roared a thunderous James Potter who’d spotted your little sister— Vanessa.

Nessie was all over the boys, and they were all over her. she was a first-year hufflepuff and a true sweetheart.

Sirius silently adored how similar you two looked, it was like looking at twins— except one of them happened to be five years older than the other.

He was too afraid and stubborn to admit it, but Nessie gave him a heavy dose of baby fever.

was she a baby? no, not even close. but something about her cheeky smile, the way her robes hung over her like how a child pretending to be an adult’s would, and how her hand (which was considerably smaller than his) slid into yours lovingly at any given time.

maybe it was just that he wanted to see you as a mom, or that he longed for a family that was warm and loving.

“y/n, dear.” Sirius caught your attention quickly, even though you were watching James ramble on to Nessie like it was an oscar award winning film.

“hm—?” you hummed, attempting to pry your eyes away from the sweet scene.

“what do you think i’d-be like?”

“what do i think what would be like?”

“you know, having kids.” he could tell from your flustered expression that to were certainly not expecting that.

“o-oh… w-well…”

luckily the conversation had been interrupted by one Nessie.

Nessie ended her conversation with James, earning a “hey!” when she walked away from him.

“Siri.” she tugged in his sleeve.

“yes, darling?”

she blushed at the pet name, and started twirling her hair.

“um.. will you guys take me to Hogsmeade…?”

“Hogsmeade? Ness, only third years and over can go to Hogsmeade—“

“Professor Mcgonagall said if i went with you then it would be alright!”

She tugged on Sirius’ slightly oversized leather jacket once more, as he stumbles from the unexpected tug.

“whats going on in here— AGH!”

Remus stumbled backwards as Nessie pounced on top of him like some wild animal who was about to feed on him.

“hi— oof— hi Nessie.”

Remus was taken aback by the little first year jumping around in him in a circle chanting;

“i’m going to Hogsmeade!”

“Ness, he gets it.” You groaned from your position on James’ lap.

“Get off!!” Nessie shoved you with all of her pre-puberty force.

“N-Nessie!” you ‘gently’ hit the bedpost as Nessie locked herself onto James.

“What candy is she on? Pixi Stix?”

“Oh, suck my dick, Moony.”

HOGSMEADE was beautiful in summer time.

obviously— it wasn’t summer yet, but with April coming to a close and blossoming like a flower, you could basically say it was summertime.

you walked along with Remus and Sirius, as Nessie was hanging around with James as they skipped ahead down the alleys and walkways of Hogsmeade.

you adored James, and how sweet he was to your sister, she was such a sweet kid and deserved the love.

"James?" Nessie stopped skipping for a moment, keeping a steady walking pace instead.

"Hm?"

"Do you love my sister?"

"I do."

"so why don't you marry her?" Sirius burst into a quiet laughter, and Remus tucked the hysterical boy into his chest.

"i- marry her? i'd love too, but we're a bit young."

“but Snow White was 14 when she got married.”

“Oh.” James was clearly a bit flustered, his cheeks turned to a shade of pink.

Remus watched his lovers interact with Nessie, and it sparked something deep inside him.

Remus (until now) had ruled out a happy ending for himself.

being a lycanthrope, he never wanted to pass that burden to his child. so he couldn’t— no, wouldn’t have kids.

but somehow, someway, as he watched you with your little sister. he realized how badly he wanted you to be a mom.

for the first time, Remus realized that he could live happily.

“Remus? are you alright?” You tapped his shoulder rapidly, and he snapped out of his trance.

“Y-yes, sorry I got distracted.”

“you don’t have to apologize.” you smiled brightly up to him, the smile he was so in love with.

We have a brand new Fenty Beauty lip formula!! We all know that Fenty Beauty is famous for a lot of their viral products but nothing can beat their iconic Gloss Bombs. For a lot of people (including myself) Gloss Bomb's converted a lot of people into liking glosses more than matte lipsticks and well, we never looked back let's be honest!

Today the Gloss Bomb family has expanded and now we have the new Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss, £23.00. This new formula is described as "twists like a stick, shines like a gloss, conditioning feel and non-sticky formula." Before we get into the formula let's appreciate the packaging. Inspired by the gloss bomb's, each lipsticks outer case matches the shade. I picked the shade 04 Is it Fu$$y? which is described as a "dusty pink" and I always get in every gloss bomb shade because it's the perfect pink shade for my complexion.

Personally I'm a massive fan of the new formula because it still shines like a gloss but it is more pigmented like a lipstick. When I first applied the Gloss Stix I was really impressed with how easily it just glides on to the lips and it wears really well during the day. Obviously it's a gloss base product so it won't like as long as a matte lipstick but personally I love how comfortable the formula is to wear. I also really like the shade Fenty Glow in the collection so I have a feeling that might be in my collection soon enough.

Where do I start? I know!

Hayley Williams, our favorite, angelic voice of Paramore, is also the co-creator (w/ her longtime mua/hs & bff, Brian O’Connor) of the hair dye company, Good Dye Young. GDY has one of the best lightening kits I’ve ever used. And the color options? Omg. They have every fun color you could imagine. And if they don’t have it, you can create it yourself with a little color theory. Not only are the colors vibrant and beautiful, they fade graciously and smell amazing!

Gwen Stefani, my personal all-time (since elementary school days) fashion icon, recently started up her own beauty line. When I first found out about Gxve, I practically burst into confetti & cartwheels. When the brand launched, I grabbed the I’m Still Here liquid lipstick in Gwen’s iconic red shade. Delicious scent and long lasting wear, which we double love. I later grabbed the Xtra Sauce vinyl liquid lip, which became an instant favorite. The shine, the feel, and the long lasting wear is incredible.

Halsey, our other favorite angelic voice, not only blesses us with their music, poetry, and art, but they have given us not one, but two amazing beauty lines! About Face Beauty was the first baby they gave us. I have an obsession with finding the longest lasting liquid lipstick, and Halsey has given us just that with AF’s paint-it matte liquid lip color & the coordinating matte fix lip pencil. I’ve eaten plenty a cheeseburger and haven’t had to touch up immediately after. We all know that’s impressive af. I’ve tried just about every product and the entire line is a win. If you wanna pinch a penny or two, their second baby, af94, is just for you. I am obsessed with the scribble sticks. The feel & color are fantastic. I could talk about these lines forever. I’ll hype these babies up for days.

When I first purchased a jar of Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation skin cream, I had zero idea the company was Alicia Keys’s. I didn’t figure that out until I ran out and needed more (it’s my favorite face cream). It was a pretty delightful surprise. Each product has its own affirmation printed on the jar, for you to repeat to yourself while doing your skincare routine. I’ve tried the comfort balm as well as the face cleanser. Everything I’ve tried, I’ve loved. I can’t wait to see what other products Keys Soulcare has in store for us.

Ariana Grande has r.e.m. beauty. I have read so amazing things about the brand, that I just finally got around to trying it. I recently purchased the concealer, which I must say is very creamy with great coverage. A little definitely goes a long way. There’s plenty of other products to try. I have my eye in the lip stain next.

No list is complete without Rihanna & Fenty Beauty. Rihanna’s second calling in life is 100% the beauty world. Her line gets so much well-deserved hype. I needed a new skin tint and picked up the Blurring Skin Tint. It’s hands down the nicest tint I’ve ever used. I love how it feels on my skin and that it blends perfectly. Another great item I’ve gotten recently is the color customizing match stix cheek/lip tint. The formula reacts to your natural ph balance and leaves the prettiest pink tint behind. And if you need an amazing highlight, grab yourself some Fenty. Rihanna never fails.

I am so happy for all of these artists and their creations. As a music and beauty fanatic, I get a thrill out of those worlds colliding. I will forever be anticipating the next amazing drop from all of these rock stars!

God those cookies I made last week were so good.

My ipad is starting to show signs of planned obsolescence, I think. Kinda sucky considering I'm also already saving for a new laptop (I could be quicker about it if I wasn't so aggressive about finishing up my emergency fund and saving for my down payment*) and I would consider my iPad use relatively gentle. I'll see if I can stretch its use out for another year and a half minimum, I think. It's still got plenty of space to work with and is adept with the majority of tasks I use it for. A new machine could be another 1k,,,,,, oof. The earlier I start saving the lower that monthly "payment" though. There are certain things I use my tablet for that neither a laptop nor a phone are optimized to do, and I see myself potentially using those functions even after I'm done with classes.. but I'll give it more thought.

Might plan a little reading group with the discord crew since so many of us (5/7 so far!!) are interested in reading The Road, the book on which The Last of Us is based (my photo-friend suggested it to me and my dancer-friend during a chat we had, and I saw puzzle- and dnd- had previously marked it as something they were interested in (these are the kinds of things I'd miss without goodreads T.T (I'm gonna swap to (or, at least, add) Storygraph still, I promise))).

*I told my sister I am currently interested in potentially moving back to my home state after grad school to live near my family, and she, being the zillow fiend she is, took me on a tour of the current housing market in the city I'm interested in with the parameters I'd like and lowkey??? it's actually not as expensive as I thought it'd be. Granted, these feelings could drift as climate change alters the landscape (or if I really really like it here), but based on my down payment savings goal, the existence of first-time homebuyer assistance programs, what I'm currently making (and the expected raise at the conclusion of this program), and the assistance my elders have cryptically alluded to, it does not seem as far out of reach as I once thought (though my vision was skewed by the fact that a 1b/1b condo around my uni could cost something like a million bucks lol).

You know I think I'm not succumbing to lifestyle creep but like,,, I literally bought $118 pants (with coupons and discounts but still, I was looking). I.. don't think I've ever considered spending that much on a single item of clothing, ever. Even most of my formal dresses are secondhand. On the other hand, relative frugality when it comes to food and being stringent with savings gives me a bit more leeway when it comes to other things. All this said, I'm not sure whether having a loosey-goosey budget will work out long-term. Will reassess in May.

One thing about "her" is that the color scheme is relatively dark, and I'm not just talkin skin here. There's nothing inherently wrong with that; dark colors are a great base for things, but I do think I'd like to venture into adding a bit more color and experimenting with combinations. Very unlike me, I know.

Today I'm thankful that my skin was givingggg. I bought three shades of Colourpop's Lite Stix last month and wore the first two (molten hot (too yellow), glazey (too bright)) for a couple weeks each to give them a true run, but neither were perfect shades, but Sunlight is a softer, rosier gold that works so well as a subtle, beautiful inner-corner highlight. And after doing my Kiehl's mask over the weekend which is literally clearing my skin (plus 25/8 blush and rocky road lip gloss/crucifix liner),,,, it was a very pretty day for me despite the fact that I was fully exhausted the whole time. Anyway I'm going to have to find some other use for the other two (I tried molten hot once as an eyeliner and that was fun) so they don't go to waste.

Washed my hair yesterday, now experiencing the slog of nightly braiding with multiple major homework assignments on the horizon :)))))))
