absolutely he is
there's about an 11 year difference between them (Miles is 14, Peter is 25), so it's a lot more like the older brother type of relationship that Peter has with Tim (despite Tim being his uncle). Peter has mentored(ish) other young heroes by this point (mostly in the Bats' universe) but since Miles is another Spider-Man, Peter takes up most of the responsibility in making sure Miles is safe and teaching him the ropes. That's HIS sassy child genius, thank you, and he's not a sidekick, he's Spider-Man.
He was also adamant that Miles tell his parents immediately, and gets along great with Rio and Jeff.
Which is HILARIOUS to me because at this point in time, Peter has built up a persona for the public eye just like the Bats did. In Rio and Jeff's eyes, they're gobsmacked that the clumsy, scatterbrained, and "scaredy-cat" kid that Tony Stark adopted a while ago is Spider-Man. (Technically, none of this is a lie. Because Peter is a terrible liar unless it's For the Jokes, and often comes across this way even if he hadn't meant to.) They're wondering how he pulled that off since he's the same age as Spider-Man, who is known to be an Avenger, and associates in the same circles as Peter. It helps that Peter and Spider-Man have been in a social media war, and that Peter works at the Daily Bugle that is known for disliking Spider-Man. Peter's been taking lessons for years atp to keep his identity safe. Which is also bonus points to Peter, because the two can tell that secret identities mean everything to him, but he told them who he was in a heartbeat (literally the very first thing he did when he found Miles).
In other words: Peter was ecstatic to become a teacher for his own matching superhero kid and it's one of the most important bonds in his life. That's his baby brother now!!

free my complex female character, she did the same thing as complex male characters but the fandom takes Any analysis of her actions/choices/motivations that doesn’t strip her of all of her agency in bad faith and claims that only misogynists would dare to critique the things that they’ve noticed in her character because she’s a woman, completely ignoring the over-presence of discourse about similarly traited male characters in their fandom.

That prev post reminded me how much it weirds me tf out when someone only interacts with specific subsets of a minority group and learns their associated niche behavior patterns, and then tries to apply those patterns to every member of that minority that they meet afterwards only to be shocked when it doesn’t work.

the first two are on the front of the machine, which means he can stare at me while i work (and judge me when im distracted) but the raised edging means ill have to trim him down or fold him over to fit. (theres slightly more room for his elbows on the right)

I feel like Angela and Hazel would really like desktop zen gardens...
Specifically, I'm imagining Angela browsing carefully to find the most perfect prim and proper little thing and meanwhile Hazel's just taking fistfuls of sand from the beach and filling a box with her favorite rocks so they can have a nice home.
I also saw a coffin-shaped one with gravestones for the rocks and it felt like something Hazel would get her dad.

i was finally able to have the house to myself for a bit today... brought all my dirty dishes out of my room and was able to tidy up a little bit without feeling weird
#by tidy up i mean put my dirty clothes into a hamper and my clean clothes onto the floor so i can reclaim my bed#i dont know why i feel so stressed taking dirty dishes out of my room with other ppl around#im self conscious. i think because my mom would get mad if she saw me doing it#and that leads to bad eating (not being able to eat) etc.#i took rlly poor care of myself this week.... but it felt like it just didnt slow down#i was barely able to feed myself cause there was just no time for grocery shopping#and i STILL need to grade tomorrow#bc thr fucking. kids. are so stupid. using chatgpt and making my head hurt#i cant wait to grocery shop tomorrow#i might try and get up early for it so theres no one around but we'll see#me saying 'i cant wait to grocery shop' u know its bad when i HATE grocery shopping#but this evening was wonderful... after a field trip day that was good for me (got sun on my face) i came home and washed my hair#and got cozy and played stardew valley and balatro#i'll do laundry tomorrow... grade... grocery shop... try and just relax#anyway ur still here. gives u a thanks 4 reading sticker

Alright so. I'm getting into junk journaling. At least, I'm going to try to! I have a plan to start myself off with 2, one for personal/random shit so I don't feel so confined, and one focused on my plushies!! Not every one of my plushies will get a page but I will dedicate a page to whoever inspires me in a particular moment. I may not share every page right away. But if I fill in an entire journal I will try to show the finished results of what I created! I will also be doing this at my leisure because this new hobby is an outlet for my creatively and mainly my emotions. Shout out to @ cafe-mouse for inspiring me
#ik cafe-mouse didn't specify if they were making their art of coffe as a junk journaling thing#but I did research on what they were doing n it brought up junk journaling in my search results#n then I fell down a rabbit hole of beautiful and messily created books filled with cardstock stickers and magazine cutouts#and it got me so hype!#my therapist has been wanting me to find a creative outlet to express my emotions#especially because I can't bring myself to draw when Im sad/angry/anxious. nor do I feel comfortable with regular journaling#but last week we were talking about maybe having me make collages yo express myself#n then I saw cafe-mouse's beautiful work#and so its all come together into this decision to start this hobby#my goal is to focus more on the collage/randomness of junk journaling instead of actually writing in them#although I will be doing that a lot in my plushie junk journal#I will write info about my plushies on one side and make a collage for them on the other#in my regular junk journal I will focus on making collages based on mood first anf then maybe add some writing into it#I already have a lot of supplies for this (I collect stickers as well as plushies so I have a lot of material to work with)#my grandmother-in-law is also a hige crafter so she's given me plenty of cardstock and stuff to use#and I also have random junk that I collect that I can add in as well (I knew it would come in handy someday!!)#Im just really hype about ths and hope it turns out well and that I don't give up#viti shoosh
