Forget-Me-Not
Author note: Hope you guys will like this new story! :3 This will have a second part as well
Summary: As a member of Hook's pirate crew, you have to obey your captain. Even if he plans on using the new found crush of a blond haired lost one on you in order to get secrets...
Tumblr media
How have you gotten yourself in this situation?
Freshly debarked on Neverland, you had been wandering on the shore as the crew was doing activities you were forbidden to. You didn’t mind: you didn’t enjoy cleaning the whole ship and hanging out with them. Being the only girl on the ship was… interesting in a way. You had been saved from the streets by the fearsome pirate captain Hook when you had tried to steal from him: he seemed to have admired your wits and your audacity but you knew you lived on a razor’s edge. The pirates didn’t hide their harsh feelings toward you and you had to look behind your shoulder most of the time. Good thing you were authorized to sleep in the same room as Hook.
So, you had been walking on the shore when you decided to explore the woods next to it. It was a bad idea, you knew that, but you were a curious girl: adventure was calling and you would respond to that call. At least, you had a gun with you and a sword that you knew how to use. It took you some time to master the art of fighting but you knew you had to learn it in order to survive. Walking in the woods, you came across some strange looking flowers. Kneeling down, you were mesmerized by how they looked and smelled: like a rose and lilac combined, with beautiful pastel colours. You unconsciously reached for them when someone roughly pushed you to the side.
“What’s wrong with you Jonas?! You know those flowers are-” The person spoke furiously and quickly before they marked a pause as you stood, brandishing your gun to them. “You’re not Jonas.”
“Do I look like a man?” You growled, making sure your gun was ready to fire.
“I don’t know, you tell me.” The person laughed as they raised their arms but they clearly were armed. “You can lower the gun, missy.”
It was a boy or a man, at least, he was stuck between those ages. He looked young but old at the same time, wearing different coats and clothes of dark colors and what strikes you most was the scar on his face, he definitely stood out from the crowd. His eyes were grey or steel blue, it was hard to see but they sparkled with some kind of curiosity when he looked at you, as if he hadn’t seen a woman for ages.
“You’re not from Neverland, how did you come here?” He asked as he tilted his head, his eyes looking you up and down. He seemed to analyze you and you didn’t like that.
“I won’t tell you.”
“Judging by how you are behaving yourself, I would say you are from Hook’s crew.” Your face decomposed when he said that, and he chuckled when he realized he was right. “Also, you dress like a pirate. I didn’t know Hook accepted girls.”
“It’s temporary- why am I even talking to you?” You mumbled under your breath but didn’t hide the gun away. You still didn’t know if you could trust him, he looked like a threat.
“Can you put the gun away? I won’t harm you, lost boy’s promise.”
“What’s a lost boy?” You had heard Hook talking about it in a hushed tone with Smee once but they stopped when you walked in. You decided to trust whoever that boy was and put the gun back to its holster.
“Hook didn’t tell you?” He sounded surprised as he approached you but stopped when you kept your distance with him. He then smiled. “Maybe I should introduce myself: Felix.” He gave you his hand to shake that you reluctantly took. You still didn’t trust him fully.
“(Y/N). I didn’t know people lived here.” You continued as you looked around, your eyes fixating on the strange looking flowers you still wished to touch.
“The lost boys do, which I am part of. It’s strange that the captain didn’t mention that to you, are you certain he cares about you that much? I mean, if I was him, I wouldn’t let you wander in those parts on your own…”
“I can handle myself, thank you very much!” You turned and decided to leave, this boy infuriated you. As you walked back to the shore, you heard him laughing and running after you, so you made sure to walk faster.
What was wrong with him? Why was he following you? You sighed, very exasperated and stopped when the ship was in your line of sight. While you disliked the boy, he didn’t seem to wish harm upon you and you would hate yourself if the pirates caught him talking to you. Usually the pirates would intervene when you spoke to someone, woman or man, child or old. They just didn’t want you to spill some secrets.
“It’s better if you stop following me, or they will throw you in a cell.” You warned Felix who just laughed again. “What’s funny, shitface?”
“You could do better with your insults, you know? And, I was send to speak to the captain anyway, with fucking Jonas who disappears all the time.” He seemed pretty angry about his friend who didn’t show up but you let him walk you back to the Jolly Roger.
As you stepped closer, you heard the familiar chatting of the crew which stopped when you climbed aboard with the lost boy. The atmosphere became tense instantly and you froze when you saw the crew approaching you with weapons, probably to fight Felix. Was it strange you wanted to stay at his side to protect him if anything happened?
Hook suddenly appeared, parting through the men, and he stepped furiously toward you. You gulped nervously, your body shaking a little. He knew you were afraid and frightened by him and what he could do. His piercing eyes went to Felix then to you, you made sure to avoid his judgemental gaze as he walked closer. The lost boy was not reacting, instead, he was watching.
“I told you to not go into the woods and you disobeyed me. Then, you bring that thing aboard.” The captain scolded as he pointed to your odd companion. “You know what will happen if you disobey me.”
“I-I didn’t mean to!” You whimpered, knowing damn well what Hook meant.
“I am here because of Pan. He sent me to you.” Felix chimed in, and you glanced at him. He had a smug expression on his face, unafraid of being alone amongst men who clearly wished to kill him. “I just happened to save your little soldier from a rosekiller. You should warn her about the dangers of Neverland, Hook.”
“Oh shut up. (Y/N), room, now.” The captain grasped your arm and yanked you into the direction of his quarters. You scrambled to get there as fast as possible, not enjoying humiliation in front of the crew.
Some hours had passed since that accident. You wondered if Felix was still alive, but you had heard no sounds of battle and killings. Laying on your bed, you played with your dagger, twirling it. The night had come, you didn’t have any dinner. Usually you would eat with the captain but maybe he wanted to punish you as well? It was not your fault if Felix came on the ship. If anything, he should punish Felix if it was possible.
The door swung open, startling you. The dagger fell on the bed and you quickly hid it under your pillows. You observed the captain as he strode in with the cook, who put several cooking pots on the wooden table. One thing that was good when you shared a room with a pirate captain was the food. When you were with the crew, the common men, you didn’t have a choice and ate whatever the cook did, which was stew or soup. Hook enjoyed grand and exquisite meals so your belly was often full. But, when you misbehaved, the pirate would not allow you at the table and you had to suffer watching him eat.
When the cook left, Hook beckoned you over. You strutted over and sat next to him as he filled your place generously. You thanked him and waited until he had started to eat to do the same. Even if Hook was a pirate, he seemed to enjoy the etiquette as he called it. He had taught you about it, like which cutlery to use when you ate a salad. Once, you chose to cut the salad and he stabbed your hand with his fork. Now, you had a scar to tell the silly story.
Hook was unusually silent, but it was not the silent treatment he gave you when you messed up. You also realised he was looking at you from time to time, which made you uneasy. Wondering what you had done wrong, you decided to be on your best behavior and to apply this whatever etiquette the pirate liked so much. When you finished your plate, you realised he was still staring at you.
“Did I do something wrong?” You asked slowly, eying his reaction.
“No. Tell me, is it true Felix saved you from the rosekiller?” He didn’t waste any moments to ask this question. You nodded, indicating it was the truth. The pirate captain hummed and leant back into his comfortable seat. You looked at him again, wondering what he was thinking about. “Interesting…”
“I didn’t mean to bring Felix back, he just followed me.”
“I know, I know. See, I know how Felix is, and he is not some sweet blond haired angel. He would have let one of my men die. He is a smart thing, he must have known from the beginning you were part of the crew.” It was logical, but why did he save you then? “I think he has a crush on you.”
“What?! Of course not!” You yelled, scandalized. Hook looked unimpressed at your outburst. “How can you fall for someone you had just seen?!”
“Some does. Just… He is sweets on you, I can see that. And we can use this to our advantage.” Hook stood up and put his hands on your shoulders. “Think about it: we steal Neverland’s magic, we defeat Pan… We can have all the riches in the world. Don’t you want that?”
“I don’t know what I want. I just… want to survive.” You admitted, not liking Hook’s idea. You didn’t want to play that game.
“What about living your life? Without the surviving part? When we get the magic, we will be able to steal everything we wish. Imagine this: you, in a castle, not having to work a single day of your life, not having to look behind your shoulder, not having to be afraid…” He whispered in your ears. It was tempting, and he knew it. You sighed, defeated.
“Okay, I’ll walk.”
“Good girl.” He rubbed your shoulders roughly which made you wince. “Go to bed now.”
A few days had passed since that discussion. Hook made sure you were prepared to manipulate Felix, who you learnt was Peter Pan’s second in command. So, he was a very important person, as he knew most of the secrets. You still disliked the idea of manipulating the lost boy: he had done no harm to you. He had just helped you. But, when you thought about what could happen after… You just wanted a comfortable life, you deserved it after spending so many years on the streets, stealing, sometimes killing, fighting… It was your reward.
Hook had sent you wandering in the woods again, in the hope of meeting Felix. You walked around, being careful about not touching any flowers that appealed to you. Sighing, you sat down on a boulder, observing the ladybugs, butterflies and other insects flying around. The pirates on the ship had spoken to you about the island after they saw you with Felix, the tales weren’t happy ones: fearsome beasts, dreamshade and other poisonous flowers, the deathly lost boys with a devil for a king and a fairy without wings that lurked around. They were dark tales and yet, from where you were sitting, Neverland seemed beautiful and majestic. Your views on the island were much more different from them.
“You look bored.”
The voice had startled you and you turned, a hand on your sword, to see who was speaking to you. To your luck, it was Felix. You gave him a smile and climbed down. You walked up to him, trying to act cool and collected. You felt disgusted with yourself for doing that, but you needed it. You needed that life you dreamt for so long.
“I am bored. Hook kicked me out for some time. He said I was annoying him.” That was not entirely false. The captain would often send you away and would then blame you for running off when you came back.
“He doesn’t seem very caring about you.” Felix hummed and swung his wooden club over his shoulder.
“He isn’t.” You replied with a snort. “If anything, he would sell me for a good price if I annoyed him too much. He wouldn’t mind.”
Felix looked shocked to hear this, again, it was the truth. You didn’t want to play the damsel in distress though… Your life sounded miserable when you spoke about it. Deciding to lead the conversation on another subject, you asked him how he found you. He replied with a smirk and whistled. A dark shadow flew above both of you, which started you and you tripped as you tried to take cover. That thing stared at you with hollow eyes then looked at Felix, as if it was waiting orders.
“Don’t worry, the Shadow won’t hurt you. Unless I told him so.” The blond said as the thing disappeared again. He helped you stand up. “I am supposed to tour the island for a bit, would you like to join me?”
“Sure, I don’t have anything to do anyway. And being stuck in a ship isn't good for walking.” You decided, following after him. He was walking very fast, you noticed. “How long have you been in Neverland?”
“I don’t really remember. Some centuries I guess?” He hummed before sliding down a path and watched you do the same, perhaps to catch you if you fell.
“Centuries?!” You exclaimed, taken aback by his reply. Felix didn’t look like a very old man, he rather looked like a young man. But that could explain how his eyes seemed old but the rest of his body didn’t. You wondered how that was possible to remain young like him. “How is this possible?”
“Neverland keeps us young. We don’t age.” He smiled, amused by your interest. “Well, it is Pan’s magic.”
Felix then talked about his daily life on the island. You listened to him while you explored Neverland with him. You were amazed by some of his stories, but you really doubted his capability of fighting a mountain lion on his own. Was he telling those stories to impress you? No one had ever tried to woo you, and you didn’t try to do so. Anyway, time truly seemed to stop when you were with him. You were back on the beach as the sun was setting, hearing another story. Watching him, you realized he was everything you wanted to be.
You envied how Felix and the lost boys were free. Neverland was beautiful, full of resources and exploration. From what Felix had told you, there were no girls amongst the lost boys, the reason was they never followed the music of Pan’s flute. You laughed when the blond said that, and he asked you why you thought this was funny.
“Oh Felix, if I had heard a flute, I would have stayed home too. I mean… Being on the streets taught me that I shouldn’t go to a place with too many boys.” You said with a sad chuckle, staring off at the ocean.
“I am sorry, I didn’t… You don’t talk about your life before Hook that much.” Felix told you in a soft tone. He seemed to know it was a difficult and rather traumatic thing to do.
“We have known each other for a few days, it is not a conversation I have upon meeting someone.”
“I know, sorry.” He apologized again.
The pirates had also told you all sorts of things about Felix. You didn’t know if it was to frighten you or to make you forget he was kind and nice to you so that you could act upon the plan just like Hook wanted. They talked about how intimidating he was, how carefree and a beast he was in a fight, and that once, he ripped a pirate’s heart and crushed it under his boot like it was nothing. But he didn’t strike you as such a monster. Or maybe he was like that because he indeed was sweet on you?
Still, you wished to know how he truly was. Was it that monster? Felix noticed how quiet you were and asked what you were thinking about. You kept your mouth shut and wondered if you should indeed ask him if he was terrible in a battle. Maybe he will be able to tell you the truth?
“I… I wanted to ask you this: is it true that… that you ripped a heart from a pirate’s chest and crushed it?” You asked with a nervous tone, fiddling with the hems of your sleeve’s shirts. What if Felix found out you were using him for secrets and killed you the same way? This thought was haunting you.
“Who told you that?” Taking a glimpse at him, you realised how dark his eyes were. As if a storm had appeared suddenly after days and weeks of good and sunny weather.
“The crew. They like to gossip. Unfortunately.” You stuttered out under his gaze.
“It’s true.” He then said with a shrug and a smirk grew on his lips as he went closer to you. “Afraid of me now, little pirate?”
“Of course not!” You jokingly pushed him away from you. “Thank you for being honest with me. I mean… No one is truly good or evil.”
“You’re right about that. I mean, look at Hook.” He chortled and you laughed with him.
“True. He saved me from the streets but he treats me like shit.”
“Perhaps you should head back. The night is coming. I wouldn’t want you hurt.” He noticed as the sky was slowly filled with stars.
“I am sure with you I am not risking anything.” You softly said as you stood up and started to walk toward the ship. Felix was not following you, but stood as you left. “I will see you later.”
“Do you still want to see me?” He asked with a snort. Why was he acting like that? Or… Or was he flirting? It was so hard to tell. But, deep down, you still wanted to be with him. if you could have spent the night and the day after… You would have been utterly happy.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?” You smiled at him then heard someone yelling your name. You groaned and started to run on the sand, which was pretty hard to do.
When you stepped on the ship, you were welcomed with a bunch of laughing and drunk pirates. Rolling your eyes, you knew they would mess with you about your apparent love story with the lost boy. Well… It was not really a love story, was it? The crew was rather rowdy tonight, you disliked when they were like this. You couldn’t sleep, your ears were bleeding from their bad singing and they would call you names, treating you like a servant or a maid.
That night seemed not different and Hook had joined them as well. You shuddered as he approached you and clapped your back many times very roughly. You tried to make it stop as he blocked you from escaping his grasp. Searching for Smee, your potential savior, you saw him half asleep and half drinking in a corner. So much for friendship. You groaned when Hook started a speech about how you will be able to save them from Pan, how you would steal his magic. You tried to escape his grasp but it was near impossible. The crew cheered at each sentence of their captain and you thought you would go deaf after that.
Finally, after forcing you to drink a bottle of rum, you were able to escape and to go to sleep. You closed the door behind you and wondered if you should lock it. The key had disappeared so it meant Hook had it with him. Swiftly, you locked it and sighed in relief. You hated the taste of alcohol, he knew it, why did he make you drink? It was probably another punishment for something you must have done or not done.
You reached your area of the room and drew the curtains that separated your space from Hook’s. Ultimately, you changed clothes, cleaned yourself a little and drank water before tucking yourself in your bed. Your hands found the dagger under the pillow but also the stuffed animal you had since your birth was laying there, ready to be cuddled. It was one of the few things you had kept from your life before. Hook had tried to throw it several times but he had failed. He wanted you to be a grown up in a way, but he refused to see you were already grown.
The next morning, you snuck out of the room, careful to not awaken the pirates. You couldn’t handle being locked there, between four walls. You wanted to feel the wind on your face, to feel the sand between your toes and to touch the sea. Being on the ship made you a pitiful mouse but out of it, you did feel like a predator. Perhaps you could stay in Neverland? That way, you will be able to see Felix often.
As you climbed down the ship quietly, you realised how much the lost boy was occupying your mind and you started to have concerns over the plan, and more importantly, on how it will affect Felix. He had done nothing wrong to you, unlike Hook and his pirates. He was kind too, at least to you. You had never encountered someone like him. Groaning, you wondered why you were falling in love so fast, betting it was on the fact no one had ever been the way he was with you. You have to keep cool and to keep focused on the plan, then you will have all the riches in the world, have a good house and a good life. You deserved this. But you were conflicted.
You entered the forest, hoping to find the lost boy again. Perhaps this time, you could explore the jungle more? It looked dangerous, menacing and gloomy, that was maybe why you were attracted to it. It had the same feelings and vibes as the streets you grew in. It was oddly reassuring. As you stomped around the woods on your own, you wondered how Felix always managed to find you. Perhaps it was thanks to that weird and threatening being? Did that thing spy on you? You looked to the sky and sighed, reassured when you didn’t catch a glimpse of the shadow being. It was freaking you out honestly.
You came across a river that separated you from the other side, there was a dam that linked the two parts, probably built by the lost boys. Everything was strangely calm as well, which made you stop as you moved to access the makeshift bridge. The reeds were moving but there was no wind. Stepping back, you realised you had made a wrong choice coming all the way here alone. There was a reason why Felix hadn’t brought you to this area, even if you didn’t know it. It felt terribly wrong, you felt it in your guts, and your guts never were wrong.
Turning to leave, you yelped as a boy stood at your level, grinning. You fell on your back, surprised by him. He approached nonchalantly and looked down on you, still smiling. Something about him made you sick. There was something foul, you felt it. He had bright green eyes, like a king’s emerald.
“Well, hello there, stranger.” He said with a mocking voice, probably amused by your frightened self. Then, he tilted his head. “Or should I say pirate?”
You didn’t say anything and reached for your gun, but to your dismay, you had forgotten it back at the ship. You were helpless against that boy and you didn’t like that. Jumping to your feet, you attempted to walk past him but he gripped your arm roughly, you groaned and tried to wriggle out of his grip. Glancing at his face, you saw how his eyes sparkled with wrath and anger. He did not like you walking away from him apparently.
“Let go of me, you shit face!” You insulted, panicked because this boy may be smaller than you but his strength was incredibly big. He was going to break your arm and you were defenseless against him.
“Pirates aren’t welcome on my island, I thought my second in command told that to your captain. Did he send a pretty girl in, hoping that I take interest in you so you can stab me in the back?” To your defense, it was Hook’s plan, not yours. He seemed to have read your mind as a smirk grew on his face. “Oh, you are Felix’s secret.”
“Leave me!”
“No I won’t. I know what your game is now: you want to use him to hurt me. It might work, you know? I like Felix, he is loyal to a fault, reliable and incredibly violent. My type of friends.” He continued, unbothered by you trying to escape and you still couldn’t. “You are going to break his heart, love, and I can’t have you do that to him.”
“I don’t want to hurt him, I swear-” You blurted out unwillingly, your cheeks warming up in embarrassment. Finally, the boy let you go when you revealed that and he started to laugh.
“Don’t tell me you love him. Oh, you do. I wonder how Hook will take that. It is treason, isn’t it? He will make you walk the plank and die.”
“Who the fuck are you anyway?! Why do you care?!” You screamed, very alarmed.
“You aren’t very bright, I am Peter Pan and this-” He moved his arms to show the area. So, this was the fearsome Peter Pan, you had to agree with the crew, he looked beautiful but terrifying, like a rose with thorns. “Is my kingdom. I feel like I will enjoy playing with you, girl. You are such a cute thing to destroy.” He approached you so fast, you didn’t have the time to see him coming. Peter Pan grinned again and you wondered if his teeth were fangs, it clearly looked like that. “Poor Felix, about to get his heart broken.”
“I will not hurt him, I don’t want to. I am not… I am not a monster.” Like you, you wanted to add but bit your tongue. It was not the moment to die like an idiot. “I care a lot about him.”
“Speaking about your feelings with your enemy, that is a bold move.” Pan went on as he started to walk around in a circle. You felt like a mouse about to get eaten or toyed with by a cat.
“Pan! We have a problem with-” The voice stopped and you felt like you were about to faint. It was Felix. Your eyes went to the leader of the lost boys who simply turned to watch his second in command arriving. “What is going on?” He asked, and you noticed that his voice was shaking a little. He seemed nervous to see you with Pan and you were nervous as well.
“Oh nothing. I happened to stumble upon a lady in distress. I think she got a bit lost.” His voice sounded no longer threatening but was authoritarian. Is that how a friend speaks to one of his? You watched quietly and anxiously as Peter looked at you. “I didn’t know she was your secret Felix. You should have told me about her.”
“I am sorry but the occasion never… It was never the right time.” Felix explained as Peter hummed, acknowledging his reply. “She is not a threat.”
“Oh I know that, what kind of pirates could ever get to hurt us?” He mocked as he patted his second in command on the shoulder. “Have fun Felix, but you know the rules.”
In a way, you felt that this was also addressed to you. If Pan knew about the plan, then he could tell Felix and damage your relationship with him. But again, if you decided to pursue something with him, you were betraying Hook, and you will have a death threat on your back. However, if Felix knew about the plan, realizing you spent time with him on purpose, then you will both have your heart broken. You needed to know where your loyalty lies or it will kill you.
When Pan left and was out of sight, Felix quickly approached you and held you in his arms. His club fell on the ground but he didn’t seem to mind. You tensed when he touched you but melted and leant into it. Closing your eyes, you listened to his heartbeat. It was… comfortable and nice. His hands moved to your hair and he caressed you for some minutes in silence.
“I thought he was going to harm you.” He whispered and parted away from the hug. You tried not to show you were sad he pulled away and instead concentrated on the river. “I… Why did you come here?”
“I just wanted to explore the woods.” You honestly replied. It was such an innocent thing to say. “I… I hoped to run into you.”
“Pan is no… He cares about us. He doesn’t want us to have love, he says it will lead us nowhere and hurt us. You have to understand that he is a threat only to you. He could have killed you.” Felix scolded you. You felt like listening to Hook when something didn’t go his way.
“I know, I am sorry.”
“It’s okay. I just…” He gulped down nervously and you saw how red his cheeks were. “I will hate myself if something happens to you.”
“Thank you. For saving me I guess.” You wondered what Pan could have done to you if Felix hadn’t shown up. This boy… he was terrifying and that was the worst part! He really looked like a child tyrant and you felt embarrassed to be afraid of him.
“Let’s get you back to the ship. It is not safe for you here.” Felix replied as he boldly took your hand and took you away.
Hook was getting on your nerves now.
He didn’t like you getting nowhere with the lost boy. Well, to you, you were getting somewhere with him. You two had kissed many times and did even more than kissing. The pirate captain just didn’t understand, too preoccupied with his greed. The crew was also growing impatient and questioned your mere presence on the ship. It was a matter of time before getting kicked out, you knew it.
Sighing, you contemplated the landscape from the quarterdeck. You considered jumping into the ocean and drowning but you would hurt Felix, so you didn’t do it. Ugh that boy! Why did he have to occupy your mind like this? What was so nice about him that you couldn’t go through a simple plan that would work perfectly? Everything was so complicated. Life was complicated.
“Okay there missy?” Smee interrupted your train of thoughts as he approached, looking concerned. “You haven’t been yourself in a while.”
“I am fine, don’t worry about me.” You replied, attempting to reassure him. Out of all the people from the crew, you liked Smee the most. He wasn’t lewd, brutal or disgusting like them but rather… normal. “I was just thinking.”
“Ah yes, about your new life right? Can’t wait for that I bet.”
“Yeah…”
While Smee was rambling about what his life would be like after Pan’s magic was stolen, you wondered if you should just leave the ship permanently. What could stop you from running away? Felix seemed pretty open to the idea, he had told you many times he could hide you somewhere. It was tempting, and now, you were ready to do this. That way, you will escape Hook and this life you hated. What was wrong about double crossing the captain? He wasn’t a good person anyway.
“-and so, we decided to get rid of the lost boys so it can be easier for you to steal the magic. I bet Pan would be so mad he won’t see what’s coming to hit him!” Smee laughed and your face must have done something because he instantly grew worried and asked if you were feeling okay.
“Excuse me but what did you say about the lost boys?” You asked kindly, hiding behind that mask allowed you to get what you wanted with Smee, you knew it.
“We found their camp. Hook is going to distract Pan so we can attack and kill them, those filthy rascals.”
They will attack the lost boys.
They will KILL Felix.
You smiled at Smee and told him you were going to walk a bit on the beach, to get fresh air. He shrugged, told you to be careful and also to come back before the attack starts, so you can be safe on the ship. Of course, you said you would do that. When you found the right time, you slipped away from the ship and the crew’s watchful gaze (though that was the easiest part). They were too busy getting ready for the fight they didn’t see you leaving.
You had to warn Felix about what was about to happen. One day, Felix tried to teach you how to whistle and the different meanings behind them. However, you were pretty bad at it and he instead offered you a wooden whistle he had made himself. He promised he would hear it  and would come as fast as possible. Hoping he would, you waited at the boulder you both first met and decided to give it a try. You begged and prayed to any gods listening for him to come. He had to know about the attack.
Thankfully, he showed up some minutes later. You didn’t question how he got there, you had your own idea about it. Instead of greeting him, you immediately jumped in front of him and blurted out a lot of information at the same time because of the panic you felt. Felix didn’t quite understood what you meant so you had to repeat yourself several times.
“It’s the pirates, I can’t stop them but they want to attack your camp!”
“Relax, no one knows where it is, outside of us.” Felix tried to calm you down but grew worried when you shook your head.
“I don’t know how they know but they know. You have to warn them to go somewhere and to hide or…”
“Is this why Hook scheduled a meeting with Pan?” He cut you mid sentence.
His tone surprised you. You looked at Felix, and he didn’t look at you the same way he had the last days. You realised he was treating you like an enemy, a prisoner even. Your mouth opened but no sound came from it, too shocked at this brutal change of his behavior. You had no idea about this until Smee informed you. Hook will probably scream at him for that as well; he was not really allowed to talk about those plans with you apparently.
“I don’t know, maybe? He just wants him out of the way to get you all killed so it can affect Peter Pan. You have to trust me.” You took his hands in yours and hoped he would have some faith in you. “Please. You know I wouldn’t do a thing to harm you.”
“Alright. I am sorry… I didn’t want to hurt your feelings. Stay here. I won’t be long. After that… I can talk to Pan and make you stay here with us. I don’t think the pirates would be too keen on having you on board after that.”
He was right. You just had betrayed them. You felt a wave of shame and self loathing, even if the pirates had mistreated you, they had taken you in. Hook fed you, gave you clothes, some parts of the treasures he found. And you threw that away, in favor of love. You didn’t expect any of them to understand, because they won’t.
Felix had been away for what seemed like hours. You were on the boulder, it was the middle of the night and you wondered if everything was fine. You hadn’t heard anything suspicious as well and there was no smell of fire. So, you guessed the lost boys were fine, which was a relief. Then why Felix didn’t come back? Dread filled your body as you assumed the worst. Maybe Felix warned them but got injured? Maybe something else happened?
Hearing someone approaching thanks to a broken twig, your hand flew to your gun. You had the advantage of having the high ground. Felix entered the field, seeming unharmed. You sighed in relief and jumped down from the boulder. You ran to him, wanting to hug the lost boy but you stopped when you realised how… how mad and upset he looked. Something must have happened with the pirates, you were sure of it.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?” You questioned him with a concerned voice. You prayed no one had been severely injured or killed. However, the boy only glared at you and it froze you instantly.
“When did you want to tell me you were using me?”
“What?” You asked, horrified; either your secret had been revealed and Pan spilled the beans about Hook’s plan to his second in command or… or he heard it from Hook himself.
“I said, when did you want to tell me you were using me? To get Pan’s magic? To get secrets about the island?” He accused and stepped forward, making you walk backwards until your back reached a tree and you couldn’t run away anymore. “Give me one reason to not kill you right now.”
“Who- Who told you that?”
“When Pan told me, I didn’t want to believe him. I thought he was maybe jealous but when Hook revealed why you started to hang out with me… It all made sense, you damn rat.” His eyes were so full of hatred and menaces that you wanted to melt to the ground and disappear forever. “Why did you do that?”
“I am sorry but he forced me! I didn’t want to at the beginning but… but you wouldn’t even understand! But I swear I meant it when I told you I wouldn’t want to hurt you!” You attempted to explain and Felix scoffed as he turned around, leaving the field. You quickly ran after him, you couldn’t let your happiness slip through your fingers like this. It was unfair."Felix I swear I didn't think it would get that far…!" You implored the blond haired boy as you scrambled to follow him. He was walking so fast you had trouble keeping up with him. He suddenly stopped and whirled to face you. You gulped down nervously, waiting for him.
"You used me! You told me you loved me, I kissed you and you just used me!" He screamed back and you were too stunted to do something. "Pan was right all along, you're just like them: a dirty pirate who only wants gold."
"That's not true! Hook forced me to do it but I swear Felix…" You repeated and you tried to approach the lost boy. You stopped when he threatened you with his wooden club. Tears started to roll down your cheeks from being tired, angry at yourself and sad you were losing him. “Please don’t leave me.” You whispered, your legs shaking, frightened about what was going to happen.
“Go back to your ship, Hook is waiting for you. And if I ever see you again, you won’t be breathing.” He stated menacingly. You let out a sob as he turned again and left.
Once you were truly alone and finished your crying, you picked yourself up and dragged you back to the beach. You were certain all of this was a set up from Pan, perhaps amused to see you suffer or to block Felix from being truly happy. But that didn’t matter anymore. You wrapped your arms around yourself, a futile attempt to reassure you from all that happened. You hadn’t expected that much pain from losing someone.
Climbing back on the ship’s board, you realised no one was here. The crew must be sleeping, but there was no guard which was odd. Maybe Hook had a truce going on with the lost ones? This was a possibility. You walked toward the quarter you shared with the pirate captain and you softly opened the door, finding at first empty. As you locked, you heard someone turning on the oil lamp. Sighing, you turned to face Hook. After losing Felix, you were ready for anything now.
He was leaning on his chair, staring at his shiny hook. You timidly took a few steps but stopped, stressed and scared. Finally noticing your arrival, his eyes met yours and he nodded toward the table. He wanted you to have a seat with him, how bizarre. You sat down and avoided his gaze, feeling like a kid who had been caught stealing.
“I am extremely disappointed in you.” He started, his voice neutral. “I thought we were on good terms together. I let you live with us freely. You don’t have to do all the hard work unlike the crew and you eat at my table. I ask you to do one simple task: get secrets and manipulate Pan’s second in command. And what do you do? You run off to him, spilling about another part of the plan.”
“I am sorry-”
“Shut your mouth.” He insulted, and you did so. You felt so little. “I should kill you. That’s betrayal. But you are young, inexperienced and down right miserable. I would say you have been taught a lesson however…” Your eyes met his and your face drained from its color when you saw this sparkle of mischief they held. "You have to be punished." He announced as he approached you and you knew what it meant by “being punished”.
"No, Hook, don't!" You protested as he dragged you toward a trapdoor on his room's floor. You squirmed and even bit him to get away but you couldn't. He opened the trapdoor with a sad sigh and threw you in.
“On our next stopover, I will find you a nice gentleman.” You heard him as you were paralyzed, too stressed to gain control of your body. “I’ll sell you off, get some money and you will have a happy ending like you always were meant to get.” He finished with a mocking voice as you heard him lifting something heavy. “Until then, behave.”
It was dark, cold and cramped. Your breathing began to be irregular and you pounded at the trapdoor, sobbing and shaking, begging the pirate to free you. Hook knew how you hated the dark, how and why you feared it. You heard him putting something heavy, like a carpet, above the entrance. Then, the door from the quarters slammed and you found yourself alone, in the darkness.
You don’t know how long you spent in the cold darkness. Your fingers were bloody from scratching the wooden doors, you felt weak and frail, like you were constantly about to faint. Your lips were dry from not being able to drink water. If anything, Hook was not trying to punish you but to kill you. Perhaps this was a fitting end. You never could have nice things before, why should you have here? If only you did as you were told… But, you met Felix, and you couldn’t even hate him for leaving you. You understood his anger. You just hoped he was doing okay.
Curling into the corner, you attempted to warm yourself up but you failed miserably. Since the trapdoor was so close to the water level, you felt the humidity from it, which was going to make you ill or it already did. You were sneezing and coughing from time to time but you always checked your body temperature, you didn’t appear to have a fever or even a sickness. Maybe it was the mold and the seaweed?
What was also strange was the lack of sounds. It felt like the crew left and decided to leave you to die. Why didn’t Hook execute you? It would have been easier instead of letting you rot away. You would have preferred it anyway. You were dozing off when you heard someone knock down the door. You knew that sound: yourself had used it to break into houses in order to steal. Weakly, you lifted yourself and tried to be silent, to make sure what you heard was not some kind of hallucination.
You almost started to cry when you heard footsteps. Someone was definitely upstairs, going through the room. Who was it? A lost boy? A crew’s member? Smee? Someone you didn’t know? You hoped they were friendly and willing to open the trapdoor. If not, you could promise them the captain’s secret treasure, you knew where it was, unlike the crew. You started to hit on the wooden door again, wincing as you did so. Your knuckles and fingers were bloody and injured but you didn’t have a choice: it was your chance to escape. The person seemed to notice some kind of noises as you attempted to knock on the door with full force and strength. You could hear them approaching the carpet that must muffle the sounds.
"Is someone down there?"
It was Felix. Your eyes shot up with excitement and relief and you started to trash against the door again. You needed him to open it, to free you. You didn’t know if he was willing to, however. But you had to try. You needed to get out or you will die.
"Please Felix, I need you to help me!"
"Wait… (Y/N)? Shit! What are you doing there?!"
"Please open me, please!" Your fists were getting tired against the hardwood but you pushed yourself to make more and more noises. You didn’t want to spend one more second down there.
Waiting some minutes, you wondered if Felix left you. It didn’t seem right, he sounded worried. He seemed to be searching for something to open the trapdoor, since Hook must have taken the lock’s key. You almost fainted when the door opened and strong arms pulled you out. Letting yourself fall, you stumbled upon Felix who held you tightly. It felt nice, it felt reassuring and comforting. You were hungry, thirsty and dizzy, but you tried to stand up and walk. However, after being locked for three days at least, you were extremely weak.
"Tell me you had some water at least?" Felix asked in a serious and concerned tone.
"No…" You croaked out, looking around for a water pitcher. Hook wasn't known for his love of water but he often kept one for you in his quarters, since you slept there with him. "There it is."
Felix sat you down gently on your much smaller and simpler bed than Hook's across the room and got a glass that he immediately filled to the brim. He strode back to you and put the cup to your lips, forcing you to drink all of it. Some spilled out, but you didn’t care: it felt so good, like you had reached an untouched paradise.
"Why did you lock you up? Is it… Is it because of me?"
"Amongst other things, yes. I think he is growing tired of having me around." You sighed, knowing your fate will not be a good one. You knew that day would eventually come, the pirate captain never hid to tell you he will not hesitate to sell you off to some man to get married. You shuddered and started to cry again at the mere thought of it.
"It's going to be okay." Felix tried to reassure you awkwardly, but he had failed to do so. You  were shaking from crying so much and he draped an arm over your shoulder to bring you closer to him. "I promise."
"No, no, you don't understand. He will send me away, he always told me so."
"I won't let you go. I… I will hide you somewhere on the island. Not even Pan needs to know you are here." Felix continued, but it was futile: nothing escaped Pan. He could try all his might, Pan would eventually find you and kill you. "Let’s get you out of here first and I will find you a place to stay, and… and maybe I will find a magic bean, you will be able to leave."
"Why are you doing this? I thought you hated me." You sniffled miserably and tried to dry your tears.
"Let’s say I… I reconsidered all the events and came to the conclusion you are not the villain in the story. Hook is. You never meant to harm me."
"And I still don't want to." You assured him as you stood up on wobbly legs. You didn’t have a lot of personal belongings, except for some pieces of jewelry that your mother had gifted you before dying and some coming from Hook that you never wore, and some clothes. It didn't take too long to get your bag ready, which the lost boy insisted on taking.
There was no sign of the crew as you both left the empty ship and you grew concerned. Did they wait for Felix to come and rescue you? Was it a trap? You flinched when Felix touched your shoulder, perhaps to reassure you. He also looked worried but more for you. You understood: you must look and smell like hell after spending some days without water, food and other basic needs that you couldn’t do or have.
The sun was about to set, you noticed. Maybe it was the easiest to move at night on the island? When you stared at Felix, you also wondered why he came to the Jolly Roger in the first place. Did Pan send him to? Or did he go on his own? Perhaps to look for you? Your heart swelt at the thought but you doubted it was that reason. When you left him (or rather he left you), he was hysterical and furious. As you both walked down a muddy path, you decided to ask him the question.
“Truth to be told… I was worried about you.” He explained, studying the environment before helping you out. He lifted you down to another path, less recognizable. Felix seemed to know where he was going, so you didn’t bother to fret about that secret location you were both headed to. “Listen I… I was furious when I learnt that plan, Hook’s plan. I wasn’t thinking straight, I was really hurt you apparently tried to use me. But then… I thought that someone who didn’t care about me wouldn’t betray a treacherous and vicious pirate crew.” He finished and shyly smiled at you. You could have fainted listening to him: he was forgiving you! “Now, the most important thing is to get you somewhere safe.”
“Where are we going?” You finally asked, concentrating on following him through thick bushes. Your boots were getting dirty from all the mud and water, you were in a kind of swamp. You panicked when you saw bright yellow eyes blinking and glittering at you. You quickly ran to Felix and held his hand, seeking comfort and protection. You were too weak to fight, and you didn’t know where your gun and sword were.
“A place where Hook and Pan wouldn’t think of finding you. Well, Pan could find you out but I plan on smuggling you out as fast as possible.”
“Will you come with me?”
He didn’t reply and you decided not to push the question further. You understood if Felix wanted to stay: his whole life was in Neverland. He was the second in command, he had to care about the other lost boys as well. He couldn’t leave all that for you. After all, it was indeed your fault if you were in that mess.
Finally, you reached your destination: it was a cave hidden deep inside the swamp. Felix informed you Peter hated this part of the island, so he will hesitate to come snooping around. You were a bit surprised to see furniture such as a bed, cabinet and table already there.
“It was an old hideout before Pan forbade us to come here.” He quickly explained when he saw you look around. “It’s dusty but… Better than a trapdoor, am I right?”
“Yeah, anything is better than that.” You agreed and walked over to the bed.
The second in command laid something on the bed and you realized he had stolen some things from Hook’s quarters. Actually, it was your blanket, so the pirate won’t be that mad. But he will certainly be astonished to see the trapdoor opened with no sign of your person in it. Perhaps Felix had an idea on how to escape the island? You wanted to ask him if he had a magic bean but you refrained from doing so. You were exhausted from being imprisoned and from walking. You laid down on the bed and tried to get comfortable.
“I am going to get you some supplies from another hideout not far away. I won’t be too long. Try to sleep.” Felix softly whispered and kissed your forehead.
“Thank you.”
When you awoke, Felix was nowhere to be seen. There were several new objects and a basket full of food and a pitcher. Your stomach growled and you leaped to your feet, almost rushing to the table. You were so hungry and absolutely starved, your hands greedily went through the basket. Felix seemed to have the time to prepare some sandwiches that you devoured without a second thought. It felt insanely good to eat. For you, this was better than the food you would eat with Hook at his table. You wondered if he knew where you went or if he didn’t care. Probably the latter, you thought. If he was willing to sell you off then he didn’t care that much about your person.
Bored, you walked toward the entrance of the cave. You didn’t have the time or the energy to observe your surroundings when you arrived. Your nose scrunched up when you got a scent from the swamps: it was disgusting and you gagged at the odor. That may be one of the reasons Pan hated this place and you completely agreed with him. It was inhumane. At least the yellow eyes were gone or so you believed. You had seen such eyes in books about nature and animals, perhaps alligators lived there. You smiled, thinking about the odd story the captain told you once at night: a crocodile apparently took his hand and now he was wearing a hook to use it. You wondered if those animals could talk so you could ask them to eat him.
Something moved in the swamp which made you hide further in the cave’s shadows. You didn’t have any weapons on you so it was best to keep a low profile. Next time, you would ask Felix to get you some. You couldn’t stand being without one, you felt naked. You instantly smiled when you saw a familiar head with blond locks advancing toward the cave. Still, you stayed well hidden before jumping in to hug him.
“Thank you for the food, I greatly appreciated that.” You told him between kisses.
“We have no time to waste. I fear Pan must know something.” He replied, sounding almost desperate and frightened. “I may know a way to keep you safe but… There is a price to pay.”
“You are scaring me Felix.”
“Listen, there is someone named Rumpletilskin, he makes magical deals with people, at unfair prices though. We could… call him. I will pay any price if that means you get to live away from here.” The second in command argued with a disaffected and trembling voice. He didn’t seem to trust that person as well, which did scare you a little.
“But I don’t want to leave you!” You complained, you could hide in there for a long time, you wouldn’t mind. It was going to be hard but you didn’t want to leave Felix.
“I know.” He sighed and closed his eyes. It was also hard for him, you could tell that. “But it’s the only way to secure your safety.”
“You should come with me. We could live together.” You tried to insist but you found yourself disappointed when he shook his head again.
“I can’t. I have responsibilities here, the boys… Even if they annoy the fuck out of me, I can’t just live them there, you know? I promise I will do anything to find you after.” He sputtered, you felt being the second choice for him but you somewhat understood what the issue is: he had known the lost boys for all his life (centuries as he told you) and you both have known each other for what? Some weeks? It was unfair for him to just leave everything for a girl he barely knew.
“Okay.” You agreed, defeated. He was right, this was the only issue unfortunately. “But what if Pan knows about that?”
“He won’t dearie.”
Felix’s eyes shot wide open and he pulled you behind him protectively, though you could stand your ground. You scowled upon seeing the man or rather… creature in front of you: he looked more like a crocodile or alligator, with scales and golden eyes. He seemed rather amused at your constant starring and you glanced at the lost boy who looked tense. He giggled as he approached and wandered around the cave.
“I can’t believe my eyes! The second in command of Peter Pan, calling me, to make a deal! And with a pirate, nonetheless. What for, dearie?”
“For her protection.” Felix said with a stern and serious voice. You didn’t know what else to say so you let him deal with the strange fellow. “To be away from Neverland.”
“It will cost you a great deal, my friend. And I don’t think you have something I desire unfortunately, except if you can bring me your leader’s head.” You froze at that statement, knowing he wouldn’t do it. Also, Rumpletilskin seemed very angry when he spoke of Peter Pan. Did they have a history together?
“A part of my heart, perhaps?”
“What?!” You turned to stare at Felix, shocked by his offer. What did he mean by a part of his heart?
“Tell me more.” Rumpletilskin clapped his hands together, visibly interested.
“My heart is special, pure red, extremely rare, that’s what Pan told me.” Felix replied without glancing at you. Your heart was thundering in your chest, speaking of hearts made you quite queasy. “If I give you a part of it, you will make sure she has a good life somewhere else, where she will be happy, safe and without any problems of any kind. Do we have a deal?”
“I want to see it first.” The being haggled over, but he didn’t hide his interest.
“Felix, you don’t have to do that.” You told the lost boy, squeezing his hand.
“I have to. For you.”
Rumplestiltskin appeared in front of Felix. Unlike you, he didn’t step back, he instead glared at the dealmaker. You wondered how he would be able to see Felix’s heart. How could someone do that? Will he open the lost boy here and there? It seemed very risky and unsafe. To your surprise and horror, the man didn’t do that. Instead, he stuck his hand in the chest of your lover and took out his heart. Felix moaned in pain and you let him leant against him. He looked extremely weak but tried to appear strong and unbothered by what was happening.
The dealmaker inspected the heart meticulously and methodically. It was making you sick: he was observing the heart as if it was some meat piece! It was revolting. Rumplestiltskin took his sweet time before snapping his fingers together. A piece of parchment appeared out of thin air, with a feather quill.
“We have ourselves a deal my friend.”
“Felix, I am not sure about this. Are you certain-”
“Anything to protect, I will pay any price if it means you get to live that life you ever wanted. You deserve this. Let me take care of you one more time.” He softly spoke and kissed you.
The dealmaker made a gagging sound and giggled when he realised how embarrassed you were. What a bastard. You understood why the lost boy didn’t seem to like him. Watching anxiously Felix signing the parchment, you pondered over leaving him on his own, without a part of his heart. Wouldn’t he die without it? Would it be painful?
You got your reply as the blond haired boy groaned in pain, louder than when his heart was first taken, and if you weren’t holding him, the poor lad would have fallen over to the ground. You held him and hugged him, not wanting to be separated but now you didn’t have a choice anymore. You watched as the dealmaker held a little part of the heart, a shining little thing, it looked like a ruby. It was truly beautiful.
“There lover bird, let me put that back where it belongs.” The creature talked as he roughly pushed the heart back in the chest. Felix took a big inspiration before standing up on shaking legs. Then, the dealmaker stared at you with a smirk. “You have five minutes to pack and say your goodbyes.”
At least you didn’t have to leave immediately. Rumplestiltskin whistled a tune before advancing toward the exit of the cave. When he was out of sight, you hugged and kissed Felix, thanking him a hundred times for what he had done for you. Still, you didn’t want to leave him. You wanted to drag him to a better place with you, it was unfair he had to stay here.
“I don’t want to be away from you. I will die if I don’t have you near me.” You complained as Felix packed your own bag. He had insisted on doing it.
“Don’t worry. I just hope you forget me.” He tried to joke and laughed, but stopped when he saw how sad you actually were. “Or not.” Stepping toward you, he cupped your cheek and you leant into his touch. “I will try to find a way so we can be together again. I promise.”
“Okay. I promise not to forget about you.” You smiled and kissed him. Deciding on giving him something so he could still remember you, you took off one of your necklaces and offered him the piece. It was golden, with a ring attached to it. You put it in his palm delicately.
“I have to give you something too now.” He chuckled and reached for a ring he always wore. You never asked him the story from it. “There, you can wear it around your neck too. I will get it back when we will be reunited.”
“Your time is up dearie!” Rumpletilskin announced, happy to ruin the mood. “Or do you want to get killed by Peter Pan?”
“No, I'm coming.” You said before looking at Felix for the last time. “I will see you.” You kissed him again but the dealmaker roughly yanked you with him. You both groaned at the loss of sensations and before you could blink, a strange cloud made of smoke blinded you.
Opening your eyes, you found yourself in an immense room, which you believed to be a living room of some kind or rather a dining hall. It was not lightened, except for some candelabras. Also, there were numerous art pieces on the walls. It didn’t feel like home and not something you would live in. Hearing the dealmaker giggling, you turned and realized he had been watching you the whole time. There was a sick sparkle in his eyes that made your stomach turn. Your gut was telling you to be careful and that something was wrong.
“Your friend doesn’t read, doesn’t he?”
“I don’t know, the subject was never brought up.” You replied quickly, being on the defensive.
“Good, because that fool will never ever see you again.” The crocodile man smirked and you found yourself bonded to a chair. You started to squirm but the binds went tighter and tighter. “Don’t worry dearie, it won’t be painful and it won’t take long. I just love messing with young naive lovers.”
His hand covered your face, you cringed under his skin and attempted to bite him. He didn’t pay attention to you, he instead seemed to be focused. You hoped he wouldn’t take away your sight or your eyes, he seemed to be very deranged. You gathered some bravery before trying to ask him what he was doing. However, you didn’t have any time to do so: you felt a warm and burning feeling in your eyes, after a few seconds, your head spun to the side and you fell strangely asleep.
When you awoke, you immediately jumped to your feet. You didn’t remember falling asleep at all. Worryingly, your eyes scanned the dining hall, making sure the owner of the castle was not around. Alas, he was there, swirling some wool through a spinning wheel, and to your surprise, gold came out of it. You were fascinated by the strands of gold and approached, which made the man raise his head to grin at you.
“Finally awake dearie! You should be grateful I let you nap, but the castle isn’t going to clean itself. I am expecting some guests over.” He requested, implying you had to yet again to scrub and wash.
“I had the strangest dream.” You told him as your eyes were mesmerized by the spinning. “A boy… He made a deal with you to ensure my safety. He was cute.”
“Interesting. Keep those silly dreams to yourself dearie, love… is a weakness.” The Dark One declared, now you could finally put a title on his head, your mind was extremely foggy. “Don’t forget you're here because that good for nothing pirate captain threw you out.”
“Of course. I will never betray you.” You confidently replied.
“Good. Now, run along and do your chores. I expect this castle to shine, I want to see my face on every wall or ground.”
Nodding, you decided to leave him and to indeed go back to your chores. Still, the image of that boy haunted your mind. Who was he? He felt so real… Too bad you couldn’t even remember his name, but you did remember his eyes, blue or steel gray, like a cloudy day before the storm. And he had a scar as well. As you reached the cleaning supply and started to mop one of the hallways, you couldn’t help but stupidly smile at the mere thought of seeing him again, in reality or one of your dreams.

Dare me once more (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Y/N POV:
As they began to walk, Y/N slowly started to doubt if she could even trust the second in command due the lack of information about him. From what she heard he was no pleasant person to be around, so she was quite surprised about her own courage to accompany him.
With each step further she shook that frightful feeling off, and with a last turn back she made sure that no one saw her.
"Where are we going?" Y/N gave her best in hiding her burning excitement, hoping this would be no dumb idea. The second in command was a mystery himself, learning to know a place he liked might say something about him.
"It's a surprise." Felix gave back with a raspy chuckle, making a small game out of this. There was no turning back now, she already decided to come along. Y/N curiously watched his back as he shoved some branches aside, leading the way through the narrow bushes.
The cool breeze of the night was brushing past Y/N's skin, and the following shiver did not go unnoticed to the second in command. Without being asked he pulled his cloak from his shoulders and placed it over hers, revealing himself to her for the first time. His hair looked gray in the pale moonlight. They threw long shadows over his illuminated face, allowing to hide half of his expressions.
"Thank you." Y/N smiled up to him. "Are you always up that late at night?" She then asked and he gave a dry nod.
"It's the most adventurous time." Felix gave back with a soft smile. "Besides, I often have to patrol the island."
That must be lonely after all these years on Neverland and it did not really sound like fun. The second in command never opened up to someone, so his emotions were a big mystery, who could tell if he actually liked being alone. No boys dared to seize him up, no matter how careless Felix was. Was it out of fear or straight out respect towards their second in command? The girl almost forgot his title as she walked next to him, and that this was not any boy she accompanied but Pan's right hand himself. He had brought her onto patrol too, but no other girl or boy. Now he did it again. Y/N had to admit that interest towards him kept growing inside of her, but she was still not truly convinced that his feelings were mutual.
"Why bring me? What about the other boys and girls?" She asked with a frown, then replacing it with a brief smile in order not to seem too interrogating.
"I would rather be with you if I can." He said. No further explanation why. "Watch your steps." Felix then remarked, putting his flat hand against her to prevent another step forwards into a mess of big, tangling roots from the trees, their vines blocking the way. The second in command showed her a route through everything as if he studied the steps like a dancing choreography. Just as Felix left the tangling mess of trees and bushes, a small clearing was finally revealed hidden down the hills. She was rich with fruits and greens, large trees anchoring high up into the sky, encircling the rushing waterfall that crashed into a beautiful lagoon. But the most fascinating thing about this place were the flowers. Unlike daytime, that ocean of blossoms started to glow in a pinkish light, shimmering up into the sky, as if someone had set them on fire. It was beautiful. Y/N had to admit that she doubted Felix at first, but when she turned to him, the lost boy already gave her a goofy smirk.
"Wait for the best part." He grinned down at her with a wink, then grabbed for a stone to throw it far into the flower field. Her eyes followed the rock cautiously, not expecting anything wild. The second the stone hit the ground, her eyes widened in awe. The flowers revealed themselves to be a swarm of thousands butterflies, swiftly filling the night air like a burning storm, reflecting the moonlight with a sudden green-pinkish shimmering. Y/N looked at it in awe, her jaw slightly dropping as she just stared.
"Did I promise too much?" Felix purred teasingly, stretching his face closer to hers from aside. His ashen hair threw long shadows onto his face, sharpening his jagged features. He looked paler under the moonlight, as if he was a porcelain doll with a cracked face. The long scar running over his cheek up towards between his brows made Y/N burn inside to know where he got it from. The other girls were wrong to call this him ugly, and Y/N would lie to herself if he did not excite her somehow. The girl looked up to the second in command and when they locked eyes, she felt herself getting pulled deeper into his intense gaze. It was just like an invitation for another kiss. She could slightly feel his breath on her face, but just before the girl could say something, Felix leaned down. His face came so incredibly close, but instead of aiming for a kiss, he moved his head past her, to pick up a small flower. He looked at it as he twirled it between his fingers, and when he looked back at Y/N, he placed the flower in her hair. She could not resist letting out a satisfied hum, showing him how much she appreciated his actions.
"My little floret." Felix whispered just like a short breath, barely audible as he gently let the back of his fingers glide down her cheek in a light caress. Y/N felt her whole face heat up, that she almost believed she could light a wood stove with it. She was speechless.
"Thank you for bringing me here." Y/N said sheepishly, and when he wiped some hair behind her ears, the girl could feel her knees weaken again. Did he really mean it when he apologized for a kiss? Deep inside there was nothing else she wanted right now. She wanted to be lifted up by his strong arms again, just like he did back in her cottage, to hold her and just feel his touch. Felix seemed so brave to come to Y/N after what happened. Not just that the girls had mocked him, now the boys were seizing him up as well. What would have happened to him, if he was rejected by her? It was already impossible for Y/N to ever consider rejecting the tall boy, that's how anchored he was in the back of her had that quickly. The girl was a teenager after all, so was Felix. Now he had lived on this island for so long, but never had another girl seen him with a love interest before. Was it foolish to assume that Y/N could be the first? Maybe, but she really wanted to be his.
"Why did you apologize?" She suddenly asked, using her last piece of her firm voice to form the bold question. "Back at my hut, you apologized for kissing me. Why?"
Felix's ears reddened, and the corner of his lips sneaked up into a shy, nervous smile. "Weren't I supposed to?" He asked and pressed his brows together. Was he playing with her, or did he seriously not know?
"Do it again." It bursted out of the girl without thinking even for a second about it. When she did, Y/N held her breath as she looked up to the second in command, fearful about his response. Felix gave the girl a slow, conforming nod. Then he gently placed his hands on her shoulders, giving her an intense look, before his lips would part.
"I am sorry for kissing you." He said out firm, his gaze intense and serious. The girl wanted to sink into the ground. That was not what she asked for, and she questioned his interest towards her even further. This was not what she meant. He was so stupid and cute at the same time.
"Actually I want…-" She stopped. Was it really necessary to say it out loud?
"You want … what?" He asked innocently, his eyebrows pressed together once more. The boy could definitely not read the signs. Was there nothing easier he could ask her? Y/N had  to save herself before she would mess up and embarrass herself. If he did not kiss her now by himself she could not put herself into the open like that.
"I-…eh, I just wanted to ask why you came to me in the middle of the night, again?"
Felix obviously blushed. "Isn't it obvious?" He asked with furrowed brows. She did not know, so it was definitely not obvious. The first idea that came to mind was him liking her again, more than just a liking. No matter how obvious things were, none of them seemed to grasp each other's intentions, and for a moment Y/N even accused him of playing dumb, just to tease her emotions out of her. She did not like games, but also feared to speak her thoughts out loud, in the end she could be wrong after all and just spiraled herself into negative thoughts.
"Wanda guards you like a dog."
He was right about that. "Actually it's not just Wanda, they all watch you like hawks. Can I have a chance to prove to you that I am not what they say I am without having them in our backs?"
"I don't listen to them. Not saying a thing just avoided drama-"
"-June and Wanda, I know." Felix interrupted with a frustrated sigh as if he knew that it was not worth messing with them after what they said when he had kissed Y/N. They would only ruin the mood or simsimply sabotage the relationship from the start. Y/N did not want that. They claimed he was ugly, but standing in front of him only gave Y/N a tingling sensation inside her guts. He was so beautiful with the scar. There was so much she did not know about him, but Y/N could already feel a crush starting to develop. How in the hell should she know why she loved his appearance, unlike the other girls, or why she found him so mysterious, or why she just wanted to get touched by him again? Maybe it was just the hormones of a teenage girl reacting to a boy her age, or it was indeed more, and the girl really started to like him.
Just kiss me! Stop talking and kiss me!
"Let's not tell them that you see me and I'll show you the best places myself!." Felix then suggested as he took a step aside to open his arms wide open.
So you are the adventure, Y/N thought and smiled with a confirmative nod. Felix started to grin like a happy child, before he strutted past her into the flower field where he took place . She copied him and sat down onto the ground, throwing little rocks around to watch the glowing butterflies arise into the dark air. Now matter how many times the girl would let them rise up, it would never get boring.
Y/N looked at Felix who reached more stones over to her, just to have him already staring at her with melting eyes. He leaned back, resting on his arms to get a better look.
"Will you write in your diary about me?" He teased jokingly.
"Only if you write about me in yours!" The girl teased back, and both glanced at each other with a wholesome laughter.
"I thought you girls all have one." Felix chuckled.
"I can't speak for the other girls." Y/N gave back with a shrug.
"I think they are cute." Felix said with a hum, the corner of his lips rising up to show some dimples.
"It's all cute until one of you boys have fun reading them out loud." Y/N gave back unconvinced and raised one of her eyebrows.
"Yeah?" Felix laughed and shook his head. Then he suddenly gave her an intense stare. "I would write pages down, just for you to read. My life shall be an open book for you."
"Just for me?" Y/N gave back, tilting her head over her shoulder to look up from under her brows in a skeptical manner. "-And for all the boys who read it out loud."
That would be a bad idea, considering that both wanted to let this stay a secret. Y/N liked the idea of sneaking around behind the other's back, giving her a rush of excitement running through her veins. He obviously did too.
"Then I have to make my adventures unforgettable instead. For that I need to know what you like."
"Only if you tell me about yourself."
Felix licked his lips and nodded. They started with the usual: favorite colors, animals, dishes and more, then the first personal informations were being shared: fears and dreams. Felix started to tell her a few stories from his adventures on the island, and Y/N moved a little closer to get some warmth, when Felix suddenly paused. His eyes narrowed down to the girl leaning against him to realise what was happening.
"Are you cold?" He had already given her his cloak and it was truly warm enough but Y/N needed an excuse for scooting closer. The boy did not hesitate to open his arms for her to nuzzle against his chest and she did not hesitate to lean in.
"Tell me about your best moment on Neverland." She filled the silence with a humming and closed her eyes for just a moment. The girl was not even tired, but she doomed herself with that comfortable position, feeling how her eyelids got heavier. She did not even hear a single word of his answer before she drifted off into a deep slumber.
Y/N woke up in the comfort of her own back. With tired eyes and hands groping over the blankets she made sure that this was no hallucination while wondering how she got here- or if she ever left in the first place!
Felix must have brought her back while she was asleep, so no other girl would notice her disappear. Or everything was just a wild, realistic dream and he was never in a flower field with her.
Y/N turned around to stretch, just to find a flower on her pillow- the one and only Felix had put in her hair the night before.
Not a dream.
The thought of him bringing her home was enough to give her butterflies. She pictured him carrying her in his arms through the night and felt her cheeks burn up. He could have woken her up, but for some reason decided against it. Y/N wanted nothing more than to see him again and ask him why. Maybe she only found the right excuse to look for him again. She got dressed and immediately went to search for him without raising any unnecessary suspicion, but the second in command was nowhere in sight. Before the chance to leave the camp was even optional, Violet suddenly came running towards her. The other girls were nowhere in sight.
"Hey, what are you doing all alone?" Y/N asked surprised. It was unusual of them all having tasks at the same time.
"A few boys ate something bad so the others got their tasks for the day. I got lucky because I just woke up. Pan also wanted some target practise for the less… talented ones."
"Rebecca?" Y/N asked with a sigh.
"You know that she isn't that good with bows," Violet mumbled, shamefully. "Or traps. Or knives-"
"Or anything at all?" The word sounded harsher than she meant.
"She can cook the meat, but she can't kill it. Nick thinks that is a problem, so does Wanda."
"And you think that's right?" Y/N huffed and Violet sunk her head. "I don't see what you love about Nick." She then slipped out without thinking about it. Violet shot her head back up and widened her eyes, "How do you know?"
"Please," She then added with shaking features. "Don't tell anyone! I promise I won't ever judge you for anything ever!"
Not even for liking Felix?
Y/N should stop with that rush of thoughts before her little crush would turn into something more. But how could she not like him after she even received her own nickname? It was more than Violet and Wanda ever got from Nick.
"He plays with you." Y/N replied. Violet turned away. It was simply a truth she was not ready to face yet.
"He can be so nasty, you know." Violet gave her a side-along gaze, seeking for confirmation that Y/N could not deny but give her within a small nod.
"Sometimes He is a nasty bitch." Y/N confirmed and both went silent. Then, suddenly, both bursted out in laughter. There was nothing more to talk about.
"It feels good to have someone to connect to." Violet hummed and received the same heartful sound. Then she turned on her heels and waved with her hand to follow.
"Let's get something to eat." She eagerly led them downhill to the boys' cooking cottage to get some ingredients for the breakfast. Inside the cabin was Simon and Felix. At the sight of him Y/N could feel the heat inside her body rise, hoping that no one paid attention to her face. Violet stopped for a second, but the shark-like eyes had already detected her, so she stepped further in.
"I-" Violet stopped and seemed trying to remember what she wanted to say, due incredible nervosity caused by his presence alone. "Can you step aside?"
Felix looked behind him to the cabinet, then back to the red haired girl before he would step aside with a polite bow.
"You can take some meat that I dried yesterday." He offered. Violet just stared at him full of surprise, not knowing how to react after never really speaking to him.
"Eh…yeah, sure, thanks a lot, Felix." She then said and quickly took everything else she needed. On the way outside she looked at Y/N with widened eyes, wider than usual, forming with her lips a soundless, "What was that?"
Y/N shrugged and strutted back uphill to their own cottages. For her it was clear that the second in command intended to be nice, especially after witnessing the girls' dislike towards him after the game. Stupid game, without it they would not have bothered about him any further, right? On the other hand, Y/N would never have taken interest in him that quickly. Felix had not caught her eye for the first time that night, so it was not a matter of an if, but rather a question of when.
"He was so… nice." The other girl said so surprised that Y/N wondered if she really thought it was uncommon for others to witness this.
"What do you mean?" Y/N laughed without really talking her words seriously, but at the sight of her startled face she stopped. Violet was truly started.
"When I first got here, Wanda was already here for years. She told me that Felix is dangerous and vile, that he would hurt other people for fun and every word he said was poison. She described him as this savage monster that would smite everyone looking his way. Truth be told-" Violet came closer and looked intensely at her with a tilted head,"-I was scared shitless."
Sounded just like Wanda. She loved to exaggerate and spread rumors. They might have started on the wrong foot and the chubby girl never forgave him for that. Y/N looked down to the path leading to the camp and shook her head. "No. I don't want to believe that."
"I won't judge you, but beware, I saw his violence with my own eyes. Nothing you really liked."
No, probably not, but there was a reason why Pan made him second in command and not any of the other violent, stupid boys. There was more behind it than just being strong and brutal. The second in command was surely strong, but he also had the wits to make it through on this forsaken island. No one was better trained or better skilled to be teamed up with the green dressed, elvish-looking brat. They left the conversation at that and changed the topic to Y/N's satisfaction. It was not like she did not want to talk about Felix, but she was not ready to open up about her true emotions about him yet. Besides, Y/N did not know if a relationship with him would even work out. During the afternoon Y/N grabbed for her books again, hoping that the second in command would show up to make her day a little bit more thrilling. Violet went into the woods to find the perfect branch that she could shape into a spear, so the moment would have been perfect. There was no sight of him but the burning desire to see him again bothered the girl so much that she could barely focus on the pages. Within every paragraph she stopped and fell into a daydream that lasted a few minutes until she would keep reading again and repeat that cycle all over again. Just as the sun slowly made its way down, the other girls returned from their tasks to join the dinner that one of the boys prepared. Y/N hoped that this was the chance to see the second in command again and maybe find a way to meet him afterwards. Felix was nowhere near the dinning tables, so Y/N kept looking while Violet was busy stuffing her mouth with potatoes. After a short moment Y/N stopped searching. Felix had started to avoid big gatherings since the game, so it was no surprise that Y/N did not see him at the table or anywhere inside the camp. The lost boys had started to pick on him and joined the girls’ gossip, mostly badmouthing his looks. They were glad to finally have found something that might have given them an emotional reaction. Cocky little bastards. It was all fun and games to bully, as long as none of them was the target. Wanda would always start and just like predators the boys would jump right onto it and join. Most of them had nothing better to do, others were just plain pieces of shit.
"He gave me this creepy stare all the time during training." June started the slander of the evening with such a small statement.
"If I were Felix I would cry when looking in a mirror." Ben snorted out in response. He was not attractive either with pimples and crooked teeth.
"Yeah, how would I ever get pussy with that face?" Another one joined, he was uglier than the other in addition to his bad hygiene.
This evening it was not any better than the other ones. With the second in command absent it only got worse, the insults wilder and more creative. There was nothing better to do for them anyway, and after so many bad experiences with Felix, most boys seemed to be happy to have found a new passion. Y/N stared at her plate in best effort to focus on her meal and ignore the badmouthing around her. She bit her tongue, wanting to stand up for him, but fearing the others reaction way too much.
"I bet he stinks," June crackled and gently stubbed Wanda with her elbow. "He doesn’t look like he bathes often."
Y/N bit her tongue and took a quick sip of water not to show any expressions, but deep inside she was raging. The assumptions got to her mind and for a second she felt an urge to defend him and tell the girls the truth, but then she realized how everyone's eyes would be on them- not just now, but always. Besides she was not ready to tell Felix what she felt and making a scene would reach his ears. Maybe it was not such a bad thing after all. If fear were not stronger, she thought and sunk her head back to the plate.
"He does look somewhat like a Neanderthal." Wanda said and lifted her nose as if she was proud of her comment.
"With that stupid club of his definitely!" June laughed.
"He is also rude and savage like one." Wanda added.
"He was actually nice to me today." Violet suddenly  blurted out excited about her new experience, just to have Wanda roll theatrically with her eyes. She looked over to June who returned a disbelieving face. Y/N watched the scene and as she did more rage filled her guts.
"He must be desperate." She said and shook her head and  stuck her fork into her food, ignoring Violet like she never said anything. The red haired girl pressed her lips together and sank her head, losing any of her sudden joy. With that the gossiping about the second in command stopped. Y/N was glad for that. She would rather spend another night with him than stay all evening in the camp with nasty lost boys and mean girls. It was better for him not to be around, for Y/N was not sure if his presence would stop any of them from letting some rude comments slip. Once they were done eating, Wanda, June and Rebecca went back to their cottages. There was no energy left in them to attend the camp and the boys were just too loud. Y/N barely ate, neither did Rebecca. She looked tired and drained.
"I think I will go straight to bed." She let out a yawn and stretched herself before she rose from her seat. The tall girl would go to sleep, but Wanda and June could return, so Y/N had to be careful. The lost boys could also be troublesome, so she needed to make up a plan to meet up with him again without anyone's awareness. Y/N turned her head and tried looking for the second in command again, hoping that he would be in the camp by now. To her surprise he sat near the bonfire already staring at her. Once she was caught looking for him, the corner of his lips crept up into a smug grin. Y/N immediately turned her head away in embarrassment. She had been too obvious, and she wondered about how long he might have stared at her until she found him, or if the others noticed him returning to the camp. None of the boys stopped gossiping and maybe they just did not care. More reason to let this stay a secret. Y/N avoided his burning gaze and shifted her head over to Violet, hoping that she would find a reason to leave her side soon. As long as she was by her side it was impossible to go and talk to the second in command, something she wanted to do more than anything else. Y/N could feel his eyes burning holes into her, and she grew more impatient with each second passing by. The day had stretched out so long in the afternoon, so how hard could it be to get some time for herself? A simple excuse could be the key, or the truth to tell her that she needed time alone was reason enough.
"He is coming here." Violet suddenly grinned and looked at Y/N, nodding over towards the bonfire. Y/N froze, then looked up, just to see Nick strutting towards the two girls. With an relieved breath the girl let her head sink and ignored the meager lost boy that probably came only for Violet.
"What are you two up to?" He asked with a short wink towards the red haired girl. "Busy? We're playing some games down the river if you want to join.."
Y/N shook her head, but finally she was getting rid of her friend. There was no chance Violet would miss going with her crush, besides, it was obvious that the boy invited Wanda too, or planned to. Y/N was never really sure if he just acted innocently kind, or if he simply played with both girls just to see how far he would get. Probably the second thought.
"Sure we would love to!" Violet hummed excited and turned with glistening eyes towards Y/N.
"She would love to." Y/N did not really feel like playing games, besides that this would be the perfect way to get rid of her friend. Violet grinned at her with a thankful wink, leaving her all alone at the table. Once they walked off, Y/N's eyes immediately shifted over to Felix' seat, just to see it completely empty. She kept looking but there was no sign of him. Filled with disappointment, she rose herself and strutted out of the camp uphill to read in her cottage. Halfway up she suddenly heard some rustling in the bushes. First the girl did not pay any attention, but when little rocks landed in front of her feet she stopped and turned to investigate what was going on.
"Felix?" She recognized his features. He shushed her and waved with his hands to signal that she should step behind the protective barrier of trees and bushes. "What are you doing?
"I thought it would be more secure from unwanted eyes this way, and I could not wait for the night to see you again." He whispered with a dark, raspy voice.
"You brought me back yesterday. Thanks for that."  Y/N answered in a warm tone and smiled up to him.
"Yeah I just wondered why you wanted me to stay." He blurted out with a deadpan face. Y/N on the other side could feel her eyes widen without any self-awareness. Her facial reaction slowly broke through Felix's facade, clearly raising doubts in him.
"Wait-" Y/N slightly shook her head in denial. " I can't remember anything after falling asleep on you."
"But we kissed last night!" Felix blurted out confused, furrowing his brows and looking unsure around as if he could escape this uncomfortable situation he got himself in. Y/N gave him a startled look.
"When?'' She blurted out with the same confusion. "I can't remember."
Felix already saw in her face that he had said too much and that he should not have said something in the first place. He went paler than the moon above, not knowing how to stop making it worse.
"After I brought you back to your bed. You were asleep and…." While he said it, the second in command quickly realized how creepy he must have sounded and stopped mid sentence, looking down at the lost girl with big eyes.
"You kissed me while I slept?" Y/N asked with a sly grin. This was interesting.
"No! Eh, well yes… But only because you told me to!" He squealed out anxiously with terror in his eyes.
"But how could I tell you when I was asleep?" Y/N kept teasing innocently. He would not kiss her simply because she told him to. Felix was not a desperate type of boy, or else he would have tried a move on a girl before.
"I don't know… but you did!" Felix whined out, frustrated in fear of losing more control over this situation than he already had.
"So you can kiss me while I sleep, but you can't when I am awake? She claimed, teasing him a little bit more. Felix was not able to respond properly, the only thing that left his mouth was inaudible stammering of denial.
"Kiss me then." Y/N commanded firmly, interrupting his nervous stammering.
"What?" Felix froze in place. The girl stepped closer, her eyes glistening in the dark.
"Kiss me just like in that stupid game." Y/N commanded and placed her hand against his chest. His heart was pumping loud and clear against his rips, vibrating through his skin to her palm. The most relaxing tune. Felix stared at her, eyes widened and mouth agape. He parted his lips to say something, but choked on his words once more. This time he could bring out no words.
"Well, I-" He slightly shifted back to get some space, just to have her close the distance even more, their hips almost touching now.
"Felix…" She pleaded at him with big eyes, causing him to swallow hard. It was like a little game to Y/N, a game that he hopefully played along. The thought of him kissing her while she slept woke something inside the lost girl. It burned a thousand times stronger than her curiosity, like a million suns ready to explode. She wanted him, the second in command, the beast of Neverland and hand of Pan. It was him who she wanted to give herself to. At the sound of her voice, Felix could not resist closing the gap between them, slowly shifting forwards and leaning in. Then, suddenly mid-move, he stopped as if he seemed to catch himself again."Can we at least go somewhere-"
"Y/N!" Wanda's voice echoed down the hill. "Violet? Where are you two?"
They both froze in place. That Felix was unamused was an understatement. He was really not fond of Wanda for her behavior towards him, so he quickly stalked away before she would detect him and cause any drama for the both of them. It allowed Y/N to step out of the bushes and walk up the hill before Wanda came close enough to get suspicious.
"Oh there you are." She smiled. Her eyes scanned the area, hopefully not detecting the second in command hushing through the darkness. "Where is Violet?"
"Violet went with Nick down to the river." Y/N answered honestly, well aware that it would probably cause a bad reaction, but gave her peace to be alone.
"Snake." Wanda hissed and squinted her eyes, yanking her head away. She wanted her own truth, but in the end it probably meant nothing.
"Well, you're stuck with me then. Rebecca and June went to bed early.”
"I wanted to get some rest too." Y/N lied quickly and furrowed her brows together in guilt. “Headache.”
"Oh…" The chubby girl said. "Get well soon."
Y/N nodded before she walked off uphill. There was just something better in mind to do, and she knew that Felix would probably return once she was all alone. She waited inside her cottage until most of the boys would go to sleep and the darkness roamed on the island. With a burning light of a candle she hoped to signal the second in command that she was still awake and waiting, trying to eavesdrop on every sound that alerted his arrival.  Nothing happened. Time went by and the lost girl still sat all by herself, feeling how her limbs got weaker every minute until she finally decided to call it a night.

Peter Pan being clingy would include...
Tumblr media
• the thing is, it's unusual for Pan to be clingy
• but it's not something you'd complain about
• even he sometimes needs more attention
• acts like this when he's worried or stressed
• gets anxious or upset if he can't be with you all the time
• calls you love, darling, sweetheart more than usual
• probably cracks a joke or two
• follows you around the camp and island like a lost puppy
• he just makes sure to be near you
• if he needs to get some work done he will give you something to be also busy with and keeps an eye on you
• you can feel his green eyes on you all the time
• during the night he lets you hold him
• tells you about about one of the many things that he has done or seen on the island
• loves when you caress his hair and his strong arms
• the little smirk never leaves his face

One & Only - Peter Pan
Peter Pan x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Word count: 1,781
Requested:Can I request a Peter Pan OUAT imagine? Reader has been the only girl on the island for a while and is very cold to her the moment she sees her. She goes ballistic in the middle of the camp when she sees Pan kiss Wendy on the beach or something. A few of the lost boys try to calm Y/N down before she hucks a drinking glass at a tree and yells, "THAT STUPID FUCKING BLONDE BITCH!!" And runs to her treehouse. Felix knows about her feelings for Pan but swore he'd never tell anyone. When Pan gets back he can hear Y/N crying in her treehouse and goes "Which one of you did it?!" Not realizing that it was him because he didn't know she was anywhere on the beach. - @anon
Authors Note: Thank you for requesting! I did change some things minorly but not much. I enjoyed writing for Once Upon A Time again. Especially for Peter Pan.

“Y/n” Felix greeted as the y/h/c-ed girl walked over to him.
“Felix.” Y/n smiled, greeting back the tall boy. Y/n nodds towards the new boys. “How are they doing?”
“Not bad for newbies.” Felix shrugged his shoulders. Y/n and Felix were just 2 of the ones that helped train, but not always.
“Maybe we’ll have to toughen the training.” Y/n scanned the group of new lost boys.
“I believe you're right.” Felix agreed as he noticed a few mistakes the boys were making that he was sure she did as well.
“Have you seen Pan?” Y/n asked, looking around and not seeing the boy in green anywhere.
Felix shakes his head with squinted eyes. “Not since earlier. Have you tried his thinking tree?”
Y/n shook her head ‘no’ and let out a frustrated sigh. “Yeah, he wasn’t there.”
Felix nudged her before saying. “He’ll come around sooner or later.”
Felix knew Y/n has had feelings for Peter for a long time. But he’d never say anything unless they were alone, because even though some of the lost boys were pretty sure Y/n and Peter had mutual feelings for eachother it wasn’t their place to say.
“Yeah.” Y/n nodded looking around making sure there wasn’t anything for her to do before telling Felix. “I’m gonna go down to the beach, I’ll be back later.”
Felix nodded watching her as she left knowing that the beach was her thinking place. Before turning his attention back on the boys.
So Y/n went walking her normal route down to the beach. When she got to where the trees end right before the beach Y/n stopped. She saw Peter standing there on the beach, but he wasn’t alone. He was with Wendy Darling. A girl that the shadow brought but she wasn’t lost, she didn’t belong on Neverland.
But what really shocked her was what happened next. Peter pulled Wendy into a heated kiss. Y/n instantly reached up to cover her mouth, out of shock and to keep her gasp from being heard. Y/n had to turn around and she ran back to camp not wanting to watch it any longer. As she ran back to camp Y/n could feel tears welling up but she wouldn’t let them fall. Not yet.
Once she got back to camp she picked up and threw a drinking glass that was nearby against a tree. Watching it shatter. The lost boys noticed her distress, so two of the older ones, Felix and Devin went over to Y/n. Being two that are very close to the lost girl.
“Hey. hey Y/n.” Felix reached out to her laying a hand on her shoulder guiding her to the edge of camp so no one could eavesdrop. “Hey, what happened?” he asked with worried eyes.
Y/n shook her head not wanting to look at them and possibly break in front of them.
“Y/n please. Tell us what happened?” Devan pleaded, not liking to see her this way. Like she was gonna either murder someone or break down crying.
Y/n could barely even glance at them. So Felix tried again.
“Y/n/n.” Felix called her name again and this time get’s her attention. Once Y/n finally looked at him he asked her. “What happened?”
“I went down to the beach, and I saw him kissing that little Darling bitch!” Y/n told them with a low angry voice. But Felix and Devan could tell she was more hurt than angry.
“He what?” Devan asked with raised brows in shock, looking towards Felix. The two thought Peter liked Y/n.
“He was kissing that bitch.” she repeated herself, this time though her words sink into her own mind and Y/n can’t help it when a tear falls.
The boys look at her with sympathy.
“Why don’t you go get some rest.” Felix wrapped his arm around her shoulders pulling her into his side. Trying his best to provide her with comfort.
“Yeah” Y/n sighed defeated, before heading back to her own treehouse. The boys watched her walk off sadly.
Hours later Peter showed back up at camp after leaving Wendy back in her cage. He looked around and saw someone was missing.
“Where’s Y/n?” Pan asked after looking around the camp and he did not see her.
“Her treehouse.” Devan spoke up after silence was all Pan was met with. Obviously no one wanted to be the one to tell him about the day's events and only two knew the reason.
Once Peter nodded and left off to go see his lost girl Felix scoffed, pissed off.
“I wouldn’t have even gave him that much.” Felix grumbled pissed off at how his leader hurt his friend.
As Peter Pan got closer to Y/n’s very own treehouse he heard her crying. It made him stop in his tracks, and the longer he heard her cry the more enraged Pan got. So he headed back to the campsite.
“Which one of you did it?” Pan growled with anger in his eyes looking at every single lost boy.
“Did what?” Devan questioned why they were suddenly getting a look that could kill.
“Who made Y/n cry?” Peter elaborated with narrowed eyes.
“It wasn’t any of us.” Felix scoffed with his back facing Peter.
“What?” He raised a brow at his second in command.
Felix turned to face Pan with his own set of narrowed eyes. “It wasn’t any of us that made our lost girl cry. You did.”
Pan furrowed his brow in confusion. “I did?”
Felix wanted to speak his mind but also knew now wasn’t the time. “Have you forgotten that Neverland only has one lost girl?”
“Of course I haven’t.” Peter gave him an observed look. How could he possibly forget that.
“Well you could’ve fooled all of us, with how much time you’ve been spending with Wendy. You know the girl that doesn’t belong here!” Felix stood up to give Pan a piece of his mind, not all but a piece. He was pissed that Peter had been neglecting their lost girl in favor of a girl that shouldn’t even be on Neverland.
The two stood there for a few minutes as Felix watched Peter realize his mistakes and left to go console his lost girl. Felix sat down again and muttered under his breath. “I’d grovel if I were you.” Felix’s anger wasn’t going away anytime soon. Even if Y/n forgave him.
Once Peter reached the treehouse he could hear that Y/n’s sobs had died down so he approached the door.
“Y/n.” Peter called out after knocking. “Can I come in?”
There was a silent sound of a mumbled ‘yeah’ once he heard that Peter entered.
“Why are you asking? Isn’t it your island, you can do what you want?” Y/n said with a roll of her eyes from where she sat on her bed.
“It’s called respecting your privacy.” Pan says as he leaned to the side to see her face and he noted the tear stains on her cheeks.
“That's a new one.” She scoffed. Normally he just entered when he pleased.
“Please.” Peter said it in hopes of getting her to look at him.
“What do you want?” Y/n said, finally turning her head to look at Peter.
“I want to apologize.” Peter could now see clearly the tear tracks on her cheeks and her eyes were also red from crying.
“For what?” Her voice almost sounded like a whimper to Peter’s ears.
“For ignoring you and being to busy to give you my attention as of late. I’m sorry for neglecting you.” Peter aplogized as he moved into the space further and sat next to her.
“That's nice and apology expected.” Y/n gave him a small smile and a nod.
Peter smiled, letting out a relieved breath. “Good. I hated hearing you cry.”
“That’s not why I was crying.” Y/n looked back down at her hands in her lap, when she noticed he was looking at her confused Y/n let out an awkward laugh. “Don’t get me wrong it was part of it but not what set it off.”
Now he was concerned again. What hurt his lost girl? “What made you cry? What set it off?”
“Do you still love me?” Y/n asked meekly, honestly scared of his answer. Yes they told each other they love each other but they never put a label on what they were.
“Of course! You’re mine. You're my lost girl, my Y/n. Why would you ask that?” How could she think he didn’t love her anymore? How could she think he’d stop?
“If you feel that way then why were you kissing Wendy?” Y/n looked at him with wide teary eyes.
“What?” Pan furrowed his brow, caught off guard.
“I saw you. On the beach.” She mumbled looking back down to her lap once again. Y/n felt embarrassed at catching him and telling him about it.
“Love, it’s not like that. It’s the farest thing from love between me and Wendy.” Peter moved to kneel in front of her grabbing her hands in his tilting her chin up to look at him after a moment.
“Pirates were not far off the coast, my guess trying to spy. They're always looking for a weakness. I can’t have them try to hurt you.” Peter moved his hand from under her chin to cup her cheek before he continued to explain. “I wanted them to think I care about Wendy. If they try something I’d rather they think she’s the one with a place in my heart not you. Wendy’s expendable. You're not.”
“You’ve just been spending all your time with her since she got here.” She didn’t want to seem needy but she went from having Peter all to herself all the time to not even seeing him every couple days, sometimes not even talking.
“I need her and her brothers to do my bidding. That's all.” Peter tell’s her, brushing her hair back and scooted closer. “I’m sorry that I’ve neglected you. I promise that’ll change from this moment forward.”
“I hope so.” Y/n gave him a sad but hopefully smile.
“Hey, Peter Pan never fails.” Peter stated as he got up off the floor and sits back on her bed and lifted Y/n up and onto his lap.
“I hope it continues to stay that way.” Y/n smiled nuzzling into him extremely tired from crying and the emotional stress.

Word Count: 1,501
Author’s Note: FINALLY I HAVE RELEASED A STORY! My first Peter Pan story is finally here, so sorry for the wait! I just recently started getting back into OUAT so that’s why I wanted to write for Peter Pan and I’m getting so many ideas for him so I hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
Y/N is the first and only lost girl on Neverland. How she got to Neverland she doesn’t know since she just woke up on the island but why she was taken there she does know.
Y/N is a sixteen year old girl but she didn’t have your typical teenage girl life. Her mother died when she was just eight years old. Her mother died by drowning after saving her from drowning.
She took her mother’s death hard but no one took it harder than her father. He started to drink heavily which made him emotional and physically abuse Y/N. He would yell at her by telling her that it’s her fault that he mother is dead and that she’s nothing but a fucking mistake. He’s even told her that it should’ve been her that died instead of her mother.
There would be some nights that her father would get to mad at her that he would slap her so hard it would knock her down onto the floor or knock her into the wall or another piece of furniture breaking it. Then that would make him even more angry and say that it was her fault she broke something. No matter what Y/N did, it wasn’t good enough for her father.
When Y/N woke up on Neverland she was immediately found by a boy named Felix. Of course, Felix knew that Y/N was brought by the shadow. Before Felix could take her to Peter he had already showed up. Peter immediately noticed the bruises on Y/N’s arms and a big bruise on her cheek. After introducing each other Y/N told them everything that she knew. Peter asked about her bruises and she told him. Peter knew that he couldn’t just send her back to her abusive father. She’s been through enough and if he sends her back who knows if what would happen. He could end up killing her.
Peter let her stay and let her become the first lost girl. Everyone and Y/N thought that her background was the only reason why Peter let her stay on the island but Peter had another reason.
********************
Y/N had just came back to camp after her daily morning walk she goes on. She saw Peter and Felix talking so she decided to walk over to them. “Hey guys!” Y/N said to the boys with a kind smile. “Hey Y/N.” Felix said back. “I got to go.” Peter said and walked away from them.
“Okay, why the fuck does he keep doing that!” Y/N said quickly becoming frustrated. Y/N has a good and close relationship with all the boys including Peter but recently every time she approaches him, he walks away from her. “I don’t know.” Felix shrugged. He does know why Peter keeps avoiding her but he knows he’s not the one to tell her.
“Did I do something wrong?” Y/N asked him with sadness in her eyes. “Listen Y/N, this is between you and Pan.” Felix told her. “You’re going to have to go talk to him.” Felix added which earned him a nod from her since she knew he was right.
********************
As the day went on Y/N thought about what she was going to say to Peter. She always gets nervous when she goes to talk to Peter by herself. Y/N knows that she’s starting to develop feelings for Peter which does scare her. She knows how private Peter is. She knows how he closes off certain feelings. Maybe that’s why Peter keeps running away from her. Maybe he knows that she’s growing feelings for him.
Once Y/N knew what she was going to say to Peter she made her way to Peter’s cabin. When she got to Peter’s cabin door she could feel her nerves start to pace and her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. She really wanted to just run away but she knew she couldn’t so she took a deep and calming breath. Once she felt a little calmer she knocked on the door and waited. She was hoping he was in there.
When the door swung open there stood a surprised Peter. He doesn’t ever expect anyone to come to his cabin. “Y/N? What are you doing here?” Peter asked her. “I need to talk to you.” Y/N told him. “I’m busy.” Peter told her. He went to close the door but Y/N quickly stopped it with her hand. “Please Pan! It’s important.” Y/N told him in pleading tone. Peter let out a heavy sigh. He walked out of his cabin and shut the door.
“What do you need to talk to me about?” Peter asked her. “Do you hate me?” Y/N asked him which took him by surprise. She figured she would just get straight to the point. “Do I hate you? What kind of question is that?” Peter asked her with confusion in his voice. “Just please answer the question.” Y/N told him with a heavy sigh. She’s been having that question floating around her mind for what feels like forever. “No, of course I don’t hate you.” Peter answered her while shaking his head.
“Then why do you avoid me or walk away every time I approach you?” Y/N asked him with frustration in her voice. “It’s like you keep running away from me.” She added. “It’s complicated.” Peter told her looking away from her. “What? What do you mean by it’s complicated?” Y/N asked looking at him with confusion in her eyes. Peter just stayed silent since he didn’t know what to say.
“Do you want me to leave?” Y/N asked him which made him quickly look back at her. “Of course not!” Peter told her in a reassuring tone. “Then what is it? Did I do something wrong to make you run away from me?” Y/N said as her eyes started to fill with tears. Peter let out a sigh. Seeing the tears form in her eyes made him realize that he can’t keep in his secret anymore.
“I’m falling in love with you.” Peter confessed which took Y/N by surprise. “You have feelings for me?” Y/N asked in complete shock. Peter just gave her a nod. “I have feelings for you, too.” Y/N confessed to him. “You shouldn’t.” Peter told her. “What do you mean?” Y/N asked him. “Because I’m a fucking mess, Y/N.” Peter told her with a mixture of anger and frustration in his voice.
“I don’t know how to love. I just know how to cause pain to people. I hurt every person that gets close to me.” Peter told her which made her heart ache. “I can show you how to love.” Y/N told him. She went to put her hand onto his cheek but he took a step back from her.
“No.” Peter started. “You can’t. No one can.” Peter told her. He turned away from her and walked away leaving her all by herself.
********************
As days went by Y/N was now the one running away from Peter. Peter feels awful for what he said and every time he goes to apologize she walks away from him.
The lost boys were hanging out together around the camp fire. Peter was sitting by the campfire on a log. He looked over at Y/N who was sitting on a log all by herself away from everyone. Peter stood up and walked over to her.
“Y/N, can I talk to you?” Peter asked her. “No.” Y/N answered without looking at him. She just stared down at the ground. “Please Y/N, it’s really important.” Peter said to her in pleading tone. When Y/N looked up at him she saw the pleading look in his green eyes. Y/N let out a heavy sigh in defeat. “Fine.” Y/N told him standing up from her seat on the log.
Y/N followed Peter in the woods so they were alone. “I want to take you up on your offer.” Peter told her which made Y/N’s heart skip a beat. “You do?” Y/N asked him in a soft tone. “My whole goal was to not hurt you but I obviously fucked that up by ignoring you.” Peter told her. Peter took both of her hands into his and gave them a light squeeze. “I want to be with you. I want you to teach me how to love.” Peter told her as his green eyes stared into her Y/E/C eyes. “Are you sure?” Y/N asked him. She doesn’t want to pressure him into doing something he’s not comfortable with. “Does this answer your question?” Peter started.
Before Y/N could say anything Peter connected his lips with hers. Y/N immediately melted into the kiss. She’s dreamed of this moment for so long that she couldn’t believe that it was actually happening. When they released from the kiss they had to catch their breaths.
“Pan-“ Y/N started to say but he cut her off. “Please, call me Peter.” Peter told her and reconnected his lips with hers.

needy - felix x fem!reader
Tumblr media
“such a good girl, hm? are you my good girl?” felix’s husky voice sent shivers down your spine as your walls fluttered around him. god he’s so big. his long length combined with his large mushroomy tip had you seeing stars and he hasn’t even moved.
too dazed to answer, felix bucked his hips up causing you to whine out loudly. your eyes scrunched up as you braced yourself with your hands on felix’s toned chest.
your mouth felt dry, and it took all your control to not break out of his tight hold on your hips to seek out your own pleasure instead.
he chuckled softly at your vulnerable state and stuck a finger under your chin to force you to look him in the eyes.
“c’mon angel answer me. you’ve been so well behaved, don’t stop now.” felix smirked. with lustful eyes and a fucked out expression, you swallowed thickly as you answered him.
“yes please, i’m your good girl. please just- ah-” your sentence was cut short as felix bucked up into you again.
“yes who?” felix’s tone was stern, but you could see the mischievous glint in his eyes from a mile away. you whined loudly, wishing he would just take pity on you and fuck you into the bed so hard you saw stars.
your nails scratched down his chest to then rest your hands on his biceps. felix groaned at the balance of pain and pleasure he was receiving. his hands gripped onto your ass, roughly kneading the flesh. he landed a soft spank on your ass, reminding you to answer him.
soft pants spilled out of your mouth as you tried to pull yourself out of the hazy state you were in. you were so desperate for even just the tiniest amount of friction, you would follow felix’s orders blindly to get what you wanted.
“yes sir.” you moaned, throwing your head back as you felt him roll his hips into you. felix grabbed the back of your neck to pull you down for a fiery kiss you eagerly reciprocated.
his teeth bit down harshly onto your bottom lip, shoving his tongue in as you moaned. with a hand still on the back of your neck, he used the other one to toy with your nipple, twisting and pinching until he pulled back to admire his work.
to him you looked utterly beautiful. hickies littering your delicate skin, all across your neck and collarbones. your lips were red and swollen from your passionate makeout session, and you housed a cockdrunk expression across your face.
he smirked as you whispered a soft ‘please’.
“please what angel?” felix’s hands moved to rest on your hips, softly squeezing the area.
“please.. please fuck me.” you whined, tears forming in your eyes from being denied your pleasure. a single tear fell down your face and felix tutted as he used his thumb to wipe it away.
his hand grabbed onto the lower part of your face, squeezing your cheeks so your lips were puckered. felix pretended to be thinking hard as if it were a life or death decision.
finally he said, “hm.. i suppose you have been good, and very patient. you want me to fuck you into the mattress, huh? fuck you so hard you can’t walk straight the next day?”
you let out a breathy ‘yes’ and that was all he needed. suddenly you were flipped over onto your back with felix hovering above you. he gave you one final deep kiss, before whispering in your ear.
“don’t worry needy baby.. i’ll help you out.”

Hi!! So I've seen you account recently and I really would like you to write Felix x reader when the Reader is always so guffy and childish. So they are sick like they have very bad fever, almost faint and they are weary weak and Felix take care of them and sing them lullaby them by singing and rocking them please.
Hello! I hope you will like what I wrote! 🤗
Lullaby
Summary: A lost girl gets sick and goes into Felix's care
There was a problem with her, he was certain of it.
Girls who came to the island were not that joyous and happy to be there, unlike some of the lost boys. But there was one girl, Felix noticed, that seemed to be always in a cheerful and lunatic mood. If anything, the girl spoke in riddles sometimes which annoyed him a lot. He wished that Pan would kick her out but the leader of the lost boys found her amusing and often participated in her riddles and jokes. And don’t let him start on her puns. They were bad. But, in a way, she grew to like him. He had been forced to spend time with her and when he looked things her way… well, life was not that bad and horrendous.
The problem he thought about was just after they went back from fishing: she accidentally had fallen into the lagoon and was shivering cold as she walked back to camp. He had grown worried when she didn’t come out of her tent the next day, and asked one of the girls, Sadie, to go check on her. He was even more concerned when Sadie came back and told him she looked very faint and not very well. No one had been sick on Neverland for a very long time and it didn’t help Pan left to attend some business elsewhere. The responsibility fell into his hands to take care of her. He acted like he would have liked someone else to do it, but deep down, he was quite scared that she got ill. How could this have happened? Was she going to be okay?
Since none of them had been sick in a very long time, Felix had appointed himself as the guardian of the sick girl. For once, he will be able to slow down a bit, she wasn’t needy and the others were so afraid of catching a cold from him, so they avoided him, which was the greatest thing that ever happened to the second in command. It was just easy, he could get away without doing much of his own chores.
But as the days went by, she showed no sign of gaining her strength back. The lack of sleep she experienced was also very strange and concerning. Felix couldn’t help but worry if her state was going to get better. It was not in his nature to get so anxious about that someone, but… she was a different case. He found himself missing her strange humor. He went as far as asking Tinkerbell, the fairy without wings, a remedy for her and got quite irked by her teasing.
“You wouldn’t go that far for someone, not even Pan. What’s so special about that one?” She had mocked as she handed him some kind of tea. “It should make her better in some days, make sure she drinks it twice a day.”
He kept thinking about what she said though. It was true he never considered the others lost ones because he simply didn’t care. She was different for a reason, he was getting soft on her because she was very sick. Yeah, that was the reason. He followed the instructions to make her the tea and brought it to her after everyone had gone to sleep. Even if he cared, he didn’t want the others to know it. They would immediately turn that affection of his against him, going as far as informing Pan as soon as their leader will come back.
Penetrating into the tent, he tried to stay strong and not to share some words with the sick girl. It was very difficult: (Y/N) really didn’t look well. She laid on her cot, snuggling some fur blankets and clearly looked in pain. She perked up when she heard him approaching with the steamy cup. He handed it quickly to her.
“Drink.”
Her shaking hands took the cup from him and he was surprised when she drank all of it fastly: it didn’t smell the greatest but perhaps she trusted him and his remedy? That was all so strange. He couldn’t help but put his hand on her forehead, she was still going through a fever. Felix hoped Pan would be back any day now: he couldn’t stand taking care of her… Or rather, he couldn’t stand her being in constant pain and not being able to help.
Pulling a stool that was in the corner of her tent, he sat down and just waited for any improvement from her health. She was trying to sleep but wasn’t: she moved like a little worm in her bed. Felix released a sigh, indicating his light frustration from not being able to help.
“You can leave if you want.” Her soft voice reached his ears and he hummed at that, his eyes focusing on her tired face. “I wouldn’t want you to be sick because of me.”
“I would have been ill for a long time by now. And you don’t get to order me around.” It was easy to hide everything behind his cold face. But it was hard to pretend he didn’t care and never felt emotions. He liked his hard shell. “You are cute but not that cute.” He muttered under his breath without thinking.
“So you think I am cute?” She spoke with a smile and he blushed. She had heard him. He needed to get the upper hand again.
“Shut up and sleep.” He hissed and attempted to not be bothered by what she told him.
“I can’t. Sing me something.” She mumbled as she snuggled her covers once again.
He snorted at her comment. What did she think he was? A troubadour? A opera singer? He was none of those. This was such a ridiculous idea, so why was Felix even trying to find something to sing to her?! This was madness. He closed his eyes and sighed once again, wondering if he should leave or not. But he wanted to stay with her. He didn’t think she would be that annoying though.
“I don’t know songs.”
“A lullaby then? Anything to soothe me to sleep?”
He knew one, in his own native language. He felt shy suddenly and wondered if she was going to judge him for what he was about to do. The second in command felt also some kind of shame: what if the lost ones hear him? He knew the girls wouldn’t make a fuss about it but the boys? He would be dead, laughed and mocked at. But (Y/N) was sick and in pain, and he wanted to do something good and kind once in his life.
“I may… know one. But you wouldn’t understand it.” He confessed, fiddling with his fingers to soothe his own anxiety.
“I don’t care. I just want something else to listen to other than the snorting and nature.” She complained, her back facing him. At least she was not looking at him.
“Erm okay.”
It was embarrassing, very embarrassing. He wanted to dig a hole and lay there. Felix gathered his thoughts, trying to find how the lullaby sounded. It felt like someone was singing it to him, a woman’s voice. His mother perhaps? It was not the time to think about the past, but luckily the lyrics went back to him.
“À la claire fontaine
M'en allant promener
J'ai trouvé l'eau si belle
Que je m'y suis baignée
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai
Sous les feuilles d'un chêne
Je me suis fait sécher
Sur la plus haute branche
Un rossignol chantait
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai
Chante, rossignol, chante
Toi qui as le cœur gai
Tu as le cœur à rire
Moi, je l'ai à pleurer
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai”
His voice was gruff and wobbly as he sang the lullaby. It was hard to speak his native language with someone who couldn’t understand him and it had been a while since he had spoken it. His accent was non-existent, so that was good, he thought. He hoped she was fast asleep, he couldn’t see it. (Y/N) had made no comments so he stopped mid-song, his voice hoarse and dry. Felix was at least relieved she was asleep, singing had been a nightmare, he even wondered why it was not raining yet.
Standing close to her form, he smiled when he realized she was indeed asleep. Now, he was free to go and guard the camp. As he left the tent, he considered singing to her a little more. Maybe even make a place for her in his cold and steel heart.

Very well made
Different Pulses
Pairing: Felix x Reader
Warnings: Swearing
Summary: After Pan gets defeated, Y/N and Felix live together in Storybrooke with the "heroes". They both don't get along and seem to avoid each other, until the "heroes" need to leave them alone to save Henry from another threat. Will Y/N get along with the cold, distant boy?
Part: (1/?)
@madd-devil
This story is heavily inspired by "When it's cold" by:
@the-original-weirdo-83
@peter-pan-on-neverland
Tumblr media
Y/N's eyes wandered through the small room, from the small bed to the huge window, stopping at the small drawer underneath it, before finally stepping further in. The walls were dyed light blue and besides a big clock and a flat screen they were empty. There was nothing unusual with this room, nothing really striking and yet it still felt a little strange. She walked forwards and ripped the dark curtains away, opening the window to welcome the golden sunlight into the room, warming her skin. The air smelled different and even the birds chirped in another tune. It seemed as if this world was quieter than the other, less dangerous and more welcoming. For a moment Y/N was soaked into the moment and drifted off into her thoughts, as suddenly some cursing in the next room ripped the girl out of her thoughts. With an annoyed snarl, she rolled her eyes and let herself drop onto the small bed, trying to ignore the sounds that probably came from the grumpy former second in command. After all, he still did not like being taken from Neverland, as he found himself with Y/N in a new home in Storybrooke. He still did not fit in and fought with everything he had to integrate. The second in command was stubborn and feisty, hot-tempered and constantly in a bad mood. Felix had barely granted Y/N a smile since they came off the Island and after he was brought into Mary Margaret's and David Charmings flat, everything went worse. The lost boy usually locked himself up inside his room, stayed there until after dinner to grab himself the leftovers, before vanishing back behind the wooden door. He never seemed to understand the technology around him, not even trying to understand it, but getting angry instead if it did not work out like he had imagined it to.  Y/N on the other hand, found herself in a healthy relationship with her hosts real quick. They took it as their own responsibility to take both of them in, after Pan was defeated. Felix, because he was the most stubborn boy that would never find his peace in an orphanage and Y/N, because she was the only girl next to Wendy that lived with the lost boys. After all this time on the island, she found herself being close to Henry as well. The small, young boy was like a little brother to her, making the girl laugh and joining her whenever Mary Margaret would allow them to go out. She was a careful woman and even though she trusted Y/N, there was no reason for her not to be cautious. Also Y/N suspected Mary  not to act like granting the girl a privilege while Felix was still being guarded.
Another loud yell from behind those walls disturbed the girls' peaceful daydreams once more, so she grabbed the pillow and pressed it over her head to muffle all the sound, trying her best to ignore everything around. It was a day too pretty for this and Y/N only wanted to relax, but not a few minutes of delightful silence later, she heard a knock on the wooden door. Moving her body properly under the sheets, she faced the door and mumbled just loud enough,"Come in."
The door swung open and revealed the former second in command's worried face, his sweaty hair hung down his face and he breathed so loud that the girl could literally feel anger flooding in the room. The atmosphere turned immediately tense and the room seemed to shrink around her with each second passing. Y/N held her breath and raised one eyebrow in confusion, trying her best to hide her insecurities behind a questioning look, as the lanky, blonde boy's eyes pierced her urgently.
"Where is the little rat?" Felix spoke in a hoarse tone.
"The ra-" She started confused. "Oh."
Henry.
"He took my cloak." Felix raged. "Where is the bastard, so I can smite him!"
"It's in the laundry." Y/N interrupted him before Felix would even try to hurt Henry and give him the fault for her doings. She found it in the bathroom and washed it along with the other laundry. The girl's voice was almost inaudible, well knowing the boy's temper from all the countless encounters with the other lost boys. Felix's eyes twitched and he gritted his teeth as he slowly came closer, one step after another, to close the distance that kept her away from him, the only distance that gave the girl at least a little bit of comfort. Henry could be glad to have to spend the time with the grumpy lost boy on weekends only. How much she envied him.
"What?" He snarled with his face just a few centimeters away from hers and for a moment her mind went blank, the only impulse she felt was to storm out of the room. As she crashed to the door, Y/N did not even bother to look back and swiftly grabbed her shoes and keys before leaving the apartment.  The door swung shut with a loud crash that echoed through every room as Felix swayed back in his own room, every cell inside him questioning why his heart felt so heavy. Y/N was not even sure if the lanky boy bothered to chase after her and if her actions seemed a little exaggerated, but when Felix built himself up in front of her, the girl's heart sank into the bottom of her body and fear overtook her mind. The former lost boy had been cruel to other boys for less than that.
She did not stay out for long, simply walked around the block to get some fresh air and to get some space from the tall boy. Also, because she knew that Mary would be mad if she was not home when the woman returned. The first week did not start well and Y/N let out a frustrated sight as she thought of the future. Mary and David left her alone with him half of the day, having the boy locked up in his room was not consoling though, the fact alone that he was present was enough to make her feel nervous. When she returned to the apartment, Felix was nowhere in sight, so she quickly snuck back into her room, hoping that he would leave her alone for the rest of the day. On the other hand, she had to make sure that he would not hurt Henry, the poor boy did nothing wrong. For a moment Y/N hesitated until she decided to get Felix's cloak from the washing line on the balcony. Not a surprise that the asshole did not know it was there, when he never left his room. Still, the girl felt a little curious when she thought of what he might do all day by himself- especially with no understanding of technology. Was he not bored? There was no convincing answer that she could think of and Y/N wondered if she would find out as she strutted with the big cloak in her hands towards Felix's room. She  knocked at the door and immediately regretted it after the previous events. Nevertheless she tried to be brave and push her fear aside, telling herself that the former second in command was not threatening at all.
She knocked again when nothing happened and suddenly some angry footsteps stomped into her direction-, firm and loud, before the tall boy ripped the door wide open, revealing his furious face.
"What the fuck do you want?" Felix growled, the veins of his neck throbbing and his hands pressed so tightly into fists that his knuckles turned white.
"I-...eh." Y/N stammered nervously and tightened her grip onto the cloak. Her eyes widened as she thought, He would not hurt me, would he? "I have your-"
"Keep that!" Felix interrupted her, his words were like poison.
Felix slammed the door shut before  the girl could say another  word, leaving her in the dark hallway with an unsettling feeling inside her guts that something was wrong. But how could she even tell what? Felix never spoke to her that much and it was pretty obvious that he would not do more in the future. All Y/N knew was that the grumpy boy missed the island and that he missed Pan, even though the girl never understood his obedience to the green devil. Peter Pan was manipulative and evil and she was glad he never left Neverland alive. Felix couldn't give her the fault for his loss, she had never helped the heroes and even refused as the only one next to him to say a word. Well, Y/N opened up quicker and befriended the "heroes" after everything they did. It was a saint if she could speak freely about it. The cloak must mean a lot to Felix, or else he would never be this angry, even for a boy who had a tendency to violence-, he never hurt Y/N before. She really hoped he would take it back and overcome his rage. The idea that Felix might only looked for a reason to hate Henry more occured her a few minutes later, but it was an unspoken thought that seemed to be way too assumptious.
"I am sorry about Peter." She moved her forehead onto the wooden door, resting it there for a bit and after a while she watched a single tear drop down onto the ground. Peter was not completely evil, not to Y/N at least and deep inside he was a loss to her as well. There was a short time where Felix seemed to be nice too, back on Neverland just weeks before Peter got defeated. He had shown the girl a flower field and tickled her until some boy's would crossy their way and disturb that lovely moment. It was the first and only time he had ever been close in a comforting way. Since then, Y/N had always hoped to see the boy underneath this rusty shell, but it was all gone since the second he stepped off the boat.
The door stayed closed and she stared at Felix's cloak, wondering what to do with it. When Y/N returned to her own room and snuck underneath the covers, the cloak was still under her arm. It did not smell like Felix anymore. The ticking of the clock was the only sound filling the room, capturing the girl's eyes to check the time- six pm. It was late, almost time for Mary Margaret to come back from work and cook some dinner, and when it was time for Y/N to sleep, David would come home too and Emma would come tomorrow, to bring Henry over for the weekend. Y/N barely saw David. He was always busy with his work in the police station and would get home late in the night. He left Felix and her up to Mary and Emma, which was definitely a hard task thinking of the rebellious boy next to Y/N's room. The man could not stand the former lost boy, the girl had seen it in his eyes when Emma brought her onto the ship, back then,  from escaping Neverland. Felix's emotions seemed mutual and everyone around could sense it. That both of them were separated most of the time, was not so bad after all. Mary Margarett even tried to take it as an opportunity to get to know more about the former lost boy, but all her attempts failed. The boy kept shut, would not reveal his past and barely replied to any of the woman’s actions. It was tiring to watch, quite a show though. It seemed like a boring game of charade, in which Mary kept asking him countless questions and then tried to interpret his annoyed growls as he ate some cereal. Breakfast was a strict rule for him to join and dinner to avoid.
Y/N rolled over and grabbed her phone, turning some music on to change her thoughts and kill the silence. Even though it was so early, she felt how her eyelids were getting heavy, how she slowly drifted off into sleep, using the cloak as a pillow. Throwing it away was not an option for her, there could always come a time where the former lost boy would demand it back.
It felt like a whole night when the girl woke up from a strange feeling of someone pulling on something underneath her. Out of reflex, she tightened the grip on the cloak in her arms. The pulling got stronger and when she realised that this was not a dream, she slowly opened her tired eyes.
"I changed my mind." Felix scoffed. "I want it back."
With a mind still dizzy and drunk from sleep, Y/N's sight was still so blurry, that it was hard to catch up and she needed a moment to follow the lost boy's words. He obviously meant the cloak, but why did he make such a fuss about it when he did not want it in the first place?
"Y/N?" He pronounced her name so carefully when he realised her eyes were closing again. She did not respond.
The sound of Felix's knees hitting the floor startled the girl out of sleep, finding herself sitting bolt upright in bed, pressing the cloak with widened eyes tightly against her chest. He let out an amused chuckle, grinning from ear to ear. Being fully awake now, Y/N realised why the tall boy was here and she slowly reached her hand forward, handing the boy his cloak over. What the hell did he do in the middle of the night inside her room? Why could this not wait? Her eyes wandered to her phone on the small nightstand-, it was eight pm and winter. It caused the girl to genuinely laugh to herself.
"Sorry for washing it." She whispered meek, avoiding Felix's gaze and dropped her head back onto the pillow before turning  away from him to close her eyes.
"It's all right." With that Felix quickly made his way back to his own room, the door closing so quick as if he had run.
The next day he kept quiet, did not say a word at breakfast, not even a snarky comment towards Henry who was constantly talking about one of his favourite movies and its heroes. The word 'hero' usually was enough to make the former lost boy explode. Not this time. His steel like eyes were glued onto his bowl as he ate in silence. Later he would sit in the living room, watching some TV that Henry forgot to turn off and would not even complain when Y/N joined and switched the channel. For a moment she felt his eyes burning on her skin. When she met his gaze, the former lost boy rose to his feet and walked away, slamming his door to confirm he was in his room now. Felix was strange and not the friendliest boy for sure. Still, Y/N had the feeling that there was more behind his behaviour that he would let her on and that he exaggerated an act. Mary would give her some tasks over the time like getting the groceries, which she would really appreciate doing, since it was a great way to get out. Y/N and Felix were no prisoners of course and the cold of the thick snow creeping in from the outside would keep her under her covers anyway. There never has been snow on Neverland. It was entirely strange and yet so familiar, waking a nostalgic feeling inside the girl. When Y/N found her way to the grocery store, there was no one to harm her and she had all the time she needed to wander through the different Isles and shove anything she liked into the shopping cart. There were no lost boys with spears and torches, that would hunt the girl down until her feet would bleed. No Pan that played his dangerous, manipulative games, that only entertained him in a twisted, sadistic way,  satisfying him, that it could already be a kink.
It was freedom.
The good snacks from the store disappeared immediately inside the drawer, keeping it safe from Henry or Felix. Both had the tendency to steal Y/N's food. She would often cook for herself, learning new skills since there was nothing else to do anyways. As soon as Mary returned, the girl hoped she would bring some more groceries, but she got disappointed. The snow held her off too long, the mood to go into the supermarket was simply gone and Y/N could understand that.
"You can go with Henry." She smiled and grabbed herself something to drink from the fridge.
"When will he be here?" Y/N asked, raising an eyebrow as she waited for an answer. The short haired woman slowly turned around, her face seemed to be frozen in an unbelieving, perplexed and slightly fearing frown.
"Isn't he here alr-" She stopped and both of their heads shot into the same direction when a key was put inside the front lock, turning and unlocking the door. The girl expected the young boy to get home, instead, Emma stormed into the apartment, shortly followed by David and the girl already saw on their faces that something was wrong. Mary let go of what she was doing and closed the distance between them with quite some concern on her face.
"They took Henry!" Emma bursted out, her eyes searching the room as if her son could just hide somewhere and would just magically appear any moment. She looked full of hope. David gently rubbed her back and told Mary to get her things. They always seemed to find trouble and now Y/N finally understood what Felix meant, when he once claimed that their hero being was only a facade and they were the true danger. Were they? Henry was gone and that was because he was so important to these women.
"Who took him?" Y/N asked worriedly.
"Stay out of this, you are not a part of this." Emma ignored the question and  gently shoved the former lost girl out of her way to get her keys. She ripped the door wide open and jumped down the hallway without bothering to close it, expecting the others to follow quickly.
"We will get Henry back." Mary turned to Y/N, trying to comfort her by holding her hands. "You don't have to worry."
It was not the young boy she worried about and the short haired woman knew that. With a quick glance back to Felix's closed door, Y/N gulped and immediately shook her head.
"I can come with you!" She protested at the thought of being all alone with the former second in command.
"No," Mary said and sighted. "I need you here."
Her gaze wandered off to Felix's door again and her look grew frustrated. Y/N followed with her eyes and nodded before facing the short haired woman again. She turned to the counter and grabbed her purse to pull out her wallet.  Then she collected all the money she had and put it in a sugar box inside the shelf.
"I trust you enough." Her words meant a lot. "Besides, once in a while Regina will check up on you two."
With that, Mary Margaret turned around and gave David a final nod, before both of them left the apartment to join their daughter in the car. As soon as Y/N closed the door behind them, everything went into an uncomfortable silence. There was no single sound instead of the unbearable striking of the clock hanging on the kitchen wall.
"Great." Y/N moaned quietly. At least they could have told her who took Henry and for what possible reason. The adults would always seem to know better and in this case they decided it would be better to keep Felix and her out of this. Did they really want to leave her out of it, or was Y/N just not to be trusted? Felix would easily try to convince her about that. The former lost boy probably would not  care  at all. It was smart of Mary Margaret to hide some money for Y/N. The fridge was almost empty and she wondered how long they would be away and when she would need food. There was nothing good inside it, nothing appealing, so  Y/N closed the door and strutted back to her room. Dropping into the sheets, she grabbed the remote next to her pillow and turned on the TV. Henry had shown her how to use it real quick as he often joined the girl to play video games. All those years living here and using all these things caused him to always be smarter and it was the first thing Y/N noticed that Felix disliked about him. At the end, there were countless things the scarred up boy hated, but Henry was always the center of his anger.
With the time passing by, the rumbling in the girl's stomach got louder until her tummy literally screamed for something to eat. Back in the kitchen, there was still nothing  appealing and with a quick glance to Felix's wooden door, she wondered if the former lost boy would like to eat something too. Each step further towards his room felt more heavy and Y/N's stomach turned inside out. The moment her knuckles knocked against the cool wood, she questioned why she even tried to be nice and get along with him. The floor was cold, maybe she should have put on some socks or turned on the heater. There was no sound on the other side of the wood and Y/N started to wonder if Felix was even home, when suddenly some heavy footsteps slowly strutted closer. Felix swayed the door wide open and rubbed his tired eyes, then rested his heavy head on the doorframe. He only wore some grey sweatpants, revealing his scars on his pale chest. The air around the girl thickened and her body heated up at the sight of his messy, sweaty morning hair.
"Sorry." She mumbled and avoided looking at him. His presence alone caused shivers to run down her spine. "Did I wake you?"
"M-hm." Felix grumbled tiredly, fighting to keep his eyes open. Y/N's eyes wandered back to the open kitchen and its clock. It was four o'clock.
"Are you hungry?"
The tall boy remained silent for a moment, his dull eyes staring at the girl as if he did not understand the question, turned to look at his bed, then slightly nodded with his head as if it was the hardest thing to do.
"I could eat." He spoke with a deep, raspy voice, laying his focus back onto Y/N. Fuck, he sounded so hot, it caught her off guard and left her unable to speak for a glimpse moment.
"I am ordering food." She said after a small moment. "What would you like?"
Felix pressed his brows together, then lifted one in confusion. "How does that work?" He asked and Y/N chuckled in amusement, feeling how her stiffened limbs relaxed.
"You choose a restaurant and then decide what you want to eat." She explained and showed the blonde boy her phone. "They deliver it and you pay."'
"Ah."
Y/N were not sure if Felix was not understanding it, or simply did not like it. He brought his hands up to his arms and rubbed the scarred skin, feeling how cold it was and finally bothered to put on a T-shirt. If Y/N were honest with herself, she liked Felix's exposed back. Muscles danced under tender flesh, as arms stretched upon the ceiling, forward and crooked together, pulling the cotton over his chest. Back on Neverland, Felix always seemed to be violent and rough, harsh to others and never in a good mood. There has not changed much, yet the dangerous, threatening touch was missing since he came to Storybrooke with Y/N. He was bent to new rules now.
"Pizza." Felix said and stepped closer, closing the distance and bent down to take a glimpse of the menu. "Do they have some?"
Y/N's skin started to prickle when she felt his breath against her cheek and immediately froze in place. Why was he so close?
"You know Pizza?" She asked unsure, still a little curious. Felix smirked and let out a husky chuckle. "Sure I do."
He walked past her into the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water, gulped it down, filled another one, gulped it down, but when he repeated that for a third time, the second in command could not finish it and disposed of the remains in the sink.  He turned around to check the time and widened his eyes as he realised how late it already was.
"The days are dark during winter." The boy mentioned with a side-along gaze, as if he knew that she might have criticised him for sleeping that long. Y/N did not know how to respond, but was confident enough to join the tall boy in the kitchen, pulling the chair back and taking a seat at the table. Both of them did not say a word and with each second passing in silence, she regretted sitting there with him even more.
"Why did you run from me earlier?" The question caught her off guard, she needed a moment to think for the right answer. The girl tilted her head in Felix's direction, his eyebrows were lifted up in a questioning look and he leaned at the counter, waiting for the girl to open her mouth and speak.  He was just curious, not too gruff nor angry.
"You scare me sometimes." Y/N admitted. "It's like being back in Neverland."
The former lost boy nodded disappointed and shifted his gaze out of the window to hide half of his features as if she would ever be able to read them.
"You really did not like the Island." The boy stated, receiving a light nod as an answer. "Was it so bad?"
"There were no toilets."
Felix could not help but chuckle, a warm genuine smile spread over his face and he nodded his head in agreement when he faced her again.
"Toilets sure are great." He laughed. "Or warm running water."
Felix pushed himself away from the counter and slendered over to the girl, taking a seat on the chair in front of her. "It took me three days to find out how that works, by the way." He added after a small pause. Y/N could only shake her head in response and give him a brief smile. "Must have been cold."
The tall boy agreed in silence and crossed his arms in front of his chest, waiting for the food to arrive. He would disappear for a while to go to the bathroom, giving her some space to clear her mind. All she could think about was how beautiful the former second in command looked when he smiled, making her nervous the longer he stayed with her. For a moment, it seemed like he was another person when she was all alone with him.
"Where are the others?" Felix asked when he returned from the bathroom, pulling the chair around to straddle it.
"Someone took Henry." Y/N admitted low, not even wanting him to know that, well aware that he would only mock this situation, probably having expected such a thing sooner or later.
"Hm.’' Felix let out an amused chuckle and gave her a winning smirk, one that said,"Told you so!"
"We're on our own for a while." The girl said, checking her phone for a message from the delivery guy. Not long. Almost here. How the time had passed by.
"I am  fucking happy they are gone." Felix snorted and rolled his eyes."They were such a pain in the ass."
At least they gave him a home and clothes, food and no worries about his current life. That was something and even though Y/N knew how beautiful the Island could be, the former lost boy had not been safe there. None of them were. How could he still be so blinded after all? Y/N wanted to respond but decided to keep her mouth shut. Right at that moment the doorbell rang. Shifting from her seat, Y/N strutted over to the door and opened it, waiting a few moments for the delivery guy to get up the stairs and hand her the Pizza. She pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket and handed it over to the man before closing the door. The boxes felt hot on her cool hands and the smell of fat, cheese and pepperoni filled the room, making the girl realise how hungry she actually was. Felix's stomach started to rumble when she started to cut her Pizza, so she assumed he did not have any breakfast either. For a moment the girl really enjoyed the boy's company and hoped he would stay longer, but she was also sure that he would take his food and vanish as quickly as he used to do. Yet, Felix never ceased to amaze her. He waited in silence until she was done cutting, then he took the knife and in that moment her fingers touched his, she felt  a quick, electric sensation followed by butterflies rumbling in her stomach. Taking the Pizza, she quickly strutted into the direction of your room to hide her sudden joy, just to be stopped by Felix calling her name.
"Where are you going?"
"Into my room?" Y/N gave confused back ,wondering why he would want her to accompany him all of the sudden.
"Oh- I thought…" Felix sounded disappointed.
"Oh…" Her eyes widened and maybe she sounded a bit too harsh. "I thought you wouldn't want-"
"Nevermind." Felix barked harshly and swiftly vanished behind his own door, not even giving the girl a chance to say another word. Damn, this boy was so sensitive, his mood was constantly switching and Y/N wished to find out why he was always  so pessimistic about everything. Not now, she thought, not now. First she would eat, then she would take care of that matter.
The boy let out an annoyed sight when he opened his door after Y/N knocked not long after she finished eating. Felix was eating the last slice of his pizza and held the empty box in his other hand.
"Why are you always coming to me?" He snarled.
"I just care about you! For god’s sake! You act so fucking mean since we came here and I wonder why." She raised her voice and knitted her eyebrows together in a serious manner
"Please don't do this." Felix moaned theoretically. "Please don't act as if you cared!"
Felix swiftly turned around and threw the empty box of Pizza aside. His fast movements caused her to flinch a little, but still she managed to remain calm.
"You don't care!" He snarled. "Nobody cares. Just leave me alone."
The tall boy did not need to turn around and give her a final glare, he made it clear that she was not wanted and no matter how much he needed her help, she respected his wishes. Y/N had really no thought to waste about him when she went straight into the bathroom to take a bath that might cool her nerves. That fucking audacity and this childish behaviour, as if Felix really meant what he was saying. They both knew he was not serious and that he was simply lying to himself about his emotions. There was no place for love in his heart after being manipulated by Pan for so long, nor  for friendship. Y/N did not care what the former second in command told himself about their friendship, it all has been a lie and a game for Pan, something to entertain him. It was worthless. His loss meant nothing, still Y/N cared how Felix felt about the betrayal of every former boy.
While she stripped off her clothes, the girl waited for the bathtub to be filled with hot water and bubbles, a metaphorical way to clean her thoughts when diving in. She should rather think about helping someone out and earn some money, so she could afford buying her own things. She splashed the water with her fingers and slowly sank deeper into the bathtub to enjoy the silence. The hot steam filled the room and when her thoughts drove off to something pleasantly, she almost forgot the time. Back in Neverland there was nothing to worry about time, the days were almost all the same and no one was there to rush someone. Things have barely changed in Storybrooke, since there was nothing to do for Y/N and the lanky lost boy, so they needed to find something to kill the time.
It had been an eternity since the girl had taken a proper bath and maybe it was time to get out, but the hot water remained too tempting for her to step out. With a deep breath she closed her eyes and leaned back, as suddenly a door slammed shut, immediately telling her that Felix was leaving his room again. His slow footsteps definitely made their way towards the bathroom and Y/N realised that she did not lock the door. She did not really forget to lock the door, right? The girl could not recall it and to get out of the water, to check was too late, as she watched agonised how the door handle went down and the door swung wide open, causing her heart to skip a beat. The tall lost boy did not seem to notice her at first, but as soon as he entered the steamy room, Felix froze in place. His eyes widened and his face turned blank. For a long moment, they both stared at each other and Y/N felt relieved that she was at least covered by a thick foam of bubbles.
"Fuck, sorry...I-" Felix stuttered through half open lips, as if the little sight of a girl's skin was enough to steal his voice. It gave Y/N her confidence back.
"I didn't mean to-" the boy still couldn't open his mouth while his gaze burned holes through her. It took him a moment, but suddenly Felix shook his head to ban whatever he was thinking about and shifted his eyes away, then turned on his heels to swiftly leave the bathroom.
At least he could have closed the door, Y/N thought as she sunk deeper into the water in embarrassment. Fuck, how in the hell could she forget to close the door? At least he did not see anything, or did he? The whole situation left her frozen in place, unable to think clearly. Y/N did not even dare to step out of the water to close the door, so she just sat there, trying her best to calm down. After a while, the skin of her fingertips were already wrinkled up, leaving a rough touch on her softened skin and she finally thought about getting out of the bathtub. A long time  had passed, since Felix stepped into the bath and now the water was starting to get cold. The girl's eyes searched the room for a towel until she realised that she had washed them and now they hung in the living room. Fuck this shit.
"Felix!" She called him as loud as she could, but there was no answer. The boy did not respond until she called him again.
"What do you want?" His voice echoed through the hallway. She sounded unsure and intrigued.
"I have a problem."
"Well now you have two." Felix yelled back.
Y/N frowned in confusion and lifted her head.
"How's that?"
"I ain't interested in your first problem."
She let out an annoyed sight and rolled with her eyes and brought her fingers to her forehead, running over her skin in a steady, relaxing movement. Why was he like that? Was it really necessary to always find a way for drama?
"I don’t have a towel." She whined, hoping for him to bring her one. The grumpy boy did not respond again, an unbearable silence filling the apartment. Felix was there, the girl knew that he was. He had not shut his door yet, so he must be in the living room or kitchen where he would perfectly understand you.
"Felix…" She called him, already giving up that he would come and breaking her mind by finding a way to get past him. "Please."
A few seconds later she heard his footsteps come back again, the wood creaking under his weight and announcing the boy’s arrival. He did not even enter the room, instead Felix threw the towel through the open crack.
"I need to take a piss, so please hurry up!" He said rather cowardly before the footsteps led him away, then shutting the door shut. Y/N did not hesitate and got out of the water as quickly as she could, barely drying her skin before she sprinted into her own room before the former lost boy would cross her way again.
Why did such things always happen to her? Could it not have been someone else to walk in like Emma or Mary? Of course not, destiny always found a way to punish the girl,- first Pan, now Felix. Nevertheless, the cold boy stayed inside her mind all the time. She dressed herself and got ready to snuck under the blankets. For a while she allowed herself to dream of him cuddling against her back, how his big body would feel like pressed against hers, or maybe even… on top  of her?
NO.
Fuck no, she was not having dirty daydreams of mister cold facade. There was nothing special about Felix, right? Eventually that long scar that ran over his jagged jawline and those blue, stabbing eyes fascinated her. Those  piercing eyes, that were sharp as daggers and intimidating as the gaze of a shark. There was definitely something mysterious about the former second in command, still, Y/N had told herself that she was done with adventures and risky decisions- Felix was definitely one of those,- that she could tell. He was hot, but also the biggest asshole she ever met. The former lost boy kept wandering through the apartment and distracting the girl's dreaming thoughts with each passing second. He would not leave her mind until she fell asleep.

Mine Alone
*Surprise bitch! I live!
Yes, after an extended hiatus I return! And I bring requests that have been haunting my inbox for months? A year? Sheesh. I will be getting the others out soon but gotta start with the one that was waiting the longest.*
Pairing: Felix x fem!Reader
Prompt: Felix smut. (That's all it said.) So enjoy you dirty little freaks!
---
You hadn’t really understood what was happening until it was too late. If that wasn’t the story of your life.
It had been a good couple of years since you came to Neverland. Even way back then you had been a little slow on the uptake. Nothing you did ever seemed that significant so you weren’t too worried about anything you did being noticed by anyone. No one ever gave you big jobs to do or positions of power you had to maintain. You just ambled along. It wasn’t that you were stupid, just a bit spacey. As a result you didn’t realize when something was wrong until it was well past the point of correction.
That was part of the reason you ended up on Neverland. Unloved kids came to dance around a bonfire late at night. You did too. You didn’t think anything strange of it, especially considering how many other people were there. So when the leader, Pan, offered to take you away from your boring life in your little town you agreed without much thought. Who would notice if you disappeared? There would be no great hunt for you. No people mourning you. No jobs that needed doing that only you could do. It was an easy decision on your part.
Despite it being years ago you still held some of that feeling of insignificance inside. There were so many other Lost Boys and Lost Girls on the island. Would your presence really be missed?
Then, along came Felix. Felix was one of the most prominent of the Lost Boys and Girls. He was Pan’s best friend and second in command of the island. He did something that only Pan had done once and hadn’t really again. He noticed you. Even more than that, he liked you.
What had started as an acquaintanceship turned into friendship and that friendship eventually became love. Your days were spent mainly with each other. You even shared a tent so you each could be the first thing you saw in the morning and the last thing you saw at night.
You once asked Felix why he had approached you all those years ago. What was it about you that made him want to be your friend? He never really answered it. He just said there was some pull he felt towards you. Like he was a ship on a still ocean and after years of being marooned, a breeze had finally come to push him to land.
“You had such a bright and open smile that you shared with everyone.” he had said, holding you close as you watched the waves crash on the sand. “I didn’t realize how strong it was until you turned it on me. I couldn’t stay away from you if I tried after that. Everything else came later.”
“Everything else?”
“Everything.” he said, “Your laugh. Your sense of humor. Your kindness. Your selflessness. I loved how passionate you got about little things. I love the little humming noises you make when you work. I love how tightly you hug. I love how fierce you can be when you need to be.”
“Wow. That’s a lot.”
“There’s a lot to love about you, dove.” he pulled you closer to his chest. “That was only the beginning.”
“You can be real romantic when you wanna be.”
“Yeah yeah, don’t go harping about it to the others though. For your ears only.”
“Yes, sir.” you gave a little salute. He scoffed but didn’t say anything else.
Since meeting Felix and starting your relationship you had come more out of your shell as well. You had become a lot more sociable with everyone else on the island and had made some good friends amongst them. You were still a little slow to catch on to when something was happening though. Which is where the problem really began.
You had been having a normal day when you met a boy named Andrew, Andy to his friends. You vaguely recognized him. He wasn’t new but he wasn’t an old inhabitant to the island either. Mainly you spotted him here and there but never really talked to him. The only reason you had approached him was because he was joining your fishing route to help you pull up traps.
Most of the time you spent together was walking the east half of the island checking the fishing traps. It was a long and boring job so you had got to talking. Turned out you had a lot in common. Your senses of humor were also similar so your time checking traps was spent laughing a lot. You didn’t think much of it. You were good friends, nothing more.
Felix was not as keen about your friendship though.
One day when you were out doing your route with Andy, Felix had showed up. You jogged up to greet him. “Hey, what are you doing here at this time of day?”
“I could hear you laughing.” he glanced past you at where Andy was standing. “What’s so funny?”
“Oh, it won’t make a lot of sense if I try to explain it. Just a stupid inside joke.” you waved it off without a thought. “Have you met Andy yet?”
“In passing.” Felix muttered. “I didn’t realize you two were so close.”
“Yeah. We’ve become good friends.” you grabbed his hand and pulled him along. “Come say hi. I think that you’ll really like him.”
Surprising no one but yourself, Felix did not like Andy. Every time Andy made a joke, Felix’s scowl deepened. Every little touch had Felix seething. Whether it was when you ruffled Andy’s hair or Andy put an arm around your shoulders, everything seemed to make Felix mad. You didn’t understand why. It wasn’t anything different then how you acted with your other friends. Why did it make him so upset when it was with Andy of all people?
Then one day you got your answer.
You were doing your normal route checking the traps with Andy when he asked you to stop for a minute and take a break. That was fine with you. It was an especially hot day so you could do with some cooling off.
You waded out into the ocean, the cool water bringing your temperature down immediately. Andy swam after you and you floated on the surface of the ocean together.
“Hey, can I tell you something?” Andy asked, breaking the peaceful silence between you.
“You can tell me anything.” you said.
“So, we’re good friends, right?”
“We are.”
“And we get along great. We laugh all the time. I feel like I can talk to you about anything.”
“Yeah. That’s what being friends is.” you weren’t sure where he was going with all this.
“What I guess I’m trying to say is that I--” before he could finish his sentence a large wave crested over you and pushed you down under the water.
You broke the surface and Andy was sputtering for air. “Ah! I got water up my nose!”
“Ha!” you pushed your hair away from your face. “I guess that was the island’s sign that we should be getting back to work. Come on.” you swam back to shore with Andy behind you.
You got out of the water and grabbed your boots. You were still too wet to put them back on.
“Hey, wait, I didn’t get to tell you my thing.” Andy sloshed out of the water.
“Oh right, what did you need?”
“I wanted to tell you that I…I…” Andy was clenching and unclenching his fists by his sides. “Wow, I didn’t think this would be that hard.”
“What is going on? It’s just me.” you squeezed his shoulder, “You know you can talk to me.”
“I know.” he grabbed your hand. “I just…I’ve wanted to tell you for a while now that I…I really…”
He was taking forever to say whatever it was and your focus shifted behind him where you saw someone coming out of the jungle. Oh, it was Felix! That wasn’t surprising. He made a habit of coming to find you once your route was done. A smile stretched on your face after seeing him.
“Can I take that to mean you feel the same?” Andy asked.
You cursed yourself for losing your attention and focused on him again. “Hm? Sorry, I spaced out. What did you say?”
Andy deflated a bit before his chest puffed up again. “Perhaps I should just show you.”
He pulled on your hand so you were drawn closer to him and he cupped your cheek. His face was getting way too close! You pushed him off you. “What the hell are you--”
Before you could get another word out Felix had charged down the beach and tackled Andy, murder in his eyes. He didn’t even say anything. He just started wailing on him.
You shook off your shock and pulled Felix off. “Felix! Calm down!”
“I fucking knew it!” Felix seethed. “I knew there was no way you liked her just as a friend!”
“Felix--”
“You were so fucking pathetic! The way you just dogged after her. Did you really think she’d want a wet rag of an idiot like you!”
“Felix!” you snapped and he turned his attention away from Andy. “It’s okay. Nothing happened.”
“Nothing?” Andy wheezed as he sat up. “I know you like me. You’re so nice to me and you laugh at everything I say. You touch me like we’re more than friends.”
“I’m nice to everyone and I don’t touch you in any kind of special way. I’m a lot more touchy feely with the girls I hang out with than I am with you. Did you really think me messing up your hair was an invitation to kiss me or something?”
“You were flirting!”
“I was not! What about what I did made you possibly think I was flirting? Also, why would I flirt with you when I’m already with someone?”
“I figured you wanted someone you actually got along with. He doesn’t even act like he likes you. Why the hell are you with him?”
“Wow. It is almost like my love life is my own personal business and you don’t get to make assumptions on how much I like someone by your very limited point of view.” you snapped. “Find someone else to do this route with you. I don’t want to hang out with you anymore.”
You grabbed Felix and started to walk away but Felix quickly took the lead and pulled you along back into the jungle. He wasn’t saying anything but from how hard he was squeezing your hand you could tell he was still upset about it all.
“Hey,” you said as you quickened your steps to keep up with his long strides. “I’m sorry about what happened back there. I had no idea that he thought that way about me. I should have realized sooner what he was trying to get at. It should never have escalated to--”
“Stop.” Felix came to a halt, his back to you. “It wasn’t your fault. You were just being yourself, he was the one who--” he cut himself off. His whole body was tensed like a tightly wound spring that would break free at any moment.
“Felix…” you touched his shoulder. He whipped around, grabbing you tight by the shoulders.
“You’re mine. You’re mine and mine alone. Not his! Not anyone else’s! Mine!” It was then that you saw it. There was something like fear in his eyes. You had never seen Felix afraid of anything. But here and now there was something so desperate in his gaze that broke your heart.
“Yes. Yes I am.” you hushed him. You stroked his arms up and down in a soothing motion. “You know that. I don’t want anyone else the way I want you. You’re the only one I feel this way for. It’s alright. Take a deep breath.”
“I know…I know. I just--I can’t--” he was shaking slightly. “Do I not do enough? Do you wish I was more outwardly affectionate or something?”
“You do plenty. I love our relationship exactly as it is. I don’t need you to be glued to me all the time or make big romantic gestures.”
“If I did though, then they wouldn’t feel like they can just take you from me.”
“Is that what you’re worried about? Are you scared that someone is gonna take me away from you?”
He didn’t say anything. “Oh Felix.” you hugged him tight. “No one else will have me. I don’t want anyone else.”
“I love you.” he said, his voice quiet, “But I want to--it just feels like I have to--ugh!” he rested his head on your shoulder.
“It feels like you need to make sure I’m yours? Prove to everyone who I belong to?”
“You don’t belong to me, dove. You’re not a possession, but I just…I need it. I need to make sure I’m still yours.”
“You are. And I am yours, in every way that I can be. And if you need to “reclaim me” to put your mind at ease, then I’m certainly not going to complain.” you pulled dragged his hands down your body and settled them on your hips. “Claim me, Felix.”
He picked his head up, eyes boring into yours. “You sure?”
“Yes.” you pulled him down for a kiss. He kissed you back hungrily, his grip on you turning bruising as he covered your body with his. He dipped to start kissing your neck, sucking on the supple skin that still tasted like sea salt.
“Mine?” he mumbled against your pulse.
“Yours.” you reaffirmed.
He sunk his teeth down where your neck met your shoulder. One of his hands slid past the waistband of your pants and cupped your cunt. He began teasing your clit until you were moaning freely and bucking against his hand.
He stepped back from you just enough to pull your pants down and toss them away. “He had his hands on you. Tried to kiss you. Tried to kiss what is mine.” he muttered, his words barely meeting your ears. He stayed knelt on the ground, one hand splayed on your stomach to keep you up against the tree while the other hooked one your knees over his shoulder.
You grabbed at his choppy blonde hair as his mouth descended on your pussy. He might as well have been dying of thirst with how greedily he lapped up your arousal. You tried to grind against his face but he kept you firmly in place.
He looked up at you from between your legs, eyes dark with a feral lust. He worked you over with his tongue until your chest was heaving and your legs were shaking. “Felix! Please!” your voice was barely more than a whimper.
His nails bit into the flesh of your thigh and he sucked harshly on your clit. It was enough to send you over the edge and you came on his tongue.
You had barely started to blink the stars away from your vision before he was on his feet and shucking your shirt off over your head. In the back of your mind you knew that perhaps you should have moved to somewhere more private. It was a big island but that didn’t mean no one may come across you. That worry though was far from your immediate thoughts at the moment though.
You were quickly ridding Felix of his own shirt but it was hard to get up past his head on your own since he was so freaking tall. He ended up just taking it off himself before pressing his body up against yours.
“Feels like forever since the last time I properly fucked you.” he muttered in your ear as he freed his cock from his pants and rubbed it across your folds. The heat of his erection so close to your cunt had you squirming trying to impale yourself on it.
It had been a while since the last time you two had sex. Maybe that was part of the reason he was so pent up. And you as well for that matter.
He pressed his forehead to yours. “I can’t be gentle with you.” he stressed through his teeth, “Not right now.”
“I don’t want you to be.” you told him. “Now are you going to fuck me so hard I never forget who I belong to or not?”
“Fucking hell, dove.” he kissed you hard. He pushed inside your pussy, filling you completely. He didn’t give you a chance to adjust to the size of him before he was pounding into you. Taking what he wanted from your body without mercy. You clung tight to him, your nails scratching angry red lines across his back as you took the harsh fucking.
“Ah…Felix! Mmm!” you bit your lip to keep from crying out. It was hard to tell where the pleasure started and the pain began. Your back was being scratched to death by the bark at your back but the friction of his cock relentlessly thrusting in and out of your already sensitive pussy felt like heaven.
“Mine.” he murmured against your lips. “You. Are. Mine.” he punctuated each word with a particularly hard thrust.
“Yours. I’m yours.” you whimpered. He swallowed the sound of your moans as your body was being driven steadily closer to a climax.
“Fuck!” his hips snapped against yours even faster. “Dove, I--I--fuck you feel good!”
“Cum for me.” you wrapped your legs around his hips, keeping you close. “Please Felix! Cum for me! Cum in me!”
“Yes…yes dove…gonna…gonna--” he was cut off by a low guttural moan as his cock pulsed and spent itself inside you. He was still fucking you though even as he was cumming.
“Oh god!” you could feel his cum leaking out of you as his cock kept going. How was he still hard after cumming so much?
“More.” he said, his voice hoarse from pleasure. You were sure what he meant but were surprised when he pulled out of you and all but threw you to the ground. You turned to see what he was doing but he flipped you back onto your stomach and hiked your ass off the ground. Oh! You weren’t expecting that. At least the ground was soft so it’d be easier on your knees.
He grabbed you by the hips and pushed back inside you. It felt like he was reaching even deeper inside of you from this position.
Your nails dug into the warm soil of the jungle floor as he went back to fucking you. He was hitting a sweet spot inside you that had you panting and clawing at the ground for some kind of tether to reality. Your legs spread wider to allow him better access to your cunt.
You could feel him bent low over your body, hands splayed on your hips as he rutted against you like a beast in heat. You could feel the fringe of his hair tickling the space between your shoulder blades. A single word grunting past his lips with every sweet shallow thrust. “Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine!”
You squirmed and kicked as your body was driven into a state of pleasure that was overloading your brain. You couldn’t tell if you were trying to get away or push yourself closer to him. Felix answered by dragging your legs back so they rested by his. He was so incredibly close it was hard to tell where his body began and yours ended. Not that you could tell up from down in this exact moment.
Your words were nothing but hot blubbering sighs and garbled calls of his name. Hot tears streaked down your face. Still Felix kept chanting that one word over and over. “Mine!” it got louder and louder until he was practically shouting it.
When he came you came with him, a scream of pleasure so raw it tore your throat apart. Your chest was heaving and your whole body was twitching as it tried to reconcile the orgasm you just had.
Felix was incredibly still except for the heavy breaths you could feel him taking. His voice which had been so loud a moment ago was now quiet and hushed with whispers. “Mine…mine and mine alone…my dove…mine…”
You collapsed onto your sides but Felix kept you pressed close, his softening cock still wedged in your pussy as you caught your breath. His arms wound around you, holding you tight. “You…are you okay?” he asked after a few minutes of silence.
“Yeah. Are you?”
He pressed a soft kiss to the back of your neck. “Yeah. Thanks for letting me get that out of my system.”
“It was my pleasure…literally.” you responded. He sighed which let you know he was fighting back a smile.
“Felix?” you turned your head as far back as you could to look at him. Your nose bumped against his. “Mine.”
He smiled. “Yes, dove. Yours.”

Broken Barrier : Peter Pan X Reader
Author's Notes: This is a story based off one of my recent tiktoks. My tiktok is retrointhenow, the same as my tunblr here! I have tried shifting before and have yet to be successful. I don't have tips for shifting. I'm also not interested in making a part two for this so please don't ask.
---
"Come on." I groaned staring at my ceiling. It's been about a week since my last shift to Neverland. Things went exactly as I wanted them, I set my timeline as a nice calm period. I had everything I wanted. The boys were nice, the mermaids haven't tried to drown me yet, and life was good. Recently I've had trouble shifting back, time moved slowly in Neverland compared to my actual reality, but I think Peter is starting to catch on.
There was a two month break between shifts and Peter heavily questioned where I was. Thankfully I was able to blame the met, aids but I couldn't use that excuse again. Sometime I forget that the language dialect is different that what I'm use to so I'll slip up when I'm talking. I think that's part of what gives me away. At least I wrote down in my scripts that my clothing was different.
Finally I was able to relax and dream of Neverland. It's hard to describe how I get there. But it's like someone turns on a light and then I'm there.
The island was hot and humid today. I analyzed the terrain surrounding me and noticed that I wasn't to far from dead man's peak. A long hike back to base camp. Without a doubt Peter knew I have arrived. He knew everything that happened on his island.
"Y/n ? That you?" I heard someone call. I walked toward the voice and Devin ran around a tree.
"Oh hey Dev! Beautiful day today isn't it ?" I smiled and joined him on his duties. Devin was my best friend, without me writing that in. He was the first to greet me and actually welcome me to the island.
The boys were a little skeptical about a girl arriving in Neverland. Of course Wendy was there, but Peter only kept her as collateral for the Darling boys. Peter had no agenda for me though.
"Don't tell him I said this. But I think Pan has been worried about you." Devin picked some berries.
"How so ?" I worked at another bush. Of course I wanted Peter to like me, but I decided to let it happen naturally. It's my own desired reality where I could control anything but I wanted something to feel real. Besides, I want to know how he would really feel about me.
"He's been running around the island searching for you. He's had quite the bad attitude as well." He frowned and stood up. "If I didn't know better, I'd say Pan cares about you." I passed my bowl to him and rolled my eyes.
"I would like to think so, but Peter has quite the attitude without me being present. Besides, we was probably doing his island perimeter checks." My heart swelled with joy at the though. Could he actually like me ? No, no he's too busy. But Devin wouldn't lie to me. Then again he is a boy. Best not to get my hopes up.
Together Devin and I made to long trek back to the camp. We talked about what happened since I left last. Fortunately he was easy to gaslight and confuse about my whereabouts. I just took pieces of what he said and included them into 'my' story about where I was. From what I gathered Felix has been running the camp as Pan hasn't been around recently. Could that be because of me ? No, I'm stretching to read between the lines.
"Hey Y/n, long time no see huh?" Felix greeted me. I felt myself flush with worry.
"Not such a long time. I'm never too far away." I tried to play it off. It's hard to live two realities simultaneously. Sometimes I mix up my realities and say the wrong thing. One time I was talking to my real world friends about Felix, forgetting that he doesn't truly exist.
We all hung around camp for a while, tidying up and finishing up the daily chores Pan had set for the day. Pan had yet to make his grand appearance since I've shown up.
"Rumor had it, Y/n, that Pan is avoiding you." Jack, one of the older boys, nudged me.
"Huh? What do you mean avoiding me ?" I picked my head up from the fire and looked at the lost boy.
"I don't know, but no one has seen you for a good two days. Since then he's had this twisted look on his face. Kinda perplexed." He threw sticks into the fire.
You know the saying " speak of the devil and he shall appear"? I tend to think that's true, cause right after Jack said that Pan waltzed in. Everyone went silent, only the crackling of the bonfire could be heard, Aline with the island creatures too.
"Carry on." Pan said. Slowly the noise picked back up. He walked to his tent. The boys started dancing as the sound of the Pan pipe started. Peter played a slow and mesmerizing rendition of the iconic 3 note Peter Pan melody.
"You should go talk to him." Felix sat next to me. I peeled my eyes open as I started to fall asleep.
"About what ?" Pan continued to play soothing songs. He knows how much I love listening to him play.
"Come on. I'm not stupid. I know you like him, and I believe with a best friends intuition that he likes you to." He gave me a comforting smile.
"It would never work anyway." I shrugged.
"You never know. He fronts whoever he's near you. Tries to act tough. But behind closed huts, he thinks about you." Felix stood up and brought me with him. "If things don't work out you can alway, according to Pan "go back to your world". " I felt my body stiffen. No way. I mean, yes Pan somehow knows everything, but he can't know about my world. Or that I even exist outside of Neverland. Might have to make a note about that when I wake up.
I drug myself to Pan's hut and nervously opened the tarp.
"Need some company?" I poked my head in.
"I think you're gonna come in anyway." He sat his flute down and walked to his desk.
"Observant I see." I fully stepped into his room. I had seen his hut before but never fully pictured it. He had a small bed and a decent desk cluttered with papers. He whisked his arm over the desk and the parchment disappeared, most likely to his desk in the Thinking Tree. The thinking tree is his actual home, he only stays in the camp hut for temporary reasons.
"Is there something I can help you with ?" He sighed and turned towards me. Looking directly at me for the first time today. His Forrest green eyes searched my being. I made my way around the hut before sitting on the twin sized bed.
"You haven't spoken to me today." I crossed my legs and cleaned the dirt from under my fingernails. I heard the creaking of his wooden desk from him sitting on it.
"Where do you go ? When you leave here ?"
"I don't-"
"Bullshit." He stopped me. "I know everything Y/n. You often forget that." I folded my hands together and chewed on my lip.
"Something's are unknowable. Even unexplainable." I held my breath and hoped he wouldn't be able to figure anything out. He cracked a smile, he got me. I know magic can pass through the fairytale realms, even to a place where magic certainly doesn't exist ?
"I know you're not really here. In Neverland. You go somewhere else when you disappear for days at a time. Especially that time you left for two weeks. I feel it." He hopped off the desk and walked towards me.
"I'm right here. Sitting in front of you. You're looking right at me." I challenged him. If I learned one thing, it was how to battle with Pan, verbal and physical. I felt my face heat up, my tell.
"I might be looking at you Y/n, but I'm not seeing you. You have this thousand yard stare and sometimes it's like you're not even here." Thousand yard stare ? I just get lost in my own mind sometimes. Unfortunately I fell weak to Peter Pan, no matter what. I could hang with Peter and his games just long enough but I always fell short just before the finish line. Always fumbling the bag.
"You always knew too much for your own good." I smiled sadly. Would I break his heart if I told him he wasn't real in my life ? Even though I had been visiting Neverland for months it felt like years. I felt like I had a second family, I had real fun being with the boys, living in a land of magic was indeed enchanting.
"I know that if we lived in the same reality that maybe we could be together like you want." He stroked my hair and lifted my head to look at him. I tried my hardest to not look at him. He knew, and it broke my heart instead. "Look at me Y/n." I slowly dragged my eyes to look at him, tears filled my waterline.
"Do you think that could actually happen ? Us being together if I was truly here ?" My voice faltered with each word. It feels wrong to ask that. Knowing it's not real to me. I have a real life, not this made up fabricated dream world.
He had moved his index finger from under my chin to my cheek to cup it. He gently stroked his thumb across the area, catching a stray tear. "I think friends don't look at each other the way we do unless we wanted something more." His voice was soft and soothing.
I leaned into his touch and closed my eyes. Everything felt so real. "It could never work. It wouldn't be real. For either of us." His other hand held mine.
"For what it's worth. It feels real when we're together."
So was it wrong for us to lead each other on like that ? Pretending what we had was real ? Maybe so, but neither of us had been happier than in the moments we spent together.
---
But eventually I went back to my reality and left Peter in his. I still get visions in my dream of him, but that's all they are. I haven't even tried to shift in months. But we knew this would happen at some point. You can't postpone the inevitable. Now it's time to move on. Move on from something that never truly happened.
Peter's POV
"She's not coming back. Is she?" Felix stood next to me, staring at her empty hut.
"No. But she'll never forget us. We're always going to be a part of her." Felix nodded and walked off to join the other boys. I'll find where she came from, I'll search for her and bring her back.
Until then I'll watch her hut. Waiting for her to walk out, waiting for her to come home.
