no yeah the first one was Howdy's brief stint (a couple hours) for the whole smoke inhilation minor injuries from the fire thing.

the second one was for Wally's festive lil car crash where he comes very close to Fuckign Dying!!! and. well. technically there are many different visits for that one cause he's in the hospital for a hot sec, but yk. technically only two hospital-worthy events

fr God is good and the whole car crash my parents got into last week was so incredibly mild in terms of injuries!!!! worst was a bruised knee im pretty sure

#ALSO DO NOT READ THE TAGS IF YOURE HERE FOR A GOOD TIME!!!!#ENDED UP VENTING AGHHHHH- (<- amongus ref in 2024???? l+ratio) (no but seriously stay safe; im not sure if i should add a cw???)#no but like the cars themselves?#FOLDED-#ive seen photos of worse ones of course lol (ty internet <3)#but we´re all in agreement that if it had hit anywhere else at that speed it wouldve been BAD Bad-#like; severe injury to the leg at least; drivers door wouldve crumpled; thankfully it hit the tire mostly #our car got what seems to be the lesser damage and theyre still debating if it counts as total loss xd #also oh goshhhh #so i usually go and say goodbye to my dad when hes headed to work; i did it that day as usual; car was already halfway out the driveway #my dog also loves to go and she was already in the car #but my mom (taking my dad to work) said she´d need to stop by the store after dropping dad off; so she handed her back to me #last minute descision-#my dog is a small kinda elderly chihuahua and wouldve been on my mom´s lap when they crashed #no seatbelt for her obviously #she wouldve gotten injured so freaking bad if she was there ):#overall feels like we dodged a life altering accident by a hair #i wasnt even in it and im still shook hahaha #i always go say bye to dad if hes leaving for work no matter if im pissed off or sad or whatever #half out of habit; half bc i know anything could happen at any moment and id rather not have been too proud to say goodbye #dammit im crying now hahaha #saying again; everyones fine!!!!! please remember to hug your loved ones !!!!!!#shut up sheo #but oh gosh too many reminders of death as a constant recently #that happened about a week after a cousin died; i hadnt seen him in forever but his family went to our church growing up; he was my age #it was a dull and distant pain even then to hear the news but it still hurt; i didnt go to the funeral #did go to the one a couple days later tho; for a family member i truly didnt know; it was a car crash i think #a special kind of heartbreak from meeting his mom and seeing his kids running around #now that i realize it; as im writing this; i hadnt stopped to process just about anything hahaha #freaking sobbing at 9 in the morning smh!!!!!

Well, I hope the pro-lifers and the U.S. gov is happy. Cause now pregnant women (who decided to keep their child) and are having pregnancy emergencies, like ectopic pregnancies, blood clots and preeclampsia, placenta complications and decay, birth/labor complications, etc. are being refused treatment to help them survive. Literally even women who are in ORGAN FAILURE are being turned away by hospitals and doctors and are being refused treatment due to abortion laws, or if not outright refused, they’re being put at the bottom of triage. These women who are dying or at risk of dying, are being denied survival for themselves and even possibly their child, because if a mother dies, it’s likely the fetus isn’t gonna have an easy time either. That’s super “pro-life” of these people. So “pro-life” that they’re okay with a woman dying because she tried to have a child and her body couldn’t keep up with the physical demands. When will these dumb fucks realize that it was never and will never just be about the “morals” of birth control. It doesn’t just involve a woman may wanna terminate an unplanned pregnancy, it’s hurting the women who do want to have children too. And if someone can’t bring themselves to agree with pregnancy termination, the least they can do is wake up and realize this is bigger than birth control. It’s literally life or death of full grown women. It’s life or death for your sisters, your mothers, your wives, or even yourself if you’re a woman who’s a pro-life. And these people are dying, literally dying. All because idiots would rather have both mother and child die, than just save the woman who has an actual life.

#omfg this makes me so angry #bc I already knew women were being denied treatment for ectopic pregnancies or were being treated but have been legally punished afterwards #which is enraging enough on its own #but now it’s extending even further into every area of pregnancy care #and not only that but bc they’ve done away with abortion #certain states are trying to get rid of other health care laws #specifically one where if the law is over turned #hospitals/doctors can deny a patient due to finances no matter how severe their condition #like emergency rooms can choose to not treat someone if they think they’re too poor to pay afterwards #like imagine someone getting in a car accident or having a heart attack and the ER won’t treat them bc they have a low SES #that’s what the abortion ban has opened the door too #this is fucking crazy #I hate this country so much #it’s so fucking corrupted #abortion

I shouldn't have gone on the tvtropes page for The Queen's Gambit because they have one for the Netflix series but not the book. And like, I get that stuff has to change for adaptation, but I really don't understand why some of the changes they've listed happened.

#like the tvtropes page says Beth's mom committed suicide in the show? nah man she died in a car accident #also Beth closing her eyes for 'several seconds' in her final match is an understatement #in the book she closed her eyes and meditated on the game for A FULL HOUR #also the show apparently has some model named Cleo? I don't remember her being in the book #she appears to be here as like an additional Jolene because she's filling the ship tease role Jolene has in the book #the narration makes it clear Beth loves Jolene and there's more than a few hints that that love is romantic in nature

I had an entire tag essay about 'why you should wear your seatbelt' going on a post and then my phone died and it lost it so I guess the world (by which I mean people on that Tumblr post) will never know how the one time in my life I consciously decided not to wear a seatbelt in the front seat, my friend flipped his truck in a multi rollover accident and we both were extremely fortunate to survive. if the doors had crumpled out instead of in I would've died at 14. we were both also nearly blinded by glass from our heads shattering the back glass in his truck - I still have a deep scar about a quarter inch from my left eye after 27 years. wear a seatbelt!! just fuckin do it! it only takes once to change or end your life forever

rewatching severance and omg this show makes me insane. it totally benefits from being rewatched and it's insanely good both watches. every little detail is so intentional and carefully considered i have never been so consistently obsessed with 9 episodes of a television show between seasons

#i don't post about it constantly but i am always thinking about severance. visually extremely good+is funny+deeply compelling #anyway this rewatch is strengthening my theory that gemma was rendered braindead in the car accident and #Ms Casey is the only version of her that exists now? the 'rise from your deathbed' thing and then later #cobel gets petey's chip and milchik is like 'is that petey?' and then ms casey comes into the room like #everything in this show is so intentional i feel like calling the chip 'petey' is notable here #ACTUALLY. on second thought that's not a theory so much as just the most reasonable conclusion to draw #but the whole petey chip deal. is that gonna be anything. is innie!petey still alive in some capacity...#logan watches severance
