I’ve got comic con in a literal week and have literally only decided to do a lil rain carradine cosplay for it😨
I ordered a local shop to print my her T-shirt but they won’t have it done till Thursday, which is the day before I travel up to comic con 🙈 I have Nike low dunks black and white….. not reeboks bb 4000 ii mid (tho I got them ordered, and they might not here on time either 😞) so we improvising with the Nikes 🤷🏻
I got black cargo pants and I know she wears like baggy grey jeans tucked into her sneakers but I can’t find a pair of jeans that are that flexible so I’m going with the cargo ones because they baggy and they cuffed and I can tuck them into my Nikes…. It should be a look
I ordered her little red sweat band and my dad is helping me look for her bandage arm thing (we should have one in the first aid kit… if we could find it)
Hair wise, my hair is ever so slightly longer, a tad more Ellie from tlou rather than rain but I’ll mess it up a little and go from there. I gotta find a little vintage watch I can use but if not my good old reliable Apple Watch will suffice.
I’m not sure whether to distress my pants a little bit, I’m gonna have to mess with the T-shirt because it’s gonna be brand spanking new and it’s not going to be giving ✨alien✨
But yeah, any cosplay tips or rain costume additions that I haven’t mentioned please let me know…. No one will probably know who I’m going as BUT I WILL and that’s all that matters

Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers movie: Clues? and other things I noticed in the trailer Part 2
So part two of this, and moving forward.
Tumblr media
Fan con has a LOT here that is hard to spot but also interesting to spot.
Monkey at the big shot of Fan Con might be a nod to Heebee and Jeebee (tricksters from Chip and Dale's R&R) or the monkeys that work for King louie in Talespin.
What I also caught: Pirates of the Great Lakes banner, April O'Neil cosplayer up front of stage, Wonder-woman look like cosplay, I think maybe King Bob from Recess also in the front by the stage. A Harley Quin from SS with purple hair. No idea who the T-Rex is. Nod to We're Back?
Also dude in white wig and blue jumpsuit way off on the left side of the screen might be a character too. Not sure who they are though.
Tumblr media
Moana cosplay, I am not sure who the lion character is dressed as Palpatine, There's a tall buff animated character in the back with a beard, Not sure who he is. Is the lady in the very front of that shot that is clearly an anime character a nod to Crayon Shin Chan? I feel like she is.
Tumblr media
Cat creature: Little John's chest from robin hood, Mowgli's pants, Fat Cat's daughter's head? because it has the markings but it has Felicia's (Great Mouse detective's) hair bow, Ralph's arm, Coat I feel like it could be from anyone, the other arm is driving me crazy because I know it's from a show and a character, just can't place it because the shoulder pad and arm are distinctive. I think the cannon is supposed to be a nod to Megatron's cannon, One leg is definitely a robot the other I'm not sure.
Tumblr media
Just for the weird fun of it. License plate on the car in the fan con 57 Chevy. Could be a nod to a series or a joke to my mother the car, or something. I just find it interesting that they had that in there.
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure most noticed Gadget here, and she's wearing a black uniform making me think maybe she's working as some spy team thing now. Zipper was wearing a polo shirt, so maybe he's just chilling now.
Tumblr media
Has anyone figured out yet what the name of this group is? I'm guessing they're going to be playing a part in the plot as sort of antagonists and there's some ties to another character, namely Prince Jahli. I feel like the guy on the scooter is going to be a pain in the ass to the team, and maybe Gadget is working for them? Or they're just a short group to show what she's been up to.
Tumblr media
Okay so the interesting thing here is that Chip has his ear changed into something more akin to pluto or Goofy. And we see this again earlier in the trailer when they're running past the Chevy. So it's clear part of the Fan Con is going to play a larger role in probably the midsection of the movie, or the end of the first act.
Tumblr media
Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack and Flutter Shy, can be spotted. Not sure where Rarity is, or who the orange pony is.
Tumblr media
Not sure who this mouse is and who it's supposed to be, but it looks more loony tunes than Disney. Or maybe Hanna and Barbara.
Tumblr media
Apparent we have Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat, which is interesting. Though I doubt the character will show up again after this.
Continued in part 3 of this.

SOULciety Character Profile 3
Undyne
Age: 28
Job: Guard Major - Oversees all the platoons under their various Guard Captains in each district of Ebott.
Personality: Brash and Blunt she is almost exactly like her original counterpart, only she has far more tact when it comes to delicate situations and making friends. A creative soul, she enjoys live performances and acting. She is also very dedicated to her country, but not so much the royal family.
Appearance: Has long wild red hair that flows around a tall blue and red fin which curves from the crown of her head down to the nape of her neck, matching the set of fins that pass as her ears. Completely blind she also wears a cybernetic visor (think close to jodie laforge with cyberpunk 2077 twist) across her eyes to help see and that produces digital eye replicas so others can tell her facial expressions, it also lights up in different colors and pixels dependent on her mood. Dresses in an off shoulder white tank top and blue military pants and combat boots. A band of the Deltarune adorns her left bicep, and she had a set of three gills just above each hip spanning from her front to back. [PIC]
Weapon: Halberd
Random 1: She is against SOUL technology and hates how she must depend on it for every day things such as sight.
Random 2: Met Sans at one of his music performances and became best friends with him over a shared love of it.
Random 3: Hates anime and cartoons over how unrealistic and exaggerated they are, would prefer to watch Action movies or Macbeth.
Random 4: Can’t stand cold food but is an excellent cook.
Random 5: Still friends with Papyrus, but they spend their time mostly with him trying to ‘convert her to the anime deskside’ and her constantly turning him down in various hilarious ways. Their training sessions are actual combat.
Random 6: She adores MTT, mainly for how his mech body relies on non-soul technology.
Random 7: Her natural eyes are solid white due to loss of magic color, and blindness is a birth defect as a side effect of the SOUL magic powered society.
Alphys
Age: 26
Job: Scientist
Personality: Outgoing and sociable, only shy when meeting idols and  people she admires both in the work place and at anime conventions and cosplay cons. She is passionate about her work and has a great dislike for people that mock her and her friends hobbies and interests. Slow to anger but when done pops off with a mouth like a sailor. Fascinated with discovering new things and enjoys traveling.
Appearance: The shortest out of the cast she wears a pink Rar Rar Doki Doki head band and a black lab coat, under which is a hot pink set of nurses scrubs. She wears contact lenses that glow in the dark and often has many colorful bracelets lining her wrists and arms. [PIC]
Weapon: Kusarigama with a Justice SOUL housed in the iron weight. Electrified to it turns whatever it strikes to ash or catches it on fire.
Random 1: When shy she doesn’t stutter, her hands stim.
Random 2: Is second best scientist next to Gaster, Sans is her assistant despite him being Gaster’s brother. They rarely hang out outside of the labs as Alphys detests the jokes Sans likes to pop off about manga and anime just to rile her.
Random 3: She and Pap started as rivals over who was number one Rar Rar fan, but eventually ended up falling for each other. (They still argue over it occasionally but it’s flirty now)
Random 4: Was friends with Chara and Asriel.
Random 5: Loves sweets and candy. Her favorite snack is candied apples.

Halloween 2019 costume ideas: Power Rangers pt. 2
Tumblr media
Jason Bischoff’s Beast Morpher Rangers
Jason Bischoff was the former global marketing guy for Hasbro and is an artist.
He is a genuine fan of tokusatsu (mentioned Kamen Rider on his Twitter and his love of Ex-Aid and several Heisei Rider shows) and it shows. In his final months with Hasbro, he and a buddy of his named Micheal O’ Hare came up with art for concepts of new Rangers not original to the Go-Busters source material.
The first is a Green Ranger based on the Frog Buddyroid from the Go-Busters Summer Film, “what if she had a Ranger companion”?  The next is a gray Polar Bear Ranger and an Orange female scorpion Ranger based on Jason’s viewings of Kyuranger and Sasori Orange.
A Bat Ranger based on Blaze, a “what if the bad guy reformed and got a new suit” kind of thing. (though given its Batman’s 80th, you could also use it as an excuse to go around saying in a gravely voice “I’m Bat-Ranger!”)
Lastly, a Magenta Sea Urchin Ranger and Hammerhead Beast Bot for you and a buddy to dress up as.
X-Men/Power Rangers Amalgam
Tumblr media
A while ago at the Edmonton Expo in Alberta, Canada, Jason David Frank discovered a cosplay that had to be seen to be believed. A Canadian fan mixed the White Ranger with Wolverine. Mr. JDF then posted this to instagram
Now, this isn’t the first time that X-Men and Power Rangers have crossed paths as both shared the Fox Kids block on Saturday Mornings in the 1990s and a SDCC gatefold variant cover paid tribute to X-Men #1. Not to mention MMPR’s comic rights were once with Marvel and the whole Marvel/Super Sentai connection. The idea of X-Men Rangers is an interesting one, why not complete it?
Cyclops Red, Jubilee Yellow, Beast Blue, Pink Phoenix (if considering season 2 MMPR), Gambit Black and Rouge Green. As an alternative to Wolvie, Storm can be the White Ranger or added as the 7th Ranger team member of any color you choose. Add a Professor Z (a tube head in a hover wheelchair or a blue bald guy) and you have the complete set! Or go wild and make a Brotherhood of Mutants version of a Ranger Team!
Lord “Zackkon”
Tumblr media
Submitted for your approval, one Zachary Taylor, a virtuous teen who was offered a deal with the devil to be something greater, but refused. What if the youth, resentful of the choice of his team’s leadership, accepted the path that Rita Repulsa offered?
I envision a Black Ranger who fuses his power first with the Dragon Coin, but then with powers of Green and Black Rangers after him. The core idea is to combine the Mastodon motif with a Dragon in a way that aesthetically looks good.
Remi, the Orange Solar Ranger
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Ari’s Legacy Wars Bio confirms it!)
Last year, I pitched to the fandom to option dressing up as newest kid on the block, Ari aka the (Purple) Solar Ranger. This year, I’m submitting her life partner and love Remi who became the most recent addition to the Solar Rangers and another of a growing number of representatives of LGBTQ+ heroes. For those looking to cosplay with the person they love or for a fun cosmic night of Halloween, here is a Ranger couple that we hope to see more of in the future.
Tumblr media
A Morphing Master
The Morphing Masters are the mysterious all powerful beings who protected the Morphin Grid and dedicated their lives to studying it. The Boom! Studios comics dedicated some time to explaining them a bit more in Beyond the Grid, including a new look.
Why be a mere three dimensional linear being on All Hallow’s Eve or at a con when you can wear a look that says “I am a supreme being beyond your trivialities and I look fabulous doing it.”
Tumblr media
Warbunny
Aka my new favorite Power Rangers monster. Warbunny is a ‘roided up anthropomorphic rabbit whom, if his Conan inspired garb hasn’t telegraphed, talks like a certain former Governator and wields a large Warhammer that fires energy blasts. Cosplayers who do Warcraft costumes and other fantasy cosplay might gravitate towards this one since it parodies Arnie and Conan.
Tumblr media
The Soul Era MMPR Rangers
In the comics, we learn there was a ill fated team in 1969 which fought Psycho Green. Pitch: What if there were a MMPR Rangers team 5 years later in 1975, the year Gorenger was created? The era of disco and soul, big cars, afro hair kung fu movies and Watergate. The challenge I present is combining the Gorenger suits with the MMPR suits.
Disco collar capes, platform heel variants of the boots, flashy brighter neon colors with glitter and woodgrain on the weapons because products in the 1970s had woodgrain even if it didn’t make any aesthetic sense to do so. Civilian forms would be based on 1970s fashion, at least one Ranger should have a real or fake Burt Reynolds-sized mustache and/or afro for period accuracy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dark Super Megaforce Yellow
For Ranger fans who wanna let out their inner bad girl, I present another Dark Ranger redesign of a Power Ranger from Battle For the Grid. The Gokaiger suit decked out in black and pants and a gold trim “coat” is just so good, really makes the yellow pop and looks more “piratey” than the standard suit. As you can see you can opt for an all black undershirt and yellow gloves or vice versa.
A new standard Lord Drakkon created for evil Rangers is that unlike their heroic counterparts, all of them have blood red visors instead of the standard black tint. (This also recently extends to Sentai, but we’ll get to that later.)
Houou Ranger (Chun-Li ver.)
While Ryu got to play Power Ranger, the devs of Legacy Wars decided to let none of the other characters participate in the fun. Many fans who love and respect Chun-Li were naturally outraged that she got shafted and began speculating what kind of Blue Ranger she would be. There was artistic debate as to what motif she would have with most gravitating towards a tiger, a peacock or her totem of fighting style, the crane.
I on the other hand think if Ryu lifted a Dairanger’s name for his Ranger form, it only makes sense the developers would do the same for Chun Li and give her a Chinese Phoenix motif.
The common consensus all fans share is that such a form has parts of Miss Li’s costume as part of her Ranger outfit much like with Ryu Ranger with his boxing gloves, bandanna and black belt. Whatever you choose, you are sure to be a knockout!
Tumblr media
Supersonic Green
The first Green gone bad chronologically in the comics, Trek was a bitter Xybiran who got sick of being benched while his team went on missions and soon that bitterness turned into hate as he empathically read the feelings of his teammates about him. He murdered his entire team and then pledged allegiance to Dark Specter to become Psycho Green.
The Fiveman team these Supersonic Rangers are based on never had a sixth ranger, since sixth Rangers were not really a thing until Zyuranger. This bring up one conundrum for this Ranger in terms of those wishing to design a full costume...what exactly is Trek’s helmet motif?
For those who have never seen Fiveman, the theme was about types of school education each Ranger was part of. Red was a science teacher, Blue was a physical education teacher, Black was a language teacher, Pink was a math teacher and Yellow was a music teacher.
I suppose a history book on the helmet for social studies would be appropriate as would be an apple or money symbols for home economics. It should be noted if one commits to making a helmet, the Fiveman/Supersonic Ranger helmet visors each have lines running through them to signify their numerical designation (Red has 1, Blue has 2 etc.) so Green would have six.
That’s all I’ve got!
Happy Halloween Ranger Nation!

Another Dream
I went to a cosplay convention with my grandma. I was dressed as the OUAT Prince Charming (not a choice anywhere near the top of my list, but I looked good), and Grandma was the Fairy Godmother from the Disney animated Cinderella (an important distinction, seeing as most other modern interpretations seem to involve corsetry and cleavage, which is...no. It's no.) Anyway, there was some kind of problem with the woman running admissions (she couldn't do math, like, at all), and @markiplier, who was, apparently, in charge of the con, passer by, swooped in, and gave me and Grandma free passes. Then he and Grandma had a brief discussion about favorite horror movies, and kids kept wanting their picture with us (mostly her). There was a parade. Like, inside the hotel. No announcement, either. Just Markiplier appearing with a baton and leading a parade, made up of attendees, why music played from nowhere. We were encouraged to sing along, so I did, and at one point had a four-word solo, getting an approving nod from Mark, stopping me from dying of embarrassment. After that, we explored the con and checked out things happening. There was a tea shop, doing a fancy high tea. I caught a glimpse of a guy--not his face, just his back--dressed as what could have been a male Snow White, asking the waitress for an apple pastry thing, and being turned down "because it would tempt fate". I had just had the thought of asking for a picture with him when I woke up to pee. Oh, well.

because I’m getting excited about bronycon (august, baby!!), have a brony au with our favorite boys!
(and please, no hating on mlp or bronies, this is just for fun)(also, warning: super long!!)
the boys all got into mlp at various times.  it was kind of like dominos - once one started watching it out of curiosity by it’s popularity, another one would catch them in the act.  chirps would inevitably ensue, but days later the theme song would be heard, barely at a possible decibel for the human ear, from the same guy’s room.  and on it went, until a lecture from a very loud, drunk shitty about society’s expectations on men and saying “fuck you” to the system forced them to ponder on their shame for watching a show for little girls.  they came to the conclusion - who the fuck cares?  they were allowed to enjoy whatever they wanted as long as it didn’t hurt anybody, and it was a good show.  this allowed them to get more comfortable with the idea and finally watch the show together in the living room on saturday mornings.
eventually when they become big enough fans, they realize bronycon is happening in baltimore, maryland - a mere 6 hours from samwell! (boston, really).  and of course, if they’re going to be going, they need to create cosplays!!
obviously, bitty is the quintessential pinkie pie.  with his zest for life, baking, and parties galore, he embodies her persona.   in his pink short shorts, pink button down over a cutie mark t-shirt, and ridiculously patterned knee socks, he zips around the convention like a butterfly, charming everyone he meets.  he also brings pies to share with the convention-goers that don’t want to pay $10 for a piece of pizza.  he likes to go the social media forums such as Equestria Daily as well as the YouTubers, to learn how to make himself an even bigger online presence.
jack never really got into MLP like everyone else did, but he definitely appreciates the messages.  he watches episodes as background noise to his studying or hockey-play creating, and thinks about the kids he taught in pee-wee hockey and how much they’d like this show.  he’s not entirely sure the names of all the ponies (the pink one is definitely Pinkie Pie, right? And the rainbow one is Rainbow Fast? or something) but the boys beg him to join them and he acquiesces.  they dub him applejack, the down to earth pony who doesn’t take crap from anyone and is as strong as a bull.  he is a great foil to everyone else’s crazy antics, and he’s happy to take as many photos as possible of all the great costumes and crowds.  (and the boys forgive him when he looks at his fake tail tucked into his jeans and asks “who am I again?” mostly because in a cowboy hat and boots he is knocking everyone dead). oh, and freckles, ya’ll.
lardo, to no one’s surprise, immediately claims rainbow dash.  they all argue for a bit because EVERYONE wants to be rainbow dash, but with a lift of her eyebrow the decision is finalized.  she goes all the way and dyes her hair all the colors of the rainbow, claiming she had wanted to do it for awhile.  she rocks a letterman jacket with rainbow’s cutie mark as well as sneakers and some cute gym shorts.  she goes to the art panels as well as those that teach artists how to break into cartooning and such.  it’s not her usual type of art, but it’s always good stuff to know.
ransom becomes the show’s star herself, twilight sparkle.  with his anxiety about school and need to be the best in all things education, he is the best to capture twilight’s adorkable nature.  plus, with his connections to everyone on campus and his innumerable facebook friends, he the best candidate for the princess of friendship.  in his purple sweater vest and fake wings he scours the marketplace for rare merchandise.  he is definitely the collector of the group, collecting mostly adult merchandise that should not be played with, such as the funko figurines. seriously, holster once tried to touch them.  he will not make that mistake again.
holster, for his part, makes a great rarity.  he claims to be the “fashionista” of the group, for his part in constantly trying to throw out ransom’s salmon shorts.  everyone loudly disagrees, many stating he has the fashion sense of a white jock, but he holds his head high, dammit!  it also helps that he plays piano, as rarity plays a key-tar in equestria girls.  the group is horribly split between those who think of eqg as canon and those who don’t.  he wears a white suit vest and pants with a purple shirt underneath, and goes to all the forums with the horse-famous as the key speakers because he idolizes them.
shitty, for his part, makes an extremely loud fluttershy.  while not even in the vicinity of the same personality group, he extols fluttershy’s virtues as one of the characters with the most personality development in the show, and will tell anyone who will listen that he is an advocate for the shy and those who feel like doormats.  in a yellow crop top with her cutie mark and a pink skirt, he draws crowds with his soapbox speeches and wild flowing hair.  he likes to go to forums with the show’s creators and directors to ask questions about feminism, the matriarchy, and bronyhood.  and for the love of god do NOT let him out on the streets, because he will confront any scoffing bystander with the question “does this threaten your fragile masculinity?!”
the frogs don’t actually go to bronycon, but the boys coerce them into dressing up as the cutie mark crusaders for a photoshoot before the con.  dex is the long suffering apple bloom, arguably the leader of the group and the one most down to earth.  chowder gets to be the sweet and excitable sweetie belle, while nursey is the talented but disabled scootaloo.  the pictures start out nice, but quickly devolve into pictures of the three of them squabbling and falling over each other in an attempt to tug at each other’s pigtails. so, it actually turned out perfect.
imagine everyone’s surprise when they are walking through the con and come across tango and whisky as derpy and starlight glimmer, respectively. tango gets excited, asking “when did you get here? are you having fun? when did you make your costumes? do you like my costume? I’m derpy!  well technically i’m muffins but I don’t like that they changed the name because it was completely unnecessary-”
whiskey just looks mortified and mutters a gruff “hello.”  the boys sense his discomfort and comment on his outfit, ripped jeans and a t-shirt with starlight’s logo on it.  it's interesting that he’s dressed as one of the most controversial characters on the show, though no one points that out.
and finally, when a few years have passed and jack and kent have become friendly again, kent insists on joining them for the next convention as sunset shimmer.  “it’s ironic and fitting! plus she’s a fucking badass!”  since he and jack are both famous in the NHL now their pictures are taken constantly, kent is not afraid to flirt with the camera.  it’s a controversial topic in the sports world because of the oddity, but he takes it in stride and it goes a long way for help people come to terms with bronies.
after all, what are they but people who are fans of a show with cute ponies, a great message and engaging characters?
