we as a fandom talk about lt colonel war crimes a lot and it's great i love it but i don't think we talk enough about doctor war crimes

carson commits SO many crimes in the show and we as a fandom do not acknowledge his beautiful crimes enough. he was doing illegal gene manipulation in the third fucking episode and doing experimentation on prisoners by the seventh. he also takes any and all opportunities to point a gun at someone and i for one think we need to acknowledge how absolutely fucking iconic that is of him. absolutely incredible i love him so much

Shockingly this actually wasn't about Carson 😂 I've been sporadically watching some s1 episodes and it feels like they were killing off regular side characters every other episode. I don't know, I have Thoughts and Opinions about this that I'll elaborate on when I'm actually watching all the way through haha.

I love a good character death, when done well it really can add so much to the story. But I feel like Atlantis plays a little fast and loose with killing off their characters.

Stargate Microfic Challenge

Since we're celebrating the Stargate Anniverary fest for both SGA (20 years) and Stargate: The Movie (30 year), thought we'd throw another opportunity to join in the fun.

What is a 'microfic' -- as used on Tumblr, a microfic is 50 words. Half a drabble. Now, we're not going to be the microfic police. If you want to write more or less than 50 words for any of these prompts, you're more than welcome to do so. But a goal of 50-ish words is a challenge. after spending 29 hours thinking about a canon-ship scale for that poll, i decided i might as well spend another few hours looking through my old livejournal icons folder to rank the collection of ships i have written/am writing (for better or worse)...

1. Detroit Pistons Will Advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals
