What is an edging service?

For kitchen cabinetry manufacturing or any furniture manufacturing industry, a laser can be used to join edges of cabinetry compartments and other equipment together to form custom kitchen compartments like cabinets and other custom furniture for customers.

These are known as edging services. Other edging materials such as the EVA a copolymer adhesive, and PUR a polyurethane reactive glue can also be used for sealing two edges of compartments or furniture together.  Doing a good edging service would help to prevent the release of formaldehyde and also protect the insides of the furniture, preventing moisture and insects from entering through gaps and thus extending the life of the product.

EVA edging services

For using the EVA edge material, the hot-melt adhesive would be poured into the glue pot of the Edge banding machine which would melt it at temperatures up to 180 to 210 degrees. Once it is melted, the melted adhesive would be spread evenly across the cutting surface or the edge of the particular compartment and seal the edge of the furniture.

PUR edging services

PUR edge sealing is a reactive polyurethane liquid glue where processes such as heating, spraying, and pressing would be done to complete the PUR edge sealing on the furniture. The material hardens through moisture and would not easily be affected by temperature. It is a better option than EVA edge material as it has a strong viscosity, and only half the amount of glue can be used compared to EVA edge material to seal the furniture successfully. However, the cost of this material is higher than that of EVA edge material.

Laser edging services

It is the use of lasers, with an activating coating material which has a light-sensitive reaction to the laser would be able to reach a state that is similar to welding. If an edge strip of material such as the EVA or PUR glue is artificially removed, this coating would still be strongly welded into the material.

Dry and degrease all surfaces, wash off any contaminant that could impair adhesion.  Solvents includes isopropanol alcohol. acetone and butanone.

Primerless adhesion to most material such as metal ,engineering plastic etc.

SWISS Takes Delivery of First A320neo

Swiss International Air Lines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft at a delivery ceremony in Hamburg, Germany. Named 'Engelberg', the plane (HB-JDA) is the first of 25 aircraft SWISS will receive between now and the end of 2024, of which seventeen will be A320neos and the other eight, the larger A321neo version. The new twinjets will replace older Airbus A320 family aircraft in SWISS’ fleet. Thanks to the advanced technology of its Pratt & Whitney engines and its aerodynamic sharklet wingtip extensions, the Airbus A320neo consumes up to 20% less fuel than older comparable aircraft types.

The aircraft are also equipped as standard with noise-reducing vortex generators. As a result, a departing Airbus A320neo has a noise footprint on takeoff which is around half the size of the footprint produced by older aircraft of similar size. “Our new Airbus A320neo family aircraft will substantially further reduce the average age of the SWISS aircraft fleet,” said SWISS CEO, Thomas Klühr. “Once they are all delivered, our aircraft’s average age will be one of the youngest in Europe at around nine years. These billion-franc investments will further enhance our environmental credentials too.” The new SWISS Airbus A320neo also offers substantially more travel comfort to both Business and Economy Class passengers, thanks to its newly-developed seats from Italian manufacturer Geven. With their ergonomic pressure distribution over the backrest and the seat cushion, the new seats deliver a tangibly pleasanter sitting experience. And the horizontal placement of the literature pocket above the seat table is also designed to provide more personal space. The new seats can be reclined to 20 degrees (instead of the previous 12) during the taxi, takeoff and landing phases.   Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions: ● It is forbidden to pull cables with force in the installation and removal of electric pump to avoid wires breaking and joint delinking which lead to normal operation failure and even burns; ● Please ensure correct and reliable cable earthing in the installation of electric pump. It is forbidden for humans or animals to approach operational water area or touch the electric pump when it is working. In order to reduce electric shock risks, it can only be connected with earthing plug; ● Overload operation is forbidden; ● The cables associated with pumps should not be less than 1.2 times of the electric pump area; ● The electric pump must be fastened in the installation. But the cables can not be stressed or rotate together with the electric pump once it is started; ● Once the pump does not produce water in the operation, the electric pump should be checked for any reverse rotation or the check valve at the water outlet mouth should be checked for any residual air; ● Phase-to-phase and relative ground-to-ground insulation resistance of the motor of electric pump should be inspected on a regular basis with the resistance no lower than 2MΩ. Otherwise, the equipment should be disassembled for inspection and repair; ● After half a year of normal operation under stipulated working conditions, the electric pump should be checked for oil room sealing condition.
