HEART RACING
Warnings: 8k+ words, bad writing, kissing, relationship started from a bet, slightly ooc vada (idk?) reader has she/her pronouns, ur best friends is kinda a dick ig
A/N: this was highly inspired by shes all that + i'm still kinda on my break, sorry if it seems like im ignoring asks
Summary: You take on a bet from your best friend, but what happens when you start regretting your decision.
Tumblr media
"I'm so excited." Jordan, your childhood best friend says, smiling at you. You narrow your eyes at the brunette boy, adjusting your bookbag strap that was slipping off your shoulder. "I wonder what dish your mom is going to make this time." He adds on, that goofy smile of his never leaves his face.
"Yeah." You mumble, trying to hide your nerves about the upcoming break. "Yeah, I hope it's something delicious," you reply, forcing a smile. Jordan reads you like a book, tilting his head before letting out a soft laugh.
"Don't tell me you're worried about your parents bothering you about having a girlfriend." You shake your head, furrowing your eyebrows, as your eyes stay attached to the trail in front of you.
"It's just... this happens every holiday! Oh, Y/N, where's your girlfriend? Oh, Y/N! Who's the lucky girl?" You mock your parents before letting out a sigh and stopping your walk to face Jordan.
"Why can't I just be single and enjoy my high school experience without constantly being questioned about my love life?" you vent, frustration evident in your voice. Jordan raises an eyebrow, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "To be fair, you haven't brought a girl home since freshman year. And you're now a senior. Did you see how happy they were?"
You roll your eyes at Jordan, "What about Ana? I brought her home." Jordan chuckles, shaking his head. "Ana doesn't count. You faked a relationship, and your parents read right through it. They know you too well."
You sigh, memories of that awkward dinner with Ana and your parents flooding back. "Yeah, that was a disaster. I guess I just wanted to avoid the constant interrogation for a while."  Jordan smirks. "Maybe it's time you actually find someone worth bringing home."
"Yeah, sure. It wouldn't be hard to, I just need someone to be able to play the part. My parents do not care who I date whatsoever, just as long as I'm dating them." You tell him, scratching your eyebrow.
Jordan raises an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You wanna bet on it?" You raise an eyebrow in response, curious about what Jordan has in mind. "What kind of bet are we talking about here?"
"I pick the girl, and you have to bring her home to meet your parents on Christmas," Jordan says, a smirk playing on his lips. "And if you succeed, I'll do your math homework for the rest of the year."
You eye Jordan before holding out your hand. "Deal." Jordan's smile widens as he shakes your hand. "Let's go find your lover."  You laugh, following Jordan as the two of you start scanning the school for potential candidates.
"What about her?" You ask Jordan, nodding your head in the direction of a girl blowing bubbles. Jordan glances over at the girl blowing bubbles and raises an eyebrow. "Hmm, she seems carefree and fun-loving. Definitely a possibility," he teases. "But no!"
You continue searching, your eyes landing on a girl sitting alone in the library, engrossed in a book. "What about her?" you suggest to Jordan, pointing her out. Jordan observes her for a moment before responding, "Too boring."
"Ohhh, maybe her!" Jordan laughs loudly, pointing at a girl picking out her wedgie. You chuckle at Jordan's suggestion, but quickly shake your head. "I don't think so," you say, trying to stifle your laughter. "Let's keep looking."
"Hey! I'm the one picking here. I have the go-to." You shake your head. "Then pick."
Just as you say that a girl trips on her own shoelaces and stumbles forward, nearly falling face-first, Jordan bursts into laughter. "I think we have a winner!" You look over at the girl, who searches around to see if anyone has seen her embarrassing moment. She quickly regains her composure and brushes off the incident, pretending like nothing happened.
"Vada Cavell?" You yell at Jordan, "You've gotta be joking, man." Jordan chuckles and shrugs. "Hey, you said to pick. And she definitely caught my attention with that little stumble." You roll your eyes, not convinced that this is the best choice for your fake partner.
"Look. Ugly, bad personality, a bit on the smelly side, I can handle." You glance back at Vada, sighing.
"But I draw the line at someone who can't even walk without tripping over their own feet," you say, exasperated. Jordan laughs again, defending his choice. "A bet is a bet!" You open your mouth to argue again, but Jordan beats you.
"Hey, if I were you, I wouldn't be wasting my time. Because according to my calculations, you only have about four weeks to turn her into your perfect fake partner before Christmas. And if Vada Cavell is going to be that somebody, you've pretty much got your work cut off for you. "
You sigh and reluctantly agree, knowing that you can't back out of the bet now. You walk over to Vada Cavell, who is sitting with a blonde-haired girl at a table, engrossed in her phone.
"Hi, Vada. You got a second?" You ask, trying to sound casual as you approach her. Vada looks up from her phone with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. Mia, the blonde-haired girl, drops her jaw at the sight of you. You send her a small smile.
"Hi, Mia. I saw your soccer video on Instagram. "It was really impressive," you compliment, trying to make small talk. Vada raises an eyebrow, while Mia blushes. "You watch my videos?"
"You don't play soccer." Vada states matter-of-factly, glaring at her best friend. Mia looks sheepish, realizing your mistake. "Oh, sorry." You tell Mia who quickly brushes off the comment with a dismissive wave.
"So, Vada, listen," you begin, trying to redirect the conversation. "I was wondering maybe if you wanna..." Vada quickly stands up, interrupting you. "Let's go, Mia."
Mia gives you an apologetic smile before following Vada, leaving you feeling slightly embarrassed and rejected. You sigh, realizing that your attempt to ask Vada out didn't go as planned. "...embarrass me horribly in front of all these people?" You finish trailing off to yourself. You look back at Jordan, who's bending over, trying to stop himself from laughing so hard.
With a tight-lipped smile, you send him the finger, knowing that he's enjoying your embarrassment a little too much.
-
This was a bet, and you needed to win it. It wasn't like you were failing any of your classes, but you were tired of all the math homework Mr. Smith kept assigning. Plus, you'd love to see the defeated look on Jordan's face after Vada, and you successfully convinced your parents you found yourself a girlfriend.
In order to win this bet, you had to text Mia through Instagram direct messages and ask her where you could find Vada after school. Mia sent you a screenshot of Vada's Find My Phone, showing her location in a downtown park. You knew this was your chance to prove Jordan wrong and finally have some peace from Mr. Smith's math assignments.
Vada's eyes widen as she sees you walking closer to her, regardless, you send her your charming smile, which she doesn't reciprocate. "You know stalking is illegal in all 50 states, right?" Vada says, her voice laced with caution.
You quickly assure her that you were just trying to find her so you could talk. "I apologize if it seemed like stalking, but I genuinely wanted to have a conversation with you," you explain, hoping to ease her concerns.
"I'm not smart." Vada admits her eyes never leave yours. "What?" You breathe out a laugh, confused. "What? You think that I can tutor you or something?" Vada continues, a hint of vulnerability in her voice. "You're probably thinking, Oh, there's Vada, she dresses like a hippie—"
"Vada."
"—Barely has any friends."
"Vada."
"—She must at least be smart." You cut her off gently, placing a hand on her arm. "Vada, I have the fourth highest GPA in our grade." Vada looks at you with surprise evident in her eyes. "Really?" she asks, her voice filled with disbelief.
"Yes, really," you reply reassuringly. "It's true." You slightly jump at the sudden voice. Turning around, you see Vada's other best friend, Nick, sitting a few feet away.
"So what do you want? Is this some sort of dork outreach program?" Vada asks, rolling her eyes. "No, Vada," you say calmly, trying to hide your frustration. "I just wanted to hang out."
Vada raises an eyebrow, skeptical of your intentions. "Just hang out? With us?" she questions, her tone still laced with doubt. You nod, hoping to convince her that you genuinely want to enjoy their company. "Yeah, I thought it would be fun to get to know some new people," you explain, hoping she'll give you a chance.
"Sure, me and Vada were about to go to this stand-up comedy club. You can have my ticket if you want." Nick shrugs, ignoring the confused glare from his best friend.
Vada looks at Nick in surprise, clearly not expecting him to offer his ticket. "Really? You're giving up your ticket for her?" she asks, very confused. Nick shrugs again, flashing a grin while he holds out his ticket for you.
You take the ticket with a grateful smile, "Thank you, Nick. Are you sure? I could just buy my own if you want to go too." Nick shakes his head, "Nah, I've gotta go study for my presentation anyway." His phone chimes right after, and he quickly checks it, confirming his need to leave.
"Well, have fun at the club! Let me know how it goes," he says before hurriedly walking away. You watch him go, feeling a mix of gratitude and curiosity about why he would give up his ticket for you.
You send Vada a smile, "I guess I'm your plus one tonight." Vada narrows her eyes at you, still confused about why you, one of the most popular students in school, is so fascinated with her. "I'm still confused about why you're putting on this act. Are you trying to impress someone, or is there another reason behind it?"
You furrow your eyebrows, letting out a small laugh. "Are you always this skeptical? I assure you, there's no ulterior motive. I simply wanted to enjoy your company and spend the evening with you." Vada's expression softens slightly, but she still seems hesitant.
"Well, we should get going." Vada mumbles, brushing a small strand of hair behind her ear.
You follow Vada down the slightly busy streets, neon lights illuminating the sidewalks as people bustle by. You can't help but notice Vada's occasional glances in your direction, her guarded demeanor slowly melting away.
"I like your jewelry." It's unique and really suits your style," you comment, trying to ease the tension. Vada's face lights up with a genuine smile as she thanks you for the compliment.
"Do you always wear that letterman jacket? You look like you came straight out of a 90s movie." Vada says, laughing softly. "Oh, are you going to be an act too for this stand-up comedy thing?" You ask, joking.
"But, yeah, it's kind of my signature look," you reply with a chuckle. "I've always been drawn to that vintage aesthetic." Vada nods, her curiosity evident as she asks, "So, what other things inspire your style?"
"I don't know... I normally thrift a lot of my clothes," you admit. "Whether it's someone's old band t-shirt or their grandpa's old sweater, I love finding unique pieces. I also take inspiration from old photographs and films, especially from the 60s and 70s."
Vada smiles, clearly intrigued by your explanation. "I'm not a huge fashion before myself, but I don't know, I just like to be comfortable." You glance down at Vada's baggy attire, noticing the loose-fitting jeans and oversized hoodie.
"I totally get that," you reply. "Comfort is definitely important, and there's no right or wrong way to express yourself through fashion. It's all about finding what makes you feel good." Vada nods in agreement, playing with the drawstring on her hoodie.
-
There's an awkward silence as the comedian fails to deliver the punchline of his joke. Vada laughs in her own hand, trying not to be too loud. You can't help but smile as you glance at the shorter girl, confused. You lean into her ear, "I'm so confused. How was that funny?"
Vada chuckles and whispers back, "It wasn't. It was funny how no one was laughing." You glance around the room before laughing a bit yourself. She was right. Seeing the confused looks on everyone's faces made the situation even more amusing. It was as if the entire audience collectively missed the punchline.
You begin laughing even harder, unable to contain your amusement. The more you think about it, the funnier it becomes. Vada joins in on your laughter, hiding her face behind her hand as tears of laughter stream down her face.
"Why are you laughing, huh? You think it's easy to stand up here and try and do something you love?" The male comedian asks you, obviously upset that you're laughing at his expense. You quickly compose yourself, glancing at Vada, whose eyes are wide as she smiles, trying not to laugh again.
You raise your hand, trying to apologize for the misunderstanding, but the comedian interrupts you. "Well, if you think it's so easy, why don't you come up here and give it a shot?" he challenges, pointing towards the stage.
You shake your head with a tiny smile on your lips. "Come on, come up here." You squint your eyes as a light begins to shine on you from the stage. The audience starts cheering and encouraging you to take the comedian's challenge.
You look at Vada, "Go!" She says this, smiling as she pushes you from your seat. Reluctantly, you take a deep breath and make your way towards the stage, your heart beating in your chest. The comedian hands you the microphone with a smug look on his face.
Your shaky hands take the microphone, "Uh..." Your voice trembles as you try to gather your thoughts. You glance at an audience member who has a gutair strapped around their shoulder, and a lightbulb goes off in your head. "I'm not a comedian, but I can try and entertain you all another way."
With a nervous smile, you motion towards the audience member with the guitar, saying, "Can I borrow that for a second?" The audience member hesitates for a moment, but then nods and hands you the guitar. You place the microphone on its stand before stepping forward and strumming a few chords to test the sound.
"Something bad is bout' to happen to me. Why I feel this way, I don't know, baby." You sing with a raspy voice, closing your eyes and letting the music take over.
The crowd falls silent, captivated by the raw emotion in your performance. Vada is shocked, her eyes widening as she watches you on stage. She had no idea you could sing.
"I think of her so much it drives me crazy. I just don't want her to leave me."
You continue to sing Steve Lacy's iconic lyrics, pouring your heart out on stage. You hit the high notes, sending chills down the spines of everyone in the audience. This was much better than the comedy act they were just witnessing.
When you finish the song, Vada's the first one standing up and clapping, with others soon following. You open your eyes to see the crowd on their feet, their applause echoing through the venue. The look of surprise and admiration on Vada's face is priceless, and you can't help but smile broadly.
You push open the door to leave the club and are immediately greeted by a rush of cool night air. "That was so awesome! Just like...going up there and performing in front of all those people, it's such a rush," you exclaim, your eyes still shining with excitement.
Vada nods, her dimples deepening as she grins. "I never expected you to be such a natural on stage. It's like you were born to perform," she says, her voice filled with genuine admiration.
The two of you stop walking as you reach the edge of the sidewalk, taking a moment to catch your breath and let the adrenaline settle. The city lights twinkle above you, casting a magical glow on the vibrant streets below.
You glance over to Vada, and she glances back at you with a faint smile playing on her lips. "You hungry?" You ask, gesturing towards a nearby food truck. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling street food fills the air, making your stomach growl in response. Vada's eyes light up at the suggestion, and she nods eagerly, her excitement matching your own.
-
Vada smiles, her hair blowing in the wind due to the drop-top on your convertible. It's been three weeks since the comedy club, but the memory of that night still brings a smile to your face. The chemistry between you and Vada is undeniable, and you can't help but wonder what other adventures await the two of you.
Kali Uchis blasts through your speakers, filling the car with her soulful melodies. The warm sun kisses your skin as you drive along the scenic coastal road, creating the perfect backdrop for a carefree summer day.
You catch a glimpse of Vada through the side mirror, her hair blowing in the wind, and a contagious laugh escaping her lips. The connection between you two feels effortless, as if you've known each other for years.
"I just wanna get high with my lover!" Vada sings along to the lyrics, and you join in, "Veo una muñeca cuando miro en el espejo!"
Vada leans in closer to you, kissing your cheek gently while she sings more of the lyrics. "Kiss, kiss! Looking dolly, I think I might go out tonight. I just wanna ride get high in the moonlight."
The song proceeds to play, and your singing becomes more enthusiastic, matching Vada's energy. You both dance and laugh, completely lost in the moment. Soon, you both arrive at the beach, your phone ringing as you step outside the car.
"Hello?" You answer the phone and hear Jordan's voice on the other end. "Y/N! Where are you? I just stopped by your house, and you weren't there. I wanted to hang out tonight."
Vada waits patiently for you to end the phone call, holding all of your stuff in her hands.
"Oh, I'm uh...I'm not home right now." You mumble into the phone, scratching your nose. "Well, no shit. Where are you?"
"I'm actually at the beach with Vada," you reply, glancing at Vada, who raises an eyebrow curiously. "But maybe we can hang out tomorrow." You can basically hear the grin on Jordan's face.
"The beach, huh? You and Vada have been hanging out nearly every damn day. Don't tell me you're actually enjoying this bet, Y/LN." You chuckle and respond, "Goodbye, Jordan."
You quickly end the call, sending Vada a smile. You take the items from her hands, thankful for her help. As you start setting up your spot on the beach, Vada asks, "So, what did Jordan want?"
"To bother me," you reply with a dismissive wave. "He's always trying to pry into my business." Vada raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, but respects your privacy and doesn't press further. A part of you feels bad for becoming friends with Vada under such circumstances. She was a chill and easygoing person, and you found yourself truly enjoying yourself around her.
You couldn't help but wonder if you should tell her about the bet going on between you and Jordan or if you should just end the friendship altogether. It was a difficult decision to make, as you didn't want to risk losing the connection you had with Vada, but at the same time, keeping such a secret felt dishonest.
"Hey, where's the pump for this?" Vada asks, holding up the beach ball you packed with the rest of the beach gear. You smile, grateful for the distraction from your internal dilemma, and point her in the direction of the pump, except it's not there.
"Oh, shit." You frantically search through the beach bag, realizing that you must have forgotten to pack the pump. "Here, I'll just blow into it." You offer, trying to come up with a quick solution. However, as you start blowing into the beach ball, you quickly realize that it's going to take a lot more effort than you anticipated.
You feel yourself getting lightheaded as you continue to blow into the beach ball, desperately trying to inflate it. Vada giggles at your struggle, you send her a playful glare, but her laughter only encourages you to keep going.
"What if we take turns?" Vada suggests, hoping to alleviate some of the strain on you. You gratefully agree, handing her the faintly inflated beach ball. You expect her to wipe off the ball since your mouth was in fact directly on it, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Your heart begins racing. You basically just shared a kiss with Vada, even if it was through a beach ball. The thought of it sends a rush of excitement through your veins.
Vada hands you the ball back, slightly out of breath. You smile, hesitating for a moment before placing your lips on the ball again. After a while, the ball is fully inflated, and you both start tossing it back and forth, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
"Don't let it drop!" Vada yells out, her laughter echoing across the beach. You run as fast as you can, determined to keep the ball in the air. The sand squishes between your toes as you dive to smack it back into the air. The sound of the ball hitting your palm fills the air, creating a rhythmic pattern that matches the beat of your racing heart.
"God, do you play volleyball?" Vada asks, her eyes widening with excitement. You shake your head, catching your breath, and reply, "No, but I guess I could give it a try!"
You smack the ball a bit too hard, and it flies over Vada's head, landing in the sand behind her. She turns around, a playful grin on her face, and says, "I'm definitely not getting that." You chuckle, running over to retrieve the ball. Before you can, someone kicks it away, sending it rolling further down the beach.
"The fuck—" you stop yourself, looking up and noticing Jordan. Jordan, with a mischievous smirk on his face, shrugs and says, "Oops, my bad! Thought I'd give you a challenge."
"What are you doing here?" you ask, slightly annoyed by Jordan's interference. He chuckles and replies, "Just enjoying the beach with my friends."
You look behind him, noticing he's brought company—some of your friends and other people you've hung around with before. They wave at you, smiling and clearly excited to see you. Jordan adds, "We thought it would be fun to have a little gathering here. Hope you don't mind."
You narrow your eyes at your best friend. "You're an asshole. You're only doing this because I told you I was hanging out with Vada here." Jordan raises an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Come on, don't be like that. It's just a coincidence that you're both here too."
You let out a sigh, realizing that Jordan's actions were most likely intentional. Despite feeling annoyed, you decide to put aside your frustration and make the best of the situation. "Alright, fine. Now go get my beach ball."
Jordan smirks, clearly enjoying the power he holds over you. "Sure thing, but only if you promise to introduce me to Vada later." You roll your eyes, knowing that Jordan's ulterior motives are far from innocent.
You walk over to Vada, plopping down beside her on her towel. She looks up at you with a smile, unaware of the tension between you and Jordan. "Sorry about that. He just invited himself...and everyone else."
Vada smiles, shaking her head. "It's okay. If we're going to be friends, I'd have to meet your other friends anyway." You chuckle, relieved that Vada doesn't seem bothered by Jordan's presence.
You begin unbuttoning your shirt, feeling a bit hot in it, leaving you in your white tank top. Vada glances over at you, her eyes lingering for a moment before she looks away, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks.
Jordan walks over and throws the beach ball, obviously aiming to hit your face. You quickly catch it, sending your best friend a glare. Jordan lets out a silly laugh, clearly enjoying the playful banter. Vada raises an eyebrow at Jordan's antics, but her smile remains intact as she watches the interaction between the two of you.
"Someone has the guns out." Austin, another one of your friends says, walking toward the group with a mischievous grin. You roll your eyes at his comment, playfully flexing your muscles in response.
"You mean these?" You flex your biceps, exaggerating the muscles for comedic effect. Austin chuckles and nods, teasingly adding, "Yeah, those tiny peashooters." You playfully throw the ball at him, pretending to be offended by his remark.
"Alright, stop showing off in front of the pretty lady." Jordan teases, winking at Vada. Vada's face breaks into confusion, as she wonders if Jordan's comment was meant as a compliment or a joke. She looks at Austin for clarification, who shrugs and smirks, leaving her even more uncertain about the situation.
"Let's play a full game of volleyball," Austin suggests, picking up the beachball that had been thrown at him. Vada eagerly agrees, grateful for the distraction from the awkward tension between Jordan and herself.
You all split into two teams, with Vada and Jordan on one side and Austin and you on the other. Jordan serves the ball with a powerful swing, causing Austin to dive to the sand to make a save.
"Stop trying so hard, bitch!" Austin yells at Jordan with a smile on his lips. Jordan laughs, brushing off the comment with a playful smirk. The friendly banter between them lightens the atmosphere, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the game even more.
Mid-game, Vada takes off her slightly baggy shirt, which she tied with a knot at the front, revealing her bikini. You notice Jordan staring at Vada, his eyes lingering on her, causing jealousy to rise within you.
You smack the ball against Jordan's head, catching him off guard and breaking his gaze. He glares at you, earning a shrug, as you innocently raise your hands in defense. "You had a bug on your head."
-
You're dropping Vada off at her house after the game when she turns to you with a smile. "Thanks for saving me from Jordan's ogling," she says, playfully nudging your arm. "I owe you one."
You smile, blushing a bit. "You saw that?" You ask, your eye's widening slightly. Vada chuckles and nods, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "Oh, I definitely saw that. You were like my personal superhero swooping in to save the day."
"Well, I couldn't let him make you uncomfortable," you reply, feeling a surge of protectiveness. "I'm always here to look out for you." Vada's smile widens, and she leans in closer. You glance behind her and say, "I could walk you to the door.
Vada blinks and looks at you, her expression softening. "Sure." You quickly get out of the car, making your way to Vada's side. Shoving your hands in your pockets to hide your nerves, you match Vada's pace as you both walk towards her front door. The night air is cool, but the warmth of Vada's presence makes it feel comforting.
"If you want, we could hang out tomorrow?" You ask, hoping to spend more time with Vada. Before she could respond, her front door flies open. A short figure emerges from the doorway, causing both you and Vada to pause. It's Vada's younger sister who greets you with a friendly smile.
"Hey, guys! What are you up to?" she asks, oblivious to the tension in the air.
"Oh my god, Amelia." Vada exclaims, clearly annoyed with her younger sister's interruption. Amelia shrugs innocently, not realizing the impact of her sudden appearance. Vada takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself before addressing the situation.
"Mom! Vada brought a lesbian home!" Amelia shouts, slightly turning her head towards her mother, who is in the next room.
Everyone freezes, unsure of how to react to Amelia's unexpected announcement. Vada's face turns red with embarrassment while you thin out your lips, confused and a bit amused.
Vada's mouth drops. "I am so sorry." She says to you, her voice filled with genuine remorse. You shrug her off while Amelia gasps. "Oh, are you not a lesbian?"
You chuckle, "Um...I do like girls." Before Amelia could press you for more information, Vada's mom appears in the doorway. "What's going on here?" she asks, her voice laced with worry. Vada quickly explains the situation, hoping to diffuse any potential tension.
"I was just dropping Vada off from the beach," you also add, trying to ease any concerns. "We were just having a casual conversation, nothing serious." Vada's mom looks relieved and nods understandingly.
"Well, as long as everyone is okay," she says with a smile. You exchange a grateful glance with Vada, grateful for her mom's understanding.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Vada's mom offers, wanting to extend her gratitude for your honesty and reassure you that everything is alright. You glance at Vada, who stares at her mom with a shocked expression. "That would be really nice," you respond, feeling touched by Vada's mom's kindness.
Dinner was fun. Amelia had no filter, which made everything hilarious and entertaining. She shared funny and embarrassing stories of Vada, which Vada tries to interrupt with playful protests. Despite the initial shock, Vada soon joins in on the laughter, realizing that her sister's antics brought out a huge and genuine smile on your face.
There were also serious moments during dinner where Vada's parents questioned you about your future plans and aspirations. They were genuinely interested in your goals and offered advice and support. It was refreshing to have such meaningful conversations with Vada's family, making you feel like a valued member of their circle.
You throw yourself on Vada's bed, falling face first onto the soft pillows. Vada plops on top of your back, laughing at your dramatic entrance. She soon rolls off of you, and you lay on your back, gazing up at the ceiling.
Vada was such a breath of fresh air in your life. Her carefree spirit is infectious, and you can't help but feel happy every single time you're around her.
She has a way of making even the simplest moments feel special, and her laughter is like music to your ears. Being friends with Vada has brought so much joy and light into your life, and you can't imagine what it would be like without her.
Fuck this bet, you think to yourself. Vada's friendship is worth so much more than any silly wager.
"You look deep in thought." Vada's voice interrupts your contemplation, pulling you back to the present moment.  "What's on your mind?" she asks, her eyes filled with genuine concern.
You turn your head towards Vada, a small smile forming on your lips. "I was just thinking about how grateful I am to have you as a friend," you say sincerely. "Your friendship means the world to me."
"You're so sappy." Vada mumbles, laughing softly. You break out into a smile. "I'm pouring my heart out here, c'mon!" You tease playfully, putting on an Italian accent.
Vada rolls her eyes, but her smile betrays her amusement. "That was one of the worst Italian accents I've ever heard," she says, chuckling. "But...you mean a lot to me too."
You feel a warm rush of affection as Vada's words sink in. "I'm glad to hear that," you reply, licking your lips. A comfortable silence falls over the two of you as you both bask in the genuine connection and shared vulnerability. Your eyes never leave each other, as if speaking a language that only the two of you understand.
"Is that all?" Vada breaks the silence. "Or is there something else you want to say?"
"Be my girlfriend?" Vada's eyes widen with surprise, and she stares at you.  She takes a moment to process your words before responding, "Okay."
-
"I'm even more excited than I was." Jordan smiles, "I can't believe you got away with that." You shake your head at your best friend, an eye roll following.
"No, seriously. You asked her to be your girlfriend, it's barely been a month, and you didn't even kiss her after? Shits crazy."
You put the last plate on the table, "Shut the fuck up, Jordan."
Jordan chuckles, raising his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, I'll drop it. But seriously, man, you might've won this bet. Still gotta get the parents approval, though."
You let out a sigh, saying, "Maybe we should drop this bet, man." Jordan raises an eyebrow, a mischievous grin forming on his face. "Are you getting cold feet already? Come on, don't tell me you're chickening out now."
You shoot him a glare but can't help but feel a twinge of doubt. "It's just... I don't want to risk ruining our friendship over some stupid bet." Jordan starts to smirk. "Oh shit, you actually caught feeling for her? You can't be serious."
You roll your eyes, trying to brush off Jordan's teasing. "So, what? She's a nice girl, and I don't want to mess things up with this stupid bet about her."
Jordan chuckles, bringing his fist to his mouth. "I can't believe you're actually considering backing out because of a little crush. You've never been one to shy away from a challenge before."
He sighs, adding to his argument. "How about this? If your parents go for it, we'll drop the bet. But if they don't, you have to tell her it was a bet and apologize for any hurt feelings. It's only fair to give her the truth and a chance to decide if she still wants to pursue a relationship with you."
"Fine." You mutter, leaving the room with a heavy sigh.
Vada arrives at your doorstep, a nervous smile on her face. She seems unaware of the bet that has been made and the doubts that have been plaguing you. As you open the door, you can't help but wonder if this could be the start of something real or if it's all just a game that will eventually come crashing down.
You bring Vada into a hug, mumbling into her ear, "I'm glad you're here." Vada returns the hug, sighing contentedly. You pull away, looking into her eyes.
"My dad is in the kitchen." Vada nods, hearing Bad Bunny blaring from the speakers. "Where's your mom?" You begin walking toward the kitchen, "She's in the living room, finishing up the tree. I'll introduce you to her later. Let's go say hi to my dad first." Vada smiles and follows you, playing with her ring as you lead the way.
"Una dominicana que es uva bombón!" Your dad shouts, singing the lyrics. Jordan joins in, singing the next line. "Uva, uva bombón!" You facepalm, shaking your head at their silliness. Vada giggles, clearly amused by their antics.
"Dad!" You shout, trying to regain their attention. "We have a guest here, remember?" Your dad and Jordan finally notice Vada standing there, and their faces light up with surprise and excitement. "Oh wow, who do we have here?" your dad asks, extending his hand towards Vada.
"This is Vada, my girlfriend." You introduce Vada with a smile. Vada returns the gesture, shaking your dad's hand warmly. "Girlfriend? Am I dreaming?" your dad exclaims, a wide grin spreading across his face. "I never thought I'd see the day! It's great to finally meet you, Vada."
You sigh at your father. "Es bonita, mija." You clear your throat, blushing a bit. "Suficiente papá." Your dad chuckles and playfully nudges you. "No need to be shy. I'm just happy to see you happy." Vada smiles warmly at both of you, grateful for the warm welcome.
Your mom walks in, her eyes widening with surprise as she takes in the scene. "Well, well, well," she says with a smirk. "Looks like someone finally found themselves a catch." You roll your eyes at your mom's teasing, but deep down, you appreciate her support and acceptance.
Vada begins talking to your parents while you excuse yourself to speak to Jordan. "Looks like I won the bet." You say with a playful smile, feeling a sense of triumph. Jordan chuckles and shakes his head, admitting defeat.
"Jordan, Y/N, come help me bring out the food." Your mom calls out, breaking the playful banter between you and Jordan. You both exchange amused glances before making your way to help her, Vada also joins, eager to lend a hand.
Jordan is the last to leave the kitchen, hearing your parents talk about Vada. "Crees que es otro truco?" Your dad asks your mom. Jordan leans against the kitchen counter, listening intently to your parents' conversation about Vada. He raises an eyebrow, curious about their suspicions.
"No lo sé, cariño. Parece genuino, no crees?" Your dad shrugs at your mother's question, contemplating the authenticity of Vada's intentions. Jordan rushes out to the dining room, catching you staring at Vada like a lovesick puppy.
"Y/N." Jordan calls out your name, interrupting your daydreaming and bringing you back to reality. You hum, nodding your head at him. "Can I talk to you for a second?" You nod and follow Jordan to a quieter corner of the room.
"I heard your parents talking about how they think this is a trick." He begins to smirk, "Maybe this bet may be mine anyways." You roll your eyes, tired of this stupid bet.
"Whatever bro. I just wanna eat and enjoy dinner without any drama." Jordan chuckles, his smirk fading slightly. "Come on, Y/N. You know it's all in good fun. Besides, it's not like Vada and you are actually gonna last." You raise an eyebrow at him, wondering what he's getting at.
"What do you mean by that?" you ask, leaning in closer to Jordan. "Are you trying to say that Vada and I don't have a real connection?" Jordan shrugs, a sneaky glint in his eyes. "I'm just saying, Y/N, relationships at our age rarely go the distance. But hey, prove me wrong."
You scoff at him, "Sure...whatever you say. Don't be shocked when Vada and I prove you wrong and end up together for the long haul." Jordan raises an eyebrow, his sneaky glint fading slightly. "Well, I guess time will tell," he concedes, a hint of doubt in his voice.
When dinner ends, everyone begins to clean up and put away the dishes. "Have you seen my AirPods anywhere?" you ask Jordan, hoping he might have seen them. "You left them in my car like an entire month ago."
You roll your eyes and playfully nudge him. "Seriously? You couldn't have mentioned that earlier?" Jordan chuckles and shrugs. "I guess I wanted to see how long it would take for you to realize they were missing."
"You're a dickhead."
"Language!" From the kitchen, your mom scolds, reminding you to watch your language. You sheepishly apologize and snatch Jordan's keys from him. He glares at you, pulling at his phone that began ringing in his pocket.
"Wanna get some air?" You ask Vada, gesturing towards the open front door. Vada nods, following behind you as you step outside. "Your parents are nice. They're pretty chill, and your mom is honestly like drop-dead gorgeous."
You chuckle. "Do I have to compete with my mom for your attention now?" Vada laughs and playfully nudges you. "Nah, don't worry. You're more than enough for me."
You walk to Jordan's car, leaning against it as you wait for Vada to join you. "Wanna sit in the car?" You suggest, knowing that it might be more comfortable than standing outside. Vada considers for a moment before agreeing, "Sure, why not? It's a bit chilly out here." You both settle into the car, leaning back in the back leather seats.
Silence falls between you as you take in the peacefulness of the moment.
You look over at Vada, a soft smile playing on your lips. Vada turns her head to you before sitting up in her seat, leaning forward slightly. Her eyes fall to your lips, staring at them intently.
Without thinking, she leans in closer, capturing your lips with a gentle yet passionate kiss. The warmth of her touch sends a shiver down your spine, and you find yourself lost in the moment, forgetting about the chilly weather outside.
The kiss begins to deepen as Vada's hands slide up to cup your face, pulling you even closer. You find yourself melting against her lips, savoring the taste of her soft, sweet breath.
You pull away, breathless and hot, your heart racing as you lock eyes with Vada. "Can I turn on the A/C?" You mutter to the freckled-faced girl. Vada chuckles but nods regardless.
You put the key in the ignition and start the car, the engine purring to life. The cool air from the A/C quickly fills the car, providing a refreshing contrast to the heated moment that just transpired.
You bring Vada into another kiss, more passionate and urgent than before. The intensity between you both grows as you explore each other's mouths, losing yourselves in the heat of the moment. Your hand is tangled in Vada's hair, pulling her closer to you if that were possible.
"Y/N's still doing that bet with Vada?" You recognize that voice, it was Austin. You pull away from Vada, your eyes falling on Jordan's car screen, confirming he was on the phone with Austin. It must've connected to the car automatically, allowing Austin's voice to fill the car.
You quickly release Vada and feel a rush of embarrassment wash over you. You exchange a nervous glance with Vada, hoping Austin doesn't go in detail about the bet you've been participating in.
"It's silly, really. This all started because she didn't wanna do her math homework? So she decided to start dating baby Adam Sandler and introduce her to her parents? That's pretty fucked up. If I were Vada, I'd be pissed."
You close your eyes, taking a deep breath to steady your racing heart. The weight of Austin's words hangs heavy in the air. You hope that Vada understands that it was all just a silly game and that she won't hold it against you.
"Is he serious? A bet? Am I a bet to you?" You feel a knot forming in your stomach as Vada's voice trembles with hurt and disbelief. The realization hits you like a ton of bricks, and you quickly shake your head, desperately trying to find the right words to explain yourself.
"Am I a fucking bet to you?" Vada's voice cracks with anger, and tears well up in her eyes. The pain in her words cuts deep, leaving you speechless and filled with regret. You reach out to touch her arm, hoping to convey your sincerity and remorse, but the damage may already be done.
Vada pushes away your arm, opening the car door and slamming it shut behind her. Her actions speak louder than words, and you watch helplessly as she walks away, leaving you to grapple with the consequences of your thoughtless words.
Jordan rushes to the driver's side of the door, out of breath. "Did she hear?" Jordan asks, panting as he rests his hand on the car door. The worry in his eyes mirrors your own as you shake your head, uncertain of how to fix the mess you've made. "She did."
-
It's been two days, and you've called Vada's phone and sent multiple texts, but there's been no response. The silence only amplifies your guilt and regret as you desperately hope for a chance to apologize and make things right.
You decide to call her house phone, surprised when someone answers. "Mrs. Cavell?" You ask on the phone, hoping to speak with Vada's mother. "It's Amelia, asshole. Don't call again."
You're bewildered by the harsh response from Amelia. You never expected her to be so angry and hostile toward you. "Amelia, please. Just put your sister on the phone."
You plead, hoping to reason with Amelia and convince her to let you speak with Vada. However, Amelia's voice remains firm and cold as she refuses your request, leaving you feeling even more desperate and regretful.
"If I buy you $100 worth of slime supplies, will you let me talk to Vada?" you offer, trying to find a compromise. But Amelia's response is immediate and resolute, "No amount of slime supplies will change my mind. Don't contact us again."
"Fine! $200!" you exclaim, desperation creeping into your voice. Amelia stays silent for a moment, finally giving in. "Our parents are out. If you come over, you have ten minutes to speak to her." Relief washes over you as Amelia finally agrees to let you talk to Vada, even if it means spending more money.
With a renewed sense of urgency, you quickly make plans to rush over to their house within the given time frame, hoping that this opportunity will help mend the strained relationship between you and Vada.
You burst through Vada's room, and she jumps up in surprise, her eyes widening as she takes in your unexpected presence. "I'm on limited time by your sister, so I have to make this quick."
You take a deep breath, walking closer to Vada. "I made that bet before I met you, Vada. And spending time with you made me realize that winning that bet was not what was important anymore. What matters to me now is repairing our relationship and showing you how much you mean to me."
Vada's expression softens as she listens, her guard slowly starting to come down. "I never wanted to hurt you, Vada. I want us to start fresh and build something real together."
"What was it for anyway? I mean, what did you end up losing?" Vada asks, her curiosity piqued. You take another step closer before continuing. "I lost a lot of things, Vada. I lost your trust, our connection, and the chance to truly be there for you. But what I gained was the realization that you are the most important person in my life and the one girl that my parents truly approve of."
Vada stands up, playing with the bottom of her shirt. She looks down for a moment, deep in thought, before finally meeting your gaze. "Don't make me sing again." You jokingly mutter, looking down at the shorter girl.
Vada's eyes widen, and a small smile tugs at the corners of her lips. "No, not this time," she says playfully. "But I do expect you to make it up to me in some other way."
You smile, leaning down and lifting Vada's chin with your finger. Vada glances at your lips before looking back up into your eyes. You smirk before closing the distance between you, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss.
Your worries fade away, drowning in the sound of your heart pounding against your ribcage. Vada's arms wrap around your neck, pulling you closer, and you can't help but let out a content sigh against her lips.
As you pull away, Vada's cheeks flush with a rosy hue, and she bites her lip, opening her mouth to speak but is interrupted. "Ten minutes is up. Where's my $200?" Amelia says from Vada's door, holding out her hand expectantly.
Vada pulls away from you, confused. "What is she talking about?" You clear your throat. "I might've...um...made a deal with Amelia so she could let me talk to you."
Vada's eyes widen in surprise as she processes your words. "You paid her to see me?" she asks, laughing. You smile sheepishly, "Well, I wanted to make sure I had a chance to talk to you without any interruptions. It was worth every penny."
Vada's laughter fills the room as she playfully nudges your shoulder, "You're ridiculous, but I'm glad you did."

OKAY, I think I'm done for now.
@electrozeistyking and I a little while ago talked about how GD!N would react to DAS!Cyn. They went on about in a reblog but basically he would be extremely happy bc DAS!Cyn is a separate entity to the Absolute Solver, therefore meaning she's not the one behind everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So at first they probably both would be extremely happy. DAS!Cyn in her own AU upon meeting N first is absolutely terrified that he might hate her after everything the AS made her do. So the fact GD!N would react very positively to her presence would be a huge a relief to her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, the issue is that the "Dormant" in "Dormant" Absolute Solver is in quotations for a reason. It simply lost interest in her as a main host / had no need for her anymore. It still has admin rights over DAS!Cyn and she still has a Solver Form. Though she doesn't use it by choice bc of PTSD triggers (until possibly a specific point in Ep7 but I'm waiting for ep8 to decide).
So yeah I think that would make both GD!N and DAS!Cyn kinda anxious to put it lightly.
(More Art and stuff under cut because this crossover has been living RENT FREE IN MY HEAD)
Also fun fact
Tumblr media
@electrozeistyking has mentioned and shown Beanie finding comfort in the sound of her fathers core.
Well funny story.
DAS!Cyn always was comforted by her brothers core back at the manor, when they first reuite at the start of Ep6 and she sees DAS!Uzi summon her Solver wings and tail, her instinct is pressing closer to DAS!Ns chest for comfort. Her memories of the Solver features are very very blurry, but she is triggered by seeing them regardless.
I thought It was cute the girls have that in common, so I decided to draw them and GD!N sleeping with the girls having their heads close to his core :3
OKAY FINALLY WE GET TO THE DOODLE PAGE
I didn't feel like fully making these so they're sketchy doodles :"
Tumblr media
The first two are based on Zeisty saying GD!N would probably pick DAS!Cyn up and spin her around. Also you probably noticed between this doodle, the first drawing & the Tiny!N & DAS crossover post, but DAS!Cyn displays flowers on her visor to emote happiness!
The 3rd and 4th are just random interactions between the kiddos lol. I feel like Beanie probably would be happy to have another Auntie, not to mention one closer to her age so they can do silly kid stuff together. DAS!Cyn... oh boy
She would feel a whole range of emotions; grief about missing so much of her brothers life (like he has a kid ffs), guilt and self blame after finding out what happened to Uzi (she blames herself for everything the AS caused, even tho she never agreed to it) which might end up in a "slight" breakdown, anger at the AS for causing GD!N that kind of pain and eventually once she processed all those emotions she probably would be excited to get to know Beanie. Like!! Imagine finding out you have a little Niece!!
She probably would struggle to easily keep up with Beanie bc she still has motor issues like in canonverse so she's a little slower, so it'd be mostly her trying not to fall over her own feet whilst being dragged around by an excited toddler who probably even with child lock is stronger than her lmao.
Also I drew DAS!Cyn in an alternate outfit bc I wanted to actually kinda show the oil reserve canister,,,
Tumblr media
Ok wanting to respond to the hashtags specifically bc :)) yay
Also ig this is some DAS lore fact drops lol
Yeah, DAS!Cyn kinda didn't take it well either when she first realized the AS technically can still take over if it really wanted to after she transferred bodies in an attempt to escape. Imagine getting your core nearly crushed in an attempt to flee from robo satan just to find out entity STILL can use you for their bidding. Like!!! Damn that's not fair the kid nearly fucking died trying to break free!!!
DAS!Cyn definitely would want to spare Beanie the horrors too. DAS!Cyn herself is mentally like 7-10/11 at best 6-9 at worst -- despite kids usually just saying whatever comes to mind, she repressed most AS related stuff for a reason, she definitely wouldn't share what she knows with her newfound niece
I feel things would be either super great and happy or super traumatizing depending on when in the timeline we throw DAS!Cyn at them. If she's there during ep 6-7? Oh boy. Oh no. DAS!Cyn & DAS!N have an exchange during Ep7 that would not go over so well if it was GD!N in DAS!Ns place, because it would be awfully similar to GD!Uzis death -- she doesn't die, because DAS!N can't get himself to shoot with her being so close to the AS, despite her literally shouting at him to do it and that she won't be angry, that'll be fine. -- yeah I don't think GD!N would handle that well 😭 Zeisty feel free to get the angst train rolling if you wanna add your two cents on how that'd go over -- any point before that? Probably fine. Post S1? I'd imagine also fine depending on what Ep8 throws at us (except like... look at ideas list for more info*)
I'll assume that'd be Beanie reacting to seeing DAS!Cyn having the Solver tail and possibly the glitching Solver symbol in her visor. Yeah she definitely would try to play it off and go try and hide somewhere until she can get it under control again. High stress or negative emotions causes her Solver to act up (unrelated to the AS, just her own Solver form without the entity controlling anything!!) So what I said above to her reaction to the news of GD!Uzi being dead? And possibly finding out the reason why? Yeah that might trigger her tail and wings to pop out and her to basically be reduced to a hyperventilating ball on the floor because of proceeding to blame herself for all of GD!Ns suffering due to thinking the AS actions & it being a danger are her fault
Other things I kinda wanted to doodle but didn't for now, might do at a later point;
Cyn still has a Solver Core, which is the same as a DD core (except smaller lol). So I was playing with the idea of Beanie noticing that her core sounds different from GD!Ns due to hers being severely damaged and actively leaking after the AS attempted to crush it during the body transfer. DAS!Cyn then trying to play it off
Some kind of acknowledgement of the Oil reserve canister on DAS!Cyns back, it was made by Tessa before the AS did the medurder and stuff. It's supposed to help keep the Solver in check by preventing overheating, hence why its directly connected to her chest where her core is
There was something else but it slipped my mind
Smth I'm not gonna say publicly for now until Zeisty posts something about it and/or eventually posts the chapters bc I don't want to spoil esp not bc it isn't my place to :" (if you're curious, Zeisty, lmk I can tell you in VC or DMs lol) but it partly would possibly be related to the 1st idea listed
* I have an idea for what happens to Cyns original body (the one the AS uses & that wears Tessa) post Ep8 IF Ep8 let's me do it that is. I think it could be fun to crossover that idea bc of GD!Ns ghost sight.... tho it definitely also would be fucking stressful and trauma inducing bc Solver stuff sooo yeah rip (again, if you want I could elaborate in vc or DMs on this bc I want to first wait and see what the season finale brings before I do anything "official" with this)
GD!N reacting to the information that DAS!Cyn canonly shot "Tessas" gun at the AS (well technically at its tentacles. Point being that kid fired a gun/knows how to use one) -- which again could be very interesting if we were to toss them into the same Ep7 bc that's when she does it
Possibly GD!N finding out ab the scars/cracks surrounding DAS!Cyns core bc,,, yeah
Anyways uuuhh heightbsheet bc I'm 99% sure I drew stuff inaccurate
Tumblr media
These were actually so fun to draw and think & talk about. I'll post the GD x IC crossover once I'm done with that (yes, yes there is more than what you already saw Zeisty. Not much more but more nonetheless)

jacaerys velaryon x reader
warnings: angst, death.
a/n: hello sweet angel, thank you for your kind words, I hope you like this<3
°°°
Before you met Jace, you had a terrible fear of heights. Not even sailing you could handle.
You were quite babied by both your parents, being their only child and the light of their life.
Nothing less than a prince would be good enough for their little girl, and nothing less of a prince was what you got.
The prince however, as much as he loved to spoil you, was not the coddling type.
It only felt like yesterday when he made you strike a deal with him, dragon riding with him, and in return he'd take you with him to see snow for the first time.
It was a fair deal, You suffered the brutal wind and terrifying heights on top of Vermax, and when the journey ended, you found yourselves on a stack of snow in am abandoned state near Winterfell, not quite in their territory.
You remember feeling bolder since that day, requesting he reaches you how to use a sword the next evening.
His cautiousness around you with the metal frustrated you, resulting in you accidentally slicing a strand of his hair before knocking him over as you trip on a rock.
Barely caring about his hair, your falling incident became years long jokes he makes sure to tell everyone he meets as he starts introducing you as his wife to them.
When war became nearer, you begged him to return to the safety of your mother's home, insisting it'd be safer for you and the growing babe in your stomach.
His anxiousness resulted in rejection at first, but when the news of his aunt Helaena's death spreads after the murder of her children, panic overcame him, and he agreed.
You never reached home,
Jacaerys thanks the gods that the ravens reached Dragonstone before your departure. Both your parents have been murdered in their homes as your household was set on fire.
He remembered how you knelt by the table when the words left his mouth.
How you stared at him, mouth agape, waiting for him to call it off as a joke, except it wasn't.
And he remembers how your whole body shook in his arms and your tears soaked through his shirt, body turning limp as you sobbed till you fainted againts his chest.
Since that day, you barely left your room.
Despite having less risks of physical harm, your mental state was receding.
The queen herself, sat by your side one afternoon, Her voice calm and steady as she tells you stories of her childhood tales with her own deceased parents, and to stories of your husband growing up.
Though your mind and heart was numb and your body weak, the babe inside you was strong, you recalled.
A prideful smile graces the queen's face as she succeeds in pulling a laugh out of you.
Her grin disappears as it came when you gasped out aloud, hands coming around your belly.
"What is it- Shall I fetch the maesters?" She questions immediately.
You shook your head and grabbed her hand in yours before putting it on top of your stomach.
"Oh it moved- I felt it!" The babe kicked again before you could continue, pulling an awed laugh out of your mother on law.
You smiled throughout the night as you revelled in the bliss if pre-motherhood in your husband's arms.
"We need to think of names" You mumbled to him, sleepy. He hummed againts your temple before kissing it.
"You are late, I've already been narrowing down options since you were declared with child." You snorted at him.
"What if it's a girl?" You asks.
"Visenya, a name fit for a queen." He suggests.
You shook your head and moved upwards to prop yourself on your elbow to hover over him. "No I meant- What- what would her fate be if she was born a girl." Your husband frowns at your sudden panic and his hands finds your waist as he pulls you down to him.
"Her fate is that she'd be a daughter of a pair of parents that would kill to protect her. Just as they'd kill to protect eachother."
He was right about one thing. You would kill for eachother.
And mostly you would kill yourselves for eachother.
Out of all the things he remembered, this, he wish he never does.
He couldn't breath as he begs his eyes to call it's trick of light. He swears loudly before demanding Vermax to fly down immediately.
You were not in the battlefield, as you shouldn't be. But that's what the greens had expected, that's what they wanted.
Vermax lowers himself as he roars out fire to the rider of the biggest dragon.
"Kill me and you kill her." Aemond spits out, a hand holding onto you in front of him on Vaghar while the other holds a dagger to the veins on your neck.
"Kill her and you'll wish I'd have killed you too." His voice booms loudly through the sky.
"A child for a child-" Aemond starts.
"But a wife could do as well."
Jacaerys' screams spread through the sky as the dagger slits through your throat and he watches you fall down the beast of a dragon.
Vermax storms towards Aemond and blazes fire towards him before retaliation could be thought of.
"Vermax enough!" Jace screams.
Your name replaces Vermax' in his rage of shouting as he sobs out for you.
His dragon dives down immediately towards where your body landed.
Jace wastes no time getting off of him as he scrambles towards the pieces of your body.
Your head was split from your neck and your eyes bulged out wide.
He feels his chest squeezes as he screams for the mercy of death from the gods.
His head finds your already cold and pale chest and his hands pushes and trembles over your body for a sign of a pulse.
You remained unresponsive while he curses himself and the world.
A gasp was heard in front of him, he lifts his tear stricken face to stare into his step father's face.
"She's still here, I can feel her, she's not gone-"
The prince consort pulls Jace away from your cold body by his arm and shook him hard.
"Jacaerys listen to me, she's dead, it's no use-"
"NO-" The unbridled rage in him pushes him to shove the prince off.
"She's not gone, she can't be." Daemon's face turns helpless as he watches Jace runs back down to your deceased self, tearing his vest open, trying and failing to wrap it around your broken and bleeding neck.
"Help me-" His voice was hoarse as he sobs out for his stepfather's help.
"Gods you're fucking useless, you're all fucking useless." He rants as the vest tuns dark by the colour of your blood drenching it.
"Why aren't you helping her? Why is no one helping her!" He cried out, the words drowned out as mumbles as his buries his face on your stomach, his hands no longer holding the cloth to your throat.
His whole body shudders as he screams out from his lungs, face red in anger and desperation.
"Jace-" Daemon's voice begins again and he feels the prince's light touch on his shoulder.
"We will take her back, She'll be given a proper burial-..." Everything that was spoken from then on was turned on deaf ears.
His beloved was gone.
Her hands were no longer warm. And her eyes no longer bright, and he will never hear the music of her laugh ever again.

I am drawn between two options !!
So Adrien and Marinette Do Not get along as superheroes, due to the rivalry over their love interest, but is it the same as civilians?? Coz there's two options:
1) Adrien and Marinette have a rivalry over something in civilian form, maybe Marinette caught Adrien with the gum on her seat and the umbrella scene didn't happen, maybe it just never rained that day so there was no chance for Adrien to redeem himself
So now Marinette lumps Adrien together with Chloe, coz no friend of her could possibly be nice, and Adrien just doesn't have the energy to correct her so he just rolls his eyes and gets on with his day (coz please let me boy have at least a bit of back bone and let him stick up for himself for once) and they sorta just send daggers through their eyes to each other coz they're melodramatic
They also have an academic rivalry coz they're battling for second best of the class (obviously Max is first) and also they battle for Class President too, dragging Nino and Alya into their rivalry too (but they love each other too much to let it get to them, they just play along)
OR !!!
2) Adrien and Marinette are like this 🤞 out of the masks, they are the bestest bestest friends coz, although they love Nino and Alya very much, they always end up getting stuck together for outings and hangouts, Nino and Alya will constantly ditch them to go on dates
This time the umbrella scene does happen, but instead of Marinette falling in love (because by this point she's already falling in love with Scarletbug) she just realises that Adrien isn't actually an asshole like Chloe, so she decides she'll accept his advances at becoming friends
And they just get along so well !! they have so much in common, so many similar hobbies and interests and just a lot to talk abt and they pretty much hit off immediately
These four become inseparable,
and obviously there's the ppl who start shipping Adrien and Marinette but they either ignore them or are oblivious to the talk - they're just really good friends coz they're superhero counterparts have a rivalry and the irony of the situation is just hilarious and also they just haven't fallen in love with each other yet,, yet
And I mean ig I could make it that Marinette does fall for Adrien during the famous umbrella scene, but I don't think that's fair coz Adrien thinks he's gay, in this AU, and he doesn't realise until later on that he's actually bi
and also he's very open about his gayness, it's one of the first things he casually mentions after he gets to know a person and can trust them (didn't take him that long to trust Nino or Marinette) so Marinette would know that she doesn't stand a chance (yet) and I just dont think that's fair on her and I wouldn't wanna write that either
edit: i wanted to clarify that Adrien isn’t out yet to the public, he isn’t a public gay figure (yet) because he hasn’t really told his dad yet and he doesnt even feel like telling his dad coz his dad is a POS that probably wouldn’t even remember his name if it wasn’t plastered all over the city so Adrien just doesn’t waste his breath (eventually though, Adrien comes out to his dad in a heated argument and idk what the outcome that discussion will be just yet)

Tumblr media
it's been a week since kiri last saw you. in fact, it's been a week since she left her family's marui, isolating herself from everyone, even her siblings. she was heartbroken, truly. especially because you didn't even try to visit her. regretting leaving home on that damn night, the girl couldn't keep tears from falling down from her eyes. if you hadn't kissed, everything would be normal right now. if only she wasn't so idiotic, you would still be with her.
and she felt angry, too. angry because you didn't had the guts to sort things out. angry because you wouldn't leave ao'nung. she knew you were scared of this situation, as much as she was. she was angry because you were a coward. and mostly, she was angry because she couldn't stop loving you. but who was she to call you a coward anyways? it's not like she was trying to make things right too. her head was a mess, bottled up feelings from all the past years coming to haunt the poor girl.
her feelings for you were old news; you have been kiri's whole word since you were fourteen. but she knew the two of you was never going to happen. so she settled with being your best friend, comforting you whenever your stupid ass boyfriend hurt you or when you got into those awful fights with your parents just to protect him. but since that night at the beach, something lit up inside of her — for a brief moment, she felt like you could be happy together.
nonsense. soon, you and ao'nung were going to be mated before eywa; you would be forever stuck with him mistreating and cheating on you. and kiri would be alone forever, because let's be honest, she couldn't love someone as much as she loved you.
she heard footsteps getting closer. more than anything, her heart wished it was you, saying that you were leaving ao'nung. that she was the choosen one. but of course this was just a stupid dream of hers.
"kiri?" her brother called, entering the marui. she let out an annoyed sigh in response, hiding her face on the pillows. "come on. when are you going to leave?"
"i do not want to be bothered right now, neteyam."
"just tell me what's going on. everyone is worried — y/n has been asking about you."
oh no. kiri felt her chest tighten, unsuccessfully trying to fight the loud cry that was threatening to leave her mouth due to the mention of your name, her grip on the pillows getting harder each time she sobbed. she hated worrying everyone like this. the older boy sat down beside his sister, gently resting a hand on her back.
soon, neteyam added two plus two. the reason kiri was so down lately was because of you. that's why you hadn't come to visit yet. "did you guys... get into a fight?"
"a bad one." she cried. "a really, really bad one."
"things like this happen all the time kiri, you've been best friends for so long. i'm sure you guys will be attached to the hip again in no time."
"no... you don't get it!" the girl abruptly sat up, puffy eyes from crying hours before. "i love her, neteyam. i don't want to be y/n's friend anymore! i'm sick of this. she treats me like i'm special, says that she feels something for me and then pretends that i don't exist... this is not fair at all." kiri couldn't believe the words that just escaped her lips. she never confessed her feelings for you to anyone, what was it with her and saying compromising things without thinking these days? "i- forget about it. pretend you didn't hear this."
neteyam looked at his sister, wide eyed. this was a lot to digest — you and your boyfriend always seemed so happy, giggling and holding hands whenever the two of you were together outside. "isn't she dating ao'nung?"
"seriously... you never heard the rumors? that asshole keeps cheating on her every week; and she forgives him. and then whose shoulder she cries on? mine. im the one who's always there for her, not him." she paused for a moment. why was she talking so much? kiri couldn't recognise herself — she was always so rational. "she didn't cheat on him or something. we just talked, before you lecture me." she was lying, of course. but he didn't have to know all the details.
"i wasn't going to." he needed to chose his next words carefully; neteyam felt a little bit of resentment towards you now for treating his sister like that. but he knew you were a good person — just a confused one. "the both of you need to talk about this. go after her. she's probably scared of what is going to happen next."
"no. i won't go after her. i chased y/n my whole life. if she wants me, she'll have to look for me."
he sighed. such a stubborn girl. "can you at least go outside for a bit? play with tuk or something, help mother out with her tasks; just try to do something to distract yourself. drowning yourself in your own misery will do no good for you."
"...fine. but i won't look for her."
...
half asleep on ao'nungs chest, you found yourself replaying last weeks event in your head — kiri has been avoiding everyone, and you were the one responsible for it. "our relationship is ruined and it's my fault. i have to make things right again."
no. you didn't want to be her friend. you wanted to be with her. kiri sully was the one consuming your thoughts everyday, making your heart skip a beat whenever you were around her; kiri sully was the one that made your skin felt like it was burning whenever she touched you. and being away from her was killing you.
but at the same time you felt like you couldn't leave ao'nung. he has been by your side since you were children: he was one of the very friends friends you made. he was your first kiss, your first time. your first boyfriend. you were supposed to be mating soon, ronal's preparations for you to become the next tsa'hik had already started — his parents really loved you like a daughter. how could you disappoint everyone like this?
guilt was eating you alive. how could you be thinking of another person like this while laying on your boyfriend's chest? this was one of the very few moments you were getting along, and you couldn't care less about it anymore.
then you remembered. he always did the same thing you were doing right now. and you always forgave him. if he could do that, why couldn't you do the same? he never thought about your feelings before screaming at you, cheating and saying all kind of awful things. he never thought about what the others would think, the disappointment and shame that he was putting you and his family through with all the rumors going around. so fuck him.
you slowly get up, avoiding to look him in the eyes. "we have to go. don't you have some training to do?"
"no, not right now. father will call me when he's ready. why are you acting like this?"
"what do you mean? i'm acting normal."
"you're not even looking at me, y/n. don't tell me you're still upset about last week."
"i don't know. maybe i am."
"oh my god, you're so dramatic. i already said i'm sorry, baby, come on. don't be so hard on me." he was now hugging you from behind, caressing your body.
a few months ago, if he had done this, you would've melted like butter. but right now all that you wanted to do was get away from your boyfriend's grip and find the one you wanted the most; no. that you needed the most.
"ao'nung... not right now, okay? i have to leave. but i promise i'll see you later. go after for your father, he's probably looking for you." you tried your best to not sound anxious or bothered, giving him a quick peck on the lips before opening the marui and making your way to the sully's house.
bingo. she was about the leave, her older brother behind her. it was the perfect opportunity — you were going to be alone and sort this once and for all. approaching the omaticaya, you softly call her name.
"kiri?" now that she was right there after all this time, you wanted to run away. turn your back and pretend that this never happened. but you couldn't.
the girl looked at you with an angry expression; kiri felt a wave of rage consume her. seriously? only after a week you were trying to talk to her? she wanted to give you a slap across the face. "what?"
"i believe we need to have a talk" you signed to the empty house, an awkward smile on your face. "neteyam, could you give us some privacy please? i'll be quick with her." he frowned. neteyam had the feeling that leaving you two alone in this situation wasn't a good idea. but he gave you a nod and left anyways.
closing the marui, you looked at your friend. you knew this reprimanding look she was giving you too well; but this time it was different. she was actually mad at you, and it broke your heart knowing that you had hurt her. "so?"
"so." you looked down, fidgeting with your fingers. "i guess i owe you an apology."
"no shit. what else?" she sat down, trying to keep the composure. but you knew her too well. you could tell she was hurting — kiri had lost a little bit of weight, dark circles around her eyes. even her voice was different, like she was trying hard to not cry in front of you.
"i meant what i said. i love you, kiri. i'm sorry i didn't look for you sooner. i'm too scared of this shit. everyone is expecting something of me and i just- i'm a mess right now. i'm sorry. i'm so sorry. i don't want to lose you." now you were crying, the feelings you've been holding for so long coming out. you wished that things weren't so hard. that you could just be with her already. kneeling down to look at her, you held the girl's face with you hands. "i don't want to hurt you. i don't want to hurt us. please, help me clean this mess up."
kiri couldn't hold the tears back anymore, touching your foreheads together, her hand holding yours. "i love you y/n. but you're not mine."
"no. you're wrong. i belong to you, ma'kiri. you're the one that has my heart."
she kissed you. a stupid decision, but kiri couldn't keep herself away from you. she needed to feel the sensation of your soft lips on hers again, to feel your taste. it was needier than the last time, hungrier; your tongues fighting for dominance, the salty taste of the tears you both were letting out getting in the middle. her hands made their way to your hips while your arms were wrapped around her neck.
soon you were on top of the omaticaya, sitting on her lap. separating the kiss to breathe, kiri couldn't help the guilt that was overflowing her body. "i need to stop this." she thought. and yet, she pulled you closer into another passionate kiss. her hands were pressed on your back — she just had to feel you close to her, your heartbeats in sync with each other. she wanted to mark you as hers now. resisting the urge to pull her braid out, the girl broke the kiss again. her heart kept saying to continue this. but her brain kept screaming at her to stop; she couldn't let you do this to her.
leaving open mouthed kisses to her neck, your mind was foggy — you needed to make up for the lost time. how could you not realize how much you loved this woman before? "i love you so much. i love you so much it hurts. please don't ever leave me again, this week without you was terrible, kiri. i never want to be away from you again." it sounded like a desperate cry, and it made kiri's heart flutter; she have seen you being vulnerable before, but now this was so different. and even though she loved this — and you — she needed to put an end to it. it wasn't right.
"fuck- y/n. stop. let's stop it. this is wrong."
you lifted your head up to look at her, feeling disappointed. gosh, she looked so beatiful; teary eyes and swollen lips, her chest rising up and down. "are you sure?"
"i won't let you make me a side chick." she needed you. but she couldn't lower down her level so much.
"love, no. you're not a side chick. you're kiri, my kiri. you're my-"
"your what? your girlfriend? stop this." she wanted to cry again. this wasn't going get you anywhere. "y/n. if you really love me like you say, if you don't feel anything for him. leave him. so we can be together." getting off her, you sit down beside your friend. was it even right to call her your friend now?
"it's not that simple, kiri..."
"it is. it is that simple. if you really loved me, you wouldn't be hesitant in breaking up with that jerk!" she was crying again; it broke your heart seeing her like this. you felt so lost, scared of what others might think — the future olo'eyktans girlfriend suddenly breaks up with him and gets with a girl the next day. but deep down you knew you couldn't sacrifice your happiness because of all the gossip.
"i'll do it. i'll end things with him. i just need some time."
"time for what? i don't get you."
"ma'kiri, just trust me. we will be together. i see you."
you kissed her again, and to your surprise she didn't pull away. kiri knew how wrong it was, and it hurt, it really did — having to share you with someone else. but she couldn't say no to her heart anymore.
because for you, kiri sully would ruin herself a million times.

Can she make it to more than 1 post??
I follow someone on tiktok/IG who speaks a lot about autism, how capitalism forces overwork and there really is no such thing as lazy- somewhat unrelated they had a TT about how to work the algorithms in your favor by flooding it with signals. so anything that’s even mildly interesting- like it, share it, comment, etc. they didn’t go into it much but it makes sense from my understanding of SM platforms from my perch in an adjacent field- fewer signals raise the importance or focus on those signals as they collate you into useful groupings to advertise to. but lots and lots and lots of signals, especially of unrelated topics or activities or whatever, yes, put you into the mix for more potential types of advertising but they also make the advertising you receive less intensely focused on purchasing stupid shit that you put into your cart once.
All this to say I have started applying that to email newsletters (I have always pulled for email as a channel and, boy, is it funny to watch it become super relevant again at least in terms of content/thought distribution.) Also email is actually regulated through CAN-SPAM so you can actually select who you no longer want to be targeted by and there’s just less unchosen noise. Aaaanyways, all of that to say one of the newsletters I signed up for recently is called #1000wordsofsummer in which the organizing author/writer sends daily emails for 30 days to write a thousand words each day. In each day’s email, she includes inspiration/thoughts as well as letters and advice from contributors. I am MASSIVELY behind- but it did get me to start these meandering posts so there’s that. yesterday’s email had a letter from the author, kiese layman, who I follow and is very accomplished (they don’t just hand out those MacArthur genius grants I don’t think, not that we are wed to traditional or visible forms of accomplishment) and the visceral expression around how he feels about people now after all we’ve been through in the last few years (but also forever):
I’m so scared of people, Jami. I’m so disappointed in us. And I’m asking you if you feel this feeling much. I avoid people now at all costs. I’m just terrified of who we are, who I am, and I wonder how to do the work we have chosen while being terrified of people and petrified of their touch. This letter has far more to do with money and intimacy and feeling good than I’m comfortable writing, but if you want to write back, can you tell me if you still love people.
Im not scared of my people but I am scared for them. and yes, everyone else, I have lost what little faith I had in things like goodness and fairness. Truly, this jaundiced feeling is not new, it has the texture of familiar cloth, but the all encompassing nature of it’s harsh truth- that is newly crystallized. Money, intimacy and feeling good. It was hard to write when my daily realities were perhaps harder but I shared them more completely with others, it is even harder to compound those feelings of failure when the whole wide world seems to be falling off a cliff. I used to be able to point to something- trump, COVID, whatever but now it just feels like the grey texture of reality. maybe the challenge then is to write that- the truth of what I'm living through now. A line from one of my favorite movies, end of the affair, rings so true- Pain is easy to write. In pain we're all drabbly individual. Now what can one write about happiness?

Well hold on now bc what scene between isn't SOUL CRUSHING
So ig the one I just talked about where Faye cuts Jake's hair was like (kinda)the start of me seeing how much it hurts Jake to watch Bradley and Faye be so in love. But then BITCH BOY HAD TO LEVEL IT UP EVEN MORE WHEN HE TALKED TO HER RIGHT BEFORE THE CEREMONY!
But now that I think about it the most hurtful could be the phone call that makes Faye stop talking to him bc it was honestly such and asshole move to say all of that to her. It made me even angrier bc I still couldn't fully hate him after that and idk why. Like I hate the way he acted with Faye and everything he said and yet I felt bad for him later. That's probably the most HURTFUL one since the phone call after his accident is more of them making up.
Honestly I'm not even sure anymore bc all of these scenes made me sob like a motherfucker
YES YE SYES YES YESSSS!!
I was really out for fucking blood when I wrote these scenes....
I really love how gentle the haircut scene starts and how good their night has been, even tho you can tell Jake is in kind of a weird mood. and if I may....this is one of my favorite parts of it:
“Can’t keep pretending like I’m not in love with you,” he says decidedly.
My knees almost buckle, but I lock my hip, transferring my weight to my right side. My mouth is dry, full of sand.
I want so badly to wake the fuck up now.
“Why not?”
My cheeks are red. He laughs another humorless laugh.
“‘Cause it ain’t fair to me, you, or him.”
He’s right. I know that he’s right.
He blinks up at me, stubble suddenly wildly apparent as he lets his free hand fall down his face again, pulling his skin towards the earth.
like youch.....party foul!!
and I can't wait for everyone to read the part in SS that ties this all together because I am SO excited about it!! it really contextualizes a lot of what Jake has said/done to Faye!!
and I totally agree w you--his phone call when she told everyone she was pregnant was FOUL!!

ALICIA CLARK — back then.
fluff/angst !!
summary: reader and alicia reminisce on the past.
no pronouns for reader mentioned.
era: pre-ginny era ig? various.
author note: i havent watched the early seasons of fear in ages, so pls excuse any mistakes.
requested by @kloy344
warnings !! alicia clark. thats it.
Tumblr media
she was your wife.
you couldn’t believe it. your wife.
looking at her now, her skin glowing, bathing in the early morning sunlight. her soft snores, her messy brown hair, her full lips, just her.
the woman you were completely enamoured by.
back then, you hadn’t thought she was much at all, never wouldve thought you’d be here now.
back then, she was an enemy, and now you were in the enemy’s bed. except now, the enemy was your wife; ‘previous enemy’
you met in mexico, when strand had come to reunite with his love, your uncle.
she had ignored you as much as possible, and you were suspicious of her. nick was sweet, but you were intrigued by his sister.
you thought, ‘maybe she’s just shy.’ but oh, how wrong you were. alicia absolutely hated your guts, and in return, you hated hers.
you never understood why, and little did you know it’d take another two years to find out.
when the villa burnt down, strand brought you along with him. you were grateful of course, but not for the close proximity with alicia. madison constantly tried to get you two to get along, but to no avail.
her daughter was just too stubborn.
and to be fair, so were you.
from clearing the hotel out together, to saving her from falling down an elevator shoot, she didn’t say one nice thing to you.
just things like ;
“i had it!”
“i didn’t need your help.”
the first time she didn’t physically recoil from your presence, was after she heard her step brother, chris manawa, died. she may not have acted like she cared much, but you knew, she did so much more than she let on.
you found her standing on a balcony in the hotel, overlooking the ocean. you stood next to her, just letting her be aware that she wasn’t alone.
she even looked at you when you placed your hand over hers.
that was the night before everything went wrong.
the relief you felt as you saw alicia hobbling along the dusty path, with luciana on her shoulder, was unmatched. you had been scared to death that she might not’ve made it in the helicopter, but she did, somehow.
the missing presence of travis was noticed shortly after.
troy otto was certainly something else. he was attached to your hip, fascinated by you.
you weren’t interested in him, but alicia didn’t know that.
you wish she did.
the holes being burnt into troy’s back out of alicia’s jealousy was quickly noticed by the younger otto brother, and soon a game started.
alicia would try to make you jealous with jake, as much as she thought you were doing the same with troy.
the two boys were happy to be used.
it never resolved anything between you and alicia.
just lots more hidden feelings, buried deep down.
finding the stadium though, finally led to an improvement in your relationship. alicia started shamelessly glancing at you, not caring if you caught her.
it all built up.
nick knew what was going on, nick told luciana. madison guessed too, and told strand. the next thing you knew, you were on watch together.
to alicia, the silence was unbearable, all she wanted to do was make up for lost time, she wanted to know everything about you, every little detail.
“i’m sorry”
“what for?”
“everything, i never hated you, you didn’t deserve that”
“well, i only hated you because i thought you hated me.”
that made the two of you laugh, the night swallowing it up.
from that night onwards, the nightwatch happened even more. especially after alicia begged her mother for more shifts with you.
with that, your relationship improved. and with that, your crush grew.
the night before the vultures came, was the night she kissed you.
the sun was setting, and she was getting impatient. alicia wanted all of you, she wanted you to know how much she wanted you.
kisses grew to more touching, and eventually you ended up in bed with her.
the following week, everything came crashing down. madison was gone, and alicia and nick, in their grief had been mostly inconsolable.
until you met morgan and his group, alicia didnt speak a word to you, and not much else to the others.
then nick was killed, by charlie. someone you had trusted, someone who nick had trusted.
you held alicia as she sobbed over her brothers body.
when you reunited with her after the storm, you were surprised to see charlie too. it was clear alicia would protect her, and it made you happy that she was feeling better.
you stayed with her, through her grief and her journey back to find herself, loving her more and more each day.
she loved you too, so much.

Hi, I don’t like you.
Kageyama x f!reader
TITLE IS VERY OFF PUTTING THIS IS NICE FLUFF
Requested by my lovely Mal (. @themallorysanders ) 😙🫶🏻 (reader is gonna be based off of her bc it’s written for her </3
PSA: I’ve never read/written for Kags… so I’m so sorry on how this is gonna turn out 😭 yolo ig…
Contains: fluff. Pure lovely fluff! Reader plays a lot of sports. Awkward confessions bc I love them sm they’re my favorite if you can’t tell. Kageyama has two things in his head: you and vb
Giving confessions was definitely not Kageyama’s strong suit. He received them often, but knew not of how to give them. He had asked Sugawara for some advice (he was not going to Hinata or Tsukishima because he would just know he would be ridiculed for it).
But our dear Sugawara-senpai had told Kageyama the wrong thing.
“Treat it like volleyball! Have a game plan for it!”
Kageyama took that to heart.
For almost a week and a half on end, he did not stop coming up with a plan. He researched for hours on end (Daichi mentioned on how if he had put enough effort into his studies as he did with this, he’d ace everything) and learned more than he thought he could. So by the time he had decided to tell you his feelings.
He chickened out.
Suga was wrong. It was definitely not like volleyball. Girls were something Kags couldn’t comprehend. Especially you. You made him so nervous. You were smart and athletic and the same height as him. So of course he fell for you. How could he not!? Not with the way you had always tried to be kind to him.
So, for the second time this week. He mustered up the courage to ask you to go on a date with him.
This time. He didn’t chicken out, but you didn’t show to your usual lunch area with your friends.
“Huh? Kageyama? What are you doing over here. Y/N isn’t here,” one of your friends -Kageyama thinks her name is Misuki or something- stated.
“Where is she then?” Blunt. As always.
“Bro, chill. She went to go meet up with the volleyball team. Something about an impromptu meeting. Why do you need her?” She gave the boy a knowing smirk.
“Uh.. it’s a question about class.” He mumbled.
“Mhm. Because you totally are in the same class with her and you totally don’t want to give her a love confession?”
Kageyama blanched. He wondered how the ever living hell she knew that.
“By you expression I’m correct.” Misuki only laughed. “I’ll send her a message to see ya later this afternoon. I’m tired of both of you chasing each other.”
She shooed the setter away and pulled out her phone and immediately started typing.
Soon after school ended, Kageyama made his way towards the front gate where he was told to meet you. He keep fidgeting and was sweating so much someone from across the street could probably see.
Once he heard your voice call out his name he froze. As much as he told himself he wouldn’t chicken out -again- he really wanted to. It wasn’t fair on how pretty you looked today. It was not fair enough that he had to fall for you, he doesn’t regret it but. The doubt in his head was building up and his stomach was on multiple roller coasters at once.
“Hi Kag,” you slowed you fast walk to stand face to face to him. “What’s up? Do you need help on something?”
His words weren’t coming out right and he wanted to say so many things at once. Firstly, a ‘hi, no I don’t need help on anything’ and ‘I like you.’ But luck was not on his side as he said:
“Hi. I don’t like you.” His eyes went wide and his hand went over his face. You stood there in shock with your mouth open.
He started sputtering out words and they came out as word vomit. It was like he could not shut up with apologizing and saying that he did like you. His eyes were everywhere but your face and his stuttering died down to a small mumbling when you hands forcefully grabbed his checks.
“Slow down for me. Try to tell me all over again.” You were to nice for him. Letting him try over again with this confession.
“I. Like….. you.” His stunning blue eyes searched your face for a moment with his pale cheeks started to warm up under your hands and gaze. Soon you began to smile and he swears he has never been happier but so worried to see it. At first he thought you were going to laugh- though you weren’t. You were to sweet.
“Well good for you Tobio, I’m proud of you for finally telling me.” You beamed at him and he malfunctioned completely.
“You knew..?”
“Of course I did. I’m surprised you didn’t realize that I was head over heels for you.”
“Oh..”
“Well. This isn’t how I saw that this would play out. But I’m happy it did, want to go grab something to eat?” You took his hand into yours and dragged him away with a smile.
Kageyama has never smiled harder til this day.
I lied, he smiled harder during both of yours wedding.

Also, because I genuinely want to hear more about it, what's the Revived Mari AU? You've talked about it before and it seems very interesting, but I don't think you've given a proper summary before. I mean, I talked to you about my AUs for days in your ask box, that makes it fair game for you to talk about AUs to me. -🎀
OKAYYYY.. revived mari revived mari. i dont know entireellyyy?? how to summarize it <- theres a lot going on and also i tend to be a bit indecisive so i kinda change things around sometimes. i can answer any other questions you have thoo!!
anyways uhh. basic plot rundown. forgive me for poor wording i kinda struggle to explain this stuff </3. After Mari's death and her being a ghost for a short while, she ends up inside Sunny's headspace, taking the form of headspace Mari.. For awhile being there is actually,, very nice for her. Of course it would be to her, especially at this point.. Its a world where shes alive. Where she still has her friends. Where she feels... a lot less angry and upset. She isnt sure how to feel about.. her brother here. Omori.. silent and near emotionless. It doesn't feel right but when shes here she cant exactly figure out why. But she can easily disregard it for now. This place is nice and shes happy here.!
But,, then headspace resets. She doesnt exactly,, remember it. or what happened before it but. she can kind of tell something is wrong. things feel like theyre repeating. it feels off and. she wants to leave. and she does,,, but. not for long. shes quickly drawn back to headspace.. (<- made up ghost lore stuff. ghosts easily get attached to certain things, such as buildings, people, etc. they can go away from these technically but will always end up being drawn back). Mari cannot leave Headspace pretty much,, even less so the longer she stays there. Things quickly go down hill from there. which is explained in this post but tldr: with each Headspace reset Mari loses a piece of herself and her memories in the process.
Things continue like this for the next 4 years up until Sunny begins going outside again. I think him doing that and him repressing some of his memories a bit less also helps Mari regain some of her memories too. which allows the scene at the dreamworld ocean and the scene at her piano to happen.. though when she really gets all her memories back is first when the black light bulb gets broken and Sunny goes through the truth sequence + when Sunny goes through Memory Lane... She performs the Final Duet with him and watches him leave Whitespace behind before her vision and consciousness fade away. She is happy and shes ready to pass on.
Thats until... she wakes up some time later (a couplee months id say? maybe during christmas break.), in the middle of the night and shes seemingly broken out of her own coffin. Its the most alive she's felt in years, its feels nothing like Headspace. But she feels as if this has to be a dream, another version of Headspace perhaps? One thats more like the real world Faraway town now. But either way she.. kind of has no idea what to do with herself, she no longer has a script to follow like she did in Headspace. Which I imagine is,, quite the sudden change after 4 years. She ends up just kind of wandering for a bit after leaving out the church, eventually finding herself at the old hangout spot (and.. accidentally scaring off Angel and The Maverick, who had decided to sneak out there. idk to be rebellious or what ever <- kind of a joke idea i came up with ig) She sits down at the abandoned picnic blanket and falls asleep there. <- thats kiinda where she hangs out for a little bit. Up until a small black cat runs in and quickly goes over to her, its purple collar having the name Mewo on it, soon followed by 2 younger boys, Sunny and Basil. She immediately stops at the sight of them, and they do the same. The 3 of them are all kind of stunned, but Basil and Sunny almost immediately run off as soon as Mari opens her mouth to say something.
^ ^ thiiiis is kind of where the stuff i have becomes very non-linear. i still have ideas and stuff but theyre more broken apart and inconsistent. but this is most of like the main plot/lore stuff thats important
I HOPE THIS ALL MAKES SENSEE!! heres a little mari for u if u read this all <33

❛ new person, same old mistakes — eren yeager.
──new person, old same mistakes. eren yeager x gn!reader.
a/n: this is 100% self indulgent lmfao, also ik f-boy eren 🥶😎 is a common trope but today im rly feeling it. idk if this fic is any good lmao BUT ENJOY IT IG?? warnings: angst, toxic relationship, cheating, breaking up, drinking. also unedited and written in like an hour so probs not the best quality 😟
before y/n had gotten in a serious relationship, she didn't understand what the phrase 'honeymoon phase' meant. they never fully understood it until they had gotten into a relationship.
eren was in her sociology class - he caught her attention with his good looks and charm. after they had met eren, they were quickly realized who eren was.
he was known for being the playboy; it was a cliche, yes, but that doesn't make any less real. y/n had decided that maybe they shouldn't associate with him.
well, that plan out the window once they started texting back and forth. at first, it was about their sociology homework. then, about their interests. then, they were texting back and forth all day, every day.
it was perfect, everything that y/n had wanted. they started dating quicker than they both anticipated. y/n always knew, in the back of their head, it wouldn't work. and maybe that's why it didn't; self sabotage, or maybe the subconscious mind; or maybe it was just destined not to work from the moment they started dating.
first, it was perfect - the honeymoon phase. lots of pda, tagging each other in instagram posts, falling asleep on the phone and study dates everyday.
after the first three months, things started to change. their first fight was in public; the worst of fights. it was about an ex, it always is. eren insisted it was just a text, it meant nothing. y/n tried to believe him; but it was hard when everything just didn't add up.
after, he apologized and blocked the ex after y/n had persisted he had to, if he wanted this relationship to work. they both knew that this fight was this was the end of the 'honeymoon phase.' this was the mark of their first of many fights.
eren wanted to be different; for them. he had never felt this way about anyone ever; he liked the feeling of being with someone who cares about him for him. y/n loved all his parts, good and bad. but, old habits always seem to come back to him and he doesn't understand why.
after a few months, their fights became more and more common. they both tried to fix it, they really did. it was fight after fight, and y/n was getting tired of it.
the first "serious" fight was about a girl at a party. him and the girl were both drunk and got a little too close; right as they were about to kiss, y/n came and dragged eren out. another public fight.
there was no excuse, really. why would he kiss a girl, with no shame, in the same house as his partner? it didn't make any sense. eren got heated, and so did y/n. y/n was driving eren home because he was blackout drunk, so they really couldn't' just leave, and trust me, they wanted to.
when they got to his dorm, eren had sobered up at that point and y/n realized the severity of the situation. as they were about to break up with eren, he apologized again and again; begging them not leave.
and they didn't; that was the first of many mistakes they would both make in this relationship.
eren had gotten too comfortable, he will admit. he did take advantage of how utterly in love y/n was in love with him. to be fair, he would do the same for them. at least that's what he tries to convince himself.
it was a cycle; fight, leave, come back, make up. a cycle both of them couldn't stop. they both wronged each other; they both lied; they both cheated; but they also both stayed. that was the biggest mistake.
their longest break was two months. eren usually comes back, apologizes and y/n believes it; they don't really believe eren can change, but they had to stay.
after two years, y/n decided that maybe it wasn't love; it was the idea of love that infatuated them, that made them stay. and they wanted real love, not this fake superficial y/n and eren had.
so they left eren, and this time, they weren't coming back.

HP Boys: Surprise Pregnancy Head Cannons
Summary: The HP boys and their reaction to their s/o (afab) being pregnant when its not planned.
A/N: This takes place post Hogwarts so all characters are 18+, though no real smut happens in this so its not an 18+ fic.
WARNINGS: UNPLANNED PREGNANCY, MENTIONS OF PRO CHOICE OPINIONS, MENTIONS OF SEX IN LITE TERMS, SWEARING, FLUFF, MENTIONS OF ALCOHOL, ALSO THIS IS SUPER LONG SORRY LOL
Draco
So everything is going great for the happy couple, you two just moved into a flat together and are working normal jobs, drinking wine like adults.
And sure, Draco knows he wants to marry you, but he knows you’re not ready to settle down like that so he just plans and dreams.
Due to poor choices, when you’re late by two weeks, you know what it probably is.
Draco doesn’t even notice that you ran out to the store and came back and hid in the bathroom for 10 minutes. CEO of minding his own business ig
You just kinda...walk up to him and hand him all 3 tests while your eyes fill with tears because what if he demands you get an abortion?
Or what if he fucks off to god knows where?
But instead he just looks at you with the most un-draco like smile. Like his face was soft and it looked like he could cry any moment.
“Oh my god,” He says, putting his hand on your belly, “I can be ready for this, but if you aren’t then we can you know...”
“No, I want it” then both of you rejoice bc yay baby!
Cut to 6 months later when your feet hurt so bad you have to lay down and watch while Draco fails to put a crib together.
He eventually gets it done tho.
And when the time comes, he’s built and arranged everything for your bundle of joy.
Harry
So you guys are probably already married, but with everything at the ministry going on, it makes Harry less than a family man.
You both agree that it’s probably better to wait so you can be home and yk...raise it.
Well smart man Harry forgets that to not have a kid you need to use protection.
So of course when your period is late you don’t think about it, until its four weeks late.
That night, you and Harry are laying in bed, and thats when you tell him.
“Harry..I’m late.”
“Late for what?” headass.
You: 😳😐
Him: 👁👁😲😲
He’s hesitant to say anything, because he knows its ultimitley up to you what happens with it until its out.
“I think I want to keep it...you know it wont remember much for the first year and a half so if things are stressful it will be okay and-“
“Love...Its going to be perfect”
Mf built the crib in like 45 minutes I swear.
And of course he forced you to keep up with your vitamins, pre natal care, and appointments.
Swear tho you’re about to kill him because cofFeE
But the way he holds your baby 🥺 its his most valued thing ever now.
Ron
Ron is iffy on the kid thing sometimes.
He does want them, but only later when you guys have lived and travled.
So no, you two haven’t planned nor is it even in the picture when your wedding roles around.
It’s in the early days of the marriage when you see his family at the burrow on the way back from the honeymoon.
And of course Molly knows
Because Weasleys are hyperfertile I swear.
She takes you into the kitchen and puts her hands on your arms, shes got that big Mrs.Weasley smile on too.
“I knew it!” She says and pulls you in for a hug, “How far dear??”
You’re just standing there like🧍🏻
“I can see it by the way you glow! Oh my you and my Ron must be so happy!” This woman doesn’t notice that you’re confused.
“Wait what? Mrs. Weasley what are you-?” Then you count the days, “Oh. Well I guess I just found out for myself”
Her face falls slightly, but then she tells you can make you a potion that will tell you if you are or not, stan.
The stupid potion turns green when you spit into it, so everything is confirmed.
That night, you and Ron are getting ready for bed in the guest room and you decide to tell him.
“Ron, sweetie. We need to talk.” He looks like he’s gonna start crying but sits next to you on the bed.
“Y/N...I know its scary but please, we just got married I don’t want to divorce quite just yet 🥺🥺”
“Ron I-“ you start smiling, “I’m pregnant you dufus.”
He just freezes, for a while. Not saying anything, he just looks at the wall with his mouth ajar.
So you get up and go to Ginny.
“Gin, I broke him.”
“Ew, I don’t want to know about how you and him”
“No, I told him that I’m pregnant.”
“Oh, yeah that would do it. Just I don’t know... Give him a minute?”
You give him several, getting a glass of water then heading back up to the room.
Ginny was right, he needed a minute.
“I don’t...I wasn’t...you were.?”
“You don’t have to stay, but I think we can do it. Plus, you would disapoint your mom if you left so...”
“Okay...we’ll do it. I’ll be the best damn Father you have ever seen.” He says, talking to your womb.
Well...he’s a father I’ll give him that.
Pro of having a Weasley baby: free crib thats already put together.
Even if it looks like a death trap.
“We’ll put some blankets over it don’t worry”
You know how some Dads hold their parters hand during the delivery? Yeah he got sick and was moral support from the outside.
To be fair, you weren’t screaming in pleasure by any means.
Scary. But beautiful.
He shows the kid to everyone, he might be more in love with the baby than he is with you.
Ron see’s the appeal of having kids now.
Neville
Moving in with your boyfriend is always fun, right up until you guys go at it so much you forget protection more than once.
You think about it, then move on with your day.
Until the doctor calls, then “oh fuck”
Romance Neville bf
“Why aren’t you having any wine? I thought it was your favorite?”
“I don’t think fetal alcohol syndrome is my favorite.” BRO HE SPAT
But he looks up with tears in his eyes, and runs over to you to grasp you in a hug.
“Oh my god! You’re pregnant! Oh my - We’re gonna be parents!! Oh my god we’re gonna be parents oh-“ Que you petting his hair till he’s calm again.
Lets be honest, this man probably swapped the herbology books for the parenting guides.
“Well I mean I’m just wondering if we should go with this color or this one”
“Nev, it doesn’t matter. Our baby will not care.”
“I read in my book that Infants actually can recognize mood in-“
He won’t let you do anything during your pregnancy.
Gotta love a man who cries because he loves you so much and you’re having his kid.
“I never had a father, what if I do it wrong? What if the baby hates me and runs away at seven?”
“We’ve got quite a lot of time before then.”
He was there during delivery, letting you crush his hand like a champ.
You can’t help but cry when you see him sleeping on the floor next to the crib, its so sweet.
Fred
You two most likely already had two kids, so you decided to wait a bit so your hands weren’t quite full.
Well...your body decided not to wait.
A test provides the two lines, another wild child.
The two toddlers already run around like thing one and thing two, only with red hair.
I think Fred would gladly make the family dinner, and wear an apron. He’d own it, as he should.
But mf gotta not drop the salad bowl when you tell him of the fetus inside you.
“Fred we are going to have a bee-ay-bee-why.”
Your five year old has just begun to spell 😐
He’s happy tho.
Like over the fuckin moon.
He buys the two kids big brother/sister shirts too 🥺🥺
He knows the drill pretty well, so he isn’t too worried about the future.
But its funny that he still freaks out about the crib and feeding chair since he gave it away, you know because you guys werent having another kid.
He packed a hospital bag and kept it in the trunk, counting down the days.
Hours of delivery (He just sat back and held your hand) only to end up with a room full of 7 Weasley family members.
Fred always said that 3 was his lucky number :)
George
You guys were taking it slow, no marriage until you both felt it was time. And certainly no children before that.
Well you know...things changed when the test was positive.
You slid it over on the table, tears pooling in your eyes. He was stunned and quiet, which made you burst out sobbing because you knew that neither of you planned on having a baby.
But to your surprise he starts to smile.
“I want whatever you want, I’m staying by your side no matter what.”
“I mean...would it really be so bad? A house, a kid, a dog?” He holds your hand as you think aloud.
You both give it a week to think it over and the virdict is to keep it.
Thats when he decides he has to marry you, asap because he loves you and will never let you go especially now.
He loves to gush about the carrier of his child, to him you are a godess.
He’s the Dad with a predestination complex.
“Y/N, I just see him being a star quiditch player”
“George, we don’t know if it’s a him.”
He rolls his eyes “Okay then I can see her being a star-“
He made Hermione take you out for a movie date so he could rearrange your bedroom, since you only had a single bedroom flat.
You come back to a new set up including a cot.
Damn pregnancy hormones make brain go 🥺😭😭
He freaks when your water breaks lol
ceo of driving like a maniac to the hospital.
He can’t hold your hand, he’s pacing back and forth, sweating and maybe crying though he’ll never admit to it.
You get the joy of watching him cuddle the baby while refusing to give your child to you.
“George I’d like to hold-“
“No, you need your sleep honey, don’t worry”
Hogging the child.
Cedric
Its no secret that Cedric wants a baby someday.
And he makes it clear your wedding will be spectacular too.
However, finding out you’re pregnant the week of your dream wedding was a shock.
A shock that made you bang your head into the wall because how could you be so stupid?? We had a plan??
So you decide to wait until after the wedding, that way it wont add onto the stress (happy stress) of the wedding.
Cedric keeps trying to fill your glass at the reception, to which you kindly refuse saying you want to remember the night entirely.
Yeah he’s like 🤨 mhm okay.
You can only pick at the dinner because ew salmon doesn’t sound like an option if you want to keep the contents of your stomach.
As everyone waves goodbye to the car, and you both set off into married life, he leans over.
“I may be out of my mind, but are you...?”
“Pregnant.” His face lights up, pulling you into a hug.
Finally, your car pulls up to a small cottage with lush garden scapes all around, putting a hand out, he walks you both from the car to the door.
“Ced, where are we?”
“Home.”
Somehow it was perfect with Cedric, even when it was rushed.
He loved talking to your womb, even if it was weird that he was talking about the babies future brothers and sisters.
“Cedric, slow down. We haven’t even had this one yet”
Basically he is father of the year before he’s a full father.
He’s there while you deliver, holding your hand and telling you how great you’re doing.
He doesn’t even complain when you insult him <3.
He updates you on everything.
If his eyes aren’t on that child, he’s either asleep or dead.
I think Cedric was meant to be a family man, because he loves everything about being one.

unfaithful
/ʌnˈfeɪθfʊl,ʌnˈfeɪθf(ə)l/
adjective
1. engaging in intimate relations with a person other than one’s regular partner in contravention of a previous promise or understanding
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Akaashi couldn’t say exactly why his infidelity started. Honestly there was nothing inherently wrong with your relationship. You were amazing, loyal, kind and everything he could ever want in a partner. He supposed at one point he was like that to you. Not anymore though. He could never be like that ever again. Not when he found comfort in the arms of another. Another that wasn’t you.
Akaashi knew it was wrong. Wholeheartedly he wanted to free you of the unforgivable. Did he take advantage of your sweet behaviour? Deep down inside, he knew he was. The cheap thrill of loving somebody else while you waited patiently for him back at home. Back at the home the both of you had made together. The home that he had inadvertently tainted with the presence of another.
This is the last time.
How many times would he tell himself that? That the momentary pleasure he got from her was just that. That he’d stop before it went too far.
Over a year later was already beyond what was classified as ‘too far’.
He couldn’t kid himself into thinking it was just a brief lapse in judgement anymore. Not when he didn’t stop. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair to you in the slightest. How could he do that? To the one he promised to love. The one to always be there for you, care for you. To do everything a good boyfriend should do.
To never, ever be the reason for your tears.
He knew he didn’t have the right to feel this way. It was selfish. Completely and utterly selfish. But when he’d come home and find you there waiting for him, while he was whispering sweet nothings, words that should’ve only been reserved for you, to somebody else just minutes prior, he couldn’t help but feel his heart ache. Akaashi, ever so observant, noticed that you stopped faking your smile. He remembers the first time he saw it.
5 months after his unfaithfulness began, something he swore that’d happen just once, he saw the look on your face. The warm smile you had greeted him with just earlier that morning before he left, was now gone. This smile wasn’t as bright, and the shine didn’t reach your eyes. He didn’t like this smile. It was beautiful of course, because it was from you, but he didn’t like how fake it was. You had given him some half-assed excuse.
“I’m just a little tired Keiji”
He knew you too well. Knew you were lying to him, but he couldn’t bring himself to press on further. Day after day, your smile continued to drop. Further and further, until it was some terrible imitation of the one he had fallen in love with years ago. No matter how much you tried to hide it, he would always notice the slight redness in the whites of your eyes. Dark and puffy under-eyes that you tried desperately to conceal. The tone of your voice, no longer lively and cheerful. He supposed after a year, you just didn’t want to pretend to be okay anymore.
This will be the last time.
He’d break it off with you. His silent promises to spare you from anymore pain. The guilt ate away at him, feeling the nausea rise in his stomach. You deserved someone better than him, someone who would treat you the way you should be treated. He used to be that guy. Where did that man go? What happened to him? He supposed he didn’t have the right to be that person anymore.
He was always so tense thinking on what to say to you. On how to finally admit his wrongdoings. Whether you knew of his actions behind your back, finally voicing them out would be the nail in the coffin. The confirmation that he was indeed doing the things that you were suspecting him of. Perhaps thats why you could never ask or actually push forward with it.
Because even if you knew, with great certainty, you could deceive yourself into thinking he was still the boy you had fallen in love with all those years ago.
Akaashi only received a fleeting moment of peace from his thoughts of you when she was around. He absolutely despised it. It was despicable how he could find a sense of safety in her arms. It should’ve been you, only you. It was wrong. Completely and utterly wrong, and yet he couldn’t help but think it felt right. It was wicked and evil, there was no other way to put it. Her hands. Her kisses. Her touch. All the moments with her made him forget about you, if only for a brief period. The gentle feel and traces of her were like invisible tattoos, covering all the places you had marked, kissed and touched.
It was all just too intoxicating for him. From her silky smooth hair to the softness of her skin. However, when he ran his fingers all over her body, he couldn’t help but think of you. God he was pathetic. So, so badly he knew it was wrong. He already had you, had your love, had everything you had to give. So why would he run for comfort to her, only to end up wishing it was you instead? It didn’t make sense, and he couldn’t understand it at all.
“Keiji, why don’t you stay the night?”
“I can’t, I’m sorry”
“It can’t keep going on like this. You guys should break up. Then you wouldn’t have to keep going back there, and then you can finally stay here with me. Isn’t that what you want?”
No, it wasn’t. It was probably the reason why he’d never stay over with her. Because he always wanted to come home to you. If he didn’t want to stay with her, if he didn’t sleep in the same bed with her, if he didn’t want to hold her hand - everything he wanted to do with you - why did he still do it? Why! Why! Why! It constantly plagued his mind. He was just selfish.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
And so, Akaashi sat in his car, with his grip on the steering wheel, thinking of the words to say. He knew he needed to be delicate, but firm. To the point, but not blunt. ‘This will be the last time’, he says to himself. The last time he thinks of the words to say. The last time he sits in his car contemplating about everything. The last time he has to hurt you. He’ll let you go, let you cry, even let you throw any object in reach to let out your frustrations on him. Just as long as he didn’t have to hurt you anymore. With a shaky breath, he unlocks the car door and steadies himself. He makes his way to house you both shared, hand on the handle as he closes his eyes. It’s time to face the music.
He quietly opens and closes the door behind him, setting his belongings on the dark oak table sat next to the door. He hears you in the kitchen, your feet padding around on the tiled floor. He makes his way there and freezes. You’re slaving away in a large t-shirt and shorts just a bit too big for you. They’re his without a doubt. You hear his shoes clicking against the floor and turn around to face him.
“Welcome home Keiji”
He hated that the gleam in your eyes was gone, and that your lips had to form a smile way too forced. He hated what he had done to you.
“I’m making your favourite, it should be ready in about 10 minutes”
With that, Akaashi loses all composure. He steps forward, his long legs carrying himself towards the stove top, situating himself behind you. He reaches around to turn it off, and moves the pot to the next hotplate. You turn around to question him, only to end up surprised at how close he was. You’re flustered, and he can easily tell how nervous you are at the way your eyes dart at anywhere else but him.
The temperatures rising in your body, and you swear that Akaashi can feel it steaming out of you. He closes the distance quickly, and soon enough your tongues are fighting for dominance against each other. He was in such bliss, it was like your lips were moulded to be with his. In moments like this he could forget. When your touch covered the traces of her. When your taste overwhelmed hers. He wanted you imprinted on him again. But he knew, knew that soon enough, he’d wash it away with his mistress. A continuous cycle of you and her. Disgustingly selfish.
This will be the last time.
The last time he takes your hand. The last time he has the pleasure of kissing you. The last time he undresses you. He takes his time, drinking in your form under the moonlight. Not even the darkness could overshadow your light. He knows you do the same, your eyes focused on him now. You push him forward so he falls back on the plush mattress. Why would he ever think about anyone else? He knew this had to be the last. The last time he’d let his eyes fall over you. He needed to save these moments in his head so he’d never forget.
The last luxury he’d have of you.
So he’d soak it all in, ingrain it forever. He needed to remember it vividly so he could look back. Look back at the idiot he was for ever hurting you in this way. He didn’t deserve you in the slightest. He thought that if he could capture every last detail, it could be the least of his karma. To miss what he took for granted.
How many times had he thought that himself?
And at the end of it all, he’ll just lay there. In the bittersweet afterglow of the love you two had shared. He’ll close his eyes and prepare himself to lose it all. Lose you. You think he’s asleep as he’s so still and his breathing so even. You’ll comb your fingers through his hair, just like you always do, and mumble quietly about your devotion to him.
“I love you, so much Keiji”
You pray he doesn’t hear you, but he does. As clear as day, you whisper confessions of love and admiration for him. He knows he doesn’t deserve it. Not in the slightest, not at all.
But the gentle kiss you place on his lips has him reeling, and his resolve cracks. He can’t do it, because he’s just that selfish. He knows that in the end, it won’t be the last time. He’ll go through it all again. The guilt will eat him alive. The feel of bile on the tip of his tongue no longer phasing him - he’s gotten used to the taste. He’ll break your trust, again and again, and then carelessly attempt to put the pieces back together, just to shatter them more. It’s cruel, he knows this. He wishes you’d just insult him. Cuss him out. Do anything, but show him love over and over. He loves you, he truly does, and he knows how horrific it is to do this to somebody you claim to love. He just wants you to hurt him, tell him what a disgusting asshole he is, how he’s a piece of shit, a waste of space. Any and everything you can think of.
But you don’t.
And while you continue to show him affection, he’ll drown in the abyss of despair that he, himself put him in. Because during these moments he could pretend that you actually loved him. That you didn’t know of his cheating ways. That he wasn’t touching you with the same hands that held someone else.
So tomorrow it’ll all start over, and the cycle will continue. He’ll keep on breaking your heart, and you’ll both pretend to be okay with it. No matter how many times he told himself it would be the last.
He hoped that one day he wouldn’t be such a coward. That he would finally cut the strings that tied you both together and just end it. Akaashi knew it was wrong, but he was just that selfish and hypocritical.
Tumblr media

Movie/Game/Show: Danganronpa: Killing Harmony Dynamic: Kokichi Ouma/Reader Warnings: uhm? idk youtube/social media au ig?? i think it’s fun :) so i won’t be bullied about it Summary: Kokichi x airhead gf ~~~
“This fucking reminds me,” Kokichi shook his head with a puff of laughter as he and his friend spread sauce and cheese over dough for the camera, “I love (Y/n), more than I could ever love you- “
“Okay, first of all,” Shuichi glared at the shorter boy, “ow. Second of all, where’s the ‘but’ coming in?”
“But,” Kokichi huffed, “if you just let me finish, you’d know… I love her more than I could ever love you, but I worry about her sometimes.”
“Oh God, what happened?” Shuichi stopped layering his pizza toppings, suddenly anxious about his dear friend’s wellbeing.
“Nothing physical but she’s like, really ditzy, right?” at Shuichi’s nodding, he continued, “So, for all the years of her life until yesterday, she thought that quiche was pronounced quicky and when we went to that bakery across the street after editing yesterday’s video- "
“No!” Shuichi’s eyes widened.
“Yes!” Kokichi bounced in his spot to express the exasperation his hands couldn’t as they were preoccupied, “She said she wanted a quicky! To the guy’s face!”
“I didn’t think (Y/n) was that airheaded…”
“Me neither,” Kokichi chuckled, head falling back and murmuring just so that the mic attached to his shirt barely picked it up, “She’s ditzy and I love her.”
“If you trick her into anything,” Shuichi pulled back from the dough completely to grab baking sheets, slowly growing protective of a girl who wasn’t even there, “I swear, I’ll pummel you. It’ll be my first fight ever and I’ll win so hard.”
“I would never, Kaito and Gonta are totally on the table, but my own girlfriend?” Kokichi rolled his eyes at his friend while pulling open the oven so they could load their makeshift-pizza creations inside, “Only ever to wash dishes when I don’t want to.”
“That’s so annoying.”
“She’s the one dating me, she knows who I am,” suddenly turning towards the camera, Kokichi pointed directly at the lens, “Babe, you’re sooooo fine and if this offends you, I’m really sorry and we can talk it out and I’ll cut this from the vid.”
“I was gonna say that I don’t think a self-proclaimed bimbo would be offended by this, but Kaito almost threw a fit when I suggested he’s not as smart as Maki,” Shuichi moved to sit on the counter, “But to be fair, nobody’s as smart as Maki. Not even me and I’m literally a criminal justice major.”
“Maki doesn’t know shit,” Kokichi waved off, there were a few seconds of silence before the short boy nervously turned back to the camera, “Please don’t choke me out for that, Maki.”
Shuichi shook his head with a small smile before his eyes widened, “Do you remember when (Y/n) and I first met?”
“No, I wasn’t listening to you two.”
“Well, she asked for my ‘backstory’ and when I said scoliosis she was just like ‘no way, I know a Libra’,” the two broke into laughter, Shuichi tossing his hands up in confusion, “Like, what does that have to do with anything?”
“Also, asking for your story like you’re a protagonist,” Kokichi wheezed, “Holy shit, when we were in high school she got a test back and had gotten a fifty-nine out of fifty-nine on it, but with the way the teacher wrote it - she thought it said ‘salsa’ and just never assumed anything else until a week ago. I will never not think of that.”
“I think what we’re really trying to say is that (Y/n) is amazing? Right? Like, we’re both getting at that, yeah?”
“Oh, definitely,” Kokichi snickered, “She’s incredible, I adore her.”

Hiya can you please do aelin telling rowan she’s pregnant with triplets ;)
I did it... it’s a part two to Apples and Jam
~~~~~
Aelin felt like she was going to fall asleep on the examination table if the ultrasound technician didn’t get to work soon. She was 10 weeks along in this pregnancy and this would be the first time they would see their baby, but Aelin was just so tired the stillness was threatening to put her to sleep. She didn’t remember being this tired last pregnancy, and she didn’t remember showing this early either, even with it being twins. But apparently you showed earlier in second pregnancies according to Aelin’s research, something about the body knowing what to do. That’s what Aelin had convinced herself of anyway.
Rowan reached over and took her hand and they shared a sweet smile as the technician finally gelled up the wand of the ultrasound machine.
“Alright, lets see what we have here,” she muttered and got to work.
Rowan gripped her hand tighter as they watched the grey blobs on the screen move around,  waiting to catch that first glimpse. The two of them had got pretty good at it from the amount of scans they had to have with the twins, it had been Rowan who had pointed out that one was a girl and one was a boy.
“Ah, there we go,” the technician said. Aelin didn’t know her name, it wasn’t the same one who had done the check ups on the twins.
But she knew what she was doing, and she zeroed in on that little bean and Aelin felt tears pricking her eyes. She looked at Rowan to see him wiping away a tear before it fell, giving her a watery smile. A buzzing sounded and Rowan took his phone out of his pocket.
“I just have to get this, I’ll be back in a minute,” Rowan said as he gave Aelin a kiss and gave the screen another long loo. Aelin didn’t mind him ducking out, they were old hands at this.
“Oh, wait a second,” the technician’s voice was full of surprise.
Aelin’s head turned back to the screen so fast her hair flicked her in the face as her heart jumped to her throat. Nononono.
“Looks like weave got two in there,” the technician said, a hesitant smile on her face. “No, hold on…”
Aelin blew out a sigh as relief flooded her body. It was just one. Just one, precious baby.
“Yep, that’s three.”
“Pardon?” Aelin asked, choking on the word.
The technician took a moment to reposition the wand. “There we have one, two, and three.” The technician smiled hesitantly taking in the look of utter shock on Aelin’s face. “Maybe I should have waited for your husband to get back before I dropped that bomb.”
“Are you sure?” Aelin blurted.
“As sure as I can be,” the technician said, she was already focused back on getting the snapshots for the doctor. “I guess it’s three siblings for you bub instead of one.”
“Twins, we have twins already,” Aelin said flatly.
“Oh,” was what the technicians said, that was all she said.
Oh indeed…
The door opened and Rowan came back in, an assured smile on his face. The technician wouldn’t look at him, probably knowing the death of this man was imminent.
“What did I miss?” Rowan said, still smiling as he sat back down on his stool.
“It’s triplets,” Aelin said.
Rowan laughed. “Very funny, Fireheart.”
“It’s not a joke.”
Rowan looked at her then, his face falling when he saw how serious her face was. “Oh.”
The technician obliged them as showed them the three foetuses again before putting the wand down. “I’m all done, I’ll give you two a moment,” she practically whispered as she handed Aelin some paper town and walked out.
Heavy beats of silence filled the room. Rowan had gone impossibly pale looking like he was going to vomit.
“I don’t know… I mean,” Rowan stammered and ran his fingers through his hair. “We’re happy right?”
“I should have castrated you while I had the chance,” Aelin said, the shock of it all making her feel things she couldn’t explain. “We are never having sex again, I swear. Not if you keep knocking me up like this.”
“Yeah, that’s fair. That’s fair,” Rowan muttered mostly to himself. Then he reached out and cleaned the gel off Aelin’s stomach and then rested his hand on her bare skin over where their three new babies were making their home. “We can do this, Fireheart.”
Aelin started crying as she nodded, she knew they could and there was no one else she would rather do this with than Rowan. “I love them all so much already,” she sobbed.
Rowan moved his hand and helped Aelin roll her shirt back down and to sit up. “I do too. And I can’t wait to tell the twins.”
They kissed before Rowan helped her down from the table, then they just held each other for a while. Then Aelin looked up, her chin resting on Rowan’s chest as he looked down at her.
“I think,” Aelin said, a crooked smile on her face. “We might need both grandmothers to move in for a while. I feel like they might even help me hide your body.”
“So we’ve gone from castration to murder have we?” Rowan asked.
“We went from one baby to three in a matter of moments, things escalate quickly around here,” Aelin explained.
“Things escalating quickly is what got us into this mess in the first place,” Rowan said, trying not to laugh as he kissed her again.
“You can’t make jokes yet. Only I’m allowed to make jokes right now, because I’m the one carrying three babies,” Aelin said, poking her husband very pointedly in the chest.
“Whatever you say, dear,” Rowan said as he held the door open for her.
Aelin felt that in the coming months that phrase would become one of Rowan’s most favourite things to say.
~~~~~
I felt a little mean doing this to them, but it’s was far too entertaining.
