I can't believe Belphie came straight for our throat AGAIN (Diavolo seemed to want to stop him THANK GOD) and Lucifer was reeeally pissed off, but understandably so if we get in his shoes. Solomon rescues our ass from this bunch of demons and whisks us away. I wished we could've talked it out, but you know, bit of extra angst doesn't hurt. Especially if we get to see Thirteen BECAUSE YES SOLOMON TAKES US TO THE REAPER'S CAVE AND I WAS DYING TO SEE HER AGAIN. AND WE DO. MY GIRL.

I also thought they'd give her Reaper clothes since, well RAD soesn't exist (yet) but. Lol. My dreams were dashed. They did address the issue of why she was wearing it to excuse the lack of a new design, which made me lose my shit laughing. Okay fine, I'll drop it for now, Solmare, BUT MY GIRL DESERVES MORE CLOTHES. I WILL BE WAITING.

Also the casual drop that she has a sister named Candy. Now I wanna meet her.

Anyways I digress, I love Solomon and I said I trusted him with my life. Until now, because this fucker dropped this shit on me and I legit had to put my phone down for a couple of seconds.

Son of a bitch. You kitchen-destroyer menace. You death-chef bastard. You can't ask THIS of me. Out of ANYTHING you could've asked mc, this fucker pulled the worst one. I'm so mad because I refuse to lose trust in Solomon in Nightbringer despite this story bombs being dropped on me, but this combined with something else later in ch11 makes me want to be wary. But I also don't want to, because despite all story hints, I don't believe for a second they'd hurt mc, so I'm grabbing every bull thrown at me by the HORNS and every single one of you WILL BE SAFE by the end of this story OR SO HELP ME.

Speaking of horns. The demon bros follow us, obviously, except for Beel (who we knocked out in lesson 10), Belphie (who stayed behind with Beel obvs and also he wouldn't come to help us because he's hurt and angry and the Lilith wound is still fresh I get it Belphie I DO—but DAMN it STINGS) and Satan who already had stayed back at the House and my boy is missing this whole party. I legit yelled when I heard Mammon's scream in the Reaper's Cave.

I loved how Asmo, Levi and Mammon came to warn us that Lucifer was coming, because they're worried and I love them so much I COULD KISS THEM. I kinda wish the Mammon turned into Little. D gag didn't last for the rest of the lesson though. Asmo himself ways it makes this thing less serious. Oh well. I hope he gets turned back soon bc shit went down later and we need EXTRA HANDS ON DECK.

and finally I got the option that I wanted: that we wanted to talk to him. Or we can defer to Solomon. If my eyes keep narrowing at him I might as well close them and fall asleep. Anyways hell no, Sol dear, sorry.

So when he appears down we go. Everyone's worried sick. Solomon reminds us about siding with humanity if things go down bad and while I adore my fav sorcerer, I refuse to fight the demon brothers, so my choice was made in case they made me pick a side (and I was scared they'd make me choose lol). Anyways Solomon and Lucifer looked about ready to rip each other apart, but Lucifer held him in place and I was. Not expecting that. I thought Solomon would be able to fend him off at least a little bit, but I was wrong.

Obviously his target is us. Not Solomon. Oh boy.

I love this man so much. He's obviously wary of us because we have power over them and he sees it as a threat to his family, so I can't hold his anger against him even as he froze Solomon on the spot (not literally but, well, I bet he would have) and kinda. Tried to attack us. Oops. However, he doesn't know us, and he's doing what he thinks it's best to protect his family. I kinda get his point even if I don't agree with it, and it kinds reminds me of the Belphie situation in the og one: he's doing what he thinks is best, but he Fucks Up because we've been nothing but helpful and well, he's probably seen we've been helping his brothers. They defend you, too, but Lucifer is Not Having it for the moment.

Here has a choice that I love, if you pardon my Luci brainrot for a bit:

If we choose that one it doesn't clarify what we mean, but we gain points with him, because we know. He's hurt. Plus we have the ring, and again there's the fact that we have power over them, that they gave us, yeah, but they don't know about it. He's probably freaked out, at least a little bit.

Anyways I love Thirteen for busting our asses free and throwing us a Grimoire, which can be used to control demons, apparently, and if it was mentioned in the og I forgot about it. Oops. Well, I love that our only option is to give Luci the grimoire as a gesture of good faith because they're our demon family and just like Luci, we're doing our damn hardest to protect all of them.

If you say "I love all of you", you get points with Mammon, Asmo and Levi. If you choose that you want to protect them, you gain points with Luci instead. I need a second-

And this is when shit goes down for me because SOLOMON LOOKED SO DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU HAND OUT THE GRIMOIRE????? And Thirteen did say he wanted it... because the Grimoire allows control over the demons. Sol is not making it easy for me here in this damn game.

(edit: also apparently it's. it's the goddamn Grimoire that's over Lilith's tomb in the og game, the one Luke finds when they go down to the Catacombs. Holy shit.)

And with the previous "siding with humanity" dialogue it's just. Alarm bells all over, non-stop. I don't know if we get different choices if we lean on Solomon too much, or if MC is following their own path in this mess so it doesn't matter what we choose before. Do we have a choice? Or MC has their own path that they will follow, which is protecting their family? Mind you, my mc's family is all of them: Demons and Purgatory Hall, so before choosing a side they'd stop this "war" from happening. I think this is what mc will choose, if it comes down to it. Perhaps this is what Nightbringer wants? But no demons/angels/humans war happened in the future where we come from, so it wouldn't make sense unless it will happen after our future time, where we can't stop it for some reason, and the only way is to send us to the past so we fix this mess before it happens.

Can you imagine? Barbatos sent us to the past because we can save everyone. I'd say Solomon followed without Barbatos knowing, but... I'm not so sure. My trust compass is going nuts, and I don't want to. I want to trust Solomon. I hope after the Grimoire thing he lets it go, because he has to know mc better than that: he has to know mc would choose their family over everything else in a heartbeat, and if there's a choice to stop this war-mess from happening, they will do it, even at their own peril. Maybe Solomon is trying to stop us from fucking dying because we'll end up choosing that option, who knows? It's an scenario that could fit. If the demon family was the cause of mc's death I think Solomon would burn down the House of Lamentation without a second thought to spare if it mean saving mc. Which is a problem.

There is an extra tidbit before the demons show up in the Reaper's Cave, where Thirteen tells us a bit more of Solomon lore, with a sprinkle of Barbatos.

I'd think Barb and Sol were working together, honestly. Even if Barbatos hates his guts now for some reason lol. If Solomon had done something grave, I think Barnatos would be way less lenient with him. As far as I can tell, he's just annoyed at the moment, so... no world-threatening betrayals, hopefully?

Back to the present with Luci and the present brothers. We give them the Grimoire, and then we fuck up.

Solomon tried to make us promise to aid humanity before, but both Thirteen and MC stopped in their tracks. Thirteen said "it's against the rules". If it's in the og, I forgot about it o(-< but by their reaction, it doesn't sound good. While doing this draft, I saw someone (edit: it was "still a morosexual help", bless them I love their om comments because I tend to ramble and miss points and reading their stuff help me keep in track of little things I missed!) say it might be because it's a bind. So, well, shit.

And we get a cliffhanger with that line as the end, because screw us, that's why. Who's responsible for these two cliffhangers in a goddamn row. I just want to fucking TALK. I started this lesson at 2:30am when I saw the notification and it's almost 6am now and the energy I gained doing this has died down.

The writing sure feels like it's gone up a notch. I'm living for it, honestly. Can't wait for Lesson 12 and see how we screwed up. If it's a bind, well, we'll roll with it lol.

and it’s for my wife @bellemorte180 and jfc this is the most fun I’ve ever had plot bunnying, Erica and I have decided to keep mum on the details but basically it all started with me desperately wanting Caroline to commit mass and I mean massively MASS genocide against humanity and enlist the originals help for the same and I just didnt know how to do that though.....like what could possibly be the reason and so I started working backwards from genocide went to a lot of disturbing places along the way but finally ended w Caroline as an xyz Earth Goddess (not yet sure on the mythology) who’s been slumbering for the past 3-4 millenniums and has now woken up to the utter shitshow that is humanity and our world-wide war against Mother Nature, and Caroline is pissed at how humans have essentially destroyed large chunks of her planet irrevocably and are continuing to do the same to the rest, so she starts a series of plagues that basically makes human’s drop dead like flies all over the world, I’m not gonna say more bc that will give away too much but Klaus falls for Caroline w/o knowing she’s the earth goddess who’s doing all of this and the feral shit that he is, after learning that Caroline is actually the earth goddess he’s a tiny bit cautious of an unbeatable being, a little bit amused that she’s committing mass genocide in the most organized colour coded binder with laminated flash cards way possible, a LOT horny at the absolute livid divinity of her and just largely still nicely whipped and smitten for her bc seriously tho why wouldnt he be I mean he doesnt bloody care for humanity as long as all the art and music and culture is preserved which obviously Caroline does, she’s not an uncultured plebe tyvm and is very happy going on murder sprees with his favourite goddess as humans die right left and centre. 

like yes yes its a bit depraved but erica enjoys it and its a gift for her and I always have loved a healthy dose of massacres and mass murdering in the content I consume so no really we are not taking criticism

Like this is the kind of fic that would be made into a movie that all top actors  in the industry would FIGHT for a chance to act in...........like No seriously and sincerely tho it’s so good and intricate and nuanced and just ties up together so perfectly and just SO SMART like it is so fucking SMART I have an intellectual boner for my wife, LIKE DUDE THE DETAILS  The DETAILS are fucking ELEGANT and Erica’s gonna be such a teasing lil shit in this one, teasing and riling up the readers with clues and hints that only serve to make you HUNGER for the truth just like in wanderlust, like dude she is gonna be MEAN stingy with the deets until the grand reveal and OH MY GOD THE GRAND REVEAL IS GONNA BREAK US ALL Like I legit see everyone going WTF I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING AT ALL BUT THANK YOU FOR BITCH SLAPPING ME WITH IT ANYWAYS

Whoop whoop so without further ado....... my interpretation of the prompt Theo and Pancakes

The pitter-patter of tiny feet could be heard running through the hallways early on one summer's morning. The large front door of the mansion swung open to reveal an angelic little girl with long blond golden locks and ocean blue eyes. 

The determined little girl went running through the mansion’s garden barefooted as she jumped over the wooden fence, making her way through a familiar forest with an excited golden retriever in tow.

Her eyes lit up in delight when she had spotted two familiar silhouettes in the distance. She ran towards the two men as fast as her tiny legs could carry her, hoping to make it to the top of the hill in time. The sun had yet to make its way over the horizon to mark the new day, and the little girl was determined to watch the sunrise with her favourite uncle. 

She wore a broad smile as she finally neared the two tall figures. 

“Daddy!” the girl exclaimed as she launched herself straight into Theo’s arms, sending him tumbling backwards. Theo had no time to even recover from the blow as soon a fully grown golden retriever jumped up to greet his beloved master, sending the father-daughter pair tumbling backwards onto the soft patch of flowers beneath. “Oi popje, wat doe je hier buiten?” although his tone was stern he was wearing one of his rare smiles. 

The little girl pouted and crossed her arms with a huff, “You promised we could make pancakes for mommy today.” Theo’s smile turned into an amused smirk as he ruffled his daughter's hair and draped his coat over her tiny shoulders, “Did I now.” 

Sending her father a disgruntled look, she put her hands on her hips as she sent him a challenging gaze, “Ja, jy het belowe.” 

Theo rolled his eyes at his daughter, as she spoke Afrikaans to him. His daughter had a talent for picking up languages rather quickly, being able to speak at least six different languages, thanks to all the residents. He also knew that she would only speak Afrikaans to him, just as a way to get under his skin, something she had picked up from his beloved wife.

The sun finally came peeking up from the horizon, and with a satisfied smile, the older van Gogh brother put down his paintbrush and stretched his arms above his head. That is when he spotted his favourite little niece. He crouched down and opened his arms as he sent the little girl a smile that could only be described as brighter than the sun itself. 

The little girl wasted no time in flinging herself into Vincent's arms, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck. “Goedemorgen, Kleine zonnebloem! Shouldn't you still be in bed this early,” 

Vincent's eyes were laced with concern as he looked at the little girl questioningly. 

She shot her dad a threatening glare before turning her attention back to Vincent, wearing a soft smile, “Daddy promised to make pancakes with me this morning before mommy wakes up.”

Vincent's eyes lit up in excitement as he tickled her sides, sending her into a fit of giggles, “Oh that's wonderful I'm sure your mother will be so happy to receive such a thoughtful surprise.” 

She beamed up at the older van Gogh and tightened her arms around his neck, “Plus I wanted to watch the sunrise with you.”

Angelic smile never faltering, Vincent held the girl in his arms as he turned to watch the sun coming up, "Well then let's not waste another moment.” 

Once the sun had fully risen above the mountain top, he gently put the little girl back down onto the soft grass, and clasped her small little hands in his, “That was fun, shall we do it again tomorrow. That way, you can be the first to see my painting when it's done.” 

Not even thinking twice about the offer she excitingly jumped up and down wearing a big grin, “Yes please!”

Vincent and Theo quickly packed up the art supplies as the little girl played in the field with King. “Hey popje, we are leaving! You better hurry up, unless you want to be left behind.” Upon hearing her father’s voice bellowing in the distance, she quickly hiked up her nightgown and excitedly ran to Theo’s side. 

Smiling she carefully took hold of her father’s hand as they leisurely walked back to the mansion. 

Once back, Vincent had disappeared to his room to continue painting while Theo, and his tiny daughter made their way to the kitchens to start on the meal. 

The little girl put on an oversized apron and stepped up onto the step ladder beside her dad, to start on the batter. Having inherited Theo’s love for sweets, the child already knew the pancake recipe by heart. 

Despite her angelic appearance, she had also inherited her dad's sharp tongue and stubborn attitude. She bossed her dad around the kitchen, instructing him to collect the various ingredients needed to make the sugary treat. With a satisfied nod at the different ingredients and equipment placed before her, she began to make the batter. 

She dumped out the flour into the large bowl in front of her with a big puff. Theo burst into laughter as the little one was now covered from head to toe in the white dust. She wore a displeased scowl as her father laughed and teased her dubbing her the ‘spookje’ of the kitchen. 

But soon girls scowl morphed into a mischievous smirk as she decided to enact her revenge. She picked up a small handful of flour and launched it straight into Theo’s face as he continued to chuckle. 

The second the flour puffed into his face, the little girl let out a triumphant giggle as Theo was left staring after her, flabbergasted. “Why you little,” he picked up his own hand full of flour and playfully threw it in his daughter's direction. 

It was now an all-out war. Flour was flying across the kitchen, covering everything in sight as the pair laughed and teased the other. Once the bag of flour was empty, Theo ran over to his daughter and picked her up, tickling her as he threw her up into the air. 

She squealed and laughed, refusing to give her dad the satisfaction of winning the playful battle, as she tried her hardest to tickle him back. 

Soon the laughter died down as both of them caught their breath, remembering the reason they were in the kitchen in the first place. 

“Geez, daddy! Can you stop distracting me, I'm trying to make pancakes here,” her tone was dripping with sarcasm as she sent her dad a wide smirk. Theo shook his head and smiled as he moved to heat up the pan. 

The little girl carefully broke a few eggs into the bowl followed by a splash of milk, and finally the secret ingredient….. 2 full bags of chocolate chips. She then summoned her dad to mix the batter for her, as she prepared herself for the next phase of the pancake making operation. 

She moved her ladder over to the stove and fished out a spatula from the drawer. She was overjoyed when she spotted two pans warming up on the stovetop. Once the batter was mixed, Theo looked over at his daughter wearing a devilish smirk, “I bet you I can flip these pancakes without a spatula.” 

The girl met Theo’s challenging gaze with one of her own, as she followed suit by placing a small amount of batter into the hot pan, “Game on, old man.”

Soon a whole second round of giggles had filled the kitchen as the two of them had started a new playful battle. The pancake wars continued as each of them were determined to out flip the other. 

Theo shot his daughter a smug grin as he stood back and threw two pancakes high into the air, only to catch them in the pan mere seconds before they would hit the ground. He started getting a little cocky, showing off his skills by throwing the fluffy cakes into the air, turning around twice and then successfully catching them. 

The little girl glared at her father, determined to wipe that cocky smile off his smug face. She now brimmed with confidence holding the pan securely between her tiny hands in an attempt to throw the pancake up high into the air to catch it. 

She earned an impressed scoff from Theo at the height she managed to get, however, that scoff soon turned into full-blown laughter as the last pancake she threw up into the air hit the roof. 

The little girl crossed her arms in disappointment as Theo chuckled and ruffled her hair, “That’s what you get for getting too arrogant, spookje.”  

Her disappointment soon turned into excitement at the sight of the massive stack of pancakes the two of them had managed to make. 

The stuck pancake was long forgotten as the little girl grabbed hold of a plate stacked to the high heavens with pancakes. She excitedly skipped her way to her mother's room with Theo following closely behind. She kicked the door open and bounded up to her mother's side, “Happy Pancake day!” 

You smiled down at your daughter and husband who was covered head to toe with flour and pancake batter. “Wow, is this all for me!” you pulled your daughter into your arms and started tickling her while leaving playful kisses all over her face as a thank you for the wonderful surprise. 

The three of you ate you maple soaked cakes in bed as your daughter excitingly recounted the events of the morning. She beamed with pride as she even pointed out, that she had added extra sugar to yours, knowing that you had a sweet tooth that not even your husband could match. 

While the three of you enjoyed your drowned syrupy delights, the sound of Sabastian's shrieking could be heard in the distance upon the discovery of the gigantic mess made in the kitchen. 

Theo and the little girl simply snickered at the sound of Sabastian angrily cursing in Japanese, as it had seemed that the pancake that had gotten stuck on the roof had landed straight onto the butler's head when he entered into the kitchen.

Kate. =___= Hate her. I despise that woman. She’s just not written well enough where I want to give her an ounce of understanding. A good villain needs to try and make me see their side, even if I don’t support it. I don’t even get what it is she wants. She’s chaotic evil but not in a fun way. I was satisfied when Peter killed her in S1. It was just a good ending to the season, for both their characters, and for the event that began the entire series. I was BEYOND angry when they brought her back. Don’t even get me started on the FURY I felt that Peter would work with her. Nah, son. Nope!

An unpopular opinion:

Where is the Sterek? I’m sorry, I absolutely 100% understand what it means to ship potential. (I do it all the time.) I’ve just been on the outside looking in at TW for a long time. I thought there’d be more Derek/Stiles content. I’ve been highkey disappointed there isn’t. T^T I mean, I absolutely LOVE the scenes that are there. I just wish there were more. I’ve been putting Sterek up on a pedestal of “Wow they must have as much canon goodness as McDanno or something.” D8  Love the potential. I was just ready to gush over a presumed mountain of content.

My Canon OTP:

Umm... I’m trying to think of any I like.......... I’m so blah for this teen angst. Okay, I think Stiles/Malia is cute. But only in a very specific way. It’s vague to me right now if they’re actually having sex (or just making out) and if they are, I hate it. But if it’s just virgin Stiles and feral child Malia who like to spoon-- amazing, sweet, precious, I love it. Thanks. If they have had sex, I’m ignoring that they’ve had sex.

My Non-canon OTP:

Peter/Chris! ♥o♥ I love all the AUs about them knowing each other as teens. Some serious Romeo and Juliet, yes! Big writing flop to not go all in on their relationship. Also I don’t know how the show is going to end, but I believe writing wants us to see both sides in this war. Monsters are not always evil; hunters are not always murderers for taking out the ones who are. Chris has come over to the side of the Supernatural now. There’s more understanding where he’s not just NOT killing them. He’s also protecting them. For a fuller, complete narrative, I think the series should have been framed with Peter seeing Chris’s original side as well. The two of them are the “adults” for each family. We need them to make peace. Through arranged marriage. Oh, also they’re both hot and should make out a lil.

Most Badass Character:

Hmm. I know I’m biased with my favs, but gotta be...... Chris because, I mean, dang. Oof the man is legit a total bad-a. If this were another show and he weren’t being overshadowed by all of these supernatural creatures, it’d be more apparent. But come on. The man can break out of a chair in seconds. He has the weapons of a small army. He can track and hunt. He’s got the moral code that keeps him in check and the restraint which comes with it. Sorry not sorry, there’s something hardcore about a man with a code he adheres to even if it doesn’t necessarily align with what he wants.

Most Epic Villain:

The Nogitsune is the obvious answer, but it is also the correct one. Hahahahaha.

Pairing I am not a fan of:

95% of the canon ones. I don’t care and writing can’t make me. Any fan ships I don’t like? I mean, idk, you do you, boo.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

It’s Peter, fam. Obviously it’s Peter. Sorry my bitterness of S4 is fresh. It was so OOC of him and highkey not even necessary. The only purpose served was a climactic fight scene. What even was his motivation??? Gah, so dumb and pointless. After he spent three seasons trying to get on everyone’s good side. Did I believe he was ever 100% sincere? No. There were too many sly smiles when no one was looking. But ffs, if you wanted him going evil again, you needed a bit more buildup than that!

Favourite Friendship:

Counts cause I say it does: Peter/Derek. LIKE! Peter loves Derek so much and I love it. YoY And Derek likes to cause Peter physical harm, and I love that too. Hahahaha. It’s a fun relationship. I love how Peter is always hovering and always just THERE at Derek’s loft. I love how when Derek needs backup, he goes to Peter. All the bad blood and distrust, but he still knows Peter will help him.

Character I most identify with:

I am none of these people. XD Where is the token quiet shy character? I can lawful good and compartmentalize my feelings à la Chris Argent though. ;)

lol i love them all rly, it’s just super refreshing to have an adult like nanami in a shounen

haha yeah, i’m definitely glad i’m not the oldest (bc that’s way too much responsibility for me, idk how they do it) so being player 2 as a younger sibling isn’t too bad, especially since it’s the story that i’m usually more interested in rather than the gameplay itself. i don’t have to worry about remembering which buttons to press in a fight when i can just watch the plot play out lol. That ask you received about the magazine made me laugh, glad you posted it hahaha. I'm trying to think now if we get suuuper cozy shots like that over here in North America. the only one that springs to mind is for Outlander but it was all in character / costume whereas this is just supposed to be as Hande & Kerem? Things sure are different in Turkey! I feel like the paps/media are also more straightforward too with their questions LOL dunno if it's the pandemic and they're desperate for info w/o candid pap shots or what but it's funny/second hand embarrassment inducing hahaha

The paps are waayyyy more straightforward. I blush at what they ask these poor actors, and they take some of their questions right from fan twitter chatter. Fans jump to some stupid conclusion and the next thing you know the paps are asking the question like it’s a legit thing.  A week or so ago, I loved how Hande shut one of them down when the pap kept misquoting the H/K live and trying to make it out that she was the one who called Kerem to convince him to stick with the project rather than the other way around. I mean it takes just two minutes to actually watch the thing yourself and get it straight, which is not too much to ask if you’re gonna actually accost the celebrity with the question! 

I do like how Kerem often plays dumb with them. Like on Monday when he was stopped by paps and they said the first photo was released he pretended like he had no idea. Suuuuure, friend. 

You make a good point about pandemic desperation, there’s no events anymore, not really any random restaurant/out-and-about type sightings of celebrities, so I guess the paps and tabloids need something to sell to stay in business. So they’ve got to ask about things like social media activity, and whose mom follows whom, because that’s all there is happening right now. 

As for the photoshoot, I agree, I don’t think any of my favs over the years have ever done anything like this. I know which Outlander shoot you’re talking about and you’re exactly right that it’s different because they were in character.  Hande and Kerem were not in character in these photos, I mean, all one needs to do is look at Kerem’s hair, lmao. All to say, I’m sure it’s not hard for them to turn it on, they’ve spend the last 8 months being paid to create that type of fantasy. But doing it out of costume was definitely... a choice... on their part. At the very least, they are very good to their fans.

Y'all, Pieter Cross is another dc superhero - one of my favs.

This lovely accented doctor, Pieter Anton Cross, is none other than Doctor Mid-Nite (the second). here's some pics (the first is w his bffl/platonic life partner Michael Holt aka Mister Terrific)

Pieter graduated from Harvard Medical at 19. He's essentially the Hero Community's go-to doctor for everything.

"Doctor Mid-Nite is the world's most prominent superhero doctor. He is often called upon when an autopsy is needed, or when a hero needs major surgery."

Ye, he's had to autopsy his dead friends :( he also does casual checkups. Powergirl goes to him for her check ups and to keep an eye on her powers. He's done a bunch of life-saving surgeries on not only the heroes but ALSO their loved ones! He performed surgery on Lois Lane after she got shot. When Hush removed Catwoman's heart from her body, Doctor Mid-nite and Mister Terrific were able to successfully put it back in and save her.

You not only want him in ur corner when ur hurt, u need him. There's none better! Imagine the sheer amount of crazy powerful allies he has bcus he saves all sorts of heroes and their loved ones! U don't attack the healer unless u wanna get fucked up by the rest of the squad, right? U also don't piss the healer off unless u wanna suffer, right? Same energy, fam. It helps that he can perform surgery flawlessly in the fuckin pitch dark.

He's disabled! In fact, Doctor Mid-Nite is credited as the first disabled superhero in comics! They're talking about Charles McNider, his predecessor, but Pieter Cross is also disabled. He's blind. I won't go into his whole origin but suffice to say he was unwillingly drugged and it caused him to go totally blind except for in the absolute dark.

He can only see in the dark and/or with his specialized lenses iirc. He carries smoke grenades that cause absolute blackness (think vanta black bombs) bcus he can see just fine in it and others can't. Any attack that involves having to see the attack (think Medusa's gaze) doesn't work on him cus he's conventionally blind. HOWEVER when he can see, it's fuckin crazy. Eagles got nothing on how sharp his eyes are in the right setting. Like we're talking super vision.

Those funky lenses on his cowl? They're to let him see in the light. It's kinda like infrared goggles and can let him see ultrasonic as well. Without his tools, he can't see. He got his sight back once and hated it bcus he could no longer work the way he used to.

Okay, full disclosure, I might be a little tipsy right now, but who cares, I was just on twitter and I’m SO TIRED I fucking want to bash (see what I did here?) my head on the wall.

Because I can’t bloody believe that there’s this flood of negativity after 6x11 when the episode treated us so well??? Suddenly no one remembers the shitstorm that was s5? Seasons 2-4, when sometimes we didn’t have ANY bellarke interactions for a few whole eps?? And after the beauty of S6 we’re still angry, because... what? Because we didn’t get everything we wanted THIS VERY MOMENT? While there are 2 more eps left? While the radio calls line from the trailer is still waiting for us (yeah, I don’t believe for one second they cut it, they never did that with the previous seasons’ trailers, and there are even whole shots in that trailer that haven’t aired yet in the show)? While Bellamy still has a GIRLFRIEND and we might joke that half the time he doesn’t remember about this little detail, but he sure as hell won’t cheat on her (and we love him for it)? While (no matter what you think) bellarke is Jason’s baby and I always thought that if they are to became officially canon it will be in his ep aka probably the last ep of a season?

So please PLEASE chill. It’s fine to be angry or disappointed, but can’t we at least wait with this till the season ends and see if there’s actually a reason to be disappointed? ...this is giving me a headache (yes, definitely this, not the wine).

For a moment let’s forget some crazy expectations and look at what 6x11 really gave us - you call it breadcrumbs, I call it a SHIFT. Because bellarke from 6x11 is a bellarke I’ve never seen before. This is 4x13 BUT MORE. 6x11 didn’t backtrack on the development in 6x10, it hit a pause on it. But you know what? It’s still bleeding through. The desperation Bellamy felt is still shimmering under the surface everytime Clarke volunteers to go back to Sanctum (my fav was the moment Gabriel shoots down his main problem with the plan [ok, let’s put the chip back in Clarke] and he’s in literal panic and cuts off the discussion with “sorry, nope” which kinda doesn’t sound like a legit argument). Clarke is still looking at him as if he hung the moon and the stars on the sky. THE TOUCHING. Every time they were close, there was a touch: on her tigh and hand when she woke up; on his arm, when she send him to go after O; on her arm, when he went outside to see what’s going on; on his shoulder when she freed him (feat.The Lingering Look™). And it wasn’t just to reassure the other in a “I’ve got your back, we’re in this together” kind of way. This touching was almost subconscious, as if this need for closeness was the most natural thing in the world for them.

This is an action sci-fi show. The clock is ticking, lives are at stake so they pull their shit together and prepare to fight, but by NO MEANS we’re ignoring what happened. I mean why do you think we expect them to kiss every scene they have? Because the chemistry is off the charts. The longing, the softness, the intimacy so much stronger than ever before. They want to turn it off and switch back to business mode, but they can’t. This time it’s just too much. He tries to reason with himself “I can’t, I have a gf” and she does too “I can’t, he has a gf”. I believe they’re not that stupid when it comes to their feelings as we think, but they’re also good people in a big emotional mess. And this anticipation for an explosion is absolutely delicious~

Okay, I’m sobering up and this is getting too long. Anyway, this whole rant brought me to one point: after 6x10 I’m so damn happy and sure they’re gonna get together, I don’t really care about anything else. They crossed the line. It’s gonna happen. Be it this season’s finale, or season 7, doesn’t matter. This is our epic slow burn and I, for one, gonna enjoy every minute of it.

summer 2019 anime sum-up

lmao i realized i never did this and posted the fall season b4 this.... oops

kimetsu no yaiba: tbh started out kinda meh. and now it’s turned into one of the new big shounens. i was not expecting that. nearing the end got rly good and i was rly looking forward to more episodes! tanjiro gets cooler and cooler! animation is rly nice (thanks ufotable) and the way tanjiro’s water is animated. like. aesthetic asf. it’s so good. i love black-haired emo dude and zenitsu (my spirit animal) and ofc nezuko she is adorable im c r y. side note: the hashira? i think they’re called? some of the ugliest fkn characters i’ve seen in ages like flame boy? stone boy? i HATE them. and the gem dude too like man get a new tattoo artist on god.... he needs it.,,,,,,and inosuke is so pretty it’s unfair

dr stone: ok man dr stone rly went off. tbh. i’ve always been a whore for chemistry since reading the flavia de luce series (btw, i want more books of) and watching this just tickles my noodle brain in a good way... who needs prozac when i get a shitton of serotonin from watching senku dick around....  (btw what is going on with what’s his face and the girl. yuzuriha????? i can’t remember. i love senku don’t get me wrong but i need their perspective too... bc i hate lion dude... so much.... dick....) again i will repeat that i am a whore for chemistry so i get oFF on this. backgrounds are amazing/ animation so nice n clean (most o the time lmao). i thought i would hate the black n white haired trickster boi and ms yellow ponytail and suika but no! dr stone is such a good show that they are now great, loveable characters. also i am senku and chrome’s whore so jfc. man, i love the explanations of all the chemistry shabang, but some things i think would be better if explained! like senku doing physical labour at the beginning- ex. making all those pots and building that shit by hisself. i know he weak af. yes he smart but like. construction? difficult. pottery? even for me the artist . difficult. and that shed of his was filled to the brim. HOW. anyways, i love this so much i am crying constantly

danmachi 2: wtf yo. haruhime is so pretty but not a fan of her personality! bell still cute af and still don’t rly like aiz! animation good as always, and my god i shit myself whenever the argonaut theme starts up bc that is ? one of the best pieces of non-sawano hiroyuki pieces i’ve ever heard? addicted to it. and the opening! love the dynamics, the brief ‘rain’ scenes like when mikoto slashes the raindrops and just her motion basically? as an animator that is what i aspire to accomplish because i just love that. tiny little scene. 

arifureta: this would have been so much better had they dragged out mc’s op-ifying process! made him suffer more! i explained this briefly in my ‘first thoughts’ post for this season, but story-wise and pacing-wise his power-up could have been so much more deserved and gratifying. think shield hero- loser suffers, gets angry, slowly builds up power in an epic payoff! would have been so epic too. and also if they’d made his gained powers less.... crazy nerfed. again: HE SHOULD HAVE SUFFERED MORE AND THIS WOULD HAVE MADE A BETTER SHOW. harem thoughts: yue- meh. sucky char honestly. shea- my fav girl, she is a great character don’t judge- sexy and love her personality and love her character design and love how much fanservice she gets lol. panty flash ftw. dragon girl- discount darkness honestly , tho nice design. and mermaid girl- yuck, annoying,  DO NOT like the ‘papa’ trope! (ahem sao.) it’s gross. also just fuck mc’s classmates honestly- paladin dude sucks ass, healer girl OOF that last episode ruined her, samurai girl is ok i guess. hate ai-sensei too like shut UPP annoying ass HOEEEEE (postscript: opening=very epic too)

kanata no astra: plot twist? check. trillion well-done plot twists? check. this was done very well. i am so happy. all those plot twists and turns would usually suck in any regular anime- but this was written with GODLIKE ability. thank you, lerche. legit, this was such an enjoyable ride, i eagerly awaited each new ep! typically i hate space-related stuff but like! survival stuff gets my goat.... like this was good- (tho maybe more technical-stuff in the survival theme would make it so cooler) what shocked me the most: (spoilers alert) didn’t end up hating quitterie or funi. (tho the puppet made me want to strangle smth) luca’s gender had rly confused me but i’d decided on him being a boy- so basically that reveal left me like WHOA. i died. did luca rly have to show emo boy their tity tho... kanata losing his arm gave me the yeeeks, charce being the traitor was made sO WELL into a surprise even tho i’d kinda already suspected him<- like that was just fucking amazing writing there. gj. and ares the princess! ok man! shocked! AND also the whole clone thing, just fucked me right up. up the ass. like there are probably more plot twist layers in this than a fkn ogre has.... anyway shrek aside, yun?’s character arc was very pleasing, i think that was done very well! and the ending made me UwU like BRO? goals tbh. yeah this is a hidden gem and is just so good, so well-written overall. 

cop craft: didn’t have high expectations. i am now,,, quite,,, shocked &,,, blown away. sweetheart this is a good fucking show. so why @ livechart.me DOES IT HAVE 7.40 STARS WHEN FKN ARIFURETA HAS 7.72. can someone explain this to me? i’m outraged. LIVID.  matoba and tilarna were amazing characters btw! loved their dynamic! briefly i thought it might get romantic! nope, it didn’t, so it’s all good. actions scenes were epic, tilarna’s design and outfits were so much nicer than i thought they’d be like. she is so cute. and the op- man, if that is not such a bopper vibe then idk what is. i could watch it forever. it deserves so much more than what it’s got rn.

naka no hito genome: (serious question: is this considered some sort of isekai?) genome gave me btooom vibes honestly but like- this is SO much better than btooom and most game/trap/ kinda shows. fkn BOP of an op, especially the sequence at the end with short clips of each character in action (nutt). paka-san was a good boy and he deserves irl merch. i fell in LOve with all the characters (bubble boy= hot, akatsuki= ok meh actually kinda boring, karin= hot and i want her to punch me, ruromori= beautiful 12/10 would let her stalk me, sleepy eyes boy= baby + dazai vibes and hot af, twin boy= also hot, onigasaki= hot and love him so much, and loli girl= her light grenades got annoying but nice char design) anyways yeah more of this would be epic. i wanna see sakura and her twin reunite, and how they get out basically! also animation quality was very good which is surprising considering it’s a silver link anime.

(also livechart.me why 7.27 stars i will fuck you up) only meh part of this is the return to earth from dela granto bc that was like a culture shock and honestly at that point i’d forgotten a lot about what had happened on earth and didn’t care as much. btw, f ayumi and f the other brown-haired oneesan. mio and kanna ftw. obvs i didn’t understand the sayless x takuya thing like dumbass horny teenager . why u gotta creampie the worst girl. u have mio. bruh. (tho mio x ‘oyabi!’ boy is a great ship) also, takuya’s mom? keiko-san? idk if you’ve noticed but that’s literally my name so yeah just glad to finally have some keiko representation. altogether goodass anime. the time travel/ rezero esque reset thing almost got me but this was done well. so no problems. both ops very good. first song was bae, second also bae (just realized it’s by konomi suzuki, one of my waifu idols, so yea nice) and ed2 also so pretty! also yu-no’s design was rly pretty, the outfit colours, and her pigtails rly suited her :)

granbelm: sorry this is the last one lol this was a long ass post! other than the fact i dont rly like mecha this was good.... action, CHARACTER designs aesthetic asf, honestly rly pretty ok. i liked the cast, very diverse and more depth than most shows of this ilk. op was nicely choreographed- especially the part where the girls’ faces are contorted by their gems, showing their magical girl side. nicely done. mangetsu didn’t end up being that bad a char, and honestly? suigetsu is best girl and deserved better. and the ending too- like, bro, that made me kinda sad. some off points: anna’s mom was a little unrealistic as a mom like woman- please learn to control your child, and, white-haired girl’s sister should have played a bigger part, based on how her parts in the opening were emphasized! (quick note- blue girl, love her, great bad guy, when she dumped anna made me so happy honestly, she is beautiful, and i couldn’t actually decide who i wanted to win between her and suigetsu....)

aikatsu on parade episode 7 spoilers (rewatching)

I wonder if we’ll catch Raki’s sis before s2....

a lot of the scenes in the beginning of this ep are copied from Ichigo’s very first appearance in the very first ep of oldkatsu... wow....!! (like in an homage way, not a bad way. obviously)

it’s so weird thinking of how different public perception of Raki must be in the oldkatsuverse vs. the starsverse. I know the last ep was supposed to cover the whole span of her making the mistake, atoning for it, and then being totally forgiven by everyone, but it’s still hard to imagine her not being known as ‘some rando who interrupted the S4 live’, even if it’s with the qualification ‘and we all love her now’. meanwhile, here she’s known for the costume contest and how cute and quirky everyone thought her costume was. I’m getting whiplash just thinking about her hopping btw the two worlds and having to navigate that.

huh, I guess the Lilac Fairy coord is Ichigo’s most recent PR. I always think of the Aurora Kiss and Pisces ones before I think of it, but that’s my personal bias I guess.

Raki’s sudden intense interest in Spicy Ageha as opposed to cute brand Angely Sugar is suddenly very interesting given that we now know she has a sexy-type PR coming up. I’m sure she’ll end up as a cute-type idol in the end and this is probably just coincidence, but still... it’s like there’s a hidden wish to be a sexy-type idol trapped in her or something, haha. (influence from her big sis, maybe?)

GOD look at what good friends they are....... I got a little watery watching this ep the first time remembering how Soleil’s just, so close with each other.... absolutely no one in Stars was like that, and Friends legit felt way more romantic than friendly so while it wasn’t bad (it was ABSOLUTELY NOT BAD), it was different. but Soleil’s there for each other..... forever...... waaaaah I  love the m

it’s wild that they’re just able to spend the night there... did Ichigo’s mom even ask if they needed to contact someone or what (obviously this is the kind of pesky detail that doesn’t need to be included in a kids’ multiverse anime but I’m still thinking about it)

bouquets from: Luminas (pink roses and peonies), PowaPowa Puririn (balloons), Yurika-sama (blue roses), Kaede Sushi (stars and english), Mizuki (flowers in sexy-type colors lmao).... they were only on screen for a couple of seconds but they put a lot of thought into who would send what, and even that they thought to include it at all is so nice. I love aikatsu

hate how Orihime(’s seiyuu) says fuan instead of fan. I always have, and I still do. I know some people just say it like that like how some people say hwat instead of what in english but they’re also wrong and so is this.

kyaaaaaa!! Soleil!!!

this is my least fav Spicy Ageha PR (I actually really like aikatsu’s Generic Sexy-Type Coord aesthetic.....) but otherwise this performance is perfect. ah, I guess I don’t love being reminded of how they used to not sing on the runway stages but that’s Just Aikatsu Things

Aoi’s stage is perfect. all of it is perfect. and I totally forgot this performance bc I think of Stranger Alien first and only when I see this coord, so I had a nice moment of ‘totally new Aoi performance?!?’ too for a moment lol
