My sick little baby (a mini read)
Finally finished this, been sitting in my draft for about a year and a half tbh:( When reader gets sick and and anddd she’s super subby and eren is soo daddy (fave eren) and just wanna baby her :) Sweet 🧁 (not proof read mb lol I’ll edit later)
When y/n got home from school she didn’t feel the best but she still pushed herself to clean up a little and make dinner for her husband Eren before he gets home from work, but when she woke up the next morning her head was pounding and her stomach was dropped when she sat up and the next thing she knew she was up and running to the bathroom and leaning into the toilet letting the rest of last nights dinner out. When she was done her eyes were watering and she was dizzy as she walked back to her bed.
She pouted when she realized her husband had already left for work and laid on his side of the bed. It was not long before tears was streaming down her face because she hated being sick especially when her daddy wasn’t there with her. She grabbed her phone from the other side of the bed and called him. She was in no shape to take care of herself and she knew it. It rang twice before his smooth voice hit her ears. “Wassup baby?”
“Papa…I don’t feel good.” Her lip quivered and her voice cracked feeling her stomach cramp up. “baby what’s the matter?” He cooed stopping his hand movement from writing on his paper now feeling worried for his little princess.
“Can you come home? I think I have the flu.” She whined, wishing he was home already to make her feel better. “You did feel hot when I was in bed with you this morning…you need daddy to come home to take care of you?”
“Yes please I need you, I already throw up and I feel so weak..” she whispered. That was all she needed to say before he was packing his suitcase up and headed to his car to get to his beloved wife.
When he got home he found her curled on the couch wrapped in her pink and white fluffy blanket watching finding Nemo. When he sat his keys down her head popped up he could tell what kind of mood she was in with the pout on her lips, his subby whiny baby.
“Oh my poor babyy.” Eren cooed picking her up bridle style sitting her on his lap. Her bottom lip wobbled and she grabbed on to him tightly. “My princess doesn’t feel good?” She shook her head cuddling his neck. “Have you eaten yet?” She let out a quiet no in the sweetest voice and it melted Erens heart. He sat her back down and headed to the kitchen looking around for something to give her to eat then his mom’s chicken noodle soup recipe popped up in his head. Whenever eren was sick as a kid she would make him chicken noodle soup and crackers and it alway made him feel better..So he got to it, it was a easy and quick recipe and it took no longer than 15 minutes, He also made a her a cup of liquid iv in her pink and white teddy bear water bottle.
Erens pov—
“Here drink this princess…” I shook her awake and gave her the cup, her shaky hands reached out to grab it. My baby was so weak it broke my heart, she was mostly dehydrated from barely drinking or eating for the whole morning. I put my hand on her forehead and she was burning up, i cringed a fever was a good sign because I knew that her body was fighting off whatever it was but I definitely needed to check her temperature.
I went and got the thermometer and her medicine, soon as she saw me coming with the bubblegum pink bottle of liquid she whined loudly, being very overly dramatic. She hated taking medicine with a passion but of course I wasn’t going to just let her sit there with a runny nose and a headache and not do anything.
I poured her a big tablespoon of the medication and lifted it to her mouth, her lips sat in a pout.
I sighed, “baby please open up, it’s gonna make you feel better, promise.” She shook her head no, she was in no way ever a bad girl but as soon as she got sick she was very testy with me.
I hated to get stern with her at a time like this, her eyes glossy and lips pouted so prettily on her face.
Open, now I’m not going to say it again.” I tilted her head up with my two fingers.
“But pap—“ soon as she opened her mouth I shoved the spoon in her mouth, her little dramatic ass gagged as she swallowed it down, scrunched up face like she just teated the most foul thing in the world. I chuckled as I rolled my eyes.
“This will make you feel better promise, now let’s get some food in you.” She whined and rubbed her stomach.
“My tummy hurts I don’t wanna’ papa” she whimpered but of course she still ate, because no way was I about to let her go all day without eating or drinking. She drank half her cup of water and was all ready feeling a little better.
I grabbed her and carried her up stairs to our bathroom to run her a hot bath.
My bath was a jet tub so when I poured some of her favorite bubble bath there was more bubbles than water at this point, I made the water hot because she normally liked to be boiled alive every time she takes a bath or shower.
“I just wanna lay down..” I turned around to see her standing in the bathroom door way, her teddy bear in hand.
“I know but you’re sweaty baby, C’mere.” When her head touched my chest her whole body went limp and supported its-self against me.
“Let’s get you outta these clothes” I mumble, tossing her shirt to the other side of the bathroom, into her hamper. I lifted her up and placed her in the tub. I smile, Her aching body begins to loosen up from the warm water, her chunky little cheeks squashed from pressing them against the cold edge of the tub finally feeling like she’s able to relax she lies her head down on the edge of the tub, whimpering every time I gently message her scalp. Her once fresh braids now a bit frizzed for tossing and turning on my cotton pillow case without her silk hello kitty bonnet.
“You feel good baby?” I smile, she nods her head only before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep. I grabbed her bath rag and wiped her runny nose gently trying to not irritate it more than it already was, red and raw from blowing it all day. I wash her body, starting from face to chest, to her bottom half to her feet, trying not wake her.
I grabbed her towel and carry her, her legs dangling at my side secured with my hands interlocking under her butt. She let a huffed breath, coddling her face into my neck.
I putt lotion on her whole body, head to toe. I placed my shirt that looked like a dress, stopping mid thigh to her.
“Papa?” I heard softly, looking up from sliding her panties on. Her big brown eyes filling with tears. Worried, I moved up to her face and wiped them with my thumb stroking her face. Her skin so soft and clean
“What’s the matter pumpkin?”
“I..I love you so much, you’re the best husband I could have ever asked for, you take such good care of me.” She cried her lip wobbling, my poor baby was always so emotional whenever she was sick.
“I know baby, I know, I love you and I’ll always take care of you. Through sickness and health till death do us part baby I mean it.” I grin seeing a giggle creep through her pouty face.
“You’re so corny.” She smiled, for the first time today.
“I know as long as I get to see that beautiful I’ll say whatever.” I mumble kissing her lips softly.
“You feel better?” She nodded closing her eyes briefly before answering me with a quiet yes. “M’ sleepy ..”
“Yeah? Alright let’s go to sleep.” I pulled her to the top of the bed and wrapped my arms around her, her arms tucked between us both, while her head rests in my chest.
My sick little baby .. I thought before kissing her on the forehead and drifting off to sleep myself

Y/N'S POV
I stared in the mirror at my reflection as I put on my earrings and all my jewelry. I was getting ready for something my friend had planned, I think she was just running low on content for her youtube channel and needed something to post. My bestfriend Mia was a Youtube with over three hundred and forty subscribers, She has had me and our other friend Miguel in a couple of videos, and some we appeared in together. The second video we appeared in was when the comments started, Some of the comments said stuff like,
"Look at the way they look at each other!"
"He is so in love with her"
"They are defiantly dating!? OMG!!"
And not to mention the mass amounts of fan edits we both have been tagged in where the fans ship us together. I didn't know Miguel personally, He is just usually there when Mia is filming and so am I, I thought he was very attractive and he defiantly made me nervous when we got too close, The way he would look at me was like I was the only girl in the world.
I have told Mia about my small (HUGE) crush on Miguel and she freaked out and told me I needed to ask him out or tell him about my feelings, but I just never did because I was always scared he would reject me or think differently of me even though it didn't matter because it's not like we hang out alone.
I also am kinda talking to somebody at the moment, It isn't anything serious and we aren't in a relationship or anything, I just thought he was attractive and wanted to get to know him, but from what my other friend Ash told me he is a player, I don't really care I just wanted a distraction for my feelings for Miguel.
I saw my phone light up with a notification from Mia, I grabbed my phone and clicked on her message.
Mia Bear 🐻💕
Are you ready?
I'm parked outside hurry!
I'm ready just need to apply lipgloss omw!
I'm so excited!
I think you're gonna like who I picked for you 🤭
I hope so, is it that Bryan guy? cause if so I ain't going
What?
No! This guy is short sorry lol
But he is cute AND funny I KNOW you will like him
Now hurry your apartment complex is scary
I sighed as I shut my phone off and put it in my back pocket, I put on some lipgloss and looked at myself once more in my full-body mirror to make sure I still looked good, I then walked out of my bedroom and shut my lights out and said bye to my animals and grabbed my purse walking out of my door and making sure to lock it behind me.
I walked into my elevator and clicked "Main floor" I waited for the elevator to open and walked out to see Mia parked outside talking to her Camera in the car, She looked over and saw me walking up to her and pointed the Camera at me,
"Oh my damn, You look good if he doesn't take you I will," She said zooming in on my outfit
I giggled doing a little spin for the camera, "So are you ready?" She asked as I got in her car
"I don't know, You said he was short," I said side-eyeing her
"You got a problem with short men?" She shouted laughing after
"No it's just a lot of short guys think they are hot shit and they ALWAYS have a big ego," I said
"I promise you are going to like this guy, He's humble," She said
It's not that I didn't trust Mia- I did one hundred percent, It's just me and her have completely different tastes when it comes to people we date, I hope she ACTUALLY picked someone I would go for and not someone she would go for, does that make sense?
We pulled up to a park and she told me she would be right back and that she had to go seat something up. I was so nervous so I decided to take my mind off of it by Taking some cute pictures and liking some fan edits.
Mia opened the car door after fifteen minutes, She climbed in and pulled out her camera,
"You ready?" She asked
"Yeah kinda," I laughed
"Don't be, You look great," She smiled and turned her camera on setting it on her dashboard
"So me and Y/n just arrived!" She said to the camera
"Hey guysss!" I smiled
"So all you know is what?" She asked turning to look at me
"So all I know is it's a blind date, we are going to the park and that's all I know," I said
"Yeah I didn't tell you much cause I didn't want to spoil it," She said
"I need to know if I am wearing a blindfold and do I get to see who it is like right when I get there?" I asked
"Yeah I'm gonna keep the blindfold on you guy's until you like- sit down," She said
"I kinda wanna keep the blindfold on," I said covering my face
"What your scared he's uggo, He isn't uggo I promise I would never do you dirty EVER!" She said laughing
"Good I didn't think you would," I said laughing with her
"Alright give me all your thoughts," She said as fixed her camera some
"Okay so when you said blind date I was like aw cute and fun, but I am also in like a sticky situation, I do have a little bit of a situationship going on but it's not like I'm somebodies girlfriend," I said
"But it's fine you can still go on this date," She said
She opened her glove box and pulled out a pink bandana and unfolded it,
"So I got this bandana, but I don't want to ruin your lashes so it's gonna have to be a bit loose so don't move around a lot," She laughed as she put the bandana on my face and tied it in the back
"Alright I think that's good, Can you breathe?" She asked
"Yeah I think- Enough I can breathe enough," I said laughing
"Oh shit I'll be right back, don't take your blindfold off okay," She said as she opened the car door and got out
I sat in silence for another fifteen minutes not knowing what to do cause I couldn't go on my phone due to the blindfold on my face, I laughed at the thought of people looking at me through the window wondering what is going on.
I heard the car door open and Mia breathing heavy
"Are you recording?" I asked
"Yeah, I am now why?" She asked
"Oh my god I'm over here with a blindfold on and I can't see anything and all I can hear is Mia over here breathing like a dog," I said laughing
She laughed shutting the car door
"I just know I'm gonna be so annoying on this date and I'm like so sorry," She said
"Wait no It's okay I'm glad you're here because if you would just leave us to fend for ourselves I would like kinda panic," I said
"Maybe I should then," She said
"NOOO!" I whined
"No i'm kidding I won't I'm gonna be annoying," She said laughing
"Isn't this like the perfect first date, like it's kinda romantic huh?" She asked
"Mmm, I don't know about that," I said laughing
"I'll be right back," She said as she got out of the car
MIA'S POV
"Ahh I'm so excited!" I shouted to the camera as I ran toward my bestfriend Miguel's car
He just got here and he looked a little nervous as he got out of the car, And it looked like he also brought his other bestfriend Mason, I blushed a bit as I and Mason made eye contact, I kinda liked Mason and Miguel knew that, He tried to get me and him together plenty of times but I have just never confessed my feelings.
"Are you excited about your blind date!?" I asked Miguel
"Oh, Mason's here to help me!" I said as I pointed the camera at Mason
"You're taking away my boyfriend bro what is this," He said
"Shut up!" I laughed as I handed him the Camera so I could put on Miguel's blindfold
"Are you excited?" I asked Miguel as I put on his blindfold
"Yeah- well I'm gonna be honest I was hyping myself up on my way here but now I'm here and I'm kinda shitting bricks," He said laughing
"Well I wouldn't put you with someone you wouldn't think was cute," I said
"Well that makes me even more nervous," He said
"Don't stutter alright you got this," Mason said reassuring Miguel
"Bro you literally have thousands of girls crushing on you over the internet you got this," I said
We got out of the car and Mason ran over to our side to film,
"Wait I got her flowers!" Miguel said
"You got her flowers?" I asked surprised
"Yeah I didn't know if I should or not but it is a date so," He said laughing
Mason ran to the trunk and pulled out a huge bouquet of roses,
"Miguel what is this oh my god!" I said walking over to Mason to look at the flowers
I had completely forgotten Miguel was blindfolded, "HOLY SHIT!!" Mason yelled I looked back to see a car speeding in Miguel's direction, I quickly ran over and dragged him towards me, and Mason
"You just almost died!" Mason yelled laughing
"Huh?" Miguel asked confused
"Mia almost let you get ran over bro!" Mason shouted
"Back to what I was saying!" I said laughing
"Miguel, why did you get her this many flowers?" I asked since it was so cute
"Oh it's a Ramo Buchon, I got it because I kinda have a feeling of who you are setting me up with," he said
"No, you don't, She is like super tall- like model tall- like taller than you!" I said
I looked at Mason trying to hold in my laugh and he was doing the same
"Damn model tall, How tall is she?" He asked
"Like six foot five," I said trying not to laugh
"Oh hell nah you trynna set me up with an NBA player, I'm good bro," He said trying to walk away but bumped into the side of his car
"No come back you can't see, dumbass," I said
I grabbed his hand and started leading him to the spot that I had set up for him and Y/n, Mason was carrying the flowers and the camera. The spot had a pink blanket spread across the grass with some sandwiches and I also got them some water so they could stay hydrated since it was hot as shit outside.
"Is she really six foot five?" He asked
"Yes, she is!" I said laughing
"Oh god," He mumbled
"Are you still nervous?" I asked
"Hell yeah, I am so nervous Mia," He said
"Okay talk to the camera," I said
"I just- what if she doesn't like me or what if I don't like her?" He said
I was trying to listen but he kept squeezing my hand, was he really THAT nervous?
"OWW, YOU'RE SQUEEZING MY HAND!!" I shouted trying to lose his grip
"Sorry, I'm just nervous!" He shouted back
"Alright we are here," I said
"Just sit down," Mason said
"Uh, I can't see?" Miguel said
"Oh shit right, here!" I said guiding him to sit on the blanket
"I got you some sandwiches and some waters," I said
"Okay, can I take the blindfold off?" He asked
"NO I'm about to go get her, Just sit there and don't talk because she's gonna recognize your voice I feel like," I said
"Okay, hurry up," He said laughing
Mason handed the flowers to Miguel and we both rushed over to my car to get Y/n,
"Alright I am gonna walk you to your knight in shining armor," I said as I opened my car door
"Ahh I'm so nervous!" Y/n said
"No it's fine, Tell me your thoughts," I said as I guided her to the spot Miguel was at
"Honestly I'm a liar, I'm not really that nervous I'm just dramatic, but I also might fall in love," She said
"Aww you might!" I said
"Also he might hear your voice, he might not recognize it but he might I don't know," I said
"HIII!!" She shouted
"Bitch you aren't there yet!" I shouted laughing
"Ohhh," She laughed
Y/N'S POV
"Alright I need you to sit down here," Mia said as she helped me sit on the ground
"Can he hear me?" I asked
"Kinda," I heard someone say
"Hiii," I said
Mia and someone else started laughing,
"Is he here- what?" I asked confused since I couldn't see anything
"No, he is here!" Mia said
"Alright, you guys can take your blindfolds off!" She shouted
I took a deep breath as I slowly pulled my blindfold off,
"Holy shit," I heard someone whisper beside me
I looked over to see Miguel, I fucking knew it!
"Oh my god I knew it!" I shouted and we all laughed
"Hiii," I smiled leaning in for a hug
"Hi, how are you?" He smiled as he hugged me back
"I'm great," I said pulling away
"This was gonna be my guess when you asked me to guess who it was," I said laughing
"I know, I tried to throw you guys off a little bit," She said
"Well, he isn't four foot three that's for sure!" I said laughing
"Four foot three, She told me you were six foot five!!" Miguel shouted laughing
"SIX FOOT FIVE OH HELL NAHH!!" I shouted
"She did us dirty," Miguel laughed
"Yeah I tried throwing you off by saying he was short- and he's like the tallest person in the world," she said scanning Miguel with the camera
"I know I was so nervous 'cause she was like, do you like short kings?" I said
"Not the short king," Miguel laughed shaking his head
"So I got you guys some sandwiches and waters, and um- OH," Mia said pointing at something behind Miguel
He pulled out a huge Ramo Buchon, It had red roses on the outside and white roses in the middle shaped like a heart and it was wrapped in white glitter paper.
"Oh yeah I got you some flowers," He smiled as he handed me them
"Oh my god thank you, these are so beautiful!" I smiled taking them
"I'm like tearing up, this is the sweetest thing a guy has done for me thank you so much!" I said hugging him
He hugged me back and I just wanted to stay like that forever, he felt so warm and he smelled so good and the way his hands wrapped around me so perfectly made me melt.
"Okay since you guys are both nervous it is a good thing I came up with some good first-date questions," Mia said as she walked behind me and Miguel
"I am so nervous deadass, my whole hand is shaking," Miguel said as he held up his hand
"Okay, my first question is did I do great?" She asked smiling at the camera
"I think you did good," I said looking at Miguel
"I think you did great," He smiled looking at me
"Good because I told them in my intro about how you guys think each other is cute and no one does anything about it," She said pulling out her phone
I and Miguel couldn't stop glancing at each other, he just looked so good, and his outfit looked good, He was wearing some black cargo pants, a black shirt, a red jacket, a black hat, and air force ones, and his hair was also pulled back in a ponytail, The site made me wanna drool.
"Okay the real first question is, What is your favorite movie, I'm trynna see if you guys have anything in common here," She said
"I would defiantly have to say y/f/m," I said (Your favorite movie)
"I would have to go with Friday and hangover," Miguel said
"What is that?" I asked
"You haven't seen hangover?" Mia asked
"Wait you haven't seen hangover?" Miguel asked shocked
"No guess we have to watch it," I said smirking at him
"Oh we are for sure having a movie night," he said smirking at me
"Wait you guys are already planning another date!?" Mia asked
"It feels like you guys are fine without me, I'll stay for one more question," She said
"Okay, so what are your signs?" She asked
"Uh, I am a y/z/s what are you?" I asked (What is your zodiac sign)
"I'm a Pisces," Miguel said as he opened his water bottle
"Aw I love Pisces," I said
"Perfect!" Mia said clapping her hands
"Alright I'm gonna leave you guys to fend for yourselves for a bit and I'm gonna go talk to Mason and the viewers," She said as she got up and walked off with Mason
I looked back at Miguel who was already looking at me, I quickly looked down trying to hide my blush, He laughed as he placed his hand over mine holding it, I looked up at him and he smiled back at me, "You look so beautiful Y/n," He said looking me up and down,
I couldn't help but look him up and down as well, He just looked so good, "Thank you, Miguel, You look really nice too," I said laughing
"I was serious about that Movie date," He said
"Really?" I asked
"One hundred percent," He said as he looked me in the eyes
"You have no idea how long I have wanted to go on a date with you," He said
"I think I know, I've kinda been crushing on you for a while," I said smiling
"You should have said something!" He said laughing
"Oh yeah like you should have said something to me about how you felt the same!?" I said laughing
"I was nervous!" He said
"Why I don't bite?" I said smirking
"You are just so… Beautiful and breathtaking, and you are very intimidating like you carry yourself so well that I felt like if I asked you out you would have laughed in my face," He said lowering his head
Did he really feel that way? am I intimidating? He said I was breathtaking!
"Miguel, I wouldn't have laughed in your face, I would have told you how I felt and we could have been dating and we wouldn't have to be on this weird blind date thing," I said laughing
He finally looked up at me as he laughed
"Alright be honest what is your ideal first date, Cause I wanna properly take you out?" He asked
"Okay so I think- not a movie because you are like sitting in silence and you can't really talk to each other- but what would earn you coochie point is like maybe take me out somewhere to eat and be like, Be ready at this time and dress like this I'm picking you up," I said
He threw his head back as he laughed
"Alright it seems like it's going very well, So I'm gonna make things a little weird," Mia said as she sat back down between me and Miguel
"Oh great," I said side eyeing Miguel who was doing the same
"Okay I want you guys to compliment each other," She said
"Okay, I really like your hair and your eyes and your smile," I said
"I love your smile and your eyes and your lips," He said smirking at me
"That's so romantic Miguel oh my god," Mia said sighing
"Okay so I have this friend who I showed a picture of you both to and she said that you both looked cute together and I was like I know I've been trying to tell them, like Miguel is always like yo whats good with your friend Y/n, and then I'm like Y/n Miguel thinks you're cute and then she's like yeah he's cute, and no one will ever make a move," She said mimicking our voices
"All right guys comment down below if you think this went well, get this to ten thousand likes and I will force them to go on a date alone next time, Byeee!" She said as Mason turned off the Camera
"Soooo, yall going on a date?" She asked wiggling her brows
"I would love to take you out on a date Amor," Miguel said
I looked away blushing,
"Ohhh he's calling you Amor now?" Mia said
"I would like that," I said blushing

🐻 for Leanna & Buggy? :D
AHH Thank you! This is such a cute prompt! Thank you so much for the ask! I got a bit carried away and it turned out a bit longer than expected XD but I loved writing this so much! Thank you again!
The Best Prize~: Buggy and Linnea
warning: possibly some innuendos that's it :P
note no editing was done just literally sat down and started typing and didnt look back lol
The summer night was warm but the soft breath of the sea made it just right as the local village's carnival was just starting to pick up. The Buggy Pirates had landed earlier that day and were enjoying the festivities including their fearless leader Buggy himself more so now with a cotton candy haired woman on his arm. The Buggy pirates whispered among themselves, wondering who this woman was but they were all a bit to afraid to continue questioning their captain, after Mohiji got an earful from Buggy. "Captain Buggy sir, why are we going back to this island again? We were just here -does it have something to do with-" The pet tamer was immediately met with a look mix of anger and embarrassment from the head clown.
"Shut up you buffoon!" A floating hand charged Mohiji poking him square in the nose. "We came back to the island because my sources happened to have found out some important secrets for us."
"Sources sir? Is it that gir-"
"Silence!" And that was the end of it. As soon as the ship had reached the port of the small island, Buggy had given vague instructions for the crew to take it easy all the while keeping an eye on the ship and his treasure while he bounced off the boat, heading straight into town just as the carnival crew had been setting up for the carnival that night.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So that brings things back to the night of the carnival where Captain Buggy had his arm hooked with the woman with cotton candy hair. The woman held his arm gently and sparkling blue eyes looked up at him, making the man blush brightly. "Now Buggy, I'm not keeping you from your duties am I?" her voice was soft and gentle when she questioned him.
Buggy looked down into the sky blue eyes of the woman beside him, a nervous grin spread across his face as he turned his head away and scoffed. "Of course not! Those bumbling fools can take care of things. I promised I would take you to this carnival and I am keeping that promise, Linnea." He turned to her slightly, shyly looking at her.
Linnea smiled, leaning her head on his arm, causing a shiver to run up his spine. "You shouldn't call your crew bumbling fools." she rubbed his hand again. "But thank you for coming out here with me tonight. It's just like when we first met." she laughed a bit, another blush ran up Buggy's features, "Well except now I get to enjoy the festivities instead of be a part of them."
Buggy hummed a response, taking in a big breath letting out slow, "Yeah~" his voice gave a little squeak, face crimson just thinking of when they first met: his arms around her, there faces so close, the spot light upon them-no... no need to get more flustered then he already was. He shook his head, clearing his throat, he needed to be cool-cool as a cucumber.
He glanced back at Linnea whose eyes were now roaming the carnival games, head lifted from his shoulder (much to his disappointment) Though he saw her eyes light up when they landed on a carnival game with rather cute pastel stuffies. "Oh Buggy, we should play some games, I think I want to try to win something for Fay. She would just love one of those little teddy bears." She pointed a delicate finger to a ring toss game where many little teddy bears and bunnies were displayed behind the counter.
Fay was Linnea's daughter from a previous relationship to which Buggy wish he had the pleasure of meeting so he could beat the man to a bloody pulp. Linnea had left the man and now it was just her and Fay, at least for now. Buggy wanted to change that...soon.
Buggy got out of his thoughts and nodded, a large smile on his face. "Linnea you know just as much as I do those games could be rigged. How about I just ," he detached his hand and moved its fingers. "Just make one or two of those prizes disappear." Linnea turned to him with a knowing look, and booped him on his red nose.
"Now Buggy, I want to win it fair and square...well as fair as I can. Maybe these ones wont be rigged?" Linnea murmured the last part to herself. Linnea, ever hopeful, wandered over to the game with Buggy shaking his head but trotting behind her but not before appreciating the view of her backside as it swayed slightly as she walked. He blushed furiously before shaking his head nearly off just as he joined at her side. Linnea placed some berry into the large man's hand who ran the carnival game. Buggy didn't like sinister grin the man was giving his Linnea, so Buggy gave them man a scowl, perhaps letting out a bit of a growl . The carnival man straightened up immediately. Linnea was completely oblivious. She picked up one of the colorful rings then moved her hand parallel to the bottles, she squinted-eyeing a bottle before tossing the ring. It clinked off the soda bottles and fell to the floor. She frowned and she attempted again, but failed. Buggy saw her eyebrows furrow: again she tried but she failed. Linnea was about to go to her purse to get more berry but Buggy stopped her with a gloved hand. She looked up at him curious, Buggy just gave her a cocky grin.
"Let me, you know I am quite the shot. I never fail to miss a target." he winked at her playfully causing her to snort, with a little blush.
"Buggy-"
The clown just chuckled and gave the man some berry before getting his own three rings. Buggy puffed out his chest, closed one of his eyes, stuck his tongue out causing more giggles from Linnea. He let his hand float before him,(the man nearly fainting behind the counter) bobbing up and down a bit before he then released the ring. Linnea watched the ring fly through the air before it landed perfectly around one of the farthest glass bottles.
The carnival man's mouth twitched, recovering himself from the sight of Buggy's hand detaching itself from his body he called out, "Winner! You may choose your prize." Buggy grinned at Linnea, she gave him a slow clap but she was smiling.
"What prize did you want for Fay?" the clown asked, his voice softer than usual. Linnea blushed again and pointed to the brown bear which the carnival man retrieved and handed it to the cotton candy girl. Linnea thanked the man timidly before turning to Buggy with a shy smile,
"Thank you Buggy, that was very sweet of you. Fay will love this."
The clown grinned puffing out his chest again, "Of course I'm sweet, I'm the sweetest clown around." Buggy waved his finger at her, "I told you I had a good aim and I have two rings left. How about another prize?"
Linnea opened her mouth to decline but Buggy was already tossing the rings, he landed both of them perfectly.
"Winner!" The carnival man shouted albeit this time a tad more weakly. Before the man could even ask what prize he wanted, Buggy with his detached hand snatched up a pink rabbit and a small plastic ring. The man was going to argue but Buggy shot him a look just as he handed Linnea the bunny plush, before pocketing the ring before she could see it.
"A prize for you, doll face." Buggy declared, that cocky grin still turning up his lips. Linnea took the pink rabbit stared at with wide eyes before holding it close to her chest. Her cerulean eyes looked up to Buggy with the most affectionate look. She took Buggy's hand and before he could utter a word she dragged him away from the game to a quieter part of the carnival. Buggy's face was pink, and that cocky grin he had on now turned into a nervous smile. "Linnea where are we going?"
She didn't answer at first just gave him a small shy smile, causing that shiver of excitement to run rampant in him one again. Buggy followed along after her until Linnea brought him down to the pier. The soft glow from the carnival their only light castes an array of colors on the dark water below. The young woman let go of his hand before she reached her arms around his neck and placed a kiss right on his lips. Buggy eyes widened but eagerly kissed her back, his gloved hands traveling down her back to bring her closer to himself.
The two broke the kiss after a moment, Buggy looked down at her speaking first, his voice a little squeaky, "Ah what was that kiss for? All I did was get you a silly old rabbit. Not that I'm complaining at all but-"
"It was your prize." she whispered shyly looking up at him, arms still around his neck. "I thought you might deserve one too."
Buggy was burning up now, his face was the color of his nose. "For-for what?" he stammered.
Linnea just smiled and kissed his nose, "For being so sweet, winning those prizes for me and Fay." She kissed his nose again, another noise escaped the clowns lips, "For taking me out tonight and well...spending time with me. I've missed you Buggy." Buggy gulped down something, a spare hand moved the collar of his shirt away from his neck.
"Ah well, it's nothing really." he stuttered looking away pushing back loose pieces of his sea blue hair.
"It's not nothing. I mean it, I really appreciate you Buggy." Buggy met her eyes and he just about melted into a puddle on the pier. Linnea's pink and blue hair danced around her face as she looked up at him with those pleading eyes. She wanted him to understand how much he meant to her. She was never good at speaking or trying to get her words across but she really did mean it. "Thank you Buggy." Linnea moved to hug him and Buggy just about jumped out of his skin. He shut down his nerves for the umpteenth time before hugging her back, awkwardly.
"Well you're welcome." His tone returning to that soft shy one. He gave her a little kiss on the top of her head. He wanted to say something more but he couldn't, not yet. Linnea hugged him tightly once more before they broke the hug now the two of them flustered and shy. There was an awkward silence for a moment:
"Um perhaps...would you like to go on the Farris wheel now?" Linnea asked timidly, hugging the stuffed bunny to her chest.
"Ye-yeah I would love to." Buggy answered once more putting out his arm to her. Linnea took his arm again and they both walked back to the bright lights of the carnival. She once again let her head rest against his arm, letting out a soft relaxed sigh. Buggy smiled softly at her. With his free hand he felt the plastic toy ring in his pocket, the last of the prizes he had won for her. He wanted to ask her-ask her that important life changing question he should have done it on the pier but..he was to nervous..but he would ask her. He would.

Some concept writing! One thing I’ve been doing since before On Yonder Hill wrapped has been running through different possibilities for hypothetical sequels (I cut some sequel setup from the last couple chapters in order to keep the story focused). This is a first chapter for a sequel concept that I’m pretty sure I’m not going to go for, now that I’ve written it -- I’m less interested now in the setup than I was previously, I don’t think I’m actually that interested in the post-Yonder timeline (since the attraction of the Yonderverse for me is working in the post-Snap period), I don’t want to deal with a cast this large, I don’t really feel like doing another story with multiple versions of the same character (especially because they’re not as distinct from each other as in some other stories I’ve written; just on a technical level it’s harder to write), and in all honesty, and the overarching plot setup is actually the same post-Endgame problem that Morning has, so I’m not too interested in doing it twice. This isn’t what a final version of the chapter would like; it would probably grow another 3K in edits, because my chapters are usually 10K. I also don’t think my characterization and voices are on; that’s something that would have been fixed in edits. But it’s concept writing, it gets the scene out of my head, and it tells me I don’t want to write this story.
Disclaimer aside, I wanted to post it anyway because I wrote it and I think people would like to read it; just bear the disclaimer in mind.
7K below the break. Please note that I don’t warn, though I don’t think there’s anything in this concept that would get warned for anyway.
***
Clint’s scream echoed in her ears all the way down, drowning out the sound of the wind whistling around her.
The fall was long enough that Natasha had time to think, each second seeming to stretch out into eternity as she counted them off with names and faces: Laura. Wanda. Sam. Bucky. Yelena –
She hit the ground and everything went black.
*
It felt like a long time before Natasha could bring herself to open her eyes again, though in reality couldn’t have been more than a minute at most. She expected to see Vormir’s unearthly purple sky again and the cliff face looming up over her – Clint will be so relieved – but instead there was nothing but blackness.
She pushed herself upright, wincing; she couldn’t be dead, because she doubted she would hurt this much if she was dead. She felt like she had fallen off a building, something she had done a few times, but not like she had fallen off a cliff; she could tell she had developing bruises, but nothing felt like it was broken.
“Clint?” she said softly, and could tell immediately that she was in an enclosed space, not out in the open. As she blinked into the darkness, pinpricks of colored light began to appear, glowing softly around her as Natasha twisted to see them. She counted six in all: blue, green, purple, red, orange, yellow, raised up off the floor as if on pedestals.
Natasha got warily to her feet, pulling a chem light out of one of her belt pouches and cracking it to activate it. When she held it up to illuminate the space, she saw that she was in a smallish round room that seemed to be hewn out of rock, with no obvious door and a little decorative knotwork running along the upper edge of the walls next to the ceiling and considerably more of it on the floor. Natasha crouched down to get a better look at the pattern beneath her feet and felt her frown deepen. She wasn’t an expert by any means, but it looked Asgardian.
She straightened up again and went over to investigate to the nearest of the glowing lights, which as she had thought proved to be on stone pedestals, decorated with the same kind of knotwork as the floor. They were topped with what looked like balls made out of some kind of glass or clear crystal, just barely tinted amber, and inside –
Natasha might have been mistaken, since the only time she had seen it outside of the Tesseract had been in Thanos’s gauntlet, but she was fairly certain it was the Space Stone.
Trying to keep the sudden harshness of her breathing under control, she went to the next pedestal, whose globe contained the distinctive yellow Mind Stone, the only one she had had a good look at before. She paced around the room, inspecting the seven pedestals; six held Infinity Stones, including the orange Soul Stone she and Clint had gone to Vormir for, and the seventh held what was clearly a Stark-made gauntlet, all the way down to the hotrod red and gold paint, a little battered by wear. The hollows across the knuckles and back would have fit the six Infinity Stones perfectly.
“What the hell?” Natasha said out loud. She stared at the Infinity Stones for a few moments longer, then shrugged and moved past the pedestals to take a closer look at the wall, because there had to be an exit somewhere. The light wasn’t good; there had to be a seam in the wall, some kind of door –
The moment she put her hand on the cool stone of the wall, an alarm went off.
It was a held-out bell-like tone, not a klaxon, but in the confined space it was deafening. Natasha reflexively clamped her hands to her ears, which didn’t have any real effect at dampening the sound. She took her hands away from her head and charged her bites, hoping that the alarm going off meant that someone was going to come in to see what had triggered it. It wasn’t her preferred method of finding a way out, but at this point she would take it.
She had been expecting a door. Instead what she got was a flesh of green-gold and three figures appearing in the center of the room. The one in the lead looked human but wasn’t, a tall pale-skinned man in his shirtsleeves with his long black hair plaited back from his face, revealing stark, familiar features; Natasha couldn’t see the other two new arrivals behind him.
Loki’s eyes went wide. He said, “Natasha?”
She shot him point blank with her bites at full charge, then had to throw herself sideways as something came flying at the wall precisely where her head had been, dropping the chem light as she did so. She heard the crunch of whatever it was hitting stone and then clattering to the floor, but she was already rolling to her feet. The fallen chem light was mostly behind one of the pediments, giving off a ghostly green glow that didn’t do more than illuminate the shapes of the other two people in the room. Loki was down for the moment, at least, blue energy crackling across his body as he convulsed.
It was a man and a woman, the man big and broad-shouldered and the woman compact. Natasha recognized the man’s silhouette in the dim light and thought, Wait –
Then she fired her bites again. He caught the electrostatic blasts squarely in the chest but shook them off; Natasha dodged around the nearest pediment, reaching reflexively for her batons and finding empty space instead. She’d lost them on Vormir, fighting with Clint. Instead she lashed out, low, her foot connecting with his kneecap as he grabbed for her, and when that knocked him down grabbed the globe holding the purple Power Stone and hit him in the head with it. The glassy globe didn’t break, at least, but Natasha dropped it a moment later as the other woman hit her from the side, knocking them both down.
The globe went rolling away, the faint glow of the Infinity Stone briefly illuminating the decorated floor. Natasha twisted, slamming a punch into the other woman’s kidneys, but she dodged and Natasha’s fist only grazed her. She hooked her foot around Natasha’s leg as Natasha tried to get to her feet, grabbing her braid and slamming her head into stone floor; Natasha jabbed an elbow backwards into her gut and felt her flinch, but her grip on Natasha didn’t loosen. Instead she planted a knee firmly into the small of Natasha’s back and pressed her face down against the floor with a hand on the back of her head, saying, “Stay down – stay down, damn it!”
There was a sudden burst of light that made Natasha’s eyes water as part of the wall peeled aside, letting in a big newcomer whose face was shadowed by the light behind him. “What –” he began, and then, horrified, “Where are your clothes?”
“It’s the middle of the night!” Loki snapped. “And I really don’t think that’s the pertinent point here!”
Natasha turned her head as much as she could with the other woman’s grip holding her in place and saw him pushing himself up onto an elbow, looking a little shaky from her electrostatic blasts. He made a practiced gesture with one hand and light bloomed around them, illuminating the room and its occupants.
The newcomer was Thor, only it wasn’t Thor as Natasha had seen him in the compound a few hours ago, long-haired and grief-worn, but with his hair cropped short and a black patch over his right eye. He was shirtless, a few faint lines of old scarring visible on his chest and arms.
Loki looked at him and said, “Where are your clothes?”
“It’s the middle of the night,” Thor parroted back at him. “At least I’m wearing pants!”
“At least I’m wearing a shirt!” Loki looked over Natasha’s shoulder and said, “Steve?”
“I’m okay.” That was definitely Steve’s voice, though Natasha couldn’t see him from this angle. “Don’t ask me where my clothes are. Nat?”
“Steve?” she said, at the same time as the woman on top of her said, “I’m a little confused.”
“And naked,” Thor said faintly, his gaze fixed at the wall opposite them.
“I’m wearing underwear,” the other woman said. Her voice was an exact echo of Natasha’s own.
“What the hell is going on here?” Natasha demanded, trying to get up and getting her head shoved back down into the floor for her trouble.
“Perhaps we could continue this conversation somewhere outside of my secret vault,” Loki said pointedly. “Let her up.”
There was a moment of hesitation, then the pressure on Natasha’s head and back vanished as the other woman got off her. She transferred her grip to Natasha’s arms as she pulled her to her feet, keeping her pinned but letting Natasha turn to finally get a decent look at the other people in the room.
Steve was picking his shield up off the floor, sliding it onto his right arm. Like Thor, he was bare-chested and bare-footed, wearing only boxers and a confused expression. He was bearded, too, blonde hair a little shaggy the way it got when he stopped cutting it. He studied her thoughtfully, his confusion turning to wary, familiar calculation before he stepped over to help Loki to his feet.
Natasha frowned at him, trying to decide if his eyes were bluer than usual; Loki obviously had the Mind Stone here and she couldn’t think of any other reason Steve would be with him. Thor, maybe; it had never been any secret that Thor loved his brother deeply. But –
The woman holding her stripped her quantum bracelet off her wrist, said, “Steve,” and tossed it to him when he looked over.
There was a brief glimmer of gold on Steve’s left hand as he caught the bracelet out of the air, frowned at it, and showed it to Loki, who from his expression clearly recognized what it was, before he came over to Natasha and said, “Where and when were you trying to get?”
She didn’t respond, staring at him and trying to pick out the flaws in the illusion as her mind belatedly caught up with the fact that none of this made any sense; he couldn’t be Steve. Steve had gone to New York in 2012 with Tony, Bruce, and Scott to get the Time, Mind, and Space Stones. Thor was in Asgard in 2013 retrieving the Reality Stone. Loki was dead, killed by Thanos on the Asgardian refugee ship after a failed assassination attempt.
“You’re not Steve Rogers,” she said.
His eyebrows went up. “Believe me, I have days where I wish that,” he said, in the exact tones of weary bemusement Natasha had heard a thousand times before. “You were trying for New York?” he went on. “2012? Was I with you, and Loki?”
“Or my brother?” Loki suggested.
Steve glanced over his shoulder at him. Loki was standing with his arms crossed over his chest, his gaze calculating. Despite the fact that he was only wearing a cream-colored shirt with a little gold and green embroidery at the collar and cuffs, he managed to look both more dignified and saner than he had eleven years ago on the helicarrier. The shirt hit at mid-thigh, which Natasha was profoundly grateful for, revealing intricate gold and black tattoos all the way down his right leg and on his left ankle and calf.
“What is this?” Natasha said again, her voice tight.
“At the moment it’s still my secret vault,” Loki said pointedly. “As such, could we please move this conversation elsewhere? I need to reset the wards. And I assume your presence here means Sif and the Valkyrie are checking over the rest of the hall,” he added to Thor.
“No, brother, we’re utterly incompetent without you and they never even woke up when the alert spells tripped,” Thor said dryly. “Is that what you think of us?”
“Of course not. I know the Valkyrie’s competent. I’ve had my doubts about you and Sif for the past thousand years, though.”
Thor’s eyebrows went up, the right pulling at the familiar scar that cut across his face. “Bold of you to say.”
Loki just shook his head, looking frustrated. “Get her out of here, if you would be so kind,” he said to Steve and the woman holding Natasha. “The great hall should do, since the others should hear this. And I want coffee and breakfast.”
“And clothes,” Thor said.
“Brother, please.”
“You know you still can’t give us orders, right?” the woman said.
“That was why I asked nicely,” Loki said. He made a little shooing gesture at them. “This is going to be somewhat complicated, if you don’t mind.”
“Come on,” said the woman, shoving Natasha to make her move.
Natasha set her feet and demanded, “Where are we? What’s going on?”
“We’ll figure that second part out soon enough,” Loki said. “As for where we are – we’re in Iðavoll, home of the kings of New Asgard. And the current headquarters of the Avengers.”
*
Natasha had been to New Asgard before, though not recently and not often. She tried to check on Thor at least once a year, though it was usually a heartbreaking and unproductive experience since Thor wasn’t much interested in seeing anyone and the other Asgardians didn’t know her. New Asgard had previously been a minor tourist center north of Tønsberg, along the Oslofjord. After the tourist industry had collapsed in the wake of the Snap, the Norwegian government had offered subsidies to the remaining residents of the town to relocate – like many small villages it had been hit particularly hard by the Snap – then moved the Asgardians in. There had been some renovation of the old houses and public buildings, not to mention the village’s four hotels, but as far as Natasha knew they hadn’t actually built anything new. She was almost positive that there wasn’t anything like this there, unless Thor and the Valkyrie had been holding out on her.
Thor, Steve, and the strange woman led her out of the vault and up through a short passageway that led to a narrow set of stairs. With the rush of adrenaline from the two fights on Vormir and in the vault fading, her mind was beginning to catch up with her situation in more than fragments of thought and sensation.
Back when they had first been exploring the possibility of using the quantum realm to retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past, Scott, Bruce, Rhodey, and Rocket had gone down a tipsy rabbit hole of “unlikely ways this could backfire and kill us all.” The most likely of those had been the possibility that changing the past, no matter how minutely, would have cascading effects on the future. “I mean, forget killing the wrong person,” Rocket had said, getting into the swing of it and correspondingly splashing beer into a bored-looking Nebula’s face. “We’re talking about the movement of individual air molecules here. You guys ever read Fordox’s Theorem? Of course you haven’t. Space-time is a chaotic system. That means any action, no matter how small, is going to have a reaction. We just don’t know what the hell it’s going to be.”
“Yeah, the butterfly effect,” Rhodey had said. “We’ve got that. A butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil, there’s a tornado in Texas two weeks later. It’s a nonlinear system; microscopic actions can have macroscopic effects.”
“I don’t know what a butterfly is,” Rocket said, “but yeah, that’s pretty much it. And that’s just, you know, now, today, about things that could happen anytime in the future. You go back to yesterday, or last week, last year, hell, ten years ago – then things start getting crazy. Maybe. That’s the theory. On the other hand, maybe nothing happens. Only one way to find out, hmm?”
Now Natasha stared at Thor’s bare back, which under other circumstances she might have appreciated a little more, and thought, oh shit. The butterfly effect theory had come up a few more times as they had worked on the quantum tunnel, as had some of the other unpleasant options. They had eventually decided that the reward was worth the risks, since their resident geniuses had all said that the possible downfalls were pretty unlikely.
Only here she was, right now.
“What year is it?” she asked suddenly.
“2023,” Steve said from behind her; he was bringing up the rear of their little procession, since the stairwell was too narrow for them to walk abreast. “It’s October 17th.”
“18th; it’s after midnight,” the other woman corrected.
That was three months from now, or three months from when they had left, anyway. Not being Bruce Banner or Tony Stark, Natasha had absolutely no idea what that meant for Rocket’s theory.
Loki had seemed to know what was going on. That probably wasn’t a good sign.
“What year do you think it should be?” Steve said, his voice friendly – sounding like Steve, and that just felt wrong, because Natasha knew Steve Rogers as well as she knew anyone on Earth. She knew him better than she knew Clint these days; she would have known him deaf and blind and with both hands cut off and all of that was telling her, unmistakably, that this was Steve Rogers and not someone, something, else.
Natasha didn’t answer, too unnerved and unwilling to commit to something she might regret later.
Someone in 2012 changed the past. Or Thor did something in Asgard, back in 2013 –
With Loki here, either one sounded reasonable, though Natasha would have put her money on someone in the 2012 team. Thor and Rocket knew the stakes too well.
Steve tried to talk to her a few more times as they left the stairwell and came out into a wide, airy hallway, but Natasha didn’t respond. She looked around instead, taking in the carved wooden panels on the walls and the big window at the other end of the corridor, though since it was pitch-dark outside she couldn’t tell what it looked out on. Lights burned in sconces at regular intervals along the top of the walls – some kind of softly glowing glass or crystal, neither electric lighting nor firelight. She had seen enough of New Asgard to recognize the aesthetic as Asgardian, though she couldn’t remember anything in New Asgard that was as elaborate as this, and the houses there were all on the electric grid anyway.
The great hall, when they reached it, lived up to its name. Natasha wasn’t easily impressed, but she still had to pause and look around, feeling her eyes widen. It was a single big room, easily large enough to hold several hundred people, with long tables spaced at even intervals between columns along the sides of the room, leaving a wide central aisle. There was a raised firepit partway down it, with glowing coals which sent up heat. A raised dais sported another table. The columns and walls were all elaborately carved, as were the vaulted rafters; the light from the firepit and the glowing crystalline lights struck sparks from the gilding on the carving. Weapons – swords, axes, spears, bows, and shields – were racked along the walls and a few wolf-like dogs and large cats were sprawled asleep on the floor by the firepit.
Two women were just coming in through one of the side doors, both with sword belts hastily belted on over nightshirts and leggings. Natasha knew Bruce’s friend the Valkyrie, the de facto ruler of New Asgard these days; it took her a moment to recognize the other woman from SHIELD’s old files on the Puente Antiguo incident, an Asgardian called Lady Sif.
“Where’s the king?” the Valkyrie demanded, narrow-eyed.
“Resetting the wards in the vault,” Thor told her.
The Valkyrie’s gaze flicked warily to Natasha, then widened a fraction. “I knew fucking around with Mimameid was going to get you all in trouble,” she said. “Go put some clothes on, we’ll watch her. I assume Loki magicked you two down there,” she added to Steve and the woman holding Natasha, then turned to Thor, “but what’s your excuse?”
“It’s the middle of the night!” Thor protested. “I was sleeping!”
“We were all sleeping,” Sif said, her mouth twitching a little.
“I was sleeping alone.”
“Well, that seems like a you problem,” the Valkyrie said briskly. “Not that most of the rest of us are getting laid, either.” She flicked a bemused glance over Natasha’s shoulder. “Present company excluded, obviously.”
“Ha ha,” said the woman holding Natasha. She stripped Natasha’s bites off her wrists and dropped them on the nearest table, then added Natasha’s wrist knives and her other holdout weapons, finding them without having to search for them. She released Natasha and Natasha turned swiftly to find herself looking into her own face.
They weren’t quite identical. The other Natasha had a small crescent-shaped scar on her right cheek and her hair was an inch or two longer than Natasha’s, the red with another few months’ growth. It was loose around her shoulders now, some of it caught in the neck of her tank top and the thin silver chain of her necklace.
Natasha said, “Shit.”
The other woman just gave her a wry look. “Don’t go anywhere,” she said.
Natasha sat down heavily on the nearest bench as she and Steve left, with Thor lingering to say something to Sif before he followed them out of the hall. She ran her hands over her face, suddenly exhausted; this wasn’t supposed to be the kind of problem that she was going to run into during the operation.
She looked up at the Valkyrie, who was frowning down at her, and said, “Did you find anyone else here?”
The Asgardian shook her head. “Should we be looking for someone else?”
“Clint Barton, maybe,” Natasha said after an instant of hesitation.
The Valkyrie’s frown deepened, but all she said was, “If he’s here, we didn’t spot him, and after he started to go on his little murder spree a few years ago we had to key the land wards specifically to him in case he decided to try and assassinate the king.”
“The king,” Natasha said.
Sif frowned at the Valkyrie, as if this was a point of some contention, but the Valkyrie ignored her and just said, “Loki.”
Natasha blinked, and then blinked again. “Who died and made Loki king?”
“Thor.”
Natasha looked in the direction Thor had just gone. “What?”
“Well, he got better, obviously,” the Valkyrie said. She perched on top of the table and picked up one of Natasha’s holdout knives from the pile, balancing it on the tip of one finger. “It did take five years, which is a little long even for one of us.”
Natasha frowned at her, slowly putting that together with the other bits and pieces she had heard, If she had been standing, the realization would have staggered her; as it was, she caught her breath, briefly light-headed before she brought herself to say, “He was snapped. It – it worked. The Time Heist worked here.”
“Stupid name,” the Valkyrie said scornfully.
Sif, who was still standing, peered down at Natasha and said, “It wasn’t Thor in your – your branch? Both of them survived the attack on the ship?”
Natasha shook her head, still trying to put all the rest of the pieces together, but she knew she didn’t have enough for a complete picture. “No – Loki died. That’s what Thor told us after Wakanda – after the Snap.” She tipped her head back to look around the great hall. “I’ve never seen this before. There’s nothing like it in New Asgard.”
Sif and the Valkyrie exchanged a look. After a moment, the Valkyrie said, “Iðavoll – back when this room was all there was of it – was the first thing we built here after Loki finished negotiating with the United Nations for the land.”
“The…land?” Natasha said. “What land?”
“This land,” the Valkyrie said. “New Asgard. Part of the reason the negotiations took so long was because Loki wanted so much of it for our people.”
Natasha shook her head. “There’s not that much,” she said. “Just the village and some of the surrounding area –”
“What village?” Sif said. She looked at the Valkyrie and asked, “There was nothing here before, was there?”
The Valkyrie shook her head. “Not for about seven hundred years. There are two or three abandoned thorps and old farmsteads within our borders, but those are old. By human standards, anyway.”
“It was a tourist town,” Natasha said. “It got hit hard by the Snap; the Norwegian government moved the survivors out and moved the Asgardians in.” She racked her brain for what the town’s original name had been, came up blank except that it had been something vaguely related, and said, “I haven’t been lately, but it’s mostly a fishing village now, I think, along the Oslofjord.”
The Valkyrie’s mouth twisted a little. “We’re not on the Oslofjord. We’re further down the Skagerrak, closer to the North Sea.”
Natasha stared at her. “New Asgard’s not even in the same place here?”
The other woman lifted a shoulder in a shrug. “Well,” she said, “not that he ever listened to me about it, but Loki isn’t Thor.”
“He really isn’t,” Sif muttered, and the Valkyrie flicked a glance at her.
There was something there that Natasha was missing from lack of context, though she didn’t know enough about the Asgardians to even guess what it was. She hadn’t met Sif before; she had assumed the woman had been killed along with the other ninety-five percent of the Asgardian people during the triple disasters of Ragnarok, Thanos’s attack on the refugee ship, and the Snap, but didn’t know for certain.
Natasha looked down at her hands, rubbing a thumb over the top-stitching on the back of her left glove. “You don’t seem very surprised by this,” she said to the Valkyrie.
She shrugged again. “We knew something had gone wrong when they couldn’t take the Stones back. We’ve just been waiting to see what it was going to be.”
“It was always going to be something.” Bootsteps sounded on the hardwood floor as Loki emerged from the door behind the dais. Natasha was relieved to see that he had taken the time to get dressed, wearing a thigh-length vest open over his shirt and pants. He nodded to them and crossed the room to another side door, which he opened to say, “Coffee and sweet rolls, if you please,” to whoever was on the other side.
He scooped up the cat that came trotting out from behind the door and carried it over to the table, where he let it settle onto his lap as he sat down. Natasha stared at him for a few moments, trying to decide if she was losing her mind or if this was really happening, then glanced away when he looked at her. She was relieved when Thor arrived and sat down on the bench next to his brother, despite how disconcerting it was to see them friendly with each other.
“You’re dead in her branch,” the Valkyrie told Loki bluntly.
His eyebrows went up. “The culling?” he asked Natasha.
“On the ship – the Statesman,” she added, after a moment spent trying to remember its name, and was interested to see Thor and Loki both look sharply at each other. Loki’s jaw worked once, but all he did was nod in response.
“Branch?” Natasha said.
“I’d rather only give this explanation once tonight,” Loki said, “so if you’ll wait a few minutes –”
Natasha shrugged, since she didn’t see that she had much choice, then looked down as she felt a warm nose nudge her palm. One of the room’s dogs had come over to inspect the new arrivals. Up close, it looked more wolf-like than dog-like, something about it indefinably alien. Natasha let it sniff her hand, then touched its soft ears gently.
“That’s Geri,” Loki said, watching her. “This is Freki,” he added, stroking the cat on his lap.
“Didn’t take you for an animal person,” Natasha said.
He shrugged a little, as if her opinion didn’t matter to him. “Because you knew me so well before.”
There wasn’t much Natasha could say to that, so she didn’t bother, just scratched at the base of the dog’s ears as the hound sighed in blissful delight, resting its chin on her knee. One of the other dogs wandered up to do the same to Thor.
As disconcerting as it was, she was relieved when Steve and the other Natasha arrived, both dressed now. She caught her breath as Bucky and Wanda followed them in, both sleepy-eyed and clearly having just woken up – Bucky wary, Wanda still looking like she was trying to wake up. From her red-rimmed eyes Natasha thought she must have cried herself to sleep. She blinked once when she saw Natasha, then looked around the great hall as if hoping someone else was there. Natasha bit her lip, guessing who she was looking for.
She breathed in deeply, trying to get herself under control, then asked, “Sam?”
“He’s visiting his sister in Louisiana,” Steve said. “Rhodey’s in the States right now too, Scott, Clint, and Tony are with their families, and Bruce is on his honeymoon.”
“His honeymoon?”
“At least he actually took a honeymoon,” Bucky said pointedly to Steve.
“What, you wanted to deal with all of this on your own?”
“I would be dealing with all of this on my own,” Loki said meaningfully.
Thor glared at him. “Since when?”
Loki rolled his eyes.
Natasha cautiously set their bickering aside and stared at Steve, trying to put two and two together and get four instead of five. “You’re married?”
He blinked, looking a little bemused by her shock, then looked down at the gold band on his left hand like he had to be reminded he was wearing it. Bucky snorted, amused, and Steve glared at him before he said, “Yes.”
“To who?”
Her first thought was Bucky or Sam, since she knew that Steve slept with men as well as women when he slept with anyone at all, but the confused look Steve gave her suggested that that wasn’t the answer. Then she thought, Loki, a little panicked.
“Me,” said the other Natasha, her voice very dry, and when Natasha looked at her she hooked a finger under the collar of her shirt and tugged the thin silver chain of her necklace out, revealing the gold ring hanging from it.
“What?” Natasha said, staring, then felt her cheeks heat. She looked hastily down at the dog, who licked her fingers.
“Interesting,” Loki observed. “Minor as well as major divergences in the branches.”
“Which of those are we considering minor?” Bucky said, amused. “Steve getting laid or you getting killed?”
Natasha looked up in time to see Steve go bright red. He looked at her, somehow blushed even harder, then looked at the other Natasha, who was tucking her wedding ring back inside her shirt. She raised an eyebrow at him and Natasha turned her attention away, biting her lip. Steve, she thought – her Steve, not this Steve.
“What does that mean?” Wanda said. “Divergences in the branches?” She sat down on top of the table next to the Valkyrie and held her hand out to a white cat that hopped up between them.
Loki waited until a couple of Asgardians had brought in trays with coffeepots, cups, and two plates of pastries before he said anything. The other dogs in the room wandered over, looking hopeful, and Bucky broke a pastry into pieces to feed them.
That done, Loki stretched his long legs out and crossed them at the ankle, letting the cat settle itself more comfortably in his lap. “Mimameid is what we call the Cosmos Tree, which passes over all the realms, with a world tree as every branch. Humans think of it as the quantum realm, though they may not be quite the same thing. Janet van Dyne and I discussed it, but we never came to a satisfactory conclusion.”
Natasha tried to imagine Loki having a civil discussion with anyone about anything, but especially quantum physics with Janet van Dyne – whom she had never met – and briefly blacked out.
Loki quirked an eyebrow at her, as if he had sensed the thought, and went on, “The best that we both agreed on was that humans and Asgardians perceive such things differently, so whether Mimameid and the quantum realm are the same thing may be a moot question. The branches of the Cosmos Tree – some of the branches of the Cosmos Tree – are different timelines, different world trees, where events transpired differently.”
Wanda nodded slowly. “The multiverse – the many worlds theory. Vis and I used to talk about it.”
“Yes, more or less. Asgardians conceptualize it differently, but it’s essentially the same thing. We think that the Infinity Stones serve to stabilize the World Trees – the planes of existence, as well as the different timelines – and the Cosmos Tree. There’s a theory that all the Infinity Stones in all the branches are actually the same six Stones, that they exist simultaneously in all the branches at once. When the Titan destroyed our Stones five years ago, it –” He hesitated for an instant, his brows pursed in thought, “Think of it as a kind of rot, a weakness in the wood, that spread from Yggdrasil – from our World Tree – to Mimameid. If the same thing happened in other branches as well, then the rot would be increased.”
Loki paused to take a sip of his coffee, then cupped the glass in its silver holder between his palms and frowned at nothing. “When we went back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones, it may have had the effect of further increasing the rot in Mimameid. We should have been able to return them immediately, but the quantum tunnel never opened. Which is why they’re still in my vault three months later. We think – I think – that the timelines where we removed the Stones would have continued onwards, real time, when the Stones weren’t returned. Not to mention whatever would have happened in the 2014 timeline after Thanos –”
“What happened?” Natasha demanded.
Loki blinked and looked over at her. “The Titan was able to switch his Nebula with ours, replicate the quantum bracelets, and travel to our time in an attempt to gain all the Infinity Stones. Then he blew up the compound and landed his entire army. Did that not –”
“I was in 2014,” Natasha said. “I was on that operation.”
“You were with the team that went to Knowhere for the Reality Stone?” the other Natasha said. “Or you went to Morag with Nebula instead of Rhodey?”
“No,” Natasha said. “We didn’t send anyone to Knowhere. Thor and Rocket went to Asgard in 2013 to get the Reality Stone. Clint and I went to Vormir.”
“Oh, shit,” Steve whispered, as the other Natasha and Loki both went white.
The other Natasha got up abruptly and walked away, walking in circles as Steve put his head into his hands. Loki put his coffee cup down and pinched the bridge of his nose between his fingers, whispering something in Nordic-sounding Asgardian syllables.
“What does that mean?” Wanda asked.
“Vormir was the hiding place of the Soul Stone,” Loki said, looking up at her. “It had a – a keeper, I suppose; that’s how Clint and Bruce described it. You couldn’t retrieve the Soul Stone without sacrificing something of equal value – a soul for a soul.” He looked at Natasha, swallowing, and said, “It was – it was you then? Not Clint? I thought you’d been in the quantum realm when you came here.”
Natasha shook her head. “No,” she said. “I was – falling.”
“That’s what happened to the big guy, isn’t it?” the Valkyrie said to Loki, who nodded; her jaw worked in response.
“I don’t understand,” Natasha said. “What happened here?”
Steve looked up, a hand pressed to his mouth – his left hand, the one with the ring on it. After a moment he took it away and said, “The Hulk went. Bruce said that – that they got separated up there, him and the Hulk, and the Hulk made the decision to jump. It was Bruce and Clint who went to Vormir, um, Rhodey and Nebula went to Morag, Rocket and Scott and Tony all went to Knowhere to steal the Reality Stone. Nat and Loki and I went to New York in 2012.”
“And broke the timeline,” Loki said bitterly.
“I think Thanos did a little worse than you did,” Thor told him. He looked at Natasha and said, “Who else – what –”
“Um.” She had to take a moment to think about it, even though she already knew the answer. “Clint and I went to Vormir, Nebula and Rhodey went to Morag – both in 2014 – you – I mean, my Thor – and Rocket went to Asgard in 2013, and Steve, Tony, Bruce, and Scott went to New York in 2012 during the invasion.”
Loki looked startled. “Why would you go during the invasion? Didn’t you have enough of the Chitauri the first time?”
“Because the Space Stone, the Mind Stone, and Time Stone were all in New York then,” Natasha said, a little relieved by the practical nature of the question. “Why, when did you go?”
“Before the invasion,” Loki said pointedly. “To retrieve the scepter and the Tesseract while they were both in the same place.”
“Technically in New Jersey, not New York,” Steve said, pedantic. “The Sanctum’s in the city, though; we went there first.” He got up and went over to the other Natasha, putting his arms around her as she turned and hid her face in his shoulder.
Natasha stared at them for a long moment, then turned away as something lurched in her throat. Do I want that? she wondered, a little shaken. Do I want him? And then, in almost the same instant, Does he want me?
She had wondered, sometimes, from the way he occasionally looked at her, but that was all it had ever been. As far as she knew he was still hung up on Peggy Carter.
She had looked too, sometimes, but women like her didn’t get to have men like Steve Rogers.
She forced herself to look back at Loki, who still seemed fairly shaken. “What does that mean?” she asked him. “What’s going on?”
“Ah –” He shook his head as if to clear it. “The Pyms and Bruce and the sorcerers and I all discussed this after they couldn’t get the quantum tunnel open again. There’s a theory that similar events will always happen all across Mimameid, which means that all the Stones in all the World Trees were destroyed, but because of the Time Heist it would create a paradigm – cascading paradigms, rather – that would cause the branches of the Cosmos Tree to become entangled with each other. There are created branches now, not natural ones, where not all of the Stones exist at once. Until now it’s only been theory, because until now all six Stones have always existed simultaneously. But now…” He leaned back, resting an elbow on the table as he rubbed his hand over his jaw. “Janet ran some tests on the Stones. The Soul Stone…distorts, I suppose is the best word – the quantum realm, like wind through leaves or ripples in a pond. There’s no way to test what the transition on Vormir truly entails, but we traveled there in our present day and there are soft spots there between Yggdrasil and Mimameid – between our realm and the quantum realm, as mortals think of it. It’s possible that you – you fell through one of those soft spots.”
“So what happened there?” Natasha said. “How did I end up here?”
“Well, you ended up in my vault full of Infinity Stones,” Loki said dryly. “I wouldn’t go so far as to assume it’s unrelated. As for how to get you back, I – I have no idea.”
“But Clint won’t get the Stone,” Natasha said. “And if he doesn’t get the Stone, then it’s all for nothing.” Clint would have to go back to the compound and tell them that Natasha had died – or disappeared – or whatever had happened there – for nothing. He would have to go back and tell Steve that Natasha had died for nothing. If they had gotten the Stone it would be one thing, but if he went back with nothing – “You have to send me back.”
“I’m a god, not a miracle-worker; I’ve no idea how,” Loki said. “I –”
He stopped as someone’s cell phone buzzed. It was apparently his, since he made a distracted gesture with one hand and a smartphone appeared with a flicker of green-gold. He glanced at the screen, then frowned and put the phone to his ear. “We’re having something of a situation, so – what?”
Everyone looked at him, including Steve and the other Natasha.
Loki swore in Asgardian. “I’m sorry, I get someone in my secret vault and you – yes, obviously, bring him here, and the tunnel. Do you need me to send someone to get you?” He listened to whoever was on the other end of the call, then said, “She’ll be there in the morning – our morning, at least, it’s the middle of the night here and I’m not in the mood to do the math.” He set the phone down on the table and said, viciously, “Garmr’s teeth. We need Bruce back here now; I don’t care if he’s on his honeymoon. Assuming we still have a universe in a few weeks, Betty can yell at me about it then.”
“The hell was that?” Steve demanded.
Loki turned to look at him, his jaw working. “That was Scott. The quantum tunnel activated – nobody was working on it, but they were in the room. You came out.”
“Me?” Steve said, startled.
“Or a Steve Rogers, at least,” Loki said tightly. “With six Infinity Stones. Are we having fun yet?”

Summary: Felix is being left in charge for the camp while Pan is absent, so games are off along with every other game. What is there else to do than drink? The second in command uses this opportunity to finally get closer to the reader after being so distant for a long time.
word count: 9968
The Island was harsh and cruel to everyone in an unfair but equal way. Even though the lost boys lived free on Neverland, they still were ruled by the mischievous leader named Peter Pan. Each of them had their own suffering they would not mention to anyone, rather feel the pain alone and the loneliness followed them with every step. But if someone caught Y/N's eye the most, it was the quiet second in command, Felix. He always stayed close to his leader and would always follow his command. His cold facade never told her a single thought, making him special in his own way. He would leave the girl alone and only joined her on missions, but even then, the second in command would remain quiet. Pan on the other hand, tormented Y/N with thousands of useless tasks, while the lost boys worked on their own duties that seemed to make way more fun. No matter how hard she tried, Y/N would never fit in the group of lost boys, their name alone excluded her. None of them treated her fair, always left her out and acted like she was their servant. At first, the boys all seemed curious, and also a little intrigued about her appearance. They wondered why the shadow brought a girl to Neverland and if she would stay forever or just for a while. Their vicious behavior scared her off the first days, keeping her distance in a small tent. There was nothing special about Y/N, and she wondered why Pan brought her here from the beginning. Soon they boys learned that as well, treating her harshly like everybody else. They mocked her for being too weak, being too emotional,- they mocked her for not being a boy. After a while Y/N stopped asking questions and simply agreed to her new life. There were many good things to mention, nothing here was all bad. No one cared about her exploring the island during the day, at least if she did not go too far. If she wanted to cook for herself, there was no one in the way, and if she wanted to read in her tent, they would not enter- also because she was definitely sure Pan forbat it. The lost boy's feared and loved their leader at the same time, the way he let them live the free life they always wanted and not even seeing how dangerous it could be had convinced them. Y/N had distanced herself from them and their cruelty, rarely appeared to any big occasion and rather traveled along the river that ran it's way through the meadow and pastures. It was a surprise when one boy asked her one day to join a game, leaving her startled and unable to answer since no one ever really attempted to talk to the girl. It woke a piece of hope inside her, some of the younger boys already liked Y/N, yet, there was always something suspicious around the older ones.
"C'mon!" The thin boy yelled excitedly and waved his hands through the air, gesturing to follow him.
"This will be fun!"
Y/N avoided the demanding boy and tilted her head while her eyes wandered through the group before they stopped at the second in command, his eyes already burning on her skin when she detected him on his log, not far. His gaze made her nervous, uncomfortable and she questioned the decision to join the game. Something inside her shook the thought off, that Felix would approach her one day for some other reason than Pan made him, or that he would ask her to join a game.
"No…" Y/N answered nervously and looked back to the lost boy, trying to ignore Felix in the back. She did not trust that boy the slightest.
"I have to clean the kitchen." She lied and dropped her gaze to the ground. The boy left as quickly as he came, not even trying to convince her further as if the interest was faked like everything else on this Island. After a while she sat alone in silence, watching the smaller boys play with sticks and some older ones preparing some meat and stickbread for the bonfire. The feeling of being watched did not let go. Y/N tried her best not to look suspicious and quickly let her eyes wander further when she found the guilty boy, Felix.
Why is he still staring at me?
She never found out. The boy stayed exactly where he was and so did Y/N. He would constantly steal a glimpse and for a moment goosebumps spread all over her body, as butterflies rumbled in her stomach. A few days went on and she had catched the second in command staring at her over and over again. Whenever she looked at him, he quickly shifted his eyes somewhere in hope not to be catched. Sitting at the dining table she would catch him, when she did the laundry or cooked in the humble kitchen. The lost boy woke some curiosity inside the girl, the urgent need to know why he would always steal a glimpse, whenever she walked by. He never slipped a nasty comment, definitely strange compared to the other lost boys and their vivid temper. He never approached her or tried to keep up a conversation either. As soon as the sun went down, Pan appeared in front of Y/N's tent, calling her to come out and get some firewood. His second in command stood not far, leaning against the bark of a tree and chewing on a toothpick. He didn't need to wait for his leader's command, already knowing he had to join her.
"Be quick." Pan ordered sternly, pressing his brows together before strutting back to the other boys. Her eyes instantly shifted over to the lanky, blonde boy, a smirk plastered on his pale face. If Pan knew that this was not a good idea? Felix turned on his heels and led the way through the trees uphill where the bushes covered the edges down to the abyss, not looking back once.
"C'mon, girlie." He said.
'Don't call me that!' She snapped back and paced up. The lost boy's camp disappeared on the ground, the higher Y/N followed the path before Felix stopped in front of a dark forest, the leaves swallowing every light before it could touch the ground.
"Princess." Felix corrected cockily, watching her step between the trees. She started to blush and was unable to say something, so she decided to simply ignore the giant boy's nickname for her, no matter how flattering his words seemed. She tried to act tough, tougher than she actually was, in hope he would recognise it.
"How in the hell should we get wood in the dark?' Y/N mumbled as she stared into the pitch black.
"Are you scared?" Felix teased and gave her a smirk. His voice was deep and rough, unsettling but still going like honey through her ears. The girl scoffed at him and rolled her eyes, then led the way with firm steps, not even seeing the ground and suddenly tripping over into a mess of wood.
"Fuck!" She hissed and held her hands to check the unbruised skin. The lost boy started to laugh darkly to himself, before he stepped closer.
"This wood is full of chunks." Felix explained and bent down to pick up the wood. Y/N rose to her feet and grabbed some wood, not saying another word. Felix remained silent as well, heading with heavy back to the camp. After a while he stopped and turned, watched if she could catch up and continued when the girl was close enough. All the time she wanted to talk to him, using the moment all alone with him, but as she hurried to follow the second in command, no single idea for a conversation came to her mind. It was like someone wiped every thought away and replaced it with the heavy drumming of her heartbeat. As soon as she reached the clearing, Felix dropped the wood onto the ground and left them for the other boys to take care of it. Her chunks landed right next to his and she paced up to catch up with the gloomy second in command, when a tight grip on the girl's wrist stopped her.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Y/N tilted her head and faced Dave, a tall chubby boy with messy brown hair, his eyes dark and soft like marbles. The lost boy looked like a bear, warm and welcoming, nevertheless it were his words that often scared her off. He only had nasty comments for Y/N, threats and if Pan wouldn't protect her for being a weak girl, the lost boy would probably harm her physically as well.
"The potatoes won't cook themselves!" Dave barked and pushed her harshly away before his eyes wandered over to the kitchen tent. Y/N bit her tongue to stop slipping a nasty comment, marched over to the humble kitchen and let out a growl when she saw the mess inside.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" She whined as her eyes wandered over the dirty pots and Pan's, knives and forks along with every spoon. At least it was not stinking and disgusting, easy to wash, yet an avoidable effort if every boy would clean after themselves. But why should they? They had Y/N. Deciding to only clean the essential goods and shoving the other things aside, she opened a little basket with potatoes in it and placed them on the little counter. Like she expected, no one came to help her during the cooking, only one boy showed up to ask if she could hurry up. The same boy did not even thank her when she finally gave them the cooked potatoes half an hour later. The selfish behaviour of these boys was the thing Y/N hated most, more reason to focus on the second in command, the only boy who had never shown her this nasty attitude. While every other boy slowly gathered around the bonfire after they ate, Felix stayed where he was. He did not dance like the others and Y/N was not even sure if he could hear what the boys claimed to hear. Pan once said, his flute was special and the girl was supposed to hear her too. None of them had an explanation, still, it did not seem like the first time for Pan, seeing something like this.
The girl's eyes darted back to Felix, his eyes already burning on her skin and she instantly moved her head to make it look less obvious. The tempting idea of walking over to him burned inside her guts, but with all those boys around, she was like being frozen in place. The second in command never talked to her when it was not necessary, not even one muscle in his face twitched when he interacted with the others. Still, something inside Y/N pulled her towards him from the beginning, as if his attempt to block her out was even more tempting. When she distanced herself from the bonfire back to her tent, Felix stayed at his seat instead of following her like she had imagined he would do. A little disappointed she went to bed and kept twirling all her thoughts around the mysterious second in command. There were so many questions about him. No one ever understood Felix, maybe not even Pan, although they were closer to each other than no one else on this whole Island.
The following days Pan left Felix in charge, going on a mission by himself. The absence of Neverland's leader made itself noticeable first, when the lost boys stopped playing their big games and went directly to their duties, almost no words slipping from their usually loud mouths as they worked in silence. The day had started boring for everyone on it, Pan was already away for a few days, so Felix was fully in charge. Games were off, along with parties and especially dances in the evening. If Y/N could tell, the dances were the most annoying thing to the second in command, the thing he hated the most. Felix did not like the idea of taking care of anybody else but himself. So it came that even after weeks, Y/N had barely exchanged some words with him. He would simply avoid her and in case of sharing a task, just stare at her in curiosity. It was a lie to say he did not make her nervous, even when it was not in a scary way. The second in command was weird in any way and whenever he built himself up in front of her, she and broad, he made her look even shorter than she actually was. A feeling almost pleasant instead of scary. It was like something pulled her towards the cold lost boy, but the lack of courage would not let her talk to him. If he felt the same?
Felix was intimidating to look at, it was like something was wrong with his face but Y/N could never tell what. His high pitched cheeks were sharp and narrow and there was an awful scar running along his left cheek up to his brows like an 'x'. The most creepy things were his eyes though, whenever she looked into them, she was willingly drowning in a cold puddle that dragged her deeper in. They pierced her, as if he knew every secret inside the girl's head. Nevertheless, he was not ugly, rather pretty to look at. When his blonde hair hung messy over his face and the way he smelled. Whenever she walked past him, she would smell pinewood and musk. Even though he was well known for his cruelty, the lost boy never raised his hand against Y/N, nor called her nasty things like the others did. She was not even sure on how to do it anyways. Felix always looked busy or like he did not want anyone to speak to him. When she thought of it, the girl could not remember one single boy really talking to the second in command except Pan, but then again,- they only talked about plans and other secrets. He was a mystery of his own, a riddle for Y/N to solve. She glanced over to him and saw that he was carving something into a piece of wood. The lanky lost boy had distanced himself from the other boys, having his seat on a log as closest to the forest as possible. Maybe she could strike a conversation about his passion for carving? He was doing that almost everyday without talking about it and when she thought about it, she had never seen the final results. After a while, courage overcame her, so she stood up and walked slowly into Felix's direction, already noticing in the corner of her eyes the disapproving and concerned looks of some boys. They started to talk quietly to each other and she instantly knew it was about her. Their eyes burned more on Y/N's skin with each step further towards Felix, making her feel nervous and jumpy. Rolling with her eyes at them, she still marched to the lanky blonde boy, stopping when she was close enough to him. The heads of the lost boys instantly shot away, as if they felt too scared to let Felix know about their curiosity when he lifted his heavy head from his broad shoulders.
Felix's eyes darted up, his mouth shut tight and his facial expression went blank like always. His look told Y/N that he was strong, but never how he felt. She tried to say something, but the words got stuck in her throat. Unable to speak, she stared with a deadpan face back at the second in command, trying to find an excuse for her behaviour. The idea with the wood seemed so dumb suddenly and she wished she could just melt into the ground or simply disappear as the lost boy stared back at her, locking their eyes and waiting for her to say something.
"Have you seen Pan?" Y/N choked out and sounded calmer than she expected to be. The blonde boy raised an eyebrow suspiciously and nodded behind him into the dark forest. Big trees hovered high up into the sky, all around the clearing, hiding every view. It was pitch black. Y/N swallowed at the sight of the dark woods and she shook her head slowly, feeling so scared of the unknown dangers. There was no reason for her to see Pan, the leader was not a pleasant person himself and the lie only made her more anxious.
"I think it wasn't important anyways." She mumbled unsure and turned around, feeling how her whole face heatened up at the fact that she talked to the mysterious second in command. Suddenly, the tall boy grabbed her by the wrist, causing her to turn and face him again.
"I'll bring you to him, if you feel scared to go alone." He said dry and rose to his feet, tall and intimidating. The girl was so small next to him, peeking up to him again as her limbs lightly started to tremble. Felix glanced down at her and again, she shook her head slowly. The girl did not know if he simply did not notice it, but when the lost boy shoved her into the pitch black, terror overcame her. What was he doing? Not daring to say a word, before the light around her vanished, she only felt the lost boy's hand on her back as he pushed her gently forwards. Her heart was pounding so hard, she feared he might feel it. Where the hell would he bring her? Where was Pan all the time?
"Don't." Y/N winced and turned on her heels, running past Felix back into the camp. The lost boy instantly jumped around and stormed after her, chasing her across the clearing towards some big trees. She tripped over one of their big roots, almost crashing down but still finding her balance. This was the moment Felix jumped at the girl, crashing down with her, his heavy weight pressing the air out of her lungs. The lost boy spun her around and pinned her arms down on the floor before she could take a sharp inhale. Y/N tried to free herself in panic, but she could not move at all, when the slender boy straddled her and held her down. The colours in Y/N's face faded away and her heart pumped wild inside her as if it were about to explode, unable to tell if she felt excited or scared. Maybe a healthy mix of both. She was sure he did not want to hurt her. Frankly, he never did.
"Why in the hell are you running from me." He asked angry, slightly confused and she thought even a bit hurt as he pressed his brows strictly together.
"Don’t hurt me." She muttered and the pale boy frowned. He loosened his grip and swiftly rose to his feet and pulled his hood back over his head, then strutted quickly away, not even giving her a last glance.
That was strange, she thought. Her heart was still beating furiously. What happened? The lost boy scared her and made her feel like burning at the same time. She took a deep breath and raised to her feet, wiping the dirt off her clothes. Felix was a strange guy and he only confused Y/N. Why did he just stand up and leave? She was not dumb and clearly could add two and two together. But it could not be that the second in command had some interest in her, why should he? The boy barely spoke to the girl, even when they had chores together. Y/N remembered one of the first days, when Pan sent them both to get some dreamshade and the tall blonde did not even let her near one of those plants, not even mentioning why. When he held the filled glasses, the boy walked a big distance between her back to camp, giving her the feeling of not being wanted. Later she had learned the dangers of it and Felix's strange behaviour now. It was an easy addition but she needed to be sure, not even knowing how to deal with this information.
If I am right.
The next day Felix clearly avoided her. Whenever he felt like she was too close, the lost boy would quickly find another place to go. She did not want to ask any of the boys about it, not wanting them to know, but it was obviously something off. They would not answer her anyways, only giving her questioning looks. After that weird situation in the evening before, the second in command completely vanished. There was no big effort to look for him and when the girl went to bed, she completely forgot about him. He had not given her any duties yet, so she took her chance and left the camp to take a shower and later gather some fruits and seeds, everything edible the Island would offer her without having to kill. She did not know how to hunt and was not sure if she could even catch an animal. Peter once told her that his best man would teach her to hunt, but Felix always seemed to be so busy that she simply never asked him to. At first she had avoided the blonde, lanky boy, not knowing his temper. He had scared her so much but now she could not stop thinking of how he had straddled her and how much she liked it. This was stupid. She barely knew Felix and still Y/N pictured herself with him in so many daydreams now. It was always easier to dream about someone and she was not crazy enough to consider anything about the rough boy. But where would he be? What is he doing right now? God, she needed to stop thinking about Felix. She was overthinking.
The time passed by and Y/N found herself at the clearing again, watching two boys fight in the distance, with a small crowd around to cheer their violence. Her eyes wandered over the whole area, searching for the second in command. He sat far away next to a few older lost boys that hollered around while drinking some rum. Since Felix would not let them do anything, the only possible solution for the boys was to drink and do stupid things that would not bother the tall scarred one. They were drinking more alcohol than any adult could ever handle. The girl's eyes shifted over the group, seeing how they stumbled and swayed around. Felix sat on a log with his own bottle of rum in his hands, he kept his distance from the other boys, observing them with a blank expression but it was visible that he was drunk, too. When he saw Y/N entering the camp, the second in command's head spun around, meeting her gaze and she could swear his face lightened up.
"Y/N!" Someone big yelled excitedly and jumped at her from the side, almost swaying her off her feet before she could even think of the name "Felix".
"Drink with us!" The chubby boy cheered with a dizzy voice. His dark, bushy eyebrows hung deep over his small eyes and he wrinkled his nose, making a nasty, slimy sound, reminding her of a mull. He was not pretty to look at, mean and vicious, sometimes insulting for no reason. He was that kind of a boy who would mock one and still complain when they did not want to be his friend.
"No, tha-"
"DRINK!" The chubby boy repeated himself more aggressively and grabbed Y/N's wrist to stop her from leaving before she could even try getting away. His fat fingers would definitely leave a mark later as she furiously tried to yank herself free.
"YOU ARE HURTING ME!" Y/N whined and buried her nails into his wrist, but the lost boy would not let go.
"It will be fun! Don't be such a lame ass." He gave back and tightened his grip. Felix, who had watched the whole scene from a distance, immediately jumped to his feet and stormed towards them, yanking the boy away and threw him violently into the mud. He gave him the most powerful kick that his anger would provoke, that the sound of the fat lost boy's scream caught everyone's attention.
"I will snap your fucking neck!" Felix threatened so calmly that the other boys would not even hear it as he pressed his jaw together, his hands forming into fists that his knuckles turned white. The chubby moonface groaned dizzy and turned onto his stomach, trying to lift himself drunkenly out of the sludge. With a closer look, Y/N understood why they all called him Piggy, instead of Mull. He turned his head confused around before he would drop back onto the ground again. The girl's eyes widened at the sight of this cruelty, even though she felt relieved and maybe a little entertained to see Piggy like this. He truly deserved it. On the other hand, she wondered why Felix came so quickly to help after he had tried his best to get out of her way. Y/N's cheeks burned up and she knew it would be the perfect moment to talk to him.
"Go." Felix said. He turned to her and shoved her gently away from the boys towards the tents. His big hand warmed her comfortably on her back, waking the butterflies in her stomach and causing her to shiver. The second in command rested one one of his arms on the girl's shoulder to keep his balance as he swayed between the tall bushes forwards between the trees.
"You should go to sleep." The lost boy said huskily, stopping in front of her tent, his grey eyes staring at the closed curtains. The excitement inside Y/N turned into disappointment when she saw where this actually went, so she stared irritated at the tent as Felix pulled his arm away and stepped away, slowly heading back.
"I am not tired!" Y/N gave back and knitted her brows together, confused why he just left her now. He could have stayed at the camp instead of joining her in the first place. Why come all this way up here? Felix's head spun around before turning back to stop right in front of the girl. He bent down to face her and made it possible to smell the alcohol in his breath as she stared into his gray eyes illuminated by the pale moonlight. The messy, ashen hair hung half over his face,- Y/N liked so many things about him and right now he was so perfect. He has never been that close before, except when he had tackled her.
"The boys aren't so well behaved," The second in command snickered. "Especially not in that state."
Y/N giggled when she thought of Felix acting like he was a good boy, after all those terrible things he did. There was a reason why he was second in command of this brutal gang and he proved it by the way he treated Piggy.
"And you're not?" She gave back quite bravely, raising an eyebrow cockily. Felix chuckled low to himself, slightly shaking his head before he gave her a smirk, showing his white palette of perfectly lined up teeth.
"If you want me to," Felix purred and wiggled with his brows. "I'll be whatever you want."
The girl felt goosebumps spread all over her body at his words and for a moment, she just stared speechless back at him, unable to say a word and wanting nothing more than kissing those pink lips. Felix was drunk, he could not think straight and definitely did not mean what he said. The lost boy's breath tickled hers and she noticed how close he was and how she just had to lean in, to steal a kiss. There was no way she would risk it, well aware that Pan loved games and she could not let the thought go, his best man would love them as well.
"Do you have any suggestions?" She asked as her nose touched his, her lips almost on his as she gently ran her hands over his chest. Felix ignored the question, moving instinctively and rough, grabbing Y/N's neck and pulling her in to close the distance between their mouths. His tongue was warm and tasted like liquor, still it did not bother her at all, when he vividly explored the inside of her mouth. Felix's hands vanished under her hair, grabbing her head and pressing the girl firmer against him while his intoxicated mind led his actions. Y/N gasped surprised into the kiss, not expecting him to do this even though it was what she wished for. Felix was way taller than her and for the moment he was forced to bend down at her height, holding her in his broad arms that pressed her tightly against his chest. When Felix’s pulled away, his eyes were still shut and he ran his thumb over Y/N's lips, licking his own and let out a gasp when he realised that he did not only imagined to do that. Then his eyes widened and she could see that he realised for the first time what just happened, what he just did.
"Sorry…" Felix mumbled unbelievingly and shook his head with widened eyes. He pushed her harshly away and rose to his feet, quickly checking full terror if someone had watched it.
"I was-" Felix spoke hoarse and slowly took a step back, then another one, a few more, until he turned on his heels and sprinted quickly away, not finishing what he tried to say.
Y/N stood there for a moment as if she were stuck in place, not able to process what just happened. With a swift movement she stormed through the curtains of her tent towards her bed to hide under the covers. She grabbed a pillow, held it against her face and screamed inside it. It was hard to tell if she felt excited or embarrassed. Felix kissed her, so why should she be worried about something? Maybe it was a test and she failed? Hell no, that would be some serious bullshit if that were the first explanation and she had seen his reaction. The way he held her and how he tasted heatened her up. Every cell inside her body craved for more.
No, what are you doing, she thought and shook her head, replaying that scenario in her head over and over again like a broken record. With a swift move she rolled onto her back and stared up at the curtain ceiling, hoping to find an answer to what her next step could be. If the lost boys would find out, they would never stop talking about it, maybe even start to think she was easy to have. Y/N gulped and squinted her eyes at the thought of them all trying to hit on her. Felix was different though. He was tall and intimidating, his cold stare would pierce through her with a burning desire and his smell intoxicated her mind. Whenever he was around, she could barely think straight, desperately wanting to figure out what laid beneath that cold facade. Never in a thousand years, she could have guessed that he liked her back. On the other hand, he was not able to make proper decisions drunkenly and maybe Y/N was encouraging herself too much. There was almost nothing she knew about the tall boy and falling for him that fast could only harm herself in the end.
Y/N closed her eyes and brought her fingers to her lips, touching them, while imaging to feel Felix's on them again and remember what they tasted like. The second in command barely spoke to her and now that? There was definitely more behind it. It had to. Her other hand slowly wandered over her stomach to pull up the dress, slipping a finger inside to play with herself. It was not the first time she thought of him while touching herself, but this time something was off. Deep inside her something stopped Y/N, no matter how aroused she already was. She needed to talk to Felix. Under no circumstances she would let him ignore her for days again. Yanking the blanket away, Y/N jumped out of the bed and eagerly left the tent, turning her head furiously around to find the tall boy. He did not sit next to the others anymore and when she walked downhill to his cabin, she could feel her heart pumping furiously inside her chest. The girl stopped in front of the wooden door to knock and when no one answered she knocked again.
"Felix!" She tried to be as loud as she could be while still not attracting someone else's attention. There was still no answer and she felt dumb for even thinking it was as easy as this to find him after the previous events. He could not be far, the lost boys still needed someone who had an eye on them before someone could get hurt. Their hollering was still audible and the bonfire in the distance let Y/N see a few of them behind the bushes. For a moment she thought of going back to the clearing again, hoping to find Felix there, but the thought of meeting Piggy alone now was no good.
"Y/N." The girl suddenly heard Felix’s raspy voice behind her and she turned dazzled around, the warmest smile sitting on her lips.
Felix swayed dizzily into her direction, closing the gap between them two while he tried to keep his balance. The lost boy's head was too high up, making it impossible to steal a kiss from him now.
"What are you doing here? I told you to sleep." He asked nervously and pulled her away from his cabin towards the trees, his head constantly turning to look if someone watched. When he placed his hand on the girl's back again, his touch sent electric waves through her spine and she wondered how his slender finger would feel on her bare skin.
"Did you drink more?" She asked, noticing how he swayed more and the second in command vividly shook his head in response, grinning like a small boy on a sunny day.
"You have."
"No."
"Yes."
"Uh-Uh."
"I can cleanly tell-"
"I am-," Felix grabbed Y/N gently by the back of her neck and pulled her in, his face coming closer again. "-Not. Drunk."
She started to laugh and leaned into his grip, bringing her own hand up to touch his scar. Felix's blue eyes melted when he felt her fingers, closing them and relaxing as her touch traced as light as a feather down his skin. He relaxed for a moment and enjoyed the touch on his scarred skin, before he suddenly woke out of trance.
"The boys better not see us." He cleared his throat and broke apart, letting go of her.
"No one saw us, Felix." His name echoed through the dark forest like honey and Y/N grabbed his hand tight- she was way smaller than his. The girl felt Felix's breath in her face, how his nose almost touched hers and before he could do anything she had already closed the gap between them two, pressing her lips against his. Felix moaned surprised into her mouth but instantly grabbed her cheeks and slid his tongue inside. She could still taste the liquor and wondered if she might have taken advantage of this situation. The tall boy's moans told her otherwise. He moved his hands slowly towards the girl's waist down to her ass, cupping it rough while her smell intoxicated his senses.
"We shouldn't." He whispered and she heard him move even though it was too dark to see. Nevertheless Felix pressed himself harder against her and she felt through his pants how hard he already was from only kissing.
"Why not." She breathed against his neck, leaving a trail of kisses.
"The boys," Felix said, his eyes rolling back with a soft moan when he felt her tongue on his throat. It was enough to convince the second in command, his fingers wandered over her delicate body, burying them inside her tender flesh. It's been a long time since someone touched Y/N and she could not resist the lost boy's demanding hands. He lifted her dress and wandered with his palm over her skin to the rim of the underwear, enjoying the small moans when his fingers wandered further to her inner thigh, drawing invisible circles on it.
"Felix…" His grip tightened when he heard the girl purr his sweet name in the most delicious way and he almost could not hold himself back to tear her clothes off right at this place. The lost boy dared to slip one of his fingers inside Y/N's panties and when she did not complain, he pushed his slender index inside of her, feeling how her soft walls tightened around him. If Felix had not realised it earlier, he knew at least by now how much she craved him when he felt how wet she already was. Y/N let out a gasp when he started to push his long finger in and out of her, causing the girl's legs to tremble and her knees to shiver in excitement. She closed her eyes, giving up trying to see something in the dark as she melted into Felix's arms, her face sliding down onto his shoulder. She found her balance by grabbing the lost boy's leg and then she realised that he was kneeling in front of her. Y/N was actually glad that the surroundings were pitch black, feeling her cheeks heating up in embarrassment from her uncontrollable sweet moans. Before she would absolutely lose her mind, the girl managed to push the lost boy slightly away from her while her hands moved down to his belt. Her fingertips ran over the leather and the lost boy instantly frowned at her touch, his whole body stiffened and he stopped moving for a second.
"W-wait." He stammered, the adrenaline pushing the dizziness of the alcohol away. "I-I… never…" he continued and stopped, his hands wrapped around Y/N's wrist, insecurities overwhelming him as he held her in a safe distance. Now she really wished to see his face, well aware that he must look like earlier when he kissed her, startled and somehow shy.
"Well," she replied after a small pause, her voice echoing clear through the night, "Neither have I."
There was an awkward silence between them two and if the lost boy would not hold her by her hips, she would probably believe he was gone by now. The second in command was embarrassed for no reason, what did he fear? Y/N had no clue how to do this and if she was honest, it was way more appealing that Felix was a virgin, too, even though she did not expect that. All the time she thought he was so confident and now he was so vulnerable to her. The lost boy still did not speak, so she bent into another kiss, hoping to catch his lips in the dark. Felix gasped when he felt her lips on his scar and pulled the girl back in. This was good, they did not need to talk- should not talk. It would only make this weird. Talking would come naturally. Felix grabbed Y/N's hands gently and brought them back to his belt for her to continue what she had started. She let her fingers trail over the leather to his buckle to open it, enjoying the moment when she opened the button of his pants and slowly pulled down his zipper. The lost boy moaned inside her mouth when she slid her hand into his pants, pumping his hardened cock as best as the tight cotton would allow her to. Felix noticed her struggle and broke apart from the kiss to lift himself up and take off his clothes. Y/N heard how each piece of clothing dropped onto the ground while she waited to be told to do the same.
"Should I keep my dress on or-"
"Keep it on." Felix ordered and chuckled to himself, then pulled her back against him, his cock pressing against her stomach. The lost boy let his hands slide under the girl's dress and pulled down her panties for more access, then kneeled naked in front of her while his fingers did their magic. They felt so long and strange, making Y/N wonder if she could even handle Felix's cock. He already felt so big in her hand when she touched him again, fully exposed and hardened. The lost boy lifted one of her legs over his broad shoulder and before Y/N could even figure out what he was doing, Felix pressed his tongue against her clit. She let out a surprised gasp and giggled at the ticklish sensation. The lost boy felt how tense her leg was and reached for the girl's hand, holding it and drawing invisible circles on her palm.
"Relax." He lifted his head and lightly squeezed her fingers, caressing it a little, then pushed his mouth against her slit, his hot breath warming her as his tongue slid over her clit. The comfort of his touch relaxed Y/N instantly as if the lost boy had enchanted her somehow. He pressed his rough tongue harder against her, burying his face between her legs as he ate her out. The girl could not control herself to keep her from moaning, but led the boy's pace with it, whenever something felt good. He buried his nails into the tender flesh of her thighs and with a swift move he pushed the girl down onto the ground, pushing his fingers faster into her. She could not tell which was tongue or fingers, the overflowing sensation spread inside her body up to her eyes as she felt how she got closer to her orgasm. When Felix’s jaw started to ache he broke apart, breathing heavily and leaving Y/N craving for more on the cold ground in the exact moment she would almost finish. Without saying a word the lost boy pulled himself up to her, placing some sloppy kisses on her mouth before placing his arms next to her, so that his weight would not be too much.
"I want you so much." He panted while he slowly let his thumb circle over her aroused clit.
"Felix-" She pressed her lips onto his and stroked his hardened dick and pulled his torso closer to lead him to her wet entrance. The lost boy let out an uncontrollable moan as he pressed his dick against her dripping slit that already craved him so hard, slowly gliding in to make the girl feel every piece of his mighty cock. He stayed in this position for a moment to adjust this feeling and Y/N felt herself tighten around him, excitement overwhelming her body along with the smell of the lost boy intoxicating her mind.
"Fuck!" Felix hissed as he started to move in a steady motion. His lips caught her once more, pulling her into a long, passionate kiss. Y/N took a sharp breath and pushed her hand against his abdomen, when the lost boy moved, feeling like getting torn apart by him. The lost boy stopped for a moment, shoving one arm under her neck to hold her while his lips softly traced over her chest. After a short moment, Felix moved again. Y/N buried her nails into his skin and rolled her eyes back as the lost boy thrusted into her core, slowly feeling herself relaxing in this position after a few strokes. The pain faded away and she melted into Felix's body as if he was meant to hold her. The sweetest words kept unsaid, too embarrassing, too emotional, still, there was something inside them both that felt more than just enjoying sex. It was Felix who took her virginity and the thought of being the one who took his let her heart skip faster. The second in command felt like a dream,- his sweaty, hot skin pressed tight against hers, his abs flexed and hardened during every move and he was just so fucking tall. Felix moved both of his hands down and cupped her naked butt, lifting Y/N up and pressing her against the bark of a tree. He buried his fingers into her tender flesh and left a trail of kisses on her neck as far as he would reach her. The lost boy held Y/N as if she weighed nothing, pressing her body tightly against his skin. She could not resist sinking her teeth into his neck, sucking on the delicate spot until she was sure he would not leave without a mark. As soon as Felix realised what she was doing, he pulled her head back by her hair. To his own surprise, she let out a light moan, feeling even more excited from his big hand in them.
"The boys can't know." Felix purred into Y/N's ear before he licked over her neck, sinking his teeth lightly into her shoulder to hold him back from letting out another moan.
"Harder!" The girl commanded for Felix's surprise, who had already thought he was already being too rough with her. The lost boy followed the order, pressing himself tighter against her before he paced up, pumping in and out. The sudden sensation flooded Y/N's body and she knew there was something building up inside her, an indescribable feeling of being high. Felix moans got higher, sometimes even stuck in his throat and she was sure he was close too and that he desperately wanted to climax. Before she could realise it, Felix swayed them back onto the ground, gripping her ankles and pressing them against his legs as she wrapped her arms around his neck to capture the lost boy in another kiss.
"I am almost-" Felix spoke in a hoarse tone. It was so dark and Y/M really wished she could see his face at this moment. Felix was so vulnerable right now and even though his moans were the most beautiful melody in her ears, just the thought of a short glimpse of his face made her feel hotter.
"Felix." She purred when he suddenly hit a spot that would not stop making her feel like being on ecstasy.
"I-." She gasped when the knot inside her stomach released and she felt her orgasm roaring through her body with thousands of tiny, electric waves. Jaw clenched and eyes pinched, Felix gave it to her in short, powerful bursts, filling her up with throbbing pumps. His abs flexed and his hands tightened around her ankles. He cursed. His body tensed, and she swore she felt his cock pulsing inside of her as he came in waves, thrusting in and out until he felt himself getting soft.
"Fuck…" Felix let her legs fall to the side as he bent to rest his head on her sweaty chest. "That was…"
She combed her fingers through his messy hair, almost out of words how incredibly good she felt. "That was something."
"Yeah." He kissed the spot between her breasts, "It was."
Felix pulled his dick out, not even seeing the mess he made but still wanting more. Neither of them wanted that night to end and for a while, Felix tried to find his clothes and Y/N thought of how she would clean herself up.
"C'mon." Felix whispered and she heard him step away.
"Wait!" Y/N called and quickly grabbed her underwear- well, the only choice right now-, cleaning herself with it, before running after the tall blonde and crashing into his back.
"Easy, love." He chuckled and grabbed her under one of his arms and strutted towards the dark in one direction, knowing this place perfectly, even drunkenly and without light.
"Where are we going?" The girl asked after what felt like an eternity for her, but in reality it was just a few minutes. The trees left some space for the moonlight now and gave her a chance to take a peak from the second in command's happy face. His cheeks were dyed a deep scarlet and his hair hung messy and full sweat down his face.
"Trust me." He said and paced a little up before he came to halt in front of a big tree, the ladder up to it vanished behind some leaves. Felix climbed up first and lifted the girl up into the tree house when reached the trap door. Felix moved towards a small night desk and lit up a candle. As soon as the light flooded the room, Y/N saw the small cot and a self-made desk under one of the closed windows.
"I built it myself." The lost boy grinned and proudly watched the awe in her face. She swirled around and looked at some little carvings that were placed on the wooden table. Some of them looked like her. When Y/N's eyes detected the little sculpture, she finally understood why she never saw the results and why he burned one earlier. The girl turned around to say something, but Felix stopped her immediately. Before she could say anything, Felix dropped down onto one knee and pulled her into a kiss. His tongue slid over her lips, begging for permission to enter. Without thinking about it, she opened her mouth and felt the lost boy's hand on her hips, pressing her against his body.
"I never thought you would like me too." Felix moaned and eagerly kissed his way down her neck, back to her face and lips, repeating the same thing on the other side and showing how hungry he still was for the girl. Felix clearly had not been touched in a while, just like Y/N, so it was quite natural that they immediately would have a moment like this sooner or later. But why Felix? What was about him that made Y/N constantly crave more, causing her to feel like an addict without his drugs, whenever his lips left hers? Her cheeks heated up and she smiled in the kiss, thinking of the previous events, how Felix's hands felt on her skin. It was special to be with him and the girl's instincts told her that it was more than just sex, that Felix wanted more, too.
"I want you again." Felix licked over his lips and looked at Y/N through half-opened eyes before he slowly melted back into another kiss, this time slow and passionate, synchronising with her while his hands moved down her hips and legs. He gently rubbed his hand against her inner thigh and wandered towards her crotch, to shove a finger inside her still wet hole. He smirked dirty when he felt his mess. Y/N wanted him so much, just like he craved her, maybe even a little more.
"I want to get naked all night long." Felix purred as he pushed his fingers inside and out of Y/N, her light moans echoing in his ears. Without further commands, the girl slipped the dress over her shoulder, letting it elegantly slide down her now exposed body. Felix's cheeks flushed up into the deepest red, his eyes admiring every sight of her that he desired for so long, and truth be told, he was in awe. When the cotton touched the floor, the lost boy grabbed for the hem of his own shirt and ripped it off, then quickly unbuttoned his pants before he crossed them with his underwear through the room. When Felix pinned her down and pulled Y/N into another kiss, he was already hard again, his hot skin burning against hers as her mind drifted off into a feeling of ecstasy. The way Felix's hands trailed down her body gave her chills once more, kept her warm and made her feel wanted.
"Pan would kill us for this." She mumbled into the kiss when the girl thought of how he protected her earlier, something he never did before and sure did not keep unnoticed to the other boys as well. It worried Y/N for a moment, thinking about how Pan always found out every secret, no matter how little it was. And this was definitely not a small secret, something that could be obvious to others. Or maybe Y/N was just paranoid.
"Relax." Felix said, frowning at her words as if the same thought had bothered him for a while now, too. "He isn't here. He won't find out."
The blonde boy rolled over onto his back, pulling the girl with him so she would straddle him. The light of the candle danced over his sharp features, letting it shine in an orange light that spread down to his muscles, constantly catching her eyes as if they were glued on him. Felix always looked beautiful in the orange light of the fire. Every night she would catch herself staring at him. He was perfect.
"You look so beautiful." Felix whispered more to himself than to her, then wiped some hair out of her face. "Unbelievable that someone like you chose someone weird like me."
Before Y/N could correct him, the second in command already captured her lips with his own, burying one hand in her hair while he kneaded one of her breasts with the other one. His words only flattered the girl and she felt the burning desire to finally be one with him again and melt into his body. Felix gasped at her touch and moaned into her mouth when she wrapped her hand around his dick, slowly pumping up and down while gently rubbing at the delicate tip. His member felt long and thick in her hands, but did not scare her off like earlier. Placing the tip at her wet entrance, she slowly slid down onto him, relieved that the lost boy did not push against back,. The stretching feeling made her feel like getting torn apart all over again and she gave herself a moment to adjust to the size. The lost boy rolled his eyes back and shut them with a loud moan when he felt her walls tightened around, rubbing his thumbs against the tender flesh of her hips, when she finally started to slowly move up and down. Seeing the ruthless second in command like this was really stunning and lovely to look at. Felix's mouth was slightly agape and the muscles on his forehead were constantly twitching, moving his eyebrows constantly around. Never had Y/N seen so much emotion in his face before. She pressed her body against the lost boy and sucked at the tender part of Felix's neck. The lost boy used that moment as a chance to turn her over, holding Y/N tight in his arm, the other one holding his weight so he would not suffocate her while he was pumping in and out. Y/N moaned in ecstasy and ran her hands over his muscular back, feeling his skin against them and how his sweat dropped onto her body. She placed her legs on each side of his, clearly noticing the height difference and feeling like a delicate doll as he embraced her. Felix paced up and she rolled her eyes back when he entered in another angle to come even deeper. She never wanted this to stop and kept feeling how the lost boy filled her with his thick manhood, smelling his scent and feeling his hot skin burning against hers. Felix kissed his way down to her chest and caught one of her nipples between his lips, lightly starting to suck on them and intensing it with each time he thrusted in. These were the final strokes that caused Y/N's legs to shiver and tense up every muscle in her body as her climax roared through her whole body, up into her eyes into the back of her head. The lost boy grabbed Y/N's shoulders and when he came, too, the light of the candles danced in his beautiful, scrunched up face. It was a lie to say she did not like that view and the squeaking sound he made when Felix felt his orgasm deep inside her with throbbing pumps. Felix rolled next to the girl, trying to catch his breath and when he did so, he grabbed a towel from the bed for her.
"We could have used the bed." Y/N broke the soothing silence after a while and Felix chuckled, then nodded in agreement.
"Next time." He grinned, pulling his boxers up and placing himself back onto the ground. His eyes did not stop looking at the girl while she grabbed her dress and pulled it back over herself. For a long time they just looked at each other, laughing and giggling, kissing each other but remaining silent. This was clearly something none of them expected to happen.
"What do you see in me?" Y/N suddenly asked, caughting the lost boy off guard, his facial expression went into full confusion. It took him a moment to think about her question before he simply smiled. His eyes would always melt at her sight and in that moment she needed no words from him to realise how much he was in love with her. The lost boy pulled Y/N closer to him and placed her head against his chest, lifted her on his arms and carried her to the bed where he would let himself fall onto the soft mattress. His legs hung over the wooden frame as he gently rubbed his hands over her back while listening to the beat of his heart.
"I would never let anyone harm you." His voice was just a warm breeze on her earlobe, tickling her like a gentle kiss.
"What about Pan?" She asked after a while and took a glimpse at his relaxed face and how her question did not seem to have woken any worries inside him now. He had brushed it off earlier.
"I think, actually, he knew way before me." Felix chuckled low and shook his head unbelieving. "He gave me a chance I got wasted."

Day 1: Horrors in the Darkness
A/N: Happy ShinRan week everyone!!! ❤ Here is my first work, and to be honest, not a big fan of the name, but because I couldn't make anything else, I'm going with this. But I promise this isn't a horror story :D Hope you still find this cute or something x)
Also thank you @mirrorfalls editing this ❤
Horrors in the Darkness
They were the seven when the trip was announced - the first real field trip they’d ever heard of, out in Tama. Just walking in nature, exploring different vegetation and animals, and eating fresh food their hosts had made, the food you didn’t always get from the city. It was a two-day trip, one night in a guesthouse. They had so much fun that day, maybe a little too much because it had been hard to get eighteen children to calm down and sleep peacefully in the same room on their futons.
But finally, they calmed down and fell peacefully asleep.
Until a quarter of midnight, when Ran’s eyes snapped open. In a nightmare, a bear had chased her, and when she had got into the guesthouse, the bear had tried to come in, scratched the door, roared in a loud voice, until the claws had gotten through…
She had woken up and after calming down and realizing it was just a nightmare, she tried to fall asleep again. Yet, since the guestroom wasn’t a new one, she heard all kinds of noises. Wind howling on corners, owls hooting, rustlings, and rasping sounds. And as much as she tried to ignore them, as much as she tried to tell herself that everything was okay, she still couldn’t calm down. She tried to reason in her head that they were just sounds of nature and if there was some kind of emergency, their teachers and hosts would have come and woken them up already. And all those scary stories that the boys had told earlier were just made-up. Just stories…
Yet her imagination wasn’t that easy to reassure. She heard every noise and saw every shadow, and she was so scared. She hid under the blanket, closed her eyes, and covered her ears, trying her hardest not to hear those noises, but she couldn’t be at ease. Louder noises scared her more and nothing could take that away.
She felt tears in her eyes. She wanted to go home. She wanted to be at home, in the safety of her nice quiet room. Or even if there would be some noises, she would know that it was her father, or if not, she could go and wake him up. He would let her sleep in his arms, tell her that there wouldn’t be anything to worry about, and she would feel warm and safe and any voices wouldn’t matter anymore, because her father would be there to protect her. She would forget all those ghosts hovering behind her window or bad guys trying to get in, or whatever else her imagination would tell her.
But as much as she tried to calm herself down, imagine her father and his soothing voice, she couldn’t. The voices were unfamiliar to her. After every sound she heard, she just waited, dreading that something terrible would happen. Like a bat would fly in from somewhere, or a bear to break through the wall, or…
She sat down and dried her tears. Maybe she should go and wake Sensei. She was kind and Ran knew that she would understand.
She stood up and walked slowly closer to the door, watching out for her classmates who were still sleeping. She was a little envious of them, sleeping like there was nothing to worry about.
Yet, halfway there, she saw some kind of shadow near the door. Ran stopped and stared at it. It looked like someone was standing there. Then she saw some movements, and she wanted to scream. She covered her mouth with her hands and felt tears again in her eyes when she took steps backward. No, she couldn’t go. That witch wouldn’t let her…
She turned and looked around. What would she…
Then she remembered that in this room, there was someone who she could rely on. Carefully she walked to that one futon and dropped to her knees beside it. In the dark, she could see a familiar face, sleeping peacefully.
“Shinichi?” she whispered and nudged him carefully. He let out a short noise, a sign that something had disturbed his dreams, but it hadn’t been enough to wake him. Ran tried a little harder. “Shinichi. Shinichi!”
Slowly he turned and opened his eyes. Ran let go of him, and just observed how he blinked a few times and finally found her with his eyes. He looked tired, and she suddenly felt bad for waking him.
“Ran?” he asked before yawning and rubbing his eyes. “What time is it?”
“I don’t know”, she answered. “Middle of the night, maybe”, she continued.
Shinichi dropped his hand and looked at her annoyed. “Middle of the night?” he repeated. “Then why did you wake me up?”
Ran looked back and hesitated for a moment when she saw that thing beside the door moving again. “Because I’m scared”, she whispered finally.
“Scared?” Shinichi repeated. “Scared of what?”
Ran turned to look at him. “Voices”, she answered. “I can’t sleep.”
Shinichi sat up and looked around like he was listening. It felt like forever for Ran. Then he grinned. “All I heard was only Nakamichi snoring”, he said eventually.
“It’s not that”, Ran disagreed, annoyed. Like she wouldn’t recognize snoring from other noises. Her father snored all the time when sleeping! “Those voices come from outside.”
Shinichi listened again. Ran heard hooting, and it made her shiver. She got closer to him and grabbed his arm. “Like that”, she whispered, looking out from the window which was too high to see outside, but she just knew that something would come through…
“That’s an owl, you know”, Shinichi answered.
“And then I hear whining…”
“This is an old house, it’s just the wind.”
“And rustling and rasping sounds”, Ran continued.
“Probably just animals walking around”, he answered calmly. “We are close to the woods, and animals are curious…”
“But what if they attack?” Ran asked and looked worriedly outside. If they all attacked, how would the class defend themselves?
“Idiot”, Shinichi said, making Ran look at him. “They are afraid of us much more than you of them”, he answered and showed her an assured smile. “So quit worrying and go back to sleep.”
“But…”
His smile disappeared. “But?”
Ran looked at the door, squeezing Shinichi’s arm. “But there is someone…” she whispered.
Shinichi looked at the door. “No, there isn’t”, he said eventually.
“But… who’s that, then?” She pointed at the figure beside the door. Shinichi followed the direction she pointed out. Then he squinted his eyes before letting out a short laugh.
“That’s just a pile of futons”, he answered, and dropped himself back on his own futon, making Ran let go of his arm. Ran looked at how he closed his eyes like he was ready to return to sleep. “Remember? Those that we didn’t need? They were piled beside the door.”
Ran turned to look at the figure again. She observed it very carefully, and the more she looked at it, the more she started to see the proper details. Yeah, he was right. She remembered those futons and all the ones they didn’t need, and to be honest, she recognized them now.
But even though it made her feel a little better, she still wasn’t sure. She still felt uneasy. Because she was sure that she had seen something move…
“But it moved”, she said quietly.
“Probably some wind moved some sheet or something”, Shinichi answered like it was clear as day.
Ran just sat there, still looking at the pile. Shinichi was probably right, but somehow, she didn’t feel sure enough about the idea to go back to her futon and try to fall asleep. She still doubted. She wanted to question his words, but at the same time, part of her knew that he was right. But even though he was right, every noise and shadow she still heard and saw, made her question everything.
“Go back to sleep”, Shinichi said finally, and when Ran turned to look at him, he looked very relaxed. “There is nothing to be scared of.”
Ran hesitated. Her eyes went back to the door and the pile of futons. Then she heard a few other noises from the outside which made her shiver. This was stupid! She couldn’t ease her mind, even when Shinichi had proven there was nothing to worry about! She tried to remember how her father had always made her relax enough to fall asleep again…
Well, there was something, but…
Ran turned to look at Shinichi. “Can I sleep with you?”
She saw how he opened his eyes. “What?”
Ran felt frustrated. “I can’t sleep alone anymore”, she said, defending herself. “I just… I…”
She couldn’t continue. What would she say? That all the unfamiliar sounds made her think terrible things and she couldn’t help it. She couldn’t get rid of the thought. But she usually got calm when she was with her father because she knew that he would be there to protect her if something happened.
Well, Shinichi wasn’t her father, but he was one of her best friends. He would make sure that nothing would happen, or at least wake her up if something did. And since he was so calm…
“You know those horror stories aren’t real?” Shinichi asked finally. “Boys just wanted to scare you…”
Ran felt her cheeks warm and she looked away angrily. “It isn’t because of them”, she claimed. Gosh, she wasn’t going to admit it to him! He had made fun of her during the evening when they had just sat there and told those scary stories! But he had also been the one who had finally told the other boys to stop teasing her and promised her that they were just stories, just make-believe.
Maybe he had seen just how scared Ran was.
But the more she stared at Shinichi, the more frustrated she felt. He didn’t seem to be a big fan of the idea of sharing a futon with her. And there wasn’t enough space for her to just move her futon beside his.
She glanced at the door. Maybe she should go find Sensei and tell her…
“Fine,” he said eventually, making Ran look at him. He looked annoyed, but moved a little, making room for her. “If you really insist.”
Ran smiled. Yes, she wouldn’t have to go looking for Sensei after all!
She went to her side and carefully pulled half of the blanket over her, making sure that Shinichi still had enough for himself. Then she searched for a moment for a good position before settling down.
She couldn’t tell why, but she started to feel relaxed. She felt his presence and somehow it made all those noises disappear and her imagination calm down. Somehow she didn’t care about any of them anymore. When she looked at Shinichi’s side profile with a smile, she felt already so sleepy. She let her eyes close.
“Thank you, Shinichi”, she whispered. “Good night.”
He didn’t answer. But just before she fell all the way asleep, she thought that she heard:
“Good night Ran.”

Vogue morning routine
Y/N Y/N/L’s guide to effortless natural makeup
Summary: you are asked to do the Vogue Beauty Secrets video and your two boys decide to join the party
Word count: around 2000
Warning: none, just pure floof!
I apologize in advance if there are any spelling and/or grammar mistakes, English is not my first language (+ this is my very first fic)
HEADLINE Henry Cavill’s new girlfriend, designer Y/N Y/L/N reveals her everyday morning routine in recent Vogue video: Y/N Y/L/N shows off her secrets to the perfect fusion of European and Asian beauty.
You stood in the spacious bathroom of the hotel room, only wearing a big, fluffy, white robe, that was actually Henry’s. But since the man was in the gym, you took the opportunity to lend it and bathe yourself in his musky smell, that calmed your nerves. Last night you started panicking, thinking you would probably look stupid for the entire world to see, luckily Henry and Kal tried to calm you down with cuddles and kisses.
This was the first ‘interview’ you would do, being such a young, successful entrepreneur really caught the attention of the media. When you first started your small online shop, you never would have thought you would end up here. Five years later, with a steady income, the job you always wished for and the man you had a crush on since the first time you laid eyes on him. Being a creative, it really made your heart soar with happiness, seeing all your products, your babies, in new homes where they would make others happy.
You were really proud of yourself. Henry was as well, and he made sure you and everybody around you knew. You were apprehensive at first, being with such a well known actor, who was also much older than you, it made you nervous of what people would say, what the media would say. You didn’t want to tarnish Henry’s image. You knew there were people with a much bigger age gap, but still, people were ruthless. So you both decided to take it slow, being careful with going out in public and social media posts.
You stand in front of the large mirror, which had a camera attached to it and open up your makeup bag. Right before you went into the bathroom, you made yourself a nice cup of tea, trying to stay calm. “Hi! I’m Y/N and today I am going to show you my everyday makeup routine,” you say with a smile, “I am not a dermatologist so please don’t take what I say too seriously.”
You grab a small white washcloth and hold it up, so it was in the frame, “First, I am going to wash my face and put on a few drops of serum,” You dampen the cloth and wipe it over your face and neck. You put a few drops in the palm of your hand and pat them into your skin. “Now I going to use my jade roller to massage the serum into my skin. It’s quite funny seeing so many people use these nowadays. In ancient China they were mostly used by the elite to keep there skin ageless. They would call jade the Stone of Heaven. It’s really helpful for the people who wake up with a puffy face like me,” you chuckle.
Somethimes you’d wake up with puffy cheeks, which led to Henry calling you his chubby bunny in the morning.
“Just a quick tip, and this is for everybody, make sure you always use SPF. I personally use SPF 30 and this one is shine control, since I tend to get an oily skin, but you can also use a regular one or a foundation with SPF in it. Believe me when I say your skin will be thankful.”
You grab the small tube of sun cream and show the amount you’ll use. You even convinced Henry to wear SPF everyday. At first he said he didn’t think it would make such a big difference, but when he realised you were going to be the one to put it on him, he was convinced about its benefits and adamant to wear it everyday. After working the thick cream into your skin, you put on some lipbalm and rummage through the pouch in front of you. When you find the product you’re looking for, you hold it up. “Now, I am going to put on a bit of concealer, this one is from Maybelline. After this, I will use a lighter shade under my eyes and on my acne scars that I have here,” you point and circle around the small cluster of scars on the sides of your cheeks.
Before blending out the concealer, you smile at the lens and put in two bright yellow hairclips, to keep your dark locks from falling into your face. “I probably should have done this at the start,” you laugh. The nerves creeping up a little. It wasn’t that you where a shy person, but knowing thousands of people will watch this, did something to you. You were always a very easygoing person, who could talk with pretty much everybody. But knowing people were going to watch you do something so intimate in a way, and would probably comment on it, scared you a little. While you would be 100% yourself, doing something as mundane as getting ready. If they didn’t like you now, then they probably won’t like you later. And that was what made you so afraid.
The bathrobe falls a bit down your shoulder, but you ignore it, since your hair fell down your shoulders in big waves. “Okay, brows. I used to block them in really dark when I was younger, but now I try to keep a light hand. I’ll use this Got 2B Glued as a brow gel afterwards. The tails of my eyebrows tend to move if I don’t use a strong enough gel. If you’re Asian you will understand the struggle.”
You quickly finish your brows, put some bronzer on your face and eyelids and take out your liquid eyeliner. “Am I the only one that acts like I’m a beauty guru whenever I do my makeup? Like, I’m just acting as if I’m used to this, right now, but to be honest, I was really nervous to do this video for Vogue,” you admit, “they will probably regret asking me,” you chuckle. You finish your eyemakeup with curling your long lashes, thanks to your mother’s genes, and add a coat of mascara.
You take in a deep breath, excited to show everyone the product you had been waiting for. “The next thing I am really proud to show you guys, because I designed the packaging. This is the new limited edition blush and highlighter palette from Dior, which they created for Lunar New Year!” You beam with pride, holding up the elegant looking palette. It had a darker toned glossy finish and the borders were the traditional Chinese looking frames, which were 3D and were surrounded by a wild variety of peonies. In the middle of the lid was your Chinese calligraphy in big golden brush stokes that said ‘year of the Ox’, the clasp was designed so it resembled an antique Chinese coin and on the side hung a jade charm.
“You can pre-order this palette now, I think they will put a link-thingy in de description. I wish you all a happy and blessed Lunar New Year, 祝农历年新年快乐牛年大吉!”
Just as you’re about to add some blush to your cheeks, the bathroom door creaks open and a curly-headed, sweaty Henry pops his head in. Fresh from the gym, and were you thankful for his new intense workout, because he was truely a sight to behold. A cheeky smile graces his handsome face when he spots you in front of the mirror, only wearing his robe, which made his grin widen.
“what are you doing in here? Are you hiding from me? Playing hide and seek is it?” he teases and rakes his large hand through the tousled curls, but just as he’s done speaking, he sees the camera behind you, and blushes. “Oh, I didn’t know you were filming, I’m sorry darling,” he smiles and gives a small wave in the direction of the camera. You led out a giggle, cheeks turning red already, if he’d keep this up, you wouldn’t need to add blush. You couldn’t focus anymore, he looked so attractive, only wearing his black gym shorts and a tight dark blue tank top. Damn that camera, otherwise you would have jumped him. Henry, thought the exact same thing. Seeing you, only wearing his robe and your hair still a bit wild from this morning’s cardio, made him hold back a moan. Those two cute, yellow clips in your hair could have fooled him, because you were anything but innocent.
Before he’s about to close the door again, he blows you a kiss. But his actions are stopped when a big bear makes his appearance. Bolting past his dad’s legs, Kal comes into the bathroom. Henry tries to catch him but misses. The black and white akita excitedly sniffs his head around the sink, trying to see what you were up to with all the stuff lying on the marble counter.
“Kal!” Henry whisper-yelled, trying to stay hidden behind the door. But you could still see his massive body crouched down behind the wood. It was rather funny, seeing the large man so panicked about getting his dog to listen. It kind of reminded you of that one video from BBC were a professor was being interviewed and his baby and nanny showed up in the background. While Henry tried to get Kal’s attention, the dog just sat next to your legs, and smiled when you pet him behind his ear. He was your good boy.
You both knew there was no other option but to keep Kal here, once he saw you do your makeup, he wanted to watch and get his ‘makeup’ done as well.
Henry also saw the look in Kal’s eyes and let out a sigh. Might as well stay with his two loves. He stood up from his position and walked to you, wrapping his sweaty but oh so save body around your figure, and placed a prolonged kiss on the exposed skin just by your shoulder. So far for taking it slow… He pressed himself thighter against your back, hiding his face in the crook of your neck and intertwined your hands, slowly rocking you two back en forth. “You look beautiful, my love,” he whispered, so only you could hear it, at least you hoped the camera wouldn’t pick that up. You let out a little giggle, like the inner schoolgirl you were whenever he was around you.
“Kal loves when Y/N does his makeup as well, don’t you boy,” Henry explains with a smile and looks down at the bear by your bare feet. Kal gives a small ruff and sweeps his tail eagerly. “Did you show them what you made,” he asked you with a wide smile, and looked straight in to the camera, “she worked really hard on that design, so I hope you all like it,” he declared proudly.
You ended up doing your makeup routine with your two boys in the background. Henry left for a few minutes to shower in the second bathroom your hotelroom had, and came back clad in a pair of light jogging trousers and a sweater. Even though you were inside, it was still a bit too chilly to walk around in short sleeves, being mid-winter and all. He just sat on the small wooden bench by the door, still in frame for everybody to enjoy and behold. His hair now damp. He was reading in a book and patiently waiting for you to get ready, occasionally looking up and laughing when you would wet your hands or Kal’s special makeup brush in the sink and pretend to do his makeup. The dog would bark excitedly and give you kisses. “Wow Kal, you look so pretty,” Henry told the big floof with the chuckle.
“Okay, this was my -somewhat- everyday makeup routine! Thank you guys for watching this chaotic mess, hope you laughed a bit, bye-bye, 再见!” How do those vlogger end their videos? Smash like and subscribe?
Behind you Henry looked up from the pages of his fantasy book and arched his brow, “Hey! No shout-out for your special guests? See you all next time!”
WOOHOO!! This is my very first fanfic, I really hope you enjoyed it. Liking, reposting and commenting would mean a lot to me! If you do repost this, please do not edit or copy my work. I worked really hard on this.
Much love, Nahmi xxx

Stripes the 50 year old tiger
This will be a longer post, because it’s all about the details, and there was a lot of going back and forth with photos and emails to get Stripes and his stripes just right. So be sure you’re comfy when you sit down to read it. :-)
***************
Stripes person first wrote to me back in December about her tiger, Stripes, and his companion RedEye the snake. Both were starting to feel their age, but as she said,
“ As you can see Stripes is in the most need of repairs. Personally, I’m guessing that a full recovering is needed, but I’m certainly no expert and will follow your advice. Here are some pics which show Stripes fur disappearing and soon he will be bald. Amazingly he has no damage that I can find. His ears need some stuffing, but they have never been tall, firm standing Teddy Bear ears.”
Here are the diagnosis photos she sent:
As you can see, his belly section was pretty good, but his furry parts were wearing and fading. His person really wanted his fur recovered, in an orangier rather than tanner fur, and she opted for him to have a spa too.
Here he is in his bubble bath:
Once he was dry, he got restuffed and of course, got a heart with a bit of his original stuffing. Here’s his heart being made:
Then it was time to choose furs. As some of you know who’ve been reading for a while, usually with tigers we use a solid fur of the preferred background color, then add the stripes by hand afterwards. Here were the best fur options:
His person opted for the orangier, furrier one.
Stripes got recovered, and some smaller wounds on his belly were sewn. Then, it was time for hand striping. I did some basic striping, and then sent photos for feedback:
His person’s first response was:
Beth, you’ve made me cry at work. I’m absolutely over the moon with Stripes new look!!! Holy cats he’s looking beautiful!! You are AMAZING!
But I was asking for striping feedback, and she happily provided it:
The stripes. Thank you for being so conservative. :) I would like to add some more stripes. I’ve included an updated pic that shows where I would like some stripes added.
Tail: Could you put 2 stripes in a ring pattern around the tail? They continue the black spots you started. I also noticed with other Gund tigers that the ring was painted at a slight angle or sprayed as 2 “halves”, not a straight ring that looked like a raccoon’s tail. (pics) I know that there was more black at the tip of the tail, but I don’t think the whole tip was black.
Back Leg: I’ve continued your 3 spots into stripes.
Body: I’ve added 2 stripes, but if you will notice stripe #2 is in the shape of a ‘V”. (I remember this detail as a child) The stripes do NOT have to line up with the fabric underneath. They didn’t before. :D
Face: I’ve added a short stripe above Stripes’ right eye. This detail always gave him a slight serious look without being mean. (not a lot of slant to the line, if any) I have always loved this detail about him. And I’ve elongated the stripe on his forhead.
Beth, I’m pretty sure we will be adding some more stripes to the back, especially his head but I thought we might tackle this bit first.
She closed with:
Again, I just absolutely can’t thank you enough for your beautiful and loving work on my best friend. I have been showing people the before and after pics for the last 5 hours. I’m so happy!!!
So back to drawing stripes on Stripes I went. Here are the next batch of photos:
Stripes person was thrilled:
Stripes looks spectacular!! I mean he is just awesome with the stripes that you’ve filled out.
She wanted just one more stripe. She sent a photo, but it was in another format, so I won’t put it here, but she also described what she wanted very well:
So I just have 1 more stripe for you. If you look at my pic, you will see that I’ve drawn a line over the small black dot that is on his forehead. In the last pic you sent me you can still see that it’s just a spot and not a stripe. Could you lengthen that spot into a stripe for me?
Please note the position. When you are seated facing Stripes, this stripe includes/starts at the black spot and runs towards the right. You have a pretty stripe that’s higher on the head already placed on the left so this one goes off to the right and is the same length as that one.
Adjustment made, I sent another photo (you can see the printout with her line instruction next to him):
Her response:
Perfection Achieved! I’m so so happy!!!! How many exclamation points can I put in an email to show you how perfect Stripes is!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Stripes got packed up and headed home to a grateful human and snake. Here he is at home with his pal, RedEye:
His person was soooo happy! She wrote a very long thank you, with a history of Stripes and RedEye, and I don’t want to edit it, so I’m copying it entirely here for you to read. But you can skip it if you want and just know she was happy!
Hi Beth,
Sit back and relax. This may be a little bit of a long happy read. :D Please feel free to use any content or pics from my emails for your blog.
I waited anxiously for Stripes to arrive. Yes, my husband signed for the box and I couldn’t wait to get home!
And so the moment has arrived. I brought Stripes best friend Redeye in from the bedroom to help me open the package. We open, I close my eyes dig in past the packing peanuts and pull out our best friend. Oh My Goodness! He is beautiful! bright! and colorful! He practically glows! I see his face. Yes, yes! It’s Stripes! I see the same face I’ve gazed into and loved for 50 years. And that’s when the tears start. Crying, mouth open in shock but my husband says he’s never seen me happier. ..After many long years, I can finally cuddle my friend again.
Beth you have given me back something I thought I would never have again. I love Stripes so, but I couldn’t, didn’t dare to pet him or cuddle him. I had to be so gentle, so afraid that I was doing more damage to him. But now all that is over! I can sleep with my buddy by my side. I can take him on vacations again! I’m tearing up just writing this. I can’t express my joy…absolute joy over the work you have done. Stripes looks like a beautiful and bright toy again. Thank you Beth. Thank you so very much.
…And I’ll be sending Redeye to you some time in February. I’ll be sure to email you first to start the process.
And here’s a little history about Stripes. Stripes was a Christmas present in 1969. I have always loved tigers and I was in deep love the moment I saw him. He has enjoyed play tea parties with me, and watched drive-in movies sitting in the back window. He has looked over the candy hauls that I collected during Halloween and been in a beautiful oak tree during the crisp dry autumn. (Carefully placed on a towel, but he needed to experience a tree. He is a tiger after all.) He has been with me in Japan for a year and traveled all over the US northwest looking out of a train window. And he has done all these things with Redeye by his side.
--But let’s face the facts, in the last few years my friend was disappearing before my eyes. There was good fortune that his seams were okay but the fur was coming off. His stripes were completely gone in areas. He was looking more yellow everywhere. And I dared only to pat him. That’s when I began to search for help to restore my friend and so I found Realms of Gold on the internet.
Beth has been wonderful, corresponding with emails and working out details by sending pictures back and forth. She listened to my input and was absolutely amazing at applying the stripes in the right places. We actually discussed exactly where to put them. :D I trust Beth’s skills so much that I will be sending Stripes best friend Redeye along soon. He was amazed and so happy with Stripes look, that he can’t wait to go to Realms of Gold!
Okay Beth, this may be a little serious but I wanted to express my honest feelings, and let you know why this has been so important to me.
With my 2 stuffed animals loosing hair and looking tired a sobering thought occurred to me. If something happened to me, what would happen to them? We have no children to give them to. We can’t donate them because being so worn out, no one would take them. And the thought that they might end up in a garbage bin was too much. Of course for me, my goal was to pet, play and enjoy them again. That goes without saying. But now, seeing Stripes beautiful bright colors, I am happy and secure in knowing that years from now, I can donate or will him to a children’s home where he will continue to be loved. (I have several friends who grew up in orphanages and we think it’s a wonderful idea.)
Thank you so much Beth!!!!!!
I don’t know about all of you, but that made me smile all day. :-)

Miracles Gala (Ethan x MC)
Pairing: Dr. Ethan Ramsey x Dr. Marchia Bisognin (F!MC)
Setting: Set two months after the end of Book 3.
Premise: Her first appearance as the Head of Diagnostics Team may not be as easy as she thinks.
A/N: I made an edit and it ended up being a fic (because I have no self control).
Warm evening rays of sunshine pierced through the floor-to-ceiling bedroom windows, causing Marchia’s organized jewelry collection to glimmer on top of their shared vanity table. Standing in front of the oak cheval mirror, she stretched her arms to her back; armpits clenched in vain to prevent her off-shoulders black dress from slipping down.
“Ugh,” she grumbled, her blonde hair falling over her lined forehead.
“Why,” Marchia inhaled sharply, fingers yanking on the small zipper. “Won’t you close?!”
An exaggerated sigh escaped her as she plopped down on the floor, closing her eyes in an attempt to regain her sense of quietude. Turns out, beneath all that bravado Marchia puts in front of everyone, she would still turn into a bundle of nerves each time her presence was required at formal events.
Especially with the prestigious ‘Head of Diagnostics Team’ title on her shoulders.
Tonight was her first time coming out to the public eye with her shiny brand-new position, two months after being officially appointed. Bear in mind, she is not exactly a celebrity, but she knew all eyes would be on her as soon as she stepped into the venue.
Marchia realized—since a long time ago—that sometimes, the world can be callous and cruel. People tell stories; whispers, rancorous accusations, downright bitter and vindictive rumors just to make themselves feel better. At this point, she could practically list down everyone’s favorite speculations towards her.
Isn’t she that reckless intern that almost got her license taken?
Really? A woman, leading the team?
She’s way too young, right?
Why would the Chief trust her with the Diagnostics team?
The pretty little intern probably slept with her boss to get to where she is.
Her mind ceaselessly replayed the vitriolic yet plausible tittle-tattles. It’s easy to drown oneself with these endless questions; each word beginning to consume her bit by bit.
“Need some help?”
She opened her eyes to see Ethan staring down at her, a line between his brows, a small loving smile on his face. He was already dressed for the gala, his hands tucked inside his pockets, hair combed back.
“I was hoping to find you fast asleep in bed,” he smirked, settling himself down beside her on the floor. “Then we would have an excuse to skip the gala altogether.”
“God, I’m such a bad influence on you, huh?” she ribbed, elbowing him playfully.
“Perhaps,” Ethan smiled.
He had this effect on her; something akin to the rhythmic and harmonious percussion of ocean waves on sand. Soothing, calming. Washing away all of the tension from her.
Moments like this makes it indisputable—maybe they were destined to be together.
“Is there something on your mind?” he asked.
“Just... slightly nervous.”
“Of the gala?”
Her head gave a subtle swing from left to right. “About everything.”
Ethan stared at her, his blue eyes searching hers. His hands reached out to her, brushing her hair back from her face, tucking it around her ear.
“That’s.. okay,” he muttered, his voice calm and measured.
They melt together into the comfortable silence; taking in as much serenity as possible before the storm they must embrace. Then, he stood, holding out a hand to help her up.
“You have me,” he gently zipped her dress, dragging his hands to her neck and over her clavicle. “And I have you.”
Marchia turned her head to see him—the man that once forbids himself to feel, to let go, to love. She saw the glimmer in his eyes, filled with tenderness and warmth, unapologetically love-struck with the woman in front of him.
“I think we’re going to be just alright,” he continued, the corners of his lips turned upwards before leaning in to press a chaste kiss on her cheeks.
“Have you seen this?” Marchia tilts her head quizzically while examining the peculiar content on her phone.
Ethan shifts his gaze, putting down the newspaper he was reading. “I need you to clarify what ‘this’ means.”
“This,” she replied, sitting down besides him, eyes widened as she shoved her phone screen in front of his face.
“Damn, you know you’ve made it when your photo is published by the Boston Globe, huh,” she chuckled, squinting her eyes at the screen; confusion and awe etched on her beautiful face.
He took another glimpse of their photo—seemingly a quiet contentment spread through him. “It looks... right.”
“You mean, me being Head of Diagnostics?” she returns cheerfully, flashing a roguish smirk.
“Yes, that,” he replied with a crooked half-smile.
“But, more importantly,” Ethan paused, tightening the grip around her waist; soaking in the glorious view of his beautiful companion. “Having you next to me.”
Additional A/N: I’m obsessed with their photo okay don’t judge me

Let’s Strike a Deal
A/N: This is late, I know. If you have not realized from before, I’m really bad at meeting deadlines. Well, at least deadlines that I’ve created for myself to follow because I like to procrastinate things and frankly… what am I gonna do to myself? Band myself from tea until I’ve written a chapter? I don’t have the self control for that! And life is hectic. But you know, enough with my excuses and onto the story. Hope you enjoy. I always love feedback so please be sure to leave a comment! ALSO I wanted to give a TRY (key word) to first person. If I don’t like it... I might change it, idk. I should never write anything at 3am as per evidence below, especially without editing lmao
Pair: CEO!Tom x Reader
Synopsis: Y/N, the small town of Hawkshead girl trying to make her way in the big city of Westminster, London. Not as easy as she thought. When things start to take a turn for the worst one afternoon and only one man in the crowd of hundreds decides to help her, she does something rather uncharacteristic and gives her savor her number in case he could ever use help of his own. Course, she never expected for him to actually call her out on it.

Warning(s): none… yet. Cursing?
Word Count:
My time was limited. There was nothing left that had to be done here or anything left to pack. Everything I’ve ever owned sat in a car on the way to my new apartment and last of the suitcases were in the bed of my brothers pickup at this very moment while I sat on the floor of my room. There wasn’t anything left for me here, I knew that, but it was still difficult to say goodbye to the place that carried so many of my favorite memories and the imprints of my childhood that still were splayed around the surrounding room.
There were two dents in the wall right in front of me from when I was ten and hit my head after tripping on one of my toys, thumbtack holes that littered everywhere above the bed from forts that I would make with my brothers and friends, nail polish that was spilled on the carpet from times when I was too distracted with talking than keeping the bottle up straight, my engraved initials on the windowsill. The memories that I had made in this room were countless and they were all absolutely priceless.
“Y/N!” I heard your mother call from the living room, her voice was slightly hoarse from held back emotion and it broke my heart to hear her like that. “You got to get going, dear! You’ll miss your train if you wait much longer to head out.”
Taking a deep breath and slowly standing from the, now old, bed I made my way toward the door, feet dredging behind me and scuffing the floor as I walked out. “I know, Mama. I’m just-” the words caught in my throat and I was at a loss. “I’m really going to miss you guys so much.”
“Oh stop it, you’re gonna make me cry if you keep on like that,” She said giving a tight hug before pushing me out the front door. “You are going to love it in London so much you’re not even gonna be thinking about us here, so get goin’. Your brothers already waiting for you in the car.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at her antics, “I love you Mama! I’ll call you when I get there!”
Jumping into the passenger seat of the truck, I waved final goodbyes from the window, dramatically blowing kisses as the car started to drive away.
“You better!” She exclaimed, watching as we pulled out and down the road.
“She is going to be a mess when I get back home. I can’t believe you’re going to leave me to deal with that alone!” Christian, stuck driving you to the train station much to his dismay, gave you a mocking glare. “After all the things I’ve done for your, this is how you choose to repay me? I’m pretty sure I’m getting the short end of the stick here,” he laughed humorlessly.
“Ahhh~” I cooed and smiled, “You’re only saying that cause you know you guys’ are going to be missing me so much!”
“Miss you?” He scoffed, “Yeah right. What we’re going to be missing is your baking. It’ll be the greatest blow our family has faced since 1824.”
I gave a scathing look, “And what, if I may ask, happened in 1824?”
“Don’t know, but something bad probably.”
»»-——————————————-««
I have never been so sore getting off of a bus in her life. The cheapest route to get to Westminster from Hawkshead was a train and 8 bus stops, totaling up to 10 or so hours in and out of vehicles. I groaned and stretched when my feet planted on hard asphalt for the first time in what seemed like forever. But, for all the soreness, I had made it to my destination with time to spare.
It was louder than I had imagined, crowded with traffic from all directions and people running any which way to get on with their lives. It was bustling and busy. Lively. Not exactly what I was used to which made me smile.
Wide.
I made it.
I only had a suitcase with me, the rest of her belongings would be delivered in a few days to the new apartment.
My apartment.
I was positively giddy at the thought.
It took a lot of self control to keep from skipping down the side walks while I somehow navigated the new scenery, but I managed to keep my excitement under wraps for the time being. Arriving an hour early gave me a bit of time to take in the bigger sites near by, like the Ferris wheel, the clock tower Big Ben, and my personal favorite- Westminster Palace and abbey. It was a dream of mine since I was little to see it in person, and now here I was standing mere blocks away from the grand building, elated and amazed.
Vibrating caught my attention and I barely managed to turn my eyes away from the sites in front of me to my phone, Kyra’s name popping up on the screen. My best friend and now room mate, Kyra Bardou, who was probably wondering where the hell I was now.
“Hey,” I drawled with an obvious grin I couldn’t even hide in my voice.
“Hey yourself! I’ve been waiting at the stop for 15 minutes with no sign of you only to learn you’re already in town and didn’t even bother to tell me!” She spoke so quickly I was shocked she didn’t run out of breath and laughed.
“I’m site seeing, sue me!” I turned and started making the slow walk back, “I’ll be back in a couple minutes, I promise.”
She only grunted in response and let me walk in a comfortable silence, letting me continue to take everything in while simply enjoying her presence on the line. It was the last few moments I’d get now, the last bits of my old life slipping through my fingers like sand in exchange for a new one.
And the chaos that comes with a big city.
Like robbers.
I couldn’t even let out a cry as I was shoved to the ground, my phone forced from my hand and my suitcase caught up in a strange mans arms. It took me a whole 5 seconds to get my bearings enough to yell at the man and give chase, shouting for help though no one so much as looked our way, just moved out of his.
“Stop!” I screamed, running but quickly losing him as he bobbed and weaved through the crowd skillfully. “Stop! Someone stop him!”
And this time, someone moved to action, running past me at an alarming rate and quickly gaining ground on my assailant before they both rounded a corner and I lost sight of them.
My heart dropped and I picked up speed again, hoping that I didn’t let them get far enough away for me to lose them completely, it would have been easy for them to get away from me here.
But when I turned around the block, I found the man on the ground with the track star of a man on top of him, already on the phone with I assume the police. I finally caught up to them and without thinking, hugged the man on the phone, a silent thank you while he spoke to whoever was on the line, before I gathered my things and hugging them close to me.
He smiled kindly, finishing the call and turning to me properly while still pinning the thief to the ground. “Are you alright miss?”
“Yes! Thank you so much, I’d have been completely lost without this,” I gestured to my luggage. “I can’t thank you enough for helping me get it back. I don’t even know how to get around town yet.”
He laughed and nodded. “So new to town then. It was my pleasure to help, though I was really just doing what anyone in my position would do,” he responded kindly.
Furiously I shook my head, “No, you didn’t. I don’t believe I saw a single soul other than you move to help. Unless you did but beat them to it at the last minute. Not that that it implausible, you are seriously fast on your feet.”
He laughed again and I noticed what a nice laugh he had, it was contagious and I couldn’t help but let out a chuckle of my own now that my adrenaline was fading bit by bit. “Yes, well- I do enjoy the sport.”
“Dually noted,” I grinned, jumping a little when my phone started to buzz in my hands. Kyra’s name popping up on the screen again. “Shoot!” I exclaimed and answered. I wasn’t even able to put the phone to my ear before I heard her shouting my name on the line. “Kyra-”
“Oh my god, Y/N! What the heck happened, I heard you shout and then the line went dead! Are you okay? Did something happen? Where are you?” She was speaking so loudly I had to hold the phone away from my ear a safe distance as she spouted one question after another at me without reprieve.
My rescuer across from me chuckled, overhearing my frantic friend. “I’m fine, someone tried to steal my stuff on my way to meet you. Luckily someone came along and helped me catch him, otherwise I’d have lost everything. But everything is okay now, we are-” I looked around and realized I have no idea where we were.
He seemed to catch on to my newest distress and whispered, “Tell them we are on the corner of Tufton and Bennett’s Yard.”
I nodded and mouthed a thank you, “ Tufton and Bennett’s Yard,” I repeated and she said she’d be here in a 10 minutes and to sit and wait before hanging up the phone.
I slouched on the wall of some building, letting myself relax. “Not to be repetitive or anything, but thank you.”
He just shook his head, “No need. You’re friend sounded pretty worried about you, it wouldn’t do well to let her stew in that worry longer than needed.”
“Yeah, it’s been a few years since we last saw each other. She’d be pretty upset if something bad happened before I could even move in,” I laughed, though it didn’t quite sound right even to my ears. “I’m Y/N, by the way,” I introduced and stuck my hand out.
He took it and gave a firm shake, “Tom. It’s a pleasure to meet you Y/N. Even in these less than optimal circumstances.”
“The pleasure is mine, I assure you.”
“Y/N!” Someone yelled, and we both turned our heads to see Kyra sprinting full speed around her car and at me. I stood and braced myself for the collision of her, and fell back against the wall with the force of her body.
“Holy shit, girl! You scared the hell outta me, you could have died! This is why I told you to call me when you first got into town, you always manage to get yourself into trouble like this. What would I have told your parents if something happened, huh? Huh!?”
I grinned and pulled back to get a proper look at her. Her black hair, normally frizzy was sticking out in every direction and her honeyed eyes wide as she scanned me over, running her hands over my arms for injuries. “I’m fine, Kyra. I’m sorry I didn’t call sooner, you’re right.”
“I know I’m right!” She shot back with a glare, “That doesn’t make me feel any better!”
“Well, there is a first for everything after all.”
Tom laughed hard at our back and forth, making us both jump a little and look down at him. Before I could even say anything, Kyra was down on his level with the thieves shirt in her fists and a scowl that would scare the devil himself on her face.
“Is this the bastard that did this?”
“Let go!” I shrieked and pulled her off, albeit with a little effort. “Tom called the cops and they’ll deal with this properly. Not you,” I said sternly. She just let out a huff of a response and pushed herself back enough to look at Tom properly.
She gave him a once over and held her scowl in place, “So you’re the one who saved Y/N/N?”
He gave a small, hesitant nod and gave me a nervous glance. I just laughed and stood back up, as Kyra launched forward to give him a hug. “Thank you,” she murmured a few times and pulled back.
“No worries,” he said, and looked far less distressed now that Kyra didn’t look like she wanted to gut him. “I was there at the right time is all.”
“Yes, well- That doesn’t mean what you did was anything less than amazing. My whole life is in that bag and in that phone at the moment. Seriously, if there is anything I can do for you in return it’s yours. Ice cream, some roller skates, a kidney. Just ask.”
Everyone laughed at that and he nodded with an obviously sarcastic “sure”, just as the police arrived to take the culprit and our statements. Kyra mumbled something about them being slow and went to the car for a few minutes to be out of the way.
15 minutes later, everything was settled and they took the man away. Leaving Tom and I alone on the side walk again while I settled everything in my case to be sure I didn’t miss anything and quickly scribbled on a stray notecard.
“I meant it when I said I owe you one,” I said and handed the card with my name and number to him. “Just give me a ring if I can ever be of any help at all and I’ll come running. Though, probably much slower than you did.”
He tried to decline the offer only once, but after some persistence he took it with another smile, “Thank you, Y/N. Hopefully this will not be our last meeting. And hopefully never again under such pressing circumstances,” he held out his hand, and I took it, returning his earlier shake with a firm one of my own and I agreed.
“Until next time then,” he said and left.
I barely was able to take my seat in the car before Kyra grasped my arm with a devious smile, “Y/N/N- Did you just give that guy your number?” My silence was answer enough and she laughed, “Girl! No way!”
No way was right, I thought with a small smile of my own as we pulled away and started home.

Together We're Toxic
Billy Russo x Reader (you)
I wrote this for another fandom and I kept thinking how fitting it would be for Billy. So, I did some editing. *grin* Hope you like. Definitely explicit.
Billy Russo was not a man to be reckoned with. One would have thought that out of all people, you would know that. But then, you were no longer his girlfriend. You were his ex - a fact that he was not at all pleased about and planned to fix.
Tonight.
The club was hot, the music pumping. He could feel it through his body, an incessant beat. The club was dark even with the random mix of colored lights, and it smelled of sweat and perfume.
It felt like impending sex.
Some were going to get laid tonight. Some were hoping to. If all went according to plan, he definitely would be.
His eyes narrowed in on his target. On you. You were with a friend who wasn’t a fan of his all the time, and you had your hands clasped above your heads as bodies moved to the beat.
You and your friend were attracting attention from the men in the crowd, which was the point, and it pissed Billy off to know that this was probably what you did all those nights you wanted to go out with friends and “let off some steam.”
The sharks were circling closer and Billy’s jaw clenched as he took in the men whose faces he’d have to break later for staring at his woman with lust written all over their faces.
You were stunning, so it wasn’t like he could blame them. All that shiny hair that flowed down your back - he liked to wrap it around his hand when he fucked you from behind. And those eyes - they could look so wide and innocent, and then turn black as night when you made it clear you wanted him.
And your lips, those lips you painted red. You left streaks of it on his cock when you sucked it.
Your smile, fuck, your smile and your laugh, and the way you spoke so intelligently about everything. You were so fucking smart and he felt so fucking dumb next to you sometimes.
There was that little bit of Billy that worried you had partly broken up with him because of it. But he knew other things - things like how to change your oil, put in new brakes, and how to beat a man bloody for touching you.
Once, some asshole had groped your ass on the subway and he’d knocked the guy straight out. You’d blown him good and proper after that. He went nearly cross-eyed just thinking about how it felt when you took him down your throat.
Finally, you and your friend took a break from your frenetic dancing and one bold shark inched his way close to you. Billy held back from charging over and punching him dead in the face.
No one touched what was his. No one.
It was that sort of thing that you said was one of the reasons you broke up with him, and Billy had a funny feeling that your friends had something to do with that. You sure didn’t seem to mind when he got, as you put it, “growly and possessive”. And what really burned him is that you would get just as “growly and possessive” right back.
When an ex made contact with him to ask if he still had her hatchet, he’d ended up exchanging a few texts with her about how things were going. When you saw the text come through on his phone you’d simply grabbed your purse and walked out the door, claiming you were going for a ride. You didn’t return for three days and he had no idea where the fuck you went. When you returned you hugged him like no time had passed and nothing had happened. Then you whispered in his ear, “If you talk to her again I won’t come back next time.”
But then, was that worse than when he witnessed you smiling and laughing with someone you had dubbed your “work husband”, and he’d ended up locking you in the bedroom that night for two hours and not letting you leave?
Apparently, it was.
What about the time you slashed one of his tires when one of his (female) customers from Anvil asked for his number?
No one pointed fingers at you, but when he went a little mental and tossed your phone in the toilet, everyone was all up in arms.
Your twisted relationship was your business, and it wasn’t like Billy didn’t know it was twisted. You both were. You knew it, too. You were both passionate and fiercely in love with each other.
He knew you loved him. He knew that. It was in the little things you did - cuddling up to him on the couch, making him dinner (when you had the time), and trimming his hair and beard for him. You also held him and loved him when he needed you the most. And he always, always needed you.
And he took care of you. He changed your oil when it needed it, rubbed your feet at night and listened when you complained about work. He offered to take a few co-workers out for you, which always made you laugh even though he was only half-joking about that.
You were both better together than apart. There was only one woman for him on this godforsaken planet and that was you. And there wasn’t another him that could give you what you needed. He felt a smirk tug at the corner of his mouth. Little freak that you were.
You and your friend shooed the men away and headed for the bar, giggling together. While you and your friend planted yourself on one side of the freestanding bar, Billy made his way to the other side. He made room for himself, much to the annoyance of the guy beside him.
“Hey!” the guy protested when some of his drink spilled over the side from Billy hitting it with his elbow.
Billy just looked at him in the way you claimed could make grown men “piddle on the rug.” The guy certainly appeared as if he just might. He picked up his drink and walked off quickly.
Then, Billy leaned on the bar, elbows on top and stared at you, willing you to look his way. It was your friend who saw him first. She made a face and nudged you, pointing at him.
When you looked his way, your mouth fell open and you met his gaze. When the shock wore off, he caught the hint of something in your eyes. Something he knew quite well from having spent almost two years with you: excitement.
You covered it quickly with a look of annoyance and said something to your friend that made her frown, but then your friend nodded and you started around the bar.
Feeling pretty victorious, Billy pushed away from the bar and smirked at your friend who glared at him. Good, let her be pissed. You could no more stay away from him than he could stay away from you.
He moved away from the bar and inched toward the hallway where the bathroom and the back entrance was located. He had a plan after all.
You stormed up to him, fire blazing in your eyes. “What are you doing here?”
“What do you think I’m doing here?” he drawled. “You didn’t think I’d let this breakup stand, did you?”
“You didn’t fight me when I ended it.”
Was it his imagination or did you sound upset about that?
“You changed the locks and put all my shit out on the lawn. You also called Frank for backup. What was I supposed to do?”
“Just...go.” Now you sounded sad. Defeated. “Leave me alone, Billy. It’s over.”
He grabbed your arm. “No.”
You yanked your arm from his grip. “Don’t manhandle me.”
“Come outside with me,” he said, changing tactics. He fully intended to manhandle you and though you might protest at first, he knew what a little freak you were and what got you hot. You’d be putty in his hands in no time. But for now, you needed to act like you didn’t want him there. Maybe you even had yourself partly convinced of that. Billy knew better though.
“Why should I? What for?” you asked.
“Just to talk. I think I deserve a conversation that doesn’t involve Frank, don’t you think?”
You pursed her lips together and studied him with suspicious eyes. He didn’t move. Just waited. Finally, you sighed. “Fine. Let me tell Friends Name.”
He nodded, smiling inwardly and pointed to the hall. “I’ll be waiting for you right there.”
“Fine, Billy.”
“And don’t think about ditching me,” He warned you. “I will find you.”
Your lips parted and you turned on heel quickly and stalked off. Oh, you wanted this. He knew it.
Five minutes later, you were outside in the cool air and you shivered and wrapped your arms around yourself. It was your fault for wearing a sleeveless top - his favorite one, too. Red and low cut, it was gorgeous on you and easy to get off.
“Why don’t we sit in the car so you’re not cold,” he suggested, pointing to his black Porsche behind you.
You turned, dropping your arms, and he grabbed the handcuffs in his jacket pocket and hurriedly cuffed one wrist. You started to turn back, looking down at your wrist. “Hey--”
But he had you cuffed before you could finish that sentence.
“Billy!” you exclaimed. “What are you dozing?”
“I told you I wouldn’t let this stand. You’re mine.”
Your eyes widened and you made to run.
You didn’t get far. Billy was on you quick enough and managed to wrap both arms around you from behind. With your wrists cuffed in the front, you couldn’t move in the bear hug he was giving you.
“You’re hurting me!”
Doubtful. “We can do this the hard way or the easy way,” he muttered in your ear. “You either come with me or I use the chloroform I have in my pocket.” It was a lie; he didn’t have any.
“How the hell did you get--”
“Hard way or easy way?”
“I hate you,” you hissed.
“No, you don’t. I’ll prove it.”
“I could scream,” you snarled.
“No one would hear you over that music.”
He pushed you to his car gently, wrapping one hand around your forearm lest you get any ideas about running off.
You cursed him the whole way and Billy just smiled. He opened the backdoor of his car once they reached it. “Lay down.”
“Why do I have to lay down?”
He gestured to the rope you’d not yet seen on the floor of the car. You cursed him again and got in. “Don’t even think of kicking me either,” he told you. “Or the chloroform comes out. Heard it gives one a nasty headache. Plus, who knows what I’d do to you all tied up.”
“You’re disgusting and you’re going to pay for this,” you snapped.
He licked his lips. “I certainly hope so.”
You laid down on your side with some help and when he was sure you were comfortable - because he didn’t want you hurt after all...well, not much anyway. He tied up your ankles with the rope while you glared at him mutinously.
With a triumphant smirk, he moved your feet out of the way of the door and shut it. He then climbed in the car and started it up.
“My friends will look for me, ya know,” you said.
“They won’t find you.”
“Where are you taking me?” you demanded.
“To the cabin.”
“Fuck,” you muttered.
He grinned as he pulled out of the club parking lot. “That’s right. The cabin in the middle of the woods where you can scream all you want and no one will hear you.”
“You’re an asshole.”
“Yeah,” he drawled, “But you love me anyway.”
You fell silent and Billy smiled. Your silence said it all; you did still love him.
It was a forty-five minute drive to the cabin and after letting you sulk for a while, he finally asked, “Why did you do it?”
“Why did I do what?” you asked innocently.
“You know what,” he growled.
You sighed. “I’m handcuffed and I’ve got ropes around my ankles. Do you really have to ask? Do you think this is normal?”
“It’s our normal,” he said with a shrug.
“Maybe I don’t want it to be.”
“Or maybe you’re too busy listening to your friends tell you how our relationship should be.” He took his eyes off the road to turn and look down at you. You looked almost pitiful on the seat looking up at him and he had a moment’s regret. Just a moment though.
He looked back at the road. “You get off on our games.”
“Is that what we’re calling them? Games?”
“What would you call it?”
“Unhealthy. Twisted.”
He laughed. “Oh, You. You’ll never not be twisted. And I’m the only one who can match all that fire inside you.”
“Maybe I don’t want that anymore. Maybe I want normal. Maybe I want someone like Frank who--”
“Don’t mention his fucking name to me,” he growled. “He’d bore you in a week. We’re here.”
One of your friends had tried to introduce you to a “nice boy” who wore Dockers and white tennis shoes and actually played tennis, and You had kept it from him until he’d overheard you talking to that friend on the porch one night. When he’d confronted you about it, you’d hedged until he threatened to ask your friend himself. You’d told him, and in retaliation he’d dragged you into the house and tied you to the bed and proceeded to make you come and come and come until you begged for him to stop.
You had clung to him so sweetly, mewling in his ear. Screaming. Telling him again and again how you loved him and only him.
He cut the engine and stepped out of the car. He made his way around to the back and you sat up and he maneuvered you out and over his shoulder. The wind blew, causing your black skirt to blow over your ass and he slapped it. “That’s my ass,” he told you. “Remember that.”
The cabin was his. A place he had built with his bare hands. A place for him to seek refuge from the world when he needed it. Then when he had met you, it had become yours and his. Long weekends were spent here when you both felt the need to get away, just hiking, making love, and doing domestic things that he wasn’t very used to doing, but rather...enjoyed?
You could both be normal. You were both “normal” more than you weren’t so he didn't know what the fuck you were on about. Sure you both had your moments, but it wasn’t always like that.
The cabin had three rooms - the living room and kitchen rolled into each other, and then there was the bedroom off the kitchen, and a bathroom attached to the bedroom.
Billy stepped inside to the kitchen and carted you over against the far wall and placed you down on the lumpy couch with the maroon sofa covering. You fell to the side and then righted yourself and glared up at him.
“You gonna run if I let you loose?” he asked.
God, he hoped you did. He wanted to chase you down, throw you on the ground and fuck you in the open air. His dick was hard just thinking about it. You glanced down quickly at his crotch and then back up at him. You looked angry, but he caught the twinkle there. “What do you think?” you asked.
Okay, so, you needed to warm up a bit first. Work up to it. He was game.
“I think we still got wine in the fridge from last time we were here,” he said. “You want some?”
“You gonna roofie me?”
“No, of course not.”
“I mean, you did threaten to chloroform me--”
“And you know as well as I do that I wouldn’t. Even if i did have it, which I don’t.” He did though. Somewhere. Just not on him.
You lifted your chin. “What’s your plan then? Keep me cuffed and bound all weekend?”
“Well, that all depends on you.”
You tilted your head to the side. “Oh?”
“Yeah, all depends on how long it takes you to get your head out of your ass and realize you belong with me.”
“I don’t--”
He bent down and placed his hand at the back of your neck and drew your face to his. He kissed you deeply, wanting you to just shut up.
You didn’t kiss him back at first, but then he felt you melt by degrees. You moaned and Billy went down to his knees, filling his hands with your face as he kissed you. “Stop fighting me,” he muttered against your mouth. “You love me.”
“Billy--”
“Say it, You. Say you love me.”
Your eyes welled up in tears. “I do,” you croaked. “I love you.”
“Say you’re mine.”
You sniffled. “I’m yours.”
He kissed you again and you swayed into him, pressing your chest against him. “Billy,” you muttered. “Let me go. I can’t touch you like this.”
He fumbled, panting, for the key to the handcuffs. He managed to fish it out of his jeans and with shaking hands undid the cuffs. Then he fumbled with the rope, and with your help you were free. He pulled you to her feet with him and kissed you. “I need you,” he gasped. “I need inside you.”
You stepped back a few feet, smiling, and whipped off your top. You threw it at him and it hit him right in the face.
You used that distraction to rush right past him and out the door.
He roared, his dick pressing hard against his jeans. Game. On.
You didn’t get far. Just by the car. You were on the other side of it when he approached and when he went to the right, you went to the left. You both stopped. Stared at each other.
“You’re a little brat,” he told her. “I should take you over my knee.”
“Don’t you wish you could?” you taunted him and jetted to the right. He ran around the car, and you squealed and ran off to the woods. He was smiling, beaming really. This was just what he’d expected and you’d almost had him; he’d almost thought you were just going to capitulate without any game this time, but he should have known better. You were always up for a good game.
You were like a sprite running through the woods and Billy kept his gaze steady on you, while mindful of where he was stepping so as not to trip. He finally managed to graze your arm by a thick oak tree and you squealed again and darted around it.
He could hear your breathing from the other side and he forced himself to go still and quiet. Then you did as well. He waited.
The wind blew, a cool breeze that rustled the leaves and branches. Animals deep in the forest made noise, reminding you they were there. The moon was nearly full and cast light down through the trees. The clouds in the sky were moving quickly by and stars twinkled above them.
He was harder than he’d ever been and he swore he could smell your heat from where he stood on the other side of the blasted tree.
You popped her head out and said, “Boo!” and then made to run off. This time, you wouldn’t get far. He was on you quickly enough and you let out a playful scream as he managed to catch you and push you against another tree. You winced and he pulled you away from it.
“You hurt?” he asked, panting.
“I don’t think so,” you said breathlessly.
He spun you around to check. Just a little red where the bark touched your bare skin. He bent his head and pressed a kiss to one red mark, then another and another and you melted yet again into him.
He went down to his knees and forced you down with him. He pushed you and you planted your hands on the ground.
“You gonna to act like a bitch, I’m gonna to fuck you like one,” he grunted.
“Oh, God, yes,” you breathed.
He pushed your skirt up over your backside and tore your panties from your body.
“Billy,” you moaned.
He wrestled with the snap of his jeans and the zipper and then he shoved them and his boxers down and spit in his hand. He stroked himself and then used two fingers to check just how wet you were.
You were soaked. Just as he thought you would be. He fucked you with his fingers until you screamed and then he pulled his fingers out and slammed his cock inside you.
“Fuck! Yes!” you screamed.
He licked your wetness from his fingers and then slapped your ass hard. You cried out and he gripped your hips, knowing he’d leave fingerprints, knowing you’d love to see them in the morning.
“Come for me again, you little bitch,” he rumbled. “I want you dripping all over me.”
He reached out and wrapped his hand around your hair and yanked your head back. “Fuck me back,” he ordered.
You did, grunting and moaning.
“Fuck me harder, asshole!” you shouted.
He did, bottoming out inside you, bumping right against your cervix.
You screamed and your walls pulsed around him, milking him. He let go with a roar, unable to hold on. You’d had him aching for you the minute he’d stepped into that fucking club and saw you.
Billy slumped over her and pressed a weak kiss in between your shoulder blades. “I love you,” he gasped. “Fucking hell, I love you so much.”
“I love you,” you said, breathless.
Billy pulled out of you with a groan and did himself back up. He got to his feet while you staggered to yours. He drew you into his arms and kissed you hard.
You kissed him back just as hard and hand-in-hand you walked back to the cabin. You showered together, laughing softly, and caressing each other gently. Billy took you to bed after and he made love to you slowly, sweetly, until you cried out softly. He held you wrapped close in his arms as you began to doze off.
“Mine again?” he asked softly.
“I always have been,” you murmured. “And I always will be.”
Satisfied, Billy drifted off into a sound sleep.
And when he woke up in the morning, he found you gone…
And himself handcuffed to the bed.
***I know it would not fit for Billy to not wake up to getting handcuffed, but just go with it. It's needed for the second part.

summary: a chance encounter puts Fiona Tanner in the sights of the Cullen family. Emmett takes an immediate liking to her, but Edward thinks she's a threat to the family. No Emmett x Rosalie. warnings: kidnapping, ooc behaviour? words: 4kish
FIONA TANNER SEATTLE, DAY 1
From the moment her boots hit the cement on the busy Seattle sidewalk, the search was on. Holding tightly to the handle of her suitcase she tried to get her bearings. Fiona Tanner’s sister had been missing for months. The cops had nothing, and they weren’t taking any of Fiona’s advice.
“Let us do our jobs, ma’am. We’ll find your sister…” had not so slowly turned into “we can’t find someone that doesn’t want to be found.” Insinuating that her sister had run away with some boy, over the fact that the cops simply hadn’t done a good enough job. Bree was a troubled kid, who left home in a hurry before she’d turned fifteen. But she always stayed in contact with Fiona. Little messages from burner phones to let her sister know that she was okay.
A person could only drag their sister back just to watch her run away again so many times before they needed an alternative solution.
Like she was going to just sit around and hope that they were right. She was an extra set of eyes and ears. There was nothing that could stand between her, and finding her sister. At the very least she was going to get the truth.
Besides, she knew for a fact that her sister was dead.
The bus dropped Fiona off in front of an old diner. It looked out of place next to two modern buildings, but the charm of it drew her in. The ladies inside were friendly, offering her a table and some coffee. She ordered a burger with fries and a root beer. While the waitress withdrew to the kitchen, Fiona pulled out a map of the city that she had started using as her guide to remember everything. The map and a small notebook she’d bought at the dollar store.
The map had a small blue X over a bookstore just a few blocks over, which was her first stop after getting some lunch. Now seemed like the best time to take stock of everything she knew so far.
Bree’s friends had no idea where she was. But they weren’t the brightest bunch, and not really the trustworthy type either.
Another boy from the area had gone missing recently as well. Riley Biers, last seen in May, 2010. He went missing near Pike Place Market.
Bree wouldn’t ever just run away with someone without telling her. She was in trouble.
And that was it. That was all Fiona knew.
But the family couldn’t just move on. Bree had looked exactly like Fiona did at her age. It became a curse when her own parents would struggle to look into her eyes, preferring to stare into their glass whenever she entered the room. It was like that a year ago, but when she had to tell her parents that she’d been talking to Bree, and hadn’t told them…
Being away from them wasn’t the worst thing right now.
It wasn’t something she wanted to think about at that moment. Her concentration needed to be on her investigation.
“Here ya go,” the waitress said, setting down the plate of food. Fiona smiled, and slid her map out of the way. She was starving.
She picked up a fry and brought it to her mouth, but suddenly felt… wrong. There was a weird feeling in her mind. Like someone was watching. No, not watching. Listening.
Then clear as day she heard it. This tiny little nagging voice that had started harassing her a few weeks ago. It sounded just like her sister, except this voice was deeper, raspy like she was dying of thirst.
Run, Fiona.
She put the fry back and grabbed a twenty from her wallet, strolling up to the counter to pay and get a to go container. Fiona kept her cool, but kept her defences up.
Don’t think about me.
Fiona looked around the diner. There were two teens taking pictures of their milkshakes and giggling. Then there was a couple. A girl and an Abercrombie model. Only one plate of food between them.
As if on cue, the boy picked up one of her fries and put it in his mouth. But Fiona didn’t miss the confused look on the girls’ face when he did it. He whispered something under his breath that made the girl look down, her hair making a waterfall to block out her face. But it didn’t matter, Fiona had his face painted in her memories.
I said, run!
The voice was annoying. But the scary thing to Fiona, was that she could hear dead people. Kind of like a medium, but she suppressed it. Pushed it down, down, down until it was suffocated. Bree, however, always knew how to get under Fiona’s skin.
Please, Fiona thought, just tell me what happened.
I told you, it’s not safe. Go home!
“Lady?” said the waitress, holding out the change to her. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” Fiona said, putting her phoney smile back on. “Sorry, keep the change.” She took her to go box to the table and threw the fries in it, and everything else she owned back in her bag. She flipped it over one shoulder gracefully and grabbed her burger, taking a big bite of it. She looked back at the couple, but caught his narrowed eyes staring at her.
He was the one listening. She tried to immediately cover her thoughts by thinking the alphabet as loud as possible, but she could read from the look on his face that it was too late.
You’re going to get hurt. Bree had been fighting Fiona every step of the way. Putting fake clues in her mind, trying to push out clues that were helpful…
It was annoying.
C’mon Bree, Fiona thought. Gimme a clue.
How about a hint?
Yes, Bree! Please give me a hint.
Okay, go home. That’s your hint. Goodnight.
Goodnight, yourself. It’s not even dark out.
FIONA TANNER SEATTLE, DAY 2
Wake up!! Bree was shouting. It was frantic, unlike anything Fiona had ever heard before. Please, Fiona, please, wake up!! Someone is in the bathroom!
In a second, all of the grogginess was wiped away. Fiona sat up quickly, pulling the blankets to her chest. She had triple, quadruple checked that the door was locked before bed. And she could see that it was still locked now. How could someone have…
I think… they’re leaving.
How?? Fiona was starting to shake. There’s no window in there.
Then something in the air shifted. And the only reason she knew something was different was the tiny breeze she felt on her face, and the fact that the door wasn’t locked anymore.
Who was in here, Bree?
I’m not telling.
But you know?
No.
Liar.
Fiona rubbed her temples. Bree’s yelling had given her a headache. To make things worse, Bree was loudly singing, “go hoooooome” over and over. Fiona got up, changed out of her pyjamas into jeans and a white tee. And pulled her boots on. She has at the edge of the bed for a minute, her head in her hands as she took some deep breaths.
Fiona looked out the window, and noticed something bizarre. There was a girl, standing stiff as a board. And Bree went radio silent.
Know that girl?
When Bree didn’t answer, Fiona dropped down, hiding herself out of view. Holy shit! Do you actually know that girl?
Fiona was getting tired of this. If Bree wasn’t going to talk, someone else was going to. With reckless abandon, she threw open the door and stomped across the parking lot, not really caring that this girl was starring at her.
“Do you know Bree Tanner?” Fiona asked loudly, before she was even close to the girl.
Shut up! Shut up! You have no idea what you’re starting!
“Excuse me?” said the girl. She was impossibly beautiful. The kind of beautiful that wasn’t even fair for the rest of the world.
“My sister is Bree Tanner, and I think she knows you.”
“And how could you know that?”
“She told me.”
“I doubt that.”
“Why? Because she’s dead?”
The girl shut up after that. Fiona was getting sick and tired of no one answering her questions. She knew she was playing with fire, but she didn’t care. If this girl was some drug dealer who got Bree killed, she was going to find out. And she wanted to find out today, right now.
“I don’t care what shit you’re in with the police, I just want to know what happened to her.”
Shut. Up! Or you’ll be dead like me.
The girl didn’t speak again. “Do you know the boy who listens?”
The next five seconds went faster than she could have possibly believed. She was suddenly in complete darkness. With all her belongings beside her. In a small, tight space. Where was she? What happened.
You’re in a TRUNK, dumbass, you just got kidnapped.
Well that, was bad news for Fiona. She wanted to scream but her mouth was covered. She wanted to fight but her hands were tied. How did that happen? How did she miss her own kidnapping?
The boy who could listen was here. Probably in the car. She could feel him in there.
“How could she know this much?” The beautiful girl asked. Fiona had no idea why, but she could hear them in her head. In her mind.
“Be quiet,” he said sharply.
Silence.
“She can hear us,” he said. “I can’t… I can’t look in her mind, I’m just hearing my words echoed back, louder than her thoughts. I think she’s burying them.”
Instead of burying them, she turned it around. Played it loud like shouting into a megaphone. Did you do this to Bree, too? And then she projected Bree’s image. She closed her eyes and tried to push every detail of her sister’s face into his mind. But, he edited it. Saw it the way he saw it, with bright red eyes. She felt the car swerve violently and she cracked her arm as she rolled onto it. It hurt so badly. She hoped it wasn’t broken but the way her fingers stopped responding to her made her worried.
“Knock it off!” he shouted.
“What?” His passenger asked. Don’t be rude, she thought.
Not you, Rosalie. Did the listening boy think that?
It was getting too confusing for her to keep all these voices straight. Rosalie was sitting with the boy who listens. She didn’t know his name. It made no sense, how could she hear them? She could only ever hear the dead, but this wasn’t the same. Bree sounded like she was in the middle of Fiona’s brain, but the other two… they sounded like Fiona was listening to them from a couple feet away. They were on the outside, and Bree was on the inside.
Please, Bree begged, I don’t know how to help you now.
It didn’t matter. Fiona passed out.
EMMETT CULLEN FORKS, DAY 1
Emmett hated when the family went into crisis mode. Jasper didn’t want to play chess because he was too busy fretting over Alice. Edward was having four panic attacks a day thinking that these “loose ends” were going to get Bella killed. And Carlisle and Esme were making Plan B arrangements in case they had to move, which is what everyone kept saying. No one was brave enough to say in case we have to kill her.
He heard Edward and Rosalie driving over the speed limit. Faster than ever, maybe. And he was excited to at least see some kind of action around here. Ever since he got to the house everyone has treated him like he’s stupid. Which he was not.
“Jasper!” Emmett called, beaming up the stairs. “They’re coming!”
“Yes, thank you Emmett. I hear them too.” Jasper spoke normally. Knowing Emmett could hear him through the walls.
Edward skidded his car to a quick stop in front of the house. Emmett happily joined Carlisle and Esme on the front lawn. They had all agreed to greet their guest and try to explain things as civilly as possible. Edward and Rosalie were supposed to go get her, invite her on a tour around town and then invite her for a dinner. Emmett was excited to make a friend, and also excited to watch his family force down a pizza. They all got so miserable after eating human food.
“Oh dear,” Esme said.
Emmett didn’t understand what the big deal was. Edward was out of the car, talking to Bella on the phone. The wedding was still a ways away, this was only supposed to be a minor inconvenience. Rosalie had run off into the woods before even greeting anyone. She hadn’t been coping well lately and hadn’t spent much time talking to anyone. Not that she was very friendly on a regular basis.
Only then did Emmett notice that the car door was open, but he could tell the heartbeat he heard and the blood he smelled was behind a wall of metal. She wasn’t in the backseat. They put her in the trunk?
Seemed a little rude.
The girl was bleeding back there too. Probably why Rosalie had to run. He couldn’t blame her, this girl smelled so good. She smelled like joy would taste.
“Pop the trunk!” Emmett said, laughing at Edward’s constipated expression.
“Emmett,” Carlisle whispered. His dad didn’t want to make a joke out of this. “Edward, please.”
Edward didn’t get off his phone call but clicked open the trunk with his keys. Emmett and Carlisle ran over to examine the damage.
As soon as Emmett saw her, he was smitten. Absolutely smitten. She was so pretty. The most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. Short black hair, round little face with the pinkest lips in the world. And they looked like they would be so fun to kiss. Emmett was aware his brother wasn’t answering Bella, and instead was staring at Emmett, but he didn’t care though. He could see the relation to Bree in her features, but she was definitely older.
“Her arm is broken,” he said. “I’ll bring her to my office and set it, and cast it.”
Esme coughed for a moment, briefly distracted by the pooling of blood in the trunk of Edward’s Volvo. “Need anything from your office, dear?”
Emmett could see the appreciation on Carlisle’s face. Emmett wanted love like these two had. Or like Alice and Jasper. Or Edward and Bella. Or Rosalie and her reflection. Carlisle gave her a short list of things he would need to cast her arm, he was only missing a few things that he had used before they came back to town.
Carlisle reached to pick her up, but Emmett swatted his hands away quickly. Not harshly, as it wasn’t meant to hurt Carlisle. But Emmett had to do it himself. He had to be the one to carry this girl. It didn’t matter what Edward wanted. No one was going to hurt her. Edward doesn’t get to always have everything his way.
“What’s her name again?” Emmett asked, his voice more gentle than they’s ever heard it as he gingerly picked her up.
“Fiona.” Carlisle watched Emmett’s every move.
“Fiona,” Emmett repeated quietly.
He didn’t want her to wake up, so he walked slowly through the house. Setting her down on the space Carlisle made on the desk. The blood didn’t bother Emmett for even a moment. He never even hesitated. He just brushed the hair off her face, and waited while Carlisle worked.
“You seem to have taken to this girl.”
“I just think she’s pretty,” Emmett said. “It’s not her fault about her sister. If one of us went missing, would you not stop at nothing to get us back?”
“You’re right about that.” Carlisle looked pained. “May I ask you something, Emmett?”
“Yeah, of course.” Emmett didn’t look up from the girl’s face, and instead dragged his fingers softly around the edge of her face. Maybe she would be his Bella.
Was it creepy to be thinking this before she had a chance to wake up and meet him? He can’t just claim her, only hope that she was as fascinated by him.
Edward came through the door before Carlisle could ask about what Emmett was thinking. Edward was clearly mad. Esme slipped in, giving Carlisle the things he asked for, but opted to slip out and remove herself from the blood. Emmett understood, Fiona smelled as tempting as a fresh apple pie.
“Why is she untied?” he asked, grabbed the abandoned tie off the ground. It was all he’d had to tie her up with at the time.
“Do you think she needs to be?” Carlisle asks.
“Yes, I do.” Edward crossed his arms. Emmett was getting irritated by the vibe in the room. It was bad vibes in here.
“No, Edward.” Carlisle kept working. “We don’t hold hostages.”
“You’re right, we should just kill her now,” he said, cooly. As if it wasn’t a person they were talking about. Carlisle paused, but continued.
Emmett stood up tall, puffing his chest out and blocking Edward’s view of Fiona.
“You’re not touching her,” he said.
“Are you going to stop me, Emmett?” Edward asked. “You don’t even know her.”
“I know that I’m not a danger to her,” he said. “And you are. So get out while Carlisle works.”
“You’ve lost your…” Edward trailed off, and dropped to his knees clutching his head. Emmett stooped down on one knee, immediately changing from being worried about this girl to worried about his brother. “It’s her.”
Fiona was stirring awake, Carlisle finishing and clearing himself just in time for her to start squirming.
“Oh my god, her thoughts - there’s so many…” Edward tried to clear a path, try to sort between her thoughts and the thoughts of others’ that lived in her mind. “They’re not hers.”
“STOP!” she shouted, sitting perfectly up. “My sister doesn’t know the truth, she’s no danger to the secret.”
“Fiona?” Carlisle asked. Everyone was totally stunned. The girl looked lifeless behind her eyes, like this wasn’t her but a cheap replication of her. Other than sitting up, her limbs were still and lifeless, no sign of pain or distress.
“Bree.”
“Bree?” Esme said, slipping in the door. “Bree is it really you?” Esme fluttered over, putting her hands on the girls’ face. She was close to tears. “I’m so sorry.” Esme had been feeling guilty over Bree everyday since it had happened.
“Esme,” Carlisle said softly. He didn’t want to silence his wife, but he didn’t know how much time they had to talk to her.
“She doesn’t know what really happened. You still have time to lie. Don’t kill her.”
“Don’t worry little buddy,” Emmett said. “No one is going to hurt Fiona.”
“Remains to be seen,” Edward muttered.
“No, it doesn’t.”
“Sounds like family meeting time,” Esme said. “I’ll go find the others.” She slipped outside the office.
“I don’t understand,” Fiona said, her eyes focused. Her voice settled. It was her now. There was life in her eyes, but also fear, and she touched the cast on her arm. Even her voice was beautiful. Is this how the dogs feel? Emmett had never felt stronger than right now. Emmett didn’t move towards her for fear of startling her, she was so small.
“She can’t stay up here alone,” Edward said.
“I trust Carlisle to speak for me,” Emmett said, looking at Fiona. She was frightened, but brave. Trying to establish her surroundings. “I’m not going to let you hurt her no matter what you say anyway.”
“You’re risking everything,” Edward said. “For someone you don’t even know.”
“Sound familiar?” Emmett asked, scoffing. “I always had your back, even when I didn’t get it.”
Edward flashed a look of guilt but shook it off. Emmett knew they couldn’t keep taking risks like this, but she wasn’t a risk, she was a person. As fast as he’s ever run, Emmett grabbed her things from the car, and dropped them right at her feet. She was shaking, clearly terrified.
“How did you do that?”
“Your phone is in there, I checked.” Emmett heard his family go silent. The conversation was a waste of time anyway, it was just Carlisle trying to convince Edward that there were more options than murder. “I won’t stop you from calling 911. We are the Cullens, you’re in Forks. I’ll even give you the number for Chief-”
“Emmett!” Rosalie yelled. But Emmett got to the door first. Holding it shut from Rosalie’s destructive fists. It cracked and splintered under her heavy hits. “If we have to start over you are so dead.”
FIONA TANNER FORKS, DAY 1
Fiona was crying now. Confused by all the thoughts in her head. She could hear the whole family. Pieces of the conversation downstairs. She could hear the listener getting mad. He didn’t like his own thoughts being repeated back to him but she couldn’t help that. There was also the typical voices that she usually had buried, but coming out of whatever happened to her allowed them to flood in. People screaming in pain, or begging for help, or just taunting her for the fun of it. What did the boy who listens make of her?
“I’m not calling the police,” she whispered. “I just want to know what happened to Bree.”
Rosalie stopped busting the door at Carlisle’s request. But each of her exaggerated stomps could be heard as she left the house. She turned on music in the garage and started fussing with her cars. Emmett just looked at her, welcoming her to make the first move.
“You’re Emmett?”
“Yes.” For his huge stature, he seemed so kind and timid to her. She could hear him thinking about her. And it was so, so flattering.
“Are you dead?”
“Yes.”
“Then how are you alive?”
“I don’t know if I should answer that right now,” he said. “Let’s skip for now.”
“Was Bree dead?”
“I thought you already knew she was dead.” Emmett looked down. “I’m really sorry about that.”
“I meant… uhm… when you met her, for the first time, was she already dead?”
“Yes.”
“Explains why I can hear you twice.” She needed a minute to process all of this. How was she supposed to process all of this?
“Can you hear me think?” He asked.
“Yes.”
“Oh,” he said, lowering his head. “That’s kind of embarrassing.”
Fiona smiled, and chuckled. Which made Emmett smile and chuckle. It was quiet in the room for a minute. Fiona tried to sort out her thoughts and Emmett watched her.
“I really don’t want to cause any trouble for your family,” she said. “Can you just tell me what happened to my sister?”
“No one here hurt her,” Emmett said. “We were trying to save her but there are some people who just… get their way.”
“Why did they want to hurt her?”
“Can I skip?” he asked.
She nodded lightly. His vague answers were disappointing but he seemed genuine, and it was probably a “the less you know the better” kind of deal around here. Maybe she should’ve listened to Bree.
You think? Bree thought. She sounded weak after taking control of of Fiona.
“Am I going to die, Emmett?” she asked, her voice wavering.
“No, I’ve got you now. You’ll be safe with me.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”

* When he spotted you, everyone was completely intimidated by you. I mean everyone, including Mina and you know that’s something.
* So, who broke the barrier and asked you a random question?
* Tsu’s bold-self, she walked over and simply asked where did you get your shoes from because she took notice of the limited edition brand you were wearing.
* How do you respond?
* Doing an epic fucking pose and giving a show dropping thank you as she stares in complete confusion as Mina screeches as loud as she can. That boils a friendship THAT SHOULDVE FUCKING HAPPENED!
* As much as he hates to admit it, he loves how random and chaotic you are. He loves how you can make even him laugh at how you are.
* It keeps a smile on his face though he doesn’t want to have it often. To him, it adds spice to the relationship you two have.
* He loves that every time he comes home, you’re doing the most random of shit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katsuki walked into the home, groaning as he walked towards the hallway, before freezing. He paused and turned towards the open door in his office as he flickered the lights on.
You slowly turned to face him with the cat in your lap as you smirked. “Welcome...To my evil lair.” You said while smirking as he stared at you in pure disarray.
“SINCE WHEN IN THE FUCK DOD WE GET A FUCKING CAT?!” He yelled as you smiled.
“I adopted one..and a dog..” you replied. “But the Pomeranian doesn’t seem to like his new feline friend, Mr. Snuggles.” You added, kissing the kitten as it meowed.
Katsuki sighed and held his nose. “Where is it?” he asked as he started looking around for an animal.
“I’m looking at him.”
* This is a match made in fucking heaven.
* He didn’t even care how intimidating you were, when you pulled out your phone case and he spotted something even he likes.
* He’s zapping to you and that’s that.
* You guys are called ‘The Chaotic Duo’. Mina, Ochako, Momo, and even Toru and Tsu loves you and how random you can be.
* You two together can make a simple trip to the store a ride to remember.
* The last adventure you two had, ended in you two being kicked out because he decided to charge all the fucking appliances in the Walmart technology.
* THAT WAS A BAD IDEA FROM THE BEGINNING.
* Let's just say..he fried the power..and even the backup generator they had.
* Best night ever.
“Babe! Have you seen m-“ Denki stopped his sentence as he saw you, standing at the entrance of the hallway? You were dressed perfectly in an Ash costume. You held up a poké-ball and tossed it at him.
The ball slapped him against the chest as he looked at it while it sat on the floor. “Pikachu! I choose you!” You said as he looked at you with a dorky smile on his face.
“Pika Pika!” He responded, running towards you while you squealed, bursting into a fit of laughter as he tackled you to the ground.
* I see Shinso as a vibe guy, he’s extremely observant, unlike others. He doesn't go by personality but by how you are as a person, what type of energy you present. Though you wore a straight face, he knew that wasn’t the case.
* So, he already knows how weird you were though everyone else was still trying to find out more about you.
* He broke the ice himself and simply sat beside you, starting a simple conversation that became an awesome one. No one will know how a simple conversationwent from what’s your favorite color to how cats you owned and the werid shit they did at night.
* When you two started dating, everyone was shocked because after finally seeing the real you, they would’ve never expected him to be happy with a soul like you.
* He laughs at your jokes, might even do a few things with you, but he'd have to brainwash a few people so you guys can get off clean.
* He genuinely loves everything about that chaotic side to you to a T. You make his darkest nightmares to a beautiful dream.
* Your jokes make his day every single time, ignoring every comment that the world brings into him. You’re there to make it better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Kitten? Kitten? Where are you?” Shinso asked, looking around the empty apartment which was strange because you were babysitting Eri.
He walked around in confusion before he heard a giggle, making him pause. He looked up before walking out to the roof of the apartment building.
Eri and you sat side by side in a giant beanbag, holding your hands over when portable fire pit. “Let’s gather around the Campfire and sing our campfore song. Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song, and if you don’t think we can sing it faster then you’re wrong, but it’ll help if you just sing along!” You and Eri sung together before breaking out into a loud sing-a-long with her.
Hitoshi couldn’t help but laugh softly, watching you with her before he walked over to you two. When he sat down, you snatched her up and screamed.
“AHH, IT’S A SEA BEAR!”
————————————————————————
Touya Todoroki (Dabi.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Another man who already knew you before anyone else.
* Dabi’s very observant, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that. He doesn’t watch you like a hawk but when you joined the LOV.
* You made Shigaraki laugh, that’s a fucking miracle in itself.
* Toga, Twice and others loved you, especially Twice. You made both sides of him laugh until tears rolled down his cheeks.
* When you two are together, it’s more of a cat and mouse relationship. He follows and watches you, he may join you during your random or weird moments but it’s not his type of thing.
* You and Toga, on the other hand, are amazing. You two do the craziest of things, like Harley and Poison Ivy.
* You’re his star in the dark sky in his heart and he loves you for that. You shine so brightly, it blinds him sometimes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What the hell happened?” He asked, looking at you and Toga confused. Shigaraki looked just as confused as him. “And what the fuck are you wearing?” Shigaraki asked.
You were dressed in a sexy mouse costume and Toga was wearing a cat costume to match. “You told us to get into that party right?” You asked, looking at them.
You reached into your mouse ears and pulled out the papers, Shigaraki needed. He hesitated to take them but he pulled them away. “The...the party’s attire was formal..” Shigaraki spoke up, looking at you two confused as you took the mouse ears off your head.
“Yeah, but we would’ve been seen if we just wore formal attire. They had kids in there and a little brat gave me the papers I needed in exchange for Toga chasing me out of the party.” You said, smirking. Shigaraki snickered softly as Dabi smirked.
“When will it be my turn to chase you?”

Breaking Point
Edit: this was originally called ‘Wild Angst Oneshot’ as I couldn’t think of a name, but due to a great suggestion by Narutofan8762 on AO3, it’s now titled ‘Breaking Point’.
I was scrolling on tiktok and saw an acting video with an audio that was from Supergirl, basically yelling at someone who had abandoned her and my brain immediately went ‘Wild yelling at Hylia!’ So I had to try and write this, and then I turned it into a Linked Universe fic because I’m kinda obsessed.
Under the cut, because as usual, my oneshots tend to get pretty long, pretty quickly...
***
She was cold.
That was all he could think as his heart thundered in his chest. She was cold in his arms.
He had finally defeated Calamity Ganon and as the beast finally disappeared from the land that it had long tormented, she had appeared. Zelda was finally free.
He had been running towards her before he even realised and had pulled the princess into a hug with repeated apologies falling from his dry, cracked lips.
Zelda had wrapped her arms back around him and managed to speak into his ear before she went limp in his arms. He had let his body move down to the ground to keep her cradled in his arms, but it was too late.
As soon as he took her face in his hands, the light left her eyes and she breathed her last.
That was how he stayed for hours. In the middle of Hyrule Field, with the body of the woman he was supposed to protect as he cried and her final words repeated over and over in his mind.
“You have nothing to apologise for, Link. You saved us all”
***
Several hours later, found her body draped across his lap, with one of his hands gently holding the back of her head and the other wrapped around her back, while he rocked back and forth as he cried out his grief to the world. He had sat there and screaming and crying for hours over her body.
Then when morning came, he picked up Zelda’s body, called over his horse and began the long trek back to Kakariko Village.
***
Impa had been distressed to see the princess’ body, and it wasn’t helped by the state of Link’s injuries that he had neglected in his grief. A broken arm, 4 cracked ribs, scrapes, bruises, and a concussion.
Impa had insisted that he stay in Kakariko while he healed and the funeral was planned. The time seemed to go by in a blink and before he knew it, the day of the funeral arrived. In a strange turn from the blur of the past few days, the ceremony seemed to last longer than the hundred years he’d slept as Link watched the body of the one he swore protect be laid to rest.
Link was just thankful that the gravesite had been moved from the original plan to bury her near the remnants of the castle, but he couldn’t bear to lay her body to rest in the place where she’d been trapped for a hundred years. She was being buried by the pond atop Satori Mountain. Link had regained a memory of visiting it with Zelda and she’d been amazed by it, so he had brought up the idea of burying her there with Impa, who had agreed to his signing and changed the plans.
Once the ceremony had concluded, Impa had invited Link stay in Kakariko and after a while, he had surprisingly accepted the offer. However, Impa didn’t tell him that she was scared he may do something drastic and he did, just not in the way anyone expected.
He just stayed in the spare house he was staying in, seemingly okay with secluding himself away from the rest of the world. Thoughts of his failure and weakness became his only constant companion as he wouldn’t leave the house for anyone. No matter who came to see him, he wouldn’t answer and if someone journeyed inside, he wouldn’t reply to any questions. And the more they tried to help, the more he pulled away. Eventually, Impa had to ask everyone to keep monitoring him but to leave him alone, out of fear that he may run away and never been seen again if they pushed too much.
They still tried to help, but in little ways that included minimal interaction, if they even saw him. Food would be left outside the door for him and it would be eaten, but only just enough to keep himself alive. He would train and practice constantly during the day and the nights where he couldn’t sleep for fear of failing Hyrule again, often passing out in the middle of the floor sometimes for desperately needed rest.
And that was the way it stayed for six months. A constant cycle of self-loathing and punishing himself for not being good enough.
Until a gang of travelers had walked into Kakariko.
***
“We’ve been walking for ages.” Wind complained as he panted with his hands on his knees and he wasn’t the only one. The group had been walking for almost an entire day and still hadn’t found a settlement or village to rest at, and they’d found this Hyrule’s Beadle who had given them directions, but the group was questioning how accurate they were.
“Well Beadle said Kakariko was this way and he said it wasn’t far, but I think he was just trying to get rid of us before Sky bought all his bugs.” Warrior joked as he stood beside Sky, who elbowed him in the side.
“Come on, he said we should be there by midday if we were quick enough and then we can rest there.” Time chimed in from his place walking at the front of the ground. There were several groans but no more complaints as they continued walking.
It was around two hours later when they finally saw the entrance to this Hyrule’s version of Kakariko Village and upon seeing it, the groups let out several sighs of relief as they journeyed inside.
There were only a few people around the village from what Twilight could see. As he walked in, he spotted a man painting, a little girl sitting by a fire, another younger girl running around and some guards standing in front of a set of stairs that lead up to a building.
“Okay, we should ask later and see if we can find this Hyrule’s hero.” Twilight suggested as he turned around to face the rest of the group, who were all surveying the village as well.
“You’re looking for the hero?” A small voice came from behind him and as he turned, he saw the little girl that was running around a moment ago.
“Yeah, we are. Do you know where he is?” Wind asked the girl.
“Yes, but daddy says he’s ill so he never leaves the house.” The little girl answered before they heard another voice and a man came over to join them.
“I’m sorry sirs, I hope my daughter wasn’t being any trouble.” He said as he looked down lovingly at the girl.
“Oh no sir. She was just telling us where we could find someone that we are looking for.” Time replied.
“Well, perhaps I may be able to offer you some more assistance. Who are you looking for?” The man asked kindly.
“We’re looking for the hero, presumably goes by the name ‘Link’.” Legend spoke up and it was quite jarring to see how quickly the smile left the man’s face.
“You should all come with me.” The smile didn’t return.
***
They’d been herded into a house at the top of a long staircase after that and introduced to this Hyrule’s Impa. She had quickly filled them in on the situation as much as she could and it was a lot to take in.
The land had been decimated by this Hyrule’s Ganon and had suffered for a hundred years, until Link could finally defeat him. (she hadn’t told them about Wild’s death. That would be something for the boy to explain on his own terms. Impa tried to give him control over the very little that he had a say in. She wouldn’t take this explanation away from him too.)
They’d then been left alone in the room and were trying to think of how to approach this new Link when Legend spoke up.
“You heard how they talked about him! How are we supposed to break it to him? Huh, just dump it on him when these guys have said that he’s ill.” Legend snapped. “Hey, we’re all reincarnations of the hero and we’ve all defeated some kind of evil that has threatened our Hyrules. Now Hylia is grouping us all together on a new quest so we can figure out who is behind all these black blooded monsters and stop them. If she’s brought us here then we need you to help us. You’ll probably need to say your goodbyes because she’ll make you join us whether you want to or not. How does that sound?” He snapped sarcastically, already done with the situation.
But nobody spoke, not even to scold him for his outburst and Legend turned around to see this Hyrule’s Link standing in the room’s doorway, presumably having just heard his rant about their quest.
Fuck.
But that wasn’t the worst part of the situation. The worst part of the situation was this Link’s appearance.
The group didn’t know what was worse about it. The painful looking scars that covered part of his left cheek creeping up to cover his ear and snaking down his neck to presumably cover his body as well, or the blank look of numbness on the boy’s face. He had walked in with Paya as he stared into the distance at nothing, seemingly oblivious to his surroundings as he stood there. Warriors had been closest and he recognised the look in this Link’s eyes. It was the look of someone who had completely given up and retreated from the world. He’d seen it on lots of fellow soldiers on the battlefield and off it. Men who’d retreated into their heads because the war was too scarring.
That was when the new Link had pulled something from his belt and vanished in shards of glowing blue light, teleporting away before anyone could even say anything.
“Great. Now what do we do?” Wind questioned, unsure of how to precede.
“I fear there is nothing we can do, apart from wait for his return.” This Hyrules Impa spoke up. “Link knows how to hide when he doesn’t want to be found and the more we try to force our company into him, the more he resists it.” The group were reluctant to accept this at all, but eventually conceded after Impa told them that he would probably return soon, once he got his head around what was going on and came up with a plan. (She didn’t tell them that she was even more worried about Link then they were.)
***
Link walked through Hateno Village as he headed towards the house he had bought almost a year ago, hoping that one day he may be able to take Zelda there. However, that would never happen now.
The wooden bridge beneath him creaked as he moved across it. His eyes now set on the item before him that was his reason for coming here at all. He strode fowards and wrapped his hands around it before it vanished in streams of blue light into his slate. He opened the map, selected his next location and disappeared.
Leaving Bolson and Karson behind as they looked at each other worriedly. They hadn’t seen him in months and he hadn’t even seemed to hear them calling his name.
***
He walked inside with the sledgehammer he had taken from outside his house as he set his sights on the aim of his journey.
The statue of the goddess Hylia, in the Temple of Time.
The goddess who had ignored her peoples suffering. Who had left her people to die. Who had let everyone he knew die. Who had ignored Zelda’s prayers and pleas for her help with her dormant powers, and had ignored his silent pleas for years.
Who was now demanding his help again, threatening to rip his world away from him once again if he refused.
Walking to the base of the statue and shifting his stance, he swung the hammer into the side of it. Before pulling it back and hitting it over and over and over again, parts of the ancient statue crumbling to the ground as the hero released his fury.
“You were supposed to protect us! You were supposed to protect your people! Protect the land and people you created!” He screamed the first words he had said in months, his voice hoarse and rough in his throat. “You were supposed to protect her! She trusted you, she believed in you!” His voice cracked and his throat ached as he yelled, unused to being used at such a loud volume.
Then he stopped and let the head of the sledgehammer rest on the floor as Link realised something.
“I... I believed in you.” It was practically a whisper.
“I trusted you.” It was louder now.
“I trusted you! I thought you’d help us. I thought you’d help me, but you abandoned us! You just left us all to die! You let me die!” He couldn’t breathe because he had trusted her and look where that trust had gotten him.
Nowhere.
“I lost everything.” He thought outloud.
“Do you hear me? I’ve lost everything because of you and your stupid quest!” His ears were ringing as he started screaming again as the hammer was back striking at the statue of the goddess even harder then before.
“I lost my family!” A family he couldn’t even remember.
“I lost my home!” Another place thats memories were lost to him.
“I lost everyone I’ve ever cared about!” That was something he could only assume. He must of had a family at some point, maybe even some friends? He just didn’t know.
“Daruk” His back throbbed with phantom pain in memory of how hard his congratulatory back ‘pats’ were. How loud his voice was, even when he was trying to be quiet.
“Revali” Even though they had mainly been at odds with each other, Link still remembered a few things. The way he would preen whenever he got any amount of attention, or the sound of his wings gliding through the air.
“Urbosa” The sound of her voice rang through his ears, how she’d always sounded so confident and sure of herself. How proud she was of her people and her culture.
“Mipha” The girl he was supposedly in love with, and he could barely remember anything about her. He could remember how soft her voice was but how she was also incredibly fierce in battle when defending those she loved, but that was it. There was practically nothing left.
“Ze-Zelda!” He hit the statue so hard that his hammer shattered into pieces, as he thought of the few things that he could actually remember about her. The way her eyes light up when she talked about the Shiekah technology or a rare species of animal or flower. The way her nose would slightly scrunch up and her eyebrows would furrow when she was annoyed at him. The way her hands shook when she held him as he died in her arms.
“I’ve lost everything because of you! I have nothing left anymore! I’m done. Do you hear me? I’m done with you!” He was no longer screaming, but he wasn’t done yet.
Looking up at the partially ruined statue before him, he dropped to his knees among the stones that now littered the floor. And dropping his head into his hands, he took a deep breath, before he threw his head back...
And screamed.
It was long and loud and every time he ran out of breath, he just took a deeper one and started again. The screams were haunting, heartbreaking and full of grief because Link, after years of mounting pressure, trauma and incapacitating grief, was finally breaking down.
***
When Link awoke he hadn’t realised that he’d fallen asleep, or more accurately, that he’d passed out after screaming for hours. His throat was sore and he felt like he was drifting in that weird feeling numbness that usually occurred when he had a breakdown, although they had never been this bad before.
He looked at the destruction around him and to his surprise, he didn’t feel guilty about it. He’d expected to feel guilty like he always did these days, blaming himself for everything that went wrong. Even if he knew that, logically, there wasn’t any possible way that he could be responsible for it.
But this? This left him feeling hollow instead. Because there was nothing left of him anymore.
He was tired and emotionally drained and he wanted to stay here in his Hyrule. He didn’t want to be forced into being the Goddess’ pawn again, and yet he had no choice. He never had a choice when it came to the Goddess and her will, that was a lesson he learned a long time ago.
He took a moment to breathe and took out the sheikah slate to teleport back to Kakariko.
‘Time to face the Goddess’, he thought as he tried to prepare himself to once again succumb to the Goddess’ wishes and relinquish any thoughts of freedom.
It wouldn’t do any good to imagine a luxury that he would never be granted.

So, I just caught up on the mafia series having been offline for a few months (immaculate, as with everything you write) and I have a question if you don’t mind. What's it like when Namjoon and Jungkooks partners interrogate someone together? I want to hear about them wreaking havoc together because we stan strong female relationships
Hi! Welcome back and thank you! And in short? A bloody nightmare and I’m so glad you asked! This turned out waaay longer than I planned but it was fun to write anyway!
Edit: Let me add Namjoon's and Jungkook’s fic for background
Words: 1.7k
Warnings: gore, sadistic women, misogyny sorta (man thinking of woman as a bitch), blood, knives, talk of pain, manipulation, torture, mention of smoking
“Alright, so you won’t talk?” Jungkook huffed at the silent middle-aged man before him, looking at his watch as he clicked his tongue, “Well, I have a meeting to get to.” He shrugged, a small smile creeping onto his face.
“Ah, looks like our time with you is up.” Namjoon concealed his smirk.
“Luck you, Seungwon.” Jimin mused, but it almost seemed sarcastic, “Well, do you want to tell us where you funneled the cash? Last chance.”
The man, scoffed, “Or what? You’ll kill me? Leave me here to starve for a night?” He mocked, knowing if he died the money would be lost, and leaving him for a night is nothing compared to the elusive plastic lining the walls and floor of the dingy basement room.
This made Namjoon break into a clean smirk, “No, no, we’ve... evolved.”
A knock at the door made all the men turn to the thick metal of it as the silver doorknob turned. He expected some lackey to gather the men for a meeting, or really anything other than the smiling girl that peaked her head in, “Koo?” She called and the man in question broke out into a goofy smile as the girl basically skipped inside, wearing a pink sundress with a light green cardigan.
“Hi, baby!” He scooped the girl up, giving her a twirl and a kiss on the lips as she giggled, “How’s my Honey doing?” He cooed as he nuzzled into her neck.
“Good! I got up early today, made your lunch- it’s in the fridge, don’t forget- and Junebug and I met up with the wedding planner to work on invitations and whatnot, she’s such a doll!” She gushed and Seungwon scrunched his nose as the engaged couple fussed over one another.
He always wondered what made such a ruthless man like Jungkook bend to the will of someone like her. He had only ever seen the elusive “Honey” in passing, never introduced since Jungkook kept his fiancee’s identity limited to him and his brothers. Although he did understand why he hid her away, she was obviously delicate. Seungwon wasn’t even a fighter but he was sure he could break you in half.
Another knock made him roll his eyes as a woman he did recognize sauntered in and he gulped slightly. Namjoon’s wife carried herself with an air of unchecked power, and rightfully so as her husband’s eyes softened as he glided to her, “Junebug, welcome.” He purred as he placed a loving kiss on his wife’s lips, “Having a good day so far?” He asked, genuinely curious as the most powerful man in the country clung to her every word.
Namjoon’s wife was, in Seungwon’s opinion, a bitch. Seungwon was a golden boy, a rising man in the syndicate. He was gaining more responsibilities, and more money, at a quick rate. It was Namjoon’s wife who took one look at him for the first time and whispered in her loving husband’s ear. She never smiled at him or spoke to him. The bitch probably looked down on him, there was a theory that she was in an arranged marriage with the boss as a girl born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Either way, the next thing he knew was an audit was done on all the finances and all of the money he had been stealing was discovered missing.
He grit his teeth as the woman spoke, adjusting her pencil skirt, “Wonderful day, actually.” She grinned, “The wedding plans are going wonderfully, makes me want to renew our vows using that planner.” She looked at Namjoon with nothing but love, “Wouldn’t that be nice, my love?”
He hummed, “Sounds lovely, my darling.”
Jimin scoffed, “Don’t we have a meeting to get to?” The man rolled his eyes as the couples giggled at him, knowing he was just jealous.
“Right, right.” Jungkook sighed as he turned to his lover, “Your raincoat is in the bag.” The girl hummed as he handed her a suitcase, “I love you.”
“I love you too.” She beamed at him, “Have fun at the meeting!” She chirped and he cooed at her before kissing her forehead.
“You know the drill. Be safe, be ruthless,” Namjoon murmured to his wife before they kissed each other, “Call me when you’re done.”
Her eyes flickered to Seungwon for a split second as a malevolent smirk found its way onto her face, “It’ll be quick I’m sure.” She stated simply, “Love you, baby.”
“I love you too.” He spoke as the men left the room.
Seungwon heard shuffling next to him and he turned to see Jungkook’s fiancee, who he only knew as (and was unable to call her) Honey, bending over as she shuffled a clear raincoat over her outfit.
“You’d be wise to watch where your eyes land.” Junebug, another name he was not allowed to call the woman, spoke with sharp eyes catching his, “Honey isn’t here for you to look at.” She sneered and before he could even open her mouth, she cut him off, “So, before we do our thing, would you like to tell us to what account our money is?” She raised a brow and he rolled his eyes.
“And how do you know I didn’t spend it?” He challenged and the woman simply laughed.
She looked him up and down like he was trash, making his skin flare with rage, “You’ve been wearing the same pair of sneakers since we met, have been using the same hair products, and your home and car have remained the same.” She deadpanned and he cursed himself internally, “If you spent it, you’d be dead.” She stated simply, “Now, last chance before things get ugly, where’s the money?”
Seungwon heard the leader’s women were participating in business, but he didn’t expect interrogation to be something they handled. He gulped, not enjoying surprises or not knowing what exactly they can do. He knew how the leaders made people squeal, but the women? He had no idea. However, he remained silent, jaw clenched as he held his silence and her gaze in spite of the metal clinking next to him.
She raised a brow before clicking her tongue, “You’re gonna make me put on a raincoat?” He remained silent as she rolled her eyes, “Fine, Honey, you’re up.”
The cheerful woman hummed as she walked up to him, face behind a shield and hands with pink gloves on as she held a thin knife, “Okay, so you tell me where the money is, and I’ll stop, okay?” She held up the symbol in her gloved hand before giggling, “Wow, usually it’s just for inside info but now I’m like ‘where’s my money?!’ like a real mafia person!” She turned to Junebug with a childish grin that the woman returned, now donned in a raincoat and patting the woman’s head.
“So cute.” She cooed, “Now, be safe, be ruthless.” She spoke softly and Honey nodded.
“What are you gonna do? Take my finger off?” He scoffed and the way he made the woman giggle unnerved him.
Her eyes landed on him, much darker now as she scanned his form, stopping at his forehead, “Hey mister, you’re sweating quite a bit now. Are you nervous?” She asked and he remained silent, “Did you know stress can make pain worse?” She leaned forward, lips close to his ear and she sniffed lightly, “Uh oh~ we got a smoker!” She sang, stepping back and sinking to her knees, “Nicotine hinders blood flow to joints, making healing so slow.” She pouted and he suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable with the way she glided a sharp knife along his legs, “Okay, here we go!”
The pain was blinding, but the cruelest part of it is that it was not fatal. He never saw where she stabbed him, he couldn’t bear to open his eyes as the pain radiated throughout his body, most concentrated in his left knee. He couldn’t breathe as he focused on not saying a word and heard a chuckle from one of the women, “Didn’t you hear her, old man? She said stress makes the pain worse.” A wicked cackle followed as he pressed his lips together.
“The beautiful thing about pain is that it’s all in your head.” Honey taunted, “The brain doesn’t feel pain, chemicals from it tell you that it hurts.” She explained with a wicked lilt to her voice, “I could be poking you, but if I have a big enough reaction-” She gasped loudly and pain shot through him like a bullet but there was no gunshot, “You’ll cry your little heart out.” She chortled, “Like a baby.”
“You think I like wearing a raincoat waiting for pigs like you to squeal?”Junebug spoke, “I don’t want to be doing this to you, Seungwon, I really don’t.” Her voice was softer, almost pitying, “But you forced my hand, Honey’s hand.” She clicked her tongue like she was scolding a child, “We don’t like to hurt our family, so why do you like to hurt us?”
He panicked, the tenderness in her voice getting to him, offering solace from pain. This went on for what felt like hours. Each time Junebug would speak, Honey would cease her torture. They were training him, like a dog. They were getting him most comfortable with speaking with Junebug, just so he would salivate at the chance of talking with the woman. Junebug spoke honeyed words about how important he was, how vital he was to their group, making it seem like they were doing him a favor by torturing him. It had to have been a whole day by the time he gasped out the account he put the money.
He was delirious, and mercy was a greater reward than any cashout as the blood from the slit on his forehead seeped into his eyes, “Good choice.” Junebug praised as she wrote down the info, “What’s our time, Honey?”
The girl simply beamed, raincoat off, not a speck of blood on her pristine outfit, “Twenty minutes.”
