Me realizing that I was partially right. When the blood dropped on the baby blanket there was a shot of it clearly in between shauna and tai and I was like I am sooo reading too far into this but something about the symbol being between shauna and tai (+ knowing that they fought later + shauna just being difficult to read )

At the time cj and i were both like tai is v against it and shauna walked away too. But shauna is complicated and hard to read bc she's constantly shoving her own feelings down and craves uncertainty and control so there was a chance she'd end up on lotties side and also a chance she absolutely would not (not to mention That Scene where she confided in lottie specifically).

But instead it was the opposite where shauna is begging tai to be on her side RE LOTTIE (insert my agenda here about how tai is "on vans side" and shauna is like you're supposed to be with me!). Tai went to the blessings. Tai is finding peace in the blessings. Tai is healthier because she is sleeping through the night. But shauna is still scared and lost and without a drive or grip and she feels fucking out of control bc she's having a baby and lottie thinks it's this blessing that's going to change everything and that is an insane amount of pressure when they're all just teenagers lost in the woods.

So she's rightfully freaking out and tai is the person she feels closest to and trusts the most and also the person she has always been able to count on to be on HER side and vice versa. Shauna has stood with tai when others did not. Shauna feels most comfortable around tai. They understand each other so it's unfathomable that tai might not be on her side here is not the person supporting HER.

a/n: i’m gonna cry dani ilysm😭😭 i got a bit carried away with this so im sorry if it seems kind of choppy 😥

the loud bass blaring from the speakers across the house was starting to give you a headache. you were a couple drinks in and the booze was just catching up to your system, swirling all your thoughts into one big whirlpool.

it’s been a long night of talking to random people and singing along to chart toppers from about 5 years ago. right now, you just wanted to find your girlfriend, really badly. you lost lottie at some point earlier in the night when she was pulled away by one of the other yellowjackets to play a drinking game with the rest of the team, and you hung out with some other friends from school.

navigating the sweaty, rowdy crowd was just awful. you were pretty sure this was practically the entire student population from your school, crammed into jeff sadecki’s stupidly big house. after squeezing past a couple rooms, you finally set your eyes on a familiar head of brunette curls.

you stopped in the doorway and watched on as lottie was zoomed in on an intense game of beer bong. she made that face she does when she’s concentrating — eyebrows furrowed, biting her bottom lip, the slight squint of her eyes. you couldn’t help but smile from the sidelines as she aimed the winning shot, and of course, she made it. a mixture of groans and loud whooping filled the room, as lottie happily turned to her teammate, shauna, and gave her a solid high-ten.

despite not drinking anything else, you somehow feel giddier than you did 5 minutes ago. but connecting the dots would’ve required too much brain power. instead, you stumble over to lottie and wrap her in a warm hug from behind. “congrats, babe!” you wish her with a grin, speaking louder than you thought you were in your head.

lottie yelps but an immediate smile appears once she sees you. “hi baby!” she greets, pulling you in for a chaste kiss, before her face contorts into a grimace. “oh, god, you smell of booze. how much have you drunk?”

lottie wasn’t typically one to drink a lot at parties, she wasn’t a big fan of the taste of beer. chances were you’d catch her smoking something instead.

“uhhm, like, just a bit…” you slurred out with an airy giggle, to which lottie groaned (affectionately). “i think you’ve had enough, we should get going soon, okay?” she said, pulling you aside by the arm. you whined at that, not wanting to leave so early. “nnooo, lottieee…” “come on, let’s get you sobered up a bit.”

whilst the two of you were walking to the kitchen hand in hand, you tried tiptoeing to give lottie another kiss, only to trip on an armchair in front of you and lose your balance. thankfully, your girlfriend has an insane reaction time and managed to catch you. “are you okay?” she hurriedly asked, pulling you up. “wanna kiss youu…!” was all you said with a cheeky smile. “no kisses until you’re sobered up!” lottie spoke firmly and you pouted the rest of the way there.

she pours you a glass of water and tells you to drink up. “mm, kiss first?” lottie rolled her eyes at how persistent you’re being, but eventually caved and gave you a peck on your cheek. “that’s all you’re getting. now drink up and we can leave!” content with what you got, you obliged and drank everything.

a moment passes and both of you stay standing, leaned against the kitchen island. lottie reaches over to brush your hair with her hand, strands getting entangled between her fingers. you turn to look up at her with your best puppy dog eyes, begging her once again for a kiss. “pleaseee, i’m not drunk anymore…” however, she was strong-willed enough to shake her head. “let’s get you home baby, you gotta rest.”

the drive back to your house was a comfortable silence, until you started mumbling along to the song on the radio, extremely out of tune. eliciting a laugh out of lottie made you grin and filled you with a sense of pride, that same giddiness overwhelming you

“alrighty, we’re here.” she announced as she parked the car. she hurriedly got out and came to the other side of the car to open your door and help you out. (you’ve proven several times that night that walking in a straight line would be a challenge.)

reaching your doorstep, you realised lottie would have to leave soon, and she’s only properly kissed you once. “do you wanna, maybe stay the night? my parents aren’t home and… i could use the company,” you asked, your fingers tracing up and down her arm. lottie’s face grew warm at your request, “really? i-i mean, yeah, of course!”

lottie’s hand reached for the doorknob, but you stopped her. “wait!” she turned to look at you, her big eyes widening in confusion. “can i have my kiss now?” you asked one last time. “pleeasseee?”

the corners of lottie’s lips quirked upwards as she let out a soft giggle. “fine, since you’ve been so patient with me tonight,” she murmured as she cupped your cheeks and finally gave you that kiss you’ve been yearning for all night. you instantly melted into it and rested your hands on her shoulders, pulling her in even closer

“there.” lottie said breathlessly as you two pulled away for air. you felt lightheaded and just stared back at her, dazed. “now let’s get you to bed.”

Despite the ecstasy high still coursing through her system, Callie could sense the tension radiating off her mother. It was late and her mind was beginning to race as they got close to home -- it was bad enough that mom had practically dragged her from the club in front of her friends, but there was that guy her mom was with... and her skin was beginning to crawl with the knowledge of whose uniform she was actually wearing. It wasn't like Jackie died wearing this, but...

So when they arrived home, who could blame her for wanting to get upstairs and get it off of her as fast as possible? It was late, she was tired, and Halloween had already cascaded into the first of November, by the clock's standards. Callie didn't want to face her mom any further -- she naively thought that maybe they were okay, that it was just a misunderstanding, but there was an undeniable shame that flushed her cheeks and made her heart race.

Her mother's vicious tone came as a shock to the girl, whose emotions were already addled and unusual for her dour teenage outlook. Callie stopped, gripping the banister for stability before she turned, eyes turned down with embarrassment and already welling with tears.

"I'm sorry, mom! I didn't know whose it was!" She blurted, though it was a weak excuse. If it had been her mothers'... the girl figured it only brought bad memories, and was better off not sitting in her closet as a symbol of tragedy and heartache. Her mom never seemed the sentimental type either... "Look, I don't have a good reason, okay? I just... I feel like my whole life has been defined by your past and I just wanted to feel like I had some sort of control over that for one fucking night!"

Shauna was shaking so badly she was practically buzzing. Her hands white-knuckled the steering wheel the entire drive home, not daring to glance in the rearview in case her mind fucked with her again, putting Jackie in Callie's place.

One brisk walk and the front door slamming so hard Shauna heard the knocker bounce against the wood, and they were inside. Shauna saw Callie start for the stairs and snarled, "Callie, get back here."

Pacing in an effort to work off the rage pulsing through every cell in her body, she stuttered as she tried to form words, wincing with the knowledge that Callie would just think she was being weak. It was so familiar, not just from their seemingly constant feud that started when Callie hit puberty, but decades before. Their surroundings blurred and shifted, she saw log cabin walls, then Jackie's baby-pink room, then things jerked back into place.

"This is-- This is too far, Callie. Don't you get that?! You took something important to me, that I can't get back, and-- And rubbed dirt in it! And ripped it!" Shauna bit her lip, chanting internally, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. "I just-- Why?!"

A soft thud hits your back, eliciting a laugh out of you. You look up to see the culprit on the other side of her bed, Jackie, with a pillow in her hands.

“Did you just hit me with a pillow?” You grin, mirroring her smile.

She shrugs, doing it again.

“Hey!” You sit up properly to try and grab it out of her grasp, but you end up in a position you’d found yourself time and time again with her. She cages you in between her arms, getting you to lay on her while she throws the pillow across the room.

“Is this your way of asking me to cuddle?” You ask, already reciprocating her embrace.

“Mhm,” She hums.

“You’ve been quiet,” You whisper, pushing her hair out of her face. “What’s on your mind?”

“College,” she replies with a faraway look, but her stare is almost intense, as if she’s viewing the future through your eyes. (She is.) “I’m not forcing you to go to Rutgers, am I?”

The way her voice tapers off melts your heart. “You know I’ll go to the ends of the Earth for you, right?”

You know she was always the kind of person to be sure of herself—one of the reasons you fell deeply in love with the girl. But lately, as the future closes in, she’s been plagued with second thoughts ever since they lost Nationals and she had a fight with her best friend, Shauna, that almost ended their ten-year long friendship.

You pull away from the embrace, lying down completely on the bed when you signal for her to do the same. Both your eyes are on the ceiling.

“Talk to me,” You take her hand, intertwining it with your own.

“I am talking to you.”

“Okay, smartass,” you chuckle. “Tell me if everything you told me before Nationals.”

She remembers that night, ditching the party early to go home and spend the rest of the night in your arms while she tells you the ways you fit perfectly into her future life, then deeming it ‘our future,’ rather than hers alone.

“Well, she begins with a sigh. “You’re coming to Rutgers with me. We’ll do roadtrip with all our stuff packed into my mom’s minivan.”

You hum, nodding for her to continue.

“We’re both gonna work and get our own place by the second year, and it’s gonna have a cute theme, and there’s gonna be pictures of us on the wall to make people jealous.”

You laugh, “Who’s gonna come over to our place?”

“Our friends, of course. The team could visit.”

You begin playing with her hand, fiddling with the promise ring you’d given her junior year.

“We can go to college parties, and you’ll protect me from anyone who hits on me,” She giggles. “Obviously, we’re gonna study together. Hold each other accountable, right?”

“Right.” You bob your head, turning to admire her side profile.

“Then we’re gonna get a dog. Then a cat. Then we’ll make sure they’re friends.”

“Mhm.”

She can feel your stare, so she looks back. "What?" She chuckles.

"Nothing," You mutter. "You're just beautiful."

She grins wide, fully turning her body to the side so she can scoot closer to you. "You're a sap."

You look smug, "But you love it."

"I do," She puts a hand on your jaw, a soft touch that never gets old. At her own words, she is reminded of another thing. "We've never talked about getting married, have we?"

You don't miss the way her tone drops a little. "We haven't," you shake your head. "But you know I'll do anything for you. I'll marry you no matter what it takes."

Her eyes become glassy, and you press your forehead to hers.

"You wanna get married?" Her voice almost a whisper, you can feel her breath on your lips.

"I gave you the promise ring for a reason, Jackie." You say, a little more serious this time. "I'll make it happen. For both of us. And I know you're gonna look fucking amazing, and I'll cry when I see you in the dress."

"What did I do to deserve you?"

"I should be asking that question."

Becoming more comfortable, snuggling into her, you both fall asleep and dream of your future.

walter seeing.... something?? so far he's only really been associated with misty, and characters who are.... strictly associated and talk the most to one certain character in yellowjackets usually.... err. don't turn out the best, is all I'm saying!!!

we've been seeing a LOT of the girl with long blonde hair in the newest trailer that got introduced in season 2. One shot of shauna talking, with her in frame, and another with a knife against her throat. I definitely could see her playing a much bigger role in season 3.

shauna being pulled underwater?? Possibly more evidence that there IS an actual super natural force in the forest?? Or another hunt????

LASTLY.... who is that girl in the final scene???? Is the the blonde side character I talked abt 2 paragraphs ago??? Literally no other evidence on her so I have no clue whatsoever.
