He's removing his own when you lean towards him a little, cheek first while tapping it with your pointer finger in silent demand for him to touch and admire how soft your skin is. But instead of his fingers on your cheek, you feel his lips and look at him dumbly. "Did you just kiss me?" "You told me to," He's blushing and staring down at the floppy sheet mask in his hands as he folds it up and up and up just so that he doesn't have to look at you. It's adorable. "I meant for you to feel how soft I am. I guess your lips also work for testing that." "Yah! Don't tease me!" He gets up in a huff to throw out his mask and only returns when his cheeks are no longer pink with embarrassment. Though his blush returns when you lean over and press a soft kiss to his cheek. 💋Vernon💋 You're having one of your standard hangouts with Vernon, consisting of chilling in your apartment on the couch watching your latest shared TV show. At some point, it became a habit to stop between episodes and have thorough discussions on the episode; what was good, what was bad, what you think will happen next etc. Vernon even writes down both of your suspicions and predictions for you both to look back at in the future. It's during the break between episodes that it happens. "Come on, we won't have time to watch the next episode if you take much longer!" Vernon teases, nudging you with an elbow from your right. You sway naturally with the nudge away then make yourself collide back with him heavier than needed, making him laugh. He doesn't say anything else, just waits mostly patiently as you hum thoughtfully. He doesn't notice that you're tapping your cheek in thought until he looks back up at you a moment later. All Vernon sees is your head tilted to the left, meaning your cheek is slightly closer to him and your finger tapping your cheek, he leans in without thinking about it and pecks your cheek quickly. And then when he leans back, he goes right back to his notebook to adjust his own prediction a little while you just gawp at him. "So?" He prompts a handful of seconds later and looks at you expectantly. "Are you asking me to rate the random and very unexpected cheek kiss?" "What? No. And what do you mean random and very unexpected? You had your head all tilted and tapping your cheek just like my mom does when she wants a kiss from my dad." "Did you just relate us to your literal parents, Vernon?" He just shrugs, really not sure how he's supposed to act right now, he really had thought you were asking for a kiss but he also doesn't think it's that big of a deal. It's not like he hasn't seen you kissing your friends' cheeks before either. It's just that Vernon himself doesn't do it. So maybe he sees why you're making a big deal out of it(you're actually being very tame compared to the screaming in your head). "Out of curiosity, what does she do when she wants a real kiss?" You ask, innocently looking away even though he can tell by your voice that you're doing something. "Same thing, but on her lips, well that I've seen. I don't really have a habit of watching my parents kiss, you know." "Like this?" You look back at him, eyes still with that innocence he knows is entirely fake as you tap your index finger to the centre of your bottom lip pointedly. It makes Vernon look down at your mouth. He nods, eyes still on your lips. "Huh, interesting." You turn to settle back in your seat and pick the remote up from the slim gap between you on the cushions, but he takes it from your hands. "We're not done." He picks his pen back up. "Place your bets." "Ah, right." You let out a heavy breath and lean back and then, because you've clearly cracked the code, instead of tapping your cheek, your fingertip bounces lightly on your lips. "You're such a shit." Vernon grunts and then he's holding your jaw to turn your face to him so he can press his lips to yours firmly. You immediately giggle happily and grip onto his t-shirt to hold him closer even as his own lips split into a smile too and you're no longer actually kissing. Though very shortly you do get to really smooching and forget all about your show.

💋Chan💋 Lately, you've been trying to learn a new language. So far you've successfully managed to develop a habit of practising every single day, sometimes just pointing at objects to say the translation to yourself and other times you rope in others to help. Admittedly, it's usually Chan as your spare time tends to involve him. And Chan never does things in half so entirely unprompted, he bought supplies to make flashcards together to help. He would've tried to make them himself but he knows nothing about the language you're learning and he didn't want to look online and risk getting inaccurate information on random words you may not have even come across yet in your studies. So that's when it happens; when you're sat side by on the sofa with a little handful of freshly made colourful flashcards full of vocabulary. You've just read a word on one side and are trying to recall what it means, knowing the answer is on the other side but too determined to get it right and unwilling to even let Chan peek and give you a hint. And he's just sitting there, mostly scrolling through social media on his phone in the quiet room to allow you the peace to work away. But this word seems to have stumped you a bit. You've been quieter for longer, so he turns his head to look at you curiously, wondering if you're still working or done and he just miscounted how many translations you've completed so far. The translation actually comes to you when he happens to look at you and you simply say "kiss," lowering your hand from your cheek where you had been thoughtfully prodding your skin. Chan's a little dumbstruck, assuming you're asking for a kiss on your cheek, he didn't think you'd ever do such a thing, yet still, he tilts closer and tentatively presses a sweet little kiss against your skin. You blink in surprise and turn your head to look at him. There's a moment where you just stare at each other from only a few inches apart, and then in sync, you lean in until your lips find one another. Some point later after too many slow, heart-racing kisses to count, Chan sees the flashcard with the word kiss on it and realises what had happened, though he can't say he's at all mad about it. Especially not when he admits it to you and you giggle and pull him back in after calling him precious. Even if you forget every single other word in the language, you know you'll never forget kiss.

jeonghan wasn't a big drinker by any means. sure, he enjoyed the occasional drink with his friends, but it wasnt much of a habit. being a member of seventeen, however, it was quite often that he found himself around alcohol. quite a few of his members enjoyed sharing drinks with one another whenever their schedules allowed. jeonghan, being jeonghan, would always join them, enjoying nothing more than to be around the company of his most loved ones. unfortunately, during these instances he was also away from you, seeing as drinks with his friends tended to be right after work, just before he arrived home to you. this would cause him to make his way into your arms later than usual on the days his friends dragged him away to a pub. you didn't usually mind this, only occasionally pouting at him when he'd come home a bit later than usual without texting you about it beforehand.

today was one of the many days in which jeonghan had found himself at a discreet pub in seoul, accompanied by none other than mingyu, seokmin, chan, seungcheol and joshua, who were all pretty heavy drinkers whenever the mood struck them. jeonghan had prior plans today; it was your birthday tomorrow, so he knew he needed to get home at a timely hour in order to allow you to fall asleep in his arms as your birthday celebrations began. those plans were, however, slightly interrupted by the insistence of a choi seungcheol who adored jeonghan's company and insisted he tag along, even if only for a little while. jeonghan didn't see any harm in this, knowing he didn't have much of a tendency of getting drunk at these gatherings. he could easily make an appearance for one or two hours before excusing himself to go find refuge in your arms.

except that did not happen.

jeonghan wasn't sure how events had turned this way. he had lost most of his sense of self five shots in (what the hell was mingyu feeding him?). he began to go in and out of consciousness, still being aware of his surroundings, but not having many more thoughts past that. the one thing that did manage to slip his mind, however, was his plan to go home to you before the clock struck 12, as it was now 1 in the am. he had fully disregarded his phone too, too distracted with his friends to notice the vibrations on the table.

he woke up the next morning at about 12pm, insane headache and in familiar surroundings. it was joshua's house, he was pretty sure. and he wasn't alone. seungcheol and the rest were also located in different areas of the living room which jeonghan had awoken in. how did he even get here, he wondered. must've called a cab last night. but wait, his phone was out of battery last time he checked it. must've been one of the boys then.

none of these things mattered to jeonghan right now, so he simply got up and charged his phone, heading to the kitchen for a glass of water as he made conversation with joshua, who was the only other member awake at the moment. as soon as his phone charged, jeonghan headed over to grab it, immediately noticing a total tally of 19 notifications, all from you. had something happened? you didn't tend to message him so much. he immediately worried, hurrying to open the messages.

you picked up within three rings, immediately voicing your concerns at him.

it was now 8:33pm. you had expected him to be a bit late, so you didn't mind it. the award show had been live, and it had ended at around 7:30. however, you knew it would likely take him a while to get ready and to get back to the hotel. so you waited patiently, knowing your boyfriend to always stand by his word.

it was at 9:33 that you began to worry. you had already sent him a few texts, not wanting to bother him in case something was going on. you pondered about texting his members just to make sure everything was okay, but decided against it. you didn't want to be pushy.

it wasn't until the clock hit midnight that you'd given up. by then you had already called a few times, only being met by his voicemail. at 12:18 you called his manager, knowing that was your last resort. the response you received was disheartening to say the least. he had informed you that your boyfriend and his group had been taken to an after party, claiming it had been a last minute thing, but that they'd all seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. you decided not to voice your annoyance to joshua's unsuspecting manager, instead choosing to go to sleep, sad and dejected.

despite popular belief, jihoon was not as emotionally constipated as he seemed. he was a great boyfriend, always making sure you felt loved and tended to. you were always one his top priorities, so he would do his best to spend as much time with you despite his packed schedule. you were also one of the only people who made him want to clock out at the end of the day, knowing you'd always be home waiting for him with open arms. jihoon, however, still had the tendency of sometimes holing himself up in his studio. during these periods of time, jihoon would cut off most contact from the outside world, being hard to reach for a few days as he stayed over at his studio without ever making it home.

this week was one of those times. jihoon never really scheduled these occasions. they'd just somehow end up happening whenever he had a spurt of inspiration, being able to conjure an entire series of songs he believed would perform well together. he liked to keep things organized, after all. any time he disappeared for over 24 hours, you could safely assume he was in his studio, not even allowing himself the simple pleasure of going on his phone to message you. for entertainment, he would sometimes allow himself some anime in between work, but not much more than that. he'd still leave the studio occasionally to show up to dance practice and such, but he would not interact with anyone other than his members, his manager, and maybe some staff if need be.

he knew this might be a bit too much, but it was all part of the creative process. as of today, it had been three days since he had left the hybe building, having given his manager full control over his phone as he wished to remain as productive as possible. he knew that one single text from you and he'd haul ass back home, too lost in the bliss of your presence to get himself to do any work. he missed you, of course, but this was not your first rodeo. the two of you had gone through this before, and it seemed like you accepted his weird work habits, having never complained nor shown discomfort over them. which was why he was quite shocked upon finally exiting the building four days later and calling you up in order to finally check in on you, but not finding the usual response.

the first thing he did as soon as he got his phone back was he call a few times, but he had received no response, which was quite strange from you. he knew it was kind of hypocritical to expect an immediate response considering he had gone off the grid for a few days, but he also knew you were usually free at this hour, so he had expected the usual reaction in which you'd jokingly curse him out for ghosting you followed by an invitation to come over.

he decided then to open his imessage, choosing to instead text you and maybe check in on any of the notifications that never arrived due to having kept his phone muted and away from his reach for the past few days. that was when he realized his grave mistake.

choi seungcheol is a protector through and through (you could say that sometimes he’s a tad too protective, but it’s simply because he loves you so much and he would most likely end up with a meltdown if he saw you hurt). covering sharp corners, walking on the outside of the pavement, holding your hand in big crowds, cutting the meat for you - doing all of these things is like second nature for cheol. he never thinks about doing them, like “oh, they dropped their spoon, maybe i should cover the table corner so they don’t bump their head”. no no. he just does it, simple as that. and good luck to the person that tries to make you uncomfortable or invade your personal space because well… choi seungcheol will fight them

jeonghan, as someone who gets cold easily, is very vary around the people around him being cold as well. he’s always more than happy to share some of his body heat with someone else, especially because hugging means more warmth. when it comes to you, though, there is no way you’re getting out of the house without a thick scarf and a beanie. it doesn’t matter if you get easily cold or not, jeonghan does not let you out of the house before you’re properly bundled up. the first thing he grabs when you’re getting ready to go out is your/ his scarf and a beanie, and he dresses you up like a mom dresses up a child, but there’s nothing you can do about it. and if you come to the practice room without anything wrapped around your neck, jeonghan is quick to change that, as he pulls out his own scarf to give it to you.

as a person who wears glasses himself he knows how annoying and uncomfortable it is to fall asleep with your glasses on (not to mention that they can break too), so this is as natural as breathing for him. he probably has a couple of photos in his camera roll of you asleep with your glasses on, but sometimes you look too adorable for him not to take a quick picture for him to coo over later. he always gently takes them off as not to wake you up, and places a kiss on your forehead, before putting your glasses away so they wouldn’t break on accident.

woozi is an insanely attentive man, which is one of the reasons why he’s so great at those silent acts of service that make your heart flutter so much. he picks up the smallest things - like shifts in your mood when you’re upset or feeling a bit down, and while at the beginning of your relationship he was a bit awkward with that since he wasn’t really sure how to help you, now he knows exactly what you need. it’s not even that he has to think about holding your hand or hugging you, or just simply sitting next to you - it’s almost like his body gravitates towards you on its own, like it knows you need him by his side in that moment. you could argue that it’s the bare minimum (which it is), but with jihoon it’s so natural, like i hope you get what i’m trying to say - but the way he’s always there right by your side when you need him without having to mention that you’re not feeling that well is everything you could ever ask for.

there’s just something about vernon and him noticing all of those small things about you, and what you love. and one thing you definitely love is him and your snacks. he noticed early in your relationship that you had a drawer in your kitchen dedicated solemnly to your favourite snacks, but also how bad you were at refilling it. thus, he took it upon himself to refill it so you could always have something to munch on, and with time it became such a habit of his that he stopped paying attention that he was actually doing it. whenever he was doing grocery it was obvious to him that the first aisle he had to go to was the snacks aisle so he could pick up all of your favourites.
