Happy STS! Can you sharesomething about your worldbuilding process? It can be absolutely anything, like where you get your ideas, if you have special tricks developing them and putting them together, how you organize them - whatever you'd care to share! :)

Yeah, of course!

I mostly get my ideas from boredom. Most of my Death’s Eyes worldbuilding ideas, or the build-up of established things (like the deities), happens when I’m bored in class. This is probably not the best system, because I should pay attention in class, but my brain works to entertain me when I’m bored and I get worldbuilding from it. (I’m still proud of my Igniliths coming to mind during a science class. They’re my shining achievement, mostly because they have a name). Also, anyone reading this, don’t be me; when it comes to being a student, I’m only a good example of what not to do.

I don’t think I have any special tricks. I have noticed that a lot of my worldbuilding happens around living things, instead of places or even events. I sometimes get things out that way, and then remove the POV of the person I started with during that event before I do anything else. (Although that is probably part of the reason I have no idea what places are called, which is slowing me down. I’ll probably just make up random names and change them later)

Other than that, I have a mass of notebooks for organizing and this blog! I’m... horribly messy, so tumblr has been great for me when it comes to things. Mostly, the search of my own blog doesn’t like to work, even when I type something exactly right, but I mean. It’s better than wondering which notebook has the information I’m looking for, right?

Dan mungkin memang kita harus belajar untuk lebih 'peka', walau terkadang begitu sulit rasanya untuk bisa peka apalagi ketika posisi sedang tidak sesuai. sesekali, cobalah untuk lebih peka dengan kondisi yang terjadi karena sedih tak selamanya, begitupun bahagia ada kala saatnya. belajarlah untuk sedikit peka terhadap apa yang terjadi dengan diri kita, bahkan saat sedih atau kondisi kecewa sekalipun. Tidakkah kita tahu sebetulnya ada pelajaran yang tersirat, pemahaman yang perlu diingat dan hal-hal yang belum diketahui sebelumnya? bagaimana jika, kita tidak berada diposisi saat ini? apa kita akan tahu jalan yang sedang ditunjukkan oleh-Nya? bagaimana jika, kita tidak berada dalam kondisi kita saat ini? apa kita akan belajar dari setiap apa yang terjadi. bagaimana jika, kita tidak dihadapkan dengan apa yang terjadi saat ini? apa kita mau ada di level yang 'itu-itu aja' tanpa naik ke level selanjutnya? semoga kita semua bisa lebih 'peka' dengan apa yang terjadi saat ini.
