "only the people who know me best call me that. family."
and for a long moment soyeon just stared at diane. upside down as well, moreso hanging than dangling, too stubborn to admit to the vulnerability in suspension, she looked at the girl beside her — this built in friend, this given companion that she grew to care for more dearly than any other — soft. then... "can i use it, too?"
"of course! i was waiting for you to."
— and it would be only too familiar when such familiarity would rot and envy sink in her teeth, anchored deep with her claws.
— diane was the heir to hoku, and soyeon her second fiddle. a weapon for diane to one day direct, a voice in her ear that could be disregarded or misattributed.
it began in those meetings, almost mock sessions — child's play — where diane would speak her beliefs into action, her desires into assignment, and soyeon would see the heart of the blonde leaping from its place and tumbling out of her uncertain throat. soyeon would challenge that, the way she had their whole lives, the counsel she was bred to provide, and her tutors would set their jaws and flicker their eyes.
when she speaks, her word is law, her ambitions reign.
never mind the softness that turned her bile into forgiveness, the compassion and love within her yielding and spreading thick, a knife turned to it's side, indulgence forgetting the edge to favor the spine.
— they were little moments, and the thoughts, though poisonous, petty. diane's tenderness would blind her one moment, and the next she would dictate a torture graphic and bloody to the fool who had dared to break byeong-hwa's good knee. the resources of her station could enable her volatility, but without the fervor of passionate emotion, it was a tendency more likely to dull from lack of use.
and so it was a simple question of fitness — a lingering hypothetical of what if that rooted itself in the dark places where twisted things like to grow, and, by degrees, spread it's uncertainty into the deeper beliefs in soyeon's mind.

ᴅʀɪɴᴋɪɴɢ ᴍᴏᴏɴꜱʜɪɴᴇ ๋࣭🗡₊♚⭑ ๋࣭⌖ ᴄᴏɴᴛ.
— it was a sort of self gratifying joke in the meunier household that sarang could see the truth of people and diane could see their use.
sarang, imbued with love from the moment she was a thought in the minds of her parents (a hope, a joy — something to be cradled and held — cherished, for all innocence in hoku city was fleeting and met a tragic demise) , could always see the truth of someone despite any will to hide — verity and devotion bowed before her: unblinking, unmotivated, bare.
diane was less romantically inclined. she had to be, by nature of her role — her existence, her duty, her reign. she could only see the use of people. it was her only saving grace. if she began to entangle herself in the hearts of men, bog herself down in the histories and vulnerabilities of their lives, it would be impossible to do her work. it would be foolish of her: imbecilic to see the heart of people — to focus on all their love, all their life, all their vibrancy, still bleeding and not yet cold. it wouldn't serve her in the end, and so diane had to let those ideals rest.
— it was certainly a work in progress — this distinction between the two parts of herself.
which was more true? which would win in the end? these were questions without answers, quandaries lacking resolve. who are we really? that which we project or that which we feel tearing us limb from limb, clawing inside out, feasting on our rotting flesh, and undeterred, forever starting again?
— but let us begin here with the duality of sarang and diane. the same person - two different people — the same values, different ideals. diane neatly dissected herself on the daily — crafting identities and electing character (cherry picking the best of her, discerning those weaknesses that fit the narrative, burying those foibles that could not), a vulture that picked herself clean and only consumed that which would not fester between her teeth.
— and when she would go out and into this world that would only see her by degrees, she would often keep another name in her back pocket. secrets upon; secrets lies upon lies. you could never truly know her because you only knew a half, a part, a fragment. when she was old enough to hold her own and old enough to where her educational needs differed from that of soyeon and the two of them on occasion would part only to return again, half changed, diane chose a second friend. a bodyguard, mainly. a protector in name.
— his name was ꜱᴀɴ. a year younger than her, but with a built twice her size. fearless, intense, courageous, genuine. how he found his way into the underbelly of hoku city was a predictable tragedy, a commonplace loss; but how he managed to safeguard the softest parts of himself in a place protected and secure, still half transparent to be seen by the eyes of one so clear as sarang was his true peculiarity.
it was unsurprising, in the end, when diane chose him to be her armed weapon, her chosen conspirator, her useful friend.
— once, when san was newly appointed, and diane hoped to hide a fascination she had with the softness of humanity, she slipped away from san in the crowd. he'd caught up with her and all of his barreling force of anger burnt into ash when he realised what she stooped over was a stray puppy — still infant, terrified and matted and cold.
"you could take him to the complex. the demon of hoku would never say no."
"i know." and sarang was uncharacteristically quiet, like this was some secret, some vulnerable part of her character that untombed itself and didn't belong here — at least, it was still somehow premature. "but innocence has no place in the serpens. i don't want him to bury himself alive and resurface as something changed."
and they stood there, the guiltless whelp before them, whose only sin was not being loved to the point of sanctuary.
"don't slip away from me again. your father is on every corner of this city and if i'm seen without you and a hint of concern, it will be my head." and it was sarang, then, that nodded her apology and agreed. "you don't have to hide softness from me."
— and it was that sort of understanding, that sort of freedom, that compacted and grew, spiraled and engorged — feasted on opportunity as any serpent might — and became the monster curled in the little demon's lap.
it certainly led them to where they were, now.
— the courtyard of the police academy was simple and no nonsense, by a general rule: bare. but during special events like the one being celebrated today, blue ribbon (with shades from the deepest midnight to the softest powder blue) was wrapped around columns and set to flutter in the mild breeze. whole families sat, poised and proper, in unyielding folding chairs. they clapped politely when names of graduating students were called, and peacocked, beaming, when the name was an honor their own.
diane sat comfortably toward the back, her eyes following police academy hopefuls, then the crowd that so warmly received them, by turns.
san was alongside her, as always, but their conversation was nothing but niceties for the duration of the ceremony — nothing like the conversation they'd had before they'd resolved to arrive.
"why are you so set on seeing the police graduates anyway?"
— establishing a civilian face in the most unlikely of locations. taking stock of who was still trusted with the youngest recruits. finding an exposed and vulnerable underbelly that soon enough, could be exploited, gutted, turned. the police were slowly understanding the profile of turncoat that the serpens was partial to adding to their payroll. it had been soyeon's idea to poach where they were least likely to expect: idealized graduates, still wet behind the ears with nothing of value, yet, but the potential and fire of youth.
there was another younger serpens member hidden somewhere in the crowd, sharp minded ꜱᴇᴏɴɢʜᴡᴀ who ernest, these days, was partial to favoring whenever he needed another mind of judgement than just diane and soyeon was busy, aiding the few senior members to fill the gaping hole left by byeong-hwa.
(he'd died last fall, days before he swore he'd finally retire. a bad omen, some had said: vengeance and penance would always force the worst to reap what they sow. there had been a few retirements after that, some loyal enough and peripheral enough to be true resignations, some far too close to the trigger to see any reprieve other than what lay on the other side of a bullet and it's ashen powder. they were of an age, it was understood. for some of them, there was no expertise, just liability. according to the laws of the gods, a roulette with fate and a handgun was the most they deserved, and an honor they could rest easy with on another plane.)
at the end of this ceremony, diane would convene with seonghwa and together, they would find the rabbits easiest for the blow. perhaps the girl few clapped for beyond polite acknowledgement; ever still, the boy with a smothered nervousness in his gait, like if he looked over his shoulder, he'd draw attention to his own smoking gun.
— one of the graduates had a grin that near broke into a boisterous laugh when his name was called "ʙᴀɴɢ ᴄʜᴀɴ." the row in front of diane erupted into the most fearsome of cheers, and they stood, perhaps to make up for their sitting so far back.
diane stood, too, if only to size up this boy that had made her very ground shake with raucous thunder.
when somehow they locked eyes, it was all her power to not immediately falter.
— when the speeches were through, sarang sat to linger.
she and seonghwa shouldn't leave and arrive at their mutual second location quite so noticeably. even in the hubbub of a graduation ceremony. even on a night the nips were sure to be bought dry with young people looking to celebrate, hiding their illegalities under the alibi of youth.
— she could have moved. anticipated the movements that would wrap her string of fate around her neck like a noose.
she stayed rooted to her spot.
— bang chan, the ebullient graduate from before, came proudly over to his family before long. he caught her gaze, big brown eyes flicking briefly to the muscle beside her, before turning to who must have been his sister and laughing, pulling her into an embrace.
it took less than one whole look for san to disappear from beside her, and when bang chan was done receiving congratulation from his sea of adoring family, sarang — diane — was quite alone.
"hi."
and she echoed his greeting before finding more of her voice. "congratulations on your graduation."
"ah, thank you." and he was bashful, rubbing the back of his neck. "it wasn't anything anyone else hadn't done."
"the whole courtyard burst with applause."
and he had all the humility of laughter. "that was just my family." and he waved to the group of familiars retreating out of the archway, a promise to catch up soon. his smile twisted into something still warm but searching. "i saw you standing, though. we can't have met before; i know i would have remembered you."
and for a moment, there was a sound on the tip of her tongue, sly and smooth, serpentine sooth. but a different moniker tumbled out when she thought better, a contrasting life.
a fake name. chan savored the taste of lies on his tongue.
"are you here for anyone i might know?"
"no," and a half truth was followed with falsehood, the genuinely twinkle in her eye accompanied with a smile she could not truly own. "i came to get out of the house, and this is one of the few places my father allowed — so long as i brought my cousin, of course."
chan's eyes brightened, then. relieved. he pressed slightly closer, conspiratorial, light. "your bodyguard."
"that's the desired affect." a laugh. then here, a half calculating, half hopeful hint. "but a push over. give him money for ramyeon and he'll vanish."
and when he left, it was with the parting wish that he would see her one day, again.
— when san appeared at diane's side as though he'd never left, it was mutually understood that they'd never speak of this bang chan and report only to seonghwa those names easily overtook: cho miyeon, seo changbin.
in the end, nothing would come of nothing and only dust follows dust; those things we do in the space between living and death — where nothing can live and no one can die — are always clandestine but teeter on meaningless. we can only have that which we are given to hold, and if there are no hands in this space of oblivion, and the omniscient eye cannot see, are we held in contempt for the arteries we burst and the chambers we disintegrate on our way to be free?

1 - hoku city is a port city where there is currently one major gang at play, named the serpens syndicate. the serpens is an old organization that was started long ago as a legitimate business selling alcoholic beverages. as time went on, they expanded their business to things less than legal, and their control over the port makes them strong and rich.
2 - hoku city recently became a prohibition city though it is not well maintained. the serpens is older than the prohibition laws and has many ways to circumvent the system, though the police force is becoming savvy to their m.o.
3 - the current leader of the serpens is ernest meunier. he has an heir, diane meunier. ernest's right hand man was the late byeonghwa, who has a daughter, soyeon. byeonghwa died and soyeon, groomed to inherit his place, keeps ernest informed with the aid of older informants, who are slowly "aging out" of the life of crime.
4 - diane meets bang chan, a recent police academy graduate, when scouting for police officers the serpens will add to their payroll. she keeps their meeting and acquaintance a secret from all others, barring san, her bodyguard and friend.

what tattoos does nari have?
a/n: thank u SO MUCH for requesting! i hope you like this and nari’s tattoos! much love to u, bae <3
nari’s tattoos and its’ meanings !
Tumblr media
— she has 5 tattoos! as soon as she was of age, nari did her first one and since then she LOVES doodling on her skin, though she wants to get even more tattoos on her body.
1. left rib tattoo — ohana.
nari’s a really family oriented girl, she loves her family and everything she does she does for them including her members, who are her second family. also, she LOVES lilo & stitch, one of the biggest stitch enthusiasts out there. so, putting these two together, she decided to tattoo the word ‘ohana’ on her skin, which means ‘family’ in hawaiian and is a quote of the movie itself.
2. left arm tattoo — butterflies.
since her nickname is ‘nabi’ and it means ‘butterfly’, she decided to get it tattoed as well. she also loves this insect, she thought and decided that it had to be on her skin as well — it also reminds her of her trainee days, when she was afraid of being alone and, on her first day there, she even got a nickname, it being her most meaningful and dear one.
3. left wrist — whatever.
when nari’s sexuality was exposed by her to the public and she got a good response, she just thought ‘whatever’ to the bad comments. she couldn’t care less about their opinion and problematic minds, all she could care about was her love for herself and the people who accepted her as she is. so, to mark on her skin that she is proud of who she is, she got the ‘whatever’ tattoo on her wrist, with the pride flag colors.
4. nape — svt units tattoo.
she adores this tattoo, it represents each unit by the drawing – arrow; vocal, heart; performance, “plus”; hiphop. she got it because she loves her group and their history together, they mean so much to her that she had to get it tattoed.
5. right arm — kidult.
‘kidult’ is one of the most meaningful song of theirs to nari, it represents her a lot. she is a kidult herself, she is wants to have no responsibilities but has to be responsible all the time because she is an adult wishing to be a kid. it’s a song that really messes with her and means a lot, so she got it on her skin — it’s probably her most favorite tattoo too, since she really relates to the song.
examples of how each tattoo looks like:

After doing some Two Related Drawings of the Same Franchise, I have recently decide to join in a New Fandom that is "Space Goofs". I've watched Season 1 a lot recently and even seen the Gameplays behind the Video Game Adaptation, "Stupid Invaders" (I have heard of its Lost Cancelled Movie despite the Trailer still being up). I also have lost All Interest in Season 2 since I've been living a Lie throughout my Childhood that it was only Five Aliens rather than just Four since Season 2 was my very first exposure to the Franchise back on my Old Streaming Days on Rovio's Streaming Service, "Toons.TV" (before it got shut down).
I was actually in its own Fandom from back then, but that wasn't because I had to pay to much any attention since My Other Former Ex-Main Fandoms (which were only the Popular Ones that everyone else knows about) were my Former Hobby until when I grew out of it since not only did I realize that had my Love for Obscurity has grown so Wild through the Past Two Decades.
So I've decided to dig up an Old OC who I once actually gave to My BFF, @luci-the-stan-18, but now, since I am going to back to one of my Dead Childhood Fandoms that are actually still active, Me and My Friend have decided to create our own Personal Multiverses of Our Own One Certain Character for the sake of our own Personal Collaboration of a Second Refresh Reboot.
Introducing My Personal Take on Our OC, Star...As a Space Goofs Character.
Back then, when I created Her as a Single OC of Mine (before my Life had changed), I've wanted her to be an Xilam OC of Mine being raised by the Five Titular Aliens (being an akin opposite story quite similar to Disney's "Lilo and Stitch" but have the Roles for the Earth-Beings and the Aliens to be "Swapped"). Like, instead of having a Story of an Stranded Alien Experiment being raised by Humankind on Earth, why not have a Story about an Abandoned Animal being raised by Stranded Extraterrestrial Life on Earth?
Since I've wanted to give an Abandoned OC of Mine a New Refreshing Start to begin early of this Personal Adaptation towards this OC, I've decided to add more to Star's Character as a Mixture (not only with "Lilo and Stitch") but rather have my own Personal Version be also a Mixture to both the Foreign Czechoslovakia FairyTale and it's Obscure Adaptation, Karel Jaromír Erben's "Otesánek" (also known as "Little Otik" by Jan Švankmajer). In My Personal Views to the Concept behind "Space Goofs", I often see the Concept alone as an Idea for an Early 2000s Kids Live-Action Movie with Early CGI or even a Surreal Foreign Live-Action Film, rather than a Foreign Kids Cartoon about Aliens disguising themselves as Humans while still trying to get back to their Home Planet.
Anyway, here's my own re-take of My Own Rebirth of an Old OC of Mine that is now Mine and @luci-the-stan-18's Character.
Star is a Tabby/British Shorthair Mixed Breed Cat and is the Former Pet/Adopted Daughter of the Space Goofs. She was the Daughter of an Alley Cat who was the Random Fling of a Stray Cat that had to take care of her own Kittens (including Star). However as both Star's Biological Mother and Siblings were dead, the only Ones left Alive where Star and one of her Siblings as The Two Kittens only survived but got separated to different homes as Star was taken in by the Five Aliens who try to give her a Proper Home but then later Took her in as a Family Pet.
After when the Stray Cat had a One Night Stand with Star's Mother, the Mother got pregnant and couldn't find where her False Lover was so she had to take of herself alone. Upon during her pregnancy on One Night, she gave birth to her Six Kittens (3 Girls and 3 Boys). Because the Mother was once born to a Loving Family but then had lost her First Owners from a Far Away Town when she was Young, she had to raise her own Kittens the Hard Way as the Family lived somewhere in the Streets beneath the City near to where the Other Stray Cats live in the Junkyard. Star's Family was extremely poor but no matter how they thrive through their lives, Mother Cat would do anything to keep Herself and her Kittens alive as she would often look After, Protect, and even hunt Food for them.
But that was all about to change.
One day, when Star and one of her Siblings were playing around in the Streets, they accidentally bumped into a Group of Rabid Stray Dogs who chased them throughout the Whole City's Streets (even through a Market Place) until when The Two Kittens finally escape the Stray Dogs' clutches by climbing through a Fence (causing one of the Dogs' heads to get stuck through it) as they instantly ran back to their own Mother. After some time after the chase, Mother Cat then thought of the idea that maybe it would be best to move within to a Hideout where No Stray Dog or Evil Human could possibly find them beneath the streets. 5 Days later, when it came through a Dark Night, when it started to Rain Hard as a Storm came, the Mother instantly took her Kittens and ran throughout the streets as fast as she could be, but it was a Huge Crazy Rainy Night as Star accidentally slipped herself through the Wet Boulevard and landed on the Roads to where Star's Mother instantly came to rescue her off the Road until a Truck came and hit the Mother off the Road. Horrified by this incident, the Kittens tried to wake up their Mother but it was too late since the Mother had her own Very Last Life out of her Nine Lives. Heartbroken by their Mother's Death, Star and her Siblings had to flee themselves through the Streets without their Dead Mother but unfortunately, all of that ends in Another Tragedy when Star's siblings accidentally slip into the Stream from the Rain as the Kittens were trying to swim in order to escape. Luckily, Star had to be the one to survive from the Waterfall as she managed to climb up the Boulevard as she was about to rescue her own Siblings by grabbing a Gigantic Flower Steam as the Siblings had to hold on when Star held on to her own Rope as her Siblings managed to climb up to get to their Sister but when the Steam broke, they were all pulled from the current of the Water as they all fell right through the Sewer. They all drowned from the Water into the Sewers, only Star was Left Alive (but One Other Sibling was perhaps alive too). Only then, did Star had to survive throughout the Terrible Rain when she lost her own Biological Family and had to rested for the Night in a Small Neighborhood (which is where her true story begins).
The Next Morning, Star wakes up and finds herself in a Neighborhood within the City, only then does she look around and find herself within a Place where Citizens live in their own Houses. Upon the Kitten's Curiosity, she tried to find any House to have shelter in but none of the Humans seem to notice the Kitten at the Neighborhood's streets until she then stumbles upon a Big Mysterious Blue Mansion behind the Gates which already caught her attention as she went through the Gates and right into the Mansion. At first, what the Mansion from the Inside did seem very quiet compare to the rest of the Neighbors as she explored from around the House. What Star didn't know is that she was deeply unaware that she was somehow being watched from the Five Space Creatures beneath the Attic that the Goofs have found their New Victim to kick her out on so that she wouldn't recognize the Aliens that are hidden within the Big House alone. When Star discovered a big nose from upstairs when she heard weird sounds coming from up the Mansion, she journeyed herself upstairs & upon her own surprise from the Attic was none other than the Aliens themselves. Scared at first, the Kitten immediately screamed as she ran out of the House & went back on the Streets as she hid herself from the Blue Mansion. While she was originally thinking of going back to the Big City, she realizes that a Gigantic World is no place for a Young Cat herself to adventure out there alone so she decides to make the Neighborhood a New Place to live in as she would then sneak herself in away from the Humans in the Neighborhood (especially the Aliens themselves).
When a Family moved next Door of the Space Goofs' Mansion as New Neighbors came by, the Space Goofs disguised themselves as Humans in order to now have to contact with their New Neighbors from Next Door as the New Neighbors decide to welcome themselves to the Disguised Goofs, Star makes her own move to sneak in the Space Goofs' mansion in order to pick up the attention of the Other Family (so that she can be adopted by the Humans). But as the Parents didn't recognized her, the Family's Daughter by the name of "Ambre Lou" (aka the Girl from the Cancelled Movie, "Stupid Invaders") noticed that there was a Cat hidden somewhere around in their House and asked the Disguised Aliens if they did had a Pet Cat to in which response they answered "No" because they didn't had a Cat (which causes the Goofs to believe that the Orange Kitten that they saw before has come back).
After the visit, the Goofs decided to find out on where the Kitten might've been again but Etno decided to confront the Kitten by himself as he found Star hidden in the Bush from their Backyard. Etno wanted to have a reason with Star on why she came back after investing their Hideout but the Poor Kitten looked very scared since she was very dirty, lost, and abandoned. Feeling sympathy for the Poor Cat, Etno decides to take Star back to their House where He and the Goofs decide to give the Poor Kitten some shelter.
For awhile as the Poor Kitten was now being taken care of thanks to the Aliens, Star decides to roam around their Attic while the Goofs mind their own Business but when she stumbles upon Etno's Lab, she finds his Scientific Potions as drinks one of Etno's Chemicals which causes her to give her own Talkative Voice.
When the Goofs find out on what she had been sneaking through in one of their Rooms, the Kitten apologized as she explained her Whole Backstory of why she came into the Neighborhood as she explains the Tragedy of her Family and that she's very sorry for trespassing their own House. When the Goofs began to felt such sympathy for the Poor Cat, they felt like wanted to raise her and give their House a New Home (especially Candy) but Etno figured out a plan that if they were to give her a New Home, they might as well sell her to the Humans for a New Home but the rest of the Goofs (except for Gorgious) disagree with the idea of selling the Abandoned Cat to the Humans (especially with Candy) but Etno believes that if they were to give an Adoptable Animal to a Human, it might still keep them safe from the Humans if they were to find out their True Identities. Leaving with No Choice, they helped the Kitten to be adopted for free in order to have any of the Humans have a New Animal as a Pet.
When the New Neighbors' Daughter recognizes the Same Kitten that she last saw, she notices something very suspicious about their Neighbors' Concerned about their "Pet" since Star kept being Adopted by New People but no matter how she tried to live within their House, None of the Humans seem to either Care or weren't Just Good Owners for the Young Animal as she would keep running back to the Goofs every time when her Adoption kept failing.
When the Goofs had enough of trying to get rid of her, they decided to keep her and even continue to take care of her as she was all Healthy now. They decide to name her "Star" (only because she didn't like being kept called "Kitty") as Star now had to live with the Space Goofs for Shelter until when Etno can finally find a New Home for Her for the Humans.
However, as the Weeks came for Star's shelter life being taken care of by the Stupid Invaders, she does get along with the Goofs very well.
Candy Mothers her a lot while treating Star as if she was his Daughter. Gorgious tends to spoil her a lot after not being interest in her at first until he started to grow fond of her as if she was his own niece.
Bud loves Baby Animals and adores Star as they often hang out together (either if they play or watch TV).
Stereo likes to teach Star on how to read and to be smart, but like Bud, they would usually hang out with her like a Sister.
Etno's case is far the Most and Main Relationship out of the bunch since Star grows fond to like Etno since he was the first one who found her as the Two have a Mutual Father and Daughter Relationship.
But whenever the Goofs are in disguised to blend within the Human Society, they would usually act as if they were a Family with Star being their own Pet of the Group (even if she's still not officially adopted) whenever they tend to go out shopping or to visit their own Neighbors as Guests, even Star made Friends along the Way who are also Pets of the Other Neighbors.
One Day, during a Birthday Party at one of the Neighbors' Houses when the Disguised Aliens were invented, Ambre Lou finds out that Star can actually talk after when she spoke accidentally when she got out of the Restroom for Ambre Lou always knew that there was something suspicious going on with her Neighbors Next Door (that being the Supposed Aliens). But Star encourages the Girl not to tell anyone the truth behind her Caretakers' True Identities or else, Evil Scientists out there might hurt them and that she would be all alone all over again. Fearing as if though that the Great Big Fear might come anytime soon if anyone else would start to notice besides than Her, Ambre Lou made a deal with the Cat not to tell anyone about the Alien Neighbors as the Next-Door Neighbor Tween would keep Star's true owners a huge secret from anyone else. Although while the Daughter truly wanted a Friend to hang out with, She and Star somehow start to become friends for whenever the Next-Door Neighbor Family would visit the Goofs' home, the Child and the Kitten would often hang out with each other as they started to grow a Friendship bond between One Another.
After growing such a Mutual Family with the Space Goofs for 2 Months, sadly, her own Shelter comes into an end when Etno had recently met one of the Neighbor Families (which happens to be the Owners of One of Star's Friends) as he signed Star for adoption to a Human Family which shocks the Entire Goofs but it also heartbreaks Star since they had made a promise to take care of her which clashes into an Argument as the Group wouldn't allow to take Star to any Human but Etno assures that it is best for Her if the Humans were to find out their true nature which causes Star to think that maybe Etno's right and that it is for the best to keep their own identity safe.
Regardless of the Disagreement, Star agrees to the adoption as she is now sold to one of her Friends' Owners but she proudly thanks Etno and his Crew for taking care of her as Star was now sold to her New Owners of Humans.
The Next Day when Star and her New Owners are on a Weekend Vacation near a Beach, a Bounty Hunter by the name of "Bolok" (who was hired by Mad Scientist, Dr. Saccharin) was said to capture both the Aliens and the Kitten so that the Scientist could have an experiment on the both of them as Bolok then sees the Family's House and suspects that this must be where the Aliens' Former Pet must be at.
When the Bounty Hunter arrives at the Door, he starts to ask the Family questions at first if they had noticed something suspicious about one of the Neighbors that being the Aliens themselves (which shocks Star as she hides behind the Furniture, fearing that maybe her Alien Friends have might been targeted for experimentation).
Tired of the Confusing Questions, Bolok starts to instantly freeze Star's Human Owners with an Ice Razer Gun which causes Star to hide from herself but when the Alien Assassin recognizes her for the very first time, the Kitten had to face up the Alien Hunter alone.
Bolok starts to ask Star such suspicious questions on what her Old Alien Friends had been up to through a plan this whole time as the Professional knew where exactly The Orange Kitten had been hiding from when he had heard that she was the last surviving member of her own Family and that the Aliens stole her away as he assumed that her own Talking Voice was from the Aliens who had been experimenting Her like a Test Animal.
Star denies on what Bolok is saying was Highly False as she was never meant to be a target that would lead to where the Space Goofs' true hideout is. Ignoring from the Actual Truth, as Bolok was about to kidnap the Orange Kitten to take her, Star's Puppy Friend (Cleo) instantly bites Bolok on the leg, causing him to scream (while accidentally blasting the Roof from the Vacation House) which causes Star to immediately run away from the Hunter through a Wild Chase scene of Many Hijinks throughout the Whole Chase but when Bolok instantly crashes into a Farm (mostly like with Chickens), Star adventures herself on the Road to get to the Space Goofs so she can warn them that they're being hunted.
Back at the Space Goofs' Neighborhood, when Star then returns to the Blue Mansion after a Wild Goose Chase, the Goofs are confused on why she came back after when they gave her a Last New Family of Humans to live in, but Star confronts them telling them that they're going to be captured by the Evil Scientists and their Bounty Hunter who founded her. Feared by the Dreadful News, Etno decides to come up with a Plan to stop the Alien Hunters from preventing into going into their own House, so they all team up to start doing some Booby Traps before the Bolok and Other Hitmen that Dr. Saccharin hired would come and get them.
When the Alien Hunters start to investigate the Entire House just to find on where the Aliens and their Cat are hiding, but that's when the Booby Traps come in as they easily step or come across in, things start to go wildly crazily as the Alien Hunters try to survive literally every hijink throughout the House's Traps until when nobody can survive through the Alien Traps, they all instantly leave and fail to capture them.
After the Whole Booby-Trap thing, the Gang were relieved that all of the Alien Hunters were out thanks to their Traps, However, one stood up and didn't get Booby-Trapped with them was Bolok as he quickly step in from behind and grabbed Star from the Back which shocks the Whole Goofs that One Last Hitman didn't get fall into their Traps. Failing to stand up to the Hunter, Bolok instantly points the Aliens with his Razer Gun as they all had to come outside of the Door to reveal themselves as the Kidnappers caught the Aliens (and the Cat) as they bring them to the Scientists but when Bud quickly opens the Truck Door, Star escapes, leaving the Aliens behind to get experimented.
Star fears that she doesn't make it in time to save them, they might get trapped forever. So she comes to Ambre Lou and asks her for Help after explaining on what happened. Agreeing upon this Deal, Ambre Lou calls all of Her Friends (as well as their own Pets) in a Mission to stop Dr. Saccharin before it's all too late.
The Rescuers managed to get inside of Area 52 (which is located around in the Desert) after a Long Road Trip Journey through the Spaceship that they've used from the Aliens' House as they were far away from the City, Ambre Lou's Friends along with their own Animal Companions managed to distract the Scientists while Star and Ambre Lou make a run for it. When The Goofs are inside of tubes, Dr. Saccharin is glad that Bolok had finally caught them after he ordered Igor to kick Bolok out without paying as Saccharin has plans to experiment the Five Aliens and then Blast their Home Planet (Zigma B) but when a Loud Sound disturbs the Doctor, Saccharin and Igor go and investigate it, only to find that there was Nothing there, being deeply unaware if it was the Kids and their Pets that were making all of that Noise. It all turns into a Big Huge Trap for the Scientists as they were completely locked out, thanks to one of Star's Friends as Star and Ambre Lou free the Space Goofs out of the Tube. As the Goofs are completely glad that they are being rescued, they realized on how that now they've got to get out of here before Saccharin even blasts their Original Home (meaning that they've got to stop the Evil Scientist first before quickly going back home).
But when the Space Goofs and their Animal Rescuers are all caught by the Evil Scientists and the Security Guards (who also caught the Human Rescuers), Dr. Saccharin (along with Igor who have both got out of their trap), is very unamused to see Children freeing the Aliens out in disappointment but his attention draws when he notices the Kitten that they've completely forgot about and that he realized that he should've have experimented on the Kitten first before he could get his stumpy little hands on the Aliens. Repulsed by this, The Space Goofs and Star immediately flee away from the Scientists after when Ambre Lou pulled the Lever as Saccharin and Igor fall in, which leads into a Gun Battle between the Kids & The Animals vs. The Adults, as The Space Goofs & their Kitten run in the Hallways to get into Dr. Saccharin's Space Ship.
They finally made it to the ship as the Goofs felt very excited about going Home using someone's Rocket, but Star feels very sad about this. Because she knows that when the Space Goofs go home, they may never see each other again but Etno assures Star that maybe she should join Ambre as she could take good care of her in a New Home, but that he promises that maybe someday they might see each other again in Flight once they're finally back in Space.
But they're are immediately stopped by Dr. Saccharin when he closes down the Door shut permanently through a button and grabs Star by the Neck, threatening to kill both the Kitten and the Aliens if they don't get back inside of their Test Tubes, he'll then Test Star in a Cage.
Having enough of this Whole Slavery for Testing, Candy immediately goes all "Mama Bear" on Saccharin as he attacks Saccharin like a Wild Animal by scratching his Face which causes the Mad Scientist to drop Star as Star hangs on tight to the Cliff Floor (which is near the Edge) as the Poor Kitten meowed for help, making the Space Goofs shocked in Horror as one of the Goofs (that being Etno) stood out and rescued Star as he grabbed her by the Paw, then, throws her up back on the Ground.
The Goofs quickly aboard to the Ship as they all get inside with Saccharin inside as the Whole Family were still in conflict with the Mad Scientist when the Ship began to start taking flight.
What they didn’t realize was that the Ship itself was somewhat a Bomb (not a Zillion within it, unlike the Game version) to blast the Space Goofs’ Home Planet with a lot of Toxicity that can easily kill the Space Goofs when they get back to their Home Planet, they’ll quickly die within the Bomb inside, in which they've realized that they're gonna be doomed of death along with their Home Planet. As Saccharin was about to take advantage of the Ship that they were in, Star instantly jumps up to scratch the Doctor to bite him to distract the Space Goofs so they needed to figure out how to stop the Bomb from dropping down on Zigma B. While a Big Huge Fight had to lash on out during the Flight takeover with the Scientist fighting against the Space Goofs with his own Ray Gun, Star instantly saves the Space Goofs’ lives from the Toxic Ship as she figured it out on how to stop the Bomb by using her intelligence, in order to stop the Bomb from dropping by pressing the correct buttons.
When the Ray Gun ran out of Power, Saccharin was about to hit either one of them but when he accidentally pulls down the Lever by mistake, it causes a Big Huge Split inside of the Spaceship to fall apart separately. The Aliens and Star quickly run up the ladder into the Capsule (the First Half to where it’s still Flying) whereas Saccharin (whose on the Second Half) falls down back on Earth where the Second Half explodes, managing to survive from the Crash but ends up getting arrested by the Police after when he betrayed Bolok (who called out on him).
As soon as the Goofs were fleeing back home, they instantly get hit by a Meteor once again as they crash down back to Earth.
After the Whole Incident of what had Happened, 5 Days Later, the Goofs were already back in their Blue Mansion after when Ambre Lou and Star had to recover their true identities when the Space Goofs told Ambre Lou everything about their truth as they had to keep a Huge Secret from their Neighborhood as it was only Ambre Lou and her Friends who only know about their Neighbors being Aliens and kept it as a Secret away from Everyone Else as a Major Promise.
While Star did had to stay with Ambre Lou for the Entire Week until all of the Kidnapping had to fade away from their Memories as they needed to relax for a brief while, Star really misses the Goofs that much as she feel as if though that throughout the entire time, they did felt like they were Owners to Her as she realized that maybe she already did found a Family of her own. She asks Ambre to leave her at the Space Goofs' front door as Star goes inside of the House with the Space Goofs watching her through their own Channel in the Attic, confused on why she came back.
She then explains her Whole Memories with them downstairs as the Aliens listen through every word that she said through a Camera and that she realized that she did had already found a Family all along and that all of this time, the Space Goofs were her true owners that she first fond when she was abandoned throughout her life while she did apologized of the whole Craziness last week as she understands their pain since she always had herself being kept from the World from her Mother. Feeling the Understanding and the Guilt that was behind them the Entire Time, the Goofs had change their mind as they all ran downstairs (just before Star was about to leave) as they convinced her to stay with us as they all changed their own Minds as they now wanted Star as their own Family Cat. Even Etno did realize that maybe he was truly wrong of selling Star to a Family of Humans the Entire Time. Finally welcomed in Arms, Star was happy of the Aliens accepting her as when the Next Day as they disguised themselves as Humans, they signed the Ownership of their New Animal as Star now lives with her Alien Family throughout her life and that someday, when they all ride home, she will be joining her own life on Space far from Earth.
This Old AU of Mine involved around this OC was technically the kind of "Character Gets Adopted and Grows a Mutual Relationship with Family" sort of thing, which I know happens a lot in Stories but I still love the Whole Adoption Family trope thing, even to this day. The Main Inspirations behind Star that I drew were Mowgli from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book", Oliver from "Oliver Twist/Oliver and Company", Sophie from Roald Dahl's "The BFG", and even Janell Cannon's "Stellaluna".
As for her Anthro Form, I do have plans to develop what's more than just her Origin Story (especially with the Space Goofs) as I'll probably make develop more of My Own Third Fandom AU after my Second and First Ones.
Let's just say that after the Potion that she drank which gave her a Voice, she sooner or later becomes an Anthro throughout her Growth as she's the Town's "First Feral Animal to become Anthro".
Before anyone also dares to ask, considering that Me and @luci-the-stan-18 are sharing her for the sake of this Collaboration. Then Yes, Brady (Luci's OC) is her own Love Interest.
We're still keeping our OCXOC Couple idea but as soon as my Friend will make her own version of Star someday, she'll only use that personal version of hers in her own X-Over Multiverse AU, so we still ship Brady with Star (no matter what version) as this whole "Starverse" thing is our little Spiderverse thing.

Once More For the People in the Back:
- Lilo & Stitch is NOT about the evils of colonization.
Tumblr media
It’s about a literal alien monster with no home coming to a planet and town where he doesn’t belong and being adopted as one of their own. Even after he destroys everything they love and build. Spin that into a metaphor for how terrible colonization is, if you can.
- Lilo & Stitch is NOT about the hardships people with dark skin inherently face.
Tumblr media
It is about the hardships of people who lose family members and have to adjust to loving someone new. Nani is struggling to keep Lilo because she’s an 18 year-old orphan trying to play mom to a little sister who just needs someone to be her friend. She’s losing job opportunities because Lilo is trying to accept a destructive monster into their family with destructive results, not because she has dark skin.
- Lilo & Stitch is NOT about the evils of racism.
Tumblr media
Lilo & Stitch is about an alien learning the meaning of family. Lilo explicitly demonstrates a hatred of tourists (not white people, just tourists, because Cobra Bubbles is implied to be a tourist in the same scene.) in one scene and that scene was deleted because it took the focus away from other scenes which made the point of the film more clearly. If a bad light is put on tourism, it’s to emphasize that Lilo has a problem with people leaving—”I remember everyone that leaves; I need someone who won’t run away; You came back; nobody gets left behind.”
And finally, drumroll please:
-Lilo and Stitch is NOT about celebrating diversity.
Tumblr media
Celebrating diversity is a fine message. It’s just not the one Lilo & Stitch is delivering. You’re thinking of Ice Age 4, where all kinds of animals make up a family; or Zootopia, where all all kinds of people can perform different jobs in society.
No. Lilo & Stitch is about what family means, and that is: unconditional love. Loving you at your worst and helping you to be better.
The fact that the social worker is black, or male, has nothing to do with that main point. The fact that the Grand Councilwoman is female has nothing to do with the main point. The fact that one alien is skinny and one is fat has nothing to do with the main point. The fact that Nani and Lilo have dark skin has nothing to do with the main point—just like the fact that Stitch is blue has nothing to do with the main point.
Those factors might help in a peripheral way—(blue is the color the human brain associates with supernatural creatures; dark skin = Hawaiian = believably being brought up on the philosophy of ‘Ohana) —but you could still change any one of those things and it would remain Lilo & Stitch.
By contrast, with a film that is actually about celebrating diversity like Ice Age 4, if you change the hedgehog into another mammoth you lose the point of the story. Or in Zootopia, if you make Judy and Nick both bunnies you lose the point of the story. Diversity is a fine point. Whatever. But it’s not the point of Lilo & Stitch.
Tumblr media
FORGET what you are hearing on Twitter in relation to the Live Action Movie. You can say what you want about how much you wish a certain shade of skin were representing the characters you love.
But if, to make your point, you try to argue that the original had ANYTHING to do with specific shades of color, demonstrating colonization and racism evils, or representing the hardships of POCs trying to get a job, you are being disingenuous. Or worse, you’re just tossing the real point of the movie carelessly over one shoulder so you can wedge a cause that it was never championing in where it doesn’t fit.
Try and make your point about how skin color and representation matters all you want, but you can’t honestly do it using the example the original movie set. The point of the original movie is just bigger and better than “skin colors should be given more attention.”

How did you choose your username? :D
Hiiiii :D
There is a lot of reasons, the main one is I'm a poet and love wordplay.
I also love the moon. Like a lot. Like have you seen the freaking moon like oh my gosh she's so cool look at her I love her-
For wordplay (I love words), my username is luna-lovegreat. Luna means moon. I love the moon. I have great love for the moon. My love for the moon, for Luna, is great. You get the idea <3
I have autism and love representation in media- with my characters who were simply meant to be weird and lovable. (I also named my service dog Stitch- after Lilo and Stitch because I relate to Lilo.) Luna lovegood is one of those characters I relate to so so much and adore, so it softly references her as well. She showed my childhood self that weirdness is worth loving.
My first priority is showing kindness. I have considered changing it since I want nothing to do with the hp fandom, and do not want to remind anyone of something that hurts them. So if I come up with a different username sometime that makes me as happy I may change it so long as it has love and the moon :))
Have I mentioned that I love the moon yet :D
But yeah! Wordplay, my fave autism character, and the MOON, and saying I love the moon, like it's the moon I LOVE THE MOON
My love for the moon is great so it's fitting I think :)))

Best and Worst representation of Native Women/girls in media you had growing up?
It's a bit up to personal taste because I have a real preference for characters that "just happen to be Native" whether or not it’s a huge part of their personality. Eg. I liked Jesse from Infinity Train but some Indigenous people didn't think his culture was included enough.
As a side note there is like...no Coast Salish rep specifically that I grew up with. And though pan-Indigeneity is an issue, I do think we can all relate over similar experiences and post-contact shared culture.
It's also worth noting there just wasn't much rep when I grew up in the late 90's-early 00's. Some was good but it was mostly absent which, along with growing up surrounded by white people after we left the rez, made me really hate my features and background. People say "kids don't care about rep!!" but my "self-inserts" as a kid were blonde, blue-eyed white girls and I wanted invasive plastic surgery on my Native features well into my 20's : ))))) So : )
(Also keep in mind I only liked shows without real people until I was around 20 because I have uhhh undiagnosed something)
Under cut because I talk too much:
Best first:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not Native Hawaiian but I think Lilo and Nani were good, and the problems they dealt with are things I and many Natives can sadly relate to (child protection constantly breathing down their necks, being ripped away from family). I've also seen Native Hawaiians say it was decent rep. Also there were aliens and they were good characters in their own right. I loved them!! I love that film!! There is an issue with the character designer being a white guy who is weird about Hawaiian women……but the writing itself is good.
I grew up with Tipi Tales which was a puppet show about an Ojibwe family and I enjoyed watching it in the wee hours as a kid. Some Canadians call it 'creepy looking' but I don't experience the uncanny valley so I just liked it. I looked like the younger girl as a little kid lol.
Avatar the Last Airbender and the water tribe were cool!!! I love Katara, even if some of the fandom has been weirdly critical of her. She's 14 and has too much responsibility and trauma, guys...come one. Also I love Korra although I only watched LoK as an adult. People also weirdly hate her?! Mostly men though.
Worst or not great:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most other things Disney put out, ESPECIALLY Pocahontas. Still grinds me today that they romanticized a real little girl's trauma in that gross way.
I did have a huge crush on Chel but El Dorado has a ton of issues like demonizing Indigenous culture and oversexualizing her. Sure she awakened something in ME which is neutral, but also in people who grew up to see Native women as lesser humans or objects so...net negative.
Emperor's New Groove is definitely not culturally accurate but Yzma slays and I love her. Not a “worst” thing I just want to mention her ftftft.
Uh, overall I'm just happy there's so much MORE decent rep now in kids' media. Current examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(L->R Molly Mabray, Jesse Cosay, and Charles Little Bull)
(2 are dudes but you get where I'm going with it. I especially love Charles because he's just...a nerd. I'm happy that we get to be awkward nerd side characters now, it's so real to me.)
Also I see Simon Petrikov as Indigenous/mixed Indigenous (several possibilities, even Salish) which I won't go into here but I can. No one can change my hc btw.

Here's an ask that (probably) stands out: Tell us, your followers, about a time where you or someone else from your system rolled a natural 20. (Figuratively speaking.)
Ghost: Soph spent a long time trying to figure out a good answer to this and drew blanks. She did come up with several but they all seemed too boring to her. So I'll snag this one.
And share a picture of my Maleficent!
Tumblr media
I don't collect Funko Pops. Never had even the slightest interest in them. But Maleficent here is surprisingly one of my most cherished possessions.
Something you need to know about me is that I don't put myself out there. Ever. I like Reddit because it's safe. Nobody knows who I am there. Nobody even remembers my user name. Even on here, there's a reason I was more than happy just being known as "the host" for the first year of Soph's blog, only settling on Ghost when we decided to have a system blog.
The few times I've tried to dip my toes into something, I get scared and back out.
Being like I am, I don't actually have many accomplishments to speak of.
But I do have this one so I'm going to talk about it.
Some years back, I signed up with a fan website called... um... you know, I can't for the life of me remember what that site was called.
But that doesn't matter. There was a fan website where you could post articles, and I had recently read about The Disney Theory. This theory attempted to link together all Disney movies into a shared universe, using cameos from the various films to tie them together.
Now I grew up in the 2000s, with cartoons like Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible and American Dragon: Jake Long. All of these shows crossed over, placing them in the same universe. And with Lilo and Stitch, they could be linked to the wider shared Disney Universe.
In American Dragon: Jake Long, there was a character called The Dark Dragon. As you can see here:
Tumblr media
The Dark Dragon's color scheme bears a striking resemblance to a classic Disney villain. I'm sure you can guess who.
Tumblr media
The Dark Dragon ends up getting a makeover in season 2 with a different color scheme with the purple replaced by dark blue, but the sharp purple spikes on his back get replaced with jutting black spines resembling Maleficent's dragon form.
Tumblr media
They clearly wanted the Dark Dragon to retain his Maleficent influence, even if in a different way.
Additionally, Maleficent functions like the dragons in ADJL, having both a normal form and a dragon form.
Working off of these intentional design motifs and their connection through the Disney Theory, I theorized that the two were related somehow.
The theory that I presented was that Maleficent is the half-fairy daughter of the Dark Dragon.
And she likely would have been the World Dragon of her area. A World Dragon is a dragon that presides over a specific country in ADJL. I don't recall if the term "world dragon" is used in the show or if it's just a fan term, but the concept is very much present in the show. It's why Jake isn't just an American dragon, but he's "The American Dragon."
This would further contextualize Maleficent anger at being snubbed from Aurora's birth. World Dragons are supposed to be guardians of the magical. And during this period, humans and magical creatures were closely connected. One would imagine that a World Dragon would be highly respected, making it a severe insult when lesser fairies (who she refers to as "rabble") are invited but Maleficent is snubbed.
The site's staff would select a number of articles every week for their top list, and mine made it!
And then they sent this Maleficent Funko Pop with a letter congratulating me for making it into the top 16.
It may not be a huge accomplishment, but I'm proud of it. And I think it was really cool of them to personalized the Funko Pop to what the article was about.
To someone else, that Maleficent is a $10 toy. But to me, it's a trophy.
Unfortunately, despite common wisdom, things on the internet are not, in fact, forever. I believe the site I posted that theory on no longer exists today. But I still have my Maleficent.

Because I recently went to see WDAS' most recent film, Wish, and because it's their centennial, and because I'm currently listening to a mega-draft podcast of the films, here are my Top Ten Walt Disney Animation Studios films (not my list of personal favorites, the top ten films I would say are the top ten best of the canon):
Beauty and the Beast (1991) - an assuredly told version of the story, an outstanding score, stellar cast and voice work paired with great animation, a highlight of the medium of animation
Pinocchio (1940) - this was their second one out of the gate! i mean there's so much to admire: the shot of jiminy's perspective as he hops to geppetto's shop, the overhead shot of the town, the horror of lampwick turning into a donkey, the monstro chase, everything with figaro and cleo!!!
Sleeping Beauty (1959) - they set out to create a literal moving work of art and they did it. the tchaikovsky score and gorgeous painted backgrounds, PLUS you got The Golden Girls raising a child in the woods, "And now you shall deal with me O Prince, and all the powers of Hell!" FUCK.
101 Dalmatians (1961) - I watched this in its entirety for the first time as an adult after previously only seeing part of it once or twice and I never knew how fucking tight of a film this is. So tightly told. And it looks exciting and charming. A real gem from the studio.
Cinderella (1950) - the part when the grand duke is talking to the king about how the prince would react if the girl of his dreams showed up to the ball and they show the prince reacting to cindy walking into the ballroom, good shit. the message of "a dream is a wish your heart makes" gets a bad rap, but it's a pretty song and sentiment. also this movie has one of my favorite animated scenes where lady tremaine wakes up the stepsisters to tell them about the slipper and cinderella slowly realizes she danced with the prince the night before and she has this dreamy look on her face and then lady tremaine figures what's up and they pull in on her glowing green eyes and it's over for her. also I think this is one of the most gorgeous and elegant animated films. cinderelly, cinderelly!
The Little Mermaid (1989) - this probably wouldn't be on my list a few years ago, but with the live action adaptation this year and its entry into the National Film Registry, I've been reconsidering this movie and it's such a joyous and ✨ magical ✨ animated work with an emotional center that connects with so many who watch it. the YEARNING. ashman understood it. also, glen keane's (i believe he animated this part?) animation on the part of your world reprise is glorious with that fucking hair, pat carroll and the design of ursula, a heavenly match. and menken's delightful score. it's so good.
Aladdin (1992) - this is actually my number one personal fave, it's the VHS tape I watched the most growing up, but I think this is a good placement for it. It's beautiful to look at, it's a full-fledged animated comedy, it's the last of howard ashman's contributions, "friend like me" is one of the best animated sequences ever, aladdin was my first animated crush, i still stan jasmine, it spawned a pretty terrific spinoff series, jonathan freeman's cackle is the best villain cackle, and of course, robin. also, ron clements and john musker are kings.
Lilo & Stitch (2002) - the more time passes, the more I think this film proves itself to be a grand achievement in the canon. the amount of sentiment is just right, stitch is an entertaining creation and his connection with lilo is relatable, i mean the ending scene always gets me with the "it's broken but still good", also the fact that not another film in the canon looks like this one makes it stand out. and the ending shot of stitch's picture attached to the weathered family photo, ugh. it's also a love letter to "weird little kids". i love it.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - i mean, yeah. it's scary, it's silly, the queen's transformation into the hag still rules. "one song" is an underrated song.
The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) - this movie is legendary. the story of how it came to be is insane. i read that there is actually no completed screenplay of the movie??? that's how much they had to scramble to put this together? i would also put this on a list of great comedy films. eartha kitt, eartha kitt. i don't know what things would look like if we actually got kingdom of the sun, but we are so lucky to have this hilarious movie.

Publicly defining my OCs' relations bc I forgor. Enjoy my disaster Awoken (and robot).
The Awoken Brigade
RZ and Takara: Lilo and Stitch. Dolores and Camilo. siblings who will flip each other off when entering and turn off the lights when exiting, but can't eat alone because it "feels wrong." and RZ may be the Young Wolf but the only thing Takara is jealous of is his height.
RZ and Avraam: queerplatonic. a boy and his cat. Avraam is enamored with RZ and RZ loves Avraam so much that he helped revive him twice Allows This™. everything and nothing has changed between them since the Yang Liwei.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
RZ and Riley: RZ doesn't have a set opinion on Riley, since Riley is a New Light, but RZ was the one who brought Arsträd's (Riley's) body back from the Dreadnaught so. 👀
Takara and Avraam: Takara had a crush on Avraam on the Yang Liwei and she's finally got him!! and Avraam is just happy to have a girlfriend after all these years. Corgi and Saint Bernard vibes.
Avraam and Riley: Avraam was a "friend of a friend" with Arsträd [before he died] and that dynamic hasn't changed much with Riley. Avraam does mentor Riley whenever he can, as Riley has found himself a bit of an outcast with other Awoken.
Tumblr media
bonus
RZ and Crow: queerplatonic, maybe mutual pining, definitely complicated. Uldren aside, RZ had(?) crush on Crow and never figured out if it was romantic; and Crow admires RZ deeply but insists it's "like a bromance." the situation gets even more complicated when RZ's [definitely romantic] crush on Ada and Crow's relationships with Jolyon / Amanda (and @onyeenhok's OC Mitch) are factored in. they'll figure it out... maybe.
