Nine people you’d like to get to know better
Got tagged by the amazing @chiptrillino
Three ships: Codywan (The Clone Wars), Shance (Voltron), Sacnikte x Tonkai (my OCs)
First ever ship: In terms of when I actually started to engage in fandom, it was Superboy x Miss Martian (Young Justice)
Last song: "The Well" by The Crane Wives (this song gives strong Crosshair and Hunter vibes) (By the end of writing this post, my actual last song was "Noot Noot theme but it's Dark Souls Boss music" (.... i'm not kidding))
Last film: The Grand Budapest Hotel
Currently Reading: "Confessions of a Yakuza" by Junichi Saga (very interesting with some wildly gross and funny bits); "Second Life" by Fulcrum55 (cute fic where Fives survives but has his consciousness transferred into a young child's body)
Currently watching: Big City Greens, and Loki
Currently consuming: Had an apple and potato chips with sour cream cuz dinner wasn't enough I guess
Currently craving: Nothing specific at the moment... maybe sushi or tamales. No wait now I want tamales, heck
Alright, no pressure tagging: @corvod @razzbberry @zukoisgayforsokka @chitsangenthusiast @yayee-prsp @frostbitebakery @roachsauce

Swing and a Miss. And a Hit. (Shance)
I'm so sorry that this took so long, @shir-oh-no, I kept having to step away for errands and chores instead of writing it all at once. As a result it's not as great as I would love it to be, so if you want you can shoot me another idea and I'll write something else too. At any rate, here we are, another Shance drabble!! Lance had a bit of a problem. A tall, handsome, strong, beautifully oblivious problem. For weeks Lance had been trying to pick up Shiro to fulfill the fantasy of dating the grad student. It had started as a healthy admiration for the success and hard work Shiro displayed, but after spending personal time with him Lance was smitten. Of course Lance knew he wasn't the only one in line trying to take Shiro on a date, but Lance had made the mistake, or had the fortune, of developing a friendship with Shiro first, which included but wasn't limited to casual flirtatious behavior around or directed toward Shiro. Looking back, Lance criticized the times that he let an intoxicated brain convince him to hit on anyone and everyone. Of course he didn't expect to be wildly successful, but now he was sure it made his serious attempts to go on a date with Shiro seem disingenuous. So Lance had to develop a new game plan and fast before Shiro finally agreed to a date with someone else. "Shiro!" Lance waved to the object of his affection, who waved back and walked over to the table Lance had books spread out over. "Hey, what's up?" "Nothing really, I was just planning to run some errands." Shiro smiled and Lance felt his stomach flip, hopefully with affection. "Do you want me to go with you?" Lance offered a bit too eagerly. "You know, keep you company, have a good time? Maybe we could grab coffee together, hmm?" Lance was sure this was just casual enough to be successful, but Shiro gave him a sideways smile and shook his head. "Don't worry about it, I can handle it by myself, and it's a little late for coffee anyway." Lance's shoulders sank. "Besides you look pretty busy anyway." "I'm never too busy for you Shiro. I'd drop everything to go out with you." Lance batted his eyelashes and Shiro simply chuckled. "I'm fine on my own." Failed again. Today was the day, Lance was sure of it. Today, there would be no way to misconstrue Lance's intention to go on a date with Shiro. "Hey Shiro!" Lance sat down on the couch next to Shiro who was scanning a textbook in search of something. "I was thinking about something and I wanted your opinion." "Oh yeah?" Shiro commented, not looking up but smiling slightly. "What's that?" "You know how when people get together sometimes they have a cute little name for the couple?" Lance waited for a response and continued after Shiro gave an affirmative hum. "Well I was thinking about what it might be like if some of our friends did the same thing, wouldn't that be funny?" "It'd be pretty out there, Lance." Shiro glanced over. "Pretty unusual." "The best one was ours." Lance replied, looking Shiro directly in the eyes. "What do you think about that?" Shiro was quiet for a while, and Lance was beginning to be hopeful that he might concede and agree to a date with Lance. Lance was also hoping that maybe Shiro was finding him half as attractive as Lance was finding him in this moment. And then he chuckled. The magic was shattered when Shiro shook his head, chuckling, and stood up. "That's priceless. You really are a card Lance." Shiro smiled again and took the first step away. And Lance found the last straw. "Alright stop!" Lance shouted. Shiro looked at him with surprise all over his face. "I can't keep being witty trying to pick you up! I don't know if you're not interested or just too dense to get it, but I have been hitting on you for weeks!! I really want to go out with you Shiro!!" Lance had taken a stand and although he was shorter and smaller than Shiro he seemed to have tipped the power balance for a moment. "So no more joking around. Takashi Shirogane will you go on a date with me please? It's all I want!" Lance threw up his hands. "Come on, Shiro! Give us a Shance!!" They were silent for a long time, standing there watching each other. Lance felt his skin peel back and all of his nerves felt exposed and raw, so incredibly vulnerable now. He was just about to tell Shiro to forget the whole thing and walk away with his tail between his legs, but Shiro laughed. Not a chuckle, a laugh. Deep and rich and beautiful, and Lance felt his heart skip a beat. And then it transformed into gasping and Lance watched as the object of his affection snorted and flushed deep red in embarrassment. Lance's lips quirked up into a smile, and he laughed too. So both of them laughed and Lance realized that he was falling even more in love with the way Shiro snorted when he laughed really hard, and despite believing that there was no way Shiro could look any better, Lance now knew that he looked most beautiful when he couldn't catch his breath. "Okay." Shiro finally calmed down enough to speak. Lance stared at him in awe. "Are you serious?" Lance watched, holding his breath for anything that might take away the affirmative answer he had been dreaming of. "After weeks of me using my best lines on you, all you can say now is 'Okay'?!?" "Lance, I..." Shiro chuckled again, although slightly nervous now. "I didn't know how badly you really wanted to take me out. I'd love to go on a date with you." Shiro gave him a nervous smile. "I really admire your honesty and ability to be that vulnerable, but honestly, before you dropped this bombshell I... I really didn't think you were serious. I guess I have a hard time recognizing serious offers, I think I've only gotten a couple." "Shiro," Lance took a step closer, confusion drawing his brow together. "You get asked out all the time. Seriously." "I do?" Shiro looked so genuinely surprised that alance laughed again at his bewilderment. Resting a hand on his arm, Lance looked up at Shiro, smile splitting his face open. "Maybe it's for the best." Lance mumbled. "Hey, now that you know I'm like totally head over heels for you... can I kiss you, maybe?" "You haven't even taken me out yet. Isn't that how the first date is supposed to end?" Shiro looked almost delighted. "Well then let's get a move on! I think I've waited long enough for you to screw your head on straight enough to say yes!" Lance watched Shiro try to stifle another snort of laughter with his hand, but Lance reached out to take it in his own tan hand and pull it down. "Please?" "Okay..." Shiro whispered. "As long as I get a proper one to end the date." Shiro let himself be tugged down to meet Lance's lips. "I'm old fashioned like that." "Didn't know I had to go through a nine step process to court you." Lance mumbled, between pressing more kisses to Shiro's lips cheeks and jaw. "But I'd go through a hundred step process to court you if it meant I could hear you laugh like that some more." "Lance, it's embarrassing." "What's embarrassing is you not knowing just how much you get hit on." Lance chuckled. "Your laugh, and that cute little snort, is music to my ears." Lance smiled, tugging Shiro down again. "Absolutely beautiful."

i love my baby’s soul, ch 12 - vld, kurance, teen
yah yah i know i said end of the month beginning of april but i finally got to work on this today and, well, if you’ve been following along you know how bad i am at sitting on these chapters, i just start fretting lololol SO HERE YOU GO
Hunk gets him safely home and follows him in. “I’m staying over,” he tells Lance, no give in the demand, only unquestionable kindness and friendship.
It feels a little like salt in a wound, but also a relief. Lance has felt so small and lost these past weeks, all by himself in the dark. And while there’s still that part of him that wants to circle around his pain like some feral creature, possessive and defensive, and lick his wounds in solitude, Lance is learning to not to indulge. So Lance just sighs and nods instead of protesting, worn out from pretending, from a seeming endless supply of tears.
Hunk says, “I love you, dude.”
And Lance -- he can’t say the words back, but not because he doesn’t want to. Because he does love Hunk, loves him so much, and Lance appreciates all of this, all of Hunk’s boundless support, his patient kindness.
No, Lance simply can’t make words for the feelings that are all jammed into his chest suddenly, piled up so high they’ve risen in his throat, clogging him up: gratitude, love, shame, misery, desperation. He only manages a nod in reply, the motion jerky, but apparently that’s enough. Hunk nods back, tips his head down, presses his temple to Lance’s.

More for that shance sword art online au: What if lance who recently joins shiros voltron guild goes on assignment with lotor (Allura's sleazy new boyfriend) and another newbie player. Stop for lunch and lance realizes lotor's put paralysing posien in his water. Can't move while lotor kills off the newbie and than lotor monologues about how he's part of a criminal guild as he slowly tortures him. Than in teleports shiro and completely demolishes him. But while shiro
Tries to see if lance is alright lotor stabs shiro from behind. Pissed off lance manages to shake of the poison and kills lotor. Afterwards lance is horrified and crying.
WHY ARE YOU HURTING ME LIKE THIS?!  Also I don’t know which version of the AU I wrote about a while go.  (All versions hurt) but I am going to kind of do the main two (the one more like SAO canon…and the one where Shiro can is a play that can exist the game, because angst)  But the one like canon first.
So yeah, Lance goes on a mission, and he does not like Lotor in the least.  Everyone kind of thinks it because he likes Allura, which he does, only it’s really like a good friend.  Really to Lance, there is just something about Lotor that he just doesn’t like and doesn’t trust.  But like the mission needs his skill sets, and it’s easy so he takes a new guild member to get them some experience.  And Lotor just tags along to tag along, being all nice and everything so Lance can’t turn him away.  And again, it’s a simple mission, so like whatever, let’s just go and get everything over with.
Everything is find and great, like really as smooth as Lance thought it would be.  And the new guild member is getting some confidence and building skills.  Lotor is fine…reasonably being pleasant and friendly.  It’s wonderfully whatever and totally projected to be done by the end of the day.  But then Lunch rolls around and, Lance really starts to feel off half way through.  Realizing what is happening when it’s too late and him and the new member can’t move…except Lotor can and he looks so pleased at there state. And, yup, the was a reason for Lance not to trust Lotor. even in the slightest as he kills off the new member and advances towards Lance.
Meanwhile back at the guild, Shiro gets the sense something is just wrong, he doesn’t know what or way, but it just feels wrong.  He stumbles across Hunk who his worried, but Lance didn’t check in at Lunch like he promised (which Shiro knows it is an easy mission there is no real reason too, but like Lance promised Hunk and he always follows through).  So Shiro just decides to quickly transport over to the coordinates of Lance’s location, simply to see and maybe like just remind Lance to check in if he forgot a bit then go back.  Only he finds  Lance one the ground in a state of distress and steadily lowering health bar from some wounds.  But before Shiro can act, there is a sharp pain in his back (wedge between plates of armor, but doesn’t like a crazy amount of damage, Shiro’s surprise at the feeling makes it look worse.)
And Shiro whips around to see Lotor there as he started to fall to the ground.  Lotor is about to go for a strike down with his sword, but suddenly just gets like three shots to the body (one to his chest, one to the shoulder, and one in the head) and Shiro whips around to see Lance aim still fixed as he glared at where Lotor was.  Then he just throws up.
Shiro rushes over to him.  Scooping Lance up, who is way too incoherently sobbing and shaking uncontrollably.  He calms him down enough to understand Lotor betrayed and attacked them, before he transports the, back to the central guild.  And takes a lot to get Lance to calm down though to explain in more detail and healed enough, but Shiro never leaves his side, and holds Lance close. Just assuring Lance it is all okay, it was self-defense, and it’s okay to be upset, but it wasn’t his fault.  Before he takes him to another level to just unwind and relax and get away.
Now, the other version…
Something thing, its an easy mission with three guild members, Lotor being one of the new ones.  Lance still doesn’t like him, but like it’s whatever, really in long run.  So like no one on the Voltron team in the really worried in the really world, like at all.  Until one of the three suddenly dies, and Lance’s heart and brain waves start going crazy, and his body is too still for such activity (cause I imagine plays shift a bit)  And when they check his health bar it is dropping, while Lotor’s is weirdly not.
So Yeah, Shiro is the first to jump in, ordering that he gets dropped in where Lance is, that instant, Pidge is on it already as he gets hooked up.  And Shiro finds Lance much like the first part, and Lotor sneaks up on Shiro from behind.  And yeah, naturally Shiro doesn’t exactly have armor, because well…dying in the game doesn’t exactly kill him.  But the sight freaks Lance out, and forgets that he thinks Shiro is a NPC, and shoots Lotor to save Shiro.
And something things happen as the first one.  Shiro takes Lance back to the headquarters, to like a whole arm of doctors and psychologists  that are waiting for him.  But Lance really one finds comfort in Shiro, but even then he is pulling back.  Because he thinks he killed a real person for a NPC, and it’s just hard for him to swallow.  But Shiro keeps seeing him and encouraging him to get better, and comforts Lance so much better then anyone else.  Even tries to tell Lance that he is a real person who can log out and stuff, but Lance fell asleep before he heard.

If there's two things I'm a sucker for it's Shance and Amusement parks
I saw @shir-oh-no had posted some ideas about Shance at an amusement park and being the sucker that I am, I felt a mighty need to write something for it. I personally identify with Shiro as an adrenaline junkie when it comes to roller coasters. (I would have been done earlier but there were visitors, and then the cat wanted a lot of attention, so I hope this doesn't come too late.) Also, I threw in engagement stuff, because if there's anything I crave more than Shance it's ENGAGED Shance. Did they mean to end up at the amusement park? Maybe not, but every once ina while fate has to intervene, and when Lance got tickets half price from a coworker and presented them to Shiro begging to go, Shiro took it as a sign that Lance wanted to do something cheesy and romantic. And it was somewhat romantic to pull up to the park and be dragged out of the car by Lance who couldn't wait to indulge every theme park fantasy he'd never had the pleasure of enjoying as a teenager, but Shiro was a little put off by the sixteen year old ticket taker that snapped her bubblegum when they approached and uninterestedly slapped their armbands on. Lance couldn't be bothered, but Shiro tried not to grimace as he pulled the sticky end of the armband off of arm hairs and tried to follow his fiancé as he ran into the park. Shiro didn't have the first clue about what they should do, but fortunately Lance had already developed a detailed plan of how to maximize their time and get Shiro on every ride that was going to be worth their time. "Shiro, don't you know anything about rides? You can work up to the big rides, or you can jump right in, but you never go from a big roller coaster to the wacky shack, that's park 101." Lance pulled them along the midway and Shiro followed benignly, clueless and wiling to learn. "I honestly didn't know. I didn't really go to amusement parks as a kid." Shiro smiled when Lance looked back at him. "I am completely at your mercy, Lance." Lance stopped suddenly and turned around, wicked smile on his lips. "You bet you are, you beautiful chiseled man." Lance crowded the two of them into one of those cheesy photo booths. "Step into my office and I'll tell you about everything I'd like to ride." "Lance, for gods sake! There are children!" "I thought we were here to make memories." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After tucking away the photo strip from the booth in his wallet and riding the scrambler to press the two of them together, Shiro walked hand in hand with Lance as they looked for what to ride next. As they walked along various games flashed and people called out trying to entice them to play. It wasn't until they walked past a booth with the milk bottles stacked up that they even stopped at all. "Ey, you! Arms!!" Shiro glanced over, curiosity getting the better of him. "Yeah you, walking with the tan sweetheart. Whatta you say? Think you got what it takes?" The man tossed one of the balls between his hands before under-handing it to Shiro who caught it. He glanced at Lance, who just smiled and shrugged, walking over still latched onto Shiro's arm. "That depends, how much are you charging?" Shiro smiled sheepishly. "I'll give you one toss for free if you throw with him on your arm." The man gestured to Lance who hadn't let go. The subtle changes in Lance's face were barely enough for Shiro to pick up on, but it was all the encouragement he needed. "What happens if I knock it over?" "You miss you're not out anything, but if you can knock a whole stack over I'll let you pick any prize you want. Whatta you say? Willing to play?" Shiro pretended to think for another moment before Lance nudged him. "I sure would LOVE that shiny blue fish hanging in the corner." Lance fluttered his eyelashes at Shiro and that was all he needed. "Alright. One toss with him holding on, free of charge." Shiro of course knew that his odds were pretty good, but the satisfaction of hearing the bottles all clatter down and Lance squeeze even tighter on his arms sure did puff up his chest just a bit more. The booth operator stood there shaking his head, and Shiro smiled politely as he turned to his fiancé and asked, "which one did you say you wanted, baby?" ~~~~~~~~ They couldn't take their prizes on the rides, so even though Shiro won three for Lance and Lance's marksmanship earned Shiro two flashy prizes, they gave their prizes to children running around with permission from their parents. Shiro still remained amazed by Lance's cool demeanor as he shot out the star with bbs right after Shiro failed, earning a huge stuffed dog for Shiro. He was positive that game was ACTUALLY impossible, but Lance never seemed to fail at surprising him. After riding a few roller coasters, Lance had to drag Shiro away from one they'd already rode twice, and they laughed about Shiro being an adrenaline junkie over a funnel cake. Lance laughed just as he was raising another piece to his lips and a puff of powdered sugar blew up into the air. Shiro swore that was the cutest thing, and Lance blushed at the adoration in Shiro's eyes. After finishing the funnel cake they lovingly licked the powdered sugar of of their fingers, exchanging glances as Shiro cleaned Lance's thumb only for Lance to return the favor with Shiro's index finger. "We better go now, I think that soccer mom is going to have an aneurysm if she keeps watching us lick each other's fingers." Lance licked his lips to clean up any sugar that may have fallen, and Shiro glanced over to confirm that there was indeed a mother with foster grants and a fashionable diaper bag that was scowling in their direction. Shiro smiled and leaned across the table to lick the sweetness out of his fiance's mouth, fiddling with the engagement ring on Lance's ring finger just because. "She can deal, she doesn't own the park." Shiro lazily kissed Lance. "Besides, we're young and in love; we're engaged for God's sake." "Okay." Lance smiled between kisses. "You've convinced me." ~~~~~~~~ "You want to what?" Shiro laughed. "I want to buy it!!" Lance responded. "It can go in our wedding album! We'll tell everyone it's a wedding photo!" "Lance, we're not even smiling!" Shiro looked back up at the monitor where both of them sat on the roller coaster, arms crossed and deadpan expressions. It was the second time they went on the ride, and after figuring out there was a camera they both agreed to ride it again and create a funny picture, but Shiro didn't expect Lance to want to keep it. "It's still a good picture!" Lance insisted. "And I want to remember it forever." Shiro's heart was softened at this. "Maybe we can find a way to make it our save the date card!" "Maybe..." Shiro laughed, already picturing the faces of their families when they had a deadpan roller coaster picture hung up to remind them of the wedding. ~~~~~~~ "Thank you." Lance mumbled. "For what?" Shiro looked at him, holding his hand as Lance looked up adoringly. "For helping me live the dream. Doing all this coupley stuff to fulfill my amusement park romance fantasy. For fulfilling every other romantic fantasy." Lance smiled, quirked to the side and almost sheepish. "I haven't fulfilled all of the fantasy yet." Shiro smiled, pulling Lance closer. "We still have to kiss at the top of the Ferris wheel." "Can we practice before we get up there?" Lance raised his eyebrows, and Shiro chuckled. "I mean, there's nothing stopping us." They stood in line as the sun faded from the sky, and when they got on the Ferris Wheel Lance sat himself comfortably resting against Shiro. With an arm wrapped around his future husband Shiro smiled as they reached the top and watched the sunset finish. "I love you." Lance mumbled. They kissed, fingers trailing up necks and across cheekbones. Shiro would be lying if said he didn't love the feeling of the engagement ring on Lance's finger as it slid over his skin. If every day were perfect, Shiro might not need a partner in crime, but he thanked his lucky stars to have found as perfect one as Lance to spend the rest of an imperfect life with. And they'd work hard to make it as perfect as possible. Today was a sure sign of that.

A Weird Thought...
What if, and again another VERY long shot...
Shiro's astral self goes into Lance in season 6? Think about it. His astral self called out to Lance so there's some connection there. Astral Shiro goes into Lance, Lance pilots black (not that he couldn't be the black paladin on his own mind you) & Keith comes back to pilot red while Allura stays in Blue.
It would be weird and awesome all at once.
I'm weird.
