Shane: Steven, thank you for coming. And for those of you who don't know, Travel Season's starting up next week. Steven: Let's go. Ryan: That's right. Steven and Shane: Let's go. Ryan: Steven and the boys, Steven and Adam, and Andrew back in the saddle again, going on some food adventures. Steven: And when we're back, we'll be able do a three v. three Bigfoot. Ryan: That would be pretty sweet. Shane: A three, honestly-- Ryan: Three V three, Food Boys versus Ghoul boys. Oh dude, this would be so much fun. Who'd be our third person though, Lizzie? Shane: Yeah. Ryan: Ugh. (Steven laughs) Shane: What is that? Ryan: I feel like she'd be bad. (Shane laughs) You know? Shane: I can't wait to show her this footage, Shane: All right, thanks for joining us everyone. Ryan: And she'd just be like, "guys, we gotta shoot him in the face". (Ryan wheezes) Shane: "I saw one of these in Iowa once." (Ryan laughs)
Ryan, Shane, and Steven Try to Exterminate Bigfoot and roast Lizzie Lockard
I wanted to gif this, but it wouldn't have done their Lizzie impressions justice

Title: Workplace Issues
Author: Crazy_Comet_97
Tagline: He was so sure he could hide it for longer. Surer than he had ever been in his life, that counting lore details, streaming at the right time to get the most views and even helping people who looked like they needed it, wanted or unwanted.
However, as he stared into the mirror, the buttons of the Leon shirt being pulled tight and his stomach framed by the shoulder holster as someone knocks on the door outside, he realises the terrible truth.
He’s only got so much time left.

I just bought Stardew Valley this year (extremely late to the party, I know) and Shane's happiness arc is KILLING me 😭 My man needed someone to say "btw people care about you, bro" and cuddle his chickens for him while he went on a hero's journey to recovery and that is BEAUTIFUL 🤎🤎🤎

The Monster Squad Theatrical Trailer
How does a Squad…become a Cult? How does a Cult…become a Classic? When it was released in 1987, The Monster Squad was deemed a failure by critics and was, according to the box office, a film no one cared about. But over the last three decades, word of mouth has turned it into a cultural phenomenon. Wolfman's Got Nards is a howlingly entertaining documentary that explores the power of cult film told through the lens of The Monster Squad, taking an in-depth look into the film's conception, response, cult status and revival. Through interviews with the cast, crew, screenwriters, directors, academics and original reviewers as well as through never-before-seen footage, it turns the lens on an audience of self-proclaimed misfits (including celebrities and filmmakers) who have kept The Monster Squad alive for more than 30 years.
Pre-order Wolfman's Got Nards.

The closest you’ll get to a Stranger Things movie.
An underrated 80’s movie; The Monster Squad is the brain child of Director Fred Dekker and Shane Black. The movie is about a group of young kids who love monsters and form their own club to bond over this shared interest; but one night they learn that the monsters have come to take over the world.
The film is definitely a product of the 80’s era because the dialogue, offensive terms and slight voyeurism would not be used in films or shows today without some discussions and online backlash; however even the filmmakers and cast of this film have noted that and acknowledge that they feel some things shouldn’t be praised in the film.
Now the similarities between this and stranger things are interesting; for one thing the monsters need to be sent into another dimension to save our world, the kids have the older friend of the group who’s the cool guy that saves the day yet the whole town fears him (Steve and Eddie), one of the parents is the chief of police, the club itself being just these kids knowing what’s happening, also the kids being the ones who ultimately save the day in the end. Also the cast of the movie has acknowledged the similarities and find it humorous, maybe it will get a reference in the shows final season.
Now for the differences obviously this film has the universal monsters as the villains and not beings from another dimension made by a character with psychic/telekinetic abilities, the kids actually get one of the monsters on their side, and the older sister in this movie isn’t a battle savvy heroine and more the dumb blonde character that was a product of 89’s cinema.
Some fun facts about the movie; the original actor tapped to play Dracula was Liam Neeson, the director actually wanted a scene in which the kids went to the spooky house in town and met with him and never noticed he was a vampire because he had on a rubber mask to showcase a reflection; but the effects were too expensive for the movie and timing didn’t work; so instead the kids interact with the scary German guy who actually isn’t a vampire but tells them so by showing his reflection.
The film also is known to have the scariest Dracula for many due to Duncan Regehr’s chilling performance. The film also did not do well in the box office after it was released a week after The Lost Boys, and also the fact it was not edgy enough for the older crowd but too scary for smaller audiences. The film however had a massive cult following once the VHS was released.
It’s a staple in our household and often quoted amongst my family.
