the "you came." "you called." trope with sarastus is something so important to me.
#❛ ☼ ― ooc. / i do not have a fancy tag for this.#bc in many dynamics it works both ways really#because sarastus is beyond loyal & whatever it is that your muse needs help with? she is there for them.#but also - the surprise in her own voice when someone does the same for her :')#not that she wouldn't think that people would do the same for her: on the contrary like with during the time before the sundering#she knew that she only needed to call hades & he would be there. no matter what#but the way that kind of thing is something she takes to the heart & it lives her in a lil' awe everytime#UGH

Lore Olympus just pulled off the biggest whiff in webtoon history.
I promised I would choose one of two headlines and of course, this is the one we wound up with. But should we really be surprised? Rachel herself seemed to be telling on herself down to the minutes leading up to the finale, fully confirming to us that yes, she's been writing this comic at the last minute, by the seat of her pants, for ages now.
(that second one was literally posted TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES BEFORE THE COMIC UPDATED.)
Welp, let's get into it. Possibly the last essay I'll ever write about this dumpster fire of a comic (but probably not, let's be real LOL)
CONTENT WARNING: DISCUSSION OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND FASTPASS SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES FINALE AHEAD!
Holy crap, where to even start with this. I knew it was going to be bad. I knew it was going to be rushed. I knew it wasn't ever going to live up to what I had hoped it would be years ago when I was still a diehard fan.
But I didn't think it was going to fall quite this hard. Despite bracing myself for the worst, Rachel has once again let my expectations down through a final display of explosive mediocrity and disappointment.
Yes, the episode is called "You're Welcome", and yes, that instant "ick" you're feeling is the exact same as what we're all feeling. This title plays into the dialogue later, but what a shitty, lowkey mean-spirited title for the series finale.
Now, before we get into the actual episode, the WT ads for this are just... so desperate and misleading.
They are trying SO HARD to hype up something that isn't there, and at the last minute to boot, because Rachel definitely hadn't written any of this ahead of time.
First off, the bit about the gods being in "eternal chaos" of course isn't a stake worth worrying over because Gaia literally does away with Ouranos in the first 5 panels.
Did you really think I was joking about that 5 panels thing?
That's it. That's the death of Ouranos. As mysteriously and quickly as he arrived, he was gone, after Gaia ripped out of him what appeared to be some purple sunny side up - but it's actually, in fact, Apollo.
And that's when we start to get some of the worst dialogue I've ever seen throughout LO. Remember when I said LO's dialogue was like Shenmue 3? Welp, the finale decided to continue that tradition and further fuel the suspicion that this entire thing was written by ChatGPT.
Oh, by the way, that "thank you, ma'am" was Artemis' first and last line of the episode. So once again, just like in Episode 248, we're completely robbed of her reaction to Apollo being a rapist piece of shit and the character development she could have had as a supporting character. The women in this "feminist retelling" really couldn't be more half-baked.
Gaia stumbles upon Persephone, and I'm not even gonna fucking bother showing the panels where Gaia says it's time to "make things right" because they literally don't matter. Why don't they matter? Because Rachel just had to get in one more pointless time skip.
We're shown a sequence of pointless images that I'm not gonna show as I don't want to waste my image limit on them, depicting Hades having a sad day because his small wife isn't with him and oh nooo what could have happened?? Did Persephone finally divorce him ??
Nah, we couldn't possibly have an actually happy ending in this comic. Instead we get a completely pointless phone conversation between Hades and Hecate-
Not only is the grammar particularly bad in this episode, but the actual script-writing is atrocious. We literally did not need this phone conversation to happen because-
-we're cutting BACK TO THE PRESENT THAT WE JUST CUT AWAY FROM FOR A 3 MONTH TIME SKIP. FOR NO REASON BESIDES SHOWING HADES BE SAD OVER SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY ISN'T THAT BIG A DEAL, AS YOU'RE ABOUT TO SEE.
I- I LITERALLY HAVE NO WORDS. I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS. ALL I CAN HEAR IN MY BRAIN IS THE LEGEND OF ZELDA ITEM GET MUSIC-
youtube
-BECAUSE THIS WHOLE THING SUDDENLY SOUNDS LIKE SOME CONTRIVED FETCH QUEST. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HADES AND PERSEPHONE HAVE PROVEN 'TRUE LOVE' IS REAL? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY HAVEN'T USED 'LOVE' AS A FORCE FOR DESTRUCTION?? ARE WE FORGETTING THAT HADES MUTILATED A GUY IN THE NAME OF 'LOVE'? THAT PERSEPHONE LITERALLY INVADED THE HOME OF HADES' CANONICAL FIRST WIFE BECAUSE SHE FELT MILDLY THREATENED BY HER?
This whole concept of "true love" that Rachel is trying to convey feels so juvenile especially for a series that has sold itself as being mature and thought-provoking and progressive.
HAHAHA SO FUNNYYYYYYY why does Rachel write like this. this is, at best, the writing of a 13 year old on fanfiction.net, which I SHOULD KNOW, because I WAS ONE OF THEM. BUT I'M 28 NOW AND RACHEL HAS ANOTHER 10 YEARS ON ME.
Okay, this is the part where I'm CONVINCED Rachel either just mashed this into the episode in the MINUTES leading up to its release, or she used ChatGPT or something. Because NONE of this dialogue makes any sense. Beyond how stilted and lifeless it is (seriously, this dialogue reads like something from Empress Theresa) Gaia is clearly meant to 'replace' Erebus here which I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO EVEN EXPLAIN IS SO FUCKING DUMB, but ALSO what is even Persephone trying to communicate here? "That is true, but it was a deal I was willing to make and ties me to the Underworld. Please don't change me." What? Gaia hasn't even insinuated that she's going to do anything to Persephone, why is Persephone immediately jumping to this conclusion? What does 'changing' her mean? Is she asking Gaia not to force her to sacrifice something (which she never did)? Or is she asking Gaia not to strip her of her Underworld status? Because again, why is that even something Gaia would do?
Maybe this is harsh but I'm pretty sure even Empress Theresa is more coherent than this, what in the flying fuck is Gaia talking about?
"I can just see the potential for conflict! To relieve you from the burden of the whats, the hows, and wheres." Like... okay, first of all, that second sentence isn't even a complete sentence, it's a dependent clause left hanging, but also what the fuck does this MEAN. Is she EXCITED for the conflict but then contradicting herself by saying she wants to relieve Persephone of that conflict? Or is she saying she can see the conflict it would cause for Persephone to have to perform duties in both realms and trying to insinuate that she's going to relieve her of those complications?
Here's what I think happened - I think that second 'sentence' wasn't supposed to be a sentence, but the start of the sentence to the next panel-
So with that theory in mind, the sentence becomes, "To relieve you from the burden of the whats, the hows, and wheres, you are to spend three months in the Mortal Realm to do spring and the rest of the year in the Underworld. That seems fair to me."
It's still a very poorly written line of dialogue, but at least with that fix in mind it makes sense. But man, you can really fucking tell this episode was submitted at the last minute because that's a serious syntax error that should NOT have happened in this two-time-Eisner-winning comic.
Errors aside, it's clear that Rachel is following through on having Persephone spend only three months in the Mortal Realm, rather than the traditional six. There ARE other translations that have that number closer to four, but those four are the time she spends in the UNDERWORLD, meaning she's always spending either equal or MORE time in the Mortal Realm. Of course, Rachel doesn't want her self-insert small wife power fantasy to actually have to be separated from Hades despite this being a retelling of The Abduction of Persephone, so instead of her spending three months in the Underworld, she's now spending them in the Mortal Realm, literally doubling the MINIMUM amount of time (four months) she was originally meant to reside in the Underworld.
But oh no, apparently those three months are STILL NOT SHORT ENOUGH FOR PERSEPHONE-
Of course, Rachel "Retcon" Smythe had to have her cake and eat it too. I always worried something like this was a possibility, but I never thought she would actually prove me right - not only is Persephone only separated from Hades for three months out of the year, but actually he can visit her any time he wants to, so really, they're not separating at all.
I think Rachel needs to look up "reunion" in the dictionary, because if you can visit each other any time, then that means the 'reunions' are no longer special occasions. This completely removes any semblance of depth or meaning from all of the storytelling leading up to this, all of it with the expectation that this was a retelling of the Abduction of Persephone, because that's what Rachel said it was going to be. At this point it's safe to say that Rachel has zero business attempting to "retell" mythological stories, because she doesn't even seem to grasp the concept of why they were written the way they were to begin with. Either that, or she really just doesn't care, and the only reason for making LO a Greek myth comic at all was to propel her career.
This also brings me back to those promotional ads, the other one that posed the question, "Will sacrifice be enough to bring these two back together?"
This is stating the obvious, but I need to make it perfectly clear - Hades and Persephone have never sacrificed a single thing. The only thing they could POSSIBLY quantify as a "sacrifice" is "not being tied at the hip for a few hours", because even Persephone going on the equivalent of a work trip next door is apparently enough to make Hades sad as we saw in the 3 month time skip panels. Why is Hades so sad and lonely if he can visit her any time? Why is he acting like he hasn't seen her in years when he's actually on his way to reunite with her? Why is Hecate calling to ask him if he's "okay" as if he JUST got separated from her, but actually he's about to literally go to the Mortal Realm to reunite with her?
Hades hasn't 'sacrificed' a damn thing, neither has Persephone. They've both always gotten exactly what they wanted, even at the cost of breaking the story's own established rules. Their 'sacrifice' is equivalent to what billionaires think are 'sacrifices' when they can't buy another yacht or go on that third overseas vacation for the month.
And even outside of this episode, when have these two ever sacrificed anything?
I've tried so hard to think of what sacrifices have been made by the characters within LO, and I genuinely can only think of one - and that was when Artemis chose to go to the Mortal Realm with Persephone instead of staying with her family in Olympus. That was a genuine, selfless sacrifice, made by a character who has been shelved in favor of focusing on the self-centered pink and blue airheads.
Being forced to be apart for a couple days to do the equivalent of a day job and whining about it the whole time is not a 'sacrifice'. Neither of these characters have ever sacrificed anything, they just feel like sacrifices because they have the integrity and empathy of soggy cardboard.
sigh Anyways, we're back in the present and Hades and Persephone immediately decide they're gonna have sex because ofc, and then we get this gem of a panel-
MMMMMM
FUNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY JOKE
For some reason it's just a common thing for people to just be in Hades' home, and they can't seem to get any privacy as a result of this, but I digress. Turns out they still need to have that coronation for Persephone.
There is... so much wrong in these three panels.
First, to state the immediate issues - why the fuck are they mentioning Apollo at Persephone's coronation? Like first of all, no shit Apollo isn't gonna be there, but also, if this is supposed to be an event for and about Persephone becoming Queen of the Underworld, then why in the WORLD is Apollo even being mentioned? This is supposed to be a "feminist retelling" where the victims are empowered and heal from their trauma, but LO once again can't try to show any sort of positive growth for the victims without bringing up the assaulters and giving them screen time. It just goes to show that Rachel's idea of "healing" is purely rooted in the revenge, and not the growth. It's a very high schooler approach to this subject, hellbent on showcasing how all the meanies from the past are losers now and life just sucked for them forever, but inadvertently proving its own point that the victims haven't and can't move on because the narrative is spending so much time on caring what's going on with the abusers. It's the "I don't care! Look at how little I care! I'll prove it to you by putting in the effort of showing you how little I care!" approach, it doesn't really feel like moving on.
It's not about how Persephone and his other victims could have grown and healed, no, Rachel always needs to highlight just how much worse the bullies and haters and abusers are doing to make the victims seem like they've healed by comparison. Don't get me wrong, I can understand wanting to showcase the downfall of a character like Apollo, but this just... isn't the right context for that? Because it's once again taking attention away from the victim to focus on the abuser. It's once again spending screentime on the voices of the oppressors rather than the oppressed.
And speaking of, what the fuck is this punishment even? I knew Rachel wasn't gonna be able to resolve this plotline properly, she never had the capability to, but ... community service? Are you fucking for real? What is this even a punishment for even? Was this EXCLUSIVELY the SA, or does this ALSO include his attempts to overthrow Zeus by poisoning him, nearly killing Daphne, Eris, Eros and Psyche, trapping Eros and Psyche in an enchanted basement, and framing his father's 'death' on his half-sister? Because if so, how in the world is anyone content with community service? He hasn't even been turned into a mortal, HE'S STILL A GOD, so what's to stop him from going "WE'LL MEET AGAIN, SPIDERMAN" and trying something else? How is this a reasonable resolution in ANY context?
This is why I talked at length about what an issue it was to hide what Apollo really admitted to. Because now we really don't know what exactly he confessed to, and thus we can never really see the point of views of the victims outside of just Persephone - and we still don't even get Persephone's, because she just walks away from him and then he gets eaten by Ouranos and next we see of him is him doing community service! Once again, any emotional development that could be given to Persephone and the other victims is stripped away to make room for the point of views of the oppressive men. In this, the two-time-Eisner-winning "feminist comic" that is LO.
And that brings us to the "where are they now" segment. Yes, as we all feared, there's a "where are they now" segment, and it's as rushed and underwhelming as we ought to have expected it to be.
There is just... so much to unpack here, and yes, all of it is delivered in the dumbest way possible that only raises more questions than answers.
So Rhea and Metis are just back and we're not gonna talk about the implications of them being alive again?
Dionysus is a 3 month year old in the body of a teenager / young adult, and his mom is just alive now because Hades conveniently got his hands on more ambrosia and brought her back to life offscreen? But somehow Triptomelus and Hedone are still child-sized relative to their ages?
How did they 'heal Zeus'? And why is he so content with losing his power as King and Apollo being sentenced to community service after making an attempt on his life? How does he feel about the letter that Hera gave him? Did he even read it?
Where the fuck is Hebe in all of this? Is she okay? Do people still think it was her who put Zeus in a coma? Or did Apollo confess to that, too?
You're telling me Hera and Echo are just in a relationship now despite the fact that Hera is literally racist towards nymphs and there is ZERO reason for them to have a relationship in the comic beyond the fans making gratuitous headcanons out of it? How is Rachel, a bisexual woman, so bad at writing actual lesbian relationships and giving them the same amount of attention as the heterocis ones without shoving them into the background as props for insincere queer rep? And what about Hera herself? How did she overcome her role as the Goddess of Marriage to finally divorce Zeus?
"Ares is still a dog!" Haha! Ares is still a Persephone simp! Happy end!
Why is Eros just standing there smiling at the camera struggling to be seen past Hedone who's just floating right in front of him? You're telling me there wasn't a better place to put her out of that entire panel?
"Hades and Thanatos have been making more time for each other. Sometimes they even have a conversation." I'm sorry, is this supposed to be funny? The man abused Thanatos for years, treated him as just a lowly employee when he was literally his adopted son, and now you're trying to play it off as a joke that they're "making more time for each other"? What the fuck is this?
TGOEM disbanded? Why? What about the women who were genuinely a part of it?
Also, Artemis and Selene are just good friends now because reasons? Because they're both affiliated with the moon, I guess? Why is Selene even in this comic-
"They are still looking for Kassandra". Who? And why? This feels like such a last minute addition to acknowledge a character that the comic spent WEEKS foreshadowing only to have her finally appear as a pointless McGuffin, but it's so last minute that it does nothing. I'm assuming it's Eros and Psyche looking for her, but like... why can't they find her? They're gods, tracking down one mortal shouldn't be that difficult LOL ???
And also, where the fuck is Leto?? You're telling me she was an accessory - maybe manipulating Apollo, maybe not - but we don't see what happened to her? Is she just back to being a social outcast then? jesus christ this comic isn't finished-
Kassandra is where the "where are they now" sequence ends, and we're treated to one final horribly written dialogue scene between Hades and Persephone, where they tell each other how much they love each other in a desperate attempt to convince the audience that this is, in fact, a romance.
There's this thing in romances called chemistry, and if you're good at writing it, you shouldn't have to write dialogue like this. You should be able to see how much the characters love each other through their actions, through their small behaviors around each other. It's not always about what they say out loud, it's about what they don't have to say, because when two people really share that close of a bond based on love and trust and chemistry, words often aren't necessary.
Hades and Persephone do not have that chemistry. It has been apparent for years now, but this final exchange really is the nail in the coffin. There are no microexpressions or subtle emotions, no subtlety in their word choice, and nothing unique setting their voices apart. It's all just "wow thank you for being such a wonderful amazing partner, you are amazing and I love you" word salad that has to do all the heavy lifting for the completely non-existent chemistry that's been at its absolute worst throughout this entire season.
And worst of all, despite this story trying so hard to be focused around Persephone, around her story, her trauma and her healing, her voice... it's still all just about Hades. In the end, she's thanking Hades, and forcing him to say "you're welcome". All of it is trying so hard to convince us that Hades has been a positive addition to her life, that she 'owes' so much to him, but we've obviously seen plenty throughout the comic that begs to differ. And even if he were a better person than he is, it still doesn't change the fact that once again, the men are being held up above the women, with the women being grateful to the men who choose them. LO can try its hardest to convince people that it's feminist, but it is, at best, reinforcing the very same structures of the patriarchal system that it claims to despise and rebel against.
We do get one line from Hades acknowledging Persephone's part in the relationship-
-and it falls so fucking flat because it's still about him and what she does for him, and because nothing about their relationship was built on any sort of organic chemistry. There was a lot more chemistry back in S1, but it was still predicated on Hades lusting after a vulnerable 19 year old girl.
Yep, and that's it. That's the end.
Except it isn't because Rachel wanted to try and be smart by including an 'epilogue' that's really just stretching the episode out pointlessly for another few panels. And of course, we had to get another time skip, just a final dose of salt in the wound, this time to years ahead when we inevitably had to reconnect with Persephone and Hades in the future after Melinoe was born.
To recap, Melinoe doesn't remember... because Hades had Morpheus erase her memories.
This plotline has really started to give me the ick because it actually feels very familiar. Bear with me here, because I'm gonna go on a bit of a tangent about my own original work, but it's because I wrote a plotline exactly like this years ago.
There's this... turning point, in Time Gate: Reaper, when the main character Uzuki is kidnapped by a Reaper (see: undead) who wants to experiment on her in the hopes that he can somehow gain her abilities to bond her soul with others (which later allows her to literally possess people after she becomes a Reaper herself). Mitsuhiro, the male deuteragonist who kickstarts the plot by telling Uzuki she's got a limited amount of time left to live (which he knows thanks to his magical death timers that mark themselves on his skin), feels an immense amount of guilt after finding out she was kidnapped by the Reapers (at this point she's been gone for three months), as they were originally after him; he worries that she was made a target simply due to him associating himself with her, and vows to rescue her.
With the help of some other spunky teenagers and anime trope characters, Mitsuhiro does eventually rescue Uzuki - but for the three months she had been gone, she had been tortured, abused, and experimented on, causing her mind to split and for her to lose any sense of awareness of who Mitsuhiro or her other friends were. She was no longer herself after the hell she had been through.
Mitsuhiro's solution to this is to have Springlock - another Reaper with motivations that are not yet clear to the cast - erase her memory. This is not a light decision that comes without consequences - for the remaining duration of the story, Uzuki is plagued by night terrors and panic attacks, unable to really remember what happened to her aside from whatever brief flashbacks her brain recalls in its haze of memory loss. She is traumatized, both physically and mentally. She has lost three months of her life and memories, and doesn't know how to explain why she's covered in scars that are still healing, why she's missing organs, why she's now blind in one eye, and why the sound of scraping metal and ticking clocks gives her panic attacks. Mitsuhiro has convinced her friends that she's suffering from memory loss due to trauma, but only he knows the truth that he forcefully took her memories away from her, without her consent. This was not the right choice to make. It was not noble of him, it was not a grand gesture of love, he made a decision on her behalf without her consent that has now resulted in her becoming a nervous wreck. Sure, she still would have had PTSD if she remembered what happened, but at least she would know why and could then seek adequate help. Without those memories, she has nowhere to begin to heal. And so we see the consequences of this throughout [AFTERBIRTH] and even the upcoming Thread of Fate. It is a long-term problem that is not going to be solved overnight, especially not with Mitsuhiro withholding information from her.
Reading about Melinoe having dreams about her experiences trapped in Tartarus with Kronos ... it felt familiar enough that I had to talk about why the insinuations of this are so fucked up. I know there are people who are gonna handwave it away as "she's just a kid", "these are gods so what does it matter", etc. but ... it just feels like such an oversight to have Hades effectively erase her memory of her trauma and then hint at them still being present in her mind through her dreams. She did not ask for that. And the fact that she's now dreaming about it all does not bode well. But we're supposed to think Hades made the correct choice, regardless.
But none of this is effectively expanded on or explained, because we get one final scene of Melinoe and Demeter visiting Persephone, who has just given birth to... Makaria?
So it turns out Persephone and Hades are just able to have biological children now. Don't know why, but of course they both look exactly like Hades.
What I was really confused by though is the fact that it's Makaria and not Brimos. Do you remember Brimos? The child that was foreshadowed in Hades' original fantasy dream sequence about his future children about Persephone?
Either Rachel completely forgot about him, or she saw all the criticism over the fact that Brimos isn't a confirmed child of Hades and Persephone (rather, an epithet that can apply to basically any Underworld god including Persephone and Hades) and that her "research" was dependent on a book she read when she was 13 and decided to axe that. But she went to the effort of establishing that all the dreams Hades had were , in fact, canon visions of the future, so good job Rachel, you created yet another plothole on top of the hundreds of others.
And that's where the series ends, on a final nuclear-family-photo of Persephone, Hades, Melinoe, and Makaria. Of course, Dionysus and Thanatos aren't present in this shot because this is Lore Olympus and only biological children count /hj
Why Rachel couldn't move the "the end" portion to THIS part, I don't know, but I'm also expecting way too much of the person who finished this 20 minutes before it was due.
So that's it. Six years and that's what we get. I didn't expect much, but I was still incredibly disappointed, as were many others who walked away from this dazed and confused. Maybe it's all the "haters" deserve at this point. But what of the fans? While many of them are celebrating this ending at best and tolerating it at worst, I can't help but think of the fans of this comic who hung on for so long in the hopes it would "pay off", just for it to go out as gloriously as a wet fart.
As for me, I have such mixed feelings about Lore Olympus ending, but none of them pertain to the comic itself. Most of what I'll miss from this comic isn't the comic itself, but the people who have made reading it every week so fun, the artists and writers who have enriched the content with their own interpretations of what could have been, and the experiences of being part of such an amazing community made up of people who are as long-term-obsessed about this piece of media as I am.
I get people who ask me a lot if it's "worth it" to be so engrossed in the LO slander, who assume that I'm going to "regret" ever being a part of it all... but from where I'm standing right now, I couldn't ask for a better view.
Even if I didn't love every minute of it, everything I have here I owe to this comic. This stupid, wonderful, boring, amazing, pile of shit comic.

Nico Di Angelo x Will Solace x Son of Chaos reader?
AN: Thank you for requesting and I hope you like this. I also took the liberty of picking my own prompt since you didn't give me one so I hope you are okay with that. It is perfectly okay to not give a request without a prompt but that just means I pick one myself.
Chaos Follows You, But We Don't Care
Nico di Angelo x Will Solace x Son of Chaos Reader
Prompt - Angry Confessions
You didn't know what you were doing.
You were currently sitting on a high branch in a tree. You had ran here after the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you. You've been here for a couple hours and you were still scared and embarrassed.
You want to know what happened?
You might have confessed to your two closest best friends. Nico and Will. They were your friends since you first came to camp. You've been friends with them for years. And you've had a crush on the both of them for as long.
You always knew you liked guys and that you were Polyamorous, but why did you have to fall in love with both of them. It was even worse when they told you that they were dating. It made you feel like a third wheel.
It hurt.
But you couldn't tell them; they didn't love you like you loved them. So you kept it hidden. No matter how much it hurt. Watching them act all lovey dovey. It made you a little sick. The pain in your heart when you watched them.
You couldn't even describe it.
So one day when you were hanging out with them at the beach, the sun beating down on your skin. The sounds of the crashing waves. The whispers of Nico and Will. It was pretty shitty. You were sitting a few feet to their left.
They weren't even talking to you. They were your friends, but they were too distracted with each other. You started to get angry and you yelled. You stood up and yelled at the two boys about how you loved them. But how it hurt that they didn't love you back and how they ignored you.
After you were done yelling you realized what you had said you had ran. You took one look and Nico's shocked face and Will's sad one and ran. You ran, even when you heard Will calling for you, you ran till you found this tree and climbed up it.
You've been here ever since.
You didn't want to go back. You didn't want to face Nico and Will. You didn't want them to have to tell you that they didn't love you like that. You didn't want them to tell you that you couldn't be their friends any more. So you stayed here.
Even when you heard the dinner bell you didn't move. You were fine. Though you were hungry you didn't move. You felt like crying. You blew it. You were going to lose your only friends. You made chaos. You did what every one you would do.
You were a son of Chaos. Her name said what she did just fine. That's why people were never your friends. Even before you knew you were a demigod, you made chaos. Everywhere you went chaos followed like a lost puppy.
You always made a mess of things and added stress to everyone's day. You never meant to, you were a kid. But people didn't know that. They thought you did it on purpose. Even when you found out you were a demigod.
People were still wary of you.
Nobody talked to you, nobody went near you. You tried to stop the chaos you made. You tried to stop your powers. You had the powers to cause chaos from nothing. But that never worked. Chaos was all that you knew and you were fine with it.
That was until you met Nico and Will.
Since there was no cabin for you they just placed you in Hermes. But since the Hermes kids didn't like that a claimed kid was with them, plus you made lots of chaos that they didn't like. Chiron had placed you in Hades cabin. Nico was rarely there and it was away from everyone.
So you met Nico first. He knew what it was like to be an outcast. He talked to you and he didn't mind when you made chaos. He even helped you control it. Nico was kind and understanding. He was a nice person to talk to when you needed someone to listen for a bit.
Nico was fun to hang out with. You both were outcasts so you two got along well. You both scared the shit out of campers. Especially new campers that saw the two of you leaning or sitting by a tree in the shadows.
Then you met Will. Some people decided that it would be fun to hurt you. They would try a little harder to knock you down during sword practice. People would miss fire really close to you during target practice. So every once and a while you would show up at the infirmary with a new bruise or cut.
Will would be the one who would patch you up most of the time. He said that he heard about you from Nico because they were friends. That might have made you blush. So you and Will got to talking since Nico was friends with you both.
Will was really nice and he really cared about his friends. Will was like a ray of sunshine. He brightened up your day whenever you see him. Especially when you walk into of the infirmary. Since you were all friends you started to hang out with the both of them.
It was hard since Nico was rarely at Camp Half-Blood and Will always worked but you guys managed it. Some of your best memories were with the both of them. They were your best and only friends. You loved them more then anything.
Now you were going to lose them.
Tears started to fall out of your eyes and onto your lap. You tried to stop them but they were coming whether you liked it or not. You started to quietly sob and you brought your knees to your chest. You wrapped your arms around your legs and placed your head on top of them.
You cried onto your knees but you stopped when you heard a twig snap. You glanced down to see Nico and Will looking around. Why were they here? Were they looking for you? You stayed quiet. You didn't want them to find you. You weren't ready for them to break the news to you.
You weren't ready to lose the ones you loved.
Unfortunately that didn't last long because Nico looked up and saw you in the tree. You and Nico held eye contact until Nico grabbed Will's hand and pointed up at you. Will looked at Nico for a second before following Nico's finger up to you.
Nico and Will looked at you while you looked at them. The boys on the ground looked at each other. "Hey Y/n? Do you want to come down?" Will asked. Will was always better at calming your nerves. He knew what to say to calm you down. Nico tried but it never really worked.
But it was the thought that counted.
"N-no", you said with a wavering voice. You didn't want to talk but you knew you had too. "Okay. we'll wait", Will yelled up and you watched as Nico and Will walked over to the base of the tree and sat down. You could tell that they were talking to each other but you couldn't hear them.
You needed to talk to them. You needed to bite the bullet and get this over with. Though the thought of that made more tears slip out of your eyes. You wiped them away and started to make your way down the tree. It took a bit but before you knew it you were standing in front of Nico and Will.
Nico looked a little scared while Will still looked sad. You sat down criss cross in front of them and stared at them. None of you spoke. You were scared and something told you that they were too. "Do you know why we're here Y/n", Will asked.
You knew but you didn't want to say it so you nodded. "We're not mad Y/n", Nico said. It was the first time he had spoke and you could tell from his voice that Nico was scared. "In fact we wanted to tell you something", Will said.
This was it.
You were about to lose your friends. You got ready to run away after they said it. You placed your hands on the ground and closed your eyes. You couldn't look at them while they did this. You heard more whispering and heard moving. Then you felt something touch both of your cheeks.
It felt like a kiss.
You vaguely remember your father placing a kiss on your cheek before he left for work. You opened your eyes and looked at Nico and Will with a shocked expression. They were now sitting a foot in front of you. They both had a smile on their face. Will's was bigger Nico's was bigger but they both looked really happy.
"Wha-", you tried to ask what happened but Will and Nico both spoke, cutting you off. "We like you too". You were so happy and shocked, and still a little sad. This was so much that you started to cry again. You didn't know why but you did.
Nico and Wil got a little scared but you were quick to ease their worries. "No I'm fine I'm just", you didn't even know what to say. Will smiled again and pulled you and Nico into a hug. You and Nico were shocked but you both hugged back.
They liked you back. You were so happy. Will pulled away and looked at you, "we're sorry for making you feel like that". Will was referring to when you were scared and how you felt when you left them. "It's fine, as long as I get a kiss as an apology", you smiled at the both of them.
Will let out a little laugh but kissed you any way. You smiled, it was quick because you heard Nico's grumble. You pulled away and kissed Nico too. "Does this mean were dating?" You asked and Nico rolled his eyes. "yes Y/n, we are all boyfriends", you smiled again.
Nico and Will loved you, chaos and all.

Fem! Reader comforting uliana about her insecurity of being not as amazing as her sister (reader and uliana are dating)
I love Uli, I also really like that we got a sibling rivalry/ golden child vs forgotten child dynamic from her because we really didn’t see anything like that in the OG3
Also a big thank you to @an-absolute-waste-of-space for helping me figure out a plot for this because I was absolutely lost.
Strongest Tides
Uliana x Reader
Pronouns used: she/her/hers
Summary: When the sea witch gets emotionally knocked out of commission, it's up to her girlfriend to man the crew.
Warnings: swearing, tongue kissing that honestly is more of a make out session, first "I love you", pet names
Word Count: 2K
You would think by now Uliana would have learned not to mess with kids older than her. There was a reason you punched down instead of up, wasn’t there? But of course, her craving to be seen as evil had the ability to cloud her judgment. Though, if she had known that the senior she was messing with had been there to witness the frog incident Ursula had caused, maybe she wouldn’t have. How was she supposed to know that the boy she was mocking was a super senior? Did they really expect Uliana to care enough about who went to school there for her to immediately know exactly who repeated a grade? But now, as she paces in the hallway in front of her girlfriend’s dorm, Uli can’t get his words out of her head. “Is that all you’ve got? How are you and your sister cut from the same cloth?” She was so used to being compared to Ursula. Ella and Bridget almost exclusively referred to her as “Ursula’s baby sister”. But something about his words had her spiraling. How was her sister so much better than her that someone couldn’t believe they were related? There was no way that she was that weak compared to Urs, was there?
She shouldn’t even be here, this is just proving his point. Ursula would never run to someone to comfort her after being spoken down to. No, her sister would get revenge, immediate unapologetic revenge. She should do the same, surely she should. But the only thing she could think of was the boy’s words. And surely when she walked through this door, the entirety of her crew would be there. Or at the very least, three out of five of them. (Y/n) and Maleficent didn’t tend to spend time away from their dorms unless they were with the crew or on a date, and Hades was always glued to Maleficent’s side. She knew they would be there. Hook and Morgie might be a gamble, but surely if she needed them she could just get Hades to grab them. No point in getting revenge alone, was there? So, despite what her brain told her to do, Uliana’s hand raises up to the door, knuckles rapping on the hollow wood.
“It’s open!” (Y/n)’s angelic voice calls through the door, the sound wrapped in a laugh. Maybe being in there would be good for her, did revenge really matter that much? Her hand falls to the handle, a rage still trying to hide her insecurity as she flings the door open. “You will not believe what this fool said to me!” The entirety of her crew turns to face her, Morgie sliding further down (Y/n)’s bed to give her space to sit next to her girlfriend. With loud, angered foot steps, Uliana stomps her way over to the spot, sinking into the soft duvet and school issued mattress. And just as quickly as she can let her back muscles relax, (Y/n) has an arm around her, her thumb rubbing soft circles on Uliana’s hip. “What did he say to you, babydoll?” She’s leaning into her girlfriend’s touch subconsciously, trying to keep her threatening face when it begs to turn into a pout. She looks around the room, taking a deep, centering breath. Everyone who makes her feel cared about in her life has their eyes on her, these gentle adoring things that make it hard for her to keep her composure. This was the safest space she would probably ever know.
“I tried to cast a spell on this asshole and I messed up the Atlantean and the spell didn’t cast.” Her voice is softer than it was before, everything about her is as the eyes of everyone who loves her circle in on her. “Okay, what did he say, Uli? I’ll hook him,” Hook’s voice walks the line of caring and playful, his smirk falling into a gentle, understanding smile. “He asked me if that was ‘all I had’,” she puts finger quotes around the words, taking a deep breath as she continues, “And then he asked how Ursula and I could have ‘cut from the same cloth’. How dare he?” The circles (Y/n) was rubbing on her hip have turned into hearts, she’s subconsciously pulling Uli further into her as to protect her from an evil that isn’t even there. “So, what did you do?” Morgie’s voice joins the conversation, the bubbly tone floating on excitement’s fire. “I didn’t,” it’s the words that break the damn, sending her into this broken little girl instead of the powerful sea witch she should be. Cuddling further into her girlfriend, face finding a place to hide in the girl’s waiting shoulder.
“Well, I say that if he thinks he can speak to my girl like that, maybe he shouldn’t be allowed to speak at all,” there’s a wicked bite to it as she reaches down to grab Uliana’s chin, tilting her head back to look at her. “Who spoke to you like that?” “Facilier,” it’s this soft broken mumble that the whole crew has to lean in to hear. The fact that they were dealing with a witch doctor wasn’t great, but if (Y/n) was confident in anything it was her friends. So she nods, letting Uliana’s face fall back to hiding against her as she turns to the other villains in the room. “Say, Mali, Morgie. Have y’all ever tested what happens when you combine your powers? Like what happens if you cast the same spell at once?” An excited bite of fire dances through both of their eyes, turning from the girl to each other. “We could try,” Maleficent’s tone is hard to read, but she’s clearly trying to egg him on. Something that is solidified to be working when he tacks on a, “What were you thinking?”
“If the second in command is willing,” she turns to Hook with this strange air to her that has a crazed look dancing in his eyes. A rapid nod pushes her to finish her plan. “I was thinking that Hook here could be your brawn, make sure the fool can’t get away before you two can cast a silencing spell together. I mean one spell is great, but imagine the power of you both casting it.” The three of them are bouncing to their feet, Maleficent finding herself tucked between Hook and Morgie who both offer her a hand. “I have one that lasts 24 hours in my mother’s spell book, with both of us I’d put money on it lasting for two days,” there’s a hiss tucked on the end of his words as he pulls the door open. Though (Y/n) can’t see them, she’d bet money on Morgie having snake eyes as he speaks. The three trouble makers making their way into the hall as they whisper about their scheme.
“Hades?” He raises a brow to her, arms locked over his chest with pursed lips. “Can you go be their actual brawn?” He’s nodding, this knowing look dancing in his eyes as he stands from Maleficent’s now empty bed, “No way those three could handle dealing with the shadow man without me.” And (Y/n) hums, watching him make his way to the door, “No, there sure is not.” As it clicks closed behind him, she turns back to her girl, taking in her quickly deteriorating front.
“How’s my girl?” No words dare to grace her ears, Uliana shaking her head against the girl’s warm shoulder. “Uli,” she’s cooing, reaching down to pull her girlfriend’s legs over her own, softly maneuvering her into her lap. “I don’t want to talk about it.” She hums, letting a hand find the back of Uliana’s neck so that she can rub soft loving circles on it.
“You know, if you ask me, Ursula is nothing but a show off. Evil isn’t doing things to get people’s attention like that stupid frog stunt. It’s waiting, planning, being able to strike fear into hearts.” Uliana shifts on her lap, carefully and slowly moving so that she can straddle (Y/n)’s lap. Her face nuzzles further into the crook of her lover’s neck as she settles herself on her knees. A sweet and gentle kiss finding the side of her neck before Uli speaks. “Yeah well, not everyone seems to think so.” She hums, feeling the way a hand has snaked up her shirt and onto her back, the other resting on her waist as if to hold her steady. “Who cares what some idiot who failed his sophomore year thinks?” Of course (Y/n) knew that, she knew everything. That’s what Uliana gets for not coming to her first. “I think that you’re on your way to stealing the title of mistress of evil,” she kisses Uli’s temple, laying them both back on her bed.
“Yeah, as if. I am never getting that title.” She welcomes the new position, the ghost of a smile threatening her lips. “You can be my mistress of evil,” (Y/n) has this wicked little amusement to her voice as she says it, the girl carefully flipping them over. Uliana’s legs straighten out the moment her back hits the mattress, eyes screwed shut as if she’s scared to see her partner. And that just won’t do, not for (Y/n) it won’t. She balances all her weight on one arm, pushing back a stray lock of hair that fell over her face, “Let me see your eyes.” “I’m okay, actually,” Uliana shakes her head, knowing what’s going to meet her if she does. She can’t handle the way the muscles in (Y/n)’s exposed biceps are going to be slightly flexed from holding her weight, that gentle, loving look that’s gonna cross her features. No one had ever looked at Uliana like that before she did. Uli wasn’t exactly sure how to feel about it, surely it made her weak. It had to, the way she craved to have someone look at her like that made her feel like she wasn’t evil enough. But if it felt so good, could it really be so bad?
“Look at me,” she repeats, letting her lips ghost over Uliana’s jaw, “Let me see my girl.” “You already can,” she whispers, fighting the urge to reach up and pull her girlfriend closer to her. “No, I wanna see you, not your body. You hide everything about yourself in those pretty eyes, did you know that?” Another kiss hits where her jaw and neck connect, the action mixed with her girlfriend’s words making her shiver. “I really don’t think you wanna see me like this, Darling,” the words fall shaky as she feels (Y/n) leave a kiss on the column of her throat. “I want to see all of you, Babydoll, I love you.” Her eyes shoot open, a gasp being ripped through her lips. “You do?” With a smile, the girl is hovering back over her face. This beautiful sense of pride taking over her features, “Of course I do, I’ve loved you since the moment we locked eyes at orientation. You’re the stars in my sky.” There’s no pressure for Uliana to say it back, not even room for her to respond before there’s lips pressed to hers. A soft and gentle motion that she’s suddenly starved for.
One of her hands comes up to cup (Y/n)’s jaw, dragging the girl closer as she kisses back, pressing her deeper and deeper into the kiss. Something that was meant to be adoring and languid turning into a harsh and needy little gesture. A hand on her jaw and the back of her neck, holding her down against the girl she has pressed into her mattress. A swipe of tongue against Uliana’s lips has them slipping open on a whine, giving the girl on top of her a chance to slide her tongue into her waiting mouth. The kiss becoming a dance of tongues and clashing teeth. Raw and needy and saying more than either girl knew how to put into words. And when (Y/n) pushes back against Uliana’s needy hands, drawing herself up and gasping for air, she can feel the way her lover’s mood has changed. The girl panting for air as she leans her own forehead against the sea witch’s. “God, you are wicked,” it’s a breathy little praise that has the girl beneath her absolutely smitten. “I love you too.”

Will and Naomi Solace don't normally celebrate Easter considering the whole she slept with a Greek god, had a demigod child but could only tell her small-town religious family that she had a one nightstand and got pregnant thing. She had been told they still loved her but was still publicly shamed and shunned until she got famous for her music.
Will didn't think his grandparents, uncles, or aunts deserved his mom in their lives after what they put her through, but he figured if she could forgive them, he could too. Except they didn't know he was bisexual. They didn't know about Nico. Will had been all too willing to tell his sweet, loving, adoring mother about his boyfriend. He made sure Nico knew when he first brought it up that there was no rush, and just like when it came to everything, he was willing to wait forever. (Nico had actually stared at him in disbelief, and with the oh-so-noticeable red splashing across his pale skin muttered a quiet, "Idiota". Will didn't need to be fluent in Italian to know /that one/, even when he first heard it.)
Introducing Nico to his mother was a mistake, not because of any homophobia or monster attacks, but just how much they both love to embarrass him. His mother shares stories and shows pictures (which Will panics about because technology and demigods don't mix well) of a much younger and embarrassing Will, and by the look in Nico's eyes Will knows he is never living it down. In return, his mother learns of his embarrassing flirting in the middle of a war.
The memory was nice now, a year and a half later, especially since Will was currently on the verge of an entire mental breakdown. Being back in Texas had that effect on him. At camp, he locked away all panic, grief, loss, suffering in order to run the infirmary and be strong for his siblings, but here, he had no infirmary and no siblings. He could honestly care less of what these people thought of him - Lee's opinion had mattered, Michael's opinion had mattered, His mama's opinion matters, Nico's feelings and opinion matters. Hades, he cares more for Apollo's opinion than these people, and he was still struggling with his own complicated feelings towards his father - not that they ever showed outwardly.
Will was more worried that these people that shared blood with him would shame his and Nico's relationship and upset his boyfriend. Nico had suffered so much pain and suffering already, especially when it came to his sexuality and accepting that there wasn't anything wrong with himself for loving boys. Will was so proud of how far Nico had come and felt sick to his stomach at being an indirect cause of a relapse.
"You worry too much," The words sounded so beautiful that they must have been spoken by an angel. (They weren't, they were spoken by none other than Nico Di Angelo, but what can he say, he is Apollo's son. It is in his nature to be dramatic at least sometimes.)
"I don't think I worry enough. I mean, there is jus' so much that could go wrong. Mama-" Will shot Nico, who was failing to hide a wide smile, a curious expression unknowingly tilting his head slightly to the right. "What's so amusin' about this?"
"I think I finally understand what Lou Ellen meant when she called you a dog." Will stared blankly absolutely stunned out of his panic, his lips formed a small pout that was absolutely not adorable. Nico got up from where he sat comfortably on Will's bed and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist, resting his head on Will's shoulder. "Breathe. I'm already prepared to ditch this dinner and shadow-travel us both and your mother out somewhere nice at the slightest sign of trouble. Catholic guilt is a bitch, but I am done letting it, Gods, or anyone control my life."
Will felt both relieved and worried. Nico had learned so much about his boundaries with his powers over the last year, but it didn't mean Will didn't worry. "Is that why-?"
"Yes, that is why I slept so much today, il mio sole. Even before we left camp you were doing that nervous thing where you wrap bandages around your wrist. I figured something was bothering you and it had to do with our vacation. You love your mom, so it was obviously this dinner. I'm from the 30s, not an idiot, William, amore mio."
Will couldn't help but gently remove Nico's arm's from around him and sweep the boy off his feet. This frustrating, self-destructive, annoyingly attractive, smartass paid way too much attention to a simple healer such as himself, but Will couldn't imagine his life without Nico in it anymore. The half-hearted glare he received filled him with so much warmth and made him smile so wide it hurt, which in turn caused Nico to turn away to hide the slight upturn of his own lips.

🔱 Poseidon, the Tyrant of the Seas, and one of the Four Brothers of Olympus. He was someone that everyone feared, and you did to, long ago, that is
🔱 He did not like any other species besides the Gods, and he didn't like most of them, but you were different than the rest for some odd reason, one that not even Hades could figure out
🔱 The God of the Sea would watch you work in his castle with your sister as the newest nymphs, since one of his higher-ranked ones decided to save you both by sacrificing some of her blood to do so
🔱 Poseidon would observe everything you did, and his normal hardcore and dead stare would change slightly into a warmer one
🔱 You fit it very well among your new species and family, so much so that many different nymphs from other Gods' homes, such as Apollo's, would speak of you as if you were their sister
🔱 He had to listen to Zeus' constant rants on how amazing you were, and when Adamas and Hades began to join in, Poseidon had to figure out what they were speaking of
🔱 That was the start to your whole relationship!
🔱 Fast forward many years later, you and Yui were living very high lives in the same palace that Poseidon resided in as his most high-ranking assistants
🔱 Yui was usually a very weary girl to be around, and Poseidon knew that, so whenever he needed to speak with her, he would let his trident rest in his room or somewhere away from his reach so she would feel at ease
🔱 That was what he had to do today, and today, their conversation was going to go far past the usual professionalism they usually carried
🔱 She knew how much Poseidon dislikes showing emotions, and most of the information on his feelings came from you
🔱 But, seeing him look at her in the eyes for the first time ever, she payed the most attention to his words, since showing disrespect may result in something horrid
🔱 Poseidon reached into his pocket and held out a small box and opened it, making her eyes widen
" Are you going to- " " I would like your permission in finalizing my relationship with your sibling, Y/N Komori. And, since they do not seem to like your father, your permission is the only one that truly matters here. "
🔱 Yui smiled and chuckled, making Poseidon cock and eyebrow at her reaction. He expected her to be serious, this was her sibling's heart she was lying in his hands, after all!
🔱 She nodded, gifting him her permission, which made him nod and thank her before making his way out of her room
" I wish you luck with her, Lord Poseidon! "
🔱 He turned around and gave her the sight of his rare smile and nodded, saying;
" We are to be family, Yui. You may call me Poseidon. " " How about brother? " " Don't push it. "

family line | nico di angelo x platonic! reader
"I miss Will" "I know, but Will will comeback, just some more days and I promise he will be back"
you and nico weren't the biggest friends, you would consider more as acquitances, as you two bonded by the fact that the two of you were kids from hades and you two got stuck in the cassino only a few decades apart. you were on his side almost all the time and he was on your side almost all the time too, like siblings and, even when hepushes you away sometimes, you make sure for him to know that you would be there if he needs anything.
you knew about his past and some of his struggles, hell you even knew bianca and saw everything that happenned to him, but nico barely knew about you.sure, he knew your friends from dyonisus cabin, your likes and dislikes and he even knows that you still hold some grudge of percy jackson till this day, and he also knows that, besides you and will not being very close, you're always friendly with him.
but he knows nothing about your past. you never seemed uncofrtable to talk about it, but you also never really it, it kinda intrigated him, as ironic it's by the fact that he never asked. but, in the momment of solitude as he missed Will, in a way to distract himself to not go looking after him himself, he thought about questioning you.
taking a look inside the cabin that was mostly decorated by you, he saw some posters putted up. "who are they?"
following his finger, you immediatly smiled.
"they are a band, they are called 'fletwood mac', I would listen to them all the time. altought, I don't know if you would like it,I feel you would like more of Nirvana" "why's that?" he never heard about the band in his life, or even bands that she probably knew about. "it's a rock band...you know, before I got into the cassino and everything, my plan was to go to see them with my sibling in the future. our mother wouldn't let us, but we would have a way"
a silence reigned, nico knew that you had siblins, you mentioned it one time he thinks, but never really talked about it.
feeling the akward silence getting it, you continued.
"I was the oldest, I never really met him, but I'm sure he's out there having fun"
you knew he wasn't, he ws at the camp, or were at some point.
again the silence regined in the cabin, as the night made the situation even more tense, even thought yoou both were accostumated and not really afraid of it.
"you should go to sleep Nico he wouldn't, and you knew he wouldn't, but you always spoke, no matter what. "I will try"
you smiled, he shoke his head, it more than enough for you as you both layed on the bunker bed.

Another bit from Sally=Loki that might have to get the chop but I thought was too funny to not delete. Can you guess who Percy had just met? (It's Apollo, also to answer your earlier question Percy sounds more educated because 1) Loki is very educated and children learn to speak by mimicing parents so compared to Sally who is a high school dropout, nothing wrong with that, just Loki just has a broader vocabulary 2) Loki would accept nothing less then a fantastic education for his child so Percy does go to a good school and has Loki being very supportive at home, 3) Loki has a lot of run ins with the authorities and taught Percy specific phrases. After all mortal doctors could notice something was up with her if they looked so Percy was trained to deny care, if you asked her about some other topic she would not sound that good)
“Why have you returned?” Poseidon demanded “And where is your minder?”
Percy shrugged and replied, “Ares was trying to show me some statues and murals when a strange naked man appeared and started touching Ares all over the place and tried to chase me.”
Her uncle Zeus made a strange noise like a squeaky toy, he should probably see a doctor about that she thought. “Mom and my teachers and the school resource officers all said if I see a person not wearing all their clothes or exposing their privates I’m supposed to run away and find a trusted adult. Ares didn’t seem super available, and you were closest, and it is your day, but I guess I can go back to my grandpa’s house if you’re busy.”
For a moment everything was silent and then Uncle Hades suddenly lunged forward tackling her father who had started to rise back into his seat. “Oh my, that must have been very scary for you” replied her Uncle Hades voice rough and teeth gritted with exertion. Vaguely she could hear her father start to say something only to be quickly cut off by a hissed “Language!” from said Uncle.
Uncle Zeus laughed like someone who knew they were about to fail to negotiate their way out of being kneecapped by the mob and blabbered out, “You didn’t interrupt anything important, no siree, we were just finishing up, now if you will excuse me I just remembered I haven’t seen my children in an bit and must check in on them” all while he fled the room, carefully keeping the table between him and her father. Percy wondered why all the adults on this side of the family constantly acted like they were raised by baboons. With a sigh she turned back to her remaining “adults” and said “Public indecency is illegal, as is exposing yourself to a minor. I believe this is where you are supposed to call the authorities.”
Percy was very proud of herself for remembering all of that from the stranger danger talk at school (mom would have probably castrated the man rather than call the cops but as Percy had recently learned mom also had a history with the law here so she probably had to rely on her own conflict resolution skills… which would explain a lot actually. As the old man who ran the bodega had said, a criminal who calls the cops is a dead criminal). Admittedly she did not ever expect to need to need it as any adult who worked with children with any frequency at all seemed aware of this particular procedure, however she supposed she could give daddy a pass since he was one, very new to this and two, she was starting to doubt he or his siblings had been raised by sentient life at all. So, some ignorance was probably unavoidable on his part, she just hoped the rapid reddening of his face was not due to anger directed at her over being told what to do. Maybe he was embarrassed that he didn’t know already? Mom always said there was nothing embarrassing about learning. However, last time she corrected a boy in her class he cried, she hoped this was not another Joey Klingler situation because she really didn’t think she would be able to get daddy to stop yelling by distracting him by triple-dog-daring him to eat a fistful of sand.
i love how no matter the universe, percy's first interaction with ror!apollo always has to do with him being naked 💀
BUT I LOVE THIS!!! I hope you don't end up deleting it cuz it is a funny scene but if you do... i will treasure this post forever 😔😔😔

it’s me again😁
I feel like we were robbed of Nico and Jason content (NOT A SHIP) after Jason died, so any angsty Headcanons of Nico after Jason died?
Nico didn't make friends. He didn't get close to people. For all his life, Nico had Bianca. Then she died. And Nico was alone. Alone. Ironic as it is, the word seems like the sincerest company Nico had ever had.
Then, Nico met Hazel. That was... that was different. He had to protect her, he didn't have a choice. He lost his sister because he let her go. In what world could he let this opportunity slip away? Besides, something greater was at play and Hazel was needed. Nico didn't make friends.
Then there was Reyna. They had to go on a quest together. They had something to accomplish for a greater good. One could hardly call that friendship. They understood each other, in some odd way. Neither of them were looking for friendship, and they could be comfortable with that. The silence that followed them was appreciated, necessary. Nico didn't make friends.
And then, of course, Nico met Jason. Jason, Jason, what word could describe Jason. He was kind, Nico knew that immediately. He liked to hugs his friends when he got excited. He lost his glasses when they were sitting on his head. He loved his sister more than anything in the world. And... he accepted Nico. For everything that he was, the baggage that he carried, the burden that he became, Jason accepted it. Jason welcomed it. He stood there with open arms and he didn't force Nico, but how in the world could Nico turn away from that smile. So Nico started to make friends.
And, gods, you can't ever just make one. With Jason came Piper and Leo, Hazel and Frank, Thalia and Reyna, Percy and Annabeth, and -- now this one was the strangest of all -- Will Solace. Nico had friends. The word scared him, for the first time in a long time, Nico wasn't alone. He was never alone. Percy and Jason refused to sit alone at meal times, so they created the table of the big three. People needed help in the infirmary, so Nico found himself there, warding off death and encouraging the medics to the best of his ability. People wanted to talk, hang out, destress after all the fighting and... they wanted Nico there. When Nico needed to hide from the world, hide from his new friends, he would go to Jason. When Nico needed to complain about that insufferable, stubborn Solace with a mouth worse than a sailor, he would go to Jason. When Nico needed a hug, he would go to Jason. Nico wasn't familiar with the word, but Jason was his best friend. His first friend. Then Jason had to leave to look for Leo. Nico couldn't feel jealous, it was selfish for him to do so. Leo was Jason's best friend. Now, with the confirmation of his life, it only made sense for Jason to want to go. Nico couldn't be jealous, he knew that.
And then Jason was gone. Truly gone. Nico could feel that much. He didn't leave cabin for a full day. Will would be wondering where he was, he knew that, but he couldn't bring himself to get out of bed. Jason was gone. Who could he tell? Percy, Annabeth- they were off at school, trying to keep their lives normal. Reyna, Frank, and Hazel had returned to Camp Jupiter. He couldn't tell them, not without solid proof. It hurt to think about their reactions to their information. And Will... Will understood loss, he'd seen it in his own hands too many times. But Jason was Nico's best friend. His first friend. And Jason was gone. Nico hates death. Ironic, a child of hades hating the very thing that defines him. Nico lost Bianca. He found Jason. And Jason brought Nico back to life. No matter how badly Nico wanted to do the same in return, he couldn't. Jason wouldn't allow it. The confirmation of his death was worse than Nico had imagined. He couldn't think. Couldn't breathe. Couldn't feel. He had thought that he was finished with these emotions after he had come to terms with Bianca's death. But they were there again. Jason was gone. Nico couldn't save him. Nico couldn't bring him back. He wasn't sure how to live.

DESPERATELY curious about the fortemps family and their opinions on Akira's new gaggle of husbands (ot4 au) so pick whichever one of them you're most comfortable with! slight preference towards Edmont but any of them work
[This is my first time ever writing Edmont so please be kind! 🙏]
The patriarch of House Fortemps had not been blind to the torch the Warrior of Light had once carried for his middle son. Indeed, before their fateful mission to the Vault, he had expected by the end of everything there might have been wedding bells. Alas, it was not to be, but Edmont never let that stop him from doing all he could to make Akira feel as if she were part of the family, as she may have been had things gone differently that day.
So the first time Akira brought home (no matter how much she seemed convinced that she was still a guest, every employee and servant and member of the house knew she was free to come and go as she pleased and her every need attended) a chosen suitor, he felt a certain protectiveness over her not unlike that he felt with his remaining sons. Not that she could not handle herself, but he was loath to see her hurt any more than she already had been.
The young man, a red headed Miqote with a look in his eye that suggested a wisdom beyond his years, was polite, if very flustered. G'raha Tia, as he learned his name was, was introduced as a historian, and a Scion, but Akira seemed to struggle with the labels, as if there was more she could say but wasn't sure how to explain it. Edmont dearly hoped the sappy looks he kept catching them shooting at each other would never fade. When they had their child, a tiny girl with Miqote ears and Auri scales and the same red hair as her parents, he was delighted to have been the first person Akira turned to for help when the usual dire stakes pulled her away.
And then, when she had once again saved the world from an unfathomable fate...she brought home more. Edmont was not wholly unfamiliar with the concept of having multiple partners, but it wasn't considered...proper by the church. However, seeing how happy she was with them...he could not begrudge her her happiness. Seeing the tension that G'raha tried to hide, he hoped only that it would indeed continue to be happiness.
He couldn't help but think Haurchefant would have liked the lavender haired one, Hythlodaeus she had introduced him as. He was easy going and friendly, taking Emmanelaine in stride and even drawing Artoirel a bit out of his shell. The other...the white haired one, Hades she'd called him, he was more withdrawn and quiet, an anxiety about him the reason for which Edmont couldn't pinpoint. There was also something strangely...striking about his features. Emmanelaine learned quick that he was not a man to pester when he tried to engage in small talk and Hades snapped waspishly at him.
But with Akira, even if he was trying to hide it... Edmont knew there was a closer bond there than was being put on display, their very positions shifting to keep each other in sight at all times. He wasn't sure what they had been through, but it was no wonder that G'raha did not protest; Edmont suspected suggesting they be parted would like suggesting the moon be parted from the star.
(Considering recent events maybe not the best comparison anymore, but he digressed.)
Edmont could not help his dis-ease - his own indiscretion had caused enough heartache for his own entire family - but seeing the peace he'd not ever seen on Akira's features...
Everything would work out. He had faith.
#ffxiv#ship: comfort and chaos#Verse: A Single Wish#oc: akira kirxaa#edmont de fortemps#post-endwalker#thanks for the ask!#this feels a bit rambly but hopefully it gives a little window in how he would feel about his very suddenly extended family#no editing we die like hades doesn't in my aus

Ghostly Reinforcements
Fandom: Trials of Apollo Rating: Teen Genre: Family/Hurt/Comfort Characters: Lee, Apollo, Diana Tarquin was mutilating and disrespecting Hades' domain. Hades decided he wasn't going to stand for it. TOApril day 13 - Curse of Eternal Youth. Twisting this prompt dramatically here until it basically means "Apollo's Dead Kids". Vague what-if scenario I've toyed with in my mind for a while, where Hades/Pluto decides he's had enough of all the undead hanging around in TTT and does something about it.
There was something about being back in the Overworld that felt wrong, for all that he had used to live there. Once upon a time, the Overworld was home, was normal, was where his soul felt settled and comfortable. Now, it wasn’t. Now his soul fidgeted, uncomfortable with the large expanse of sky above him, the sensation of the wind brushing past him, with earth below his feet. Everything felt weird and displaced.
But it made sense.
After all, he was dead, and the dead didn’t visit the Overworld. Eurydice had tried, with the help of Orpheus, but he’d failed and she’d been sent straight back to her forever home in the Underworld. No-one else had even come that close, until now.
Hades was furious about something. He didn’t know what, wasn’t privy to exactly what his god and king had been so provoked by, but he knew enough.
Lee knew that his dad needed help, and that was all he needed to know.
There was an army of them, familiar faces to him. Some of them he’d known while he was alive, several were his siblings, or his friends, people that had died both before and after him during the titan war, and whatever had gone on after that. Some of them he’d only met in Elysium, others considered heroes by the standards of the Underworld.
He was directly flanked by his siblings – Michael was almost his age, having almost closed the gap between them and dying only two months younger than the age Lee had been when he’d found himself on the bank of the Styx with the heart-wrenching knowledge that he wasn’t going to make it to adulthood after all, that his dreams had been crushed underneath a giant’s club. There were Hunters he recognised, too.
Lee had never known for certain that the red-headed girl, Phoebe, had been his sister. Not while they were still alive. She’d admitted it when he’d met her in Elysium, and it had made so much sense. She and Michael still didn’t get on – but here they were, both in the army Hades had raised.
It was a huge army, but still barely a fraction of the residents of Elysium, and it hadn’t escaped Lee’s notice that so many of them were somehow connected to Apollo. Children, lovers, other descendants – legacies, they called themselves.
Over the millennium, Apollo had made more mortal bonds than Lee would ever have been able to comprehend while he was still alive. Now that he was dead, it was one of those things that settled in the back of his mind with a quiet of course and no need to think about it further. It was simply a fact.
And now, they’d been unleashed.
It was temporary, Hades had stressed. There was a matter that required his intervention at Camp Jupiter – another of those quiet of courses that would have sent living!Lee into a headspin but now sat simply as a fact of existence – and for that intervention to occur, he was sending warriors to deal with it.
Their march was a mishmash of styles. Romans settled into cohorts, Greeks scattered into whatever groups and arrangements made sense to them. People who were neither found their own thing, too, as they all adjusted to the bizarreness that was being back in the Overworld. For some of them, it had been millennia.
Time didn’t mean anything in the Underworld, not to the dead, but Lee knew it hadn’t been too long since he’d died. The young, most-recently dead of all of them had had enough time to confirm that before he took his place near the head of the army, with the other Romans.
Camp Jupiter was burning, but that didn’t matter to the dead. They didn’t have lungs that cared about smoke, or hearts to pump oxygen around their bodies. They didn’t have bodies the way that the living did, something that instead seemed translucent under the light of the sun, even though they could interact with the Overworld, a little bit.
It took effort, but the dead didn’t know exhaustion so that didn’t matter as they advanced, falling upon the army trying to raise the Roman camp to the ground and charging through them.
They could interact enough to kill.
The living couldn’t touch them.
Defeated monsters faded to Tartarus before they could lash out, and the souls of the defeated mortals, well. Clearly Hades was keeping a close eye on things, because the souls of the slain Romans joined their ranks and threw themselves back into battle with a vengeance when death didn’t stop them.
Thanatos was whisking away the dead mortals of the Triumvirate before they had a chance to try and keep their own war going.
The reinforcements of Artemis – Diana – and her Hunters simply sealed the deal. The goddess herself disappeared deep into the heart of the city, and Thalia barely blinked as her dead sisters of silver rejoined her ranks, fitting seamlessly back into the Hunt as though they’d never left. Romans gradually slipped back into their own cohorts, and Hades’ army of the dead gradually dispersed throughout the battle until it was over.
It was the first time Lee had made it all the way through a battle, he realised with some bemusement, but being near-untouchable and already-dead was rather a cheat. The dead pulled their weight as the fighting faded to be replaced with clean-up, pulling bodies to where they needed to be and searching for cowering survivors from both sides (there were children, in the city, children that the Triumvirate had been willing to slaughter alongside the warriors).
Lee wanted to say it was an accident when he stumbled into a bookshop, but while it hadn’t been his intent he didn’t think it was a coincidence, either. The silver-gold eyes of the twelve-year-old goddess that showed nothing but expectation when he accidently met them all but confirmed that something had pushed him there.
Some things didn’t need to be thought about.
“Lee?”
His name was a broken gasp, coming from a scruffy-looking teenager that Lee had never seen before in his life and who certainly looked like he’d seen better days. Actually, the only one in the room he did recognise was Diana herself; the other girls were also strangers, to him, but at least they were also eyeing him like he was a stranger.
The younger girl was eyeing him like an enemy, and Lee distinctly hoped she wasn’t about to try and kill him for a second time.
He was more interested in the teenage boy staring at him like he’d seen, well, a ghost, and the face was unfamiliar but there was something his eyes that wasn’t.
When the boy’s knees buckled, Lee surged forwards, and caught his elbows. It took all of his focus to not drop him, and the sudden movement from the other girls – excluding Diana, who seemed content to simply watch – implied he’d startled them.
Their weapons went straight through him, and he ignored them.
“Hi, Dad,” he said, because there wasn’t anyone else the teenager could be, even if he was all wrong for Apollo.
Lee was all wrong, now, too.
“What- How-?”
“Pluto took exception to Tarquin’s encroaching upon his domain,” Diana said. “My Hunters were not your only reinforcements.”
The black girl’s shoulders slumped in relief, and Lee realised there was something familiar about her, too. Not her face – he had never met the girl before, in either his life or his afterlife – but her soul.
“Father couldn’t have given me a warning?” she wondered, clicking the familiarity into place, because she felt like Underworld. Not the same way the dead did, but like their Lord did.
Lee fell to his knees, too, lowering his father the rest of the way down in the process. “My Lady,” fell out from his mouth without his control, because she was still living but her father was his Lord, and it was ingrained.
She looked flustered, and he felt a little bad about that.
“So what, you’re another zombie but on Apollo’s side?” the other girl, the one that looked a similar age to Diana but was probably actually that age asked. She sounded like she was trying to be dismissive, but Lee had spent years with Michael and still had eternity to go with his prickly younger brother. If she genuinely didn’t care, he would eat his arrows.
“I’m dead, not undead,” he corrected, and hated how Apollo flinched when he said it. “But yes. I was on Dad’s side when I was living, and I’ll stay on his side now.”
“Unless that’s overridden by Pluto,” Diana reminded him, and it was Lee’s turn to flinch, because it was true – Hades was his god, now, and obeying him was in his being just the same kneeling for his daughter was.
Being dead was a freedom that only lasted as long as his god decreed, even for souls in Elysium.
Apollo burst into tears.
Lee had to concentrate hard, as his father wrapped him up in a solid embrace, to make sure they didn’t slip through each other. The dead and the living were not meant to interact, not like this, and Apollo wasn’t quite a god.
The glimmer was there, deep inside him – so deep that Lee couldn’t see it, only knew it was there because if it wasn’t then no amount of Lee’s concentrating would have let the hug work – but he was overwhelmingly human and that made it hard to touch.
But not even the gods came into Elysium, so this was still more than Lee had had since he’d died.
Diana permitted the reunion for a few moments, before heading for the door. “This place still smells of burnt Cyclops,” she said, and swept out, her wolves – which Lee had barely noticed until they brushed past him – following.
“C’mon,” the younger girl said. “Let’s go, dummy.”
Lee didn’t like anyone calling his dad dummy, but Apollo’s next sob almost sounded like a chuckle, and Lee knew he didn’t know enough about any of this to judge.
“How long are you here?” his dad asked as he pulled himself to his feet – somewhat aided by the impatient tugging of the girl.
Lee shrugged. “Until Hades recalls us,” he assumed, and Apollo’s head snapped around as fast as a giant’s club falling into a skull.
“Us?”
Lee gave him a gentle smile. “Yeah,” he said. “Us.”
He wasn’t surprised when Apollo bolted for the door, although he was surprised enough at the teenage body trying to grab him in the process that he didn’t manage to let the contact stick. Fresh tears welled up in Apollo’s eyes as his arm passed straight through him, and Lee immediately lurched forwards to grab his wrist.
“Sorry,” he said as they walked out, the two girls following closely behind them. Ahead, Diana was waiting in the street, arms crossed. “I have to focus.”
“It- it’s okay,” Apollo replied, his voice shaking in a way that said it wasn’t okay at all, but there was nothing Lee could do about it.
All he could do was stick close to Apollo as they headed for where the survivors – and the dead – were cleaning up – and savour the unexpected chance to interact with his dad one more time.

I've been re-listening to Brandy's Cinderella and I am, unfortunately, incredibly weak for the Cinderella story now that I'm older and done being an edgy teenager at all times. Now that I am an adult who is drinking and mildly tipsy, I can combine my favorite current thing (HADES 2) with my favorite princess trope right now (CINDERLLA)
So theres the Hypnos version and the Melione version. Honestly, I'm a bit more taken by the Mel version right now because reverse love stories just move me horribly. So that'll be the focus.
WaxWitch under the cut, no spoilers for Hades 2 other than characters who appear and possible canon interactions compared to this au. Long post WOOP WOOP...
So obviously Cinderella in this au is Icarus and The Prince, now Princess, is Melione. Icarus wouldn't really be the step child under the wicked step mother but just because I'm iffy on the actual lore of the myth and his canon relationship with his father during life in the game, I'll be taking to liberty to say it wasn't great and he very desperately wants to get out of his house and 'spread his wings', so to speak (crowd loudly cheers because I said the thing).
Anyway so similar to the plot of the film, Melione is the princess and daughter of the king and queen. This could be a simple, "Mom, Dad and Brother are back and life is good" set up or "Mel is all that's left of the royal line with her tutor/ god parent turned Adoptive mother as queen" either works, doesn't reeally make a difference. whatever,
So they meet in the main square and Melione is instantly taken by the tinkering boy who dropped his basket of apples or whatever he was doing. They get to talking and eventually one of them has to go but they promise to meet again.
So they do. Again and again and again. For years they continue meeting once a week, every week, regardless of everything else. Melione finds someone soft and kind, someone with a mind that never stops moving and expects nothing from her in terms of revenge or strength. She finds someone painfully mundane and it's refreshing, at first, to be around someone so simple. As they grow together she wishes her dearest Icarus could have more, could have everything this world has to offer. Everything he deserves and more.
Icarus is instantly in love with her. First because the pretty young princess is talking to his pitiful self, both of them the tender age of 15 with nothing to show for it but difficult personalities and a need to prove something, but his love for her just grows and grows with each passing day. He pushes himself to create more and more to amuse Melione with little bobbles and simple wooden figures, then to help Melione ease the day to day humdrum of her classes with paper weights and dynamic knife sheathes, then to aid with her trainings then to help rest her mind. He loves how she laughs and how humble she is even though she of all people need not be humble. How she insists on cleanliness and everything being in its rightful place. How she's such an ass about gardening and how specific soil must be and how seeds are placed. She has a mole on her wrist and she always blushes and groans when her aid called her 'minnow'. How she would have these moments of contemplation, of grief and mourning for a family she never knew. Everything about her entranced him and it somehow just got worse with each years they knew each other. And with that longing came the gap between them widening. Eventually her royal training lessons began, to prepare her to take the throne one day, and that only solidified the distance between them. Maybe that's why things went wrong.
Shit hit the fan during their last day together. He flew too close to the sun with one project, inviting on strengthening himself with her help. Maybe he knew, even then, that he was too weak to be hers. Maybe he was just a headstrong child. Doesn't really matter either way. She got hurt, lost and arm, and he made himself scarce. It was pretty cut and dry (ha) by that point.
A few years later and Melione is at an age to find a consort. Continue the line. No one catches her eye, no one can after the one boy who had her heart left her without even a final goodbye.
So her mother plans a ball to find her a consort. Any and all eligible youth in the kingdom are invited. It's a massive affair. Icarus wasn't going to go, how could he in his ratty ruined inventor's clothes and scorned name. Why, the guards would probably pierce him dead the moment he walked up to the steps of the palace. Rightfully so, of course, but he can't shake this feeling that he needs to go. To see her again.
That's when his fairy god mother appears, [I am not at all picky about who, I think Aphrodite because LOVE idk, but anything works] and she convinces him to go even though he thought it was impossible. He's dressed to the nines, perfectly clean and gorgeous. He barely recognizes himself without the grease one his clothes and bags under his eyes. He rides a wax carriage, and is warned that by 12 everything made for him will melt, leaving him bare, wanting and painfully himself. He sets off at once.
Somehow, Melione doesn't either. A few years and a change of clothes does a lot clearly. But the moment they lock eyes as he comes down the stairs, clad in blue and glass slippers she's entranced. They dance and dance and almost struggle to share words because they're too busy basking in each other's company. It's just so easy. Melione hasn't felt ease like this since... well.
After hours together they escape to the garden, to enraptured with the other to allow another suitor to steal a glance, let alone a dance. They begin talking about their lives and what they want from this ball, and they get close as they speak in hushed whispers between them. Eventually the moment gets too tender, too sweet and they kiss, lulled into each other. Its heavenly.
But, it's late. Too late, even. Icarus can't bare to say who he is and Melione can't bare to let him go. Time, unfortunately, cares for neither. With a final kiss Icarus leaves and Melione is left watching as he runs away, leaving nothing but a single shoe on the steps...

Helpless part 74, I'm sorry I’ve been so inconsistent
Jason was sat on the roof of the big house, his head pounded with the pain that had become so common after the war, still he ignored it and drank more of the beer that he'd found. Was it illegal? Sure, but demigods tended to not follow the law too well. He watched the stars, ticking off all the constellations he saw mentally until he found leo, he just stared for who knows how long thinking of the son of Hephaestus. Maybe it wasn't the best life but for a demigod this was as good as it would get, alone and drunk on a rooftop thinking of you're lover while the world fell apart around you, the war may be over but that meant just about nothing. Still the son of Jupiter had tuned out everything around him, things seemed to be looking up, well as much as they could when your best friend is in a coma. He'd gotten a boyfriend, he'd actually talked to someone about camp Jupiter, hell he'd even enrolled in a school, even though he wasn't certain he would live long enough to go. He took another sip before he saw Reyna running, possibly in tears. Something had to have happened but his brain couldn't come up with any sort of answer,
"Reyna! What happened? Are you okay?" He didn't get an answer, but heard the sound of footsteps behind him, turning around he saw the preator of Rome sit down next to him.
"Your fucking sister asked me out." Her head was screaming, she knew it was wrong, it was disgusting. Still in her mind she saw the girls electric blue eyes and wished she could say yes, she told that part to shut up, it was gross, it was... well it was fucking illegal.
"What did you say?"
"NO! Obviously?! I'm not a dyke like her."
"What the fuck did you say?"
"I said I'm not a fucking dyke."
"Don't use that word again, don't call my sister that again or else I'll make you wish you were dead."
"What is wrong with you Jason? It's disgusting."
"Does Nico disgust you then?" She'd never thought twice about accepting the son of Hades, he'd been like her younger brother; but they all said it was bad, every Roman she'd grown up with had said that.
"N-no, of course not."
"What about me? Am I a little faggot that should be hung?" She went still, he couldn't be, but, fuck. She didn't know what she thought anymore, if he hated her she couldn't live with herself. She couldn't say a word, it was as if she'd been frozen in place, she tried to speak but no words would come, she needed to apologise but not a single part of her knew how. "FUCKING ANSWER ME REYNA!"
"No! I'm sorry, I'm really fucking sorry."
"But you're not are you? You're not sorry about every person you watched get hung, you're not sorry about the people you hurt after trying to keep that rule, you're not sorry about everything that happened in camp and I know you're not fucking sorry about my sister."
"I am, I am now, Jason please, don't hate me."
"Why? Why does it matter to you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Aren't I just like the rest of the people you would have killed if you'd had the chance?"
"You're my best friend."
"So does that mean you don't care that I'm gay? Is it only wrong when it's someone you don't like?"
"It's- just- it's-" It was wrong because that what they had all told her, her father, Circe, the pirates and camp.
"You don't even know, Reyna tell me what's so wrong about it?"
"It's all I've ever been told! I don't know! I don't have an answer!" He put his arms around her, pulling her closer to himself. She could change, she was a good person, she had to be.
"You remember the hangings? Every day I was scared it would happen to me, I worked myself to death. I hated myself, but I refused to be seen as weak. I wanted to tell you, hundreds of times I had been so close but I never did, even after we changed the rules, I was too scared. I guess I was right for that, but I won't let anyone else go through it."
"I'm sorry, for everything. For giving you a hard time when you changed the rule, for what I've said... just for everything."
"Sorry doesn't cut it, you of all people should know that and there are much more important people to apologise to."
"I'll go and find Thalia."
"In the morning, she would kill you on sight." An awkward silence fell between them, neither of them daring to speak after what had just been said, both lost in thoughts.
"How long have you known you were...?" Finally she spoke unable to hold her tongue any longer,
"Since I was twelve." As much as she wished he'd trusted her she knew it was better she hadn't, she hated herself for that.
"I'm sor-"
"What's done is done Reyna, just make sure the campers have an easier time now than before."
"You have my word; I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing before."

Jason Grace was the bastard son of King Jupiter, which was far from being an impactful information. The King was known for his affairs and the amount of bastard children that came from them. The only unusual thing about the situation would be how Queen Juno dealt with the situation. She liked to be in charge of all of them. The boys became guards. The girls cleaners. All of them being supervised by the Queen constantly, working in the palace. She had trusted people in charge of them, reports were sent weekly. They could amount to no problem with the Queen herself controlling them.
It was because of this situation that Jason found himself in the Queen’s presence. He was a kid. Maybe twelve. Maybe younger. He had barely seen the Queen throughout his life. He had seen his father even less times. This was all to say that the kid knew something was wrong, he just had no idea what.
Jason was standing straight, not looking directly at the Queen. He hadn’t received enough instruction on how to behave. What if he made her annoyed and she asked to decapitate him? Could she do that?
“Your performance has been unsatisfactory.”
The Queen looked at Jason like she expected an answer. So the boy gave her one.
“I.. I don’t understand, Your Majesty. I’m as good as every other boy.”
“Exactly. You need to be better. No one can think the bastard children are being favored. This situation is already messy, don’t make it worse.”
The Queen waved her hand. Jason should go. How could he do what the Queen asked?
…
Nico di Angelo was the son of Hades. There weren’t many of them. The King loved his spouse dearly and it was very rare for any woman to catch his attention enough to be made concubine. Maria di Angelo was one of these rare women. Nico was one of the rare children. Persephone, Hades’ favorite woman, treated the situation with grace. She made sure all children received the same education and treatment, it didn’t matter who the mother was. Some people said she treated the combine’s kids like hers out of kindness and generosity. Others said she was only aware that the King wouldn’t see any sort of discrimination with good eyes. In the end the reasons didn’t matter, not to Nico anyway.
When a little boy he was allowed to be as hyperactive and enthusiastic as he wished. After the death of his mother and sister he was allowed to be as quiet and alone as he wished.
…
Some years later, Jason Grace was summoned to the Queen's chamber again. He was taller, bigger, stronger. No one could call him a child, but he was still a boy. He couldn't be more than 17 years old.
It was the second time Jason would have a conversation with the Queen. He was analysing his behavior in the past months, had he committed a great mistake? Was it a problem with his performance again? Someone heard that one time he complained about his father?
Regardless of all that, Jason was a boy with a mission. He would ask the Queen about his mother.
The Queen stopped working with her papers when Jason entered the room.
"You must be aware that Hades' ambassador is coming." Jason nodded. "He will bring his own personal guards, but whenever he leaves the palace he will have our guards to protect him. You'll be one of them. I believe I don't need to tell you how important this is."
"I'll do my best, Your Majesty."
The Queen seemed satisfied and went back to her paperwork without waiting for Jason to leave. The boy took a deep breath.
"Your Majesty, I do not mean to bother, but I was wondering if you could tell me about my mother."
"What about her?"
"You keep track of all the King's lovers, right? I wish to know what happened to her."
"Didn't your sister tell you? She died less than three years after you left."
Jason wasn't sure what to do with what the Queen had told her.
"I met her. You don't find many people who are not only aware of their shortcomings, but also honest about them. I admired her for that."
If you asked later, not that you'd know about it, but if you did Jason wouldn't know how to explain why he did what he did. But he'd tell you he was satisfied with the results.
"Aren't you like this, Your Majesty?"
The Queen blinked. She looked more amused than annoyed. Maybe Jason was lucky, maybe the Queen wasn't so bad.
"I'm not allowed to make mistakes. This whole deal with you and the other bastards… Sometimes I think that if one of you steps out of line, Jupiter will divorce me. I know in some moments it looks like I want to punish you all, and I'm gonna be honest sometimes I do, however in the end I just want to keep it up together."
…
The ambassador was handsome or so would Jason tell his sister. He had black hair that fell to his shoulders when free, olive skin, deep brown eyes, slim figure.
…
On his visit to Olympus, one guard caught Nico's attention. Hazel, his sister, convinced him to describe the guy to her so she could draw him. Nico spent an embarrassing amount of time starting the ready drawing.
…
Hazel loved horses, she would ride them as much as she could. Sometimes Nico would go with her. It was in one of those moments that Nico told the news to Hazel.
"Father wants me to become a permanent ambassador. He said I looked happier after the trip."
"Does he know about the guard?"
"He wasn't…. I didn't…"
"I'm just kidding Nico. I do think traveling to new places would be good for you. Would you take me to some of your trips?"
"Of course, as long as you want and Father allows, I'll be more than glad to have you with me."
…
Whenever Nico went to Olympus, which happened once every couple of months, Jason would be assigned to guard him. Some years have passed, they were both men now and Jason had guarded a lot of information about the ambassador. He enjoyed learning about the differences in cultures, didn't talk much until he did, he enjoyed playing games, silent places, liked listening to music more than going to the theater, had a specific taste in clothes, adored his sister, was good at sword play and could be really threatening.
Nico, on the other hand, knew nothing about the knight. He liked to imagine what the guard did on his spare time.
…
There was an attack. Long short story, they ended up locked in a room together in silence. For hours. Until Nico couldn't deal with it anymore.
"Can we please talk?"
"I'm sorry, sir, but this could distract me and endanger your life."
The guard wasn't even looking in Nico's direction.
"Please, I'm going crazy."
With a sigh, the guard nodded. Nico was surprised it didn't take any longer to convince him.
"What do you want to talk about, sir?"
"I don't know, anything. What is your name? What do you do in your spare time? What do you like? What do you dislike?"
"My name is Jason Grace. I like to read, tragedies are my favorites. I enjoy when we go to work on some construction, it makes me feel helpful. I like the rain. I don't like swimming."
"You did answer them all."
"I did as you asked."
Without knowing, Jason killed the opportunity to continue the conversation with the ambassador. Nico didn't want to feel like he forced Jason to do anything. So the silence came back.
…
On the next visit, Jason fought with Nico daily. He was the best sword fighter and therefore was chosen as Nico's partner when the man showed desire to train his skills. On those days they talked. Both men thought about the conversations all the months they spent away.
…
The next time Nico went to Olympus, the Queen asked to talk to him privately. He never told anyone about it. The effects of it were felt regardless. The Queen started playing matchmaker and the result was Nico and Jason spending more time together.
…
It wasn't a normal relationship and maybe it would never be. But it made both of them happy.

Day Eleven: Once Bitten, Twice Shy
Hades had loved once before.
She’d come into his life like summer rain and autumn sunsets, bubbling over with an infectious energy that swept him up and carried him beyond what he’d thought possible. She was power, and beauty, and laughter, and she was his, she was his, she was his. And he was hers in return, completely and irrevocably, his soul tied to hers in ways that defied all reason so he no longer wondered where he began and ended; it was only her, ever her, the two of them together and facing the world even as it threatened ruin.
Until she was gone.
Until she left him, and he stood alone in ashes.
He would never love again.
—
Zenos had loved once before.
While he couldn’t be certain what love felt like, he knew bliss, and reason, and that was close enough for him to grasp tight, squeezing the sensation until he could compress it in his palm, hard as stone and twice as indestructible.
The elation he’d felt – that she’d given him – was something that couldn’t be replicated. He felt it in every blow dealt, in every drop of blood spilled. Finally, giving way to her base instincts, he’d seen the truth behind her eyes, and had bathed in it blissfully. Her rage, her indignation, her utterly beautiful broken heart; she bared it all to him in that moment, and he wanted nothing less than to take it from her once more, to share that adrenaline rush that came only with combat, and death.
Without her, life was once more meaningless.
He would never love again.
—
The Exarch had loved once before.
She was young, but he was younger, and his infatuation had only grown once she was gone. He remembered a hero, strong and true, with a reservation behind her eyes that he felt a desperate, deeply-embedded need to unravel. The mystery of her haunted him through the years, decades beyond their meeting, and far longer than he ever could have anticipated. He devoured stories about her, frantic for any mention of her name, or her titles, no matter how fragmented the document, or how badly passed-down the story. She consumed his thoughts, and so he consumed her story, taking her name and making it sacred, as it should have been from the start.
When he arrived on the First, he kept his eyes hidden, refusing to meet the gaze of anyone who wasn’t her – his long-awaited, storied hero, finally brought back to him across time and space, no matter the cost.
He’d heard talk about his romantic interests, but they were nothing. He would wait, and when the time was right, he would call her to his side.
He would never love again.
—
She came back wrong, and Emet-Selch hated her for it.
Her soul was perfect, that much was plain to see. It was what it had arrived in that he held issue with; this woman who dared to claim her own individuality over that of his beloved, who had the audacity to separate herself from who she was, no matter how hard she fought. She looked at him with those piercing eyes, and he told himself he felt nothing. She wept, alone in her room and alone in her burdens, and as he watched from the shadows he told himself he felt nothing.
She faced him, naked sword in hand, bound together with the strength of his Azem and her own might combined, and felled him in a movement that he thought he’d been waiting for for a long, long time.
Then he was gone, but the memory of her stayed.
And when the time came that she needed him, desperately, he would come.
He would never love again.
But he loved her anyway.
—
Zenos came back wrong, and she hated him for it.
Her hatred fueled him, serving only as coals to flame the fire of his determination. She loathed him with a passion that kindled his own, his very own mirror working in tandem to him even as she denied their bond. She consumed his every thought, waking and nightmare and anywhere in between, her very essence calling out to him to reunite once more in that moment of unity and life that no other living creatures could possibly experience together.
He allowed the presence of the Ascian, and he gathered aether, and he honed his blade for her supple flesh, and he waited.
Somewhere along the way, he’d identified that what he felt wasn’t love. Love, as an emotion, was fragile and meaningless, and far beneath any descriptor of what he was offering his hero in exchange for his devotion to her in combat. Love, after all, wasn’t something he cared to experience.
And yet it was still the only word that seemed to fit.
He would never love again.
But he loved her anyway.
—
When G’raha Tia returned to the Source, he began to come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t the only one who was different.
He’d spent so many centuries poring over his hero’s name that somewhere along the way he’d turned her into something mythical, even beyond what she’d managed on her own. When he’d summoned her to the First, she wasn’t the young adventurer he’d explored the Crystal Tower with in his youth. Something had irrevocably changed in her, something that couldn’t be defined in history books.
Or maybe he hadn’t been looking hard enough the first time.
With the sensation of carefully closing away a precious relic, or a childhood security, he tucked away his affections for the Warrior of Light, somewhere alongside his Exarch cowl and his penchant for theatrics. The girl he loved no longer existed; instead, there was a woman who had fought for worlds, with the weight of millions on her back, and had won. And that, too, was worthy of loving, even if it wasn’t a fraction of what he’d known before.
He would never love again.
But he loved her anyway.
—
Aymeric hadn’t understood love.
Through his life, he’d encountered facets of it, like reflective shards of a precious jewel. His adoptive parents, his comrades in the Holy See, the goddess Halone, the people of Ishgard, the rough beauty of Coerthas itself. He’d tried to understand it, an affection-starved child growing into an equally starved man, spending a lifetime finally understanding that there were certain things that some people weren’t entitled to have. Love, it seemed, was only for the worthy.
And then she’d walked into his life, and turned everything he thought he knew asunder.
She was quiet, and she was strong. She was bright, and she was stubborn. She was the break of sunlight over the mountains, the shaft of moonlight filtering through stained glass, the wild beauty of the distant pines, the warm comfort of a private hearth. She was the air he breathed, the standard he held himself against to make himself worthy of her. She held as many walls around her heart as he did, and she was braver than anyone he’d ever known, because she lowered them for him, even through her sharp, bracing fear, that she then allowed him to hold in his hands, trusting him not to let them loose.
Aymeric didn’t understand love, any more than any man.
But what he had, he would give to her, and give to her, and give to her, to make up for all that she was starved of. And he would expect nothing in return.
He loved her, and he would never love again.
He would simply love better, every day that she breathed.

Tear you apart- 141 +König, Keegan, Graves
Fem!Reader, Siren Au
This is based on a request:
For context:
You have your second life hidden from those at base, thankfully your kind has evolved over the years and you can shape shift into a human. However your powers remain. The ability of you to attract anyone whether it is sexually or romantically is strong. For example ever since you got to work with the task force, you've noticed how they are all enchanted by your beauty. How you always call to them even when you don't mean to. Unlike the descriptions of sirens you were more on the kinder side than most, you only used your powers to help your team, family and friends. You never harmed anyone unless needed to.
After all, every man that ever describe you hade one notorious name at hand: she was a temptress, a jezebel if you please.
These have been their personal reactions to such abilities:
Price:
A week after he met you, you lured him in.
You were singing, thinking nothing of it, when he walked in he was in trance.
He didn't talk, his eyes glistened and as you smiled at him thinking he needed something, he got closer to you.
His pupils dilated once he touched your skin
"price?"
"You..are the most beautiful woman ive ever seen!" he was in awe, whilst you were seriously creeped out by him.
Then it hit and you looked deep in his eyes, "go back to your office."
But he didn't listen, the longer he heard your voice the longer he was bewitched and he wanted to remain by your side.
So you waited and waited, soon he was out of trance, confused and lost.
Gaz:
One time by accident you had to lie to him. He had asked about your life outside of the military, but his questions were very concerning, he was onto you.
So you sat him down, your voice calm, "my life is a mystery, I know." your lips close to his ears,
His eyes stared at yours, a slight glisten appeared on them.
"But what matters is you, isn't that right?" He was speechless just nodding and smiling
"Good, how about we don't ask about me and let's only think about work and other stuff yeah?" Your eyes now on his,
He leaned in, "tsk tsk, it'll be no good if we kiss" you shook your head,
By the morning he was out of trance, but everywhere you went he would follow.
Always willing to protect you, he was now a devoted soldier to you and your needs.
Keegan:
He was always quite before you showed up on base
Always keeping to himself, but soon when he heard you laugh and talk, he was soon being seduced by you
One time when he saw how the sun shone on your soft skin, he approached you.
"You are beautiful." His hands reached out to you.
You knew was what going on, so you grabbed his hand and let him to you room.
"don't do anything stupid, you hear me sergeant?"
He nods, but is dumbfounded by your beauty. He looks at you with great love.
You tried your best, but he too followed your around ever since, and if it were to your cruel fellow siren, he'd been dead the minute he approached you.
Soap:
This man had heard about sirens his whole life, but never did he think they were true, so he never took precautions.
And unfortunately he too was bewitched by your singing. That particular day you felt home sick and started singing a melody that had been previously used to harm sailors.
Your sweet melodic voice called to him, fortunately he only stared at you, never did he look away.
His lazy smile plastered all over his face, "I'm all yours." he repeated over and over.
You tried shushing him, and then a soldier came near you, Soap went feral, the poor soldier ran away and you held soap in your arms.
His head soon was placed on your chest. You hummed and he calmed down. "Stay near but don't you dare fight." you demanded.
His hands wrapped around your waist, this was the same trick your grandmother used on many men, she too was one of the kind sirens back home.
The same situation happened over and over, and you knew how to tame his needs to kill for you. Just a sweet hum and he was fine.
Philip Graves:
This man was the first victim to fall for your beauty.
He never stopped talking about you to others when he was away
He was the one of the dangerous ones from all of the other men that fell into your temptations.
The first time that he fell victim to your beauty was a year ago, the moon light shined just right on your skin, and his eyes glistened the second he met yours. He walked up to you.
His hands wandered around your face, he was enamored.
And to no prevail he was going to stay your most loyal soldier.
Like Soap, you had to hum his killing instincts away. Always near him not for your own safety but for his and those who got close to you
There have been multiple occasions where you have had shadow company hide bodies, and many more times where have had to tie him up, just to keep other safe.
Ghost:
This man was a fool when it came to your enchanting looks.
As you watched the other men crumble in your presence you wanted him to do the same.
It was cruel but this would be the only way to keep him safe from Graves and Soap.
But after failed plans you gave up, until one day while at the field.
You really did think that you were dying, and as a tradition, imposed by relatives you started to sing the melody you had been taught was only meant for a sirens death.
He went through extreme measures to keep you safe, "I'm here." he said covered in blood.
You later learned that Graves was no longer your most loyal and dangerous solider, it was Ghost.
When you sing the song of death, your devoted slaves will back away and by instincts will look kill those that are a threat to you, they won't be harmed when you try healing. So be smart when choosing.
König:
He was your favorite, his gentleness and sweet charm attracted you to him.
But it was your beauty and voice that had made him reach out to you.
It all started when you were humming, he waited outside and when soap walked out, you saw the same glisten in his eyes.
"You called?" his soft sweet voice sending shivers down your spine.
You never wanted him to fall in the traps of your charms
"Please..no you too!" he was too good for you, but here he was a month later, holding a mans head on his hands. The same man that disrespected you minutes before.
"Only for you." he held your hand and walked you out of the bar,
And as time progressed his actions always balanced eachother out, he was always doing kind actions that would make your military job easier, and there were times where you also had to tame him.
Humming a tune as his soft sniffles left his mouth, "you are mad right?" "never" your hands combing his hair.
-----
It's only just a crush, it'll go away It's just like all the others it'll go away Or maybe this is danger and he just don't know You pray it all away but it continues to grow
