I am still far a bit aways from writing and hopefully I remember it when I get there.

Title: With the Sun in My Eyes

Pairing: Eugene + Frederic, minor New Dream at the End

Summary:

Eugene knew this was going to happen. Of course he did. He knew it was going to happen before they even arrived back in Corona.  He knew how people thought and worked.  The moment they figured out he was not just a random guy, rather a very specific infamous person who escaped prison some time prior, it was going to happen. And it was happening.

AN: I have this idea a while go, finally got around to writing it. I'm not the proudest of how this fic came out as I was when I finished writing it, but I wanted to post it any way than letting it collect dust in my drafts. Also no idea why tumblr is being weird with the links.

I finished my latest Forbidden Love AU fic this morning! It was slightly longer than expected it to be, and maybe the ending is a bit rushed (not overly), but that's a problem for proofing me when I get to it.

This weekend, I think I will try to write a one-off fic idea I have (one of many). Before I start working on the next. As much as I want to start the next fic, I seriously need to take a small break for this AU. I have written like the last 3 or 4 fics pretty much one right after the other. And it would be nice to explore a different idea for a weekend.

I also won't post the next fic until next weekend, just to give myself a complete break from the series.

Summary:

“This new thing you want to try.”  Rapunzel said, refocusing on the subject. “Oh, I’ve already tried it,” Flynn cut in smugly.  “It’s pretty fun.  I’ve been told I’m very good at it.  I was suggesting you try it, I think you find it quite enjoyable.”  He lightly bopped at Rapunzel’s nose to enunciate the point.  “Semantics, Freckles.” “Okay, this new thing that you suggested, but can’t explain.” “I can explain it.” “But are too embarrassed to explain.”  Rapunzel corrected herself with a smile and rolled over her eyes.  Flynn scoffed in half offense.

AN: Sorry I posted this first chapter of this fic last week really late and night and just didn't post it here, but here is the completed fic now!

Someone left a mean and angry comment on my one of my unfinished series in AO3.

I understand their frustration with unfinished stuff, and I will admit I basically spotted in the middle of the series, but like there is no need to be rude about it. For the longest time I have ever intention of returning to the series, I still to this day think about it, but like six months or so ago I kind of admitted to myself I was likely never going to return to it. And I didn't return because I switched fandoms and burnt out a bit of writing the series. I've thought briefly about doing a summary of the main line of the idea, but it's such a bit idea that it both doesn't feel right and like it would be more frustrating to people.

I have gotten a lot of positive comments over the years that series has been out. And I genuinely think it is the most popular series of my AO3 account. So many people love it it, and many revisit it, even knowing its incomplete.

Still that comment put a sour taste in my mouth.

Love that one of my New Years goals was simply to write an hour a day (something I was kind of already doing), but since the 1st, I have only done it like once.

It's been colder than I am used to, and I would rather snuggle up in bed and get like an extra hour of warmth, then get out of bed to write. So I am not as far into the next fic of my Forbidden Love AU as I thought I would be (not that it is an issue).

I do plan to post start posting the next fic in the series this weekend. (I have a buffer of like 4 fics, and one has two chapters) I am not sure exactly when on the weekend, but it will be this weekend.

I just finished writing the first fic of Phase 3 of my Forbidden Love AU! And it's official, I can finally call Eugene by his real name. Everything just got so much easier.

Also the fic was under 7,000 words! For once an average size fic in what has been months of writing really long ones.

Sharply she jabbed her elbow back. “Hey--ugh!”  A voice sounded behind her as elbow made contact with something.  It felt like a person’s side.  The hold on her wrist vanished a second before there was the sound of someone falling to the ground and a groaned, “Nice to see you too, Freckles.” Wait, Rapunzel knew that voice. “Flynn?”  She asked as she whipped around.

She knew how important her coronation was. Not only to her parents, but the whole kingdom. Even though technically it is more to crown her as the heir to the throne rather than her taking leadership.  No, that was likely sometime down the road when Rapunzel was a bit older.  However it was still an important tradition.
