alexia + león!r's secret relationship comes to light no warnings! enjoy 🫶🏻
-------
“Ale!” You shouted, scrolling frantically through your phone, through photo after photo of you and Alexia at the beach the other day. They all bordered on too friendly, or at least they seemed that way to you. The panic in your tone was clear, and Alexia felt her stomach drop in the bedroom. She’d been putting away some laundry when you’d shouted for her, but she was running towards you without a second thought.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt?” she asked, sliding in her socks on the hardwood floor slightly as she made it into the living room. You looked okay, physically, although your face was contorted with anxiety and fear.
Wordlessly, you held your phone out towards her. Alexia crossed the room in two long strides, grabbing the phone and beginning to scroll. “Oh.” She said.
And if you had been anxious before, it was nothing compared to how you felt now. Was she upset with you? The beach had been your idea, your terrible, terrible idea. Alexia looked upset, and your thoughts began to spiral further. Did she not want anyone to know about your relationship for more reasons than just being afraid of your sister? Was she really not as into you as you thought and going public would be a mess that wasn’t worth it? Did she really even love you?
“Amor?” Alexia said. You looked up at her, seeing her brows furrowed as she gazed down at you. You realized she had said your name a few times, but you’d been too lost in your own head to notice. “Talk to me.” Her voice was gentle as she took a seat next to you, dropping your phone onto the sofa and taking your hand in hers.
Alexia knew how you could be, and the best thing she could do for you when you got anxious was just listen. Sometimes you could talk yourself down, and other times she’d do it for you, but having her listen without judgment always seemed to help, at least a little bit.
“Are you upset about the photos?” You asked, instead of listing out every insecurity that had just popped into your head. Alexia did not know how deeply unworthy of her you felt, and she never would if you could help it.
Your girlfriend thought for a minute. “Not upset about the photos. I am… upset because you are upset.”
“You aren’t mad that I made us go to the beach?”
“Amor, you did not make us do anything. We just went to the beach. We are allowed to do that. I am upset that you are so anxious, I am not upset with you.”
“People are going to see these, Alexia.”
“I know that. We’ll deal with it, however you want.”
You chewed on your lip for a minute. “And if I wanted to tell people? About us?” You asked, voice small and hesitant. Alexia felt her heart melt as she gently cupped your cheek, tilting your face to look at her.
“Then we’d tell people. If that is what you want, that is what we will do. I understand why we are keeping it to ourselves, but I would also be very happy for everyone to know that you are mine.”
“Really?”
“Really. I just want you to be happy. That is all I want, and all I need. You, with a beautiful smile on your face.” Alexia whispered, leaning in and very softly pressing a kiss to your lips.
You were a puddle of mush on the sofa at this point, tucking your face into Alexia’s neck and taking a few calming breaths. She held you carefully, as she always did incredibly content to sit with you until you felt better. If Mapi killed her when she found out, oh well. At least she’d gotten a whole year with you first.
-------
“Hermanita, I am just saying, I can find you a date. It’s been so long since you’ve gone out with anyone.” Mapi was practically shouting, even though the volume in the club wasn’t very loud. She was excited, though, as she always was when she talked about your love life. Your sister was very famous for setting you up with girls, and once you got to know them more, decided they weren’t good enough for you. Which was part of the reason, you and Alexia had yet to tell your sister this was going on.
“No, Mapi.” You said for what felt like the hundredth time, rolling your eyes good naturedly, even as you felt Alexia’s hand grip onto your upper thigh under the table. You peeked at her out of the corner of your eye. Her jaw was set tightly, and you could feel the jealousy coming off her in waves at even the mention of you going on a date with someone else. Mapi was too caught up in listing off people she could set you up with to notice.
Alexia and you were both very tense. Ever since the pictures of you both at the beach had been released, you’d been walking on eggshells around your teammates, wanting to give them nothing that could lead them to believe you were anything more than friends. You’d decided to tell, yes. But you didn’t want people finding out through the pictures, or through walking in on you and Alexia making out in the showers after training. You’d been lucky, so far. No one had brought them up. And so, you hadn’t really thought anyone had taken the leaked pictures seriously. Your teammates definitely hadn’t, but it appeared that some of the fans had. Some of Alexia’s fans, specifically.
This became clear when one of the girls who had been practically glaring at you across the bar all night finally made her approach. Alexia had left your side for just a minute to get you water, always one to push hydration. Your teammates were scattered throughout the bar, and Ingrid and Mapi were only a couple feet away, talking quietly to each other, small smiles on both of their faces.
The girl was by your side very suddenly, almost startling you. She was clearly drunk, but the boldness and anger with which she spoke still shocked you.
“I can’t believe Alexia Putellas would date you. You are not good enough for her. She should be with Jenni, or someone prettier than you. You’re wasting her time.” She slurred, each word feeling like a stab to your already very insecure heart.
You stepped away from her, hearing Pina come to your defense from somewhere next to you, telling the girl to fuck off. Turning around, you almost ran directly into your sister, who had risen along with her girlfriend at the strange girl’s outburst. Her face was contorted with confusion, clearly having heard what the fan had to say. Your reaction spoke volumes, the way your eyes were flooded with tears, and your chest was already beginning to rise and fall rapidly.
It was true, Mapi realized. In the time it took her to come to that conclusion, you were off, sprinting towards the bathroom. They were single bathrooms, thank god, and you made it inside quickly, not bothering to lock the door behind you.
She was right. That girl was right. How could you ever think you were good enough for Alexia. Sweet, beautiful, perfect Alexia. The best person you’d ever known.
It was one of the worst panic attacks you’d had in years, and by the time Mapi slipped in through the bathroom door, you were pretty far gone, only able to hear a faint ringing sound, only able to claw desperately at your chest.
“Hermana, hermana, breathe, you are okay,” Mapi tried, reaching to grab your hand. You only wheezed in response, and Mapi realized you weren’t hearing her. Your sister looked around rather helplessly, her unspoken plea for help being answered almost instantly.
The door opened and in came Ingrid, closely followed by a very frantic Alexia. As soon as the captain spotted you, though, her attention was stolen, no longer thinking about the implications of everyone finding out about your relationship. She was at your side on the filthy floor of the bathroom within a second, carefully grabbing your face in between her hands, and tilting it up towards her.
“I am here, mi amor, I am right here. You have to breathe, cariño, let yourself breathe.”
Alexia, too, realized you weren’t really hearing anything she had to say, so she switched tactics, wrapping her arms around you and pulling you in until your head was resting against her chest. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Ingrid tugging a resistant Mapi out the door of the bathroom, but Alexia only cared for you in that moment.
“I have you, my beautiful girl. I love you, more than anything. Everything is okay. You are safe.”
You managed to come back into yourself, your girlfriend’s voice in your ear the most comforting thing you’d ever heard. You looked up at her, tugging her as close to you as possible, needing to feel more of her. “Ale” you whimpered, watching her face crumble at the sound of her name.
Alexia hated seeing you like this. “Mi preciosa.” She soothed. “I love you, my girl, I love you so much. You are okay.”
Your insecurities quieted for a moment, in favor of something else flooding your mind. Mapi knew. Mapi knew. That her little sister was dating her best friend. You’d seen it on her face, when you turned around to flee the scene. She’d known.
You’d talked about telling Mapi, yes, but now that she knew… you were terrified. What if she was upset? What if it ruined your relationship with your sister, or her relationship with her best friend? What if she made Alexia break up with you?
Your girlfriend could tell very easily that you were spiraling, barely having calmed down in the first place.
“Hey, come back to me. I’m right here, mi amor. Tell me what you’re thinking.” Alexia whispered, her face so close to yours that all you could really see were her eyes, squinted with worry.
You gripped onto her shirt tightly with both your hands. “Mapi knows,” you told her, ridiculously afraid of her reaction.
Alexia nodded slowly. “Ingrid told me when she came and got me. It’s okay, mi amor. We will deal with it.”
“But what if-”
“No what if’s. Tell the what ifs to go away. Just focus on calming down.” Alexia insisted, pressing a light kiss to your cheek. “Can you do that for me?”
You nodded shakily. “Yeah. Just… stay here?”
“I’m not going anywhere.” She promised, tightening her arms around you. “I’m staying right here, with you.”
-------
Alexia got you up once you’d calmed down further, protectively wrapping an arm around your shoulders, and headed for the exit. As soon as you were both out of the bathroom, though, you were met with the sight of your sister pacing very aggressively around the little hallway just outside the door. Her head snapped up when the door opened, and Ingrid had to hold on to the back of her shirt to stop her from lunging at you, and pulling you into a hug.
She squirmed in Ingrid’s grasp, huffing impatiently, all the while staring daggers at you. You searched her gaze for anger, but you only saw worry.
“María,” Alexia began, pulling you in closer to her side. Mapi didn’t appreciate that, Alexia acting like you needed to be protected from her, and her face turned cloudy.
“No. Alexia. No. How long has this been going on?” Mapi asked, her teeth gritted in a sudden flare of anger. You didn’t deserve to be kept a secret, and that’s exactly what Alexia had done to you.
“María, amiga, I understand you have questions, I do, but your sister is really shaken up, and I’d like to take her home. She gets overstimulated after panic attacks, she shouldn’t be in here.”
Mapi floundered for a minute, filled only with concern for you, tucked away against Alexia’s side.
“María, I just want to go home. We can talk tomorrow.” You said, your voice stuttering over your words. You were still anxious, still shaking, and all you wanted was to go home with your girlfriend, where it was quiet and safe and you could be entirely surrounded by Alexia.
Ingrid squeezed your sister’s hand, and Mapi nodded to herself. “Okay, yeah. Okay hermana. I love you. Take care of her, please, Ale.”
“Of course. I love her, María. I’ve got her.”
Mapi watched as Alexia looked down at you, the softest expression she’d ever seen on her captain’s face.
“Home, mi amor?”
“Yes please.” You whispered. “Your apartment.”
“Whatever you want, my girl.” She promised, before leading you in the direction of the exit.
Mapi had never seen either of you like this. So evidently in love. So happy. And she felt stupid for missing it, and even worse that you’d both felt the need to hide it from her. She turned to Ingrid with tears in her eyes, to which her girlfriend sighed softly.
“Come here.” Ingrid whispered, drawing her girlfriend close to her chest.
“Am I a bad sister? A bad friend? Why wouldn’t they tell me?” Mapi mumbled. Ingrid shook her head.
“No, you are a good sister and a good friend. You have an overprotective streak, María, they probably just wanted to give themselves time together before they told you.” Ingrid assured her.
“I don’t like not knowing things.” Mapi complained quietly.
Ingrid chuckled. “I know you don’t, María min. Now you know, though. And you can talk to them about it tomorrow. We can go to Ale’s and have a conversation.”
“Yeah. Oh god. EW.” Mapi said, quickly growing very disgusted.
“What?” Ingrid wondered, pulling back in concern.
Mapi looked nauseous. “They are sleeping at Alexia’s house together.”
“Maybe your sister is sleeping on the couch.” Ingrid suggested helpfully.
Mapi grinned up at her. “I love you.”
-------
Alexia barely let you out of her grasp the whole way to the car, and the whole drive home. She kept your hand held tightly in hers. Somewhere in your head, you knew very well that when you were anxious, it made Alexia anxious, but you didn’t have it in you to say anything that would let her know you were okay. You weren’t okay, and you weren’t even really sure you could speak at all. You were much calmer now, physically, but your mind was still a mess. You were shaking, and you did your best to focus on Alexia’s thumb running soothingly over the back of your hand.
Before you knew it, Alexia’s free hand was lightly stroking your cheek, and you looked over at her to realize you had arrived at her home.
“Hi.” She said softly, her hazel eyes earnestly looking into yours. Alexia really did love to watch out for you, even before you were together. She’d always kept an eye on you, at first because you were her best friends’ sister. Eventually, though, she found herself watching you when she didn't have a reason to. And you’d gaze at her right back.
“Hey.” You replied, giving her the best smile you could manage, although it was sure to be very weak and unconvincing.
“Feeling better?”
You shrugged. “A bit.”
Alexia sighed, seeing through your lie, but she smiled at you anyway, kissing your cheek and getting out of the car. She was around the car in a flash, opening the door and offering you a hand.
Once you were in the house, Alexia instructed you to sit on the couch and wait for her to return. You tried to relax into the couch, tried to get your mind off what the girl in the bar had said to you. You don’t think you were very successful, because Alexia was back in what felt like 3 seconds, though she had her hands full.
“Okay. Water, crackers, your medicine and a sweatshirt. And that fun pokey ring.” She said, dumping everything onto the table in front of you, handing the sweatshirt to you first. It was one of hers, one of your favorites, and you pulled it on quickly, trying to covertly inhale the scent of her all over the fabric. Alexia very dutifully handed you the water next. You smiled at her gratefully, eating a few crackers and taking your anxiety medicine. You turned to her, prepared to tell her what had happened as you knew she was probably dying to know, but she turned back to the table, grabbing the acupressure ring. She gently took your hand, sliping the ring onto your finger, smiling to herself when your skin erupted in goosebumps at the sensation.
“Better now?” She asked, lacing her fingers with yours. You nodded, this time telling the truth. “Can you tell me what happened please?”
You nodded again, this time a bit more hesitantly. You didn’t really want to tell her what the girl had said, but you knew you had no choice. “What did Ingrid tell you?”
“She said someone said something to you about me. And that Mapi heard, and knew we were together.”
You thought for a moment. You were a bit torn on how to feel now. On one hand, Alexia had been so entirely perfect, the whole night. She’d gone out of her way to make you feel safe and help you calm down. Your insecurities really didn’t know any bounds, though, and you were still half convinced that the girl had been right.
“What did she say to you?” Alexia wondered, after it was clear you were having a hard time finding the words.
You took a deep breath, tearing your eyes away from your girlfriends as you responded. “She said that she couldn’t believe you were with me. That you should be with someone better, someone prettier. And that I’m wasting your time.”
Alexia was silent for almost an entire minute, long enough for you to look up at her and try to gauge her reaction. She finally spoke when she made eye contact with you. “And you… you believed her? You think she was right?” She asked.
“Do you?” You countered, trying to sound stronger and more confident in her answer than you felt.
“No.” Alexia said, exasperation clear in her voice. “I do not. You are perfect for me. I do not need anyone else, and I do not want anyone else.”
“Right.” You whispered, blinking hard. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have believed her I just-”
“You do not need to apologize for feeling bad that someone said something horrible to you.” Alexia replied, resting her hand under your chin and tilting it up towards her face when you wouldn’t look at her yourself. “I would never be mad at you for being insecure, mi amor. I understand. It just means I do not tell you enough how much I love you.”
“You tell me so often.” You laughed, and Alexia smiled sadly down at you.
“Well, I need to tell you more.” She reiterated, leaning down to brush her lips to yours. “I love you.” She moved her lips to your cheek. “I love you. I love you. I love you.” She continued, pressing kisses to every inch of your face, repeating the words in between every kiss. When she pulled away, whispering a final I love you against your lips, you were quite sure that you believed her. And that you’d never felt more loved in your life.
-------
“Please come with me.” Mapi begged from the passenger seat.
Ingrid smiled sympathetically. “No, this is something you need to do yourself.”
“My sister gets to have her girlfriend there.” Mapi said grumpily.
“Your sister’s girlfriend is part of the conversation.”
Mapi sighed, turning slightly more serious. “Ingrid, I don’t know what to say.”
“You aren’t the one doing the talking yet, elskling. Hear them out. And then tell them what you think.”
“Right. Okay. I can do this.”
“You can do this.” Ingrid agreed, before unbuckling her girlfriend’s seatbelt for her, as it seemed she wasn’t quite going to take the first step. It was almost entertaining, watching Mapi move like a snail as she grabbed her phone and slowly, slowly, got out of the car.
-------
“They’ve been in the driveway for like 7 minutes.” You noted, leaning your head on Alexia’s shoulder.
She sipped her coffee, smiling slightly as she gazed out the window with you. “Maybe she is picking out the weapon she is going to kill me with.”
“Don’t say that.” you groaned, wacking your girlfriend on the arm.
“I am just kidding, amor. She isn't going to kill me, or you. It’s all going to be fine.”
You didn’t say anything in response. All you could think was that you hoped to god she was right.
------
You’d never seen Mapi so reserved, as she walked through Alexia’s door, and took a seat in the big armchair. You sat on the couch next to Alexia, much farther away than you would have normally sat next to her, but you were trying to ease your sister into this whole thing.
It was awkwardly silent as you all sat looking at each other for a minute, none of you really knowing where to start or what to say.
“How long?” Mapi asked eventually, fixing her gaze on Alexia.
“A year.” You said quietly, the significant amount of time not making you feel any less guilty.
“A year?” Mapi breathed, looking between the two of you incredulously.
“A year last week.” Alexia confirmed. She shifted slightly, sliding her foot across the floor so that her sock squished against yours. Your girlfriend was nervous, you realized.
“Why… why didn’t you tell me? I mean, I understand if this was new and you weren’t telling anyone, but it’s been a year. You’ve never dated anyone for longer than a month, hermanita, why would you keep this from me?”
Alexia opened her mouth to reply, but you recognized the question was directed at you and your sister would not appreciate your girlfriend speaking for you.
“At first, we just wanted to see where things were going. And then… I don’t know. It was just easier not to tell. We didn’t have to deal with anyone’s reactions or opinions that didn’t matter-”
“My opinion does not matter?” Mapi interjected, frowning sadly at you.
“Of course it does, María, I just… I wanted to decide this for myself. Without you being for it or against it, I wanted to decide how I felt about Alexia before anyone told me how I should feel.” You explained, relieved when your sister nodded slightly.
“Me too.” Alexia tacked on, wincing slightly when you stomped on her foot a bit, though her face fell further when Mapi turned to her with a cold glare.
“You have been keeping my sister a secret from everyone. Are you ashamed of her?”
“María!” You yelped, looking horrified at her.
Alexia remained calm, though, keeping steady eye contact with your sister. “No. She is the most important thing to me. We decided to keep it a secret together. I would have told the whole world that I loved her the minute I knew, if it would have made sense. People are still insane about me and Jenni, though, and I did not want her to get caught in the crossfire. It was just easier for both of us if no one knew.”
Mapi looked slightly less angry now.
“We were going to tell you. Next week at brunch, we were going to tell you, Mapi, I promise, this just happened first, and…”
“What that girl said to her,” Mapi began, again looking at your girlfriend with a slightly accusatory expression.
“Is false. Completely and entirely false. I want your sister, and her only. No one else.” Alexia spoke with conviction, and you felt a small smile on your face before you could stop it.
Mapi nodded thoughtfully, then fixed her attention on you. “And you are happy?”
“Yeah. I’m really happy, Mapi.”
“And you? You are happy?” She asked, again looking at Alexia.
“Happier than I’ve ever been in my life.” Your girlfriend said honestly, though you could see the tips of her ears turning slightly red; Alexia never had been good at expressing her feelings.
“Okay then.” Mapi said. “If you are both happy, then I am happy.”
“Really?” You asked, looking skeptically at your sister. She normally made things much more difficult than this.
Mapi just rolled her eyes. “Of course. You are both adults, and I trust you. I don’t think many people are good enough for you, hermanita, but if anyone is… it’s Ale. I guess.” She added the last part when Alexia looked close to tears. They weren’t expressive friends, normally showing their appreciation for each other through actions rather than words.
You stood, walking over to your sister and pulling her into a tight hug. “Thank you. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, María, but I’m really really glad you know.”
“Yeah, yeah. I love you.” Mapi said gruffly, ruffling your hair like she used to do when you were much younger. As you flattened it back down with an annoyed look thrown at your sister, Alexia moved forward, pulling her best friend into a hug.
When Mapi whispered in her ear, Alexia wasn’t surprised at all. “If you hurt her, I will tear you limb from limb, Putellas. I mean it.”
Alexia knew she did.
And she had every intention of never hurting you, for as long as she lived. The ring she’d brought way too soon that sat in her sock drawer was evidence of that. The baby names she sometimes thought of when she lay awake at night were evidence. The way she looked at you, though, like you lit up every corner of her life, was the best evidence.
When Alexia tugged you into a hug next, Mapi knew from the way that her friend looked at you, that this was different. This was going to be forever. You were happy, and you were with her best friend, and there wasn’t much of a problem your sister could have with that. If you got married and changed your name to Putellas, though. That’s where she’d draw the line.

hope you enjoyed 🙂

Respect
Feyd-Rautha x female!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Your betrothed is a son from one of the Great Houses, an awful man who has enjoyed threatening and scaring you since you were children. Feyd makes it known he doesn't appreciate such disrespectful treatment of the woman he loves.
Notes/Warnings: SA (mention of past unwanted touching. Not by Feyd). Violence and blood. Implied or mentioned sexual situations. Feyd is soft for reader and reader only. Typos, im sure. I think that's it. Feel free to correct me.
Words: 1900
Feyd-Rautha Masterlist
You told him stories of the youngest son of House Kenric. As you lay in Feyd’s arms, you recounted your meetings with your betrothed over the years. The ways he teased you as children, pinching your skin, tugging on your hair, spitting in your face, calling you worthless, stupid, pathetic. Then in the years before coming of age, how he would mock you alongside his brothers. How he would smack you if you defended yourself and force you to tell your father you’d fallen. How he would grope you over your dress when neither your parents nor his were paying attention. But you’d kept one story from him; the most recent of them.
Feyd had met you at a party for a handful of influential Great Houses, and it wasn’t long before he found himself rather attached to you. Over the course of six hours, you’d met, talked, flirted, snuck off, kissed, fell into bed, fucked, and returned to the party with no one the wiser. It was that same night you were able to convince your father of a budding interest in Harkonnen ways, and that if the Houses were aiming for peace and unity, there would be no harm in you spending a few months on Giedi Prime.
At the time, Feyd knew the “Harkonnen ways” you so appreciated didn’t extend far past the attachment the two of you shared and his ability to make you see stars when his cock was inside of you, but it eventually developed into more. Much more. Though never said aloud, he loved you. So much so that when you finally informed him of your betrothed’s treatment of you the week preceding the party—his cornering you, touching you, telling you of his intent to control and use you as he pleases once you become his wife—Feyd struggled to swallow his rage.
“I’m scared, honestly,” you told him, your hand sliding up from his abdomen over his chest to the curve where his neck met his shoulder, gently squeezing the toned muscle. “How do I become the wife of a man like that? And what about producing his heir? I’ll have no choice but to let him have me.”
It made Feyd sick to think of another man so close to you. Another man’s hands on you, his lips marring your body, tongue between your folds, sweat staining your skin. Even screwing his eyes shut couldn’t make those images disappear. They only grew stronger, tormenting him. She’s not yours, a little voice whispered. Not your woman, not the mother of your child, not your wife.
But, fuck, you should be. You should be all of those things. You would make a perfect Baroness; the only one Feyd could imagine himself wanting. You would face hardship with a sturdy backbone and not shy away from what Giedi Prime would request of you. You would be respected as the ruler by his side, as you deserve. Respected most of all by the man who loves you.
“Would you rather marry me?” Feyd asked, lazily running his fingers up and down your bare spine. He felt a sudden uneasiness, like nerves wiggling throughout his limbs. Such an unfamiliar sensation. Unwelcome, but not misplaced he supposed.
“Yes,” you replied to his relief. “But we both know that’s not how this works, Feyd. It’s just not that simple.”
You were right. It wasn’t simple. Your father made an arrangement with House Kenric, but there was no chance Feyd was going to let that old Duke take you from him in two weeks and ship you off to marry an abusive, unworthy pest of a man. If your father wouldn’t permit simplicity for the sake of your happiness, then Feyd would just have to make it simple.
“Why is it again that I’m not allowed to see?” you ask as Feyd guides you down a dark corridor with his fingers covering your eyes.
“I told you it’s a surprise,” he teases. “Don’t you like my presents?”
You chuckle. “Of course, I like your presents.”
“Then that’s all you need to know,” he tells you. “We are here, anyway.”
Coming to a stop, Feyd removes his hands from your eyes and places them on your shoulders, kneading out the tension that has only worsened in your body as your wedding day grows nearer. You blink once, twice, still curious as to what sort of present could possibly be this far from your rooms, but when your vision adjusts to the onslaught of bright light illuminating the small cell, you gasp at the sight before you.
“What do you think?” Feyd asks, pressing a kiss to your neck as you take in the badly beaten body of Aldo Kenric—your future husband.
He’s secured to a chair, his arms strapped down to the chairs arms and legs strapped to legs. His head hangs low. His shirt is torn down the front, exposing the deep purple bruises that litter his torso. Blood drips from his nose and split lips to stain white fabric and forge red rivers through the hills of his abdomen muscles. If not for the pink flush to his skin, you would think him long dead.
The hand that raises to your mouth partially conceals your shock, but the rest of your face gives the emotion away. Your eyelids don’t seem to be able to blink anymore, and your brows will not lower from their position high up on your forehead. You don’t know how to swallow what you see.
With a sigh, Feyd says, “Wait a moment. He’s not very lively.” Then he steps around you toward your betrothed, lifts the man's head by his cropped blond hair, and hits him across the face with a smack that echoes throughout the cell. Scarlet droplets splatter across Feyd’s forearm like flung paint from a brush.
Aldo jolts awake, body convulsing in a sharp jerk. His eyes blow wide as saucers as he snaps his head in all directions and struggles against his binds. The gag in his mouth muffles his whimpers of panic.
“H-How?” you stutter, glancing at Feyd. “When did you—”
“I had some of my men snatch him last night,” Feyd informs you. ‘While we were busy fucking’, he leaves out. “I was told it was done without difficulty. Didn’t put up a decent fight of any sort.”
He grabs Aldo’s jaw, fingers pressing into the hollows of his cheeks, and forces his head so he has no choice but to look directly into Feyd’s eyes. “We had a long talk about respecting our women, didn’t we, Kenric?”
Tears stream down the man’s face, cutting through dried blood and dripping onto Feyd’s hand. Aldo tries to yank his head free from the tight grasp to look at you. You think he’s repeating your name behind the stuffing in his mouth, but you can’t be sure.
“What are you going to do with him?” you ask.
“What would you like me to do with him?”
“I can decide?”
He laughs. “Of course. I wouldn’t give you a gift and not let you choose what to do with it.”
You almost flinch in shock. You’re not known for choosing things for yourself. Until you met Feyd, ‘choice’ was a word associated with negativity and obligatory sacrifice. He is the one thing you’ve ever chosen. Your clothes, your hair, your studies, your husband—all selected for you. But Feyd…you met him and fell and didn’t want to get back up.
Maybe now, you don’t have to.
“You’d kill him?” you ask.
Aldo screams behind his gag, more salty wet lines running down his face. His squirming shifts the chair back and forth and forward and back. Unevenly distributed weight nearly causes him to fall on his side, but Feyd sets him upright before he can crack his head on the stone floor.
Reaching around his back, Feyd pulls out a small knife and in one sharp motion sinks it into Aldo’s thigh with a sickening yet satisfying thick thud. “Stay put,” he growls, then he turns to you with a smile. “Yes, I would kill him, if that would make you happy.”
Water pools in the corner of your eyes. Your bottom lip begins to quiver. Feyd rushes to you and cups your cheeks in warm palms.
“Do not cry,” he demands as his thumbs brush over your cheekbones. “You know I hate it.”
“I'm sorry,” you say, sucking in a few deep breaths between your sniffles. “No one has ever done something like this for me before.”
His face softens. “I’d do everything for you,” he swears before drawing you in for a kiss; slow and sensual and sweet in front of the broken man who currently has a claim on your hand. You lose yourself to mouths moving in perfect sync until he pulls back.
“So, do you have a preference?” he asks, giving you one final peck. “Slit throat now, or arena in the morning?”
Your head tilts in contemplation as you observe the distressed, wailing man who has happily hurt and terrified you. By nature, you are not a violent woman, not in the way your man is a violent man, and you were raised to believe that it is improper and rude and disrespectful to wish pain upon someone else—downright cruel or whatever—but there’s a sense of freedom now. Clearer mind, lighter heart, straighter spine, weakened conscience.
You raise a brow. “If I choose the arena, will you make a show of it?”
Feyd hums in agreement.
“And, um…” you pause.
“You can have anything you want,” Feyd says at your hesitation.
You nod, your confidence renewing with his encouragement. Yes, he’s right, you can have anything. With Feyd, it’s anything, and it’s conditionless.
As you slowly drag your hand down his chest, you peer up at him through your lashes. “Will you go in without a shirt? I’d like to see you come out covered in red.”
Feyd smirks then steps out of your arms and crouches in front of your soon-to-be-former betrothed. “Did you hear her?” he asks Aldo as he flicks the hilt of the blade sticking out of his flesh. Aldo whimpers, pressing his legs together. “Covered, she says. And I will give her what she wants because I love her and this is how I respect her.”
Leaning down, you wrap your arms around his shoulders. “Let’s go to our room. I want to thank you…properly,” you whisper, softly kissing just under his ear before sucking his earlobe into your mouth. Feyd groans.
“And then I will properly thank you for thanking me, my love,” he says with a grin that falls into a frown when he turns back to Aldo. “See, Kenric? Respect.” Feyd slaps the top of Aldo’s leg for emphasis as he stands. “You can keep the knife for now. Can't have you bleeding out. We have an important day ahead of us and I don’t want it to be too easy.”
“Come on,” you snicker, pulling him by the hand as you walk backward out of the cell.
Feyd spins and grabs you at the waist to lift you into his arms. You giggle as your legs lock around his hips.
“Will you agree to marry me now?” he asks you.
“Yes,” you tell him, your lips ghosting over his. “You saved me.”

part two: so american
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You sigh as you try to do your makeup in your mirror as flawlessly as possible. Every blemish or mark on your face needed to be covered up so you could look perfect for Nat. You were desperate to measure up to the gorgeous women Nat has dated before you and for that, you needed to look absolutely pristine.
In the past year, you’ve done so many new things you weren’t fond of just for Nat to like you. From nearly destroying every single muscle in your body at the gym just to measure up to her rigorous exercise routine, all the way to learning how to cook and bake every single one of her favorite foods until it was all you two ever ate despite your dislike for the majority of her preferred meals, you’ve tried so hard to be everything that Nat liked so she wouldn’t get sick of you.
You frown slightly, Nat has never once acknowledged your kind gestures and actions, nor reciprocated them.
“I’m just not the compliment type, Y/N, just drop it,” she had told you one time when you had confronted her on why she never acknowledged your efforts.
You bit the inside of your cheek and nodded wordlessly.
***
“I made you your coffee,” you told Nat as she entered the kitchen in the morning. 2 creams, no sugar, just how you like it.
Nat nodded and took the mug from you, sitting down at the table and barely paying any attention to your gesture.
Clearing your throat, you tell her, “I also got up early this morning to buy tickets for us to go to that band I know you’ve been wanting to go to for a while.” You cross your fingers behind your back, hoping for her to tell you you’re good enough for her just this once.
“Sorry, babe, Carol already got them for me,” she responds, your heart falling to your stomach. Putting her empty mug in the sink, she plants a kiss on your lips. “Besides, you don’t even know the lyrics to their songs.” She leaves you on your own in the kitchen.
I know all of them by heart because of you.
***
“Hey, Y/N?” Nat asks you one night on the couch.
“Yeah?” you respond, turning to face your girlfriend.
“I don’t really feel like myself these days.” Nat pauses. “Do you know what might help?” Despite the content of her question, you still smile, because this was your chance. This was your chance to show her that you might truly be worth loving.
“First, I’m always here if you need to talk,” you say softly, but Nat makes no sound of acknowledgment next to you. “And second, make your own decisions you believe will be beneficial to you, just for yourself, and do the things that bring you fulfillment,” you explain.
Nat finally turns and looks at you thoughtfully. “How did you figure that one out?”
“I read your self-help books,” you reply sheepishly. I read all of them.
“Wow, you’re pretty smart,” Nat replies, going back to the movie the two of you were watching together.
And you smile for the rest of the night because that’s the first compliment Nat has given you since you first started dating a year ago.
***
You and Nat had a fight. It isn’t the first time, but it’s the first time it’s hurt you this much as you truly take in your current reality.
You’re crying in your shared room, Nat leaving you to go out for drinks you assume.
Earlier tonight, you made the stupid mistake of asking why she was never there for you, it was during the heat of the moment, but your outrage felt justified due to the fact that she missed your award ceremony for your article in medical research (the third time this year she’s missed one of them but you did your best to forgive her before this), and she had simply scoffed at you telling you that it wasn’t even a big deal anyways.
But this one was a big deal to you.
It was research that could have saved your mother.
“I nearly get killed every time I go out on the job, Y/N! Some stupid neuroscience article is nothing compared to that!” she yelled at you, exhausted from her day at work.
Your eyes flooded with hurt as Nat’s filled with regret.
“Wait, I’m sorry,” she said remorsefully.
The first sign of remorse she’s ever shown you.
“It’s fine, Nat,” you reply, trying to keep your tears at bay. You weren’t even in neuro, but that didn’t matter. Not to her. “Just go out, like you wanted.” You wave her off to go upstairs to your room.
“Y/N, wait-”
You didn’t listen, shutting the door before collapsing to your knees as you started to sob.
Stupid, emotional, and obsessive. That was what you were.
***
Nat has been home late for the past few nights, your worry increasing with each passing day. It’s probably something to do with work, but something feels off.
“Where were you?” you ask Nat as she enters the front door. “I was worried sick.”
“I’m fine, Y/N. I just got held up at work,” Nat doesn’t make eye contact with you.
“Oh, okay,” you say softly, feeling oddly small compared to your girlfriend. “Couldn’t you have called?”
“For god’s sake, Y/N, my phone was dead. God, you’re so clingy,” Nat bites back, walking past you to go straight up to your room and slamming the door.
You sigh, heading for the guest room since you know Nat won’t let you sleep next to her tonight.
Suddenly, you hear Nat’s phone go off. And you realize that she had left it by the front door.
Picking it up, you notice, that it’s at nearly full charge.
Your brows furrow as you see the message your girlfriend received.
Carol: Had a great time tonight, Nat.
You don’t stop crying until the sun rises, one phrase ringing through your head the whole night.
What are you doing wrong?
***
“Am I not as interesting as the girls she’s dated before me?” you cry to Yelena as she rubs your back in comfort.
“My sister is an idiot,” Yelena mutters, seeing how your relationship with Nat is tearing you apart.
“What?” you choke out through your tears.
“I think you love her more than anyone she’s ever had, and she couldn’t care less.”
“She’s breaking my heart, Lena,” you sniffle. “But more than that, she’s breaking me.”
You cry harder into your best friend’s arms.
“I don’t know who I am anymore,” you sob into her shoulder.
***
“Where were you?” you ask Nat as she comes home past midnight once again.
“I was at the compound, we had a villain that got out so we had to take care of him.”
You nod, but Tony already sent you the camera footage for tonight after you told him about your issues with your girlfriend and you know she was with Carol.
“Are you sure?” you inquired.
“Yes, Y/N,” Nat says exasperated. “For god’s sake, why are you never satisfied with whatever I do?” she says walking past you.
“I don’t think that’s true,” you tell Nat from behind her.
“What?” she says, turning around to face you.
“You’re never satisfied with me,” you state. “The only thing I’ve ever wanted is to be good enough for you, but nothing I ever do for you seems to make you happy.”
Nat scoffs. “That’s ridiculous.”
“I know you were with Carol tonight,” you reveal.
“No, I wasn’t,” she denies.
“Tony sent me the footage, I know there was no villain. I know you’re cheating on me, and I know that you never cared about me,” you state.
“Fine, whatever, I’m going to bed,” Nat says, completely disregarding you and everything she’s done to destroy the person you once were.
“We’re done, Nat,” you tell her as she walks up the stairs to your once-shared room.
Nat waves you off like you’ve never meant anything to her.
And maybe you never did.
***
“I loved her so much, I still do, and all she did was use me, then throw me away like I meant nothing to her,” you tell Yelena at the drink bar. Nat was away on a mission, so Yelena thought it might be fun for you to join her at one of the Avengers parties.
“Don’t worry Y/N,” Yelena tells you. “I could tell her to apologize to you, but clearly she’s got some issues to figure out within herself before she can resolve any outside.”
You nod wordlessly.
What Yelena says then surprises you, “But honestly? She should be the one feeling sorry for herself.” You look at her curiously. “Someday, there will be someone out there who will love you as deeply as you love them.”
“I don’t know, Lena,” you say softly. “Nat was everything to me.”
“Someday, Y/N, you’ll be everything to somebody else.”
***
1 year later
You’re running late for work, rushing out the door of the coffee shop, and you don’t notice the fact that you’ve bumped into someone until your coffee spills all over the floor, making you gasp.
“Oh, my god, I’m so sorry,” you tell the figure in front of you, and suddenly you freeze, at the sight of her glimmering emerald green eyes. Like Nat’s, but eternally softer. Eternally more curious.
“Oh, no worries,” she says with a smile, pulling a few napkins out of her purse.
“I didn’t spill any on you, did I?” you ask the woman, your mind a mess due to your embarrassment at spilling your coffee, but still quite fuzzy at the sight of her undeniable beauty.
If you weren’t so much of a useless homosexual, you would bend down and help her clean the coffee she’s currently wiping away. Much like how she’s wiping away your ability to form any sort of cohesive thought.
“No, I’m ok,” she laughs, standing up once more once all the coffee’s gone. “C’mon, let me buy you a new one.”
Your eyes widen. “Oh, no, it’s not a big deal. Besides, it’s completely my fault for bumping into you-”
“I want to,” she cuts off with a soft smile.
“Oh,” you say softly. “Okay,” you finally resign to the comforting look she gives you.
“Let me just make a quick phone call,” you let her know, hoping she doesn’t leave.
“Take your time,” she assures.
You smile gratefully.
Your phone call was to call in sick to work for the second time in your life –you didn’t have a busy day today and you were running late anyways– and it was all to spend time with a pretty girl.
On any other day you’d probably laugh at how pathetic you were, but this woman made you feel an odd sense of uncertainty within your life.
Like nothing had ever made sense before her.
Once you hang up the phone, you turn to see the woman already standing there, a white to-go coffee cup with a bit of steam escaping the spout.
“Here’s your coffee,” the woman hands you the cup with a big smile as you pocket your phone. You inspect the label, your mouth parting slightly in shock once you see all of your preferred customizations. Done perfectly.
“How do you know my coffee order?” you ask.
“I took the label off the old one,” she says, showing you the sticker in the palm of her hand. “Want to sit?” She points to the array of round tables within the cafe.
“I don’t even know you,” you say slowly. I called in sick to work for you, it’s a little too late for that.
The brunette woman laughs before holding out her hand for you to shake. “Hi, I’m Wanda,” she says.
“Y/N,” you respond, shaking her outstretched hand as your face flushes slightly at its softness.
“See? Now we know each other,” Wanda says cheekily.
You nod with a shy smile, following her to the table in the back as the two of you settle down into a small conversation.
Somehow, the two of you spend the rest of the day talking and laughing, and you think it might be the best day of your life.
Little do you know, Wanda thinks so too.

_____
"Don't be afraid, hāedar (little sister)."
This was easier said than done.
The day of their nuptials, although it was the fulfilment of their dreams and hopes, was also a time full of terror and humiliation for them.
Aegon made sure to speak his thoughts aloud about how his younger brother would not be able to please his sister and that it was him she should give her wedding night to.
"With one eye, he won't even know where to put it." Aegon sneered, taking a deep sip from his cup. Their mother gave him a quick, rebuking glance.
"Aegon. That is enough."
The humiliation he felt burned his loins like fire, however, what really frightened him was her pale face, her hands clenched on her beautiful green dress, the field flowers pinned into her hair.
She looked so beautiful and innocent that he was afraid to touch her, barely brushing her tiny, delicate hands as they danced.
He hated courtly courtesy, and the steps he had to take to the rhythm of the music seemed forced and clumsy, yet he was doing it for her, just for her.
Although it was their wedding day, she was sad and tired.
To his joy, with the help of his mother, he managed to dissuade his brother and his friends from participating in their intimate act. When the chamber door closed behind them, they were left alone.
He was relieved when her body clung to his: it was not a gesture of desire, but of fear and uncertainty, as if she had been waiting for hours and could not do it because it would be indecent behaviour.
Embracing her husband.
She was his wife.
"Lēkia (big brother)." She muttered, sinking into his linen white shirt, her body covered only by her nightgown.
His arms involuntarily embraced her petite figure, sinking her face into his chest, her scent, her closeness making him feel a pleasant warmth in his stomach.
"I'm here. No one's going to hurt you." He whispered, his full lips placing a loud, soft kiss on the top of her head.
Gods, how he loved her.
Her, only her.
Love was a weakness and he knew it, and she was the only person he wanted and needed to be vulnerable in front of.
"Are you afraid?" She asked involuntarily, looking up at him with her big, dark eyes that she had inherited from their mother.
His broad hand rose to her plump cheek and stroked her skin with his thumb, looking at her with his lips parted, feeling a squeeze in his heart.
What should he answer?
What if she thought he was weak, that Aegon was right?
That he wouldn't be able to please her?
"What do you mean?" He muttered, looking into the depths of her dark, shining eyes.
"Have you ever lain with a woman? Before our betrothal. You can tell me, I'll understand." She whispered in a trembling voice, and he swallowed hard, feeling the cold sweat on his back.
He didn't know if it was a good idea to tell her, but he didn't want to begin their marriage with a lie.
"I did, issa dōna rūklon (my sweet flower). Once. It was Aegon's idea, not mine. On my thirteenth Name Day." He choked out with difficulty, feeling shame and fear at the thought that she might have rejected him, found him disgusting, unworthy of her affection.
She nodded, to his surprise looking as if she felt relieved, her trembling hand found his, their fingers intertwined in a soft, tender embrace.
"You promised me that from this day to the end of your days you would be mine alone." She whispered, and he nodded, feeling his erection swell and pulse in his breeches at her words, reminding him of the vow they had made to each other in the Great Sept.
"Yes, sweet sister. I am yours and you are mine." He sighed, leaning over her, in some natural, simple reflex, letting their lips cling to each other in a soft, warm kiss.
They both purred with contentment, carefully grasping each other's cheeks in their hands, stroking the skin of their faces with their fingers, letting their wet, rough tongues lick tentatively with the quiet click of their saliva.
"– ah – mmm –" She hummed as one of his arms hugged her waist, forcing her body to slam against his, his impatient cock pushing against her belly.
"– can you feel it, hāedar? –" He exhaled, looking down between their bodies, watching the bulge under the material of his breeches pressing against her body. "– can you feel what you're doing to me? – how much I crave to feel you? –"
She looked at him with a hazy, dreamy, hot gaze from which he felt a squeeze in his lower abdomen, her glistening, puffy lips parted wide.
"– I want it, brother – make it feel good –" She whispered, and he needed no more encouragement. She squealed in surprise, throwing her arms around his shoulders as he lifted her up, holding her beneath her buttocks, walking with her towards their large marital bed now standing in his chamber.
"– easy, little one – easy –" He murmured with a smile, touched by her innocent, involuntary behaviour, in the candlelight seeing how much her cheeks had blushed with emotion.
"– will it hurt, Aemond? – mum said it would –" She muttered as he laid her down on the soft, clean bedding, apparently revealing to him at last the reason for her sadness and anxiety all day.
He sighed heavily, climbing onto the bed, reading dozens of books before their wedding just to make sure he did everything he could to spare her suffering.
"– there's a thin wall inside you that I'm going to have to break – during this moment, you'll be able to feel discomfort and sting, but when it's behind us, I swear you'll feel nothing but pleasure –" He whispered in a trembling voice, spreading her thighs in front of him, letting the material of her nightgown expose her bare thighs.
She blinked, looking at him in disbelief, surprised, apparently, by his extensive knowledge on the subject, and breathed out quietly, as if trying to relax.
"– we'll start with what's familiar to you – we need to make you wet and willing for your brother – hm? –" He murmured, cocking his head, trailing his hands from her knees to her thighs. She nodded quickly, wriggling impatiently, clearly now more excited than frightened, shivering on her skin in the places where he ran his palms.
A sweet sigh of surprise left her lips as he drew her closer to him and leaned in, sinking his face into her heat: her folds were pink and swollen, soft and tender as silk. His sister smelled of bath, of fragrant oils and herself, of her own sweat – he murmured at the thought, the tip of his tongue running over her small, swollen bud, making her fingers clench in his hair, her head thrown back.
"– lēkia –" She mewled, rolling her hips back and forth, impatient, wanting more and harder. He, however, decided to take his time and explore her womanhood, the space around her pearl, her tight slit, which he teased with slow, lazy flicks of his tongue.
He felt the taste of her moisture on his tongue and grinned under his breath as he listened to her moans, feeling her body writhing before him in convulsions, his fingers digging warningly into the plush structure of her thigh.
"– lay still –" He hissed, finally forcing his tongue between her fleshy, hot walls, licking and rubbing the small spot just above her opening, teasing her bud with his nose, all swollen from his caresses.
"– Aemond – Aemond, Aemond, Aemond –" She sobbed in front of him, chasing her peak, but he knew he couldn't let her come.
Not yet.
He stopped his treatments and raised himself up on his elbows, looking at her with satisfaction, wiping his face with his hand. Her long, dark hair was spread around her head, her lips parted wide in a heavy breath, her gaze hot and full of desire.
"– I want more – husband –" She mumbled, and he sighed and nodded, sliding the material of his breeches lower, releasing his hard, long manhood, dripping from his precum.
Husband.
"– show me your breasts, sweet wife –" He commanded, and she drew in a loud breath and quickly slid the material of her nightgown off her shoulders, revealing her bare chest to him.
Something about her appearance, about how different she was from Madam, aroused him even more – her plump breasts with their sweet, hard nipples were more girlish, more innocent, more lovely.
His.
His hand squeezed his swollen cock at the base with sure, quick jerks as he leaned in, sinking and clamping his mouth on her little nipple, beginning to suck involuntarily as if he were a baby.
He had never heard her let out a similar moan before, so helpless and loud, her hands immediately pressed his face closer to her breast as if she wanted to melt into one with him.
"– b-brother – what are you – ah –" She mewled and shuddered as he directed the thick head of his cock against her leaking, hot slit and began to slowly push.
She gasped, throwing her head back, clearly not having known a similar sensation in her entire life – he opened her with difficulty and was met with resistance, her moan of discomfort telling him that this was the moment.
He released her breast and lifted himself up on his arm higher, to her face, wanting to look into her eyes, his nose pressed against her cheek.
"– I need to push harder now – this might hurt a little – spread your thighs wider – yes, just like that – ready? –" He asked and she nodded, her eyes big with desire and terror.
He cradled her head to the hollow of his neck, slid out a little and with one sure thrust hit something deep inside her, from which she cried out loudly and squealed in pain, her fingers tightening on the material of his shirt.
Fuck, he hadn't made it.
He had to do it again, harder.
"– just one more time – one more time and it will be over –" He whispered in a trembling voice, her walls almost painfully tight against his cock, clenching in panic.
He grasped her buttocks in his hands, pulling them apart with her whine of discomfort, and with one violent thrust he finally broke deeper into her warm interior. He felt her burst into sobs, her legs quivering all over in his embrace, her fingers clenched painfully hard against his skin.
"– stop – don't move – don't move –" She mumbled pleadingly, and he froze motionless, panting heavily, feeling the sting in his heart, for some reason feeling like crying himself. His lips placed warm, tender kisses on her temple and cheek, his broad hand simply stroking her hair, wanting to reassure her.
"– I know, I'm so sorry – I know I promised it would be easier – but the worst is behind us –" He promised, and she swallowed heavily, feeling how hard his erection pulsed inside her.
"– it still hurts –" She confessed, and he nodded.
"– we'll wait until it stops – we'll just embrace and kiss until the discomfort passes – hm? –" He asked in a shaky voice, afraid that she would reject him now, tell him to stop, that she didn't want to see him, that she would never let him touch her again.
She, however, nodded and looked at him with a trusting and affectionate gaze from which his lips, swollen with desire, melted with hers into one. They kissed loudly and unashamedly, their tongues dancing with each other deep in their throats, fighting for dominance, their hands stroking their hair and bodies.
Indeed, he felt her walls stop pressing so hard against him, her breathing calmed, tears of fear stopped flowing down her face. Tentatively, he slid deeper into her, and she only sighed, combing through his hair, without however uttering a word.
"– may I? –" He asked in a quivering voice, feeling his cock about to explode with desire. She looked up at him, her lips parted sweetly, her face all red from emotion and tears.
"– yes – just – be gentle – She mumbled, and he pressed his forehead against hers, with a low groan slowly and firmly sliding all the way into her. He looked at her face, at her eyelashes glistening from her tears, at her sweet red lips, and thought he had to do this to her.
"– sister –" He exhaled and began to pound into her, shyly and shallowly at first, thinking only of how tight, warm, wet she was, that he was just taking her maidenhood and her, what was rightfully his from the day she was born.
"– brother –" She muttered, throwing her head back, clearly feeling the opposite of discomfort at the moment.
"– 'm going to accelerate now –" He whispered, gripping her hips in his hands, imposing a sharp, fast rhythm on her, slamming into her the way he'd always dreamed of doing, the loud slaps of their skin building his way to fulfilment.
She moaned loudly, throwing her legs over his back, her hands on his neck pressed him closer, wanting to unite with him, to become one as they were always meant to be. They kissed passionately and deeply, then again and again as her hips began to rock, seeking a shared rhythm with him, her sweet little cunt began to squeeze him, soaking him all over.
"– ñuhon (mine) –" He exhaled between the aggressive, sticky, slick dance of their teeth and tongues, their bodies entwined in an aggressive, close embrace like a vine.
"– aōhon (yours) – iksan aōhon, lēkia (I'm yours, big brother), oh fuck, fuck, fuck! –" She cursed far too sweetly and innocently, throwing her head back in euphoria, going before his eyes through the kind of release she had never before experienced in his presence, the great wet spot under their buttocks making him lick his lips lustfully.
"– that's right – I intend to fulfil my duty to you as a husband every day, ābrazȳrys (wife) – ah – fuck, yes –" He sighed, feeling a tightening in his stones, only to feel a wonderful, stunning relief a moment later and finally fill her with his seed, as he had always been destined to do.
"– gods –" He exhaled, falling on top of her, their hands clenched on their bodies, refusing to let go, their breaths hitched and heavy, full of fulfilment.
"– I want to see you bare, valzȳrys (husband) –" She mumbled out in shame, and he hummed, for some reason pleased with her request.
At the thought that he hadn't discouraged her from their intimacy, that she wanted it as much as he did.
As he pulled off his shirt and breeches she slipped off the material of her nightgown, remaining unashamedly naked before him, sweet, beautiful, his.
His little sister.
He drew her to him, placing tender, loud kisses full of affection on her bare skin, her nimble fingers pulling at the ribbon material at the back of his head, releasing the front strands of his hair.
He looked at her and smiled, thinking with pride that he was her husband and she was his wife, that every night from that day until his death she would spend at his side, in his bed, bearing his children, his inheritance.
They clung to each other like little children, sinking into each other's embrace, stroking each other's naked bodies, kissing the skin of each other's sweaty faces, red with emotion, knowing that no one would ever separate them again.
Before the face of men and gods, they were one.

The Artificer: Part II - Azriel x Reader
Warnings: Torture, violence, death
✨Based on this ask ✨

“She is my mate.” The male’s eyes flashed with horror and understanding, and that feeling chased him towards his death, “And your High Lord will burn for what he’s done.”
Tumblr media
Five months later…
“Where is she?” The Shadowsinger stalked forward, silent as the dead and just as unfeeling.
The Autumn Court warrior at least had the sense to tremble when The Shadowsinger came near. But he kept his red-cracked lips shut, golden eyes shining with hatred.
“Bastard.” He sneered, spitting on Azriel’s polished boot.
“I said.” A shadow darted out from his side, grabbing a fistful of matted tawny hair and wrenching it back. His skin was thin, so translucent that Azriel traced the flow of his blood in his purple veins with dead eyes. “Where. Is. She?” Every word was emphasized with a violent jerk.
He’d gone to visit you last week, carrying your favorite chocolates from Velaris and hoping for a far sweeter kiss in return. Instead your workshop had been in ruins. Swords shattered and the fire burnt out. For the first time, the room had been cold and unlit.
Azriel had only found the pathetic male in front of him, kneeling on the ground and uselessly tugging at the sword which refused to move - Sunseeker.
Azriel held it now in his hands, the pale, yellow glow sharpening the shadows beneath his eyes and the elegantly cruel cut of his jaw.
It had been a risk trying to pick up the sword, but the weapon had sung to him and his shadows, calling out for him to wield it instead of the unworthy Autumn Court male. Azriel was no replacement for its real master - he was no replacement for you - but Sunseeker willed it and he obeyed.
“Is there truly no one else capable of wielding it?” Azriel asked, sitting so close to you that your knees and elbows brushed against one another. He didn’t have the courage to kiss you just yet, but gods did he want to. And with the hours he’d spent looking at and dreaming about your lips, he was certain he had a good idea what you tasted like.
“Her.” You corrected, holding the sword up to the steady stream of sunlight that spilled through the slats in the ceiling. Pressed against the light, the sword appeared almost transparent - as if made of glass.
Azriel smiled. You liked to name and personify every tool, weapon, and piece of equipment you owned, as if you had a secret third eye that allowed you to see into the lives of inanimate objects. He wanted to believe it was true - it was the only way he could explain the wonders you produced with your bare hands.
“There is one other person capable of such a thing,” You hesitated to tell him, but ultimately finished. “My mate.”
All at once Azriel’s heart fell into free fall, prepared to crash through the cradle of his bones and into the floor. His face, marvelously, betrayed nothing.
“Your mate.” He stole his gaze away, focusing on a very interesting speck of dust on the counter, “They’re lucky.” He murmured, drawing away.
You snorted, shaking your head. “Not lucky enough.” You sheathed the blade, returning it to its new place on the wall, “They haven’t found me yet.”
“Oh.” A flicker of hope filled his chest - dangerous and unwieldy. “Is that… is that something you want? A mate? ” Azriel wondered aloud before his mind could trap the words. He cringed, shaking his head in self-disappointment.
What a stupid question. Everyone wanted to find their mate. Everyone. He himself had been obsessed with the concept for hundreds of years. He had thought he’d find his mate in Mor, and then Elain, he had even thought he felt something more than friendship for Gwyn.
But more recently the idea had faded into the recesses of his mind. More recently the worst of his thoughts had fallen silent, and it was all thanks to you.
“Maybe,” You considered it, “Maybe not.” You sighed, sinking back into your seat. You rubbed at a metal coin on the benchtop, feeling the oil gather on its surface and taint your fingers grey, “My parents were mates. They didn’t love each other though. Not really.”
“I’m sorry, Y/n.”
You shook your head and shook off his sympathy.
“I don’t know if I want a mate…”
You pulled your chair closer and reached out, delicately beginning to drag your fingertips over the ridges and valleys of Azriel’s scars. His heart stopped when you picked up his hands and gently kissed them, your calloused fingertips rolling over his ruined skin.
“But there is something I definitely want.” You revealed, looking at him with more feeling than you ever had before.
You’d been scraping by on lingering touches and reserved smiles and momentary glances that spoke of more than friendship. But it wasn’t enough. It had never been enough, not since the moment he’d walked into your workroom. You felt like a woman starved, deprived of something that you hadn’t even tasted yet. It was a terrible pain to want something you didn’t even understand the nature of.
Azriel wasn’t everything. He wasn’t the air you needed to breathe. He wasn’t every piece of joy that life could bring. But he was the bright touch of color in the world that made everything that came before seem dull. And you didn’t want to live in greyscale anymore.
Azriel swallowed thickly, his hands instinctively falling to your waist and pulling you into his lap. “Whatever it is you want, Y/n - anything at all - I’ll give it to you.” He whispered reverently, closing his eyes when you pressed your forehead against his, “I swear it on my life.”
It was such sweet torture feeling you pressed against him with your hands caressing his throat. You smelled like woodsmoke and citrus. Heady, sweet, and clean all at the same time.
“Just you, Az. I just want you.”
He couldn’t handle it anymore. He tightened his grip on you, swallowing your little gasp of surprise with his lips.
Time was molten metal. Cooling, slowing, and warping around your hands as you molded it to your liking, so you could savor this moment for as long as possible.
Little did you know, your mate had found you. And he would find you again. Nothing but the crashing of the stars and the splitting of the earth would keep him from fulfilling this promise.
Azriel’s eyes darkened.
“Three of you were sent to take Y/n.” Azriel stalked around the male, slipping in and out of eyesight without warning. The male pulled at his chains and the ring of his futile efforts echoed throughout the dungeon.
“She put up a fight.” Azriel emerged from the male’s left, shooting out an arm so quickly that the pain followed after the fall of blood down his freckled cheeks.
Azriel cleaned Truth-Teller on his forearm nonchalantly, continuing his ambiguous path. If it weren’t for the hard cruelty in his eyes and the knife in his hands, he would look… normal. As if he were doing the grocery instead of slowly butchering a fae alive. He’d already taken three fingers and four toes.
The male began to shake.
“I saw the blood in the shop. It wasn’t yours, and it wasn’t hers.”
Another arm shot out, followed by a scream. The male grappled for an ear that was no longer there, feeling the blood drip down his arms from the stump.
“I DON’T KNOW!” The male cried out, curling in on himself, “I don’t know.” He repeated miserably.
“What don’t you know?” Azriel asked. His countenance said he was bored, but inside he was barely holding on by a thread. His shadows begged to be released and scattered across all of Prythian until you were returned home. They wanted chaos and pain - anything to distract from your aching absence.
Let us handle this. They hissed. We can take him. We’ll get the information. We’ll get everything. Let us-
Azriel shushed them, and they obeyed, falling to the edges of his consciousness and the edges of his body.
“What don’t you know?” Azriel leaned forward, some sick, twisted part of him relishing in the way the male flinched.
“I-I don’t know where she is. I don’t even know why he wanted her. Just some no-name artificer from-”
“Who wanted her?”
The male paled further until his skin was as pallid as moonlight on lakewater.
“WHO?!”
“THE HIGH LORD!” He whimpered, shuffling away from Azriel’s encroaching footsteps. The chains scuffed the ground and then clanged when he reached the end of his length, trailing blood. “Ber-Beron wanted her.”
Azriel stilled, his insides turning cold.
There were dozens of reasons why Beron might want you as his prisoner. Your talents alone made you worth a thousand men. But if Beron had any awareness of what you meant to him?
Azriel gritted his teeth. “For what purpose?” He growled.
The male’s dull eyes closed in defeat. He was as good as dead. He could only hope the rumours were true and that the Night Court were not the devils they pretended to be. Then, and only then, might he be offered the option of a violently quick end.
“He heard rumours of an artificer - a female artificer - capable of crafting weapons that could be bonded to a single wielder. He’s been searching for years now.” He shook his bloodied locks, “We thought…We thought it would be another dead end. Another body to bury. We didn’t think-” He choked on his words, trailing off into silence.
Azriel crouched down, dragging the Truth-Teller down the male’s face like a sculptor ready to carve a piece of marble down.
One wrong breath, one flinch, and he’d draw blood.
“Finish what you were going to say.” His hazel eyes cut deep.
He swallowed, “We didn’t think… we didn’t think she was anyone important.”
Azriel’s eyes were swallowed up by shadows until they hardened into two marble stones.
The male held his breath, feeling an oppressive power start to press down on him. Suffocating. Cold. Lethal. Darkness shoved him to the floor, crushing his ribs until they splintered and snapped.
“That was your mistake,” Azriel growled, “She is someone important. More important than you will ever be.” With a flash of blue and black, he buried Truth-Teller into the male’s chest all the way down to the hilt.
A shock of surprise and pain flooded the male’s face, and before the expression could dissipate, Azriel leaned in close enough to smell the blood pooling on his tongue and dripping down his chin.
“She is my mate.” The male’s eyes flashed with horror and understanding, and that feeling chased him towards his death, “And your High Lord will burn for what he’s done.”
___________
His shadows roiled in frustration, climbing up his legs and arms like fire greedily chasing after oxygen. They weren’t happy about being denied a kill, and every moment Azriel kept them on a leash, the more irritable they became. Their devotion to you was second only to Azriel. Even then, they would hesitate to disappoint you, even if it meant going against their master.
Soon. He promised them. Soon.
Azriel’s silhouette was carved out of the fabric of the night sky, shadows curling around his arms and wings as he stayed low, pooling his power to keep them all hidden. Cassian and Eris lay on the ground beside him, arms and wings tucked in close.
Autumn lay like a sleeping giant all around them, sighing with a breath that had mist floating up from slick, damp earth covered in leaves. Azriel was grateful for the weather, the rain disguised the curling of their breath in the air and masked their footsteps when they crossed over from Spring. Night and mist were a Shadowsinger’s dream.
The ground rose steadily in front of them, trees only daring to inch halfway up the hill as if they too could taste the magic in the air. All the trees - save for the godstree that marked the crest of the hill and snaked its thundering hand towards the sky in a knobby, clenched fist.
Icaryon Hill was one of Autumn’s most highly guarded secrets, and like the Forest House, it hid all its treasures and prisoners underground.
Azriel leaned down, pressing his ear to the ground and straining his ears for anything. Anything at all.
Eris smirked at him, reveling in the way Azriel bristled and bared his teeth. He would never let the Shadowsinger forget how he’d become desperate enough to swallow his pride and ask him for help.
Cassian looked equally displeased at the Lordling’s presence. “I hope your information isn’t as useless as the rest of you.”
“Careful who you call useless, Bastard,” Eris drawled, choosing his words very carefully, “Or else I might have to leave you and your pretty little artificer for the dogs.”
Cassian had to stop himself from wringing his pale, slender neck, but Azriel - for once in his life - didn’t have that much self control.
He shot forward, wrapping one scarred hand around Eris’s throat and slamming his head back into the ground, pushing down until he sank six inches into the damp soil.
Eris’s eyes flashed with something like triumph and curiosity. Nevermind that the Shadowsinger was currently crushing his ribs with his knee, or that Truth Teller was starting to leave a thin line of blood on his neck.
Azriel hated him, and the piece he hated most was that even when Eris was down, he had a way of making himself out to be the biggest person in the room.
“Az, that’s enough,” Cassian hissed. His eyes kept swiveling back up to the hill, “Let him go.”
Eris had warned them there would be a narrow window of time between the changing of the guards. The belly of Icaryon Hill was so expertly warded that no one - not even the High Lord - was capable of winnowing in. At some unknown time three guards would slip out and three guards would slip in, all winnowing to the gate hidden in the base of the godstree. One - and only one - of the males would have the key necessary to enter and exit and they’d have to unlock the gate in twenty seconds or risk triggering an alarm. If any blood was spilled on the earth, internal alarms within the Forest House would trigger the arrival of a squadron of gorgons capable of turning flesh to rock with a single touch.
That meant in order to evade the wards they’d have to winnow up the hill, kill six highly-trained males without bloodshed, and find the key in less than twenty seconds if they wanted even the smallest chance of getting you out.
Cassian knew this and it made his stomach turn.
Eris knew this and it made him cocky.
“Interesting.” Eris said, tilting his head with a smug smile on his face, “The Artificer, huh? Was that doe-eyed seer not enough for you?”
Azriel began to heave with rage, eyes turning pure black. It was enough to scare even Cas. Azriel had been on edge for weeks since you’d gone missing, but Cass had never seen him so… so unhinged.
Azriel had traded in his icy rage for a darker, more visceral variety capable of driving him to madness.
And Eris was not making things better.
He continued to goad him, “Maybe she ran away? I wouldn’t blame her.”
“Eris, shut the fuck up.” Cassian growled, “When are the guards changing?”
Eris ignored him, concentrating on the Shadowsinger. Azriel may have been the one to approach him for help, but that didn’t mean he was going to waste an opportunity to advance his own agenda.
It was funny. Everyone said The Shadowsinger was near unreadable - cold as a statue and as unfeeling as steel. But deep down, Eris knew he was still the same little Illyrian bastard that had been shoved into a cellar and convinced he didn’t matter. And more than making him insecure or thoughtful, it had made him angry.
Eris switched tactics, focusing on you instead, “Maybe, when this is all said and done, your precious whore will run away too.” Azriel stilled, shadows pouring off of him to the ground where they turned into claws and sank in deep, “And just maybe, I’ll be there to fuck her the way she likes. I’d pay her good money too.”
“Eris!” Cassian’s warning came too late. Azriel raised his arm, Truth Teller glinting in the darkness.
Something in the earth shifted, thin rays of light spilling out of the gate atop the hill.
Eris smiled.
Just on time.
The guards were changing.
“Fuck!” Cassian groaned, grabbing at his swords but not daring to unsheath them.
Azriel was roiling with panic and rage, every muscle in his body feeling ready to split in two. And Eris… Eris was smiling.
“Go on Shadowsinger.” He said, pointing to the hill, “Tick tock.”
Azriel clawed the front of his shirt, hauling him to his feet at the same time he clutched Cassian’s arm hard enough to bruise. They winnowed up to the gate in a whirlwind of death and shadow.
Six guards. 15 seconds.
Eris slammed his fist into two of the males’ throats, cutting off their roars of alarm. Two swift kicks to their knees and they exploded out with a sickening snap. Sharp cracks followed and they fell to the ground, their necks sticking out at a harsh angle.
Four.
Eris dropped to his knees, ripping at amour in search of the key.
Cassian rolled to the ground, narrowly missing the downward swing of a sword that buried itself in the ground. He bounced onto his feet, as lithe and limber as a fae a quarter of his size. He grabbed a fistful of blood-red hair, swiftly bringing the other elbow down. He made perfect contact at the base of the skull, severing the connection between the spinal cord and the brain.
Three.
This was taking too long. They would never make it in time.
But… but how was it still so quiet? Cassian dared to look up from his search for the key and his blood ran cold.
Azriel…
Azriel was death and decay given form. The moment they reached the gate, for the first time in his life, he relinquished full control of his shadows.
They swarmed around him until he was nothing more than a dark, blurry cloud of destruction. He grabbed the male closest to him, digging his hands into his throat and registering the horror in his eyes before shadows poured into his eyes, mouth, nose, ears. They flooded every sense, screaming in Azriel’s ears of a power that he had never been desperate or angry enough to unleash… until now.
The shadows filled the male’s body, wrecking bones and ripping apart tendons with a force that transformed them into razor sharp talons. The male gurgled, body jerking around in pain. Azriel finished him off by snapping his neck with a clean, sharp jerk. The body fell to the ground with a hollow thud.
Two.
The remaining guards similarly dropped to their knees, empty eyes and hands left to ghost over their throats before they fell forward. Dead.
Shadows leaked out of their eyes and mouth, slipping over their cooling bodies like the rain that pitter pattered against their backs. But no blood. Not even a drop.
One tendril of night slid up Azriel’s leg and washed over his hands, depositing a glittering bronze key that burned with warmth.
He should have felt more. More surprise and some semblance of disgust at what he’d just done. What he’d been capable of. But those feelings remained hidden, sullen and silent behind walls of obsidian willpower and adamant.
Cassian and Eris stared at him, wasting a few precious seconds to gape at the littering of bodies around them, raindrops pattering onto their backs and slowly absorbing into leather and skin.
Cassian swallowed, daring to break the silence, “I never knew you could do that.” He admitted blandly. Cassian wasn’t afraid of his brother - he never could be. He’d survived too many battles by his side to ever fear being on the wrong end of his blade… but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be unnerved by the powers that thrived within him, and how little anyone knew about them.
“Neither did I,” Azriel said without emotion, closing his fist around the key. “Let’s go.”
He stalked to the gate where it hummed in the ground like a dropped coin, fluttering with life, beckoning him to enter.
Just a little longer, Y/n. I’m coming.
He used the key and the gate opened.
You crouched in the darkness, cradling your ruined hands and trying not to cry.
The first few weeks Beron had let you out of your cell during the day, bringing you to the forge hidden beneath the hill so you could set about building him a weapon of his own. You’d leaned into his desires, working the metal until it sang a song of promise to the cruel High Lord.
He wanted power, and you’d promised it to him, proving your worth long enough for Azriel to come find you. But it had been almost two months, Azriel was nowhere to be found, and Beron was losing patience.
He traded empty compliments for threats, and when those failed to do anything, he turned to outright cruelty. Just this morning, he’d had one of his men whip your hands until they bled. Then, as a personal touch, he’d torn your shirt to pieces and trailed his fingers down your back. His touch had been light. You could’ve mistaken them for the kisses of a lover if it weren’t for the fact that he’d set the tips of his fingers on fire so they burned the whole way down.
They smarted and burned, the pain seeping in now that the shock was ebbing away.
“He’s coming. He’s coming.” You murmured to yourself, curling in on yourself with your arms pressed close to your exposed chest. “Just stay strong. Stay strong.”
“He’s not coming for you, dear.” A phantom hand, cold and bony as death, caressed your back. You looked up, eyes shining like two shards of glass in the darkness.
The High Lord was as handsome as he was deadly, the smooth and elegant planes of his face and his honey-sweet voice in stark contrast to the light of his eyes - or rather lack thereof.
They held no warmth, no pity, no fear.
“He’s not coming for you.” He repeated.
“Liar.”
He clicked his tongue in disappointment, shaking his head. His blood-red robes trailed along the grate of your prison cell, blocking out the meager light that trickled down. The gold-trim embroidery winked deceptively, flashing sultry looks of wealth and opulence in your direction.
Your stomach growled painfully and you wrapped yourself up as best you could. You’d spent most of your life time by the forge. Cold was not a familiar experience.
“I don’t know what that Illyrian bastard, Azriel, promised you. Wealth. Prestige. Love.”
You growled, kicking the wall hard enough for a shower of dirt to rain down on your head. You tried not to flinch when debris landed on sensitive skin, “Keep his name out of your mouth.”
Beron smirked, amused, “So much anger. So much defensiveness for a male who won’t care about you the next time a pretty female with doe eyes wanders into his path.”
You bared your teeth at him.
“Ahhhhh,” he clicked his tongue happily, “So perhaps you’re already aware he holds a certain reputation. Pity.” There was another swoosh of his velvet robes, “I’m promising you safety, enough gold and silks to make an empress jealous, and in return I just ask for you to do what you’ve always done.” He held up his hands, “I don’t understand where the difficulty lies”
“In return you’d want to make me your bitch.” You spit out, “To give you the tools to kill whomever you pleased.”
“I already have the tools to kill whomever I please.”
“No. No you don’t.” He narrowed his eyes in displeasure. You limped forward, holding your hands close to your chest. Your body may have been weak, but your heart and your mind were still strong. Not even Beron was capable of taking that from you. You looked up at the High Lord unflinchingly, “When Azriel comes for me - and he will - I’ll ask him for your head on a pike.”
Beron sneered, “If he and his half-breed Lord decide you’re worth the trouble, I’ll kill your little Shadowsinger first and reduce him to ash.”
You set your jaw, refusing to look away as the High Lord turned on his heels and left the room. Only then did you sink to your knees exhausted and breathed in the scent of damp, rotting earth.

Can you make an Aphrodite reader x Luke fic where she’s has low self esteem and he’s like your so beautiful!??? And she’s like stop your lying to me :( and he kisses her idk?
pretty isn't pretty — luke castellan
Tumblr media
pairing: luke castellan x aphrodite fem!reader
warnings: mentions of self doubt and self esteem issues
a/n: oh how i've missed writing luke fics
masterlist !
꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱
being the daughter of aphrodite was hard for y/n. her mother always made her feel pressured as if she wasn't enough. that she wasn't pretty enough or liked enough.
that was until luke castellan came around. luke and y/n started dating less than a month ago when luke had saved her from a hellhound trying to enter the camp. he helped her to the infirmary and kept her company. the rest was history.
luke made y/n feel seen, adored. however she couldn't help but feel self conscious about her own looks when she saw her newest sister walking around camp. she had gorgeous blonde hair that flowed down her back like a waterfall. there were freckles placed so delicately on her skin, it made y/n's insides twist. her eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue anyone has ever seen, and her lips were as red as cherries.
y/n felt like a dud. she felt so small and unworthy of aphrodite's name when the new camper had gotten claimed.
what did y/n do when she felt like this?
she locked herself in her cabin all day.
yes it wasn't the most practical option, but she felt as if she had no other choice.
a knock on the cabin door brought her out of her demolishing thoughts.
"come in," she mumbles against her pillow.
luke walks inside the cabin and is instantly confused once he sees y/n curled under the covers of her bunk bed.
"sweetheart? you okay?" he kneals down besides the bed, and brushes the hair out of y/n's face.
"you know that new aphrodite camper?" luke nods, "i feel like my mother hates me."
luke's eyebrows only furrow as y/n covers her head with her blanket.
"i'm gonna need you to elaborate love."
y/n sits up with the blanket pooling at her waist. "i feel like the gods made a mistake or something. i don't belong in this cabin. i don't belong here. i'm not pretty enough to be in this cabin. i'm not smart enough to be in athena's. i'm not strong enough to be in hephaestus'. luke i don't know what i'm doing here."
"hey, hey no. we talked about this. you're more than enough, okay? you do belong here love. you belong in this cabin. you belong at camp. and you belong with me."
luke was now sitting on the bed facing his girlfriend. he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss upon her lips.
"i hate seeing you like this," his words are soft as the air brushes against y/n's. "i just can't believe you don't see what i see."
y/n moves her hands to fiddle with the curls at the back of luke's neck. "what do you see?"
luke lets out an airy chuckle.
"i see the most beautiful girl sitting right in front of me."
"luke," y/n cuts off her boyfriend with a groan.
"no, you didn't let me finish. i truly do think you're beautiful. not only your looks, but your soul. the most beautiful soul i have ever met."
he leans forward again and kisses the girl. this time she kisses back, making the kiss longer than the first one.
"what did i do to deserve you?"
luke shrugs with a smug look on his face, "oh i don't know, guess you couldn't resist my charm."

(request) Fernando Alonso x Fem!Reader Starting a committed relationship means telling all of your deepest secrets
Warnings: Mentions of negative mental health, mentions of abu$e, mentions of su!cide, talks of selfh4rm. I am begging you, don't read this if the topics discussed may trigger you
Note: I've never gone through anything like this myself so, with permission, I have based a little bit of the story on a very close friend of mine. It's not exact obviously, but there are elements of a real experience.
Tumblr media
You hadn’t been dating Fernando for very long. Just barely 3 months. It still felt like a very new relationship, even if people said otherwise. It had been enough time to realise that you might genuinely love him. He never pressured you, he never made you feel less than, and he always made sure to tell you that you were enough. Sure it was the bare minimum, but it was always nice to know people could be like that.
However, the fact was that you were scared to love him fully. You had almost sworn off dating completely because of your last partner. Your ex had made you feel so unworthy of everything. He had almost convinced you that he was the only person who would ever love you. Almost. Thankfully you had an amazing support system in your friends and most of your family. They had helped you get out of a horrible situation and they were with you the entire time, helping you recover from the trauma you had experienced.
When Fernando had told you he was serious about dating you, you had said to him that it would be a long while before you went further than kissing and holding hands. Like a true gentleman, Fernando had told you that he completely understood that some things would take time, but he was willing to wait for however long it took for you to be comfortable. Which is why today was so important for you.
“I’m nervous to show him, Y/f/n. What if he runs off after seeing it?” You had called your best friend, who was basically like your sister, trying to get rid of the rest of your nerves and anxiety.
“Babe, I’ve seen how he treats and looks at you. He won’t run off and you’ll be okay.” She said, “You’re so brave and incredibly beautiful and he will see that regardless of your skin and scars. I promise if he hasn’t said ‘I love you’ before, he definitely will after this.”
You scoffed. “Thank you but I doubt it. Once he sees he’s going to run for the hills.”
“Who’s running for the hills?”
You jerked your head around and saw Fernando walking through the door. You quickly said goodbye to your friend who wished you luck, and hung up the phone. You turned your body so that you were fully facing Fernando. Thankfully he could understand that this was going to be a serious conversation, so he gingerly sat next to you and took a hold of your hands.
“I need to tell you something important.” You said, keeping your eyes firmly on the space of blanket between you. His thumbs started rubbing circles over your knuckles, bringing you some comfort.
“I don’t need to know if you’re not ready to tell me.” He said softly.
“No. You need to know this.” You took a deep breath before you launched into your explanation. It was now or never.
“When I was in my early 20s, I was dating this guy. He was my first serious relationship that I’d ever had and for a time I thought he was going to be my future. I didn’t realise it at the time but he was very isolating, and controlling. There were times where he would scare me and laugh when I’d cry. He wouldn’t always, but he would often tell me that he was the only person who could ever love me, and for a time I believed him.” You didn’t want to count the amount of times your voice had already cracked.
“It really took a toll on me. So much that in the last few months of that relationship, I started to hurt myself. Because part of me thought he was right. When he found out what I was doing, he started to- He started-”
Fernando wiped a tear from your face. When had you started crying?
Taking in another big breath, you continued. “He started to hurt me as well. He would press on them while they were fresh and he would bruise me to see the colours. If my brother hadn’t walked in, I probably would’ve taken my life.” You finally looked at Fernando’s face and saw that he had begun crying too. Lifting one of your hands you wiped his gathering tears.
“I decided that if our relationship is going to go further, then you need to see what I did to myself.”
You slowly stood up, taking your hands from his, and began to shimmy your trousers down until they were pooled at your feet. You kept undressing before you could chicken out. You took your cardigan off and your shirt followed soon after. Standing there, in front of Fernando in just your undergarments, your scars were on full display. The scars on your thighs and stomach had been healed over for many years now but they still looked just as angry as the day they appeared. You had to force your arms to stay at your sides instead of curling around your stomach like they wanted to. You tried your best not to flinch when Fernando brought his hands up to gently trace them with his fingers.
Fernando looked up at you from where he was still sitting. He looked at every inch of your face and he saw just how broken you were. His heart hurt just thinking about all the abuse you were put through. He took hold of your hands again and slowly dragged you closer to him, giving you plenty of time to back away if you wanted to.
When you stood directly in front of him, he wrapped his arms gently around the back of your thighs and laid his head to rest on your stomach. Your hands were on his shoulders.
“You don’t know how incredibly strong you are, Mi Vida. You are so, so strong and I’m so lucky to be with you now.”
By now the both of you had tears streaming down your faces. Neither of you bothered enough to wipe them off. You were terrified of how your relationship was going to continue, if it was continuing at all.
You felt Fernando leave soft kisses just over your scars, as if he was afraid to hurt you by pressing more firmly. Quiet sobs broke their way past your lips. Your grip on his shoulders tightened just a bit.
“Please don’t leave.” You whispered, voice heavy with emotion. Fernando loosened his grip and stood up to cup your face in his hands. You brought your own hands to rest on his wrists as he held you.
“There is not a single thing about you that would make me leave.” His thumb brushed a stray tear away. “I love you more than I can say.”
Hearing his words, you closed your eyes and began sobbing harder. Your arms wrapped tightly around his waist as you buried your head into his chest. Fernando hugged you close to him and gently caressed the back of your head.
“Thank you for being brave enough to tell me.”

totally not self-indulgent
cw: mdni, gender neutral, yandere themes, definitely not based on argenti, probably very mediocre
Tumblr media
yandere knight who is completely and utterly devoted to his majesty. he would lay down his life for HER without question. SHE was his everything; his sole reason to live. he traveled the galaxies for the slightest glimpse of HER, dreaming of nothing more than to be granted the privilege of seeing HER beauty.
he woke with a start as yet another dream faded away into reality. he was so close, so fucking close to seeing HER. his hands tangle in his long locks and he tugs on them out of frustration. he was growing less and less sure of his faith. he believed in his majesty and would continue to do so, but he was growing tired.
"why must you spite me so?" he questions into his empty room. "why must you toy with my heart and mind?" he just wanted to see HER, to finally lay his eyes upon the beauty that was his majesty. "am i unworthy of seeing your beauty?" he didn't care if he died on the spot from seeing such beauty. in fact, he'd happily take death if he could just fucking see HER.
yandere knight who's grip tightens on his sword as he slays yet another follower of a rivaling god. blood soaks his armor and drips down from the ends of his hair. even killing for his majesty wasn't as satisfying anymore. he was beginning to doubt his own faith. maybe SHE wasn't as real as he thought SHE was. maybe he was just as insane as everyone believed him to be.
yandere knight who was too lost in his mind to see an approaching ship. he's jolted out of his thoughts as his own ship collides with a much larger one. he grips onto his seat and just stares forward. he knows he should apologize for doing seemingly the impossible. you two were drifting along the cosmos for fuck's sake. how could you possibly bump into someone in this vast space?
yandere knight who feels that familiar light returning to him once he lays his eyes on you. you were breathtakingly beautiful. he couldn't even process what you were saying he was so enamored. he had always known beauty, but nothing quite like this. if he knew what his dear majesty looked like, then he'd be able to tell if you rivaled HER beauty. that thought felt wrong somehow, like SHE couldn't compare to you. but SHE was a god, so that couldn't possibly be right.
yandere knight who completely forgot his purpose after you two parted ways. he couldn't even find it in himself to spread word of his majesty. SHE was long forgotten in his mind as you plagued his thoughts more and more. you ate away at his sanity as he questioned everything he once knew. he was a knight of beauty, one with whom was utterly devoted to his majesty. so why did he only want to worship you?
yandere knight who finally caught up with the mysterious figure in his dream. his hand grasped tightly onto their shoulder. he knew his hold was much too tight, but he was afraid that they'd disappear if he held them any looser.
"i've finally caught up to you," he whispers. "i would like to see your face, my majesty. i want to worship you and everything you are." he slowly, but carefully turns the figure around to face him. his breath catching in his throat as he's greeted with none other than your face.
he's on his knees before he can even properly process what's going on. he bows his head and kisses your feet. he was going to worship you from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head. you were his everything. his sole purpose in living. he was completely and utterly devoted to you now.
yandere knight who desperately searches the cosmos for you. he was growing more and more frantic as time stretched on. when he had left you, he had promised to see you again once fate allowed it. now, he was beginning to loathe the mere concept of fate. why should he wait for the universe to tell him when and where he could see you again?
yandere knight who breaks down immediately when he sees you again. his knee pads scrape against the pavement as he crawls closer to you. he reaches up and, with shaky hands, intertwines your fingers together. he desperately wanted to remove his gloves and feel the softness of your palm against his own, but he knew he shouldn't. you were a god and he was just your devoted follower.
"my majesty," he whispers. he lifts your hand up to his mouth and grazes your knuckles with his lips. "i've finally found you again." he lifts his gaze up to meet your own. he knows you're probably uncomfortable, but he can't help himself. his heart and soul belonged to you and he wouldn't hide it.
he pushes himself up to stand before you. his grip tightens on your hands when you try to pull away. "come with me. let me worship you the way i should." he can feel you resisting, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. you were his god now and he couldn't lose you. he would worship you until he took his final breath.

What if adam got a angel like how lilith got lucifer?
How would a yandere lucifer and lilith react to finding adam talking to a angel.
Ooohhhh, a short one-shot.
Part 5 of Theirs.
TW! Mutilation
Lilith watched with a glare as she saw Adam talking to what looked like a very small angel. It almost looked like a bee. A bee that wouldn't buzz off.
Adam talked to them with a small smile on his face while Lilith just stood behind him. The bee angel called themselves Beatrice. She seemed happy to talk with the First Man.
And Lilith couldn't stand it. How dare Adam talk to anyone that wasn't her or Lucifer? Beatrice was just an insignificant bug. She wanted it gone. What really made Lilith's blood boil was how casually Beatrice touched Adam.
Oh, this bitch wanted to play? Thought she was innocent and that she could manipulate Adam? Her poor baby. He couldn't tell when someone was bad news. Well, it didn't matter. She would take care of it. For Adam.
Lilith waited under the forbidden tree impatiently. She was told by Lucifer that she should wait here and yet she had been waiting for what felt like hours. Growling to herself, She sat down in a huff. It was a good thing Adam was already asleep. Their poor baby was just so tired. Being pregnant can do that to a person.
She glanced to the right when she heard the distinct sound of wings. Lucifer was here. She grinned when she saw her lover. "Do you have her?" Lilith questioned.
Lucifer nodded. "Of course. It put up a struggle but did you ever really doubt me?" Lilith just smiled. She laughed softly and looked down at his hands.
The bee angel, or cherub as Lucifer called it, was struggling, clearly terrified.
Good. It should be. What did that thing expect to happen by touching what was theirs? Did this silly little bug think it would actually get away with it?
Lucifer was smirking as well, squeezing the thing as it cried.
"We want you to know why we're doing this." Lucifer began. "You put your hands on something you had no business touching. As an Archangel, I deem you unworthy of even stepping on Eden’s soil, much less touching the First Man."
" I don't understand!" Beatrice cried. " I just wanted to see what our Lord created!"
" Oh, you did much more than just look," Lilith said with a growl. "You dare stand before us and act like you didn't touch what was ours?"
"You're insane!" The bee yelled. "Just wait until Michael hears about this!" Poor choice of words. Lucifer hated his brother. Beatrice's stinger was pulled out from the root. She cried in pain and anguish as it left her body.
"Perhaps don't mention the archangel's brother?" Lilith suggested with a laugh. She turned to a still-seething Lucifer and said, "I say we go for the wings next."
" No, please!" The cherub begged, but it was no use. Lilith pulled the wings at an excruciating pace, biting her lip as it tore easily. They took turns pulling different body parts off, kissing each other every once in a while.
The legs were next, their ugly body parts being thrown next to them. Lucifer particularly enjoyed scooping at the eyes. Soon, the dirt was mixing with the gold blood that dripped off of them. The body was unrecognizable. Lucifer finished the cherub off by aiming his holy light at the head. The bug convulsed for a while before going limp, blood and drool leaking from its mouth.
" What do we do with the body?" Lilith asked, looking at the mutilated angel. Lucifer simply shrugged before bringing forth more holy light. He destroyed the angel's body until there was nothing left by ash. They spread the ash onto the ground, completely covering the evidence.
They wash themselves in a nearby creek before joining Adam underneath a nearby tree. Their baby was sleeping so soundly, oblivious to the carnage that just happened.
" He's so cute," Lilith said, kissing his lips softly. Adam let out a little groan but didn't wake up. "I know! Look how fat his chest has gotten. So adorable." Lucifer cooed and kissed him as well. They both snuggled up to him, satisfied that the problem was over.

after hours visits
'one look and they'll know' collection masterlist See my full list of works here!
Placement: hours after 'a tale of ice baths and hot sauce'
Summary: An unwelcome visitor knocks at the door of Tom's hotel room while you two were trying to enjoy your evening together
Pairing: Tom Hiddleston x Reader
Word Count: 2.7k
Warnings: 18+ | smuttish steamy moments (minors & pearl clutchers please exit the chat…like right now); coitus interruptus; language; insecure reader moment towards the end; mentions of cheating (not Tom, our precious meow meow would never); Brynne (yeah she's a warning now) [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: established relationship
Tumblr media
"I think we should break the facade," Tom exhaled softly, his breathing already evened out while he held you to his naked body in a blissful post-coital haze, fingers aimlessly stroking your hair. "There were far too many comments today that had me fuming, it physically hurt me to hold back my tongue. Those immature, disrespectful--" He let out a sigh, chest muscles tensing under your touch telling you he was getting worked up over just the memory of how you were undoubtedly the topic of immature locker room chatter. What with your flowy little outfit earlier today and the hickeys your boyfriend so generously placed throughout your neck last night and early this morning.
"I'll make a note to cover up a little more tomorrow," you murmured, absentmindedly tracing the curls of his chest hairs with your fingertips, silently stewing in your own irrational jealous annoyance because of the comments so carelessly thrown his way. "Sorry, sweetie."
"Why are you apologizing for their disrespect, goddess?"
"Force of habit," you sighed. "And I know it gets to you that these guys are just flat out disgusting because they think they can be, so if I can ease that a bit I can just--"
"I don't want you to prioritize anyone's comfort but your own, and they'll make those comments even if you're wearing sweats. What ticked me off wasn't that your clothes made them let out those revolting comments, but that they said those things and I couldn't say anything to get them to stop. That the subject of their sexual daydreams was already unavailable because--"
"Because I'm yours," you finished for him, placing a soft kiss on the mark on his shoulder from your wakeup call shenanigans this morning that became quite prominent. "And that same subject of their stupid little daydreams gave you that."
He tilted your chin upwards, pressing his lips to yours and letting out a sound of contentment when you let him deepen the kiss and his tongue began to gently tangle with yours. "Yes you did, sweetheart," he mumbled against your lips, stealing another kiss as he wrapped his free arm around you to pull you on top of him, pressing your chests together. "I didn't like having to bite my tongue when they were being so vile about you, talking about how you were probably a hellcat followed by bitter retorts of you probably being a lousy lay. They shouldn't be so bold to talk about you. They're unworthy to even be saying your name let alone thinking such lewd thoughts that should only be mine."
"Then tell them exactly that," you told him, kissing along his jawline until you felt the tension in him start to subside. "We said we would keep things private, not secret. And if our privacy comes at a price that one of us isn't willing to pay anymore, then we start making it…less private." You began to smirk against his skin when you heard the most minute whimpers once you started kissing his neck. "Besides, just because we're not super quiet about it doesn't mean we're suddenly gonna start fucking in the middle of the field because I for one do not want to have to wash the grass off of me," you finished with a little giggle, letting out a squeal when his hands grasped your waist and began to maneuver you again, sliding you easily down his body until your hips were nearly aligned with his.
"Sometimes I'm convinced there's still sand on me from Ibiza," he chuckled, playfully nipping at your shoulder when you started laughing along. The memory played in your head so vividly of the day you made a mental note that while 'sex on the beach' made for a naughty bucket list item and the occasional indulgent drink, it wasn't meant to be more than that.
"Impossible," you murmured, letting out a soft moan when your lips met his again in a delicate kiss. "We've checked. More than twice. It's been years." You both laughed into your kiss, the sound quickly turning into breathy moans when you felt him lining himself up at your entrance. "Again?" you asked him breathlessly, fighting back the urge to make a quip about his stamina knowing full well that if you did, you'd be feeling the consequences of that comment until well after the match was done on Sunday.
"You should know by now that I'm nowhere near finished with you for--"
Knock knock knock
"What in the world--We didn't order anything!" Tom called out toward the direction of the door, the lust quickly returning to his expression as if you two were never interrupted to begin with when he turned back to face you, his hands moving your hips so that they started rolling against his and making you delirious for him again. "Now, before we were so rudely interrupted--"
Knock knock knock
"Fucking dammit," you hissed out, your voice dropping an octave into your more 'boss lady domineering' tone and making you feel the tip of his length twitching against you in response. "Really?"
"You know the effect you have on me, goddess. After all this time are you honestly surprised?" he quipped back, nipping at your skin again as he started to move you again, only this time it was on to your side of the bed. No doubt so he could make himself somewhat decent and address whoever was on the other side of the door.
That was until you heard the person in question speak.
"Mr. Hiddleston? It's uhm…I'm from staff and I was wondering if you needed anything from me—I mean us before we all locked up for the night?"
"Fucking hell, it's Brynne," you spat out, the dislike even more pronounced when you said her name. "The fuck is she doing here?"
"And does committee staff really go door to door asking if players need anything or…?" he trailed off, hand immediately wrapping around yours when you sat up from the bed, your shoulders squared as if you were readying yourself for a face off.
"We had no more duties for the night. And I was the one that locked up. Hours ago." Your blood began to boil when her words from this morning about 'shooting her shot' came barreling back to you. "This bitch is here to try her chances with you. Again," you seethed, the gesture of his thumb stroking the back of your hand doing nothing to soothe you.
"Answer the door, then, my love."
His words broke through your raging thoughts, your gaze finding his like you were looking for confirmation that you understood exactly what he was saying. "You're sure?"
He brought your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles as he kept your gaze with those unfairly beautiful eyes like there was a star that paid rent just behind them. "You're clearly distressed with how brazen she's become. Don't get me wrong, I adore how insatiable we get when either of us becomes a touch possessive." He scooted a bit closer to you, eyebrows scrunching together in a second's irritation when Brynne started talking again outside, wrapping his arm around you and pressing a line of delicate kisses from your shoulder across your collarbone. "But your prolonged discomfort is too high a price to pay for our privacy. I refuse to endure you paying it for the rest of this week."
"You're sure you want this?" you choked out, whimpering against his lips when he sought yours out. You mentally smacked yourself for even asking it. You knew exactly where he stood when it came to your relationship. His words from a few years ago echoed tauntingly in your head.
I know you're not ready yet, but I want you to know that I am. I've always been.
"Completely," he murmured against your lips, pressing one last kiss before stepping off the bed and starting to make his way to the closet. "I'll get you a robe--What are you up to, sweetheart?"
He began to smirk as you shook your head, standing from the bed yourself and walking over to his discarded jersey on the floor. "Yeah, no…fuck that. If we're painting a picture, I'm making sure she doesn't have any room for misinterpretation," you told him with a cheeky little wink as you slipped the jersey over your head, indulging yourself of the view of your boyfriend walking into the bathroom without a stitch of clothing on him before you answered the door to a visibly irritated and bewildered Brynne.
"Mister Hi--Oh, Y/N. I'm so sorry, I must've gotten the wrong room." She plastered on a wide smile as her gaze nearly felt like nails on a board the second she clocked Tom's jersey looking like an oversized t-shirt dress on you.
"Well hey Brynne," you greeted her with an equally fake wide smile, taking note of the lacy navy blue silk camisole and shorts she was wearing. "You look all dolled up. Are you looking for someone?"
She started to pull at the hem of her shorts, suddenly seemingly self-conscious at how scantily dressed she really was. "Uhh…yeah. I could've sworn this was Player 6's room, but I must've remembered wrong do you rem--"
"No no, you're in the right place," you answered simply, practically seeing the gears turning in her head as she put the bigger picture together. Come on you're so close. Figure it out and get the fuck out of here, you sneered in your head.
Her expression quickly became haughty, looking like a kid that just caught their classmate stealing the answer key to a major test. "And what exactly would your boyfriend have to say about you being here? Wearing Hiddleston's jersey and probably nothing else? Or maybe…he's on your list and now your boyfriend that you claimed earlier today you were so happy and in love with is back in your room trying to pretend that he's okay with--"
Maybe not close enough. "Wow, your brain must be extra smooth," you scoffed, cutting her off again. "You really wanna know what my boyfriend would think? Why don't we go ask him." You turned away from her to call out in the direction of the bathroom. "Hey sweetie, you know I'm wearing your jersey, right?"
"Hold on, he's--"
Tom's answer, echoed by the bathroom tiles, stopped her words short. "Yes and it's an outright crime that you're not letting me see you wearing my jersey. So if you could please do away with our visitor, that would be great, my love."
You turned back to face your visitor who was now visibly seething at you, her face contorted into an expression of pure indignation. "You can go now," you told her as calmly as you could manage, clearing your throat and letting your voice drop an octave lower before you continued. "There's nothing you could offer him that he couldn't get from me."
The second she stepped back from the doorway, you closed the door on her, not even giving her a chance to let out a snarky comment in return. That didn't stop her from yelling out in the hallway, however. "He'll get tired of you! You don't deserve him, you snobby little bitch!"
Much as you tried to let the words just roll off your back like you'd done for the better part of the last decade, on nights like this they still stung. They still got to you. Just thinking about how easy it was before to have a relationship slip through your fingers over someone just like Brynne that so audaciously made her way to your then boyfriend's hotel room while he was on a business trip.
The half-hour sobbing phone call where he managed to blubber up a guilt trip of how you shouldn't "just throw away a year long relationship over something that meant nothing".
"You think I don't know that?" you mumbled, deadpanned, trying to block out her sardonic yelling muffled by the door.
You'd gotten so lost in your unwelcome trip down memory lane to your time before Tom that you didn't hear your boyfriend's footsteps padding toward you until his hands gently grasped your shoulders, coaxing you to turn and face him.
"It seems she refuses to receive the message that she's not welcome," he commented, looking intently at your expression and gauging where your thoughts were. "Y/N?" When he called your name, you tried to shake all the haunting memories from your head, giving him a bright smile. "Don't do that, sweetheart. Don't wear your mask around me." He shook his head at you, framing your face with his hands before kissing your fake smile away.
"I can't not hear her," you admitted. You could actually feel your ears straining from your efforts to block out her bitterness from the other side of the door.
The feel of Tom pressing tender kisses to your temple had you letting out the breath you realized you were holding, feeling as if he was lifting away a weight at your chest. "Just focus on me, goddess. Her words mean nothing to us." He kissed his way down to your lips, murmuring against your skin, "If she insists on trying to make us listen to her childish remarks, then it's only right for us to return the favor."
He wrapped his arm around your waist to pull you flush against him, holding you steady when your knees went weak as he licked into your mouth. You felt his smirk when you let out a muffled moan from him tracing along the roof of your mouth. You could barely gasp out any words when he pulled away. "What--"
"If she won't leave then she'll simply have to stay out there and hear us." He moved you until you felt your back against the door, his fingers skimming the sides of your body over his shirt. "Hear how much I love you…" He pressed a trail of soft kisses down the side of your face and along your jawline, just like you had minutes earlier. "How devoted I am to you…"
He proceeded to suck another bruise into a spot behind your ear, nipping at your skin when you let out an indecent moan that you were sure was heard by your neighboring rooms. You vaguely wondered if it was loud enough that you two were practically goading someone to call security with a noise complaint against you, but as you felt Tom's lips latch on to the base of your throat and proceed to give it the same treatment, you realized that you honestly couldn't bring yourself to care that much.
"And most importantly," he mumbled as he kissed at a spot above your heart, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle yet firm embrace. "How no matter how hard anyone tries, there is no one that will ever succeed in taking me from you." He pressed his forehead to yours, brushing his nose across yours. "My body, my heart, they're yours, goddess. They've always been."
All the words you had stopped in a lump at the back of your throat. The only thing you could do was throw your arms around his neck and pull him into a kiss that you tried to pour your heart into. Words were never your forte. "I love you," you breathed out, letting out a little squeal when you felt his hands grasp the backs of your thighs to lift you into his arms and make you wrap your legs around him.
"And I love you." His lips never left yours as he leveraged you against the door, grinding his hips against yours while he slowly lifted the hem of his jersey up to your stomach, only pulling away when he playfully swatted your hands away when you made a motion to take the garment off. "No no, sweetheart. You know how I adore you in my clothes. The jersey stays on."

Intomba: Young Love
Tumblr media
A/N: Hey Yaw! I know I been gone but I been busy. But I’m here now and I come baring gifts lol. For some reason this story is really close to my heart. Like I LOVE reader and Shuri! I combined my love for Angst with my love for a pretty love story and I hope you guys love it as much as I’m enjoying writing it.
Word Count: 9.6k
Pairing: Shuri/Reader
Contains: Friends to lovers, underage kissing, Love story, Angst, Struggle, Prison Shuri, manipulation, No smut for now this isn’t a smit heavy fic. There will be but I just wanted to write a story.
Tumblr media
“Oh,God! Oh My God! I can’t believe it!” Bound to her wooden floors, her eyes locked onto mine. Stunned I should guess. Was it from my hardened appearance, or did my presence in general offend? I couldn’t have known. As our gazes lingered upon eachothers, I couldn’t help but notice after all these years, her eyes were still filled with a certain purity, guiltlessness, innocence. A simplicity, that I hadn’t been blessed to be in the presence of for a long time. Eight years to be exact. I couldn’t help but feel unworthy of it’s presence. Breaking our stare, I look down at my feet as they shuffle from side to side. Self-consciousness trickling through my veins as I continue to feel her gaze.
“I-I know I didn’t call. I didn’t have a number, only this address. I could find somewhere el-“
My body froze as I suddenly felt her body come in contact with mine. Rushing into me, she throws her arms around my neck. She trembled against me, and my eyes shut tight. The warmth of her embrace sending shock waves to my system. My arms remaining at my sides my mind not quite computing how to engage with the softness of this embrace. As my eyes remain shut I feel her pull away and soon after, fingertips gently caress each my cheeks. Slowly sliding from my cheeks, down my neck, and down my arms. She traced the art that now shadowed my caffeinated skin. “It’s really you.” The words pour softly from her lips, and I open my eyes slowly looking down at her lovingly.
“I’m not so sure about that.” I whisper, my eyes glazing over allowing her to continue surveying me as we stand in her doorway. Those eyes, they lift from my arms back up to my own, brows furrowing as she searches for meaning. I can spot the exact moment she finds it. Grabbing my hand, she lightly tugs at my arm guiding me inside of the small apartment. Once the door closes behind us, her arms wrap around me once again.
I grip onto her, hands shaking as they grip onto her waist. I can feel the dam about to break. But, She still knew me. She could feel it, smell it on me. Her hand gently rubbed my back. “It’s ok. You’re safe now Shuri.” And with no urge to fight,I close my eyes allowing the tears to flow as I breath her in, head buried into her neck. It hits like a wave, my body shaking with sobs as my knees went weak, and we sank to the floor. “I’m sorry Shuri. I’m so sorry this happened to you.” She sits in the center of the floor, my head on her bossom as her hands delicately stroke the top of my head; allowing me to release emotions that hadn’t been safe for me to release for eight years of my life.
And that’s who she was to me. My Amanzi, My water. When life would suck me dry. I ran to her and she replenished me.
I’m sorry. I don’t believe I’ve properly introduced myself. I’m Shuri. Now a days they call me Qamata. But, we’ll get into that later. I should explain what’s happening here. As i’m sure you’ve guessed, I’d just been released from prison, for what had supposed to have been a ten year bid. I got out in eight on good behavior. I was just a kid when I went in. 18. And there I was at 26 able to carry everything I owned in a paper trash bag. I remember feeling low. The equivalent of garbage. Cast away.
However, I wasn’t the delinquent youth that I’m sure you all are picturing. Far from it. I was top of my class. Dual enrollment. I’d graduated highschool at 17 as valedictorian, and having already secured a bachelors degree from the most prestigious university in Wakanda; where I would’ve finished out my education in Network engineering and computer science, had everything gone the way it was supposed to. But, Bast did it not. At a point in time I despised this life that I chose. It had taken the person I loved most in the world away from me. My brother.
At a point in time my father was the most feared man in the place we call The Bricks. His name was T’Chaka, they called him Uthixo. God Father. Pretty self-explanatory. He peddled his poisonous products to our community without remorse. Not a single regret. He was merciless, cold. So much so that he’d killed his own brother in cold blood after finding out that he was consorting with the enemy. Turned out my uncle N’Jobu, had been being held captive. Working for them under the pretense that his families lives would be taken. My father knew this. He still killed him, stating that N’Jobu was a liability. That was my father. His carelessness eventually cost him and my brother their lives. They were killed the same day. Their bodies riddled with bullets. My father and brother dangled from light poles on display like trophies.
T’Challa, my brother, he didn’t deserve it. He hadn’t wanted that life. And neither did I. My mother, myself, and my sister were exiled in a way. Shunned into dilapidated buildings struggling to make ends meet. My mother fell sick, and my sister was useless. She sold her body, and the proceeds went to her poisonous habit. She’d had three children since then that ended up mostly under the care of my mother. So as soon as I was of age I began to work in the mines. It was hard back breaking work for anyone, especially a teenage girl. But, it was my only option. My name. My Fathers name preceded me wherever I went. I worked hard to turn it around. And I began to succeed.
I am a certified Genius. If anybody was going to get us out of The Bricks. It would be me. But,  Love. Love makes us silly, Ngaba akunjalo (Does it not)? I took one look at that pretty chocolate skin. Those big Doe eyes, and that big gravity defying hair and fell into a deep bottomless pit of eternal love….In love with you Sthandwa Sami. The girl who saw me hoarding my food from the cafeteria to take to my niece and nephews; even though I myself was by every definition of the word starving. So you started packing me a lunch everyday. Making me eat it infront of you. Stubborn Haha. The only person in the world who could tell me what to do. If only I’d known that that was only the begining of the things you’d be to me.
In all of my life, there were only two constants. Tragedy. And You. I remember the day everything changed. The day I knew I was in love with you.

Your buttery brown skin saturated with the suns rays blessed Shuri’s vision. Sitting across from her, a beauty that had changed the trajectory of her exsistence. Physically, you were a goddess to young Shuri, yes. It was apparent in the way she incessantly stole glances. Bast’s light shining on you making your skin, the shade of nutmeg, gleam like pyrite stone. Eyes like buttered chocolate, swirled with caramel crescent moons. Your juicy lips appearing as though they’re dripping in manuka honey. Big curls sat atop your head like a crown. Unapologetically kinky, defying earths gravity.
However, it was more than tangible for Shuri. Deeper than the eyes would meet. Your beauty was the flower be-speckled in the thin light of dawn. But, it was also the volunteer in a soup kitchen on a holiday missing their own family meal. It was majesty and self-sacrifice, it was all of the wonders of the natural world and our spiritual wholeness. It was the embodiment of the love God had for her people. For who are we to be blessed to walk amongst such an ethereal beauty.
“Shuri? Shuri!?” Shuri was startled out of her thoughts, sitting up straight in her seat. The pretty girl that had her transfixed, now speaking to her. She cleared her throat trying to play it cool.
“Yea? What’s up?” Scratching the back of her head, she looked down at the books infront of her, trying to avoid eye contact. Her heart heart rate was excelerated, and her face heated, she’d been caught.
“You’re not paying attention.” Finally, her eyes raise. Looking into deep brown orbs she could so easily get lost in. So beautiful.
“Yo. I was listening.” She spoke up defensively slouching back against her chair. Mirroring her actions from across the table, you cross your arms across your chest, squinting your eyes at your friend, cocking your head to the side.
“What did I just say, Shuri?” Shuri’s lower lip disappears between her teeth as she tries to swallow a smile. Her eyebrows raise, and her eyes shift from side to side. Your eyes narrow as the smile broke across her face, her eyes turning apologetic.
“I’m sorry.” She chuckles. Rolling your eyes,  you suck your teeth quickly picking up and throwing it across the table at her. She catches it effortlessly. “A pencil?” Her eyes widen in faux shock. “You’re really trying to hurt me.” She says hand coming up to clutch her chest dramatically before a smirk curled her pretty lips.
“Yea, because you’re supposed to be helping me, but you keep zoning out!” Your face scrunches up in frustration. Though you couldn’t help but to admire how cute and dramatic Shuri was. With her perfectly chisled face, pretty lips, and perfect smile. Your tummy tingled a bit as the two of you seemed to get lost in eachothers gaze.
“Shhh!” Shuri’s attention was immediately grabbed by the sound. Her gaze snapping to a young man staring at you two his annoyance apparent, and so was Shuri’s. He’d interrupted a moment of rarity between the two of you everyone knew that Shuri’s annoyance wan much more dangerous than the average persons. The smile was still plastered on her face, her bottom lip now resting between her teeth. You see her glance your way out of the corners of her eyes and you shake your head.
“Shuri..” She turns to you fully throwing her hands up in defense.
“I’m not going to bother him Y/n. He’s absolutely correct. We should act like we have home training? We’re in a library. We should conduct ourselves properly. Yea?” Knowing better, your brow raises a frown distorting your face.
Shuri leans back in her seat a genuine smile plastered on her face, before her gaze returns to the boy.
“He’s safe Amanzi. However, for future references. It’d behoove you to watch your tone when you speak to her.” Suddenly her tone turned serious, eyes steadfast on him, the smirk on her face leisurely becoming a grimace. The boy shifts in his seat clearly uncomfortably. Shuri turned in her chair hunching over placing her elbows to her knees only deepening the stare staring a hole into the side of his face. Quickly closing his books, shoving them into his back pack, he scurries off to find a safer table.
“Ah maaaann! Are you leaving? Don’t goo!” She called after him sarcastically.
“He didn’t even say anything. Why’d you do that?” You chastise her.
“Yea he did. Remember? He said Shh. And it’s not what he said it was the maliciousness
in his tone.” A malicious grin spread across her face.
“Malicious- Girl.” You roll your eyes as laughter erupts from her throat. “We’re sorry!” You call after the boy.”
“Speak for yourself, thando” She replies.
You look at her like she’s crazy as she shrugs her non chalance.
“Anyway Shuri. If you’ve had enough of being a bully, could you please help me with this fucking calculus I only made it into this class because of you.”
Shuri’s outdated Kimoyo beads buzz against her wrist and another apologetic look crossed her face. You release an exasperated sigh, slouching down into your chair.
“Put your lip up. It’ll only take a second.”
“Khawulezisa!! (Hurry up)” You say. Shuri’s eyes roll to the back of her head as she see’s the holorgraphic name that appears. With great hesitance she answers the call.
“Challan, I’m at the library.” She answers, irritation seeping from her pores.
“Your Umama, is in the hospital. My kids were unattended for 3 hours.” Shuri’s heart drops into her stomach, immediately sitting up straight in her seat. Concern instantly crosses your face your back also straightening.
“What are you talking about?” Shuri could feel her heart racing in all of her pulse points while she waited for her sister to give her more details.
“Some complication with the cancer. I don’t fucking know. She’s good, but the kids haven’t eaten all day!” Shuri could feel her body began to heat up with rage.
“ChaCha! Feed them! They’re your kids! I don’t have time for this shit! What hospital did they take mother too?” A long suck of the teeth comes from the other end of the call and Shuri’s jaw clenches.
“What’s going on?” You mouth from across the table, and Shuri holds up a finger.
“If I had something to feed them with you think I’d be talking to you about it!” Shuri’s shut tightly as she counts backwards from 10 to try and calm herself.
“I don’t have any money Cha. Tell me where they took my mother.” She reiterated, rubbing a hand down her face, slouching against her chair once again. Your eyes never leave her watching her every movement.
“You’re lying. You always have money.”
“I have a job Cha…You should try one. I’m only 16. Im not a fucking millionaire. I’m making enough for bills, and food for me and mother. We’re barely scraping by with that. For some inexplicable reason, I’m still waiting for you to let me know where they took my mother Cha, I’m loosing patience.”
“She’s at General…You don’t care about your nephews and niece eating?”
“Just stay at the hospital. I’ll get them something when I get there.”  Shuri hangs up in her face. Standing to her feet, and you begin stuffing your belongings into your book bag hurriedly. Shuri’s eyebrows furrow as she watches you.
“What are you doing?” You look up at her like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“Coming with you to the hospital. Duh.”
“No. You need to stay here and finish studying. You’re exam is tomorrow.” Your head jerks back a look of offense taking over your face.
“Shuri get your shit together so we can go. Don’t play with me.” You finish putting away your things, throwing your bag over your shoulder.
“Stubborn.” Shuri huffed a small laugh, while doing as you said. You grab ahold of Shuri’s hand pulling her to the exit of the Library. The two of you running out, and hopping onto Shuri’s motorbike. You place on the extra helmet she always kept for you, and hold tightly to her waist before she takes off.

“Umama?” She speaks softly stepping quietly into the hospital room, hand in hand with you, not wanting to interrupt her if she was resting.
“Come on in baby. Im awake.” Ramonda announces her eyes lighting up at the sight of You and Shuri.
There was once a time in her life when her mother stood so tall, so strong. Graceful and elegant. Now she lie weak and frail. It rocked Shuri to her core everytime her eyes rested on her mother for too long.
“Umakazi! Umakazi!” The pitter patter of little feet followed the sound of little voices as they came crashing into their aunt, hugging onto her legs as she lowered herself wrapping them all into her embrace. You smile as you walk over to her mothers bed placing a gentle kiss to her cheek.
“Y/n, it’s good to see you.” She says lightly squeezing your hand.
“It’s good to see you too. I wish it was under better circumstances ofcourse. How are you?” A light smile lifting the corner of your lips.
“Blessed, intombi entle.” The smile on your lips widen. She never let her spirits fall no matter the circumstance and that was admirable to you for all that she had been through.
“Bast you all get bigger everytime I see you! Look at you.” A warm smile lingers on your lips as you watch Shuri tickle and interrogate her neice and nephews about their day.
“She loves those babies.” Ramonda chuckles as she watches along with you. You nod
“More than anyone, could truly understand.”
“Hey to you too sister.” Cha says sitting in the corner of the hospital room. Shuri looks up from the children only for a brief second. Still very off out from her and her sisters earlier conversation, but she chooses not to argue as of now. Instead she places a kiss to each child’s head and stands to her feet.
“Hey Cha.” She says before heading over to her mother. Removing your hand from Ramonda’s grasp you step back allowing Shuri access to her mother.
Leaning over her mother, she places a gentle kiss to her foerhead, smoothing her hand over hair, “How are you feeling, mama?” Ramonda looks up at her daughter a weak smile passing over her lips.
“I’m just fine little girl.” Shuri smirks. That was always her answer.
“Yea. Well I’ll let your doctor tell me how true that is.”
“Don’t you go getting all worked up over me now. How are you?” She asked lifting her hand to Shuri’s cheek.
“Worried mama.” Shuri whispers, eyes revealing the truth behind that statement.
“I am ok. My dear, and there’s no need at all to be worried. You have all the strength you need to survive, and not to mention an abundance of knowledge. You are an Udaku. As much you want to renounce that name It holds alot of power. Every once in awhile you’ll need to tap into it.” Shuri didn’t like this conversation. She didn’t like it one bit. Her eyes searched her mothers face a since of dread washing over her.
“Mama? What’s happening what’s going on?”
“I need to head out it’s getting late. Shuri you got cash so the kids can eat?” Cha stands from her seat appearing eager to leave. Shuri stands to her full height, over Cha’s attitude.
“You don’t see me talking to my mama?” Shuri’s face scrunches, and Cha folds her arms across her chest rolling her neck.
“Well like I informed you earlier. My children haven’t eaten all day. So I need to go and get them fed.”
“And since you’re depending on ME to feed them it would be smart of you to wait until I finish talking to mother.” Shuri rebuts
“I don’t have time to wait for you.” Shuri chuckles.
“Oh I’m sorry, is the crack calling?”
“Shuri!” Both you and Ramonda interject reminding her of the presence of Cha’s children.
The doctor enters the room, as Shuri and Cha grill each other from across the room.
“You must be Shuri.” A polite smile graced his face as he approached Shuri his hand outstretched.
“Yes.” She says softly before taking his hand to shake.
“Nice meeting you young lady. I am Doctor W’Kabi. There are a few things that I need to go over with you and your family. Is everyone in the room authorized to hear?” You stand to your feet.
“I’ll head out. Shuri how about you give me the money for the food and I take them downstairs to eat so you all can talk.” Shuri’s eyes soften at the sound of your voice. She nods reaching into her pocket to get her wallet.
“Uh! Excuse you? I don’t know her Shuri! She’s not taking my kids anywhere!” Her eyes land on you looking you over with a condescending stare.
“And I’m not giving YOU money. So it seems we’re at an empass here sister.” The tension growing thicker between the two siblings. Shuri’s eyes squinted, her legs slightly parting as she locked her fingers together at her hips. Cha’s nostrils flared as she looked back and forth between you two.
“Girl fuck you.” You immediately step forward..
“Uh uh, that’s enough. You may not know me but I know that Shuri is constantly sacrificing to help you feed your own children and your not about to keep disrespecting her in front of me.” Cha smirks stepping forward.
“Little girl, What do you think you’re gonna do?” Yoo step forward as well never being one to back down but Shuri immediately grabs your arm.
“Chill.” She says pulling you behind her. “Cha, this is not a problem you want. Now Y/n is going to take the kids to get food Sonwe can talk to the doctor.” Turning around to face you, Shuri sees that your eyes were still set on her sister. She touched your cheek bringing you back to her.
“Hey, calm down. Just handle this for me so I can find out what going on with my mother.” Your eyes finally land back on Shuri’s face as you calm down. You nod.
“I am. I got it. She’s just disrespectful as hell.” You say mumbling pulling yourself away from Shuri’s grasp and gathering the children. Shuri can’t help but smile a bit as she watches you leave the room. Knowing you would have much more to say. When all of the commotion was finally over Shuri brought her attention back to the doctor.
“I apologize for the disruption Doctor. You may continue.” Shuri looks over at her mother who had been abnormally quiet throughout the hostile exchange. She seemed dazed, just trying to keep herself awake. She turned back to the doctor needing to know what was going on.
“Yes.. Well.” Dr. W’Kabi says moving right along. “Earlier before your arrival we were discussing the current state of the cancer. Unfortunately, it has spread, and it’s becoming very aggressive, taking a major toll on her body. I’m sorry to say it’s only going to get worse from here.” It felt like a punch to the gut, and tears streamed from Shuri’s eyes.
“S-so what do we do? What do we have to do?” Shuri’s eyes glanced over the room. Challan remained steadfast in her spot almost looking as though this was all inconveniencing her.
“We’ve discussed it being best that your mother goes into a hospice facility.” Shuri froze. Her world begining to feel as though it was crashing around her.
“N-no, no, no. W-We can’t afford a facility.” Shuri says through her tears.
“There are low income options that are covered by the state th-“
“I know what you’re talking about, and I’m not letting my mother go there. They don’t give a fuck about those people!”
“Shuri..” Ramonda’s voice came out in a whisper behind her. Shuri turns to her mother.
“No mama. You’re not going there!”
“I-I’m sorry, young lady. Your mother has already allowed your sister to fill out the paper work.” Shuri’s head whipped around again. Confusion taking over her as she stared at the doctor in disbelief. She scanned the room once again her eyes like daggers landing on Cha.
“You did what mama?” She whispered, addressing her mother as she grimaced at her sister. “Cha doesn’t give a fuck about you! You let her sign you into a death trap?!” Her voice now raised, trembling with all of her bubbling emotions.
“You know what. I’m sick of your shit Shuri! I’m the oldest, and I can damn well help take care of mama!”
“Bitch! Your brain is fucking fried you can’t even take care of your damn kids!”
“STOP IT!” Ramonda’s voice carries throughout the room, strong this time making them both freeze as they had a stand off in the middle of the room.
“Doctor could you please give us a moment.” Dr. W’Kabi slightly bows his head as he steps out giving them space to talk.
“As long as the two of you are breathing. I don’t want to hear you disrespect eachother the way you have today. You’re treating one another like strangers and like it or not. The two of you are all you’ve got in this world. So you may not like eachother. But, you better figure out how to love. Do you understand me?” Both of the sisters held their poster. Looking the other over as though they were forever enemies.
“I said do you understand me!” Her vice raises again and the two of them finally answer their mumbled agreement.
“Challan step out.” Ramonda commands as Shuri’s nostrils flare, her breathing excelerated as she mugged her sister as she stormed from the room.
“Alright that’s enough Shuri.” Shuri snaps back around to her mother.
“Mama this is crazy!”
“What’s done is done. It’s my decision and I did what I had to do for you.”
“For me? This isn’t for me mama I need you. What am I supposed to do without y-“
“You’re gonna make it. Is what you’re going to do little girl.” Shuri shut her mouth. As the tears flow.
“I ca-can’t mama. I can’t.” Ramonda’s own tears began to flow.
“It’s time Shuri, and I need you to figure things out.”
“I don’t have anybody else. They’re gonna put me in the system.”
“No. Cha’s of age so I’ve allowed her to be placed as your legal guardian.” Shuri’s eye almost take over her face at this information.
“WHAT! Cha’s supposed to be my guardian and she’s hanging on to her kids by a thread!”
“Let me talk girl damnit….I wish that me and your father did better by all of you. I live in constant regret of the way the lifestyle we chose tore apart our family. What it did to my dear T’Challa.” Ramonda chokes up at the mention of Shuri’s brother who was killed along with her father fighting a senseless gang war. A tear fell from Shuri’s eyes. She missed her brother everyday. “ All of those late nights. The money. The power. And now I have nothing to give. Grief has made me sick in my body. I’ve held on this long for the two of you. Allowing Cha guardianship over you gives you time. And hopefully it will pull you closer again. You’ve been blessed with amazing gifts Shuri. Don’t let struggle over take you. Continue excelling in your studies and you’ll get all of you out of Brick District.”
“Ma- I”
“Shuri.. I’m not asking you. I need you to do this. I understand this is a lot to put on the shoulders of a teenaged girl and I hate that this is the only option. You need to focus. I need to know you hear what I’m saying.Take the curse from our families name.” Shuri looked at her mother her eyes clenching shut. This was it. She was her only way out.
“Yes Umama.” She whispers. Ramonda lifts her hand again raising it to Shuri’s cheek. “I love you child. And I’m so sorry for the life your father and I chose. But, you’ll be better. You’ll be great. Promise me that.” Shuri’s eyes fluttered as she held back tears.
“Yes Mother. I promise.” Shuri says softly.
Shuri leaned down. Placing a gentle kiss on her mothers cheek.
“Come see me as much as you can. I love you. But you’re not going to sit and sulk in this hospital with me any longer. They’ll be taking me shortly.” Shuri broke, she lay next to her mother a moment allowing her tears to fall as Ramonda comforted her. Rubbing her head as she snuggled into the crook of her neck.
“You’re going to be great girl. You’re going to change lives.“ Shuri lay there for a few more minutes before standing to her feet wiping away her tears.
“I love you mama.” Ramonda smiles.
“Go child. I’ll see you soon.” Shuri nods, slowly turning to walk out of her mothers room.
“Oh Shuri?” She calls and Shuri turns once more. “Tell Y/n how you feel.” Shuri’s heart drops into her stomach. Her sexuality had never been a topic of conversation between her mother and her. But, she knew. Of course she knew. This causes a light smile to lift the corners of Shuri’s lips, before she exited her mothers room.
Your head quickly lifts, as the door opens. You stand from the bench that you’d been sitting in, approaching Shuri, concern etched into your face. Shuri takes in her surrounding.
“Where’s Cha and the kids?” The tone of her voice almost broke you. Though her head was held high as she walked out of the room. Her voice gave way to her pain.
“Cha came and snatched them up. So I just came back to wait for you.” You say softly. Shuri nods, as you step forward.
“You ok?” Shuri just shakes her head, stepping forward into your arms. Her’s snaking around your waist, laying her forehead onto your shoulder, allowing her tears to flow. Silently, you wrap your arms around her shoulders lending your wordless comfort.
“Cha signed mother into the counties hospice facility.” She whispered against your neck. Her tears soaking through your shirt.
“What?” It comes out like breath, You were taken aback. Hospice? “Oh Bast. Shuri.” Your eyes welled as you rubbed gentle circles into her back. Her news struck a bit of fear within you. What now? What would happen to her? So many questions went through your mind but now wasn’t the time. You chose to continue lightly stroking her back as she wept into your shoulder.
“I can feel you worrying through your fingertips Amanzi.” Shuri says, pulling herself up. Almost as though it was reflex you reached up placing your hand to her cheek flicking away her tears with your thumb.
“I’m sorry. I-I’m just. What’s going to happen to you?”  Shuri sighs her hand coming up to grip the wrist of your hand that cupped her cheek.
“Cha is now my legal guardian.” Your mouth drops.
“Cha? Cha? As in your sister that can’t take care of her own kids? How does that work? Are you going to move with her? What if- “
“Y/n.” She cuts you off with a finger beneath your chin. Her thumb gently pressing against your lips, before it slides down your soft lips. Your body immediately froze. The touch felt so much more intimate than she’d ever touched you before. Your eyes locked on to hers as she spoke to you.
“I work. I’ll figure this out.” You let out a slightly shaky breath trying to cover up how much her touch had effected you.
“Shuri you’re only sixteen. There’s only so much you can handle.” Shuri’s thumb now traced your lower lip and it seemed as though her eyes were focused there before her gaze finally met yours.
“I don’t have a choice.” She whispered.
Your eyes welled. No matter how unfair. She was right. This was her reality. No amount of feeling sorry, or worrying about her was going to change that fact. So you swallow your tears. Looking up at her still wrapped in her embrace.
“And you’ll never go through it alone.” That was a solemn promise that you would forever keep. Shuri’s heart heard it. She nodded slowly. Eyes never leaving yours. It was a silent agreement that you would remain beside her through the thick of it. Little did either of you know there was a pull inside of both of you. To seal your agreement with a kiss. However neither of you wanted to loose the other. And not knowing the others intent caused you both to step out of the intimate embrace. Clearing your throats awkwardly.
“Uh, I should get you home.” You nod in agreement.
“Yea.”

The sun was begining to set as the two of you rode through the city. The two of you taking a short detour to Shuri’s so that she could give you notes for your exam tomorrow. The ride was quiet and peaceful. You held Shuri tight allowing her to process her thoughts. Once at her apartment building the two of you head up stairs. The trip was meant to be in and out, but Shuri would never allow you to be outside alone in her neighborhood. Though yours wasn’t the safest either, she’d never allow you to be hurt on her watch.
Unlocking the door to the apartment, You both step inside, and Shuri hits the the light switch….and nothing happens. Shuri flicks the switch back and forth a few times silently before her shoulders slumps. Her head drops and her eyes shut tightly. Before….
“Fuuuuck!” She hauls off punching the wall above the light switch several times. Her final straw for the day being reached.
“I’m tired! I’m of this struggle shit!” You could see the emotional exhaustion take over her. Her body finally collapsing to the floor and down you went with her. Cradling her head against your bossom.
“I know”, was all you could give. Because after the today there wasn’t much comfort in words. Shuri had been through enough to break most adults.
“You’re not alone Shuri. You’re not by yourself.” You whisper as you hold her rocking her in your arms. The two of you held that position. You hummed to her. Rubbing her head until you felt her breathing slow, her grip loosening around you.
“I should get you home.” You hear her muffled words.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You immediately rebut. Shuri pulls herself away from you, shaking her head.
“No. You need to get home. This is not your problem. I don’t have power or any food. I gave Cha my last few dollars for the kids. I’m tapped out. I’m going to take you home. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can get an advance at work or something. It’s only one night. I’ll figure it out.”
“You haven’t figured it out yet?” You ask.
“I’m not leaving you here alone, and hungry in the dark.”
“And just how do you plan to pull that off. Your mother hates me and my family. You think she’s about to let you have a sleep over at my place.” Shuri chuckles sarcastically. “Anyway, I can’t keep letting you do this. These are my struggles y/n. Maintaining a friendship doesn’t require you taking on my burdens. I would never ask that of you.”
“You haven’t. I’m offering my back to help carry some of the weight Shuri. You can’t do this alone. You were hit with a lot today, and I couldn’t sleep at night knowing your here pretending you don’t have anyone else. I love you, and right now you don’t need to be alone. More than ever you need someone in your corner, and it’s important to me that I’m that person, So let me be.” Shuri’s heart skips a beat as she looks into your eyes, her lip trembling. After the city had shunned her and her family, you’d stepped up. Refusing to lump her into her fathers sins. You and your friendship meant the world to her.
You stood to your feet reaching for her hand pulling her to her feet.
“I’m going to call Nevaeh and tell her I’m going to tell mom I’m staying with her. I’ll get a few dollars from her and some food. We’re going to get some candles and batteried for flashlights and we’re gonna thug this out together. And you don’t have a choice.”
Another tear rolled down Shuri’s cheek as she silently nodded letting out a small exhale. You reach up wiping away the tear quickly before taking your hand in hers.
“Let’s go.”
As of now there were so many words that Shuri wanted to say. So much gratitude she had that she wanted to spill over into you. She battled inside with it, and finally decided to settle on a simple. “Thank you.”

Shuri gets you home. Parking a block away so that noone notified your mother about who you’d been with. Their weren’t many parents who would be fond of their children befriending Uthixo’s daughter. So she steered clear of your mother. Not wanting to cause a riff in your home. So, you ran up to your apartment quickly to grab the things you’d need for the night, as Shuri sat waiting on her bike, under the disguise of the nights darkness.
Thunderous bass reached her ears before the brand new black escalade approaching her came into view. A long sigh escaped her lips. She rolled her eyes, taking off her helmet, swinging a leg over the front of her bike. She sat to the side elbows to knees…waiting. The truck slowly rolled to a stop in front of her. The window rolling down to a smile filled with gold.
“What up lil cuz! I ain’t seen you around these parts in a minute. I thought y’all let them run y’all outta town.” He chuckles. Shuri’s face scrunches up in annoyance.
“N’jadaka.” Her voice was nonchalant. Demeanor calm, as she waited for her older cousin to state his business.
“I can’t check up on family? We are still family. I know Unc didn’t give a fuck about that. But, I do. Y’all been straight? I’ve seen Cha around and she not lookin’ too good.” His eyes appeared concerned but the small smirk on his lips showed his true face. Shuri chuckled unamused.
“Funny…You think we don’t know you’re feeding her the shit that’s got her fucked up?” He finally allowed his smile to break free.
“Ah man baby cuz…See that’s business. She was getting ahold to that shit before I came along. We both know that.” He took a break to take a long drag of a blunt sitting between two fingers. “You a genius and shit right. You know whether I was giving it to her or not she was gon’ find it. Might as well be family.”
In a way he was right. Cha had always been the type to end up in things she wasn’t supposed to. But, that was still no reason to allow her to indulge. Shuri decided to ignore his comments. Choosing silence, hoping that it would speed up this exchange. She wasn’t in the mood.
“Look lil cuz. I know you don’t trust me because of what your pops did to mine and all. Y’all think I’m out to get you and shit. It’s a valid fear.” Shuri chuckled once again now sliding off of her bike choosing to lean against. Shuri held no fear in her heart for N’Jadaka. “But, I want you to know there’s no hostility between you and me. You ain’t have shit to do with that. As a matter of fact with my status out here and your smarts. We could team up. Run the biggest most undetictable operation Brick District ever seen.” Shuri shakes her head a smirk on her face, leaning against her bike.
“You do realize I’m 16 right?”
“Yea. But you mature and shit, and you got heart lil nigga. You ain’t scared of shit. That’s the brilliance of it man. Nobody would suspect you. The genius girl trying to stay under the radar. Trying to denounce her fathers name. No one would ever believe you would get back into this shit.”
“Because wouldn’t.” Shuri says matter of factly, crossing her arms over her chest and crossing her legs at the ankle. Killmonger scanned her. Taking note of her calm demeanor. Not an ounce of fear detected. He smirked. He admired that about Shuri. Young and fearless.
“Wouldn’t you though? I know y’all over there struggling. Your sister has a lot to say when she’s off a bean. You 16 working the fucking mines to keep food on the table. That ain’t no life for a child man.”
“But dealing is?” Shuri’s eyebrow raised as her voice went up an octave. “If you give so much of a fuck why not help us? You’ve got it right?”
“Nah, I don’t give shit for free. Family or not. You earn your keep. Your traitor ass daddy taught me that.”
“Well, I am not my father.” N’jadaka took the moment to lean out of the window. Taking a slow drag, blowing smoke into Shuri’s face.
“Wrong lil cuz. You’re the most like your father. You can’t outrun that shit.” Staring into N’jadaka’s eyes, Shuri bit into her cheeks jaws clenching. Tension building in the loud silence.”
From the corner of her eye Shuri sees you rushing over your bag thrown over your shoulder. N’Jadaka’s eyes follow Shuri’s, a smile spreads across his face.
“That’s you?” Shuri’s eyes cut over to him. Her face warming up slightly.
“What?” Taking notice he teases a bit more.
“That pretty little lady walking over this way. That your girl?” Suddenly the calm demeanor that Shuri wore earlier was becoming a bit less cool.
“What are you talking about?”
N’jadaka throws his head back laughing. He found it. A weakness. “Don’t play coy with me. I know you don’t think you give off you like boys vibes.” Shuri’s face flushed.
“Kiss my ass.”
“She’s a lil cutie.” He chuckles as you approach.
“Hey.” You say to Shuri and Shuri only, as you walk up looking between the two.
“Hey.” Shuri says grabbing her helmet.
“Heeeeey.” Killmonger says a smile taking over his face. You stare at him face upturned in disapproval. He lets out a hardy laugh at this.
“Yea she’s the one for you lil cuz. Looks like you and your lil lady friend got somewhere to be. So I’ll let you go.” He smiles looking you over and then turns his attention back to Shuri. “Remember what we talked about. You know where to find me.” You and Shuri watch as he slowly drives away.
“You ok?” You ask turning towards Shuri.
“Yea. I’m cool. Just N’jadaka being himself.”
“Well whatever that was stay away from it. I know Killmonger doesn’t want anything good from you.” Turning to look at you. Shuri bites her lip nodding her head.
“Yea.” She whispers to herself. “Let’s go.”
Tumblr media
The two of you now sat on the bed in Shuri’s room lit by candle light. Studying using a small lantern for light. You’d brung a small wireless speaker that kept a great charge. Soft music played as you two studied and ate the food and snacks you’d snuck from home. Shuri had to admit she was grateful that you’d stayed. With you with her, her struggle didn’t feel so much like struggle. You’d made the night pleasant. The two of you talking and laughing as though this was just a normal sleep over.
“Ok. I think I got it now. I feel confident that I can ace this test now.” Shuri’s eyes lit up as she smiled at you.
“You were always gonna ace the test. You know this stuff.” You smile back at her looking into her eyes.
“Yea.” You say softly. The two of you sat in silence for a moment as music played softly in the background. Shuri layed back in her bed. Closing her eyes her hands resting behind her head. She seemed content in the moment as you looked her over. You recognized that when you looked at Shuri. When you were around Shuri, something felt different. Shuri in the few years you’d know her had grown to be your best friend. However, something about the friendship the two of you had seemed like more. It was weighing heavily on your mind as you continue stealing slight glances at Shuri, and you couldn’t hold it anymore.
“Shuri?” You say breaking the silence.
“Hm?” She reply’s her eyes still closed.
“Do um wh-why…We never talk about crushes and stuff.” You say mentally face palming. Real smooth Y/n. Your heart was pounding and your palms started to sweat a bit. Shuri’s eyes slowly opened as she turned to face you hearing your nerves through the question. She sat up clearing her throat a bit her nerves picking up a bit as well.
“W-what do you mean?”
“I’m just saying that we’ve been friends for awhile, and we’ve never talk about people we like or anything. Is that weird?” Shuri is silent for a moment. Her mind reeling a bit. Where did this come from?
“Uh..I mean yea. I-I guess. Is that something you want to talk about with me?” Shuri’s heart was dropping into her stomach. The last thing she wanted was to have to talk to the girl she loved about some boy she was crushing on. But, she had to have seen this coming right. This was the cherry on top of a shitty day.
“I don’t know.” You whisper. “But we’re bestfriends, we should want to right?”
“I guess…So do you? Do you like someone?” Shuri didn’t want to know this in the slightest.
“I-I think I do. I’m not sure.” Shuri felt her heart shatter. She nods and for some reason she as much as this conversation was breaking her she’d decided to continue.
“W-who is he?” You shake your head.
“It’s a she.” Shuri’s back straightened her interest fully peaked now. A girl. You liked another girl? Shuri’s heart was now pounding.
“You like girls?”
“I never really thought about it before. But, I do know I like her and it feels like it’s in more than a friendly way.”
“Oh.” Shuri felt like she could cry. You liked girls and you still didn’t see her that way.
“What about you? Is their anyone who’s caught your eye?” Shuri sighs
“It wouldn’t really matter. It’s not like anyone would be interested in dating me around these parts. Maybe I’ll be more experienced when I go to college.” She says softly. You move a bit closer to her grabbing her hand.
“That’s what you really think? That noone is interested?” Shuri nods, she could feel herself falling into a pit. Feeling a bit more alone again. Knowing you were interested in women and yet she still had no chance.
“There’s no one that you’ve been interested in though.” You press a bit. Shuri brings her gaze up studying your face.
“Yea.” Her voice was soft, almost hesitant. “She’s perfect too. More beautiful than I could ever describe. But, like I said she isn’t interested.” A lump forms in your throat.
“A girl? Y-you like girls too?” Shuri smirks slightly. “I’m not sure. But, I know I like her.” She says and the butterflies take over your belly as your gazes lock onto eachother. You don’t know what comes over you but, you can no longer hold your tongue.
“I see the way you look at me Shuri.” She freezes. Heat over taking her body.
“H-huh?”
“The long glances when you think I’m not looking. I see them.” Shuri’s hand begins to shake nervously. She’s left speechless. She has no idea what to say. So you continue. “I-If I’m the girl you’re talking about…I’d say I’m definietly interested. Because you’re who I’m talking about.” You swallow your nerves. Figuring it was now or never. Shuri’s jaw dropped, She felt as if a sudden jolt of electricity had coursed through her veins leaving her momentarily stunned.
She couldn’t lie and say she that wasn’t something she did. She could hardly consentrate around you. Ofcourse at one point or another you would’ve seen her. Now here you were under the glow of candlelight. Your pretty skin lit to perfection. Using those beautiful lips to tell her you felt the same and she couldn’t utter a word.
“I only saw because when you weren’t looking I was stealing glances too. I guess you were too busy thinking no one wanted you to notice.” Shuri finally finds her voice though it comes out soft and breathy. The way her heart was pounding making it difficult for her to breath.
“I-I wanted to s-say something. I just didn’t want to lose you. Y-you’re just so much more than a crush to me. I don’t know what I’d do without you. You entered my life at the lowest point. My family lost its protector and we were being shunned. Life as I’d known it was over. I thought I’d never know what it was like to love and be loved again. And then this pretty girl with big eyes, and big hair, that always smelled like a bakery came out of nowhere. Dried my tears, fed me, cared for me. The love you have for me gets me through. You rescued me Sthandwa sami. I couldn’t risk loosing you. I don’t even like thinking about a life without you.”
Oh, to be loved. That was the day you felt it. The day you found out what it was to truly feel and be loved. Tears fell from your eyes. Now you were the one left speechless. Shuri reached up cupping your cheek in her hand wiping away your tears with her thumb.
“Y/n?..” Her voice gentle.
“Yes.” You breathe.
“Can I kiss you?” Your heart fluttered as you nod lightly. It was like a gravitational pull, the way your lips slowly found eachothers. A sweet innocent peck placed on one another’s lips. And then another, and then another, until your lips would not unglue. Shuri leaned back into the headboard and you slowly climb onto her lap as her arms snacked around your waist.
And there the two of you found home.
Needing to breathe the two of you part looking into eachothers eyes cheeks warming as you break out into a giggle.
“Wow.” You say. Shuri smiles, her thumbs rubbed gentle circles into your sides as she looked up at you.
“So…Um Would you like to be my girlfriend?” Shuri asked softly still a bit unsure. Still hardly believing this was happening. The smile on your face could’ve lit the night.
“Of course I do.” Shuri bit her lip to contain her excitement. Leaning up to place another gentle kiss to your lips.
“You have to promise me something.”
“Anything.” She says without an ounce of hesitation in her voice.
“I know you’ve been through a lot, I know life is doing a number on you even now. It’s made you have to mature much faster than the rest of us I know. There may not be much that I can do to make things easier for you. But, I can be here. I know one day we’re going to get out of the bricks. We’ll be happy living out our dreams. You’re so gifted I know you’ll have to leave at some point to bring evolution to the world. Even then, if we loose eachother along the way and the world you find brings you hard times, I’ll always be here.” You place your finger onto her chest where her heart thumped loudly. “Wherever I am in the world. No matter how shunned, or ostracized you feel. Know that I love you, not out of any obligation. Simply because I want to. Remember I’ll never be to far for you to come home to. My arms will always keep you safe and warm. Promise me you’ll remember that.”
You poured out your heart as tears streamed from both of your eyes. Her hands gripped tighter against your hips as she shook with emotion. There were no words she could be said to make you understand the security you’d given Shuri with your statement. All she could do was lean forward placing her lips to yours. Inside that kiss you felt her promise.
Tumblr media
The two of you fell sound asleep in eachothers arms that night. Your hands pressed delicately pressed against eachother hearts. The next morning Shuri drops you off at school, sending you off with a light kiss and encouragement for your exam. She wouldn’t be going to school today she had to hustle up money to get her lights turned on at home. She went to her job working an early shift seeing if she could get a loan. They were willing but she could get it until the next week. She went home searching for anything of value to pawn. But their valuables had been taken by the police after her father had passed. She was hitting a dead end on all fronts.
Shuri found herself riding aimlessly through The Bricks. Wind blowing through her shirt. Stress weighing heavily on her shoulders. As she rode she found herself traveling a familiar path. One she hadn’t been to since her father was alive. One she vowed to never step foot in again. Her bike came to a stop in front of a massive warehouse. She swore she’d never resort to this life. Now here she was tail tucked between her legs going back to the only life she’d known. She closed her eyes and let out a small breath before taking off her helmet and hopping off of her bike, making her way around the back of the building. She banged on the door hard 3 times, and soon after a latch opened and a pair of eyes appeared through the Judas hole.
“What you need?”
“I’m here for N’jadaka.”
“Who dat?” Shuri rolled her eyes.
“You know who I’m talking about. I’m not calling him fucking Killmonger.” She hears laughter come from the other side of the door.
“Let her in Hemp.” The door opens and Shuri steps in. Topless women cooked dope and men counted racks of money. Flashes of her brother walking down the stairs with his infectious smile went through Shuri’s mind. Her mother strutting through the rows of women making sure the coke was perfectly distributed. Shuri’s eyes scanned over the building until they land on Killmonger. Visions of her father sitting dressed to the nines a cigar placed in between his lips. “You’re my prized possession intomba. I do this all for you.” He would say. She shook off the memories. Her gaze locking onto N’Jadaka’s who sat leaned back in the sitting area, a telling smile on his face. Shuri made her way over to him.
“Little cousin. Here so soon. How can I help you?” Shuri’s jaw clenched a bit. Angry with herself for being here. She stands there quietly. Her eyes looking ove all of Killmongers henchmen. He immediately got the hint. She wasn’t going to speak until they cleared area. He signaled for the men to leave and they all filed out. Shuri threw a glance over her shoulder, before turning her attention back towards him.
“I need your help.” She says m, undertones of defeat in her voice.
“Help? What kind of a help?”
“I need a job…and a loan. I won’t beat around the bush. The mines isn’t cutting it. Mama’s in hospice and Cha’s useless. The lights are out in the apartment and I have to figure out how to keep up with the rent and utilities so they dont suspect I’m there alone, or I’m going into the system.” Her head drops as she bites into her cheeks. “And my girl..I don’t want her to be with a bum. She deserves the best and I want to be able to give it to her.” He leans forward his elbows settled on his knees, as he looks Shuri over.
“Ah..young love. It’s a beautiful thing.” He says pulling out a blunt placing it to his lips before sparking it up. “Sounds like you’re in a bad way….You thought about this? This is really what you want to do?” She nods and speaks.
“I have conditions.” He smirks.
“Ofcourse you do.” Shuri rolls her eyes in response.
“You gotta let me go after I graduate. I want out of all this the day of graduation. I just need this to stay on my feet for a couple of years. And I need whatever you have me do to be low profile.”
N’jadaka nods understandingly. He stands and walks over to a safe entering the code. Once it’s opened he pulls out a stack of money, walking over to Shuri placing the money in her hand.
“That’s twenty thousand. Take that as a welcome to the family business gift.” He says with a smirk. Shuri stared at the money in her hands. She hadn’t seen this much money at once in years. “What do I have to do for this?” N’Jadaka shakes his head aware of Shuri’s distrust.
“I was serious about what I said yesterday. I don’t want you out on the corners. I would prefer that we were partners. That big brain of yours could make us some real money. So for the next two years I’d like for you to be here with me. Help me revamp my operation and graduation day you’re free to live your life.”
“So you want me to be your right hand?”
“Exactly.”
“I get 50/50.”
“Done”
“Minimum visibility.”
“Almost none exisistence.”
Shuri’s jaw clenches in thought as she took in her surroundings. “I’m not getting my hands dirty N’Jadaka. Business operations is my job. I tell you what to do, you pass it along. I come in weekdays when the sun sets and for emergency’s only. Deal?” Killmonger places out a hand to shake, and Shuri takes it.
“Deal lil Udaku. You’re quite the bargainer. I look forward to doing business with you. See you Monday.” Shuri nods. Placing the money into her jacket pockets.
“See you Monday.”
Tumblr media
I think back on that day often. Wondering just where would I be if I’d just toughed out the struggle for awhile. But, I didn’t. And that decision haunts me to this day.
That’s where it all began. The day I fell in love and simultaneously ruined my life.

hihi!! i hope both of ur guys day is going good! This is my first time requesting so im a little nervous i read ur rules over like ten times (;ŏ﹏ŏ) can u pls do Kou, Nene, and Hanako reading their s/o a bedtime story >w< ty in advance :3
A/N: Omg hihi its been awhile since we last posted but we're here and alive still~!! Oh and also If it makes you feel any better, this is actually our first ask 😭??? So we're really excited and decided to have both of us write for it, aren't you a lucky anon?! Anyways I hope you like it! ⎯ Mod ☠️ Omg...a request...Hello! ^^ We added Mitsuba to the list, I felt like a silly fella while writing for him. His brain makes me insane. ANYWAY, I actually didn't write angst. I can't remember the last time I did that. Enjoy~ ⎯ Mod👻 (if tumblr eats this again, I will cry)
Content: Fluff, slight angst if you squint in Hanako and Mitsuba's part, no gender mention for reader aside from the word 'prince' and 'princess' being used. Summary: Reading their s/o a bedtime story
Characters: Nene, Hanako, Mitsuba, Kou
Tumblr media
A story about a girl who gets saved by her prince, not in an ideal way like she wanted it to be, but nonetheless, still fell for them anyways. ⎯ Once upon a time I had my eyes set out for a fairytale of my own, wanting to feel like a hopeless romantic with the person of my dreams. But to think that the person I've been dreaming of was actually beside me this whole time... Perhaps instead of me, it was them that was hopeless in the end.
It was during when you stayed over at her house and weren't able to sleep, that she suggested she'd tell you some of the latest stories she's been reading about. Some that you've already heard of (either from her already mentioning it before or seeing it in the media) while others not so much.
When NENE talks about her stories she's very enthusiastic about it. Happy to even have someone listening to her rant on and on about something she's been dying to talk about for awhile, but it's even more special when it's her S/O ⎯ especially if they were the ones to ask her first before she even got the chance to herself.
Her stories lean more towards romance for obvious reasons. Loving the tropes to the story is one thing, but another would be because of how she likes to imagine herself in those sort of scenarios. Embarrassed to even admit it out loud, though it's already clear why she likes them so much.
And although at first she was telling the stories to you to get you to fall asleep, it sometimes ends with you staying up a little later due to her getting a tad bit carried away.
Oh but if you do end up falling asleep right before her? You won't ever see or hear about it, unless you were pretending to be asleep, but Nene is definitely the type to give you a shy goodnights kiss. Feeling brave only because you were asleep, but if not, she'd totally cover her face as she fumes at how embarrassing it is to get caught in her sly act.
Tumblr media
A story about a commoner boy who had a princess that loved him dearly, despite his backstory and everything he deemed as 'unworthy' of their love, nothing ⎯ not even his words, could sway their view of him. ⎯ Time and time again you run and hide from me. Behind that wall of doubt and insecurities there's something that you clearly don't see in yourself that I adore so much. When will you finally come to terms and see things my way? Love yourself as much as I love you.
It's weird how you decided to nap in the bathroom. Especially his bathroom where he's poking you constantly until you tell him off.
When HANAKO is reading you a story, he has you sleeping and leaning against his shoulder. His hand occasionally shifting your head back in place when he notices you nodding off or about to fall, or maybe even just doing it to use it as an excuse to pat your head ⎯ who knows? Clearly not you.
But the types of stories Hanako tends to read to you depends entirely on his mood. Whenever he's feeling like a jokester, he'd tell you horror stories just to see your scared reaction as you cling onto him ⎯ or when he's feeling a little solemn, he'd tell the sort of fairytale that ends with bad endings to them.
Differing between those two genres the most. But on the more rarer occasions, does he switch it up to something else.
Something odd, something you wouldn't even expect from him. Something ... that perhaps convey how he really feels but is too afraid to admit it out loud? It honestly depends up to you to actually catch onto it. If not? Then you probably won't ever hear that story again from him.
Tumblr media
A story where a ghost finds a human and wishes to stand by their side ⎯ A story where death will not part them, for they belong together. ⎯ I keep thinking that I could be good enough for you - that you could love me as more than 'friends', maybe I am a bit selfish for thinking this. Not that I could ever say it to your face.
Someone decided to be nice today and bless you with a sleepover!! At your own house of course.
MITSUBA didn't plan on reading to you but you told him a few stories of your own. He wasn't sure why he did it. Perhaps it was the smile on your face every time you started reading to him, so he returned the favor.
He wasn't sure what to read until he came up with his own idea. A short story about a ghost, since he knew that firsthand. A story with a ghost about falling in love with a human, a story he...
As he told the story, he could see your smile slowly disappear, almost as if you realized he was the ghost in the story.
"The ghost never told them how he felt."
And that was the last thing he said before being engulfed in your arms. He knew this feeling - he's felt it before. That warm feeling.
The feeling of love.
The feeling of an old memory.
Tumblr media
A story where the knight doesn't get the girl ⎯ oh...I guess this is a different ending. A story where the knight gets the prince, and they live a happy life. ⎯ I didn't change the ending! This is how it was meant to be! I...I suppose if you prefer for the knight to not fall for the prince then...Huh? You liked it?!
KOU brought a book of short stories over to your house. He was super excited to be able to stay the night.
Unfortunately for him, you had the same book and it just so happened to be your favorite!
Kou told the story as it was written for a bit.
Until he got to the end.
The story was meant to end with the prince marrying a princess but Kou couldn't bring himself to say it. Perhaps it was because he was never the prince. He was always second.
But it seemed that you didn't mind. It does get a bit boring reading the same story over and over again, and you did like listening to Kou talk.
"I'm...really happy you liked it." He says, almost struggling to get the words out as you blush and smile.
Maybe this really was his story, and that's why he rewrote the ending. Well, you can't say it's impossible for that ending to happen.

Amber x reader in which reader tops her for the first time, which Amber doesn’t know how to take it because she is a giver not a taker (she likes it) and then she returns the favor
What favour?
Amber Appleton x fem! reader
Warnings: MDNI, smut— oral, fingering(Amber receiving), pet names(both receiving), toy use(reader receiving)
Amber does not know how to take it to save her life.
Tumblr media
With your eyes slowly peeling open, you squint when the sunlight hit and tried to turn away but realised you couldn’t. Amber had her arms tightly wrapped around you. You tried to free yourself but she just kept holding on— you didn’t put up too much of a fight and just went back to sleep for a while more. You woke up again to her letting go of you, you turned around and came face to face with her. “Hi, baby.” She smiles sleepily— it was adorable.
You smiled back, “Good morning.”
She leans closer to kiss you which you happily accepted and returned the gesture similarly. But Amber doesn’t just stop there. She keeps kissing you, over and over until it just wasn’t enough anymore. You’d officially become too bothered to sleep or do anything else. You feel her hand ghosting your chest and you stopped her, “Amber?”
“Yeah?” She asks, hand balled up slightly since you stopped her.
“How would you feel about me…topping, you?”
“Um.” Amber exhales, “You’ve never done that before, and I—”
“That’s not important, I’ll figure it out. Do you want that?”
Amber ponders over your question as her cheeks grew red and warm. Her eyes gave you an answer clear as day that she was eager. “Yeah.” She nodded decisively.
“Yeah?”
She nodded, licking her lips before you captured them into your own, starting off with soft fleeting kisses until you could feel her wanting more. Or hear her— whichever came first. You’d cupped her cheek but that hand soon moves up the side of her head and was combed through her hair. Both of you were currently on your sides, but you were almost on top of her. As good as her kisses felt against your lips, you could feel her body literally resisting. Her body language— she seemed to be unable to relax and let you take control.
She always was the top and not for the reason people’d think. Amber, she always prioritises others over herself, always giving and giving. Not once has she stopped to let people help her. Well, once, yes— when the school raised funds for Bobby’s surgery, but you couldn’t remember any other instances. At all.
“Amber.” You broke away from the kiss, “I got this, okay? You just…lay there and look pretty for me.”
But shit, the girl was still fucking tense. It wasn’t that she hated it, Amber made that clear. She was just…a giver. She hates receiving. Anything. You’d make breakfast and she’ll fight to make lunch, you buy her a cup of coffee and she’ll get you one right back, even compliments. She doesn’t take them well, she blushes, but says she’s not what you think she is. Which was a load of bullshit because she was the most beautiful person you’ve ever laid your eyes on.
But all of those pale in comparison to how difficult things can get in the bedroom. She knew how to make you feel good, she had that down to a science. She loves seeing how good she makes you feel, hearing it, all of it. But when you give her just a tad bit of attention in reciprocation, the girl just…freaks out like she’s a monster unworthy of love and attention. It’s gotten better but still, you were determined for her to let it go and relax for once.
You try to deepen the kiss and slip your tongue in, she allows it instantly and so you explored each inch of her mouth eagerly while you feel her hand roaming your back and trying to pull your t-shirt over your head.
“Amber, hands off.” You said softly, “Let me do everything right now, don’t worry about anything.”
“I’m not worried, I just—”
Smack. Right on her ass, immediately and she shut up, allowing you to continue kissing her. Her fingers hooked at the hem of her pyjama pants and underwear, smoothly sliding them off. She whimpers breathily into the kiss, you slide your hand down her front, ghosting her clit. The girl tenses beneath you. “You’re okay.” You whispered, “I got you, baby.”
She whines meekly, “Fuck…I need to kiss you, babe.” You let her, obviously. You could never say no to this face. You slide two fingers down from her clit, teasing her entrance. You notice her breathing hitch, and how she kisses you more eagerly— the kisses long, deep and sloppy. You take this as your cue to plunge a finger into her, and she gives you a noise in return. So soft, but it made your heart race. Oh how you wanted to keep hearing her make the noises for you, but you didn’t want to push her and tell her to make noise for you— not that soon, at least. You believe that she’d do it without you asking soon enough.
Your middle finger was deep inside her, curling up to hit her in the sensitive spot over and over, making it harder and harder for her to think. To worry. Because all that came out of her mouth from that point on was anything but coherent. You’ve done it, her mind was emptied and filled with nothing but pleasure. “Oh, shit.” She mumbles, whining into your mouth. “You like that, baby?” You ask, your lips starting to travel lower, down to her jaw and neck. She squirms because your breath was tickling her skin.
Amber nods, mumbling something you couldn’t make out. She whimpers, driving you insane. “Shit.” She panted, “y/n…”
“Yes, baby?” You ask, reconnecting your lips with a specific spot on her neck to draw out yet another noise.
She moans, right by your ear and holy shit, you slipped a second finger inside making her go, “Fuck! Sorry…”
“Babe, don’t be.” You chuckle, nuzzled against her neck before your tongue flicks over the sore spot you’d worked over. “You’re making such pretty noises for me, Ams. Keep going, I love hearing you. I want to hear you.” You purred, fingers gradually picking up their pace as you feel her tightness around them grow.
You went until she started to tremble beneath you and was clutching onto you like her life depended on it. Abruptly, your fingers leave her and you get up, now sitting in between her legs, face to face with that juncture between her thighs which was making you drool like an animal. You gulped, hand massaging her inner thigh. They started to close in together but you pushed it back down, your gaze traveled upward to see that she was looking anywhere and everywhere, hands seemingly desperate for something in them but having nothing in them right now.
“Go ahead, baby…do whatever you want.” You encouraged, moving your head closer to her cunt. Your eyes stayed focused on her, watching her as she used one hand to knead her breast and the other one combed through your hair.
“Mm-fuck—” She whines, “Fuck, babe…fuck, that feels so good.”
You were going feral. Her being under your control was so rare, and this was the furthest she’s ever let you go. She’s always resisted, saying she wouldn’t know what to do, then…do you instead.
“Keep going, that’s it, baby…make those cute little noises for me~” Your breath fans her sensitive heat, making her cry out and buck her hips up towards your face. You instinctively held onto her inner thigh tighter to keep her in place, just like her hand was doing in your hair.
Her soft whines and breathy whimpers were really making you more bothered than ever, yearning for her touch. But yet, you couldn’t stop. Drunk on her taste, you needed to have her. Until she couldn’t take it anymore and unraveled. So far, so good. They were falling from her lips in a never ending string, spurring you on— licking, kissing and sucking her growingly sensitive clit diligently just so you could hear her being a mess.
“Babe…” She exhales shakily, “More.”
“You don’t have to ask twice…” You grin, your tongue circling her entrance in a tease then pushing its way into her.
“God…” She groans, voice lower than ever, making you feel nuts. You lapped her up like she was your last meal ever, now similarly desperate for more. More noises from her, more of her wetness, more of her. “Shit, shit, shit.” She mutters, whining when she feels your fingers return into the mix. This oh-so-sinful gesture was absolutely heavenly. Feeling her constantly soaking your mouth and tightening more and more around your fingers. Fuck.
“Fuck!” She exclaimed, “Oh, my god—” She started to tremble again, fingernails sinking into your scalp just slightly.
“I’m so close, babe…” Her voice was barely above a whisper, a shrill whimper to end it off, “Ah— ah— yes, yes, right there, baby.”
God, she was so hot. So very…oh god.
“I need to come…babe, please.” She begged, in actual tears.
“Baby, just do it, you don’t have to ask, Amber.” You coaxed, hand massaging her thigh once again to soothe her, “Come for me, you want it, you can do it.”
You did not ask her to hold it, but hearing her plead was a cherry on top of the cake. It made you even wetter. Even more ready for her to have her way with you after you were done with her.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck. Th— oh, shit!” She panted, unraveling once you gave her the okay, her hand clawing and your back as she collected herself, started to come down from her high. You slowed down your ministrations as she does, calming down and letting go of her grip on you.
“So pretty…” You kissed her lips again, brushing the stray hairs out of her eyes, “You taste so sweet, princess, I just can’t get enough of you.”
You see her swallowing thickly, breath hitching, she nearly cries again and licked her lips. “You did so good for me, baby.” You gave her another kiss, “So good.”
Amber whimpers needily, grabbing your face to kiss you. “Can I? Return the favour?” She asks when she broke away briefly. “What favour? That’s no favour, baby. I just wanted you to feel— good— fuck, you know what? Yes. Yes.” You nodded impatiently, “I need you so bad, baby.”
“What do you want, my love? Tell me.” Her usual demeanour was back just like that. The fluttering in your chest was crazy as you watched her in anticipation, your mind was emptying itself so quickly and getting overtaken by desire.
“How much can you take?” She chuckles, burying her face in your cleavage and leaving you a trail of wet, open-mouthed kisses. You whimper, as if on reflex, feeling the overpowering ache in between your thighs. Gnawing onto your lower lip, you couldn’t hold back any longer. This slightest bit of teasing was having you soak her sheets and all achy.
“I don’t care— just fuck me.” You spat out.
————
Once she’d left the bed, you knew exactly what she had thought of. You knew that you’d be a goner, you didn’t have to think anymore and just…take it. Amber returns wearing that god forsaken harness holding two other toys in hand. “Fuck!” You squinted at her, exclaiming in a pant. She just grins, excited to have her way with you.
“Take your pick, y/n. I want you to choose.” She was so calm, it irked you because you were already all worked up. “Strap first.” You huffed, opening your legs for her as she got closer.
She laughs, “So ready for me, honey?”
You could no longer keep the conversation going. You were desperate for her to fuck you and she knew it, she was trying to hold it off for as long as you could take. Which, to be fair wasn’t that long now. And clearly, she knows. Because she was already teasing you with the tip then pushing it in with no issues. You moaned lowly, glad to finally start having some relief. You were fully exposed to her by now— completely nude. She could see your clit, swollen, neglected. She stays stagnant, fingertips rubbing your clit to give it what it was craving.
“Jesus. Oh, goddamn.” You let out a shaky, whiny breath, “Fuck me.”
“I will.” She says, “Just giving your poor little clit what it needs, lovey.”
Fuck you, that pet name.
“Keep going, please…” You beg, “Fuck me, babe. Fuck me…” You felt, full. But that wasn’t enough, you wanted her to go hard and fast. You needed that release— nothing was feeling better than that to you. You were so bloody worked up.
She finally gives in, bucking her hips consistently to enter and pull away just enough. Just enough to push you closer and closer. As established, Amber’s done this enough to know exactly what to do and how to do it. So what she was doing now? Was perfect. It’s just that your mouth couldn’t shut up, spewing all sorts of noises as a result of her actions. Amber was proud of herself…doing so little to make you feel this way.
You started to squirm and she just naturally held you down while pounding into you faster and faster, harder and harder, making you cry out with each time. Her free hand squeezed your tits and pinched your nipples as she continues to impale you. You watched her— that smile on her face, how her breasts moved in sync with her action, you listened to how she was talking to you and praising you.
You were mumbling nothing in particular, but she knew it felt good for you, that’s how you were when you were close. “Take it, baby. You’re taking me so well, y/n.” She giggles.
“Fuck, keep going— keep going~”
“You’re so beautiful.” She remarked, her tone sweet, her actions causing you to make the most obscene of noises. The sharp contrast was making you feel insanely shy.
To top it all off, she’s also started to attack your sensitive spots, starting from your neck and working her way down. The combination had that coil in your core winding up so rapidly, it barely gave you the time to process it. “Gonna come— I’m gonna come—” You whimpered, airily, back arching off the mattress allowing her to poke you even deeper. Her lips have been detached, her hands: one holding onto your hip, the other slapping your tit then fondled with your ass. So much stimulation, and so much pleasure.
“Do it, honey. Soak that thing, babe, come for me…we both know you want to.”
On her cue, you came intensely, fighting back the tears so hard. But you so miserably failed, crumbling once she held you in her arms, still trembling. “That’s my girl.” She presses a kiss to your lips, you lazily reciprocated, eyes starting to droop shut. “Good girl.”
After she takes a painfully long time to remove the harness (no she didn’t). You were just impatient. You instinctively snuggle against her chest, content and trying to calm down. “Fuck, I love you…”
“I love you too, sweet girl.” She plants a kiss on your forehead, “Also, I’m gonna let you do that more from now on.”
“Happy to.” You gave her a sleepy smile, which she mirrors and you barely see, wanting to hug her more.
“You just wanna sleep?”
You hummed, nodding your head in confirmation. “Sleepy.” You mumbled, “Breakfast later.”
“M’kay.” She inevitably chuckles, rubbing your bare back comfortingly, “Rest now, I’ll wake you up when the food’s done.”
“‘kay.” You muttered, finally closing your eyes.

15, 17, B, and 💋 for the OC/ship ask game! :D
AH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK! Thank you so much for asking about my blorbos, so happy to see a new mutual rollerskating! 🥰
I'm going to answer for Jia, my Last Dragonborn, and Miraak, her pathetic love interest!
☀️ask game!☀️
15. First thing they remember feeling proud of
I think, for Jia, her turning point was probably when she killed Alduin. The thing with her is that she has the lowest self-esteem there is. For years, she didn’t believe she mattered at all, and even after she was revealed to be the Dragonborn of legend, she still carried the ‘stain’ of unworthiness in her mind. The fact that she was somewhat green regarding her skills and the capabilities of her Voice at that point didn’t help her confidence either…
But when she killed Alduin? That was another story entirely. When Tsun Shouted her back to the Throat of the World, and she heard all the dragons roaring as one for the World-Eater’s fall and her triumph, when they gave her her dragon name—Shulyolviim, meaning Sun-Fire-Glow—and she was told how the sky itself seemed to blow out as she fought Alduin and all the stars went supernova when she finally prevailed... I think something sparked in her. For the first time, she felt truly proud of what she had done, of having borne the weight of Nirn on her shoulders (even if one of them was broken by that point! 😅).
17. First favorites - favorite color, animal, movie, etc.
Oh, Jia has always had a soft spot for the warm, rich colors of autumn—shades of red, earthy browns, fiery oranges, and golden yellows! These colors are her color palette, too. As for animals, she’s undeniably a bird lover at heart: she has a special fondness for swallows, and she’s also frequently connected to this specific bird for Plot Significance…🥰
B. First impression of each other
OH, EXCELLENT QUESTION. For Jia and Miraak, I think they were unavoidably drawn to each other because of their dragon souls. They’re both neither fully mortals nor fully dragons, the sole individuals that seem to teeter between these two natures. There is an equal Fascination, for sure. Miraak is especially captivated by Jia’s eyes—which is not at all random to their story…👀
Strangely, they’re both able to see through each other’s proud facade, their snappy back-and-forth or arrogance (or even insults!), they both detect one another to a level that it might seem they have already met somehow… as if they hide in each other somehow…👀
💋 - Favorite "first kiss" scene you've written between two characters
GAH, WHAT ABOUT SHARING THE ‘FIRST KISSING SCENE’ SNIPPET WITH YOU?
“Look at me…” He repeats once more, whispery and gentle-deep, this time in Tamrielic, and he cannot help but revel in her view: for, as much as he feels her shivers underneath his hands, Miraak hopes with his heart whole, that her soul sees behind the words he uttered, unequivocally, clearly, deeply. Or maybe, she can even distinguish the color of his eyes now, along with his renounced humanity—from when he was an ordinary Atmoran young man before he was sold like a slave to the Dragon Cult, before his face was covered by a vacant veneer and he became a stranger among strangers, and, above all, before he was plagued by Herma-Mora and almost transformed himself into a Seeker. “I want to see, to understand,” Miraak tells her, and they are so close to each other that only the sharpest of breaths separate them, and his lips scarcely skim upon hers with every word spoken, “what parts of me have buried themselves within you, or yours in me, because—because you see, I don’t know whether it was worth it, condemning yourself to me, I don’t know—” —but his words are cut off short when she entirely closes their small gap, and she swallows them down with her lips instead.
JUST. THEIR KISSING SCENE. It happened after a Grand Revelation between them and it happened slowly, tenderly, hesitantly, even awkwardly, as both are quite numb and oblivious about love and affection, but they make it happen here because they need it, more than anything in the world…🥹😭 My stupid idiots...

Jean tensed as the baby was carefully nestled in his arms.
No matter how much time had passed, he still hesitated in face of such happiness. Dark whispers swirled in his mind, saying he didn’t deserve it, reminding him of the sins that tainted him and that he shouldn’t be near such a pure, innocent being.
But time also made it easier to push such thoughts down and focus on the moment and on his feelings. You always found him worthy; you always saw the light he thought he’d lost long ago. And maybe the voice was right; maybe he didn’t deserve this, but who was he to deny what you gave him so freely? All the love and happiness you showered him with, he would treasure and protect, no matter what.
And this new family made it even easier for him to accept it. He was the first to express a wish for this piece of happiness, and you finally received such a blessing, one he doubted he would receive if he was unworthy. He’d been thinking it for a while, but maybe you were his chance of redemption, and this was proof he was forgiven. Or on the path to.
“Jean?” You rested your head against his shoulder and reached out to whip a tear he hadn’t even noticed.
He blinked, feeling more tears pooling in the corner of his eyes. His gaze moved to you, and you looked back with a certain hesitation, certainly unsure of his reaction.
His response was a tender smile; that was enough for you to smile back. Both of you turned your attention back to your baby daughter as she stirred, but she continued sleeping.
"Beautiful, like her father.” You whispered, snuggling to Jean’s side once again.
He didn’t know how much she looked like him, except for the thin strands of dark hair, lighter, but of a similar color to his, but she was much more beautiful, and would grow to be even more, he was sure of that.
“And I hope she’ll grow to be as kind and strong as you.” You added.
“You’re stronger than me, mon amour.” Jean turned his head, giving you a kiss on the forehead. “And I know she will grow to be a wonderful person.” And he would strive to be the best father he could be. To make both of you the happiest he could.
“With a father like you, she will.”
“With a family like us she will.” He kissed you again, this time on the lips.
This all felt like a dream. His wishes coming true and bringing all this happiness… but this time he wouldn’t hide from it. He would fight for this love and all the good things that came and would continue coming from it. More than ever, because now he had more to protect than he ever imagined.
