“Can I ask you a question?” Felix’s voice was quiet and shy around her. He wasn’t used to being vulnerable around someone. He observed her reaction and smiled a little when she nodded. “Why are you here?”
“I am running away from my responsibilities.”
He hummed, satisfied with the reply, and went back to watching the night sky. He didn’t ask further questions, Felix knew what she meant by that: the fear of becoming an adult. It was odd because she was staying with Hook but he enjoyed spending time with her. She understood him better than Pan, at the same level of Rufio. He had put all his trust into him, told him his deepest secrets and desires and he was… he was not here anymore.
Felix should despise her because she was technically one of Hook’s but he couldn’t never bring himself to hate her. She had been nothing but kind, gentle and agreeable. It was a contrast, compared to the pirates. He wondered how she got herself tangled into their mess but she assured him many times it had been her own choice.
The second in command rolled on his side and curled closer to her. Her arm went around his shoulders, his head nesting on her beating her with a sigh of contempt. He wished she could stay, it was selfish of him to desire this, knowing how Pan and Hook would react and he never asked her to stay. Did she ever want to stay at his side? Would it be worth it?
"Have you ever thought of leaving Neverland?"
"We can't leave." His response was fast because it was the truth: Pan wouldn’t allow it. He had never thought about leaving actually.
"I know. I would love to have you with me, you know, exploring realms together." She stated with a sweet voice.
"Me and Hook aren't friends." He killed Rufio.
She didn't talk about that. She kept silent and he feared he might have hurt her feelings. Felix closed his eyes and tried to sleep away.
"Promise me you will always be with me." She whispered as she stroke his dirty golden hair.
"I swear, if I break it, crush my heart to pieces." He said without thinking. She let out a small soft laugh at his words.
"I will never do such things to you."
"Then I will guide you through it."
"So romantic." She joked.

Forget me Not
This is the part 2 of this first imagine :3 I hope you will all like it! Please tell me if you did!
@retrointhenow @athenalive
Summary: As people celebrates the return of Henry, you happen to catch a familiar face amongst the crowd but who is he?
Tumblr media
Living with Rumpletilskin hasn't been easy on you.
First of all, he was, most of the time, speaking in ridiculous riddles and you never really understood him when he spoke. Second of all, he was a mean one. You had seen him killing someone for almost nothing, because he felt like it or wanted to show off. And finally, he always included you in his plans. That’s how you found yourself in an unknown town, with unknown people and with unknown features. People never called you by your real name but used one that never was yours. In this life, you weren’t (Y/N) the former pirate turned house slave for Rumpletilksin but Anne Gold, the adopted daughter of the town’s pawn shop owner.
After a blond woman named Emma came into town, you had suddenly regained your memories from being a maid or rather castle keeper of the Dark One. He seemed to also gain his back and immediately went back to “work” as he called it. It was strange, to pretend not to remember anything. It also seemed you were tied directly to his mind or spirit or magic, that could explain why you also remembered your life before that curse. Of course, you were forbidden from speaking about this to anybody, he made sure to threaten you very well and you also didn’t want to be locked up in the creepy psych ward of Storybrooke’s hospital.
Of course, it never was easy. Emma seemed to have taken an interest or liking to you and always walked by the shop when “mister Gold” was not present to talk with you. She even invited to a girl’s night with Mary Margaret aka Snow White and her mother if you had followed what Rumpletilskin explained to you. You knew you couldn’t agree to join them so you had to decline, and surprisingly it made you sad. Emma didn’t have any ill intentions toward you but she seemed comprehensive and gave you her personal number.
Thanks to Emma and her son Henry, (who was also the adopted son of the mayor… The whole family tree gave you a headache!), everyone now had regained their memories. Moving around the city was no longer easy: everyone saw you as the partner in crime of the Dark One. True, you had killed some people for him and did some crimes but to your defense, you couldn’t just not obey him. He had insisted a few times he could do whatever he wanted to you and could use his magic to make you his puppet. You preferred to use whatever free will you got instead of becoming more of a mindless slave. Also, Rumpletilskin was getting infuriated with that princess Belle, who also became his maid in their previous lives. Seeing them together made you gag so now he was falling more and more for her, you had a lot of free time.
Everyone celebrated when Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger, appeared and accosted on the port. With Belle and Ruby the werewolf, you approached the giant boat, feeling uneasy. You didn’t know what could happen with the pirate captain, Hook. If your memory was well, he had thrown you out, in the face of danger. You had avoided him all the time he was in Storybrooke so you hoped the reunion will be quick. You wanted to go home.
Watching as everyone left the boat, which was a considerable amount of people, you caught a familiar face in the crowd. It was odd. Ruby seemed to sense your interest in that certain person and smirked.
“Already have a crush? I didn’t know you were the type.”
“No, I… I saw him before. I know him.” You stuttered out as you followed him with your eyes.
You knew him. It was the young man from your dreams. You had never attempted to draw him, but you had a clear image on how he looked and that tall boy looked exactly the same as he did. Maybe… Maybe you both indeed knew each other before your life as a pirate?
“What do you mean, you know him?” Ruby asked, confused at your statement.
“I have to speak to him, can you please keep the others at bay?” You begged her, knowing she won’t refuse it. She smiled and nodded. “Thank you.”
You jogged up to the young man who stood apart from the crowd. He looked quite angry at his predicament and was judging everyone his eyes wandered by. You hoped he would talk to you, he did seem not enjoying what was happening. However, his eyes noticed you and you saw some kind of sparkles in them, he was lighting up at your mere repsence. You didn’t udnerstand why but it meant you two definitely knew each other.
“(Y/N)! I thought I lost you forever.” He spoke first, his hands reaching for you but you stepped back, a bit worried. How did he know your name? Why did he sound concerned and happy? “Is something wrong? I mean, I know I told you were allowed to forget me but-”
“I am sorry I have no idea what you are talking about. How do you know my name?”
“You… You don’t remember?” He stuttered out, visibly horrified, his eyes wide opened. You tried to understand his reaction but you couldn't. "Are you… are you joking? After everything we went through?"
"I'm really sorry, I don't even know your name."
"It's Felix. But I thought-"
"Stay away from her, you dirty flea-ridden dog!" Rumpletilskin roughly pushed the lost boy, Felix, out of the way and he glared at him. "Don't torment her."
"I am not her tormentor! What did you do to her?! What happened to the deal?"
Wait, what deal?" You then questioned Rumpletilskin but you got no reply. Turning to Felix, you noticed how angry and furious he looked, reaching for something inside his sleeves. Your eyes widened: it was a dagger. What was he going to do?
"You fucking liar!"
"You didn’t know what you signed for, dearie." The Dark One replied with a condescending tone. "I wouldn't expect a lost boy to know how to read. No need to jam that thing into me, it won't work."
You were completely ignored by the two. The tension was running high and the others quickly ran over after they heard the screaming and the arguing. Felix was soon taken away and he trashed as he dragged, yelling to you he was going to explain himself.
“So… you know me, right?” You asked, hoping he wasn’t scared to tell you the eventual truth. Or were you scared of the truth yourself? “From before?”
“ I know you, and pretty well if you ask me.” He replied with a cheeky smile, it was so odd to see him that calm and… joyous. He approached the jail’s bars and seemed to regret it was separating both of you. You were still wary of him, especially after what Rumpletilskin told you the night before. “You have nothing to fear from me.” Oh, so he noticed how frightened you seemed.
“He said you tried to use me against Hook.”
“Ah, so he told you this? Well, actually, you were the one trying to use me to help Hook. It didn’t end very well.” He recalled with a soft hum. He looked angrier at Hook and the Dark One. “ You fell in love with me.” He eventually admitted, eying your reaction.
“I did? So fast?” You said, with almost disgust.
“I am glad you have the same reaction as before about that.” He laughed at your reaction before telling you his side of the story: you trying to use him, warning him against the pirates that were getting ready to attack the lost boy’s camp, the fight, you getting locked up into the trapdoor and him rescuing you… In a way, it made sense. Your memories were still hazy but somehow, you found yourself trusting and believing Felix more than the Dark One. His story made more sense, but then why couldn’t you remember?
“I am sorry.”
“Why are you? Nothing is your fault. It’s rather mine.” The blond young man sighed and sat on the metal and uncomfortable bed. “ I was so focused on your safety that I completely forgot or foolishly believed the Dark One would not harm you. I mean, he didn’t, but he blocked your memories and faked some. It’s… horrible.”
“ I would like to be the person you describe.” Your eyes met his and for a moment, you found yourself thinking about Neverland and how beautiful and dangerous it was… Did that mean you were recovering your memories? “ They say True Love Kiss can break any curse, perhaps it could break Rumple’s hold on me? I am linked to him.”
“You want me to kiss you?” He shyly asked, his cheeks a little red. It was cute.
“ Well… you did say we were very close and in love, haven’t we kissed yet?”
“ Erm… We did way more than kissing.” Oh. Now it was your time to blush. “ But it’s worth the try, if you are okay with this. I wouldn’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
Oddly enough, you were very comfortable with him. That boy had just showed up yesterday and you found yourself immediately drawn to him. That’s why you believed the lost boy than the rest. Approaching the bars, you fiddled with a magic key that took the form of any lock. Was it betrayal? You somewhat didn’t really care, what mattered was to discover the truth. The door opened without a sound, someone must have finally greased it.
He seemed very nervous to kiss you. He kept asking if you wanted to do this
“ I haven’t kissed anyone in years. I may be rusty. And how do you know this kiss will be a True Love’s one?”
“We will know, don’t worry.”
“I worry.”
You chuckled and decided to take the helm. Standing on your tiptoes, you watched as he hesitantly leant him and your lips met. However, nothing happened. But that didn’t stop you from pushing the taller boy against the wall and to continue kissing. You felt at your place in his arms, like he was your home and that you have been away for such a long time. And now, you were back.
Felix gently nudged you and you hugged him. He went tense for a little moment then hugged you back. He seemed relieved you were able to do physical things with him.
“What the heck is going on?!”
You yelped and broke away, to your dismay, from Felix. He didn’t say anything but instantly grew worried for his fate as an furious Emma walked toward you and yanked your arm.
“You, out!” You never thought she would be that angry at you and violent with you. She always seemed to be happy around you, and you had hoped to have a friend in her. Obviously, when it came to villains except the ones she spent time with, she seemed alright but when it came to the others…
“We weren’t doing anything bad.” You spat, frustrated at her anger. Felix was not a threat. He didn’t do anything wrong, and he certainly was not a villain like Regina or Rumpletilskin were.
“ We need to have a talk together.” The woman groaned and closed the door with a frown on her face. “Right now!”
“I will see you later, I promise!” You called out to the lost boy who just nodded, eying Emma with an equally furious glare.
Emma was mad at you for kissing him. She wouldn’t even let you explain yourself as she drove her awful car back to the pawnshop. But you didn’t want to enter the shop. You wanted to go back to Felix and his warm skin. Finally, you snapped and forced Emma to stay in the car. She was your friend, she was supposed to understand your actions, and while she may not support it, you just wanted to tell her how you felt.
“ I feel like he is the only one who isn’t lying to me. I just wanted to break away from everything and everyone. Rumple has been lying and using me, Hook did too. I just… Felix makes me feel normal and like I don’t have to walk on eggs all the time.” You blurted out as she was about to open her car’s door.
“What do you mean? Rumple told us-”
“He says a lot of things but not the truth.” You hissed, and glared at the door from the shop. You wished to set it on fire.
“Why did you kiss him?”
“ I wanted to see if a True Love kiss would break me from my link with Rumpletilskin.” You answered honestly and she seemed to soften at the mention. “ I just want to be normal. To be the old me.”
Emma stayed quiet. You stared nervously at her and then looked down at your knees. What if she didn’t believe you? What if she found your ideas silly?
“Fine.” She groaned and sighed, looking defeated.
“Fine what?”
“ I will not let you down, believe it or not, I care about you.” Emma started her car again and left the small parking lot. You smiled brightly as you recognized the road that led to Storybrooke’s police station. “ Let’s get your lost boy prince out and figure out what we can do to recover your memories.”
To prevent any blood feud, she decided to let Felix stay in the police station. It was still not confortable for your stands for him but you couldn’t possibly let him inside your home or Emma’s. You were sitting on a spinning chair and Felix on a desk, eying the chair with a confused look. He seemed at loss for words about it. Emma was pacing in front of you, trying to understand what Felix had told her.
“ Let me get this straight again: you and her were together, she betrayed Hook, she ran away and you made a deal with the Dark One.” She then looked at you and pointed her finger at you. “But you got your memories falsified and erased but you dreamt of your old life. So, now you are trying to find a way to break your link with Rumple.”
“ You got everything right. » Felix chimed in, swinging his legs back and forth. « And True Love’s kiss didn’t help.”
“Maybe we need to destroy the deal or… or force Rumpletilskin to let you go.”
“He will refuse. I know it.” You said, thinking about it. If you were honest, you were absolutely terrified of him. He may look like a sweet limping grandpa but… deep down he was very scary and frightening. All the events you had witnessed with him had led to the conclusion that he was overprotective and somewhat of a psychopath. He will try to kill or hurt Felix without any doubt. “Even with puppy eyes.”
“Then what do we do?” Felix groaned, his tone showing how discouraged he was. “It feels hopeless.”
“ Let’s not lose hope yet. There is always a solution.” Emma tried to cheer both of you up but it didn’t really work. It felt like she wasn’t believing it as well. “ So, Felix, are you okay staying here for the night? I can make the place more comfortable. We will find a housing solution tomorrow. And no, you can’t stay.” She stared at you with a small smile. “You have to dine at your house.”
“It’s not fair.” You muttered under your breath as Emma chuckled.
“Nothing is fair in life, kid.”
Dinner at your household was… chaotic. Usually, you wouldn’t even eat with them, but for the evening, you had been forced to do so. Neal or Baelfire (you never knew which name to use) was at the table, enjoying Belle’s cooking. For once, Rumpletilskin looked happy or was it just a facade? You kept thinking about everything that happened earlier that day: meeting Felix again had been the happiest and the most confused moment of your life. You were sad you couldn’t remember anything about the past and you secretly hoped to regain your memories quickly so you could run away with the lost boy. After all, wasn’t it your first wish at the time?
As you were getting distracted by your thoughts, you were soon forced to intereact with Neal and the others, to your dismay. You weren’t a part of the family, so why did they insist on speaking to you? You groaned some answers out as Belle talked to you and then, Neal went on to ask a question:
“So… How did you come to my father’s service?”
“He tricked my lover into making me his errand girl.” You answered, not even thinking twice about calling Felix your lover, which was nothing but the truth. But you secretly enjoyed the Dark One’s furious face at the mention of the story. “And he erased some of my memories.”
“You can do better than this low life snake.” The older man stated as he glared at you, which you did too. Belle tried to calm things down but it was not working. “Maybe I should have brought you back to Hook.”
“What’s wrong with Felix? Not as evil as you are?”
“Okay, erm, Belle, can I take another slice? This pie is delicious.” Neal tried to change the topic but it was too late: you were in the middle of jousting with the Dark One, and you didn’t like being interrupted.
“He is my father’s second in command, of course I was dying to hurt him. You are just collateral damage. Besides, I treated you well, didn’t I?!” Rumpletilskin roared, the room shaking a bit.
“You are a monster! That’s what you are!” You screamed back, standing up so fast and abruptly that your chair fell to the ground. You couldn’t help but feel repulsed by him and you couldn’t stand being in the same room as the deal maker. “No wonder everyone hates you, and should, you even abandoned your son! You are just like your father!”
It took all his might to not blow you up, you were certain of this. Storming out of the dining room, you stumbled into the shop and miraculously found a strange ruby which was beating inside a glass cage on a table, in a dark and dusty. Something was attracting you to the jewel and you didn’t hear all the commotion in the other room. As you realized the Dark One was shouting and was after you, you knocked the glass cage out (and it broke as soon as it touched the ground) and grasped the ruby.
You ran away in the dark of the night without even a jacket on. Groaning and warming your hands by rubbing them together, you pushed the door of your destination: Storybrooke’s police station. At this hour, no one was here, except for Felix. You hoped to not wake him up as you arrived. Taking out the ruby from your pocket, you inspected it closer: it reminded you of a little heart. Kind of cute, you thought. It was pulsing between your fingers as you looked at it. It truly was beautiful.
“Who’s there?” Someone called from inside the station.
“It’s me.” You said simply as you approached. “Can I turn the light on?” Felix agreed and he winced when the lights went on. He shielded his eyes for a little bit as you made your way toward him. “I found something.”
“Shouldn't you be with your family?” He questioned, concern in his voice. He truly looked like he was worried about you. You weren’t used to it but it felt nice to have someone who looked ready to walk through hell for you.
“They’re not my family!” You snapped and apologized for the outburst. You sat down at his level on the air mattress and extended your hand, with the ruby in your palm. “I couldn’t help but steal it.”
“It’s…” Felix started to speak but stopped as his eyes landed on the beautiful gem.
“Is something wrong?” You asked, worried. He looked frozen. He turned his attention to you and pointed to the jewel.
“Do you know what that is?”
“Yes, a ruby. I mean, a strange one, it is moving, like a heart. It’s probably magical, I stole it from the shop.” You replied honestly, not understanding why Felix was so worked up about this. He looked on the verge of crying.
“It is the piece of heart I gave to seal the deal with Rumpletilskin.” He revealed and softly and delicately took it between his fingers, inspecting it like you did. “He never used it.” He whispered, not believing it.
Watching Felix, you realized how much the second in command must have loved you. Making a deal with the Dark One was almost suicidal, not a lot of people could meet his incredible demands. But Felix did. He gave a piece of his heart, for you, for your safety. Romance was not dead, you joked internally. This was the greatest proof that he had cared deeply about you. You took his other hand and held it to your mouth, kissing his knuckles softly.
“He will kill you for taking it.” Felix suddenly seemed to realize you had stolen from the Dark One, but you didn’t care about him at all. Rumpletilskin could rot in hell. He deserved it.
“It’s yours. He should be the one dying.” You replied as you wondered how to place this little piece into Felix’s heart. You guessed it was not like a puzzle, and you couldn’t possibly sew it back to its place. Another mystery to solve. “We will find a solution.”
“Of course we will.”
You and Felix had bundled up on the air mattress. He had fallen fast asleep, snoring from time to time, but not very loud. You remembered how you had shared a room with someone once and they were snoring so loudly and badly that it made the walls shake and you ended up sleeping in the bathtub, not a very pleasant experience in your opinion. Laying there and looking at him, you wondered if you truly would regain your memories. You felt sad that you couldn’t remember your time with him. He was a sweet boy (at least toward you).
Someone was nudging you in the middle of a dream. Groaning, your eyes opened to a very concerned Emma. Felix was already sitting up in bed, his hair more tangled than ever. His eyes traveled to you and the older woman in the room. You rubbed your eyes and yawned. What time was it?
“What?”
“Rumple knows you are here and he wants to speak to you.”
“No. Tell him to go fuck himself.” You replied as you laid back onto the mattress. Felix was still silent, he must have felt he was not needed in the conversation.
“(Y/N)!” She sighed, exasperated. You understood why she looked so tired, especially of your behaviour, but she had to understand too: you had just learnt he manipulated you, fabricated and erased memories. It was not something you wanted to slide. He had done wrong again and again, this was his punishment. “Just do it. He is ready to… talk. To mend things. This is an unique opportunity.”
“I think you should do it.” Felix surprisingly told you and touched your hair softly. “Maybe you will get him to help with my heart.”
“What are you both talking about?”
“Nothing, don’t worry. I will go.” You didn’t want to leave Felix. What if Rumpletilskin wanted just to hurt you more? But he was right: he held the key to helping the second in command.
He was waiting outside, on a bench. Emma didn’t walk with you, she instead stayed at the entrance of the police station. The heart’s piece was in Felix’s hands and you trusted him more than anything. But why did you feel bad as you approached the older man? He looked a bit gloomy and desperate. He perked up when you arrived and stood up with the help of his cane.
“(Y/N).” He acknowledged with a nod. “I am happy you decided to come meet me. I wasn’t sure…”
“Get to the point.” You sternly interrupted and he sat back on the bench. You didn’t buy his sad puppy act. He did it with Belle when he messed up and she always forgave him, but it was not going to work with you.
“I know that you are very angry that I lied to you. I understand. I am not the only one to blame in this situation.”
“You erased my memories. You took that away from me! And you also used Felix.” You then accused, the way you saw it, he was the only one responsible.
“Just let me talk and you get to insult me after. I understand why you are worked up about this. Believe it or not, I grew to care and love you. That’s why I decided to let you go and destroy the deal from loverboy.” He blurted out.
You were at loss for words. Rumpletilksin never did that in the past, he never… never destroyed a deal? This was a trick. Surely it must be one. He was watching you like a hawk, awaiting your reaction. What should you do? What should you say? It was not your deal, it was Felix’s but… but you didn’t know to say or think.
“So?”
“I… Are you serious?” You took a seat next to him, observing his demeanor. “I don’t understand. You had never done that. Why would you-?”
“Get your old memories back and get the piece that you stole back into your lover’s heart?” The Dark One cut you off with a genuine and rare smile. “That’s because I care, like I said. I do care about you. I want you to be happy. That’s what differentiate me from that smelly captain.”
You were feeling bad about judging Rumpletilskin so fast. Maybe he indeed changed. Maybe spending time with Belle had made him soft but in the right way. You still couldn’t believe what he had just told you.
“Thank you. I don’t know how to repay you.” You babbled out as he stood up and you followed him back to the police station.
“You can’t repay me. I feel… sad that I have to let you go. But I can’t keep you forever. You will have to leave the nest one day. And I am sure you will be well protected by this… gorilla.” He talked as he quietened down since Emma was listening.
“Don’t call him that.”
Anxiously, you watched as Felix stood tall, trying to make himself bigger as he faced the Dark One. As you understood well, the two had an unpleasant history together, which was linked to Peter Pan. And considering Rumpletilskin had already fooled him, you understood why your lover was on edge. Luckily (or not) Emma was present, making herself the referee. She waited like you, her arms crossed over her chest.
Rumplestiltskin had Felix’s heart’s piece in his hand. He was looking at it, seeming regretful. Maybe he was disappointed he didn’t use this piece for a powerful magic spell or curse. You couldn’t wait until it was finished. You were so eager to gain your former memories back. You wanted to remember all your time with Felix.
He snapped his fingers together abruptly, a parchment appearing out of thin air. It held a choppy and childlike signature at the end. You couldn’t read everything on it as a fire burnt it down, the ashes falling to the ground. As it did, you felt a swirl of emotions and something else in the pit of your stomach, as if you were about to throw up from nausea. Then, it was your turn to fall into Emma’s arms.
When you awoke, you weren’t inside the police station anymore but rather on a very comfortable sofa, with a blanket over your body. You slowly sat up and looked around, remembering now it was Snow and Emma’s place. How did you end up there? And what happened? Your head was hurting so bad, it felt like a morning after drinking too much. You were feeling like you had been put in the washing machine and then the dryer.
The events came back to you quickly as well. You remembered everything, including your erased memories. You smiled a little, thinking about your first meeting with the second in command or when he saved you from Hook. It meant it worked. Rumpletilskin had set you free. You felt relieved and thankful toward the Dark One. He had honored his part of the deal or rather… his promise. Hoping he had put back Felix’s heart together, you slowly stood up as you heard people speaking. Everyone stopped once they realized you were up.
“Hey kid. Had a nice nap?” David joked as he handed you a cup of coffee.
“Did it work? You have all your memories?” Emma questioned, looking a little concerned for your wellbeing.
“Yeah, I do. Where’s Felix? Is he okay?” It was your turn to be worried, he wasn’t present. Your eyes scanned their faces and they didn’t seem to share a dreadful face or your thoughts.
“He’s fine, he is getting new clothes and probably a haircut… and a bath. Belle is handling everything.” David replied, seeming grateful he wasn’t the one to do that.
They went back to talking about anything. Since you were bored, you sat on a stool and drank your coffee quietly, not caring about the world around you. What now? Rumpletilskin had kind of kicked you out by now, since you weren’t his slave anymore. It felt weird to have freedom. And what could you do with Felix? Stay in Storybrooke, working and having your own place together? It sounded like a dream, but it wasn’t exactly the life you wished for. You were still hungry for adventure and exploration. But you didn’t know if Felix felt the same. You wanted to know about his intentions.
“Do you love him?” Emma asked suddenly with a serious tone after the others left. You had been sitting in the kitchen for so long your ass started to hurt.
“I do.” You replied sincerely and stared into her eyes. “I can’t live without him. He gave his heart for me, if he wasn’t in love with me… He wouldn’t have done that.”
“And you wouldn’t have stolen his heart’s piece from Rumple if you didn’t care.” The blond woman sighed with a sad and small smile. She seemed to have an internal debate with herself before approaching you and giving you something. “Open it.”
You did as you were told cautiously. You gasped at the sight of a magic bean, just waiting to be used. Your eyes met Emma’s and you couldn’t even form a simple sentence. You had so many questions: how did she acquire this? Why is she giving it to you? Why was she helping?
“It’s Neal’s, he also found it in the shop and wanted you to have it.”
“Why?” You whispered. Why would Rumple’s son help you? You barely knew each other!
“He said, and I agree with him, that you and Felix won’t be happy staying in Storybrooke. You need to write your own story elsewhere, go on adventures, be young and careless, this kind of stuff.” She continued, and you could see tears pearling in her eyes. She seemed very serious about letting you go and she had considered you like a little sister. “I am fine, don’t worry about me.”
“Thank you so much Emma.”
“Go. Be free.” She hugged you. Was this what freedom tasted like?
Packing hadn’t been easy. You had bought a ton of things as if you were going hiking. Of course, you brought weapons: guns, ammunitions, swords, a crossbow for Felix… And food. You put on the hiking back on your shoulders, wincing a bit when you nearly fell on the ground because of the weight. It didn’t matter. Felix knew how to hunt and fish, you were sure he was great at it, and you had brought some magical items in case something went wrong. You intended on exploring realms with him. You contemplated yourself in your small bedroom’s mirror, you only had the bare necessities in your whole life. Maybe you could have everything you wanted now? It felt strange, to think you had your destiny and faith in your own hands.
You wondered if Felix was alright with this. You were so happy about leaving or being able to do what you wanted that you forgot what he may want. Perhaps he wanted to stay here? He had been living on a dangerous island for centuries, maybe he would like to live in Storybrooke, where life was quieter but with its share of adventures and dangers? Feeling bad, you put the bag down on the ground and sat down with a sad sigh on the bed. You needed his opinion. You snorted, thinking about how this was the first step to being a good and healthy couple.
Speaking of the devil, Felix knocked softly on your open door and stepped in with a smile. His hair wasn’t cut but still wet, and you thought about poor Belle who must have dragged him to a hairdresser. She had told you it was her intention, but seeing his hair hasn’t changed… Well, she must have lost to the fierce lost boy. He sat down next to you and gestured to the bags on the ground.
“What’s all this?”
“Well… I thought that we could go on adventures, just the two of us in another world.” You said with a silly smile, it felt unnatural to do it but at the same time… with him, it felt normal. “I mean… I don’t know if you want to do it. What you feel matters too. I will be willing to stay.”
“Stay? Here? With all those fucking heroes trying to tame me?” Felix replied, putting a hand on his chest, looking scandalized. At least he was funny. “No way. Sharing a home with you, yes, but not here. Not with them.”
“So you are okay with me taking the lead?”
“I will give you my heart if I can.” He spoke sincerely and kissed your nose softly.
“Technically you did.”

Note
Hi!! So I've seen you account recently and I really would like you to write Felix x reader when the Reader is always so guffy and childish. So they are sick like they have very bad fever, almost faint and they are weary weak and Felix take care of them and sing them lullaby them by singing and rocking them please.
Hello! I hope you will like what I wrote! 🤗
Lullaby
Summary: A lost girl gets sick and goes into Felix's care
There was a problem with her, he was certain of it.
Girls who came to the island were not that joyous and happy to be there, unlike some of the lost boys. But there was one girl, Felix noticed, that seemed to be always in a cheerful and lunatic mood. If anything, the girl spoke in riddles sometimes which annoyed him a lot. He wished that Pan would kick her out but the leader of the lost boys found her amusing and often participated in her riddles and jokes. And don’t let him start on her puns. They were bad. But, in a way, she grew to like him. He had been forced to spend time with her and when he looked things her way… well, life was not that bad and horrendous.
The problem he thought about was just after they went back from fishing: she accidentally had fallen into the lagoon and was shivering cold as she walked back to camp. He had grown worried when she didn’t come out of her tent the next day, and asked one of the girls, Sadie, to go check on her. He was even more concerned when Sadie came back and told him she looked very faint and not very well. No one had been sick on Neverland for a very long time and it didn’t help Pan left to attend some business elsewhere. The responsibility fell into his hands to take care of her. He acted like he would have liked someone else to do it, but deep down, he was quite scared that she got ill. How could this have happened? Was she going to be okay?
Since none of them had been sick in a very long time, Felix had appointed himself as the guardian of the sick girl. For once, he will be able to slow down a bit, she wasn’t needy and the others were so afraid of catching a cold from him, so they avoided him, which was the greatest thing that ever happened to the second in command. It was just easy, he could get away without doing much of his own chores.
But as the days went by, she showed no sign of gaining her strength back. The lack of sleep she experienced was also very strange and concerning. Felix couldn’t help but worry if her state was going to get better. It was not in his nature to get so anxious about that someone, but… she was a different case. He found himself missing her strange humor. He went as far as asking Tinkerbell, the fairy without wings, a remedy for her and got quite irked by her teasing.
“You wouldn’t go that far for someone, not even Pan. What’s so special about that one?” She had mocked as she handed him some kind of tea. “It should make her better in some days, make sure she drinks it twice a day.”
He kept thinking about what she said though. It was true he never considered the others lost ones because he simply didn’t care. She was different for a reason, he was getting soft on her because she was very sick. Yeah, that was the reason. He followed the instructions to make her the tea and brought it to her after everyone had gone to sleep. Even if he cared, he didn’t want the others to know it. They would immediately turn that affection of his against him, going as far as informing Pan as soon as their leader will come back.
Penetrating into the tent, he tried to stay strong and not to share some words with the sick girl. It was very difficult: (Y/N) really didn’t look well. She laid on her cot, snuggling some fur blankets and clearly looked in pain. She perked up when she heard him approaching with the steamy cup. He handed it quickly to her.
“Drink.”
Her shaking hands took the cup from him and he was surprised when she drank all of it fastly: it didn’t smell the greatest but perhaps she trusted him and his remedy? That was all so strange. He couldn’t help but put his hand on her forehead, she was still going through a fever. Felix hoped Pan would be back any day now: he couldn’t stand taking care of her… Or rather, he couldn’t stand her being in constant pain and not being able to help.
Pulling a stool that was in the corner of her tent, he sat down and just waited for any improvement from her health. She was trying to sleep but wasn’t: she moved like a little worm in her bed. Felix released a sigh, indicating his light frustration from not being able to help.
“You can leave if you want.” Her soft voice reached his ears and he hummed at that, his eyes focusing on her tired face. “I wouldn’t want you to be sick because of me.”
“I would have been ill for a long time by now. And you don’t get to order me around.” It was easy to hide everything behind his cold face. But it was hard to pretend he didn’t care and never felt emotions. He liked his hard shell. “You are cute but not that cute.” He muttered under his breath without thinking.
“So you think I am cute?” She spoke with a smile and he blushed. She had heard him. He needed to get the upper hand again.
“Shut up and sleep.” He hissed and attempted to not be bothered by what she told him.
“I can’t. Sing me something.” She mumbled as she snuggled her covers once again.
He snorted at her comment. What did she think he was? A troubadour? A opera singer? He was none of those. This was such a ridiculous idea, so why was Felix even trying to find something to sing to her?! This was madness. He closed his eyes and sighed once again, wondering if he should leave or not. But he wanted to stay with her. He didn’t think she would be that annoying though.
“I don’t know songs.”
“A lullaby then? Anything to soothe me to sleep?”
He knew one, in his own native language. He felt shy suddenly and wondered if she was going to judge him for what he was about to do. The second in command felt also some kind of shame: what if the lost ones hear him? He knew the girls wouldn’t make a fuss about it but the boys? He would be dead, laughed and mocked at. But (Y/N) was sick and in pain, and he wanted to do something good and kind once in his life.
“I may… know one. But you wouldn’t understand it.” He confessed, fiddling with his fingers to soothe his own anxiety.
“I don’t care. I just want something else to listen to other than the snorting and nature.” She complained, her back facing him. At least she was not looking at him.
“Erm okay.”
It was embarrassing, very embarrassing. He wanted to dig a hole and lay there. Felix gathered his thoughts, trying to find how the lullaby sounded. It felt like someone was singing it to him, a woman’s voice. His mother perhaps? It was not the time to think about the past, but luckily the lyrics went back to him.
“À la claire fontaine
M'en allant promener
J'ai trouvé l'eau si belle
Que je m'y suis baignée
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai
Sous les feuilles d'un chêne
Je me suis fait sécher
Sur la plus haute branche
Un rossignol chantait
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai
Chante, rossignol, chante
Toi qui as le cœur gai
Tu as le cœur à rire
Moi, je l'ai à pleurer
Il y a longtemps que je t'aime jamais je ne t'oublierai”
His voice was gruff and wobbly as he sang the lullaby. It was hard to speak his native language with someone who couldn’t understand him and it had been a while since he had spoken it. His accent was non-existent, so that was good, he thought. He hoped she was fast asleep, he couldn’t see it. (Y/N) had made no comments so he stopped mid-song, his voice hoarse and dry. Felix was at least relieved she was asleep, singing had been a nightmare, he even wondered why it was not raining yet.
Standing close to her form, he smiled when he realized she was indeed asleep. Now, he was free to go and guard the camp. As he left the tent, he considered singing to her a little more. Maybe even make a place for her in his cold and steel heart.

Forget-Me-Not
Author note: Hope you guys will like this new story! :3 This will have a second part as well
Summary: As a member of Hook's pirate crew, you have to obey your captain. Even if he plans on using the new found crush of a blond haired lost one on you in order to get secrets...
Tumblr media
How have you gotten yourself in this situation?
Freshly debarked on Neverland, you had been wandering on the shore as the crew was doing activities you were forbidden to. You didn’t mind: you didn’t enjoy cleaning the whole ship and hanging out with them. Being the only girl on the ship was… interesting in a way. You had been saved from the streets by the fearsome pirate captain Hook when you had tried to steal from him: he seemed to have admired your wits and your audacity but you knew you lived on a razor’s edge. The pirates didn’t hide their harsh feelings toward you and you had to look behind your shoulder most of the time. Good thing you were authorized to sleep in the same room as Hook.
So, you had been walking on the shore when you decided to explore the woods next to it. It was a bad idea, you knew that, but you were a curious girl: adventure was calling and you would respond to that call. At least, you had a gun with you and a sword that you knew how to use. It took you some time to master the art of fighting but you knew you had to learn it in order to survive. Walking in the woods, you came across some strange looking flowers. Kneeling down, you were mesmerized by how they looked and smelled: like a rose and lilac combined, with beautiful pastel colours. You unconsciously reached for them when someone roughly pushed you to the side.
“What’s wrong with you Jonas?! You know those flowers are-” The person spoke furiously and quickly before they marked a pause as you stood, brandishing your gun to them. “You’re not Jonas.”
“Do I look like a man?” You growled, making sure your gun was ready to fire.
“I don’t know, you tell me.” The person laughed as they raised their arms but they clearly were armed. “You can lower the gun, missy.”
It was a boy or a man, at least, he was stuck between those ages. He looked young but old at the same time, wearing different coats and clothes of dark colors and what strikes you most was the scar on his face, he definitely stood out from the crowd. His eyes were grey or steel blue, it was hard to see but they sparkled with some kind of curiosity when he looked at you, as if he hadn’t seen a woman for ages.
“You’re not from Neverland, how did you come here?” He asked as he tilted his head, his eyes looking you up and down. He seemed to analyze you and you didn’t like that.
“I won’t tell you.”
“Judging by how you are behaving yourself, I would say you are from Hook’s crew.” Your face decomposed when he said that, and he chuckled when he realized he was right. “Also, you dress like a pirate. I didn’t know Hook accepted girls.”
“It’s temporary- why am I even talking to you?” You mumbled under your breath but didn’t hide the gun away. You still didn’t know if you could trust him, he looked like a threat.
“Can you put the gun away? I won’t harm you, lost boy’s promise.”
“What’s a lost boy?” You had heard Hook talking about it in a hushed tone with Smee once but they stopped when you walked in. You decided to trust whoever that boy was and put the gun back to its holster.
“Hook didn’t tell you?” He sounded surprised as he approached you but stopped when you kept your distance with him. He then smiled. “Maybe I should introduce myself: Felix.” He gave you his hand to shake that you reluctantly took. You still didn’t trust him fully.
“(Y/N). I didn’t know people lived here.” You continued as you looked around, your eyes fixating on the strange looking flowers you still wished to touch.
“The lost boys do, which I am part of. It’s strange that the captain didn’t mention that to you, are you certain he cares about you that much? I mean, if I was him, I wouldn’t let you wander in those parts on your own…”
“I can handle myself, thank you very much!” You turned and decided to leave, this boy infuriated you. As you walked back to the shore, you heard him laughing and running after you, so you made sure to walk faster.
What was wrong with him? Why was he following you? You sighed, very exasperated and stopped when the ship was in your line of sight. While you disliked the boy, he didn’t seem to wish harm upon you and you would hate yourself if the pirates caught him talking to you. Usually the pirates would intervene when you spoke to someone, woman or man, child or old. They just didn’t want you to spill some secrets.
“It’s better if you stop following me, or they will throw you in a cell.” You warned Felix who just laughed again. “What’s funny, shitface?”
“You could do better with your insults, you know? And, I was send to speak to the captain anyway, with fucking Jonas who disappears all the time.” He seemed pretty angry about his friend who didn’t show up but you let him walk you back to the Jolly Roger.
As you stepped closer, you heard the familiar chatting of the crew which stopped when you climbed aboard with the lost boy. The atmosphere became tense instantly and you froze when you saw the crew approaching you with weapons, probably to fight Felix. Was it strange you wanted to stay at his side to protect him if anything happened?
Hook suddenly appeared, parting through the men, and he stepped furiously toward you. You gulped nervously, your body shaking a little. He knew you were afraid and frightened by him and what he could do. His piercing eyes went to Felix then to you, you made sure to avoid his judgemental gaze as he walked closer. The lost boy was not reacting, instead, he was watching.
“I told you to not go into the woods and you disobeyed me. Then, you bring that thing aboard.” The captain scolded as he pointed to your odd companion. “You know what will happen if you disobey me.”
“I-I didn’t mean to!” You whimpered, knowing damn well what Hook meant.
“I am here because of Pan. He sent me to you.” Felix chimed in, and you glanced at him. He had a smug expression on his face, unafraid of being alone amongst men who clearly wished to kill him. “I just happened to save your little soldier from a rosekiller. You should warn her about the dangers of Neverland, Hook.”
“Oh shut up. (Y/N), room, now.” The captain grasped your arm and yanked you into the direction of his quarters. You scrambled to get there as fast as possible, not enjoying humiliation in front of the crew.
Some hours had passed since that accident. You wondered if Felix was still alive, but you had heard no sounds of battle and killings. Laying on your bed, you played with your dagger, twirling it. The night had come, you didn’t have any dinner. Usually you would eat with the captain but maybe he wanted to punish you as well? It was not your fault if Felix came on the ship. If anything, he should punish Felix if it was possible.
The door swung open, startling you. The dagger fell on the bed and you quickly hid it under your pillows. You observed the captain as he strode in with the cook, who put several cooking pots on the wooden table. One thing that was good when you shared a room with a pirate captain was the food. When you were with the crew, the common men, you didn’t have a choice and ate whatever the cook did, which was stew or soup. Hook enjoyed grand and exquisite meals so your belly was often full. But, when you misbehaved, the pirate would not allow you at the table and you had to suffer watching him eat.
When the cook left, Hook beckoned you over. You strutted over and sat next to him as he filled your place generously. You thanked him and waited until he had started to eat to do the same. Even if Hook was a pirate, he seemed to enjoy the etiquette as he called it. He had taught you about it, like which cutlery to use when you ate a salad. Once, you chose to cut the salad and he stabbed your hand with his fork. Now, you had a scar to tell the silly story.
Hook was unusually silent, but it was not the silent treatment he gave you when you messed up. You also realised he was looking at you from time to time, which made you uneasy. Wondering what you had done wrong, you decided to be on your best behavior and to apply this whatever etiquette the pirate liked so much. When you finished your plate, you realised he was still staring at you.
“Did I do something wrong?” You asked slowly, eying his reaction.
“No. Tell me, is it true Felix saved you from the rosekiller?” He didn’t waste any moments to ask this question. You nodded, indicating it was the truth. The pirate captain hummed and leant back into his comfortable seat. You looked at him again, wondering what he was thinking about. “Interesting…”
“I didn’t mean to bring Felix back, he just followed me.”
“I know, I know. See, I know how Felix is, and he is not some sweet blond haired angel. He would have let one of my men die. He is a smart thing, he must have known from the beginning you were part of the crew.” It was logical, but why did he save you then? “I think he has a crush on you.”
“What?! Of course not!” You yelled, scandalized. Hook looked unimpressed at your outburst. “How can you fall for someone you had just seen?!”
“Some does. Just… He is sweets on you, I can see that. And we can use this to our advantage.” Hook stood up and put his hands on your shoulders. “Think about it: we steal Neverland’s magic, we defeat Pan… We can have all the riches in the world. Don’t you want that?”
“I don’t know what I want. I just… want to survive.” You admitted, not liking Hook’s idea. You didn’t want to play that game.
“What about living your life? Without the surviving part? When we get the magic, we will be able to steal everything we wish. Imagine this: you, in a castle, not having to work a single day of your life, not having to look behind your shoulder, not having to be afraid…” He whispered in your ears. It was tempting, and he knew it. You sighed, defeated.
“Okay, Ill walk.”
“Good girl.” He rubbed your shoulders roughly which made you wince. “Go to bed now.”
A few days had passed since that discussion. Hook made sure you were prepared to manipulate Felix, who you learnt was Peter Pan’s second in command. So, he was a very important person, as he knew most of the secrets. You still disliked the idea of manipulating the lost boy: he had done no harm to you. He had just helped you. But, when you thought about what could happen after… You just wanted a comfortable life, you deserved it after spending so many years on the streets, stealing, sometimes killing, fighting… It was your reward.
Hook had sent you wandering in the woods again, in the hope of meeting Felix. You walked around, being careful about not touching any flowers that appealed to you. Sighing, you sat down on a boulder, observing the ladybugs, butterflies and other insects flying around. The pirates on the ship had spoken to you about the island after they saw you with Felix, the tales weren’t happy ones: fearsome beasts, dreamshade and other poisonous flowers, the deathly lost boys with a devil for a king and a fairy without wings that lurked around. They were dark tales and yet, from where you were sitting, Neverland seemed beautiful and majestic. Your views on the island were much more different from them.
“You look bored.”
The voice had startled you and you turned, a hand on your sword, to see who was speaking to you. To your luck, it was Felix. You gave him a smile and climbed down. You walked up to him, trying to act cool and collected. You felt disgusted with yourself for doing that, but you needed it. You needed that life you dreamt for so long.
“I am bored. Hook kicked me out for some time. He said I was annoying him.” That was not entirely false. The captain would often send you away and would then blame you for running off when you came back.
“He doesn’t seem very caring about you.” Felix hummed and swung his wooden club over his shoulder.
“He isn’t.” You replied with a snort. “If anything, he would sell me for a good price if I annoyed him too much. He wouldn’t mind.”
Felix looked shocked to hear this, again, it was the truth. You didn’t want to play the damsel in distress though… Your life sounded miserable when you spoke about it. Deciding to lead the conversation on another subject, you asked him how he found you. He replied with a smirk and whistled. A dark shadow flew above both of you, which started you and you tripped as you tried to take cover. That thing stared at you with hollow eyes then looked at Felix, as if it was waiting orders.
“Don’t worry, the Shadow won’t hurt you. Unless I told him so.” The blond said as the thing disappeared again. He helped you stand up. “I am supposed to tour the island for a bit, would you like to join me?”
“Sure, I don’t have anything to do anyway. And being stuck in a ship isn't good for walking.” You decided, following after him. He was walking very fast, you noticed. “How long have you been in Neverland?”
“I don’t really remember. Some centuries I guess?” He hummed before sliding down a path and watched you do the same, perhaps to catch you if you fell.
“Centuries?!” You exclaimed, taken aback by his reply. Felix didn’t look like a very old man, he rather looked like a young man. But that could explain how his eyes seemed old but the rest of his body didn’t. You wondered how that was possible to remain young like him. “How is this possible?”
“Neverland keeps us young. We don’t age.” He smiled, amused by your interest. “Well, it is Pan’s magic.”
Felix then talked about his daily life on the island. You listened to him while you explored Neverland with him. You were amazed by some of his stories, but you really doubted his capability of fighting a mountain lion on his own. Was he telling those stories to impress you? No one had ever tried to woo you, and you didn’t try to do so. Anyway, time truly seemed to stop when you were with him. You were back on the beach as the sun was setting, hearing another story. Watching him, you realized he was everything you wanted to be.
You envied how Felix and the lost boys were free. Neverland was beautiful, full of resources and exploration. From what Felix had told you, there were no girls amongst the lost boys, the reason was they never followed the music of Pan’s flute. You laughed when the blond said that, and he asked you why you thought this was funny.
“Oh Felix, if I had heard a flute, I would have stayed home too. I mean… Being on the streets taught me that I shouldn’t go to a place with too many boys.” You said with a sad chuckle, staring off at the ocean.
“I am sorry, I didn’t… You don’t talk about your life before Hook that much.” Felix told you in a soft tone. He seemed to know it was a difficult and rather traumatic thing to do.
“We have known each other for a few days, it is not a conversation I have upon meeting someone.”
“I know, sorry.” He apologized again.
The pirates had also told you all sorts of things about Felix. You didn’t know if it was to frighten you or to make you forget he was kind and nice to you so that you could act upon the plan just like Hook wanted. They talked about how intimidating he was, how carefree and a beast he was in a fight, and that once, he ripped a pirate’s heart and crushed it under his boot like it was nothing. But he didn’t strike you as such a monster. Or maybe he was like that because he indeed was sweet on you?
Still, you wished to know how he truly was. Was it that monster? Felix noticed how quiet you were and asked what you were thinking about. You kept your mouth shut and wondered if you should indeed ask him if he was terrible in a battle. Maybe he will be able to tell you the truth?
“I… I wanted to ask you this: is it true that… that you ripped a heart from a pirate’s chest and crushed it?” You asked with a nervous tone, fiddling with the hems of your sleeve’s shirts. What if Felix found out you were using him for secrets and killed you the same way? This thought was haunting you.
“Who told you that?” Taking a glimpse at him, you realised how dark his eyes were. As if a storm had appeared suddenly after days and weeks of good and sunny weather.
“The crew. They like to gossip. Unfortunately.” You stuttered out under his gaze.
“It’s true.” He then said with a shrug and a smirk grew on his lips as he went closer to you. “Afraid of me now, little pirate?”
“Of course not!” You jokingly pushed him away from you. “Thank you for being honest with me. I mean… No one is truly good or evil.”
“You’re right about that. I mean, look at Hook.” He chortled and you laughed with him.
“True. He saved me from the streets but he treats me like shit.”
“Perhaps you should head back. The night is coming. I wouldn’t want you hurt.” He noticed as the sky was slowly filled with stars.
“I am sure with you I am not risking anything.” You softly said as you stood up and started to walk toward the ship. Felix was not following you, but stood as you left. “I will see you later.”
“Do you still want to see me?” He asked with a snort. Why was he acting like that? Or… Or was he flirting? It was so hard to tell. But, deep down, you still wanted to be with him. if you could have spent the night and the day after… You would have been utterly happy.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?” You smiled at him then heard someone yelling your name. You groaned and started to run on the sand, which was pretty hard to do.
When you stepped on the ship, you were welcomed with a bunch of laughing and drunk pirates. Rolling your eyes, you knew they would mess with you about your apparent love story with the lost boy. Well… It was not really a love story, was it? The crew was rather rowdy tonight, you disliked when they were like this. You couldn’t sleep, your ears were bleeding from their bad singing and they would call you names, treating you like a servant or a maid.
That night seemed not different and Hook had joined them as well. You shuddered as he approached you and clapped your back many times very roughly. You tried to make it stop as he blocked you from escaping his grasp. Searching for Smee, your potential savior, you saw him half asleep and half drinking in a corner. So much for friendship. You groaned when Hook started a speech about how you will be able to save them from Pan, how you would steal his magic. You tried to escape his grasp but it was near impossible. The crew cheered at each sentence of their captain and you thought you would go deaf after that.
Finally, after forcing you to drink a bottle of rum, you were able to escape and to go to sleep. You closed the door behind you and wondered if you should lock it. The key had disappeared so it meant Hook had it with him. Swiftly, you locked it and sighed in relief. You hated the taste of alcohol, he knew it, why did he make you drink? It was probably another punishment for something you must have done or not done.
You reached your area of the room and drew the curtains that separated your space from Hook’s. Ultimately, you changed clothes, cleaned yourself a little and drank water before tucking yourself in your bed. Your hands found the dagger under the pillow but also the stuffed animal you had since your birth was laying there, ready to be cuddled. It was one of the few things you had kept from your life before. Hook had tried to throw it several times but he had failed. He wanted you to be a grown up in a way, but he refused to see you were already grown.
The next morning, you snuck out of the room, careful to not awaken the pirates. You couldn’t handle being locked there, between four walls. You wanted to feel the wind on your face, to feel the sand between your toes and to touch the sea. Being on the ship made you a pitiful mouse but out of it, you did feel like a predator. Perhaps you could stay in Neverland? That way, you will be able to see Felix often.
As you climbed down the ship quietly, you realised how much the lost boy was occupying your mind and you started to have concerns over the plan, and more importantly, on how it will affect Felix. He had done nothing wrong to you, unlike Hook and his pirates. He was kind too, at least to you. You had never encountered someone like him. Groaning, you wondered why you were falling in love so fast, betting it was on the fact no one had ever been the way he was with you. You have to keep cool and to keep focused on the plan, then you will have all the riches in the world, have a good house and a good life. You deserved this. But you were conflicted.
You entered the forest, hoping to find the lost boy again. Perhaps this time, you could explore the jungle more? It looked dangerous, menacing and gloomy, that was maybe why you were attracted to it. It had the same feelings and vibes as the streets you grew in. It was oddly reassuring. As you stomped around the woods on your own, you wondered how Felix always managed to find you. Perhaps it was thanks to that weird and threatening being? Did that thing spy on you? You looked to the sky and sighed, reassured when you didn’t catch a glimpse of the shadow being. It was freaking you out honestly.
You came across a river that separated you from the other side, there was a dam that linked the two parts, probably built by the lost boys. Everything was strangely calm as well, which made you stop as you moved to access the makeshift bridge. The reeds were moving but there was no wind. Stepping back, you realised you had made a wrong choice coming all the way here alone. There was a reason why Felix hadn’t brought you to this area, even if you didn’t know it. It felt terribly wrong, you felt it in your guts, and your guts never were wrong.
Turning to leave, you yelped as a boy stood at your level, grinning. You fell on your back, surprised by him. He approached nonchalantly and looked down on you, still smiling. Something about him made you sick. There was something foul, you felt it. He had bright green eyes, like a king’s emerald.
“Well, hello there, stranger.” He said with a mocking voice, probably amused by your frightened self. Then, he tilted his head. “Or should I say pirate?”
You didn’t say anything and reached for your gun, but to your dismay, you had forgotten it back at the ship. You were helpless against that boy and you didn’t like that. Jumping to your feet, you attempted to walk past him but he gripped your arm roughly, you groaned and tried to wriggle out of his grip. Glancing at his face, you saw how his eyes sparkled with wrath and anger. He did not like you walking away from him apparently.
“Let go of me, you shit face!” You insulted, panicked because this boy may be smaller than you but his strength was incredibly big. He was going to break your arm and you were defenseless against him.
“Pirates aren’t welcome on my island, I thought my second in command told that to your captain. Did he send a pretty girl in, hoping that I take interest in you so you can stab me in the back?” To your defense, it was Hook’s plan, not yours. He seemed to have read your mind as a smirk grew on his face. “Oh, you are Felix’s secret.”
“Leave me!”
“No I won’t. I know what your game is now: you want to use him to hurt me. It might work, you know? I like Felix, he is loyal to a fault, reliable and incredibly violent. My type of friends.” He continued, unbothered by you trying to escape and you still couldn’t. “You are going to break his heart, love, and I can’t have you do that to him.”
“I don’t want to hurt him, I swear-” You blurted out unwillingly, your cheeks warming up in embarrassment. Finally, the boy let you go when you revealed that and he started to laugh.
“Don’t tell me you love him. Oh, you do. I wonder how Hook will take that. It is treason, isn’t it? He will make you walk the plank and die.”
“Who the fuck are you anyway?! Why do you care?!” You screamed, very alarmed.
“You aren’t very bright, I am Peter Pan and this-” He moved his arms to show the area. So, this was the fearsome Peter Pan, you had to agree with the crew, he looked beautiful but terrifying, like a rose with thorns. “Is my kingdom. I feel like I will enjoy playing with you, girl. You are such a cute thing to destroy.” He approached you so fast, you didn’t have the time to see him coming. Peter Pan grinned again and you wondered if his teeth were fangs, it clearly looked like that. “Poor Felix, about to get his heart broken.”
“I will not hurt him, I don’t want to. I am not… I am not a monster.” Like you, you wanted to add but bit your tongue. It was not the moment to die like an idiot. “I care a lot about him.”
“Speaking about your feelings with your enemy, that is a bold move.” Pan went on as he started to walk around in a circle. You felt like a mouse about to get eaten or toyed with by a cat.
“Pan! We have a problem with-” The voice stopped and you felt like you were about to faint. It was Felix. Your eyes went to the leader of the lost boys who simply turned to watch his second in command arriving. “What is going on?” He asked, and you noticed that his voice was shaking a little. He seemed nervous to see you with Pan and you were nervous as well.
“Oh nothing. I happened to stumble upon a lady in distress. I think she got a bit lost.” His voice sounded no longer threatening but was authoritarian. Is that how a friend speaks to one of his? You watched quietly and anxiously as Peter looked at you. “I didn’t know she was your secret Felix. You should have told me about her.”
“I am sorry but the occasion never… It was never the right time.” Felix explained as Peter hummed, acknowledging his reply. “She is not a threat.”
“Oh I know that, what kind of pirates could ever get to hurt us?” He mocked as he patted his second in command on the shoulder. “Have fun Felix, but you know the rules.”
In a way, you felt that this was also addressed to you. If Pan knew about the plan, then he could tell Felix and damage your relationship with him. But again, if you decided to pursue something with him, you were betraying Hook, and you will have a death threat on your back. However, if Felix knew about the plan, realizing you spent time with him on purpose, then you will both have your heart broken. You needed to know where your loyalty lies or it will kill you.
When Pan left and was out of sight, Felix quickly approached you and held you in his arms. His club fell on the ground but he didn’t seem to mind. You tensed when he touched you but melted and leant into it. Closing your eyes, you listened to his heartbeat. It was… comfortable and nice. His hands moved to your hair and he caressed you for some minutes in silence.
“I thought he was going to harm you.” He whispered and parted away from the hug. You tried not to show you were sad he pulled away and instead concentrated on the river. “I… Why did you come here?”
“I just wanted to explore the woods.” You honestly replied. It was such an innocent thing to say. “I… I hoped to run into you.”
“Pan is no… He cares about us. He doesn’t want us to have love, he says it will lead us nowhere and hurt us. You have to understand that he is a threat only to you. He could have killed you.” Felix scolded you. You felt like listening to Hook when something didn’t go his way.
“I know, I am sorry.”
“It’s okay. I just…” He gulped down nervously and you saw how red his cheeks were. “I will hate myself if something happens to you.”
“Thank you. For saving me I guess.” You wondered what Pan could have done to you if Felix hadn’t shown up. This boy… he was terrifying and that was the worst part! He really looked like a child tyrant and you felt embarrassed to be afraid of him.
“Let’s get you back to the ship. It is not safe for you here.” Felix replied as he boldly took your hand and took you away.
Hook was getting on your nerves now.
He didn’t like you getting nowhere with the lost boy. Well, to you, you were getting somewhere with him. You two had kissed many times and did even more than kissing. The pirate captain just didn’t understand, too preoccupied with his greed. The crew was also growing impatient and questioned your mere presence on the ship. It was a matter of time before getting kicked out, you knew it.
Sighing, you contemplated the landscape from the quarterdeck. You considered jumping into the ocean and drowning but you would hurt Felix, so you didn’t do it. Ugh that boy! Why did he have to occupy your mind like this? What was so nice about him that you couldn’t go through a simple plan that would work perfectly? Everything was so complicated. Life was complicated.
“Okay there missy?” Smee interrupted your train of thoughts as he approached, looking concerned. “You haven’t been yourself in a while.”
“I am fine, don’t worry about me.” You replied, attempting to reassure him. Out of all the people from the crew, you liked Smee the most. He wasn’t lewd, brutal or disgusting like them but rather… normal. “I was just thinking.”
“Ah yes, about your new life right? Can’t wait for that I bet.”
“Yeah…”
While Smee was rambling about what his life would be like after Pan’s magic was stolen, you wondered if you should just leave the ship permanently. What could stop you from running away? Felix seemed pretty open to the idea, he had told you many times he could hide you somewhere. It was tempting, and now, you were ready to do this. That way, you will escape Hook and this life you hated. What was wrong about double crossing the captain? He wasn’t a good person anyway.
“-and so, we decided to get rid of the lost boys so it can be easier for you to steal the magic. I bet Pan would be so mad he won’t see what’s coming to hit him!” Smee laughed and your face must have done something because he instantly grew worried and asked if you were feeling okay.
“Excuse me but what did you say about the lost boys?” You asked kindly, hiding behind that mask allowed you to get what you wanted with Smee, you knew it.
“We found their camp. Hook is going to distract Pan so we can attack and kill them, those filthy rascals.”
They will attack the lost boys.
They will KILL Felix.
You smiled at Smee and told him you were going to walk a bit on the beach, to get fresh air. He shrugged, told you to be careful and also to come back before the attack starts, so you can be safe on the ship. Of course, you said you would do that. When you found the right time, you slipped away from the ship and the crew’s watchful gaze (though that was the easiest part). They were too busy getting ready for the fight they didn’t see you leaving.
You had to warn Felix about what was about to happen. One day, Felix tried to teach you how to whistle and the different meanings behind them. However, you were pretty bad at it and he instead offered you a wooden whistle he had made himself. He promised he would hear it  and would come as fast as possible. Hoping he would, you waited at the boulder you both first met and decided to give it a try. You begged and prayed to any gods listening for him to come. He had to know about the attack.
Thankfully, he showed up some minutes later. You didn’t question how he got there, you had your own idea about it. Instead of greeting him, you immediately jumped in front of him and blurted out a lot of information at the same time because of the panic you felt. Felix didn’t quite understood what you meant so you had to repeat yourself several times.
“It’s the pirates, I can’t stop them but they want to attack your camp!”
“Relax, no one knows where it is, outside of us.” Felix tried to calm you down but grew worried when you shook your head.
“I don’t know how they know but they know. You have to warn them to go somewhere and to hide or…”
“Is this why Hook scheduled a meeting with Pan?” He cut you mid sentence.
His tone surprised you. You looked at Felix, and he didn’t look at you the same way he had the last days. You realised he was treating you like an enemy, a prisoner even. Your mouth opened but no sound came from it, too shocked at this brutal change of his behavior. You had no idea about this until Smee informed you. Hook will probably scream at him for that as well; he was not really allowed to talk about those plans with you apparently.
“I don’t know, maybe? He just wants him out of the way to get you all killed so it can affect Peter Pan. You have to trust me.” You took his hands in yours and hoped he would have some faith in you. “Please. You know I wouldn’t do a thing to harm you.”
“Alright. I am sorry… I didn’t want to hurt your feelings. Stay here. I won’t be long. After that… I can talk to Pan and make you stay here with us. I don’t think the pirates would be too keen on having you on board after that.”
He was right. You just had betrayed them. You felt a wave of shame and self loathing, even if the pirates had mistreated you, they had taken you in. Hook fed you, gave you clothes, some parts of the treasures he found. And you threw that away, in favor of love. You didn’t expect any of them to understand, because they won’t.
Felix had been away for what seemed like hours. You were on the boulder, it was the middle of the night and you wondered if everything was fine. You hadn’t heard anything suspicious as well and there was no smell of fire. So, you guessed the lost boys were fine, which was a relief. Then why Felix didn’t come back? Dread filled your body as you assumed the worst. Maybe Felix warned them but got injured? Maybe something else happened?
Hearing someone approaching thanks to a broken twig, your hand flew to your gun. You had the advantage of having the high ground. Felix entered the field, seeming unharmed. You sighed in relief and jumped down from the boulder. You ran to him, wanting to hug the lost boy but you stopped when you realised how… how mad and upset he looked. Something must have happened with the pirates, you were sure of it.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?” You questioned him with a concerned voice. You prayed no one had been severely injured or killed. However, the boy only glared at you and it froze you instantly.
“When did you want to tell me you were using me?”
“What?” You asked, horrified; either your secret had been revealed and Pan spilled the beans about Hook’s plan to his second in command or… or he heard it from Hook himself.
“I said, when did you want to tell me you were using me? To get Pan’s magic? To get secrets about the island?” He accused and stepped forward, making you walk backwards until your back reached a tree and you couldn’t run away anymore. “Give me one reason to not kill you right now.”
“Who- Who told you that?”
“When Pan told me, I didn’t want to believe him. I thought he was maybe jealous but when Hook revealed why you started to hang out with me… It all made sense, you damn rat.” His eyes were so full of hatred and menaces that you wanted to melt to the ground and disappear forever. “Why did you do that?”
“I am sorry but he forced me! I didn’t want to at the beginning but… but you wouldn’t even understand! But I swear I meant it when I told you I wouldn’t want to hurt you!” You attempted to explain and Felix scoffed as he turned around, leaving the field. You quickly ran after him, you couldn’t let your happiness slip through your fingers like this. It was unfair."Felix I swear I didn't think it would get that far…!" You implored the blond haired boy as you scrambled to follow him. He was walking so fast you had trouble keeping up with him. He suddenly stopped and whirled to face you. You gulped down nervously, waiting for him.
"You used me! You told me you loved me, I kissed you and you just used me!" He screamed back and you were too stunted to do something. "Pan was right all along, you're just like them: a dirty pirate who only wants gold."
"That's not true! Hook forced me to do it but I swear Felix…" You repeated and you tried to approach the lost boy. You stopped when he threatened you with his wooden club. Tears started to roll down your cheeks from being tired, angry at yourself and sad you were losing him. “Please don’t leave me.” You whispered, your legs shaking, frightened about what was going to happen.
“Go back to your ship, Hook is waiting for you. And if I ever see you again, you won’t be breathing.” He stated menacingly. You let out a sob as he turned again and left.
Once you were truly alone and finished your crying, you picked yourself up and dragged you back to the beach. You were certain all of this was a set up from Pan, perhaps amused to see you suffer or to block Felix from being truly happy. But that didn’t matter anymore. You wrapped your arms around yourself, a futile attempt to reassure you from all that happened. You hadn’t expected that much pain from losing someone.
Climbing back on the ship’s board, you realised no one was here. The crew must be sleeping, but there was no guard which was odd. Maybe Hook had a truce going on with the lost ones? This was a possibility. You walked toward the quarter you shared with the pirate captain and you softly opened the door, finding at first empty. As you locked, you heard someone turning on the oil lamp. Sighing, you turned to face Hook. After losing Felix, you were ready for anything now.
He was leaning on his chair, staring at his shiny hook. You timidly took a few steps but stopped, stressed and scared. Finally noticing your arrival, his eyes met yours and he nodded toward the table. He wanted you to have a seat with him, how bizarre. You sat down and avoided his gaze, feeling like a kid who had been caught stealing.
“I am extremely disappointed in you.” He started, his voice neutral. “I thought we were on good terms together. I let you live with us freely. You don’t have to do all the hard work unlike the crew and you eat at my table. I ask you to do one simple task: get secrets and manipulate Pan’s second in command. And what do you do? You run off to him, spilling about another part of the plan.”
“I am sorry-”
“Shut your mouth.” He insulted, and you did so. You felt so little. “I should kill you. That’s betrayal. But you are young, inexperienced and down right miserable. I would say you have been taught a lesson however…” Your eyes met his and your face drained from its color when you saw this sparkle of mischief they held. "You have to be punished." He announced as he approached you and you knew what it meant by “being punished”.
"No, Hook, don't!" You protested as he dragged you toward a trapdoor on his room's floor. You squirmed and even bit him to get away but you couldn't. He opened the trapdoor with a sad sigh and threw you in.
“On our next stopover, I will find you a nice gentleman.” You heard him as you were paralyzed, too stressed to gain control of your body. “I’ll sell you off, get some money and you will have a happy ending like you always were meant to get.” He finished with a mocking voice as you heard him lifting something heavy. “Until then, behave.”
It was dark, cold and cramped. Your breathing began to be irregular and you pounded at the trapdoor, sobbing and shaking, begging the pirate to free you. Hook knew how you hated the dark, how and why you feared it. You heard him putting something heavy, like a carpet, above the entrance. Then, the door from the quarters slammed and you found yourself alone, in the darkness.
You don’t know how long you spent in the cold darkness. Your fingers were bloody from scratching the wooden doors, you felt weak and frail, like you were constantly about to faint. Your lips were dry from not being able to drink water. If anything, Hook was not trying to punish you but to kill you. Perhaps this was a fitting end. You never could have nice things before, why should you have here? If only you did as you were told… But, you met Felix, and you couldn’t even hate him for leaving you. You understood his anger. You just hoped he was doing okay.
Curling into the corner, you attempted to warm yourself up but you failed miserably. Since the trapdoor was so close to the water level, you felt the humidity from it, which was going to make you ill or it already did. You were sneezing and coughing from time to time but you always checked your body temperature, you didn’t appear to have a fever or even a sickness. Maybe it was the mold and the seaweed?
What was also strange was the lack of sounds. It felt like the crew left and decided to leave you to die. Why didn’t Hook execute you? It would have been easier instead of letting you rot away. You would have preferred it anyway. You were dozing off when you heard someone knock down the door. You knew that sound: yourself had used it to break into houses in order to steal. Weakly, you lifted yourself and tried to be silent, to make sure what you heard was not some kind of hallucination.
You almost started to cry when you heard footsteps. Someone was definitely upstairs, going through the room. Who was it? A lost boy? A crew’s member? Smee? Someone you didn’t know? You hoped they were friendly and willing to open the trapdoor. If not, you could promise them the captain’s secret treasure, you knew where it was, unlike the crew. You started to hit on the wooden door again, wincing as you did so. Your knuckles and fingers were bloody and injured but you didn’t have a choice: it was your chance to escape. The person seemed to notice some kind of noises as you attempted to knock on the door with full force and strength. You could hear them approaching the carpet that must muffle the sounds.
"Is someone down there?"
It was Felix. Your eyes shot up with excitement and relief and you started to trash against the door again. You needed him to open it, to free you. You didn’t know if he was willing to, however. But you had to try. You needed to get out or you will die.
"Please Felix, I need you to help me!"
"Wait… (Y/N)? Shit! What are you doing there?!"
"Please open me, please!" Your fists were getting tired against the hardwood but you pushed yourself to make more and more noises. You didn’t want to spend one more second down there.
Waiting some minutes, you wondered if Felix left you. It didn’t seem right, he sounded worried. He seemed to be searching for something to open the trapdoor, since Hook must have taken the lock’s key. You almost fainted when the door opened and strong arms pulled you out. Letting yourself fall, you stumbled upon Felix who held you tightly. It felt nice, it felt reassuring and comforting. You were hungry, thirsty and dizzy, but you tried to stand up and walk. However, after being locked for three days at least, you were extremely weak.
"Tell me you had some water at least?" Felix asked in a serious and concerned tone.
"No…" You croaked out, looking around for a water pitcher. Hook wasn't known for his love of water but he often kept one for you in his quarters, since you slept there with him. "There it is."
Felix sat you down gently on your much smaller and simpler bed than Hook's across the room and got a glass that he immediately filled to the brim. He strode back to you and put the cup to your lips, forcing you to drink all of it. Some spilled out, but you didn’t care: it felt so good, like you had reached an untouched paradise.
"Why did you lock you up? Is it… Is it because of me?"
"Amongst other things, yes. I think he is growing tired of having me around." You sighed, knowing your fate will not be a good one. You knew that day would eventually come, the pirate captain never hid to tell you he will not hesitate to sell you off to some man to get married. You shuddered and started to cry again at the mere thought of it.
"It's going to be okay." Felix tried to reassure you awkwardly, but he had failed to do so. You  were shaking from crying so much and he draped an arm over your shoulder to bring you closer to him. "I promise."
"No, no, you don't understand. He will send me away, he always told me so."
"I won't let you go. I… I will hide you somewhere on the island. Not even Pan needs to know you are here." Felix continued, but it was futile: nothing escaped Pan. He could try all his might, Pan would eventually find you and kill you. "Let’s get you out of here first and I will find you a place to stay, and… and maybe I will find a magic bean, you will be able to leave."
"Why are you doing this? I thought you hated me." You sniffled miserably and tried to dry your tears.
"Let’s say I… I reconsidered all the events and came to the conclusion you are not the villain in the story. Hook is. You never meant to harm me."
"And I still don't want to." You assured him as you stood up on wobbly legs. You didn’t have a lot of personal belongings, except for some pieces of jewelry that your mother had gifted you before dying and some coming from Hook that you never wore, and some clothes. It didn't take too long to get your bag ready, which the lost boy insisted on taking.
There was no sign of the crew as you both left the empty ship and you grew concerned. Did they wait for Felix to come and rescue you? Was it a trap? You flinched when Felix touched your shoulder, perhaps to reassure you. He also looked worried but more for you. You understood: you must look and smell like hell after spending some days without water, food and other basic needs that you couldn’t do or have.
The sun was about to set, you noticed. Maybe it was the easiest to move at night on the island? When you stared at Felix, you also wondered why he came to the Jolly Roger in the first place. Did Pan send him to? Or did he go on his own? Perhaps to look for you? Your heart swelt at the thought but you doubted it was that reason. When you left him (or rather he left you), he was hysterical and furious. As you both walked down a muddy path, you decided to ask him the question.
“Truth to be told… I was worried about you.” He explained, studying the environment before helping you out. He lifted you down to another path, less recognizable. Felix seemed to know where he was going, so you didn’t bother to fret about that secret location you were both headed to. “Listen I… I was furious when I learnt that plan, Hook’s plan. I wasn’t thinking straight, I was really hurt you apparently tried to use me. But then… I thought that someone who didn’t care about me wouldn’t betray a treacherous and vicious pirate crew.” He finished and shyly smiled at you. You could have fainted listening to him: he was forgiving you! “Now, the most important thing is to get you somewhere safe.”
“Where are we going?” You finally asked, concentrating on following him through thick bushes. Your boots were getting dirty from all the mud and water, you were in a kind of swamp. You panicked when you saw bright yellow eyes blinking and glittering at you. You quickly ran to Felix and held his hand, seeking comfort and protection. You were too weak to fight, and you didn’t know where your gun and sword were.
“A place where Hook and Pan wouldn’t think of finding you. Well, Pan could find you out but I plan on smuggling you out as fast as possible.”
“Will you come with me?”
He didn’t reply and you decided not to push the question further. You understood if Felix wanted to stay: his whole life was in Neverland. He was the second in command, he had to care about the other lost boys as well. He couldn’t leave all that for you. After all, it was indeed your fault if you were in that mess.
Finally, you reached your destination: it was a cave hidden deep inside the swamp. Felix informed you Peter hated this part of the island, so he will hesitate to come snooping around. You were a bit surprised to see furniture such as a bed, cabinet and table already there.
“It was an old hideout before Pan forbade us to come here.” He quickly explained when he saw you look around. “It’s dusty but… Better than a trapdoor, am I right?”
“Yeah, anything is better than that.” You agreed and walked over to the bed.
The second in command laid something on the bed and you realized he had stolen some things from Hook’s quarters. Actually, it was your blanket, so the pirate won’t be that mad. But he will certainly be astonished to see the trapdoor opened with no sign of your person in it. Perhaps Felix had an idea on how to escape the island? You wanted to ask him if he had a magic bean but you refrained from doing so. You were exhausted from being imprisoned and from walking. You laid down on the bed and tried to get comfortable.
“I am going to get you some supplies from another hideout not far away. I won’t be too long. Try to sleep.” Felix softly whispered and kissed your forehead.
“Thank you.”
When you awoke, Felix was nowhere to be seen. There were several new objects and a basket full of food and a pitcher. Your stomach growled and you leaped to your feet, almost rushing to the table. You were so hungry and absolutely starved, your hands greedily went through the basket. Felix seemed to have the time to prepare some sandwiches that you devoured without a second thought. It felt insanely good to eat. For you, this was better than the food you would eat with Hook at his table. You wondered if he knew where you went or if he didn’t care. Probably the latter, you thought. If he was willing to sell you off then he didn’t care that much about your person.
Bored, you walked toward the entrance of the cave. You didn’t have the time or the energy to observe your surroundings when you arrived. Your nose scrunched up when you got a scent from the swamps: it was disgusting and you gagged at the odor. That may be one of the reasons Pan hated this place and you completely agreed with him. It was inhumane. At least the yellow eyes were gone or so you believed. You had seen such eyes in books about nature and animals, perhaps alligators lived there. You smiled, thinking about the odd story the captain told you once at night: a crocodile apparently took his hand and now he was wearing a hook to use it. You wondered if those animals could talk so you could ask them to eat him.
Something moved in the swamp which made you hide further in the cave’s shadows. You didn’t have any weapons on you so it was best to keep a low profile. Next time, you would ask Felix to get you some. You couldn’t stand being without one, you felt naked. You instantly smiled when you saw a familiar head with blond locks advancing toward the cave. Still, you stayed well hidden before jumping in to hug him.
“Thank you for the food, I greatly appreciated that.” You told him between kisses.
“We have no time to waste. I fear Pan must know something.” He replied, sounding almost desperate and frightened. “I may know a way to keep you safe but… There is a price to pay.”
“You are scaring me Felix.”
“Listen, there is someone named Rumpletilskin, he makes magical deals with people, at unfair prices though. We could… call him. I will pay any price if that means you get to live away from here.” The second in command argued with a disaffected and trembling voice. He didn’t seem to trust that person as well, which did scare you a little.
“But I don’t want to leave you!” You complained, you could hide in there for a long time, you wouldn’t mind. It was going to be hard but you didn’t want to leave Felix.
“I know.” He sighed and closed his eyes. It was also hard for him, you could tell that. “But it’s the only way to secure your safety.”
“You should come with me. We could live together.” You tried to insist but you found yourself disappointed when he shook his head again.
“I can’t. I have responsibilities here, the boys… Even if they annoy the fuck out of me, I can’t just live them there, you know? I promise I will do anything to find you after.” He sputtered, you felt being the second choice for him but you somewhat understood what the issue is: he had known the lost boys for all his life (centuries as he told you) and you both have known each other for what? Some weeks? It was unfair for him to just leave everything for a girl he barely knew.
“Okay.” You agreed, defeated. He was right, this was the only issue unfortunately. “But what if Pan knows about that?”
“He won’t dearie.”
Felix’s eyes shot wide open and he pulled you behind him protectively, though you could stand your ground. You scowled upon seeing the man or rather… creature in front of you: he looked more like a crocodile or alligator, with scales and golden eyes. He seemed rather amused at your constant starring and you glanced at the lost boy who looked tense. He giggled as he approached and wandered around the cave.
“I can’t believe my eyes! The second in command of Peter Pan, calling me, to make a deal! And with a pirate, nonetheless. What for, dearie?”
“For her protection.” Felix said with a stern and serious voice. You didn’t know what else to say so you let him deal with the strange fellow. “To be away from Neverland.”
“It will cost you a great deal, my friend. And I don’t think you have something I desire unfortunately, except if you can bring me your leader’s head.” You froze at that statement, knowing he wouldn’t do it. Also, Rumpletilskin seemed very angry when he spoke of Peter Pan. Did they have a history together?
“A part of my heart, perhaps?”
“What?!” You turned to stare at Felix, shocked by his offer. What did he mean by a part of his heart?
“Tell me more.” Rumpletilskin clapped his hands together, visibly interested.
“My heart is special, pure red, extremely rare, that’s what Pan told me.” Felix replied without glancing at you. Your heart was thundering in your chest, speaking of hearts made you quite queasy. “If I give you a part of it, you will make sure she has a good life somewhere else, where she will be happy, safe and without any problems of any kind. Do we have a deal?”
“I want to see it first.” The being haggled over, but he didn’t hide his interest.
“Felix, you don’t have to do that.” You told the lost boy, squeezing his hand.
“I have to. For you.”
Rumplestiltskin appeared in front of Felix. Unlike you, he didn’t step back, he instead glared at the dealmaker. You wondered how he would be able to see Felix’s heart. How could someone do that? Will he open the lost boy here and there? It seemed very risky and unsafe. To your surprise and horror, the man didn’t do that. Instead, he stuck his hand in the chest of your lover and took out his heart. Felix moaned in pain and you let him leant against him. He looked extremely weak but tried to appear strong and unbothered by what was happening.
The dealmaker inspected the heart meticulously and methodically. It was making you sick: he was observing the heart as if it was some meat piece! It was revolting. Rumplestiltskin took his sweet time before snapping his fingers together. A piece of parchment appeared out of thin air, with a feather quill.
“We have ourselves a deal my friend.”
“Felix, I am not sure about this. Are you certain-”
“Anything to protect, I will pay any price if it means you get to live that life you ever wanted. You deserve this. Let me take care of you one more time.” He softly spoke and kissed you.
The dealmaker made a gagging sound and giggled when he realised how embarrassed you were. What a bastard. You understood why the lost boy didn’t seem to like him. Watching anxiously Felix signing the parchment, you pondered over leaving him on his own, without a part of his heart. Wouldn’t he die without it? Would it be painful?
You got your reply as the blond haired boy groaned in pain, louder than when his heart was first taken, and if you weren’t holding him, the poor lad would have fallen over to the ground. You held him and hugged him, not wanting to be separated but now you didn’t have a choice anymore. You watched as the dealmaker held a little part of the heart, a shining little thing, it looked like a ruby. It was truly beautiful.
“There lover bird, let me put that back where it belongs.” The creature talked as he roughly pushed the heart back in the chest. Felix took a big inspiration before standing up on shaking legs. Then, the dealmaker stared at you with a smirk. “You have five minutes to pack and say your goodbyes.”
At least you didn’t have to leave immediately. Rumplestiltskin whistled a tune before advancing toward the exit of the cave. When he was out of sight, you hugged and kissed Felix, thanking him a hundred times for what he had done for you. Still, you didn’t want to leave him. You wanted to drag him to a better place with you, it was unfair he had to stay here.
“I don’t want to be away from you. I will die if I don’t have you near me.” You complained as Felix packed your own bag. He had insisted on doing it.
“Don’t worry. I just hope you forget me.” He tried to joke and laughed, but stopped when he saw how sad you actually were. “Or not.” Stepping toward you, he cupped your cheek and you leant into his touch. “I will try to find a way so we can be together again. I promise.”
“Okay. I promise not to forget about you.” You smiled and kissed him. Deciding on giving him something so he could still remember you, you took off one of your necklaces and offered him the piece. It was golden, with a ring attached to it. You put it in his palm delicately.
“I have to give you something too now.” He chuckled and reached for a ring he always wore. You never asked him the story from it. “There, you can wear it around your neck too. I will get it back when we will be reunited.”
“Your time is up dearie!” Rumpletilskin announced, happy to ruin the mood. “Or do you want to get killed by Peter Pan?”
“No, I'm coming.” You said before looking at Felix for the last time. “I will see you.” You kissed him again but the dealmaker roughly yanked you with him. You both groaned at the loss of sensations and before you could blink, a strange cloud made of smoke blinded you.
Opening your eyes, you found yourself in an immense room, which you believed to be a living room of some kind or rather a dining hall. It was not lightened, except for some candelabras. Also, there were numerous art pieces on the walls. It didn’t feel like home and not something you would live in. Hearing the dealmaker giggling, you turned and realized he had been watching you the whole time. There was a sick sparkle in his eyes that made your stomach turn. Your gut was telling you to be careful and that something was wrong.
“Your friend doesn’t read, doesn’t he?”
“I don’t know, the subject was never brought up.” You replied quickly, being on the defensive.
“Good, because that fool will never ever see you again.” The crocodile man smirked and you found yourself bonded to a chair. You started to squirm but the binds went tighter and tighter. “Don’t worry dearie, it won’t be painful and it won’t take long. I just love messing with young naive lovers.”
His hand covered your face, you cringed under his skin and attempted to bite him. He didn’t pay attention to you, he instead seemed to be focused. You hoped he wouldn’t take away your sight or your eyes, he seemed to be very deranged. You gathered some bravery before trying to ask him what he was doing. However, you didn’t have any time to do so: you felt a warm and burning feeling in your eyes, after a few seconds, your head spun to the side and you fell strangely asleep.
When you awoke, you immediately jumped to your feet. You didn’t remember falling asleep at all. Worryingly, your eyes scanned the dining hall, making sure the owner of the castle was not around. Alas, he was there, swirling some wool through a spinning wheel, and to your surprise, gold came out of it. You were fascinated by the strands of gold and approached, which made the man raise his head to grin at you.
“Finally awake dearie! You should be grateful I let you nap, but the castle isn’t going to clean itself. I am expecting some guests over.” He requested, implying you had to yet again to scrub and wash.
“I had the strangest dream.” You told him as your eyes were mesmerized by the spinning. “A boy… He made a deal with you to ensure my safety. He was cute.”
“Interesting. Keep those silly dreams to yourself dearie, love… is a weakness.” The Dark One declared, now you could finally put a title on his head, your mind was extremely foggy. “Don’t forget you're here because that good for nothing pirate captain threw you out.”
“Of course. I will never betray you.” You confidently replied.
“Good. Now, run along and do your chores. I expect this castle to shine, I want to see my face on every wall or ground.”
Nodding, you decided to leave him and to indeed go back to your chores. Still, the image of that boy haunted your mind. Who was he? He felt so real… Too bad you couldn’t even remember his name, but you did remember his eyes, blue or steel gray, like a cloudy day before the storm. And he had a scar as well. As you reached the cleaning supply and started to mop one of the hallways, you couldn’t help but stupidly smile at the mere thought of seeing him again, in reality or one of your dreams.

first arrival - felix x gn!reader
Tumblr media
warnings - suggests reader has medium/long length hair. some mentions of blood, not too much tho <3
a/n - just some fluffy felix headcannons! (god this man is gorgeous)
Tumblr media
imagine.. felix being one of the only people to take some interest in you when you’re first brought onto the island.
felix having to show you around because he’s “more responsible” than the other lost boys. (peter’s just realizing felix needs bitches)
you and felix actually having a lot in common and being able to spark multiple interesting conversations, between the two of you.
you saying something positive about his scar and felix has to turn away to make sure you can’t see the blush creeping onto his cheeks.
almost tripping on a random tree root in front of you, when felix grabs your arm and pulls you near him to make sure you aren’t gonna fall.
realizing how close you two are, felix lightly shoves you away and continues marching through the tour.
felix showing you where your tent is and not realizing himself, that he’s been standing there staring, until you turn around and make eye contact with him.
he turns around and walks off to the bonfire, feeling slightly embarrassed. busy’s himself with collecting wood for the fire.
approaching the bonfire and making yourself comfortable, felix will glance up at you, through the fire, every now and then.
accidentally cuts his finger with his knife, that he was sharpening, looking at you. felix not minding the deep-ish cut too much, but pan insisting that he get it cleaned, at least.
“coincidentally” you being one of the few that know how to properly examine and cleanse a wound. felix remembering that fact, and cautiously walks over to you.
he stands in front of you just holding out his finger for you to see, not entirely sure of how to ask for your assistance.
“uh.. earlier you mentioned, you used to be a nurse’s assistant. help me with this?”
grabbing felix’s hand to get a closer look at the cut, while making felix flush in the process. (poor baby isn’t used to all that physical contact)
“yep, that’s an easy fix,” you stand up, pulling felix along. “i have some supplies i brought, in my tent.”
you setting felix down on a little stool in your tent, while you fish out some of the medical tools you managed to bring.
felix watching you the entire time, not being able to believe such a gentle creature found it’s way onto harsh lands.
taking hold of felix’s hand again, gentler this time, you slowly wipe away the excess blood, with a rag, then begin to apply some disinfectant gel.
hair getting in your face, you attempt to brush it out of the way with your elbow, but to no use. until felix softly tucks the stray locks of hair behind your ear.
you pause for half a second, then remembering why felix is in your tent in the first place, you continue applying the gel.
finishing as you put a small bandage on it, you speak, “all done! should heal by tomorrow felix.” with a nod and a squeezing of his left hand, your off putting away your supplies.
felix sits there a moment, with a small curve of a smile on his lips, thinking to himself. ‘i don’t think i’ll mind getting hurt from now on.’

I won't say I am in love
Summary: After saving Felix, you find yourself wondering why he is suddenly ignoring after he kissed you. Thanks to Pan's odd advice, you decide to take matter in your own hands
Tumblr media
It was a usual day, birds chirping, the sun shining, boys playing dangerous and murderous games. You sighed, fanning yourself with your hands; it was hotter than usual so the boys decided to go to the beach. Of course the only one being grumpy about it was Felix. When you thought about it, the second in command never participated in those peaceful activities. He was always the first when it came to violence. He rarely joined the usual activities. It was incredible he was there, and you wondered why. Usually he would avoid big crowds.
Sitting on a rock with your trusty sword at your side, you observed the other boys playing around, splashing themselves and stupidly trying to play fight. You didn't feel comfortable taking off your clothes and being in only undergarments amongst the other older boys. Felix wasn't even in the water too: he was across from you. You thought you caught him staring at you,but it was probably a trick of mind.
You relaxed and started to lay down, feeling the warmth of the sun, which was very comfortable. You may have fallen asleep, but someone shook you out of it. You opened your eyes, confused and annoyed. You just wanted to rest and take a nap.
"What?" You groaned, when you realized it was a young lost boy, panic spread all over his face..
"Felix was taken by mermaids!" The boy shouted into your ears in such a high pitched tone that it made you flinch. One day, you would end up deaf.
"I don't see the problem: you guys told me you hated Felix." You replied with a shrug, and it was true. Boys easily opened up to you and their hatred for the second in command was something they had in common. For yourself you never really found a bond to him. He was cold, not necessarily rude, yet distant.
"Yes but… if Pan knows we did nothing to save him, he's going to literally roast us." He shuddered, and you knew it was not an empty threat. Pan could do that. "You're the best swimmer out of everyone!"
"Oh my god, okay, I will go but stop yelling!" You groaned and rose to your feet.
You only knew one cave that the mermaids actually lived in: you never went there but Pan did tell you about it. So you started there, hoping to find the second in command and to bring him home quickly. God you hated rescue missions. Everyone always turned to you to help them. But it was also the only exciting thing you could do on the island, being a girl you didn't have much choice but to do chores and play mother with the boys.
You sighed as you finally found the hole leading to the cave, and you could hear giggles from it. You wondered what the mermaids were doing to Felix, probably braiding his hair and putting flowers in it? It could be funny, you loved to see the blond haired boy embarrassed. He was always so serious, which was a contrast to Pan who was always goofy and childish.
You started to crawl into the hole, cursing as you felt your thin clothes ripping on the rocks. Even your hands started bleeding. He better repay me for this!
It was getting tighter and tighter and you wondered if it was a good idea to have come running after Felix like that. You shouldn't have done it. It was a stupid idea. But why did you immediately jump to your feet? This wasn’t like yourself, you were a very careful girl, always sketching a plan before jumping into the action.
You recalled the moments when you were alone with him, it was pretty rare. You always ended up in trouble somehow but always found your ways out of it. Also you didn't know why Pan always teamed you two up for heavy chores and missions. Perhaps he trusted you? Yeah, that was the only way you could see it.
You yelled as you suddenly fell on the hard ground, the giggling and laughing immediately stopped. You raised your head and saw a couple of mermaids circling Felix who looked pretty fine but also bored. And indeed, the mermaids made a flower and shell crown on his head.
You started laughing uncontrollably, as the mermaids stared at you in disbelief. Felix blushed in embarrassment and looked away, frowning.
"It's not funny!" He cried, trying to squirm away from those beasts.
"It is! You look so… cute!" You admitted, clutching your stomach as you struggled to breath. You could have died laughing, literally.
"I am not cute! Now kill those bitches before I skin you!"
"Is your mate always this feral?" One of them asked, while caressing the boy's cheek.
"We are not mates!" You both screamed at the same time.
"Too bad… Will you care if we drown him then eat him? We haven't had a proper meal in so much time…" Another one suggested.
"I dare you to touch him." You darkly growled, touching your pommel's sword, glaring at them. "I am pretty quick when it comes to cutting fish."
They hissed at you and pushed the blond haired boy in the water. His hands and feet were tied and you watched, panicked as he sank at the bottom of the sea. The mermaids immediately jumped into the water, quickly followed by you.
You hated fighting into the sea and your hair will take forever to dry. Everything was blurry and you could only see forms around you, circling and scratching your skin. You needed to get Felix out of here first, he wasn't a pretty good swimmer.
You saw him trying to fight against the mermaids. Taking off your dagger, you waved your hands at the bodies who were trying to kill you. Finally, you plunged your dagger into the leader's stomach and you profited from this attack to get the blond haired boy. He was panicking and already breathing water in. Stupid boy.
You brought him as fast as you could to the surface and you realized all the boys were gone. You rolled your eyes at that. You pulled the second in command to you as you walked on the beach, but with his heavy weight, you fell again with a groan.
"Untie me!"
"Oh wow, no "thank you for saving me"?" You smirked as you cut the ropes with your sword. "You owe me a dagger Felix-"
He caught you off guard. But once you realized Felix was kissing you,It instantly warmed you.your heart exploded and your stomach unleashed a million butterflies. Your hands flew to the boy's hair, trying to return the kiss fiercely, but he was just too fast. You almost whined when the blond haired boy suddenly parted away, glancing at you with a dumb look. His cheeks were red too.
"I… I am sorry. I don't know what I am doing." He stuttered before leaving you on the beach alone.
The following days, you desperately tried to get Felix's attention, but he didn't give it to you. In fact, he was avoiding you, you were very certain about it: the way his eyes never wandered to your person, even when you were right in front of him! This was so absurd, you just wanted to talk with him about what happened at the hidden beach, after you saved him. You were in your right to do so. You expected explanations and he wasn't giving them.
After another failed attempt, you decided to let some steam off by shooting apples and other mannequins with your bow. At least, you were training, but everything came back to Felix and his stupid cute face. You groaned again, when your arrow flew past a mannequin's head.
"That was pretty awful. Your aim is terrible."
You turned your head and gave a quick greeting nod to Peter Pan as he suddenly appeared from the shadows. You wondered if he knew about the whole situation: he had eyes and ears everywhere on the island. After all, he was the king. Your assumption was correct when Peter started to ask questions about what was going on with Felix. So, you started to tell him everything that had happened after you went to save Felix.
"He kissed me and now he is pretending not to know me!" You explained to Pan angrily, and hitched an arrow on your bow, quickly shooting it in the head of the mannequin. But it didn't bring any satisfaction. "He is always like that!"
"That's Felix, you can't change him."
"That's the problem…"
"Did you like it? The kiss I mean?" Peter asked with a smirk, and you groaned in annoyance, hating his curious side.
"Yes, I liked it a lot." You confessed, feeling your cheeks heating up at the mere mention of it. You were also embarrassed about speaking it openly with the leader of the lost boys.
"You know… everyone can tell you like him. And I mean, I do know that he loves you." He sang, appearing at your side and jokingly smacking your cheek. "Do you want me to sing the song?"
"No! Just… tell me how to… I don't even know what Felix likes!"
"You obviously. Oh and fighting."
"You are not helping." You sighed in frustration and groaned when your arrow didn't hit the target a second time. You just needed Felix to be vulnerable in order to reveal what he truly felt for you. He could just have kissed you because he was happy from not being eaten by mermaids.
At first glance, Felix looked like a boring person. He always was doing the same chores and things over and over again. You knew his routes by heart, you had accompanied him more than once on his walks. But then, when you actually tried to see past his grumpy and asshole like personality, he could be quite pleasant.
You had seen interacting with Pan many times, and sometimes he was happy. He even smiled, which was a rare sight. You needed him to trust you. But you didn’t want to wait for all eternity, you wanted to know right now what he felt for you. Thinking about this, your mind started to form a plan: you could lay a trap, a nest or something, trap him when he is walking during his island tour and won't let him go until he reveals something useful. You didn’t like that usually, but you also didn’t like that he kissed you and pretended it didn't happen. It infuriated you.
So you did what the little voice inside your head murmured: you laid the trap and waited for the sun to rise to see if Felix was going to fall. And he did pretty well.
There was Pan's second in command, raging against net traps. It was awfully ridiculous to watch him struggle against the net. Your giggling made your presence revealed and soon, the blond haired boy started to throw insults at you, demanding to let him go.
"No, I don't think so." You winked at him with a giggle. "You look quite funny up there."
"I will make you pay for this!" He growled, trying to reach for his dagger. You froze when you realized he may have it with him, but by sheer luck, the dumbass forgot it at camp. "Pan is going to scalp you." He threatened, his eyes making holes into your body.
"Actually, I believe he would think it was quite hilarious and will let me go." You approached him and crossed your arms. "Why are you pretending I don't exist?"
"What are you speaking about, woman?" He groaned and tried to tear the net appart.
"I am speaking about the fact I saved your ass from the mermaids, that YOU kissed me and then you left me, and pretended I didn't exist. How do you think I feel about that?"
"I acted upon the moment-"
"Right and you would have kissed a lost boy, right?"
That shut him up. He kept glaring at you, but there was no hate in his gaze. You both stayed silent for a very long time and you started to wonder if you didn't make everything up. Felix could really have kissed you because he believed he was going to die after his encounter with the mermaids.
Yes, surely this was a mistake, but your feelings for him weren't something you made up. They were unfortunately very real. It seemed like it wasn't reciprocated as well. You clicked your tongue with an annoyed sigh, ready to finally let the lost boy go.
"Fine. I like you. Happy?"
You had expected sarcasm coming from him, but you were surprised: he sounded genuinely honest. He had a faint blush on his cheeks and avoided looking at you, not even battling with the trap. Your heart skipped a few beats and you felt the heat in your cheeks, you quickly looked away as well.
Fuck. You were both in love with each other. What a mess.
He could have easily lied to you. And you were already deciding on cutting the ropes so the trap could open. At this height, Felix will fall without damage and you knew he was used to it by climbing and jumping from tree to tree, just like a squirrel.
As you suspected, the blond haired boy landed on the ground just fine and didn't seem very bothered by any pain. Now, you felt like a fool, this was such a very awkward situation. You may have opened your heart to him and now… now you felt bothered by your feelings. You didn’t know what to do with them, except shoving them down and hopefully forgetting about them.
"(Y/N)."
"Let’s go back. This was stupid." You muttered, ignoring what Felix had said.
"No, wait-!" He stammered, gripping your hand softly. "I am sorry, when I kissed you I just… I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable."
"I wasn't uncomfortable, I really liked it." You revealed, still not looking at him.
"You… You did? You liked it?!" He sounded very desperate and not believing what you stated, he was still gripping your hand. "So, Peter was right?" He whispered incredulously, but you caught what he said.
"Wait what does Pan have to do with this? Did he speak to you too?!"
"He did. Many times but… I don't want to talk about Pan right now." His voice softened and he softly interlocked your hand with his with a blush on his face, but his demeanor completely changed: he looked more confident. He backed you down against a tree. "So, does that mean you like me?"
"I-... I-..." You stuttered, still trying to not look at him, but it was hard, he was very close to your face. "I do." You admitted.
Felix then smiled and leant in. Slower than at the beach, but the kiss felt great. Again, butterflies spread in your stomach and you got hungry for more. Your hand flew to his belt, bringing him instantly closer. Felix released a groan at your motion, but smirked.
"Is it okay if I touch you?" He whispered in your ear, then bit it.
"That's okay." That was even more than okay, in your opinion.
He unbuttoned your shirt quickly, and the cold way immediately brought goosebumps on your skin. He started to kiss your neck, but he was slow, too slow for your own taste. You grabbed his hand and directed near the waistband of your pants.
Felix made a surprised noise, and you wondered if he was going to stop but he didn't. He seemed to get the message. His hands were pretty hot, and he instantly warmed you, by the motion he was doing with his fingers against your underwear. You had difficulty hiding your moans, so Felix kissed you in an attempt to quiet your activities.
You forced yourself to not think about the others, right now you only needed to focus on Felix, just Felix, and no one else. This moment belonged to the two of you only. And you were away from the camp, surely they couldn't hear you.
"I believe you should both get a room… or a cave."
You both shrieked and you pushed Felix lightly, separating him from you. Your hands flew to your exposed chest, and you attempted to get yourself together, as Pan laughed, sitting on a boulder, looking down with a smirk.
"That looked like quite the fun."
"You pervert!" You yelled at him, feeling suddenly ashamed and weird. "Were you here the whole time?!"
"Maybe, maybe not. I never reveal my secrets, love." He replied, very amused by the situation. His eyes then wandered to his disheveled second in command. "I was right in guiding both of you into this. Now Felix, I believe you should calm your thing down a little, I don't want the pirates to learn what kind of activities you do with my favorite lost girl."
"I am the only girl here." You muttered as you finished buttoning your shirt.
"And, I don't want you to avoid her."
"Yes, yes, Pan I understood!" Felix groaned, his face red. "I am going to stay here for a little while."
"Then I need you to see what Hook wants, he is back and his mere presence annoys me. Find out what he wants so we can dispose of him." Pan ordered with a strict voice then turned his attention back to you with a soft smile. "Let’s go for a walk, shall we?" He suddenly appeared in front of you and touched your shoulder.
The next thing you knew, you were somewhere else. You didn’t recognise the place at all. It was at the edge of the jungle, and you could see Skull Rock in the distance, you also heard the crashing waves against the rocks, so you deduced you were on some sort of a cliff. Turning your head to look more at the landscapes, you came face to face with Pan, who looked a little displeased.
"I didn't expect you to fuck him."
"Why? Disappointed because it's not you?" You quickly replied and glared at him, not enjoying his tone.
"No, but you have to understand: I don't want my second in command hurt." Pan approached you in a threatening manner, and you backed away, toward the edge of a cliff. "Felix is my friend, and I don't want to see him heartbroken. If you break his heart, ever, I will come for you." He finished while you were close to falling to a certain death. "Do you understand?"
"Yes, yes I do!" You cried, really afraid of falling.
"Good."
He gripped you by the arms and threw you on the harsh ground, away from the edge. You took some time to be able to breathe correctly and normally again. You had the fright of your life.
Pan hummed a tune as he started to walk toward the jungle. He paused and then turned to talk to you, as if nothing had happened between the two of you. You hadn't realized he cared that much about Felix...
"Coming?"
"Yeah, yeah..." You said with a shaking breath and slowly stood up, following him through the jungle.

Peau d'Âne's daughter and the Lost Boy
This is part 1 and 2 are there :) this is the final part!!!
Summary: After (Y/N)'s sudden departure, Felix deals with loneliness and his own feelings.
Tumblr media
Liphine the Lilac Fairy, godmother of royal princesses and princes, had been staying with them since she had been freed from her prison. She was a very nice person, and Felix came to appreciate her quite a lot. She was maternal in her own way, and he enjoyed that she wasn’t pitying him like the others were doing. But, she didn’t understand a lot of the mortal’s life: she seemed intrigued on why Felix was washing the dirty dishes. He replied he needed to get them done, and since the dishwasher was broken (or Rumpletilskin had lied to him again in order to punish the lost boy with chores), someone had to do them.
"Do you want to be taught some magic? You have shown quite the ability when you touched my wand."
"You… know what happened?" Felix asked, feeling like a child who had been stealing and caught. He washed his hands quickly as he finished lining up the plates so they could dry.
"Of course. My wand is connected to me, this is why Rumpletilskin put it in this… hideous box." The fairy spoke, probably repulsed by the box which was a simple one. "First, we have to fix your posture. Head up, behave as if you were a puppet." She instructed, putting the wand underneath his chin.
“I am not very sure it will work, Liphine. I am not… great at learning.”
“Hush now, child, and listen to your elders.” The fairy instructed as she went on about the importance of pronunciation and posture in order to cast a spell.
The evening came fast, and the blond was tired. Learning was indeed laborious but thankfully, Liphine was very patient with him. He liked that about her too: just like (Y/N), she made sure he had understood everything and replied to every of his questions without questioning or deeming them as stupid.
Sometimes, the fairy would leave or disappear, stating she was searching for (Y/N). Felix didn’t believe her most of the time about this, but he didn’t want to find out what she was actually doing. He understood and knew it was hard to live in this town, and under this roof, especially with a mortal enemy.
As the evening came, Felix found himself eating alone, again, in the small kitchen. The door opened on its own, and the Dark One walked in, a lot of papers and documents in his hands. He still walked with that awful cane. The blond didn’t say anything, not afraid of him, he just didn’t feel like speaking. And he was certain that if he did, it would lead to yet another argument between the two of them.
"Any news from her?" Rumpletilskin suddenly asked, his eyes not meeting him as he was arranging his paperwork.
"No." Felix replied in a soft tone as he stood up and put his plate in the sink. "She… I don't think she wants to talk to anyone."
He thought he was done with it so he walked past the older man. He put his mug inside the dishwasher and closed it. Glancing warily at the Dark One, he sighed in relief when there was no sign that he wished to talk more about the subject.
"I don't… We shouldn't have taken you here. Our lives would have stayed the same." He muttered under his breath which made Felix’s blood boil.
"How can you say that?! You brought this upon yourself! I wasn't the one hiding secrets from her!" Felix snapped, turning around suddenly. His hands reached for a kitchen knife, a urge to kill manifesting in his body.
"Stop it you two!"
It was the first time he had heard Belle raising her voice at them. He was very astonished by that: that woman was always soft spoken and never really got angry. She looked mad as well: her hair was disheveled and her eyes glared at both of them.
"You have been arguing for the last week. No wonder (Y/N) left if she knew you were going to be that way." She groaned and Rumpletilskin rushed at her side, begging her not to go away. "I am not leaving, but this situation is already hard. Don't aggravate it please."
"Will do. Sorry." Felix apologized, figuring that having her on his side was more important than fighting with the Dark One. "Liphine is waiting for me." He told them as he moved to go outside, sensing the usual warmth of the Lilac fairy. He felt excited to learn more about magic.
"At this time? It's dark outside." Belle spoke out in a motherly tone.
"We will be in the garden. She says she wants me to learn about stars."
"Constellation magic. Good choice." Rumpletilskin nodded, understanding the terms more than Belle.
The blond haired boy enjoyed spending time with the fairy. She seemed to understand him more than everyone else in this town. She was kind and nice but she had that light in her eyes when things didn't go her way… Her magic was the most extraordinary he had ever seen. He was sure Pan couldn't rival her in any ways in this domain.
She was waiting for him as usual outside, her eyes on the sky. He approached her silently, not wanting to spook her. But she seemed to know he was there: she turned her head and smiled at him.
"Rumpletilskin is making your head spin with anger, isn't he?"
"How do you know that?"
"Magic, my dearest."
He loved her kind words to him. It changed from the harsh environment in Neverland. When he thought about it, it felt like this time was centuries ago. He suddenly started to feel… shame. Shame for forgetting so quickly about his former home, yes sometimes it was bad and harsh, but he had some kind of family there.
"Are you alright?" The question made him snap back to reality and he just nodded, affirming he was indeed okay. He didn’t want to worry her that much.
The lesson went on smoothly and Liphine seemed proud of finding a new protégé. She was radiating such grace and joy, Felix wondered if she ever felt sad in her life. She was also incredibly nonchalant, taking life as it was coming. He also wondered if she had always been this wise, but sometimes her sentences were a bit weird, and sometimes, she talked like she was singing a poem. Her words matched with each other.
Her magic was also very different from (Y/N) and Rumpletilskin, hers was clearly made for goodness. He had witnessed such terrors and horrors with Pan’s as well that he always believed only served to attack or curse someone. He helped her pack up the books she had used and pulled from thin air and went back inside. Oddly enough, Belle and Rumple weren’t present.
“They must have left somewhere.” Felix hummed, liking the fact he was not with the old man. “I have the house for myself.” He then smiled, enjoying the silence. “Where are you going tonight?” He asked the fairy after putting some books on a shelf.
“Seeing some old fairy friends. You wouldn’t like it, you are too young to understand what we speak about.” She answered, leaving some parts of mystery again in her sentences. “I must make haste and leave at once. Be a dear, and keep my wand close to you.”
“Wait what? Why?” He felt like it was a huge responsibility bestowed upon him. The wand felt light and cold in his hands and he was still very fascinated by the crystal and sparkly object. “How can she use magic without her wand?” He questioned no one, very confused on how she was able to do this.
He was now alone in the house. Felix tried to figure out how to spend those precious hours alone, in the dark. He thought about annoying Rumpletilskin by messing up not only the house but also his precious store. Did he like the store more than Belle? Maybe it was time to find out!
With a chuckle, he approached an odd bronze statue of a lion and a mouse, that he knew the Dark One loved. The lion had a crown on his head and the mouse seemed to eat a nest trap. He wondered why Rumpletliskin had this statue protected by thick glass; it didn’t seem very valuable in Felix’s eyes. He stayed there, for a few minutes, observing the statue. Perhaps it was moving or magical, and he couldn’t see it.
“You traitor!”
Suddenly, someone knocked him down, and Felix’s head hit the ground hard. He howled at the pain and tried to get his attacker off him. Sharon started to hiss at the stranger, and he guessed it was bad news. If the cat didn’t seem to appreciate someone and reacted this way, it was better to be on his guard, and the blond haired boy was more than on his guard. He pushed the opponent to his left and quickly got up, scrambling to get a weapon. Luckily, the shop was full of them, so he was able to get an old and rusty broken sword. It would do for now.
“You… You traitor, you good for nothing useless son of a bitch!”
It was Peter Pan.
He was standing there, panting, eyes burning holes into his former second in command.
His eyes held such a fury that Felix shivered instantly his hands started to shake badly but he still held his ground. Why would Peter even call him a traitor? He didn’t do anything! He was not the one snooping to the heroes about his whereabouts back on Neverland, where he failed again and again. So, he was confused and surprised to be able to see him. Last thing he remembered, he was imprisoned in some sort of magic box.
Everything hit him like a brick: Felix was supposed to help Pan out. He was supposed to break him free. That was the reason for his wrath and anger. surely, he could calm him down. It was incredible that he broke free by his own means, he was such a powerful being, and the blond haired boy felt the same energy of when he met the king of Neverland for the first time: tiny. He felt small.
“You are fucking around with his daughter!” Pan accused, stepping quickly toward his direction, kicking the cat out of his way.
“She is not his daughter! And I am not fucking her!” Felix yelled, backing off in the kitchen. How did Pan know about (Y/N)? Has he broken free earlier and spied on him? Why? “I was using her, I was trying to make a plan to help you!”
“No you didn’t. I had to do it on my own. If you want to get things down, then you have to do it yourself, as we say.” He responded and Felix felt small again, like a little boy being scolded by his father after being falsely accused of breaking a vase. “You changed Felix… or perhaps you didn’t. You were always a little shit. I am glad you shed your true colors. I have no use for you now.”
Behind him, the former lost boy heard the kettle boiling. Taking a glimpse as fast as he could, he didn’t take the time to question who had put the object on the stove. This didn’t matter now, what did was that Pan was ready to kill him, and Felix didn’t want to die now. He wanted to see (Y/N) before, and other things. The girl really had taken over his thoughts.
“I never meant to betray you Pan.” He started to move toward the stove slowly, thinking he could at least try to talk it out with the green devil. “It is so different here.”
“A good second in command wouldn’t have done that.”
“Well, sometimes, you just have to try something new. It is part of learning.” He could feel the heat of the stove on his back and he stopped, looking like a mouse in a trap.
“And growing up. You disappoint me Felix, you who had such a strong fear of becoming an adult, you smell and behave like one now.” The green eyed boy spat with such venom that Felix had trouble coming up with something else. “I should have killed you centuries ago, you ugly bastard.”
“You’re right… Ladies often took a very quick and strong liking to you. Will it be better if your face melted off?!” Felix finished as he grasped the handle of the kettle and threw the hot water at Peter’s face, before throwing the whole object at his former best friend and darting out of the kitchen as the latter howled in pain.
He tried to go upstairs, the wand still cold in his left hand. However, he barely dodged a fireball that destroyed an ancient painting which got consumed by the fire. He winced: Rumpletilskin will make him pay for that, but his anger was the last of his problems. Now, Pan was furious and enraged, and Felix knew better than anyone that he was going to be destroyed slowly if Peter got his hands on him.
Whirling around, Felix decided to use the wand and casted a spell, just like Liphine had taught him. He used his energy and his fear of dying to make a blast big enough to send Peter against the wall. Perhaps it will also weaken him. But, with the lack of practice, all it formed was a small light purple sphere that the king of Neverland stopped quite easily. The blond haired boy was out of breath, using magic when you weren’t used to it was very wearing and tiring. Unfortunately, this was the moment Pan chose to jump on him, and he accidentally let go of the wand, which fell on the carpet below.
“You know magic?! YOU?!” Peter slammed his fist right in his face, and his other hand was circling the blond’s throat, preventing him from breathing.
“They… They tried to teach me…” He made out with a gurgle, as blood started to roll from his nose, knowing it was broken. He winced as Pan snatched a handful of his blond locks, turning his face toward the stairs. He never understood why Pan didn’t like sharing his wiseness and magic, perhaps, it showed how greedy his former best friend was.
“I am going to scare you a little more, and then show your fucking face to his bitch of a daughter, she will finally see what the true Felix looks like…” Peter whispered with a sadistic smile, his tone low and dangerous. “And when I am through with you, they will not even recognise your fucking ugly self.”
He was not ready for the pain.
Peter Pan didn’t waste his time slamming Felix’s face against the wooden stairs, and he was trying to stop him by all means. After the two attempts at breaking his face, Peter stopped, he seemed euphoric, chuckling at the bloody mess he had made. The blond only closed his eyes, praying it will soon be over, but knowing him, he knew it won’t be the case. He had to endure it somehow.
“Get away from him!”
The voice startled both of the boys. Felix felt free abruptly and he had trouble supporting his head, so he laid it against his arm, on the stairs. He knew who was there now and he felt incredibly relieved. He curled on himself and tried to get his strength back, but it was hard when your face had been slammed repeatedly into the stairs. But he needed to see what was going on, so he turned his head and was amazed by the scene unfolding before his eyes.
As he expected, (Y/N) was present, and she was using her magic offensively against Peter Pan, who couldn’t dodge all of her spells and hexes. She looked infuriated and angry, and he could feel how tense she was by the way she casted and used her magic. It was wild, powerful, violent and intense. When hope seemed lost to Peter, the latter just smiled again, but this time, it was a smile for manipulation and the blond hoped (Y/N) wouldn’t fall for that.
“Relax, love, I was just teaching him a lesson.”
“I am going to teach you one: never lay a hand on him again or I will kill you, tear your limbs apart while you still are breathing and use your body parts to decorate my bedroom!” (Y/N) hissed as she used her magic to open the backdoor, the one which led directly to the store. “He’s in there!” She yelled at someone, but Felix couldn’t see who.
In less than a few minutes, Pan was stripped away from his powers. The Dark One and Liphine (who had recovered her magic wand) seemed to have accomplished something he never thought could happen. He was harmless now, and apparently, they were taking him somewhere more protected than a tiny box. It happened all so fast, it made his head spin.
The former lost boy struggled to get up, using the stair’s railing as support. He gasped and instantly coughed, feeling how bad he had been injured. His face must look horrendous. Pan had at least succeeded in that.
“Oh, Felix, I am so sorry!” (Y/N) hurried at his side, and decided to walk him to her bedroom. “I should have been there, there to protect you, but I didn’t have a good connection where I was, so I didn’t get Rumple’s text about Pan apparently breaking free and disappearing and I knew he was coming for you, and I got so worried-!” She was speaking so fast it was hard to understand, but Felix was glad somehow at least cared for him. He just nodded and tried to thank her but found it was hard for him to speak. She noticed this and immediately sat him down on her bed. “Your scar… It’s opened again. But don’t worry, I am going to heal you. I am not good but… I will do my best!”
It was painful. Less painful than getting his face bashed, but it was hurting to feel his skin being closed magically. He grunted under her touch, but tried to keep on a brave face. She was kind enough to do this for him. He felt like a weight to her. Maybe she had other things to do and only stuck with him because the Dark One commanded her to do so? Was it possible?
“There… All done. We should drive you to the hospital though, just to make sure. I want you to be okay.”
Felix’s eyes locked with hers, and he saw the faint blush spread over her face, and the way she was nervously biting her lips. She seemed to be waiting for something. In most fairy tales, the lady who was saved gives a kiss to their knight, their savior. Maybe he could do this as well? Would it be rude? Brushing those thoughts aside and chasing his anxiety, Felix leant in and kissed her cheek softly. Now, he was blushing as well.
“Thank you. For… for saving me.” He said shyly, stammering and playing with his fingers to distract himself.
“I am sorry for leaving. I will never do that again, I promise.” She replied, sitting next to him and reaching for his hand, tracing circles in his palm. It sent shivers through his body, but it was quite agreeable, especially after the violent altercation he had. He used that opportunity by being close to her to lay his head on her shoulder. He didn’t know why he acted like that suddenly, but being with her just washed away what happened. “I contacted my grandfather, the father of my “mother”. He is a king too. He wants to meet me. I want you to come with me. It would be nice, just both of us, traveling… I believe Liphine wants to go back too.”
“You want to do that with me? Seriously?” He asked, incredulous at the idea she asked him, of all the people, to go back to her realm.
“Of course, I would be happy if you accepted. I… I really like spending time with you.” She stated nervously. “Actually… I quite like you.”
“I do too.” Felix replied without thinking, a bold move from his part, but he didn’t regret it. “I would love to come with you, even if it meant to travel to the end of the world.”
“That’s… a very cute thing to say.” She giggled and still massaged his hand softly. “Everything is going to be alright now.”
For the first time, Felix believed it as well. A small smile spread on his lips.
Yes, everything was going to be alright.

A mermaid's tale
Summary: saving a fellow mermaid from Pan's wrath, you find yourself plotting an escape plan while being taken away by his second in command...
Tumblr media
You observed with a hateful gaze the leader of the island, Peter Pan, as he approached toward you, a wicked grin on his face. You hissed at him and tried to hit him with your tail but you miserably failed to do so. A hand came quickly, wrapping itself around your fragile neck and it numbed you immediately. That damn fool was covering your grill, since you were a mermaid, making it harder to breathe.
The difference between a mermaid and a siren was simple: while you were born this way, and could easily lure away sailors with your voice, sirens were mortals cursed by an unknown deity. First they had feathers, half human, half bird, but they lost them and started to evolve around seas. Additionally, sirens would eat men and women while you mermaids were just joking around with them. Sure, there were a few deaths here and there, but you didn't worry about it.
Except for this one.
One of your dearest friends, and daughter of the leader of your pack, Astrollia, lured and killed a lost boy for the fun of it. It was a rule amongst your kind living on Neverland, to never touch or kill a lost boy or Pan's wrath will bring you to your demise. Except Astrollia never listened and did whatever she wanted again.
You couldn't breath and started to see black dots. The hand released your previous neck and you glared at the brown haired boy and the tall one that served him religiously, as if he was a god. The tall one with the scar and piercing cold eyes that could compete with Poseidon's ones was the most dangerous one or so you have been told by your queen. She told you tales of how the boy single handedly fought a bunch of pirates or even killed one mermaid just with his hand. You didn't know if this was rumors or not but you were at least terrified of him. They had even given him a nickname: the Shark Man.
"Look at that, boys, a fish who jumped out of the river." Peter Pan smirked with a mocking voice, making his lost ones giggling and chuckling darkly.
"Your little friend knew the risks, he shouldn't have come so close to the water." You growled in response. Then you turned your head toward the assembly, trying to put on a terrifying grin, showing off your fangs proudly. You wanted to scare them. "Young boys are so stupid but delicious."
"Oh are we? What about you, dirty fish? Helping your other mermaid friend who is actually the murderer escape from this realm is very idiotic. Not heroic."
"Shut the fuck up you little elf!" You roared in anger as you jumped at him, claws out, ready to rip him out. If you were going to die, you wanted to leave a nasty scar on the little devil. You hoped you would be able to do it honestly.
The tall one stopped you with his club and sent you flying some meters away from his master. Your head hit the tree rather harshly and you groaned in pain. You started to taste the blood in your mouth and you turned your head to see him advancing toward you. You felt actually small and scared but you didn't want to show him. They wouldn't win so easily, you decided. You growled and hissed at him, as well as trying to hit him with your black tail. Unfortunately, you were very disoriented, so it wasn’t very effective.
"What do we do about her Pan?" A young one asked, with a round face and dark eyes.
"What about… letting her in the Dark Jungle. It will be enough for her to live but she will suffer because of the lack of water… And also not a good environment for a pretty and young mermaid like you." Pan whispered as he appeared in front of you. "Felix, you know what to do." He instructed his second in command, who gave a quick nod in return.
He raised you by your forearms and you yelped at the strange sensation, hitting him with your tail, but it didn’t seem to slow him down. You tried to free yourself from the death grip of the tall boy, whose name was apparently Felix. He acted like a shark or a mad man, so your pack was at least right about this. You cried and bit him as he put you over his shoulder, as if you were some kind of bag.
"Let go of me you idiot!" You scratched his back and pulled on his hair as he started to walk away from the camp. Your cheeks felt warm when you heard the lost boys laughing at your misery. "I hate humans!" You screamed, hopefully making him deaf.
You tried to sing but you failed because you were furious. Angry at yourself and at the lost boys and… at your pack for leaving you alone with those stinky humans. You would have loved to drown Felix, first luring him with a beautiful song and then watching him struggle to breath… This was a very pleasant thought, and you continued to hit him with everything you got.
After some time, you stopped to struggle and accepted your faith. The boy was too quiet, it was relaxing in a way. It reminded you of the sea. You only communicated by ultrasound with the other mermaids and sea animals. You wondered how those boys could understand each other: even at the bottom of the sea, sometimes, you could listen to their conversations and disgusting jokes. At least, he wasn’t laughing at your odd predicament.
Suddenly, the boy stopped and dropped on the ground. Taking this as an opportunity to flee, you tried to crawl, your hands digging deep inside the moist earth. You hissed at the texture, hating it instantly. However, you couldn't escape from his grip as easily as you believed, he swiftly pulled you over on his lap.
"What are you doing stupid human?!" You asked, very embarrassed by the awkward position you were in.
"Sleep. You are heavy. Maybe you should eat less."
Your cheeks grew warm in frustration and you wanted to punch him but it will only worsen your case. So you rolled your eyes and thought about the good side of this situation: at least, you would have some rest. You disliked how close this human was to you, but you decided to not let that upset you in getting some rest. Perhaps, you would be able to gain your full strength back, and you will be able to kill that boy. He deserved it. You closed your eyes and fell asleep pretty quickly.
You woke up to someone shaking you. You moaned, turning toward the source of warmth you were against and started to feel at peace once again. You didn’t open your eyes, thinking it was just him trying to move. However, he reiterated his actions and started to speak in a very unsettled and sheepish voice
"Erm… miss… girl… fish girl…"
"What?" You asked rudely, opening your eyes to look at the cold eyes.
"You're naked." The blond haired boy breathed out, almost fascinated, his eyes wandering up and down at your body.
Your eyes grew up to the size of a puffer fish. You moved away from him but when you tried to stand up, you tripped and fell on your back. You heard the boy chuckle and you crawled to the nearest tree. You tried to hide your naked body from him, intimidated and embarrassed by your current state. You didn’t think it would have happened that fast! With the humidity of the jungle, you should have stayed in your mermaid form. This was a crude joke from the gods.
He approached you in a vicious manner, a dark and sly grin on his face, some chuckles leaving his mouth, which made you think about the worst. You didn’t think he would hurt you, maybe he had some honor in his lanky body? You started to shake, from the cold and the fright he was giving you. He was the Shark Man, that’s what your mind kept repeating in your head. He could kill you on this very spot and you didn't want your life to end now. You opened your mouth to plead and beg for your life but you were cut by the boy.
He started to remove his long cloak and draped it around your shoulders in a very delicate manner. You were almost shocked by that. He started to treat you like a fragile and delicate thing and you didn’t know if you were loving this or not. It took you being naked to be considered, you noticed. Has he ever seen a female human naked before? You needed to dig into this and try to escape that awkward situation once and for all.
"I don't know what to do with you now, fish girl." He admitted as he stared at you, crouched down.
"I have a name and it's not fish girl, stinky boy." You tried to make your voice soft, but you weren’t able to: this was again a very embarrassing situation. Anyone in your position would feel the same as you.
He chuckled and shook his head lightly, as if he was taking your reply for a joke. You didn’t understand him. He was confusing. Human males were confusing.
"Then what's your name?"
"(Y/N)." You told him reluctantly. "And I know yours, Felix." You said his name with venom, so he knew you could still be dangerous and that you disliked him.
"No need for that, sweetheart. You forget who has weapons there. I still could kill you for what you did to Josef." He growled, his hand hovering over his dagger at his belt. Still, you didn’t know who he was referring to.
"Josef?"
"The boy you and your friends ate." He said angrily, he seemed furious you didn’t know who had died. It wasn’t your fault, you were only acquainted with your friends, and he didn’t seem to understand that.
"He didn't have to come so near the water. You boys know the rules. But, if it can calm you down, we don't usually eat humans."
The blond haired boy stayed silent after your statement. He seemed very upset about the lost one's death. You didn't understand why. Mermaids were hard to kill so you never experienced the feeling of grief. Well you did, but only once and it was a long time ago, when you were just a little worm. It was one of your sisters that died, killed by a pirate. You remembered how hollow and sad you felt after learning this. But then you grew up, and your emotions vanished. It didn’t seem to be like that for humans, and so they all suffered because of those ridiculous sentiments.
You yelped in surprise as the Shark Man took you in his arms in a rough manner. That time you weren't treated like a common potato bag and he held you close to his chest so you could warm yourself up a little. It relaxed you. You never had been that warm, and human skin wasn't as thick as your scales, so you weren’t properly immune to cold. The contact of your skin against his was pretty nice as well. It almost made you forget you were about to be left alone in this dangerous environment.
"So you're just going to dump me somewhere." You murmured a little scared, realizing you were deep enough inside the thick jungle.
"Yes."
"That's mean." You mumbled under your breath, but he caught what you had said.
"It's the right punishment for killing one of us."
"Fine. I am sorry for tasting his arm. Happy?" You said, hoping it would work and you could walk back to the ocean. It wasn’t true however, you just wanted this to be over with. He was so obsessed with his friend being eaten. "And humans are disgusting. Too many bones. My teeth nearly broke." You continued to lie.
He huffed and didn’t look at you for the rest of the trip. You didn’t like this, how his eyes seemed to be focused on something you couldn’t see. You shuddered as the temperature dropped drastically, indicating you were closer to the location. You considered begging once again but suddenly, you had a better idea. What if he was focusing on something else because of your body? Sure, you were wearing his cloak, but it wasn’t long enough to hide all your body parts. Smirking like the devil, a plan slowly hatched in your mind. You knew how to get out of this.
When you passed by a river, you tugged at his scarf softly, pouting a little. He sighed in a frustrated way and lowered his gaze onto you. Trying to be as charming as ever, you announced you wanted a small break. He didn’t say anything as he put you on the ground, but far enough from the water source. This wasn’t a big problem, once you were sure he was distracted and he would be, you could just run in and swim back to the ocean.
“So… have you seen a girl naked before? Or am I your first?” You asked with a grin on your face, watching in delight as his face was as red as a clownfish.
“I… I… What?” He stammered, trying to hide the fact he was embarrassed. It was his turn.
“You sound so silly right now.” You let his coat fall on the ground and danced mentally at the evident success of your escape plan. He was hypnotized by you and you knew it. You stepped toward him slowly and you smiled when he wasn’t moving. Well, something about him was definitely moving. You were quite acquainted with the bodies of women and men alike. This was so easy.
“What are you doing?” He asked, his voice shaking a little.
“Nothing that will harm you don’t worry…” You pressed yourself against him and he involuntarily made a small sound. You had spied on so many humans that you knew what that sound meant. Your grin grew wider. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to know a little more about men…” You kissed his cheek. You were so close to freezing him. “You are such a good boy.”
That’s when you striked. You softly put your lips on his. You were inexperienced yourself but you had seen so many humans doing it. It was also very easy. You felt his hands at your hips, urging you to come closer. You had to take the control back, so you just pushed him on the grass, falling on him. His hands went then to your chest and you rolled your eyes, such a primitive act. You kissed him again, more roughly than the first one and made sure he would remain in this position.
“You are going to be a very good pet and stay here until I reach the river.” You sang to his ears, effectively bewitching him, just like any man would. They fell like flies once you were using your powers. It was amusing. And you loved seeing him underneath you… You shouldn’t be thinking of this right now.
Struggling to stand up, you hurried toward the river. You smiled as you felt your legs morphing into your beautiful tail. Laying down on the hard pebbles, you started to swim with a little difficulty, since the water wasn’t as high as the sea. Glancing to where the lost one was, you realized he was sitting on the grass, staring at you with sad eyes. You felt bad for doing this, but you needed to get free. That meeting had been very pleasant though. So, you whistled to catch his attention once again. He stood up and came close to the river. He wasn’t able to reach you, you knew it, that’s why you were being slippy on safety measures.
“See you next time, Felix. I enjoyed your company a little too much.” You smiled and winked at him before diving into the water and rushing to the sea.
Once you reached one of your many hideouts, you couldn’t help but smirk like an idiot just at the mere thought of Felix. Perhaps, you will keep your promise and try to see him another day…

Reunion
Summary: Felix wakes up and discovers a horrible surprise on his doorstep
Author's note: this is part 1 of Reunion! considers this a AU where Pan failed to kill Felix and Felix tried to build his life again with you, as his partner :3 I still don't know where I am going with this one but I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
"What are you doing here?"
Felix's day had started great. He actually felt good for once, and that was such a huge step toward his recovery. His mental state had been… bad. Very bad. But ever since he had met his girlfriend, (Y/N), Felix tried to do better. He went to the local therapist who was a close friend of his partner, and got a job at the Sheriff station. He didn’t ask for any job but Emma Swan insisted he would do him some good. So he agreed, even though he didn’t enjoy how he was practically dragged into the position. Some people even complained about him being a policeman or whatever they called it in this realm, but David had made it clear that he was, apparently, a good addition to their little team.
As he was making some breakfast for his girlfriend, Felix had heard someone knocking rather loudly several times on the front door. It was odd for a Saturday but he guessed it was the mailman. He opened the door with a fake smile but it quickly faltered.
Peter Pan was standing on his doorstep, a usual smirk on his face. It felt like his nightmares were coming to life.
"What are you doing here?" He repeated, incredulous about what was happening. His breath suddenly quickened as well as his heart but he tried to not let it appear.
"Hello Felix! Long time no see right? What a nice house!"
"Felix, who's at the door?" A voice asked behind him.
"Aren't you going to reply ? I bet the lady is worried that you are away from her…" The green eyed devil told him, a finger pointing in the direction of inside the house.
The blond haired boy slammed the door and quickly locked it. That must have been a ghost. This was not happening. He stumbled back and tripped, leaving him on the floor. He didn’t try to stand up, curling up on himself as he was having difficulty breathing. It felt like his breath was being stopped by a ball in his lungs.
"Hey, darling, you okay-?" He heard someone running toward him, and he curled on himself tighter, feeling embarrassed that his girlfriend was seeing him in this state. "Felix! It's okay, I am here…" (Y/N) added with a softer voice, putting his head on her thighs. "Breathe, it is going to be alright." He felt her hands through his hair and he slowly relaxed.
"He is back. He is back." He rambled on and on, not wanting to open his eyes. He didn’t want to be confronted with reality. Perhaps it was a nightmare? He wished it could be one, that he was going to wake up soon, if he pinched his skin perhaps? He tried that but he realized it made everything a lot more real.
"Let’s get you upstairs okay? You don't look well. You need to rest." She whispered as she assisted him in standing up, then they both climbed up the stairs (Felix had wobbly legs the whole time so it hadn’t been easy) and she held him up until they reached the bed. She then untied his shoes and helped him remove his pants. He felt like a child again, like he was at the beginning… After Pan tried to murder him for his sick plans. The memories were still fresh, he had tried to block them time and time again, but it had always failed. "I will call David to sort things out."
"Don't let him near me. Please." He begged her, his eyes darting into hers, searching the confident and protective glaze they usually held. And he felt relieved when he realized it was the case.
"I will protect you, I swear." She kissed his forehead with a soft and reassuring smile, and then she exited the bedroom, closing the door behind so her lover could have some peace and quiet.
(Y/N) walked downstairs, rushing to the kitchen where her breakfast was burning after she had smelled it. She cursed when she saw that her eggs and bacon were way overcooked. She couldn’t eat them and she had wasted good products. Well, she couldn’t blame anyone. The situation was complicated, and she knew Felix had meant well when he woke up first to make breakfast. She then decided to blame it on Pan, since he was the root of the problems. (Y/N) glanced at her phone and realized David had already called her and sent her numerous text messages. She groaned as she reached it, feeling a headache coming. What was this mess? Had Felix hallucinated again?
Someone knocked again on the door. Probably the unwanted guest, and she couldn't leave him outside. Walking to the door, she texted David to explain himself right now. She got a quick negative reply and she wanted nothing but throw her phone at his stupid charming face. He informed her he was coming out of his home, and that everything was under control. She didn’t think the same way.
Opening the front door, her eyes darted furiously to the green ones of the boy standing there, hands in his pockets, with a proud grin plastered on his face. He looked her up and down, whistling as he did so. Felix was right. It was no hallucination of his and not a ghost. At that moment, she only wanted to drag him into her basement, and hurt him for everything he had done to her Felix.
"Hello love, can't believe Felix caught a fish like you…"
"You can keep your dirty metaphors to yourself." She hissed and slammed the door behind her. "If you dare to show your face again around here, consider your life over. I will not hesitate to drive a stake through your heart, if you have one."
"You got fire, I like that." His grin grew wider on his lips, she wondered how someone could do this. It was inhuman. "I am afraid I can't leave. After all, I made a deal with those wannabe heroes."
She went to say something else, but she was beaten by the sound of the sheriff's siren. Peter Pan turned his head and watched with a contemptuous and pompous smile as David exited the car hurriedly. There was her prince charming on a white horse riding to save her.
"What the fuck is going on?" She asked him as she eyed Pan dangerously. It took all her self control to jump on him and scratch his eyes out of his eyeballs.
"I will explain later. Is Felix okay?" He asked, with a fake tone of worry.
"No he isn't. He needs to rest. He got quite the emotional shock." She replied and gestured with her head toward Peter.
"Well… I didn’t think he was going to react like that. And I told you to stay in the station!" David said to Pan, who shrugged. Honestly, it felt like David was a father who desperately tried to scold and punish his child for breaking a window. Such a pitiful sight.
"I wanted to see Felix."
"Come see us later." David told (Y/N) with a sigh, seeming frustrated about the whole situation. "At the police station. We need to speak to Felix."
"Yeah, yeah…"
It took some convincing from his girlfriend, but Felix made it. He went on frail legs, squeezing (Y/N)'s hand hard. She didn’t say anything about the pain, knowing how he must feel. As they exited the car, they both noticed Regina, Henry and Neal outside, speaking together in a hushed tone, so no one could hear what was happening. The woman noticed them first, a frown over her face, obviously upset about the situation.
"You came for the freak show." She told them with a dry voice. It sounded like she had been yelling for hours. The situation must also be hard for her and for Henry but the boy didn’t seem that afraid or stressed.
"David wanted to talk with Felix about what was happening…" (Y/N) replied, glancing at her boyfriend. She was very worried. His eyes were so hollow.
"It's a tough situation." Neal agreed with a nod. "You guys are going to be alright." He tried to sound sincere, but the couple both knew he was only trying to soothe their stress and anxiety away. It was not working.
"I doubt it." The blond haired boy muttered as he started to walk toward the station.
The tension was high when they entered the room. Felix immediately left his girlfriend and angrily marched toward David who was with his wife. He also did notice Pan and Emma in the back, as if they were trying to hide him, and that made his blood boil more. He was the victim, he was the one that they should protect.
"Why is he here?! You know what he did to me, he tried to kill me!" He yelled as he glared at Peter Pan who stared back with a pleased smile, and then stared at David who looked warily at his family. "What did I do wrong?" He whispered, mostly to himself. He truly believed he must have misbehaved someway or another. He didn’t like Pan hanging around his house.
"You didn't do anything wrong Felix." Snow White quickly said as she advanced toward him. She hugged him and he hated it. She would always do that when someone was upset, as if her hugs could heal. "But we need Pan for something. If he doesn't help us, the whole town could be in danger. The only condition he asked was… to be reunited with you."
"So you are sacrificing him?" (Y/N) asked while she crossed her arms over her chest, skeptical and sounding very mad.
"Of course not!" Snow answered quickly but he could hear it in her tone. This is exactly what they were doing to him. Felix took this as a betrayal, they swore something like that would never happen again, that Pan was locked away and would never return.
"I need some days off." Felix told David in a faint voice, who stared at him quietly, probably feeling ashamed of what they had done. Well, this is what he was hoping the adults were feeling.
"You got it." Emma said with a sigh, her tone soft and silent, like a whisper.
"Let’s go, darling." (Y/N) took his hand and brought him to the entrance of the police station. He was glad she was here: she was his pillar. Without her, he would be nothing. He would crumble to the ground and wouldn’t be able to build himself up.
"Wait for me!"
The annoying voice reached their ears and they shuddered at the same time. The voice tried to be pleasant but it made them cringe. It was full of malice and they knew that Pan coming to their life will bring chaos into their household.
And they were both right.
Peter criticized everything in the house: to the height of the roof, to the color of the walls, to his bedroom being too small for the man he was… Ultimately, Felix had left them alone, knowing (Y/N) could handle herself without him. However, he didn't know if Pan would hold his tongue around her. He would regret it anyway: she was a hunter, the kind that chased supernatural creatures around, like vampires.
(Y/N) was getting frustrated about his behavior. It was as if he was making it on purpose. She sat on the bed, watching as Pan rambled on about how the house was dirty, just because of a stain on a mirror. She really wanted to kill him. And she could: she had a knife hidden in her sleeve. She could easily reach it, and slice his throat. He didn’t have any magic left, so it was going to be oh so easy and so satisfying. She imagined the blood pouring out, the gurgles he would make, the sound of his body collapsing to the ground…
Inadvertently, she started to giggle, which attracted Pan's attention. She swore she saw smoke coming out of his ears, he looked so furious and angry she was not listening to him.
"Something funny?" He asked.
"Nothing that should matter to you, your highness." She said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. "Are you done?"
"Not quite. I have to talk to Felix about you, the useless girlfriend." He snapped as he made his way into the doorway.
She quickly followed behind him. There was no way she was leaving him hanging around Felix alone. He had hurt him enough and he deserved to pay for it.
"If you make him cry, if you make him angry, you are out of the house." (Y/N) warned him as she tackled Pan against the wall roughly. "I will not let you hurt him again."
"Easy tiger… was that a threat?" He smirked and she wanted to take her knife and stab him in the face, perhaps slicing a frowny smile so he would stop smiling all the time! "Didn't know Felix liked your kind of girls…"
"Didn't know you were a massive asshole."
"Where is Felix?"
"Cooking dinner." She grunted as she separated from him and started to make her way to the staircase.
She couldn't believe they were doing this. They were welcoming him, housing him, feeding him… In her eyes, he was nothing more than a dangerous criminal. (Y/N) longed to kill him. She could do it easily and dumped him somewhere people will never find him. She was one of the best monster hunters and killers. She got those ideas out of her head and focused more on helping her lover. She found Felix near the stove, cutting the steaming roast nervously. (Y/N) smiled softly as she approached him from behind and gently touched his shoulder.
"Hey."
"Hi." He mumbled back.
"You know I can lock him up in the attic and we could have a romantic dinner together." She gave a small smile, trying to cheer him up. "And even more, if you are… a good boy."
He released a laugh and shook his head as he finished cutting the meat. He placed some parts in three plates. His movements were slow and trembling, and (Y/N) definitely felt bad about it. What was happening was affecting him a lot and there was no solution. Well, there was one: locking Pan up again.
"We are going to get through this. Together." She kissed his palm softly. "I promise."
"I will try to… cooperate."
"You don't have to. He just sits down, and eats." She told him. "Simple. For the rest, I will try to not let him near you. You don’t deserve this."
She went to kiss him but got interrupted by someone knocking softly on the door. They both shared a look before Felix went over and opened it, discovering Emma and her parents as well as Hook standing there, with an awkward smile plastered on his face.
He looked at them questionably and realized Snow was holding a plate. They were all wearing a big smile on their faces and it meant one thing: they had something in mind. He still didn't know if they came to apologize or for something else.
"Can I help you?"
"We will help ourselves with dinner, friend." The pirate captain smirked as he moved inside. "Thank you for the invitation." He grinned as he patted the lost boy's shoulder who glared back at him, not appreciating the gesture.
"I didn't-"
"We just want to see how the first evening goes with… You know who." Snow White then said as she clumsily followed Hook, wiping her shoes on the doormat.
"I don't even know if we will have enough food…" Felix grudgingly mumbled as he closed the door.
The dinner was quite unpleasant. Pan was sitting between Hook and Emma, and that wasn't stopping him from spitting his venom. He was making crude jokes about Snow White and David, making unnecessary and inappropriate comments about (Y/N) and his former second in command and Emma and Hook weren't spared as well.
(Y/N) hoped and even prayed for the dinner to end as swiftly as possible. She couldn’t stand breathing the same oxygen as the green devil. She really wanted to throw her knife in his face. Without his magic, he wouldn't be able to catch it. She glanced at Felix, as he didn't speak at all during dinner, often playing with his food. He hadn’t eaten a lot. When he caught her looking, she flashed him a reassuring smile, hoping to cheer him up.
Finally, the dessert came. Snow had baked an apple pie. They were all eating quietly, which didn't change from the beginning of the evening. Then Pan started to crack jokes. Everyone groaned around him but that didn't stop the green devil from saying them anyway. (Y/N) only hoped he wouldn't attack Felix, as the young man looked like he was about to faint.
Unfortunately, her eyes crossed Pan's and his lips grew into a giant smirk and she again wondered how he could do that. It was inhuman, scary and made her shudder.
"You have the same look on your face Felix, the same when I took out your heart a while ago. What's the matter, my friend?"
(Y/N) heard Felix struggling to breath and a chair fell abruptly. No one was saying a damn thing. She watched as her lover fled to the stairs and climbed them as fast as he could, nearly tripping on the way.
She was mad. Oh, she was furious. She wanted to snap his neck like someone would do for a chicken or a rabbit. However, she just knew the other people would stop her. She wanted to fight him equally as well. She threw a hot cup of tea at his face, and he yelped at the sensation. Good. He deserved it.
Rushing as fast as she could, she started to run toward the stairs, to join Felix who was probably not feeling so well. She didn't hear Pan wiping off the tea with a groan. His face was a little red and he glared at the others in the room.
"What the fuck did I say?!"

Peau d'Âne's daughter and the Lost Boy
Part 1 is here ! This is part 2
Summary: Felix becomes the new "pet" of Rumpletilskin's apprentice, (Y/N). As weeks pass, he starts developing something towards her...
Tumblr media
Felix's days were… interestingly boring.
He wasn't allowed to go outside on his own, even the slightest. He was not allowed to run the shop alone as well, which he found dumb. Wasn't he supposed to help them some way or another? Rumpletilskin was always barking after him, treating him like a dog, which made Felix angry. They could be heard on the streets, bickering and yelling at each other on some days. It was a wonder how the blond haired boy was not punished for those outbursts.
Oddly enough, he started to enjoy Belle's presence. She was a good break from two powerful and gloomy characters that were the Dark One and (Y/N). Belle started bringing him books after he said he didn’t find anything interesting and that's how Felix would spend most of the day: reading either on the sofa near the window or in the bedroom. Also, for someone who had a messy room, (Y/N) surprisingly didn't spend much time in it. She was absent most of the time, Felix noticed. He didn’t know where she went during the day, but he knew that during the evenings, she was either at a friend's house or partying outside. The blond haired boy didn't mind: he enjoyed the quietness when he was reading.
This day however, (Y/N) was present. And she looked as bored as she was. She was pacing around the shop like a lion in a cage, touching objects that had a sign "Do not touch!" on it. Felix didn't know where Rumpletilskin was and he didn't care about his whereabouts. Finally a day he could spend without getting screamed at, or without getting nearly stabbed by a fork because he used the wrong silverware to eat the salad.
So yes, Felix was very pleased to be alone in the bedroom. The book he had been reading since a few days ago was White Fangs by Jack London. Belle had brought him another one from the author, named The Call of the Wild. Was it strange for him to relate to the main characters? It felt like all his life: when he was out on the streets, like Buck when he was a sled dog, other people showed him skills to survive.
Then, hearing Pan's call for the first time, it felt like his life was finally taking a good direction. He had a family,(somewhat, the boys seemed to fear him more than they wanted to befriend him. He had always suspected his age and his height for this), and Pan… Pan had always been at his side since their meeting. Felix still saw him as a deity, or something like that, he had been marveled by the numerous powers Pan showed during fights or to impress the boys. After that…. Well those godforsaken heroes destroyed it all, they brought false promises of happiness and of homes and the other boys bought it quickly. What was that? What about loyalty? Was it because Pan punished them too much?
Was Neverland harsh? Yes but it needed to be: they needed to protect this green jewel from pirates like Hook or other undesirable people. Not able to concentrate on the sentences, the blond haired boy took a deep breath and went back to the top of the page, ready to read again. His mind was as messy as the room.
"What are you reading?"
He raised his head from the book, and saw (Y/N) standing in the doorway, leaning against it.
"White Fang." He showed her the cover. "I like that writer. Jack London."
"Well, White Fang, would you like to watch a movie with me? I am bored, the shop is closed, and Rumpletilskin is on a date with Belle." She told him with a annoyed sigh. "I will even let you choose the movie! I am a pretty indecisive person."
Why did she want to spend time with him? He was their prisoner. Yes, he may be living in a golden cage but deep down, he didn't forget his status. He could even call himself a slave. But, Felix gave in and carefully put a bookmark made of cardboard that he drew on it and closed his book, beside his cushion.
"Fine. I was getting bored anyway." He lied, as he was greatly appreciating his book. "What kind of movies should we watch?" He asked as they both came downstairs. The word felt foreign on his tongue, there was nothing like a movie back in Neverland or back… back in his old life.
"Well, you will be the one choosing." She led him to the living room and to a shelving unit. "I am going to make us some popcorn."
"What's popcorn?" He asked but it was too late: she was already out of the room. He groaned and his attention went back to the full shelves. He had a hard time reading the titles and decided to just choose one randomly.
(Y/N) came back quickly with a glass bowl filled with little white round things. Felix turned to her with a movie and handed it to her. In exchange, she gave him the bowl.
"Into the woods? Didn't know you were a musical fan, Felix." She chuckled and he felt a bit insulted. Was it a bad choice?
"We can change if you don't like it."
"No! No, this is good. I mean, we are fairytale characters and this speaks about fairytales. Kind of fitting."
He hummed at her comment and settled himself on the couch, waiting for (Y/N) to start the weird magic box.
She practically jumped on the sofa and she stared at him for a second, giggling. He rolled his eyes at her childish behaviour. The movie then started and she oddly got closer to him, bringing a blanket with her. He didn’t really know how to react so he pretended that it wasn't bothering him. He kept thinking of keeping a clear and neutral face.
The young woman was also starting to fall asleep. He groaned when she started to breath loudly, which was ruining the movie. And he couldn't hear what the characters were saying! Groaning, he reached for the "remote". He had seen her pressing some buttons before, how hard could it be?
"Felix…" She whined, eyes closed and put her head on his chest which made him blush madly. His heart started to beat hard in his chest as well, and he feared she may hear it. "What are you doing?"
"I am trying to put the volume up for the movie." He answered, his eyes focusing on the remote. "I am trying to do it on my own." He then added as Sharon, that he learnt that she was (Y/N)'s familiar, appeared and jumped on his knees. Felix was a bit scared of the cat: he was sure she was spying on him with her big green eyes. But the cat seemed to appreciate him. She laid down near her owner, and purred as she rubbed her head on Felix's arm. "Can you tell your cat to leave?"
"No… she is so cute. She likes you a lot!" (Y/N) smiled as she gave some pets to her cat. "You should pet her sometimes."
"I will… or not." He let out a sigh and gave up on the remote. His hand went into the popcorn bowl and he started to eat a few. Sharon the cat tried to eat some as well but he lifted the bowl high enough so she wouldn't be able to access to it. The cat let out a angry puff and finally left the room.
"I am going to bed... feel free to watch any other movies. Have a good evening Felix." (Y/N) told him with a sweet smile, which strangely made him ill in the stomach. He heard her going upstairs and he let out another sigh, not enjoying being on his own.
He didn’t like his new environment that much, though he enjoyed being alone most of the times. If he didn't like it in that moment, it was because of everything that surrounded him: the TV, the remote... Every modern thing was complexe and it took several days for him to learn and understand them.
(Y/N) had also gifted him a "phone". Rumpletilskin was displeased about this and he remembered how in the evening the both of them had a rather loud and huge fight. He didn’t know why the Dark One had been furious about that item and he didn't bother to question it. Learning how to use a phone had been hard as well but (Y/N) had been right: phones were very useful. She would send a message whenever she would leave for a party and so he could sleep on both ears.
After the movie ended, he struggled to switch off the TV for several minutes. Then, he started to walk up to their shared bedroom and he opened the door, trying to be as quiet as possible. Of course, the cat was curling on his mattress and he groaned, as he tried to not wake her up.
Rumpletilskin had tasked him to clean up the attic. He tried to throw a fit, as he now prefered to read but he didn't dare to risk it. If he had done it, maybe he would have been punished and that was out of question. He still needed to hatch a plan to free Peter Pan and to get out of here.
He waited for the bucket to be full before taking it off the sink and started to walk toward the attic with no difficulty, being used to carry a huge club, it was no problem to carry a full bucket of steaming water up. Thinking back about his plan, he didn't know what to do actually. He didn’t know where Pan was, so maybe he should start snooping around to get this information.
But then what? He opened the door and closed it behind him. He let out a groan when he realised the room didn't have a working light, so he used his phone and put near a book so he could have some light when he was mopping the floor.
Coming back to what was bothering his mind, if he could find Pan first, that would be great but then what again? How could he free Pan? He didn't have any knowledge on magic. At least he knew that he was imprisoned in a magic box. Perhaps he could bribe (Y/N) into helping him? That seemed possible. He knew enough of her life now to use some information against her, but he felt bad and a bit upset when he thought about doing it.
The attic was full of unknown objects that scared him a little: there were, for example, jars filled with animals and… human parts. He quickly averted his eyes to something else. There was a broken piano again, in a much worse state than the one in the shop. There was a rose that didn't fade at all except for its colours. It was sad.
Something eventually caught his eyes: a transparent and long box, with something inside. He approached it slowly, trying not to make any noises. He let out a small admiring sound as he lightly touched the box.
Inside was a wand. It was sparkly, long, and rectangular, and it was shining under the light of the phone (Y/N) gifted him. He put the phone on the table beside the box and quickly opened it, feeling a very strange and strong urge to take it.
The wand felt light in his hands, as if it was weighing nothing. He felt instantly warm as well, and felt like he could move mountains or change the colour of the clouds. Is that how Peter felt when he was using his powers? Did he feel that warm and confident and giddy?
Maybe he could do magic after all? He had never tried, Pan never tried to teach him. He never spoke about teaching magic to him ever. It was like his secret. That way, maybe Felix could free him? They could both escape to Neverland if he knew magic. They would be stronger together.
Seeing something from the corner of his eyes suddenly, he moved around, branding the wand like it was a sword. However, something sparked from the wand and a small painting of a young girl caught fire.
"Shit!" Felix exclaimed as he went to the water bucket he had brought with him to clean the attic. He took an old blue vest that was laying there, dumped it into water and started hitting the painting with his full force. Then, he laid the vest down and sighed in relief when the fire didn't start again.
Finally, his gaze went back to the wand that he had thrown on the ground when he realised about the fire. Crouching down, he took it back delicately, afraid he had broken it. Maybe it was worth keeping… but he would definitely put it back in the box. He was certain Rumpletilskin wouldn't notice the absence of the wand from the attic: if it was there in the first place, it was probably to keep it out of sight and out of mind.
When he finished, he put the cleaning supplies back in the storage room and then went back to retrieve the wand. He put his Neverland's cloak around it so it was a bit hidden, and thought about putting it in his drawer. (Y/N) had kindly given him some space for his clothes and books, and he was sure she wouldn't feel the wand. Well, hopefully she won't.
The days went by again slowly and boringly. (Y/N) was never there and he wondered why. He felt hurt that she wouldn't want to spend time with him. Rumpletilskin was as charming as always but luckily Belle was here to cool things down. She cooked well too. It changed from what he usually ate.
Felix had been in charge of the shop several times as well. He was surprised the first time it happened. It seemed the Dark One started to trust him a little, which was good in a way. However, he didn't like how the old man would stare down at Sharon, the familiar, and instruct her to look after Felix. What could this cat do anyway? Meow and shit everywhere?
As he was rearranging the paperwork behind the counter, some accidentally fell when a draught pushed them down on the ground. He rolled his eyes, not noticing the strange moment he had felt as all the windows and the door were closed, crouched down and started to gather them quickly. He wanted to take a nap.
A box then fell to the ground.
He stopped breathing. He didn’t touch anything and that thing fell on his own. It was weird and it was freaking him out. Someone must be trying to scare him… but no one else than him was present in the shop.
"Sharon." He gently called the cat who came running and meowing. Was it strange for him to have her at his side in case something happened?
His hands were shaking but he gripped the wood box in his hands, not wanting to let it fall a second time. It was a plain and ordinary box but it had the shape of a music one. How strange again… He hesitated for several minutes until he opened it. Perhaps it was a bad idea but something inside him wanted it to happen.
As soon as he lifted the top of the box, he started to hear a little tune, and a little blond fairy wearing purple was spinning to the sound. He let out a nervous laughter, feeling silly for imagining the worst, like releasing a mystical beast.
He shouldn't have thought that.
In mere seconds, the fairy figure started to spin more and more intensely and faster. The box started to shake as well and it grew hot, eventually burning Felix's hands. He pushed the box on the counter and looked at Sharon who hissed in fright but stood in front of him protectively. Then, there was a bright light that blind him for several seconds and he was pushed against the wall by a burst of magic.
His ears were ringing too and he hesitated to open his eyes. He hoped no monster had been released or Rumpletilskin would kill him. He heard someone walking toward him and he realised his mistake. Yes, he was dead.
"My dear boy, what are you doing like this on the ground?" A soft voice asked and he was so surprised of sweet the person sounded as well that he felt he was dreaming. "Did I frighten you?"
He eventually opened his eyes and was astounded by what he was seeing. It was a beautiful woman. It was like she was surrounded by a halo of light as well. His eyes shyly went to her face, he felt like a child again. She was tall and slender, slim and very stunning. Her hair was blond and short with diamond hair clips shaped in flowers, and she had the same pattern on her necklace. Just like the fairy in the music box, she was a sheer purple dress that suited her well. She had a kind face, it made Felix more appeased of the situation. The woman made him feel trusted and loved and protected, and those feelings weren't really known to him.
"Dear child, how are you feeling?" She questioned as she approached him. The cat immediately went to rub herself on the newcomer, which Felix took for a good sign.
"I am... I am okay." He replied, despite his ears still ringing a little. "I guess I am."
"You are not the Dark One... Or are you the new one?" She then asked, and it looked like she suddenly tensed.
"No I am just..." He was a slave. "I am just working there. Freely."
Her eyes seemed to notice the bracelet on his wrist. He wanted to hide it away but her hands flew to his and she gently lifted it so she could inspect it. She had a sad look on her face after.
"My poor child, I am sorry this had happened to you. No one should force you to do anything."
Her voice was oh so reassuring. He wanted to hug her. Those urges were new to him and he felt bothered by them. So, he decides to ask her a few questions.
"Why were you in the music box?"
"The Dark One trapped me there." She answered as she placed the box on the counter. "To avoid me spoiling his plan I suppose. He must have messed with my god daughter..."
"Felix!"
(Y/N) bursted through the door, a fireball in her hand, ready to fight the stranger in the shop. The lost boy went in front of the woman and begged the young woman to not kill her yet.
"She is a intruder! Did she hurt you?" She then asked as she eyed the stranger. "I called Rumpletilskin he is coming."
"I can't believe it... When I left you... Oh." The woman gasped as she made her way toward them. "You... You are her daughter."
"Who the fuck are you?!" (Y/N) roared, placing Felix behind her.
"I am the Lilac Fairy. Your mother's fairy godmother."
There was a tensed silence after that. Felix looked worriedly at (Y/N) who wasn't moving but rather breathing heavily. He approached her and asked if she was feeling alright. Her eyes seemed to soften at his view but he realised that held such a furious wrath that he didn't dare to stand in her way.
"You are saying nonsense. Rumpletilskin helped my mother and in exchange she gave me to him."
"This is what he must have made you believed. I helped your mother to escape your grandfather when he wanted to marry her." The fairy started to recall as she stared with fondness to the younger woman. "Rumpletilskin had tried to get involved as well but I pushed him off many times. Unfortunately... I..."
"(Y/N)! Don't move, I am taking care of it!" A booming voice interrupted the fairy and a fireball went past Felix so fast he couldn't dodge it.
He hissed in pain as his arm had been burnt. He touched it and nearly threw up, smelling his burnt flesh. (Y/N) turned to him and hovered her hand above his injury and healed them in little time. He muttered a thank you as Rumpletilskin walked up to the fairy.
"What are you doing here?!" He screamed at her.
"That kind gentleman freed me."
"Felix?" The Dark One turned his head and glared at him. "We will talk about this later."
He gulped nervously, remembering the many threats the old man had pronounced towards him. He stepped back to the young woman who was looking between her father figure and the fairy. He felt bad suddenly for putting her through this. But how could he have known that the fairy was also the fairy godmother?
He should leave. Being here will make the situation worse, he didn't know the full story. But he also wanted to stay in order to support (Y/N) through this difficult moment.
"Rumple we have to talk." (Y/N) said in a serious tone, which was unfit for her personality. "She told..."
"She is lying."
"Why did you lie to this child?" The Lilac fairy then questioned the Dark One. "Why didn't you tell her the truth?"
He was probably afraid (Y/N) wouldn't like him as much as she did. The young woman seemed to love him like a father and respected him as well. Felix felt awkward and out of place: it was not his business, so he moved towards the back of the shop to give them some space. He was stopped by the Dark One who violently pushed him back.
"You...!" He pointed his finger at him and Felix froze. "We will speak about this once she disappears once and for all."
Felix wanted to justify himself, balling his fists in anger but he caught the Lilac fairy's eyes and he instantly calmed down.
"No. I want to hear what she has to say." (Y/N) said, as she desperately looked at the fairy as well. "My mom... she didn't want to give me up?" Her voice broke at the end.
"Of course not! She was a very sweet woman. How would she abandon her child to the hands of someone like the Dark One? What did you do to her?" The Lilac fairy asked Rumpletilskin who was quiet all of the sudden.
"Please just say something!" (Y/N) begged him, and she walked up to him. "Why did you lie to me? Why didn't you say anything about the fairy?"
"Because it was the only way to hide the truth to you. I... forced your parents to give you up." Rumpletilskin admitted. He sat down on the couch and sighed, rubbing his hands on his face. "I foresaw a child with strong magic and it was you. I had to... After Bae left me... I just wanted someone to transmit my knowledge."
"All those years you lied to me and said that my parents didn't care about me!" She screamed at him, in a rightful anger. "You used me!"
"I didn't use you! I love you like you are my own daughter!"
Felix was bothered to be there in that moment. It was obviously not his place, but... maybe he could comfort her after the argument. He glanced at the fairy who didn't seem sad or happy that Rumpletilskin was suffering and he wondered why.
"Where are you going?!" The Dark One exclaimed as (Y/N) left to the backroom without a word.
He quickly followed her, but she was walking so fast he had to run in order to catch her. She slammed her bedroom door in his face and he waited a moment before entering. The room was in a mess, more than usual. The young woman was putting clothes in a backpack furiously, mumbling something.
"What are you doing?" He asked softly.
"I am leaving."
"What?! You can't do that!" Felix protested, as he stood in the doorway, trying to trap her in the room. "You can't leave!"
"Of course I am leaving!" She snapped at him, and he swore he felt the walls and the ground shake as she spoke. "You have no idea how... how fucking furious I am! I want nothing to do with him, or the shop or the house!"
But what about him? Why would she do that to him? He closed the door behind him and practically jumped on her. He didn’t know how to hug people but he tried. He tried to make her feel that he liked her, that he didn't want her to leave him alone. He was praying intensely for his embrace to work.
She was not moving and he could feel her tensed up from the hug. Felix had never been a physical person, not enjoying the contact but he made an effort to show her he cared. She couldn’t leave. His head was on the top of hers and he closed his eyes, enjoying her perfume. He then felt gentle fingers rubbing his back up and down. He sighed in relief and perhaps in pleasure too. She wasn't leaving. She was sure of it.
"Felix… I have to leave." No she couldn't, he hugged a bit tighter but she got away by disappearing and reappearing close to him. "For my own mental health. It's… important for me."
"No! Just… Can't you just avoid him but stay herd?"
"Why do you care so much?" She asked abruptly, her eyes staring into his as if she was luring him into saying the truth.
"I… We are… acquainted. I care because you seem to care about me." He quickly spoke with a stammering voice.
She studied his face for a moment and then sighed. She went back to packing her bag and he knew it was over. (Y/N) decided that she was leaving and there was nothing or no one that could stop her. Felix sat down on her bed defeated.
"I need some space right now but… I still have my phone. I will text and call you. I promise." She shyly whispered as she walked over him and kissed his cheek, which made them both blush. "Take care of Sharon for me, will you? She will need someone good." She gave him a faint smile before taking her bag.
(Y/N) glanced one final time towards him and Felix still wanted to prevent her from disappearing. But her decision was unfortunately made. She winked at him and as he blinked, the young woman was gone.
Sucking a breath, he laid back on her bed and felt something salty rolling down his cheeks. He was crying. It was the first time in a very long time actually. The last time was when he had been kicked out, he was screaming and begging his parents to not abandon him. And there he was again: crying because he had been abandoned.
Sharon went into the room and seemed to search for her owner. But then she spotted him and climbed the bed. She started to purr and rub her head on his hand, wanting more pets. He chuckled sadly and turned on his side, cuddling the little black cat.
And he had completely forgotten about freeing Peter Pan and escaping to Neverland. All he cared about at that moment was (Y/N). She was the only thing he had in mind. He hated to admit that but… he clearly was in love with her.
