headcanon that adaine didn't know common when she moved to solace.
her parents refused to speak anything but elvish around the house, and she wasn't old enough to start school in fallinel, where she would have learned the language.
so when her family moves to solace, she's so excited to go to school and get out of her awful house. but she starts school and immediately panics because everything is in a language she doesn't understand. she's falling behind in classes because she can't read, none of the other kids will speak to her, her parents are disappointed all over again, and she's just lonely.
then, in comes aelwyn.
aelwyn, who at this age cares so much about her parents' opinions. who, yes, is mean to adaine at times, but her words haven't turned outright cruel yet. who still has a deep love for her baby sister. and damn it, no one will see her family, her baby sister, as incapable.
and so, aelwyn starts teaching adaine common. it's slow going at first, because aelwyn's never taught anybody anything before and she had only started learning the language herself a few years ago. but, slowly but surely, adaine learns. and although aelwyn is mean and nasty and regularly makes fun of adaine-- she's a suprisingly good teacher? stern and strict for sure, but she's actually giving adaine the attention and resources she needs to learn.
and so, adaine's grades start to rise as she can read the instructions, her classmates begin to talk to her and invite her to play at recess, and her teachers stop overlooking her. her home life is still awful, but things start looking up, at least at school.
but eventually, the tension between the sisters gets high enough that the lessons stop. there's no more helping each other, only vicious barbs and brutal competition.
fast forward a decade. adaine killed her father. her mother's being chased by a van with hands. aelwyn and adaine have reconciled. the sisters are closer than they've ever been.
aelwyn's 19, but she's lost a year of her life to the court of stars' torture. she can't go back to high school; she needs to make it in the real world-- she needs a job, but her skills include criminal activity and being a nasty little bitch, which doesn't make her the best candidate for most careers. but, she's able to blackmail herself into a teaching position at a middle school, which sounds absolutely awful but she needs the money. she can't live a mordred anymore, she will lose her mind.
but, it turns out that she's actually good at teaching kids? and she'd never admit it to anybody, but she actually enjoys it?? and she's confused until she remembers-- five year old adaine sprawled across a chair as aelwyn teaches her verb conjugations and spelling conventions, both of them annoyed out of their minds at the other, but happy at the other's presence. and, honestly? it's one of the best memories she has of their childhood.
so maybe aelwyn can get used to this whole teaching thing.

Ah I remember my question now!! Since Ezra is a growing boy, how does that impact his prosthetic use? I'm assuming they can't just go get him refitted like normal... do they help him resize? Do they build new parts? Or help him find some?
Hiii!! :D) So I doodled out my thoughts as I pondered this question but my handwriting is ass so⌠Iâm also gonna write a little summary too!
Ezra's first Prosthetic was given to him by the same people who performed the amputation on his leg in the first place. Some concerned Lothali citizens who couldn't bare to watch him hop around on his severely infected leg any longer. 12 year old Ezra was pretty pissed about it though (understandably). It didn't help that his first prosthetic was old as balls and awful to walk on.
Thankfully, using bits n bobs he'd collected out on the streets, Ezra was able to tighten the loose hinges at the joints and modify the top to fit better. Alas, he ended up loosing this leg after bopping Kallus over the head with it pretty early on into joining the spectres.
Hera set him up with a pair of crutches and then devoted herself to finding him a replacement. She was determined to find something that was better than his last prosthetic and thought she'd struck gold when she figured out Vizago had one sitting in storage. She haggled hard but eventually managed to pocket the rarity, and delivered it back to Ezra. Sabine helped modify it fit to properly, and to Ezra's delight he discovered that the hinges on this leg were motion activated, and could pack an even better punch (or kick) than his previous one.

Ezra hadn't really manage to curb his habit of using his leg as a weapon on occasion, and during such an incident ended up losing leg 2 (much to Hera's despair). Thankfully, Sabine had helped Ezra do enough maintenance on his last two legs that she was confident she could fix up some similar prototypes using her engineering skills. The spectres all contributed to a scrap box that would be used to build replacement legs whenever Ezra ended up losing or outgrowing one. All of them were very dedicated to scouting out parts for him and happy to help with maintenance.
At some point the rebellion had gotten large enough to start having a more organised healthcare system, and Ezra was offered a spot on the surgery waitlist for cybernetics. Ezra was initially hesitant, however, post the incident on Malachor he eventually agreed.

The cybernetic, although not the most advanced for it's time, is connected to his nerves giving him full mobility over the prosthetic. However, it came with it's own new quirks that took some getting used to. Detaching and Reattaching the cybernetic takes between 2-5 minutes to do, and often requires tools to help, rendering it no longer an option as a spontaneous mid battle weapon. As a result there was no longer need for him to cut holes in the left leg of his trousers either.
Ezra doesn't sleep with the cybernetic (same as one wouldn't with a prosthetic) cause it would be hella uncomfortable. On lazy days, he often goes without it, opting to use crutches around base instead. The cybernetic is waterproof, however, in both snow and sand it can sometimes become clogged and stiff, and may need extra maintenance after the mission is complete. The ghost crew is always willing to help pitch in with their engineering expertise (mainly Hera, Sabine and Chopper) or spare part gathering.
Anywho,,, yeah. I hope that sort of answers that question?? I'm not 100% familiar with how prosthetics and cybernetics work in the Star Wars universe so forgive me if some of this info doesn't check out. ( also if u see a spelling mistake,,, no u don't)

How the Cullens would react to you being a newborn
*Note* This is my first ever post please be nice :(
Edward:
Super supportive
Is so so patient
Will teach you everything he knows about self control and how to best curb your hunger
Will go hunting with you every day if that's what you want
He doesn't care if you're dangerous he wants a hug so he's getting a hug
Protective x100
If Jasper still has trouble trusting you after you've mostly gotten yourself under control he will be right there telling him to back off
10/10 would let him turn me into a newborn
Alice:
Again, supportive x100
She deals with Jasper on the daily, she knows how to help with cravings and sporadic behavior
Can easily stop you from things you shouldn't do because she can see them in the future
Would go hunting with you
Would lose her patience after a while if you keep tearing the clothes she buys you tho
(Not actually she'd just be a little frustrated :) )
Would also come to your defense if Jasper or anyone else doubts that you have yourself under control
"I can literally see the future it's fine-"
Jasper:
The worst of them all probably-
He's very tough to get to in the first place
He has a dark past, most of his trauma is from Newborns
He doesn't trust you for a really long time
Super skeptical, will follow your every move ready to hold you down
He's just trying to protect his family tho
You're gonna have to be on your best behavior if you ever want him to trust you again
He'll come around eventually though with the help of his family to show him that you're adjusting well
After he's certain you're no longer a threat he will feel so bad
Cuddles x100
He's just a big softie who loves his family behind those scary eyes
Rosalie:
Ok I lied she might be the worst actually-
If you did this to yourself or had another one of the Cullens turn you chances are she's never gonna talk to you again (sorry)
I mean we all know that she hated Bella's guts until she got pregnant with Renesmee
But if you got turned by accident or by a rogue vampire attack?
Supportive x200
Mama Bear mode activated fr
She remembers what it was like all too well
The pain, the confusion, the anger, the hatred
You couldn't do a single thing wrong in her eyes
You accidentally attacked a hiker? It happens to the best of us
You broke one of the super expensive cars by closing the door too hard? It's ok Carlisle can buy a new one
Can and will defend you if anyone says you're not ready yet
Emmett:
Kinda chill tbh
Obviously since he's the strongest he's with you most of the time to hold you back if need-be
But he's more interested in making bets against anyone who will bet with him
"I smell an elk up ahead, I bet I'll get to it before they can"
"I bet I'll win in an arm wrestling contest"
"I bet they'll scream at Edward for playing that piano too loud"
Mostly is just a good supporter
He's really observant though and is a good judge on if you're ready to be alone yet or not
Esme:
Supportive x100
She hates seeing anyone in pain and you are no exception
Will give you all the tips and tricks she can think of
How to control your cravings, the best animals to hunt, the best places to go to just scream and let it all out
She's got you covered
Wouldn't be that strong of an advocate towards you being ready tho-
She acknowledges that she is not very well versed in this field and will accept Carlisle's or Jasper's judgements very seriously
She will do her best to help you though
Carlisle:
The man for the job fr
He has raised four different newborns that he created mostly all by himself
He knows exactly what to do
How to best help you, how to make sure you feel the least pain possible, how to speed up your process
Literally anything
He's very open to answer any questions you have
If you were dying and he did this to save you he'd be perfectly okay with you wanting nothing to do with him
He understands
It will take a while to fully convince him that you are in control of your urges, but one he's convinced he is on your side 100%
Vampire! Bella:
Definitely the most sympathetic
She was the most recent change, she remembers it the most
Even though she did have her self-control on her side, she still remembers how difficult it was
Will stand by your side no matter what
She's not scared of you or what you could do
To her you're still you
Will do her best to help you with anything you need
Does her best to help give you distractions if there are people nearby
Once she believes you're ready, she will not take no for an answer
She's stubborn
Very good support tho 10/10

Ok, thank you for your comments :) @gravitygemjj , and I will try to answer it in the post, because you have really touched on many interesting topics.
The first is evidence of what LB said :)
Apart from her words, I am not saying that Sasha is ONLY a good character, no, I realize that he can do bad things, but, it is important to remember that Aleksander is a character whose moral complexity makes it difficult to assign him a clear label of "bad" or "good". It is this inability to simplify his motivations, actions and emotions that makes him the perfect example of a morally grey hero. Not because he balances between good and evil in a random way, but because his decisions grow out of specific experiences, traumas and calculations, and not from pure lust for power or idealism detached from reality. Aleksander is someone who has observed for centuries a world full of violence, betrayal and systematic cruelty towards the Grisha â people he not only understood, but also protected, because he was one of them. His actions are not motivated by a selfish desire for domination, but by a deeply rooted belief that only force â real, sometimes ruthless â can ensure the survival of his people. From this perspective, he can be seen as someone who makes difficult decisions where others do not dare to even look in their direction, such as Alina or Nikolai.
What makes him human is the fact that despite this armed calculation, he still carries deep emotions. Love, longing, fear of loneliness, and above all, enormous fatigue, not only physical but also moral. He is not a monster devoid of feelings, but a man who knows that hope often loses to the brutality of the world. And yet he tried to protect it â first for the Grisha, later for Alina.
You also have to remember that his moral greyness does not result from a lack of principles, but from their reinterpretation in a context where the classic concepts of good and evil are insufficient. In a world where "good" is often passive and "evil" acts with impunity, Sasha chooses action. Sometimes brutal, sometimes on the verge of what you might consider ethical, but always laced with something more than ambition - a sense of responsibility and a desire for justice. He is not a flawless hero, I never wrote that, nor an antihero who glorifies evil - this is also very important in understanding him. He is a man who understood that sometimes there are no good solutions, only those that will bring the least suffering - here, for example, Genya. And if he had to pay for them with his own humanity, he was willing to do it. That is why, paradoxically, in this mixture of light and shadow, Aleksander is a character not only morally grey, but also morally honest - towards himself, his beliefs and what he loved. He doesn't hide behind beautiful slogans about peace, brotherhood and that now we have to bury old quarrels and move forward, no, he knows that this is an illusion and painfully stupid, youthful ideals that have no support in such a terrible world in which they live. Leigh knows this, which is why I'm also posting screenshots of her statements. She also doesn't see him as only good or only bad, and this automatically falls into the category of morally grey. Additionally, as you will notice on one of the screenshots, she clearly said that she justifies Sasha more than Kaz, who is motivated only by revenge.

Another thing is persecution.
Your claim that "the Grisha weren't treated that badly in Ravka" may seem normal at first glance, but in reality, with those words you've shown in a very dangerous way the frequent trivialization of persecution in this fandom. You've suggested that there is a scale of suffering where, as long as people aren't actively being hunted or murdered in the streets every day, at every moment, we can somehow ignore their pain. This kind of reasoning has been used many times in our world to justify injustice, to remain silent, to deflect, and to justify a superior thesis.
But unfortunately, things are different, the Grisha were not free in Ravka. They were not safe either. And they were not seen as people in their own country, even by people who claimed to be their defenders.
Yes, maybe they weren't burned at the stake in Ravka like in Fjerda. But that doesn't mean they were treated with dignity. They were the property of the crownâthe Lanstov dynasty. They were soldiers, weapons, tools to be used and discarded. The Second Army was not created to worship Grishaâs powerâit was created to control it. They were tolerated only because they were useful. And the moment they stepped outside the box or became inconvenient, they could be betrayed, a nearly cyclical occurrence throughout the hundreds of years of Sashaâs life and even before his. Even their status couldnât protect them from being handed over to enemies or captured and sold into slavery while traveling the borderlands of their own country. And what about fear? The constant fear that your power, your existence, made you something to be hated, experimented on, hunted? Shu Han kidnapped Grisha for experiments that defy all morality. Fjerda killed them as if they were witches or monsters. Even in Ravka, they were treated with suspicion and contempt. And only because of Sasha did they have some minimal rights. But beyond that? No right to live on your own terms. They were kept apart, trained from childhood, and told who they could be.
Isnât that violence too?
Because violence isnât always loud. Itâs not always blood on the pavement. Sometimes itâs quiet. Sometimes it looks like⌠a uniform, not chains. Sometimes itâs being watched, judged, hated â without being given the chance to just be. Sometimes itâs the knowledge that even people who claim to care about justice will never understand the cost of your survival.
Now imagine telling someone in that situation, âBut look, itâs not as bad as it was over there, they hate you here and someone might kill you someday, but at least theyâre not burning you at the stake.â
You know thatâs pretty much what people said to Jews in pre-war Europe, before the genocide became impossible to ignore. Itâs the same thing people say to LGBTQ+ communities now â âyou have some rights now, donât complain, what more do you want?â This was whispered in countries like Poland, my own country, where my fellow countrymen were treated like second-class citizens until 1989! Where people were expected to quietly endure systemic erasure because, well, they were no longer actively being murdered. It wasnât Katyn being done to us every day, but people who demanded their rights were actively suppressed by the communist authorities.
I have to admit that this hit me hard and you have to remember that freedom is not just the absence of death. It is the presence of dignity. Equality. The right to exist without fear. And the Grisha didnât even have that in Ravka! They were exploited, sacrificed and forgotten unless someone like Aleksander fought for them. Why? Because Aleksander saw the truth. Not the convenient version, but the real truth. He knew that the Grisha didnât just need protection. They needed power. They needed autonomy. And yes, he made mistakes, terrible mistakes. But he did what no one else had the courage to do: he looked at what the world was doing to his people and said nothing more. And those who judged him, like Alina, Nikolai, the nobility, never once lived in the same fear that he did. Never once did they feel hunted, trapped, broken. They benefited from the systems he tried to dismantle, even as they condemned him for the way he fought them. So no, we can't write things like "things were better here than there." Because that's the language of people who have never lived in fear. That's the voice of privilege, comfort, or ignorance. If someone lives like a weapon, not a person, then their suffering can't be measured in degrees. And if we're going to talk about it, we have to talk about it honestly and empathetically. Nothing less.
Collar âYour claim that Aleksander putting the collar on Alina is the same as the other Grisha who were enslaved or used as tools is a deeply flawed comparison, and one that completely ignores the circumstances, urgency, and stakes of what was happening at the time. The collar was not an act of cruelty. It was an act of desperation. A calculated decision made in the face of imminent doom. You forget that at that moment Alina did not fully understand the reality she was entering. She believed that destroying the Fold would solve everything, that peace would magically come, that the armies would lay down their weapons, and everyone would unite and say, "Well, we are friends now." But that was a naive claim from someone who does not know reality, and it shows that he is not fit to be a leader. It was a fantasy born of youth, of idealism, not strategy. Aleksander knew the truth. He knew that Zlatan, DrĂźskelle, and the Fjerdan army werenât just going to politely back down. He knew they were planning an ambush, not just to kill Alina, but to slaughter every Grisha and tear Ravka apart. If Aleksander didnât intervene, there would be no Ravka left to save. Fold would be gone, yesâbut so would every Grisha who stood next to her. As would every civilian who got in the way of this war. The country would fall to pieces. Because do you think Zlatan and Fjerda would look at who stood in their way? War destroys everything.
When a nation falls, itâs never just the soldiers who die. Itâs the children. The families. The common folk, taken prisoner, executed, wiped off the map. It wasnât just power at stake. It was survival, for Grisha and Ravkan alike. Sasha didn't have the luxury of choosing between good and evil, he only had the choice of the greater or lesser evil. He chose the lesser. The destruction of Novokrybirsk may seem cruel to you, but if it hadn't happened, many more people would have died, hundreds of thousands, maybe even more. So no, it wasn't the same as enslaving Alina. She hadn't been turned into a living weapon to serve someone's ego or greed. She was a Sun Summoner. She had the power to tip the scales between life and death for thousands of people. Aleksander wasn't controlling her for personal gain, he had to use her power, immediately, because there was no time left to convince her, to hope she would see what he saw.
You can say it was wrong. You can say it was harsh. But call it cruel? To compare it to the systematic abuse and dehumanization of the Grisha in other nations is not only wrong, it is unfair. He was trying to stop that exact fate.
If he hadn't acted, the Fold would have disappeared and blood would have taken its place. Death. Subordination. The complete extinction of the Grisha. He hadn't put that collar on Alina because he saw something in her. He had done it because she didn't yet understand what the world really was and there was no time for her to learn it the hard way. So no, it wasn't kindness. But it wasn't evil either. It was a burden that only someone like Aleksander could bear. And it saved lives, though no one would thank him for it.
Genia - The reason the Darkling punished her is actually quite simple. In the context of Ravka's political and military structure largely based on tsarist and early imperial Russia of the 17th and 18th centuries, desertion was considered one of the most serious crimes. Even in the 20th century, during World War II, countries including Russia introduced extreme consequences for treason or abandonment of duty.
Genya not only abandoned her position, but actively turned against the Second Army, siding with those who worked directly against the survival of Grisha and Ravka. This was a betrayal at a time when unity and loyalty were matters of life and death. Aleksander, as a commander and defender of a persecuted people, made a decision in line with the strict discipline common to his role and the era that inspired the world of Ravka. Furthermore, as you well know, Genya began shooting Sasha at some point, so his Nichevo'ya, bound to him by merzost, saw Genya as a threat, and their instinct was to protect himânot out of loyalty, but out of self-preservation. If the host died, so did they. Even if Aleksander tried to stop them, their goal would remain the same: eliminate any threat to their existence, which meant protecting him at all costs.
Another thing. Before you condemn Aleksander's actions as extremely manipulative, keep in mind that other characters also crossed the line when it came to Alina. For example, Nikolai the "white savior" kissed her without her consent. It was portrayed in a more light-hearted way in the story, but it was still a moment where she was disrespected. On the other hand, Mal repeatedly tried to reduce her to someone she wasn't, he wanted her to remain ordinary, to dim her light, and often treated her more like a servant than a partner. Remember the fact that he wanted her to be his donkey?
So if you're going to hold Aleksander accountable for the power dynamics and choices he made, you have to be just as honest about the flaws of others. The difference is that Aleksander saw Alina as his equal, he didn't want her to be inferior. His actions were flawed, yes, but they were born out of desperation and a deep belief that she was the only person who could truly stand by his side. And that's unfortunately true. Speaking of manipulation, let's also look at how she was manipulated by Baghra, who lied to her about how Fold was created. She never told her the truth. She always convinced her that the only way out was to kill Aleksander (by the way, she's a great mom, right?). Mal was also destroying her from the inside, he didn't want her to be Grisha, he humiliated her every time she felt better. So if you condemn Aleksander's behavior, I assume you condemn them too?
To reduce his motives to a simple lust for power misses the depth and tragedy of his character, because it does not automatically translate into a superiority complex. His belief that the monarchy is unfit to rule was not born of arrogance, but of centuries of watching Grisha being used, betrayed, and abandoned like tools by kings who valued them only as long as it was convenient. He had survived betrayal after betrayal, purges, massacres, and slavery, and the one constant truth he had learned was that no one would protect Grisha unless he did. Was he doing this for himself as well? Of course, it was simple, he was Grisha too. Their fate was his fate. Their pain was his pain. To claim that he âdidnât careâ about harming the innocent suggests that he acted thoughtlessly or cruelly for the sake of cruelty, when in reality every move he made was calculated within the grim logic of war. You talk about expanding the Fold as if it were an act of mindless evil, but what you call cruelty, others might as well call it a last resort. Ravka was falling, the Fjerdans were on the brink of slaughter, and the Lantsovs were playing politics while people like Zlatan were arming foreign soldiers to invade and divide the nation. Aleksander didn't expand the Fold out of bloodlust. He did it because no one else was willing to make the sacrifices needed to actually save Ravka. I've written about this before, so I won't elaborate.
I think you're missing an important distinction here. It's true that Aleksander used the Grisha in war, but the context is very different than how the monarchy treated them. Under the king, the Grisha were reduced to little more than tools - I've already mentioned this - expendable, controlled, and forced to fight without any regard for their well-being or autonomy. They were being used by the monarchy to maintain power, with no recognition of their humanity.
Aleksander, on the other hand, was fighting for the very survival of the Grisha. He saw that their rights and dignity were worth fighting for. This wasnât a simple takeover of power. This was a desperate attempt to protect them, to give them a future beyond being pawns in someone elseâs game. Yes, Aleksander was ruthless at times, and he certainly made decisions that led to suffering. But letâs be honestâwhen the only system in place was one that ruthlessly oppressed your people, wouldnât you take extreme measures if it meant there was a chance to give them a life beyond fear and violence?
The war Aleksander was fighting wasnât just about taking controlâit was about the survival of the Grisha in a world that saw them as inferior, as expendable. This is not an excuse for everything he did, but it is important to understand the difference between using the Grisha as tools in a war that was ultimately about their destruction, and using them in a war that he believed was the only way to ensure their survival.
You also have to understand that this was a civil war, and that like any civil war, there were no easy answers. Aleksanderâs fight wasnât just a fight against foreign invadersâit was a war against the very system that had betrayed him and his people. The king wasnât some benevolent ruler who wanted peace for all; he was a man who continued to exploit the Grisha for his own gain, just as others had done before him. Aleksander was fighting for something else, even if his methods were harsh. So while it may seem like a repeat of the same old cycle to you, Aleksanderâs motives werenât simply power; they were a response to centuries of oppression. The war he was fighting wasnât just about conquest; it was about trying to break free from a system that had never cared about the lives of the Grisha.
The last thing, and the most beautifulââFine. Make me your villainââthose words arenât just an expression of anger or frustration; they reveal the depth of his emotional turmoil and self-awareness. These words come at a crucial moment when he realizes that Alina sees him as a threat, as someone who stands in the way of her ideals. But instead of pushing her away or retaliating in a way that could further alienate her, he accepts the role she has given him, showing an almost tragic level of sensitivity. I can clearly see you flattening out these words, but you have to understand that his willingness to be seen as a villain, even if it means losing her, speaks volumes about his understanding of the world they live in. Aleksander fought for the survival of his people, the Grisha, and yet he knows that in the eyes of others his actions can make him look like a tyrant. This line is his admission that sometimes those who stand up for what they believe in, who fight for change, are often labeled villains by those who cannot understand their motives. It is his acceptance of that labelâthe realization that in order to protect the future he envisions, he may have to bear the burden of being... misunderstood. I think in many ways this moment highlights his tragic nature. He doesn't want to be a villain. He doesn't enjoy the pain he causes. But his sense of responsibility, his desire to protect his people, and his fear of losing the one person who understands him drive him to take actions that make him seem monstrous. But for Aleksander, it's not about being a villain; it's about doing whatever it takes, even if it means sacrificing his image and being left alone in the end. It's an overall incredibly complex and human moment, showing that his fight was never about power for power's sake, that it was about survival, love, and the desperate hope that Alina would one day see more than what was on the surface. That's why Aleksander is such a beautiful character and the best in the Grishaverse.

In all my teen wolf fics, I ALWAYS make Derek 19 in s1. There are multiple reasons why. One, I can't justify his weird antisocial stalker behavior otherwise, two, it makes more sense narratively, and three, I don't feel comfortable with Sterek if there's a larger age gap.
A 19 year old Derek being fucking scared out of his mind and struggling with the loss of his sister, but desperately trying to play it cool and aloof while having no idea how to actually talk to people is something I can completely understand. Like, yes, he's absolutely a creepy stalker at times, but he genuinely has good intentions, (and, in my fics, he's a stupid teenager too) He can be rude and insulting, and threatens Stiles and Scott multiple times, but that doesn't change the fact he doesn't want Stiles and Scott to actually get hurt. Derek's still actively protecting them, despite all the honestly kinda terrible things they say and do to him (mostly s1, it's a shit show, so I don't hold it against any of them too much, and I don't blame Stiles and Scott for being harsh at times, they were scared and didn't know Derek at all, I'd be scared too)
I think Derek's a little less mature due to his trauma, honestly. For starters, he was hiding in new York for 5-6 years with just his sister, and it seems like that's the extent of the social interaction he got. He never really had to learn how to talk to humans, since he just had his family of werewolves, who are experts at reading people and especially each other (being able to smell feelings and all) so yeah, of course Derek has no clue how to actually talk to Stiles and Scott. Secondly, he blames himself for the fire (and pretty much everything else, from what I remember) that would absolutely fuck you up, thinking you're responsible for your whole family's deaths. His anchor is literally anger, he's constantly punishing himself. Like, no wonder he's such an asshole. Thirdly, he has no trust in humans whatsoever (and I don't blame him) so yeah, he gave Stiles and Scott extremely vague answers and wouldn't elaborate on anything, because the last time he was open with a human, his entire family died. It's obvious in the way he talks to Scott about Allison. Like, when Scott says, "She doesn't know anything!" Derek replies, "What if she does?" And then later on, Derek yells at him, saying, "You're 16! You're not in love!"
I didn't even notice it till my most recent rewatch. He's so harsh about it because he lost everything to an Argent, because he thought he was in love, and doesn't want the same to happen to Scott (and Derek believes that humans, especially hunters, aren't safe. He doesn't want Scott to get hurt, and doesn't want to get hurt again himself)
And, alternatively, I think Stiles is more mature due to his trauma. Despite losing everything, Derek could still rely on his sister, while Stiles didn't have anyone, really. From what I remember, it really sounded like he was the one trying to take care of his dad, who was usually busy, and when he wasn't, had a drinking problem. He had to grow up fast, and yes, I know he doesn't always act like that, but we all know he just uses humor as a coping mechanism, and to prevent people from seeing how he's actually feeling.
He's dramatic and sarcastic, but he's also the one who immediately accepts Scott's a werewolf and spends all night researching it, he takes care of Scott and sticks by his best friend even when Scott tries to murder him, the few times he lost control. He tries to take care of everyone, honestly, and sure, he's an asshole about it, sometimes, but he's still there. He might be bitching about it the whole time, but, for example, in Magic Bullet(S1ep4) despite barely knowing Derek and being outright scared of him, Stiles never abandoned him.
Plus, at the end of the season, Stiles defends Derek! He snaps at Chris, who is threatening him verbally and physically. Like, he so clearly allies himself with werewolves as whole, not just Scott, even when ppl are threatening him, and he continues to do so, he never ONCE throws Derek under the bus (after he corroborates Scott's lie about Derek being the murderer) and like, that's kind of everything. Especially to someone who lost everything at the hands of an untrustworthy human, I imagine.
And, I mean, both Stiles and Derek make threats, but they rarely actually mean it. Stiles had no intentions of dumping Derek on the side of the road, and Derek had no intentions of actually killing Stiles or Scott.
The fact that Derek still tries to help Scott, after Scott accuses him of murdering multiple people and puts him on the run again, is proof of that, in my opinion.
Now, for Sterek, a 3-4 year age gap doesn't really bother me, but anything larger than that, when Stiles is still a teenager, is just too much. But, for Stiles and Derek specifically, I think 3-4 yrs is totally reasonable. See, the thing is, one of the main problems with most age gap relationships is that the older one has more life experience, but in this case, I'd argue Derek doesn't have much more life experience than Stiles does.
Derek's life was essentially put on hold for 5-6 years after the fire, he never had the chance to be a normal teenager, after that. Stiles might be younger, but both of them have lost people, they know what that kind of grief feels like, and I don't think there'd be any sort of power imbalance between them. They're equals. Stiles has no problem talking back to Derek and speaking his mind, and vice versa. I don't think Stiles was ever scared of Derek because he's a werewolf, I think he was scared because they thought Derek murdered someone. So, like, that's not a point of tension between them, it's not like Stiles (later on) is actually worried Derek will hurt him, and Derek (later on) trusts Stiles not to betray him or their pack.
It makes sense why they disliked each other at first, there were plenty of reasons to. Derek didn't trust Stiles because human=unsafe and Stiles was, admittedly, an asshole, and Stiles didn't like Derek because he was a weird stalker who he thought hurt his best friend.
But once they get past those things, I can totally see them being close friends, and more. Sure, there's plenty of things they disagree on, but they're also similar in a lot of ways, too. Like, this isn't an opposites attract situation (which I do love) because they're not opposites, even if it looks that way sometimes.
They both care way more than they let on, they both build walls and keep their friends out, they're both pretty jaded when it comes to trusting others (moreso later on, for Stiles) but help regardless. Oh, and they both blame themselves for shit that isn't their fault and take on huge amounts of responsibility even though they don't have to. I also think they're both nerds and probably have a good few shared interests. They'll argue on methodology but they value the same core things. Like, Loyalty? SO important, to both of them, same with trust. Plus, I think Derek's dry and blunt humor, and Stiles' sharpness and sarcasm, is a lovely combination.
So, in conclusion, I love them together and separately and think they're more compatible than they seem on the outside.
It's funny cuz I just made a post about how half the time I feel meh about Sterek, and then I get super carried away and rant about them for multiple paragraphs lmao. Basically I saw some character analysis posts (I adore everyone who makes those, btw, y'all are awesome!) and it revived my love for them.
(Again, if anyone disagrees with me or has anything to add, that's completely valid, this is just the way I interpret their characters, and I love hearing other ppl's thoughts!)

The selfish assholery of The Hundred Line cast is becoming too much.
I've been too forgiving. Waiting for the other shoe to drop, trying to look past various incidents as I churn my way through the plot of The Hundred Line. But it's been scratching at the edges of my brain... the way four new characters entered the plot and then immediately betrayed Takumi, stemming from a series of incidents that I managed to mostly blame on Kurara's extreme selfishness and abuse.
Finally, last night? I reached a point where I couldn't deny it anymore: I hate most of these people. And as a result? This game is losing me during my very first 100 days.
Frankly, I'm starting to have doubts I can even complete the first 100 days. Because why would I choose to spend that much time with these people... ?
Actually? Kind of thinking about letting you all die.
I don't WANT to give up on the game. Obviously, I've adored Kazutaka Kodaka's work up until now. I've clearly DEEPLY loved all of Kodaka's work within Danganronpa. Even when he didn't script most of it himself and just provided the plot/characters (Danganronpa 3), I loved it. Stuff like Akudama Drive, which, where Kodaka's involvement uh... existed but was poorly defined? Still really liked it! Death Come True? Yup, I was into it! And I also loved Master Detective Archives: Rain Code.
But The Hundred Line cast has a unique-to-them problem that is constantly recurring: The cast of The Hundred Line people are largely willing to fight and die to protect a building for incredibly dubious reasons, but they are utterly UNwilling to ever stand up to their peers no matter how horrific their behavior. They are brave in physical combat, but utter cowards in their daily lives. Torturing some of the cast by starving them for DAYS? Literally abusing your own sister? You can count on this crew to sit by and let it all happenâand maybe even actively enable it! Because they suck.
Remember when Shuichi told off Kokichi at the end of V3's fourth trial? Or when a few members of the DR2 cast jumped and tied up Komaeda in Chapter 2 after he attempted to commit a murder in Chapter 1? The Hundred Line crew would never do any of that. They would let Kokichi walk all over them, would let Komaeda attempt murder DAILY if he wanted to, and would sit there the entire time going "But that's notâ" before cutting themselves off and refusing to argue farther because it seems kind of haaaaaard.
I'm going to have to spoil the first 54 days or so of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy to really outline multiple examples, but... yeah. Let's get into how much these people suck ass.
Example 1: Hiruko Shizuhara â Near the story's start, Hiruko doesn't like that some of the group aren't aren't actively choosing to engage in combat (that they don't understand, to defend something they don't understand, for reasons they don't understand). We'll eventually learn that she has more intel on why this fight needs to happen and what's at stake, but she's been refusing to share it because... because... well, because she's an asshole. And that's fine! Every Danganronpa game has at least one blatant asshole among the cast who serves as a major antagonist despite not being THE main villain. A snotty asshole like Hiruko can serve valuable story purposes. But when she decides she's going to try to force the others to fight by starving them â literally denying them any food whatsoever â do we see Takumi or Yakemaru or Darumi stand up to Hiruko at all? NO! Do we see them try to sneak food to the starving classmates? NOânot until DAYS later, when they think they can use food as a form of leverage, that is. And that comes after Hiruko announces she's going to kick out all the non-combatants so they can fucking die to the invaders. At least Yakemaru gets really pissed about this, though all he does about it is... punch himself in the face to deal with his own anger. But does our main protagonist, Takumi, confront Hiruko and argue against her about this planned act of murder? FUCK NO!
Ultimately, I think we're supposed to forgive this becuse we later learn in a private conversation that Hiruko didn't REALLY mean it, despite the fact that everyone completely believed her without question. Because she sure as shit comes off as serious and dead-set on it with no room for any interpretation before that. (This seems like the latest in a misguided trend over the last decade of fiction where a military leader sometimes will withhold extremely need-to-know information from their troops for no reason, and we the audience are supposed to believe this is a good idea; ask any fucking ACTUAL military leader about that, and they will tell you that an informed squad = motivation and morale. Lack of communication = killing your motivation and morale. Happy to share tons of editorials to this effect. Or just Google it.) Anyone in the cast would be 100% justified in imprisoning and/or killing her to stop her at this point, but not even our main "hero" can bring himself to so much as ARGUE with her. Everyone is just too weak-willed to stand up against the starvation torture of the others. Because that's DEFINITELY the best way to get people invested in your war instead of just telling them the truth, right... ?
Example 2: The Second-to-Last Defense Academy members (and Kurura Oosuzuki specifically) â Takumi meets the four remaining members of the Second-to-Last Defense Academy while alone. He soon opts to join them in combat as they defend their school... but in the end, they must flee to the primary Last Defense Academy and meet up with the others. Once there, the four members of the Second-to-Last Defense Academy are disappointed to learn that the "main campus" crew is not nearly as dedicated to this fight as THEY are. This is pretty quickly revealed to be the cast because the Second-to-Last Defense Academy students have more context and intel on why this war is happening and why the fight is necessary. However, Kurura soon sets about insulting everyone she sees, especially trashing Gaku for daring to grow up poor and then starting to physically beat him for arguing against her rich ass.
This shutdown comes quickly on the heels of Tsubasa being like "Can you blame us for having questions after we got dragged into this war?"a and Takemaru asking the Second-to-Lasters if they're going to keep throwing around the term "World Death" or are they going to explain explain what that is. Both of which were entirely reasonble questions/reactions.
This culminates with her deciding that... (a) nah, she's NOT going to share why the world is in danger from the invaders with the main campus squad. Because the Second-to-Last Defense Academy students are SO FUCKING DEDICATED to the war, you see, that they... would rather make sure that nobody else has ANY reason to join the fight, actively hindering the fucking war effort they claim to be devoted to out of... I guess, purely out of classist spite??? You can and should blame ALL of them for this because the other three students from the Second-to-Last Defense Academy all decide they MUST obey Kurura (who is not even their leader in ANY sense) and agree to NOT share the information about the war. In fact, Nozomi goes so far as to privately arrange for the groups to use the cafeteria separately so they will never interact. And during this time, with Kurura nowhere around? She still refuses to give any information about the war or why anyone should be fighting, because she is Part Of The Problem. Oh, and (b) soon enough, an incident with her homemade curry being eaten results in Kurura challenging a (non-combatant!!!!) member of the "main campus" squad to a one-on-one fight. At which point she declares everyone from the main campus must do ANYTHING SHE FUCKING ORDERS THEM TO DO as punishment. And again: EVERYONE FROM HER TEAM AGREES WITH THIS AND DOES NOT ARGUE HER DOWN. They are either too cowardly and/or utterly complicit in her bullshit. And her threats are far from idle ones, either: In the coming days, we can repeatedly encounter these characters in the halls where they can tease us with all the horrific punishments they have in store for us. The only person who doesn't treat us with hatred and mockery is Nozomiâshe just treats us with fear and disgust instead. And THAT'S because Kurura caps all this off by (c) convincing Nozomi and Kyoshika â the two other female members of her team â that the main protag, Takumi, wishes to drug and rape Nozomi. Despite the fact that Takumi has literally fought and bled alongside them on the battlefield AND now brought them back to his own campus to protec them Nozomi and Kyoshika COMPLETELY BUY INTO THIS and now are filled with nothing but disdain towards Takumi.
(....oh, and along the way, Shouma tries to reveal some more info about how they got there, more background on the mystery of how they were recruited. This enrages Kurura even more because she says it "DOES! NOT! MATTER! You've been given a mission, why can't you just do it?!" In case you had any doubt that she is 100% devoted to being enslaved without logic or reason.)
Any one of these acts alone would be justification for the main campus crew to say "You're not fucking welcome here anymore unless you stop this shit." But of course, no one stands up to them and tells them to fuck off... they're all just too damned cowardly for that. But again, I think they want us to shrug this off simply because it works out retroactively. But it must be noted that the fact that this DOES work out is a complete fucking MIRACLE, and I will never forgive Kurura for (a), (b), OR (c). The fact that she is apparently "not really like that" when she takes off the mask is not remotely an excuse. She's acting this way by choice; ergo, she is ABSOLUTELY "like that." I will also not be forgiving Kyoshika, Yugamu, and Nozomi for being complicit in Kurura's bullshit.
But I'll give them this much: It makes some sense that Takumi is unwilling to stand up against the group because Nozomi bears strong-but-vague connections to his beloved Karua. From a characterization POV, it makes sense that he'd be hesitant to do any further damage to his relationship with the Second-to-Lasters just because he wants to close that distance so very badly.
Example 3: Ima and Kako (a.k.a. the last straw) - It's been obvious from pretty early on that Kako isn't really very keen on how her brother treats her. He acts like he has some incestuous sister complex, and she's clearly extremely uncomfortable with it. And as the story progresses, it also becomes evident that she wants to join the others in defending the school. By Day 53? Kako finally stands up to Ima as best she can. She finally speaks up.
....holy SHIT. The abject fear on Kako's face speaks volumes.
At this point, Ima grabs Kako and literally starts to DRAG her out of the room. Only Takemaru steps forward to block their exit, telling Ima "If you really love your sister, shouldn't you respect her opinion more?!" Which is... an awfully calm way to confront him. But Ima's response is...
...to stab Takemaru for daring to interfere. Holy. Fuck.
Major props to Takemaru for being the ONLY person to try and stop sibling abuse. I also won't hold it against Shouma â I know he wouldn't have it in him to stand in the way of this conflict. I get that. But everybody else in the room? You're ALL on thin ice right now.
This happens at breakfast. Afterwards, Takumi, Eito, Gaku, and Yugamu help patch Takemaru up and take him back to his room, putting him to bed to let him heal. After this, it's suddenly "too late" to do anything else, according to Takumi. He just goes to bed. Ima escapes the cafeteria after the stabbing and drags Kako back to his room. Takumi just says to "worry about them later." YEAH, never mind that Kako is undoubtedly being abused as we speak. Never mind that you decided it's more important to get your beauty sleep than to stop her brother from mentally and almost-definitely-physically tormenting her.
The next morning, Ima comes by Takumi's room. He wants Takumi to convince Kako to stop trying to fight and do what her brother says â and in return, Ima will fight in her place against the invaders. Wow, what an utterly shit deal you've offered me! I get the promise of help from the guy who just STABBED someone for daring to try to stop your abuse! And in return, all I have to do is crush the spirit of your abuse victim!
Sadly, this is a false choice. It's a But Thou Must. No matter how many times I clicked "No" (because "HELL FUCKING NO" was not given as an option), the game simply refuses to move forward until you agree.
I almost quit the game permanently right here. I had to pause and gather myself. I don't like being railroaded into being a horrible human being. When I played the demo for the OG release of Ninja Gaiden 3 on the PS3, and I got to that part where the unarmed guy is pleading for his life and telling you about his family and the game only lets you progress if you brutally kill him? Yeah, I just shut the demo off. And as far as I'm concerned? I beat the game with the only good ending. I won.
In the aftermath of this sequence in The Hundred Line, the good news is that Takumi utterly fails to convince Kako to back down. The bad news is that Takumi winds up convincing her that her brother's "protection" is a beautiful love that she should be grateful for. So now she wants to fight to protect HIM because of how much she APPRECIATES her brother. Wow, Takumi! What masterful work at enabling and abetting years of abuse! You absolute fucking prick.
And making the player character this dispicable really BROKE something in me. You see the issue here. Example #3 is certainly the greatest sin, but all of this has been building.
Kodaka has spoken about how excitedly he wrote the script for this game. It seems like Kodaka was so rapidly writing conflict, so excited to add all this drama, that he didn't stop to think how it reflected on the characters or whether it made logical sense. The answer is that it doesn't make senseâat least not for any decent human beings to act like this. The only logical conclusion is that the characters? Are some MAJOR assholes.

Councilors vs Chem-Barons
Remember that creators wanted to "show there is merits and flaws on both sides"? While I still feel that agenda in the first season, the second season is... well.
The easiest way to see that creators wanted you to be more sympathetic to Piltover is to look at the rulers of both cities. The Council is flawed but mostly fine, while Chem-Barons are purely bad.
You can protest that 'wait, but in s1 we saw that the Council is corrupted' and... i agree with that. But let's take a closer look at all members with information from both s1 and s2, hmm?
Torman Hoskel was portrayed as silly and easily manipulated person. He is the worst among them.
Salo makes the same appearance as Hoskel in s1. But in s2 he becomes disabled. This is the easiest way to manipulate you into sympathizing him. Of course, this wouldn't change your view of him completely, since his personality remained the same, but you can understand his anger (his suffering is shown on the screen). Besides, later when Viktor heals his legs, Salo changes, losing his arrogance and becoming a good person.
Irius Bolbok is strict, composed and slightly harsh ruler (remember him saying to find the culprit no matter what). But he isn't shown as bad as Hoskel and Salo in s1. He is quite decent.
Shoola was portrayed as reasanable ruler from very beginning. She was the first who said "They [zaunites] may not be your preferred consituents but they're still our people." She was the first after Mel who voted for Zaun's independance. In s2, we see how she cares about people rather than acting in the interests of revenge like Salo.
Cassandra Kiramman was also showed as good person even in s1. She might not be active Zaun's simpathizer but she did schedule an audience for Caitlyn and Vi giving them a chance to change Councilors opinion about Zaun (ofc it's bc Cait is her daughter but Cassandra could just deny her). Also in s2 we learn that she built a ventilation system which makes her the only Councilor (beside Jayce) who actually did something for Zaun.
Mel Medarda is shown as a woman who does things for her own benefit, manipulating others. But she still did vote for the independence of Zaun (albeit for personal reasons). You also can't say that she's a bad person or that she's done really bad things for her cause (like Silco for example).
Jayce is a bad politician and has made few mistakes, but at the end of the day, he is a good man.
Heimerdinger is portrayed as good person as well.
Even though we know that all of them are corrupt (except Heimer) and that they have ignored Zaun for decades, only one of them has no good traits and completely unlikable (Hoskel).
But what do we have with Chem-Barons?
Finn is an idiot and power-hungry.
Rennie is too. She lost her son, which to some extent makes you understand her attacks on memorial (not justify, just understand), but the show itself does not even focus on this fact, ignoring that little nuance.
Chross's goons force children to work in the mines. He also fights for Silco's chair to gain more power.
Smeech's business is connected to shimmer (i guess he provides it after Silco's death?). Only, unlike Silco, Smeech isn't shown as someone who uses shimmer simply as a tool to achieve a higher goal (nation of Zaun). He is just power-hungry like others. Also s2 shows that he doesn't value his own people.
Margot is unloyal as well. "I'd rather favor my chances with Topside". She fights for power like others.
Silco is the only one who commits bad deeds for a higher purpose. All he wants is an independent Zaun, not power itself. We see his positive traits such as dedication to his city, love for Jinx and others, which makes him the only really likable among other Chem-Barons.
Of course the government doesn't represent people themselves. We saw that there are good people in Zaun and there are bad people in Piltover. But you know what it does represent? Creators' true view of Piltover/Zaun conflict.
Despite everything Piltover was ready to grant Zaun independence. The Council was shown flawed but the characters themselves were not completely bad persons. You, as a viewer, can understand and sympathize them. Creators made sure you will sympathize them.
But Zaun? Bandits and criminals who don't think beyond their pockets. The only person who did and tried to do something good for Zaun was wrong, bc s2 promotes us "violence is not the answer" and "power of forgiveness" agenda.
So where are the "merits and flaws on both sides" again?
#sometimes i will write a short analysis but not today#also don't tell me âbut The Councilors are opressors"#i know that but this 'little nuance' was brushed aside and wasn't properly addressed in s2#arcane#arcane s2#arcane critical#zaun#piltover#zaun/piltover

Couples of Linkon High School
Freshmen: Rafayel x MC
MC is the class president, with Rafayel as her deputy. He calls out, "Miss Class President!" throughout the day.
MC has good grades, ânot the top student, but definitely in the top ten.
Of course, Rafayel draws and doodles during classes. But his grades are not bad either thanks to his drive to outperform his possible rivals in love.
His notebooks are filled with sketches of MC.
MC teaches math to Rafayel and Rafayel teaches English to MC.
They are both bad at physics and spend class time drawing short comics together. However, if nobody listens and the teacher seems down, they would listen and nod along even though they don't understand a word.
The chemistry teacher is unsure if they like or fear Rafayel.
Overall, teachers love them 'cause they treat their teachers as real people and genuinely care about them.
Sometimes they lock their pinky fingers under the desk and keep them that way until the class is over, even though they both get a bit embarrassed.
Rafayel is determined not to kiss her on the lips until both become adults.
Their music teacher is Rafayel's aunt. MC loves her classes and is learning to play piano. Rafayel always complains but still can play at least one decent piece on every instrument you have in the music room.
The art teacher is Thomas. He and Rafayel always argue as Rafayel doesnât want his art to be just another mass product produced for exhibitions and competitions
MC grew up in a government institution. Although she doesn't remember, she met Rafayel when he was placed there after losing his parents. His relatives quickly took him in, but MC looked out for him, saving him from the bigger kids who tried to bully him. Eventually, they became friends.
MC is tomboy-ish and can't process her emotions properly.
MC's fashion sense is minimal, so Rafayel goes to shopping with her on weekends. Thanks to that they have some matching couple clothes.
Sophomores: Xavier x MC
They have average grades but excel in sports, making them the school's hidden assets in tournaments.
The school coach would love to have them join every team if he could.
Xavier is popular among other boys and has a considerable number of fans.
They nap together during lunch breaks.
They are members of the literature club and student librarians. So they regularly visit the library to read books or organize shelves and help others.
Literature teacher loves them.
Xavier tends to sleep through STEM classes, so MC shares her notes with him later in exchange for snacks or chocolate milk.
When Xavier gets bored during lectures or breaks, he secretly plays with MC's hair.
Despite skipping classes for extracurricular activities, they absorb information quickly, allowing them to pull all-nighters before exams and still perform well.
Some boys claim they got beaten up in the dark when they went down to the basement. Everyone's suspicious of Sylus, but itâs actually Xavier whoâs taking care of anyone who messes with MC.
They hang out with a large friend group that includes Tara, Jenna, Jeremiah, and Bella.
Tara enjoys styling MCâs and Bellaâs hair with cute hairpins to see how Xavier and Jeremiah will react.
Xavier wears one of MC's hair ties as a bracelet, believing it brings him luck.
They use all of their stationery together, so their pencils and erasers frequently end up in each otherâs pencil cases.
MC's dad is a police officer and her mom is a nurse. Xavier's parents are both politicians.
Xavier doesn't get along with his own father but they are on good terms with MC's dad. They play board games, go fishing, or jog on weekends. MC doesn't have the foggiest idea of how it happened.
Juniors: Zayne x MC
Zayne is the top student and MC is right behind him in second place.
People often think MC is just an airhead who gets good grades just because sheâs dating Zayne.
But while she is cheerful and active, sheâs also super diligent. She pays attention in class, reviews her notes, and makes new ones before exams to make sure sheâs on top of things.
She doesn't want to fall behind Zayne and secretly worries about how he would react in case she fails and gets bad grades.
All the teachers are fond of them with some even treating them like their own kids.
MCâs family trusts Zayne more than they trust her, so theyâre quicker to say yes to events if they know Zayne will be there with her.
MC has a cute habit of drawing little hearts on the random pages of Zayne's textbooks. Once Zayne noticed it, he started drawing jasmine flowers on hers.
They tend to avoid skinship at school, except for the times MC is sick. During those times, Zayne stays close to her all day, ensuring she is hydrated and consuming warm drinks. He hugs MC and lets her rest on his chest, and he holds her hand during classes.
Seniors: Sylus x MC
One word: Trouble
But no they're not your typical troublemaker brats. They are also top-notch in nearly every class, so teachers don't know what to do with them.
At first, they were pretty low-key about their relationship, keeping it a secret. But once they went public, they became all about PDA with Sylus' hand always around MC's waist whenever they managed to take a break from holding hands.
Science teachers would love to exempt Sylus from taking their classes so that he can never ever set foot in their labs.
Chemistry, physics, and biology teachers change their way when they see Sylus in corridors, lest he ask them about things that would lead to a global catastrophe.
The music teacher gets goosebumps whenever they see Sylus.
Most of the girls don't like MC and there is always gossip and slander surrounding her. But for some, she is like a protective big sis.
MC and Sylus's families have been business partners since the time of MC's grandma.
Sylus' family makes huge donations to the school, so the administration is unusually lenient with him.
They play truant regularly. For what? Nobody knows.
Itâs hard for others to actually mess with MC. But, when they do, Luke and Kieran are quick to pull pranks on them even before MC or Sylus can react.
Luke and Kieran look so similar that teachers often canât figure out whoâs at fault. Their innocent expressions after causing trouble donât make things any easier.
Sylus and MC are chosen school representatives. They are intimidating and cunning so it is easier for them to negotiate with and win over teachers and the local student union.
People come to them with problems to be solved. MC is willing to help them without any immediate material return but Sylus always turns it into a business deal with specific terms.
MC doesn't have many close friends, but she occasionally lunches with the MCs of Xavier, Zayne, and Rafayel.

The Space Eurovision episode had such potential. Imagine if instead of this tone deaf shit show of the week we had an actual deep exploration of it's themes and satisfying emotional arks that tied up all the loose threads from the season and got us ready for the finale. And the thing is, all the parts were there.
Here is how I would fix this episode:
* if you're going to introduce this many story elements, make this a two-parter
* the last episode is when Belinda started truly trusting the Doctor. Have Belinda address this growth so it makes it even more devastating later in the episode when the Doctor goes off the rails. The Doctor can go on his sphiel on how alone he is, no family anymore, no Gallifrey
* Spend more time exploring the contest. There was so much potential for lore and we were given NONE of it
* Add more instances of demonising the Hellians instead of one throwaway line. By the time Kid gets there, we should be wanting to have him shot on sight
* Ms Flood? I know it's not her episode but make her do something. Have her steal popcorn from a kid, make bets of whose going to win, idc. Make her interact with the world. This is how we're going to remember her before the straight cop Rani enters the show. Let Her Be Wacky!
* Before Kid enters the picture, make the control center sweat a little bit from fear of this Demonic Evil Hellian Boy on their genocide supporting space station. And make Kid be actually scary, idk why he is giving off such Conrad vibes. Can we also please style him better, he looks like 80s movies mean highschool bully, absolutely abysmal
* People get sucked off ( ಥâ  Íâ  â Ęâ  â ಥ ) into space. And we didn't care, because we knew none of them! This is why we needed more time just exploring this setting. What are the people like? Such a mixed pot of different aliens and we see none of their interactions. We were robbed. ROBBED.
* I'm sorry but this episode Belinda doesn't hold a candle to E1!Belinda. Show her be anything else than a personification of a wet blanket. What is she like after travelling with the Doctor? Still kind and brave? Still a hater at heart? What if she has learned to refuse the fear and selfishness that comes from scary situations and takes charge, like we saw in glimpses in E1?
* Instead of Doctor being jumpscared by Susan let's make this more emotionally impactful and show how even when actively dying his heart is with his granddaughter. A glimpse of his grief of losing his family and Gallifray and everyone close to him while he is dying in space cold and alone after all this time, unable to hold on to the most important people in his long and tragic life. And then the Susan vision. Find me <\3
* Flying through space with a confetti cannon Time
* Gasp! The Delta wave! And actively make parallels with the last time at the end of Nine's era where the Doctor was struggling to make decision whether or not to send the Delta wave to defeat the Daleks if it's going to kill an entire planet. Make him think of Kid as the stand in for every Big Bad that has taken his family away from him, the Daleks, the Cyberman, the Angels, the Rani, and his promise that while he is still alive he will not let them win.
* Enter dark!Doctor. And make him scary angry as he hunts down Kid, taunting and mocking all the way. "Ice in my heart" my ass. What even was that. He is Time Lord Victorious and he is going to kill this man with his bare hands
* Time for the emotional switch up. Let Belinda get the backstory, the in depth dehumanisation and genocide of the Hellian people, how literally no other efforts to be heard worked and how evil the Cooperation really is with all this propaganda. Make it hurt, make us understand why there are no other options for the Hellian people except voilence. How this has affected Cora. We do not get in the slightest of her feelings of this situation as a Hellian who has escaped her past. She's the heart of the Hellians and make us believe it.
* The Doctor becomes more cruel, and it becomes clear he is also projecting his own past trauma and experiences onto Kid.
* Make Kid's girlfriend do something other that stand around useless. I don't even remember her name, that's how underused in this story she was! Make her beg and try to explain and be scared to death from the Doctor. What was done to her to make her radicalised and ready to kill Show her struggling with this decision, not as ready to kill people as Kid was. Not to make her and Kid's actions justified, but to at least explain them?? She could've been replaced as a sexy lamp with horns this episode and we wouldn't have noticed. Like why go all the trouble of introducing the character if you're not even going to use her this episode?
* Make Belinda in denial of the Doctor's dark side as she races to the command center, show her telling her new friends how just and kind the Doctor is from the past episodes and how she trusts him with her life only for it all to be shattered the moment the reaches it.
* Fuck the stupid ass taser hollagram, give us something more disturbing from the Doctor. Make him fully buy into the propaganda that the Corporation has been telling everyone, make him a stand in for the oppressors. Make him feel righteous as prepares for the killing blow only for him to hear 'Stop!' coming from the enterance where he sees Belinda looking at him with horror, and make him for a moment see Susan's face instead of hers
* Belinda rushes to Kid, so does the the guy with the medical bag. There is moment where they think Kid is dead but they get his heart to beat at least
* While they are trying to save Kid's life, the Doctor gets clued in about the Hellian people, and with every revelation his horror about his actions grows. He realises again once more that in every group of individuals there are those who will hurt and kill people for their own gain, but just like the Zygons, the Hellians should not be blamed for the actions of few extremist individuals. And he is horrified to learn about the genocide of the Hellians and the destruction of their planet, and how for a moment he was on the oppressors side
* Kid and his girlfriend get arrested because they very much did intend to kill a shit load of people.
* He has a good talk with Cora about the state of the Hellians, and she tells her about the complicated feelings she has as a Hellian contestent that performs in a competition that is backed by the Corporation and about all the people who watch it that are knowingly or unknowingly participating in the dehumanisation of her people. But she does not agree with Kid and doesn't believe killing trillion people will help or heal the Hellian people. Only truth and humanity can.
* The Doctor gets the idea on how to bring back all the people in the Mavity field and gets to work
* Everyone is shaken up understandably, but the show must go on. Except this time, the truth is told
* Cora is the reluctant representative of her people, and for the first time, a Hellian has an audience of all these people both in the competition and those watching the broadcasts. She uses this platform to destroy the Corporations lies and shines light on the issues her people are facing. And only then does she sing the song of planet. And in the true spirit of the International Song Competition, all different races of aliens come together and sing as one. Celebration, sparkles and the stars above the space station, as it was always meant to be.
* The episode could end there but it would also be nice if we got to see some reactions that this performance is causing, the news anchors debating, the forest for and against the message, all the action that this should cause
* and now for Belinda and the Doctor. I refuse to believe Belinda was like I know you just tortured a guy and sided with the corporation that caused a genocide but I really wanted to take this opportunity to say how great you are . Because what was that, that's not Belinda, that's not who we met in e1 where she was basically about to slap the shit out of the Doctor every time he opened his mouth. No. I want the first time they're alone again and the Doctor turns on his charming personality again for Belinda to shut him down just as she did when she first met him, but now she hates him. So much. And she's also terrified, because for the first time she knows exactly who she is dealing with.
* And the Doctor tries to manipulate her again with fun, space, adventure â˘ď¸ ⨠but Belinda wants nothing to do with him anymore, leaving the Doctor with the same empty smile as he had in E1, but this time he knows she is right to be scared of him
* Now that the Vindicator is all charged up, she can go home to May 24, 2025. The atmosphere is tense and quiet as the Doctor pushes down the Take Off Switch.
Everything is set up for the finale now - Belinda has gone through her emotional journey, the Doctor has come to some realisations about his current incarnation, and all the pieces of our two seasons long journey are finally on the board!

I suddenly got some idea about Madara's sharingan. I don't know did someone say something close to this because I'm more into Tobirama fandom and not Madara's one.
But I still want to share my idea.
Before anything, I should said two things:
⢠It's a weak theory. More like possible headcanon
⢠Yes, I'm using Boruto lore to discuss Madara's sharingan. Because Sarada's case inspired me to this idea.
Also, before I tell the idea, I should mention the context that make me also thought about this.

There. The first one is 623 chapter and second is 624 and it's strange. Is Kishimoto mess his lore in following chapter? Maybe. Was Madara lying? Maybe.
Or...
Maybe sharingan was kinda suppressed.

Look. We have a case then Sasuke never used the sharingan before Haku. He obviously got the jutsu after bloody night. But he kinda couldn't use it before he and Naruto was trapped into Haku's mirrors.
Close thing happened to Sarada. She awakened her mangekyo but couldn't use it before certain moment and wasn't even aware as Sasuke said in Vortex 21 chapter's flashback.
So, could it happened to Madara to? How this suppression works and how it takes away?
Step 1. Awakening in harsh for Uchiha situation. Really harsh ones, as usual.
Sasuke lost his family and even brother who was loved him the most. Who would argue this? No one.
Sarada a bit more complicated case. Let me provide some context for anyone who doesn't read "Boruto".
Firstly, she suddenly hears that not only Kawaki is going after Boruto but that he succeeded in his killing once. Like, it's harsh news for any Uchiha already.
Secondly, she tries to protect her friend/her precious person. But she fails and Boruto loses one eye right because of her. And then she is sure that everything is okay now, everyone goes after Kawaki...
Thirdly, something happens again and now everyone after Boruto, even her lovely dad. There is no chance to Boruto successfully escape from all the villages. It's like losing precious one because of helplessness.
So, could Madara experience something close to it?
He already did. He lost his others siblings. It's a harsh and many people couldn't understand why sharingan wasn't awakened right there.
Did he really know about awakening?
As I think, not really. Someone may asks him "why you don't use sharingan if you awakened it" but because Madara tried to suppress his feelings and hurt so...
Oh right. Suppression. Let's talk about that.
Step 2. Suppression of emotions AND powers.
Look. Even Tobirama knows after founding village that emotions = powers for Uchiha. But that happens if Uchiha tries to suppress their emotions?
Sasuke couldn't use his sharingan. He obviously wasn't ready to remember his losses, the experience again the pain. So Sasuke suppressed as much as he could and concentrated on Itachi and his, Sasuke's, hate to him.
Sarada wasn't ready accept that her feelings for Boruto are different to everyone else. She "sealed" her power and tried to get away with "I'm going for hokage title, I have no time for this weakness".
Weakness. The word that used Sasuke than tried to deny his special bond with Naruto.
Was something like that with Madara? It's hard to tell. It's the greatest weakness of this idea.
But I believe that this page could be read like that as well. It doesn't set in stone but possible meaning.

So that could happen?
He awakened sharingan after loss. But he tried to... not like forget about loss but get concentrated. It's war, it's no time to crying for dead sibling... but if there were no war, would father sent siblings at fight?..
Madara is weak and small right now. Deeply inspide he believes that piece can't be achieved and yet he allow himself to dream. To deny harsh truth of the world.
Denying and dreaming get him at point that he has activated sharingan but can't use it! He wants so bad but he can't get a control and he became gloomy. What the point of sharingan that can't be used? Did Madara even awake it as he was told? Wouldn't he able to use it if he did?
Step 3. Stopping the suppression
It's again some harsh situation for Uchiha.

Sasuke kinda accepts his bond. He isn't ready for full acceptance but he take to step to it then he understand his wants to not lose Naruto as well.
Not again. He already lost so much.

Sarada has her moments with Yodo. Yodo is so like her, Yodo is so wanting back Shinki that ready to join Ryu and die for Shinki. But yet, Yodo is dying while Sarada helpless again... and still Yodo cheers her.
It's time to open eyes to the truth. Because Yodo and Sarada share so many similarities. It's not a weakness to have feelings.

And of course Madara and Hashirama. Madara can't do anything but protection of last sibling. He can't be friendly with Hashirama never again because they were fated to fight.
It's time to open eyes about Hashirama's clan. Time to accept the impossibility of peace. He would lose again his last brother if he continued dream about peace and non-losing any brother.
It's time to take away the suppression. Look right at truth that they all tried to ignore and forget. Run away from.
I think this idea kinda parallel Sasuke and Madara in beautiful way.
I mean, Madara and Hashirama was kinda designed to parallel Sasuke and Naruto. And firstly I thought only about loosing the friend parallel. Madara looses Hashirama and awakes sharingan, Sasuke looses Naruto and awakes another tomoe.
But this idea makes kinda... another level of parallel? Both lost their families, Sasuke because of Itachi and Madara because of father (who sent little children at fights) and Senjus. And their friends made them accept some truths and their beliefs. (That doesn't mean that Madara was right about peace. It's more about beliefs and inner thoughts and feelings).
Sarada is there because it's her who made me notice this possible parallel. She still fits there kinda perfectly and she is another example of this Uchiha inner mechanism.
So I want to end this idea by her own words. Kinda catharsis of this Uchiha mechanism.

Love in Arcane
There are a lot of themes in Arcane but an overarching theme is the dangers of love. Often times, love is put on a pedestal and mistaken as sacred. Love is always good, always "pure".
Arcane actively pushes against that.
I think a lot of the discourse surrounding some of the relationships wouldn't be as big if we recognized that love is just... not always a good thing. Silco and Jinx, Powder and Vi, Mel and Ambessa, they all display that - let me explain.
Silco and Jinx: Probably the most obvious example of this
Silco loves Jinx. This earnestly cannot be argued, he was willing to throw away his dream of an independent Zaun because he could not handle the idea of betraying her. Not losing her - betraying her. Hurting her. He was willing to give himself up, telling Jayce everything she did was what he ordered. It is not a possessive twisted love where he wants her near - he has spent her entire life promising that he won't betray her and he meant it.
BUT!
That does not mean Silco is a good father. He loves her - absolutely. But love is not always good. Everything Silco passed on to Jinx was an example of how he saw the world. Silco was a paranoid, hurt man and as such he made his daughter a paranoid, hurt woman. Love forms us, it teaches us and builds us. Silco loved Jinx but he hated Piltover. He was willing to use violence and use people to get to his goal and he taught Jinx that those methods were acceptable. And he loves Jinx, so she learned.
And after he dies, part of her healing is unlearning those lessons. It's no mistake the ghost of Silco she sees in that cell is a somber one - warning her about the cycle of violence she knows all too well. It's no mistake that Silco's solution was one he never managed to do.
A parent can love you, but that does not change who they are. It does not change what they teach you. Especially if they think they're right.
Powder and Vi: this one hits a lil personally for me
Violet is a parentified older sister, she doesn't just feel responsible for Powder - it's her purpose. It's more than a role to fill or a job to do, if something happens to Powder it is Violet's fault.
And Powder? Vi was everything to her. She looked to Vi for praise, for guidance. Everything she was supposed to seek out in a parent she had to look for in a fellow child. And when Violet leaves her (not really but that's how she understands it), she is ripped away from the only source of dependency she has. So there's a level of resentment there and a fear of further abandonment. Because if the most reliable person in her life can leave her, who won't?
When they reunite, Vi is trying to fulfill a role Jinx no longer needs. Jinx is independent. A lot of people try to say that Vi made Jinx or Silco made Jinx but remember that at the end of the day, Jinx is Jinx. She is a person who makes her own choices and has to find her own path. Violet can't recognize that until it's too late - and then, because she's known her whole life that it is her purpose to take responsibility for Powder, she betrays everything she ever stood for, puts on an enforcer badge, and takes to the streets to try to atone for her failure.
Vi sees Jinx as her failure.
And Jinx? When Vi comes back she tries to find that dependency she once knew. She tries to figure out if she can still depend on that sister who once meant the entire world to her. But she can't. She never should have. And learning that the person you idolize most sees you as either a child or a threat is gutting. Jinx is not a child, so she must be a threat. Because Vi can't love Jinx, she loves Powder. And Jinx can't be Powder anymore, and if that's the case then Violet can't love her.
They both do love each other. They love the memories of the other. Who they once were. When they start to learn about one another again and rekindle that siblinghood it becomes healthier - it's more meaningful and respectful but before then? No matter how hard Violet tried, even if Jinx had chosen to be Powder again, their love would not have been healthy. Violet needed to learn that Jinx was her own person. And that she was not responsible for her, not anymore. Jinx needed to find herself and recognize Vi's failures. Recognize Violet as a person too.
Because siblings change. They grow. Apart and then back together, usually. Siblings love each other but you have to love more than the person someone used to be. Otherwise, you're just pouring your grief on the person they've become.
Ambessa and Mel:
Perfectionist mother meets over-achiever, independent daughter. This is the clearest cut of all the relationships, in my opinion. We know Mel resents that her mother sent her away because she wanted to stay. She wanted to make her mother proud and if she couldn't make her proud she'd damn well spite her. And Ambessa? She loves Mel. She makes that very clear.
But sometimes, love is not something to desire. Sometimes love is synonymous with prison.
Ambessa's love meant she wanted her children to be survivors. Fighters. Winners. She wanted her children to be her.
Mel? Mel figured out quickly enough she didn't want to be her mother, she wanted to be herself. She feared what her mother could do but recognized the tactics and skills she honed were granted to her from the cradle.
That last word: "You have become the wolf."
The nail in the coffin. All the love, all the adoration in that tone, and yet Ambessa's love condemns Mel to a life she never wanted. Because now Mel is her mother's daughter. She is the wolf her mother raised. The heir. Mel loses everything she built and fought for as her Mother dies in her arms, by her hands.
Love. Succession. They can coexist with hate and damnation.
You can love someone and hurt them. Being loved can be hurtful. Love does not mean healthy. It does not mean good. Because love doesn't really have a tangible definition. You can love someone with everything in your body and still be bad for them. Someone can love you with all they have and yet haunt you long after their gone. I think we've placed love on this untouchable pedestal that we dare not touch or critique.
Because: "If it's bad for you it can't be love. No - people who love you don't hurt you. Love is only good. Love is good!"
It's important to know that being loved does not equal being happy, fulfilled, or safe. Better love exists. Healthy, meaningful, caring love exists. But even that will not always be perfect.
Love hurts. Love can be the most hurtful thing out there. Adoring someone rides a find line with glorifying them - love doesn't do that. Love knows your faults. It comes with faults. And adding the right combination of faults can make love a twisted sort of thing. Toxic is a word that's thrown around a lot and often separated from love.
Love can be toxic. It doesn't always become some separate entity, it just manifests sickeningly. Arcane shows us that.
It also shows us love can be good. It can forgive and accept. It can cradle and hold and save. It can last through dimensions and centuries, even through death. Love, like anything else, has many forms. Good and bad.
Doesn't Singed do atrocious things in the name of Love?
Doesn't Ekko recognize that even if he loves Powder, it's not his world. It's not his happiness to have. Doesn't leaving that love take strength?
Don't Viktor and Jayce find love in faults? In each other's shortcomings, not despite them but because of them?
Arcane encourages us to recognize Love's complexities and contradictions. And I think that's neat.
#Arcane#Love#Silco#Jinx#Powder#Violet#Vi#ambessa medarda#mel medarda#There are alot of examples I could've used#But yeah love is not infallible#Love is messy and complicated and I like how Arcane shows that#Because you can love someone and still NEED them out your life#This is 1/2 Arcane character study and 1/2 philisiphical ramblings

Hello Resident Evil fandom.
I need to get this out there and have other people share in this concept. Without further ado, its time to ramble about my AU.
Garden of Eden AU.
I created this AU kind of on a whim after seeing a piece of fanart. The general consensus is that Carla Radames replaces Albert Wesker... not in role or anything, but in Chris's life.
Carla Radames betrays, and then promptly kills Chris Redfields entire team. Chris is wracked with grief and anger and betrayal... and then something changes within him. Suddenly, he's S.T.A.R.S again... for just a moment. He feels betrayed and lost and angry.. and his brain immediately spirals. Carla's on the other end of it now, where he used to be.
As he and Piers corner her on the roof, he notices that sniper from the helicopter and tackles her out of the way of the shot. Carla manages to escape alive, perhaps even taunting Chris for being foolish enough.
Its all so familiar.
Piers is furious, he demands to know what Chris was thinking pulling a stunt like that. Chris has no answer for him, because he doesn't know either. He cant acknowledge whats really happening (projection of Wesker onto Carla) because its all so subconscious and desperate. He doesnt make an active effort to search her out, but everytime they cross paths from then on, something is different about Chris.
In this AU, Chris does find out that was not Ada. His only reservations were that Leon really cared about her... and now he doesn't have that barricade anymore.
Chris loses his mind. He becomes utterly obsessed with Carla, and for what its worth, she reciprocates it... for her own selfish gain. She recognizes this sick little soldier is wrapped around her finger.
He's chasing the familiarity he had with Wesker. Carla exists for that, its indistinguishable in his broken mind.
Also; things Carla says directly to Chris in the span of 6:
"Still haven't had enough, huh? Even after losing all your men â again?"
"Thanks for the escort. Here's something to remember me by."
"Oh, is the big, bad soldier going to shoot me?"
"Looking for me, boys? Welcome to China."
"With your track record I gotta say, I'd hate to be a member of your team, Chris. But where are my manners? I mean, really, I should be thanking your menâŚfor being such good test subjects."
Also this:
Carla is Chris's kryptonite.
Nobody can get through to him. No one can understand him, his pain, why he's doing this...
No one except Jill Valentine. She has to stop him...
She's the only one who can.

How I Knew I Was a Lesbian Instead of Bi
I don't know who needs to hear this during Pride Month, but I wanted to share some things that helped me realize I was actually a lesbian rather than bi. As someone who watched a bunch of videos on the difference, it made me more confused than helpful because my experience was not the same. In fact, I was pretty boy crazy and wanted a boyfriend. I enjoyed having my previous boyfriends around, but there was always something off and I knew that deep down. So, I hope my experiences will resonate with someone who doesn't feel repulsed by men.
Continuously struggling with wanting to go on dates, do romantic things, or receive romantic gifts with my boyfriend. However, picturing my boyfriend as a girl made me suddenly feel motivated.
When I broke up with my previous boyfriends, it felt more like I was grieving the loss of a good friend. Although, I was happy that I was free of any romantic/ sexual expectations with a man.
Not feeling like I understood the difference between platonic and romantic attraction because my attraction to every man was the same. I would use the level of emotional closeness I felt to guys to figure out which one I had a "crush" on. Although, I did understand the difference clearly between women I found attractive and women I just viewed as a friend.
Feeling completely out of place when girls would talk about how hot a guy was. I kept wondering what about the guy was giving them that strong of a reaction.
Being confused why it took so much energy to reciprocate romantic and sexual feelings/ actions when I knew I loved them in some capacity. I kept comparing myself to other girls to figure out what was going on with me and why they were able to feel things so easily for the guys they were with. Figuring it was something I needed to "fix" within myself to better in the relationship.
Laying awake at night praying the romantic/ sexual expectations they had of me in the relationship would go away.
Being able to visualize an idea of a woman, a specific woman, or a general vibe of the type of woman I was interested in doing romantic or sexual things with. Visualizing romance with men was about how we could hangout with one another, blurred out faces, or focusing on specific body parts so I never had to look at him in the face in my fantasies
Dating women felt like life was being breathed into me where I had enough energy to go about my daily life, invest in hobbies, and my general life. Acts of love came naturally and I felt comfortable taking time for myself. Dating men felt like a checklist of activities and feeling like I had to be around them all the time so the feelings I had for them wouldn't suddenly disappear (hence very codependent relationships would start)
Having to apologize to my boyfriends for sending them love songs with "she/her" pronouns because I didn't know any love songs about men (how did I not know).
Bragging to my friends about being able to keep keep a straight face with mlm and straight romance stories. Simultaneously dodging any media surrounding wlw or an attractive woman in it because I would feel something and that was terrifying.
Suddenly losing "attraction" in men when they would change anything about their aesthetic. Causing confusion and panic because I was wondering where my feelings towards them had gone. However, a woman changing her appearance drastically didn't have an effect on my attraction towards her.
Wondering why my "attraction" to men was so inconsistent and seemed to disappear so easily. I would continue to test my attraction to them and keep it in the back of my head every time I was in a relationship with a man. I knew if I didn't try and stimulate those "feelings" 24/7, I would never feel them again and that was scarier.
Obviously, these are only a handful of experiences because I didn't want to make this too long. I remember how lost I felt during this process of discovery so I hope this brings some comfort in those who can relate. I was someone who switched back and forth between being a lesbian and bi several times over the course of a decade! So, I understand how difficult it can be and know that even if you got to this point and you're still unsure, know that I see you. As always, labels are a personal choice, you know your experience with your sexuality best, and trust your gut instinct.

Week 13 (Sporta Festival - Part 3)
Game 3! B-B-Battle!
(Yeah, y'all knew I wasn't about to change this. Be honest.)
Mic announces the next game, Aizawa preparing student files for everyone who passed, including the 1-C and 1-H students, even getting Vlad King's input on his students.
Midnight draws names for the first round, each one appearing on the screen. Once again, only hero names are used, with the exception of Shouto who, well, goes by Shouto.
The match-ups are as such:
Battle 1: Aoyama Yuuga vs Honenuki Juuzou.
Battle 2: Ashido Mina vs Shiozaki Ibara.
Battle 3: Hagakure Tooru vs Kendou Itsuka.
Battle 4: Iida Tenya vs Hatsume Mei.
Battle 5: Kaibara Sen vs Todoroki Shouto.
Battle 6: Kirishima Eijirou vs Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.
Battle 7: Midoriya Izuku vs Shinsou Hitoshi.
Battle 8: Uraraka Ochako vs Yaoyorozu Momo.
Before the battles start, students are allowed to spend a further five minutes preparing, whether it be mentally or physically. Izuku and Shouto cross paths, though nothing is said. Only a nod of their heads, before they continue on.
Kyouka and Mashirao meet up, staring at the match-ups. Specifically, at 'Mindjack's name, against Izuku's. They both feel so frustrated, because they couldn't even show the pros what they were made of, and how they used their quirks. It was all orchestrated by Shinsou, and they can't even remember how.
Seeing them, Setsuna, also pissed that she can't even remember what she did, approaches.
"There were no rules against using your quirk on your teammates," she says, eyes strictly on Shinsou's name. "He didn't cheat. He used whatever or whoever was at his disposal. Only sore losers would claim he cheated..." Her eyes narrow, crossing her arms and digging her fingers into them. "That doesn't mean it was okay."
They agree to warn Izuku of what they remember: Shinsou saying something to them. After that, it's all blank.
Izuku gratefully accepts their warning, making notes on how to deal with Shinsou, and what he remembers himself of their short meeting, both at the Entrance Exam and in the King of the Hill game.
Yuuga sits in his waiting room, staring at the floor, his body shaking and his mind racing. He can't bring himself to calm down, but he knows he'll have no choice but to fight if he wants to make something of himself. (If he wants to be a hero.)
Meanwhile, Mei ambushes Tenya in his waiting room, and they come to an agreement, using the rest of their prep time to contact a teacher: Midnight. Midnight, liking the showmanship and the comradary, agrees too.
Sen is pretty much dead-eyed, staring up at the ceiling, much to Kousei and Hiryu's concern, who both came to cheer him up. They all knew how strong Shouto was, and even their inter-class rivalry isn't enough to get him fired up. Kousei pats his back, telling him to make his victory hard. Sen grumbles, but agrees.
In his waiting room, Eijirou pumps himself up, recalling how much carbon-high food he'd been eating, and starting every morning with a small amount of activated charcoal. Denki, who visited him, cheers him on, and Eijirou responds with just as much cheer.
Tetsutetsu, in a similar vein, is excited beyond belief, because he's well aware of how similar his quirk is to Eijirou, and he wants to know just how well they compare. Pony, though not understanding where his rivalry comes from, cheers for him.
Neitou visits Itsuka, and tells her only one thing: win. Itsuka agrees, knowing that this is their chance to prove that 1-B and 1-A are just as strong as each other.
Juuzou is visited by Kojirou, who makes him swear to not lose to anyone but him. There are sparks of a rivalry there, and Juuzou swears to stand upon that podium.
Tooru is, unexpectedly, met with Mina, and they both rave about how exciting it all is, and they promise to meet each other in the later rounds to finish the battle they started in King of the Hill.
Momo and Ochako sit by themselves, as their friends prepare in their own rooms. They recall how their fight never truly ended, with continuous offence on Momo's part and constant defence on Ochako's. Though they're in different rooms, they both swear to beat the other.

Battle 1: Aoyama Yuuga vs Honenuki Juuzou
The five minutes are up, and the first battle begins, Yuuga and Juuzou entering the stage. The pros in the stadium cheer out of respect, the bell rings, and the fight begins.
Yuuga shoots a laser from his navel, just as Juuzou reaches to the ground. The laser is enough to disrupt Juuzou, and he decides to play defensive, ducking and weaving between lasers.
It isn't long before Yuuga's stomach begins to cramp, his bursts becoming shorter and shorter. Soon enough, has no choice but to stop less he throws up then and there, and Juuzou takes the chance to touch the ground, the concrete under Yuuga turning into much, making him fall until half of his torso is under the ground.
Knowing he can no longer fight, and escaping was impossible when Juuzou resolidifies the ground, Yuuga resigns.
Mic yells, loud and clear, "And the winner is Mudman!"
Battle 2: Ashido Mina vs Shiozaki Ibara
As Yuuga is freed from the ground, Aizawa comments that the match-ups may be by chance, but some people just have bad luck. Mic agrees, but also reckons that skill can definitely overpower luck.
Mina and Ibara walk onto the stage, and their fight begins. Ibara reacts first, lashing her vines out at Mina, who swiftly dodges to the side, her feet gliding across the acid she secreets.
Ibara is just as fast, however, and she's more battle smart, as she changes her trajectory to where Mina goes, rather than where she is. Like that, her vines wrap around Mina's torso and lifts her from the ground.
But, just as she tries to throw Mina out of the ring, Mina, (by instinct), covers herself in highly abrasive acid, and Ibara's vines dissolve. Mina falls to the ground, and realises what this means. So does Ibara, who changes her strategy to form multiple layers of vines, trying to use density to her advantage, but Mina's acid is too strong to do much.
In the end, Mina breaks through her fortress of vines and pushes Ibara out of the ring, leaving 'Acid Trip' as the victor.
Battle 3: Hagakure Tooru vs Kendou Itsuka
Mic calls out for the next battle, and Itsuka and Tooru walk in. As they do, Mic helpfully reminds the crowd of their quirks: Kousen (Tooru) with 'Invisibility', and Battle Fist (Itsuka) with 'Big Fist'. Aizawa hums, and monotonously informs him that Tooru's quirk name is outdated.
While Mic is confused by this, the bell rings and the battle ensues.
Now, Itsuka makes a big mistake, and that's evident by her first move. She immediately grows her fist and throws a punch at Tooru. Only for Tooru to catch it, crossing her arms over her head to do so.
It's then that Itsuka realises that Tooru isn't just 'invisible'. She's buff as fuck.
That realisation makes her panic, and Tooru uses it to her advantage, running forth and slamming her elbow into Itsuka's gut. Itsuka kicks her away, enlarging her fist once more, though to a smaller, more controllable size, and goes to swat her.
But, this time, Tooru doesn't respond with her physical strength. No, she drops to the ground to avoid Itsuka's attack, and, as she does, removes her shirt. Itsuka becomes flustered, knowing that Tooru would quickly gain the advantage, and tries to strike her once more.
She's too slow, her larger fist making for a bigger swing, and Tooru jumps back and out of the way, throwing her trousers on the ground, and suddenly she's gone.
Panicking, Itsuka grows her hand even more, soon becoming the same size as the ring, and she begins to twist, letting her hand comb through the entire ring in an attempt to find Tooru.
Hidden from the human eye, Tooru ducked under the large hand, and keeps her body low as she runs in, fist reeling back as she gets closer, until she's finally by Itsuka's side, and she puts her entire body's weight into a punch, straight into Itsuka's side.
Itsuka stumbles back, desperately trying to hit back at the angle she was struck, but her hand swings into thin air. Tooru punches her once more, again and again, until it finally stop, Itsuka falling onto her butt - outside of the ring.
"KOUSEN WINS!"
Battle 4: Iida Tenya vs Hatsume Mei
The next round is... interesting. As in canon, Mei uses Tenya as free advertisement all the way through, disappointing some heroes who wanted to see Ingenium's little brother fight, and gaining the interest of others, who want to see more of the support student who made it into the final games, just to promote her work.
Tenya also displays an impressive amount of adaptability, faced with unfamiliar support items he's only been faced with today.
Battle 5: Kaibara Sen vs Todoroki Shouto
Sen knows he's going to lose. But he won't make it easy. At the very least, he will prove himself a worthy enough match to the son of Endeavour.
In the stands, Endeavour's presence is undeniable, as he watches Shouto walk into the ring. See, just before the match started, Endeavour approached him, displaying disgust that he had yet to win any of the games, despite passing them, and reckons that he could win overwhelmingly if he just used his fire.
And Shouto despises that. His gaze is on Endeavour as he enters the ring, before its forced away as the bell rings.
As he usually does, he shoots forth a large, strong ice-wall, intent on finishing the match as soon as he could, just to prove that he didn't need his father's fire.
But Sen isn't having any of that, rotating his arms fast enough to drill into the ice, breaking through in a matter of moments.
The stadium begins to stir, enticed by the idea of someone standing a chance against Endeavour's son and-
Shouto slams an pillar of ice into Sen's torso, sending him flying and out of the ring. The arena goes silent.
"D... Don't mind...!"
"Don't mind!"
Despite Shouto being the victor, all words are aimed at Sen. Sen hates that he barely lasted a minute, but at least he lasted past the first attack.
In the stands, Izuku watches Shouto melt his ice, and his heart clenches at the solemn look in his eyes.
Battle 6: Kirishima Eijirou vs Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
Now, this is what the pros were looking forward to. While previous matches have had their own interesting qualities, as Yuuga fought until he couldn't anymore, Ibara's vines were melted by Mina's acid, Tooru proving her strength and stealth, Mei advertising herself with Tenya's aid, and Shouto proving why he's the son of the second ranked hero, this battle is gritty.
Two kids with quirks that improve their defence significantly getting into a slug fest, as they challenge the other, finding out for themselves whose defence lasted longer and which was harder.
It's a match full of both offence and defence, whittling away at each other, until one of them finally dropped.
And it's not the one who had a diet specifically for his quirk.
Eight minutes go by, punching and punching, before Tetsutetsu's finally exhausted all he could from his quirk, and Eijirou lands a hardened hook to his jaw. Tetsutetsu is too exhausted to continue and surrenders, but Eijirou holds a hand out to him.
Midnight and Mic gush over the comradery.
Battle 7: Midoriya Izuku vs Shinsou Hitoshi
Izuku had been preparing for this since the match-ups were announced, his blood boiling every time he thought back to how Shinsou called him a kyou. Not Kyou, a kyou. Hollow, because that's what quirkless people were.
His heart thumps with rage, and he trembles with it as he walks onto the stage, Shinsou walking up the opposite side with a damningly smug smirk on his face. As if he'd already forgotten how easy it was for Izuku to throw him off the throne.
Mashirao, Kyouka, and Setsuna watch from the stands, and they all desperately want Izuku to win.
Aizawa watches, bringing out Shinsou's profile, and staring directly at his quirk's name: Brainwash. He wonders if Izuku will be able to win.
The bell rings and Shinsou wastes no time, "We meet again, kyou."
Izuku's spine shivers, and he doesn't even bother reaching for his katana, darting at Shinsou and swinging his right fist at him. Shinsou fumbles, stumbling to the left and out of Izuku's swing.
"Not gonna say anything? Ha! Should have known those freaks warned you. Who was it: that monkey?"
Oh, that was it. Izuku takes a risk. He knows that it must have something to do with responding, because that's what he saw in the Entrance Exam, and what Mashirao, Kyouka, and Setsuna remembered. But no quirk was without its limits, and there was a common trick to quirks that affected the mind.
So, he grabs his katana, bringing the blunted tip to his chest, and he speaks, "You think you're hero material!?"
Shinsou jumps, but he reacts as fast as possible, dragging Izuku into his quirk's trap. Izuku goes limp, his mind falling blank, and his chest drops with it.
Right into the tip of his katana. It digs right between his ribs, winding him, and the pain brings him right back from Shinsou's brainwashing. He continues, even as Shinsou scrambles to do something, "You're nothing but an entitled asshole!"
Once again, Shinsou tries to capture him, but Izuku falls onto his katana once more and comes back, gaining his footing when he does.
"What gives you the right!? Everyone in this arena has worked their asses off to get here! Everyone but you!"
Shinsou flinches, brainwashing Izuku for the third time, but it's for naught as Izuku gets back, and he's struck with this abrupt realisation that, oh, he's screwed.
Izuku, done with facing him, sheathes his katana once more, lunging at Shinsou and ducking under his pathetic hook. He slams his feet on the ground, twisting his body as he swings his fist up, right into Shinsou's abdomen.
Shinsou stumbles back several times, winded and on the verge of throwing up, until his foot steps onto the edge of the ring, and he falls onto the grass.
"And we have a winner!" Mic roars. "KYOU!" Around the stadium, people begin to clap, nowhere near as enthusiastic as the other fights, as if they couldn't quite believe it. Despite it being a hero student versus a gen ed.
Izuku doesn't pay it any mind, too busy glowering down at Shinsou. "Knock-knock," he says through gritted teeth.
Shinsou blinks, confused beyond belief. "Wh-Who's there...?"
Izuku sighs, his rage subceeding. "See? You can't help but respond." With that, he walks away, and Shinsou falls silent.
Battle 8: Uraraka Ochako vs Yaoyorozu Momo
Both of them are excited as they walk onto the ring. The fact that they're the last match-up is both exciting and full of pressure, as they have to follow up on every match that came before them. Neither of them are particularly confident in themselves, but there's one thing they share.
The desire to win.
The match starts with a 'DING', and they waste no time to finish what they started last game. Except, this time, they're both prepared. In King of the Hill, Ochako had been taken by surprise, left to follow only what she saw and her instincts, and Momo only had a few minutes of preparation, half of which was used to prepare for Tenya.
This time, they've had more than enough time to come up with their own strategies.
Once again, the crowd are not disappointed, as they both rush in, strategies clashing at once.
Ochako has had enough of constant defence, and is on pure offence, pushing past any strike that lands on her, intent on touching Momo at least once.
Momo goes a different route, creating several small items from her skin, her outer layer gone before the match started. Each item is sacrificed, as Ochako's fingers land on them instead of her skin, sending them into the air.
Their fight is close-combat all the way, and both of them are thriving, using their combat prowess to get close to the other. Despite how this should be in Ochako's favour, Momo holds up strong, landing several strong hits on Ochako's body, while using her small objects to block Ochako's quirk.
Then it changes. Ochako's mind rushes, and she finds her strategy morphing. No longer was it completely her own - her strategy was to use Momo's against her.
Momo makes a muffled noise of confusion, as Ochako kicks back, far away. She thinks about it, trying to piece together what Ochako was aiming for by retreating, when she realises, and her head shoots up to the sky, where all those small objects she made float.
Ochako grins, and pushes her fingers together just as Momo realises. Fast to react, Momo creates a thick sheet of sorbothane, coating herself and letting it absorb the impact of those objects falling onto her.
Ochako uses this momentary distraction to rush in, stretching her hand out just as Momo removes the sheet. Momo tries - she really does. She creates a taser from the patch of skin Ochako's hand reaches out to, but the sparkles of her creation alert Ochako, and she moves her hand down.
The taser drops onto Ochako's wrist, shocking her enough to let go, but the damage is done. Momo is in the air, and Ochako is one step closer to victory.
Momo creates a grappling hook, aiming for the ground, but Ochako has experience with it from Mei, and she grabs the rope before the hook can sink into the ground. Holding onto the rope with both hands, she drags it over her shoulder, and pulls as hard as she can, throwing Momo outside of the ring.
"AND WITH THAT, WE HAVE OUR EIGHT WINNER! URAVITYYYYY!"
Ochako, heaving heavy breaths, lets her quirk go, and Momo drops to the ground. At first, Momo bites her lip, frustrated beyond belief. But then the arena erupts, applauses sent to both of them.
"That was a great fight!"
"You two should join my agency!"
"WOO!"
Ochako smiles, walking over to Momo, and she holds her hand out, pinky bent out - a promise to not use her quirk. "Let's fight again!"
Momo brightens, her frustration washing away by Ochako's encouragement. "Yes!" She takes her hand, and Ochako raises both of their arms up, the arena's cheers only increasing as a response.

Do you think I don't know what you're doing, copycat
Before I wasn't sure about Rhylie but now I was right.
Rhylie imitates any of my topics or uploads the same videos from YouTube as me
Do you remember the post about the song Cereal Mascots?
Just look
And here's the scary thing
I sent this post to pamithebunterfly2007 on Message
At first I didn't understand
But now I understand how Rhylie did it.
Rhylie went to pamithebunterfly2007's blog and went to the likes list.
And when I compared pamithebunterfly2007's likes list with Rhylie's blog
Rhylie reposts any pamithebunterfly2007 post she likes.
Here is the evidence
The purple backgrounds belong to Rhylie while the pink background belongs to pamithebunterfly2007 likes list
This is half of them
Rhylie literally reposts every post from pamithebunterfly2007 likes list.
My advice to pamithebunterfly2007 Turn off the like List from your blog
The same thing with the list you are following.
At least this will stop Rhylie from stalking you for a bit.
And I think Rhylie doesn't just do it with only pamithebunterfly2007, she does it with everyone.
So guys if you have a like list or following list in your blog Turn off from your blog So Rhylie doesn't take any information about your events and activities.
As you can see Rhylie Inviting themselves to pamithebunterfly2007 affairs
pamithebunterfly 2007 said happy birthday to call-me-chips and then Rhylie did the same
what a creep
And I forgot to mention in my previous post that she is still chasing Lizzie and pamithebunterfly 2007
Rhylie has no creativity or ability to think.
All she does is imitate others or imitate others' style Or imitate other people's topics
Rhylie is not an artist, she is insulting the artistic community
Because Rhylie uses AI FOR HER ART
She said it herself (And I'm making "original" pics with Al. This proves I don't draw)
Okay, Rhylie said before that she is an artist in her old blog.
And Rhylie herself she said is an artist in one of zb189's posts.
Rhylie was replying to zb189
Then later Rhylie says she's not an artist what a piece of trash
And now Rhylie is using AI for her art.
First of all, this is not considered original art because you are using AI
Some people here are still learning to draw or sharing their art with their hands and sweat while you don't lift a finger or do anything Rhylie
Now let me talk about a post where you're going to lose some of your brain cells because of Rhylie.
((Please Ignore It Everyone, Cuz I'm Teaching Someone A Lesson And I Have Most Determinations Like Everybody In Gacha Community))
You mean you're trying to silence someone from telling the truth about your actions
It's in your best interest to leave @mystical-death alone.
And the person who will learn the lesson is you Rhylie
(Everyone wants to be friends with someone who makes make blueberry inflation arts)
Ok this is wrong
Everyone has their own opinions on these matters.
This art is not suitable for minors at all.
Literally, a minor came to me and said that you sent them inappropriate and sexual images of fictional minor characters. And how uncomfortable they were with you
(((I'm Going To Make Everyone To Report Your Blog From Tumblr If You're Not Leaving, So You Better To Leave Everybody In Tumblr Alone Or Else. They Are The Gacha Users And They Just Like A Family To Me, I'm Like A Gacha User But I'm Nothing Like Lila Rossi From Miraculous Ladybug.)))
You are the first to copy my words in the last sentence
Leave @mystical-death alone
Of course not the Gacha community and Gacha Users are not your family.
you are just a hateful parasite in Gacha community
You are an unwanted person. You are like a deadly plague here on Gacha community
(You Can't Make Everybody To Report My Blog On Tumblr,)
You're right @mystical-death they can't but I can
Guess what day your judgment will be soon
Soon everyone will know your true nature, your personality and what kind of person you are.
And the best part is that you will be speechless when that day comes.
And now the second post
(((I Don't Deserve To Get Banned From Tumblr, Cuz I Wanted To Prove Them That I'm The Nost Important Person And A Leader Of Gacha Community As Well I Also Have Determinations. As A Leader Of Gacha Community, I Just Wanted Everybody Always Trust Me. I'm The Most Trusted Person And I Sonetimes Don't Trust Some People, But I Don't Accept Critisms.)))
You are not anyone's leader. No one wants you to be their leader, especially your background.
Nobody trusts you, especially your background and actions.
(((I Allowed To Do Males only: inflations, blueberry inflations, weight gains, inflated suits, poofy diapers, inflated pants and crossdressing.
I Also Allowed To Do Females Only: Hourglass Inflations, Muscle Growths, Inflating Males, Feeding Males, cherry inflations and pregnancy. As Well I Temporarily Do Fetish Stuff, Now For The Non-Fetish Stuffs.)))
First of all, these are your opinions and activities and do not concern others.
But this does not mean that you force people, especially minors, to like this kind of art and drawings
Okay I find this part funny.
(((I'm Okay With: 13+ Arts, Memes, Blood, Gore, Cannibalism, Bad Characters Death/Defeats, Villains Death/Defeats, Rants And Ai Arts)))
Have you seen the last text?
Rhylie supports Ai Arts and uses it too
Rhylie literally did all the things on this list.
(((I Don't Do: Pedophilias, Zoophilia, Necrophila, Plushophilia, Sexism, Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Trump Supporting Stuff, Elon Musk Supporting Stuff, David Zaslav Supporting Stuff, Gacha Heat, 18+ Arts, Nudity, Sexual Roleplays, Pedophilia Ship Roleplays, Zoophilia Ship Roleplays, Necrophila Ship Roleplays, Farts, Burps, Inflation With Sex, Cm, Milking Tits, Prn, Dramas, Grounding, Disciplines, Child Abuse, Animal Abuse, Good Characters Abuse, Bad Movies, Bad Shows, Bad Video Games, Bad Animes And Anything Inappropriate )))
You literally abuse minors and stalk them.
You literally tried to flirt with two minors and one of them said she is 18 But you ignored her words and told them they are your soulmate And you are a sensitive person
You are really are a creep old hag Rhylie
And let me tell you, all of this will be used against you soon.
So thanks Rhylie for exposing yourself and the evidence.
You're really pathetic Rhylie
a old 21 woman who She doesn't have anything good in her life and most of her work is in a fast food restaurant or in an office.
She clearly has megalomania.
How many times have I told you that in every post your lies and manipulation will be used against you
You literally guarantee my victory With all your lies, manipulation, attacks, bullying and harassment of others
Oh now I can imagine your shocked and scared reaction when you find out what I did.
I am serious this time when I say I am working on your judgment day
So Rhylie see you in court

This episode drops so much lore and I'm so happy! We start off in Sejukwon, where Master Heo is trying to keep the shifter's body from petrifying. Yul asks if it's possible to reverse the process that causes shifters to lose control. Lord Park says that they're only keeping him alive for questioning. Most importantly, he says that a soul shifter who has lost control is no longer human, but a monster. They must either feed off of a human or turn to stone.
It immediately cuts to Mudeok, who knows this. She's terrified that she's become a monster. Lord Park says there's no way to stop a shifter from becoming a monster, but Yul remembers the ice stone. Doesn't it have the power to reverse this?
Lord Park is adamantly against the ice stone being used after what happened 200 years ago. A storm is brewing near Cheonbugwan, and Jin Mu is disappointed that he can't use the soul ejector that Eunuch Kim activated. Yeom Su asks if the rain really makes a soul ejector useless and we get a sick lore drop!
Jin Mu has a flashback to being on the boat with Bu Yeon and wonders if she was trying to destroy the stone by summoning a storm. If she was missing for 10 years, that means she'd be 20 now and she was around 10 at the time. A ten year old having that kind of power is insane! Jin Mu also recognizes her power.
Speaking of storms, she's summoning one again! The water in the constellation basin is from the lake, and by touching it, Mudeok has access to Bu Yeon's power. But she can't control it and Uk grabs her out of the way just as a bolt of lightning strikes.
Accessing Bu Yeon's power means Mudeok is blind again. Uk says they must leave before Jin Mu gets back and guides her back to the main room but remembers the doors are sealed using Jin Mu's energy. Mudeok remembers a servant's entry near the basin, but they'd still be in Chunbugwan where any mage could find them. He comes up with a better plan: summon the Crown Prince!
He fills the red jade with his energy, which activates the blue jade CP is wearing...right against his chest. He was about about to go to sleep, too! Jin Mu enters the constellation room to find the petrified body of Eunuch Kim and no trace of Mudeok or Jang Uk. He's shocked that Uk was able to break through his prison. He orders the other mages to seal off all exits and gives them permission to kill Uk and Mudeok if found.
Jin Mu is calm and calculated in his search. He knows that Uk will never find his way out of Cheonbugwan and figures that he's probably hiding. He calls out into the empty room, noting that Uk broke his barrier of water. Should he try fire next time, to smoke him out? So that spell has other elements! Uk calls out that rather than blackmailing, they should be negotiating.
Jin Mu says there's no point. As Danju, it's his job to get rid of trespassers. He denies the existence of Eunuch Kim and Uk says that it doesn't matter since Jin Mu will get caught anyway. The storm is visible from Songrim and Lord Park is worried due to Cheonbugwan's proximity to the palace. Uk reveals that he's the one who has the red jade, while the CP has the blue jade. He filled it with energy, which means the CP has to respond.
Jin Mu draws his sword but Uk has the advantage here.
Jin Mu has two options: believe Uk and try to get to the body before CP, or kill Uk and have CP feel the energy draining from his half of the jade. He chooses the former and rushes to check the body. Uk lied and it's not there. When Jin Mu gets back to the constellation room, CP is already there and he has some questions! Jin Mu says that it's all a big misunderstanding.
While he thinks of a lie, Jin Mu notices Mudeok with her eyes covered and flashes back to Bu Yeon. Uk blocks his view and demands to know why Jin Mu would use Mudeok as bait for Eunuch Kim. Fortunately, her eyesight has returned and boy does she glare at Jin Mu. She's got two lifetimes' worth of resentment towards him, so understandable!
We switch to Master Lee asking Head Maid Kim about Cho Chung, Naksu's father. Apparently, he was close with Jang Gang's father. HMK remembers both the constellation recorder mage and his daughter. HMK assumes that she's dead and Master Lee asks why she thinks that. Apparently, Jang Gang tried to find Naksu and the only way he wouldn't find her is if someone was hiding her. BOY HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU HMK!
HMK says that Jang Gang was torn up over the deaths of his wife and best friend and left to go search for Naksu. She assumed he'd come back, but he never did.
However, HMK thinks that Jang Gang's agony was over having to punish a friend for using forbidden sorcery. Master Lee says that she doesn't know the whole story. HMK gets riled up thinking that Songrim found Naksu, but Master Lee says she's dead. He's technically right! HMK calms down and says that she should have a memorial service in Naksu's honor.
Master Lee says that she's kindhearted, but HMK says she simply doesn't want Naksu's spirit haunting Uk.
HMK says that she'd get rid of that spirit, since she'd definitely harbor enough resentment to be evil. Good thing Mudeok skipped that step and fell in love with Uk instead! Speaking of Mudeok, Master Lee asks where she is and HMK says she was sent on an errand to Cheonbugwan. That place is about to get SO crowded lmao
CP has to witness Uk and Mudeok fussing over each other and is not a fan. His servant then informs him that Lord Park has arrived. CP then mediates while everyone tells their side of the story. Uk says he was there to deliver yakgwa because Lord Park and Jin Mu fought over them and HMK didn't want there to be lingering resentment. CP doesn't buy it - why didn't Uk leave right away after that?
Uk says that he was simply curious about the constellation basin but ended up seeing something he shouldn't have. He piles all the evidence at Jin Mu's feet and he says Uk is lying. Jin Mu says that Uk not only trespassed, but damaged the basin. He says that Uk made up the soul shifter because he was in trouble. Uk doubles down and says both he and Mudeok saw it, but CP says that he didn't see a body.
While Lord Park and Jin Mu argue whether or not Songrim has a right to search Cheonbugwan, CP questions Uk about the shifter. Uk says that he saw Eunuch Kim next to the queen on the day of their duel. CP asks Eunuch Oh who was there that day and he answers it was EK. Rather than have Songrim search the place, they just need to check if EK is in the palace or not. Jin Mu refuses yet again, but this time he's smiling. What does he have up his sleeve?
The Queen herself has arrived! CP is shocked to see his mother and she asks if it's true that a soul shifter was sighted. He tells her that it was Eunuch Kim, but Jin Mu shuts it down and says that Uk is lying. Interesting move, since they both benefit from EK being dead. But upon hearing his name she just smiles and says that EK came with her.
Everyone is gagged - including me! Uk realizes that this is the power of the ice stone and immediately thinks of using it to prevent Mudeok from sharing the same fate. He then turns to Mudeok and says that they must have been mistaken. She's confused, but follows along with him. Jin Mu is also confused that Uk is agreeing that he lied and not panicking.
As leader of Songrim, Lord Park apologizes to the queen and Jin Mu on Uk's behalf. He then offers to repair the basin, but Jin Mu says it's unnecessary. Lord Park doubles down and asks the queen to allow Songrim to have the opportunity to make things right. She and Jin Mu are both visibly annoyed but when even CP asks for her permission, she grants it and then leaves.
The queen leaves, but the tension between Songrim & Cheonbugwan remains. Lord Park says that Uk will be taken home and punished but Jin Mu obviously doesn't want him leaving with what he's seen. Just as CP is about to speak, Mudeok throws herself at his feet. She says that last time Uk was punished, he was flogged 100 times. This time, he might even die! Uk is clearly trying not to laugh while Lord Park looks embarrassed. They use their theatrics and the shock of their audience to get Uk out and Lord Park follows, dumbfounded.
With Songrim gone, CP says that the entire story sounded ridiculous anyway. But then, how did the roof above the basin open to allow lightning in?
Everyone in the room knows that Uk couldn't have mastered chisu, so who was it? While he's mulling it over, CP notices that Jin Mu has his sword in his hand, even though Uk was unarmed. Curious!
Outside, Lord Park commends Mudeok for her clever thinking. She apologizes for interfering and flustering him. He says she did a good job and Mudeok bows awkwardly. Uk says he wasn't lying and Lord Park says he knew Uk wouldn't lie about something so serious. After seeing the evidence, Uk asks if the palace has the ice stone.
Songrim has been keeping tabs on Jin Mu for a while and the events that transpired tonight are irrefutable evidence. Unfortunately, now that Eunuch Kim is alive and well, he can answer questions. Jin Mu asks if Uk was the one who petrified him.
He also didn't see Uk open the roof and saw no other mage present. The queen thinks it's possible that Uk mastered chisu and is hiding it, but Jin Mu says that he didn't seem to be that powerful when they fought. Eunuch Kim does not gaf about this conversation, since apparently the ice stone is in his body and he wants to use it. Sadly, he's not a mage so he can't.
The queen says that his revival was only temporary because things were dire. When he tries to run, the queen uses her magic to retrieve the ice stone and end EK's brief reincarnation. Lord Park says that the ice stone's power is evil and it must be destroyed. Uk is about to argue but Mudeok stops him. Lord Park says that Uk and Mudeok should head home and avoid Jin Mu for a while.
After Lord Park and Sang Ho leave, Uk says that they need to find the ice stone before Lord Park destroys it. Mudeok confirms that Gil Ju was right: the ice stone is in the palace and the real Danju must be the queen. And boy is she pissed at Jin Mu. She's aware that she'll now be under suspicion because Jin Mu underestimated Uk. Now that they think about it, hasn't Uk changed?
The Queen orders Jin Mu to find out who is responsible for this change. Considering even Naksu herself has no idea whose body she's in, everyone's in for a surprise!
Now that he has to lay low, Uk suggest returning to Danhyanggok. Mudeok says it's freezing this time of year and they'd starve to death. Uk is confused because he overheard her tell Yul the opposite. Mudeok admits she only said that to put him at ease. She tells Uk that Yul was worried about his pet bird, but he can tell there's something else she's not telling him.
Meanwhile, Songrim has a meeting about what happened. They all agree that Uk is in danger, but at least insisting to repair the constellation basin will give Songrim mages access to Cheonbugwan. Sang Ho, Yul, and Dang Gu are all sent to keep an eye on Jin Mu. As they head out, Yul asks if Mudeok is OK since he heard she was at Cheonbugwan. Sang Ho says Mudeok is fine, much to his relief.
He asks if a shifter really was revived and Sang Ho says that's why Lord Park had to leave without saying anything. Yul asks about Uk's reaction and Sang Ho says he didn't seem surprised. Yul is concerned about what Uk will do now that he's seen a soul shifter revived in front of his very eyes, but Sang Ho says Lord Park told him both soul shifters gone rogue and the ice stone had to be destroyed.
Sang Ho says that Uk seemed to disagree with the leader and asked that, as his friend, Yul should warn Uk about being so dangerously lax about sorcery. Yul himself is conflicted about what to do if Naksu loses control, and already tested Uk to see if he understood what it meant to have a soul shifter by your side.
Back to our main couple, Mudeok says that they should refrain from being alone for a while.
She's still afraid, but Uk insists that nothing happened when they hugged. Mudeok isn't convinced and says that he should run away or kill her if he feels his energy being drained. She says that if she kills him, it'd be unbearable. Uk cannot contain his joy and starts laughing, much to her surprise.
Mudeok is still trying to dance around saying her feelings out loud, but Uk heard her loud and clear: she'd rather die than live without him.
Bolstered by the knowledge that their feelings are mutual, he reassures Mudeok and says he'll get the ice stone so she won't feel the need to drain his energy. She warns him that he'll have to go against Songrim's leader and Uk says he'll just have to get stronger. Mudeok says that he lost 9 matches in a row so he shouldn't get cocky, but manages to crack half a smile.
We now visit CP in his quarters, going over what he knows. Jang Uk was unarmed, even though he was supposedly trespassing. Jin Mu had his sword on display. Cut to Uk, who returns home and is shocked to find Master Lee there. They're both suspicious of Uk being there and Mudeok says he's on probation. He says it's more like a vacation. Master Lee is happy to hear this, and says they should go fishing at Lake Gyeongcheondaeho.
Uk turns him down by saying that after losing 9 duels in a row, he must train instead. When asked why he's being so diligent, Uk says that he must do everything he can to make HMK proud. This touches her so much she says she'll prepare a late night meal and leaves. Now that she's gone, Master Lee wants to know the truth. Uk gives the short version and says that he broke the constellation basin at Cheonbugwan.
Uk then leaves to go look for fishing rods for Master Lee. He uses this chance to bait Mudeok and say that he was hoping to show Uk how to catch the legendary Golden Fish. It supposedly grows with the lake's energy.
As expected, she knows exactly what he's talking about and also falls for his trap. When Uk returns, she urges him to go fishing instead of training. Of course, he's not just fishing with Master Lee.
Once Uk realizes this, he puts more effort into trying to catch a Golden Fish. Meanwhile Dang Gu and his uncle are at the Jin estate and notice several blind women being led out. Apparently this is a daily thing. Is Jin Mu trying to wear Lady Jin's hope? Lord Park has serious business to discuss with Lady Jin though. He thinks that every family involved in the death of Naksu's father could have soul shifters.
He wants Jinyowon to use their relics to find them. Lady Jin reveals that she knew about the shifter they found last night, which means Jin Mu has already spoken to her. She says that Jin Mu told her that Songrim sent someone to trespass and frame him. Siding with Jin Mu and even calling him her brother is extremely unlike the Lady Jin we first met. Lord Park asks for her cooperation in finding soul shifters, but Lady Jin refuses. Lord Park suspects that Jin Mu offered his help only if she agreed not to cooperate with Songrim.
Lady Jin says that Jinyowon doesn't take orders from anyone and kicks Lord Park out. In the background, Lord Jin smiles evilly. The kids are completely unaware of the bad blood forming and Dang Gu presents Cho Yeon with a gift. They flirt and Lord Park emerges looking pissed. When Dang Gu asks Sang Ho about it, he says that he thinks the leaders had a big fight. That...might make a marriage difficult or impossible for them!
At Cheonbugwan, Lord Jin is instructing a maid on birthmarks and scars his daughter had. Bu Yeon had a scar on her arm from falling as a child, so they make a fresh cut in So Yee's arm and seal it with acid. She cries out and looks up at Jin Mu.
Hated that scene, thanks! We switch to Mudeok cleaning up, and get a closeup of a red mark behind her ear and a scar on her arm. They really want the viewers to understand that Naksu and Bu Yeon are both "Mudeok". She's about to go bring Uk some food but HMK wants her to stay behind and help set up a memorial service.
The servant Mr. Lee returns from the temple with words from a monk, meant to give spirits rest. The names are of particular interest to Mudeok.
She realizes that HMK is holding a memorial service for her and her father. Naksu doesn't know about the "ill-fated ties" HMK mentioned, so I wonder how this will make her feel. Or if the ceremony will unlock something. At the lake, Uk gets excited because he thinks he caught a Golden Fish, but it's just a normal fish. Master Lee is pleased anyway, since they can cook it and have it with their meal.
Mastering chisu will be the most important for Uk, I think, since he's been more or less using momentum to attack. He asks why Master Lee is helping him, and then teases him about HMK. Master Lee teases Uk right back and asks about Mudeok liking Yul. It turns out that this teasing was just a way for him to ease into what I suspected all along. He says that Yul's first love was Naksu and he recognized her through the bird whistle he gave her.
Uk is shocked into silence and Master Lee says he should go home because HMK is having a memorial for Cho Yeong and her father. At Cheonbugwan, the new constellation basin is being installed. One of the mages there says that the work is satisfactory and the mages from Songrim are dismissed. Dang Gu and Yul are doing their best to delay it, but Jin Mu is suspicious.
Yul asks if he's uncomfortable having them come to Cheonbugwan every day, but Jin Mu dismisses it by saying he's more concerned that Songrim is wasting time and money. While Jin Mu talks to the boys, So Yee can see through the illusory wall and recognizes her savior. Yeom Su finds her and says that Yul is out of her league. She only scoffs because if she's to become the future leader of Jinyowon, no man is out of her league.
Back at the Jang estate, HMK explains that there were no bodies to bury and it's unlikely anyone held a memorial for Cho Yeong and Cho Chung. But since Jang Gang and Cho Chung were friends, it's the least she can do. Mudeok is touched and says thank you "in their stead" and pays her respects to her father after HMK leaves.
And ofc Yul chooses this moment to visit and sees her crying in front of the altar. He silently laments how he shouldn't have left her at Danhyanggok and how he should tell Mudeok he knows who she really is, but he can't seem to gather the courage. HMK returns to find the incense has burned out and says it's time to clean up. As she burns the paper the monk gave her, Mudeok remembers her father's last moments.
Uk returns home & runs into Yul. He asks where Dang Gu is, and Yul says he thinks he's meeting someone. Dude. Are you not aware that he and Cho Yeon are a thing now?? Yul says that Uk's probation is over and Lord Park asks him to return to Songrim. Uk wants to talk over drinks, but Yul says he must return to Songrim. Yul then says he'll be leaving for another city soon.
Uk came home in time to see both Mudeok crying at her own funeral and Yul silently watching her. He remembers Yul telling him that a mage's duty is to destroy soul shifters, while sadly looking at Mudeok.
Mudeok shows up with tea and snacks for Yul, but doesn't see him. Uk realizes that Yul was probably talking about taking her with him. Mudeok thinks that he's upset because he has to return to Songrim and fight Cha Beom on his return, but Uk says he won't lose because he caught it. DID YOU MASTER CHISU?!
On the day of the duel, Uk is shocked to find out that the prize is not a golden toad but Mudeok herself. As expected with such a prize, it's not Cha Beom who will be fighting! IT'S YUL, THE TOP RANKED MAGE!!! Oh man this is gonna be so delicious.
