Lately, my mind has been going over every negative thing I did in the past as well as every toxic relationship that I've let go of. It keeps looking at ways I could have done things differently and whether or not I was being fair in my choices. So this morning, I asked the cards "What do I need to know about letting go of past negativity?" I drew the Sun, the Hermit and Death from The Shadowland Tarot. 🎃 The Sun is here to shine some light on those murky thoughts of the past. A monster rides a Llama like creature down a path that is dotted with smiling sunflowers. This card makes me think of the joy I felt at the end of every negative situation and also the relief I felt. It also makes me think that my actions, while I perceive them as negative, had a positive result in the end. This card is joy and I will embrace it. 🎃 The Hermit wants to shed even more light on the situation. A ghost stands by a lamp, slightly withdrawn from others but observing everything. I need to take some time to look into my mind, body and spirit and try to figure out why my mind is so concerned about the past when I have the future to contend with. I have to take thr time to check in with myself and embrace the stillness so that the reason becomes clear. 🎃 Death greets me, a vulture like creature. He is bringing change and growth. There is a nest of eggs on his head and he holds another egg. Inside the egg is a man who waves cheerfully at me. Death wants to remind me that life is constantly changing. In order to grow, much as the man in the egg will begin to grow, I will have to let go of the bits of shell that are hurting me and allow change to happen rather than what already has. 🎃 These cards bring big magic and high energy today! This morning, I asked the cards "How do I celebrate the day?" I drew the Devil, the Knight of Cups and the 6 of Wands from The Shadowland Tarot. ⭐ The Devil gave me pause for a moment. What does he have to do with celebrating? Well, pretty much everything! He stands in front of me holding what looks like booze in front of a shelf offering unearthly delights. This morning I asked the cards "What do I need to know about doing less?" I'm always painting, writing, creating to escape covid in some way that I have a problem with sitting still. I drew the 2 of Cups, the Page of Swords and the Empress from The Shadowland Tarot. 🦇 The 2 of Cups shows two little monsters sharing a moment of love, the sun shining brightly behind them. This card celebrates the bond of love between two people and the spark that grows into a flame. I feel that in this reading, this card is asking me to love myself more and as much as I show others kindness, I should show kindness to myself too. 🦇 The Page of Swords shows me a young witch floating in the sky, lifted by the power of the Sword she holds. The Page of Swords is eager to learn and embrace the power of her mind, to really embark on a journey within herself. She is kind, enthusiastic and adventurous. I drew the 7 of Pentacles, the King of Cups and Discretion from The Shadowland Tarot. 🦉 The 7 of Pentacles shows me a brave gardener feeding steak to seven meat eating plants. They've had to be nurtured and taken care of and while it has been difficult, it has also been rewarding. This card is asking me to remember that it's always good to take care of others, I also need to take care of myself so that I can continue sharing my light. 🦉 The King of Cups shows a monster walking along the beach. The waters behind him are full of life. He looks out at the world from a sea shell, his thoughts and dreams surrounded by the sea from where he came. The King is really good at listening to his emotions and following the flow of where they take him. He is wise and kind and does not give in to the undertow of emotions. 🦉 Discretion shows me an owl flying through the air, a pair of red shoes upon her feet. She is wise and flies high above everything so that she can see the world and her place in it in a different way. She wears her red shoes because she wants to, she uses her discretion and her power of choice. They bring her joy and light.
