*shadowdancer isn't a 5e rogue subclass, it's a 3.5e rogue-based prestige class, but it suits her so well and when i played 3.5e as a kid i thought it was the coolest thing ever lol so i wanted to use it

Having thoughts about Scratch becoming Shadowheart's service dog. Like maybe he's been exposed to so much high-level magic during their adventures that he's developed the ability to sense the surge of magic a second or two before Shadowheart's hand goes off. He alerts and gives her just enough time to set down anything she's holding and maybe sit down before the pain hits. Then maybe she hugs him real tight while she rides it out, or maybe he licks her hand a bunch to distract her. IDK I don't really know how service dogs work but I just think Shadowheart should have one.
