John Krasinski Gets Crowned People's Sexiest Man Alive 2024!

John Krasinski, from the paper salesman of Dunder Mifflin to Hollywood's sexiest heartthrob! His charm and talent have earned him the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive 2024.

I used to be a John Krasinki fan. I followed him on Twitter during the pandemic when he would post a good news broadcast. I liked when he included his wife, displaying real affection between the couple. But his choice for People’s sexiest man leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth.

This past year he appeared in a couple of heavily played tv commercials for the Canadian cell phone company Rogers, a company that has a big footprint in sports entertainment (as an owner and sponsor).

The commercials are controversial because the ad company that made them has been in a labour dispute with the Canadian actor’s union that has limited opportunities for them to work. Other American actors have declined commercial work with the company in support of the Canadian union. Krasinski didn’t. It’s been brought up in Canada but Rogers, the ad company and Krasinski haven’t commented. Based on the extensive air play, and the speculation of how much he may have been paid it’s bothered a lot of people that they won’t treat Canadian actors fairly but will bring in an outside actor with no connection to the country.

I wish he would explain why he didn’t support the Canadian actor’s union. Or maybe even apologize for being unaware of the issue. So I’ll be filtering the tags for a while on this year’s People Magazine’s sexiest man because he’s not that for me. By doing those commercials his previous appeal is gone and I’m not sure I’ll ever watch him in anything again.

Sorry, don’t @ me to explain otherwise. If you want to gush over him, go ahead and do your thing. I just wanted you to be aware that another nice guy maybe isn’t so nice after all. I’m only posting information that doesn’t seem to be known outside of Canada. That’s all. 🤷‍♀️
