Still basking in the afterglow of 2017 and yet I have so much to look forward to in 2018! Here are 2017’s best 9 AND select favorites are up on the blog! As the saying goes, it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey. Looking back through 2017 there were twists and turns, closed windows followed by open doors, and even a few risks taken. I can’t help but think the experiences along the way have shaped me as a person and as an artist. So many wonderful people, places, and celebrations. My heart is full and I’m deeply thankful for health, happiness, and each of YOU! Taking the day to do a little self-indulging. One thing I'll indulge in is getting some fresh-cut flowers. I can remember as a little girl my mom letting me forage for wild flowers (okay maybe they were weeds) on our daily walks. She'd always make me a little vase to fill my bouquets which were probably pitiful but hey...I was proud of it! I love how flowers can change a space and make it feel cozy. Space to breathe. Space to feel balanced. Space to heal the body and mind. Summer break has provided all of that AND time to travel! Thank you all to those who've written, called/texted, to check in after my fat grafting procedure (it meant so much 💛). I will have my follow-up with my team of doctors in a few weeks! The recovery was a full 4 weeks and I'm now completely back to normal activities (hooray!!!!). Through all of this skin cancer mess, I've learned that healing is a process as well as a journey. My Aunt Karen (a breast cancer survivor) said it best, "You're a Little so that makes you tough as nails! We're too stubborn for this shit!" haha! I do my best to take it all in stride and once I was cleared from wearing that heinous belly band (good lawd!), I soaked up as much as I could with family, friends, and travels.
