as a possibly autistic but definitely neurodivergent person i get cats, like goddamn
people always compare autistic people to cats as a joke but there are some real similarities that don’t actually mean anything in reality
it does however mean i look get along with cats really well and get really confused why other people can’t just learn to read some (pretty obvious, in my opinion) body language stuff and get along with cats too
like watch one video, read one article, for goodness sake look at an infographic, and you might learn some really useful stuff
like here’s where to let cats if you don’t know them, here’s how to approach them, also, they can get over stimulated when being pet so learn the signs and leave ‘em alone
‘i keep getting scratched and bit’ well mf the cat bristled, gave you a warning bat, was waving their tail anxiously, had their ears back, tried to back away, and hissed
you decided to keeping on petting the obviously in distress cat, like tf you except bitch??
anyway that’s how autistics are treated too
my mom treats cats and i the same way and one of us even has words. it’s not great, and it’s damn common too
#she’s a very touch-y person#loves hugs and friendly brushes#likes to touch hair for some reason to ‘your curls are so pretty’#i back away i am obvious not enjoying it eventually i’d snap and immediately get in trouble#she likes petting cats and does so more for her enjoyment then the animal’s even if she doesn’t realize it and kids seem to understand+#+why an animal wouldn’t want her attention#if said animal runs away or hurts her she’s mad at the aniaml bc it’s obvious it’s the cat’s fault#people treat autistic (and neurodivergent) people the same way#people really need to learn how to view something from any perspective but their own#not sure any of this makes sense or is actually applicable but im frustrated and loving on my kitty#(by sitting near him and chilling bc he’s done being pet)#(we got in a ton of good chin scitches tho before he got tired)#🌿

Was wandering how the crew would react to a reader with animalistic beahavior (reader that acts like an animal something).
Like how a dog would be possessive of smt, tounge hanging out, suddenly extremely happy, or like a cat doing long stretches and sleeping in small conners.
P.S this is my first request and I really like your format of writing, keep up the good work 👍.(if you don't want to do this I completely understand, it is a rather strange request so no need to fell bad😗)
Characters: Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Husker, Angel, Niffty, Sir Pentious & Lucifer
Warnings: None.
A/N: That's a totally fine request! I'm glad you like my writing :} Thanks for the ask Anon and sorry for taking so long.
𖤓Charlie
• Finds you adorable, she enjoys your shenanigans and makes sure that you don't feel ashamed by them, it's something you can't control.
• She has experience with taking care of pets, like Kiki, Razzle and Dazzle; so she totally would make the space around you comfortable for you to act the way you want. I also think that Kiki would sometimes hiss at you for no reason but Charlie is trying her best to make Kiki like you more.
• She would ask if you were okay with her petting you sometimes, she's not malicious or anything, she just truly loves seeing how your face would immediately soften with her touch.
• Likes when you sleep close to her, all curled up in couch or in bed, your presence helps her relax when she ends up too stressed trying to make the hotel work.
𖤓Vaggie
• She's not the biggest animal enjoyer but wouldn't mind you doing your own thing. She does have some experience since she helped Charlie take care of her own pets but watching someone that was previously a human act like that makes her side-eye a few of your actions.
• Would be more helpful if your demon form is similar to a bird, if you had wings she would offer herself to peel your feathers and clean them up so you don't have to do it alone. She was a angel before and had to do the same things but she won't tell you that part.
• You would end up scaring her sometimes tho, she would be going down stairs to grab some water and she would see your figure just down the hall, eyes shining in the shadows as your head quickly turned to look at her, making it even more creepy. She stares at you for a few moments before slowly going back up without her water.
• That would keep happening until she just got used to it and started having midnight snacks with you, even falling asleep with you curled up around her in the couch, she suffers from insomnia and your presence makes her fall asleep easier, but she always wakes up earlier than you so you're always alone in the couch by the morning.
• Stills thanks you thought, in a way no one hears, she's too embarrassed to admit to everyone she has trouble sleeping but you don't mind keeping it a secret, especially when she's being way nicer to you.
𖤓Alastor
• Finds you amusing, I imagine him being rather surprised when he first saw you demonstrate your more animal side, probably thinking at first that you were stupid or something.
• He already likes to mess with Husker, treating him like an actual pet so you would be no different, you may not own your soul to him but living under the same roof means having to deal with his annoying treatment towards you.
• Would pull you around with him and present you to people as if you were his actual pet, ordering you around and making you fetch things for him. And he always talks with you in the most forced cute voice ever, now you get why Husker hates this guy.
• If you ever try to intimidate him by pretending you're going to bite him or something along those lines he'll simply give you a stern look and a slightly more forced smile before saying something along the lines of “What a fiesty one.”. To put it simple, he likes to make your life miserable and there's no way to get rid of him.
𖤓Husker
• He's also technically a animal, he looks more like a cat than he looks human at least and had to deal with controlling his instincts as well, he understand your struggles and will be there to help you control them.
• If your sinner form was more cat-like than he would find it easier to teach you but has advices for other animal related demon forms as well, he makes sure you feel good with yourself.
• But a few of his own animal behaviors would show up by default because you're there. He would rub his face against your arms, his ears would peark up when he hears your voice and there were multiple ocasions were you two feel asleep curled up around each other.
• But you do similar stuff as well so he feels less pathetic when letting his cat side win for a few minutes. Just never dare to talk about how he purrs around you, he'll have your head if you do so.
𖤓Angel
• He enjoys annoying you and making bad sexual jokes about your behavior (like calling you a pussy out of nowhere or something along those lines). He also totally would play pranks that would awaken your more animalistic side.
• Like, I imagine you're literally just chilling on the lobby's couch and then suddenly there's one of those cat lasers moving all around the place and you can't help but chase it around while he's laughing loudly in the background.
• Takes photos of you when you're not looking, but not normal distracted photos, he only takes them when you're doing something embarrassing. The only sweet photos he has of you are the ones you're with Fat Nuggets, be with him sleeping in your lap or just playing with him.
• Would probably buy you a dog-collar for your birthday as a prank, but it actually looks kind nice, being all decorated and having you name in the pendant so if you somehow don't feel too embarrassed to use it he would give you a sly smile before coming back to do whatever he does normally.
𖤓Niffty
• If you have any animal characteristics she'll totally stop everything she's doing to play with your tail/ears/wings or whatever you have, you're a walking fluff ball for her.
• Would insist on helping you bathe, she actually knows ways that not even you knew to keep your hair and fur/wings clean and soft. She would make sure you're all cleaned up.
• Would be more than pleased to receive dead animals if you bring them to her. She would make them onto furniture around the hotel and her room or just turn part of them into accessories.
𖤓Sir Pentious
• Secretly finds you adorable, like, have you seen the way he looked at Kiki when she sat on his lap? He's a total sucker for animals but pretends he isn't.
• You can catch his pupils growing bigger and his eyes shine while he looks at you do anything that resembles a small animal, like stretch yourself, get a sudden burst of energy or sit in high places at the hotel, he tries to play it cool when he notices you’re looking at him but is terrible at hiding that he was staring.
• Would build things for you if you asked him, sometimes without you even asking, for you to put out those animal instincts in more healthier ways insitead of on the hotel, and would keep it a total secret, he doesn't want to make you embarrased.
• He would ask, in a very timid way if he can pet you, if you ask why he wants to pet you he would probably say something among the lines of: “B-because I'm petting EVERYONE HERE!”
𖤓Lucifer
• He loves animals, he helped create some of them back in the days when he was still in heaven so he has a special place in his heart for them, if your sinner form has animal characteristics you can be sure he'll be orbiting around you in pure bliss.
• Asks you a lot of questions on how your body works, what's your diet, how much time it took for you to adjust, even more personal questions, he's kinda oblivious to the fact that you may be uncomfortable with them, he's just so curious (even more if you so happen to have a sinner form similar to a bird).
• Would have a special area designed just for you in his Apple Tower in the hotel where you like to hang out for a big part of the day, watching him build his ducks or anything else he's feeling like building that day. He eventually breaks the silence between him and you when he has a new question to ask but tries to let you be as much as possible.
• When you do anything that he remotely finds adorable, he will start talking in those sweet voices that you use to talk to pets or babies, he's not treating you like an actual animal, he just can't contain his adoration for your behaviors to himself, don't worry, he won't talk to you like that in public, not after he notice how uncomfortable you looked in front of the others. He'll save his reactions for when you two are just by yourselfs.

Dear @catwingsathena,
Thank you for sending in an application to be matched with one of our service dragons! Your needs and preferences suggest that a slightly older dragon would probably suit you best. A juvenile is easier to train for specific tasks, but a little less predictable and would also be more work for you. Right now we have two dragons in our training program that might be a good match:
Philly, a very steady, flightless dragon that weighs about 5 kilo's. She ended up in our shelter because her wings are no longer able to support her and we started training her when we noticed how clever and social she is. We are confident that she will be able to give all the assistance you need, including guarding the showers while you are in it. But while she is also very cuddly, she's not really playful. She's rather serious for a dragon and tends to ignore other animals.
Bagel, a rare crossbreed between what we guess must have been a common pocket dragon and a freshwater dragon. She adores water and is very curious and affectionate, also towards other pets. None of your requirements should give her any trouble, but we do think you might need to give her her own bracelet to hoard for herself, or she might try to keep yours.
If either or both of those sound like a good fit to you, we'd love for you to come to the shelter some day soon to meet them. It's a cliché, but the dragon really does pick the owner, and it's hard to tell what personality suits you best until you're face to shout with them!
~ The Domestic Dragon Trust
PS. We have enclosed your application form below.
Service Dragon Application Form
Size: I would prefer a dragon on the larger side of the pocket dragon size range—large enough to cuddle properly and be a pleasant weight on my lap (if I’m sitting up) or chest (if I’m lying down), but not so heavy that walking around with them in a cross-body messenger bag would be cumbersome or hard on my shoulders. Maybe roughly rabbit-sized?
Skills: the primary supports I would need from a service dragon are self-care reminders and light assistance, primarily with meals, meds, and showers. I struggle enough with showers that it might be useful for me to have a dragon who enjoys playing in water enough to want to get in the shower with me, but if that’s not possible, hanging out just outside the curtain and making reassuring sounds would be more than satisfactory. It would also be very helpful if my dragon could bring my migraine rescue meds when needed, encourage me to get up and stretch my legs if I’ve been at the computer too long, and/or pester me into eating and drinking water if I haven’t in a while. I don’t have nightmares terribly often (maybe twice a month on average, these days), but when I do I would greatly appreciate it if my dragon could wake me up. I’d also appreciate if they could grab my medical ID bracelet if I leave it on my bed or try to leave the house without it.
Personality: as I mentioned before, a cuddly dragon is a must. An ability to tolerate or even enjoyment of water would be helpful, for both shower purposes and because I live in an area with a lot of rain and like to go walking in it. Still, while playfulness is nice and an interest in finding things would be very helpful, I think I would do better with a fairly calm, laid-back dragon. My sleep schedule is very erratic (not because of when I go to bed or get up, just insomnia), so I would need a dragon who won’t be bothered by me being awake for hours in the middle of the night and getting up or turning on lights—the ability to nap when an opportunity presents itself might help, and I’d like it if they could sometimes hang out on my bed with me while I’m writing or resting (preferably without interfering with my typing too much).
Living Situation: I go back and forth between two houses approximately every other week. Both houses have at least one cat, and one of the houses also has a small dog (who is never allowed in my room, where I spend most of my indoor time). I spend long stretches of time walking around the block or going on the swingset at the park, and I love being outside in the rain. I also spend a lot of time sitting in my bed—it’s where I do most of my reading and writing, as well as resting. I have a part-time job to which I probably couldn’t bring my dragon for a variety of reasons, but my shifts are 4 hours, so I won’t be away too long.

Gamer Yui is a soft girl with a strong interest in cute and relaxing games.
Yui will always put a box of chocolates in her playroom to enjoy while playing.
Yui's game treats are mostly sweet things because they lift her spirits and make her happy.
Yui does not perform well in group games and prefers to play solo games because she gets nervous and upset if she does not perform well in group games.
While playing, Yui does not like anyone to judge her, she just simply wants to enjoy her game, that's why she prefers to play solo.
If Yui's partner joins her and accompanies her in the game, Yui will be very happy.

Yui's partner enjoys her little smiles while playing.
Every time Yui wins a game, she screams like a child and screams with joy.

Yui loves animals and loving them is even cute in games for Yui.
Yui may also enjoy playing Pokemon.
Seeing different creatures with different names and cute shapes is attractive for Yui.
Yui may also enjoy otome games.
For her, otome games are like reading a romance novel, and Yui loves to see how much a young couple loves each other.
Yui may blush during Otome games. But she finds these games cute.
Yui's playroom aesthetics:
Yui likes to decorate her playroom with pink things.
The theme of Yui's game stuffs will be pink and white, since these colors can be a good description of her personality and her taste in games.
Yui likes to always have a container of sweet snacks in her playroom.
Yui enjoys putting up posters of anime characters in her room.
Yui may like an anime girl character very much and admire her kindness and beauty.
She puts the poster of that girl in her room and always looks at her to try to be like her.
Yui likes her room to be colorful and bright, so she might put some pink lights in her room.
This room will be a perfect pink and white room for a soft and cute girl.
Yui's monitor will always show a beautiful photo of a nature with a pink theme.
Her things will always be in order on her desk and sometimes she may fall asleep while playing games with headphones in her ears.
Yui's partner enjoys Yui's lovely and soft personality even while playing and admires her cuteness.

Best Underrated Anime Group J Round 2: #J7 vs #J3
#J7: Lecherous young man gets engaged to an alien princess
#J3: Cat demon stuck in cat form, gets adopted as a pet.
Details and poll under the cut!
#J7: Urusei Yatsura (2022)
youtube
Summary:
When aliens known as the Oni threaten to invade the Earth, they promise to leave under one condition—a randomly-chosen human must win a one-on-one game of tag against Lum, the beautiful daughter of the Oni leader. The “lucky” person selected happens to be the lustful and unlucky high-schooler Ataru Moroboshi. Given 10 days to attempt to grab Lum’s horns, Ataru realizes how impossible the challenge is as he is faced with Lum’s extraterrestrial powers.
Motivated by a promise of marriage from his childhood friend Shinobu Miyake, Ataru manages to catch Lum off guard. He mistakenly grabs hold of her bikini top first, but he eventually achieves his true goal. Although the game is over, Lum misunderstands that she is the one whom Ataru wants to marry, and she decides to move in with him. The poor student constantly tries to shake off the clingy Lum while doing his best to reconcile with his desired fiancée. After Ataru's heroic feat results in such a disastrous outcome, it is questionable whether luck will ever be on his side.
Propaganda:
This anime is actually a reboot; the original came out in the 80s. It honestly does the manga justice compared to the 80s anime. I absolutely love the animation, it really does stick to Rumiko Takahashi’s art style. Though the pacing is a bit different, overall it stays true to its manga counterpart. (It’s honestly too bad the series isn’t very popular in the west, it’s a great comedy/harem type show. And the thing is, it’s not your traditional harem where “the basic guy gets all the girls” which makes the show so much more enjoyable.) Everything about this show really captures the essence of the series. It’s able to be funny while still having its more serious moments. I just really love Urusei Yatsura, it’s so good.
Trigger Warnings: The art style is very colorful and could cause eyestrain
#J3: Legend of Luo XiaoHei (series) (Luo XiaoHei Zhan Ji)
Summary:
XiaoHei is a young cat demon training to be an Executor, someone who maintains the balance between humans and demons. His first mission as a trainee was to steal the Sky Pearl. He succeeded, but he also got injured enough to be unable to revert to his human form. Stuck in his cat form, he gets adopted by the human girl XiaoBai as a pet. The story then follows XiaoHei’s adventures as a pet cat in a human home while also evading the pursuit of his enemy, Diting.
Propaganda:
Legend of Luo Xiaohei, at first glance, is a fun kiddy series with cute art. But the more you learn of the story, the more you realize how much thought is put into every little detail. The creator’s worldbuilding is so intricate. It’s like Adventure Time in that you think it’s all fun and games, but there’s actually so much more to it. There’s even a manhua for the side characters featuring their lives from thousands of years ago!
A lot of information will be slowly unfolded, but not once does it feel overwhelming to the viewer. Following XiaoHei’s point of view, we get to see glimpses of the wider lore, piquing our curiosity.
In the world of LXH, demons and cultivators/immortals exist, but they don’t usually cross paths with ordinary humans because they keep their existence/powers a secret. XiaoHei himself has had little interactions with humans aside from his master. It isn’t until XiaoHei meets XiaoBai that he actually learns more about them and their way of life. Slowly, he gets drawn to the human life and also learns to have fun just like the human kids his age.
Season 1 presents to us XiaoHei’s daily life with his friends, so it’s more slice-of-life with the supernatural simply peppered around. It never gets boring, though, because there’s this ever-present tension of XiaoHei having to keep his identity a secret. We also get to meet a lot of intriguing characters, like XiaoBai’s “brother,” who helps XiaoHei fight against Diting.
Season 2, on the other hand, is more action-packed. The plot for s2 is the Executors guild seeking humans with talent in cultivation. They screen them through a virtual reality game where they can emulate the use of powers. XiaoHei’s final test as Executor also takes place here.
I personally think the best aspect of this show is its hype fight scenes, but that’s just me craving stimulation. At its core, LXH is really a heartwarming story about a young demon learning that there is more to life than powers and fighting. Sure, the supernatural stuff is interesting, but beyond that, it’s a story of love—It’s about XiaoHei making friends and discovering what it is he really wants to do without fear of losing what he calls his home, for home will always be with him.
Overall, Legend of Luo Xiaohei is a nice, warm show that you can binge on a slow day without missing out on the excitement a story with an overarching plot brings. Do give it a try.
P.S.: This series takes place about three years after the events in the movie (which has the same title in Chinese, but is more known as simply “Legend of Hei” in English). The series aired first before the movie, though, so it doesn’t matter.
Trigger Warnings:
Child death in s2 (it’s fake, but the characters’ reactions feel so real)
Not really a trigger, but just in case: Teens/adults bullying children. XiaoHei is a great fighter, and the people that can match with him are only those older than him.

still cant get over travailshipping. i remember when you first tested the waters with it (which i believe was some time before the tpiag chapters started coming out?) and at first i thought it was pretty funny. ark slowly but surely falling headfirst for twig, who if she had a tagline it would be "if i could turn my feelings into weapons, mine would be a goddamn nuclear bomb", and her at first just being oblivious to it and thinking that the letters that expressed love and care that were written in cursive in her mailbox were just funny and she wanted to show them to ark with the guy just looking at her with the most "well that backfired in the weirdest way possible". but when tpiag finally ended i finally connected the dots as to why these two are just. augh. i wont go into detail here in your askbox but i wanna know is: HOW DID YOU DO IT. HOW DO YOU KEEP MAKING SUCH GOOD IDEAS FOR THE FUNNY DIGITAL ANIMALS. TELL ME.
(thinking to myself) "Ugh I should stop posting so much travailshipping stuff... It's probably so annoying to everyone who sees it. I feel bad for my poor followers. I'll check my inbox real quick and then commit to shaking up my content by—" *gets obliterated by your niceness*
Oh man. I remember posting that poll where I hesitantly described a possible Darkrai/Twig pairing in the tags while proposing Twig/Kip as an alternative route, despite it not being the direction I wanted to take the characters, because I was so scared of what people’s reactions might be. If I remember right, I posted it a little bit before I had just barely reached 5k words in the first draft of TPiaG.
I've been trying to write up detailed responses to how I come up with good ideas for travailshipping in particular, but there's one rule I use that defines everything after it and speaks for all of them: I have fun with the characters.
That's it. That's the rule. If I don't want to write a subject, I don't. I stick with what I find enjoyable and resonant. Does a joke make me laugh? Does a scene make me cry? Does a villain make me punch a hole in my wall? Does a cute gesture make me squeal? If so, then into the project it goes. I think people can feel when someone is having fun with their work, and that fun radiates out into their own experience consuming that work. It's like laughter— joy is something we're sharing with others as long as we feel it. Fun is contagious.
Also: when you don't force yourself to make things you hate, you attract people who like the same things as you. These people will find your work even more fun— because not only did you have fun making it, they're having double fun consuming it.
An important tangent I'll go off on is that I think that every creative project idea is a good idea. There's so many beloved bizarro ideas in the world, even the ones who try to be cool about how weird their premises are. There's this weird show where the main character works as a service industry worker in an underwater setting that's ruled by a Roman deity— he lives in a piece of fruit, and his pet gastropod makes cat noises. This show sounds like word salad garbage on paper and could be tossed out for its nonsensical nature, and yet SpongeBob SquarePants has made Nickelodeon over $13 billion dollars and is a treasured part of many childhoods. There's also a character who spends his time locked in intellectual and physical combat with a wannabe clown and wears a costume with bat ears while doing it. Batman's been an icon for over 80 years.
All of this is to say:
Ideas are always good ideas by virtue of existing. They don't derive their goodness from external sources. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Make more of what you love. Don't make things you hate making.
If you have fun while making the thing, people will have fun while they consume the thing's content.
I hope this makes sense. I didn't touch on idea generation as much as embracing existing ideas. Fingers crossed that was the right response. I'd just woken up from a nap as I was writing it, so hopefully it's not too meandering and managed to answer the question and—
— Oh shoot. Was that a hypothetical question??? Uh. Sorry if I went off on this rant when you were just trying to voice your niceness. Oops. 🫥

another oc lore dump guraarghh !!!!! this time its for the umm. the purple haired nurse lady i posted a while back. shes about as fucked up as the rest of my doctor ocs so tread with caution (tw medical malpractice and such)
32, japanese
soft-spoken and quiet, she comes off as very polite and sweet for someone who mostly keeps to herself
it's very difficult to read her emotions. one might assume she lacks them entirely, but no. they're all just toned down. she dislikes letting her emotions get in the way of matters.
has always appreciated lolita fashion for how it made her feel something whenever she wore it. coming off as unassuming is only a bonus
wearing lolita fashion to work probably constitutes as several dress code violations, but her coworkers see her as nothing more than a kind, well-meaning woman, so they don't report her or anything (plus the patients love it)
she doesn't have a favorite color or food. if something serves no purpose to her then she can't bring herself to care. food is just food, she'll eat instant ramen most nights
her favorite movie, however, is human centipede. she won't murder you tonight /ref
she does absolutely fuck all when she's not at work. maybe she'll read a book or go online, but she doesn't really have friends or any major hobbies. it doesn't sadden her.
she does like anime, specifically 90s anime.
her lack of fear in getting caught almost reads as an unwavering confidence, when really, she just doesnt gaf at all. the second she's caught she's probably offing herself since not many things bring her the same joy as her current profession. she still puts a lot of care into not getting caught though
will bullshit some random excuse to perform surgeries. they're her favourite: hands on, relaxing (according to her), and a reliable means to "accidentally" place a foreign object within the patient's body
the most fucked up part about her is that she actually finds work relaxing and not exhausting
having x-rays done is her second favourite. she often keeps the scans for her own enjoyment, pinning them up on walls or carefully sketching drawings of the body down to the organ
she is a pervert; it does get her off, that's largely the reason why she does all of this. perversion, a desire for complete control over a person and her fascination regarding the human body. the reason why she acts on it is because she doesn't really care for the life she'd live if she didn't.
treats patients similarly to pets, street cats who keep coming back home. she's "sweet" if you don't question her or why she's the only doctor you've had or why theres a pair of scissors in your guts or why shes grabbing a saw
^ shes also weirdly enthusiastic, maybe even excited to have a patient in her grips. she'll offer to be their personal nurse or to have them sleep at her house. she'll casually tell them how she's so happy to see them and how healthy they look, asking them about their day, all that
she's not the type to resort to physical or emotional abuse (and she doesn't really need to regardless) but if she feels as though she has to in order to keep her patient coming back then she will
shaking my head dissaprovingly while i type so that u know i dont support her actions. shes very miss miseryguts, schadenfreude and the taste of a strawberry core

omg hi, can u do a reading on doja cat please... why whyy was she in those racial in*el chatrooms 😭 do u think she was bullied for being black/biracial when she was younger and bc of her dad not being present or something? ugh and her groomer bf. ugh crazy bc she has so much potential and talent to be even bigger imo. ugh doja 😭😭
This is such a good question because I was just thinking about how much I miss Doja's Hot Pink era 🤔 that was such an exciting time to witness as a fan! Her Scarlet era would of been much more enjoyable for me if she wasn't involved in so many controversies. I used to be a huge fan of her, but Doja's atttiude lately is just plain nasty. To answer your question about my opinion and everything. I believe Doja grew up in the suburbs and most poc can tell you that living in predominantly white spaces it is very racist and you will encounter microaggressions on a daily basis. Doja said that in her youth she didn't really have many friends and her brother would tease her for it. So I believe her feeling the need to turn to the internet and everything for finding a safe space would make sense? People also forget to realize that Doja isn't just a black/biracial girl, she is also neurodivergent. When you're black, alt, queer, have adhd/autism, etc. People are gonna perceive you as "weird" or you don't "belong". So I do think her having a absent father + living around mostly white people could of greatly affected Doja's self asteem. However, I don't believe her past justifies her current actions to this day. I won't dive too deep into someone's personal trauma because it's not my place and it's not something I personally like to do because not only does it make me uncomfortable but it's also unethical and immoral, but I can do my best to do a reading on why... Doja is the way she is.
Doja Cat behind the scenes: Amala
Personality
I think the small bits of her we see on live is really how she as a person behind closed doors. When she's really enjoying herself and being creative, is just how she's always been. Doja could be a "geek" or a "nerd". She has niche little interests that are special to her and gets so excited to talk about it. So for example, if you mentioned an anime she's watching, Doja would like light up like a kid in a candy store. Another thing is I feel like her spirit in general is very youthful? She does have a quirky personality but it's not as extroverted as when she is "Doja". Amala is more of an introvert, in fact, I believe her being in public spaces makes her feel a lot of pressure. Doja is really a "all bark no bite" type of person. Being a troll online gives her the ability to do the stuff she's not confident to do in person. She doesn't really know how to set boundaries as well in person than she does online. "People pleaser". It's really hard for Doja to say no or not entertain people. I also feel like when she is "Doja" her behavior is crazy, unfiltered, blunt, wild, and the life of the party. She becomes a mean girl from a 2000s movie come to life but more unhinged. As Amala though, it's the other way around. She's the nerd and is the one who hopes to impresse all the other "cool kids", even her character Doja. I feel like she actually gets embarrassed sometimes by the things she does for attention. "Why did I say that? Why did I do that?" When it comes being alone and in her own space, it's something she's used to. I genuinely don't even think she has like a close friend or if she does its not that many friends she has. Doja really only has her pets for comfort, security, and protection. I feel that Doja has a lot of inner child wounds that she needs to heal from because there is a lack of balance between this character she portrays herself as and who she really is behind the scenes. I believe it could be causing her some sort of identity complex.
Shy
Introverted
Creative
Youthful
Struggles to set boundaries
Falls into peer pressure easily
Has trouble fitting in or making genuine connections with others
Enjoys artistic hobbies such as painting, makeup, & music
Pets or animals are significant to her, they provide a healing presence
Identity complex issues
Is only aware of her self attributes but not her self concept (I.E: Knows her name, job, likes, dislikes, etc, but does not know what her morals or values are)
Career
The contract she signed was not beneficial to her at all, so Doja Cat is pretty much stuck with it until it is over. Doja Cat began her music career in 2014 and didn't become famous until 2019. So it took a lot of determination and sleepless nights for her to get to the top. She suffered a great deal of anxiety during this time and was over worked by her label, which has caused her to have mental breakdowns in the process. Doja's rise to fame was inevitable due to her ability to portray a duality of being sweet but also spunky. I believe her label wanted her to have this "ingenue" persona, which did attract a lot of money and appealed to a younger fanbase. Doja was sick of this though and felt like her dreams were starting to slip away from her. Doja enjoyed this era and seeing the fruits of her labor come intro fruition, but she knew if she continued to play the role of a "good girl" she would soon fade in with the other female artists in the industry. "I am a grown ass woman and I am not a little girl anymore!". Doja's "Scarlet" era was to create drastic change for herself and others around, it was uncomfortable, but was necessary in her eyes. She feels more confident, mature, and sexy with this new look of hers and does not care if it is received well or not. Doja could have more creative control in career now.
Love life
Doja's song "Addiction" could be an accurate description of her love life. I feel like she suffered from a lot of disappointment and codependency is a pattern within her relationships. Her partners become a "coping method" for her and it's how Doja escapes from the world. I'm almost getting she may suffer past trauma (possible symptoms of PTSD). She could experiences age regression in certain aspects, which unfortunately makes Doja fall victim to abusive or toxic partners. She was vulnerable and has been taken advantage of in her relationships, as well as having her heart getting broken many times. Doja also makes a lot of the wrong decisions whenever she does attract a healthy partnership because of her fear of being hurt or being attached to the wrong person. Self sabotage is a big factor. I also actually don't believe the man she is dating now will be the person she will be with long term. He is more so a reflection of her trauma and she just has been attracting the same person in different fonts. Doja could potentially feel torn between two people she's dated or will be dating. One person is from her past that she rejected and one will be someone new. The person from her past misses her deeply and wishes they could start over. This will be a shock to Doja and not something she will be expecting. They will dote on her and put in a lot of effort to make her happy. They both share similar wounds regarding their parents and could have fear of an abandonment. With this person, Doja could find herself feeling very loving to her partner and wanting to never leave them. She desires to do right by this person and make them happy. I could see her having a baby with them as well, possibly a baby boy? Doja will discover a part of herself that is more nurturing and emotional. They could be a divine counterpart or they will cause a spiritual awakening for her.
Tinychat rumors
So this is silly... but Doja was in those chatrooms because she liked the attention and praise she got lol 💀. People would always praise her and give her compliments, so that's mostly why she was present. I also think Doja Cat was like someone's "discord kitten" if that makes sense 🤣? She had a big crush on someone there (Doja could of even wrote "cyber sex" about them?), but I don't actually believe all of the people in these chatrooms were necessarily racist (which I remember watching videos about this when it happened and Doja wasn't actually the only poc there, there was also a few other poc present, but the one where she was only talking to white people went viral). So were there racists? Yes. Was there incels? Yes. Was that her intention to talk all of these people though? No. She was just crushing on one specific peeson and they would invite her to these chatrooms who were supposedly friends of theirs. So Doja would just hang around to fit in and she has a bad habit of doing shit for validation from others. Which consequently led to the video of her saying the n slur in the chatroom going viral. Mentally I feel she was overwhelmed during this time and was regressing? She literally would behave like a kitten for this person and could tell they were getting bored of her. Now the person Doja crushed on (who I feel was most likely a admin or mod) didn't spew hatred or anything of those things, but he wouldn't speak up to defend any of the poc in those chatrooms. So that would mean yes, they are racist by default because they allowed it to happen. Doja got special treatment in comparison to others though because 1. She was famous 2. The person's "crush" (more like a pet I should say...). As far as it goes for how Doja was treating other poc, she was ignorant about a lot of comments she made and regrets it, she mostly knew stereotypes but didn't actually have the proper knowledge of what's true for other poc (I got a whiff of a stinky scent and I believe that's a sign for her knowing her behavior was really "shitty" and knows that her not knowing better is a bullshit excuse 😭). People literally told her engaging in these chatrooms would be bad for her image and Doja was just really in her delulu phase before shit got real. I feel like someone even came to her house uninvited??? and was like literally stalking her (how scary!). That was when she realized shit got real and it was not a cute little fantasy anymore. Her life could of been in really danger at one point. It took a lot for her PR team to fix this situation and make sure she didn't get canceled or become a flop overnight, as well as having to hire extra security for her.

survey #223
Are any of your friendships on a fine line? Nope! Very grateful for that.
If I search your room, will I find birth control? No. My pills are in the kitchen with my other meds.
Have you ever witnessed a birth? Only cats personally, other animals through videos that would circulate. I NEVER want to see a human birth, I don't even like seeing animals do it.
Are you often the last one to understand a joke? Yes, honestly. I wouldn't say always, but it definitely happens.
Have you ever slept in a tent, indoors or out? Yes to both. Never beyond my own yard though, haha. As kids, Dad would sometimes do it with us kids.
Are you mad right now? No.
Have you ever been on a farm? I have, briefly. We were picking up my sister from her friend's house, and she lived on a farm.
What are you listening to? I'm watching an episode of John Wolfe's Still Wakes the Deep LP.
Would you rather date someone five years older or five years younger than you? Older.
If you had to live off one type of fruit, which would you pick? Probably apples. I prefer strawberries and kiwi, but I more consistently enjoy apples.
How often do you drink Monster? I hate Monster. To be fair though, I'm not much better health-wise than Monster enjoyers, because after all, I fucking love Mountain Dew. So unhealthy it's not produced in I think the UK.
Are you short? I'm average height for a North American woman my age.
Can you ever get enough of mac ‘n’ cheese? I'm certain I could.
Are you allergic to nuts or dairy products? No.
Do you have trust issues? Yes, but they're not as bad as they were in the past. I also know that I tend to be maybe overly trusting towards women that appear motherly and very empathetic.
Do you think age matters in relationships? If a minor is involved, it absofuckinglutely does. Relationships with considerably large age gaps aren't for me personally, but adults can do what adults want in their own consenting relationships.
Has anyone ever called the cops on you? No.
Is the last person of the opposite sex you texted single? My dad is remarried.
Could you go a week without brushing your teeth? ... This is fucking humiliating, but I've done this. Executive dysfunction and debilitating depression. I paid for this though, I've had intense teeth work after this neglect, and it taught me good. I'm still not where I should be in caring for myself, but by god have I made progress.
Are you usually awake at midnight? Not usually, no.
Have you ever been peer pressured to smoke pot? No. I've never really been peer pressured, but even then, I've always been very good at sticking to my guns with this kinda stuff.
Do you ever actually drink milk alone? Yes, I love milk.
If you don’t have one already, would you consider getting an iPhone? No; I prefer Androids between the two.
What year were you born in? 1996.
Do you get jealous easily? Nah. I'm more prone to envy.
Have you ever done anything illegal? I've always been a person downloading shit illegally.
Do you use Twitter? No.
Who was the last person you hugged? My mom.
Do you listen to All Time Low? No.
Do you get leg cramps often? I've had a tendency lately of waking up and getting leg cramps? Especially if I stretch my leg even a smidge. It's not fun.
Have you ever met a celebrity? No.
Who was your first kiss? Jason, my first "real" boyfriend when I was 16.
What is your favourite food? I could say chocolate lmao, but that certainly doesn't count as like, real "food." My favorite *real* food is cheeseburgers, then I also like boneless hot wings and pizza and other unhealthy shit I shouldn't touch lol.
Do you use Skype? No.
Does it bother you when people have a collar turned up? The fuck should I care what people wear and how they wear it
As a kid did you like Barney, Baby Bop, or DJ more? Barney. I don't know what the other two are.
Have you been to the Bzoink Forums yet? I never had an account there, but I understand it shut down.
Have you ever pet a monkey? No.
Have you ever ridden a camel? No.
Do you like cupcakes? I do. I never knew I couldn't like cupcakes until my sister's husband made them for the kids, his are inedible to me.
Orange or lemon flavoring? Lemon.
Have you ever been to a Disney theme park? Disney World in Orlando.
Do you watch or listen to the news? No, shit's depressing.
What world issues concern you the most? A fucking lot, I don't even want to think of this right now.
Do you think that a woman can be an effective president? What a dumb fucking question.
Do you feel differently about love and sex now than you did at 17? OH YES
Would you ever join the military? Why or why not? lmfao hell no. Even if I was mentally well enough to join, I would never be fodder for the rich man's wars. They can solve their own goddamn problems without bringing violence into it. Maybe one day people in power will act like goddamn adults.
Do you or anyone you know play the violin? Not that I know of.
What is one of your favorite breakup songs? Maybe "If You Can't Hang" by Sleeping With Sirens, idk.
Are you someone who gets easily agitated by hearing someone chewing? Only if it's extremely obnoxious. Otherwise I don't tend to notice.
What's your favorite kind of oatmeal/porridge? Cinnamon apple. And it HAS to be cooked with milk, water is awful.
Have you ever ate a whole pizza in one sitting? No, at least, not a normal pizza. Maybe one of those smaller personal-sized pizzas you can get at the store.
What's something that always makes you cringe? Musicals. I wish I didn't have a cringe reaction to anything, cringe culture is so dumb.
What's something that always makes you emotional? Actually good dads. I didn't exactly get a great one.
What's your favorite pasta? Just normal spaghetti with tomato sauce and meatballs.
What's a social media site you have no interest in? Twitter.
Are you afraid of the dark? No.
Do you watch American Horror Story? No, I haven't for many years. I did enjoy the first season, though. Season two didn't do it for me (but I didn't finish it) and then I just didn't watch it after that.
Does your hometown have any urban legends/scary stories? My hometown is probably way too small for that.
What’s the scariest nightmare you remember having? I have some sort of condition where I have nightmares/terrors chronically so I could list plenty, but I don't want to. I just had one a few days ago that left me bawling to my mom.
Are you medicated? I've been bouncing between psych meds since fucking middle school.
Does your family/friends have a nickname for you? I mean, "Britt," but that's my nickname from everyone. My mom always gave her kids sweets nicknames though, and mine was "Twinkie." She still uses it occasionally lol.
Who’s some of your favorite YouTubers? I don't really watch Mark anymore, but Markiplier is still my favorite of all-time, I was fucking obsessed and he's still one of my biggest inspirations as a person. I love and respect him immensely. Some that are more relevant to me today include (in no real order) Game Grumps, Snake Discovery, John Wolfe, jacksepticeye, tarantula kat, NKFherping, Gab Smolders, others.
Do you have any phobias? Pregnancy, parasites (especially internal), vomit, general social phobia, whale sharks, slugs, heights (conditional), and I'm certain there's more I'm forgetting in the moment.
Are there any scented candles in the room you’re in? No.
Pancakes or French toast? Hmmm... I love both. I certainly eat more pancakes, though. I guess it depends on what I'm feeling at the time and how well they're prepared.
Did you have anything for breakfast today? Uh... what did I eat? Cereal, I think?
Are there any apps you’re addicted to? Not addicted, no. I have apps I like, but certainly no addictions to them. I know what addictions feel like, I'd know.
Did you have a favorite stuffed animal as a child? Yes, a moose I got from a Cabela's store in Ohio that I named Brownie. I still have him and as I redecorate my room, I think I'm gonna sit him on my bedside table since it's kinda bare right now.
Do you still collect stuffed animals? Not so much anymore, but I CERTAINLY did growing up.
How do you feel about Spongebob? I love Spongebob, it has no reason to be as funny as it is for all ages imo lol. I don't seek out watching it, but it's on sometimes when Mom and I watch my sister's kids, and I enjoy it just fine. I watched it regularly growing up.
Do you have any nervous habits? Most prominently, I wring and knead my hands together. I avoid eye contact. I stutter. I sometimes even cry just because I'm uncomfortable. After getting gauges in my ears, me tampering with these became as common as messing with my hands.
Do you shape/fill in your eyebrows? No.
What’s your favorite comfort food to eat? Comfort food, ice cream. But my true comfort edible... thing is a drink, Mountain Dew Voltage.
What’s the last movie you watched in theaters? I literally have not been to the theater since I tried watching The Black Phone. I WANT to, badly, I was desperate to see the Barbie movie but didn't get to, and now I really wanna see Inside Out 2. We're just extremely in the hole money-wise right now, going to the theater isn't on our table right now.
Do you/did you ever have a Neopets account? Yes, I fucking loved Neopets growing up. I still love the art style and even tried making an account this past year, the naming system just annoyed me too much lmao, I gave up. I don't like adding numbers n shit to character names, it's just a pet peeve.
When’s the last time you were camping? I've never actually been camping.
Have you ever had eggs cooked over a campfire? No.
If you do drink, what’s your favorite alcoholic beverage? Sangrias. I only really like fruity stuff.
Are there any songs you’ve been listening to repetitively lately? I haven't been doing this too much lately, but the two I've been doing this most with lately is "Zwitter" and the full band version of "Los," both by Rammstein.
Do you have social anxiety? Severely. Severely. It's a lot more prominent offline than online, though. It is still very present online too though, especially when I'm dealing with unfamiliar people.
Have you ever had fried pickles? I have, but I don't think I've had good ones. To my memory, I wasn't impressed, and I know these are typically super adored.
Where’s your favorite place to go out to eat? Meh, depends on my mood. Most often I simply want McDonald's (I feel like I'm the only adult alive that genuinely enjoys McD's lmao), other times Bojangle's, but my favorite fast food place is actually Sonic, I'm just less often in the mood for it.
Cereal, granola, or oatmeal? I like all of these, but I definitely eat cereal the most.

Hello there ask time for Bea How did she get her cat ? Did she ever had any animals befire pearl ? From where and who it came the cat's name ? Why did she learned violin ? For wgst purpose she played it ? Did she played in public or in private ? Did she play any other instrument ?
julie, my dear, since i took a while to answer to your asks about beatrice, i decided to compile everything in a single post! this is probably going to be long, so i’ll put the answers bellow the cut 💕
How did she get her cat? She had any pets before Pearl? What’s the origin of the cat’s name?
Yves gifted her with the cat the first time they had to stay apart for long, because of an official trip to a neighbor kingdom. Beatrice constantly says how much Yves reminds her of a cat, her favorite animal, so he chose this gift as a way to reminds her of himself and so she wouldn’t feel lonely while he’s gone.
No, Pearl is her first pet.
Beatrice chose the name because the cat’s fur reminded her of the color of a pearl. She also thought the cat had shiny eyes, like a jewel.
(for reference, Pearl’s similar to these cats 🤍)
Why did she learned the piano*? For what purpose she played it? Did she play in public or private? Did she play any other instruments?
*You wrote “violin”, but Beatrice plays the piano. You probably mistook it because during our RPG Oliver said he played the violin hihih
As a noblewoman, Beatrice constantly had free time in her hands. As such, she preferred to spend this time learning things and having hobbies. It’s also common for nobles kids to learn how to play classic instruments, that’s how Beatrice had her first contact with the instrument, having piano lessons as a kid, and she ended up loving playing it.
She played most for her own enjoyment. After starting to date Yves, she also played to duet with him.
Only in private, she’s too shy to play for a crowd. The exception is during private events, but only for friends.
She learned the basic for playing the violin and the harp as well. And she can sing.
How Beatrice reacts to compliments?
She gets shy and blushes most times. Even more if it’s Yves who’s complimenting her.
Why did she learnt to bake? What are the things she prefer to bake and the ones she avoid? What is she best at?
Beatrice started learning how to bake because she has a sweet tooth and didn’t want to ask someone to cook for her every time she wanted a sweet treat, hahah. She quickly took a liking to it and started trying different recipes and creating her own.
Her favorite things to bake are tarts and cookies. She avoids pumpkin and ginger flavored desserts, only because it’s not much of her taste.
Her specialty is raspberry frangipane tart, peach muffins and sugar cookies.
How she learned how to cook? What did she learned this for? And why did she love to bake?
After taking a liking to baking, Beatrice decided to try cooking too. She doesn’t like it as much as baking, but she can cook if necessary.
For no particular reason, she just thought it would be fun and useful to learn how to.
Like I said before, Beatrice has a sweet tooth and loves trying new sweet treats. So baking is handy and fun for her.
Would she help someone in need?
If it was something she could help with, sure. But she can get anxious easily while interacting with strangers, so depending on the situation she would be too nervous to do anything.
What is the first thing she will teach to a child? Is she good with children?
The first thing she’ll teach her own children is how to treat others kindly, for sure.
She is good with children. She enjoys interacting with them, but if a children says a mean thing to her she will be deeply upset, almost more than when an adult says it.
Does she have siblings?
No, she’s an only child.
How is her table manner? What she feels about balls? Does she like to dance? How would she feel if his lover danced with another?
She has great table manners, like you would expect from a noblewoman.
She isn’t found of balls, mostly because of the people who frequents them. But, when she’s with nice people, she enjoys partying.
She loves to dance.
Beatrice would feel a little sad, because dancing with Yves is something pretty special to her, but would say anything about it.
thanks for all the interest in my sweet beatrice 💞 feel free to send more asks about her and about my other ocs in the future 🥰

The Polyglot
It was one thing to talk to animals, but quite another to understand them. Everyone could do the former: on any single trip to the park, Hettie saw walkers addressing their dogs in more than the pre-agreed commands, children conversing with the ducklings by the pond, lunchers beseeching a wasp to leave their sandwiches alone.
But nobody could do the latter. In fairness, the animals rarely really thought to say much back, but where there was an answering quack, or a bark of agreement-slash-defiance, it was down to each person to interpret its meaning for themselves. There was no handy phrasebook or dictionary to check, or even any agreement on the spelling.
Hettie couldn't help with that. Her gift was remarkable, but in the other direction only: she could speak to any animal, and they would have full comprehension of what she was trying to say, to the extent that the concepts she chose would fit into their sometimes tiny brains. Flee, come closer, sit still, that sort of thing. Please schedule tomorrow's dawn chorus for a more reasonable hour, not so much.
It wasn't a matter of learning a thousand different types of birdsong on Duolingo. Most animals didn't have a language. Some didn't even have a tongue. It was more like telepathy, translated straight into their brain. She just spoke her native English, and any creature great or small - whether Bengal tiger or Javan rhinoceros - would simply understand.
Her communication didn't even need to be in words. She could say boo to a goose, or a gerbil, or a gecko, and they would know what she meant by it. She could blow a flute and command rats to leave a village, although they wouldn't listen. She could play a pipe and coax a snake out of a wicker basket, though it wouldn't necessarily feel much up for dancing.
But it was her gift, not theirs - she could speak to the animals, but they didn't have the same power to reply. Hettie could demand a heron tell her where her fish had gone, but when it tried to reply it found it had a frog in its throat. A cat would struggle to account for its own tongue, and a pony would discover its own voice was far too horse.
Most of them didn't even have the concept of words, or communication beyond simple expressions of enjoyment and alarm, yea and neigh. The conversation could only be one way, as Hettie found to her increasing frustration. That was their limitation, not hers, but it still restricted her horizons. There was little you could really doo with that.
Much of it was futile. She could direct animals to do this or that on her behalf, but they wouldn't follow orders any more than a stranger on the street might listen to her shouted commands. Most didn't even have the necessary discipline. She might have an army of ants in the palm of her hand, but she could only tell them where the food was, not get them to ignore it or look for something else. They had their own directives too.
Looking over to the opposite team, Hettie considered that a hunter might employ her as some sort of advanced beater, improving on the duck call or stalking horse by being able to lure their quarry out of their dens, but she wasn't going to lower herself to that. The animals might frustrate her, but she still had a great deal of empathy for their inner lives, having looked so many in the eyes. She had a new appreciation of their intelligence, even if she'd also become more familiar with its limits.
Then, just as she was thinking of giving up, the pet owners arrived.
"Can you tell Mr Mittens how much I love him?" one client asked. "I'm worried that he doesn't know."
"I just want my guinea pig to know that I'm a friend. They don't have to be afraid of me, and it breaks my heart to think they see me as a threat."
"Does Dory know what a good girl she is? Sometimes I'm not sure if she understands the words."
Hettie found work as a horse whisperer, or dog hypnotist, or anything along those lines: helping people calm the animals they cared about, so that they could better take care of them. She'd been coming at this the wrong way, she realised. It had never been about commands, or getting the animals to do anything they didn't want to do - only giving them the affirmation people gave each other every day.
Whatever she said, animals would continue to do what animals did - but they were rarely told how great they were in doing it. Or if they were told, they never really understood. None of the ducklings could possibly be ugly, and they deserved to know that. Perhaps the cobra needed to be left in her basket, but would be far more grateful for a lullaby. Hettie could help with that. Her gift had been to spread not meaning, nor strategy, but love. Put in those terms, it felt like the greatest power in the world.

Long post is long, so I'll make a new one! Thank you @coolalicious for tagging me to do this!
Name(s) - Aura (to the point that if you see Aura in a handle somewhere else then it's probably me)
Pronouns - x/they/she in order of preference.
Star sign - on the Pisces side of the Aquarius/Pisces cusp
# of siblings & fun facts about them (if you have any) - I have one sibling who's younger than me by 1 1/2 years. fun fact: their favorite animal is the platypus!
# of pets & their names - I have one cat, a little black domestic shorthair kitty named Schroedinger.
Fandoms - Princess Tutu, The Magnus Archives, the Chzo Mythos, Homestar Runner, and pretty much anything else I've got on the backburner
Favorite color - puce
Favorite song - this is always one of the hardest questions because does this mean of all time? just right now? the one that I can listen to endlessly on repeat? the one that makes me go 110% feral? I think I'll answer based on vibes, and based on vibes my favorite song is Gymnopedie no. 1 by Erik Satie.
Favorite author (of anything readable-- books, fanfics, zines, webtoons, whatever!) - oh, this is another hard one. it is not at all helped by the fact that I've been going through the audiobook of Lightlark and thoroughly enjoying it for reasons the author never intended, which is the case when you pursue media with a So Bad It's Good mindset. but I might have to give an honorable mention to Alex Aster anyway for the sheer number of times I had to pause her audiobook because I was doubled over laughing at it. but for a more sincere answer, I will pick Mel Brooks, which almost feels like cheating, but his professional memoir All About Me! was such an enjoyable ride and had that same voice and beloved sense of humor he's honed in his movies. Mel Brooks is one of the few celebrities I've written a fan letter to, an actual physical fan letter written by hand, and he is well worth that effort.
Hobbies - cooking, writing, taking walks at the park, playing games with friends
Favorite fic type - you know how some fandoms have a very specific type of fic by the nature of canon? my favorite fic is a type specific to the fandom for The Magnus Archives related to the tropes of Loves My Alter Ego and Two Sided Love Triangle. specifically, I love the premise Jonathan "Jon" Sims | The Archivist being a former member of real life band The Mechanisms (that real life Jonathan Sims was a member of) and hapless archival assistant Martin Blackwood being a fan of The Mechanisms, resulting in him being torn between his crush on his prickly boss and his crush on frontman Jonny d'Ville unaware that they are in fact the same person. my ideal version of this would be at a point where the crush is mutual and at first Jon uses his Jonny d'Ville persona to try acting as a wingman for Martin to get him with himself?? but then that kind of evolves into Martin dating Jonny while still being unaware it's Jon somehow. we're talking Rio Pacheco from Jem and the Holograms levels of unaware, which I will forgive Martin for because he's just so starstruck.
Favorite holiday - New Year's! I even made arrangements to take the whole week off so I can properly enjoy it. <3
Do you have any partner(s)? (romantic, qpp, anything!) - nope! I'm happily single and ready for some Pringles!
Fun facts about you / anything extra you wanna share! - so y'all know I love food and I like to cook, and I've mentioned before that I've been to culinary school, but I don't know how many of my current followers know that I actually went to Le Cordon Bleu for their baking and patisserie program and in fact graduated from there with honors. I earned my coveted blue cravat for doing so.
and I tag anyone who wants to do this!

cyborgs, magical girls, girlboss capitalism and temp-scapes: a review of bee and puppycat
[ preface: this is in reference to the original youtube series, not the netflix lazy in space re-release. i liked the original’s subtle storytelling and worldbuilding techniques (ye old adage, “show not tell”), which, in my opinion, was carelessly done away with in the re-release. the netflix version feels more “tell” than “show”, and its in-your-face expositions completely remove the ambiguity and complexity that made the original so enjoyable. so yeah, i’m a little disappointed with the direction of the netflix version, but because i love the concept of the series so much, i’ll be following it to see if it gets any better.
also, spoilers ahead, of course. ]
the first time i watched bee and puppycat 4 years ago, i couldn’t help but see parallels between bee’s damaged arm in the final episode and major kusanagi’s mangled cyborg body in the iconic tank scene of ghost in the shell (1995). i couldn’t find any sources linking the two, and i don’t know if natasha allegri drew from mamoru oshii specifically, but let me outline their similarity: in their respective scenes, both of them exert themselves to the point of bodily destruction, exposing their bodies as mechanically-constituted—beneath the appearance of skin, both bee and kusanagi are shown to be amalgamations of wires, nuts and bolts.
immediately i was reminded of donna haraway’s cyborg manifesto, which suggested that examining the figure of the cyborg was productive for feminism because it represented a rejection of established boundaries—such as that of human/animal, human/machine, nature/nurture, man/woman and so on and so forth—that have structured our ways of knowing thus far (gross oversimplification but you get the point).
ghost in the shell captures this sense of productive transgression more directly: kusanagi is portrayed to be simultaneously masculine in her strength and behavior yet feminine in her physical appearance; she’s also a mechanical body with an (albeit questionable) “organic” implanted soul or “ghost”. the movie in turn asks questions about life—how we classify something as living and why others don’t fall under the same category. it complicates our assumptions about biology, humanity and gender. in line with haraway’s project, ghost in the shell highlights new possibilities of thinking about the human. maybe if we abandon our narrow-minded assumptions, they both posit, we can also leave behind the pointless bickering over who can or cannot go to which bathrooms or why men shouldn’t be allowed to wear dresses and focus on other things that might actually contribute to improving lives.
bee and puppycat doesn’t quite interrogate the same things, or if it does it isn’t presented as overtly. starring an unemployed woman named bee and her part-puppy part-cat pet-partner, the series revolves around the eponymous pair traversing strange landscapes in an alternate dimension named “fishbowl space”, completing absurd “temp jobs” and hanging out with bee’s friend and aspiring-chef deckard. on the surface, it’s easy to look at its pastel color palette and cutesy aesthetic and dismiss its seriousness. but a closer look at allegri’s history and the series itself proves that it’s far from shallow. having worked on adventure time (like her contemporary rebecca sugar) prior to bee and puppycat, allegri’s show has been compared to both adventure time and steven universe, which have each gained attention for the depth and solemnity of their narratives when contrasted against their cartoon visuals. combine that with the parallels between bee and kusanagi, and you get me wondering what the significance of the cyborg is in the show. i don’t have an answer quite yet, but i do have thoughts.
one thing that caught my attention was the character bee herself. unlike your usual girlboss (think amy dunne, furiosa, lara croft, or even major kusanagi), bee is unemployed, unmotivated, lazy (hence the tagline: lazy in space), lives alone with her pet and does nothing but eat and watch tv all day. under the lens of contemporary girlbossery, bee is a catastrophic failure.
but girlbossery, as we already know, is a capitalist scam. not only does it perpetuate the idea that gender equality is contingent on economic productivity, it repackages consumerism as feminism—“if you want to be the perfect girlboss like me, you need to have this thing!” or “if you want to support a girlboss, please buy this!” worst of all, girlbossery sells you the lie of an ideal woman who is, more often than not, just a reinforcement of the status quo: she’s usually thin (coded as “healthy”) and conventionally attractive (read: european-looking), smart and always financially successful (by her own merit, of course). at its core, the girlboss is an exclusionary construct that ignores the intersections of race and class in favor of a flimsy promise of meritocratic justice.
bee, then, signals a “willingness to move beyond the ‘girl power’ rhetoric...and offer a range of nuanced female characters”, as mihaela mihailova writes. sometimes, this just means someone who’s relatable. bee might not be a girlboss, but she is one of us. allegri herself was surprised at “[h]ow many girls [watched the show and] were like, ‘oh, that’s me.’” having relatable female characters means having realistic depictions of women that might not conform to societal norms or expectations; it means representing women as we are rather than putting forth abstract ideas of women that are fundamentally unattainable.
what has the cyborg have to do with all of this? to be honest, and like i said, i’m not sure. but allegri has cited sailor moon as a major inspiration for the series, and that gives me some sort of insight: maybe it’s an update of the mahou shoujo (literally magical girl) genre. instead of a young girl who transforms into a cute costume via the power of magic and defeats evil (often older, powerful women), you have a cyborg who’s essentially your average millenial/older gen-z woman fighting a mysterious, abstract dark force from an alternate dimension that coincidentally is a realm where precarious (and not to mention absurd) work is found. while classic mahou shoujo tropes arose in the 1990s and are aligned with notions of feminine power and innocence, bee and puppycat’s incorporation of the cyborg seems to be a 2010/2020s rejection of these ideas. for the cyborg, as haraway says, “is resolutely committed to partiality, irony, intimacy, and perversity. It is oppositional, utopian, and completely without innocence.”
bee’s cyborg ontology firstly highlights that femininity is a construct that is fluid, malleable and therefore imitable—when we find out that she’s actually a cyborg at the end of the series, it doesn’t stop us from perceiving her as a girl. she looks like a girl, dresses and behaves like one, so why would we think any different? what that unveiling does is say that anyone can be a girl, as long as they adhere to enough social norms. in doing so, bee and puppycat suggests that there is no magical feminine power because there is no inherent feminine essence to draw from. bee doesn’t channel the magical power of femininity like her magical girl counterparts; she relies on her mechanically-constituted body. her attempt at saving moully in the final scene wasn’t done with magic but by harnessing her mechanical strength as a cyborg.
that is not to say that older mahou shoujo depictions are “bad”—what does that mean, anyway?—rather, bee and puppycat conveys a shift in female representation that is more inclusive and relevant in the present. which brings me to my next point: temp jobs and precarious work.
while deciding on the primary text for my ht i stumbled upon temporary, a book by hilary leichter with a premise that’s supiciously similar to bee and puppycat’s concept of fishbowl space (albeit published after the web series aired): a young woman floats through different worlds, fulfilling various duties under a myriad of temporary positions with no prospect of stable, permanent employment. similarly, bee is fired from her job at deckard’s family restaurant and earns a living with puppycat by going to strange places in “fishbowl space” to complete whimsical, absurd tasks. in one of the first episodes, bee and puppycat go to jellycube planet (pictured below) to complete the task of feeding a sugared cherry on one side of the planet so food will grow for the animals on the other side of the planet, all of which are owned by an unnamed alien farmer (also pictured below).
if leichter’s temporary is about the precarity of work in the age of late capitalism, then bee and puppy cat is undoubtedly on the same page. not only do the disparate planets and unnamed clients in the show parallel the fractured, contract-based and short-term nature of jobs in our real world, bee almost always encounters danger within fishbowl space. whether it’s the aforementioned cherry being a soul-eating monster that tries to eat bee or the shadowy black hands that end up capturing moully, these landscapes of temporary work (or temp-scapes, as i deem them) are often treacherous and difficult to navigate. with precarious jobs taking up an increasingly larger proportion of the job market, and with the pandemic exacerbating this trend, bee and puppycat sees the magical girl grow into a woman whose freedoms and safety are threatened by the demands of the economy. bee’s cyborg body, then, is also symbolic of the effects of capitalism as it continues to figure humans as productive machines.
nevertheless, i think bee and puppycat is trying to construct something positive. about femininity, capitalism and about the future of humanity. and with a cyborg at the heart of the show, i don’t doubt that they will. or maybe i’m just overthinking all of this. either way, the web series was really fascinating and engaging and, if fate allows, i might write all of these ideas out in full detail in the future. until then, i rate the bee and puppycat series a 9/10.

logan jones - intp - the logician
i- introverted
it’s not necessarily that she dislikes being around people, it’s just not her preference. logan would much rather spend her weekends in her apartment, studying or reading a book. she doesn’t mind social gatherings from time to time, but largely she enjoys living a quiet life outside of work. even at work, her interactions with other people are limited; the people who come to her to get their cars worked on don’t know much about what she does, so there isn’t much room for conversation. this is how she likes her job, limited interactions and mostly just time that she can spend in solitude, just her and the vehicle she’s working on.
it isn’t to say that she doesn’t have friends, she just doesn’t have many. she’s never really been the type to go out and actively try to engage with people. with people she already knows, it’s easy to strike up a conversation, but with a complete stranger? that’s a completely different story, you might as well have asked her to jump off a cliff. if presented with a party where she doesn’t know many of the people there, logan would most likely be found in a less crowded area, interacting with a cat or dog if the host has a pet. animals are better company than people, at least in her opinion.
n- intuitive
a lot of the information logan takes in is taken from the sources she’s provided with. she looks less at facts and more at her general impressions of things, this goes for both people and inanimate objects. she finds it particularly helpful in her work, because facts aren’t always particularly helpful when trying to figure out what’s wrong with a vehicle. she needs to look at what she sees and what she can hear to help her determine the most likely issue. it’s also enjoyable for her to explore other possibilities, though this aspect is more prevalent in her studies in engineering.
in her studies, it’s important for her to be open to different solutions because in engineering she finds herself presented with problems that require her to get creative. there aren’t many simple and clear-cut answers, so she’s forced to think outside the box in order to solve them. she enjoys this because it challenges her, it provides her with a desire to figure out what might work because she gains satisfaction from finding that.
t- thinking
a large part of how logan thinks is based in logic, she tends to rely less on her emotions when making decision. while this might look contradictory from an outside perspective, considering her lack of control over her emotions, this primarily applies to her work and studies. these aspects of her life are ones that she does have control of and as a result she finds it very calming when she’s able to focus on these. in engineering, there’s no one’s emotions to keep in mind, just solid facts and rules to abide by. but, there’s also room for her to be creative because some problems in engineering don’t have solutions yet.
she very much enjoys thinking about theoretical concepts, because they force her to be abstract in her thinking. what draws her to her field of study is logan finds creativity in the methods used. there’s also a part of her that likes the process of doing math problems, unlike other people she doesn’t find math hard or tedious as a subject. overall, she just finds a sense of satisfaction in analysis and tends to find other people frustrating.
p- perceiving
having a set schedule is not at all logan’s strong suit, her work ethic is more like spontaneous bursts of energy. she does her homework when she feels motivated to and while this might look bad from an outside perspective, she actually is good at keeping up on it. when it comes to working at win garage, just being in the building is enough to provide this for her. it’s also not uncommon for her to take up extra shifts or work later because she doesn’t mind leaving at a time that isn’t her usual time.
when it comes to her home life, chores are oftentimes the last thing logan would want to do after coming home. she would much rather destress from whatever her day entailed and then get to what needs to be done, if she even does end up getting to them. dishes and dirty laundry tend to pile up until they can’t be ignored anymore because she genuinely despises doing them. but, it is a necessity so when she ends up doing these chores is irregular.
strengths
analytical, open-minded, curious, original, objective
weaknesses
disconnected, insensitive, dissatisfied, impatient, perfectionistic
fictional characters with this personality
sherlock holmes, dipper pines (gravity falls), spencer reid (criminal minds), velma dinkley (scooby-doo), peter parker (spider-man), milo thatch (atlantis: the lost empire)

Discovering the Herding Instinct in Your Canine Companion: A Training Roadmap
Attention all dog owners and enthusiasts! Have you ever wondered why your furry friend loves to follow the pack, whether it's a group of humans or fellow canines? Well, get ready to unleash the secrets of your canine companion's herding instinct. In this exciting blog post, we will embark on a training roadmap that will not only help you understand this natural behavior but also harness it for a more harmonious life with your pup. So grab your leash and join us as we discover the fascinating world of the herding instinct in dogs!"
Introduction to the Herding Instinct in Dogs
Herding is a natural instinct for dogs, and many breeds have been bred specifically for this purpose. However, even if your dog isn't a herding breed, they may still have strong herding instincts. If you're interested in harnessing this instinct and channeling it into a fun and rewarding activity for both you and your dog, read on to learn more about the herding instinct and how you can get started training your dog in this fun sport.
As pack animals, dogs are naturally inclined to work together in a group. The herding instinct is an extension of this natural pack behavior. When left unchecked, the herding instinct can manifest itself in undesirable ways such as nipping at people's heels or rounding up children into a "pack." However, when channeled into positive outlets such as dog sports or working activities, the herding instinct can be a wonderful thing.
There are many benefits to training your dog in herding. For one, it provides mental stimulation and physical exercise for your dog. It also strengthens the bond between you and your dog as you work together towards a common goal. And finally, it's just plain fun! If you think your dog might enjoy herding, there are a few things you'll need to get started.
Identifying Your Dog's Herding Instinct
If you have a herding breed dog, chances are high that he or she has a strong herding instinct. Breeds like Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Heelers were all bred for their herding abilities, and as such, these instincts are very strong in these dogs. But even if your dog is not a herding breed, he or she may still have a strong herding instinct.
There are several ways to tell if your dog has a strong herding instinct. One way is to simply observe your dog's behavior. Does he or she tend to herd other animals? This includes both livestock and other pets in the home. If your dog is constantly trying to round up the cats or nip at the heels of the family sheepdog, then chances are good that he or she has a strong herding instinct.
Another way to tell if your dog has a strong herding instinct is to take him or her to an open area with plenty of room to run. Once there, let your dog off leash and see what he or she does. If your dog immediately starts running around in circles, chasing his or her tail, then this is another sign that he or she has a strong herding instinct.
Establishing a Positive Training Environment
A positive training environment is essential for teaching your canine companion the skills they need to be a successful herder. Here are some tips for establishing a positive training environment:
1. Make sure you have plenty of time and patience for training. This is not a process that can be rushed.
2. Choose a quiet location with few distractions where you can focus on working with your dog.
3. Be consistent in your commands and expectations. Dogs learn best when they know what is expected of them.
4. Reward your dog's good behavior with treats, praise, or playtime. This will help reinforce the desired behavior and make it more enjoyable for both of you.
5. Avoid punishing your dog for mistakes. This will only lead to frustration and may cause them to lose interest in learning altogether. Instead, redirect their energy into something positive like a puzzle toy or chew bone.
Developing Basic Commands and Training Skills
Assuming your puppy or rescue dog is healthy and already house-trained, the next step is to begin obedience training and socialization. Start with the basics – sit, stay, come when called – and move on to learning tricks like “spin” or “play dead.” Not only will this help cement the bond between you and your furry friend, but it will also give them much-needed mental stimulation.
In addition to obedience training, herding dogs need to learn specific commands in order to do their job properly. These can include “lie down,” “walk up,” or “stand still.” Some herding breeds are also trained to work livestock using whistles or other signals from their handlers.
The best way to train a herding dog is through positive reinforcement – rewards like treats or verbal praise for doing what you ask. Like all dogs, they respond best to consistency and patience from their owners. With time and patience, your herding dog will be ready to take on any challenge you throw their way!
Introducing Sheep and Cattle to Your Dog
Assuming your dog doesn't have a strong hunting or herding instinct, you'll need to take some time to introduce them to sheep and cattle. This is important because you don't want your dog to be afraid of the livestock, and you also don't want the livestock to be afraid of your dog. The best way to do this is by gradually exposing your dog to the animals. Start by letting them see and smell the sheep or cattle from a distance. Once they seem comfortable with that, you can move on to having them approach the animals while you're holding them on a leash. You can let them off the leash around the animals (in a safe area, of course). It's important to go at your dog's pace and not force them into anything they're not comfortable with. With patience and positive reinforcement, you should be able to successfully introduce your dog to sheep and cattle.
Advanced Techniques for herding Training
There are a number of advanced techniques that can be used to further develop your dog's herding instincts and abilities. One such technique is known as 'target training'. This involves teaching your dog to move in a specific direction or to target a specific object (such as a ball or Frisbee) in response to your commands.
Another useful technique is ' shaping', which involves rewarding your dog for progressively closer approximations of the desired behaviour until they are performing it consistently. For example, if you want your dog to jump over a hurdle, you would start by rewarding them for moving towards the hurdle, then for putting their front paws on the hurdle, and so on until they are jumping over it consistently.
Other advanced herding training techniques include 'scent work', which can be used to teach your dog to track and follow a scent trail; and 'obstacle course' work, which can help to further develop your dog's agility and coordination.
With patience and commitment, any dog can learn to harness their natural herding instincts - it just takes some time and effort (and maybe a little bit of extra cheese!)
Conclusion
Herding is a natural instinct in many dogs, and it can be fun to watch them as they learn new skills. With the right training roadmap, you can help your canine companion tap into their inner herding dog and discover an exciting way to bond with your pup. If you need help getting started, there are plenty of resources online to guide you through the process. So get out there and start exploring the amazing world of herding together!

First part of the summary here
Generation 2: “Holocouncil”
Nanashi Mumei: “The guardian of civilization”. Her favorite hobby is bullying Ouro Kronii. Her second favorite hobby is gaslighting Ouro Kronii about the bullying. Her third favorite hobby is murder. Has just so much anxiety. Likes to insult/disparage her official mascot character. Has a dog named Animal. Openly hostile to her chat whenever things aren’t going her way in the game. Can speak faster than the speed of sound. Has made a series of distressing portraits of other hololive members. Has roleplayed before, and has roleplayed on stream. Holds her pencils “like a cavewoman”.
Hakos Baelz: “chaos”. Somehow, the level-headed one of the group. Streams from a shed. Has been jump-scared by her own mother. Several times. Insists that she is 12 years old. Was repeatedly shipped with another member, Irys, and turned this into a gag where they got married and divorced every stream. Terminally zoomer. Gets called “Bae” unironically by everyone. Shockingly fit, used to play basketball. Has a singing voice bafflingly unlike her normal voice.
Ceres Fauna: “The keeper of nature”. Admitted to stealing the title from the actual warden, who she cursed and keeps as a pet. Roleplays turning her fans in to trees. Constantly sounds like she’s about to start speaking in uwu. Actually the best gamer in Hololive English by a long shot. Had an emo phase and still loves goth stuff. Encouraged a trend of her being drawn in a “cowkini”. Vegan. Has a cat named Snail. Goes “uuuuuu” when upset, or focused, or excited, or angry, or most other emotions.
Ouro Kronii: “The warden of time”. The ultimate failwoman. Goes “GWAK” and other strange noises when flustered, which is constantly. Insists she is perfect and the perfect gamer. “Is not a happy person, but would like to be happy”. Makes noises like she’s physically pained if something happens to her minecraft base. Makes “puns” that don’t work. Laughs at her own jokes. Insists that everyone looks at the “ribbon” situated on her chest. Owns beige crocs.
Tsukimo Sana: “The speaker of space”. Unfortunately, the first (and so far only) member of Hololive English to retire (referred to as “graduation”). Fantastic artist and ray of sunshine.
Bonus: “Project Hope”
IRyS: Debuted on her own as a “vsinger” not a part of any generation. Began streaming & partaking in more regular vtuber activities after finding them enjoyable. Informally adopted in to HoloCouncil. Has watched probably too much anime, even compared to everyone else here. The queen of accidental innuendo. Used to think green apples were “unripe apples”. Has a fascinating and baffling lack of common knowledge in general. Does not appear fluent in either of the languages she speaks. Somehow still has one up on Kronii most of the time.
