Dreamlanders
A lot of the beings mentioned in the Dream Quest are barely described if they even get more than a name-drop. As I generally try to avoid Chaosium canon, that gave me a lot of freedom to do whatever I wanted.
The sniflunk is a particular case. It's almost entirely original, only known from the story by the mysterious webbed footprints surrounding Carter's exsanguinated riding zebra.

Okay, now this was very entertaining. Both our leads are excellent, the supporting cast does their jobs ably, and the background theme music is very catchy. And the guy who plays his friend/colleague is excellent, and I'm glad they were able to give him a sort-of action sequence to really redeem himself.
Vedha's entry is very well shot (as are the scene where he escapes from his place, right before the second story and the entire climax), the showdowns between Vikram & Vedha are cleverly filmed to highlight not only the acting but also the story (and, of course, the stories being told within the story).
And, maybe best of all - you can sort of see part of the final twist coming (though, well, the whole thing is just maybe a bit much to have imagined), but then, when you think about it (aka, when Vikram is mentioning it), you realize that almost everything was laid out in front of you from the beginning. It unfolds like a detective/mystery novel - the clues are there, and when you go back, you'll notice them for sure.
I did catch the whole Chekhov's gun bit with the left/right-handedness - as soon as that happens, I was like "this will become important later," though I obviously didn't realize the gravity of the situation that it would create. But yes, this storytelling is masterful, and getting two top actors to portray this stylishly shot movie just makes it wonderful.
The Shatak/Chanda story sort of goes as expected, which is almost heart-breaking. The Vikram/Priya story obviously ends better for them, and while it ends up being sorta just glossed over in the background, at least they sorta make a small attempt to dig into this idea of them working on opposite sides (but, of course, that's a minor part of the movie so it doesn't get the focus it would've if it was the main story plot).
I had avoided this movie to this point because I felt like it would be a lot of unnecessary/excess violence - and while there was quite a bit of violence and a little bit of gore, it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. A lot of the killings we sorta just see the after effects or the blood (Hrithik's killing of the man who ordered the attempt on Shatak and the thing with the sword immediately come to mind), and most of the other stuff is just fighting or shooting (one killing towards the end being the major exception).
I think I may have to give the Tamil movie a shot in the very near future.

#Mysterious_Prophecies
Nostradamus wrote in his prophetic book Century that
That great saint will be born in an island (Hindustan country) surrounded by ocean on three sides. At that time, ignorance will be dark due to lack of elemental knowledge. There will be an outcry due to the decline of morality. That poet (religious leader) will do his sadhna considering Guruvar i.e. Guruji as his best (best) and will get him done. That religious leader (Tatvadarshi Saint) will make all the nations bow down with the power of his religion i.e. the power of devotion and through Tatvgyan. It would be madness to stop it i.e. to hinder its propagation in Asia. (Shatak 1 verse 50)
That poet is Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji.

Prem Bhawan: Where Divine Love Meets Human Hearts, Inaugurated by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
All over the world, people engage in devotion (bhakti) to God genuinely believing that they are worshipping God. But the real bhakti is achieved only after a genuine saint (Guru) enters our life. Guru enlightens us with the meaning of true bhakti and it is our great fortune that Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is our Guru. He descended on this earth to make us worthy of receiving the highest form of love (bhakti). Countless obeisances to our Guru who accepted us and introduced us to the divinity of bhakti.
Unveiling the true form of bhakti, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj wrote in Bhakti Shatak,
prathama sadhana bhakti karu, taba mana nirmala hoya milai viśuddha bhakti taba, guru anukampa hoya ||
The fifth original Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj resolved to establish Prem Bhavan to reveal that divine love.
On 28th Feb 2011, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj laid the foundation stone of this structure. This air-conditioned circular hall has an area of 73,000 square feet and is 270 feet high. It accommodates 10,000 aspirants to sit comfortably to perform sadhana. The top of the circular dome looks like the petals of a fully bloomed lotus in the middle of which sits a golden kalash. The hall has 5 beautifully carved portals which open into huge corridors surrounding the hall. The ceiling of the hall is painted blue and has L.E.D lights embedded in it; together they give the illusion of a starry night. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is situated on one side of the massive stage inside the hall whereas the other side is adorned with Shri Radha Krishna. This dome shaped Prem Bhavan is unparalleled and astonishing in every way. Upon entering this place, one feels that the heart-rendering cries of the aspirants are reaching the abode of God. Intoxicated by the nectar of kirtans some aspirants dance in a love trance whereas others offer tears of love to God while glorifying Him and His names. The three dhams — Bhakti Dham, Shyama Shyam Dham, Rangeeli Mahal; three temples — Bhakti Mandir, Prem Mandir, and Kirti Mandir; two large halls for sadhana — Bhakti Bhavan, Prem Bhavan… All these are embodiments of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s grace which He constantly showers on all aspiring souls.
By the extreme grace and inspiration of Bhaktiyog Rasavataar Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, the newly built, grandiose, and awe-striking Prem Bhavan was inaugurated on 14th January 2018.
This was followed by Kalash Procession at 2:00 pm. All three Didies placed attractively decorated golden kalashes on their heads and led the procession into Prem Bhavan. Following them in rows were Preachers and satsangies, all of whom were carrying the kalashes on their heads and chanting the priceless names of God. Upon reaching inside everyone, full of devotion, washed the hall with the water in the Kalash.
On 14" January 2018, at 8:00 am, anxiously waiting for the inauguration of Prem Bhavan. The excitement of devotees carrying blue and yellow balloons, 3 which signify Shri Krishna and Shri Radha respectively, was a sight to behold. Seated in an ornate palanquin, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj approached the hall flooding everyone with His extreme love and grace, while being accompanied by the band. Badi Didi welcomed Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj with a flower garland. It was auf followed by the resounding sound of ceremonious Swasti Ved Mantras in Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s voice. Thereafter, Didies venerated Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj before cutting the ribbon. Tears flowed from the eyes of all three Didies, this was the true washing of the hall. Prior to all this, Badi Didi had commented that the true washing of the hall will be done by the tears of devotees. And while devotees washed the halls with tears of love, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj descended from the palanquin and 4 gratified all the devotees by ascending the throne on the stage. In this way, the Prem Bhavan inauguration and 61" Jagadguruttam Diwas were written in golden words into the annals of history.
Conclusion:
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s contribution to the establishment of Prem Bhavan, a majestic structure designed to foster the expression of divine love, holds a significant place. The establishment of Prem Bhavan under the direction of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is the culmination of the bhakti path, which represents the profound journey of seeking divine love and grace. The collective bhakti of the followers, the teachings of the Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, and the dedication of Prem Bhavan stand as testaments of the transformative power of true bhakti which illustrates the unbreakable tie between the seekers and their spiritual teacher.

Bengali eBook Purchase, ABP Books
Badal Basu had played a key role in the revolution that Ananda Publishers had brought about in the publication of Bengali books.
‘What, Nilupishi has written a cookery book!’ He then called after his wife, whom he handed over the book once she came out. ‘Look, Nilupishi has written a recipe book. She only feeds us dry nimkis in the meetings of Sandesh.’ He was really amazed to see the book that was presented to him. The book in question was written by none other than Leela Majumder. And the speaker is none other than Satyajit Ray. The book was given to him by Badal Basu of Ananda Publishers.
Publishers hardly ever go into great detail about their trade. When they do, which is rather infrequently, the content makes for an interesting read. In his book Peon Ttheke Prakashak, published by Ananda Publishers, Dwijendranath Basu – popularly called in the publishing world as Badal Basu openly discussed his interactions and collaborations with authors and others in the industry, as well as lesser-known details from the lives of notable figures like Nirad C. Chaudhuri and Gunter grass. He also speaks rather candidly about meetings of Budh Sandhya, the Saturday addas held at the office of Desh magazine with authors like Shirshendu Mukherjee, Sunil Ganguly, Dibyendu Palit and others over bowls of quintessential puffed rice and fritters or the Frankfurt Bookfair or the chaos over Bibar, that made Samaresh Basu, a controversial name in the Bengali literary world, that paved way for court cases and the involvement of Ananda Publishers.
Originally, the family's senior male member or head used to hire a goldsmith to create jewellery, mostly for the female residents of the house. The motifs were made using common patterns popular at the time, created by competent artisans. Later, the patterns and motifs underwent alterations. The women of the Tagore family created fashion trends by donning flowing sarees and western-designed blouses embellished with gem-studded brooches. They put on matching diamond ear studs and other trendy accessories. Ananda Shatak walks you through the growth and progress of several industries- including trade, politics, and society as well, that existed and changed over the course of last 100 years.
