I have to agree with burningcheese-merchant (love the name btw), I’m still getting used to the transition between writing thinking of en smilk to kr smilk but it feels nice to have more range to explore the character instead of overly sarcastic jester. I can actually write smilk being unabashedly angry when something upsets him and not have to worry about the phrasing so much as conveying the raw emotion through his speech, it feels more honest, ironically enough
