For my inspiration I went on the website https://www.shortoftheweek.com to find myself some documentaries that share the story using a narrators voice. Coming onto the first picture this is a short film called BROOKLYNN which is based the impact gun violence has on a family. watching each narrator (the family) talk about the events in such detail could make a big impact on the audience. I like how they sound real and passionate about what they are saying.
The second picture is from the short film JAY which is based on the long filed life of the abstract artist Jay Kyle Peterson. During this 22 minutes Jay talks about his highs and lows in life as well as how he does his work. When he talks he talks firmly but also like he's talking to a friend. He doesn't sound serious ,instead he sound like he's having fun talking to the man asking questions about his life.

Watching these have made me realise how people say what they need to to attract the audience, but from past experiences the serious tone and professional way a narrator reads out the script has always drawn me in. In my documentary I want to sound serious and confident within myself and hopefully I can pull It off.

Continuing the week of compilation albums that made me what I am IF YOU CAN'T PLEASE YOURSELF, YOU CAN'T PLEASE YOUR SOUL My buddy Scott and I would stare long and hard at the import section at the Record Bar (the better of the two record stores at the mall in Houma) wondering what that astonishingly priced $20 record by Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel could possibly sound like. With a name like that, it had to be good! After one such wondering, we decided to check the Sound Shop and there was this Some Bizarre compilation with SFOTW as side 1, track 1 for the amount of money I had leftover from my Tastee Donuts paycheck. We rushed back to his house to put it on and out flew JG Thirwell's WELLLLLLLLLLLL.... followed by a frenzied tirade of sacrilege along with an introduction to Psychic TV, Einstürzende Neubauten, The The, Coil, Yello, Caberet Voltaire, and a particularly scathing "Love Among The Ruined" by Marc Almond of Soft Cell. This record set me on a bizarre course I feel I am still on.

SOUNDCLOUD FIND OF THE WEEK: Nadus
Had the chance to meet Nadus up in MONTREAL with Hesk, aside from producing wicked tracks and being an amazing DJ - he's also super down to earth and was happy to share 14GBs of Juke tracks with us. He's got this day-dreamy style of juke that I am totally digging right now Nadus Tracks worth talking about:

SOUNDCLOUD FIND OF THE WEEK: dookz
***Up until now, my blog has been mostly random - but I've decided to get a little more organized. It's probably no secret that I love all things JUKE so to further engage in the juke/footwork community - I am going to be featuring a new artist that I find on Soundcloud every week. There is SO much talent out there from all over the world, and I honestly don't think I would know about most of it, if Soundcloud didn't exist. So to show my appreciation for both Soundcloud and all the talented artists out there, I give you my first of many weekly posts SOUNDCLOUD FIND OF THE WEEK*** FEBRUARY 9th, 2012 This week's find: dooks Where? Australia About?dont talk, just juke! Tracks worth talking about:
